"Day of it like here. It's like you go to the beach the beach for a couple of hours you come back there when you go to the beach like people go like they're going to war with like four like four coolers of shit all the furniture, a tent, three different umbrellas like they're fucking the super soaker like ready to do the shit and they're ready to be out there for twelve hours and I think that has a lot to do with like so-called versus northeast weather where it's. Like you have your summer and then even your summers not all nice days because you get rain and then you have workdays. So then you have like maybe twelve days a year that lineup that it's nice weather and you're off or whatever. So you gotTA squeeze in like you're like, get the BOOGIE board get the coronas we're GONNA have real. We're GONNA MAKE SANDWICHES WE'RE GONNA, have breakfast lunch, and dinner at the beach you know what I mean like bring the radio to listen to the Yankee game where We get all the kids invite the cousins like it's gotta be forty because you're dedicating this Saturday to the beach and you're GonNa get up at seven, you're going to get there by eight. You'RE GONNA leave at dark gotta get. You gotta get up early if you want one a spot like near the water and to like a parking spot where you don't have to drag five hundred pounds of stuff half mile to the beach guy up early you're getting up crashed onto do that shit if you end up going to central mall or a few or whatever you gotta take the. And all that shit like when feel taste the latest once or twice? Due to some random delay, we'd be going in like field six will be close and because we were only ever going from like eight am to one PM my dad would be like well, and just like turn around field six. Right, right after we went through, just turn around and leave the beach, and this is something we prided ourselves on because once removed from Freeport, we technically lived like you we were zip code want culturally belmore. And we lived like just above sunrise highway right near the wants parkway. So we we used to time like door to door. We could get to feel six parking lot in like six or seven minutes from my mom's like driveway and that we prided ourselves on like how close to the beach and then we would always just try to beat that like I would leave. I'd leave myself with like fifteen minutes. Notice to get to work and I mean I'm sure the Tan shirts added to punch cards which was. Yeah. So, the way I would get the way I would get to work is I would Drive I would take before I had my car. I would bike down wantagh avenue all the way to the park. That's there where the where the where the bike paths starts and then I would take the bike path all the way down the causeway to the it was like right across it was like A. Bike it was it was it was widely after that summer. I had like muscles in my legs and I've never seen since before again, it was just sending sane ride pro you just remind me that's what that's what I WANNA do when I go back home I wanna ride the bike path again I hadn't done that forever I did like it's a great great ride. It's a great right and then it lets you in the park. Avenue and Merrick road where that place it's called Long Island cheeseburger. But we call the cheeseburger cheeseburger our whole lives because it had like the word written twice. L. Sketch. So we called this place cheeseburger cheeseburger and it to me it was like this place that. My mom would be like we're not going to cheeseburger cheeseburger. Shut up whatever like McDonald's and I remember when I was old enough to have my own car like we're gonNA cheeseburger cheeseburger when it was. Absolutely medium Li fi also. This up for like seven years and that was just the beginning of being let down by things I didn't know about for the rest of. It was it was that's a fun bike ride Emma. One of my friends had figured out. How to sneak into the to Jones beach amphitheater through like the swamp. That off of the bike path, he had figured it out and he was like I can't take you because I legitimately don't want too many people to know how to do it but then he took me one time and. They probably have changed it. Now, there's been a number of years, but he would leave his bike a certain area through this legitimate. He'd put on like a like rain gear and stuff thorns and you're going through all the nettles and and then he would hop wall that would basically be like where concessions is, and then he just like quick change and act like he was like working concessions walk through any. was unbelievable scam. That's I'll tell you the best version of that was working at Jones beach when a cool concert was in good friends I worked at the Zach's Bay beach, which is that Bay right next to the amphitheater. Be Like Gabor's come on over. We're going out on Kayaks with beers like after the beaches closed and you would be able to get close enough to hear the music but just be floating in the middle of the Ocean fucking slamming beers. It was a fucking I in the middle the bay a fucking time. This thank you for having me on this. This has been in crow or are you kidding thank you for doing this man. So I know you have a shit ton of stuff going on, but you also have a new podcast with. With Shay Right. You want to talk a little bit about shots here for people that check out connect. We shape, pick some movie, I pick a movie. Then we talk about the theme and the different ways that they connect and it's been fun I. Hope Ange. So check it out. Yeah that's right just to give a taste of the most recent one was. The. Movies to not watch on a plane and it was La Bamba and. What was World War World War Z. World War. Two. Brad Pitt Plan B.? Action Zombie Apocalypse Movie World War Z in which the scene in this being a. Zombie outbreak on the plane that's like leaving Israel and it crashes Oh. Great. Great. fucking seen. Great believable. Seen that movie is kind of low key underrated. Somehow I feel like I don't think it gets enough credit. It's it's really fun and the idea of shooting a machine gun into a Blob of zombies seems appealing even though I'm scared of guns and all that same. And you're at. Net W three a on. I'll tell you in all this when it comes out. Thank you so much, Jason. Thanks for doing this. But this was a blast man I'm glad we got to catch up and. Tell tell your girlfriend. We should we'll do a long island we'll take on Long Island She's going to be absolute throw. Thank you Johnnie all right I, appreciate it by shits..

