"And there is some there are some happened in that perspective like the valuation of that thing was way off and we picked it up in five minutes and we weren't even looking it was it was just. The numbers were just wrong and they valued at incorrectly. And you didn't know any better but anybody that was you ever had. We even even slightly anybody that was even slightly experienced at looking at prospectuses. Our financial reports have picked it up so however but go ahead go ahead whatever. It actually ended up working out okay. So so doing the million and You know fast forward four years or so and and we're projected to do about four point four this year. I do have a partner. So i'm not doing that myself. Overhead about fifty percent. And then we're gonna talk to green man. Yeah it's a little talking about overheads pretty good so yeah. Things are good. So tell us about your systematization. And i'm gonna. I'm gonna spend this a little bit. Because the reason that you're able to grow so rapidly because you have a very specialized skill set you and your partner. Both are extremely surgical doctors and i loved. I loved. I don't know if you guys pick this up but when when matt slipped goes up your during his transformation contest I was at. I was actually at that jason campbell surgical event when he was there. That's when i actually met we are in prescott at a surgical event right down the street and our other mass remember dr jason campbell was giving the surgical event and matt was like super excited. I'm going to use this skill up my practice. i'm gonna grow. And and he went away. He and i stayed in touch. He was interested in some of the stuff that we're doing. And i remember him calling me like i just don't like the surgery stuff just came to this realization that i don't love the surgery but you on the other hand are somebody but but matt still been able to skill his practice exponentially without it. Now you you on the other hand went down the road and that is all you want to do. Now you in brisky are extremely good at it. You have very predictable results and it is very profitable practice for you and i will say for anybody. That's trying to get into the next game and the surgical game even the invisible line game. There's a tipping point at which until you get over this hump that's going to significantly increase your overhead and then you're gonna hit a volume that that threshold and a tipping point and then eventually that overhead is going to start to go down. But until you get to that tipping point until you get over that hump. You're gonna see your overhead. Go up significantly with lab fees. You have to do enough of these things and you have to get proficient enough at it and you have to become very systemized at it or else you'll never get over that so that's a long lead up to me asking you as an all out experts in an advanced surgical clinic now. What systems have you put in place so that you guys are super-efficient at this and you're able to be actually profitable when when there could be a significant abbvie. Yeah and very important. Disclaimer to put on it We did burn a lot of capital. Doing this. And there with moments where i was like. I don't know if the juice worth the squeeze and then we finally get over the hump black mark said and and yet it's totally worth it. So systems lies. This has to be assistant driven like we want. Go into the room. We want to place the implants. We wanna get efficient at it. You know we got the surgeries down to you. Know an hour hour and a half. I just placing implants. And then your typical full arch if it takes you an hour and a half and what how like. What does that look like are you doing. You know ridge reduction. Are you doing implant placement. You're doing extractions. If it the whole shebang is taking you an hour and a half. Yeah unless we hit a curve ball. You know hour and a half. Pick up the the scalpel all the way to finish the suture. And how long did that take you in the beginning. When you're just yeah my first case. It was five hours. You know five hours. I felt very bad for that patient. Having to go through that for that long. But here's the thing. Give them a discount. Do your first five cases for free whatever the case may be because it's worth it and then the patient gets something out of it you get your reps and you will get more proficient in. You'll get fast. Read it to. And then what i did. I went on my off days. I sat down with the assistance. And i said here's how you adjust the inclusion. Here's how you deliver the prosthetic. Here's how you scan. And then i would sit in the assistant chair and i would make them do it and then tell the patient. Hey this is so. Snyder first rodeo. I'm just here. Training is one of our training days. You know will give you a nice little olive garden gift certificate or something like that. Just because gonna take an extra hour for your appointment. And i got my systems really really well trained. I mean i literally place the implants. I leave the room. I go drink coffee. They print the teeth. They deliver the prosthetic they just inclusion. I pop in. Take the credit. And i go record a testimonial i do say so doctor. Doom doctor brisky flew out to our prescott valley office and all of our doctor. There we lined up six arches and we knocked him out place..

