"Old Sharon and six jared and six-year-old Jocelyn were staying at the Padre River resort which was owned by Allen and his brother. Arslan Alan in several interviews talked about how he was attracted to the Canyon. He likes being out in the trees and just kind of being out in the wild and I I quit this to how people in Wisconsin always go up north on the weekends. They have a house on a lake somewhere and they relax so sure. So this guy's like living his dream like he loves the mountains. He opens up a little a resort there so he basically live where he wants to work there at the same time. Yeah Him and his brother owned this little resort and It sounds like a pretty cool. Cool place they would wake up in the morning. They would close the resort at eleven o'clock at night they didn't have a care in the world. If even if they're working they you know they were together. Their family was together. Twenty four seven. So that's what they they really enjoyed in this fall time. There is a Christian singles group. That was staying at the lodge and they weren't paying any rent the lodge but they're helping alien prepare for winter so eventually worked off their bill. Yet and apparently Allan Allan knew a lot of these people in the group and I think his ex wife was a member of the group. I wrote one of one hundred awkward at all yet. So this whole time line starts when the the group wanted to go hiking around this trout farm which was like a mile and a half away from the resort. Allen thinking that they were going to the trout farm was cool with his two kids going with them and he thought you know. I know some of these people in the group okay. So it wasn't a group of strangers sent his kids off with like knows people and they've been living there for a while. Yep Okay Yeah So. He thought they were there. Just going like a mile down the road trout. Farm GonNa Kinda stop around a bit. And then they would be back like. I said it's October second. One thousand nine hundred ten. Am in the morning. So three-year-old jared and his six year old sister Jocelyn and eleven members of this Christian singles network. Leave for leave. The river resort. The Dad thinks they're going to this trout farm mile and a half way but for some reason while en route to the trout farm they decided to go fifteen miles west of the resort to the big south trail that you mentioned in the beginning of your location profile. In the didn't tell the dad they made a sixteen or fourteen mile deviation from plate they did not and I wonder if if Allen had known they were going to the big south trail originally if he would've led his kids go. I'm I'm guessing he wouldn't have. I'm guessing I I would agree with that because if he really knows that mountain well and if what you're saying what you said earlier that people know this harder trail he'd be like no. You shouldn't go there but if that group was not familiar with the area maybe they thought there's GonNa find nicer spot. Yeah so You know in in several of the interviews Allen talked about how he gave permission for him for jared and Jason. Go under the assumption. They're going to the trout farm. He talks about how. Jared never liked to wear shoes. So he he kind of left his shoes untied. He goes into descriptions of kind of what kind of clothes he was wearing. You know just like I said in the character profile that the Fleece Jacket. The Blue sweatpants No survival gear sure Bill Nelson. Who IS THE UNDER SHERIFF? We mentioned in mentioned him in the character profile. He mentions that the church went up to the big south trail. They parked at the trail head and then they started walking down the trail. This happens in big groups Bill said the group started to separate so some of the the faster hikers kind of started moving forward and some of the slower hikers. Were in the back. There was one adult with jared and his sister at the time and they. They seem to be hiking ahead of everybody else. I'm assuming you know. Jared is a little kid. He's kind of down the trail. So the dirt's trying to stay with him. This group of eleven plus shared and Jocelyn are hiking on the trail and Jared Jocelyn in one adult kind of ahead had to the pack and everyone else's kind of lagging behind sure. Butch mentioned earlier. He gives us a description of the big south trail head. And this is where I was telling you earlier. Joe I was. Kinda like yeah. I don't know if I'd let a little kid hike this trail alone even that young. I don't know if I'd want him hiking with me either. But so butch describes a trail as a moderate has ups and downs. He said you could take a kid on it as long as you kept the kid in line and hung onto him he said there are some areas where the ledges were only twenty four inches wide. And you'd loose shale all the way down to the river so it was the drop off like had they never mentioned how the drop off but I guess we're thrilled doesn't matter if it's a drop off. That goes a river. If it's five feet or ten feet it's still yeah and Bush goes on said it's a moderate trail is it's pretty tough east. Go he goes. If you're not in shape it'll take a lot out of you. So and he you know he's referring to an adult so being a three kids aren't in shape that just can't be no so all right so now we are fast for into eleven thirty. Am So to fishermen about a mile and a half up the trail from the main group siege jared and talked to him briefly and this was near the camp to site. It was reported that when jared stopped and talked to the fishermen he he asked something about. Are there bears in the area? The fishermen said no we haven't seen anything in then believing that jared will soon be met by the Group of people hiking behind him. They kind of just went back to