"May 11th. I'm Brian Gorman with me this evening, James for Lander on the board, Just a reminder full shows all this week. We don't have the Lightning playoff schedule just yet, So I'm not sure how that could impact the show moving forward, But as soon as we know you'll know to also, don't forget you can hear me each morning on our sister station in Miami. From 6 to 10 A.m. just search for double U I o d on your eye, her radio app coming up this hour. We'll talk about the vote set for tomorrow, which will likely oust Liz Cheney from House GOP leadership plus vaccine age eligibility has been expanded when you talk to a public health expert from Nova South. Eastern University about that move by the FDA in a bit right now to talk some Florida politics. Let me bring in the publisher of Florida politics Peter Shore, She confined him in Florida politics dot com and on Twitter at Peter Schorsch, FL. Peter, Thanks for jumping on this evening, and I guess we should start With former President Donald Trump endorsing Senate President Wilton Simpson for the 2022 agriculture commissioner race even though Simpson has an entered it yet. What is that all about? Just trump even know who Wilton Simpson is. I honestly and you don't hear me say it often. I really don't know about Like I'm So Suzie, while two ran Trump's campaign, and in 16 and 20 and Florida is now back. It's kind of the gatekeeper. Mar a lago? I assuming that maybe she knows her. I mean, obviously she knows something, but she had something to do with it. There's also some chatter that Donald Trump wants a casino at the row. Um, you know, and next week is the special section on gambling. They have said that issue of portability, which is like moving One permit to another. It's supposed to be off the is not supposed to be part of what discuss next week. It's just about ratifying the compact, but I don't think that Donald Trump cares too much about this kind of parameter. So this could be his way of Very on brand for Trump to kind of just involve himself in this way. Um It's also a kind of a back handed smack against Maxie to had you know who had supported, you know, Priest scandal with running for agriculture Commissioner, Um, you know, remember, he tweeted from Artie comments about Wilton Simpson not having any name idea, uh, six months ago and so and that he had talked about that. Maybe he was gonna run forward, especially since it has come overview over marijuana industry and So in a way that is, this is kind of a Smackdown against matter it nonetheless, it is a bizarre way out of left field endorsement. Most of Trump's endorsements are Very known quantities, you know, And you know, like he endorsed the guy who won the group of Virginia gubernatorial nomination last night. This is the first time I can remember him endorsing somebody who really hasn't even declared that they're going to be running for Um, the office that he endorsed them for, And this wasn't an endorsement statement that took shots at Nikki freed, so it wasn't like he was going after the current agriculture commissioner just kind of came out of nowhere. All of a sudden, Trump's endorsing someone who hasn't announced they're running for agriculture commissioner. In the state of Florida on It's the oddest move that I've seen in terms of endorsements from Trump. Um, since he's gone tomorrow lock. Oh, I mean, I just don't know of something like this is bizarre. It Automatics and from politico speculating right now what the reasoning is, I'm telling you, this is not something that any of us who follow Florida politics had on our radar screen. You mentioned Mac AIDS A moment ago in again I'm talking about the publisher of Florida politics, Peter Schorsch, and there had been some talk recently about the relationship between Matt Gates. And Nikki freed, the current agriculture commissioner and somebody who is taking a really serious look at running for governor and what that could maybe mean for freed. If she were to enter the race. What's the back story there? You know people who are not familiar with Florida politics. Forget that Nikki Free. The Democrats statewide elected agriculture commissioner was before that, basically a Republican lobbyist on she specialized in The medical marijuana industry of which you know for Lack of a better term. Mac Eats is one of the founding legislative father's up. You know, the heat he put forward the legislation. I believe it was in 2016, you know to really get through. The system that we have now in Florida with what's called a vertically integrated system. Um, you know that is there where there's company like truly that cetera. Um, he He was one of the legislative architect of that She was lobbying for something like that. I believe she had one of the major Medical marijuana companies as her what they weren't in companies that but one of the medical marijuana interests, um as one of her clients, she's also very close to Cristo or work from their days at University of Florida. Both of them were student body president. They're members of the prestigious fluky Ondo. So she, you know, she was close to this group of young lawmakers and lobbyists, people that are just about the same at ages. Matt maybe a ah, hair to younger like she You know, she I think that she you know, she won't be parted with them because now partying with them. Think about it. But she was. You know, this was her crew. This really was her crew. Crystal work is like her. I don't know. Maybe one of her was one of our cop, Unofficial advisors. And Chris is very connected to Maxie very connected to Jason Carroll goal of the controversial doctor who, you know, kind of flies everyone around. So Nikki's got a lot of connections. There are a lot more than I'm not even talking about it is this kind of ticking time bomb? I don't think that she's done anything illicit or anything like that, Um But she did have a weird flex flex week when she she was asked about what you have in the case, and she was kind of and shoot. He said, rather directly like they needed the federal investigators needed to show something or move on with. I don't know any other Democrats that has that position. I don't know a lot of Republicans that have that position neither, but she flexed for him. Let me pick up the further. You're not asking this question. But I will say the Achilles heel of Nikki Three is the personal life stuff is this It's the lobbying career. It's the PRI. In office activities, and it's also you know her current domestic situation with a man who is that.

