"So I'm still aw GONNA say hung. I'm in this is why prosecution people that I know in that office Manhattan. Da's office feel very good about where they are right. Now and the specially they feel like the ones that they're back they defense and people who I talked to Tina. Who was there macgyver observations nations? She knows what her way around a courtroom. Obviously she thinks that the the the defense is making real headway there. So if that's the case given these split and given the composition gender listening and everything else I still think. It's a tough jury. Yeah I think it's a tough this case to get a conviction I really looking for in that jury if you had a magic wand and you were defending Weinstein I would want older women And I would want Men who understood That there was a time where sex could be could be They would get the idea of sexist transaction and older women would have A. Hey Sweetie shouldn't have gone up to his hell Rome certain then you tax it him. Two days later and vitamin out for branched. Come on Donna. Rotondo that's exactly what she said. Did you want if you didn't want this to happen. Why did you go up to the hotel room now? You save that in. I guess a female can say that but a male cancer right. That's one of the reasons you have to have a female defense. Were because we would get We would become Vagina Dick's if we had that so you can't go down that road. But clearly when Donna was saying that Donna understood that resonates with people and you know for as politically incorrect as it is. There are people who buy that. I know uh plenty of women who who think the exact same thing I think most America thinks something of it like he raped you and then you invited him to Brunch Today's later what does that mean. That's all America men can't really voice it out loud on it. Here's something that you're uniquely qualified I to answer Jay Z.. was sitting for the National Anthem at the Super Bowl and then Jay Z.. Was Interviewed at the ninety ninety. Second Y. or something. He was interviewed at he sort of gave an answer. That didn't sound right. which is he was in charge of the entertainment and he was distracted bidder? Forgot to stand up first off there's somebody on the blower you're saying and now all stand like there's a command to stand there where he was. He was completely surrounded by people that were standing right now. Couple things he got together with Goodell and and the football and he made a comment about cap about. Hey maybe it's time taking a pass kneeling okay by the way. It's funny you should do. You see what I'm wearing right now tough skins reinforce jeans. Oh I was looking at your knee. You're working your cabinet. Fubu esquire mark. That's on your tombstone. I Gary Your parents on its way by the way thirteenth thirteen. So What is Jay z doing in? Who is he doing it for well cynically and then why he pronounced Hypo? Oh why co- come forth with the. I was distracted. I like I wanted to see the Mike heightened or whatever but when she stand up to see how the MIC was setup or whatever you're looking at well and I don't think I don't think The his wife and child were producing but I could be mistaken family mom and his mom and the hit right. They're all sitting there. What was I? I think that he's telegraphing. Support at the same time that he's cashing tens of millions of dollars of checks for the halftime. Show the The idea that were passed dealing but at the same time time. You're the hypocrisy of all of this is if you're going to say okay we're GONNA ostracized the Guy Capture Nick and we're not gonNA put him on the field and we're not can assign him and we moved past him then. Don't do a PSA public service announcement during the Super Bowl by the NFL on people of Color. Who Black lives matter thing right? Well that's I mean seriously. That's just the height of hypocrisy where we're now all of the road when it comes to messaging and one thousand percent community watch that and you say you know I what am I going to. Ah Miami get mad. Somebody like he's been in this for my entire life. You know talking about how fucked up the criminal justice system is and I dislike the fact fact that the NFL is doing a PSA. No I guess I don't but at the same time and my conflicted by the fact that they've ostracized the guy who brought the attention. Peter brought you know if it hadn't been for capital. Do you think that they would have played that now. Rivaldo not feeling break the of course and but I will on the bright side. This week I sent the article do But I'm I'm still before we shift ears. I still am curious. So Jay z's in charge of the halftime time show right. He's the entertainment and and presumably is also in charge of the national anthem. Well he you know he's got a company called rock nation right and I believe they are in the sports world. He's sitting for what reason in your opinion. I I think he's trying to telegraph that he still supports. Because he's taken so many you know famously said I've taken I can take a couple of rounds of bad publicity or take a a lot of shots from his own constituency correct and our human cap. Are they still few NEIDL. Thinks that I don't think that they're speaking. You know it's interesting. I saw also so Lebron also said today we are tweeted either today or yesterday they interviewed Lisa. Leslie Kale Gayle King In. Did you see that Kale Interviews Lisa Leslie about Kobe now. I know Lisa you know fairly well. She's a coach at the big a In the big three her husband's a wonderful guy that We spent some time with antennae after the championship at staples this year and She's a great coach. Coach along with Nancy Lieberman. They've been coaches of the year back to back and she sits Donald Gayle King and she does this interview and she I think usually aware of it. Yeah and Lebron says we are our own worst enemy I think is what he tweeted that I was thinking the same thing. What was yeah protector at all? 