Avs quiet about Nichushkin's absence after police report
"The Colorado avalanche did not comment Friday on either the status of forward valerian ASUS can, who has been away from the team for a few days, or on a police report about an incident at the team hotel in Seattle last weekend. Colorado coach Jared bednar again said Friday that niche skin is away from the team for personal reasons. This is not a professional decision. It's a personal decision rights out there. Asked later, if the shoes can not with the apps because of a violation of team rules, bednar again reiterated the personal reasons. I'm geffen coolbaugh.

"If he wants to be an a whole great matter of fact, you need a little bit of that in you. He certainly didn't have enough in the last year, did we? I wasn't surprised at the reaction. He gave the other night because. He's from the Parcells and Belichick treat. So let me ask you this. If Bill Parcells are Bill Belichick, suddenly became the coach of the Broncos. And we're at a nuggets game. Would you expect Bill Parcells or Bill Belichick to get up and start chugging a beer and doing interviews over in-house arena interviews? Would you expect them to be doing? I'm here to connect with my coaches to put a staff together. The first time we've been like, we've been together completely as a staff. I'm here to celebrate those guys and for all of us as a staff to get to know one another. Here's Bronco fan, and we talked about this yesterday. I don't know what it means, but you want to have your cake and also eat it too. I just said that wrong, but you know what I mean? You want to have it you can't have your cake and eat it too. Not you can have your cake and eat it too. I think that you can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't have the cake and eat it too, which makes even less sense. Right, because if you buy yourself a piece of cake, you just toss it. Wow, that's a good-looking beer. You only buy it to share it with somebody else. Right. Or give it to somebody else? I don't know. Then again, it's like, why do you say I'm sweating like a pig? Pigs don't sweat. Yeah. Anywho, yeah, anywho. But going back to Sean Payton, you want to successful, I want a successful franchise. But I don't want, but I also want it to be friendly and happy and I want them to answer all my questions. And it doesn't work that way. Well, as long as he's consistent with it, I'm fine with him being an a hole. You know what? After crusty and uncle vik and having the time of my life, coaches over the last 6 years. I'm ready for an a hole. Really? The time of his life. But he needs to be consistent with it. And I'm hoping what it is is like, hey, I got a little loose during the Super Bowl, and I was doing all the TV stuff, and that's what I was being paid for. Now I'm tightening it back up. And if that's the case, great. Awesome. I have heard. And I don't know this, but I have heard that Sean will call the local media guys when they say something that he doesn't agree with, or he thinks it's wrong. You'll get a personal call. I'll give you a little bare bottom of spanking over there. Anyway, do that. January would call you up to the office. I've been plenty of guys on the beat over the years. I'll tell you stories about how they got called to the principal's office. Really? Yeah. You never get cold. I never got called. Could you imagine? If you got called to the principal's office, I just melt. Oh my gosh. You would be so. He a long time ago. I don't remember. I think it was around the time that Trevor price got suspended. Remember that? I don't remember. The whole story, but I asked him a question about it. He gave me the look. Dude, I swear to God. My heart stopped. He has a nearly passed out. He did have that fatherly now your dad could just look at you. Yes. And oh, dude, you're arbel's will be up inside your stomach. Your dad could just look at you with that dad strength. Yes. And just you just knew. You're like, oh shoot, no. Shannon's leaving. He could take grown men like you. And reduce you to whimpering children. Oh, dude, he just give you that look. Oh, he had it down, too. Yeah. I don't know if that. If that's just if that's something you can work on, if that's if she's like, you're either born with it or you're not. Because he just born with it, he had that ability. Gosh. Guys, pigs do sweat. It's called bacon. Oh, now you get me thinking about bacon. It's delicious, just not good. Yeah. Don't make too much of it. Guys, Peyton just was trying not to upstage the nuggets. So that's what, that's what Delta Delta T Nathaniel Hackett and Justin out, we're doing last year. We're going to score a lot of points. Acting like it was a kegger, a rager. Toga toga. Oh yeah. Had a nuggets going out. How'd that work out, yeah. Delicious. Doug delicious. Tug delicious. By the way, fever you holding on to all the Hackett drops, like you held on to all the VJ drops and held