Interview With Jaime Z
"People. Thank you for turning on this podcast as you hopefully know this is the podcast where we talk about what it's like to be high and sometimes we talk about some other things so yet again. We are here with a new interview subject today. We have jamie jamie. I think she has some history with cannabis but also in addition to which obviously we're going to talk about her history and what it's like but she also is the co founder of a recreational cannabis startup. So jamie please tell the folks about who you are and a bit more about this this cannabis startup share. So i have been working on all sorts of community engagement for years. And because of that i was invited to join a perception farms which has applied for several dispensary licenses and a craft girl license in the state of illinois and we are very equity based which the state's requirements are that but we are really sharing equity with all of the employees as part of our business model as opposed to just hiring one person that will then receive a minimum of fifty one percent of of the of the each so really a co-op model and trying to distribute wealth throughout communities in the chicago area. That's really awesome. Can you actually go a little bit more indepth. Because i'm sure a lot of people don't fully know all what's involved in this. The equity that illinois has put forth in terms of the cannabis legalisation that they did at the beginning of. I think it was the beginning of this year. Twenty twenty and. I can't even remember all the details myself. Obviously you don't need to go through every single little thing but can you give us just a little bit more information on what that is and then what that specifically means for your employees. Yes so in illinois really. The folks who infant carrying the burden of illegal cannabis throughout most of our history have been primarily people of color and illinois. Really wanted to make sure that as they embraced legalization that though was You know people who had been would be considered most underrepresented in the field of of cannabis in the legal cannabis recreation market that they have an opportunity for ownership because they have been the most impacted by by the war on cancer. Best and so it was really interesting. How illinois setup all of its laws and it systems in its application for the first round none of which is perfect in. There's a lot of lawsuits happening around that right now but really they wanted the lawmakers and the people that wrote the bill really wanted to ensure that there wasn't more perpetuation of white males owning and running all of the cannabis companies in illinois but really trying to support community members on actually people of color in illinois as license holders. Women are represented very much either in that space and so i'm a little bit unique in that way but still await person and so we really messed up and did a lot of interviewing and engaging with people who were important state would identify as a social equity applicants so that they lived in a region of state that was in most impacted by the war on cannabis. Or they were. They had a minor on a minor. Drug related offense on their record. That would actually be deleted by the new legalization of cannabis in illinois. I think those were like violent and it was under a certain amount and correcting But even with that there might just gonna ticket in the last few years that cook county at least in chicago has been pretty light on that. But in terms of your reprimand was if you're caught with cannabis and weren't supposed to have it before. It was legal but before that i mean in the situation could have been pretty graham. You could have gone to jail. It could've really lost part of your life and had a permanent record against you by having a is not really a big amount of cannabis on you. So that the way the law was structure. They were really trying to make amends reparations for those community members. Yeah i mean as much as they possibly can yet lives have been just absolutely ruined by

Could be one of those nights. First two calls were pretty reasonable. I thought I mean, well, The second one was reasonable anyway. Jamie in Charlestown, Jamie. Next on nights, I go ahead. Yeah, I think you're taking the call. You're welcome to your own with busting their money. Washing the ring. Settle. Nice. I call the line. Go ahead. Great. Thanks so much for taking the call. I'm there. I'm a concerned parent. I have two kids in the Boston public School for a summer in one The current sixth grader who were very concerned with the Dig them school. Criteria and re evaluating that and two thoughts. One is Can you please explain why he chose this good to prioritize? Children regarding exam school admission, and do you think it's fair to treat Different neighborhoods differently. And then there's also let him make that question for us. Jamie. Jamie, Hold on. Let him take that question for us. We won't cut you off going there. Okay? Yeah, the task force that was put together that they're the ones who came up with the admission criteria. And they felt that the only fair way to do it was caused by percentages on DH. That's that's what they felt was the fairest way to do it. There are more school racial in certain areas and which will get a higher number of kids going into Latin school. But it was a fair assessment across the board and all the different because That's how they came up with the idea. But it was kids in the Boston public schools. Correct Mayor of I believe that they did not count on me to lure him parochial schools or private schools who might have lived in Different different parts of the city. No. Well, we won't know that. So they're also that all living within his coat. So what I'm saying is that if a kid in West Roxbury going to ST Teresa's, um, he he would have or she would have the same chance as a kid going to public school in West Roxbury. Yeah, that's how it works. That's what works with that with the criteria. OK, calculating Part of that is our understanding. Is that their attack it'd on G P a And therefore all of the sudden you got the croquet on private school tacular in a very different GPS system than public school, the public schools through six or through fifth grade, at least the 124 evaluation rather than a grade. You seem very You know what we were bred, bandaging our kids that are in public schools. No, I don't think so. I think actually the way that it works today, the same way you do it you do in G p A in parochial, private charter public all the schools today you doing GPS on the phone. I'm not sure exactly how how the formula works don't have informed me. I'll try and get it before I hang up the phone. There's a formula that they all worked because that was the way that this carrion sixth grade this current class of incoming students into the exam schools. I was the same promise on Holly did except it was an exam that believe forgot it was part of 50% of the admissions