"Steve Courtney joined by my broadcast partner, Jamie Edmonds. What's up? How you doing? I'm doing well, Yeah, we're both just coming off the golf course. Kudos to everyone involved in the Fantastic Ted Lindsay Foundation Outing at Detroit Golf Club. There were a lot of players out there some valuable valuable funds raised. For some folks in need fighting autism, which was his cause, always always, and I think that's fantastic. I met his daughter, wonderful waiting around. And I just I love that His legacy lives on here in Detroit, and you know what? I think, Jamie, that's going to be the situation for years to come. And that's just awesome. Well, both courses were filled so people are on board. And willing to support this worthy costs. We'll have more on those developments coming up, but there is a lot to unpack in this edition of the WJR Sports book. Obviously yesterday, Dan Campbell made his lion's head coaching debut, and, uh, didn't go smoothly at the beginning. No, I think the simple lesson Jamie is when you are booed off by the home crowd at the half Things are not going well. And they certainly weren't the lions trailing 31 10 at that point, Yeah. Welcome to Detroit, Dan. Yeah, it was tough. It was tough to hear those booths. You don't wanna You don't want that and your first game, but at least they gave some fight in the second half. Well, you know, there was some things you know at work here, obviously. A lion's fans wanted to know exactly what type of player Jared Goff is going to be. Uh, he goes 38 57 338 yards, three touchdowns, but he did throw the very costly pick six. I think if you take that out of the equation did he missed some throws? Yes, he did. But when he's putting up 338 yards, isn't it pretty much? What do you got to expect asking of him? Yeah, I thought he forced it a couple times in that pick six. He was going for T. J Hawkinson, who had three defenders around him, and he went to T. J. Hawkinson. His running backs most of the time. I think they were targeted 30 Times. Does he not trust his receivers as he rushed? You know, I don't know. But I think he is going to be looking for T. J. Yeah, great for me because he's on my fantasy. Thank you, Hawk. You're not one of those people, are you? I have one team. I don't go overboard. Fair enough. Yeah. Hothead Career high eight receptions for 97 yards also, uh, Taylor Decker, the fine left tackle, unable to go. He's got some finger ailment going on. Um, Penny Sewell, El numero Uno draft selection gets that start at left tackle. Let me tell you something. I love watching the offensive line, and I think that says a lot about me, but they do play ball. Well, that's his natural position, so they he's practicing on right all camp. Taylor Decker goes down. They move him to left, and he excels. And now it's like, okay now, what? But he looked good for a rookie against Nick Bosa. And, yeah, I'm sure there were many that were under the impression. As a matter of fact, I read a couple of pieces leading up to the tilt. Saying that Penny is going to have his work cut out. This could be a force at game for Nick Bosa, yada, yada yada. It wasn't as a matter of fact, both say after the game, said, Look, you know the dude can play. He is going to be around for a while. He's going to be a good one. So that's pretty high praise right there, right. He the I believe Detroit reporters went into San Francisco's area to talk to Nick Bosa, and he said Penis Eliza great. Left tackle that he should stay left. I don't see that happening. I don't need just don't you know, Taylor Decker complete respect for that guy, you know, And there is the adage that you don't lose your starting job because of injury. I don't know what this finger things all about. You know, there's been a lot on social media. When isn't there? About this particular ailment and how a finger can keep somebody out of action. It's got to be something that's rather severe. I would think to the point that is going to have to have surgery right? And they said it was a routine play and practice on Wednesday, and now he's out. I wonder what happened, But I'll tell you who won't tell us the lions? No, never. No situation. Indeed, Uh, yesterday got worse. The 40 Niners would make it a 38 10 ball game. Into the third quarter. At that point, there was an exodus going on at Ford Field. Uh, it was looking rather bleak. Um, and look the expectations. On this 2021 lining team are non existent unless you're in their locker room, but obviously you expect right, but the overall consensus is Your 456 win. Team six. I believe we picked the under two weeks ago, right? Yes, we did. Yes, we did, And that was a very strong opinion. I think on both parts Um, But then Campbell There was a difference here, and we discussed this earlier. Jamie at the golf course. And you made a valid point. With the Lions have come back to the degree that they did, although they fell short. If not Patricia was still on the sideline. No, and that's what we discussed because they