"Adams with like a Straw in. Unwieldy. To hold and like arguably hot by the time you get to the back half of it but to get that much beer for like four twenty, five on the ride unreal and then you get your. Your car is a half mile from your house because you live close to the transition while you're like this is a dangerous drive. I'm doing I'm going like I'll go on a half mile but I'm too drunk to drive. I remember when I first started taking those trains. I was like, wait a second. You can just buy like literally right here on the contract like the biggest beer I've ever seen in people just get fucked up. Okay. Last April me and my. My wife and I were like we've always wanted to see a billy Joel concert at. MSG. Like of course, it's like a long island fuck in Bingo check board. But so my mom had gone we talked and she's like I'll buy tickets for you guys if you'll like fly in and make a weekend and we started like randomly this one weekend we were supposed to be in for a wedding and Billy Joel was playing. We were like mom what about this is like four months in advance like mom what about able? and. My wife is like Oh. We should stay in the city and I'm like, no, we're staying at my mom's house. She's like, no stay in the city all our friends live in the city. That's where we met and I'm like, no, we have to commute into the concert. She's like, what do you mean? Oh, Mike just wait and see you'll see and it was a fucking highlight. We're all on the train we get on the train platform. It's me and my two brothers everyone's girlfriends or wives, and my mom just like the seven of us and all me and both my brothers each severally brought so much fucking alcoholic. Fifty minute ride. But my brother was like I brought a six beer on my I made four huge vodka and Sodas Mike Pinera comes to my mom has at the House for whatever reason and we got fucking gas and my wife's like I'm so glad we took the long island railroad I go. No. This isn't even why we took it. You'll see why we took it when the concert lights out and you go from square garden with everybody had billy Joel of. Station immediately onto a train everyone is hammered singing people have. Why? How And it was. The vibe is going to be unreal and it was what Long Island to me a nutshell at felt a little scary. But all in all was just people trying to have fun but there is that element of fear about. Sorry. We've talked about this a second ago back to. The whether you WanNa stay for life or leave immediately upon becoming conscious. I've now like come around to another level of consciousness where I'm like. I can appreciate Long Island I. Have This weird distance from where I'm like obviously anyone listen to my pockets or should I do I talk about it relentlessly but I've come back to it in a way and now moving to La helps even more sort hurts even more where I'm like this long island foam on the pandemic is hitting even harder like I associate it with seeing my family and my nephews and I just have this weird pining for long island that I'm going through right now and feeling the same thing now too because my godmother and my godfather who we who? Live did they lived in the same complex as in Queens I've known them my whole life they live on Long Island. Now, my brother lives like eight minutes away from. My mom in the House we grew up in, he's got he's got he just had a kid so I have a nephew. And my mom sending me pictures like literally every day of like them doing stuff there in the backyard barbecue or whatever it is all. There's no corona virus among island for some reason somehow according to my family do this is weird. One of my brothers still lives with my mom. My brother does live in bellmore eight minutes away from my mom with his kids. It's so clear and they're all together. My mom has a all the Time Warner Yard. It's like the summers them take a picture and I don't even let I didn't like living there and I get stressed after forty eight hours of being there but I'm craving just going back and. Seeing, everyone and getting the fuck out of there but it's not gonNA happen anytime soon and that part of it really sucks. You ever think so like we've. Both kind of had the same kind of arc and you live on Long Island? And you go live in New York for a while now in La like. Your purse, you'd like a working an entertainment at the at and you know people who are doing it too like I know people at different levels who are doing it sometimes, it's you go back and you're like so my friend who's like a producer on this and Blah Blah Blah, and then I'll catch myself saying I'm like man what the fuck of my even how did this even happen? That I'm saying Shit like this and but at the same time, it's totally these are like totally like normal jobs that you would have out here because it's like an industry town, but it just sounds like I'll catch myself from that perspective of like a kid on Long Island I'm what the fuck my even talking about right now I do I remember when my brother when I lived in. My second apartment in Brooklyn when I was living in Red Hook with my wife and my brothers. texting with my brother and my off to go to the cafe like Oh. So you can have wi fi and your taste and it was like Oh my God. Yes. WHO HAVE I become? An hour later I came back around I was like, wait a minute. Mock me. Wireless Internet but that is like the long island attitude. Let me guess you can't have your fucking and you gotta go to the cafe to get the Internet like. Yeah wait no, that's okay. That's city. Life Yeah. That's that's that's another great point. People don't really bus balls out here like that feels like a very, new? York. Long. Island thing is like grow but his busting balls out there with my girlfriend I was busting my godmother's balls for as busting Freddie's balls and and then I actually legitimately said I'm just busting his balls and she's like I can't believe people one that you just make fun of each other and to like you just used sincerely used the term busting balls like yeah. We bust each other's balls out here. This is what I said to my wife. The other day I'm like I think everyone on Long Island is ten percent funny or higher I mean obviously like we got Eddie, Murphy, Seinfeld, Junkie very.

"You can't stare into the Acetylene Torch more than two hours at a time. They take all these conversations that have had like. Has Justin like never expressed to me that he wanted to weld and now. It's like they give them a company car and. Get this, he gets a gas card and he can't really use it for his own car, but he can't drive the van on the weekends if he wants and save himself gas money that's money in the pocket. That's the way everyone in my family and everyone I know we always joke that there's A network of my mom's friend. Everyone's like actually my mom's friend those a guy over. This guy that lives down the street from my mom I don't want to. Changes name but not as a nickname so we call them. Mob John. got a different first name, but we literally call a mob John Because. He's like from Sicily. Not a citizen. He's about like fifty something very racist guy but also like a like nice to you. But like still just say the most out of pocket. My mom is friends with them for whatever weird reason I'm not sure. Doesn't have any form of like real income that anybody can discern. He says, he works in real estate, but he's never he's always home. And he drives he his wife doesn't drive drives everywhere and he has a lot of cash on hand. I. DuNNo. Drive that's out there. They're five people like that on my mom's block like. In the want to Belmore area. She like the dude lives across the street from my mom has like a house that now has like had added two stories in the course of like the ten years of my mom's living there and this dude. And everyone knows he bought his house for cash like that's that's like that's a long he bought my dad was like. A guy like that get cash like that. I'm just saying has a lot of cash you know and it's like that this do now is a hot tub he has like F. S. Sports. Car Family car all in this and his house is visibly three times. The size of everyone else's I'm. My Mom's friend around the block owns a construction company and has built by to tears on top of there is like the most long island's shift is to not leave your neighborhood is just like, oh You're fucking house up more and more like repaving the driveway and adding above ground pool and etcetera etcetera etcetera. Absolutely. Like my my neighbors across the street it's like A. Three generations of the family living in the house. What they do is like you like dig out the entire basement and that becomes a house and then you blow it out, you put a whole extension on the top. Now you've got another house on top of the House and you just make your property like this. quickly. Mushrooming mcmansion. Yeah and I think part of that is how expensive property taxes on. Not, moving the Manhasset I'm not moving to Brentwood I can afford it. Now I'd rather just stack another fucking thing on top of my house and then also on long. Island to it's you you have way more connections. Everyone has way more connections in the contracting world where it's I brought my cousin Ronnie will put all fucking second floor on the house he says for six Geez it's like I can't be good. Now, is one of my summer jobs was my next door neighbor add like a contracting company and he was A. A YOU WANNA, make some extra money paying cash. I set tile for a summer, I. How the fuck to set tile but I was like setting Alvarez or. Grab my uncle was a landscaper. He owns his own landscaping company I worked for them in the summers before I became a lifeguard flow and leaves or whatever and then eventually he like started doing construction in the winter and my uncle God bless them nice guy hard worker never did construction before this but still hire me for. CAST. All right we gotta sheet rock all these walls on. What I'm doing he's doing me neither. We'll figure it out like putting the fucking whole walls in and a dude's house. It's like we're gonNA fucking drop the ball here. Mighty winning.

