"Brought to you by audible. Myanmar's military accused of massacring and burning 11 villagers by grant peck, Associated Press, Bangkok. Outrage spread on social media in Myanmar on Wednesday over images and accounts of the alleged killing and burning of 11 villagers captured by government troops in the country's northwest. Photos and a video of charred corpses and Don tau village and Sagaing Region circulated widely Tuesday. They were said to have been taken shortly after the men were killed, and their bodies set on fire. The material could not be independently verified, an account given to The Associated Press by a person who said he went to the scene generally matched descriptions of the incident carried by independent Myanmar media. The government has not commented on the allegations if confirmed they would be the latest atrocity in the increasingly bitter struggle following the military's seizure of power in February and ouster of the elected government of Aung San Suu Kyi. The takeover was initially met with nonviolent street protests, but after police and soldiers used lethal force against demonstrators, violence escalated as opponents of military rule took up arms in self defense. The witness who spoke to the AP said about 50 troops marched into Don tau village at about 11 a.m. Tuesday, seizing anyone who did not manage to flee. They arrested 11 innocent villagers, said the witness, who described himself as a farmer and an activist and asked to remain anonymous for his own safety. He added that the captured men were not members of the locally organized people's defense force, which sometimes engages the army in combat. He said the captives had their hands tied behind them, and were set on fire. He did not give a reason for the soldiers assault, accounts in Myanmar media, said they appeared to have acted in retaliation for an attack earlier that morning by people's defense force members. Other witnesses cited in Myanmar media said the victims were members of a defense force, though the witness who spoke to the AP described them as members of a less formally organized village protection group. There are resistance activities in the cities and the countryside. But the fighting is deadliest in rural areas where the army can unleash greater force against its targets. In recent months, the struggle has been sharpest in saga Ying and other areas of the northwest. UN spokesman Stephan dejarik expressed deep concern at the reports of the horrific killing of 11 people, and strongly condemned such violence, saying credible reports indicate that 5 children were among those people killed. The jaric reminded me and Mars military authorities of their obligations under international law to ensure the safety and protection of civilians and called for those responsible for this heinous act to be held accountable. He reiterated the UN's condemnation of violence by Myanmar's security forces and stressed that this demands a unified international response. As of December 8th, he said, security forces have killed more than 1300 unarmed individuals, including more than 75 children through their use of lethal force or while in their custody since the military takeover on February 1st. The alleged killing and don't tell was sharply decried by Myanmar's underground national unity government, which has established itself as the country's alternative administrative body and place of the military installed government. On the 7th of December and saga Ying region, sickening scenes reminiscent of the Islamic State terrorist group bore witness to the military's escalation of their acts of terror, the organization's spokesperson, doctor sasse, said in a statement. The sheer brutality, savagery, and cruelty of these acts shows a new depth of depravity, and proves that, despite the pretense of the relative detente, seen over the last few months, the junta never had any intention of deescalating their campaign of violence, said salsa, who uses one name. The allegations follow Monday's conviction of Suu Kyi on charges of incitement and violating coronavirus restrictions and sentencing to four years in prison, which was quickly cut in half. The court's action was widely criticized as a further effort by the country's military rulers to roll back the democratic gains of recent years. In New York, the UN Security Council on Wednesday expressed deep concern at the sentencing of Suu Kyi ousted president win meant and others and reiterated previous calls for the release of all those arbitrarily detained since the February 1st military takeover. The members of the Security Council once again stressed their continued support for the democratic transition in Myanmar. And underlined the need to uphold democratic institutions and processes, refrain from violence, pursue constructive dialog and reconciliation in accordance with the will and interests of the people of Myanmar, fully respect human rights and fundamental freedoms and uphold the rule of law, a council statement said..