wouldn't give up in my opinion. I mean, I wasn't there in the locker room, but it felt like they would give up a map. Patricia. They were down by a lot. They didn't love this guy They didn't buy into his system Yada, yada yada so they would give up. I think they like Dan Campbell. They want Dan Camel to succeed. So they believed him in the halftime discussion in the locker room. Let's go one play at a time. And what a sequence it was to score. Touchdown. Get two points. Get the ball back The onside kick, then forced a fumble. It was exciting, at least well, you know, and, you know, we digress. Uh, how cool was it? To actually see Fannies in Fort Field, right? Start there. I mean, because look awesome Ball games, you know, minus fans last year in East Lansing in Detroit, Um and it was surreal. As weird, very weird, you know, and players feed off emotion. It's just the nature of the beast. So that was great. And, uh, had a couple buddies that were there. Um That said when this barrage that the Lions put up to the tune of 23 points in just three plus minutes with everything that you had mentioned, Jamie, um the place was going absolutely ballistic Look Lion spans. Want to win now. Hmm. They don't want to hear. Well, this is a rebuild. This is going to be a year or two or three years away. Let's win right now. So when you're down 38 10 in the third quarter and all of a sudden you see This stuff going on before you? Of course, It's exciting. Yeah, when there wasn't much to cheer about last year, and so if they're coming back, they're forcing fumbles. They're making it fun to watch. I'm fine with them Rebuilding and maybe not being that competitive this year, but at least make a couple games exciting for all of us to watch. Be competitive, right? You know, uh, look the last three years. Were an absolute nightmare. Very, very dark. Yes, if you can make it competitive and make it close and make it entertaining. And you fall short. Fine. Whatever. I understand what the situation is here, right to a large degree. The pantry's empty. Let's go hit some heads and see what happens Some kneecaps by the knee camp, Sure, but here's the thing When you look at the reality of it, then I know, uh, I overheard some folks At the golf course, talking about it. Typical lions. They're down. They make it close. They lose. I do not think this was same old lions on Sunday, Same old lions wouldn't have rallied like that. One have even made plays. One have been competitive against a team that was in the Super Bowl two years ago. I believe this is not same old line. Well, here's the deal. This team at the end of the day did not quit. Right. So they have that going for him now what? That translates moving forward. But here's another thing. Another little bite of a reality sandwich. The last two years you're saying I'm going to internalize them and use them myself. But go on a book. Okay, we'll split it, Uh, The defense the last couple of years. Has been Wuerffel embarrassing, uh, worse than the league, one of the ones still giving up points..

"A new petition filed by Britney Spears lawyer is accusing her dad Jamie, of trying to extort around $2 million from her dad of the year. Earlier this month, Jamie said he intended to step down as conservator, but only after they resolve certain issues. Brits lawyer said Mr Spears and his council are now on notice. The status quo is no longer tolerable, and Britney Spears will not be extorted her blatant Them to barter suspension and removal in exchange for approximately two million in payments on top of the millions already reaped from her estate, and his associates is a non starter. Basically, he's like, Don't even try it, Jamie. Um I should say that a rep for Jamie says that he's always done the right thing with her money, so he's managed her and then charged her to manage her. And as what is part of like a agreement or now he wants to mill to leave to leave. Yeah, which I'm sure any other manager would try. You know, if you broke an agreement with the manager, they would try and get that money out of you. Remember, I heard Neil, Patrick Harris and Stern one time talking about how it was some point his parents worked for him when he was a little kid, because at some point it was like This. It had taken off to the point where they It was not any longer him traveling on the weekend anymore to do gigs it was, you know, he was doing Doogie Howser or whatever. And they basically had to move the family to California. And at some point it was like my my parents can't do their jobs anymore, and and we're having to pick up and move our lives and so, like I basically paid my parents a management fee. And it's kind of a weird thing to think about that You would do that. Or that your parents would take the money. But I mean, if you're you know if you don't have the means, and you're having a completely uproot your family family to support that aspiration of one of the kids and the kids, just kids make a lot of money. Then I guess at some point you do