the gathering will be high Bloomberg's Charlie pellet there Global news 24 hours a day on air and on Bloomberg quicktake powered by more than 2700 journalists and analysts in more than 120 countries I'm Susanna Palmer This is Bloomberg This is Bloomberg businessweek inside from the reporters and editors who bring you America's most trusted business magazine Plus global business finance and tech news as it happens Bloomberg businessweek with Carol massar and Bloomberg quick takes Tim steno on Bloomberg radio Hi everyone welcome to the weekend edition of Bloomberg business week We've got a packed show this weekend We're going to get a pulse check on the American consumer with a host of CEOs We've got the CEOs of H and R block the CEO of new balance and the CEO of Sonos we're also going to find out how the industrial giant carrier is overcoming supply chain snarls in a tight labor market Plus my co host Carol masser was in Panama this past week She was there for the Bloomberg new economy event called gateway Latin America We'll hear from her panel She had a lot of executives on it They talked about the key issues that are facing both developed and emerging economies All of that to come we begin with this week's cover story though The long slow death of Lehman Brothers is almost complete Bloomberg news reporters Luca de pauli and Jeremy hill co wrote the piece Jeremy and business week editor Joel Weber joined me and senior markets reporter Kitty greifeld to explain why there's still work to be done even 14 years after Lehman's collapse We're in some version of a sell off now Everyone's fearful that the bottom could fall out at any moment and things get much worse and here we are talking about the thing that kicked off a financial crisis all those years ago Jeremy how did you find a role in this story Yeah so as a bankruptcy and distressed debt reporter I'm always pouring through legal documents and looking for wonky court fights about this and that who is owed what and why they are owed it and as you said Luca actually got in touch with me about this case going on in the UK over these weird subordinated notes called ecaps and he's like sending me stories about how it's so interesting that these guys they got these scraps of debt for almost free and they might get a bunch of money in very complicated but underneath all of this are these people that are still in what are now small offices in the U.S. and in the UK that are kind of overseeing the corpse of Lehman Brothers They're pushing paper They're looking for good times to sell their remaining assets And as you said kind of eking out those last pennies from the estate And Jeremy you have a lot of great characters in here Let's start with Daryl ratigan who is he Daryl rattigan that was Luca spoke a lot with him He has been in charge of some property assets in the UK and has done a fantastic job from what we can tell because creditors there have done much much better than anybody expected So he was basically one of the people that was tasked with rather than dumping all of the bad property assets when we went bankrupt a kind of waiting letting those mature like a fine wine and then finding a good time to sell them So obviously there are a ton of bankruptcies every year As big as Lehman but what else has distinguished Lehman's long slow death The size is of course important The length is extremely notable because I mean we're talking about nearly 14 years here Bankruptcy is often even when they fade away from the headlines There's a lot of cleanup work to do But mostly we're talking a few years 5 years something Sears for example still going on in the background There's things to sort out there but I mean this is more than a decade We're talking about everybody has not forgotten about Lehman but I'm sure it wasn't aware that they still have an office space in the bowery savings bank building in midtown People still kicking Their whole life They're living and breathing Lehman Brothers to this day It is the cover story of the upcoming issue of Bloomberg business We can it's a great read when you're actually reading.

Peter Doocy Tangles With Karine Jean-Pierre Over Disinformation Board
"Peter doocy. A national treasure tangling with Kareem, everybody's a racist, but me, Jean Pierre, in The White House press briefing. Last week you guys said that you needed this disinformation governance board at DHS to make sure that freedom of speech is protected across the country and that these platforms are not used for forms of disinformation. So what changed? Look, the Department of Homeland Security, they began their statement repeating that the board had been intentionally mischaracterized, which is a little bit of what you were asking me. And they were explicit about what it does and doesn't, it does not do. It was never about censorship, policing, speech, or removing content from anywhere. It's function was to keep Homeland Security officials aware of how bad actors, including human smugglers, transnational criminal organization and foreign adversaries could use disinformation to advance their goals as secretary Marco said, he has asked former DHS secretary Michael chernoff and former DAG Jamie to lead a thorough review. This is the pause that I was talking about and assessment as members of the bipartisan Homeland Security Council advisory council. The board will not convene during that period, but the department's work across several administrations to address this information that threatens the security for our country is critical and will continue. So that work is going to continue. So if it's pausing because you think the Borg was mischaracterized, then the disinformation board is being shut down because of disinformation. Is that what's happening here? Look, I mean, the board was put forth for a purpose, right? To make sure that we really did a really did address what was happening across the country when it came to disinformation. It's just, it's going to pause. There's been a mischaracterizations from outside outside forces. And so now where we're going to do is we're going to pause it, and we're going to do an

"There was a big objection from the shareholders to Jamie Dimon's compensation It was a $50 million bonus that they were going to pay him They really objected to What did you think of that Look I think taxes ought to be more progressive And so Jamie diamond Jamie diamond and everyone else who makes a lot of money ought to be paying more in taxes There ought to be much harder for them to pass large fortunes to their kids But God if you look at what Jamie Dimon has contributed to the market value of the share owners of JPMorgan I don't think there's anything unreasonable about his being paid and making as much money in a year as a really great pro golfer And so I was surprised at those objections I think the way to get at issues of inequity is to have more progressive taxation more burdensome taxation on a state get rid of a whole set of loopholes but driving people out of leading public companies into the private sphere away from public companies I don't think that's smart strategy for our country Okay thank you so much Always great to have you with us That's Larry summers of Harvard our very special contributor here on Wall Street week Finally one more thought The unknown unknown That's what Donald rumsfeld warned about when he was defense secretary There are things we know things we know are issues but don't know the answer to And then there are the things we don't even know we don't know Right now investors face their fair share of known unknowns like where inflation is heading You know it's not going to be good for a while Whether we're facing a recession next year Every single American worker is going backwards right this minute Whether China's problems with COVID will continue our supply chain problems Clearly China's industrial might was slowed by the lockdowns What the endgame is for Russia's war with Ukraine I think the off ramps have gotten slightly narrower And of course whether we're facing another wave of COVID Cases are rising hospitalizations arising But those are the known unknowns Congress has now added an unknown unknown to the list we need to be worried.

Caller: A Better Exit Strategy From Afghanistan Would've Prepared Us
"I think just looking back, having to have a better exit strategy from Afghanistan. Could have made some difference leading up to Ukraine. If instead of all the military equipment that we left behind in Afghanistan, we're given to Ukraine. What difference are we looking at right now? Well, I think the difference, first of all, over 7000 troops in Russia have already been killed. That's a conservative estimate. That's a staggering loss of troops. I was reading something this morning, Jamie that we didn't lose that many marines that he would Jima, and we lost thousands of marines, Russia has already lost more. Why not give continue to give zelensky everything he says he needs short of the no fly zone. We understand that's a nonstarter. But why not give him the MiGs? Why not give him the fighter jets? Why not give him everything he can use to try to hold back the Russian invasion and save his country?

Why Joe Kent Felt Called to Run for Congress in Washington State
"If you live in Washington support this man Joe can't for Congress dot com that's Joe can't for Congress dot com 20 years serving this nation also his wife Shannon paid the ultimate price in Syria killed by the ISIS jihadists explain to us for millions of listeners across the nation. Why you've decided to not just have the quiet life you've bled enough for this nation? Why are you serving it again as a civilian Joe? You know, really, that's what I intended to do after my late wife was killed by resigned from government service and wanted to just come back here to home to the Pacific Northwest to raise my kids. But the way that the last election was stolen the way that the left weaponized all the violence of 2020 using antifa and BLM, I realized that our country was at war. It was just a war back here at home, and everything that I've seen since Biden was installed has really pointed to the fact that we are almost under totalitarian control and seeing how Republicans will not fight most Republicans or the rhinos will not fight. These are the same people that Thornton president Trump for his entire four years that really led to my wife being left in Syria after Trump tried to get us out. These people will not defend us. So when my representative Jamie hurry about their voted for the impeachment of president Trump, I knew that it wasn't a matter of, hey, is this the best thing for me to do right now? It was a matter of I'm being called to serve again to go and fight because this isn't politics as normal. We are at war and we need to be going to war against the left and against the rhinos.

Rep. Jamie Raskin Makes Outrageous Comments, Calling for Sean Hannity's Testimony
"He sat on the at least the first impeachment committee even the second perhaps against Trump He sits on the current Pelosi stalinist committee It's all very interesting for somebody whose family is notorious for their viewpoints And so he's very interested in having Sean Hannity Testify in front of their committee Cut 6 go Well Sean Hannity is being has become a figure of interest because he's a fact witness Obviously to the planning that preceded both the attempt at a political coup on January 6th and also apparently organizing for the insurrection And let us stop right there The only way this guy can do this Is because the constitution protects him The idea that Sean Was a witness to the planting to the planning of a political coup In the organizing for the insurrection these are outrageous comments By this Marxist These are absolutely disgusting and outrageous

"See i'm the firm believer in the fact that the theory the idea that success leaves clues always sometimes have to do is go be those investigators to dig it out to find what those clues were so that we don't overlook because sometimes those clues might be one of the major building blocks for you to take your business your life everything that you've always wanted up to that next level and beyond if you don't take this time for reflection and there's no better time to do that and right now if you're not taking that time for reflection i think you're really losing out on a major opportunity dig into all that was great dig into all that sucked dig into everything. Pull out the lessons. Good or bad. Ask yourself better questions of. Hey what is it. That i can now accomplish. What am i now in the in the process of actually accomplishing and actually setting myself up for take some of those lessons. Take that knowledge. Take those experiences and recognize where you can make so much difference. Whether it's good whether it's bad the good ones compound on that make it even stronger. Make it even more impactful. Add one two three five ten percent to it the outcomes. The didn't get you what you wanted. Look for the opportunities to improve them. And i'll tell you a little secret here. Those right questions. I e. What's the opportunity here right now. We will quite literally find those opportunities. Your brain your training it to do that. You know when. I look upon the year that we had here. I started a brand new internet show and let me tell you there was a time where jeez. I really didn't think that i could ever do anything like that jamie. You can't get out there and no one wants to listen to you. No one wants to hear you. Nobody's going to listen to your show etc etc etc. What did i do though. I put those ideas. Those crazy thoughts aside and we started. We started back in may early may of this year now. What was really cool when we started out. Yeah we were a little less polished than what we are now. Hell we thought we were going. Live on zoom and yeah nothing was happening. We ended up recording it. Fortunately so we were able to re share it out after but it wasn't exactly what we expected. What's great though. Is we dug into it. What went right. what didn't right. well. I'll tell you what went right with the show is that we got up and did it. We stepped up. We didn't hold back. We didn't chicken out and say oh. No one's gonna wanna watch this. No we absolutely went for it. What else went right is we started doing it. We started getting out there. The technology evolved. We got further faster forward. We moved ahead now. We're using stream yard now. We're absolutely kicking butt on this and we're having fun doing it. We don't have to sit and write out a whole description for exactly what we're gonna talk about mc we just go for it. We have an absolute blast. Doing it that comes from each and every time where we've had a discussion after the show. Hey what went great. What do we want to improve on. What can we do even better next time. That's the whole idea behind reflection when.