policy. Okay, Jamie Appreciate you called other questions. You got to be very quick, Jamie, cause I got full lines of you giving it to you really quick. That bus Latin may administered an S A T today in person, so sort of Another. You know, I think I can administer the map that's been put out. Well, the is different from the exams. School admission test was not fated to the set and I have the conflict. The two teas. A one day test is minister to students who are looking to pursuit pursue get into college. The sand school admission process administers the students who want to complete the high school education at one of our example, so that this far more students that will be taking the entrance exam was conducted today because if it wasn't the students would not be eligible to go to college. And that's something that that that we took in a kind of found out today. By the way, I didn't know until today that happened. The working group recommendation to change the exam test this year, they mentioned is a good fate that put more equitable process and that's But there is a difference there and and I think that you know a lot more kids take the exam. The entrance exam to those three schools, and it just we just can't do in a safe manner of the show is working with the school committee. I've had in a public hearing at least on this before this This This decision was probably carrying last week. And then there's a public airing every box Wednesday. On this when they made the recommendation is that that was a zoom hearing, right? Yeah, they're also appearing. There's no there's no one person so that people have a chance other than to watch the exchange were people able to put this testimony testimony all the obvious meeting? Okay. They want to change that. They try to sign up. You know Normally, if you have a hearing, let's say at Faneuil Hall of whatever people show up, and then they decide what they're going to talk or not. I know how scripted it Wass. You know, everyone gets a chance to say come and everyone gets a chance to talk. And you need these meetings. These quiet, longest meetings we have in the school in the city of any organization. The Walmart Haul Episode
"All right. We're GONNA jump right in. It's a Walmart Hall. Which means we have lots of products that are ready to be chewed and sipped and swallowed starting with the above all of the above. Not necessarily in that order. But first we have tiller and hatch pressure cooker meals chicken Tortilla Stu so basically these are frozen bags of food items that you throw a pressure cooker or these days. We know it as an instant pot and so it's already made so he just throw the what the contents of the bag into the pressure cooker and IT COOKS UP PRETTY QUICKLY. So this one says only gives you stove top directions to which is nice. I had this. Oh you add water to the pressure cooker. Then you add the sauce than the rest five minutes and then when the timer goes off wheat four minutes. This is basically a nine minute meal. But then but you do have to heat up. Depressurize your pressure cooker. So I wonder if it's really quicker than using stove-top but well I don't know but I'm interested to try it because one cup has one hundred ninety calories four grams of fat and four smartphones points. I know you've got that fast because I'm starving fun and have lunch. Mike is not eat lunch. He's about to chew on Jamie's hand but now we're going to try this. It looks very soupy but this is a chicken stew that was made in a pressure cooker. Or in a I'd like you pass Utensil. Thank you so much wonder. What the origins of the word like Stu like as far as you know what you're doing that's STU maybe names to studio originally it make sense doing it Well it's really good. All right that chicken. This tastes like homemade. Mom's chicken suit and there's corn in it. It's very mild but it's flavorful. This is really great. Comfort food totaling. I love that it's not too salty. Yeah what's sodium? Like on six sixty for a cup so it's not low but let's put that over cauliflower. Rice I love. It was like chicken tortilla soup but with corn beans. Yeah so it's really delicious. It's unexpectedly tasty. We're off to a good start. Okay next up. The product is called mighty spark all natural premium cuts of chicken PROSCIUTTO WITH TOMATO. Basil and garlic seasoned ground chicken so this is basically whereas the packaging of that. Is it a It looks like you buy it in. Like the butcher section where you would buy like genealogy so it's ground chicken smells so good smell it. That's already been flavored. We just throw it in my rankin. Who's probably with like Marinara sauce or something? Who took a big hunk of that? Yeah probably but it already has like what's in it seasoned Rochetta Wise. It's tomato Basil Garlic That's really I love that you don't like about it. It's a little different like sometimes we do the shortcut thing where we Italian seasoning. This doesn't hit you over the head in the same way. Like you really taste the basil or things. He's so good you're probably instead of making ground meat out of it you can do like a meatball or something or Turkey ball. Yeah yeah or like a really fun Burger. I love that. Like sometimes they'll name it something like Bouchette and then you taste it. And you're like they should've just called it tomato garlic. I like that really delivers on the shuttle flavor. Absolutely it does and four ounces. One hundred sixty calories eight grams of fat for smart points to for to that is excellent. All right next up. We have hunts chilly kit. Just add meat. Ready in twenty minutes. So it's brought to you by. Hunts the people make ketchup? You know the people who make the the other ketchup. And it's a chilly kit. So this is a little bit. It's a smart thing you it's ready in twenty minutes you everything you need. Except for the ground meat of choice we decided to make it with extra lean ground beef and as it is without the beef or any of the meat. Three quarters of a cup is one hundred calories no fat and three smart points as package so it has like the little tomato the sauce and the beans. So we're GONNA try it already semi seasoning. I think That everything I've rhythm Kinda tastes like catcher. I was GONNA say days like they're less good ketchup. I kind of was I. Wish hines me this. What did hunt do before they did? They just automatically become tiniest competition or they have something else besides the ketchup tomato people. Yeah think they do a lot of tomato? This is not an this is not the. It's good but it's not great. It's a little like sour acidic facing. I think it might be good for kids for effort forever not forever viral with that. Yeah I don't know anyway. Let's move on next one. I'm kind of excited about because I saw this as I went up to the kitchen. And the back. They were prepping. It see cuisine smart indulgences Tortilla crusted. Wild Alaska pollock. I would say Alaskan but it's called the Alaska pollock. I guess and the thing is I think seek was in listened to us