She's creeping the cajun. She's pouch innovations not happy with this. But that's the crux of the episode. Now the bad batch off on the mission at a megan left behind or not said compare the team scored and seed stage sets it up by saying look. You know strengths. You've got enough basic as you got to offer them. Which is why you hear about where the episode goes in her for her. She then so so so forth there In terms of showing so before we onto amiga in terms of the racks stuff in and the action. What did you think about that. I thought it was fine. It was rushed because it was a twenty four episode but it was station. Yeah i i'll be honest. It did feel a little bit like blink. Can you miss earth like you know. Let's go down to the planet herr the codes with through. Let's deposits. Oh yeah there is a riot before you know it you'll A like a light. That the the bad batch astill literally within the space of everything. You've just described there so taken everyone down at the same yes yes and just to soy oil. Because i did think this while watching a like that. They're still stunning. That brothers owned then shooting to kill whereas the clones rags they are actually shooting to kill yet. So i think that's that's quite interesting that tells you the the cleanse off truly kind of robots. Now that just goes droids. Now the bad batch lee still do have like a a a moral compass in so a lot But yeah it did happen very quick. Didn't that that will. Yeah we've got the now so into the att thick prequel boy walker. Annette's let's to slowly run away for those. Yeah there's a try nevada. Itt giving us the question. As is with this of worked better as an arc and if so if the end of the was just same delivering the senate to sate without being a a decent one optimal we use of the episodes left all. Because i've only got off to the episode eleven to sixteen. So did i wanna use an episode or two on elongate in this battle. Probably not now. But you're right yuletide iran. Maybe if this was clone was because with on. i suppose that's the thing with l. More of a linear story because about his taken the approach the site rebels a took. Its oldest one chronological story and so if this would be let's say three episodes you know what is a meager doing for those episodes and i saw that it's it's difficult one so i get i get it i get it off. I think i enjoyed mostly declined more stuff about this upside. I think if you were to take that why or let's say if you're not actually that bothered about the climate and you just watch the bachelor the psych that you could easily and i don using this but you can easily look at us is quote unquote fella. Aw quest he said it would now. I don't think it's you don. I'm trying to say that. I could see how people could say. Is that because you know from something point if you suddenly from the animations a perspective. This isn't villa. Every episode has to have a papa sin as you've said that the purpose is clearly the amiga he's a good strategy that she actually is very very useful. She's an asset to the team. That has a moment. Why the bachelor like hunters lot. Let's do this dismiss anteks. Wo- that includes your shooting the amiga's she's not here yet. Yeah wink to the audience. We get amigas important to the team that so that's where it comes down to how you're telling the story i suppose. Yeah but what. I'm what do you think. Do you think about slight g. You get vibes from this episode. You Look for reaction from our own from anyone online. I've done this rica. i don't know what people are saying. But i would be happy to put sports betting that a lot of people are saying well this inconsequential but we win. Flown is involved. Nothing ever filler. Ooh everything. I've looked at some point this will. This story will come back again and of course omega being a master strategist will play into the bypass going forward completely. So that was where the episode i ultimately needed needed that at the end of wetland way around to get there but we go to fund saw admission move back doing what the bad batch do based infiltrating extraction blowing things up stunning stunning folks after center. And then we'll say the review of acri incredibly gifted intellectually. So you could look at if you really want to be cynical and even even. I just wasn't at the top of my list for episodes for the season i shouldn't say is filler. Because the other block mentioned with fellow news was a purpose for for something. So within the happen. Happened for a reason but Yeah i thought so. It was a battle scenes. Refining why i got out in the united they blauser hole through the wall within the next thing that ship to eat a neat. I don't need to see them going from the from the side streets to shape. They got there. They they evaded the emperor but yeah that that was fine but it was. Ceo want to jaric paid off. the bat. night is day. So that's that's the big thing as well. Yeah that's true. I just said she's a the brains of the galaxy. She's paid hunters. He has here and told us cable profile. He's still adapting to being coming out of soldier mode with her sometimes and being empathetic but paid off the debt man so they free of seats Needs so would i stick around and he realizes that i think he realizes hang on maybe a bit too because even recor cutting looks back and goes on my yeah. He'd been a bit harsh man. Nate's like comment a little bit and more hunter takes on the chin. Guys right culminated less other less of a. Let's have a game and that's fit to the your episode episode. I still think sweet this episode still though a moment senate while that's really sweet I know amendments rosler yet.