"You've got your host here Gina. J. And today I'm taking a page out of our insiders. League show the show that MIC, and I do every Friday and Saturday and I want to take a piece about commitment and customer service. It's what's included in this edition of. Jj Pine Welcome to this Saturday in Salt Lake how we were going this amazing Saturday morning today. We're GONNA. Talk about customer, service and. Commitment and what does it take to give at Andt? Standing Customs, says you know the business you've been to, and you just walk away in Florida at the level of service. You've gotten all when you walk into a coffee and they know your name and they ask, heyday is all. When not what's going on that just want to help. They just want to serve you even if it means giving business away from their business, and you walk away thinking home, all my God that businesses amazing they just. Help me enough. Even I couldn't sell me product. And what is it that gives what is it that gives that amazing level of customer service, and then the next part of tonight show and talk about commitment you know. What is it that you committed to what what can? What is commitment few opportunities? Does commitment create that it's GonNa. Be An ask. welcome to Jamie will light from Canada. He delivered. He's amazing. Web I yesterday as well as you. WHO MISSED IT? I'm sure they'll be a reply. Jamie Oklahoma today, brother doing and we're going absolutely sounding thing. It's Friday right that's and that's something pretty darn excited to be happening right now. I'm going to be having my little gin. My Little Negroni coming up soon so I'm pretty excited about that. Why because it's celebration for what this incredible last month and a half is provide almost two months. Months now it's been amazing. What's really stuck out for me? Is Some of the exceptional customer service that I've experienced getting some new platforms working with certain platforms to make the Webinar happen bringing some of the content together doing all the work in what I got the great great great opportunity of experiencing with some absolutely phenomenal outstanding massive complete value pack service that blew me away. Away I'm so happy to be able to report that and at the same time at the same time I'm getting some notes customer service out there that is certainly absolutely lacking the next part of it, the commitment that goes into anything the commitment that it takes to really bring that idea that thought that passion to life, and then doubling down on yourself on that investment into you. You to really bring whatever you've wanted forward. It's exciting. You know we've got some good news, but I wanNA start out with just a little bit of an idea, a thought, maybe even a little bit of a question, so a very dear friend of mine she was. You know working with a fairly large company. They had a foundation all that sort of stuff and she was. Threw herself through her own business and whatnot, making monthly contributions really out standing awesome thing to do absolutely amazing things have changed a little bit. Some things have come up with. You know some things holding back in all that it's like Hey, I've got a scale those back for a little bit here. I've got I've got a repurpose without money I think we can all really appreciate that right now. She reached out to that company and they said well. You know what that's not a part of us. That's someone else, and that was it so she's like okay. Thank you so much totally get that totally understand..

"Life has an incredible way of giving us exactly what we need for me recently. That need that absolute desire was knowing that I had to move on that if I wanted to get my business. The business that I know is so incredibly important to me that if I wanted to get that business up. Running launched and really crushing it. I had to make some pretty serious decisions now. A lot of that decision came from the amazing program that I had attended over the last three days last week it was Kirwin raised nail. It and scale it man this program it rocked my freaking world. I don't say that lightly I've been exposed to a lot of stuff. Heck lot of you know. I've worked with the Tony Robbins Company. Hell I've been one of their master and platinum coaches. I've been one of Tony's business results trainers who takes what Tony shares in business mastery and trains it out to clients. I've seen some pretty awesome stuff out there and Kirwin stepped it up to that next level. He showed me what was possible. He got right into the weeds. He got really clear on what steps needed to be taken for me to actually take my business to take my business and scale it to the level that I've always wanted to. I started my business back in late. Two thousand fourteen officially incorporated it back in two thousand fifteen and it's been something that's kind of been one of those things that's been on the back burner. It's always been there. I've worked with people. I've had clients for many many many years and what I recognize. Is this Jamie. You're playing small. You've got to stop doing that Shit. And you've got to get into the place where you're actually making the real true impact that you need to make. This was a game changer. For me and Kirwan's program pushed me to do that. I'll tell you why because there was always something missing for me it was that exact strategy mindset mindset is critical and I'm never going to take away from mindset hell I do a whole program on mindset called the gospel of your mind but what this was all about for me is number one recognizing the actual bio mechanics the quantum mechanics string theory involved in y your body feels what it feels in the actual manifestation of creating a state of creating positively of actually creating that desire that desire for money to actually come to you yes. There is science based behind this. That was a big Game Changer. For me the other thing though is really getting into the weeds and understanding what had to be done. Current shared such practical knowledge with me that once I had seen it quite literally once I had seen I can never unsee it. It was something that was epic. It was game changing and I knew quite literally man. I can never go back. I can never keep doing the same thing over and over and over because I'm going to quickly recognize that I'm frustrated that I'm not happy that I'm dissatisfied in what I'm doing not GonNa take anything away from the Tony Robbins Company. It's been a great company to work with. I've met some amazing clients. It has been an absolute Russian. My Life for me to recognize my full true potential. My full absolute capacity. I had to step the faulk up. It was absolutely time for me to change shit up and that's what happened at two. Am last Friday morning. What's really cool about this? Is there was a challenge issued and it was that challenge. That really got me thinking outside. I had taken all this knowledge in. It was three days of intense pack knowledge. I'm sure you've all heard the saying out there. It's like drinking from the fire. Hose with Kirwin. There was no fucking hose. It was like drinking directly from the hydrant itself. This man he stepped up he served. He delivered the team. The team big show to the. Kt Team you guys fucking amazing. They stepped up. They made this event to never ever ever forget. Here's the best thing about it. It was all done virtual now. Who says that WHO becomes a raving fan off of a virtual summit? I'm sticking my hand up right now. I know you can't see me. But I'm sticking my hand up right now and saying fuck yes. I am an absolute raving fan of this virtual summit because it filled all the gaps for me it was that actual practical knowledge. I mean we went and we created e books. We created a full five video marketing sequence. That I'm in the process of putting up right now. We talked about the nurture email structure. Exactly how everything's gotTa work and guess what there's not a whole lot of selling their guys. This was a big takeaway. It's about the selling. It's truly about the serving. That's one of the big pieces that stuck out for me. Current didn't make it about the selling it all. It wasn't about selling it. As a matter of fact he said don't make it about selling. Remember that you are the prize. You're the one your the thing that people desire. Keep that in your mind just having that there. That was a complete total reframe for me because I got thinking like fuck. I am the prize. I have this shit ton of knowledge in my head and it's my duty. It's my absolute duty to get this out there to share it to go make a difference for the people that need this knowledge and to do it. I had to go full time. I had to really double down on my business. Because I'll be honest I was always telling myself those bullshit stories Jamie. You don't have the time right. You've got to deal with the robins clients. You've got to do this. You've got to do that. You just don't have the time to do all that shit Friday morning at two. Am THE GAUNTLET. Dropped quite literally. It was the change in everything. I stepped away from that certainty right that you know that that money. That's coming in and trust me. It wasn't a ton of money. Ray gave some certainty in in that aspect. What I did those. I got certain in myself. I wasn't holding onto all what was or what could be or. Oh I'M GONNA I'M GONNA have this money coming in. I recognize that I can do so much more on my own. My clients the clients that have worked with me for a long time. They've proven that to me. Why because they come back they see the massive value they take the massive foxing action and achieve their outcomes and achieve their results. I'm going to share this with you if you've ever thought about doing this on your own. I'M NOT GONNA say jump right in. I'm not going to jump right in but what I want to tell you to get really clear on the impact that you're about to have step into it really go to that place eliminate all that doesn't serve you. You can do this in your mind. Easily and effortlessly. Go to that place where you've already achieved all that you're setting out to achieve see it in your mind's eye and see how it resonates with you. What do you see? Where are you? Is it five years? Ten Years in the future is at one year in the future. Whatever it is. Go to that place where you now know that you've achieved everything you've ever wanted to achieve see it clear as faulk get it in your mind myself. When I did this exercise last Wednesday morning man I saw myself I would just finished speaking on stage. I walked off stage. My there's a frigging Red Ferrari outside go figure right. Red Ferrari but here I am. I opened the door. I noticed the texture of the leather. I could see the stitching. I can see the clarity. I could literally smell the smell of that car as I sat into it. I got right fucking clear on where my outcome was. And that led me to this place here. Now what am I doing with all this stuff? I've got some amazing programs coming out that I'm going to be sharing but before I even talk about that. I WANNA send out an invite. This is a partial invite but this is also a partial challenge in facebook. I've started a group of actually had the group for a while. It's called insiders elite. This is really truly an elite group of people. If you're looking to take on some of this knowledge if you're looking to get the inspiration if you WANNA call it that if you're looking to have some radical fucking accountability to achieve your outcomes and your goals if you need that final kick in the ass to get to that place where you know you need to be than you deserve to apply for this group. This is very much an application process. There are some questions that you'll have to answer to get in there because this group is all about radical accountability every single week. There are challenges. And you are expected to participate. Get this group isn't for everyone for those people who want to sit back and chill and just see what everyone else does. That's not what it's about. This is about stepping the fuck up and helping each other out stepping the fuck up and declaring what it is that you're now about to step into something magical happens when you do that when you actually declare it and you make it real you get that shit done. This is impactful. This is important and this might just be the exact kick in the ASS that you've been waiting for that you've needed to get your project to get your passion project out there. I want to challenge people. If you're up for the challenge if you're up for the task step up and do it get into that place. Go apply for the Group. It is outstanding and it will quite literally. Change Your Life. My life changing decision was to get on my path. My life changing decision was to absolutely believe in myself to get totally certain on my outcomes. My desires my passions and bring that shit to life. Why because sitting in my head? It's not doing any good getting it out to each and every one of you making a difference in your lives is exactly what needs to happen with this knowledge. Stay tuned. I'm going to be hearing more about this in the upcoming editions of the Jaime J. Podcast.

"Had The enlightenment with you. Know a company that unfamiliar with many of us. That are familiar with her. Maybe we're not but I had a bit of an opportunity to see some in behind the scenes workings of this company and you know on the surface so many companies out there they are portraying one thing. They're giving a certain image of how good they are. How much they do of how much impact they're making yet behind the scenes. It's a completely different story if you're one of those companies if you're one of those companies is doing that saying one thing but being the other. I'm promise you that Shit is going to come in. Bite you in the fucking asks practice. What you preach if you're out there preaching a message whether it's through a product or service that you're selling or whatever it is that you're doing then you best be doing that on the inside as well because if you're not congruent with what you're really actually doing within your organization if you're treating your people aren't your people that are working for you if you're treating them in a different way than what you're saying and what you're sharing right all that's GonNa do is cause a negative rift a negative vibe within your company right you got to walk your walk you gotTa Talk Your Talk. You've got to really do what you say you're doing. Don't be one thing. Don't be one person. Don't be one vision on the outside and be something completely totally different on the inside. The absolute worst thing you can do right. There's a lot of companies out there that really do walk their walk and talk. They're talking. You got a lot of admiration for those companies but the ones that say one thing on the surface and do something else on the outside that did give that different image or try to be a certain images that were try but those people that try to be one image when really. That's who they're not men. I got a lot of contempt for those companies. Stop fucking doing that. Stop fucking being in that place where you're trying to be something else. We're trying to share something else where you're trying to be someone else. That's not integrity at all. You are also who you associate yourself with. Think about that. We got to know. We gotta know who you are. Your Business is a reflection of you. Legit your businesses absolutely reflection to you so if you're associated with a business. It's doing something like that. Really checking with yourself. Is that the business you WANNA be with? Is the business of who you're really about. Because I'll tell you what I've been in that place but in that place where I was disccan grew int- with the business that I was working for. And you know what it was uncomfortable as fuck it was one of those things. Man It sucked. I was grumpy. I hated it. I was not in a good place about that. We're recognized that I had to do was make a switch. Make a change because I was so out of alignment my core values my beliefs. My strakes everything that. I was as a person everything that I believe with man. I wasn't in line with the way with the place with really what this company was doing and it made me uncomfortable. I suffered through that and I say suffered because I'm one of those people that wants to give her wants to give it my all wants to do. Everything wants to give one hundred percent where recognizes that? I had to stop doing that shit and it wasn't giving up. It wasn't anything to do with giving up whatsoever. What if all had to do with was getting in alignment with myself was checking myself quite literally? Jamie. Check your fucking self. Is this the person that you are? Are you congruent with With doing what? This company is doing the answer. I had to tell myself I had to get real. The answer I had to give myself was no right. It was just it was just it was just no. I had to say no. You gotTa stop doing that. You GotTa stop being this place. Stop fucking fighting with yourself. Stop being in that place where you are frustrated. Or You're absolutely just disconnect. Bruant with what it is you are with what it is. The company is with with all those sort of things look. It's like this sometimes. You GotTa burn the fucking bridges. Sometimes you gotTa shut that Shit down. Sometimes you simply have to move forward and have to move on you. Can't you can't let it go on? You can't let it stay and tell you why because it's it's the only way for you to allow room for new opportunities remember. I'm the opportunity guy talk about opportunities all the time. The only way you're gonNA make room make time make space for those opportunities is when you cut that old shit out of your life when you stop doing the things that you used to do and start doing the things that you know. You must do whether it's changing your position whether it's changing jobs whether it's just simply taking a new path whatever it is. Make sure that you're moving forward on your own terms. Put your stuff out there. Get clear on what you want if what you're doing you're who you're working with or who you're associating yourself with. Isn't what you fucking want than you've gotta change that you've got to make decision to sever the ties to pull out the hooks to get disconnected from that Shit. That doesn't serve you always of these all about service. Here's the other thing that you're in that place of congruency. If you know that you're you're doing something you're in a position you're in a job your doing whatever you're doing and you're not congruent with it find a way to close those doors. Burn those bridges and do it in a positive perspective. Now when I say burn the bridges. A lot of people think. That's the great big fuck you. I'm out of here I'm done. I'm not saying that's what it's about. I'm not saying by any means that this is the great big. Fuck you or anything like that because the doors and a positive perspective no that it was time for you to make that change. No that it was time for you to make that transition to get on with your life. Here's the other thing and this is maybe a little bit a little bit of information for myself something that I could have used in the past. Take the leap without fear. See the positive in it. See the ability of yourself. See Your own God given natural talents and fucking doubled down on those. We've all got within US many of us not all of us but many of us. I think sometimes we get afraid Hell. I've been there. I've been in that position where I've been afraid where I didn't WanNa move forward rose chicken shit to do something. So what did I do? I kept suffering. I can't putting up with it. I kept staying in that place where I was telling my story that it's GonNa get better. It's going to be okay. Everything's GonNa be alright. Fuck that enough is enough. Sometimes you simply have to believe in yourself. You've just gotTa absolutely double don't believe in your ability you're in this fucking place in your in this fucking position for a reason you've got to get it out there you've got to go do you. You've got to go be you and the only way to do that is to get out from underneath all that. Shit. That isn't serving you. Talk about support systems talk about cheerleaders and all that. Be Your own best fucking support system. Be Your own biggest cheerleader. Don't hold back. Don't fucking wait. Don't wait for someone else to do it or don't wait for someone else to give you that indication. Step the fuck up and do it remember. You've got everything that you need within you. You can be that person that GAL that Guy. Whatever fucking takes to go be whatever it is you. WanNa be remember this. This is from me. This is from Jamie J. I WanNa tell you something. I want to give this to you because this is a fucking piece of gold. You've got this. You've got the ability to do whatever you want to change however you want to change to be the best fucking version of yourself. Think about this. It's a new world out there right. This pandemic this pan-demic is really switched. Shit up it's switched shit up in a beautiful way because now is a new opportunity for a new life. It's an opportunity for business strategies. It's an opportunity for you to have it. Go find what you want to do. Go do something different. Go make that change. Go make that switch and double the fuck down on it and give it everything you've got because now's the time now's the time. Be The leader. Gopi the fucking leader of your own life. Go be the fucking fearless leader in this new incredible world. There's never been a better time. There's never been a better place goal. Take some sort of action to achieve all of your outcomes and more. This is it. This is your time. This is your place you guys know that I love you. Go Fuck and do this and go do it now..

