"It's not that he's suddenly bad. It's just that he was only fine as opposed to amazing. And again, this was mentioned on chin music. But the elite guys tend to just be elite all the time. And so we can kind of scratch that off as being a likely outcome for Jason Dominguez that he will be. I think the chances of him being 11th on next year's list are probably less than Kevin does. I don't think that's actually feasible. Maybe it is, but I'd be surprised if you were that high like I just think that this is a good teenage center field prospect. There are some weird stuff going on with how Buffy is. And I make the Zion Williamson comp in the blurb, where it's like in this area where, wow, this guy's big, I don't know if that's good. It is so distinct, separate from the other guys. There was a wide receiver at USC named Mike Williams who the Lions drafted, who was also in this area. It was like 6 6 two 40. Is this guy even a wide receiver? And it didn't work, but Calvin Johnson worked. And these are just the types of guys who stand apart from everybody else physically and you're not always sure if it's good, and sometimes it's O'Neill cruise. And sometimes it's not. But Jason Dominguez, he's still a good teenage center field prospect, like the fact that he is average raw power. Measurably and plus raw power visually at his age and is a switch hitting center Fielder like that's exciting. And we've seen there are plenty of examples of guys who have leaned back down and reclaimed like we saw Julio Rodriguez do it. Right. Julio Rodriguez was bulky. Running four four four 5 in the fall league in 2019. And it was fine. He was crushing. And it was fine. It didn't matter, because he was crushing. And there's still plenty of time for Jason Dominguez. How much weight did Forrest whitley lose between his junior year of high school and his senior year high school. You saw what that did for him and I think that all that stuff is still in play for this guy. So one of the most frequent questions you guys get when you do the chat that accompanies the top 100 is who is going to make this list next year because people don't let us enjoy thanks for even ten minutes before they try to hoist another top 100 on us and answer to that is the click column. I will not make you go through every one of these guys because I think there are 40 some odd players who you've identified as picks to click, but are there a couple of guys who did not make the cut this year so they are not 50 future value players at this moment but who you feel particularly confident in their ability to sort of move up that list either as we do updates to this in the course of 2022 or as new arrivals in 2023. I kind of like drew Romo Eric and I both noted him as a pick the click. Which makes me say, maybe we should have just put him on the list. But it's a solid defense, very big arm, and performed offensively, I think, better than people expected coming out of high school. I think he's a really intriguing catching prospect. One of the guys, some of the these draftees you think could end up really performing, trace weenies, a really good example of that kind of guy who might just throw up big numbers. And then Eric and I have both got like early Intel on peak pro Armstrong who was a first round pick who got traded from the mets of the cubs, who, you know, the cubs are very big on re-engineering swings and they've re-engineered his swing already, and I know that they're very encouraged by the results and this guy was always somebody who was a plus plus center Fielder. Like I was just a monster defender with some interesting officer profiles, and if he could end up really hitting Elsa, he gets very interesting. Yeah, Kevin and I are both on Romo and PCA. I saw Pete crow Armstrong TPP a couple weeks ago in a swing is different. So it was funny that we came to know that in different ways. And I was I was shocked and surprised as people started filling out the sheet with their picks to click like that he was on there for Kevin already. Romo, yeah, like the other catcher I really like is Andy Rodriguez with Pittsburgh, just really great feel to hit can catch can play the outfield corners and first base. He's going to be not quite like Dalton varsha where there's you can justify running him out there and center field, but there is can catch multi positional utility, better ball skills, a lot of the stuff that I tend to like. And then the group that the most click the most clicks tend to come from, historically, is the this is what they look like group. Where there's nothing statistical about why we care about them. It is just boy, look at this guy's body. Look at his athleticism. He can play up the middle of the diamond and is going to have power when he's physically mature. And my guy in this group this year is Jose Ramos with the Dodgers whose 21 he went ballistic on extended spring training had like 6 or 8 homers during the four week extended spring training window and then went to Rancho Cucamonga and some of his approach was exposed there, but he continued to hit for power and it's the colleague and so take that with a grain of salt, but big 6 three one 80 projectable has a chance to stay in center field and hit for a real big power anti pais who's on the towards like the back third of the list. Is the same age as Jose Ramos. It was basically doing this type of stuff, a level and a half ahead of Ramos. And so it was hard to justify like slam dunking. Ramos on the list with that context, especially immediately like in the Dodgers system to 50 pi Hays and Ramos both like didn't seem correct to do. So he's on my list for guys next year. Let me ask you about two guys who I guess should have been on the picks to click list last year in hindsight. I think I may have heard you talk about the audio Eric. But two teenaged middle infielders in the AL east who have climbed lists lately and that is Anthony volpe of the Yankees at number 12 and Nick York of the Red Sox at number 29. These are both former first round guys who have surprised. So how is it that they have vaulted themselves to where they are now and is there anything that can be learned that is more generalizable to future prospects like them? I mean, I think we look at volpe, he just like nobody kind of, I hate to say it took advantage of. Nobody made better adjustments to what was going on in 2020 better than volpe, who worked every day. But a worked on just his body. In terms of working out, but also worked every day on his swing with a private hitting coach and really kind of re-engineered it. And was able to both develop power and tap into it and you see the results in the stat sheet and at the.

"We did hit 12 more months and 77 games and there's some EVs to back up some of the things he does not in the sense that he has real power, but at least he has sneaky pop and the ability to impact a baseball when at times before his religious kind of a slap and dash got. And so the fact that he's doing that and to absolutely no cost to whatsoever of the incredible contact scale, I think, really speaks to something. We talked about the catchers at the top of the list, there's also a catcher toward the bottom of the list just at one 13 Joey part of the Giants. And he has, of course, been thrust into a pretty prominent role this year because of the retirement of Buster Posey and you noted in the blurbs that this could be a big make or break year for him. So what are some of the concerns? And what is still the upside? Did anybody take Johnny parida in your minor league free agent draft? I don't think so, but maybe we should have. Oh wait, maybe I did. Did you? I took a giants catcher. Ah, okay. All right. I don't remember now. I think I took it because I was like, they're not keen on Bart. I think that's what I did, 'cause I historically, I'm really great at the minor league free agent dress. Anyway, yeah, like in addition to Joey Bart swinging and missing a ton. And some of this stuff was already present in the profile, right? But it just would start to be on the phone with baseball people. Made it sound like the Giants didn't really value Joey Bart very much. Based on some of the tones of trade discussions and stuff like that. So if this guy does the zanino thing and to this point he is tracked almost exactly like that where he was thrust into the big leagues prematurely because of other circumstances. Like this guy was just in the big leagues for a little while in 2020. So, you know, is there going to be some late career bouncer where he starts getting to more of this power? Maybe. And so maybe he doesn't end up having like a Nino trajectory things end up being very good. But there's real risk around the hit tool now. He's just in that Corey Lee Dillon dingler bucket where we're not confident that they're going to hit, but they do so much other stuff. But I do think that this catching situation in San Francisco with casale, who I also like and Bart, and then yeah, Johnny pareto, who's run, strikeout rates in the low teens, basically his whole life. He's been was traded from the cubs to the Red Sox at one point, signed as a minor league free agent with no Buster Posey in San Francisco. I will have my eye on Johnny pareto during theoretical big league spring training coming up here. Just because I think that this is an interesting mix that still has some volatility. Yeah. It's fourth round minor league free agent draft pick, Johnny parade it to all of you. They didn't 40 man Ricardo genoves, right? Like there's other stuff happening here. That indicates they don't have a third 40 man catcher right now. I do think parade has a chance to work his way into this mix. We still have half an off season ago. Don't remind me. I'm curious and if you can pull the curtain back a little bit and tell us which of the guys who either made this list or maybe were left off, generated the most internal disagreement between the three of you and then also maybe represented the broadest range of potential future value tears externally when you were talking to team sources. Who would we fight about? I'm higher on CJ Abrams and Kevin. That's true. I think that we're talking about plus plus run and real feel for contact plus still room on the body performed okay at double-A as a 20 year old, then got hurt. If you want to say that we're too high because of some of the risk related to the injury and the loss developmental time, I'd buy that. But I really think there's still so much more raw power coming for CJ Abrams and he's going to play somewhere up in the middle. Don't know if it's going to be shortstop. I don't think it is. He's definitely gotten better there, but the guys who tend to stay there aren't the ones who we have any doubt about. So he's one of them. Yeah. I'm the guy who hates queen priest or more than the other two, quin priester's fastball is sixto Sancho's shape, but 6 or 7 miles an hour or less. And so it's a real scary, scary pitch for me. He's trying to mitigate that with by developing a cutter. But his fastball shape just terrifies me as to his ability to even get to the big leagues at this point. I think I was more willing to take a long-term bet on Christian pace than the two of you guys and I'm probably also a little bit higher on just the guys I've seen a lot in person and tend to believe until like Kevin Alcantara, mostly Kevin akin Tara and the other the other two cubs kids, I think maybe are in that mix. That's probably about it. Priester was definitely a hot button issue for a little while, and there were times when there were various shortstops who ended up littered throughout the 50 future value to your close to 50th overall who at times we wanted to 55 and like really amp into that top 30 area. And Jeremy Pena was the only one of that group who ended up sticking Kevin thinks that Pena will get you a little bit more power than I tend to. But I think that's largely the crux of it. What's the story with Jason Dominguez, who I feel like even non prospect people know Jason Dominguez and his record breaking baseball card sales, but he's number 73 on the list. He's actually your third ranked Yankees prospect, which doesn't seem to quite match some of the hype that's out there. Is that just a product of the fact that he's 19 and a young 19 and you have a 2025 ETA on him and that's a long ways away? I mean, it plays a big role. I mean, this is another high variable guy, and he didn't live up to expectations when he finally played, and at the same time like living up to the expectations that he had were impossible. You mean he's not actually Mickey Mantle? If he played like Mickey Mantle people, oh no, I thought he'd be better than this. This would be all over his ass. And so yeah, the body has changed in a way that was not good, but it looked better during the second half of his season. And it's just like this variability and we talked about this on the episode I did two musical there, but like he's 73 now. If Jason Dominguez is number 11 next year, I'm not going to be shocked and if Jason Dominguez is none the list next year, I'm not going to be shocked. You know, that's the kind of variability we're talking about like all the tools in the upside are there, but at some point when you're talking about prospects, you have to stop talking about that because they have to do something. And he just didn't do much..