onto all the Vic drops. Yeah, they will be stored for good. You never know? We gotta say, we're gonna score myself. I was bullying myself. These are hung young individuals. But hey. But hey, Sean Payton's an a hole. Beyoncé. I love it. Good. You know what we need? You know what we need? We need a coach. It's a little bit of an a hole. Yes. Yes. Because you know this has been a country club for way too long. Yep, yes. It's been in a fear. It has not been enough fear in that building, and I told you, man, I told you, I did that saints game. Somebody came up to me that would know that it's been around forever. Said, Sean Payton walked out of this building, the fear walked out with him. That's our problem. Boom. Point blank done. You need some fear, right? You got in, is it just me you want to share? Oh, yeah. Yeah, I got this. Because this one is highly dubious. Listen to you guys every morning on the fan talking about the nuggets cringe worthy. Malone is equivalent to the Jordan bulls with Doug gods, gray coach, great team, no championships. I is that James Marilyn 'cause that is James Marilyn's take. To the worst. James, come on. Yeah. James Merrill at Kevin Durant style with burner, Twitter handles. Right. Exactly. Yes. Is he Doug Collins? Well, he might be. He might be. And you know what? A year ago at this time, you could wonder whether or not Jared bednar was boy, I don't know. Who's the Doug Collins version of the NHL? Hockey fan will help me out. Just a coach that was good in the regular season. But just couldn't deliver you the chip, right? Well, but bednar proved himself. So yeah, I make no bones about it. That is exactly the spot that Michael Malone is in right now, where Jared bednar was a year ago. It's time. Time to show that you could be a championship coach. So yeah. This is what's up. Michael Jordan was in what year 6 or 7 before he won his first championship?

"Scientific. Stuff. There is really eloquent. You went from clowns and castles to kings, and now just I was looking for scientific stuff. Huge. Some new science stuff. Stuff. We're going to make a volcano. On the text line, look, Deshawn Payton's staff looks like uncle Vic take two with a much better head coach, but we've been here before, so it is hard to get excited until he can beat the chiefs at home and make the playoffs. Okay. Yeah, I mean, that's fair. That's fair. Yeah, I'll give you. I'm here. I'll throw this question out. Yeah. You know how I like to take the temperature of the room from time to time. Correctly, of course. Yes. Speaking of which hurry up. Ask the question, quickly. Let's move on. All right, so I want to take the temperature. Broncos country in lightweight just told you about the reaction that the fans at the nuggets game gave Sean Payton is because you have give me one word to describe where you're at right now with the Broncos. Just one word to describe optimistic. Where you are. You're optimistic. All right. See what else you got out there, 303-713-1043. We got the morning brew coming your way. Mark, of course, is a very fluent in speaking injury. So what is to make of the latest on Gabe land is Scott. And it's always nice to see a bully get punched in the nose and have to take a step back. That was the case yesterday. We'll tell you what happened next. It's time for your morning brew, grab a cup of Joe and get caught up on everything you need to know. If you're schlereth and Evans, while we've come to expect a certain level of excellence from the nuggets, especially at home, and almost taking for granted that even in games in which they are trailing at parts of the game, even maybe trailing going into the fourth quarter. We still expect them to hit the gas and go, but having a one point lead at halftime they came out and got their doors blown off by Chicago in the third quarter and it became a route in the second half and the nuggets go down one 17 to 96. Michael Malone on what went wrong. Just no defense. I mean, we gave up 66 in the paint tonight. We only scored 38. I mean, there's a huge discrepancy in the paint. And all year long, I think we've been a top 5 paint quarantine. So that's a number that can't happen. And then the transition. They just got out and ran, you know, missed shot lay up, turned over, lay up. Only 11 Chernobyl was one for 18 points. And then I think we're up one at halftime. We got off to a decent start in the third, and then it just fell apart. So what is that? Is that fatigue? Is that just a bad night? You just, you know, for whatever reason, it's just a collective funk that the team was in to these things happen over the course of a long 82 game season. Yeah. I think that they do happen, Mike. Like I said, there's a little concern as athleticism and matching the really athletic teams. But more of it is exactly what Michael Malone said, you know, I think not playing great defense. You know, maybe taking maybe taking a team that's not