"All right so it seems like a little bit of a crazy time starting to think about launching this new show right when we're in the midst of all this shit all this fucked up shit that's going on in the world but here's the thing if we can take control of that fucker right up there if we can absolutely go all in and say no. I'm GonNa tell you what the fuck is going on. I'm GonNa tell you what we've got to think when you take control of that because it's your mind it's all about the word you share. So what does the word? You're sharing right now. What are most you sharing? You know what fuck I am. Hearing fear fear fear fear fear. I'm afraid for this afraid for that. I'm afraid for all the shit that's going on right. Not Saying it's a bad thing right now because it sucks the world is kind of in a tough place right now. But I'm not going to allow this fucker. Go into that place of fear. Now what I'M GONNA do is. I'M GONNA take control of it and look for all those opportunities I've been doing. Some facebook lives lately with a couple amazing great guests and I'm looking to do even more. Which kind of funny is Friday? I got all juiced up. I got all jacked up and here I am going to launch it out there so I got a bunch attack. I got this going. I got that going. I launched. We go live and I totally fucked it up. And now here's the thing we talk about mindset and all that what could I have done? I could've beat the shit out of myself like I said man. This sucks you suck. You're terrible you're doing horrible but instead I thought is the opportunity you know what so. What so what so what? I don't get my life feet up there. I don't get to go live. But I get to take mic my co host on the live show. I take and promote his shit out there. See that's all it is. I told myself different story. I took command of this thing. That's going on up there. That's the number one thing that we've got to recognize right now in this world right we can be fearful. We can go lock ourselves away. Yeah I'm practicing the social distancing. I get that. I'm not cool. Cozying up to everyone like that. Get right in your face now. I'm taking the space. A making the space to be able to give that social distancing but at the same time. I don't see it as I can't do anything. I don't see it as man you know what I just gotTa get into my little Ziplock bag and shut the fuck up and not share anything out there. No now's the time to really get that out there to combat some of his garbage. That's going on these garbage fucking thoughts because if we follow the news. If that's all we did is all the news and had our death tracker up there. Oh my God book he said death. Yeah I did but I'm not worried about it because I'm not focused in on all those negative shit things that are happening. What I'm focused in on is all the amazingness that gets to come. Look at this look. At how fucking amazing it is out here now. I could sit in the house. I could sit in the office and do squat. I could sit on my ass. I could maybe create some. I don't know Shit for Instagram or this or that or whatever it is but I don't WanNa do that. I WanNa take full advantage of this beautiful world. There's no one around me. I'm not infecting anyone. I'm not infected myself and I count myself lucky for that. See there's UNMINED again finding the opportunities in the moment I don't have the covert and Oh my God. I'm so fucking thankful for it. It's all about our minds. We've got to control that soccer. We gotta get on it not to play into the fear the fear. What's that GONNA do? Let me tell you the fear is GonNa fuck with you. Fear is going to fuck with you and hold you back from living. That fear is GonNa get you in that mindset. Where you're not finding those ways where you can help out and you can make a difference for me getting this out here. Hey maybe it's just a small or maybe it's really a big thing because I can get this out and maybe I can make that impact in that one person's life to say you know what this is my time. This is my opportunity right many. You know that I'm a coach I do some I. I work with pretty amazing people out. There worked for one of the top coaching industries and the whole entire world and one of the things that I'm seeing people are getting caught up in that fear and that's why I wanNA share this out there. That's why I wanted to take this opportunity today and get something out there. That really counter ax. What the big thing is in the world. Look you can feel it. You can quite literally feel the difference in the world right now but we're going to. We're not going to succumb to that. We're not going to go to that place where we're getting sucked down where we're getting sucked off by that real negative thing because it's not about that we wanna go find those great opportune moment. This here this is a fucking opportune moment. If you're in your house if you're stuck there and I'm not saying for the people that have to be quarantined. That have to stay at home because hey you got to be home for fourteen days. Do that stay home right. Get better quarantine yourself for that fourteen days but afterwards get out temperatures. Not all that warm here. We're Celsius here. I'm filming up in Canada right now. I think the temperatures eleven twelve degrees but for me. This is fucking amazing. Why because I'm not stuck inside? I spend way too much time too much stuff inside and if that's all I did I would get into that mentality. That mindset of stock. I don't want to be stuck in. I don't want any of you to be stuck out there. All it takes is simple. Small little actions dog over there. That's Barkin way it's taken some actions to it's outside. It's probably taking a shit who knows what it's doing but nonetheless it's outside and it's having a little bit of fun. It's what you guys got to do right. Don't get stuck into this. Don't fall prey to that fear because when we do it has a profound effect on our bodies well we get into that fear mindset. It's going to bring all that stress onto us. It's actually GONNA fuck us up even worse. Some cases worse than Corona virus. The disease out there right now is listening to amazing doctor. Dr Pesic was listening to him today. He got on there and he talked about fear. Billions of people are falling ill to the fear that's happening. All that is is just a mindset thing. We gotta change that Shit. We've got to go out and do something different that interrupts that pattern of where we are. Tony Robbins. I was watching him. Today thing came up on success resources. Taking a look at him he was on with doctor. Dr Oz right so here he is. And what does he do? He gets on and he says to profound things things. I work with clients on all the time number one. Change Your physiology. If you're sitting there all stressed out all fucking sitting at your desk and frustrated and all that number one thing you can do stand the fuck up. Go do something different. Don't sit there in that same position and expect yourself to feel that you know empowered excited wonderful joyous way. If you want to feel that way you've got to get into the position that represents that feeling number two is your focus. My God fear fears all around us. Don't focus on fear focus on what you want. Focus on what it feels like after this shit is gone after the Shit is over. Because here's the thing. Psa PSA public service announcement. This thing isn't going to be here forever. Right this corona virus. We'RE NOT GONNA be stuck with it forever. We are going to get beyond it. We are going to get past it and when that time comes off fuck open up. But what I'm saying is if you're healthy if you're in that place you don't have to wait to get out to somewhere like this. You don't have to wait to get outside. You can go ahead and do it right now. There's something holding you back. Ask yourself that question. What's stopping me? What's really stopping me? Is it some sort of bullshit story? I'm telling myself here I am. I'm in a big city right. I'm in a big city. I can get out if I'm out in the country. I can get out no matter where I'm at. I can find someplace somewhere where I can. Socially distanced myself and I can be out there and enjoy this beautiful weather. The Earth everything. We're in spring right now. Things are springing up beautiful blossoms all over the place. It's fucking amazing. Don't let fear that has a hold on you prevent you from seeing all that beauty. Get out there go fucking enjoy. Go make your life a part of the amazing spring. That's happening consider this spring your life. Look things are changing. We're in the process of seeing something new. Come to life right now. Many of us. We don't know what it is but I'll tell you what don't wait for it. Go find it go discovered gold get out there and go live your fucking life so the other thing that gets me jazzed up as well is looking at some of these businesses who are going and making an impact right. That's a big game changer. Big Mindset Change. Your in itself. We can be those businesses at all. Well Shit. This is happening restaurants for example. I'm hearing about restaurants closing up what it is is. That's a mindset that I can't do anything that I'm a victim I'm a victim of my circumstance fucking innovate. This is your call. This is your call to action to go. Change some shit up. It's not about doing things. The same old same old now is the time. If you're a restaurant fuck can you deliver? Can you find a way that changes it up? Can you do something whereby you don't even have to have contact with these people that you can innovate your platform to have all your payments? Everything done online. What about families? Can you change some of your portion sizes? Can you up it so that instead of a one piece meal? It's a two or three or four piecemeal that's going to serve a whole family right. What else what extra value can you bring as? I've been coaching these last two weeks. Man All I talk about providing that massive fucking value not getting sucked into it of got one gentleman. They're amazing client of mine. He's in the auto auto industry sells cars right. And here he is. He's asking himself a question man. How can sell more cars? Right now. Shit's not selling I said. Well what if you ask yourself a different question? What if instead of saying? Hey how can I sell more cars? What if instead you ask the question? Hey how can I make a bigger difference? How can I contact? Some of my clients provide them ridiculous amounts of value hone in on that ridiculous amounts of value. How can I go provide those massive fucking chunks of value so that after this is all done? The clients are flocking to me. The clients are remembering who I was and the impact that I had during this tough time. Ask a different question. Get a fucking different answer. That's really the key right here. Why am I excited? Why am I just because it is about finding a different way my client? He found a different way by the time we got off the call. He was juicy was Jack. He couldn't wait to get off not that kind of get off. He couldn't wait to get off because he was ready to go do that action that he talked about he was ready to go. Make that massive difference and make that massive impact for his clients because he now saw the way it was a mindset shift right. Yeah I talked to him. I asked him to change that state. Change that mindset and definitely change what he was focusing on mindset matters most write that down take note of that mindset matters most. It's the key. It's absolutely everything that you need to know to get through this time. You know I've been saying a few things here in this episode about. Maybe it's a tough time. Maybe it's a shitty time and that's really a third part of the scenario. That's the third part of what puts this altogether because it doesn't have to be a shady time it can be a time of massive fucking opportunity. I am the Opportunity Guy. I'm the guy that's out there. All the time always talking about those opportunities now is the time the opportunity is right now. Go do something different. Here's the thing the world it's moved on the world has moved on from the way things were those of you out there in business. Who think you're going to go back to business.