"From vacation ready to hit the road covering training camp. The top headline today in the nfl in your opinion is what will happen with aaron rodgers. It's going to continue to be the top headline. He's due to report to packers camp tomorrow. All veteran players are I don't assume he's going to report to camp but who knows he could make it like brett farve in two thousand eight when farve said i'm going to push their and i'm gonna i'm going to put pressure on i'm gonna report and make it hot on them So you just don't know there's a news blackout from all sides on. It is very hard to get anybody to talk about it over the weekend even on deep background. So we'll see what happens. Yeah i was going to bring that up that you're trying to get information and it's difficult to get any information because it feels like aaron rodgers is the person with all the information and nobody else has take on an or willing to say something that might incite something here. I think it's aaron rogers. And his agent david dodd. Who coincidentally Was the agent for the last star quarterback who really fought his way out of a place and that was carson palmer You know a decade and a half ago when he said. I'm not playing for the bengals anymore. I'll retire and look carson palmer was not gonna play for the bengals anymore but but you know. He got fortunate at the trading deadline that year. Because the raiders. Remember that year. Jason campbell was the raiders quarterback. He got hurt. The raiders desperately needed a quarterback. Al davis said will do whatever it takes to get carson palmer. It's a little bit different in this particular case. Because if you wanna get aaron rodgers you know that it's going to take about two or three times as much as it did to get carson palmer back in the day and i just don't think as of this moment as we sit here on july twenty sixth that the packers still are even entertaining the thought of trading. But if they do is i wrote this morning. They must get twenty twenty one value in return. Which is why i proposed. Multiple first round draft picks in something like drew. Lock and jerry judy From denver for aaron rodgers most people would say well. That's not enough while you're not exactly in the best position to trade right now. If you got a question for rogers had that opportunity will would you ask him. What are you gonna do. I mean because look dan you know the funny thing about all this is. Aaron went on a with kenny. Mayne what was it now. A couple of months ago i guess and he said i love the fans. I love the team. I love the coaches. I love jordan love. I love the history. I love everything about green bay. Left unsaid was that he doesn't love. Brian goudie and i guess he doesn't love mark murphy. The team president. So honestly my my olive branch in this situation is basically rogers agreeing to play one more year with them. And then the packers agreed to trade him to one of four teams in the afc. After the that rogers could designate after this season. And then Let's let's all move onto the next crisis of the day..

"I think there is. If there is one organization that could take him there. I do think it's the Steelers. Um okay. Right. Unfortunate. We can't do it. But, you know, we wish him all the well and it's big Ben can take him there and, you know, give him the lesson. He needs to learn a all all all the power tune. But, you know, I hope we hope change young still see him. And put in the dirt. As long as you can. All right. Well, thank you. Wonderful calling up from Annapolis. Mm. Dwayne Haskins. Is that where Steelers want to put their hopes? And is he, the guy that Steelers fans look at and say? I hope it works out. What else would you have hoping right now? You don't Where the hell do you where if you have the Pittsburgh Steelers? Where the hell do you get a quarterback from? You can't get one this season. You're drafting 24th. What do you hope for? Jones out Alabama you you hope for him is what is that like consolation prize? You think about some of the players that they've drafted over the years over the past 10 years? The steel is drafting quarterbacks We all know Mason route off is not the answer. It's a damn shame what he's probably most famous for right now is taking Ah, helmet over the head via Miles, Gary That sucks. No quarterback wants to be known by getting abused by defensive lineman let alone for play that has nothing to do with actual football play. Josh Dobbs, a Landry Jones I feel like I've seen more of these guys back in college like Tennessee and Oklahoma. Then I've seen of them professionally. I'm not sitting back, checking out a stealer preseason games, the fourth preseason game pretty much checked out already. I'm waiting on the real football. I'm waiting on the regular season. Ben Roethlisberger has been the man that has been behind center the entire time him. Nobody else. But you know what? Nothing lasts forever. And when you have that superstar quarterback leave It's not so easy replacing him. The West that of Bill Belichick guy. He's looking for a quarterback again, another off season. It's not gonna be Cam Newton. The Indianapolis Colts looking for that quarterback. These are two organizations that have trotted out a Tom Brady who have trotted out and Andrew luck. And before that, a Peyton Manning forever for the last 20 