'cause you're real superheroes so you had to go through this shit. We are more stymies mom for life. I agree you know they. This is what this he's he's saying he's saying lease Lisa. Leslie had to sit there and you know the this is. I'm telling you Lisa Leslie is one of the most accomplished wish people died after her answer was very eloquent. Yeah she did a great job of answering. Yeah lebrons pissed at Gayle Gayle King. Yeah Yeah dogs had some choice words. Well her tell you in this this ties back to your Michael Richards Story. Yeah can we see this. Can we play this blocks away if this is anybody but snoop Dogg. They'd have worn out for them right out of pocket for way out of pocket you gain from that he's wearing don't rag. He's super pissed. I swear to God we'd a worse can worse. We expect more from you gail over. Why are attacking us we owe people? You Ain't come after fucking Harvey Weinstein estimate dumb ass questions. I get sick a Ya'll I wanNA call you would. Is it. Okay if I call one. Funky Dole hit beach. How dare you try to towards my mother fucking homeboys reputation punk motherfucker respect to family and Bagshaw? Aw Bits before we come gauge phases. Christ oh you know and I haven't talked to Cuba. I'm sure Cube I. I hate to to speak for him. But I'm sure Cuba's angry at because cube and snoop both were close but this goes back to your original point mind thank you the bullshit of a case that was dismissed. The prosecution's stood up into Smith case against Kobe. There and did he subtle later on. Yeah because it says he want he wants to put it behind him. Yeah I mean nowadays. You probably wouldn't but back then you would just to be done with this thank the he wasn't convicted of God. Damn thing and the idea that at this time when he died with his daughter by all accounts the guy is a spectacular McHugh and then he dies tragically with his daughter. And then you're I'm with I'm with I. I wouldn't say the same thing as snoop that I'll come get you but and I would five the way. I don't think if I said Gail would worry but snoop I'd I'd I'd be a little bit worried. Well I WANNA ask all Shinto. It's a bullshit entity idea that it's journalistically responsible. WHO's Porsche well? Sadly here's where we're at and this happens. We have have black lives matter. And now it's bumping up against me too so you've taken to movements in your ramming into each other you don't have this promise around with black lives matter if you're just talking about Donald trump whether he's up there and you don't have it the other direction but now what do you do so you're going and well there's me too. That's a movement. I'm a woman but I'm black but there's black lives matter like what are we doing here and this is kind of what you're seeing. You're seeing what it looks like every once in a while when you see the tide rolling out a new wave comes in and they just kind of Bush together and just kind of go up into the air. It's just it's there is always an America. Pendulum swing the right. All I want to know and so maybe this is the proper time to get into this. I think think the lay person thinks that Kobe sexually abused this person and then paid her to make make it go away. But you're saying there's a step in between there were. The prosecution dropped the case so they didn't feel like they had enough to work with and Kobe. Paid to stop the subsequent case which way to go and understandably I mean you never settle a case unless you make intellectually or strategically a cost benefit analysis is that is it nuisance value. I mean you've made you made certain calculations with the trolls with patent trolls. I mean that was a calculation that you made right. Yeah I didn't settle with them. I'm for monetary standpoint but we got them to drop their kids and talking. You probably could have bought your way out of that but also oh at the beginning. Yeah but you didn't want to what right but what I'm saying what you're saying is is you cutting someone. A check is an admission of guilt. Like I think people people think of correct normally that way often times when it's more expensive to litigate and or Kobe's time is worth a lot. Jim Corolla sitting on a cellphone out. That that guy guys out doing things you know what I mean so going back and forth to Denver and all whatever but you're saying that civil trial right this is what is what he paid the criminal. The prosecution and Pat Mackie. who was his lawyer lawyer? Who is one of the most able criminal defence lawyers in America and by the way a female? If you couldn't tell by the name Pam and that's in criminal defense is very tough Area to break into if you're a females. I always talked to about by PAM. Got What they're convinced them to stand up and dismissed that case after she did a spectacular job pretrial. So you're mine abuse news of something. The system has deemed you innocent of this crime or not worthy of pursuing a conviction. You you then pay money to avoid all the costs that go along emotionally with the family and the news and travel everything else you cut a check. It's it's a business decision to void the civil and you're saying we should turn the page. This is not relevant anymore. It's exactly right and I will tell you I. I don't even know I wasn't involved in the civil at in at any point but I don't even know if an insurance company didn't make the calculation to write a check his homeowners homeowner's insurance might have there might have been coverage there may have been an umbrella policy that had coverage meaning that you have you have insurance coverage anywhere. You go on.

