"Noreen Dewolf. Those were the initial. Katie ASELTON initial women who? Who did something really brave which was rate check. of of their hard earned money and they take a and I I still take that very seriously because. Without that we couldn't have started and so that's the other thing I just want to. I Want Neil G to to answer this question but I'll say to end. To end their. Women pudding their resources behind other women and it's not always financial. I'm trained the to sort of decolonize my addiction to capitalism. It is certainly not always financial but those are incredibly important resources and they really were at the very beginning and helping us grow I'm sorry forgot to women those are take Natarajan Stephanie. who also were part of that original group of women who who said. I believe in this idea that motherhood and caretaking should be centered and supported and I will use the money I've earned and I will pass it along to another woman to create something for more women and. I I'm really at that overwhelms me and I think about them every day. Most. Beautiful. Yeah I mean I normally in this show is named my mom. But since you named her already, I'm going to name my twenty. I'm Rita. Because I, love her and she's amazing passed. And I'm there's so much and. You know when I think about my path Towards justice, it can be lonely at times. It can be difficult but I've always had that they're so any moment when I'm really really struggling where I'm I. I'm in moments where I'm about to get off the Patt- or I think I'm not strong enough where I can't take the criticism where I can't take the loneliness any of that she's been there and said you're doing all right stay strong keep on. "Helping my dad with our family business and honored to be able to do that and and. So it's it's complicated. 'cause when I think of myself I, do have daydreams of one day really doing being the chief Equity Inclusion Officer full-time chief, Diversity Equity Inclusion officer but. Then, I also have daydreams of supporting my family and my community which includes my father. So I think the the the big probably theme of both of those visions or daydreams is. An y'all both know this that ten of charity gala from Saiki of just being hopeful and which not in a way. That's kind of superficial but really holding the darkness and. and. Believing in the light. and. So I think that like you know no matter what I do whether that's working for POPs or maybe one day doing this work fulltime that I hope that in in both of those scenarios and holding on to Mlive, living and Breeding Jessica. The. Co. Wonderful you are. Do you, say Tardy. Carla has changed my life. Thank you for sharing that wisdom with us. I was going to say it's changed my too and actually as we approach November I've really had to check in with that idea of point optimism and it's been hard at times during these last few months but it is such a beautiful freeze on I. Think Neil Gede Jeet Smother Dr Dhaliwal for bringing it to all of us because it really it really It I've called on it. A number of times i. saw hope you have some questions for each other which will use our last question but I will I will say. That My next big thing I. I. Think honestly. I think I'm in it. I. Don't I think I'm I feel really. I feel that I'm in. On purpose, and so I'm very grateful for that and I don't I'm not wanting for. Ya. I'm not wanting for the next big thing. That's incredible. That's have to end the off. But I can't. I can't connect to any ambition right now mike all I think this is actually what I've always wanted to do I. Think I am doing it And being paid in areas to do it and and then not only being people being able to invest in areas that I want to invest in like the Jane. Club. So the that that. Is Nice to sit with for a second. but do you have any questions for each other before we wrap up? Well. I do have a question. You just kind of reminded me of because you named my Mama which I love that you did that. But I wonder if we could each name a woman who is guided US and brought us to this moment. In gratitude. Well. That's easy for me I'm GonNa name the both of you Oh Shanta. It's true you reach out of very I thought I was too old to have any more profound moments in my life but little did I realize that you and Diane would be there to really open up sort of not even like the next to the next phase of my life which has been much like I'm on target like I'm living in my purpose, which is a gift and I will say again, view both of your work. Trying to think of the not even the nicest way to say it but the easiest way to say this as a black woman having worked a lot of places with a lot of different people this particular experience I'm grateful that your friendship yielded June to June your friendship Neil g yielded are coming to the club could has been a profound transformation to work in an environment. Again, it's not about getting it right or perfect. We are just humans so that's not going to happen. So I'll just stay for any startups or anyone even looking when you offer this your staff, your community. It sends a message shares an intention in an allows for something that does not come through at least I've not had the experience to ever come through before it is turned me into a different kind of person, a different kind of employees a different kind of woman the things that I'm learning here the Jane. Club I'm actually able to pass along and move through in my life. I've gotten that from both of you my relationship with white women again, June Diane being my favorite one. It has helped me. Sorry there are so many of us. Oh God, I, hope you do better this election fifty, three percent for I seriously I expect all white ladies listening to this rate now to call up all the other white ladies that you and your family