fishing. Jared just kept walking down the trail. So at this point. Jared is by himself so between. Jeez so between ten. Am and eleven. Thirty am jared somehow got away from the adult in his sister and I was walking down the trail by himself. Reports from the sheriff's department say that it was unclear if jared was between the two groups or head of the faster group when he met the fishermen but the important thing to note here is fishermen. Were the last people. That saw. Jared okay so no one after eleven. Am Eleven thirty am soldered again. So the eleven thirty timeframe that's when they said they talked to Him. Or that's when a group called up and asked were jared was. That was one of the fishermen. Say They talked to jared okay so he was alive and known where he was at eleven thirty so approximately about twelve fifteen pm. The hiking realizes that jared's missing and they start searching for him for about our Some members of the group returned to the river lodge to alert Allen and in one of the interviews Allen was kind of napping and they alum. We have a situation. Your your son's not hurt. He's just missing cheese trying to soften the blow of they frigging losses kid. He wakes up from his NAP in a panic. He just. He runs out to his car. He's like where are you got? Where was he in there? They tell them. Oh fifteen miles up the road at the big south trail. And he's like. How did you guys get that far up the road his remember? Allen the whole time thought they were hiking at the trout farm just a mile away Allen speeding up the road towards the trail. Had some of the members of the group are still out there. Looking for jared now. This is kind of strange. A couple of the people in the group including jared sister claimed to have heard a scream but when they're asked by law enforcement. Was it a scream of panic? They said it sounded like a like a scream of joy like he was playing like with somebody like a playful scream but they never were able to actually verify if there was a screamer not it just kind of a weird a weird thing to hear. I think initially to like. Does he think he's playing hide? And seek with these people and you know what I mean like. When you're a kid you kind of give your position Yummy. Click a little noise possibly. Maybe he was playing hide and seek with With maybe the fishermen who knows the fishermen didn't report any any type of scream. So yeah I'm just saying in general like a kid will just hide. Thrill doesn't do things that are logical Bill Nelson the under sheriff. We're GONNA mention him quite a bit in this timeline. In one interview he goes on and kind of describes what happened at this point in time he writes as jared as a three year old is running and playing and having a good time in. I believe there was something ten to twenty minutes worth of time that he will she lost track and he's referring to the adult that was with them shortly then goes on to say the adult realized. I haven't seen him for a while. In when they went up to try and find him they kept going down the trail thinking they would they would catch up with him and they never. Did you know it sounds like just an innocent mistake? I'm sure that the woman that was in charge of keeping track of him to this day probably never let herself live down. Yeah unless she's like mentally unstable or something but that would that would that ruin you and I think what probably makes it worse as it sounds like everyone in this kind of knew each other and new Alan so they weren't just strangers so that makes it harder fast forward to four PM still on October. Second Alan Hedges spent the last couple of hours up there at the trail. He was running down the trail. I remember one of the interviews. Said he was screaming. His name nicknames used to call him you know just frantically trying to find him he drives back down to the lodge to call nine one one and he finds out that someone had already notified notified. The searchers so at four pm now a long enforcement has been notified. That jared's missing so again. Some of these cases you can go a day or two before. The person's reported missing. This was quick. Went missing about you know. They realized he was missing. About Twelve Fifteen. Pm and law enforcement was notified at four PM. Yeah I think to the age of the the subject is really what dictates that like. If it's an adult it's different. It's a three year old kid in the no one can find him. It's I think people mobilized pretty quick. Yeah I imagine if you were. I went missing. They privately Those bows can. I mean how many times how many times you've been like a few hours behind your arrival time. I mean that's why any time I leave my opinion I give I give a window of like four hours because you don't know what you're going to go into sometimes if it's a new trail you can kind of look at a. Topo map and look at the profile gas but it was the first time you're doing it. You don't know what you're GONNA run into. It's always that like hikers choke when you're hiking elevation on a trail and you're like oh just over that Ridge world. Yeah and then you get over. Oh No just over the next Ridge and we'll be done like you don't ever ends. What was it? Was IT Mount House foods? One of the freeze dried food. Companies puts those little quotes in the bottom. Yeah and it was like like the commandments of hiking. It's it's always farther than it seems. Oh yeah never trust a fart like things like that or the never never trail sign. That has the mileage on it. Oh absolutely not ever but yeah okay so So yeah four. Pm Law enforcement is notified. That jared is missing four twenty six. Pm An emergency pager. Alert is sent to the Laramie County Emergency Service Services Specialist Bill Nelson..