take your cut. And maybe that's better than paying someone else to take. You know, some some other outside member gets the cut. But anyway, in this case, the guy sounds like a jackass. But, um, sounds like he's treating himself like any other manager would. Which is? Give me that dough before I'm done with my cash cow. Yeah, but other managers wouldn't have Control over like, you know, people dressing her seeing her naked. You know her? I U d. Um things like that, so it gets dicey, and it's just like you think about like, that's her parents. It just it makes me really sad. To be honest, Um, Kanye West wanted to transport his actual childhood home to Soldier field for his final donde listening event. I guess the city denied his wishes, though Moving a home here in Chicago is a technical process. That requires engineer reports and city permits shocker, none of which Kanye or his team had. Um, the house is actually currently in demolition court, and he said that he plans to renovate it. He did buy it last year. As far as the listening party. He, of course, ended up building a replica of Donna's house, which he wanted to set on fire. But they said no to that, too. So he just set himself on fire and How does ex wife there? I don't know. He's wild and they grow up so fast. You guys 16 year old. A lot of honey. Boo Boo Thompson is reportedly dating a 20 year old college student named Drehle in cars. Well, wait. Was they know? Yeah. She's dating a 20 year old. That must be a flex in the dorm. Yeah, I'm dating honey. Boo Boo. I feel like bro. Doesn't she? Like seven? I don't know. Okay. Um, she is not in fact frozen in time. No, it's weird, though. They've been dating for about six months and despite the four year age Reportedly really like him approve of the relationship before the panda Me he went to school in Nashville but now lives in Georgia near honey. Boo Boo and her sister Pumpkin. If anyone cares, what does she look like now, honey? Boo Boo. Um, she's in vogue. I was just talking about this with Paulina..

Here are two voices together because they blended so well. Oh, I missed that complement. Yeah. Bravo was it was almost professional singer like some people in the room that I was on this day in history that Bob Dylan got booed for playing an electric guitar. I was told this morning went electric. Yep. Playing electric guitar, so Oh, look, Mike Mike's getting his headphones on. Yes, Dylan Dylan goes Electric at the Folk Festival, Newport Folk Festival, and this was the day that down That was the one thing that they those those old focus from, you know, back in the early sixties, Peter, Paul and Mary and everybody came up late fifties early sixties. They wouldn't they wouldn't go electric. They insisted on keeping everything acoustic. And then he Come out and with those amps and plugged in, and they weren't having it. What a better world we live in. Now that we accept all guitars. I remember how people got upset when I stopped playing the harpsichord. Oh, it's a riot at Let's talk to Bill. Hi, Bill. You're on 1000. Katie. Okay. How can we help you? Well, Jamie, um, I was down in south Louisiana about a month ago. Mean down to the Gulf Coast love that area. Yeah, it was quite pleasant. And I saw what I would call Gaillardia. The Indian blanket. Um, could I be mistaken? Everywhere. I You know, I don't know the whole range, but I think it has a pretty large range. It was more of a prairie flower. It is a prairie flower. But I've actually I've seen it. Not heavy, but I've seen it in, uh The mountains of Colorado. Yeah, and, uh, but I'm not for sure. I have to look. You know, I would I What I do other states. I usually focus really hard core on Texas, of course, and then New Mexico and Arkansas and Kansas because they all touch us, and I probably should do more Louisiana But I haven't I haven't seen it there. But, you know, I'm looking at the live oaks and at the Crims and all the other stuff they have there, so I'm not for sure. I went to the Tabasco plant. Yep. Behaviour Island. What in Avery Island? Yes, Sound the last yet. And there's a nature area. There's a nature area there. That was like maybe 500 acres that absolutely magnificent, like 30 inch diameter Live oaks, Maybe well, but my saying probably 60 inch And, uh, just all kinds of other plants that one of the one of the McElhaney is. 100 years ago like bamboo, and there's just all the kinds of bamboo down there too. Yeah, I'd be scared to play a baby in a, uh, but one thing I did find out that that really surprised me was that they grow the peppers in South America. Yeah, they don't grow them on Avery Island. Oh, it is that just where they because they're there for minutes. So it's everything. Ferment them. The Tabasco's Yeah, I've been a problem by here. If you as you drive up to it, you can smell it in your eyes, Water, smiling. Just pour down rain. I mean, and but it was It was very interesting area And so all right. Well, that's all I had. Energy Bill, I'm surprised you had time to take a