"No question opportunity every single thing. I must have said that word about twenty times now in this but that's really what it is right one of those questions. I ask myself all the time is what's the opportunity here right now right. That has become one of those standard definite definition questions. And no matter what's going on I'm priming myself to go and find go and seek out that opportunity whether to help to make an impact to change someone's life to help someone's business whatever it is when we focus in on that when we have that opportunity with our families. We've got that extra time to really connect and really communicate. My Gosh. I think some amazing things are going to happen. Rule YEARS USING TECHNOLOGY. Or are we a electrically to we using zoom more using things or are you picking up the the old fashioned rotary dial phone in connecting via phone? What are you using to connect to those people that are important to you in a business museum effeminate at we have a couple of already have full people at work remotely. So we've had some amazing people come to work for business and we didn't want his business so we set up the people where we lose the business and I left. Hand went somewhere else. We actually have people that work remotely. So we've been using zoom and we use it not as more and more. I've written with my coaching and helping businesses of that into the contract business meetings and the boys instead of all the fine on a I think as Phoolan. We'll use that more more than what you know making plans nail. You've been things happen to be at the office worker to avoid that congregating people even though with service contractors in the community and aunt in the world working people just to reduce that Code Gatien of people out at one place so will then set up soon for morning meetings and things like that as we got more more using zoom in and my kids. Use them to talk to grandparents and goal squawk but one of the menu to their grandparents and stuff. So I think that'll happen more more times. A little bit in Alabama been happening more and more and more over the next weeks and months we zoom facetime and from a cell phone phone family and make time for that or France. Facetime definitely link myself. I use whatever means possible whether it's Facebook Messenger facebook chat. I'll get onto WHATSAPP zooms. Big One for me as well noticed. Notice what's happening here John. You're thinking by Zoom Bison but really. It is one of the big ones well when I'm doing those conferences with clients. With all that yeah. I'm hopping onto zoom me. I like to be. I like to be as as mobile friendly as possible and I can't stand long distance charges so I'll let my clients because of course I I know him. Work all over the world mic. When I talk we use skype my Williams make voice or whatnot but I'm good for any of those opportunities. Whatever it is it doesn't matter what it is whatever's GonNa work. Hey we want to be able to is the technology. Is there a big fan of it? I love it. It makes my life simpler suicide crisis. This has this made your family closer. I Bailey had said that. She believed that. I'm paraphrasing the main. Her family closer. Anyone else I'll say it has for me. I noticed that I'm calling my mom a lot more. She's not all that far away or whatnot. I don't I don't go visit her. She's in her seventies and stuff and you know God forbid that I did pick something up. I wouldn't want to do that but I noticed that I am on the phone with her a lot. More talking to her a lot more making sure that she's okay. Is there anything I can help her with? She needed me to get groceries or whatnot. She's completely capable of doing it herself. But in the off chance she didn't want to get out Yeah we're connecting more Steph and we've got some more time and stuff too so we're spending time together and stuff which is really great not a whole lot. We can do but even even bike riding. I think it was Monday. I went out for great little bike. Ride hadn't gone in a long time. I went up to Walnut Grove. Which is kind of North Langley area and road through there? And it's been years since I've been through there and it got me to reconnect with old myself. And I was able to introduce Steph into that area to which was which was also really nice and I think for me. Even my immediate family lock sitting down having conversations about what we're going to do and will explain that to your kids and really connecting sitting around into Stephen connected with immediate family has changed a bit. Look we're not all slashing here so it hasn't caught and still was in mental skills operational. So it's not quite as Following his America like I said but even just seeing having those conversations with the Kingston stuff about what's going on there so it has helped and connected a little bit more to show excellent. I've definitely noticed. Not so much me I. I typically tend to be the one who reaches out and prompts people and I've noticed in the last couple of weeks. A lot of people have started to prompt me. And Call Me. And it's been it's been a nice reciprocity because it makes you feel important. It makes you feel special. Things are people are thinking about you. So it's been good excellent. I've a question for the group what what does Age of US think is the single biggest opportunity from business. Moving forward massive industries going to be collapsing in halons and tourism. And things like that. But what you see is the biggest opportunity for business guy.

"And when did you shit ship from God? This is terrible to this is an opportunity. Was there a defining moment for you or is it just that you have been this positive person that drives all your friends and family nuts because you have this argument of attitude or is there a defining moment where you anyone. WanNa go first. I'll jump in because it was very black and white. I woke up Sunday morning about a week two weeks ago and I realized that Saudi Arabia and Russia started oil war with each other and I'm from Alberta Canada one of the oil capitals of the world and I woke up and the first word I said is not something I can say right now and then the second said was like yes. There's going to be so much pain and so much opportunity. This is ridiculous. I can't believe this through anyone else. I didn't have quite as a process that I referred is in makes us begin that changing all of this and they you know now gatherings and it wasn't until I got the emails for my Kids Sports Segma- Bangle you kids sports. I come home and tell the kids. That's nice board and I said something about Trading exercise doing activities with the kids got a Bush walking intellectual and I thought now is the time to make the best opportunity just to me a bit doing different things with the kids gone bark rotting in the Bush and stuff and yes. If there's so much opportunity why are we worried about this? Let's put some things in place yet. We need to do that. Shit but look it up. Holy Crap this is a chance to do something different. That was sort of a little bit of time but it wasn't until I really impacted me personally. Haw DAMMIT LOWS. I think for me. It was basically Wednesday when most of the bars and restaurants shut down and then we decided to close our store. Thank that was a very difficult. Dark debut left early and I thought what am I gonNA do so for a stayed home for about the first two hours and then it ran out of things to do. Because I'm a person that always needs to be busy and from there. I decided I have to get up. I still have to have a routine. I have to keep learning some taking other now and I just need to be the person that all the plays that I still out. Look forward to and to one little small thing. We started doing this morning in my really good friend to me. She said rate now. Don't think about it. You're sitting semi two pitchers. What makes you happy? And that's what we did and I started it with all my friends. My family. My sister is a nurse in Toronto. One of the biggest hospital. She's the second screener and she sent me some turtles on her desk at her calendar of her kids. But just those little small things if you look around the room you're in for me. It was my two dogs. My husband and I'm not GonNa lie with Peleton happy. It was like everything everybody was here and dogs are still happy having home. My husband hardly ever sees me so I'm just going to enjoy it and I'M GONNA to take it for what it is. You never get a break like this actually enjoy your family or the people that mean the most you jamie. We haven't heard from you know I was perfectly waiting till the end. Because here's Jamie Mr positively that guy that's always there. I did have a moment. I actually had a moment on this last Monday. Here You know. I'm looking for the opportunity. I'm finding it everything's going great and then Monday came around and it was the news. Yes I'm GonNa admit it came from the news my wife Steph. She got reading some stuff out there. I'm like wow you know. We need to do a little bit. Better job of being proactive on supplies that we have here right so it was. You know maybe instead of having to three cans of beans downstairs. We wish to have six right. We weren't looking to do a bunch of hoarding. And for just a moment you know I went that little scarcity I went into that little mindset of Megani. I'm going to take care of myself and I recognize now. We don't need to hoard. We don't need to do anything like that. What I really have to do in this moment is give back. Even more is to be able to look for opportunities for some of these mom and pop shops mic. I saw one of your posts that you put out there. You shared a post about how many businesses. We're going to close because of this and I see this as you know are all of us in. This group are social responsibility to be able to work with other people there to share their business. We don't WanNA see these businesses. Go to business. We don't right. We rely on them every day. Even though we can't necessarily go there and sit down and have that sit down meal. Maybe sometimes once a week twice a week maybe we do need to think about that. Takeout or something along those lines to keep those businesses going to do our part and at the same time everyone else. No I put out a couple posts on social media. I WANNA know who's People's what business they have. I WANNA know if there's a way that I can give back if I can talk about them. Cher what they do share a little bit about their service or whatever it is maybe they come on a show with us. Maybe we start something where we have a show where the panel and we bring some of these businesses on to be able to share their product. Their service whatever. It is to do our part that way to really bring some recognition to them. I don't know but those are the thoughts and that's the ideas that changed me from scarcity. Oh my God I've gotta go stock up to one of optimism to one of finding the opportunity in the moment for me on the eternal voyeur. I liked to sit back and look at people and figure out and it could have been last weekend. My wife were. Tina was on workshops of time by myself to sit in and and being my own thoughts and so many of my friends were scared petrified because they cause I were living Calgary. Alberta and a lot of oil companies are head office in Calgary Alberta and they were scared because they were losing their jobs of personnel. After person after person and all I could think about is how can I support them and I realized all I can be is the calm in the storm and it was that clarity which was part of the impudence to have us get together with. I need to change my thought pattern to be the calm but also being able to say that there is an opportunity in everything in every in every tragedy. There's always an opportunity could be a learning opportunity a development opportunity. But there's always something and it was at that point in time that I realized that this when I changed my thought process and recognize that. This isn't happening to me but rather it's happening for me. It changes when I recognize that. It's happening for me. So how can I do something different? How can I change my thought patterns? How can I get if I'm complained? I now have time if I'm complaining about getting overweight or not eating healthy now is the time when I have the time to to to get now fake to look after myself looking different things looking parts of me that I'm afraid to look at and sometimes that's just a call to Jamie that's all it is isn't it. Yeah I think all those calls. Jamie let me tell you what you serve and that's one of my ways of giving back to because I know there's a lot of people in in there is that scarcity mindset going out there but if I can donate thirty minutes my time I can donate forty five minutes my time to get on a call and make a difference in a person's life. I WANNA do that. I believe for me. I believe I'm a very high altruistic person the diskin values profile and I come out. Altruistic is through the roof. It's about eighty seven. Eighty nine like it's insane. What that means is it. I truly have a passionate desire to help others and see that so when I see people suffering. I just want to give that big hug although I know I'm not allowed to right now in virtual virtual but if it's even just getting on that phone and finding those opportunities in a moment getting one two maybe three tools of how to change what's going on and I can feel good. They can feel good. And that's what's really important to me right. I I I love to give back Hallelujah. Random thoughts that they want to throw in here. Where about forty minutes yes. I can't believe that my entire youth I was alone or close twelve or thirteen and I was ridiculed and ostracised and now it's the cure to kill the virus so this is the answer.