"The amount of times that people went ham on me at the Roosevelt field exit or the Source Mall Exit. The fucking. I'm like I'm sorry the car stopped them seventeen years old trying to get it I. Just WanNa, go to fucking get free Bourbon chicken at the food court and someone's behind me like serve. Sure. When I got to be when I moved to La was the first time I ever drove a new car, my entire life because at least a brand new car and it was like I had lived in New, York City for eight years. So missed all these cars and then I come out here and I just get a twenty thirteen jettas, my first car, and I'm just like Holy Shit driving a brand new it felt insane. I'm driving in the Internet. Immediately felt. I only had old cars and also had driven for ten years. So everything was I was like Whoa touchscreen. was like so stupid to me. Say you are a lifeguard I was I worked for New York State, which meant like I emptied garbage cans. I would go out with the stick and pick up garbage on the beach. I, drive that truck that would go down the beach and we'd throw like the garbage bags in the back with that shit that we would do you guys were like the gods to us. We were like cleaning the bathrooms. We'd watch you guys. You'd have that little wooden house that you got to hang out in a shack baby they sack. Even allowed near the shack. No. We were housing not allowed to go even look at the shack and it was it was like a real. It was a real object of like jealousy to look at the fucking shack. That's just jog out and they jog out and then they come back and they just hang out in the shack. They have TV in there and I've radio in there. It was such a fucking. I never had status like that in my life and I got it. I. Got it when I was like eighteen and I never had I'll never have that status again where someone will come up to you where you're sitting there I'm nineteen sitting there in Speedo, and someone's like excuse me Mr. Lifeguard, an adult woman I have some questions and I'm like they have no idea that I'm fucking. pissed my bed last night like waste. And now. And also all this weird stat and it goes to your head the lifeguards think they're like fucking seals. Not Let. Let me tell you. You don't need to tell me that the lifeguards absolutely thought they were fucking Navy Seals. You'd see them like after a helicopter they'd. I would say like once a week. Maybe, twice a month there'd be somebody who got fucked up. By either like boogie boarding they like crunched their back boogie boarding or a riptide was legitimately a big problem out there that they'd have to land like the helicopter on the on the beach and then drag them out and you'd see you'd see the lifeguards after that and they just like what's up saved the life again I guess we saved the life again, we have nothing more than like. Standing around with like our whistle on our BICEP and are fucking speedo sunglasses nothing else being like. A Harry one, we'd better watch the fuck and suck stand number s three. You know we would just be like three West is off his popping off today. Let's get some fucking vets out there like we loved it. So fucking much and I truly is the best job I've ever had to date and I've since been on television and. Smoke weed every once in a while and like still lifeguarding making fucking like fifteen eighty, five an hour when I'm like seventeen and nineteen eighty nine is unreal. Not only that, but then you get like if you work fourth of July, now you're getting the holiday time and then they always ask you to work overtime you get in the time in the half that was like the most money ever seen. My One paycheck would be like my entire summer salary was you worked fourth of July. Like Holy Shit I'm rich. Now because that weekend they would just be like we need everybody on and you're doing ten hour days and fourth of July, and because it's a state job, it has like some good benefit like it has some protections and it's like, Oh you get paid time and a half on fourth of July Memorial Day and and because it's a busy day at the beach, they do need all hands on deck. So everyone's they're getting paid time and a half the VIBE is holy Shit. It's going to be a hard day, but we're fucking making bank like I'm fucking seventeen and on on a time and a half day. Twenty four dollars an hour it was incredible today it was incredible and the Jones beach lifeguards get our union. We have three hours off every day like you're only in the you're in the stand every other hour it's not technically off, you're supposed to be training or you're on backup or you're doing shit but. So like you can do the math where you're like I'm getting paid twenty dollars an hour today I'm only in the stand for four. I'm getting paid fifty dollars an hour to be in the stand right now and then I get an hour up and you're just you feel like a fucking king and fucked me up even the attitude. Even the attitude of the patrons at the beach they like. There was no disrespect towards the lifeguards zero. Yeah. Because it was like it is you're at the beach like everyone was Jones Beach Guy really say like you get paid to go wherever you. Go on their day off and it's like Oh yeah that's like you gotTa. Have that attitude it's fucking the. We're going to talk more about, Long Island's not just me everyone who listens guys like are graded screaming about lifeguard. I. It's it's on my mind right now as I like reevaluate what I'm looking for in a career and a life, and as I haven't been going outside or doing stuff that frequently the last few months I fucking put my email address down on the La County lifeguards I'm like. Test is a forty. I'm going to be forty years old maybe I'll start lifeguarding. My wife is like, no, you have so many other things should be doing that with with your time on my bride biggest starts like bucks an hour. Here's the thing about here's the thing about working at the beach. You know when I worked there, I saw shit that I Would never imagine seeing. People fucking in broad daylight people flocking. People fucking in the bath house pool because like one corner of it like the Sun through the open roof throws one piece of shadow across one corner and and people like Oh nobody can see us fucking right here in this corner of the pool every day see shit like that like people having wild fights. Razi like calm lazy riot fights like like I've I've been involved in like I'm in a Speedo and me and four other lifeguards. Beefing with dudes and jeans drinking coronas bike and. Nineteen these are in their twenties, tattered it up long island up you know fucking traps and everything screaming at us and I'm like are we we about? Of course we're all nineteen year old. Yeah. Let's fucking fight these guys on the beach where it is still. A still ready to. Give someone a two piece on the beach of I have to. So I worked at mostly field six, which is like the most. Of the download on on the fields on Jones. Beach, it's the family beach and it was very sought after because you didn't have to like you didn't park across the causeway. You parked right at the beach and you just stepped out you're on the sand shortest parking and also the shortest beach of sand of all events ranch too. So it's like from parking lot to water. It's why it's the family beach. 'cause you gotTa Carry Eleven boogie boards and digging and Shit like that. So. That lot fills up by like eight am on the. We'd am like a fucking madhouse add to that that it's the end of like the of the official beach. If you just walk one hundred yards out past the dunes, that's where there's nude sunbathers. That's where there's all types of stuff going on. That was my first introduction to gay culture was like being one, thousand, nine hundred and hearing about field nine. Yeah, and I just didn't. There was a gay bar in Belmar called Pal Joey's, but we didn't know anything about it. I knew a couple of gay kids my school but the I I really learned about like a bunch of old gay men hang out there and they sunbathe and they and I'm like, yeah, and like all the fucking homophobe Hetero. Dudes are like, yeah you like see them fucking in the dunes and she's disgusting it's like what? We're fucking chicks in the shower here. No different. So we that parking lot filled up quick and what we had the system where we shut it drag. This like one of those where wooden horses across the Entry Way and we count cars until like fifty spots opened up, and then we let fifty in and then.

"Big Picture on our Van Thin Jason. Concepcion to Scott Pilgrim super fans. Thank you for being here. Guys. I wanted you both found because I. Know that your fans and being a fan is is complicated. These days is a ten year old movie. I WANNA go back to the moment ten years ago for both you. Maybe you could tell me a little bit about when you first saw this movie and what your initial reaction to it was. I was shamed into it. Yeah it was shame, so happens ally of the best things in life have come directly from Shane and so I missed it in. It's the actual run didn't see it and talking to a friend of mine and a friend of mine goes. WHO's talking to me about this? Great show that he had heard that was coming to HBO. And the show is called game of thrones, and it was coming to hbo the little while he was telling me about holidays, books and stuff like that, and then he says to me he goes, but I have a feeling. You just a surface nerd anyway. And I know I am the nerdiness of the nerdy. He goes well. Did you see Scott Pilgrim vs the world in theaters, and I no surface Nerd, so then he tells me after. See the movie I watch it and right away. I was blown away. And I had the DVD I would have the DVD and I just like Lucht DVD over and over and over and over and over again to the point to where my girlfriend was just beside herself in hating the movie. She hates worse than anything else. Woman What was it that clicked? Why? Why did you respond to it right away? First of all the character of Scott, just how he is both the hero, and in many ways the villain of the movie at the same time. You know what I mean. He is the guy that you're rooting for, but he is completely like personally. He's a jar. And like I was going through a period in my life without sort of me and I I relate related to in one part of the world. Be having this intense longing, and then in another part of the world, actually sitting on all the people who are actually there for you and plus just the way that it was directed the use of the characterization, how everyone was a little tool to make this sublime sort of arcade game comic book world. I'd never seen anything like it onscreen still having to this day.