members and have a start to have some conversations. November is coming sorry Shawn to go on. Thank you for that, but it is been really again transformational to be able to. Engage in that kind of conversation and honesty. When you say that you stand in feedback that's not lip service you stand in feedback even when it's tough. And that in itself does something and Neilan jeep is there to guide US and again last night at the Jane Club. We had a conversation on DIGITAL BLACK FACE THAT WE CO facilitated not easy for me to talk about the ways that I feel to humanize degraded her all of the things and I. was grateful to be asked and didn't hesitate to step into that space because as you said so eloquently, June, there is some joy saying naming, what is the process that we've learned here alternately leaves us freedom on the other end, which is not something I have enjoyed before. So again, I cannot stress enough if anyone is listening and thinking about having a DA officer if you want to be the just relationship with the people that work for you especially, obviously people of color I can't stress it enough. It makes all the difference. So I think both of you for changing my life profoundly. I mean Santa I don't know if I can I don't know if I can go back and. Live with it king. Yeah, I mean of folks that have not paid these women. To have this conversation and I I just know that they're they. Again worse. Startup. They should be paid both of them. But they are here giving of their time I did not pay them to do now for the Jane Club this is this is the way we feel about it warts and all and I don't want to discount all of the. Hard moments we've had and the growth edges that have been so real and. And the yet yeah we're still here and I'm really amazed by that and. And actually. So the the women I want I'm going to name a few women. Who've profoundly changed my life and those are the women who initially financially invested in the gene clubs so that we could open up our incubator space and those women are Casey Wilson coal-lease Aaron Drake Lee Naomi Scott Club Zach.

"Should come as no surprise. But I think that when you when you started, it should be there. So you institutionalize it from the beginning it it shapes every decision you make and guides those. Really, kind of critical Foundational pieces of the business. So. I mean I. Don't think it's something that is cost prohibitive I think that it's I think there's a lot of fear around getting it wrong and so people say well, I don't WanNa, get it wrong. So I'm just not going to do it or. it's what's what's more important is the kind of bottom line or growing the business and so equity and justice or Diversey inequity or whatever Lens you want to give it a title kind of takes a back seat to these other kind of bigger issues whether it's fundraising or. Membership. But. I think when you infuse it into all of that. It. It it just it grows the business. With justice being centered I think that when you center this work, it becomes a bit of your North Star and guides you in making decisions that that. Really focused on the well being of people versus the bottom line. So. Yeah. I think that we've done that a few times where we've said, yeah, this is This is not about the dollars this about what's best for Justice Yes we have and also you know I think the. Lesson. For me in the work of pursuing justice has been about building my capacity to fell into stand in feedback Into, not collapse around the conversation of race to knock collapse around the conversation of where white supremacy resides in both the club in myself and and I will say although a lot of that investigation which is ongoing has been painful hard and all of those things it has also. been a source of joy and. A that work in that education for me has been. Heart opening and. I've got a lot of it's been a collectivist education with the women around me and you both. And there's been a lot of joy attached to my say that because they think for many white women listening to this right now, they might sometimes entering in to those spaces can feel very. Scary and Heart Am. I don't want down play how how yet it does take courage to confront where where this stuff is in our bodies in our lives and our children everywhere. But also. There's joy and freedom in the process. And to add to that. You know in terms of that role within the organization I think it's really important that that role is infused with power and the ability to make decisions and so I think that is something that I have at the Jane Club that I can bring whatever programming I choose that I can kind of you know. Really, make some pretty strong decisions and I have a have a good deal of. Kind of. Positional. Authority to do that, which I think really sets this apart from how I've seen this position in most of my other professional spaces where it's almost always kind of like an advisory role. And when it comes to making really substantive. Changes these positions are empowered to do so and I really think that's Kinda sets sets this role apart at least in my own experience. Oh I, just I i. hope that the listeners here that and if they decide to have this kind of role within the organization that you give this person power and you give them the tools and the skills to really make some changes but I did want to before we wrap up. Ask you both to talk a bit about where you want to go beyond the club. What's the dream of dreams beyond the work that we're doing here? I mean, well, we're just stay with me forever. I mean I know jokes about it in the beginning. Honestly listeners I'm very secure a dope leave. And I know they're going to get scooped up but I. Can't keep them. If anyone needs them come take but I there have been so foundational in building this And I know I've I've taken up a lot of