great lightly. The other thing is, are you trying to hoist up three pointers because you're two, three pointers way if you're Murray away and he's one for 7 from three point line and doesn't make that. And it was a foregone conclusion. He's basically saying, yeah, I'm going to go break the all time record. Like you get out of your game a little bit. I think there's, I think there's part of that because he was one for three. I believe from three point land at halftime. Then he's zero for four in the second half. I think you get out of what has gotten you there. But I still, I still, there were times, especially as they were still down 13, 12, 14, trying to get back into the game. Where, especially offensively, they were running their offense like we typically would see them run it, but the shots just wouldn't go down. There'd be fumble passes. They'd throw passes away. It was just, there wasn't just that sharpness that we've become accustomed to with this team. It was just off. And for whatever the reason, but you know what? They have not, of course, the nuggets haven't reached for me the level of trust that I have in the avalanche. Avalanche, have earned it, right? But there's still a healthy amount of trust in this team that until it becomes a thing. I'm not worried about it. I'm just going to blow it off as just one bad night at the office. I'll give you that. Although, you know, that's something that I'll keep an eye on. Keep an eye on. Sure. Sure. It's not a thing, right. Until it becomes a thing. Next on the morning brew. We've got the abs and kings tonight, but first, a Jared bednar update on Gabe Landis gog's knee. My little bit concerned, yeah. I mean, he hasn't played all year. Do I think that he can easily come out of this and be fine? Yeah. I mean, he's putting in the work. So the only time will tell, you still don't. You speak me. You speak injuries. And bednar also revealed some new details that apparently this is not just one surgery that he's coming back from. He had a surgery last march before returning for all 20 postseason games. They had another surgery in October. But now, what we're finding out is that the two surgeries weren't related. So the surgery in March, then the surgery in October were not related. So, doctor schlereth, speculate for me. So are you telling me they're not on the same knee? No, they're on the same knee. But different surgeries. Interesting. Again, I keep going back to, I keep going back to what I, what I had told you, shoot this is about 6 weeks ago, we had this conversation about articular surface of the bone covering of your knee, and if you go in there and think I gave it, we're gonna calm it down. It's gonna be okay. It's almost like a bone bruise, and you go back in and you've worn off that articular surface, then you have to go in and have a microfracture surgery. It takes a long time. And that's one of those things having been through it. I probably had 6 microfracture surgeries on my left knee. And what ends up happening is, you know, you take one step forward and you're like, hey man, I feel pretty good today. And you go out and you press a little bit and then you're limping around for three days. And it's just a hard that microfracture surgery literally was like, there were more setbacks in that process than an ACL. Just because it's just not, it just takes time. So bottom line it for me. Just your gut feeling. I'm just asking you for a gut feeling, but you're well versed on this. You're kind of an expert on it. Just everything you're hearing. Where would you put the odds of gay blandish God returning this season? At. Returning, I would put the odds at. 60%. Just to return just to return. Just a little bit above 50 50. Yeah, okay. And then return and be excellent and be gay blender Scott. 10%. Wow. Okay. Next on the morning brew. Nice to see when the bully acts like a bully and then somebody stands up to the bully and the bully cowers, so yesterday on ESPN's first take, we found out that they're actually still in the hot take world of sports talk. There is still something called accountability as Kendrick Perkins found out. I want to correct something here from yesterday's show. The NBA publicly announces the voters each year, and after a review, it is clear the panel is much more diverse than what was portrayed

Byram scores twice to help Avalanche beat Blues 4-1