He married <Speech_Male> I? Don't <Speech_Male> know like major details <Speech_Male> about this guy's life who I've <Speech_Male> known for years <Silence> and <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> so yes, <Speech_Male> some of that stuff <Speech_Male> will will happen. <Speech_Male> I'm hoping by the end <Speech_Male> of it. We <Speech_Male> will go through like we <Speech_Male> become even better <Speech_Male> friends, and then at some <Speech_Male> point we hate each other, <Speech_Male> and then we like bill <Speech_Male> comes back, and <Speech_Male> then it comes back around <Silence> stronger than <Speech_Female> ever. <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Female> Yet a similar <Speech_Female> you know I think <Speech_Female> I think the <Silence> the title. <Speech_Female> <SpeakerChange> Is <Speech_Male> it's <Speech_Male> not even really a metaphor <Speech_Male> for <Speech_Male> what this kind <Speech_Male> of a <Speech_Male> project would mean <Speech_Male> to me in terms <Speech_Music_Male> of my relationship with <Speech_Male> Shay. "What's Ex PAT? Let's see this next one is from at bowed saw Wah check food notably had major differences between the SNES and genesis versions. Are there any games. You've played where you felt like you got an inferior experience because of the platform. Yes yes so. Drastic pork for genesis was awesome Jurassic Park for Super Nintendo was not awesome And was like a cartoon version But I I had the genesis version so I guess I didn't answer this question. Correct you answered it in reverse order well well again but I played. I played the drastic Park Super Nintendo version like blockbuster rental or something I and I was like Oh. This game is terrible bowl and then didn't get genesis one until it went on budget by and then got unbudgeted by and I was like. Oh this is fun. I get to plays a velociraptor. Let's edit out out my answer. My answer is probably. I don't think this is the best example because it was actually a decent port but it just paled in comparison to the PC version Asia of doom sixty four. And it's just like it was pretty good at it but like as far as you know the frame rate and the graphics and certainly the control troll of that trying to control with that you know that Wonky Nintendo sixty four controller they mostly like but the CC buttons as opposed to the dual sticks. They get later. Consoles consoles was just not as good Jason Anything. Come to mind Recently I downloaded over watch for the intend to switch and his off. Oh what a bummer is off afoul really fun game that I enjoy playing mindlessly on. ps four or xbox and on switch. It's just absolutely worst. Wow that's not that really sucked. That's too bad I got I bought for when I when I was. I think when I was still watching football god this was a long time ago but I bought like Madden Ninety nine or two thousand. Jesus Christ that was so long ago. Oh my God what a different world any years. Those'll Mike God But I bought one of those for pc and it was just like like it was just so much less fun to play on a computer. I don't know what it was about like even graphically was basically on par but it was just like this. This sucks. This stops ops feeling like I think as you watch sports on TV that like playing it on a computer. It just doesn't feel like the same experience I don't know that might have just been my own weird psychosis awesome. What else we got this at Mario Ish Gambino who is a celebrity? Now that should have a game. And what does that game look like. It's a pretty good Yeah well that's a pretty good name. Good Mario wish Gambino Johnny good I'm surprised there's not a Nicholas cage game. It feels. It feels like it would be like all different. John like each level would be a different genre and it would be like nick cage trying to escape from a video game one level would be like a fighting game in one level would be like a platformer and you just be trying to get him out like he makes mix all that surprising to me that he doesn't have a game it'd be fun to pitch a Nicholas Cage. Because I feel like his his question would be like so and is this real. UH-HUH I for some reason when I thought of was there's a lot of these cooking games and there are a lot of you know like they're they're they tend to be like these kind of very kid oriented ones like cooking cooking Mama and I thought like if if they're org all ages is a better way to say that but I think there is. There is a market for like a top chef style. With you know you get like Padma locks me and you get like a you you get the actual judges from the show or you just get licensed like Emerald or Roy Choi and make like a a a a cooking game for adults so as a same sort of mechanics but it is kind of like sleeker style presentation. Yeah that's a great idea. We've got two great hit US up at age. Gt peapod at the email. I had a similar thought nick except mine was a Guy Fieri fighting games that would be the Guy Fieri should have a game. I'm surprised is he does it. He would be a great video game about a fighting game. And it's all celebrity chefs there. You Go and you could have Guy Fieri Rip Gordon. Ramsey's head the iron chef. Yeah I I'd be into that just you know don't let go Papa Dean on the roster uh-huh creates mission. I want to see her stage. Yeah Okay and this next one is from at a w north St. What's your favorite celebrity cameo in video game? I Burt Reynolds and state roads three interest. Damn I've got one. I've got well. Heather literally raised her over so excited when Peter Serafinowicz who is a huge fan of dark souls got to be a voice in the sequel allow. So you like walk around and then suddenly here Peter Serafinowicz his voice. And you're like Oh that's great. He liked it so much and we're so public about it that they put him in the game and then made me really happy boy. I don't know if I have a good one adjacent thought of anything Michelle Rodriguez and halo two. Oh sure yeah that was fun. That was pretty cool. You can be Shrek and Tony Doc. Four that doesn't I like that. That's good that's my answer is Tony. Oh you know what. I'm looking at a literal quick to refresh my memory and I know he is is problematic but it was kind of amazing to see Michael Jackson and Space Channel par-five sorry space channel five part to Because I thought that was a that was when the dreamcast rhythm game in the fact that he's like such a huge defend the fact that he actually cropped up was just kind of like. Wow Okay this reclusive guy. Actually I put himself in a game but I do not agree with Michael Jackson on some of the things that he made..