"That's how we do it right. And I'm neil throws well. I'm from Calgary and we've got guests from and the in the mountain time we've got people in Pacific Time and we have a guest for low land down under Michael's with us and we'll get some introductions later but we're here to talk about picking up your life in this terrible time this terrible like there's nothing we can do about. What's going on the only thing that I have control over is my attitude and so recognizing that it's my attitude that can control how I see the world. I am choosing to be positive. So Neil thrust we'll hear from Calgary Alberta Jamie who are you? Where are you neil? Thank you so much. Money was Jimmy Adam Chuck. I'm with you e coaching. I share my time between Vancouver British Columbia and Carson City Nevada on occasion. And sometimes you can even find me down in Florida. I'm here today. This all came about because you and I kneel. We had a quick little text discussion just on tax. It's like hey we should do a facebook live and you kind of question me a little bit. You know what's your thoughts like man? There is opportunity out there. There's so much opportunity and I'm not talking about capitalizing. I'm talking about shifting the narrative from all the doom and gloom to really seeing the positive really changing that mindset. So we're not going down that rabbit hole we're climbing out of it into the beautiful sunshine. That of course involve evolved into the rest of our amazing guests. That we've since Bailey since you're right on below me. I'd like to welcome you in Bailey. Tell us all about yourself. Thanks Jamie so I'm daily to open from Prince George British Columbia and I am to businesses. I have a home Decor Star. Which is called theory at home and I also have an interior design. Business had theory for eight and a half years now in the design business for twelve and Intel. This week I had employed nine people which I had to lay off most of them. I we're GONNA be okay with all of that and I'm going to wait a little bit more. Our kind of coping through that awesome. Thank you so much for that Bailey. Mc Mc Scott me he's right are blowing my screen. You're random below base all pick on you next nick. Welcome thanks my boss. GonNa Sam Day on from analyst Queensland Dan in Australia and when jiving message Vanson High. We've been chatting this week opportunities and business opportunities in the world at the moment and it will things that are going on. He said George Nicole and laurels yes perfect On 'em you said changing narrative on something that I've been now China now I've businesses and I'll have a contractor business reasonable. Saw his contract business. We have a bad seventy five employees and also do business. Coaching through awaken business while the business side and and that's where all the small businesses Terada China's M. onset really really don't and business and take advantage of the opportunities out there in the world side on pop to get started and folk metal. They will charities on all guys recent stuff. Hey we will be doing at the moment and we're pretty lucky where we haven't had a touched this yet but economically obviously has say. Thanks very much outstanding. Thank you so much John. My brother John. Ross near you our last but certainly certainly not least welcome on. Give us your bio introduce yourself my brother. Yeah my name is John. Ross from amendments in Alberta Canada. I've got a construction contracting business. And also wealth education business which also does investments and things like that my biggest passion is just redefining how we view wealth and inspiring other people to take advantage of that and create their own financial freedom creek thrown wife on their terms and I have literally been vibrating. The last week with all the opportunity. That's going around. It is absolutely unbelievable. And if I'm here to tell people that if you're waiting for the government to save you better waiting you gotTa Save Yourself. It is not going to happen. You're inside your house. Good recording teed. Now's the time to take some time. You're forced to sit at home. You're forced to be at employed. Take this opportunity figure out something else. It is unbelievable. The greatest fortunes in the world were built in the worst times. The point of maximum opportunity is the point of maximum pessimism. And we're almost there. I don't think we're quite there. But we're almost there Hallelujah. Brother everyone on this call ins under the panel here. Is you're preaching to the choir. We are all one hundred percent in that. It's what we do. Is it like every tragedy and it's a travesty here in upon us. What are we going to do and I for me? The first mind ship was is that this is not happening to me. This is happening for me so that I can learn and do it so it's freed up tons of time. I wouldn't normally be able to do this. Call at this time with Jamie but also like life has it. We now have the time. So we're capitalizing. We're getting together and we're working with community and unloving it so thank you all for being on the call and thank you panel for being here. Thank you very definitely key. Today is opportunity right and I think each each of you aren't panel here Bailey mic John. You've got some Opportunities Bailey. I had the opportunity to speak with you a little bit earlier and I'm excited. You shared something really cool with with what you're about to do and I'd love for you to share that here so that you know the entire world the good old. Www world out there that seeing us on social media has an understanding of what your boat to do soap. Share that with us. Please packing small. That came to me this morning because I do have a brick and mortar store and we are small business. We have closed our doors because we didn't WANNA pay humor plays in harm's way around luxury man so unfortunately right now not getting as many sales as we would like so. We did have an order that has shipped out from another local company. Another small business called Cape. Your natural and she started making hand sanitizer and I have forty even arriving on Monday. I already had people that were wanting to buy them but I just decided to give them all for free if you are elderly. You don't bottle on. My husband is religious. It's not super busy right now. Either and we're just GONNA drive around and we're GONNA leave them off people's Square steps and we'd advocate Match more bottles in hand coming in long as it supplies from come across the border from the US. We'll just keep doing it. And I've talked to other small businesses and companies instead. I can't afford to keep buying because I'm still buying not selling it to their now on board if we can get as much as we can and it's kind of like community coming together and showing what we can do. That is amazing. That's what it's all about you taking this opportunity remember. It's all about opportunity and making something amazing out of it. Sure you could do like so. Many others aren't put it on Amazon and market up ten times. But I think that's not the right thing to do people that do that. That are looking to. There's an Elton an offer a second there we've seen people that are looking to make that quick buck and you're doing quite the opposite. You're costing the company some money by bringing this by by having this happened yet at the same time you're making such an impact giving this to those people who need it being able to give it away free number one. How does that make you feel as an entrepreneur as a business owner to be able to do something big and love to hear it makes me feel really good? I rely a hundred percent on our community giving back to APPS for us to be able to open our doors and Pale verse. So there's little small things that we can do. And why Whitney absolutely the best way for people to get a hold you say I am an older person or whatnot and I needed to get some. How can I get a hold that say? Hey you know what I'd I'd love to get all of that. I'd love to be able to use. How can they do that? Avid completely say to me probably either on facebook or instagram. And we're theory harder and if you WANNA get a hold of it that way or you can even find me personally Bailey Tobin and because I don't how many bottles and we'll be picking but I just asked people that don't take it if you don't need it and make sure that there's other people that really do just because of that awesome. That's incredible one of the question. Always still we still got you here on the line with the layoffs and stuff that you've had to do. How did that go? How did it all happen? Maybe how did you come to that decision to take that step well? It wasn't an easy decision because most of us were together for some of us for fifteen years. Some of us were nine and then mostly everybody for three years. So we've Kinda built his family and we we actually are each other family with each other's all families combined together so I wanted to make sure that they were taking care of also that in the end they have a store to come back to so I'd have to reduce their hours and there. Yeah I would be lower than they could possibly get wherever. Just be more money of our savings that would go towards reps so we're just really making sure there's something for the cutback awesome. That's incredible and that does give them that opportunity right away like you said if you were to hold on and scale back the hours when it does come time to review those eae farms. We know that's going to have an effect. We know that's going to impact on you. Guys not step right away and stepping up and doing that. Really really helping him out. Incredible are the ric- down from landowner. Tell US opportunity. What does that mean to you so opportunity for me? That means opportunity the thread odd violent on hand sanitizer. Why because this community businesses shutting down as restaurants is off gone on thinking a little bit differently more customers need. That is that you have to give it to them. You know you supply business and you constantly need toilet. Paper go phone supply get type of pounds of and give it to you to your customers and hand sanitizer the these kinds of things and the dividends. That'll long-term see we'll be it'll change the game you'll business forever when it comes back every body you talks will remember that you help me out in A. Tom Need full free. Asking for money. And impact. Mike on the value of Your Business in the brain. Be Amazing and other things at all to do is any small business industry That needs help. That WanNa talk catching says free. Just gives Cole. Helpful quit smoking. -tunities or innovate. See if his way can help you to try and on reduce Hammy layoffs. You have to make that. We haven't where where probably A multiple cy behind the US. In terms of way we are with where gathering a gathering of more than one hundred people for non essentials. Some small businesses still operation. You know you gotTa Restaurant. They won't be fog people. Instead of fifty all the havoc shot.

"Okay so here I am this morning. I'm working away at the gym. And of course they got the televisions is on watching a little bit of news. And what do I see well first of all before we even get into that something really cool happened in the lower mainland here we finally after years and years and years of debate eight years and years of years of working with the local insurance company. We have finally got Uber and lift here now. This is a pretty big deal. Why will number one? I'm a great big fan of Uber and lift not to say that I don't use taxis. We'll talk about that and a little bit. But I'm a humongous fan of Uber and lift for me. It is so simple pretty much no matter where where I go I need to get a ride. I can pop on the APP whether it's Uber whether it's lift and as long as we're not triple or quadruple time I'm getting that right hale. I'm looking it up up on my APP. I'm getting that right. It's a big deal and I absolutely love to use it. Here's what's going on now just over the weekend. The lower mainland mainly Vancouver issued Uber Uber and lift finally after much debate their licenses to operate this is a big deal in the province of British Columbia. They have the provincially run insurance company. That was one of the big hurdles for Uber and lifting it over here so finally after much debate much back and forth going to court and that they finally got it going. It's actually here. Here's is what's happening though. The mayor of Surrey issued over nine thousand dollars in fines against Uber and lift because they're claiming that they don't have the proper licenses to operate. This is after being granted those lower mainland licenses. Now when I saw that it fucking pissed me off. So here's a person who's in charge the mayor of Surrey. He's an older gentleman. Nothing against older people. Hey I'm getting up there myself. But what he's failing to recognize here is the the need for innovation. The need to be on top of things. Look at what happened to sears. Here in Canada sears gone why a sears gone. because they failed fail to innovate. They fail to optimize and they are no longer in business here. They're gone toast. An iconic brand of Canada gone basically in the blink of an eye. Look here's the fact. If we want to stay in business if we want to be at the top of our game we have to innovate. What's the mayor of Surrey? Not Doing. He's failing to recognize what the needs of the people are. Yeah taxis agree. But here's the thing. Sometimes I don't WanNa get in some stinky fucking cab that that I've had to wait god-knows-how-long for that I've called dispatch. Got Shitty Service. I'm not saying they're all shitty. But let me give an example recently here. I went over to Vancouver Island and I I called a taxi service. Normally there's taxis waiting. We came over on the ferry. Normally there's taxis there. I called taxi. Service were waiting waiting waiting. I called again. I waited for over a half an hour each and every time I would call I would get horrible service. It was just terrible. I let them kindly no that. I couldn't wait till Uber lift. Came and they didn't take that very kind. I'm okay with that. I own that the other thing with these taxi companies. They're failing to innovate now. I know what you're thinking Jamie. There's lots of APPs out there. Lots of taxi companies. Have those APPs this and that they can tell you where we're there at will let me give you another example again over into name. Oh we were we were going out. It was last summer here went on their APP looking. Okay I can make this work. COULD DEAL WITHOUT UBER and lift no problem nine times we got cancelled on our pickup nine times consecutively even after calling. Finally we just hailed one down one that we saw on a road and finally got our way back home right if this is the big difference between Uber and lift because rarely if ever I think after me once or twice and I've used them a lot both companies equally as swell. I've used them a lot and I've never had that kind of poor service. I've never had those kind of cancellations or anything like that. When I when I get onto the APP I can see where they're at? This is one of the reasons why people want this. They want the new evolution of all this mayor of Surrey. Pull your head out of your ass quite literally pull all your head out of your ask and figure out what the people want. Here's the thing heuberger. Lift aren't GonNa take all the business recently. I was on a trip into Calgary. I took a look at the APP. I took a look both Uber. And well. We didn't have lift there yet in Calgary but it was over Uber App. I took a look to see where they were. I took a look to see the pricing. I'm like you know what I'm GonNa do a cab for this one. I consciously chose to do a cab. Why will the cab was right there? I didn't have to hail anything. There wasn't anything right there at the airport so I hopped into the cab right. We're not seeing Auburn. Lift is going to take everything over. We want to give people the choice most oftentimes. I want something I can pull that up on the APP and I can see where everything's going on this also brings up the idea of. How can we work together? We have to stop fucking thinking about just that singular perspective. What are artists artists? Doing artists like singer Songwriter. And all that. How often are we seeing collaboration? One of the biggest collaborations that really sticks. And I know there's been tons and tons and tons but one of the ones that that really stuck out to me was way back in the day. 'EM Riana when they got together and they did that collaboration now of course it's not the first one. There's been collaboration music for for all history and all that but that one really really stuck out because it was just these two different people but here they are coming together. What if we instead found the way to be able to work together? What if we could build to bridge between what the taxi companies are doing? What Uber Lift is doing and together make it stronger because remember we are servants of the public we? We would not exist if we weren't in that place where we're serving when we stop putting ourselves forward when we stop thinking. Oh it's all about me it's all about if I'm the CAB company. How much much money's GonNa dig into me? How can we better serve our clients instead of looking for all the shit? That's going wrong. Why not start to look for all? That's great why not start to look to say Holy Shit. Where can we make a bigger difference? Where can we have an even bigger impact? Where can we provide even better service right? What does it looks like? where could we innovate? What business are we really think about that? Taxi companies. What business are you really in? Is it just to drive people around. No it's it's to get them places it's to provide them safe and secure transport it's to make them feel certain it's to make them have that significance within. It's not just a matter of hopping in some cab and and yet where do you want to go Kahlil get you there. It's more than that. It's an experience cab companies. Take note and listen. Where can you make an even bigger experience for your clients? Where can you go and make that impact so that it's not even a question as to where your clients are going to call? Look I do this with coaching as well. I'm not in it to say. Hey you know what I'm going to coach. But if I'm coaching other coaches which I happen to you I coached quite a few other coaches right now. I think I have about nine coaches on my roster that I'm I'm working with do I hold back and hold little secrets back. And don't tell them so that I can do better. No fuck that that would be terrible and that would be disgusting. I give every single thing I've got. I'm not worried about competition. I coach all around the world. I've got a client of mine. He he lives in the Houston Houston area and for all intents and purposes because I've got a few clients there. I could say that this person is competition but I think that's absolutely ridiculous Carlos. You know who you are brother. Good luck you've been killing it. You've been crushing it. This is a big deal I look at him and I say I want to give him everything. I've gotten more. I want him to be even more successful on me. I want him to kill it and crush it like absolutely no other and if that means me giving every single one of my secrets out to make him succeed to help him succeed lead you can bet your bottom dollar that. I'm going to do that when we get it out of our heads that it's not all me me me when we get into the mindset of how can can we make an even bigger difference. How can we collaborate? How can we actually work together? To give the people that matter the most our customers the absolute most most best most impactful service when we put that mindset on when we get that clear in our heads of how we can serve and not sell. That's really where we win. It's up to us. It's up to each and every one of us to take that to own that mindset to put it in the place where we are making making that impact don't be afraid don't come from a scarcity mindset. Look you can serve go. I'll give you a challenge right now to go to one of your competitors Gulf find where you can make a difference with them. Go look to see if there's an opportunity where you can collaborate breakdown the fucking barriers. That says hey I can't deal with this person because is there my competition. No that's the wrong attitude. Challenge yourself to go and find someone were. You can make a difference where you can have a profound difference with the both of you so that you can both grow mayor of Surrey. Doug mccaren listening. Hey really get this in your head. You're looking at things the wrong way. Where can we help the public? Where can we make a bigger difference working? We really give the people what they need and taxi. Companies if you're one of those it's in that fear mindset. All you have to do is do two percent better header one percent better find a better way to do it. Make Uber and lift. Not An issue. You do that you blow me away. You come up with that infrastructure. That's GonNa get me on your APP instead of theirs. I'm GonNa love you forever. That's all it takes. Don't worry about them. Look were success has made big impacts. Look look at that reengineer it for yourself and find the way that it works biggest takeaway here vaulted find that opportunity to collaborate. This is what it's all about. Oh go make that impact kicks amass and we will catch you on the flip side.