vacation with all the trees that are needing attention. The reason the reason I was there was south of Lafayette. I had a court appearance for a tree case It was over spraying. Of preserving an airplane over spraying crops, and it got onto a man's property and killed vegetarianism. And then we find out in the trial that the man sprays 24 d on a regular basis. And so the judge threw out the case which was very sad. I was on the defendant side. Oh, I was going to buy, but the judge dismissed the case before I had a chance That sounds like the Tabasco tour was the highlight of your trip. Well, it was well. I slept on the beach. Oh, nice. You could drive on the beach, and, uh, another thing is that there's almost no Businesses along the coast. The actual coast Road because of Hurricane Rita are wiped out a bunch of buildings and all the if you build a new house, right there, near the water is, um they have to be at least 30. Ft. Elevated. I'm sure you know. And here comes either right now we appreciate your call. Good. Thank you. Very cool. Yes. We are the Garden party. We need to take a break. When we come back. "Through Saturday evening, your weather is brought to you. By Howard Air Arizona's morning news news FLASH. I'm Jamie West. Here's what you need to know. Right now. Jamboree eight for a wham Bam slam. Her son swept the Nuggets winning Game four in Denver last night. Now Phoenix heads to the Western Conference finals for the first time in 11 years. More coming up. Next. The U. S is approaching another benchmark in the pandemic. Nearly 600,000 people in America have died from Covid 19. At least four major U. S. Cities are reeling this morning from mass shootings over the weekend. 39 people wounded. Six dead in Austin, Cleveland, Chicago in Savannah, You're never more than 15 minutes away from today's top stories on Arizona's news station Key to our news. We've always approached the game with a get to not a got to mentality. We get to play basketball. We get paid a lot of money and our team enjoys playing. So you can kind of see it early on that Suns coach Monty Williams after his team put the Nuggets out of their misery. 1 25 1 18 last night in Denver, completing a four game sweep and moving into the Western Conference finals for the first time in 11 years, Vince Morada with Bickley and Morata on 98 7 FM, Arizona Sports Station and the Sun's Arena announcer joins us now and I don't care. Who are you? Are or what sport you're playing sweeping A playoff series is never easy, Is it? No, it's only the third time it's happened for the sons in their postseason history they had won in 2000 and five they had won in 2010. You know, the Nuggets obviously didn't make it easy in Game four. That was about as hard as they played in the entire series. So no, it's never easy, but man that was impressive and the biggest longest winning streak the sons have ever had in playoffs, too. They have seven in a row now. Yeah, it's pretty rare territory to reach. Um they say the playoffs. The game changes and anybody who watched the sun during the regular season and he's watching now in the playoffs can certainly attest to that. But So far halfway to the to the championship. They look, they look pretty unfazed pipe pretty much anything that's put in front of them. I know we're talking about the sun's PA announcer Vince Morada of 98 7 FM Arizona Sports Station Vince last Thursday, you and I both gave Jamie a bad time for asking this after the sons had a two Oh, lead over Denver. Who would you rather see the sons play in the next round? The Jazz of the Clippers. Jamie. Jamie. Jamie. So first, Vince, do you owe Jamie an apology? And second? What is the answer to James question? Do we want to see the Jazz? Are the Clippers first? Yes, I do. Owe Jamie an apology. He could see things that I apparently could not see. So I apologize for that, Jamie. Um I, It feels like we're on a collision course for for sons jazz. Even though now there are doubts with the Jazz is injuries situation. Both of their guards are banged up. Mike Conley hasn't played in this series. He was an all star Donovan Mitchell, who just came back from an ankle injury in the playoffs. Now he's reaggravated that I think that That would be, I think the most emotional of the two series. Yeah, The thing to consider, though, is that if the Clippers do get by the Jazz sons would have home court advantage in that series, where they would not against the Jazz Vince. The earliest this sounds are going to play again is next Sunday, but possibly not until next Tuesday. Is that long layoff going to help them or hurt them? I mean, they're going to cool off. It's a great question. Um it's a debate that goes on when you're going this Well. Do you want the rest? Um and I'm definitely on the side of rest. We saw it. When the regular season ended. The sons had a full week before they opened up that Lakers series Chris Paul had talked about. Hey, I could really use the rest at that point, Um, now it didn't work out great for him