or took our idea and ran with it but basically we have made a Tortilla in crusted chicken. This is a Tortilla incrusted. Pollock which I didn't realize anyone ever called anything pollick. I thought pollock was just like fake crab the other white meat even the other whitefish before you tasted the story with C. Cuisine. They're the ones that made the salmon that we didn't like didn't they? Make one thing we liked and one thing we know I think this is like their redemption. I love it. You know what I like about it. It's like soap crispy and crunchy so it's Each belay has two hundred and forty calories. Six grams of fat seven smartphones. That's really tasty. That's like the best fish on the planet it is. It does taste like a fish. Stick to air. Fox did we airfreight or BEGA. How do we do it? I bet we have tortilla crested wild Alaska Pollack with smart ingredients. Oh Yeah do you see all the different things that goes on the cross. Yeah we named him so they are Yellow Corn Black Bean Jalapeno Chili tomato lime cumin Cilantro. Paprika they did not dial it in. I want more of that. It's Great Roy. Wheels aren't turning when the cameras. There are no cameras but when when the audio wasn't rolling I'll be eating more about if we had cameras rolling. Do you think we would do our little dance. In the beginning of the episode with the Music Lisa kind of has like a like a ninety s like Humpty Hump kind of thing. I don't have it. I don't know what you're no. No you did this did that. Jamie Jamie Shuffle. Bought my head your head. Okay all right. We should have cameras rolling. Okay moving on. This is an exciting product for a knife. I WANNA cut these. This is fun because I grew up as a white castle fan. I'm a New Yorker. My Dad and I like if we were sometimes alone on father's Day I don't know why we would be but a couple of years I remember. We went to white castle father's day when was like seven. I don't know where my mom and my siblings were. But we were there now. They're making Vegan White Castle. Black beans sliders stats are incredible but little little side. Note here about me. Because I'm from the West Coast. I've never been to white castle. "And thank you for that gorgeous introduction. So well, thank you for all that you do now. Helen. I was watching FOX business news last week. And they were in Louisville Kentucky as the lead off to the Kentucky Derby that ended and they might have called it. The Kentucky goat rodeo the way the whole thing ended yesterday with the disqualification of the leader. But but marina, your your friend who who interviewed Maria. Did you see this interview, by the way that I'm about to speak? Okay. Okay. Okay. Are you sitting down? Yeah. Okay. So Maria Bartrum Romo was there in Louisville interviewing I don't know whiskey people in that and who happened to come by for just an impromptu interview. But Jamie, Jamie diamond your buddy our buddy, right? So he's there at Helen. He's talking about how how people have to be more accountable, and how our country would be better if while people were more accountable, and trustworthy and how he really support. It's women in the workplace and honesty and integrity. Helen. I all I thought of was I hope not watching this because poor Helen's gonna have she's going to have a stroke if she watches this is ridiculous. So brings me to this week as you know. And I sent you the emails there were five hundred and fifteen websites that were identified. As being unreliable bad people by this Merrimack college, actually, one professor at Merrimack college who has a organization called open source whose website is one blank page. There's nothing on it. She identified these five hundred and fifteen websites was then picked up by the Poynter institute. There's bastion of journalistic integrity. Liberal that carry though, you know, what legally, and you know, this whole issue in school and stuff like that. I mean, if somebody's trained enough and can legally possess a firearm. They should mostly taxes and things like that. But I grew up. In Chicago public school system. And I mean, you probably know all I do, you know, the violence and everything that goes on and. Did he took him by the way, the Alabama movie is the the only thing that in like was that he was an artist. And what he did was he put like a metal rod in sand with lightning in the. Okay. He would put it. He would wait for a lightning storm near the beach in Alabama. And he would stick a lightning rod in the stand. And when the lightning would strike, the lightning rod, it would it makes like would make glass in the sand because of the heat, right, and he would pull them up, and they'd look like a little spider kind of glass thing coming out he policy, and he sold them in his art store and she picked him over the Ted bundy's over, Mr. what's he what do they call him? Dwight because your time is up. I'm just saying I want that sound like, please. Science in the medical field is fat is advancing so fast because of a supercomputers, and it's helping us cure cancers and cure different diseases at a at a high rate. Well, it's also allowing doctors and scientists to alter DNA in human embryos, this is happening. Okay. This is now happening Chinese scientists. And doctors are saying we're we're doing this now because a lot of countries have rules against this. You can't mess with the DNA embryo, well that leads me to the question of this is happening now. And I'm thinking twenty years less than twenty years, you're going to be able to pick the hair color of your child, the sex of your child, and the you know, the eye color those little feature the physical features. But I think the other thing there'd be able to what the scientists. And doctors want to do is to be able to go in and say, okay, let's take that leukemia, gene outlets. Make sure the DNA is strong against cancer. And they and they take away. Well, we don't want him to be overweight. So we'll. Take the fat, gene. Gene in there. You take that out? Where do you stand? Yes. Or no on this technology, and would you use absolutely not for physical things. But for like, I had a serious allergic reaction animals died from for a series disease. If they could go in and sightsee that my kid has that same disease in them. And they take that out. Absolutely. I've said the same exact thing, I said, absolutely. There's no question. All those things do not the haircut. I don't care. I don't care was hair color or color. But all those other stuff do it. If my mother and father had the opportunity to go back, and the nurse could have said this part of him is way too small we can link that I'm on board. Do you think your class? Was so awkward for me. Hey, let's all go shower. Oh, you would have to add the Italian, gene. Oh is that right to make it larger got here? Tacky panhandle the Torres. Shop. Oh. Oh. So much. Oh, I I like the idea to tell you the truth. I think this because I had the same conversation with Leland, and Dave and they were like, no, no, that's a slippery slope. And