"We'll see. We'll find out. If you need chemistry, maybe Jack Peterson's your guy, but we'll see where else the egg you spend their money. People are definitely going to overpay everybody who just helped the braves win the World Series. And then we're gonna wake up on June 1st next year and be like, why wasn't that good? No. Why isn't it happening again? That's just baseball. Paying the two. Paying the 2003 Marlins in 2004. Why do we have Karl pavano? Game basic deal. So before we sign off real quick, just want to deal with, you know, something that kind of caught my attention. Not gonna draw. We've been conclusions, but it does feel worth it just to point out as we enter a prospect trade season everybody trying to move people around, move the chess pieces, do whatever you're going to do. Anthony won't be as now not just a fast riser. He is the consensus Yankees number one prospect. There's no debate here anymore. Adjusting. Now I'm on a live stream everybody sees my foot adjusts. Sorry guys, I'm gonna adjust my Anthony boulby is the consensus number one top prospect. Baseball America just came out with the ring. He's again, we know it. It's great. Can't wait for him. He's gonna arrive some day. Love it. Hometown pride, exactly what I want Gary Cole to be. Yankee fan from birth will be New Yorker, New Jersey guy, amazing. Number two on baseball America's new list. Oswald peraza. Yeah. Also a shortstop. Also similar timeline. People are saying 2023 for both. And that's great. I don't think both of those people are going to stay. No, Yankees. At least not through the trade deadline. But most importantly, Jason Dominguez third. And part of that's piza and volpi just playing extremely well and playing a really important position. Some of that is Dominguez's first taste of Pro Bowl wasn't quite as effortless as maybe some people expected. Some of the baseball America article talks about how if he reaches the ceiling it could be a projected regular in center field now. That doesn't mean it projected MLB regular. It's a tough ceiling the hit, but then again, that's not Mickey Mantle, that's not Mike Trout. That's not quite the Jesus thing as we were promised. And it's sort of a cautionary tale in that look, you know, nothing wrong with being the Yankees the best prospect, pretty good system. He's going to have to show a lot more in 2022 to keep this pedigree up and it makes you think about what really is untreatable. Is that untreatable is a slightly less shiny center field prospect who's not going to make the major leagues for three more years, really? Not something you're willing to part with for a José Ramírez or a mad Olson..

"He is number sixty when it comes to overall prospects and then cade cavalli number forty. What twenty twenty first round pick. Who looks like a steelers. He slipped down the boards. They're a little bit so washington with the trades. They made go from number thirty up to number twenty and then asked to make you feel a little bit better as nationals fan. Knowing that you've got some nice nice prospects in return for these deals and number. Nineteen you got the new york yankees up there they're down from eighteen in the preseason ranking. They would have been a few spots higher if they didn't part with ten legitimate prospects for gallo rizzo haney and homes at the trade deadline but anthony volpe shortstop revolt the number fifteen overall prospect. He's rocketed up the board here and number twenty year. Twenty twenty one jason dominguez number seventeen overall. He's been very good. Oswald peraza a shortstop at number sixty four overall so those guys strong international flavor when it comes to this system but those guys have been fantastic. Summers in jumping up the prospect boards have kept new york where they are so they move on from ten prospects and only fall from eighteen to nineteen goes to show the depth that they have in new york and the job. Well done for the yankees. The last one will do here for same number three is number eighteen. The chicago cubs up from twenty two now again major influx of talent since the end of last season. They traded for a lot of people here at the deadline. They brought in. Pete crowe armstrong. Oh in cassie alexander canario reginald prosciutto caleb killian international signings of christian hernandez drafting jordan wicks and shortstop. James triandos. all of these guys now in the top thirty has the cubs moving up this list. A little bit now. They only have brennan davis and braila marquee in the top one hundred but again the depth the quantity of their prospects maybe not the quality at first chicago but the quantity and their top thirty is very good and move them from twenty two to eighteen so i think he wanted to see more if you were chicago but ultimately still trending in the right direction. Now these guys can perform all will be well for the cubs so that'll do it for segment number.

"What's up everybody. Welcome to the bronx hint show. It's a friday but it's not a friday fights. It's just a friday reaction to a god damn busy week. The yankees land. Busy week baseball man. There's a lot of. There's a lot of always traded shaking but this this this year seems extra extra special. There's a lot of things happening so it's exciting. It's fun and i. I think in the last podcast. I actually talked myself into gallo only because i talked you into yellow find. I got caught into gallo. I got talked into gallo understating the fact that it i mean. It's like absolutely a perfect fit. For what the yankees were looking for and then it ended up being even more of a perfect fit because of the way that texas was gonna take all the salary and that's surprising that's surprise me that the the package ended up going. They got four prospects. None of them were the highly ranked guys in the yankees system. Which is awesome. Because like i was like oh clark schmidt in the deal we knew. Obviously jason dominguez is not in the deal. But you never knew if like clark schmitz going. get delta's is debbie garcia. You're gonna get dealt. None of the names that i think a lotta yankees fans are very familiar with got dealt it. It almost seems like both experts on both sides are saying good deal for all. But i think the the surprising thing is that texas agreed to take all of the salary involved. Texas is paying all of route door salary playing for the yankees and now they're paying all of joey gallo and julie rodriguez's salary playing for the yankees. It's amazing i mean part of it. Great like that. The yankees were able to do this. Because obviously you're not adding salary and you're adding quality player in joey gallo but it's also pretty apparent very not willing to go over the luxury tax. No matter what i mean we. There's nothing there's nothing new about this. We absolutely there is always the caveat but there was always the caveat if the right move at the deadline is there. Will they do it. And the answer was always no no because the answer was always know because if they were willing to do it at the trade deadline then they would have done it in the off season and they would have had more opportunities. They could have strategized and been more intentional with the way they would have done it. If it was in the off season it would have been part of a plan whereas this is a lot more. Reactionary this at the end of the day. Look i mean we can knock cashman and boon for all the things that are happening this year and the makeup of the roster and yes is joey gallo. doubling down on the fact that it's another swing and miss guy. Yes it is. It's absolutely that he's a he's a bad from a left hand side he does walk a lot as on. Base percentage is good. He's a very good defender as well. Hold on the only hitter in texas lineup. though like that is one thing to point out that he okay. That's a good thing but that's a good thing because to me if he's more supported and there's guys around him that gives them protection hopefully he gets more strikes. Hopefully he's able to barrel up a little bit better too so there's a lot of depending on how you look at. It could be good. But i mean he fits a bill. He's a good outfielder who the yankees needed another outfielder and they needed the lefty bat done checkmark. Now a controlled. Like the fact that he's controlled and texas is paying for joey gallo for to be a new york. Yankee is a no brainer. When you look at the guys that we gave up the ran was the best again. This is this is from fan graphs. I tweeted this out the other night on the six. That were rumored on your. I understand there. But so the redid their rankings and updated them in the rangers organization. The ran would be number three. In the rangers organization. One twenty two overall smith is a second baseman number. Eight hobart hobart whatever. His name is number. Thirty two is second baseman and then otto who is the guy that people keep talking about is going to be number thirty eight in their organization. These are not the thirty eight in the rangers organization who had the nineteenth ranked or a minor leagues and bumped up the fifteenth according to fan graphs. After this trade. That is a middle of the pack. That is a middle of the pack farms. You versus the yankees. The yankees strengthen. Their farm system was depth and they pull some their death in order to make this move so kudos to cash in on getting that done without having to give up one of the big names. I of course if in four years from now one of these prospects for the rangers turns into a stud and joey gallo just is whatever. He is for the yankees. Then people are gonna crush cashman for. But i think we have to remember at the time. This is the a piece outfielder. I know he strikes out a lot but he's a major league affiliate an all star. This year have only one of those outfield currently so now they have to. That's a good thing. it's a good thing. No there's no doubt you're not gonna fix this lineup with one guy if you go a different way so you might as well double down on the strikes of what they are. They're gonna hit the ball hopefully and some of these guys that look. I think a lot of this also is assuming that there's going to be a a.

