"Coming in in 19th we have the Detroit lines, the feel good. Who doesn't want to root for the Lions? Oh, yeah. So Connor, what is the deal with the Lions? Supercharged supercharged club with arguably you and I's favorite under the radar receiving core in the NFL. I would say at this point, they've gotten hyper aggressive Brad Holmes, the Ramsey in GM traded up on draft night to go back into the first round after you get 8 and Hutchinson to get Jameson Williams at Alabama. I love it, this team is high flying, coached by Dan Campbell, who has just amazing sound bite after amazing sound bite. Have you heard his latest? No. Oh my God. Wait, I have to get it right. Okay, here it goes. So Dan Campbell says, we'll tread water as long as it takes to effing bury you. That's their plan, right?

"I don't think the gap is going to be in the fourth. Fair enough. You also wonder how much ultimately who are they targeting because at this point, your guess is as good as anybody's, right? Who the heck knows? So get me John matchy and Troy Anderson. If they do that today. I think they might be able to stay at 54 and get matchy. It's a weird draft, so I'm not a 100% sold on anything. So here's why I think that. Yeah, because Jameson Williams fell. Clearly, teams are a little more concerned about the ACL than maybe we thought. Now, met she's ahead of the process. Yeah. I'm just going to give you according to reports. So right. And I don't know who's saying I said they wouldn't take matching on Bertrand. I said that he would be the checks every box, assuming his knee is fine. I think there is a chance that she falls just based off Jameson Williams falling in them being in similar situations. Then again, Johan Dawson went, where did John Dawson went high? 16. So the receivers are kind of pushing up. I was actually thinking maybe leading in the treylon Burks would fall out of the first round that obviously didn't happen. It's going to be a flavor thing. Do teams want the team sitting on the board if they want to slot, it's sky more than probably matchy. If you have a bunch of teams to run outside receivers, mention probably is a little more time because you have a Christian Watson. You have George pickens. Alex. I don't even know where David bell is projected anymore. Former projected Tommy. 15 pick David bell. Is he down to day three? Yeah. I'll give you credit. You were on that one. You watched him, you texted me. You were like, what? Yeah. Never saw any sort of place for you with David bell. Like I never thought he was fast and how many random people have pencil limited 54, Evan. Oh my goodness. Don't do that to me, all right? So if they're going to move up in the third round or second round, excuse me tonight, and target a player, it does feel like it's gotta be on defense, right? I just want the wide receiver as much as anybody else does. But at this point, I really do think that they would dig defense with that pick. If they're going to stick with the senior bowl small school guys, like Troy Anderson's right there, right? Cole strange, like it's a similar Troy Anderson or even Zion McCollum, who's also an FCS guy..

"The questions about grow is, is he just going to be a Belichick puppet, where this is all he knows. He came up the patriot away, how patriots do things, how Bill looks at things. Is that is he just going to be a parrot of Bill? And I didn't get that sense. I thought he was impressive. I thought he was extremely candid, probably two candid for some of the people within the Patriots, so that'll probably end very soon. But I thought he was, I thought he was really good. And showed that at least I know somebody in that building, since Bill might be on this, but he'll never tell us and I'll never share these things. But at least I know one person in the building is realizes that it's a dawn of a new age in the NFL and you need certain things to compete now differently than you did say ten, 20 years ago. Fascinating, when you look at last year's draft, again, we look at last year's draft and it was so much different than the prior drafts. And as Belichick told the media down in those owners meetings, grow was the guy who was running point. Now, of course, as grow and reminded everybody during his meeting with the media, Belichick has the final say, don't get it twisted. He's not making these decisions. He's giving Belichick his suggestions. Then as we've talked before, Greg about this, you've heard from people that grow, will push back. And he might not do it in a loud manner, and he has his own way to kind of go about it, but he will push back. So, you know, it's interesting to see from grows viewpoint how he looks at the game because that will absolutely play a role in how this team drafts in the next ten days. And what this looks like, you know, a year or two from now. And where is his head at and how does he fight Belichick on certain things in certain philosophies? Let's talk about why receiver because I thought that was one of the more enlightening comments that he made. I know some people took it when gross said, you know, you've got to find that guy if you want to find an instant impact player at wide receiver, you've got to invest in that position early in the draft. Of course, the Patriots try to do that with Harry and it backfired, but what'd you make of his comments about the wide receiver position and do you think? Because some people looked at that comment and kind of took that leap and said, oh, well, maybe the Patriots will draft somebody now at 20. Do you think they're more apt to draft a guy early? Because grows there or you wouldn't read too much into that. Yeah, I don't think his comments didn't make me think that they're going to be more aggressive than normal, especially at the wide receiver position. I mean, do I rule out them taking a guy or trading up for a guy like, say, Jameson Williams falls in the draft and the Patriots just think he's special coming off an injury? No. I mean, it's something I would do. I mean, if Jameson Williams is available at 21 or just before that, I might be moving up because I think he's that good..