years. Ben Rob Lowe's Berg. He's basically been around Justus long getting coming out in 2000 and four It's time to move on. The Steelers. They're just, unfortunately, probably stuck. It may have to hit the skids next year. In order to improve a position to eventually get a quarterback. Not everybody could hit the quarterback jackpot like the Jacksonville Jaguars it they got an easy choice. The choice is pretty much been made for them with Trevor Laurence. Steel has got to figure out what they want to do. We got a lot of callers on the line. We'll take a break. Come back with your calls. You know the number here on CBS Sports Radio 855 to 1 to four. CBS does 855 to 1 to four. CBS will also have a conversation with someone who played for 10 years. In the NFL. He knows about ups. He knows about downs. He also knows about that. Washington football team. His name is Jason Campbell Moore Jr Sport pre show here with you on CBS Sports radio When we Come back. Saving money can seem daunting. So most of the time.

"Guest. They was crystal power. Not Kristin. Like you've heard me say earlier and you probably reading lower thirds and going. Why's the host calling the guest by the wrong name? You're welcome. That's called. I fell on my head a lot when I was the Marine Corps in sports. That's what we'll blame. But so let's just wanted to cover that real fast. If you're reading the lower thirds, and you're confused, that's what we're doing. So we've been talking with our guests. Crystal crystal. I apologize crystal here we've been talking about, you know, mindset, and you have an amazing podcast. So tell the folks about your podcast. Obviously, before we go, I don't need to tell people your own. Probably every podcast platform that exist Spotify Apple, All those two big ones that I tell people to go to Spotify is absolutely killing it. It's actually my favorite because you don't have to download anything. So it saves room on your phone. So just tip of the day. So obviously your podcast is there But tell folks a little bit about your podcast what it does, And I like that stuff for sure. You know, I started my podcast earlier this year, and it has been tons of fine. I've met some incredible people through it. They had some really great gas. Kellie meeting Morris from the field documentary was on there. Charlie Cassio, my greens. I just said Jason Campbell for my Valley, so just a lot of really fun, Interesting people on and then I do some of my own small assuring my insights. But really, my goal is again like you did before. You really want people to realize that they don't have to sacrifice their wellbeing to attain success. So it's kind of a mix of talking about ways to nourish yourself. Nurse your mind sometimes, like some holistic things, health related things, but then also talking to people who are extremely successful. How did they attain their success? Howard, How do they maintain their house? How are you doing it in a way that is actually uplifting for them so that something I really excited about sharing and share my own insights as well as integrated medicine fellow and my experiences in time, practising as a a lot of different fields. That's awesome. So And we have a little bit more time here. I want to talk about so recently, You released an eight week online course to reading this directly just inviting something like really good at memorizing things. I'm not eight week online course to optimize wellbeing and performance, and I know you and I talked out of line. I told you how much I love Meditation have shared it on constant shows I share with all of our guests. I think it's one of the most incredible things that people usually Either get yea, that's awesome. Or people like while a marine that does meditation and yoga, and I'm like your duty darn right. It set my mind right. So tell us a little bit about your eight week course and where folks confined on information to sign up and be part of it, because I think that's also key. Because part of making changes taking the step to make these changes and get your mindset, right. You could. You could be in the dumps about 2020 and be like, Oh, You can have your pity party but you need if you're still having a pretty party time to stop, take this eight week course in eight weeks. If my math is right, that puts us near the middle of the holidays, and then you'll be happy again because naturally You know, Christmas should make everybody happy. You know, they course and he actually picked eight weeks for a reason. So there's some good research that shows that after eight week mindfulness programs and be a star programmes, there were positive changes in the brain. So I pulled that thinking, Okay, I want to incorporate all my knowledge, everything that I've learned working with professionals working an integrated psychiatry and also really master and a great medicine fellow, an entrepreneur kind of tacky shit. For something digestible for people when they had a really potential for transformation. So I did a video for each day and their short videos because I think most people are busy and I wanted to be digestible. So it's about a 3 to 7 minute video and you watch in the morning And so there are 56 of those with the gold after eight weeks, really having true transformation? In your well being and really moving towards your dreams, So.