"You shut them down. The answer was a freudian slip. Wild you're right. You said it you've been doing mugs. You're like the dirty factor the dirty factor that is not how we need to represent his country in the mind. Is patrick beverley kim. He don't need no padua give you hard. You'll start playing. Are we win the you wanna politely way. Silver was bad enough. I second half of the season gets rolling tonight. Foster sportsbook has the defending champion dodgers favorites to repeat followed closely by the astros and padres still plenty of baseball left. That's the good news. Wilde's what you got for us. Well be honest with you. When i through my notes i didn't. I threw my jason dominguez notes. But here's jason dominguez was just graded to Low low a. in tampa. He's one of the yankees best prospects number one. He has a little bit of problem sliding but they call them the martian. You don't greek freak. Wow he's got freakish skills they caused. The martian is so good sliding not great but overall and amazing player. Keep your eye on it. Hey it's painful to watch Let's talk some football we're gonna ask are wide receiver brandon. Lynch guy is the best guy at the position right now in the nfl. Not gonna wanna miss it first. Things first on friday morning rolling on all right brandon. Here we go. We're talking best wide receivers game today. That after a recent poll of executives coaches scouts and players named the top. Ten pass catchers in the game. These stars scarfs with davante adams. De'andre hopkins then you got stefan. Dick's tommy kill and bouillaud in the top five. Then we have keenan allen. Mike evans michael. Thomas de came metcalf became an aj brown a lot on this list. There are a lot lift off this list. I thought i'd see o b j on here brandon. you are our number one ride receiver. I'm a close second. What was your thinking away from the list. Listen well first of all. This is the most uncomfortable thing for me to ever talk about on television. I don't know why i can talk about. Db's i talk about quarterbacks i could talk about jay cutler myself but we talked about the top ten wide receivers so uncomfortable one because we're sensitive and what happens is if you don't put the guy in the right spot they're going to end up calling you tweeting you or maybe on falling you so you got to talk about that all right but when you look at this from the other side is well. There's so many other guys that's deserving to be in this conversation. Where's adam phelan talk to me. Why isn't adam on the top ten. Where's justin gentlemen guys that 'cause you gotta dern listen i'm not gonna removing your there is it's only ten people go ahead. That's fine rearranging. Somebody feeling getting on their pow but go ahead. I'll leave you alone. Oh wow wow. Wow wow this. Maria raises a little bit. First of all when. I look at the top wide receivers. That means you can beat man to man. That means you're going to get jalen ramsey. He is the best in the league. When you talk about at the position why because he can follow you anywhere in a field you in the slot he can cover you. Go outside to the white site you cover you. You want to go back to the short side. he can cover you. It doesn't matter there's only three or four guys in the nfl. That can get the job done. Like jalen ramsey. So you take these wide receivers you put in front of jalen who can beat this guy. So that's that's what i'm working off of. I'm not working off quarterbacks. I'm not working. Offsets the andre hopkins hopkins right now. Is the number one wide receiver in the game. He's not the quickest. he's not the fastest. Well he'll beat you time after time after time and when it's one on one and also in tight windows he's gonna make every single kit and that's open in the national football league. It's not about. Oh am i two yards. Ah two yards of separation. Three years it's about inches and when it's about inches you gotta have strong hands to get the job done in those clutch moments third and seven game is on the line. Thirty one to you. Got one on one. You know that seventy time. They're going to play one in that position. Can you win on this land k. You went on the back shoulder. Can you win on a non stop. This guy has done it with no quarterback go back before discern watson. He was getting done. You disarm watts. He's getting and then oh in his first year he gets it done. So then you go to my number two and this is adams. Green bay yes. He has office of minded coach. Yes he has. Aaron rodgers but i can assure you one thing. This boy's feet is something different. Adams has everything he can play in a slot. He complained on the frontside backside. Whilst this dude is just different and digs he can easily be in the conversation. Be number one as well. His star in stop is next level the. Nfl's never seen any quickness like this before the dude is small but he plays huge. So those are my top three. I put the andre hopkins one adams to and big three and man you can easily interchange all of them. I love the fact that you hate list so much in that. Nick loves lives so much. Just make this a wonderful wonderful segment. You've never this pig for brandon marshall a little bit like my mother or we're doing the wedding list like mom. If want you know ought channon on sharon in someone's gotta go. She's like no one's going just more people are being added. I'm like one of top. Twenty one is show. You can quote from the chicago tribune about someone that belongs on the top ten brain allen. Robbins it we're gonna put up a quote already to it. Mentioned another zebra get spoiler spoiler alert. It's brandon so basically saying like eight. He had a great year right. Robinson at one hundred and two catchers twelve hundred yards six touchdowns last season becoming just the fourth player in team history to record at least one hundred seven season brandon. Marshall reached that milestone twice with one hundred and eighteen catches in two thousand twelve and one hundred the next season. So two questions for you one. Do you think you'll be able to replicate last season success in. How does having a rookie quarterback sort of fit into it. We don't know when justin field is going to start but do you like the idea of having a first start or do you think on ron's like oh. I like old reliable red rifle ono. I mean he he'll get it done with anybody. There's a couple of receivers. That's why i talked about the andrea hopkins when you have these big wide receivers. That's not the quickest. That's not the fastest. You tend to overlook them you go with the oh. They're fast faster so quick. Look at their moves. But this is a guy that you can put backside short side of the feel mono vs mono okay and he's gonna win play after after play. It doesn't matter. It's not going to be a lot of separations. But his hands is strong. He can adjust a ball in the air. It doesn't matter you gotta do. If you'll see one on one throw him the ball chicago i can. I can assure you that all you gotta do read the field quarterback if it's one high and you have numbers that you have it backside just go slant just go nine stop. Just go back solar. Just go go. He is open when he's covered. Just throwing up on. Wilde's i'm so glad you brought him up because this is someone that can easily be in the top ten but because of the situation. Nobody talks about him nick. So here's what. I find so interesting about all of this because wild is right. Pardon me i love. Lists and i could parts of bit on this. I think keenan. Allen might be touched by i personally even though he was hurt would have odell on there. Like there's a few things. I'd probably have decay ahead of mike evans. But for the most part this they've got the bones of this right but what i find most interesting is what this list represents as far as the undeniable fact that we are in the golden age of wide receivers. And here's what i mean. You mentioned feeling odell. Allen robinson and justin jefferson. I think you mentioned either on or off. The air four is that didn't make the top ten. So i love lists enough that i went back in five year increments and looked at ninety. Five two thousand and two thousand five two thousand ten. What would the top ten wide receiver lists have been then in nineteen ninety five. We had five alzheimer's playing in their primes. But once you got past those guys in the top ten was yancey big ben and brett perriman in two thousand in the top ten would have been easy. Ed mccaffrey and eric moult in. Oh five in your top ten receivers. Was joey galloway in donald driver again. All good players but guys who wouldn't crack the current top fifteen even as late as do thousand ten. Mike wallace and santana moss were clear. Cut top ten receivers and it's really starting around twenty fifteen which you look at twenty fifteen brandon. You had a monster and it's like geez. Louise like how many we've got a dozen great receivers. So here's what i want to compare it to. Can we show the top ten running backs list because it's a reversal of how would have been in the nineties. So there's another ends joan ryan and josh jacobs. They're good players. But if you look at like the two thousand nine hundred and ninety five thirteen hundred yards and was barely a top ten running back so what you're seeing not only is the game becoming more aerial but this skill level has met the moment. You are seeing the deepest crop of awesome receivers we've ever had and it started around near the tail. End of your career brandon to right now is like a top ten list. your rookie. Year brandon was not that hard to make. It's like do we have ten great receivers. I don't know now you're leaving. Awesome players off and that to me speaks to how deep the position is right. Why well let's talk about the. Why make you one hundred percent. You had guys going from gaining drafted going from college into the nfl and sitting for a year or two. This system was too complicated. The guys in front of them were just better. They couldn't make that transition quick enough. Go back and you can also break down those times to see how many guys exploded as rookie. That's why we talked talked about justice. Jefferson say why isn't he on his. He just beat all randy rookie records right. This do is a guy that can get it done over and over again. The reason why is because seven on seven. That's why you can now play full correct year round. And what do you do in seven on seven. Right you're running route. Everybody has to catch the balls to running backs. Aren't running backs on seventy seven or wide receivers if you're not catching the ball. You're not gonna play on those seven. Those great seven on seven teams in florida in georgia in la in texas. And you go on and on and on and these guys also have access to footage. So they're coming in as better wide receivers. They're watching odell beckham. junior's a workout off season. You can youtube it. You can google love saying that. So that's why you're seeing. He'll players come in and make an impact right away because seven on seven and do across sport comparison. What are the two pre game warm ups. People are most interested in shohei ohtani batting practice. Notwithstanding steph curry shooting from six thirty five feet and wide receivers in the end zone with the headphones on making these insane one handed catches that evolution of the shooter in the nba has mirrored the growth of the evolution of the wide receiver in the nfl. It's that guys have seen where young players have seen where the games are going. The best guys at age thirteen fourteen fifteen or via youtube. Whatever it is figuring out what drills i need to do. How can i break into house of athlete and pretend i'm a member and get some workouts in different. Got to do to try to get to that level. And i think you're just seeing it because it is insane that atom dealing and odell are not right now according to this list top ten receivers but it's hard to find guys to move out make sense and it just speaks to how great how great the talent level is right now. Twenty next time won't help. You'll just have twenty miles. Mom just like wild mom. Let's set this aside for now. Get back to the nba finals. But what is the biggest key to tomorrow. Night's crucial game five. We.