"Bet online where the game starts. So Kevin, I've started to do tip my toe into the draft waters and I've started with receiver because I do think the Patriots have some interest in getting somebody and we talked about they don't have any receivers signed by 2023. And you would love to have a guy that you can bring in with Mac Jones and sort of pair him with him. You know, I wanted to ask you because I was listening to Chris Simms podcast the other day. And he had his top 5. He's often unorthodox, but I think he's pretty good at what he does and he knows what he's looking at in terms of talent. I found it very interesting and I wanted to get your reaction. That he all right, crystal lava sort of like a borderline top 5 type of guy in terms of at the receiver position. But he didn't have Garrett Wilson on his top 5. I think James Williams was Jameis Williams Jameson Williams from Alabama was by far his number one. Of course he's coming off the ACL. But just, you know, I know you're at least in your mock dress you've had Garrett Wilson going high just sort of year. I wanted to get your quickie thoughts on that. And he's not the he likes to Drake London was in his top 5. I don't think he's the biggest fan of Drake London but he had a couple other guys that surprised me. Watson from North Dakota. He's also high on birks. I saw Burks at the combine and I was in his workout. I was not impressed by trailing Burke's. He did not stand out to me. So, yeah, so I'm going to disagree with Chris a little bit, right? So I think that Garrett Wilson, for me, he's a three level threat. So he's quick on short routes. He needs some route running refinement, but I think he can be a good route runner. Which is going to help us intermediate and he's got plenty of speed. So good body control, a lead ability to separate. So when he catches the football, we talk about Jameis and Williams, who is an absolute not only does James Williams have great speed, but he has great burst, which creates that lethal combination, right?.

"So we have been talking for about 20 minutes, probably more than about a half an hour about what the Patriots might do sort of their options in the first round. And we have not talked about receiver. I noticed that in your mock draft, you have guys on the clock at patriots picking at 21 when they trade down. You have the chiefs taking Jameson Williams from Alabama. You have Chris olave from Ohio State going to pick after. Then the pick after that, you have Johann dotson from Penn State who can play slot. I think when people see this, they're probably going to go jump off the Tobin. Ahead of time. Look, I know people know from listening to me. I'm not reaching for a wide receiver. I think the Patriots are what I like to see them get better. I just think you can do it later. Get somebody with some upsides, some speed, a speed element, you know, maybe a slot guy later on in the draft. All these drafts are deep and receivers just Belichick asked to decide to pick one once in a while. You know, not like Nikhil Harry, but sort of, you know, what's your thinking about not taking a receiver, trading out for a receiver or even taking one at 21 and letting the chiefs get Jameson Williams, the packers and Aaron Rodgers getting crystal lava and Kyler Murray getting Johann dotson. Yeah, and so I appreciate that that might be relatively inflammatory for fellow pats fans. I hate what the hell are you doing? And you know, I want them to have that talent on the outside too, right? But I just don't think it's in the necessity for them to do that given where they're at right now. I think the one guy I would consider at 21 or they'll consider a 21 is Garrett Wilson if he was to fall. I don't expect him to be there. I think he's the best wide receiver in the draft. And maybe Drake London from USC, but he's more of a bigger guy and we've all seen that script recently. So I think that I don't expect him to go wide receiver. I think that the guys that we talked about if they fall, which has happened, right? They didn't expect when they were 21. They didn't have the will for it to be there. And they made a difference. So I think that there's a chance somebody falls and maybe we're not expecting. I think I don't love picking linebackers in the first round, but I think there's two, maybe three that make the impact. That's why referenced Lloyd and I've talked about dean in the past from Georgia. But I think they'll likely look at D back and if they take a cornerback or they take hill at 21. I think it's because they have some conviction on them. And they could, you know, they could have two or three guys there and say we're going to move back 8 or 9 picks and gambled at one will be there. If they stay and they select the D back at 21, I think patriots fans should have some feel good about that that signals that they have conviction on the player they like them..