the airtime with my enormous celebrity at I love being so famous. Get me wrong but. Truly. SHUNT. Have have created this space and but I I would love them to talk a bit about what they're. They're Dream next thing is. Because by the way, that is my hope for the club, which is at everybody who comes in it's used as a pipeline for their next big thing, and that includes our team and includes every Jane who's in there that includes our employees I'll start by saying I was very surprised. Again, I've mentioned all I did was sort of show up to get a job during programming and some meditation and Willie received a great deal more and although I am clearly on the side of. An employee and not a member. I still get the benefits of what happens to you at the Jane Club again that support and that community in that incubation for your ideas and people to run them by all of that I would say that my next again, I feel like I have like blossomed into a bladder butterfly myself in the time that I've been at the club and received a lot of clarity about what it is that I, wanted to do. So following along again with my sort of Buddhist Meditation Life I would like to have my own center where people can come and meditate and by that I mean opening the doors to those who are either kept. Out For financial reasons, people who've just not been exposed to it. people certainly like they can't do it or it's not accessible. Meditation has saved my life saved it. It is turned me into a different someone who can listen when you talk. That's because meditated. It is done something really profound than in my own. Again, my own sort of heartbeat would be with those particularly women of color who have perhaps disordered eating come from trauma background something that I can really speak to again I find that this tool is invaluable and I feel like it's part of my life's mission to bring it to spread it and to give it to those who desperately need it I would love to be. The head of a community that can provide that and a lot of that again has come from my work at the Jane Club. So much of it has come from the Jane Club I'm so grateful. So grateful for it. Love hearing Nachon to. Yeah. I'm thinking about my next thing to, but Neelam G I was actually going to say. June. Love to hear what your night's big thing is I wanted to add one other thing too. For Shanta I think she's passed one of the most Compassionate people I've ever met. So enchanted I'll just wait for your compliment of me when. I'm heading ready. Again. We can edit stuff in later we need to do So I. Think. This is this is such a question and it's a very hard question for me right now because as you both know, my life is in a bit of flux. Think. My parents had done so much for me in my life and. They've never asked anything of me and my dad asked for me to help him and so I'm here..

"Just on. They're everywhere your favorite, White Lady. June. Everywhere. They really are. There's honestly like sometimes there's too many of them. White ladies they seem to be everywhere. It is sh remakes and I can. Go for days talking about the new Julian fellowes. anyways. I digress. So I think truthfully what I'll say the what drew me to drink club was my friendship with you and we met at Sierra and I think what? You know to the honest when I joined that space did know is very white. But what what made me want to stay was meeting a group of women that was very committed to justice and. Really willing to examine. The ways in which they uphold. Systemic racism and finding a pathway to justice that was a daily practice, which is something I. Definitely. Felt in my relationship early on with you. And so I think that's also drew me to the Jane Club, and then a big draw was also meeting. Sean Tower. if you know if this hasn't been communicated enough, she's amazing. But Yeah I mean I think here's the thing. Like for me. Any place you can go has work to do towards just seeking justice, and for me, the question is not necessarily like I. Don't believe that it's possible to be in a place that is. Devoid of harm. But what I am seeking is a place that's always committed to finding justice when harm is caused, and that is something that I think is central to the gym club And I think even central to my relationship with you that we have been able to have difficult conversations around race. On systemic oppression and. Hold that tension and grow from a and seek dresses. Yes I The work that brought the club has changed my life truly and I know that a lot of people feel that way I mean both of you have changed lives and I, know our listeners it sounds like I'm describing the Colt and. That's not untrue. It's true. A little true. It's honestly is a little bit true and I don't ask people to sleep with me but. It's also not discouraged. occurred. To describe Shawna's work in what it means to build community connect people. Allow people to. Authentic to show up, you know I was thinking about this the other day thinking about like, wow, this is a space. Cares more about how you are than what you do That is asking people to show up in the mess of their lives and also space that's asking people to stretch. Themselves and I know Sean to you're able to lead so much of our programming and the hold space for people and and sometimes I I have a hard time describing what it is you do or how you do that could you help us understand a bit? What it is to. To hold space for people and to create an environment where. People feel valued and people feel seen but also. But also feel the comfort of knowing that the spaces is going to be brave and facilitated and that we are holding ourselves accountable. My goodness I feel like I carry that a little message Everette going played for people before they meet me. I. Sound like a really interesting. that's really very kind. I'm all