"Yet but to your point you're talking about everything around it so when you think about chris paul. It's about how he did it. We're the lakers. First series. his shoulder overcoming is he playing he plane. He's playing with one shoulder. he's still impacting. The guys he's still cheering on the sidelines or leading on the sideline are the big game. Thirty point he's thirty six years of eight so it's how he did if he came in and he was just giving us fifteen points a couple of couple rebounds then it wouldn't be that big of a deal but he's been the big one probably the biggest story line of the playoffs so now you get to the series. I mean to the finals and you emplo. That can't happen now. Look i still have them winning jenna. But chris paul's wouldn't have to play better fifteen turnovers and three games. That can't happen from the point. God but but we also can't act like he hasn't had a great game in these finals. The first game of the finals scored thirty two points. The fourth game of the finals. He was really bad. The second game of the finals like a b. Plus game the third game of the finals legacy a see game. Gammit i just i. If the first game of these finals he was terrible and they lost and the fourth game he had the thirty two points. Nobody's talking about this and so that to me. That's just the context of the last nine days. When we're talking about legacies we're gonna the context of the next ninety years like listen. I think they're going to lose. Hey i pol one of the greatest players ever and adam to the list of guys great guys without a ring which is not terrible company to be all right. We're going to have much more in this crisper. Starred will join us in a little bit in way on it. But i wanna talk a little bit about team. Usa basketball they got an open roster spot now with bradley beal. In the health and safety protocols which player should they pick guys will tell you next. This is i first thing. I drawing a blank. It doesn't matter what i team. Usa has no spots bill. Unfortunately wizard star bradley. Beal is in elephants safety protocols meaning he will miss the tokyo olympics so this is interesting. Trae young posted this isaiah clip from last dance. I met the criteria to be selected. But i wasn't so brandon replacement for bradley beal on team. Usa should be listen. I feel trade. You know he's coming off of a few big series and what he did in atlanta this year. What he did in these playoffs but at the end of the day. I don't know if those fever ref is going to blow well with him and his rallies team but zionism high. That's out there. But i wouldn't go that way. Who are we go with somebody who can get it done. Sometimes you got a call in the navy seals just just just a small team younger. Go with the army. The navy news. You see somebody that knows. What they're doing is going to get it done. Somebody that's been on a team that was considered team nightmare. And then he was on a redeem team and then he came back and some other things. That's mellow anthony brandon carmel ending. What are you talking about. Listen put on instagram right. Now you'll see carmelo. Anthony still getting bucket still working his game in on the biggest in olympics. This is what he's done. That's all just first. Placing games in points rebounds. Three points may feel goes like. This is perfect for carmelo anthony. You don't need the biggest guys you don't need the youngest. Gosh guys gonna come in and get it done right away. So i'm going camello anthony. What you got married into great answer to great answer and i was trying to see how many three pointers away mellow is from. Having first in everything. I couldn't quite get it in time. I'd love to see mellow end up being the record holder and essentially everything and i would like to see mellow added to this team. But it doesn't really solve the issues. So i would add trae and zaylon kevin love. You gotta go to buddy. Sorry i know team. Usa not just being in cleveland they okay. Listen sorry je bradley. Beal and kevin love can both go. We're going to get some energy from zion. We're going to get some play making trae. The thing with mellow and i would love to have him on the team. We've got plenty of guys can spot up. Hit jump shots. We need some playmaking and we need some energy. I think trey and zion would provide that so trey can replace bradley. Beal and zion can replace. Kevin love who i really really like. Buddies gotta go. We're trying to win the gold here america. Okay he's gotta go wild. I'm going to start with a quote. This person was on the usa team usa under nine hundred when he was arkansas. Here's the quote when that was announced from Arkansas razorbacks dot com in two thousand fourteen. We know us. He is a guy who is going to play extremely hard and they competitive spirit. You know with that guy is patrick. Beverley and wild. Patrick beverley you want beverly on the olympic team. Yeah you know what i do. You got plenty of sports. Do you need a little play making sure so if you want if you wanna get lamelo lamelo on. I'm fine but they're still going to be a spot for patrick. Beverley because middleton drew or broker. You're not going to be our three someone's going to be like just won. The finals patrick beverley brings with him. The wildcard factor the dirty work the dirty work factor the the. Hey this guy's happened to regain hearing what grade slick. Can you shut them down the answer freudian slip wild. You're right you said it you set it. You're like the dirty factor dirty factor. That is not how we need to represent in tomorrow's the mind. Is patrick beverley kim. He don't need that. No give you hard playing ours. We wanna polite. Try silver enough tall second. Half of the season gets rolling tonight. Fox sports sportsbook has the defending champion dodgers favorites to repeat followed closely. By the astros in padre still plenty of baseball left. That's the good news. Wilde's what you got for us. Well be honest with you. When i through my notes i didn't. I threw my jason dominguez notes. But here's jason. Dominguez was just just on graded too low low a. in tampa he's one of the yankees best prospects number one product has a little bit of problem sliding but they call them the martian. You don't the greek freak. Wow he's got freakish skills they caused. The martian is so good sliding knock great but overall an amazing player. Keep your eye on it. we're gonna let off. It's painful to watch Let's talk some footba we're gonna ask are wide receiver. Branding winch guy. Is the guy at the position right now in the nfl. Not gonna wanna miss it first. Things first on a friday morning rolling on all right brandon. Here we go. We're talking best wide receivers name today. That after a recent poll of executives coaches scouts and players named the top ten pass catchers in the game. These star skirts width devante. De'andre hopkins. Then you got stefan timing phil and bouillaud in the top five. Then we have keenan allen. Mike evans michael thomas detain metcalf decay. Met and aj brown the lot on this list. There are a lot lift off this list. I thought i'd see oh. Bj on here brandon. You are our number one ride receiver. I'm a close second. What was your biggest way from the list..

"Oh i would expect a good gary to mean a really good yankees team like good for gary. He had this garbage year last year. He's you know he's still not hitting for high average but that side of his game he's gonna you know bop a bunch of home runs and he's walking a bunch and then he's doing those things and they're still like by the race so it's just a funny. It's a funny thing and the blue jays. I have to remind myself of that old carson. That's the story but yeah it's six and a half games shouldn't feel so insurmountable for this club that we thought would be like the best one of the best teams in baseball but it feels like they're gonna have to work their way through the gauntlet of a wild card game at best and then kind of hope. Thanks go from there you know. They're like a team where it's like the balls been really important. Let me say what that means. Because everyone's like yeah meg. it's baseball. it's a funny thing about it. the balls really important. But it's like you take the dangerous ball and it's like maybe really getting at those yankees and then you take the whack sticky stuff on the ball and yeah famously. Impacting some of them and they're probably just sitting there being like we expected to have a very different relationship with this piece of equipment. And we've ended about yes. Yeah garrett cole. I i don't wanna make too much of it. But in june we're talking five starts here since his been rates for sank and they've been a bit up and down in his past five starts. I don't know if he's experimenting with different substances or the lack thereof over those starts but prior to june all of his starts he had an average for seam fastball spin rate of more than twenty five hundred. Rpm's since then it has been consistently below there and Sometimes quit quite a bit below there and in those five starts and he's been effective in some of them but coming into june he had a one point seven eight era with a one point seven five fifth and he was striking out twelve point. Three batters per nine in the most recent five starts. He has a four point six five yards and a five point six three fifth any striking out nine point three per nine so he's had some effective games in there but even the effective games were like four strikeouts in eight innings. Six strikeouts in seven innings. And not saying he. He can't be good or effective in this version of himself. He still throws really hard and has good stuff obviously but he has been diminished. Thus far again fairly small sample but it does raise your eyebrow a bit and given that he was one of the strengths of this team coming into june that is somewhat dismayed that has served not the the same level but they do have a lot of games left against division opponents particularly the red sox so if they do get things together they could make up some ground fairly quickly so it's not hopeless but fans are not accustomed to being in the situation where they're fifty fifty shots to make the playoffs. They should just be in from day. One so i guess. The good news is that jason dominguez's making his pro debut this week flex league so help is on the way a few years away. But it's on the way i don't know it is an interesting thing to like. Sit with one's expectations of success and find them disrupted and needing to adjust them and again like i am glad in some ways. I'm glad that there are fan. Bases where the expectation is one of both effort and success rate because there are plenty of fan bases. Who don't get to enjoy that. And i think that some level it does inform the sort of ownership's understanding of what they can get away with from appear perspective and so it is good for there to be teams. Were people's expectations are that they will try to win and then they will succeed at winning. That is good for the sport. Also like sometimes you just have a down year you know and it doesn't mean that everyone affiliated with your organization has to lose their job link get sometimes sometimes. It's just not your year. Sometimes the ball is different and guys aren't performing quite the way that you'd expect and i think part of it is that in the recent past as injuries have befallen the yankees. We've looked around him. Ben like death has been able to do like their dramatically exceeding. Our expectations wants forty eighteen. Everyone gets hurt in the anyway. And i you know i remember. We had a conversation with lindsay in august of that year. About how are they doing this right like. How is this team managing to pull it together. The way that they have. And and so i wouldn't blame a yankees fan who is perhaps just like a confronting it based on what they've been able to do when they've been brought low and think. Oh well you know they were able to manage that new year where you know. I was about to suit up for the club and so now in this year where a lot of guys have been healthy and you have. You have basically the same team back together. Why can't they then so. It is a natural human thing to have expectations informed by recent success or failure. But i also just would invite those yankees fans to think about their good times because they've had a lot of them many more than most other people that invitation politely but play. Well maybe not. So please yeah. Maybe they'll get some help later in the air. I don't know corey. kluber could come back. We severino could come back. Zach britton to come back. Maybe they'll make some trades at the deadline. Maybe they'll have happy ending those poor yankees but things have been up and down guess inconsistent has been the watchword which i was feel like. Inconsistent is not the most apt term to use it. It's kind of a euphemism. It really means like you just haven't been good enough like that's what it comes down to. I mean i guess you could frame it that way. We've been good sometimes not other times so we haven't been good all the time therefore we are inconsistent be discard from the joe chats at espn that they used to make fun of hud fire. Joe morgan where were can would say that everything was inconsistent..