"I mean, those are the two options that you have. My guess is though, is that Bill Belichick probably thinks that wide receivers don't matter to a degree. And things that all of it's overrated. But I do think that in today's game you need to keep up a little bit. Sure. Yeah, and again, it's some of it's the way the board falls too, right? You know, just because you take a wide receiver in the first round, doesn't mean he's going to be that guy. Right. And I don't know what the momentum they built last year. I don't know that this team can afford another Nikhil Harry situation, where they can afford to miss. So let's say they like a lobby, they like Williams, those guys are gone. Should they force John Dodson if they don't believe in them? Just to get that guy. That's again, right? That's the benefit of the Devante Parker trade to me. Is that if you're not a 100% convinced that the guy that you have are thinking about taking is going to pan out for you and I know you're never a 100% convinced, but you know what I mean? If you're not really confident about it, now they don't have to reach on a wide receiver because they have enough NFL talent on the Ross or to not have to reach. But if Jameson Williams is there and Chris alava is there, if you get into the second round and you're on the clock at 54 and sky more is there or you feel great about John metchie and his health and his evaluation. Now you can find the right marriage between the board and what you're looking for and line those things up, but you got to take some stabs. You can't just sit back and not do not do it at all. It doesn't have to be in the first round, but you've got to start to take some bites at the apple here. So again, and I agree with you. But there's a fine line between that and it's just forced like picking players for the sake of picking them without going off the evaluation. That's why you get and I think day two early on day three is the spot to go. And for all of their issues with receivers, big picture, they've been okay with slot guys. Granted a lot of them were undrafted, but they Edelman's, I guess his own thing. If you want.

"I think more importantly than what did the Patriots do with Nikhil Harry? I think we all are aware that Nikhil Harry is not a part of the future in New England, whether it's by trade, release, he's on the last year of his contract. There are obviously not picking up his 5th year option. Moving forward in the draft, the Patriots have always been reluctant in using premium picks on wide receivers. They've only drafted 7 guys in the top 100 in the Belichick era. One guy in the first round, how do you do you think that the Devante Parker trade I think on some ways the Devante Parker trade makes it so you don't need to draft a wide receiver early, but I'm still gonna make the case that they probably should draft a wide receiver early, but where do you fall on this prison because they haven't had good success with it? They don't necessarily have an opening immediately on the roster for that guy to play, but I think for market purposes, right? For value purposes, there's a really good argument that says that they still need to add wide receivers and continue to look at that position. All right, let me start with this. Jameson Williams, we need to stop with Jameson Williams, okay? I posted my mock draft. I traded down from 21, passing on Jameson Williams, rough look. You can't pass on Jameson Williams. What are you an idiot passing on Jameson Williams? If he's there at 21, they should run the card up to the table. I don't think he's there at 21. I don't think people understand like Jameson Williams, had he not gotten hurt in the national championship, is a top ten pick. There's no debate about it. He is a talking would have been right. He would have been the top receiver in this class. It wouldn't be close. He's going in the top ten. We're not even discussing it. And not only because imagine if he didn't get hurt in that national championship game, what his stats would have been in that game. I mean, he was already in that game too. Yeah. He was already on. He's not going to be there. He's not, he's already running like the injury looks like less and less of a concern. He's not, he's not going to be there. If he's there, again, run the card up. I'm not saying they shouldn't take him. I'm just saying, stop using Jameson Williams at 21..

"Live mock drive show two. Evan Lazar, Alex barth with you, as always. And we are going to take you through our second iteration of a patriots mock draft here going all 7 rounds every single pick. We're going to talk about the board. We're going to maybe make some trades. We're going to have some fun with it. But the main thing that we want to do here today, that I want to do here today is make a pick at 21. Last time we traded out at 21, it was the right thing to do based off the way at the board went, but I would really like to see us try to make a pick here at 21 today. If it goes our way and see where things go from there, I feel like at this point, Alex, the overwhelming consensus is that the Patriots are going to trade out at 21. Now it's becoming almost too much of a hot take, or too much of a take. A hot topic, I should say, too much of a group think that maybe they actually do something different. With that pick, then what we're all anticipating. So we're going to get into that. We'll get into the mock draft. Let's get right into it. Not much else going on, so we can just pull the my draft up right now. And once again, I want to reiterate that the goal here is to stick at 21, but as we saw last time, it's not always as easy to stick at 21 as we want it to be if everybody's off the board. But go ahead Alex whenever you're ready. All right, so I'll just let people say we're going to use the same settings we use last time. We're picking as the patrons. I'm doing this as much to make sure I got everything set. 7 fast. All right. We're not trading up. We agree we're not sure. We'll do a separate trade up, maybe that's next week. We will do a trade up mock draft. But let's see, remember, last week, we got no help from the board. Let's see how that changes a week later. Okay. It's a couple of directions we could go here. Yeah. Not as terrible as last time I would say. 20 hertz. Jordan Davis, booth, a lava. So not as rough this time leading up, but still not ideal. There's Jameson Williams. Walker went very early. Look, I understand that people, wow, ahmaud gardener, second, okay. I understand that people come at us about saying that too many guys are gonna go and whatnot. This is the way the board played out this time and just the people that are off the board going up at 21..