"Ding Ding Ding fighting baseball. Jason you're correct values our winner that it was a tie. It was tile everybody wins. I lost my Jason Heatherton. Okay everyone wins. Except for Christ Christ Christ with the rebound shout out to a to a large man on twitter who posts posted the roster for fighting baseball from super FAMICOM in Japan. Only baseball game where they Approximated a bunch of fake American names because they did not have an MLB license and sleaze some other characters characters Anatoly Morin glenallen Nixon. Tony smerek Dwight Rotor goal. That's a great great great lists of names here all right. It's time for the question block. All Right Oh oh there it goes okay. This is from at a real Charles on twitter. What's the use of starpower licensed games starting celebrities or photo realistic celebrities starring as random characters in games interesting question feels like a very prescient Question based on and Conan O'Brien appearance in death stranding. Yeah sure well there's there. I mean a lot of the character a lot of the actors and I just watched that eight minute trailer. That would it just came out today as of this recording and seems like a lot of the character models are very closely modelled on the actors who are portraying them in realize Toro's in the game. Yeah I I personally can't wait to manage the urine level of Norman. Read it throughout this game right Jim has done it again. I it's I. I can't wait to play that game. Yeah I'M GONNA say that it's weirder when it's weird that we have gotten to a place where actors are in Games Games. But they're not actually in the game. They're like they're CG version is in the game so that's like if you really familiarized that that's far weirder to act in a game than it is to be like. I'm Shaquille O'Neal rate. This is my game that I'm in. Does anyone know if the they're they're getting a likeness straights for because they know. There've been some controversies where actors really a character model was so clearly inspired by an actor by real actor and then they were like. Hey that's just basically put me in the game the last of us being a prime right But I do know if if is Norman Reedus like getting did he get some some rights like warriors his likeness rights taken to this character mall or something. I wonder do you think I'm serious down. What do you think the over under his on seeing his penis in the game like a CG Oh gee insertion of his? It's a Kojima game. I put it at ninety eight percent. I believe Kojima commented that you do not see his dad. There's got to be a code. The coffee version. I I read. Norman Rita's Dick wasn't in the game and I punched a hole so we just just see a dikla stream of this out. What is this freaky game? I really wonder. Yeah if someone's someone's GonNa Monitor unlock unlock the camera. And what are you going to see. Is there something like weird. Lead chloe escort the body. Everything you need to know about Kojima Emma as an arturo video games to me can be summed up by the fact that in the last metal gear game in order to bond. Quiet one of your companions to you you could stare at her breasts in the helicopter. That was the McCann Kojima Kazan. That's how you doing more insight into the female mind you deal Kajima or George arm. Yeah I it's a tie very tough. I think that this is a yeah. I honestly think that I don't mind. Ah Gotten used to seeing an actor character model in a game. That's based off an actor and they're voicing it as well like I don't find that as jarring anymore it is. It is getting more realistic. which I guess is kind of a little uncanny Candy Valley but for me? It's just there's so much licensed track that is just somebody's name and image being used to promote a completely unrelated game and I think that's very much the case Shaq Fu so I feel like that is a practice that I feel is little weirder is the word I'd use but it's it's like a thing where I'm just like well. Why are you? Why did you put your face in name on this for match three game on an Iowa store you know all right? What's the next question? Okay this is from at fire. Fire slicer on twitter. If you guys had a licensed game made about you what genre would it be. Oh boy wow. That's that's a tough question. It's a big. This is a big thing too big big decision to make. I think that first of all if there was a license game about me The genre would be would be low selling. I know I think that I really like I mean I really like. RPG's I think that it would be fun to have some sort of like a mother ask like real world RPG with that sort of a retro aesthetic. Like I would be. They look like a sixteen bit. Good look like sixteen bit game I. That's what I think I would be in to me. Just a friendless in middle school or so the magical powers. I'm heather GONNA buy an. Yeah so you know like rock band were you like have to like press a button. Yeah so it'd be like that exhibited it'd be a conversation Asian and the law like the longer the other character makes eye contact with the partner conversation becomes so it would just just be a conversation simulator and and the and just trying to get through the conversation without fail. I I for me I think it would be. I'd call it your manager online and it would just be a game about an online game in which you manage the urine level in..

"Straining time fall is available beginning November seventh on spotify Apple Music Amazon itunes Music Pandora. And more Y- yeah. Let's talk about Shack Fu. Yeah so you you mentioned you played this as a kid or you've messed around with a little when you're younger Jason. Heather had you ever played this game. No do you must have been aware of it though. I mean yeah I was like a legislative win I was aware of it right and also delphine software made One of my favorite games of the era which was out of this world. Yeah and they also meet flashback. Follow up and it's fascinating because they were such talented artists and animators and that element is definitely President Sheldon literally. Saddest tech as flashback in check Fu and that's yeah I mean that's why it looks but here's looks very fluid. No nobody fucking plays flashback. And it's like you know what would be awesome as if this was a fighting. I Ah Yeah it is. It's clearly they didn't have an engine or they didn't have the maybe the technology or maybe just the know how to make this game feel like a fighting game. Part of Prince of Persia is the combat. Yes right yeah. And this was essentially that as the the core we're concept of the game story right and you can't really be you have to be so anticipatory because of how long how many frames are end. The animations yeah But it is is it is still a fascinating like the this developer also made these kind of amazing and innovative adventure platformer. Apparently I I read that that this was they of course wanted shack to a basketball game in shack basically was like can we just do mortal combat with me which I think is an awesome move uh-huh and he was at that point. Where had that cloud you mentioned his his credits at the time He was on the Orlando Magic. This was before his his Lakers period his Lakers there's rain on his album. Shaq diesel had just about the previous year this pre pre steal this was before shacks like real wretched. I guess maybe the first of his really bad pop culture properties. So the. Here's one thing I'd say. Is that the nothing here. Seems original. Everything seems aims lifted from a different fighting game or different intellectual property in terms of all the characters everything now. This is as I was doing my research on this. It's a little little. It's a little hazy whether this game was truly made for shack there's a lot of suspicion that there is the Delfin was working on something that was Some other project and then got the contract for me to make this game and was also throw shack the game that we have. What are you guys make of that? It is so the story I mean. I guess this story is so bizarre. Yeah and it does seem like the that very easily could have been a different sort of character that was originally intended. Four it and there's really nothing in it outside of shack and his character model. In the fact that he wears like a clear version of it or Orlando Magic Road uniform. That says Shack Jack on the front of it. There's really nothing in it that really touches basketball at all one hundred percent so the story kind of broadly shack is in Japan. Yes doing charity thing. He's the he's the Intro I have here is downtown Tokyo. I'm checking out the local sites on the day of my all star Charity Game Win and then he walks into a a Kung Fu Kung Fu studio which is by the way Chinese mark. Yes SORTA Pan Asian approach. They have which changes you know. And then he he goes watch this talks to this Kung Fu master and this Kung Fu master tells him greetings big warrior. You're one from the stars. I presume I thought I'd never live to see the day an all star if that's what you mean a young warrior and then he ushers him. This is great no time to explain. Go Oh through this portal zoo and save him before it's too late. So that's all the context jackass like. Yeah okay just sort of just walked and so he enters what's called the second it's world also there's like it's not like he's like brought like in the mortal Kombat movie. There ushered to an island. It's explained to this like you are going in to fight to the death. He the first thing that happens to shack is the world map. Yeah so he's not only is he like in a place he's never been but he's not at at the location. He needs to trek across the continent to get to his first fight. I will say the world map I found to be kind of engaging I like the world like that kind of top down like. Oh there's this other structures yeah just like the side scrolling fighter thing thing. Here's this almost three D. but obviously not kind of exploration world that