"Roethlisberger recruited to play tight end in Ohio State. Johnny Manziel defensive back in Texas RG three defensive back at Texas. I was also looking at this the number one overall pics of all the schools in N Ba history, said the N B a draft. The inception was 1947. You have about 1500 players have been drafted in the first round about 90% of those players came from a division one school. The top 20 schools and how they stack up. Now Duke has had who's had the most number one overall picks, McLovin. Duke according to this list, Okay, so well, No, This is first round picks. The underneath that is number one overalls to. Ah, O. Okay, so there's four Players from Dooku Gone number one overall, Kyrie Zion. Danny Ferry. Go number one overall. Now he went to to the Clippers. Yeah, okay. Am I missing an obvious one here. Did you say Elton brand? I do not owe outgoing brand. So I got that one. And the other one. Um, I got to get the other one. The other one's an old timey guy. The old well so my no, no, no. Like, oh, like I don't even know you. You probably never saw this guy playing J. Billa's Mark Gallery now Art Haman, who I saw was out of the MBA by 1965 hard he might bust by the way. Philip Rivers averages 2.7 yards rushing per game in his career. That's not attempts he averages. Almost three yards rushing. Forget he had 50 days today off by the way, the last time Philip Rivers scored a rushing touchdown. 2011 Meanwhile, Brady would always get those touchdown. Quarterback sneaks It always get those, by the way. Can we stop pretending the Cam Newton is not gonna be the starting quarterback in New England, right? Like where? Like this big mystery. I don't know stadiums injured. I don't think Hoyer is going to be starting quarterback. If he is, then that's not good news for the Patriots. It's an open competition. Thank you. Of course it is. Thank you. Ah, we're not going to name a starter ain't always got his bell. Check shirt on here. We're on it. We're on the 2021. But I can't imagine Cam not being starting quarterback like why you bring him in. If you're not going to have me as your starting quarterback, Yes, Piccolo, I saw Julian Edelman put out an instagram post with him his Batman and campus Superman. What about poor Jared's of what happened in that? Jared sit him storyline We got on Twitter that day Cam signed all the reporter said this's stadiums job to lose. You've been all over it. I just like I said, Luca dies is wasn't good. I've been duped is not my fault. I blame Tom Curren. By the way of the comparisons Jason Campbell at Auburn 45 touchdown passes in four years. Philip Rivers had 95 touchdowns at N. C. State in the NFL. Jason Campbell, nine years in the NFL, 87 touchdown passes Philip Rivers. 16 season 397. Touchdown passes. So the most first round picks Kentucky is number one. 52. North Carolina is second, then Duke, Kansas, Michigan, Indiana, Louisville, Syracuse and Ohio State. No. Since the end of a draft started in 1947, But thank you for getting that information for me. McLovin, Kyle in California. Kyle, what's on your mind? Morning, boys. Um, on that Marcus Morris play last night. I don't know if it was intentional. It didn't look unintentional. I'll say that Of a. Besides that DP I was wondering if you could find Greg Logan and his defensive player of the year vote. Voted for Andre German first Hassan Whiteside's second and Johannes stirred No, Eddie,.