"Bowen by rub scores twice in Colorado's four to one win over the blues and enterprise sitter that you have also get a strong performance in net from goaltender used just on an it is first start of the season, which impressed his head coach Jared bednar. Good outing from him. He didn't have a lot of work, but made some saves look easy. You know, they had a couple of high danger chances that we did a nice job keeping the traffic out from in front of him, but he made the saves look good, sharp, set me blade scores for the blues whose three game winning streak ends the day after trading captain Ryan O'Reilly to Toronto. "I disagree. It was not what we expected either the result in the ABS losing or the way this thing played out. It was not up to anyone's expectation, including Jared Bednar's But a couple of things I want to bring up don't feed into the propaganda coming out of Vegas. And I heard Alex portray Angelo last night. After the game spouting this If you listen to the Vegas Golden Knights They are the United States and the avalanche to Russia in this series was Lake Placid. I mean that that's the way Vegas Because they got their tails kicked in Game one they automatically Got this this mentality that they are the prohibitive underdogs. That nobody believes in them. Everybody's doubting them, and it's a trope that is used. In sports all the time. And I don't Progressive them for using it for playing that card. It's a powerful card to play. To get the team to rally. Against a common foe. And this faux being the entire world. At least the hockey world. But that doesn't mean you have to buy into it. Colorado was a better team by one overtime loss. That was the difference between these two teams. One overtime loss. That one overtime loss that the Arabs had against Vegas made their season record against Vegas. 43 and one in Vegas was four and four. That was the difference. So the Avalanche did not lose two little sisters of the poor. This is not, uh, golden Stay over Dallas. This is not the Nuggets over the Sonics. This was in many people's minds. The two best teams, at least in the West. But maybe all of hockey going head to head and yes, they ask for much of this series. We're not up to the task. But again, I ask the question. What about that? Is on. Jared Bednar, other than he's the head coach, and he's responsible for everything. Right? I mean, if that's going to be the reason why he deserves to be fired than I can't argue. With that. Right. If everything that happens on a team has to be the coach's fault, because he's in charge, then Okay, then fire away Joe Sakic. But if you look at what Cause this problem. What would cause the apps to lose this series and then weigh it against what Jared Bednar has done for this organization since he stepped in a few years ago. And you still think that Jared Bednar deserves to be fired then? Then you and I just don't see eye to eye on this subject. Which I know, you know, Really? I'm sure hurt your feelings right that you don't have, Uh, no way Vegas can win for the next five guy disagreeing with you. But there's there's another part of this. That I think is just not being brought up enough. And it's fine if you bring it up and then and then, uh, knock it down. Right, but I haven't even seen people bring it up. In a normal year. This would be the matchup in the Western Conference final. Okay. This was A year where The two best teams in all the West played in the second round, and not the third. And the reason I bring that up is if this series would have played out the exact same way. Don't change the thing. Plays out the exact same way. But it's in the Western Conference finals. Would people be calling for Jaerbyn are to be fired. Because I don't believe they would be. Because it would be a disappointing end to a season where we saw progress, but because of the quirks of the schedule They ended up playing in the second round, and now it looks like the avalanche are stagnating. This team needs a scalpel, not a chainsaw. In firing Jared Ben, are Is taking a chainsaw to this team. And if you're calling for Jared Bernard to be fired, then I think it is the knee jerky ist of all knee jerk reaction. But But if you're set in your mind, and you think Jared Bednar needs to be gone, then I will bring up the easiest question to bring up. Contending that who's better? Who's better? You think Jared Bednar should be fired? Okay? He's fired. Wave magic wand. Jared Bednar is gone. Do you get in to replace him? Who you gained to replace him that you know for a fact. Will give the Avalanche a better chance. You go to a Stanley Cup final than Jared Bednar has given them There aren't a lot of guys on the unemployment line wearing Stanley Cup rings. Okay. Every Stanley Cup winning head coach over the last 10 years is employed. Currently accept Claude Julien. And the thing about Claude Julien is that He only won a Stanley Cup after guess what getting bounced in the second round multiple years. So if you think that Claude Julien is the right guy to bring in because he's won a Stanley Cup Just know that he only won a Stanley Cup because the organization he worked for did not bail on him after multiple early playoff exits. So And then don't forget that Claude Julien was fired this season. By the Montreal Canadians. He was fired and now look at what the Canadians are doing. That's not a great reflection of Claude Julien is ability to lead is it that once he fired the Montreal Canadians take off..