"All right. I've been hitting the gym. I'm back in the gym it. It's time to get this lazy ass body doing something. That's really going to make a difference and I've started the gym now. It's been about two weeks now so I've gone every day except for two days now. One of the things I like to do is I used to be an avid runner. Now I'm not talking. Ultra Marathon Lake Gauguin's or anything like that. I used to run. I'd run on average five to seven K every few you days or whatnot. It's kind of interesting because I got back on the good old treadmill there and I started out started out running. And I did a whopping eight minutes st eight minutes. Can you believe it aide whole minutes. It's on the treadmill. Yeah kind of laughed at myself because that was a far far contrast from what I used to do. Now I've been running every day. I start out every single. Dale Walk for a couple of minutes. It's just to get the body all limbered up and everything will start running. I notice I went from eight minutes up to twelve minutes up to fourteen minutes and then I had this little barrier that I put in place for my mind I could do twelve minutes. I do fourteen minutes no problem. It was easy simple for me but every time I tried. There's that word you all know that. I can't stand that word every time I tried to do more more that block that barrier would come up and it would stop me for moving ahead. Well something pretty amazing happened this morning. I want to share it all with you because it's so relevant for all all of us. I'm not just celebrating my own accomplishment this morning here I want to paint the picture of what's possible for each and any one of us to be able to remember I am not that ultramarathons Kamera thon guy so here. I am rocking out this morning. I hit the fourteen minute mark and something different happens. Something changes morning. I could keep going so I did. And what's interesting is I set myself small little piece of small little things to focus on. Okay if I can do fifteen minutes. Can I get to seventeen. My logic in my mind was five. Do Seventeen. That's Fifteenth Fifteen street minutes of running. Plus my two minute warmup. Yeah that's pretty good. I hit seventeen and I was still get to go. I kept doing that until thirty two minutes. meaning that I I had my two minute warm up and I ran straight for thirty minutes now for all you marathon saute. This is no big deal for you. It's like whoopy-doo the guy ran thirty minutes. But for me this guy that's basically been outta shape. It was an accomplishment this morning. What I'm seeing? Here's it each and every one of us can do this. It takes commitment. It takes perseverance. And it takes jake setting up a different standard in our mind. Remember what my old standard used to be it used to be. You can get to fourteen minutes. I could get to sixty minutes and I'm done. I'm tapping I'm finished. It's all I got guess. What a whole lot more than my tank? I didn't do anything different. It's not like I had a bunch of extra arrest or anything. I just got off my ass this morning hopped on that treadmill and I fucking crushed crushed. It crushed it from me. What's great is you can do this? Take this it's a bit of a mindset thing do what I did is I set small little milestones. Okay if I can hit seventeen eighteen minutes can I hit twenty minutes. Can I hit twenty two. Can I hit twenty six. Can I hit twenty. Can I hit thirty. I set myself up small little milestones and I believe that I could do it so enough of my accomplishment though something. I'm really proud of but enough about that. Let's get into the myth of multitasking. What the Hell is this whole idea of multitasking? Well well the idea of multitasking is that we can do multiple things at a time. I'm here to tell you. That's a bunch of absolute bullshit. Now where I use this where he uses in particular Taylor in my business. Coaching is when I'm working with managers. We've all heard the old story of the open door policy. Yeah just come on in anytime no problem I can help you and and we'll I think it's great to be able to build that beautiful report with all your people that work with you that work for you when it's time to do some work when it's time to take on the tasks that require that focus. This is when we have to close that door because we can do one thing at a time really great. We were never meant to do multiple things at a time and for myself. I've really recognized the most I can do. Is One thing I can chew gum and walk. Hey if that's multitasking. Then I guess I'm rocking it out but what I'm here to say as we. We can do multiple things when I'm coaching right. When I'm working with clients I'm not sitting there scrolling through facebook feeds and this and that why because I don't have the capacity for that when I'm doing in my one thing and I'm doing it really great and I'm crushing it? I'm getting all the results and guess what I'm saving time. See the idea that we can do multiple things. It actually takes takes US longer right. Yeah I can multitask. Here's the thing though your brain has to shift thought processes rate sitting in planning out a budget versus going and you oh speaking to an employee that comes in and whatnot. You have to interrupt that one task. That budgeting mindset and you have to shift that mindset into something else now lots of practice you can do it fairly effortlessly heartlessly. But they're still a time loss where we make up that time and where we give ourselves out time back is when we focus on that one thing that we can do really great the idea for this podcast. It came this morning I was running on treadmills. I was cranking and I'm like oh I've got to capture this. I've got one of those minds if I don't write it down if I don't capture it right away poof. It's gone on. I didn't want to lose it this morning. So here I tried the whole myth of multitask. So here I am. I'm running away. I'm grabbing the phone and I have to capture this right. I have to capture the title for this podcast. What I'm going to speak about today so I'm trying to type I'm running? I'm half fallen off this treadmill. I'm sure if anyone was looking at me they'd have got a good chuckle out of it. See even on that. We can't multitask not task. We can do one thing really great really quickly really efficiently. Take some time for yourself to say. What is it that I have have to do? I can tell you the reason I bring. This up is because people where they struggle were they have. Some of their biggest challenges is when they're trying to manage multiple tasks all at once. So so. You can't do it what you can do that one thing really great. This is where I tie it into scheduling scheduling in that task. That you have to do that. You have to to get behind so that when the time comes to crush it when the time comes to absolutely give it your all and get the task done on time on budget with everything you need to all it takes to get it done on is to focus in on that one thing. Stop Telling Yourself that myth that we can do multiple things at once we can do one thing really great. Give yourself a gift because it it really is a gift it's GonNa Save you time. It's going to increase your productivity. You're going to get a hell of a lot more done when you focus in on that one thing the idea of multitasking asking you know what recycle that idea get it out. Transform that energy into something that's GonNa help you focus in on that one thing right as we all know about energy it can neither be created nor destroyed only transformed. And this is what we're looking to do with that. Stop worrying about trying. There's that word stop worrying about trying to multitask and instead focus in on that one thing that you're doing right now. The benefits re permit are amazing. You'll get so much more done you'll be so much. More are productive and intern. You'll be so much happier managers. It's okay to close that door if you're focusing on something that requires all your attention. Take it utilize utilize that utilize that moment utilize that time. You will be extremely happy that you did. You're gonNA get more done. Focus in on that one thing. Thank you all so much for tuning in today. It has been an absolute slice. I can't wait to catch you on the flip side.

"Woke up this morning and I was absolutely fricking passionate coaching here for for many many many a years and one of the biggest things that I see that people aren't getting done as they're not hitting their goals this being the beginning of January this being the top of the year when everyone's wants gone ahead set up their New Year's resolutions set something in motion keyword being something set something in motion and then they get to the end of the year and they figure out Shit Shit. I didn't get it done. Look I'm going to share the secret with you right now. This is short. This is sweet and this is right to the point number one figure how would it is you want. Don't just think about it. Don't just leave it up in your head get that shit out write it down. Take note of exactly what it. Is You a plan to crush this year. Be Specific get the numbers behind it. The metrics out there so that you know what you're measuring we want to be able to take a look at exactly. How far were progressing in the only way to do that is to really get it clear and get that shit out there? Don't just put. Yeah I wanNA feel better for twenty twenty. You do better than that get specific. I want to be at a certain body fat index. I WANNA make a million dollars this year. I want to find that perfect perfect person who is my soul mate forever and they are this this and this look we gotta get specific. We've got to send that information out and get it clear. Most importantly get it out ahead. Now here's the secret that's not secret you want to know what it is. It's this simple schedule. A sheet in and do the fucking work. The only way to get what you WanNa get is doing. The work doesn't matter how much you sit there you think about. Oh I'd love to have this. I'd love to have this place the key to anything the key to achieving leaving you getting exactly what you want is for you to get off your ass and go and do the fucking work. If that means you getting up at four thirty in the morning get your your ass up and go and do the work. Look sound like I'm coming across pretty harsher but in all reality you guys know that I have a ton of love for you out there. This here has me fired it up this morning because twenty twenty is not just a year. It's the decade of you getting everything that you need you getting everything that you want and the only only way to do that is to put in the work. This isn't just some little thing. This isn't just some. Oh yeah I'd like to have it. No this. Is You getting out there and doing it. Think about it like this you go to work so your workdays eight thirty to five you make that a priority. Why because you have to do the same thing with your goals your goals are no different? Put Your doctor's appointments. Your dentist appointments you schedule that Shit you get their fifteen minutes early. You're waiting for the doctor. Dentist whatever you get in you get your session and you leave your goals and the activities to achieve your outcomes are absolutely no different than that. This is what it takes. It's about you being resilient William. It's about you being persistent. It's about doing whatever the fuck it takes to make yourself set up for success. It's not about taking the easy route but guess what when you do this. It becomes very easy. This is you setting yourself up for success by putting the pieces in place first first of all figure out what the hell you're doing figure out why you WanNa do it. Why it's so important? Think about it. Let's come back to the work example for a moment if you chose not to go into work work every day or for two three or four days out of the week just because you didn't feel like it because I got other stuff to do what would happen. Would you have that job. Would you be able to take care of and provide for your family. The answer to that is simply no. Your goals are no different scheduled. The time in if it's in the morning to go to the gym. Am Get your ass out of bed and go to the gym if it's doing something after work if it setting aside an hour two hours three hours to work on your side hustle than do that. It's it's not about sitting on the couch and netflixing chilling with that said. There is a balance. I'm not the guy that's out there. Cranking million hours a week doing everything maximizing all hundred sixty eight hours a week. No I take time for me to chill so that I can put my body back in this place so that I can stand and deliver for ten twelve hours a day and Brock People's worlds girls. That's my job and this is what I do. Come back to what you want. Get really really really clear on what you want and then do the work schedule it in set aside that time there is no secret to this. If you want something bad enough put in in the work. There's no other secret. I don't care what planner you have. Franklin Covey Tony Robbins. RPM whatever the hell it is get in there figure out when you're GONNA do the actions that you said you do the actions that you know you've committed to to achieve your outcomes and when you do do that you will win. This isn't complicated. This isn't really difficult. It's a matter of you taking the time to move yourself self forward and achieve what you want. It's not someone else doing the work for you. It's you getting serious and putting in the time putting in the effort I came across. That's pretty impassioned this morning because I want to give this tea right at the top of the year. There's no better time than right now to jump on this to get working on what it is you want with. That said. I'm off to start my day ready to rock ready to kick it out here. We go big loved you all. I love you big time. Go and and do and go and crush it for twenty twenty we will catch you on the flip side.