"Is literally that a part and It's important for the whole. And it brings. Diversity. In communication diversity in practice diversity in anything and everything. I'm trying to. Do you understand what I'm trying to say rich you get what I'm saying. So so the thing about the Kelly initiative, which I like is that they're challenging, CFDA? Yeah, they're saying. They're do talking about numbers. They want them to do an industry-wide senses. So they can get demographic information. Which? Is Data your. Data is good right right and have companies that that whole employment thing they what numbers for that And then they don't want the FDA to audit themselves now. No, no right. It's a port authorities. The Fox guarding the Hen House so So but I like I like what they have to say. So and that crew is created to the to the creators of that crew they have a podcast. And I want to check them out because they look really heavy. What's the name of the podcast? Oh. I can't remember. It's the creators I think. Okay. I'm trying to find. Yeah. So it's by two of the three founders. Jason Campbell in Henrietta Galina so I like I like what they're saying. So we need metrics, we need metrics. Metrics. Well. That's good because they need to the front of the 'cause. Act Own businesses constitute essentially less than two percent. Of total retail sales. Here in America to percents. Yeah. Like one point three percent. Essentially. Off the top of my head versus. Over eighty five percent. For White. Owned businesses. But Yeah we comprised fifteen percent of the population. So there's a disparity. Yeah. So. The Holders of the power in the institution. They have to have to make a change if they really WANNA fortify. Would they put on an ad right? They got they gotta put action behind their words. It calls to mind another article I said to you. That's titled and I just Love This woke washing your company won't cut it. That I think we'll be for our next episode. Because I wanna I just WanNa see I wanNA. Give that proper. Space for you to to discourse. Want. Okay. So but I love that I've never heard that saying and I read it. I was like, Oh, my gosh, that's it. Because I've called it lip service you know call you call what you want I mean the. Done the interviews I've done while you've been gone we've talked about it. Because it's heads its head scratching stuff. To have a black square on instagram. I understand the symbolism I understand is I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it. But is this is this ephemeral? An Making, Oh, you making a profit. Off. The. Symbolism. That's it. That's that's that's really that's that's the issue. So. Let's talk about the Black Fashion Council. And their their new essentially right so they're like, hey. We got something to say to. We got beef. So. But what I like what they? WanNa do they WANNA operate as umbrella organization. For any. Initiative that's coming down the pike. Again numbers they want. Oversight. Maybe. Accountability Right. They want to actually have a score car for brands. On say how you doing? I got an idea here through its first endeavor. The organization is asking fashion companies to pledge to work with the Group for at least the next three years. To help build a quality.

"I'll go molly crew on that. One Molly crew is Even though we just spent a few minutes talking about you know albums we like and dislike of theirs. But they're really when I was coming up I would say them in. Like rat and Into this day I still listen to rap but I find it harder and harder to listen to Motley crue. Is You know the years go on. I don't really venture back much into their catalog. I guess but they really pretty much set me on my path of I. Guess where I'm at right on a Hell Start. I guess for me. I'd probably have to say my dad's albums his Sabbath Zeppelin and he had some doors albums and even some beach boys and stuff and he had a pretty good mix a good hard rock metal and then and then it was me discovering. Kiss off my aunts and uncles and then it was kissed his really. What led all the other bands that I like. Yeah and I guess I mean I could get credit to my dad for Beatles and stones and stuff of that kind of came later on for me so I was an MTV kit for sure so like kids in my neighborhood have cable and in the early eighties when MTV was getting start so mtv kind of introduced me to hard rock star with so I would have to say twisted sister You know the is was I WANNA rock. We're not GONNA take it. Those videos were a big deal to me and also even before that I guess I'd have say the door opener was kind of quiet riot. Come on feel the noise. The video for that used to get played a hell a lot and that was right when I first got. Mtv and I remember really falling in love with that song and the sound of like anthem rock music. So it's funny. I'm not really a big fan of either banned over all but I gotta give quiet riot. Was his sister a lot of credit for getting me in into that genre. So you're saying used to watch footloose a lot by so I do to this day. I have the flu soundtrack. On I'M NOT GONNA lie due to time yeah. I was in the even before quiet riot to assist. I was in a Michael