"Ryan Kaufman with you, 5 to 2. 9872 is the number either text or call in your thoughts on the AVS Nuggets. Aaron Rodgers. College football playoff expansion. You know, whatever you want to talk about. It's your show as much as mine if you've seen Loki, let me know. If it's any good, I can't. I've been without the kids all week, so I can't watch. Low key Until they come back. Cause I'm a good father, Daniel. You didn't hear you come in to hear me Talk about Loki. Uh, let's talk about Jared Bednar, because I think that is the biggest question after last night's game is is whether A change needs to be made. In the, uh On the coaching side in order to get the AVS over this second round hump that they seem to be stuck at and and I get it. It's natural to wonder when you see a team underachieve. And either the AVS either underachieved because you thought they would win the series or they under achieved because of the way they lost the series, But either way There was a level of under achievement this year that I acknowledge and I think your mind immediately in sports goes to the head coach and whether that is the position that is, um Is the one that needs to be changed and look as the old saying goes, but it's so true, it's easier to fire the coach than the players, right? Wait. I just have this question and I'm not Trying to lead on this or anything like that. I'm legitimately just throwing out the question. And then I'll give you my thoughts on on the Subject. If you think that Jared Bednar should be gone, What did he do wrong in this series? I'm not saying he's blameless. Top down. Everyone's to blame here. Um, I will blame The Avalanche mascot. Partly for this loss. I will blame everybody. Because this is a blame everybody situation but to go from blame, too. He deserves to be fired. You need to lay out what he did wrong that prevented the Colorado Avalanche from winning this series. Did he take too long to find ways to get his first line away from Vegas First line Maybe. But Vegas had last change last night, and McKinnon and Rantanen did pretty well. So Was that the issue? Was Jared Banner, the one that allowed William Karlsson to rip the puck away from him was that Was that him out on the ice that did that? Did he get suspended for blowing up Justin Falk in the Blue Series? Did he turn over the pocket? On the blue line on Game five. I mean, these are These are the things That we look to On why the Avalanche lost this series and I don't know how much of it Can be attributed to Jared Bednar. This is a guy who since he arrived in Denver, and he arrived without much fanfare. And just for those of you who don't know the story, Patrick Waugh decided to quit. Because he was beefing with his old buddy Joe Sakic about control of the roster, so he just quit. And and That was it. He didn't give advance notice. He didn't. He did it later on in the offseason than you would like, but he just quit and just walked away. And the Avalanche were less scrambling. And there weren't a lot of great candidates and the Avalanche had to look to the A. H. L Or college in order to find their next head coach, and there were two names that really emerged from the beginning. And it was Travis Green, and it was Jared Bednar. Now. Travis Greene did not get the Avalanche job. He ended up in Vancouver. And you've seen how Vancouver seems to have squandered a pretty talented roster. So far in these last couple of years. Certainly this year. Gender. Bender comes in. And ever since he has pushed every right button. This is a team last year. That loss had more man games lost than any other decent team in the NHL. They were able to Keep up a high level of play. While having a revolving door of players because of all the injuries. This is a guy that has been nominated for the Jack Adams. Not today, by the way. Joe Quenneville of the Panthers, the head coach of the wild and I'm gagging on the third guy. Wasn't de Boer, Who's the Oh Rob Brenda more In Carolina. Who by the way, is also Eliminated from the postseason. And so is Joe Quenneville. And so is the guy in Minnesota. So There you go. I don't know that that has any correlation. It just Worth pointing out, I suppose. So this is someone who has been nominated for the Jack Adams that is pressed every right button since he got here. And neither of the last two playoff exits were at all attributed to him. Nobody blame Jared Bednar. These last two years, but he gets blamed for this one. And, uh, blame so much so That very well respected columnist. That iron due respect. I respect Woody Paige. He is a legend. Could not disagree with his latest column in an exempt more I could not disagree More. First of all, if you're going to say heads need to roll, and then you point out Patrik Nemeth and same Gerard, I don't know that that's quite going very far that quite Lines up with heads need to roll. I mean, I guess they are heads that may need to roll, but they're not the most important players. On this roster. But then he brings up Jared Bednar..

"Is going to be released or to leave as a free agent, and so sure he's coming to Denver. Once his time in Green Bay is over. You kind of got a trade for him whenever you can, right. Trade deadline training camp June Draft night. They got to be willing to do that, right? I mean, Vic Fangio says he's not even really judging the quarterback competition. So if he's saying that, as a I'm not going to make a big deal about the fact that Drew lock has looked terrible the last couple of days and 11 on 11, which he absolutely has If he's not going to read into that. Then how much time does he have to actually judge? Teddy Bridgewater and drew lock. To feel confident and where they're at with the quarterback and to say this is a better scenario than bringing in Aaron Rodgers. I just I don't know that that date should exist for the Denver Broncos if the Packers are willing to trade him. You gotta wait. Got to be willing to weigh and you've got to be willing To Trade Forum in a spot that is kind of awkward. Like in the middle of training camp. I think you have to be right. If it tell me 5229872. You know that rocket can as I mentioned back to back to back So far so good. We start our number two by talking some hockey. We are joined right now by the general manager of the Vegas Golden Knights. He was named GM effective September 1st 2019. Previously served as assistant GM. Before joining Vegas. He was owner, governor GM and head coach of the Brandon Wheat Kings, Vegas in Colorado. Living up to all the