"Unfair advantage. Doesn't everyone want an unfair advantage. I'm I'M GONNA give it to you today so hey thank you so much for tuning in. I'm excited to be back. Yes it's been a long time way too long. I have been here. I've been there. I've been to Australia really. What an amazing amazing outstanding country a huge mass of show to all my beautiful Ozzy people down there? I love you. I love your country and I cannot ought absolutely cannot wait to be back. I've also been to eastern Canada. Wow it was a short trip but an absolutely amazing one and last but not least. I've also been down down to Florida. Wow I've packed a ton in on top of that. I'm really excited to say that I finished my third program. The dimensions of state eight management. It's done it's live and you can absolutely check it out at U. E. COACHING DOT teachable. Dot Com alright onto the unfair advantage vantage. What's this unfair advantage? Well through having been to all these places I noticed something sticking out and it was the language that people were using no no not faulk and shared and all that but the actual language patterns the words that people use on a frequent basis. What I noticed is that not not everyone but for a lot of people they use words that were eliciting a negative feeling a negative response or a negative emotion? What do I mean by that for those tasks that were hard? They were epic they were challenging way too difficult. There were insurmountable roadblocks. In my way I started to really hear an absolute loot ton of negative language patterns. This got me thinking what would happen if we made some small shifts some small shifts in those inveterate Britt language patterns those patterns that we're using over and over to take them from a place that was an maybe a little bit negative into a place that was much more positive. It also got me wondering how much of the English language are we actually using. WE'LL HAS IT turns out very very very little. I looked at the stats in the Oxford expert English dictionary there's approximately one hundred seventy one thousand plus words available for us to use. What's really interesting though? Is that of those one hundred and seventy one thousand words that we have available to us. We only use on a daily basis on a frequent daily basis. We only use approximately one thousand thousand of those words in our daily communication while we're not using even a tenth of the English language and it's no wonder why we have such a limited experiences. You heard me use that word earlier inveterate meaning a lot of I had to look that up because I wanted to use is something different. I wanted to challenge myself and you some other language that represented what I wanted to share. Do that make that a part of your daily habit going when look those words up heck on the Alexa APP. You can get her to give you the word of the day. It's absolutely amazing going. Use It expand that language pattern. Okay back onto what I was talking about. Those patterns that people were using mainly consisted of negative or negative feeling or negative associated words. What does that mean we were using using those those difficult words words that we're going to prohibit us from being in those states that were going to support our ultimate outcomes? What do we have to do? We have to change those language patterns. This is the unfair advantage. I'm not kidding you. It's a simple little tasks that you can do. I wrote this up in my program included this part of this in my program so you could all have that exercise. I'm going to do something really kind of cool today. I'm GONNA give you that exercise that I wrote up in my chapter that spoke about language. Switch the exercises this. Give yourself the gift of recording the language that you're using those repetitious words that you're using over and over. What are those words that you notice yourself using? Are they positive. Are they great outstanding. Amazing Awesome fucking amazing or is it hard difficult challenging roadblock insurmountable roadblock whatever it is I want you to take notice of those language patterns that you're using and you're GonNa do this for a week you're going to spend one whole week simply recording the language that you're using more specifically the words that you're using take note of that. How do you describe a situation? How do you describe I an argument? How do you describe disagreement? How do you describe something that took you longer than what you expected? What words do you use when you find that? You're having to stay late after work. I got a pretty crazy idea that there might not be some of the most positive words that you could use that moment. Take note of them. Whether you've got a note pad where you're writing them down and putting a little mark next to it or whether you're taking notes in your phone you're utilizing the notes APP taking note of those words and just putting a little character after that take it's not of those language patterns. This is all you're doing for the first seven days at the end of this seven days. Take note of those words that you used most frequently. What we WANNA do then is once you've identified? What those words are? We WanNA switch them. We want to look at the antithesis of those words the opposite so it's hard. Maybe it was fun. If it was difficult maybe it was an opportunity for growth. We WanNA start to input some alternate language patterns into your daily vocabulary. So that number one you can grow because remember. We're either growing or dying there ain't no inbetween. Let's choose growth. That's number one number two let's exchanging overall being. Let's change the person who you are so that you can get more of exactly what it is that you want. That's a big one people. They see us. They perceive US based on who we are based on our body posture based on the language that we use. If we're a Debbie Downer and we're constantly going into all the sorrows and all the difficulties that were having. What are the chances that people are going to want to help you and support you when all you're doing is focusing in on the negative? Give yourself a language upgrade and get into the habit get into the habit of using words that support what you truly want. This is the first step. This is an absolutely big big step in getting all the results that you've ever wanted simply by changing you. It's not about looking outside yourself. It's not about looking at. Who else can do it in this moment for this task this is about you? This is absolute ownership of what it is that you want. How do we get what we want will number one? We gotta get in the right state of mind. We you gotTa tell ourselves the absolute right stories to get ourselves there and then we got to go and fuck do it if we're seeing it worse than it is if we're seeing it as a great big massive of challenge we're not GONNA succeed. It's going to be trouble. It's going to be difficult and it's going to be hard. Let's change that. Give yourself that unfair advantage by giving you you the language upgrade you need this will literally take you miles beyond wherever you thought that you could be. It's simple it's not difficult city. The possibility see your very own ability within you. Don't shadow that don't put that big blanket over it so no one can see that ability most importantly yourself by giving yourself a story or language. That isn't supportive of what you want to do. Look we're coming into a New Year here right quick tomorrow zero two today. I'm recording this. On December thirty tomorrow is the thirty first. It is the end of the year. Set yourself up for success by giving yourself this challenge now make make it your challenge for the first seven days out of the year. Make it something that you really pay attention to so that you can give yourself that upgrade that maybe that really really very much needed upgrade to get yourself into the place where you know you deserve to be yes. There's goals we can talk about goals. We can talk about all that but if we don't have ourselves right if we don't have the stories that we tell that we're telling ourselves in check and in tune with what it is that we want can't we can set all the goals that we want. We're not gonNA make it happen. Start giving yourself that unfair advantage by putting in the proper language patterns that are ultimately going to support you one last quick. Shut up for my course you can catch my course at U. E. Coaching Dot teachable. Dot Com it is the dimensions of state management. And it really is designed to give you that unfair advantage to catapult you far past anything that you thought was possible. I'm sending you all big love. Most importantly I'm sending any all amazing. Incredible wishes for twenty twenty. Twenty twenty is going to be a fucking amazing year. "Welcome back to a nother addition of JJ podcast. This is your host Jamie J and today, we're gonna talk about resourcefulness. What does it mean to be resourceful? Who do you have to work with to get totally resourceful? Let's find out. All right resourcefulness now here's the thing. When you're setting goals when you're out there when you're doing the work to set your success up, a lot of things that I hear because I worked with a lot of clients, a lot of things I hear jeeze, Jamie. You know what I just can't get it all done? I don't have the skills. I don't have this. I don't have that folks. This is where we must where we absolutely must become resourceful. We've got a look at who else can do the task. I use this example, with my coaching clients, right? New coaches, they come out Bom. They want to get that, you know, new coaching practice odor. They wanna share all this information out there. They're not the best person to be creating that website. They're not the best person. Maybe to be doing that marketing at I yeah, I get it. There's some cost involved but get resourceful. I guarantee you, if you look around you, if you start to really dig into it, and start to look for those people that have the resources to do it, you will get it done folk. It's never ever, ever a lack of resources. We have to think outside the box we have to get wild. We have to look at all the available resources that we really do have in our life. Here's a great example go through before you start anything. And start to take a look at where those resources are who could be a resource. Is it some technology that you've got take a list, taken inventory, an actual accounting of all the resources that you really do have, and then ask yourself the really great question. Hey, how can I employ these resources? Is this applicable for me to be able to take this tool this piece of technology, whatever it is an import it into my plan, so that I can achieve the results that I'm working towards achieving? We have to think bigger, and we have to think smarter we have to think stronger, this here is what it's all about, it's going to that place of recognizing all the available tools that you do have in your life. Look, we've got tons. We've got. Many, many many we simply have to account them. Now, we've accounted him, we've got the list, how do we put it into motion putting into motion? That might even be one of the simplest things yet. Look you're planning it out. I've done the podcast on RPM plans on my own process. Oh, w n my oh, w n process, go ahead and put it into practice by fitting in those pieces. What's the question? The question is, does it have to be me? Or must it be someone else? Look, I know you're going to have that list, you're going to have all those things that you have to do. That's cool. Go ahead and figure out if it has to be you, or if it's got to be someone else that's going to take that action or going to help you with that part of it. When you do the process becomes so much simpler. Look, if you can leverage out maybe fifteen twenty thirty even forty percent of all the tasks that you have to do how much easier does it make it? What do you start to believe in your head? Do you start to? Leave that you can do it or you still stuck in that place of on my God. It's too much work. It's too hard. My hallucination is that you're going to really start to believe that you can do it that all comes from being resourceful and employing, your resources. I promise you, they're all around you. All you have to do is look for it, and then make sure that you're utilizing those resources to move forward to get you to wards your alternate outcomes. Now, if you're not doing it, you got to check in with yourself. If you're thinking you're going to be the island on the island. There's no one else that can do this. But me, I'm the best person then you're thinking the wrong thoughts comeback circle back and say, look, I have to put my pride. I have to put some of that shit aside, so that I can get this done. I can rely on other people why. Because I know they can help me. I know they can make a difference in exactly where I'm going and what I'm doing simply by leveraging them simply by being resourceful with myself and you. Utilizing those resources to move me forward. It's might be one of the biggest things I share if you're not doing this, if you're not getting resourceful, and finding who can help you who can add to your bucket of resources, take some time today. Go and look through take stock take an accounting of exactly what you really do have in your life. So that you can move your life forward to exactly where it has to be. It's been a pleasure. It's been a blast. Another great great, great session with you guys. "Welcome back to another dish into the J podcast. This is your host, Jamie J, and today today, we're gonna talk about the little things, and how those little things add up to be something really big. Let's kick it off. Okay. It's all about those little things, those small little things, those little steps that oftentimes, we don't take that we just take for granted that we don't do let me give an example here. So, of course, I'm coaching away. I'm back at it today. Now I know today today's Memorial Day. So I expect that, hey, some of my US clients aren't necessarily going to get the stuff in time to get what it is that they need get done. What does that say about their lives, if they're taking shortcuts? All this little stuff right here right now. How do they ever expect to get the results that they're looking to get it is always it is absolutely always all about the little stuff. The small little bits and pieces. The small little steps that we take to get our ultimate outcome. Some of the things that I need is a coach. Number one is my pre call planning form sent in. I require my clients do that. Why? Because it's all about them. Now, one of my requirements is. That I must I absolutely must have that pre call form twenty four hours before the session. No exceptions. Here's the thing, here's a little test. Is there a way that we could do that? Even though I send out a reminder twenty four hours before if twenty four hours before it doesn't work. Could we do something else? Sure you could. We've all got these great devices like right here. I'm holding in my hand right here. It's my phone. It's got a great little tool on there for being able to set a reminder to let me know. Hey, I've got some sort of action that I've gotta take, I can have it set at thirty six hours, forty eight hours before it's those kind of little things that are going to make the difference between having that awesome, radical success, or instead, going to that place where success does not become your option. What are the little things are you putting off in your life? Let's think about it. It can be something as small as maybe taking out the garbage. I'll just let it sit for another day. Yeah. We could do that. And we can also recognize. That in that moment. We're leading something else fit in. I e procrastination. Now, if your standard is procrastination. Hey, that's cool. Go ahead and live that standard yet, I know I fucking know that if you're listening to this that you have a standard that's much higher than that. Don't let that little bullshit. Getting your way. Don't let those little excuses, pop up that screw you up from getting done the things that you need to get done being an entrepreneur, if you're an entrepreneurial there and you're listening to this, you know that every day is a workday. How do you get the most out of it? Guess spend the time to schedule it. Now, if you're listening to my podcast, you know, I spent a lot of time talking about scheduling, Celica fucking broken record. I'm talking about it over and over and over. Why do I keep doing that? Because it's one of the things that we need the most. And we for the most part, do the least if you wanna have that radical success, if you want to set yourself up for the life that, you know, you deserve to live. Then you've gotta take these small little steps to. Make it happen. Breakdown your day. I could go into the amount of hours in a day week and all that we know we've got twenty four hours a day. We got one hundred sixty hours a week. I calculated it out and based on a forty hour workweek plus a couple of hours commute per day, plus seven hours worth sleep at night, every night, you've still got sixty some odd hours remaining sixty per duct of hours remaining that you could be spending time doing what it is you love doing what it is you want, what makes the most of that time? It's doing the little stuff. It's scheduling it in one of the big profound questions. I asked a client one time was. Hey, when do you schedule time to do your schedule, and it was like the big light bulb went off? Right. We've got to invest the time and all that small little stuff. Even if it is fifteen minutes, we can't let the small stuff build up build up build up because it turns into a fucking monster. We've got to kill the monster when it's little it's critical and important. How do we do that by taking those small little? Incremental steps look for the small stuff, you can get wrapped up looking for all the great big stuff all the great big huge opportunities yet. We will never get those opportunities. We'll never get to that ultimate outcome. Where that opportunity is realized unless we go ahead and set up a plan to get all the small little pieces. Think about it this morning. Now, if you're working today, if you're working like me, there's probably a couple of things that had to happen, number one, you had to get up. We gotta go brush, our teeth for showering in the morning. We're doing our shower. We're getting ready were shaving redoing, all those things we get out, we go pack our lunch, imagine if you didn't do some of those little things you get up, you come into work. You maybe you go downstairs you go to have a coffee and someone's like, oh my God. Your fricken breath stinks. Why? Because you forgot to brush your teeth. Same thing. Lunchtime comes your cranking. All morning. You're ready to eat. You go to the fridge. There's no food in the fridge. Why? Because you didn't pack yourself a lunch. It's that kind of stuff that I'm talking about. We have to make time for those small little bits those small little. Pieces, so that we can live are fulfilled lives. We can achieve what it is that we set out to achieve think about this for yourself. And I really want you to think deep here, this is important shit think deepen really recognize where is it in your life? Where is it in your business that you have those small little things that you're not getting done? Go ahead and think about it, go ahead and really clarify, as to what those things are that, you know, you now must do why does it become a must because when we crush those little things because when we take the action steps to achieve what it is that we want to achieve even the small ones we get to live those lives, fulfilled. We get to live, our businesses fulfilled. And that's what it's at what's the ultimate failure success without fulfillment. That's why we're constantly constantly seeking out that fulfillment. We get fulfillment by taking the small little steps, you can start today do this. Here's an exercise I wanna give it to you right now. Go. Go ahead and make a list now. I know we don't like list. We don't like this. Well, we're going to do something with this list, we I have to identify where we are. So here's the list. What are all the small little things that you've been putting off? What's all the shit that, you know, you've gotta do yet? You've been saying, I'll do it. Another time. I'll do it in another place. Whatever what are some of those small, little pieces that, you know, you must get accomplished. I want you to figure those out. I want you to get really clear come up with five ten fifteen whatever it is. We're looking for the smallest little things. Maybe it is cleaning up your office, so that you can be even more productive so that you when it comes time for you to get on that big project. You're not looking for those little things to get done so that you can feel that sense of accomplishment. No. You'll have the stuff done right. Is it cleaning up? The house is doing the yard work. Is it taking care of yourself? Is it going and getting a Cairo appointment is going and getting that massage when you do those little? Things they all add up, you will get absolutely maximum growth. Like mean I'm talking exponential growth. When you spend the time on those small little things figure it out where it is in your life, that you're falling down. It's the biggest gift you can give yourself. I mean fuck, don't you wanna grow, don't you wanna be in the place where you are? Absolutely crushing it. Absolutely killing it. I know you do you wouldn't be listening to this. If you didn't so take that time get really clear all those little things, what they are that you've been putting off and then go out and get them done. I'm serious. It's going to be one of those biggest gifts those absolute biggest gifts that you could ever give yourself look at the fulfillment, you're gonna have think of how good that's going to feel when you get to that place and you are crushing it out that you've got everything that you needed to get done done. Now you can jump into your project, myself, of course, many of, you know, I'm in the process of creating my dimensions. Courses. I've got the dimensions of goal setting. I've got the dimensions of goal achievement and I've got the dimensions of state management, now, I could find lots of little things that I've gotta do I really could if I really search for them, but I found the things that were relevant to me, getting my outcome me getting my goals, done, and I completed, those small little steps I've linked it up that when I work on this stuff that when I work on these small little pieces when I put the effort into the details to get the details clear and get the, the extra work off my plate. I get to then move onto the bigger stuff like sitting down and writing copy like getting it sent off to my guy. That's creating. Oh my PowerPoint s- like moving things forward, you'll never get to the place of moving forward. If you don't take care of the small little stuff. I get that list out figure out what those items are remember we talked about it. You're gonna have five ten fifteen things. What are we gonna do? We need to link them up with that higher. Reason that higher purpose of why we're doing them we do. Do that so that we can understand. Okay, by me cleaning up my office that's gonna give me that head space. That's going to give me that absolute clarity. So that now I can go work on this project, whatever that project might be. I've got to go take care of all my yard work, so that I can really enjoy this weekend. If I wanna chill, whatever it is look at all those small little pieces. Look at all those small little details and stick to it. Set your life up for success by taking care of the small stuff and then and only then will the big stuff flow easily and effortlessly, I shot a couple of videos this morning for Instagram Facebook linked in and one of the things that I noticed is when I look back at this week and it blew on by, like, I'm talking it blew on by why did it do that? Because I was in the place I was in the absolute zone. There was no stopping me. I couldn't be stopped. I was in the flow state. Why? Because everything was put into place do yourself that same favor. Give yourself that absolute same gift so that you can be in that place where. Are you are on stoppable? Isn't that what it's all about? I would love to hear your thoughts on this. I I'd love to get your takeaways your feedback, and all that make some comments in this hope you check this out on itunes, real soon. And I can't wait to catch up with you on the next episode of the Jaime J podcast will catch you real soon..