because he got injured in Game one. I think at this point of the season Mean the sons now have played 10 playoff games, so they played 82 games, which is the normal length of a regular season. I think they're probably relishing this rest that they're going to get Boy, you're asking good questions now. According to vents, Jamie Thank you. Yeah, one more quick. One events here. We're talking Vince Murano, the Sun's arena announcer. And also with Bickley and Morata 98 7 FM Arizona Sports Station, The Sons the fastest to get to their conference finals in the entire league of the seven teams left in the playoffs. Who's the best? Who? Who's going to be the the least favorite team? You want to see the Sun's plan in the finals if they get that far? Wow. Um That even the landscape in the Eastern Conference has changed. I think Atlanta it's a little prematurity. Consider them although they they've over achieved, I think in the postseason It comes down to the other three teams. Philadelphia is really tough. Milwaukee has cranked up their intensity. In the last two games. They're playing really well. Brooklyn's situation has changed. Two of their three superstars are now hurt, and I don't I don't know if Kyrie Irving is going to be able to get back for this series, and that might be the death knell for the Nets. But would there be any better headline than a finals with the sons playing a team whose coach is probably arguably the most most popular sons player in the last 20 years? Steve Nash. That would be the best. I mean, that would be chock full of headlines. Definitely, and the connections are there. Um, you know, two teams that have not won a championship in the NBA, So you have a first time champions. There would be a ton there. Certainly All right, Vince Morada sons, PA. Announcer and of Bickley and Morata on 98 7 FM Arizona Sports Station. Get back over to detour, Dan Now in the Valley Chevy dealers, Traffic Center. Thank you, sir. We are on it. "You've been injured in an accident Call Sweet James. I'm Jamie West. And, you know, I was wondering if if Steve got that sound effect from that, you know, he did his own sound effective dinosaur. Actually came from, you know your pre show meetings or something? It was it was. I appreciate me. I also told him this day in history. I got married for the first time in 1994. Okay, I we could really expand on this. That tops I listen. I've been I've been happily married a couple of times. Jamie. Um yes. In 1994. My first marriage was today some in a great mood. You're just a lovable God. Yeah, Let's go with that that let's go with that. Thanks, Jamie. Happy Friday. Um, there is so much happening this morning. We've got some great guests lined up for the show. Mark Barnevik. Now he's the attorney General. He's a Senate candidate is going to join us. He just threw his hat in The ring yesterday made the announcement about 2 30 yesterday afternoon. And so we're going to talk with him this morning. About, um, about the Senate race why he's jumping in there that will be at 905. We've got a great guest just after 10 o'clock to help your kids with civics through the summer months. It's a great program. Um, and so there's a lot happening. And then at 11 30 this morning, we're going to talk with the sheriff of Maricopa County Paul penned zone regarding the recent actions taken in court, possibly about how slow their do it. They are moving in the sheriff's office. An interesting perspective from the sheriff himself. He kind of inherited this problem, but we'll get into it later on in the show. It did stem from immigration issues in the Arpaio administration when Sheriff Arpaio was there for so many years, so it's going to be something that's kind of carrying a theme that we have dealing with illegal immigration. And that's we're going to start this morning is with illegal immigration and with the idea of border walls and what the what D C is doing and what's happening. And here's where my issue lies with all of this, Um, we are dealing with the problem. And the current sheriff is dealing with it, just like the former sheriff was and that we are caught between a rock and a hard place. It has been established that there is not going to be much cooperation through the federal government, at least through the leadership positions. With the federal government and dealing with the border that is going to be their issue. It's turned into a political hot potato. It's no longer about right and wrong. It's all about right and left, and that's just how things are. Um, I want to start with the vice president. She was talking to a reporter about going to the about going to the border, and if she is going to the border and she's getting, I think she's getting tired of the questions. I said. I'm going to go to the border. And when are you going to the Border? Vice President Administration has asked. I'm not finished. I said, I'm going to the border and also if we are going to deal with the problems at the border, we have to deal with the.