And obviously his dad has no idea that he's living with his boyfriend his mom was a different story. His parents divorced when he was five and his dad raised him. So mom was more of the cool. Mom, more of a friend telling his mom was easy. Telling us sister was more difficult. My dad has always given us everything we ever needed. But my sister was always that support you need as a child growing up. I feel like I always still to this day. Like come to her for advice. Tol her everything we're like always on the phone together. She's my best friend so coming up to my sister was definitely hard. I remember sitting in her Chevy, Malibu and my mom's driveway. And kind of told her that I told her mom, and I was gay and sh- when she gets a little uncomfortable situation. She just kind of has little to say she should kind of. Okay. And I was like, well, I kind of probably wouldn't be telling you if there really weren't a reason. And she was a little bit more interested maybe in that. I was like, well, I'm kinda seeing someone who's pretty important to me. She comes from the same family. It's the same mindset sustain kind of Ohio rural area. Yeah. It's really hard for really anyone to really even use the word boyfriend when it's like an reference to my relationship with Jared. I think now it's amazing between us it was never bad. But I think there was like a struggle there, which I think is it kind of goes to show, I think how much harder and how much more work. Maybe it takes for LGBTQ couples to really be knowledged as a couple a committed couple. Let just because we're not a man in a woman doesn't mean that we are less committed than a straight couple relationship. That's also a sick people was like, oh, you're gay. You must be an open relationship. No. We are committed and want to be only with each other. And I think people it's hard for them to wrap their minds around it, which is stupid to us. But I don't know maybe make sense to other people. So yeah, she's been really good about it. She loves Jared. We have a really good relationship with my sister. And my brother in law Agana, just like another catch twenty two because as much as that's important to me. I feel like now I have involved now my sister in this. And so now I feel like coming out is now like putting my sister's relationship with my dad, potentially at some sort of risk. Also. All of this. Hiding lying has just been a roller coaster of emotions for Jared. And he's been so incredibly patient through all of it. Mike, I get I've had to come out to my family. I've seen friends come out. I've been through that process. And it is not easy. It is hard especially when you come from. You know, a Christian household. So I really was not pushing the envelope. Levi's? Like, I want to tell my family. I'm like, we'll take your time. It's fine. It's all good. But now we're getting older, and our siblings are getting older and time goes on. It's getting a little more difficult from Christmases. You know, we have to drive to separate cars because after we go to his sister's house, then he's got a sneak away to his dad's a couple of days, and I have to drive home by myself or the hardest time for me was his sister got married, and I have a really close relationship with her, and I was not allowed to come to the wedding, which like broke, my heart. And I. Broke Levi's heart all because this one may doesn't know about me. He was so involved in planning the wedding. My sister, always like ran things by us. Jared made a bunch of things for the reception Jared, and I kind of like put the playlist together and. Like my sister, like tried her wedding dress on for the first time like in our apartment in that was that was the only time that Jared saw in that I get to the wedding. And I'm like. I see like Jarrett's Ingram print all over everything. But he's not there, but a few months after Levi sister's wedding. Jared sister got married to. And leave. I was able to attend that wedding. A contrast was night and day. I just remember they were getting family pictures after her wedding there like Levi get in. And I was like, oh, I'll in the next you guys like a picture of the Riley's in leave. I get in. We're like not taking a lot of otas. Like, this is like the only family photo. And it made me like upset because again, I was just like inside my head about it. And it kind of got to the point where Jared was like I understand how you're feeling, but like this is my sister's wedding. I wasn't at your sister's wedding in where my sister's wedding now. So can we just like leave that at the door? And I was like, yeah. That you're right. I'm sorry. It's not me complaining or me thrown in his face. Like, oh, your dad doesn't know about me. Like, you know, but it is. It's just like look this is my family. We have all the love in the road to give. And we want to give it to you like you're worthy. You can't accept the love. So take it. I think now we're starting to continue to deal with that. Now that Levi sister leeann is pregnant, and I'm like, well, that's. You know, leave are not married, but we're definitely committed in in love each other. I would consider that little boy my nephew. I wanna be there for him. And I want to go to the hospital when he's born. So navigating those logistics now are are. Putting up some questions that leave I need to figure out. I think.

"Which there were many were devastated. The principle of Genero old high school had asked Gina if they could hold them immoral service inside their gymnasium, and there were some emotional personal touches at the memorial. Generose friends put together a playlist and one of his friends dad's played amazing grace on the harmonica. Residents of the town his family his friends came in droves to pay their respects Gina, and I spent quite some time talking on the phone, and she recounted memory. After memory that she had of her son. She told me that genereal loves to play video games, namely guitar hero. And that she had bought him a tar for his birthday one year. Deputy learned how to play it and taught himself to play. And I remember always always been. No and got down that we've got through down the rattling the windows in the house. It's so loud, or you know, is just everywhere. Okay. I missed that. I'm mishearing that I missed the guitar. I this telling now. You know, what they're gonna play go outside. Jared Murray was charged with first degree murder and was denied bail later that day after his interrogation. Investigators spoke with Jared's. Roommate? Shane Shane told them that when Jared called him that night saying that he had crashed his vehicle needed help. He also told Shane something else. Something to Q Leear Jarod told him that he had reached or accomplished objective. A Shane said he didn't know what that meant. But investigators wrote in a search warrant that they believed it meant that Jared may have been planning to kill again had he not been caught. There is also that point in the interrogation were Jared had remarked that he was said that he had gotten caught so quickly. But even after searching his dorm room in seizing his laptop. They couldn't find