Nothing to do with trans whatsoever. I think king cobra was just trying to assert that he is very very straight. We got that loud and clear. Buddy is there you go some dating advice from king cobra moving on now. Oh this is a bit of a warning a trigger warning so people don't like to see blood a really hear people talking about blood. You might be listening to the wrong podcast if this is you. Anyway i'm about to make The chapter artwork. Something pretty gross. And i'm a doing it. Because i want to prove to you that this story is real a lot of times when i read these True life stories that they're so hard to believe you really want additional proof. I know i do many times. So i'm gonna show you just one photo of what. This girl is talking about here in her story that i have seen additional photos. Probably five or six other ones in in this little collection. But i'm just going to show you one so you can sort of get an idea of what she has done to herself. Chapter artwork is upright now and let's begin her story. I'm taking my motorcycle license. And i love it but the helmets are uncomfortable for me. I have chubby cheeks. The helmet pushes on them and gives me blisters inside of my mouth. I'm not overweight. it's just genetic. Say the same thing. Honey i thought. Hey why don't. I just make my cheeks slimmer. There's a procedure called boko. Fat removal be. Ucla buckled fat removal. Where they basically cut out a fat pad in your cheeks either way. It's usually expensive in too much effort. And i thought it would be fun to do. What myself pitches to fun thing. I watched youtube video of the procedure. Wonder how many people have died because they thought they could do surgical procedures on themselves. After watching a youtube video. I watched youtube videos of the procedure. Carried out my doc and they all said it was an easy simple and fast procedure. So i thought hey why not save some time money and effort and just do it myself. So i started collecting all the materials. You got a hobby. Knife disinfectant tweezers anesthetic. Spray i tried ordering an actual mini suture kit from amazon which had stitches a needle an actual medical knife and medical tweezers but my card kept declining. So i just up. Its up fast. Forward two weeks. I was in my own room. I finally had everything set up. I spent two hours in the morning trying to reach the fat on one cheek. But i almost fainting so i gave up. I had a hangover. So maybe that had something to do with it. You should do it while you're drunk and can't feel anything that's a better idea. I was pissed. Because i couldn't find the fucking fat pad. I just didn't cut deep enough past the muscle either way in the evening. I tried again instead. I used the scissors on my tiny swiss army knife to cut instead of the hobby. Knife anesthetic kept wearing off so it wasn't pain-free but i eventually reached the fat within the first hour. I came to the conclusion that there was nothing. Easy simple fast about it. Yeah it's it's easy simple and fast for doctors to know what the fuck they're doing. Not for dumb college. Gibbs probing their mouths with a swiss army knife anyway. That shit was hard. The blood kept on covering up. What i was trying to see so i just see red inside my mouth. Instead of the fat pulling it out was a different matter entirely. It was an insanely weird sensation. Like pulling a tooth but in your cheek. I cut the fat but hit a vein so hence the blood on my john afterwards either way. I'm sitting here writing this with someone else's frozen dinner held to my face just cutting it out. It took three hours and all for one fat pad. Because i didn't know what the fuck i was doing but hey practice makes perfect. I didn't even use any stitches the day after she says my chica swollen a shit ton but that's to be expected. I saved the fat pad in decided to put it on my sandwich. I added a little bit of pepper. Because hey i don't waste good food. It tastes a bit like the fat part of a pork cutlet and yes. There's a photo of the fat pad on the bread. One of the additional photos people concerned over my mental health. Please i don't need your two cents. I mental health is fine. okay. I'm not depressed or suicidal and i don't have body image issues. I just wanted to fucking helmet on. My head was scraping up against her. I could see how that would be annoying. I don't have a body image issue. I just enjoy pain. You'd wanna talk to a professional about that. There's a reason why you're a paid slut. I just enjoy paid pushing myself to the limts. Some interesting comments on this post replying to the girl. Could you not have just gotten a helmet that fits. It'd be funny if this girl never even thought.