"Welcome back to dishes of the Jaime J podcast. This is your host Jamie J, and I've got some interesting stuff to share today. It's going to be about talking about sales talking about prospecting clients, and how to really make that impact on the first call, so stay tuned. All right. So today was an interesting day. I had a client or a potential client book session with me. And I just got off the phone with that person. Now, it was interesting because this was another coach attempting to sell their services to me now. Hey, I love that. Right. What does that person doing? They're going ahead. They're taking the action they're stepping up and they're going for I applaud, right? That's awesome. That's a big deal. What didn't go? Well, was the fact that I could tell this person was reading off of a script. Now for me, if there's anything that turns me off more is when I can tell someone is reading off of a specific script, if you're going to do that first of all master the script understand what it is that you have to say. And then go for it say that message out there get that message out there when it comes from that place of reading that script what happened with report, I can tell you I played along. I enjoy. I'm going to mitt I played along. But here's the thing. It was completely totally ineffective. Now, here's another thing. The person that called me could not remember what the connection was. They didn't know where the connection was coming from. They had misinterpreted as to what it was all about thinking that I had scheduled a call. And all that another thing. Do your research. Nowhere your clients are coming from know what you're doing before you get on that call. Now, this comes from state. I've talked and I've talked I've talked about state, and I'm so passionate about state that I'm doing some programs. It's going to be called the dimensions of state management. Look before you talked to any client before you talked to any prospect get in the right, fuck and state. What's the state for me when I coach it's fucking owning it or I step into my place. And I go for it. I'm not worried about reading off scripts. I'm not worried about what the next thing out of my mouth. Mouth is going to be. I simply absolutely own the state of knowing that whatever's coming that whatever's coming up next is going to be the exact right thing know, your client do the research on it. Find a way that you can provide massive value, research them know, everything about them. If you've got a study their Instagram, if you've got to study their Facebook, they're linked in whatever it is go and do that. Now, here's why that time invested into understanding who that person is is going to give you the distinct advantage and provide you a much much much higher level of being able to work with that potential client come in and offer them value. Find out what they're all about utilize some things that they've done Hagan. I saw you wrote that post, and it really triggered something within me. I see the potential for us to collaborate on something because your mindset I can see where you're coming from. I appreciate it so much, and it's something. That resonates with me as well. Look, here's an opportunity. I just wanna share it with you. It might be right for you. It might not. I know it's going to be the right one. But it might be right. It might be not share it out there. Anyways, get confident about what it is that you're sharing believe the words that are coming out of your mouth. It all starts with state. Now when you go into that state. Would you go into that place where you're absolutely confident where you're absolutely certain that what you're providing for that person? You're talking to is going to give the massive value. Guess what you're not selling anymore. I have a belief that we don't need to sell anything when we come across. And we provide so much freaking value when we do that. And we do that from where we know it's providing your potential client that value you stop selling. You don't have to sell whatsoever. The client is going to see so much fucking value out of that so much value just pouring out of it. They're like how do I sign up events. Thank you yourself. Have you ever been in an event, right? You see the presenter on stage. Some really great presenters. Of course, I've been to tons of Tony Robbins experiences. I've seen Russell Brunson onstage. I mean, the guy made three million dollars in ninety minutes because he provided so much value on that stage. People were rushing the booth to get the products to get the knowledge. What did he do? Did he really have to sell? Sure there were some sales. Tactics behind it not gonna lie. What's he doing? He's there to make some money on the stage. But what did he do? What was brilliant? What was genius he provided massive value? He gave

"Welcome back to another episode of the Jaime J podcast. This is your host Jamie J today. We're gonna talk about state, no, not those states in the US like, Texas and California. But the state that you're in the state that you operate from. So without further ado, let's kick it off. All right. So state. What is state think about state like this? This is what you feel. This is the state that you were in. Now, check this out. We have great states. We have states of excitement of passion of joy, and we have some other states that aren't necessarily as serving as positive states is sadness states have despair states of even depression. Here's the thing states. Are what we choose now. I know what you're thinking Jamie, Jamie. That's not so easy for you to say, you're the coach teach this stuff all the time. Here's a truth behind it. All states really are a choice. Remember, do we allow those thoughts in our mind to take control of us or do we instead take control of those thoughts for me? I'm always gonna take the choice of taking control of my thoughts. I want to be in charge of what I think about what do I have to do. I have to manage my state. So how do I do that state has? As three components to it. Pretty simple number one is physiology. And I want to challenge you with this. If I were to ask you until you, hey, there's a person in the room next to us here. We can't see them. We don't know anything about them. But what we do know is that they're depressed. Now, how many of you out there could describe that person without ever having looked at them without ever knowing, you know, who they are man woman ethnicity or anything like that who could describe that for me. I bet there's a ton of you out there that have got your hands raised up. Here's the thing. So could I that person that's depressed? Are they going to be standing tall with their chest out? No, right. They might be standing in the corner. Head down most likely shoulders are slumped that breathing. I don't think it's those deep confident breaths at all what is it? So short little shallow breasts. We know what's going on with that person because of their physiology. The first key step behind taking charge of your state. And here's a little hint. Because this is the biggest part of it at all the first key step behind. It is Matt. Mastering your physio legiti think about this have you ever done something and you've done it over and over and over it gets to that place of unconscious competence. You don't even think about it. And maybe it's not serving you like, maybe you're taking on tasks you're starting to do something. And you've told yourself a story about how hard that task is right? Do you ever notice that you're sitting at your desk? Maybe you've got your elbows right on the desk. Your hands, you know, kind of holding up your head and whatnot. What do we have to do to have a different experience for that particular task number one? We must change our physiology. Now, this is something we have to practice over and over and over you got to that place of being in that particular state. Maybe it's a state of procrastination state of hesitation or a state of trepidation thinking. Oh my God. I don't wanna do this task number one change your physiology. If it's calls that you have to make maybe you've gotta make fifty one hundred two hundred and fifty calls in a day. You know, what get yourself excited? Get yourself juiced up. Don't be sitting there kicked back in the chair, all relaxed, and casual, you know, make a move do something to shift your physiology radically. We're gonna talk about that in a little bit. But do something different standup. Right. Take that deep breath. If you've got to take a quick walk around the officer or walk outside do something different to shift that physiology. The second part of state is focus what we focus on we feel. All right. Think about it like this if you're focusing on that task say it's making those hundred or two hundred calls thinking, oh my God. Right. This is such a big task. It's gonna take me so long, right? It's going to be so much work. I don't know if I can get through all those people whatever it is. What you focus on is what you're gonna feel if you're focusing on the downside of that task. You're gonna feel a whole ton of that downside in stead challenge yourself challenge yourself to focus on all the opportunities. We're gonna talk about language. And meaning, but I'm going to throw a little bit of that meaning into here right now. Because what does it really mean for you to make those calls? Maybe it's understanding that higher purpose behind it. Hey, I make these calls. I can get some new clients. I can get new clients. I can make more income whatever it is whatever's motivating you focus on the outcome. Not the problem. This is where people get stuck up. They get stuck on focusing on that immediate situation right now. A great question to ask yourself is if I was done at the end of the day, and completed all these calls how good would I feel what would be going through my body what's happening with