"So that's at least one game in a series against baltimore. That's gonna be a tough game. So but friday saturday. Get your get your head right. Get your bats right. Go into sunday with some with some confidence and loaded bats and put the kid down a little bit right. The schedule is number three that we're looking forward to end. It's kind of a gauntlet of a schedule. The yankees are going up against right now because they're on a long road trip after baltimore they go to texas. They have an off day on may twenty fourth. but that that's their only off day. Until june sixth and in that span they played tampa again at the end of may and then they finally play boston the june fourth weekend and i don't know if boston still going to be in first place by then they're going to be competing for the division at that point. Which is maybe more than we would have thought at the beginning of the season. It's weird that they haven't faced boston yet. In the first two months of the season. Normally you play your division rivals at least once in the first two months and they've played everyone else but the schedule is not easy for the yankees right now especially when you consider not many off days no lot of lot of consecutive games. Good thing the. The starting pitching is in place that is that. That's good because. I think that that would make that much longer the yankees. I like it for the fact that the yankees back to have an opportunity to play every day. Get that every day opportunity to get something going. I think when you see a long stretch you worry more about the pitching than you do. The offense so i think it's going to give the offense and get into a good groove especially starting with With camden yards top. Four teams kind of going into that one boston toronto new york tampa everybody's bunched up three games now. The red sox have kind of come back a little bit with a three game skid. They just one last night as well but again. I still expect them to fall. I don't think they're pitching is is as good as it has shown and i expect this continuing to to bunch up at the top with boston. Slip a little bit but tampa and toronto up there with the yankees But good to see that that's happening I think that it's important going into this long. Stretch here's why this is relevant because you've got those four teams that you just mentioned you've got chicago in cleveland. Who are both playing good baseball. They're both over six hundred winning percentage. And you've got oakland and houston. Who are both put playing good baseball and considered playoff teams. So you've got one team in in the central and one team in the west that you're going to also be competing with for a wild card playoff spot so the it's a it's just. There's only so many playoff spots so you're gonna have to think beat out you're going to have to be one of the two top teams in the alias. I what i'm saying. Is i don't think you can finish third in the division and make the playoffs. This year agreed agreed. And i think well i think would end the division. This year is extremely important. So i think they need to really lock on that and make sure that they take care of business by winning the al east. The last thing and this is kind of. I don't know these sorts of things get recycled throughout the year leading up to the trade deadline. But there's a little bit of trevor. Story trade hype. There was an article posted by mark. Fine sand on dot com that listed five trade candidates for trevor story as the rockies are selling off and two of the five interest me because two of the five one was the yankees one was the race the other were the brewers reds in as quickly what he said about each of those that obviously the yankees have gleyber torres at shortstop but he might not be a shortstop locked in the yankees. Have the prospects to trade other than jason dominguez untouchable and then for the race. He said production what. i said. he'd better be goddamn untouchable. The rays have struggled to get shortstop production all season. They have wander franco. Who's the number one prospect in the game. But they could. They could look to still add a rental piece at shortstop this year. The only hindrance is the six million dollars that story would be owed for the rest of the season. But that's six million dollars also put the yankees over the luxury tax. So it's i don't consider we talked about last week. They wouldn't trade for max scherzer because of luxury tax. Why would they trade for trevor story. Because i have an opportunity to to make some adjustments probably with a trevor story contract where they could still stay under. I can see them doing something to finagle their way underneath. It assures her blows you out of the water. I still don't think this story has legs but I think it's more so just like l. Let's identify a guy that is on a team. That will not resign him. Probably not gonna do anything in the this season and look for other teams. Who can who can afford to sign him and potentially would i. I really think that's what this is. That's trevor stories. A good baseball player and they were to go get him and the shufflings around wouldn't be mad about it. Yeah it's just. It's i think the yankees get thrown into a lot of these four courses doing it and that's just the case for anything that's going to do it for friday funds but this episode is not over as you see about six seven minutes left on the episode and the reason is because we're gonna play a segment from my recent appearance on. Kyle bandou hose. Podcasts called big-screen sports. We talked about the the very very good yankees in baseball movie. Sixty one which scott. You and. I have reviewed in the past. I think we did that. In two thousand sixteen. This was a nice. That's five years ago. This was the last time. I watched the movie. I watched it again last week. And then did the podcast. And i forgot how much i liked that movie. It's just a really fun. Movie to watch and billy crystal did a lot of little things right when it comes to baseball and the yankees. Because he's obviously a die hard fan this segment we're gonna play is best quotes from the movie. We had fun with this. If you want to check out the full episode there'd be links in the description. And i suggest you do that because you know maybe you didn't hear scott is review a bunch of years ago and also. Just check out kyle's podcasts. Because he's he's he's on the blue wire network. He's got a great show talking about sports movies and pop culture things and he. He's fantastic so you show him some low. Don't hold that against them he's a. He has a twin. he's been beaten up sankey so and yankees fans for a long time. The twins are very much in last place so go listen to his podcast.

"A couple of quick roster and injury stuff before we get the bob segment so the yankees put darren o'day on the injured list with a rotator cuff strain as bad news for pitcher especially at thirty nine thirty eight year old pitcher. That's at least a month that he's probably going to be shut down so that's definitely an impact Loss in the bullpen. But michael king is back from alternate site which is good. Because he's been he's been great. This year luke. Void is ready to play in rehab games and we were talking about sharia the minor league. Rosters were set and dominguez. Jason dominguez yankees. Top prospect is actually going to start at at extended spring training which means we still have to wait until he plays in a pro game. But he and he's going to. I thought i saw hudson valley. Isn't that where he's gonna be going to. Oh i didn't see that. I saw that somewhere. I have to look to nature. Assign them there right. Now we'll who they want to work with it. I don't know he. I'm sure he's getting special treatment so whatever they're doing they're doing very very strategic with him but if he's planning hudson valley. Those games are going to be packed. Think so yeah. I do i want to go do you. Didn't casual fans know about jason. How many how. Many people are at a minor league stadium. Five thousand will. How many are there now. Well no yes. Prizefighter capacity those like low a like a single awa probably eight thousand or less. Okay so yeah. I think you could definitely If you allowed full capacity at some point if that if that's if that becomes a thing then then yeah. I think that jason dominguez would definitely get a crowd. Bob you want to get into your segment. Yeah so just to quickly recap last week last week segment of the the on the fence the on defense segment so you guys had a couple of predictions. The first one was the over under four and a half games. One you guys both slammed the over and that hit we went five and to the second one will the yankees score over under twenty seven and a half runs. Scott you slammed this over as well and that hit there was. There was a total of thirty five runs and that was the line. Sorry what was line again. Twenty seven point five. Oh yeah oh yeah all day all day. It's andrew you missed on that one and then we had a tie between. Dj an judge hetz. They both had a. Dj had thirty two plate appearances while judge only had twenty two so i had nothing to do with anything to the prophet. That's great it does. It doesn't time but my point at the time was judge. Looks a hell of a lot better at the point then. Dj does right now and that. That's fine. I didn't totally disagree with you. I just have a lot of faith in dj. He's going to get a lot of hits and he's looking much better to to to be fair to him to which is a good thing. I mean shit. They're all looking much better at this point. And then lastly was the kluber or a debbie garcia in both adults. Yeah you guys both said debbie would get more strikeouts but kluber had five. Debbie had four that one that one was close good about it. When i saw that he got four two. And you if you wanna talk about the same thing at that from judge to lament you innings. Disparity was was different. It was kluber pitch seven right. And then what did Davey got what four four sub. Same thing there was. We both took debbie. Yeah i know but higher strikeouts higher strikeouts per nine for for for for garcia. But we didn't know that kluber was gonna turn back into the kleubeck because of hagi. I'm very. I'm very happy he is. I'm very happy he is so the overall records. Scott you went to one on one answer. You went one one and two. And that's where we're at so far but going back to aaron judge. There's been a lot of conversations about if the yankees should trade him and they're even there. Were even rumors last week. That the yankees and the angels or in very light communication about a possible trade over the off season. So i just wanna know what you guys sort of thinking about a possible judge trade. There's i've read an article by joe giglio. Who said you mentioned a few a few teams that he could end up at including the angels or the white sox or the giants who could all show interest for different reasons. So i just wanna know what you guys sort of think about that if the yankees should look in trade him is it too soon but yet i okay okay. So you're talking the there's no they're not going to trade him they're they're not going to trade him and they're going to give him a big contract that that's going to hang. I don't know this was going to happen when those judge chambers went into right field at that point the yankee said this is our guy. Were getting behind this guy. He's going to be the next yankee that we all get behind. Probably be a captain at some point. I think that There's no doubt about it at this point even even with the how can some of these countries because even with some of these injuries the the the the blowback for aaron judge leaving and playing hundred and forty games anywhere else because we know what his production is when he's on the field it's always good his production when he's on the field is is there and he actually out produces many times People in in far fewer games as we just saw with We even with dj and And him talking about hits in the last game so. I don't think it's actually that much of a question when you look around the league and you're identifying people That you want to be the fridge. It's a known quantity. They know who aaron judge's he's already built a brand within the new york yankees that they like a lot. And i don't think that's ever that's not changing. That's not changing unless something completely drastic happens these tact little injury things these little soft. I don't think. I don't think it matters to the yankees. He's been he's he's been playing in the playoffs and he has production in the playoffs and at the end of the day. That's what matters while they have this year next year of him under under arbitration. If they do this load management and he plays eighty percent of the season and that works. And i yes i agree i could see them comfortably giving him a contract to extend him into his mid to late thirties. I dunno massive contract. What he's going to be thirty one when he's a free agent which kinda sucks for him especially his injury history.