joking aside, I'd have to say you know. And I don't mean to downplay because I really do. Not only do I enjoy the work that I do with the Jane Club I find that it really serves. A specific purpose for me I like to think of my I live my life intentionally as someone who is of service to those around them my on my cell I my community, and those around me you know and it just keeps growing and growing and growing but I have to say I have found that really what I feel like what I do is and I say this quite often my meet new members I am not A. I'm none of those kinds of things nor do I hold myself out as one when I m someone who has? Two particular characteristics that really make this kind of work work for me one I'm a really active listener. Pay Attention. When you're talking to me, I don't look behind you in front of you nothing. I'm just paying attention and listening to you. I'm not waiting for the opportunity to talk I'm not going to get ready to try to dissuade you from what your saying. I just want to hear what your point of view and I don't even have to agree with it. And the other hand. Shakes practice I'm a real chatty Gal even though I'm an introvert, I'm a chatty Gal. So if I feel comfortable, I just want to control the conversation and quite honestly my favorite thing in life is being right. I've had to really let that go. and. The other thing is I have a really wanted to. I've got empathy I mean it's not a joke and I know that it can feel very empty. Do Seiichi who don't know you very well even upon meeting you actually care about your experience what's happening to you in that is true. I. Don't know why. I like that idea I actually just happened to care about what people say and how they feel so. Even if I can't relate to your pet that has just passed away and you're telling me about how you bet I don't have ever owned a cat or a dog I've never owned one. But what I do know is what loss feels like I know what grief feels like and so I'm able to come to you and say, how is your heart today? Encourage you if you're willing again respecting your boundaries and your sense of confidentiality hey join our genes to Jane's our weekly rotating support group this week it's about grief next week. It's about being single during cove it the week after it's about getting back to work or back to school. I care about how people feel. Um and I think the Important simple as that. Is that I care and the Jane's thank you when they come in and I think they sort of stand they get the flow of how we do things there. I think I have seen people share stunningly private information and be invalid by the community, and that's where the magic is. This becomes a place that you can turn where people care about you and support you and it may. Be The only time in your day that someone is asking you for something requiring you to do something for them as June Diane says, we are the place that takes care of the person who's taking care of everyone else when you come to the Jane Club we and I as the chief community engagement officer I am here to take care of you and I take that very seriously. And one of the things are able to do Shanta is also by by having such a close connection with the community I've seen you then be able to curate the programming based on what you are hearing and listening to, and then you're able to build out an entire series because of what you into it and understand the community needs and that's really really powerful. Neal M. G. I want to ask you for so many of our listeners who who who might have started of their own, who might want to start a business a An organization and think Oh that that equity in diversity part is going to come when we're established that piece of it is going to get locked in 'cause. This is honestly think what I thought that we weren't somehow successful enough. To require this that we weren't in a position yet to bring someone who? Is as qualified as you are on to lead this. On. That you know kind of C. Suite level and so can you talk a little bit about what it is to enter an organization and and I'm curious I'm just simply curious to do. You have thoughts on on equity and inclusion and diversity in the startup world and when it should be introduced I, mean I think I, know the answer but do you have any thoughts on it Yeah. I mean like towards the end. No I mean, you.

"This. Day. Hello people of Earth. I have taken the microphone today from Mr. Paul Scheer to takeover this. How did this get made many episode as you all know, don't traffic in the Minis I've only come on a mini. Few Times to talk about things that I really do care about. I. Don't know what a regular mini sounds like. I don't know what Jason Paul up to on their minis and to be quite honest. I, don't care to know. But today I'm here on many talking with two incredible women who I have had the honor of knowing working with and creating a business with over the last few years you may have heard me mention once or twice the community I co founded the Jane Club. But until now I have kept these two women out of the spotlight out of fear that once people know about them, their careers would skyrocket and they would leave the startup life. For the compensation and dignity of Fortune Five Hundred Company and I will introduce these phenomenal women in one moment but I wanna start out this mini the way we start out all of our gatherings at chain. How did this get made listeners? My name is June my pronouns are she her hers and I want to start our conversation today by acknowledging the traditional custodians of the land upon which I am on in my home, the tongue tribe and their elders past and present, and as so many of our listeners are listening folding their laundry on with their dogs all over this country I want. To, acknowledge the traditional custodians of this