"The Great State of Washington. He's a Republican, and he's going to primary. The Republican there now, Jamie, Um Herrera Butler, I think is her full name. She's district three Republicans. She voted to impeach President Trump, then President Trump, and she's also been somebody who's more of a rhino than anything else. So here's somebody. Joe can't, a military veteran and former Green Beret, retired Green Beret, I should say, and he's taken her on a very good conversation. Make sure you stick around for that one. We go to the phone lines on illegals getting getting this money and how we should line up, I guess And and thank them and kiss their ass is for feeding us or something. Let me go to the phone lines. Is that headline one Christmas in washing? Hi, Chris. What's going on? Hi. I just wanted to comment. I heard what you were saying. And it's totally true. I live in Washington Central Washington. It's a lot of agriculture, though, Do you have a lot of you know illegal here and the property company are going out of their way. Building apartment houses brand new part houses. Jack's credit. And these people, they won't They won't reach anybody other than migrant. I'm homeless. I lost my job and I'm only Yet these people can go right down and get a really nice place to live. Well, what I want to ask you a question. First of I'm sorry You're homeless and hope that gets straightened out. But let me ask you a question when you go down there and you tell them I need a place to stay. What are they saying? You're not a migrant. I understand. That's exactly what I said. Well, they're not allowed to say that. That's discrimination. They can't just say it's gonna only be migrants. I'm sorry unless you're migrant workers. That to redirect you. Okay, We'll get a hold of there. Is this Yakima? Where are you in Washington. Where are you in Washington. Okay, get ahold of the mayor. Get ahold of the City Council get ahold of people who are the leaders of that community. They all know Dale went in on the left with Chris. I want to stop you. Listen to me. Clearly. Don't give me an excuse or a reason or be defensive with me. I want you to get a place to live. And if they are, they're saying you have to be this person to rent here or to have a place to stay here. That's illegal in our country. They can't do that and say you must be a migrant worker who's here. Work in the farms. They can't do that. Unless this is housing that somebody's making privately that's on their property, saying I'm building this housing for who I wanted to be for If this is something we're getting a tax payers break by building this and they're saying on Lee, these people can can live here. I disagree with that legality, and I would get ahold of somebody. Just agree with it also, but I know it's happening, and somehow there's a loophole. I worked for the company and building them. What I would like to know what the loophole is. So so do me a favor. Do that. Do that legwork for me? Because I don't live in Yakima and get ahold of the mayor. Get hold the City Council and get back to me. Kenya. Well, I appreciate you, Chris. I'm sorry about the situation. You're in the hope that it gets rectified. Quickly. Let me go back out and say hello to lying to is Leroy in Nebraska. Highly, Roy, What's going on? I'm doing all right. How are you doing in the dream? Talk to me. All right, so I just wanted to go back on your point about how we shouldn't have to think migrant workers. Because they get paid a wage so defending that we don't have to think police officers or the actual farm owners because the farm owners and police officers make money. They're doing their jobs. No, they wait. Don't have to thank them. No, they take the illegal immigrants because they're exploitable because they undocked bar the exploitable or they picking them because they could pay them lower wages. What's they're not the same thing Because illegals don't have to come here. You understand that right because they can pay them. Western illegal wage because the illegal immigrants didn't come here. Could they do that? No way that delusion. Okay, See, what happens is when will the illegal immigrants don't come and take the food? The crops right out. That's not true. That's not true. That's not true. That's not true. That's not true. That's untrue. What you're saying is is verifying Once where? John John hold because you're not gonna yell over me where you made your statement that the crops will rot in the fields. If there are no illegals here to pick them because Americans won't do it, and Leroy, I didn't hang up on you Put John did you hang up, Sam? He hung up. Okay, Leroy, listen to me clearly, because obviously you can't control yourself. I put you on hold so I could make my point was gonna bring you back on and tell me how stupid I am, when you say that the crops will rot in the fields because Americans won't do the work. That's a lie. Americans won't do the work for the cheap wage that's being offered to those who are here illegally. So those people don't come here illegally and they do it the right way they could either go and get the job above board upon the table instead of under the table or Those who are or running the farms, those who are producing the food. Okay? Those people will have to pay a fair wage to somebody to go and pick the crops. I'm somebody who has a job that that pays better than somebody picking the crops. But if I didn't and I needed an immediate work, I wouldn't go and do it for finals in our $7 an hour or 7 50 an hour You wanna pay me 10 or 15?.