I'm right. If you had intelligence child that has live Volga or leukemia that they could have gone ten years ago and change the, gene. So they don't have it. Are you kidding me? Of course, you do that you go in there and change that. I don't know why you wouldn't do. They don't mess with an embryo, I don't know. I don't know don't mess with the whatever I'm like. No, no, no, no, no. If you can solve the disease before we get started in your child, you absolutely do it. Now people are gonna go overboard. They're gonna pay a lot of money and go and to tell you the truth. I have two friends that were a lot like me in high school. They were they were that's one way to pay they dated a lot of girls and they ended up with four girls each as daughters, and I think that if you can change the sex. I think on the fourth goal around if they can go, okay. How much is it to make the boy, let's do that fifty grand done. Not that having all girls is not. That's God punishing you for a horrible human rights. Exactly. What that is. That's exactly what that is. Hey, sean. I'm sorry easier. For example. "Said Jamie, Jamie. According to what I can see here. J A N E on rental property that was one of the discussions. We had in the last hour. Ten thirty one exchanges, Delaware, statutory trusts. And jeff. And how croak? You are basically able. To skirt the entire income tax issue. No, capital gains tax, no, recapture tax. Yeah. Look at it. They're listening to it. I should say on the podcast lots to talk about today. Roth IRA's are they correct? Are. They the right thing for you to do and had slogged at a pretty good job of talking about stuff. You need to be thinking about now that we're heading into the last couple of months of the year. But I start today with this. I got a call from an adviser they used to work from years ago. And he says he was listening to the show was he yesterday or. Yeah. I think it was yesterday. Where I reported that ninety percent of municipal bonds are down so far this year and seventy three percent of all bond funds have also lost money. And he wants to know what to do. He's getting some flack from some of his clients. Evidently. And I said, well, I haven't you read any of my stuff over the last twenty years. Of course, you have taught you how to do it. So I referred him over to actually use a twenty fifteen article by Dr Wade fowl who is the so-called retirement researcher. I rely on propeller heads for most of my information. My job is to communicate it to you all I don't spend my life in a laboratory a finance lab. With excel spreadsheets and Monte Carlo simulators that would bore me to death. It's a lot easier to just find the information after the fact from people that do it enjoy doing that propeller had stuff. So and fouls done a lot of work on on this so referred him to this one substituting income annuities for bond funds in retirement. He had a whole white paper on why bond funds don't belong in retirement plans shocked, by the way. The financial planning and retirement planning community. But it didn't shock me because I've studied this because of people like him and us and Milewski and all of the other prop heads that studied this stuff far better than I could ever the finance professors and economists and so forth. I mean, there's been a good Jillian articles written on this. It's not hyperbole anymore. It was when I talked about at twenty years ago. But it's not today. It's the real deal down steel. So here's what Dr foul had to say about that. Quote, after a lifetime focused on maximizing wealth or beating a benchmark your goal becomes creating sustainable income over an indefinite length of time that would be the rest of your life. Retirees must manage risk. Like market performance along with their own longevity and the uncertainty about their spending in retirement. His experience he goes on with retirement income has led him to conclude quote. That income annuities have the potential to improve retirement outcomes over what is possible with bond funds. I know as a former broker financial planner and retirement specialist that is a sacrilegious statement to brokers, financial planners and retirement specialists because they have been trained in the art of retirement, planning utilizing stocks capital B bonds and cash. But Dr foul is defying that logic in this financial piece, titled substituting income annuities for bond funds in retirement, if you have bond funds, and there are trillions of dollars out there in them. You need to rethink their utilization in a retirement plan because the outcomes will be according to Dr foul better. That's PF a U F O U L. Here's what he says. Lifetime risk can be framed simply as the possible.

"Did some extensive research. So what does that mean you you hit Wikipedia Google? Right. There you go. That's right. Because we were talking in the last segment that how this Halloween movie is number one for the second weekend in a row. They've now made in ten days. Hundred and twenty six point seven million dollars in the story said newly cost ten million to make said what is that possible? Madly did extensive research and absolutely true. Ten million dollars to make this movie seems unbelievable. So Jamie, Jamie Lee Curtis is in it. Yeah. Well, she didn't. She obviously took a key must not have taken a salary. She wants to take an so Halloween was number one stars born was still number two at fourteen million that you know, I keep wanting to see that have you seen the I I went very good to kind of drag the little bit toward the end. That's what people the what I've heard is. The first part is wonderful Gogga's. Great. He does a great job actually, Bradley Cooper. And they said the thing kind of it. Did it did kind of get repetitive for you want to see it? But that's still number two venomous number three. But the Camacho making moves for ten million up to one hundred twenty six point seven which studio assist. They must be. Anyway, so a taxi medallion guys are getting a break. No, joe. Yes, they're going to get a twenty million dollar break. I mean, this is the least I don't have a problem with this city's gonna lose money on this thing there. There are fees that the taxi owners owners have to pay yearly inspection fees renewal fees and things like that. So they're going to wave a lot of these fees. So that you know, it's not going to really help much. But it's better than nothing is about the only thing the city can do. Well here. Let's see the city usually requires tax to pay sixteen hundred and fifty bucks every two years. Yeah. Ah five hundred fifty dollars a taxi medallion renewal. Every other year is sick six ninety dollar inspection fees. Ten dollar, we know, blah, blah, handicapped accessible and Diane owners was paying other five hundred and forty dollars. What what they're doing is trying to help out the medallion guys because the getting absolutely killed by Uber lift and the others. Yeah. Guys are heavily in debt because it was I mean, these medallions USA cost