country, the indigenous peoples in their elders past and present. I also WANNA name that today my highest intention is that my words and language do not cause harm to my guests or to those listening in and I will be holding that intention throughout this conversation and I will also stand in feedback if I fall short of those intentions I just laid out. For those of you, how did this get made listeners who do not know what the Jane Club is? Leave. Just, sign off right now. No I'm only kidding of course we are a curated community platform that offers live gatherings social connection that is educational inspirational and transformative, and our mission is to take care of the women who take care of everything else and we define women as all of those who identify as women. We recognize the paid and unpaid Labor that women do how undervalued our time is and how many spaces we hold in our lives. So taking their time right now to share with our, how did this get made? Community is no small thing to me. I am so honored that our chief community engagement officer Shanta Valdez, and our chief diversity equity and inclusion officer. Neal, Dhaliwal have agreed to be on a mini episode for a podcast about bad movies what welcome Neil indeed and Shawna I'm so happy to have you here with me. Hi Jim. Thanks for having us. What a thrill high nil mgh low I'm excited. Delighted to be here. This is the thrill of a lifetime will I would love to start off with you shot up looking back on it all e new I. This is the first I mean I don't know maybe a life a life pursuing an acting career is a startup in general, but this is the first startup that I've ever worked on And because you've been there from the beginning, we've made so many mistakes. And and we've done so many things well as you look back to where we are now and just so our listeners know we have converted completely into the digital space since March we are. Now we now have jeans and over thirty four states and counting hour by hour and four countries and we have been able to unbelievably grow and expand during this time which has been so exciting. But Shanta as you look back on it all what are the things that you feel we've done well, and what are the things you look back on and think, Oh, we should have fixed that or we shouldn't have done that. I was ask for little bit of feedback classic. I have to be honest I don't know that I think there is I don't know that there is anything that we haven't done. Well, one of the things that I love the a phrase that you introduced me to is that sometimes we are flying the airplane while we are building it. Anything it's exhausting. But I will say if anything I think that we didn't I don't know how we could have anticipated how needed that we would be what a spot the chain club fills in people's lives I was the first one who was a complete skeptic and as you diagnose I'm the first one to always put on a frowny face whenever anything new gets introduced because things I'm not a believer in anything change and I was thinking things you like say. Exactly yeah same same and when we met and we knew that we would be moving on to a digital community I had nothing. But doubts I didn't have any idea of how. To I didn't know how we would be able to translate the feeling of being in the Jane Club through a computer screen that didn't seem possible to me that feels like very one on one personal relationship but I will say like every other area of my life I was completely wrong. I was wrong. Not only again is it possible? The things that I think again that we have going us is well. You've picked a stellar team Neilan Geeta included. We have real dedicated people on our executive team people who are passionate about what the Jank has to offer what our missions are, what our guidelines we have everyone. WHO's here is here by choice certainly not by force and I, think that says a lot for it right there. We are tireless and I remember those as I call them a salad days when we started. It was a lot of hard work and not quite sure what we're doing. So as we transition into the digital space to meet with sort of that feeling all over again, it's we circle the wagons. Oh, money transitions. So many transitions and I think that we have not just kept against stepped up our programming I. think it is so varied I. Think it speaks you introverts, extroverts, writers, performers, Comedians, people who are shy. People who are not doing great identify as shy. Sometimes. Hard for people but I, I am. Person, so. You say that you claim to be an nature for. Sean I was just I spent the first six years of my life like peeking out from behind my mother's skirt like just viewing the world's like through a pleat. I identify as a shy girl to Mike that's. My inner Yeah that's that's who I actually am. And I work against that really hard but that's actually who I am. will so many transitions so many so many lessons along the way I mean I remember just thinking about being. a startup and at one point someone who is on our team someone asked me like Oh. Can you just send this kid can't? Answer that question and I was like, billy, who's billing that's you then I and then I sit to. CEO's I. think that's us. Like. God, what I wouldn't give for billing department. But speaking of startups the importance of. Infrastructure and sort of corporate infrastructure and integrity early on. Having Chief Diversity Equity Inclusion Officer. On board start up in the early days is not very common and Neelam Gee I. You have not only you have not only gotten our company into shape and gotten our minds, right? I'm all the mistakes we were making an all of the ways in which white supremacy was functioning within the gene club. And and helped us be able to name that and look at that you have also Gosh, you have changed the mission of the club..