Jackson and a lot of the pop stuff too. Yeah me too man was the shit right. Yeah right on. Brian Lee. Hecht wants to know three songs. That kiss never plays live but you wish they would. I don't know I don't have an answer for that current kiss but like all time I've sure would love to see him. Do rocket ride bigger. That'd be my number one And I don't think they have. They ever played rocky. Ride live off. There's no aces solo but never the ban Sure know something they ever do that. Live like other than unplugged now see. I'm on board with that because I am at Unmask Fan. So that's is it. You're right it is. Yeah THE LOSE. Kiss cred right there. You have to say ten Hail Gene Simmons before you do that before I go to bed. Let me see I would say they? They don't they don't do domino do they. They used to do they do that now. On all never I know and I have no love for domino. What about the songs off killers. I'd like to see them. Yeah I if I had to pick mine out. Nowhere to run would be won. A million to one would be one charisma that would be pretty awesome to see live in a time machine. "Facing right now And so we're going to welcome in Hugh Jackson. Former raiders coach former browns coach. You good to have you on glad to be on glad to have you talked to you all right so so let's start here. You look at the what's what's facing. Nfl coaches right now. And you think back to your experience in one of the reasons I wanted to have you on is because in two thousand eleven. He's the head coach of the raiders. The first time head coach. You've been the interim coach the year before so you had a little bit of runway there but yeah you basically had the whole the whole off taken away from you and you know I just. I thought like what everybody was facing. Eleven's probably the most applicable thing that to to what coaches are facing now. And so I guess I'd start here with you. Hugh is you brought in a new defensive coordinator that year and Chuck Bresnahan you brought in a new offensive coordinator. Now Saunders and obviously you'd had background with these guys but the players add and I guess sort of what do you remember about the beginning of that and I'm sure you know your whole career. You've got a plan. This is what it's GonNa look like when I become a head coach and now a sudden you know everything sort of flipped upside down and you have to adjust why you said to me. It was difficult you go from being the coordinator to the coach. And then you hiring a new staff but the good part was the players knew me and knew exactly possibly what the practice schedule would look so. There was some familiarity there that way But you know we had new coaches coaches on defense new players that you couldn't talk to that you couldn't do anything with at the time so that made it very difficult that they that's different about this situation than Ben is the players at least could work out could work out and do things and maybe get it together and do things with the anticipation at the CB would be You know agreed upon so they can come in. This isn't entirely deal me. You're talking about life and death. You know we're players can't get together And so I see. This situation is being totally difficult and extremely hard in especially Coaches okay so for you like if I'm Joe Judge in New York I'm Matt Rule and Carolina or I'm Kevin Stefanski and Cleveland. Whoever it is one of the new guys Mike McCarthy in in Would probably have a good idea because he went through it the same way you did when you know going into. Dallas but if one of the new coaches picked up the phone gave you call and said what's really important like right. Now what do I need to kind of? Keep the top of my list. What would you tell the first thing I would say because you're GONNA have a group of players who will be excited about Trying TO GET BACK. And then you're GONNA have a group of players that are not excited because of your upbringing. So you're going to have to answer the question versus almost the second thing to be very important to me is how am I gonNa get the right information to my chain during this particular time. So that when we do get a chance to be back together we'll get hit the ground The next most important thing is. How am I gonNA give quarterback up to speed and make sure that he is you know getting better in what are offenses? Because that's going to be very very important. And what does that look like? So what is the virtual training of my team in specific real specific position groups How does that look right now? That's GonNa be very very okay so you like obviously went through like that offseason. Maybe there was a little bit of Jason Campbell on the roster right and so he'd been he'd been entrenched but like there's still some question of what. The raiders are going to do the quarterback position. I know halfway through that year. You guys wind up trading for Carson Palmer. What was important with you Jason? That off was there stuff that you may be tried to do ahead of time. Like before the lockout to make sure that he had X Y. Z. He had what he needed before. Any of that went down. Absolutely the best. We could thing that was