anything else to bolster their theory as Jared was being held at the pot Awada me county jail. A disturbing image of him started to emerge. According to the university. Police report about that fight Jared had gotten into with one of Generose friends afterwards that friend told university police that he wanted Jared gone from their dorm or at least away from his room. He told the officers that he was scared of Jared and that he was a freight. Jared would try to blow him up he said Jared had the inner kissed cookbook in his room, but back in Asher, Oklahoma, where Jared was from no one seemed to notice anything odd or scary about him aside from the fact that he constantly were a black suit. He had no criminal history. No problems at his former high school and the people in his hometown later told reporters that they were shocked at what he. Had done. Jared sister also seemed to be in shock. She wrote on her Facebook page the day after his arrest quote. I'm really at a loss for words about the entire situation. I don't even know what to think right now, let alone. What to say, I will say this though, I never ever thought in a million years that one of my brothers could would ever do anything even remotely close to this. In April two thousand thirteen prosecutors announced that they would be seeking the death penalty district. Attorney Richard smother men told the court that the killing was especially heinous atrocious and cruel and the Jared deserved to die. But there was a serious question about Jared's mental state both the state and the defense had hired experts to assess him, and they both ended up agreeing. Jared did not know right from wrong at the time of the shooting. This states expert noted that Jared said every person was a piece on a Japanese chessboard. And that he was the king. He also wrote that Jared had talked about how he had been planning on killing somebody and how on the day of the murder he had just gotten a feeling that it was time. Gina said she knew what was about to happen. I know that every single case that goes across the desk. Is important to the and I know that he's got to treat. Everyone of them. You know, he's got they've got their heart and soul into everything that they do only one that was important to me, and it was much done. And I had nothing but time on my hands. Nothing but time. So I dug and I and I and I researched and I researched and I would schedule time with my victims of the. And with the DA, and I told him I said, look, I said I'm telling you now, he's the new guys is you plead vanity Gina said they brushed off her concerns that Jared would plead insanity. They told her that she was putting the cart before the horse. I said, no stay in. I said it'd be found not guilty by reason sanity is not acceptable to me. Not I said he will never be convicted of my friends Corinth if this happened. I said he will be innocent premeditated murder. I don't tell me then putting the cart before the horse. I said this is very real. This could happen. No. That that can happen in the state of Oklahoma. We'll guess what we fell in that one. Gino was right in July two thousand fifteen as a result of the report submitted by both the state and the defense pot Awada county District Judge John g Canavan junior ruled that Jared was not guilty by reason of insanity instead of prison he would be sent to a state mental hospital for treatment his release date would be dependent on whenever a judge rules that he is no longer a danger to society Judge Kevin told Generose family in court that he wished there was something else. He could do for them peace there. He was begging for more for that. We have more because I'd not want to the way that it's going to. And then he looked at me he on sorry, but are have to go. But a letter of the law in the literal, oh says that if we found not guilty of insanity in so Jared was sent to the Oklahoma forensic center for treatments after the sentencing outside the courtroom district. Attorney Richard smother men was angry too. He said generis family didn't get Justice. This system failed them today. He said and the laws of the state of Oklahoma failed them today because he is not been found guilty. He has not been held accountable. This is a ludicrous results. He called him the state legislators to change the law. So that instead of being found not guilty by reason of insanity. Defendants like Jared could instead be found guilty by reason of insanity. And so that after they received treatment if there ever found to be saying again, they could then be transferred to. Listen to serve out their sentence. Because as it stood in Jared's case, I law he would be released once his treatment was over into nearly everyone's shock one forensic psychologist was about to make jurors release a real possibility sooner than anyone could have thought.

"The. Hey, guys, welcome to the podcast. You don't know. But we haven't been sitting around the table for the past three weeks because we've prerecorded everything so much advance because we were all way on for for me. It was like vacation ish. There were some work mixed in, but I went to Jared sister's wedding than we did wedding venue shopping ourselves to New York that I went to for junior then went on a joint family cruise and all this time. I have no idea what Nasr is done in two and a half weeks, and it's actually kind of great because we have wonderful chatty podcast material where you're gonna hear just actually catch up. I can't wait to hear about this curse, but before we get to learn, you said you had. I don't get also, I really fucking miss you. I do that out with other people really hard. No, the best version of yourself. Yeah. Yeah, I don't really hard do that myself. I'm like, not. I don't even have a best version of myself. Anymore because yeah, yeah. But when you're not around your friends, it's mainly like navigating egos and like, you know what I mean? It all is anyways learn. What are your I don't get. I don't get. I wrote down on my phone last night. My dad and I were eating were eating food paradise. We're watching food paradise, and there was a pizza episode and everyone was folding their pizza during all I'm pizza folder. Now, you know, with certain pizza, like dominoes, you're not gonna fold right? Because it's like a lot of bread, but the big flat slices like the New York slices. You're just cutting your bite. That's what I'm saying. You're cutting your enjoyment half. No, but you're getting more of a cheesier bready or greasier by than just take a larger bite in the to the trying are just felt the pizza's going by really fast if you have a whole party yourself sure fold. But if you're like sparingly. Than definitely eat it by ever fucking guy one, no, always have out there. I don't know. I mean, then I feel like he gets even drippy or because then all the cheeses, like squeezing field overly as for my love, the if hands are getting dirty in the process that takes away from the enjoyment of whatever food it is. Like if it's greasy burger, even though it's delicious, the experiences and as satisfying if I have oil all of my hand hundred percent, if it's.