"You cited her movie. The sequel was was the movie you cited. Eight. This is because I've been. This is because I am forced to do a podcast about bad movies and we covered. Looking to you and it's truly changed. My brain is now fried from how to get made like I. Don't have any references for good clear like Oh. What was that one about? I don't have any example. I think the Jane Club is a good cold if it is and I would have joined nexium in hot fucking second and I'm afraid I'm afraid I would have been the Gal and this is unfortunate the Gal that leads us through most of it and you can tell she's upset that she wasn't asked into the sexual side of things. I was surprised. She wasn't I'm very. Absolutely. Doing. His marriage didn't nippy now nippy. I'm also attracted to her husband Nippy as am I, but my I mean nippy is Kinda real star this thing but I do feel there's some sadness on our part. She's like I got that Man Brandon and my vagina, and he'd even make an overture at one of those volleyball games. Volleyball. Jessica you got. I can't why it's Dark In a cage or anything. Now June, you make us get Jane branded. On our. Lit Cj see. I'm a guy guys. Let's segue right dash because I don't want to take a ton of your time. But last week we found we're not timely but we found out that they were pulling the plug and it was interesting that they announced it on Kinney's instagram. It wasn't like the whole family released something I think they were like, look your sex tape launched us and you'll bring us out and you'll. And you'll took us into this world and you'll take us out. We're was everybody when the news came in. Well, I know we were all on route chat because I got super angry I thought it was a joke. You guys were writing all like r.i.p the Kardashians and I wrote like you know what? It's one of my favorite shows you guys always have me on bitch sessions like dancing monkey. No about. This And I actually know lots about the Kardashians. No one's never knew this. Never knew this ever knew this? Were you embarrassed you never asked Ethel. Good. You've already you guys think I'm on my high and mighty when I first came to Los Angeles and I was living sleeping and Jessica champions walk in closet on Arrowhead bed with a hole in it I would watch crashes obsessively. It was very comforting to me they I watched it so much that I thought about them in my off hours which I guess you guys are about the housewives, but I think about them all that's right. I will say this I am closer emotionally to the Kardashians than I have been to any housewife. Turned to them, I wanNA hear your origin story to Casey but Casey turned me onto them because when we were shooting asks backwards. Albany yeah. Albany Shit. I'm sorry. But some someone did say to me on the group Chat Agenda Caveat yesterday and I was laughing so hard. They're like never trust a colt. Headquarters are in Albany. New York. Albany. That whole. It's such a Shithole. Oh my God apologies to Leeann. Yes no disrespect except all the disrespect right get out get out of there. You're not in. Yet out. Colt stay but if you're holly. Alcyone shooting ass backwards, and every single day were basically. Thought the movie was GonNa, shut down it, and then it did. So I'm the camera we. Took our message they lie. Absolutely. and. Then we spent two years trying to raise money to finish the last four days in the movie but while that was happening and then I lost twenty pounds in between. So through the movie, My weight fluctuates. And I gained ten when we went back. Word. So we were shooting that movie and staying in. Hotel that they put us in and Casey was like I got pink guy the first night we were there. On the ER soaking. Ended up, going to like literally the first morning of shooting I- cameras up Casey arrived with guy so. This movie was a cursed Sir I was. So miserable policy in La. It was such a scary time and Casey said again, she wouldn't stay in the hotel with me because she went to a much more expensive luxury suites don't laugh or as luxury as Albany can do. Don't feel too upset. But it was called the garden or something I was like, Oh, I wish I. could be there I was literally the walls in the hotel room I was staying and we're like cement blocks. Was So grim and. Casey said to me. You should start watching the Kardashians and I downloaded the first episode and I spent that entire shoot every night I would come back and watch episodes of the Kardashians and it was such a bomb during session difficult time because they're all together no matter what there's they've got each other you from a big family. June of sisters you know and I might be my mother had fourteen brothers and sisters, seven sisters like I always longed for that. If you if our friends could all live on a cul de sac, like jake it, I would to my biggest fear is the along Nana occultist sack A. Failed in. You know I'm trying to get everyone he I don't know if you guys know this right now but I'm recording this from Scottsdale Arizona what yes. I've left L. A. for the week to just get out and like. "Was so strange and then the other choices. So I'm not on this is not on the pill just so everyone knows and. I know you like to ask every guest. Should. Attorney. With that I was asked Jane. Fonda. When she was. But. But I have birth control because I was on it at one point and they had taken the birth control, which again I don't even know where they found it because it has been like tucked away in some toiletry bag that had never opened. They had taken the birth control and placed it on the bedside table. Sweetie Forgot something. You only have two bedrooms. There were just so many strange traces and policy such a neat freak and was so disturbed. So anyway, I don't know if you had anyone help with this but looking back in retrospect. Done the move ourselves. Movers but you know all of this is just they helped me some things and but now I can't find myself aware so I lost. This is wonderful. Thank you for being here. I really love her. She's a horrible person. Of course I disagree. I like Archie which is L. is my star when Giselle said from one man's mouth to another man's ends asked that's all really good. Don't you feel like