hype, they're tied up at two games apiece. Vegas is at Colorado this evening. Nine P.m. Eastern Kelly McCrimmon is my guest. Kelly. It's so good to have you on. How are you? Under real good, Jim. Thanks for having me. Thank you for doing it. Kelly. Great Gavea. So Colorado jumped out to a lead in the series. Then you go back home. You beat them two straight. How good did it feel to be back in front of your home fans in that rock his house and to get those two wins. Well, home ice was a big part of it for us in Game three and four. We've gradually increased our capacity throughout the season. Game three was the first that we've been at full capacity, so we were Over 18,000 Bulls Game three and Game four. And when you look at Game three Trailing late in the third period, You know, you have to ask yourself when that one's over. We did come back and score twice in 45 seconds to to have a 32 win. The fans are a big part of that. I don't know that you do that in an empty building or or away from home, so Was great to have, uh, you know, full capacity and in T Mobile. It's a great home rink. Hey, by the way, one interesting point just made and I was gonna ask about the fans. But to that point, I mean, before Game three, Colorado ahead, won six straight playoff games and they had not lost in the post season this year, and they had barely even trailed. They had that lead as you point out in the third period. So what did your guys show you in the way they battled back in the third. Well, we needed. You know, I kept thinking to myself as the third period went on. When they took the lead. We needed somebody to make a play. We needed somebody to make a play. And of course, when you get You know deeper into the playoffs and you're playing really good teams. That's what you need is people to step up when, when needed, and Jonathan Marshall so was able to, uh, tie the game Forest. Johnson's had a great series three goals again the next game and then Shortly after he scored to tie the game the building was, you know, very energized Max Patch already the deflected a nickeled and shot to give us the 32 lead was stood up. As the winner. So, um, you know, somebody to make that play, I think is really what we're looking for. Unfortunately, Jonathan Marshall still was able to do that for us. Kelly McCrimmon joining us exactly right. Like you know, you need somebody make a play. Chances are it's going to be that guy. And the team follows up that game three win with that 5 to 1 win and he had a hat trick in that game. Like how huge was he in that situation? And then what do you make of the way the team performed overall in Game four? Well, we played really well in both. To be honest, we played really well in Game two, which was 32 loss. To Colorado in overtime. Uh, so we wouldn't doubt went home down two games to zero. Obviously, Game three was was a huge win to get us back in the series. Game four was probably our most complete game and in that game, William Carlson's line, So when you look at the makeup of our team, we're in our fourth season. The one uh a lot of things have changed, but the one thing that has been a constant sense. Nobody two or three weeks in the season One was the line of Riley Smith, William Karlsson and Jonathan March facilities. Played together for the most part entirely, all four seasons and their line really performed well in Game two of the game four and, you know, with Marshall shows. Patrick leading the way. Kelly McCrimmon is joining us. Kelly mentioned the fans and I want to get into that because you know what you have, but it's really curious to me to see the way the opposition always reacts to it as an example, Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar said after the game quote, it's allowed. It's hard to hear anything in there. You can tell by my voice just talking on the bench. Just trying to call the next line. I'm losing my voice. There's a lot of noise in that building, and the reason I mentioned that is you don't have one of the best fan bases in hockey. You have one of the best fan bases to me in all of sports. And when you consider the relationship the team has with the community. It becomes even stronger. Like how would you describe that relationship and the lift that everybody gets from that crowd? Well, I think you've you've touched on it. It is just incredible. And, uh, it's unique. I've been in lots of loud buildings, but just the the energy and the atmosphere and the party feel the vibe. That comes out of our building. It's it's really intimate. The way that the building is built. It's tight. It's 17,000. 500 person seating capacity than with standing room puts us over 18. But they're on top of you and and they come to enjoy the game, and it's it's interesting. Will oftentimes get found from the visiting team and our fans enjoy those people. You know, they treat them well, which I don't think always happened when fans go on the road, but it's just really Really good energy in the building. And to Jerry. Better point you You couldn't talk to the guy beside you. It was It was that loud in there, and, uh, you know, again, we rode that and that gives our team energy as you'd expect. We're talking about Kelly McCrimmon. Of course, I want to ask you about Mark Stone. He was doing the first captain in team history. I know that That's not a decision. That was made lightly. And in fact, the team and had a lot of success without an official captain. So why was it important to give him the C and what kind of an impact have you noticed as a result? Well, we had gone without a captain the first three seasons and you know that was a little bit. Almost the identity of our team in the early stages was, you know, we had 23 captains players from all across The National Hockey League that were pushed the curve by the existing team that came Was something to prove, and and and it seemed to really be a good dynamic in a good way to have the leadership of those early teens forms. Derek England, obviously was Huge part of our leadership group in the three years that he played, and it was working. I think we could have easily continued that way. But sometimes when you've got a guy you feel is the obvious guy. I think that you need to To validate that person and mark is really grown in the role. We expected that he would. He's a player. That's Very passionate. No leads by example. And yet it's very humble. And I didn't You know, I think he'd put his own boundaries on what level of leadership he could provide, wearing an a.