gives you this kind of illusion that I have some kind of choice in in what challenged shack rakes on first. And you get you have this tiny little shack that you get to move around this this map and it does make it feel like Each of shacks steps is a mile like covering so much ground Maybe they're overestimating astrid like a little bit but he is but it's free roaming. It's not like you have these paths. You can just walk wherever right. Yeah and then. So you fight some of these fighters I guess let's talk. Let's talk through some of the fighters that you get through in the story mode. Well one of the things that I. I'd like to point out. Is that when you're fighting these fighters like you've got the streetfighter style screen in with character pictures up at the top of this and shaggy smiling Through the entire fight but when he wins he becomes angry yet. He gets sorted. Listen Radio after. He is like victorious. That he screamed. Right there's also. The other characters are reacting to have view if you watch the character portraits while the fight is going on there reacting to how well they're doing and if they if they start to lose they get sad in a way where it looks like. They're just disappointed out of this happen. It's really It's it's really crazy to watch their faces. Drop as they get beaten to a pulp So some of the characters you've got a rock You've got beast. Who is a super? He's like shack size. He's a big like he's a big like Goro slash lobster creature writing and I interpreted him as lava he kinda is just like. It does seem like he's made a lot of beast. It says that his I mean his his backstory is these created from sets from his own shadow and sets. Raw is the bad guy who was basically mum raw from From thunder thunder cats. I like something caters. There's a character named diesel like Shaq. Diesel accept this guy's a longshoreman from San Francisco Docks. There's there's the colonel who's kind of like a Jack's slash macho man randy savage And then there's a Oh the I love. Shacks Bio Shack is a dominating force on and off the hoops court rookie of the year perennial all star and founder of Chicago extremely lethal martial. Art Form. I I like that the things that they say to each other before each fight right. Yeah which is the only window you get into like anybody psychology. That's going on in this insane fucking game but when he meets diesel he his only thing he says is you. Call yourself diesel. Ha like he makes fun of that Dude's name well He. He claims the name diesel himself. Shack does shack does yes. Yes how dare another man claiming he is diesel coming across another guy who calls himself the big aristotle name that when he goes up against the female like the I don't know if she's a Voodoo warrior. What was her lay Orey? Yeah that he's like your magic can't can't hurt me. Girlfriend Overdue Voodoo characters named food and then she replies. My magic has never lost a fight and and I'm not your girlfriend. I wanted to ask about the character. Mathis M. E. P. H.. Do we think that that is a misspelling in a memphis. Or is that like a Mephistopheles. I hearing you talk through it. I assume like a shortening of AF- elise he does look like just like a green skeletal. Latorre Palette swap skeletal. There's also like the city of Memphis in Egypt Ryan and the main villain is like an Agip Agip. This games like fucking nut that make any sense. Laura's hard to track there's a cat lady named Khaiauri I like that. She's he's being mind controlled and for no reason like you know like she could have just been a bad guy but they're like oh I'm free we now I'm free from the mind control. What the fuck is happening in this game? Also Nezu the kid that you're liking for child wild. You're looking for when you find him. You beat the Shit. Shit that is that was eminently confusing to me. He also kind of the best playable character of all of them like very easy to use Shack weirdly has like the weakest set of of of moves. Shock Kinda sucks. I will say this special moves are the Shekar Akin and the Shaquille O'Neal back back. Yeah the so but in the story mode you have to be shack. You're you're forced to play shack in the dual mode. You can play some of these other characters who are are a little bit of The way it's balanced shack is seems like he's he's a lower tier. It is funny to think of a fighting game where you like you like start the game. It's like if streetfighter was like no. You're review story. You get to see all these other people inside. No no no no no. That's a weird angle for a fighting. Just a character select screen with everyone great out for one. You get a There's a story so midway through you're going through your beating the crap out of all these characters there's an F. B. Basically the pattern is after you beat them up. They have a brief cut scene where they come to their senses and maybe admire shack. Eventually more of the map opens up about about midway through. There's a baffling cut scene. That is not paid off somewhere in the second world beasts brings his skeleton soldiers to life never again and strategy yeah. I think that they're obviously. I think there was some other secret project that Delvin was working scrapped when they got this when they got the contract. It's sort of like the way that Michael Jackson may or may not have been involved in sonic the hedgehog three and then and then you're like Oh. This music is reminiscent of the album that he was about to bring out like maybe this was like an entirely different project. It could have been speaking of Music Matt. Do we have any of the music from this game. Name I do think is good. Music is good. I'm sorry what yeah the music tear. I was into it. I liked it. Hold on listen to this title theme here ago. Aw.

"Win the MVP EP. That's all I WANNA do right. It's it's fun to put yourself in the game. I just wish that they didn't have to do all that. Non Basketball related stuff. 'cause yeah I always liked creating a version of me. I go the opposite direction. I make myself like seven. Five thousand shacks is I just. I have my same head but but just a gigantic muscular body. There was a game recently. Where you could upload a photo and it would allow you to have your own face in it? Is that true. Yeah this is this is a I gotten pretty common in these games. I don't re- I well. It works to it okay. Degree some of them. It looks like a bomb nation but other ones that looks pretty good. Yeah I did it for myself and I think in two K.. And I looked just like an Asian Post Malone and if they added a bunch of Sir what do you do and Eliza open this up to everybody because Shack Jack. Even if you're not a basketball fan I feel like it's just like the celebrity that everyone has an has some sort of take on adjacent are you. Are you lay. What do you feel about shack? You certainly more known for being on inside the days than than is playing accola achievements. But he was a tremendous player. I think the thing that people need to think about when they consider this bad game then I think by the way as an aside. I think it's a little overblown. How bad people say it? Is it really that bad. But Shaq was like twenty twenty one at the time. He did this right. He had recorded a rap album which is really a first. He'd been on a rap album with real rap artists right he Was the most exciting young player in the League and he had been in blue chips so a major motion picture. He had done things that at his age other stars hadn't and really kind of was reaping the rewards of fame that Michael Jordan and the generation before for him head kind of laid out as possibilities and he was taking it to the next level right. Yeah it is. I almost feel like you because Michael Jordan was such a huge global superstar superstar in terms of marketing and everything but in terms of making themselves into themselves into a brandon. And this is largely your point. Kinda shack was kind of the person who started that like like. I'm not just a a basketball player. I'm also a rapper and actor and a host. I'm going to have a a all these different brands. I missed that are affiliated with me as a guy I'm heather. How do you feel about Shaquille? O'Neal my favorite thing. I remember about Shaquille O'Neal as they got mad at him because he kept shattering backboards so so even though I was Chicago kid I would tune in to see Shaquille. O'Neal would break is television. The way that like Blake Griffin was like his first season as a matter. I know you're shack freak. I think shack is one of the greatest living American. There's something about him. He's so likable and charming. Arming and I remember being a kid and like Burger King had the shack pack. Do you remember the shack. Pack Right. It was like a sourdot like hamburger sandwich on a sour dough bread. It was so good and I just grew up knowing that that he was a big strong man he was great. He's he's funny. Yeah Yeah. Do we associate shack with sour dough. Bread for some reason it was just like it was like a sour dough like bun basically but it wasn't abundant was flat. Like the like this Sourdough Jack Jack. And they had their marketing it like it was like a shaft parody so it was they had us song and it was like shack. Yeah I'm talking about check and that was part of it and it was like Bacon and cheese and I was like. Why have mom? You GotTa take me to stop making dinner right. You've got to take a Burger King right now jack in the garbage out of here. What do you make of as a shack fan? What do you make of his dabbling with law law enforcement his his fascination with being a sheriff his seeming need to have a badge and two blocks over? Yes that is listen you know. People are complex their good sides and bad sides to everyone checks are cop shack police officer it was like actually a cop and Broward County. Is that not the Kathy. And in most cases I am of the mind But Shack I think being shack.