"james woods" Discussed on Reasonable Doubt

"This is a reasonable doubt with your hosts Mark Guarantees Adam. Yeah get it on got to get on. No choice began mainly get on and wasn't the best hour in the universe. It's reasonable doubt. I'm Adam Pearl Raw. Has Mark Geragos over there in the studio. I want you to know. I flew in from polygamous central which is the courtroom. I'm in Salt Lake City just to see you. It's also naming your basement isn't it. Yeah polygamous central remember going down there it was dark and there was like whoa lipped about time. Determinate Number of kids. I want you to know that I'm just in the process of having the book that I'm writing edited and you know they do the copy stuff and they would come back with a lot of stuff like you you said you're leaving the airport you said. Lax We should write Los Angeles Internet. And I'm like people know what. La is by the way. I said the word airport part two two words earlier. I think there's some contacts you know. And at some point in their it says Mark Garriga's and they wrote wrote back we should say attorney Marc arrogance and I said people know the name mark us so I'm not going to soften it by saying attorney and his that pejorative. This has been a week of legal news. That is really kind of epic I mean and first of all the president gets acquitted and we could talk about Mitt Romney also of Utah. Speaking of Utah being the only Republican who voted to acquit. Our to convict. I should say and the only one who crossed party lines to do it and we could talk about Adam Schiff but you know what I really WanNa talk about on the Front Gary. Do you have those that New York Post article because the thing I mean here you've got the only the third presidential trial in history right and to in our lifetime. Believe it or not and sick human than I am. The thing English interested me most this week. Even while I'm in trial with a guy who's testifying that his dad may have one hundred kids and and he's got twenty kids and the guys twenty years years younger than me and he's got twenty kids. Imagine twenty kids. And besides that the thing that interests me is the New York Post with the covering the Weinstein trial And I forget which witness it was but she went into great detail about Harvey's vagina addict. Jessica Man it was Jessica Mania Vagina Dick and the black heads all over his back. Now Gary can you show. Can you put the V. The illustration. Because there's no cameras in the courtroom. But I I just want to set this up because you have to take a look at the illustration because then I'm going to ask you a question because I've had this conversation adversary all week even while in trial I'm having it with other lawyers with federal agents in the courtroom and I of universally come. I'm to a to a conclusion but gary gotta show me the well we saw some we saw is oh my God. That's the back with the black. Okay so I want you to see the other one artist's rendering they don't they don't have I and some point we're going to talk about the insanity the of not allowing cameras in the courthouse but now allowing someone to draw villagers what is going on in the courtroom courtroom. I can understand the decree of no depictions of what goes on in the courtroom or I could understand. The decree of everything that goes on in the courtroom room is accessible. I don't get the middle ground of no cameras. But we'll have a skill guy doing his best camera impersonation by drawing stuff so Weinstein Weinstein has black heads which these are not to scale because if the blackhead were really truly black heads it'd be the size of silver silver dollars on his back. Nobody's got a black head that big on the other hand let me say this. This strategy may backfire on the prosecution. I'll tell you why pardon the Pun. Okay wait maybe you're gonNA come to exactly where I where I'm in love popping sets. That's the number one passion. That's why Dr Pus. It channel popper. Since she's a high rating history channel's ever had because okay so checks love getting at Zig and so they may be attracted to this to this. This is what I said. That was not where I was going. That's why that's why I'm glad I came. And I have had a one hundred percent response rate on this from males every every male that I have asked if you had to have Jessica man get on the stand and you knew it was coming because you've got the discover you know what she would say so. The discovery is they've turnover turnover the police reports. They've turned over. The interviews testified in front of the grand jury. You know she's going to get on the stand and she's going to and you also know that a search warrant was executed executed on your Genitalia. Because you had to go yet. Have you had to drop trial and you had to have them take pictures of you so you know all all that. Is there anybody who wouldn't plead to something. Even if they didn't do it rather than to have plastered on the New York Post and around the the world for the rest of Your Life Harvey Sixty seven that you have a vagina. Dick any and every single male I know says yeah. I plead to something else. I I could not let that happen I could not. That's not the way I'm going out young old or whatever well as I was talking about an ACS. Well I will well. I think you'll hear it on Monday as saying you're here in terms of the part where like I talked to Gloria allred my talking about Michael Richards and she was saying. Why shouldn't he be punished? And I said Oh my God. Is He being punished unemployable. He's a pariah