two million dollars, which I always thought was a little ridiculous. So, you know, if you find you say, you say, it was a million dollars a new financed it. And now the thing is worth eighty thousand or whatever five hundred thousand you you're a lot of money in the whole here. Listen to this seven this. According to the New York Post seven for hire drivers three of them cabbies have committed suicide because of their ruined finances since November seven th there's there's no way out of it. Wow. Again, if you if you paid a million dollars for your medallion, and it's worth two hundred thousand three hundred thousand what are you gonna do? Hey, tell me how disappointed you where? When the news came out on Friday. I mean, you and Michael Riedel who by the way is off to the you guys were. So hoping that the pipe bomber was a lefty guy sending out. It was a false flag operation he really was just trying to make Republicans look bad and it came out. There was a big Donald Trump supporter. You must have been crushed air you go with your fake news. Again, you re. We that was one possibility there were a number of possibilities. Everybody assumed this guy was going to be right wing. But hey, you never know it as it turned out. He was simply a nut. Lobotomy ask you this one. Yes. Could he's his anger have actually been fueled by the Democrats. He could could he have done what he did. Because of what the Democrats have done as opposed to what you think is. He did it because of what Trump has said. So he he didn't send Maxine Waters a pipe bomb because Trump called your low IQ is because she maybe maybe her comments. Yes. It's her comments in the democratic attacks on the White House. Maybe that is what fueled Sanger as opposed to using. Well, he was this anger, and he was prompted by Trump. What did George Soros do? Well, he funds a lot of these democratic projects projects probably paying for meals on the caravan go again that's been proven false. He has it. But you just continue to spin again. But he does fund a lot of these democratic hit jobs. So that so so it's their fault that they just saying I mean, I'm just saying you only look at things one way. Well, I mean, the one way is that it was a Trump supporter. So obviously, you're just praying that it was not a Trump supporter would have been better. But. And Michael Moore put out a video of this guy. This guy's awake. Oh, heaven, filming this guy. Do we give Caesar CEO? 'cause the guy's name is the Florida guy charged with sending weather saying fourteen bombs, and you're going to try they hope to try New York. Not florida. You see job? He was a DJ at a strip club. That's what he was doing his DJ at a strip club. It was spinning records closed. Exactly. Anyway. And he wasn't. He was living out of his van. Well, sure making bombs in his van well, Michael Moore caught him at a Trump rally, and he was part of this crowd..

Exa weren't expecting that? So we asked why the eagles offense is struggling the season. And we gave you bunch of reasons dogs the offensive line. Whatever Freddie Mitchell says it's because they don't have him. And then Freddie Mitchell had his mentioned gotten into by fan. I bet they did. Weeded Moses said it says the biggest bust of all tied the made one good play in Freddie, Mitchell said back to Moses says the virgin living in his mom's basement, John isn't that isn't that? Like, that's the go-to for trolls to say you live in your mom's basement because there's a lot of tools that don't live in their mom's basement. They just our girls netter played the game Charles used that last week. He did on the false. They had a mom. Yes. Right. It was false thing. Now, the listener portion of tweets and tax also called the police cover your ears portion. All three of them have expressed. Wanting to come back some guy in northeast Philly that would love that. Yeah. Some Bill Bill Sommerfeldt says so what point well? Mark stuffy, I p acknowledged the amount of sacks that Wednesday's responsible for the fumbles and the sacks of the things that no one wants to acknowledge the greed. Not all sacks of the fall line. Peter's even kind of rolling the ball too long earlier this year. Kyle Wilson you beat the lowly giants in the homers. It can't be objective say we're back on track. Look at the falcons the colts. The giants not exactly murderers row. Andrew davis. Surprised with the wet stuff? The quarterback has always gotten all the credit or the blame. If you wanna rag on the romo's of the world for the same issue. You have to apply the same standard to wins and five oh fastback says given the injury to Barnet guys are the eagles just in the lost season category. At this point not yet. It's getting close. No, no, I gonna have to I would have to and I would need somebody else in the east to start the one away. Right poured themselves away from the rest of the pack. I mean, they're their game and a half behind the Redskins with two opportunities the plate originates, even if they lose in London, which I can't imagine. I do not want to go into by week on a loss. I can imagine it even now I can't even if they did. Right. Like you said because you can if you win the tiebreaker now you can win the division at nine and seven you just need to beat them twice. If this division. Wasn't it wasn't as mediocre or bad as it was. I it's over the season's over forget. How we don't even make a trait right and long as you get into the playoffs. If all the sudden, you playing great, and you're in your addition at the trade deadline helps your offense and turns into a different team, and Doug it's confidence in this offense line figures it out I'll take this team playing well over anybody as long as we add somebody. I just saw some Mona monitor here. Yeah. They said that the Sean Jackson the last two games his snap percentage has gone down. Is that right? You know, who's been back to the last two games? Jamie. Jamie's not his favorite quarterback wide. Save show. Him was the Tampa. He'd be traded back out. So I'm saying is we got a week right before the trade deadline next Tuesday is right next Tuesday. "Aikman said tonight that FOX really delivered a great game. Vikings Rams on their debut on FOX. It really was a good football game. Right. It was a great atmosphere. Great crowd Coliseum Rockin Goff. Like almost a perfect game right for sixty five five touchdowns incredible passer rating, the guy went off. And I mean once again cousins, though, I gotta tell you the guy. He's always in it. But it never seems to be that he wins. It just as the guys in it. And then doesn't win it. That's all I know. Tristan Thompson sees the LeBron Lewis Cavs is the team to beat in the east. He basically said that Boston at home game seven loss Philly. You guys almost got swept Toronto we already know the story. So until someone takes us down. There's not much to say. Do you think they have any shot at all with algebra n-? James? I really don't. I mean. But I kind of like what he say. He's speaking the truth on a few