"That one could go, I think Gardner is going to be off the board, but they also went corner top ten last year too. Right. They have D.C. horn coming back. They re signed Dante Jackson so that right. I don't know if they'll go over there, but maybe the simulator is just thinking best player available. Right. Although Gardner, I think is a top ten pick. So is Stanley. I have stingley ranked ahead of Gardner. Charles cross falls a little bit. That's an interesting point. I would be more inclined to think that Panthers would go Charles cross with their pick over. I would too. This is an interesting one. Because there you go. All right, Trayvon walker, Malik Willis to Washington. That's kind of feels possible, I guess. Terrific Duffy. So here's the thing. The way this board went and it could go a number of ways. But the way this board went. Early run on corners. Not a great year to meet a corner for me this way. Trent mcduffie going very high. Carl Loftus falls a little bit, and I know you've been big on that. Devin Lloyd, Jordan Jordan Davis eagles. That's my pick. I think he goes to the eagles. We got James. This kills the Patriots right here. These are four. This was a murder boy. We just said that we weren't necessarily going to trade down, but now we might have to trade down because the way that this went was exactly the Patriots worst nightmare, right? These are realistic. We're going to discuss for the 21st pick. Yeah, this is a doomsday. Of course, it's the very first mock draft that we do. And then we have a doomsday scenario. Good straight off the bat. Good challenge. I think that let's talk about it though, because you just mentioned it. Jameson Williams, Trevor penning booth alaba. I think if they come away with it and then Jordan Davis was at 15, right? So he gave us one of those eagles picks. I think 16, 15, yeah. Yeah, so all of our and Garrett Wilson. So this is basically everybody that the Patriots might want to draft just went right off the board right before we could get to this pick. This is where you look at it. In a Devon, Lloyd went 14 is another one a lot of people. Right. So this is where I sit back and I look at it and I say, if this is the way that it looks, they got a trade down. They absolutely have to trade down because the drop off now that we're at is substantial where the guy that they're going to get when they trade down, I don't think is going to be that much worse. Now the problem that you have is that if you trade down too far, then for instance, if we go to the corner, so do we want to look at the best on the board, just laid out? Sure. But I think I would much rather draft him later. Right. Lindbergh's interesting one. I wonder if they would take a job over here and see it as value pick. No, I think it's still too high because he's going to be out for the whole year. The guy that I think is interesting here, if they're going to go that position, obviously, elam, we'll talk about too. I do like Jermaine Johnson from Florida state for them a lot..

"What the NFL scouting combine in full swing on Wednesday, a lot of news and notes and regards to the Patriots and we start with meetings. Yes, combine meetings, probably the biggest part for teams now in Indianapolis other than the medical evaluations that their team physicians do in India every single year is meetings, getting face to face with their personnel execs and the top draft picks in the NFL Draft in 2022 and the Pats are doing their homework on this wide receiver class. We've already reported on the fact that the Patriots met with three of the top wide receivers so far in indie and Ohio State's Chris olave, Alabama's Jameson Williams and Arkansas wide receiver treylon Burks on top of those three. We can also add to the list more top prospects out of the wide receivers meeting with New England and Alabama's John metchie who played with Mac Jones at Alabama and had a great rapport with Mac during that national championship season in 2020 and Kentucky do it all gadget wide receiver Juan Dale Robinson also confirmed a meeting with the New England Patriots brass in Indianapolis. So you have pretty much every top wide receiver prospect in the draft telling reporters in indie that they have met with New England at some point in the process. This goes on the heels of a lot of rumors connecting the Patriots to trade targets as well, such as Calvin Ridley, the Atlanta Falcons, and at this point, although this could just be smokescreen for the Patriots and we should mention that these meetings come with a grain of salt. This is a fact finding mission in Indianapolis. The Patriots are doing their due diligence by talking to all these wide receiver prospects and just because they had a meeting with them at the combine. Doesn't necessarily indicate that they are interested in drafting that player in April. But still, the Pats are kicking the tires on every available wide receiver. And at this point, it would be shocking if a legitimate wide receiver impact type of player at that position was not brought in by Bill Belichick this off season. We also heard from former patriots offensive coordinator and current raiders head coach Josh McDaniels, he was asked a lot of patriots questions at the podium today in the convention center in Indianapolis..