"You know, they have a very deep pitching staff. They have a top three There was one year they got by with one starter. Uh, I think it was just snow and then that was it. And they didn't have that They were using that opener a lot. And they that was in l A. At least they've got glass now in Morton, so they have three starters. They They find a way they do a great job. You gotta give them credit. I did not know I did not expect it to be this far ahead of the Yankees. At this point, I will say that they don't want to cross him by any stretch for what? They didn't do it the trade deadline, But they are dealing with a lot of injuries. And as we're seeing with the Yankees, Yankee fans will tell you and Joe and I have been talking about this. That the injuries have caught up to the Yankees. It's why they were struggling. There was any doubt the Yankees is still a loaded team. When they're healthy. They're not healthy and eventually injuries catch up to you. I could go through the list, but Yarborough's hurt Morton Surgery. Noses hurt that kid. Nick Anderson, who was brilliant is seriously hurting. Look great when he pitched. Jalen Beaks needs Tommy John Surgery. Kittredge is her Alvarado is hurt. I may be missing somebody They have lost so many arms disappointment that they didn't go out at all. Um, yeah, I mean, they I don't know. They find a way I don't know they do is they may find a way a role. They may find a way again. The way to win, maybe find a way to find it on, But they find a way to win, no matter what no matter who was on their team, so You know, I'm not going to be critical of them. There is a pauper compared to the Yankees, the big market teams to do anything. A lot of you know, the Yankees didn't do anything. The Dodgers I don't know They traded stripling. I'm not exactly I mean, you never have to much pitching is the way I look at it. The Dodgers. I mean, they had they they lost, were you? They traded my Ada. They Ah Price opted out. Woods got an injury. Att's some point You're going to meet somebody. I guess they're just fueling. They figured the posters. Not gonna be okay. I seek urges Come back from the back. He's probably okay to your point. You know what's kind of interesting now that we're kind of talking about it out loud. None of these American League teams really did anything. I mean, the Blue Jays did and the A's got Mike Minor. Okay, put them aside. The Indians traded Mike Levinger. The Twins didn't do anything. The Rays didn't do anything. The Yankees didn't do anything. The Astros didn't do anything. I mean the American League, those eight playoff teams that I likely going to make the playoffs. It wasn't a lot of activity from these guys that you know. You've got eight teams. They're pretty well set the National League. It's Jumbo. Yes, I will say this. I do think Toronto. We're mobile looking them a bit because San Diego blew away everybody but I mean to get crippling a pretty good pitcher, Maybe not by Dodgers standard by by normal standards. That's not bad. That one Walker tonight start The Blue Jays. Did you really write about them? They were active, most American league seems, didn't especially the top American League teams. Nothing. Yeah. Then it's true. I mean, there was a decent amount of activity overall, but I mean, seems like half the activity came from the padre. So you know that's the way it went. I I think the Yankees would been better off doing something. The Angels traded a few guys, but I don't know. I guess the fact that Bundy had a year to go against the Texas the fact that the land had a year to go. They don't want to take a step back next year. Ending. I guess if you're giving up on this year and then take a step back next year, that's probably why you have a big asking price. But I don't know. I mean, it started out the angels are ever gonna win. You know, I know I feel bad for Billy Eppler. I've been there five years, but it's been going on for decades with its team already. You know, I mean, They've signed Mohr $100 million players over the last decade than anything. You know what? They got Two of them and we're proud, But you know what? They got anybody. You know what they got to do, John? You know we're going out to do They got a trade. The greatest player in the history of baseball. That's what they got to do. Imagine the prospects they would get for Mike. Maybe the Yankees will trade him. Jason Dominguez. Maybe then they're baby Yankees will be willing to move him. Maybe then we'll say, you know. I don't see that happening, You know, dying hard to blame them. You know, John very like that. It's It's a tough one. You know, the fans are excited to have the best player in the game that value on that as well. John Right now, you gotta figure Braves going going to make the playoffs and National League East Who's the other team right now? Alright, seriously right now in an Edgeley Geest outside of Atlanta, who was the other team making the playoffs right now, As I look at it, I would go Phillies and I did. Believe that this division was not great coming in. I originally Atlanta and Washington making it out of that division. But I do know about today and switch Washington out for Billy. Aunt have those two teams, but I didn't. I don't get that division had problems from the beginning. We already have guys opting out now or cake is opted back in. But We've had a lot of key injuries Strasbourg and Syndergaard. Really, I mean those air, huge injuries. You know, we talked about the number of injuries. Jack Devon, they have stars do but You know? Ah, it, Gil. It hurts them. I mean, the men with their different team If they had sent a guard, I think I mean, you guys might not agree with that the way they've been playing lately because Luca would be in the bullpen. So yes, I do. Agree with you, wantto, John. You know what, Though, John. And even which said, the God the fact that Pete Alonso and Jeff McNeil have had terrible you let's be honest, terrible years. And that has better what they did last year. Not even close. John John, it's not even close. Well. I don't want it came out of nowhere last year, but they certainly outperformed expectations. I do think they're good players. We didn't think London's gonna have 53 home was a 53 year, but Yeah, but I mean, he's better than this. He certainly been pressing. Yeah. Neil also has not been the same You ran into the wall could be affected him even before then he didn't even know that guy just has a big good, John. As you know. No, no, You're right about that. I like it. I think he's a good player, but I love you, but I mean, it's just not. It's not getting it done. I would not have not had a good. You know, John, you did a great job. A very busy day, leaving in 25 minutes. Florida I It's like he just got started. Are you know I've been in Europe for two months. Too much that only your can't leave. You can't leave because I have a job here, Jersey, right? And if I left for Florida, then I have to quarantine when I came back to even go into work, so For two weeks, so I can't do to Florida's mismanagement of the situation. I got to stay in New York and it's okay because you know, it has managed it much better, at least now. All right. Well, good talk and you stay safe. We're alright. Jon Heyman on the baseball, you wanna hear something sick, but it's true. Right now. The season ended today, Four of the eight playoff teams from the National League would either be at 500 or below 500. I believe it. Yeah, Think about that the Cardinals or 12 and 13. But they're in second place. They make the playoffs. The Marlins ar 15 and 15. They make the playoffs and then the two extra teams. The wild card teams would be the 17 and 17, Colorado Rockies and the 14 and 15 Philadelphia Phillies. Crazy and in the American League. It's the exact opposite. Nobody's under 500 that would make the playoffs. There's greater separation with those eight teams. Tampa, the Yankees, bluejays, the white socks, the Indians, twins, the age and the Astros. Those would be the a team so Weird man. Very, very weird. We'll come back and get back to your calls..

"And make a bet today that the key to the Yankees is getting healthy with that said, where they close on anything. And what were they kind of sniffing around for over the last 48 hours? Yeah. I mean, not that I heard. I mean, they were obviously looking at the starting pitchers, and they thought Levinger asking price is way too high. The hater. They believe he was getting traded. Based on that asking price. They checked in on Gausman. It's Sunday and Lynn. They didn't like those prices, so I didn't hear that They were particularly close or anything. It's probably hard to judge that, but It would've liked another starter. It's nice that Garcia the baby looked good in his first start That gives him a big plus there, and, yeah, I mean, they've got to get the guys healthy. Obviously. You know, that's what they need to do is hard to believe they're looking for an outfielder. The way we started out with seven out guilders, But with all the injuries they have, you know they could have been looking for in the other two. Are you surprised? Todd Frazier is back with the Mets. Well, Brody love them. Obviously, I mean, like that guy, you know, like Frazier, like, you know, uh, and with me as you like, Sam, he's a big fan of Edward was not one of his clients. Ah, All right, I understand clients. Yeah. I mean, Lowery was one of his clients. Oh, yeah. There you go. Get Larry about every move works out perfectly. Not every move works out and you say that with a straight face to us. I mean, like, you know, it's almost like Yeah, it was Tokyo have the mask on him in the back of a car, but I did not have a straight face. It's like Louise Roland's after the after the disaster on Sunday, basically saying while Ed with the as that a bad thing. We still haven't heard it sit and with the Yeah, I didn't get that you Evan may we're all think that he should not be the closer. We said that 50 times. We said that a while ago, and they're going to stick with him. No matter what. That that seems to be the planets the no matter what Plan B is due, you know, and we're talking to John Hammond on the trade deadline. A. You mentioned clever Inger, who A lot of teams were interested in the Yankees call. The Braves got a lot of teams called. He ends up with the Padres. Any idea what that price would have been? For the Yankees. What kind of because they were getting a decent return from San Diego has got one of the deepest farm systems in baseball. But any idea what it would would have taken the Yankees take Levinger. I heard that was there was four top guy, So you know, I mean, they took that to mean. Garcia Smith and Dominguez. Those their top three guys, I I don't know if that's exactly what it was. That obviously wouldn't fly that. No, that's way more than I think her Jason Mike, I've heard Jason Dominguez is going to better than trout. Is that what we're hearing about this kid? Better than I don't know where nobody has ever been better in my truck. It's impossible. It's impossible to be better than mine. I'm sorry. Apology impossible. I'm sorry. I I think Trout and Mickey Mantle are very similar, and I only got the end of Vandals career. You saw more of it, but I think if you look at the stats and the regular season anyway, they're very similar type players. I have the Indian VP the truck at the M V P yet did they finalize that yet? I heard that on TV that he's the MP, But now I I don't think it should be finalized at this point. I mean, they're they're team stinks. And he don't look so you know, I love the top my head. I don't know the MPP is, but I would suggest at this point that it's probably too weak, although I do think he is that he and his tremendous I mean, he's a He's a great Anthony run. Don't have in a really good year, too. I mean, maybe not as good as my travel out here. It's just that It's just that the rest of the team is awful. You know Dylan Bundy's going. The rest of that rotation is It's just awful. And this was the year for the Angels to make the playoffs because you got so many teams making the playoffs. Did the Indians talk about Linda or with anybody where they kind of keep in there until next till the off season? Really? Yeah, that's an offseason move. They've tried to talk to him about a contract, but he wants to be paid like that crowd, And it's the Indians. So they I know some people say everybody's got the money, but, you know, you know, in Cleveland, your revenue isn't that good. You know, I I could see why they could say that. It doesn't fly for them. I mean, Boston didn't pony up for bed. Boston has the money, you know, I get it. You know he wants top dollar. He could say only once that he loved. Cleveland wants to stay in Cleveland. But the reality of it is not giving him a discount. So I do think that he's a logical Offseason trade. But Cleveland's pretty darn good Preminger's while good, he's replaceable, and he has not been good this year. Wass and everybody in the clubhouse is manage him. For what he did so not shocked that he got traded in the end. I you are you surprised, And I was you two picked them or not, But you surprised how good Tampa Bay has been. I mean, you know, I mean, really, I mean, what a 20 for 11 5 and one against the Yankees of any you Are You surprised how good the rays of it. A little bit. I mean, I finally jumped on their bandwagon. I didn't pick them to beat the Yankees. But I finally said they were going to be really good this year after being wrong on them consistently for about a decade. You know, they have a very deep pitching staff. They have a top three There was one year they got by with one starter. Uh, I think it was just snow and then that was it..