things like about the raptors that have like, but Philly, but he doesn't have that. That guy who did everything for their tobacco up when the game and actually style and he barely does. He is kind of speaking truth Jimmy, Butler trade rumors the walls asking prices. So Steve how about they ask the Sixers for Ben Simmons? Oh is that an easy one for Elton brand? Is you got that one right over GM LeBron will play in the Lakers preseason opener. According to Luke Walton. Now, everything he does will be story if he plays in a preseason game. That'll be national news. Lonzo ball cleared contact after his knee injury. But unlikely to play in the preseason at all how about this fans can purchase fourth quarter of NBA games. So the NBA announced that fans, and I could purchase a portion of an in progress game to watch they'll be able to purchase the remainder of any out of market game on league pass. Once the buzzer sounds to end the third quarter. The price will initially be a bug ninety nine whether the van buys it at the start of the quarter or the last thirty seconds. By December two league glands are giving the option of buying by the start of each quarter for a yet to be disclosed price. We imagine a situation where a fan has dinner at eight o'clock and only has thirty minutes can choose to buy a half hour of a game. I imagine another situation where the first three quarters of your games are unwatchable. And that's why the fourth quarter is the only one to watch. That's the scenario that I envisioned when I think about the plan, which I liked by the way, I think it's smart. I very smart. But the reason why they're doing it is because they know the first three quarters of their games are on watchable and the and the fourth quarter is what people watch I is in bad. And then the second and third gets bad. And the fourth is all that matters. That's all that matters. So what do you think of the story of the Wailers jerseys coming out and Carolina gets embarrassing? I don't like it at all. I love that jersey. I think it's iconic. I it's one of the great jerseys. Idea because for twenty years, they've completely disregarded it down there and Carolina. It hasn't even been a mention or a thought of that jersey. So now this new guy that owns the team he comes in. And after twenty years is gonna decide. All right. Well, let's let's go back to our heritage. And let's for a couple of games go for a nice money grad, and where are whaler Jersey's a couple of times. While we, you know spit in the face of the people of Hartford Connecticut who lost their team twenty years ago. I just I don't like it at all. I love the jersey. Love the whaler jersey. It's great. It is great. I wanna wearing them this year. I have one of those tomorrow. I don't know if you knew this or not, but I'll be going on with the great, Dan Silio, Matt right morning at nine thirty eastern six thirty Pacific on the station in San Diego. So how do you like that? Mafia? Did you know I was doing the Bonecrusher show, the not it's awesome expanded the west coast there, you know, we gotta love out there for the west coast. So he's. He's been out in San Diego killing it. And he's on the Entercom station there and carry the Padres. And of course, he played at Miami. The Bonecrusher he knows all about the U. He's all about the use it Kane day freak beyond with him allegedly tomorrow. If I wake up at nine thirty eastern six thirty Pacific watch the golf while you're talking to him. There you go get a jump out of bed. Grab a little Java. And then have a little session with the Bonecrusher. Then I'll go hit the weights gotta get my workout in get my swear von there's a lot of leg up at the club. Wait are we on the air? Did you see the? I saw the top shooting teams allegedly in college basketball going into the season, which is far away. But as you know, I love basketball, so but not more than shop. The best shooting team. This year allegedly is Virginia than North Carolina Gonzaga, Marquette Perdue is Marquette with your boy woes. And then Purdue Feth TCU sixth Nova is that our boy from the guy. They coached a pet down at TCU now. Jamie. Jamie Dixon Downer. Villanova seventh didn't they win? Another title. Kansas state eighth Loyola of Chicago night. Do you think that will last that whole thing continue it will not as the old lady still around as far as the way, I handled that was about to be a I know how you handled it. I I believe so and and that'll be you won't even hear them this year. And Auburn is operatives the ten best shooting Bruce Pearl with a clean, bro. They looked real good. When they lost by fifty in the first round of the NCAA tournament last year Cristiano Renaldo will face man, you after all after the UEFA one match ban number was kicked out it turned into an international ends. There was no way he was missing that manual game. When is the man you game? I probably a couple of weeks from now since he's gonna miss the one before that John is in Birmingham, Alabama on the jocks. Hey, what's going on buddy? Hey, johnny. Hey, man. I I I'm calling them and. Kirk cousins, man. Yeah. I just once again, I'll say it. He's a disappointment to me. Just he's always in it. And then like, I said never wins it. Yeah. Yeah. I think he's been getting a pass for so long, man. But you know, I think he's like the Knicks. Tony Romo all sets. No results. I think he is is all money. No results. He gets more money than anyone I've ever seen in my life that doesn't win. Absolutely. So I'm sick of it. I'm just gonna call it for what it is. The guy makes way too much money for not producing. I mean, he throws touchdowns puts up big numbers as all the stats, but he doesn't win. I mean, that's it begins. Here's what you do when you're up against that guy in a big game. Go run to the window bet. The other way and make a bunch of money because he never wins games. And then I was another example of it. It didn't matter. What he did? He kept getting them within three. And then they still got their Ashby. Just every single time. I mean, there you go. So it's the same old story with that guy. If you ask me. So I was looking at the NHL rankings now by their goalie tandem. So the the starter and the backup they've ranked Nashville number one. Then of course, that's a peg Rene and sorrows the young twenty three year old backup the docs, number two with Gibson. And then Ryan Miller at thirty eight the blue jackets with Bobrovsky our number three with a corpus sallow the twenty four year old Finn. Number four is the lightning with Vassilev ski and Louis Dominique is the bag of and then five the Bruins, of course, with Rask and hall walk. I think I owned her fans might a warn you about how lock he opens up like a sieve the goal nights. Marc Andre Fleury and Malcolm sue ban are sects the kings seven with Jonathan quick and Jack Campbell jets are eight with Connor. Bach. I love that name hell Abok and. Lorraine Brousseau is the backup Washington withhold be and Phoenix Copley. And then they're nine they win the