"Talk to them at the combine. You can talk to them at their pro day. And you can get them on FaceTime as in the run up to the draft. And the Patriots will probably do that multiple times with multiple players. But this is the first time that the Patriots have an opportunity to talk to the underclassmen. So who are they talking to according to our mondo of Al kick dot com? Of course, Chris olave, Arkansas trail and Burks and Alabama's Jameson Williams. Jameson Williams, of course, is coming off the ACL. That's going to be a big thing in talking to him. But those are all underclassmen and this is the first opportunity that the Patriots can get Intel. So that's what it's really about, that they need to, as opposed to the seniors who they've talked to, they have a bunch of information on, the underclassmen from the scouting combine through the draft are really going to be the emphasis as far as the Patriots just getting background information. And that's what it's about. It's not an indication of their interest and also that they're starting with wide receivers. The first groups coming through Indianapolis are the quarterbacks, the receivers and the tight ends. They have a quarterback, they signed two tight ends. They have Devin asiasi, they need to do some work on wide receivers. So that is the wide receiver's first is no indication of anything. They're just in the first group that comes through Indianapolis. It's the due diligence pretty much on these guys that they want to make sure nothing slips by them. They want to make sure that everything is on their radar, as you said, the Jameson Williams ACL tier, you know, how's he feeling, what he thinks, that process is going to feel like and look like all of that is just checking the box and making sure that you have as much information as possible on any of these guys. Because even if you don't draft them and we talk about this all the time, Greg, even if you don't draft a guy, you still might have some interest in him down the road. And so go back to everything that you've done. And that's it goes to the combine. It goes to the joint practices. It goes.

"He is a hard hitting player, but for the most part he's a finesse guy. He is not somebody that is going to take out the trash as Dante Hightower used to say and do the dirty work and take on blocks. He is an athlete that wants to be free to roam and free to make contact and be a heat seeking missile. And I think a lot of times when you look at that, you say, oh, well, that's exactly what they need. It is if they have a true mic that can be the guy that's going to be the sledgehammer. If they can have Devin Lloyd B, the weak side back or who is the chaser, then they can have a guy like that, but they still need that mic player. So when I look at it, I say, okay, I think quay walker, I think Christian Harris, for example, from Alabama. I think Chad Momo from Wyoming, those guys to me are not that much worse than Devin Lloyd, is the prospect compared to, let's say, Chris a lave to a sky more George pickens, those types of players. That to me is a more substantial drop off, which is why you think from a lava from a lava down to pickens is a substantial drop. I think from a lava to the guys that they could get with their second round pick at wide receiver. We're talking about a significant drop. The other thing that I would point out is the two Alabama guys are both coming off ACLs and not only am I concerned about the fact that they could re injure themselves at the NFL level because once you blow a knee out, it's very, very easy to re injure your ACL. Even the other one could go, right? Because you're overcompensating on the other leg. So re injury is a major concern. The other thing that I would say is a major concern is you're talking about a guy like Jameson Williams or John meche, maybe getting on the field again at full speed in August, September, maybe October of next year. So as much as I love the familiarity for a guy like John metchie with Mac Jones, I would be concerned about the fact that that player is basically lost for his rookie season because we know how the Patriots operate. We saw it with Nikhil Harry. We're talking about projecting that guy. And at the top of the draft this year for the Patriots, I don't think that they have the I don't think they have the flexibility.