"I'm Sweeny Murti Yankees win Game one of this double enter over the Mets, 8 to 7 a wild affair. They scored five times the bottom of the seventh and then walked it off in the eighth. The game winning it by Ji or Shelagh. Game number two will get underway in just over 30 minutes. First pitch will be in approximately 5 20. The pitching matchup is Davy Garcia, making his big league debut against Seth Luego. The next game pitching matchup is brought to you by Montefiore. Doing Mohr Mohr on Garcia in just a moment getting ready for Yeah, one of the Yankees top prospects. Finally getting Teo get his call here and we'll tell you more about his journey here in just a moment. Right now, Let's listen. Aaron Boone is comments on the wild comeback win. That was game 1827 over the Mets Sounds of the game. He's brought to you. By Ramsey, Mazda choose wisely choose Ramsey. Mazda usually don't win many of those, but they just continued to battle and put up good at bats there in the end, and then You know, Dixie? You know who can really hit a fastball and controlled his own enough, you know, been grind and lately been battling, finally got to a really good heater and put a great swing on it. Um And then Geo, you know? I mean, I think the shadows were absolutely a factor there those last inning and a half, probably not seeing the ball real well off ideas and and just kind of fights, one off with two strikes there. But just ah, a lot of good job by but by people Me back from that type of deficit, especially essentially with two outs in that inning. What is the emotional roller coaster like for you? As you're watching things unfold? Yeah, I mean, you know You know the hit batter? Obviously void kind of check. Swing it through the other side. And all of a sudden, you know that the table set for something strange toe happen there and you know for us to have Hicks he up there against Diaz, you know, not that anyone's a good matchup ideas, but you know, he's got a good shot there with his ability, handle the heater and and he put one big swing on one. So that was huge. But you're just a good job by these guys. Obviously, we're going through a tough time of of continuing to grind away on. He took Ella Mae you out there is that they're easy behind that. It was kind of just being A little proactive because I wasn't going to play him in Game two, and I felt like if I get him off his feet there for, you know, an inning and a half for what turned into about an hour. You know that I get him in the second game, so I'm gonna d h him here in the second game. Erin, are you OK? Pitching wise against way should we've made a move? We've option Kris Key. Ah, and a brave you will be here for the for the second game. Greg Joyce. Go ahead. Go ahead. MEREDITH. I was just going to say that that inning That was a rough one. For Michael King. Not a lot of hard hit balls. Just what's the level of frustration when you see an any kind of unfold like that? Yeah. I thought, Michael, look this a tough line to go through, Especially with all the lefties they can throw at you and and Michaels. You know, with his stuff really plays against righties. I mean, and lefties as well, but especially against righty So I thought he threw the ball Really? Well, I did think he got a little bit. You know, tired, even though they didn't have a lot of hard contact. They're awesome. Not being out there in a while, obviously probably wasn't going to go more than 60 65 with them today. I thought he threw the ball. Well, you know, I thought I thought he made some good pitches with his secondary, which really helps, then make his really good to seem fast ball play. So I thought maybe a look right ran out of gas a little bit there at the end, but it wasn't a ton of hard contact like, he said. And what did you think about the way chat? Green bounce back? Yeah, he was great. I mean, that was you know against, you know the heart of their lineup. Obviously, you know, really came in and executed with, you know, at the top of his own. I thought he mixed in some good curve balls to keep him honest and make that pitch and play forum. So You know, not surprised to secret income bounce right back like that. He's he's not overly affected by great highs or or or failures at any time. He's really good at turning the page, and he was able to do that today. Chad Green, bouncing back with the three strikeouts in the top of the eighth. He was in the ballgame because the five run rally and Aaron Hicks the game tying Homer Ji, or shall I get the game winning hit? Yeah, they're all today's Mike's amazing players in the game presented by the Yankees official Mayonnaise makes amazing Mayo made locally by Shuffler Foods from one chef to another. Don't try any other now get set for game number two is the big League debut of Davy Garcia. He's a name you have heard quite often the last couple of years. If you've been listening to the post game shows, and when they used to have minor league baseball games almost every time in the last two years, and Davey Garcia took the mound, I would give you his line because it was always something glittering, mostly with strikeouts. Garcia was signed out of the Dominican Republic in July of 2015. For a $200,000 bonus. It is a relatively small bonus when you consider some of the millions that others have gotten like Jason Dominguez or Gary Sanchez. On the other hand, Mariano Rivera got only $2000 back in 1990 on and so Garcia signed for $200,000 as a 16 year old. He turned 21 just this past May. He will be the youngest picture to start a game in the big leagues this year when he takes the mound. Four game number two, which again starts in about 5 20. He is the youngest picture to start for the Yankees since Bill Hughes in 2007. He did not have a great spring training in summer camp, allowed seven or runs in nine innings total, but his strikeout numbers have always been strong, his ability to get swings and misses. And he has pitched well, really throughout the achey system. With one exception in 2019, he started the year That Sari in 2018. He started the year classic tip and really got everybody's attention. But you owe 1 to 70 are a there and striking out 35 batters in 28 innings. Last year, he pitched across three levels. Tampa Trend and Scranton. He was 20 years old. Meaning by the time you reach triple A. He was six years younger than the average in the international league. He was also at a time of the year, which is probably ll tired, which accounted for the 5.40 e R a U had a triple A Nevertheless, scouts from around the majors and inside the Yankees organization all very excited at the prospect of Davy Garcia, who, as I said, just turned 21 this past May. Baseball America ranks him as the number three prospect in the entire Yankee organization Beyond Jason Dominguez and Clark Schmidt. MLB pipeline has him as the Yankees number one rated prospect, and they as Faras tools are concerned. They say Garcia has the best curveball off all minor league pitchers. Garcia getting set to make his big league debut. Here are our in Boone's thoughts. Yeah, excited. Made his way here last night he Ah slept in a hotel nearby. Yeah, he's done well down in summer camp, too. And So you know, the reports that we've been getting have been have been strong and excited to see him go out there and compete, whether it's with the fastball and you know life at the top of his own with it, You know, really good feel and spin on the breaking ball. It's just about him. Controlling his delivery, you know, is a little bit of that crossfire, making sure he stays on line so he can You know, if he's commanding the ball into his lanes, then he's going to pitch really well. Last year, Davy Garcia appeared in the futures game at All Star Weekend. He was an Eastern League All Star..

"No, it's I think it's really It's pretty aggressive of Mark Turnoff to push veterans like us three days in a row this early in the season. I agree. We should be in mid season form. But remember, we had to stop spring training. We've In the home and you know we're we're getting up there. We have a lot of service time yet to protect us for the long haul. So three days arose a lot, but I think we can answer the bell. Uh, we've done pretty well, the last couple of nights and I hope you guys have a chance to listen or go back and check out the audio paid check out somewhere and you're using, and I think we could have fun, too. So That's the biggest part of it. Uh, yeah, in a row, and off we go, huh? Yeah, it's ah, we're going. We got a good show tonight. Jerry Dipoto is going to join us at about what, 7 30 general manager of the Seattle Mariners, David Roberts and a little bit later on. I think he's our last guest. And Jim Duquette Duke in between, So it'll be fun. Yeah, absolutely. We get a couple of get a G. M and a former GM to kind of give us the lay of the land. Here's rosters air slowly filtering out over the last couple of hours. They had to be Submitted to the league by four o'clock eastern. So in the last three hours, the public side of it has come out for a few teams the Yankees released there's the Mets. We hope shortly. What's what's so funny? What's uh, what? What's typical of this picture? Okay, Here we go. Everybody's got their rosters out, and we don't Okay. There you go. Waiting is the hardest part. Yeah, That's what they say. That's what Tom said, is about a fact you're right. Hopefully it will be out shortly. I think, anyway, we hope and any surprises on the Yankees won for you. I did a quick breakdown. When spring training started in February, the Yankees had 59 players in camp. They have 58 so far on this 60 player pool so they can fill two more if they need to. Obviously They brought 31 pictures in February. They have 33 on the list now. Far as I can tell that believed to additions are Daniel Alvarez, You and Tony Zych. I think those are the two guy. Everybody else who was in camp is the same. Ceferino obviously started camp, but now he's out after Tommy John surgery. They brought seven catchers in spring training. Ah, in February. They have six catchers. Now 10 infielders, both times, 11 outfielders in February 9 outfielders now, ah, and all the usual candidates. I think this surprise there. Eddie was that No. There was some speculation that maybe the teams would use and some teams are using the 60 player pool to bring some your lower level high and prospects in To keep them sharp in playing games and none of those guys the Yankees recent draft picks in the last couple of years, none of those guys on this list it's really on ly guys who Can impact the major league team this year. I would think, including they signed Matt Duffy, the former Giants and Ray's third baseman, to Ah, To a deal so to a minor league deal, and he's invited into camp, so adding a little depth there which I thought was interesting. That helps or Shelagh and your, um And you are already 1/3 base. But, yeah, I think those are the only surprises for me and the Yankees did not use spots on, say, Anthony Volpi or Jason Dominguez or any of their other high and prospects that you sit there and say, Maybe those guys just get some development time and that's not what the Yankees are using their 60 man pull for. Okay. Dan Otero was signed as well. He was in camp and let go was at it, But he is here. I signed, right? Yes, he has. He's on there. And as far as the prospects go, Davy Garcia, Is there a swell right and Schmidt clocks minute? Yeah, those guys, Eddie, if this season played out, you know how how injuries happen with pictures, right? John. I think Schmidt would have found his way onto Shen Garcia both would have found their way into their major league debuts at some point this season, just based on the fact that there would be enough injuries, and I think they would have been far enough along on the development trail. Schmitz really interesting because they drafted him with with, um Tommy John surgery already having been, you know, he had Tommy John surgery. I think a week before the draft years ago, so they spent an entire year best an entire year on to rehab and then you know, you know when they say when you guys get going, they're going to come quickly, and he did. He's moved moved up through the chain very well last year. And was pretty impressive and very confident, too. I noticed in the spring like he really believed he had a chance to break camp now that was going to be realistic, but he had no confidence in his ability. That he had the ability to break camp. That's always a good thing. That's a good thing that I have. Yeah, yeah, so I would see He's the guy that you know that'll be interesting. So we talked about how you know pictures, pictures going to get hurt players going to get hurt how deep you have to dive into this. That's going to be a big factor here. Schmidt and Garcia are on the radar, maybe more so because of this this unique season, but they definitely would have found a way to a big league debut. At some point this season. I thought it's not. It's not surprising when you look down on all the teams that have published their rosters thus far, lot of pictures we talked about yesterday. Ah, lot of pictures and you're going to see A lot of pitchers interested to me. I thought he might have been hurt Floreal. Was he and camp eggs. I know he's on the Rosie Was he hurt in camper? Not not in camp. Okay. I recall he has been hurt in the past. Yeah, He's had a couple of years really short circuit by some wrist injuries and write things like that. That's been a hard thing for him to overcome. Um he's um Hey, could be one of those interesting guys. I mean, we're talking about. I guess that's the when you start with 30 players that's going to be, are you we heard who were talking to yesterday. That said, You know, maybe 17 pitchers possible. Putting it might have been Steve Carson Carson, right, 17 out of out of 30 players to start the start the year You know, 17 or 18 pictures, possibly. And if that's the case, you're probably going to, you know, Obviously we have enough room for the position players. But if you're looking for maybe some extra speed or an extra outfielder That would be something to consider is on the 40 man right now. I think getting a lot of the things and you know you'll see is the Mets. Other teams, too. Usually guys you know where guys are development curve and that will influence when they can come up and help the team. But I don't know that's as big a factor right now because you might not have that luxury. You might be in a position where guys get hurt, and you don't You don't have minor league seasons going on. You don't have you know veteran players who you have big experience, just waiting a triple A to fill a void. You might have to go get somebody who hasn't played above a ball and make him a big league outfielder, infielder or whatever, just to fill out a 60 game season here. Let me throw out an outfielder his name to you. Ah, Which might be that kind of guy for the Yankees, Depending how quick he comes. Roselle Herrera. How about how about I got like that? I'll tell you what. He was impressive in the spring. You know he had He played all over the place, too. Played all over the infield in the outfield. Ah, really? You know, when you talk about super utility, that's exactly what he Waas spent some time with the Marlins last year. And he's listed as an outfielder, but they played him. I want to say they must have played him in five different spots, maybe more in the spring. That's hard to remember down. Yeah, I'm looking at some of these names going that I see this guy..