Stanley Cup. But their ninth San Jose shards Martin Jones and Aaron del our tenth Canadians with Kerry various Ivan, Erin about Kerry Bradsby being a greatest goalie on the face of the earth for so long. I'm gonna hurl. It's all I ever hear about is how great Kerry prices when he plays for like commie when he plays for a whole season. Right. Is he ever done? It is. He just always injured is he not always injured that guy seriously Brown in Boston on the hub. You're on CBS for Scotty underspent this out in thirty seconds. True story back in two thousand four my father was on his deathbed. Okay. Yankees. Beat the Red Sox nineteen to eight. Okay. Nineteen to eight. And then he died at two in the morning. The next day. The Red Sox win the next game against the Yankees. And my sister says, yeah, it has Babe Ruth in a headlock. They're going to win eight straight. They're gonna win the whole thing while they won eight straight won the World Series. They had a trial with the Yankees won three forty one to Korea. But anyway, that's what I wanted to say about this by in the last five minutes father used to say to me just watching basketball is the last two minutes, and that's all you have to see, but I love watching the whole game. And I love you guys. And you guys are the best thing. So let me a great story. That's a great story about your dad. Also is dad after the Red Sox came back and won that he came back from the dead. He's doing fine now and he's a season ticket holder. All four teams in Boston. Now is a great story. It would have been better though with my ending. Wouldn't it be great? If the guy came back from the dead after they did it to the Yankees. And he was like he came back, and there was like a resuscitation, and he was fine. That would have been that the story would have been really something. I'm sure the way that people partied in Boston that night in two thousand. There's there's a chance that there was people who thought that dead people were alive that night. I don't have like so you don't like watching the NBA. I really do you. Did you like it because you watch more MBA nowadays than you ever did? Yeah. Look, I mean playoffs, obviously, I'm in when that's, but I I can't watch the first three quarters of these games never liked hockey. But he watches more than any human being alive on once. He got in with us. And then after seven years at he's like, I don't even I still don't think he's a hockey fan. I three quarters of the NBA game or an absolute waste of time. It really is. It really is. But I still watch it. I mean, who's the swat the game. I watched against because I love basketball. So I just can't get enough of it. I don't even think the NBA really I'll be honest with you. I don't even think it's good right now. I do have you know, it's top heavy. There's there's a couple of good teams. Not even good. There's only one great team. Everybody else is good at best. In the top heavy tier of it. And then everybody else sucks, literally. There's like the entire league. What is there like six? Good Dame's the product is awful. They get their most press from the day the season ends to the day season starts that whole that whole period the summer. That's when they get their most juice. It says here that you see we'll get full consideration for a college football playoff spot. Just like they did in twenty seventeen when they shafted them. So that's a lie. Bill Hancock, who's one of the bags at the the executive director of the saying that they're going to get a full shot as it's called my ass in Spanish, there's four power five teams that are undefeated. They're getting no shot. Yeah. They're getting no shot. Thanks a lot Bill for lying all of us. Get the podcast in the morning number twenty eight roundabouts.

"What's enjoy next for Jalen a-rod. So maybe you too. We'll have children. Plus the hero from the waffle house shooting Ellen today at three on NBC four, then news for breaking down every twist of the DC mentioned murderers. You give me DNA. You can take that to the back and uncovering evidence that could change everything. So you think there might be someone else a news force special event tonight. It's six thirty. Thing we're in the business again fast, and so the teams and the push it to the absolute limits and sometimes ever and that that's what happens. Just just merged into the into the family thing, the hold alone. I'll even Barrett for that, right to Greece dot intense mania. Some like that. That just is an acceptable from the rice treks across the strategy at he is inside super supercars. Welcome to this week. It's tiny. Talk on regularises spec. Get with Craig. Reveal an interesting weekend, Greg, quite we can with father day and also hype. Everyone enjoyed they Father's Day a weekend. If it were applicable to them modest sport wise because we had India in the states with Scott Dixon closing Nava title that we had Daniel Ricardo and forty game retiring morass. There was some domestic racing young on here, which happened Winton with production cars, good to see grant Denia and Tony del Buto, showing speed and winning. But we're getting ready county up to San in two weeks time and it certainly looks like it'll be interesting rice zig, be showing plenty of form and obviously not quite the rookie card. Anyone thought it was going to be, and it's. Going to be a fascinating weekend to see if those drag strips at the grandstand and the fireside do provide a noticeable assistance to any of the guys out there. And of course, it's also Pat of this. Farewell. The falcon tour that everyone's on. And in this case it'll be falcon Zine old. Falcon liveries baps a few Mustang deliveries, inevitably falcons in falcon liveries is I think, how they wanna play it. Indeed. Yeah, there's big things plan, I think for for Baptist, but more than likely, they'll be quite a few on it exhibition at Santana's. Well. With the b. Obviously, Thailand being was the longest trek, the new guys, they know load grand prix is probably about the same length as in oval, trickling Zid be certainly had full wall. The falcons did a bit of winning. And of course it was when walking shown with Scott by getting his face when the growing private speaking of the grand prix, the Deitz have come out for this year of rather twenty nine eight and they've moved it. So it's a week earlier than this year says the fourteenth seventeenth March, and it's as slightly as a week or so closer to the Adelaide five hundred which is only last weekend in February, going into the early days of March. So. Compression compressing Matama bits the quays teams. Again, we'll have raisins complain as I'm sure others around the country will as well. I think it's gone from mar rough meth seventeen days. Eleven days or something is the expected change in the in the calendar. Formula one have moved their dight. If as long as they, I feel Cape it too. I think it was a bar Randall. There was only one game plight or something like that. If that is the weekend, the grown praise on, then I think that would be great because she wanted on Ning round via fill season because you back know twenty pages in to the daily newspaper before you get your first photo story of particularly support races as the super Khazar on that stage space in the heroes on it's always a beta problem Melvin, no nineties. Thinking Suva Qasr other than sad news for Jamie, Jamie win Cup was going to be my his US racing debut at Laguna Seca Mercedes with Kenny Abon who, unfortunately, he's had to pull out because of some homeless that Kenny has. So Jamie, we'll have to postpone to another dight, but