"For business. The sparks brothers. Say sundance delight tells the grand story of this enduringly indignation. Art pop duo by stephanie's a jaric and nineteen eighty-three when i heard a crazy little song called cool places. A collaboration between jane wiedlin of the go-goes and outfit i'd sort of heard of called sparks. I asked myself rhetorically sparks. Where have you been all my life. Then i sort of forgot about them until roughly twenty fifteen when a diabolically ingenious album called f f s. A collaboration between the scottish band franz ferdinand and once again sparks caught my attention. Then i sort of forgot about them again until i watched edgar rice glorious documentary the sparks brothers which premiered at this year's sundance film festival from now on. I swear i'm going to be all sparks all the time. Sparks a codename for real life. Brothers ron and russell mail are often described as an art. Pop duo which is as good a description as any given that they've influenced bands across roughly five decades without becoming conventional superstars themselves and they will probably continue to inspire and confound until the end of time sparks are that inexplicable and that durable right the director behind shaun of the dead and baby driver has loved sparks for a long time and he's the ideal guide through their woolly story. The sparks brothers begins not at the beginning but in the eternal middle of the sparks story. Which is today. We see ron and russell. Last they are now hip but distinguished looking guys in their seventies russell with a shock of straight dark. Possibly not real hair. Ron rocking a pencil moustache borrowed from aero flan. Then right shows ron and russell as the adorable classic nineteen fifties style kids. They were born three years apart. And as it turns out inseparable in a prickly sort of way ron and russell raised in los angeles tell us that their parents loved bringing them to the movies and had no compunction about walking right in the middle. The brothers suggests that imagining the beginnings of so many movies may have influenced the songs they right which are often exercises and defiant cerebral non linearity that somehow make perfect sense. Here's a sample lyric from an early song. Called girl from germany about a guy bringing his girlfriend home to meet his jewish parents. Well it's the same old country but the people have changed my word germany with its splendid castles and fine cuisine in the early days. The male brothers weren't sure whether they'd become filmmakers or musicians or maybe both and nineteen sixty seven. A band called half nelson which found only mild success in los angeles to make it. Big ron russell. Had to change their band's name an early manager and knowing how much they loved the marx brothers suggested the sparks. Brothers a name. They loathe and successfully shortened. They also had to move to england to get things going and right provide some premo footage from the time. Roughly nineteen seventy four of their first big. Uk hit a peacocking male aria. About maybe two dude squaring off over the same desirable lady called this town ain't big enough for the both of us. Russell is a para pathetic. String bean glam rocker with a fuzzy halo of hair and a snuggle tooth smile. Ron is perched stiffly at the keyboards sporting a hitler mustache and an intimidating expression. What exactly is going on here. Russell's high pitched vocals have a dipsy doodle operatic quality. And he's cute enough for the pages of tiger. Beat ron is just weird but the wild baroque curly cues spinning out of. His keyboard are both seductive and sophisticated. Sparks was one of those bands. Unlike any you've heard before until everyone started borrowing from them since that time sparks changed styles so many times always ahead of current fashion not in response to it that they're often accused of being imitators of bands. They've actually inspired and they continue to make records and book tour dates. They've also written recently. Completed film net directed by french. Filmmaker ingenious wild man laos barracks and starring. Adam driver right includes interviews with musicians. Who have long adored sparks among them back the sex pistols steve jones and nick rhodes and john taylor of duran duran as well as random smarties like pat nas fault and neil gaiman. There's a lot of material here. The sparks brothers runs a whopping two hours and fifteen minutes though. It feels as fleet as a three minute pop song. Okay maybe a four minute pop song but this grand big little film leaves you. Wanting more sparks not less. If you've only sort of heard of sparks. The sparks brothers is a great place to begin. If you're already a fan you'll go nuts for it. And if you're like me you'll never lose track of sparks again. If you call this writing by tom o'connor brandon murphy and phillip murphy based on characters created by o'connor is hung up on an exhausting subplot involving sonia and darius it's desire to conceive a child areas feels shame and embarrassment. The fault he's convinced lies with his own faulty testicle. Meanwhile sonia chatters on in fractured english about the perceived inadequacy of her own vagina. If anyone could make this dismal stuff funny it's high hayek but not even chic and rescue it sometimes. A dumb action comedy can work perfectly well as a one off particularly if it's writers and director can pull off the illusion that they didn't have to work hard to earn our laughs but the hitman man's bodyguard is all work and no payday even in the service of airheaded entertainment. No one should compelled to take a bullet for it. It's okay to let a franchise die. Meet walter wellman. The owner of woman's autoparts. Everything was fine until his calibration system took a turn for the worse critical.