different as remember. You could have any communication right with so that was really different. I mean that's what I said. These situations are so they staying Monday. They are different but I didn't get a chance. You could talk to the player now. Jason Four was like before the lockout you. Could you know before the lockdown? No Sir did you make an effort to try to get him some stuff before. Yeah you try to make sure that the playbook whatever additions that you're adding to the play book you make sure that he has those whatever verbiage that you're changing you try to sure he has all of that Those things and what the statistics were you know? What does the data show us that we could do better so he had all that information? So how does this sort of on the players to because I know the one I do remember that off season? Was that the a lot of players sort of took the bull by the horns and decided okay and I you know you remember the the they would go to whatever college or high school and and get a bunch of guys together and work together like how much of this is sort of. I guess you know it's funny. I talked to a couple of coaches about this. I talked to Sean McDermott about this over the weekend. And he said like you sort of have to trust in the sort of player that you're bringing into the building because it's going to be a real character check in a certain way like who is who are the teams that are finding a way to to to to to get through this and continue to improve like how much of this do you think is sort of how teams out of this ride is going to be dependent on the sort of people that they have in their building absolutely offered. I think that's a very great point But I would also go back to the point of me. A little bit earlier is that you're going to have a group of players at want to do that. You've ever players. Don't want you to you know. And so until that safety question is dealt with you. Know is another player. Don't them feel comfortable getting together as a group in saying less workout together? You heard certain dyes have tried to do that. You know we take it back to deck Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott. They had a party. You know all we know a bit about football but everybody got ridiculed you know so there's GonNa be some guys who afraid odd put themselves out there that weigh in guys that do they need to be safe because what if something happens so you gotta handle it the right way. I just think this a catch twenty two for everybody right now but you said it best. Whoever handles this transition period till the team can get back is going to be the teams? They hit the ground running. What do you remember the first few days of training camp that year that maybe was different than anything he'd ever been a part of and of course another new guys note of Guinea off season program know been around quite a bit? Now you're trying to make sure you get to know these guys and get them acclimated to the arrested a team and the environment and the coaches and all those things. Sometimes that can be overwhelming. You know a four player. It could be a woman for coach but at the same time it has to be. You guys have to adjust a lot and camp early on like like Wizar- because again nobody had been through that before at the time. Like where your off season programs gone like. What do you remember about like the early? Maybe the first week or two camp that was were you out outside of introducing yourself to all these guys like. Maybe you had to adjust a little bit on the flies sort of learned as you went out it was the most difficult transition for me ever and I said for this reason. Amy Trask noses. I not only had to get a team together but it was also getting the players who wasn't on a team on the tape so I had to deal with contractual. Yes so that took on a whole different environment for me because things were up against it you know here. We are traded camp. We got twelve guys. Who ARE NOT HERE. That should be here but they negotiate their contracts and how that was done all work so I had a die will ridge. That and I had never gotten that so that was even more difficult. But it's hard because you're trying to you gotta just as you just said a second ago you might have to change your practice schedule. You have to change your meeting schedule just to accommodate everybody and to make sure that these understanding the routine. We're trying to get and to put ourselves in position. Above what did you notice that like because this'll be applicable to this year right so these guys are going to lose all the on field work. What did you notice that was behind? You know like when you got when you when you got there and like you know the guys show some guy in better shape than others all that but like when from a football standpoint like did you notice certain things where behind where they normally would be where you guys would have to play catch-up up absolutely the execution you know Chris Execution. That coach looks for offense. Defense and special teams was lacking in. So you have to find a way to circumvent that to speed it up you know. Is that more meeting time. Is that a little