The one thing that I love about what Alabama does and this does help when you have jaylen waddle and Jameson Williams and John matthey and you have these fast receivers. But what I like about Alabama does is they throw the ball to guys in motion that are already moving. So you can hit you can get the ball into these players hands when they're already going nearly at full speed. And that is, I think, a really nice wrinkle at the Patriots haven't done a ton of where you get a guy already rolling and then you toss the ball out to him and the flat, you give him some lead blockers and watch him go with it. There's some RPO concepts that obviously I hope that he would bring that Mac Jones farewell and then there was also some things with bunch formation stack alignments that I really like. They gave Georgia in particular, especially in the SEC title game. All sorts of fits with bunch three receiver bunch formations and attacking rules add a bunch sets. I think those are things that the Patriots would like to do as well, moving forward, and we've seen Josh McDaniels in the Patriots do at times here. So I think there are elements of Bill O'Brien's scheme, which really is a hybrid of the Patriots offense and is spread offense, right? And he's combined both of those concepts into one. And I think that was a big reason why he was successful in the beginning with deshaun Watson and why he was able to coordinate last year pretty well at Alabama almost to a national championship. So I like a lot of those things. I do think that O'Brien element of it though that you do have to consider is a little bit what we talked about with Mac last year is it's pretty easy to coordinate an offense with Jameson Williams and Bryce young and John mechie and the stable of just incredible talent that Alabama has, right? I mean, it's pretty hard to mess that up. So when you come to the league, things are a little bit more equal. I don't know how much that is going to be a factor. I like O'Brien. Well, here's the thing. If you want a guy, if you want them to draft, John met you, Jameson Williams. Right. I mean, O'Brien's probably gonna push for that, right? And then you probably have, at least with match, you probably have Mac pushing for it. So if you really want them to go the all out Alabama route and take John mechan in the second round, take Brian Robinson in the fourth round. Then you want O'Brien here then you're kind of stuck on that one. Yeah, I like O'Brien a lot. I think that it makes so much sense because he has adapted the patriot scheme. Now, a lot of the reason why he adapted this scheme because he started adapting it here in New England and from 20 2009 to 2012 before he went to Penn State..

"Off the board before they pick. Yeah, so the other Alabama receiver Williams, that he's good. He's going top ten. And he covers punts. He covered. He was their primary. So he not only was he their leading receiver this year. Jameson Williams, not only was he Alabama's leading receiver and keep in mind, this is one of the best passing offense in college football. He's out there covering punts out every single kick. Yeah, no, you don't Belichick doesn't want that guy. Too bad. He's going. He's going. You're right. I think that in the last long, right? Like you just don't you look at jaylen waddle. You look at John Ross even, right? I mean, you run like that. And he's got size, too, William. James is a big dude. Yeah. He's not just he's big. So I don't know. He's gone top ten. All right, that's been your college football hour with Alex barth. We'll be back on the show on Thursday to preview patriots. We're not even going to do the stadium upgrades. Go ahead. Give me give me your one minute take on the stadium upgrade. You know, it pushes off them having to build a new stadium for a little bit. I don't think the wind advantage is gone. I think it's lessened, but if you look, there's still there's opportunity for some weird wind tunnels there to that end. It'll be interesting. But look, it's gonna look cool and I like that they're accentuating the lighthouse, I guess, I don't know. It's a mixed opinions on it. We can't call it the open end of the stadium anymore. I guess we call it the new end of the stadium. We have a terminology. That's a tough part. It's so easy to the geography was so easy to understand and open end closed end. I think new end new endurance, the new end of the stadium. It's going to be kind of cool. There's an observation deck up there, though. That'll be neat. I thought that was your bedroom. Well, it was. Now they're kicking me out. Matt Dahl is running joke is that I live in the lighthouse and I zipline down to the practice field. I think he's onto something. But yeah, I don't hate it. I think it's nice. Look, I think the stadium needed something that had a little bit more, I don't know. Pizzazz, right? Like a little bit more aesthetically pleasing. And right now the Gillette, the lighthouse is cool. I like the I always liked the lighthouse and keeping the lighthouse. But it does feel outside of the lighthouse like a pretty generic built in the early 2000s NFL football stadium, right? It's just not, there's not much character to it outside of the lighthouse. So I do like the fact that they are adding a little bit more spice and they're not building a new stadium knocking this one down and building a monstrosity. We're seeing some other places quite yet. I don't want one of those..