"Help you solve problems. Answer questions, Take complaints. And again we Are working on these problems. I want to go to Dr Jamie Bomb Garden with real CBD that works or panacea Life sciences. Um, Jamie, um, CBD I am touting CBD as an anti inflammatory. I am touting CBD as a anti anxiety and as a pain reliever. I have a study that I don't think even you know about that. I want to talk about But Doc, I'm gonna ask you. Maybe you do know about it. And this is the fun quiz. And and it's serious. I want people to know this because this is pretty good news. Pretty good news. When it comes to Cove. It And I'm not touting. Anything is being a cure, But I'm gonna I'm gonna share some science. Dr. Jamie, do you know what all the people had in common? That were hospitalized, needed ventilation and died and we're throwing blood clots. Um, um yeah, absolutely. What did they have in common? Do you know what they had in common? I know what they had in common. Yeah. No, I don't. Okay. They had a problem with their Endo feel Liel cells. Yes. That the end end of feel Liam system is the lining on the inside of their blood vessels. Which were inflamed. Now. Now I wanna explain this. That is absolutely in every single case. Yell, did a study on this And they found that those who are dying, We wondered, wire people dying, throwing blood clots and our long haulers when others, most others. Don't hardly get sick, whether you like it or not, people that is the God's honest truth. Okay? All of these cases you're hearing about does not mean death. The increase in death is going down The increase in cases going up. The increase in sickness is going down. Why? Why? Why Endo feel Leo cells are the lining of the blood vessels. And the number one cause. Of inflammation of the end of Phileo cells, by the way, the virus in and of itself can attack and Ophelia cells, but on Lee when they're irritated those with healthy cells Are not affected like the others. So what causes inflammation the number one reason the number one reason, according to the Imperial College of London, and a Yale University study is glycogen. Now, can you explain what like a shin is Jamie? Sure, Um, Typically, that's elevated glucose in the in the blood and fruit toast as well. Frutos is even more of a demon, by the way, sugar, sugar sugar. Now now, here's the deal. This is what scientists say. Not me. Scientists. That if we limited the intake of glucose and fruit toast during the shut ins. In fact, the shut ins are contributing to more junk eating if we limited glycogen shin and obesity There would hardly be any mortality. What so ever other than the Cold War to co morbidity is so here's the deal. What's amazing what's amazing is just mild, obese patients..

"And if you wanna be a part of the show, just hit us up on the Dr Pepper, Twitter feed or call us at one Triple eight, Say ESPN. That's 1888. 7293776 after the victory tastes, Um Hill on the microphone, talking with the media after he engineered another New Orleans Saints victory in his first NFL start. No, no, um Yeah, not not to be nothing really. And disrespect on anyway. I don't. I don't pay attention any of that stuff. Care about the kings of those closest to me, my friends, my family, my teammates and coaches. And you get to this level and Can I have a television and do your thing? So, actually, that's Taysom Hill afterwards asking if he paid any attention to the criticism that was flying around, I guess either in regular media circles or social media circles about him getting the start over Jamis Winston as Drew Brees is on the shelf with Very painful. It sounds like 11 cracked ribs. But before we got to kick off, and before we knew the results, taste them in his team, getting the win him rushing for two touchdowns thrown for more than 200. And no interceptions. How did you feel about the decision from Sean Payton to name tasting the starter again before we saw the results? That's something that you supported or something that you kind of question. No, no, no. I was blown away by that decision because he was funny, too, because I hosted SportsCenter a couple of times this week and all week long. He kept talking about, you know, it'll be fine because Jamis Winston is a starting quarterback in the NFL, who is NFL experience And although very turnover prone will be fine taking over if they could just run the ball and take care of the ball, And they also have a guy named Taysom Hill, who could run these crazy packages and can do some flashy stuff. So I think a lot of us just expected that Jamie's because he also came in and that game and took over for Drew Brees and won the game When Drew Brees was knocked out last Sunday. I think a lot of us expected he would be 12 come in, take over and maybe would be even a split job. But the fact that it went on