"And beyond the Tampa Bay rays of cut the Yankees lead down to five and a half in the AL east the rays of the six three win over the Orioles Charlie Morton approve the nine into two point three six ERA he loves one run over seven innings brain allowed his sixteenth home run red Sox beat Toronto ten to six no let down for them they score ten in Toronto and rough feel Devers Adams of quite a game for for five two homers and six runs batted in he is today's top performer brought to you by burden now will be accounted center visors we listen we solve we do angels what a tough situation for the angels the loss of Tyler Skaggs just really almost nothing to say about how tragic situation this is the angels and Rangers cancelling yesterday's game postponing I should say and finding the strength to play today the angels have taken a seven three lead sixth inning in Texas just unthinkable situation for everybody in that angels family and our thoughts and prayers go out to the to the Skaggs family as well Detroit and the white Sox they were postponed by rain Indians leave the royal seven five in the eighth inning Trevor Bauer scattered well hidden scatter them very well he was it for a lead in its in five runs in six innings for a soul where slug is twenty third home run for the Royals Minnesota is a three nothing in Oakland third Seattle to one little Saint Louis in the third in Atlanta our normal allowed only four hits over eight innings picked up his seventh win Phillies blank the Braves to nothing Dallas crackle of those two runs in seven innings one five it's four at Lana Patrick Corbin was wearing number forty five tonight to honor Tyler Skaggs he allowed only one run over seven innings the nationals and Marlins are tied to two in the night one Soto has it is fifteen home run in that ballgame pirates leave the cubs five nothing there in the six the Reds beat the brewers eleven five to four Christian Yelich hit his thirty first home run four Milwaukee you'll Agori L. two home runs it say will it I guess this is kind of a London type of game its headquarters field of course of course you'll get the Astros Lee the Rockies nine eight they're in the eighth giants a two one lead on the Padres the fourth Diamondbacks of a three one little Dodgers in the third couple minor league notes for you scrambled spur shut up a target for nothing Tyler wait to for for his batting three oh one rental us but all combined to really resolve the five hitter Portland hammer trend seven to one Alberta Brady last only two thirds of an inning he allowed four hits and five runs none of them were earned but you don't forty two pitchers in the inning so his night was cut short Tampa beat Daytona ninety two as storm Florio got off to a slow start because they handed jury suffered in spring training and himself begins he started up to for five a Homer and five RBIs for for y'all another top prospect added to the Yankee system the siding international signing date July second and a lot of teams announced some their top signings Yankees had less than six million dollars to spend on there a lot of players and they chose to give five million to one player sixteen year old Jason Dominguez a center fuel prospect for the Dominican Republic he is by almost every killed the top player available in international signing period this year and the Yankees all the men with a five million dollar bonus Jason Dominguez you'll hear his name quite a bit over the next few years the Yankees lost eleven players signed in all and none better according to the experts then sixteen year old Jason Dominguez the Yankees and Mets will finish this two game set tomorrow night with dimming Armand coming off the injured list to making the start against lefty Jason Vargas the Yankees back to a five man rotation they did not discount the idea of using Chad grease opener again if they're playing consecutive games or whatever it is but they do have a full five man rotation again with her mom coming back the Yankees after tomorrow's game at the temple of four game set against the rays and then it's the all.

"The cubs respected his privacy and the media has respected his privacy and that's not our business to know but I don't think Zobrist was the guy that's going to fix what's currently going on he was it red hot before he ended up leaving the scene three one two three three two three seven seven six the white Sox expected to sign a group of players out of Cuba today the international signing has come in and the cubs are getting three of the top thirty the number six MLB prospect is a catcher Ronnie air can Tero he is expected to sign with the Chicago Cubs they're supposed to sign Kevin made he's the number eleven prospect kid terror was getting three million made is getting one point seven and Brian out to ray another catcher for a million dollars so comes a get a trio of top international prospects the number one international prospect of all is this kid Jason Dominguez outfielder Dominican Republic they say the best international prospect to come along in a long long time and he has agreed to a five million dollar deal with the New York Yankees the sixteen years of age the athletics are going to get the number two player a right now the white Sox are not listed on any of the top thirty but they are listed on a group of solid prospects from Cuba begin this list is going to keep getting updated others a handful of guys that have not yet made decisions are the guys the cubs are signing could tear us from the Dominican Republic Kevin made a short stop is from the Dominican Republic and bring it out to be is the catcher out of Venezuela so there you go odds go back to the phone three one two three three two three seven seven six she always out on two ninety four sweet Joe what's up not much are you guys on good man how are you all right while yeah I agree with you that former does not belong at the top of the line up and I my opinion is you have a guy on the team right now that it gets on base all the time when nobody not sold one why is Chris Bryant not given the opportunity we all I don't want your money you gotta have guys on base when it comes up because he doesn't want guys are off base get a chance to get back in the game yesterday and based on our laurels but if you do pop up yeah look I would try anything I personally want someone and he's a good baserunner Joe you make a valued at about broader than baseball he is and you get you get you get on base over four hundred clip what's wrong with that what is wrong with the guy who gets on base all the time when I saw him at the top of the line because I think they look at him and feel like the run production will be better look he was way better in twenty sixteen where was he Headingley won the MVP the threshold you're right yeah but but you know that's twenty sixteen is a twenty nineteen yeah but they've been using them in the pool hall I would moving down the three all I bet result in the four holes your reader I gotta go get one you don't think there's a buy out a roster I do not I do not think there's a leadoff man on the roster I would I would show I would try something else former is not the guy he's just not he'll hit the occasional home run for yeah he got on base three times last night two walks and a hit that's an was easier because it could have been a more I could have been maybe a bit happy could've been these guys that were supposed to evolve and develop into players that are not that's a let down from these players that were supposed to be something or you look at it scouts to miss manage with the talent was there Viking Scott he's in Crown Point Indiana what's up Viking Scott so I got this right those rose colored glasses that yourself been looking through with this great lineup are now black rose glasses or what they're all black roses down started clubs don I didn't say they're done I said as currently constructed I don't believe that can get where they want to go and that's a World Series I think there may have to make moves so where they live but because he just did it not they never got with us for her to go to the American Legion be at the age because he's a train wreck a lot you'll always going to do is hurt himself mereka leaky give you thirty five all right here driving a hundred but he shouldn't be in the field the problem the called me now they don't produce now before the trade deadline otherwise his value like you mentioned it's just you know below average you agree with that do I think forever is a below average player for everything it brings to the table I would say below average I think he's an average look he's going to hit thirty home runs this year that is not an average major league hitter that's a good power back to I think he's a better fit the American League damn right you can't make the most look everyone's gonna make an error but the other day he they hit the fly ball in the first inning it planks office club it's just a combination of these things that go on and I don't think he's a leadoff guy I don't great with that one other point regarding their middle relief situation I just think that it might be time to pull it off so whoever you think might be the guy would it be Montgomery stroll for whatever if I were gonna come back obviously moral might be back and what does come from a non combat they might need to trade hello to bring in a really good guy to get the Kimbrell you're free with any of that if it's possible yeah they're going to have to go get a left handed difference maker the back end of their pain if they truly believe this team can win like will Smith's who Jim boat mention from the giants yeah absolutely hundred percent he would be that guy perhaps Jake big men whose ERA's really up there but he's got a lead stuff he might be a guy if you get a deal but you didn't deal with the Royals possibly but he he's not what will Smith is for will say Hey man gotta roll have a good day three one two three three two three seven seven six we'll get Jordan's thoughts on the bolts and the NBA free agency I will get more of your calls we'll be right back to you.