Giselle and her daughters are having so much fun such as seems like a fun and also excuse me when her daughter was honest with her Giselle took that in and to her it was so beautiful I thought when she was like I don't feel like I'm getting the attention and she's like okay well. Let's have our special time. Yeah beautiful beautiful think Giselle is going to launch a baking line or some sorta cookie it does hurtling towards bringing cookies to everyone feels like something's brew dare. I didn't realize having stepped away from Potomac for a little while and coming back how many of them are pursuing professional careers as singers well okay so monique has gallery past week is in the podcast booth and she says the the engineer like let's bring up the base in my voice. I I'd like to say that bears Devon's gone. I see those teddy bear. He's he's waiting with food in his mouth on the phone ring. I like this getting wax. I gotta go. He's like I want a respectful move. AH laying down. He's left the bills. Let's move on to New York as we're you know we're getting we're gathering into the end. We're going to let everyone go home and talk about New York. The third in the reunion as many of you heard we could not discuss this last week because is yeah. We couldn't even do the podcast because it stopped and started so many times we had to just fill time and everything was terrible. Yes so oh last week we had the Countess and when we found out that she was going to be in Chicago she wasn't going to be in Chicago. There was many different in Chicago. The musical came out not who city the music she was going to be in it and then she wasn't in a mate astern. They said we didn't and then they came out this this week. We saw the statement from Chicago's News that the invitation so it was real it was going to be in Chicago L.. Musical on Broadway not even just like the Guy Lauderdale Dinner Theatre but Chicago on Broadway. It's been around for quite some time. Now of the haven't gotten invitation. I can't say it feels like they'll again. We're wondering is she going to be Mama Morton or okay so that's like she's coming out with one big number Bor as my Queen Latifah was in the movie but that role I mean Queen Latifah was nominated for an Oscar for that course small Paul beans you know but it's in the realm of Chicago. It's a small role. Yes smaller role candy has done it but Candy Zing Niimi has done on it. Period has has a personality anything last words about New York. Lou and we'll be back act no of course we'll she upgraded. I don't think so you end up. She'll go. She'll go back down. Athletic site is still not turned turned off from from illuminating Daniels Wax. I will tell you I did go into a hundred instagram wormhole with looms uh-huh niece. What did you find out Prato? She's suffering from a region eating disorder. There's the other way around it. We need to applaud applying truth. Yes it's the woman is okay. That's that's true as well. These things are true. She's suffering from a raging eating disorder that has plagued her for for her lifetime and her daughter is now very publicly suffering from one as well and that connection I truly believe is is too much for her to bear and it's why we're we're not seeing an authentic version of herself. Because how could we because for heard it to admit mid the cheese struggles with her weight is. I don't think when she said maybe I do. It was the closest she's ever come obtain. "I disagree. I think you'll e.. Casey she lost her brother and her mother within a year. Do you think that she sold that story to radar online. Oh of course so. Do you think that someone who is in grief should be up. I mean I'm appreciative that she is producing the show. I've always said that like I need her to be producing the show but then to not to to not show up mean mean Jerry. You know what I'm saying is. They seem to be saying to her. We see your grief and yet were shocked that you're behaving in the way that you're behaving but that's what they did with Camille as well. They're like yeah we know your house burned down and we're so sorry but how fucking dare you and it's like what but can't we understand. I don't know ah the answer the answer there but I guess what I'm saying is there they have no leash for people who who are struggling ogling through something and I find the whole treatment of grief on the show to be so strange and from Erica gene to when Lisa brought that up to her about the no she wrote and Erica was offended. That is so offensive to say that your note isn't good enough. Okay it was of course it was wrong but I guess what I'm saying is this person is this grieving and is making wrong decisions. They are in a place in their lives where everything's wrong. The note hit her in a wrong way and the fact that none of these women have any sympathy for that of course she's acting out and she said something about the note that was that offended Erica but they say that they appreciate her grief. They say that they understand. She's grieving and yet they don't WanNa see any of the ways in which people actually grieve doc scattered applause. It's okay wasn't oh. Gals people have an experience major grief in their life and I'm happy for you. All I really am. I don't regret you why we'll see this way that she grieves looks a lot like the way that she lives. Wow I'm going to take a step but I think that's right Danielle which is that she is very attacking. She holds herself above everyone it's hard to she won't really be vulnerable so it's hard to to kind of simple. It's not that it's hard to sympathize. She won't let you grieve with I totally agree but if if someone I knew and cared about was had had suffered that major major loss I would not join a group of six six women in turning against her in that moment in her life. I find that to be reprehensible. Let me ask you if you were to read though Okay and you felt that your friend did something that you felt like went to the papers and she's saying that Dorito abused an animal which is is very damaging. We cannot go there on this June. We have received backlash. She didn't abuse an animal. You just didn't know the right thing to do and she say five thousand dollars..