bit more practice. Time whatever that is you gotta figure it out because at the end of day they say is time. Play the game. You gotta be able to play the game in a high level. How'd you guys pull it off? Like was there something creative. You guys did that to try and make it work. Yes I know. One of the biggest thing we did we incorporated and I tried to sell it to our teams because we were opening a Monday night against the Denver broncos but they don't understand what I was trying to do is speed everything up for us so that we get ourselves a chance and I build it as that because only year for players to accept it you know and so we worked through it and worked it out and we were able to go win at first game. Which was huge. Did you have to scale back things too like like I? You hear a lot about that about how you know like normally. I'm sure you know going into that situation as a first time head coach of all these different ideas of all the things that you were going to do when you became a head coach right. Did you find yourself having to like scaled-back anything because you know you would think like all right like I? I want to give them a lot to work with but I also want them to master. Whatever they're doing right like did you find yourself like sort of all right. We're going to have to throw out a few things because we don't have the time to get to all of it absolutely does back to. What can we execute fast enough at a high enough level to give us a chance? excess so you can't do it all. I mean as a coach you gotta be very very strategic as to what it is that you want your team to have. That's going to give you a chance to start. You know in a in a way. No team wants to start the year. Lose it so you can't go and do everything you would have done in an off season into training camp leading up to a season because some of these thing you didn't have so like instead you have to adjust and make sure you make those adjustments and give you chance to have success so like can. Is there a way you can quantify that like is there a way you can quantify whether it's percentage of the playbook that was just didn't exist that year or number of the numbers of things that were cow like? Is there a way to like actually quantify how much you guys scaled that? No it is about twenty five percent of the you know you had to pull back in if you have a younger quarterback. I was fortunate that veteran under me call place for so he kinda knew I was not new was but I had a new quarterback I would. It would have been terrible because then I don't know what he really does know until I put him. -sition do it enough. So that makes it real difficult. Do think like all right. So let's say you're the chargers with Justin. Herbert you're the dolphins with a ton of your the bengals with Joe Borough right now. Do you feel like you'd be going into this thinking to yourself man. Probably that this could be a redshirt year. You ought depends on who else is flying around them. You know let me. What kind of team am I putting around this particular young glare? And if he's ready somebody's as might be right. They can handle that. Some guys can't handle it you know and you just got to figure that out and the only way you figured out. Gig A new Been on a practice ill with them and really being around of spending that time. Okay so this is visible is really interesting to me about that. One right like so D- feel like you almost have to name your starter quicker to you. Know because like it's like every minute if every and the my logic every minute counts right like so whatever you have from the end digital and let's just say Camp Stars on time and that's not a certainty cam starts on time. Season starts on time like so. You have whatever six weeks there and every minute counts. Because you've lost so much already like do you think it's important that like hey if we're gonNA start the rookie if we're going to start the and. I think the bengals did this that year with Andy Dalton right Andy obviously really well but it was like you know you have to sort of.

Thanks, Paul, obviously anytime you can win a game against any SCC opponent. It's a big win. What does that homeowner road? But I'm awfully proud of. How our guys played some more consistent basketball than we played in the longtime on both ends of the floor. And it carried over into us having one of our better performances. Yeah. Not to go backwards. But I want I want to go back to Knoxville the other day because you may have seen that one coming people. Didn't we're talking about the now number one team in. Entry you your team certainly had a chance to win that game. I mean, you already knew you you could play. I mean, you beat Kentucky you you've dealt with a lot of good teams. But what did you leave Knoxville with in terms of maybe building and gaining some confidence. So you can go up against anyone in this country. Well, we left with the idea that older small minor details are significantly important with veteran team when experienced team last year would afford youngest team in the country. But now we're wanted to more experienced team we have debt across the board. So right now.