"Welcome back to the fine line. My name is Joe Wiz. In case you didn't know, Darryl after 20 weeks on the year, I do know that everybody knows American knows that. Yes, and we have a special guest in the studio. Today we got Jason Kartik, NFL correspondent for Place Sugar house. And those some of the guys out there might know of Jason from the bachelor, and Jamie wanted to welcome in here on the fine line. Thank you guys. So much for having me. This is a pleasure, guys. Thank you, Joe And Darryl. I'm excited to be here. Absolutely. We got two games on the board for today. And one of the games. That has a better just skim through like you might know him from the bachelorette. You have you know, he was a bad Yeah, he was the bachelor. I'm gonna I'm gonna send my resume my picture next gonna lose like £20. No shot. There's no shot. There's no shot. Even if you were younger that you would be on the best. Don't be fooled by my bus headed because it shave it. Naturally. It's not because I'm getting old. No shot that you need me. Called Chris Harrison to get you in 11. No, he's my boy. You know, let's go out to Arrowhead. But it Kansas City chiefs will be entertained the Cleveland Browns. The current line, which is brought to us by play sugar house dot com, has Casey favored by 10 in this game, and the total is at 57. Jason. We look at this game you Casey hasn't played a meaningful game in almost a month. Meanwhile, Cleveland's coming off one of the biggest upsets of recent history, they knocking off the Pittsburgh Steelers. Do we see the chief's possibly getting back to their Super Bowl form from last year's issue? They didn't play as good as they should have. Yeah, I agree with that. I mean, we haven't seen a double digit win from the chief since I think week eight. I think looking at the last five games. You know, those were all pretty tight games against average teams other than New Orleans, right? They played Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami, Denver, and those were tight games. I think they want to buy three points and two by six points, so I don't know if we're going to see the same chief's team while the Browns are hotter than you could possibly imagine so It'll be interesting to see which team show up. Now, just from an analytic stamp. You just so you know Jason Carroll loves playing big favorites, and I have a feeling he's gonna be playing laying the wood here. What do you got down? Well, if you do look at the numbers, it does look that way. But if you look at everybody's jumping on Cleveland, I believe because last week's win, they're not looking at the fact that Pittsburgh's not any good. Pittsburgh's not any good. I had Cleveland on the Moneyline last week. One of the few dogs you've had all year long have them on the Moneyline, not because they were the Cleveland Browns because It's Berg isn't any good. That's why I like Cleveland last week. It's a team that has to establish the running game. No question about it. Baker Mayfield is not going to be able to win a game for you. I'm not a huge fan, although he's been playing better they have to use chubby. You have to use hunt. They almost have to score every time and control the tempo to win this game. Well, J we look at it here. Hey, Casey they arrested they have, like I said, haven't played a meaningful game and almost a month in the last game against the charges, all their players rested. They didn't win. Came here and you mentioned a good point there. Casey hasn't won uncovered a game. Ah covered a game since November 1st when they played the lowly New York Jets, 35 to 9 right now, J. They are all eight against the spread in the last eight games that Darrell likes laying the wood in this game. Yeah, Darryl, that That's bull that I get. I mean, it seems I think it's easy that you're not a $500 million quarterback and Andy Reid. I totally get that. But also I mean, this is history from 2004. For whatever reason, Odds don't always make sense, especially at this point. So if you look at the vision round underdogs against the number one speak seed since 2004 there 22 11 against the spread. So you take the 22 11 against the number one seed. You take the fact that Casey is Owen a in their last eight against this, Fred, and then I agree with you. I mean, I think this is going to be a game that it will have to be dictated by Karim Hunt and Nick job And when you look at shop, I think he's I did. Some research earlier is the first player since 1972 that rush for at least 100 yards and scored 12 touchdowns against the Chiefs defense. Really hasn't been able to stop the runner, do a good job of it. And then I also you gotta correlate this rate to the over under. It's not like the over under. Is this this this number that it's just absolutely exhort like exorbitantly high that it's scaring me and I don't know. I just think that if they could control the game and keep it to a low scoring game We can see a cover and maybe an upset. I also argue this real quick. Pittsburgh. I don't think Pittsburgh as bad as everyone says there. Yes, they had a terrible last six games. But Pittsburgh lost that game. Cleveland didn't win that game. I mean, 50% of Cleveland's points were scored the first nine minutes and we'd look at this gave me the totals of 57. I think, you know, I think the totals Little Highness King Darryl Because pit Yeah. Look what Cleveland did last week to Pittsburgh, 48 37 20 came out a lot of