"Pet is just home alone for long. Days while you work there's so, much value in using a pet sitter you know you're totally correct when you say. Exercise and companionship because those are two characteristics that. I think could actually prevent many. Of the sort of destructive, behaviors that we see from pets a well exercise a healthier pet, a pet with excellent companionship Is a healthier as, well I guess my next focus would be all right. Well if. Somebody says that makes sense I want? To get a pet sitter you know who should they pick because listen I'll be. Honest with you I've got a friend named Jamie Jamie? Absolutely loves, dogs and he's a great guy in fact he loves? Him so much anytime. He sees a dog, he'll happily receive, that saliva shower that they'll give him, when they're licking him in the face and things like, that and people see his love for dogs and they. Say well he'd be, naturally a, good pet sitter but that's not necessarily the. Case right just because you love animals that doesn't mean you'd be a great pet sitter correct. Exactly what I say is a love for pets is a star? But it certainly not all you need for a pet, sitter and I never liked to be an alarmist but, I get that, question a lot from pet owners have afraid who. Loves pits, or my neighbors. Just great with my dog why, isn't that enough and I'll give you a couple of examples where we please well we like to explain that someone can love pets but that, doesn't exactly mean, they have the educational background Or the business coverage to, give you peace of mind we, had? An example of someone who. Called us pitchers international looking for a pet sitter. But. The. Situation that happened was she I let a friend who was, wonderful well framed care for her cat she was gone on vacation and the free to come in one, day couldn't find the cat looked around a visually. Found the cat and the laundry area behind a. Washing machine shed a shimmy. The washing machine a? Bit to get the cat out which everything was fine until. The, next day she arrives and realizes that in doing, that she had dislodged the hose of the washing machine The entire second floor down into the first floor so we're talking, tens of thousands of dollars in home damage and the situation he has a. Professional pet sitter. Would have business covers that cover those types of defense so for just a liability perspective the professional was able to offer coverage that, a friend wouldn't but the same is true for the pet care. Knowledge a freak could love, your pet but could they may be recognized signs of bloat or were they know how to respond to emergency. Or apply I eight your were injured or stop a dogfight if were a dog park. So there's some other health concerns like, that that pet lovers can certainly love your, pet and like you were. Your own but they don't have the same qualifications or coverage that pet sitters can provide that's incredible story and we think about dogs all the time who have various medical conditions because I'm on, the veterinary side and people don't realize this but it's kind of rare for me to see a healthy pet and so because of that I, stay in this zone where I assume and naturally Inclined to constantly consider various medical. Conditions that may have and some, of them you just mentioned gloat a medical emergency that requires. Prompt medical attention and a dog fight again requires an. Emergency visit in the greater plurality, of cases and so when it comes to dogs who may have more chronic conditions a dog who is unfortunately? Overweight or who as a low thyroid or who has some immuno-compromised issue in. Your opinion what a professional pet sitter be. More appropriate choice for someone who wants the best care for their pet or, do you think well in those situations somebody that they know and like could. Be appropriate we. Definitely recommend pet sitters in those situations for pit to may have special dietary or exercise regimens uptick your health conditions need medications or, injections at the same time every day a professional could provide that. Sense of security that the, job is going to get done right at the correct Time and sometimes we can't. Rely on Brennan that same way no you absolutely can't, and these types. Of people who do this really dedicate their lives. It takes a special type of person. I think to dedicate, their life to giving care to others and particularly of a different species so when you have a pet sitter who does that I guess my question is over the fifteen years in your world is certain personality profile or a certain type of person. That you've met that she said now, this is a person who would, make an excellent pet sitter I think there definitely are there certain, traits obviously a love for pets. We see pictures, to be very selfless people they really know that they're going to his career dedicate their lives to pets? And the pet parents, we, also always caution, people who come to us and they say you. Know I love pets and I really think I want to be a pet sitter they also have to know that there's a business side their. Grueling hours they're going to be, conditioned that you don't expect so it takes a really determined person a person is well organized able to establish Boundaries and who's really willing to be a business owner because. You're carrying for pets but you also, have to operate a business and so definitely that passionate for pets combined with perseverance I think. And just the knowledge that it's, a business in so? Long hours you're going to be working on holidays weekends the time when most people are off of work that's when pet sitters have some of the busiest, times you know I think what you're saying is so vitally important. Because it affects most people I think what, you're saying affects most people. In the pet care industry particularly veterinarians are. Cannot be excluded from that I think about but in areas and the rigors of veterinary school and. How much information you are taught but one of the characteristics that, I think, is vitally important, that is really absent from the vet school experience is business. Acumen the idea that you will at some point in, your career you. May want to run a business or he may. Be involved in a business and so. Understanding that is really really key now does PSI provide informational resources to help people understand the types of, business that they will be running if they..