"This is the Ben and Ashley, I almost famous podcasts with radio. Absolutely. And I are back and we are ecstatic for this podcast. This is a special podcast. You don't plan on putting a podcast out today, but bachelor nation is blowing up. It's all over the news. Everything's crazy. I have people like my grandma. My aunt, my mother friends on the street, knowing what in the world is going on with the bachelor. There's gotta be something in that bachelor water because everybody's in the news, the one person that is also in the news, my code actually I can ETI actually your parents and my rail air. It's parents, yes, you only robbery the parents re unite for the first time. How was it? I'm certainly not gonna call that breaking news, but it was very important news for happening for Jared and myself, and it went so well. It was crazy when they first met, we'll be always knew they were going to get along splendidly. But from the first. Dinner. I could just see it in my parents is and his parents is they love each other. My mom like almost cried saying about his mom today was adorable, and we had four, five, three family dinners together. Not one awkward. Silence so much talking and think they connected, so well, it was amazing, three worried at all going into this about, like kinda the dynamic or the awkward silence. And I mean, that's a big step, a huge step. I, I wish for entertainment sake that I could say that we were anxious about it, but we weren't at all. They have very, we were raised in very similar families just like very nurturing, fun, loving, warm, funny parents, and they bonded really well. Can we get one really good story a first off? How did Lauren your sister handle this whole thing? Did she handle it? Well, we had her. I friend came because her sister my my sister birthday is today, so she wanted to have her boyfriend, of course, on the cruise, and because she would have been legit the ninth wail without him, of course, he came on because then we also had Jared sister, Shannon and her. Now husband, they got married to last week on the cruise. So. Ten people. Five couples Loren had met Jared parents before, and she needed are gonna get along. Well, she get a great time. She's very comfortable with his parents to, which is really nice because Warren's basically my signed meets when in always with me. Is this the boyfriend that Lord had that wear sunglasses? Yeah. Yeah, I like a lot. This time, no way. It's a sad. It was great. It was such a good. Yeah. Good for him. Well, actually, I'm ecstatic for you. I know that even though you say you're not anxious, I believe you, but it is a big step in a relationship and and I feel like from here on out, I mean, what other large kind of I, I guess, benchmarks, do you need to get past and up into the wedding date. When you do especially book the wedding, which I think is going to be doing this week, my debt, you know, no, don't stuff without him. We spend a check and then we have the venue log down in an official day. The other nice thing about your parents getting along as we get actually do holidays jointly. You know, my parents income come up to island for Christmas and they can come down to Virginia for thanksgiving. That's really nice. 'cause a lotta people have to choose which family to go to. But I have a feeling that my family is going to actually one hang out with the havens more. This is just a love story that keeps on giving. Pretty. This is good stuff. Hey, Ashley, I'm excited for you to find a home. I think that's a big deal right home. What do you mean? You guys gotta find a home at some point. And when you do Jerry is gonna be Donald, the guys busy and.

"Okay. It's time for our university. Co op question of the week got it. Okay. All right. All right. And this one is submitted for Andrew who wants to know. What is the craziest play that you've ever run anywhere that you were coaching that completely caught the opposition off guard who were you playing? And where do you have you ever memory of that? Yeah. We we've been we've been known to call some crazy planes. I think the two there's I guess three that come to mind, but to in the same game one we at Iowa State. We we had to get very creative in the ways that we were going to try to score the ball on people. And so we got down in the red zone. And we actually through a sprinted to our left, and we had the right tackle set way. Back behind the quarterback. We threw the ball back to our right tackle and set up a screen for our right? Tackle that went and scored a touchdown against Missouri. So that's something. You don't see every day that goes back a little bit. Yeah. Is for. Offensive lineman to catch a screen pass and score with it. The other two were probably the the the two that I'm proudest of is that. When I was at rice the quarterback's name was chase planet. Receivers name was Jarett Dillard, and they had the all-time record for touchdown passes completed one quarterback to a receiver. And we thought it would be really cool. If in there they were both seniors if in their last game together that Jarett Dillard actually through chase Clement touchdown. So we had like three different throwback to the quarterback passes. We we called one and it was a duck Dillard through a doc, but we call the second one and it worked. And so now that that number increased only increase because the receiver actually through the touchdown to the quarterback. I'm sure you're familiar with Jared sister tie, correct? Yep. Assistant basketball coach. Yup. Anti of course, a member of Jodi Conrad's two thousand three final fourteen and married. To Brandon Mouton a member of the men's final four team that same year three. "Parking lot and get into his car when they found the south three detectives ranted jarrett's car they opened the driver's side door and pulled him from the car jared threw his arms in the air and offer no resistance and immediately started making excuses guy pick up my children gotta call my parents well yeah i think he was kinda shocked i think he wasn't expecting this right right at least not at that moment so as taken away he looked angry more than anything else he was glaring at the officers he asked for his attorney and wouldn't talk to the detectives magistrates do not have the power to grant pale and murder charges so jared's legal team would wait for a date in the supreme court to make an application for bail police who wanted to shave the beard he'd been growing since allison disappeared applied for forensic procedure order to do it and this is swiftly granted so this allowed police to see what was under the beard forensic medical of a cer dr leslie griffiths who had examined jared in hospital after his car accident almost two months earlier was called the carry out the order shaving jared's right cheek he found his injuries were fading but still visible and had scarred superficial shaving cuts would not be expected to mix scarring right well because of his high profile he was kept under observation in the jails medical center jared's family was already working to get him out on bail dr bruce flag was a wealthy man but even for him the requests seemed extraordinary not long after jared was arrested flag answered a phone call and it was jared sister leah she asked would flag come up with one million dollars for jarod's bail so this took him by surprise and he thought that she was really out of touch with reality and he told her no way right off the bat in the electric evidence examination unit investigative computer analysts neil robertson was reexamining data retrieved from jared's iphone when ellison at first gun missing robertson had used a forensic tool called the celebrate universal forensic extraction device to download data from jared seized phone he is to separate application called celebrate physical analyzer to make the data readable eight thirty am on.