turnovers, five takeaways against the Steelers. If the Cleveland Browns to be successful, we knows the fans. He's getting back on the sideline to your Jason brought up a good point there with the running attack with Nick Chubb and Karim Hunt. If can Cleveland does not want to get to a shootout with Casey and Casey this year is not the offensive powerhouse that were doing they were winning games this year on a defense and that's why their own eight against the spread in last day games. Well, defensively, everybody thinks of them offensively, Nobody thinks of them defensively, and they do have a solid if Jason's right, they do struggle against the run, But the secondary is pretty good. Good linebackers, linebackers kind of flying around there, So it's not just in offensive team, but they have so many weapons on offense. Forget that they don't run the ball. They used their running backs as receivers. They have the best tight end in football. Cleveland's gonna have trouble there. Tyree kill Mahomes. It is. I'll tell Jason one thing right now. Cleveland wins the game. If Cleveland outright wins again, I'll buy you the biggest steak dinner for a month that you ever had could eat what? We already discussed that playing field in Chicago, and there is a problem that I do like you didn't mention on Sugar House app Karim Hunt because they're they're gonna have to use both chub and hunt to control this game, Karim Hunt. I like the over 31 a half yards. Korean hunt, everyone, anyone yours. I know Chuck is gonna get the majority you greenhorns gonna have to be used. I like the 31 a half on the sugar house app on the over 31 half rushing yards for cream, hon. And I want to tell everyone that's listening Right now. Give me a call. I'm releasing both NFL playoff games Absolutely free and 88 wins 7000. My number is easy to remember. It's 888 When 7000 don't wanna call follow me on Instagram Go to Joe with sports. That's J O E. "It's just a free for all your checking that well, I think that's the point. I do have to Jason Carroll. What you spend Don't I still you have to, though, because she spends a lot. So I'm saying I still I think it's reasonable to assume that you can't just It's not a free for all for anything or it could put you in big trouble. I am jealous of the fact that I think Jason could say to Carol. Hey, Mexico next week, and she's like, Yep, right. That's what I'm saying. We're not happening. My my marriage. I don't think that I would be the one to say. Yep. But my husband would say absolutely not. You must not know my marriage, I say. Mexico next week, she says, Yep. And then an hour later, she goes. And then after that Jamaica you should be grateful that Carol seems to live life to the fullest. Maybe. Or maybe all the party. She has a social and be around you as much. Probably. You see, grateful, though, I have at the same time. We just want to position your wife is being but seriously. You should be grateful that you have a budget and some of the stress and worries, not their whole point was about you and you beat everyone about me. And it's gonna turn back on me. That was you were saying, like you'd be great for the wife spends all the money and is willing to do with finding any seams She really like She has parties for everything. I think she tries to get the most out of every single day. He just wants you to see that appreciate that there is that it's something to be thankful for. Not coming in being upset. Like, Oh, she spent $1000 on Bob, a book that can be Unfair to you can't just have on Relentless spending on whatever that causes it can cause. Major May look a lot of marital problems is about money and that can cause major problems and and I'm grateful for it. The problem is that I always come across as the Grinch. When, when the stuff that if you looked at the stuff that I'm trying to budget for you would say, like, my gosh, you still spent as much as you want. Let's just say yeah, and you and that was that would be my budget. You know, I'm saying and you would still be like that's way more than I would ever spend or do or anything else, right? Yeah, That's what the difference is. There has to be a compromise that has to be a middle working go both ways. You are the extreme of not being able to do anything and spend your money right? And I'm at the extreme right. It's like it's out of control in the death mountain piled up and we don't have enough. For this and savings or a draining day. You're hawking Boston Butts and everybody. Yeah, you're saying And I know Kelly feels bad. She I think she feels bad that she's the grant sometimes because If she weren't there, there would be no to say no to doing anyone below And whenever there would be no budget, there'd be no money for anything. So it's like you gotta find that balance. The interdependence, by the way, is what Manchester Matt was saying. But it also is a little bit deeper than that. Where it is in the marriage. There is you. There is me and there is us. It's that you don't lose who you are as an individual. You don't sacrifice your marriage to remain who you are, and vice versa. That Zoe's a lot of people get married, and then they're like, Well, I used to blah, blah, blah. And I used to enjoy doing blah, blah, blah. And But now I don't. Yeah, like dating and now, okay, more like fishing. Yeah, hobbies and stuff It gets it gets harder with the more responsibility you have. So that would I think. Good tip if you weaken.