there's Vagina Dick Pictures Weinstein scene. You'll never work again in this town. He'll never go to another cocktail party though he he. He is untouchable at at this point terms of have creative collaborative. Whatever he won't be divorced? Kids won't talk to him and no income though anything I mean. This man has been shunned. It's like like what do you put the garlic center right. And not only is he in the stocks in the middle of town and everyone's farting buys head as they walk. Hi but the vagina. Dick takes it to the next level. I just don't know any I. I'm telling you I've asked guys in their twenties. I've ask guys in their seventies. I've asked tough guys I bass marshalls I've asked prosecutors. Have One guy who says yeah. That's the way I WANNA go out. I want it'll be those for China deck is a strategy and I was sort of pontificating on it but if you got the judge and you mark arrogance were representing the giant Dick himself and he and he was getting ready to sentence and you could say to the judge judge. Look what we're doing here. Is this kind of punitive part. This is the part where he's he's done. These horrible things and we figure out what to do with him for these sins. You know certain cultures. They may cut a finger off other cultures solitary confinement. Now it's everything in between there's possibility of parole there's club Fed. There's house arrest just with the Ankle Bracelet after you've done your thirty six months or whatever. It is judge the fact that this man is a laughing stock pariah that he's been dragged through the mud. which then had a puddle of tar and then a big pile of feathers after that and run out on a rail the amount of psychological the amount of putting first off? We could never recreate this sitting in a prison cell. This is worldwide. He'll never be he'll never be able to come back to Los Angeles will never ever go to another party. He'll never go out to eat. Can we factor that in to the sentencing. Meaning I think most people go Gimme seven even years and none of this for or Gimme for years and then dove abby seven and this well I've used the argument a couple of times and it's you almost universally true. I thought of it again this week because the guy from I think it's called WorldCom Bernie Ebbers. Who was who was famously convicted? And did some time died. And I think he was seventy eight seventy nine and one of the arguments I always make especially with these guys who have these monumental collapses that end up in the fraud fraud prosecutions. I said that's the first paragraph of their obituary. That's how they're remember right for ever. I mean they are your brain with that. You're saying always the judge. I don't care if the guy does ten years when he gets out the punishment continues as he the rest of his life and is there any traction action I get. Sometimes I get that but generally there is a tendency to especially when you're in the moment in these cases where people want to you know they always say they want to send a message to my old man famously. Always used to say if you want to send a message. Use Western Western Union now. Nobody knows nor Western Union is but that was what it is high predictions. This how can you in. which is it okay? I'm GONNA give you both perspectives. So I've talked with some carried. You see Gary Tita. Tina breath audit was spotted. That's with her boyfriend to do. You have the video game put up video. That's are walking into the courtroom. She was am and this the speculation in the media speculation so funny. That people were speculating that she was there. Because one of the previous cross examinations hasn't Didn't go so well she. She and her boyfriend are walking into the lawyer to lawyer. Exactly I from from an optics standpoint need a female lawyer yeah and this is worked for my firm and so people were speculating that the trial was going bad and he was calling in reinforcements namely Tina to walk into the courtroom and they were speculating as to whether that was was ineffective assistance. Okay Well Finding Your Dad's dated Western Union Metaphor calling in the cavalry is another another horse. Could Ever GonNa Happen again here. She's boyfriend Michael Walking into the courthouse. Michaels a very handsome guy. Don't you think I do know that her parents would be very happy if they and then here is Michael. Biden's wife railing on. Yeah we hear what she says. Gary this is Linda is a very accomplished. That's not really really good. Because you had to keep it in Equa Pos for Harvey Weinstein if you're representing him to you got Jessica that they can say well. Maybe this is not guilty for Jessica Man. I'm throwing out all the rest but so by the time you get the Jessica. Everyone seen or I'm Linda Kenney Baden and I'm being accused of upset so maybe the end is there to possibly come in and say Ineffective Assistance Council problem with the judge. Whatever later on at the trial interesting potential theories and again we're looking leaves blackout obtain five year we put in a call? Eighteen Glenn's law firm have not received. And there she goes Michael He is representing Harvey Weinstein. Or not but certainly an interesting interesting person to spot in that courtroom in Lower Manhattan. If I were Michael Baden by the way yeah and you were married to me. Yeah I'd get every fucking thing I wanted all the time I'd be like and here's how it would work conversation work woman. I'm in the mood for MEATLOAF and then I'll take my blow job and then she'd go call popping up. You understand.