"Of attention and his allison was showered with attention on this evening before the wedding jared's mother elaine bayden clay decided for some reason that they needed to change the focus so she just came out and said will enough about allison let's talk about jared and this seems like an odd thing to say and this is the women getting ready to talk about the wedding and everything it's not as steig party for men right so she brings her son up there to me that's kind of weird yeah there little bit of an strange family nestor sister vanessa friends carryanne linda and jared sister livia to be your bridesmaids off five shared a room together in a city hotel the night before the wedding women all handled together in the same bed in their pajamas for group photo and ellison gave her bridesmaids earrings to wear the next day during the wedding jared s his brother adam and a schoolfriend bob cheesman to be groomsmen the wedding was beautiful affair held at saint mary's anglican church on brisbane kangaroo point cliffs in august nineteen ninety seven there about one hundred guests there to witness jared and alison take their vows the wedding party took a ferry across the brisbane river for the reception which was being held in historic customs house in the city alison through a boo k over her shoulder and they cut a four tier white cake pretty traditional sounds a lot which would expect except the one weird thing was that there was no alcohol yeah what's going on with that i don't know because they were both social drinkers and the surprise guests lead flight center head frequent social get togethers where they'd be out late into the night and some of their work colleagues were really kind of flabbergasted to find out that there's no booze before the wedding allison told some of your close friends that jared had decided there would be no alcohol i think this was just a financial decision and i don't know if i wanna put it on them but isn't that the groom's parents who usually pay the bar bill all sorts of traditions right and this is another country but you know seems like a cheap thing to do i've always really cheap out it's not gonna be that expensive well i mean the bar bill can be a lot but i've always thought you know that's kind of a cheap out thing to do just invite less people if you can't afford it especially if you're doing it in the evening and it's a party atmosphere from weird and because you know not even any champagne or anything you're i don't think there's any reason to not have it right except the jury wants to save money well and there were a lot of whispered complaints that he was just too cheap to pay for an open bar some people actually went off to where there was a bar and bought their own drinks are your sous ways around that there always is yeah sore jerky stood up to make his speech is the father of the bride and he spoke of his love for his daughter but he also had a message for jared she's my princess you look after he told his new son in law carryanne allison's friend had an approved jared when they started dating she didn't think is good enough for allison but she didn't really think anyone could be good enough for alison jared who is trying to win over took her out to coffee when day and said you don't really like me do you and carryanne had agreed says she's honest yeah she she said everything always seemed to be about him his career has travel plans as family that's not what you want for your friend know now as maid of honor she stood up to say few words and basically echoed allison's father you better take care of her otherwise you'll have meat an answer to she said so these are kind of interesting toast so yeah there's a little something in the air some bright mood beginning but speeches were big strength of the bayden klay family when jared stood to speak to his guests he had a lot to say he thinks his parents calling them mummy and daddy the speech went on and on some guests wore that jared speech lasted an hour and a half which would be remarkable world record he asked that would be tough but at the end of the night the newlyweds left in a little red sports car that had been decorated by their friends jared.