Lee to Taysom Hill. Then later in the week, I think Sean Payton came out and said, We don't even have any offensive packages planned for Jamie's Winston this weekend. He is he has no plans in this game. That really took me by surprise. We've talked about this. We talked about in the commercial break. There's something here. We don't know. And we're not seeing who knows what happens in practice. Who knows? What? What? This reasoning Woz. You know, Taysom, Hell's a guy who's been with the team for a while. They're paying him a lot of money. He knows this playbook inside and out. He knows the offense well, so maybe put a guy who knows the system and knows this team well better than a guy who's coming from a different Team in a different franchise and has kind of a rocky past. Um, but I was really surprised. I think a lot of people are surprised. Sean Payton said today that it was not easy decision. He kind of went back and forth and back and forth. And then today we heard a report from the Saints locker room. That locker room was tourney and a lot of guys thought that James should have started today. They didn't support the decision, so I don't think it was easy by any means. Not at all but Taysom delivered on the confidence instilled by his head coach Sean Payton. 18 of 23. 233 yards, No TVs. No, I antes ran 10 times for 51 yards. And two touchdowns. Same question to you, Monica before we got these results. What was your thought process about Peyton deciding to give the job to Taysom Hill and have James Winston back him up. Rather than use, Jamie says the quarterback in taste him in his usual role as kind of a jack of all trades. I initially when I heard I was sort of surprised, but I don't know that I was blown away and this may be unfair, but I think this is the danger. Of the media and narratives developing around someone. I always think back to dream on green talking about what shocking a fool did to develop. McGee. As Muchas Was in debates and conversations about the opportunity to see Jameson essentially start again. I also could see where someone might question and mind you. This is me on the outside looking and not in New Orleans as a beat reporter at all, but I could see where someone might question Whether he Has Risen to the level to be a starting quarterback of the team that wins and wins consistently. Um It's interesting to hear that the locker room was sort of split. That means he was doing something right. It's far someone is concerned. But ultimately you end up deferring to Peyton, who has won at a high level and is consistent and usually winning at a high level. So I can't say that I was completely blown away by this. I also think, um, maybe somewhere. There's this element of surprise, like nobody has any tape really significantly on tasting at this position, whereas maybe some folks will go back to those five years in Tampa when it comes to Jamie's, um It is unfortunate, But like you said, Today's I can't even say it's unfortunate. I think it's the game right. Like you didn't do enough to separate yourself from the competition in this case, and you know if you have two quarterbacks, you can't make a decision. You have none. So at least Peyton made a decision and take some seem to earn it today. And Taysom has been in New Orleans and Peyton system much longer. He has the higher value contract. So if that means anything if that played in any way, shape or form into you know who they quote unquote Valium or as a quarterback Taysom, the one they gave Maurin terms of compensation, too. And you do wonder if Sean Payton just kind of wants to prove to the football community and football world that he is right about tasting Hill that he can make it work with this quote, unquote gadget type of quarterback. This kind of Tim Tebow to point ou know. Ah, Big, fast, bruising runner, but also can you know? Throw the football a little bit, You know, not like Aaron Rodgers by any stretch of imagination, but Certainly better than someone like, Maybe Tebow so It worked in this matchup. But the Atlanta Falcons have had a porous defense. To say the least. That's not a hard match up for quarterbacks is a matter of fact. Going into this week, Guys. Actually Monica listeners. The Atlanta Falcons had allowed the most fantasy points per game two opposing quarterbacks. So it's not exactly that shocking that Taysom succeeded in this environment, and the schedule does not get that difficult for a while for the Saints if he stays as the starting quarterback. There's another easy match up next week against the Broncos, even though they just beat the Miami Dolphins. Then a week after that, its back against the Falcons in Atlanta, then the Eagles and we know how they're struggling before you get the Chiefs. Who can be difficult, But I think taste is gonna have the.