"All right. Last night came out with the L pretty much, uh to and four Not good. Good for me. Nuggets cover That was good. The under hit Now gets one and the under hit, which like never happens. And then Steph Curry scored about 17 points in two minutes to start the game and then From there he goes on to score 35. I had him on the under. Just proof that Steph Curry has very little support. Can score 35. Warriors still get be pretty good, but the Nuggets did cover, so that was good. I also had two other MBA picks. Indiana went into Portland and one Berlin, one of the hottest teams in the MBA right now. They couldn't cover. In fact, they got blown out and now monarch is out again. My hornets covered My Hornets. The mellow Gordon Hayward and company Covered against the Raptors. So overall 99 the great knight So this week hasn't been awesome for me, but you know you keep grinding away. You just do the best you can, Because pretty soon your luck's going to turn and I feel With the ABS. I am. The Abbe's blame 1.5, which is what hockey lines are One team minus 1.5. No, thank you. Well, I do my hockey betting on the Moneyline. Thank you very much. ABS minus 1 50 favorites against the ST Louis Blues tonight. Hammering the ABS. No way they start off owing to Jared Bedding are basically toward them. A new a new You know what His level and enthusiasm and energy did not get above this the other night, But you could tell that he was upset. Yeah, with Jerry. Ben, are you got listen to his words. You're been are called his team out the other night. Just that Jared Bednar calling out his team doesn't sound like Most like John Tortorella calling out his team. Not pleased. So I think the AVS bounced back tonight. I'm gonna take him to win. I'm doing it. ABS minus 1 50. The over under its six I Don't like it on right. I think I'm gonna leave the over under long. Believe it'll. Ah, I'm gonna leave it alone. Yeah. So who will be the goal scorer tonight? Against the ST Louis Blues had Nathan McKinnon the other night that didn't work out. Andre Birkhoff. Ski is usually one of my favorite players to bet on. He's come through a couple of times for me. Uh, who who? Who? You can hear the favorite of course. Nathan MacKinnon Plus 1 20 rancid. It's plus 1 90 Qadri plus 200 Landeskog plus 200. You What? How about Nazem contrary? Awesome conjuring last year. When things were down. He was the guy to lift up the ABSO. Let's do that. Let's take the ABS to win and in a separate bed, let's do not some contrary. ABS gold psychic. So those who are too bad sound make Alice minus 1 50, contrary to score a goal Now for the weekend in the NFL. I'll tell you this. Love. The dogs love the underdogs. This weekend. Do I really do? Because I think the favorites that I believe when are being favored by too much. And a couple of underdogs, I think might be able to pull off, not just cover but might win. So it is with that. Let's start Rams and green Bages the game we're talking about Rams. 6.5 Point underdogs. 6.5 point underdogs. Actually, you know what it can be all all the dogs can't cover this weekend, right? All of them. Can't somebody somebody's not Going to, uh, cover. I'll take this one. I'll say Green Bay beats Alibi ELISA Touchdown That way. I can we said took one favorite. So I'm gonna go Green Bay. Minus 6.5. And then the rest away. I'm taking the underdogs. I think Cleveland is going to be able to hang with Kansas City. And Kansas City right now, or 10 point favorites. Chief play a lot of close games. You heard Joe Valerio night talking about that last hour. Kansas City wins a lot of close games. And I think Cleveland went the emotional high that they're on. I think they're going to give Kansas City run. I'll take Cleveland plus Plus the 10. May even see if the action Right now. It's It's moved A half a point in Kansas City's direction opened at Chiefs minus 9.5. May wait and see up until Sunday if the line moves further in Kansas City's favor and then jump on Cleveland. If it stays at 10. It stays at double digits. I like.