"All right i'm moving on to some other news federal prosecutors in new york have subpoenaed the company of jared kushner jared kushner of course a senior adviser to donald trump and also his soninlaw now this has to do with uh kushner properties going to foreign countries and uh essentially advocating four in investment in us properties that they're trying to develop in return for what's known as eb5 visas these are visas for wealthy investors who put money into us based projects and then get this socalled golden visa this ability to get a visa just because they're rich and they're investing in us properties are us projects now the program issues green cards to immigrants who invest five hundred thousand dollars in us based developments eighty five percent of which are chinese now remember was a big story when kushner properties went to china had this big meeting with wealthy chinese investors and essentially let these investors no hey guess what you know presidents resin sudden la his his connected to us and if you if you could get this they're not supposed to do that that is against the law trump uh also reauthorized the eb5 program the day before jared sister nicole kushner hitch the visas to potential foreign investors eb5 applicants also do not have a way of proving their level of skill beyond the ability to finance projects for us developers the only reason why bring that up is because this news comes right after donald trump claims that he wants to lessen legal immigration into the country because he only wants to allow skilled workers and skilled immigrants who speak english by the way um so i love that the federal prosecutors are going after you know uh kushner properties because there are so many negative ramifications of of doing what they did not only are the breaking the law by mentioning jared kushner and essentially selling them uh these golden visas but it's artificially inflating the housing market here in the united states by the way that type of foreign investment is artificially inflating the housing market in lots of other countries as well and so it infuriates me that they keep getting away with that and to know that prosecutors are finally doing something about it is good news for those of you author who support trump because if he strong on.

"Well the optics aren't good there straight up bad the kushner's family's business is now associated with a chinese company that a republican senator wants investigated for fraud here's the background kushner companies worked with the chinese firm to pitch a b five visas to local investors for an apartment complex in new jersey now as you and i have discussed this visa program gives foreign investors a pathway to us residency if they commit five hundred thousand dollars to a jobcreating project but senator grassley says the chinese company called chaohuai may have gone too far in the pitch in his letter he cites reports that child why falsely told investors that the kushner development is a safer investment versus others just like it because of the kushner's proximity to the trump administration now chaohuai also reportedly guaranteed green cards in its materials and grassley says if the company used that specific language it's fraudulent you're not allowed to guarantee green cards under this programme now he's asking to government agencies to investigate homeland security which oversees e b five visas and the sec which polices how financial companies market products to investors not to be clear as you said grassley never mentions kushner companies in this letter to these agencies but jared kushner's family took a lot of heat for attending these pitches in china especially when jared sister named dropped her brother at one of the presentations and this story comes at a time when jared is under increased scrutiny tied to the russian mestigation jake is still working with this chinese business partner under this clown.

"The people together stronger together blue apron hate any way you can s spend under ten dollars per person Oregon to churn out bullshit all day the way the United States does thanks to Breitbart and Fox's whatever Tucker Carlson saying at the moment but I also think like is probably more dangerous than just openly conservative outlets yeah and like I the the fact that local news and national news are inextricably tied local the local news to be like here's how politics is affecting US locally and now it's much more just a lot of regurgitating of what national political news is talking about which is why you've talked about this love it a lot voters are B coming pundits right well also local news is under the same pressures that all parts of our economy under and so there's all this kind of effort to commodity ties and aggregate and so rather than having to you by one hundred fifty stations and rather having one hundred and fifty reporters we're GonNa hundred forty stories you have a centralized process and you send one hundred and one national news story two hundred and fifty stations and that saves them a lot of money in that consolidation means that there's more control in the hands of very few determining what people see in their local news also by the way local news is often inherently conservative and how it presents information I mean it bleeds it leads like the old joke but like local local news was making crime the central focus of every night long before Donald Trump decided to apprentice numbers by running for president it is incredibly dangerous this slow you know stripping of resources local news outlets I mean look at the Boston Globe everyone saw spotlight or if you have it check it out through the movie but you know there's some of the local investigations can route corruption at the local level it's irresponsible and to rule to replace that with just having these local musicians like vessel for some conservatives propaganda should tell you everything you need to know about I people in the country view things the way they replace it with Steve Bannon whiteboard sounds Kirk media has to get involved haircuts yeah we're GONNA have to get local think global think globally attack but I'm they also by the way getting title for the it's also like local news being this kind of an organ of of right wing media is just GonNa increase this divide we have around news which is people under forty or cutting the they're not watching television they're not getting the news in the same way and the trumps the retired people the older people the people that are have been watching news this whole time are going to continue to get this kind of narrower and now a band of information in front of them and they're going to have a different worldview and it's their fault it's going to be based on the information they get every day and we don't we don't spend enough time talking about that's not remove their agency entirely but they have agency but it is propaganda works speaking of propaganda let's talk about the Kushner family globalist I have not dropping corruption not even so Washington Post story about the Kushner's China so donald trump signed allowed to extend a visa program this has been controversial visa program that allows foreign citizens to win fast track immigration in return for investing five hundred thousand dollars or more for an American properties so the day after he signs this jared Kushner sister pitches the program to a bunch of Chinese investors and urges them to in the roots in a New Jersey project