No did I try out of bathing suit earlier today with a built-in brought and it cut me off. It's like okay so tell you hero. Tell you to tell you all a little bit about what this space is and what the legacy fund is. It's all about the Jane Club was founded by me and my co founder Jesse no with the idea and mission that mothers mothers should be able to work and not have to apologize for being mothers and they should be able to mother and not apologize for having to go oh to paid work that both should be able to exist and so this space urine is a workspace we have childcare on the first floor and we have an unbelievable community the and services to support mothers one of the things we are doing here is making sure we are including as many women as possible <hes> who can't afford our membership hip level so the gene legacy is gifting memberships to those women. We're going to be announcing some really exciting partnerships with the legacy fund fund soon <music> so stay tuned but tonight all of the proceeds from these ticket sales on what you paid for your ticket which was too much and they can give out that was a test like Oh God are supporting these women who can come here and work and have their children taking care of so. "And our guest is the daily program director, and she really is the face of the Jayme club. I really she is who you see when you walk and is James, Danielle my both work there. It couldn't be more incredible. She makes everyone feels so welcome and loved a hug from her is like coming home. And on top of that, she watches these thirty s shows. She is a dirt bag just like uh says, please welcome. Sean Tobel Dell. I am so happy to be here. I cannot tell you how excited, I am to get into all of it so money to go. Now, Shanta, you're such a wise woman. You lead the meditation at Jane club. I do. I mean, this is a woman who comes through the Jane club with a meditation bowl. Yes. Do eleven thirty signaling us all to go out, and then you'll give kind of an invocation. It's so beautiful. Thank you. Do you want to say anything for us about the new book? Well, first of all, thank you for that very warm and beautiful introduction. I feel like recording a taking everywhere I go and just pressing it. I walk into a room, you know word of it. Thank you for having me in your knock, which sounds slightly dirty, and I like it. This is beautiful, but I think, what would be appropriate here is to just take a moment and it's Casey mentioned because I lied meditation daily, I like to ground the space before we start because this is a new nook. It's my first time here and I it was like first time, you're, you're taping here. Is that correct? That's correct. I think we ought to just sort of set the stage and let the nook know what's going to happen. So I would just say, let's just take a moment wherever you are. Let's just take a big in Allen and axe hail breathe it out. And let's just get really grounded where we are. And I will just say to this beautiful space to the nook prepare yourself. You are going to see things people shouldn't say you're going to see behavior in adults that will make you wonder what is going on. Exactly. You will just be stunned into silence nook. So prepare yourself it's going to get really funky in the air, but it's going to be fantastic. It's going to be a ride. So be ready to see all of it drinking. Bad behaviour, exposed who she's. We saw tonight. Tonight prepare yourself. Prepare your wow, Shanta prepare the space for us as opposed to us for the space. You spoke to the space to hold us. It's going to need a hold us through this race dirty little flea bags. We are drifted into this hollowed land this space needs. Like a sage from us. I'm going to go through Koolup realize that comes to every new house. I haven't sages every nook speaking of no been cranny, and she hasn't gotten over here like the nook is gonna sage after we leam, wow Ashanti before we go to break. We are doing bitch says show at the Jane globe. You are indeed. It's very exciting. Very exciting June. Diane refill is our guest, and we're going to a cocktail party before where we all have cocktails together for an hour, then we're going to tape the show and the ticket price is a bit high. I will admit, but it is all again, going to din yell, and I know it's. It is going to the legacy fund at the Jane club, which, again, is the IMO workspace, and do you want to speak to the legacy fund? I do. And the legacy fund is so wonderful. It is a fun that we are so grateful for people to contribute to because what it does is it makes space, excuse me, makes it. Allowable for women who might not otherwise be able to afford to be on our space to be there. And that's what we want..