"Life's an event, and we have the tickets we have to game of thrones. Even though I don't watch game of thrones. I've watched enough to know vaguely what's going on. Yeah. Are you ready for this? I mean, I'm as ready as I can be in training camp right now in my reread and my episodes, right? Seven episodes, six episodes, excuse me. Make sure that six or seven I should know this. I believe it is. But I mean, my rewatch right now and. You know, I am intellectually ready but emotionally unprepared. It's been a huge part of my life. I'm sad to see ago. I just think we talked about this on a flight from LA to Vegas years ago. Now, I just think it's I almost want to get back in just because I don't. I'm sure it's happened. I just don't recall an example of it happening where the secondary adaptation is so far ahead of the source material and is actually going to finish before the source material is even close to like is there. So they know how the author how George wants to end this some degree, but there is a universe in which there is a show that ends a certain way. And then there's a books that either go past that timeline or super different. But this is just crazy the books that are super different. Now, they've done a lot of stuff that is massively divergent from the book from the books. I read your latest piece about what's her name. Caitlyn star. Yeah. He said in the book, there's a high didn't had no idea that there's a whole thing where she comes back to life as a ghost or something. Yeah. I do think that that will assuming that he finishes, and and you know, God, willing godspeed George. I hope you do I think it'll be vastly different for a number of reasons. One being that just the amount of changes that they've made in the series make it so it has to be structurally different just on a fundamental level. And then too I think, you know. You wanna raise your game? Right. You'd want to be better than than the ending. They did if I was him interesting. I'd want to I'd wanna really crush it. And I think that's you know, obviously, I'm projecting now. But I feel like that must be part of his anxiety. Is I have to be better than this like whatever they did. I need to improve that. You know, I I think that's part of the issue. I just I'm just sort of conceptually interested in how they wrap up the show because the whole theme is that no one can win. Well, maybe the humans can win over the dead people. But like, it's it's almost wire Eskin that like the end of violence, the wires, just like it's all going to keep going so resolution data thing structure structural violence and structural in quality continent, west roses is theme of the show and the books. I do think that you know, Danny is talked a lot about real revolutionary change breaking the wheel, and and implementing a different kind of system is that mean democracy or some form of democracy or some kind of like federated continent where the kingdom's are independent but loosely aligned unsure, but I am I am absolutely fascinated to find out what that means. I'm not gonna lie. I'm rooting for the end of the game of thrones tourism boom in Dubrovnik. It's just it's just insane. They just go there. They wanna see the red keep they wanna see the want to walk down the steps like crowds of hundreds of people. There's wars where you walk down never gonna stop. No, you're right. It's not it's never gonna stop. It's going to go on for fifty sixty centers of fake iron thrown like a plastic replica the throne that people find in the old city, and they all take they pay an absurd amount of money to take picture sitting on the real one is in a museum in the basement on an island just off the old city where you could actually you can go see the Real IRA and Trump. Wow. Yeah. So you go every year every in August, usually, I'm gonna go. I'm going to go out this year..

"Headsail. Yes. Oh, so from for help off, they're wonderful, people, you wanna marry a hustle. Same favorite book. Right. Am I mine are five and six in no particular order? I think we're similar my favorite disorder. The Phoenix five. What why is that your favorite because? You know, coming off of goblet fire, which is just incredible thrill ride, especially the last third where the try was tournament starts. And then you have spoiler voldemort coming back in the fight in the graveyard and all that. It's absolutely chilling. And then you get to five and. I'm not sure what your expectations are at that moment. You're thinking, oh, it's really gonna increase in intensity. But JK does something really interesting, which is she makes Harry this really kind of angsty annoying teen, and I just found it one absolutely natural as a piece of character development. And have a prolonged falling out of that book. Right. He's like the thing is about Harry in that book is he's fifteen right? He's like I want to play sports and meet girls. But also I have to like I have to figure out what's going on with the dark Lord beam. We'll get in my mind. And all it's yeah. I have to save the world. I have to go train with snap who I hate. And who hates me. And all I wanna do is like a kiss a girl and go play sports, and this is really pissing me off. And so that just seemed like I get it. Like, I I understand that feeling that seemed really natural to me. And then also the other thing is he just that's a really brave thing for author to do. Like now after the best book in the series goblet fire. I'm gonna make my league character kind of unlikable. And I think that's really a ballsy courageous and earned thing to do. And it really sets up the back half of the. So I didn't read the books in real time. I read them all when seven was about when the last one was about to be released. I've binged them all was I didn't same thing did four like did this. Oh, you did the same thing. So did four in real time. Did it make a leap with four like in popularity and like like, I wonder if because four is obviously the pivot at like, okay? This is now a serious this no serious and speaking of someone so I wasn't reading at that time. But. You knew that vote. Like, I it was enough of a pop culture phenomenon at that point that you knew about it. If even if you didn't know about it. So the fact that Bullimore had come back was so big, and it was in the news people were talking about it. So I do think there was some kind of step up in popularity because you understood that the villain has now arrived on the scene after being hinted at for one to three books release fear a book. On the puck. I don't know. If I have a least I dunno. I think least is a little uncharitable, but chamber of secrets is probably the. Slowest read, but there's so much important stuffing. I like to I think chamber of secrets is underrated. I like I like January of secrets I mean, I I don't like I don't dislike any of them. But I think if there was one I had to put last it'd be chamber. But again, there's so much important setup above old Morton all that in there. I think one is the this one. I like one though one's going to set your setting up seven is sneakily in contention for me sneaky seven is amazing. The back that last ages. Unbelievable like emotionally cathartic and thrilling action. I don't watch the prints the oath the beginning of half blood prince's like when she she writes, the two prime ministers chapter. That's where she really gets a flex their muscles. And be like, oh, look, I can also do this. I can also do this other thing writing style. She's she's really incredible listeners, you know, that getting tickets to sporting events for friends and visitors used to stress me out there were too many sites to check on the secondary market. Am I getting a good deal? Am I getting the best deal? I can get what if there's a better season..