"I think it was a mix i mean there is a there is a significant amount of convincing her actually like hey we should work together. Her first answer was n- some version of no we can live. Leave the adjectives out but it was definitely some version of no and then after bugging her about it for long enough She and i decided to give it a go. Good that's exciting and what's was the three to five year plan. I'm curious so i we have to prove that what we're doing is translatable and scalable in other words can we launch three three businesses a year and if we can maintain that pace how do we make sure that we've got enough capital and People and all that Growing and before we get there three five years it's really about getting revenue out of the first one and turn that into a viable business on. Its own so it's it's one step at a time until we figure out how to pull it off. Well and i'm gonna turn the mic over to you. But i do have one more question because it's relevant right now governor abbot. Although texas hasn't exactly been closed. I went into midland i. I told this story before. I went into midland and i walked into like one of the restaurants shall remain nameless. I don't get them in trouble but they basically said us or you're going to need to take your mask off if you wanna come in here and housley you better believe i'm gonna dig my mask off to come in here and today governor. Rabbits like capacity restrictions gone and and mask mandate gone. I know south dakota's already there. I think iowa's already there florida's already there. The republican states are opening up. Do you think there's going to be a difference where you are. Democrat mayors can still hold demand down and try and hold the power. I think houston politics in general. There's there has been a little back and forth between governor abbott and the local local authorities. Here i'm not smart enough to know which way it's going to go. But i think in general it takes more than just the people in power to adopt and really change and i know that i think a lot of people are just done with turn of especially after the freeze. Yeah it's going to be super interesting because again once once things started crumbling and i think that now we're like saints a lot of friends. I thought april. I was going to be. 'cause cases are plummeting. People are tired of the mass. It's getting warm and roll. Like what are we like come up. "More like less relatable you know because i remember the first gets chosen for that super soldier program they throw the fake grenades out any jumps on them to save all the other people but everybody else runs away and he's willing to sacrifice whereas we live in a place. Where when you have record droughts people will be like. I'd rather pay the ten thousand dollar fine to on my lawn. Young people have so it's like people aren't willing sacrifice so people could still look at him and think you know He is noble cause in there and he is still a hero. Because in my heart and i would do that if i could pay my way out of something and not having our that real people are gonna be. I was Yorkshire of the united the individual structure of the united states when you said You know making superheroes relatable like. I like i just thought like a thought came into my head. It was like superman but people kind of want because look at the zack snyder superman. The guy is just a big dick is he's not super and that's gonna make people like him you know but yeah he. He didn't want to save anybody in his dad All the previous superman's his dad is always like. Hey clark you've got to do things you have a lot of power you know. Great jaric yet. Great powers great responsibility. Then kevin costner. Version is like hey if you wanna take care of yourself fuck you take care of yourself. You don't owe anybody. He's telling him that. Hide your superpowers. Yeah you gotta hide your superpowers be selfish. The world's going to use your and then in the second movie members of superman. The mothers like if you want to help him help him. But if you don't want to fuck what the fuck you know. And i agree with. I agree with winfield. Like i think that was the weird thing about captain. America was that they didn't make him relatable like everyone can relate with the superhero when once he gets his powers non going to beat everybody up. How many people relate to. I'm the skinny scrawny guy. And i'm still going to stand up for everybody even without the powers and i thought that was very interesting that he wasn't like hiding or afraid when he had no powers he was like thin and he's druids body in front of helping people and took beatings just because he didn't like seeing people get get bullied and that that was interesting because that was everything they said. That was unbelievable about superman. They said oh. People are related. Someone who's like a boy scout and it's not noble so we gotta make edgy and snap necks and is you know. He's tortured about his powers and he hates humanity and they did it in a flop and then they made captain america. Exactly like what he said. No one liked about superman and he was the most popular went out of the marvel. Movies said about people on some level are kind of star for the hero but the marvel movie presented it in the way that they're degraded facilities could absorb it. We're gonna give you fight every ten seconds..

Woody guthrie allegedly and shabby hotel room just outside of times square. Not on the six but in close enough for lopez to sing this song a protest anthem but also an irrefutable declaration of belonging with so much conviction and boldness is to bring guthrie's intent and his dream full circle. This is in america. He couldn't have imagined. So terrible in some ways yet so radiant and others here is where woody and his work shirt meets a dazzling latina artists from the bronx who represents not just in terms of any monetary success but in her sheer awesomeness.