"Yep, I'm already nervous for you later on in this game, asking you. My player of the game is because there's so many choose from It's coming. It's coming here shortly for 47 to go Try this again on 4th and 18 now for 25 yard line, Christmas punch right to left. O'clock, 10 snap back to Christmas. Another flag down, fellas, fellas, We're gonna go the natty slow down. What a process Feel like I think I'm pretty sure Ohio State just went three and out. But unlike seven place No, we'll start offense number 65 Yard penalty still fourth down. They still haven't even put it. So what's going on here? That was on the gunner Jameson Williams Touchdown catch earlier tonight. I'll bring this note up again here, Eric. If you're gonna run away and we do clean on 4th and 23, backing up on fielding his Rogers falls for a fair catch close to the clubs in 26 yard line. As it stands, we will see Ohio State Take on Alabama in the national championship in Miami only three times in the AP poll era so that since 1936 has a national champ, played eight games or less Minnesota did a three times 1936 1940 in 1941. If Ohio State finishes likely and then defeats number one Alabama they would join that club of one, then two Lawrence and the Tigers from their own 28. Trevor rolls, Right throws pot at the 35 yard line by E. J. Williams and then wrestled out of bounds shy the line the game 8 to 9 yards. That would certainly for a preview, but we should mention State in Alabama did meet in the first ever edition of the college football playoff is ICO. Elliot and the boys came out on top with an impressive showing. Dr. Staff to Lawrence Winds up grows pot Williams left side this time out on the flat. It once and then pulled out of bounds into the Ohio State bench. First down for Clemson. That's right. See kid that game he did a good team there. Of dying on the play. We're approaching the four minute mark, left in the fourth quarter, right to left, Learns to throw pumps once was right winds up checks down part by Rogers for a gain of about a half a yard. That's it all right, Bird. It's time. I need, you know, a little down to arm or driven player of the game who want to go with it? It's gonna take me to plays what you put in here in a second, but the stars were out tonight for our state. Justin Fields, Trey Sermon Crystal Ave. Three Best players all showed up in a big way. Fits right with triangle formation to the right. Lawrence winds up on the shotgun throws incomplete, intended on the left side outside the numbers for Cornell. Powell will bring a third down and nine but look, you got it. You got to take your hat off Justin Field. He's the player of the game, and it's not close. And here's why. The numbers are awesome. 22 2885 yards and six. That's right. I said six touchdowns. Incredible on play actually stretch the field, but more importantly, he look Trevor Laurence, one of the best players in college ball history in the eye, and I'll continue to second Lawrence to throw on 39 right side coming back and going low to get it. Is a Mari Rogers makes the catch of the 40 yard line outside the right numbers. First down for the Tigers, and he stood toe to toe with Trevor Laurence, and he outplayed him. Look, Trevor Laurence has played a nice game. It's not not a fault. Trevor Laurence is just just a field came out here and played his best game of his career. On the biggest stage. You gotta take your hat off to him. I'm really happy for the kids because it's It's been awesome to watch him tonight and the way is florist and finally got this offense rolling where I think a lot of people knew it was capable of After 13 Yard pastors, a five yard completion of William's second four e guess, officially six Lawrence looking to throw guns it right side down. The numbers on that ball is caught by Galloway..

"Like much. It was a stop route, but they were on the right half smart. No LA veranda come back along the left sideline. That's a lot of air time. You gotta have a rocket arm and he did it right there. 1st 10 field going to his right out of the shotgun stamp fires and has a man complete. Jameson Williams. Steps out of bounds in the Buckeye bench near the 43 yard line. They'll need another footprint for yet another first down so second four upcoming for Ohio State leads a 21 to 14. It's interesting. Earlier tonight, the Buckeyes were huddling Most every play. There have been some not so I guess. Direct talk. Hold one sermon bust through breaks a tackle off a horse collar 35 30 running to his left, trying to spin off another and finally twisted out of bounds at the 27 yard line. They went with no huddle on that play and sermon. Took the handoff and found a crease between the center in the left guard, and they started to his left. Wow. Race sermon is running with a purpose that I hear Sean that was inside zone. A Clemson defender had trace sermon around the neck, trying to wrestle him down. He just took him off. Like he was nothing like the fly off of a giant horse who is galloping town field. That was beautiful. 30 yards on the Kerry. Unbelievable run by Tracer band Man What a night he is having so far he carries two yards touchdown graduate transfer from Oklahoma takes the handoff sermon running to his right can't get up field north and south Gate of a yard on the play. It's interesting sermon. His first career touchdown reception was from Baker Mayfield at Ohio Stadium in 2017. Three on the tackle for the Tigers and now an injured Clemson defensive lineman. This is Tyler Davis, the sophomore from Apopka, Florida. There is some booing going.