"Four of them who is anyone been angry at you about their appearance or your your impersonation of them were any joke on NBA desktop. I'm sure that that has happened. But nobody has said anything directly yet. Now, we strive to kind of make fun of everyone's that there's no equal opportunity opportunity. So hopefully that allays any kind of like a bad feelings. But I would imagine that somebody at some point got mad and made me Brian clench. Hello, well, I do think of him. When asked this question. So so wait. So you've also at you had him beat on his right hand Turcoman Kanter came on. He came on his anyone else that you've actively pitched to come on follow heeded, the call needed to Sarah son, bovine, we just kind of gathered up because we saw him lurching past the lot and we were like and we'd waived him in and he came in. He's just seems like the best guy in the whole really sweet man, like truly truly truly sweet man, who's your dream. Who's who's the next like we got to get this guy on, you know, miles Plumlee, I want to talk about I want to talk about burning man. I don't know. It's like. Remember, the Knicks Plumlee that's another good answer. There was like where they wasn't Mason. It's the other one Mason is in Denver. Mild atlanta. It's the Marshall plump Marshall. And there was all those like three games like why he could be he could be a pick and roll dive, man. Like, no. He's just the third public is like good will hunting where will recounts like the names of all his brothers and sisters Marshall, Mason was the other one, I don't know miles. I can't even remember, oh, I haven't seen good will hunting since the theater true story. Well, liked it in theater. Good moving thought. Many driver's performance was was was the best. The magnetic incredible. Really good performance. I agree. I thought the Colangelo collar the growing who thought of that every day until the color gets bigger and bigger. I don't I don't remember. But it seemed like a bit that we should a hundred percent. It was a fantastic. But I felt I did feel bad for him. I still feel about it from about the whole thing. I feel bad for that was a good..

"The corgi our you. Hello. I'm I'm doing fantastic. How are you? I'm good. It's great to see you. It's good to see you. What a fantastic what a fantastic thing to be here together at this long holiday swans. Is this for you? This is three. Yeah. But to it being actually involved in it. You gotta be involved be above this much better than not being involved. You can go in the room and go into speakers room. I think that's important to really get the full experience. Yes. It's a large conference today will do escape through a small private yet. Very important. Yeah. Doing good you doing well everything. Good. I feel good. I think you know, I feel healthy got you know, knock on wood, miss New York at all. I do. I do miss New York L A's fine. The weather's great. It's been cold. It's been raining all the time. If it's raining a lot. That said, you know, when it's not raining. It's still like almost seventy degrees in February and March which is great being out here in Boston where it's nineteen degrees. And I'm walking around being like, why do people live like this owing again tomorrow, it's going to just keep snowing every year March comes and I tell my wife, we're almost there. It's going to be spring soon. And she's like, you're such an idiot. Mark sucks every year and every year on March. I it's nose, and she's like see what an idiot you are didn't even wait till March fifth March. I it's knows she's smarter than you. I get my hopes up for March every year. It's stupid. It's stupid. So the weather's great. But like, I do miss New York's vibe, but I am in a place in my life where I'm willing to trade like twenty percent of a city's vibrancy for seventy degree weather year round fair. Where are you a month later on the Kristaps Porzingis straight? I feel your larger dealt son. Moving onto college moving on. What's what's that algae who's out of the house and he's going to pursue his career? I'm not really sure what he's doing. So he's he's like trying to make it enacting. It's a bad decisions. Try. It's like it's he's trying to make it in LA. I wish him. Well, I told him listen, I'm not going to stop you from doing what you wanna do at the same time. You know, don't expect don't expect support. If you need if you need some cash, you're going to have to get a job, my friend. I feel I feel two ways about it. The first way is that. All the kind of buzz around potential, Katie move has made me feel better. There's so many people that are in a position to have an informed opinion. Or like, this is real this is real for various reasons then tick off. That's one. So I feel good about that. Obviously if they land k d you call it a success. The second part of it is this is really no way to run a team. Can you run a team like this where it's like you're gambling on a guy an under the table handshake deal working out over the course of three months, this guy could change his mind at any time. Do you think you could get K D And Kyrie and like if you were friends with both of them, can you tried to meet for coffee duty, you could just do that. Do you think you could actually just meet for coffee, or would they just mix up the days would they be moody with kyri coffee? What why are you? Why are you? Why are you talking about coffee? What does that have to do with? Is it a placebo where is it real? And if it's a placebo effect caffeine is having maybe we're all in the matrix. Yeah. You understand what I'm saying about coffee. Like, why would I don't know if you could get them together for coffee? I think the biggest if they if the Knicks somehow got both of them. I think you would be among the biggest..

"Jason Concepcion Meli Rueben. Welcome to house of call. Hello. That was a that was a great intro. Thank you so much fitness honor to be here. Here's something privilege, the the honor and privilege is is ours. We have circled this this moment in time. It is November. And we're very very excited about the idea of of delivering to all of our hungry home. He's all of our taste buds out there. A Harry Potter view of the feasting the holiday world because we have come to appreciate the feasts of Hogwarts. We know how important food is the entire wizard ING world. And you know, I can't think of any other way to sort of crack that egg. If I can use a food that kind of food euphemism then with with two wizard Ning experts on Molly Weasley right here. Now, let's begin with this. Yes, you both just within the last handful of months. Visited the wizard ING world. It's trail in in Orlando, Florida. I'm my own self have have been there and they have mode. They food a lot of delicious. So is it now I married before the started talked about shipping home to herself. That is a story. Let let's begin. There we hungry homeys. Don't worry we'll get to the food of the wizard ING world. But this this we have to begin in the real wizard world. Well this. The fine people at universal Orlando resorts and the whizzing world understand who their customers. It's true. And man, they are they prepared to sell you a affective. It is quite I mean, you walk into these incredible re-creations of stores, you know, and they have all the products that you've read about read so much about and they looked Alicia and the next thing, you know, you've spent two hundred dollars on candy easily I shipped. Well, I didn't ruby are delightful colleague, Ashley run out of time trip, and we're trying to record a gas an hour before heading to the airport so ruby helped but we the collective shipped. I believe it was thirty one pounds of merch back to our office here in almost all of that was was candy on a lot of can I should say, this is important context. We live in Los Angeles. Yeah. Where there is also a wizard world of Harry Potter, which means I could just I could just go. Get candy. Yeah. Ship this across the country, and my I I think part of it is because. Food is so visceral rights reading about it. I mean, so many things about the story pull you in. And you think I want that? I wish I could experience for moment in time food on the one hand, you might think well, I have food. I can go have a delicious snack if I want. So it's almost counterintuitive to think that something that Israel, delicious food dry you in. But it's that is that that whole Mark of a great fantasy story where it's like the one twist the slight recalibration on something familiar makes it somehow even more exciting. So the idea of like a candy like fizzing wisdom, something that I can eat a candy shop that's gonna make me levity or, you know, pepper Imps like so there's going to be spoke at the years, iced, mice, chattering teeth birdie bots, every flavor being which is a jelly bean where each being is you don't know what you're going to ask literally do not know what the flavor is going to be it could be anything from strawberry earwax. Let. But that's a fun thing with your friends vomit flavored one very unpleasant sardine is the worst one I've ever had truly truly offensive can't even believe they did that to you..