being managed by her family's real estate company which even though they have stepped away from jared Ivanka still have a huge stake aac in at during the presentation she mentioned the jared is in the White House is a slide of the big picture donald trump on slows advertised as Kushner sister comes to China what was the light at the end when someone asked a reporter reporters were there they didn't report is going to be there and they asked the PR person on there what the hell was going on in the PR person that this is not the story we want the the PR people try to take away reporters phones and they physically surrounded participants in kept from getting interviewed my favorite quote in that story was washing posted great work on this credit to them subscribe George W Bush's former ethics lawyer called it incredibly stupid and highly appropriate which is pretty good for a former former lawyer I'm wondering when we can add the word illegal like I don't know what it takes to be corrupting anymore it is so fucking disgusting for these people to go to China you know this is going to be a larger problem too is like there's like increasing economic connection between China United States but Americans going to China and then allowing China's lack of press freedom to harass and corral and mystery American journalists journalists reporting on behalf of the right states to avoid negative stories is it's a it's disgraceful I just WANNA point out too that before like the jere point yes this is it should be legal houses not illegal and you saw you see CNN headline walking up and it was like raises eyebrows it's a little more than that but as his eyebrows before joining the has jared Kushner raised fifty million dollars from Chinese E. B. Five applicants for trump raided buildings and usually that's the visa this is the fact that you can invest five hundred grand in the US just hi it visas disgusting how is that public policy originally it was supposed to be for investing in like low income neighborhoods in like in investments that would help there's there's the program doesn't have any guardrails right so it's now a bunch of ally primarily Chinese investors just buying up like expensive luxury real estate and when it was actually supposed to be the target of the program is supposed to be like low income communities you know you can you can see how the the pitch for this works why wouldn't we want to get a bunch of foreign investment to create jobs the United States and if we get visa that's a good thing that's the kind of people we want to come and create jobs United States but the end result is just visa for sale yeah and and uh-huh ministration had advised the trump administration to change the program to raise the amount of money that you invest in which was probably a mistake because they didn't know it existed until then they do good Chris Hayes made a good point he tweeted he's like if this is the pitch made when reporters were there can you imagine some of the is that have been made when reporters weren't at these come on Kushner's how much money do you guys need to be this stupid and this brazen well they they apologized I saw some statement they put out this morning where they're like oh it's unintentional we didn't use his position bullshits Bull Shit it's up they didn't fall down they didn't fall down in like said generally referenced Donald Trump somebody made a slide slide long pre is a plan so the question is weird is what is the corruption stuff fit in in the overall messaging against trump what we're doing because I feel like all this quasi corruption maybe not so quasi corruption like we hear these stories about there's these great investigative pieces people get rich for day and then we sort of move on to all the other stuff and just in the background you know that this whole ministration is just doing unbelievably shady corrupt shit criminal it does nothing ever happens in that I don't know but it's like it's harping on it good things at smart tough I'm up two months and on the one hand I think I have in my mind a lesson from two thousand sixteen which is we try to flog this and didn't stick right because it didn't feel connected directly to people's lives and there's something we've said over that we need to make sure we're always connecting things back to people's lives and but at the same time like I don't want to over learn that lesson because I believe that this is really serious really important in that there has to be a way in which the fact that these people are profiting off their government service while they're mistreating the American people in in pursuing these policies that there has to be a case there I don't know what you think about it I look I think you're right that the fundamental messages can be economic but we but he ran on draining the swamp and I think showing that they've not only failed to do that but they have exacerbated baited the problem is going to be important because it's not just jared sister selling visas for fascinating it's it's like trump invites detaille the president of the Philippines the United States and the next day we read about one hundred fifty dollars million trump project that Ivanka is on the advertisements for in Manila and these things are big problems in their their corrupting our foreign policy and they're lining their pockets and I would even take that step further because on this on this one again I'm thinking back to macron's lying to Lapenne and the debate right like you've profited off people's fear and anger so what you can say about trump especially in this situation as this guy campaigned on restricting immigration this country unless you pay him and if you pay family then then you can come to the countries and immigrant oh I forgot I forgot about the must galling thing that almost do my phone across the room which was that Kushner sister got up in front of these people that are trying to buy a visa that they can profit and said you know my family we refugees and I was like you Callo insensitive vicious despicable people how shameless can you be they're putting a Muslim ban place keeping Syrian children out of this country and you're gonNA call yourself a refugee you people and go fuck yourself unbelievable I was so mad about that were on the fence as always for my family my family was a refugee and you we we don't care about them anymore but we would like your money for a visa invest in our real estate project because our brother jared the sign of the family but a building on fifth avenue it couldn't make it work joe like Jerry didn't do this I'm sure he is more furious than maybe anyone the fact this was that it was reported not that it happened like let's let's just stop talking about him some sort of liberal force for good in that building I'm sick eating his liberal PR firms talking Heller is to the rescue now she didn't get she didn't get to the first round of stories but you get to the stories today look they may have succeeded in watering down pences anti-gay religious executive order but again Ivan saying this I've been saying this for me months I have one test for Jared Ivanka and globalist Gary and it's the Paris climate accord's I have one test they stay in Paris climate accords I'm going to give them credit if they don't we're going to never talk about them as a force for good again they've got the one visit that's my one thing Paris climate accord this week could be it if they stay in it great job if.