It really is. So you should do that. If ever you go to California say to Disneyland or something like that just truck on down to Torrance and go there, you will not regret it. They had the the Bancroft wing there, which is where we just sort of hang out with being bags on the ground, and it'll sleeping bags. We reeled. A little books of. Promise that Tom. Grills prices have gone up. I do want to mention they have crazy. The food is really good. That's one good for dollar glass of bacon. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Anyway, this for this episode. "Investigate. We'll get to that. The former governor of Pennsylvania says democratic governor Pennsylvania says don't investigate legislate. Trump says to compla- this game. Great advice for anyone out there. Do not talk too loud on your cell phone in public. Yeah. Never know. Who is listening? Would you could you on a train, you probably shouldn't? If you're on a train do not talk too loud. Because you never know who is listening and who will make your conversation public. Representative Jerrold Nadler found ranking member on the House Judiciary committee found that out. We'll have that for you. The Republican fight begins for the minority leader looking back at the midterms, and where the Republicans need to go at this at this moment. You're you're telling me looking at some of the stats out. There of you know, the the Republicans losing suburban women various interesting also to note, Wall Street Journal brought this up that if you look at Michigan, and Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin places where the president one was strong. They lost those right? And it's very important as we talk about what you need to do. I think the overall, and it's in a wait, and you really can't make up it's maybe an unfair measurement. But it does show the excitement level of the Democrats to vote where I believe it was in the house. Races over six million more Democrats came forward and voted you have to understand President Trump won by a sliver, right? He won by a sliver. And this is the the advice that that we have given this White House before and given the Republicans before which is it's not enough just to fight. I like it because he's a fighter doesn't matter. If you're a fighter if you don't win one hundred percent of the time in politics, and especially as a Republican. Yeah. And I think to we have to remember that the Republicans the sweep of power that was in two thousand sixteen that went to the right aside from the White House on all levels from local government up to the federal level that was not at play during the midterm this time right that that was not evident. So the question is given that there is software support on the right in those areas where that they'll states, especially that pushed the president. Over the top, especially with the electoral college. Then that was that was not in play this time. The question is how do you repair that? If you can't right wha-. What do you do it as we have said? That's why you make sure you know, the old might as my dad said you need to be right and business one hundred percent of the time. I remember looking at him saying, you can't be Brighty said will sure you can you just don't say anything, and you shut up until you're, you know, sure hundred percent, right. You don't go. And you just don't go off the cuff, and you don't become just emotional. You back it up with facts, if you're going to become emotionally because there's times we become emotional. But you back it up with facts, you don't get caught. In lies that don't matter. Just for the sake of thinking that you're winning an argument at that moment, we'll get to that coming up here in just a little bit. But again after studying and watching and really studying this this film because it got to be zoo yesterday. Well, Jim Acosta didn't touch the intern with his with his hand. He didn't push her away. He didn't we have gone through it. And we're looking at the YouTube Trump clashes with the cost in a testy exchange, which is seven minutes and fifty eight seconds long. And it's right at the one thirty Mark. The one minute and thirty second Mark where you clearly conc-, and I think James woods added on his Twitter page down to the actual moment happened. Yeah. And and he if you want to say it in a legal way. Jim Acosta is physically aggressive, and he is the aggressive one and pushes the interns hand away with the side of his hand. Just above the wrist because you've got to be insane. When I woke up just end like this is insane. Because all I saw him social media. Well, it wasn't. It was his arm. Well, he actually didn't use his hands. No was the risk. No. It was. It's like, okay. Then we need to be specific. This is the world that we live in. So you've got to be absolutely specific. So you can make your point without question where there's no debate because you have the evidence with the tape right in front of you had he had that been a man would have done that. Well, that's that's what we we can go into a whole bunch of different things. Does does this show? Jim Acosta's disrespect for women. Would he have done that to a man, but he is the physically aggressive one and pushes her arm away? There's no way to see it. Otherwise, look, it's very evident. When you watch it. And you slow it down right at that point. And you can see because she makes a grab twice before foreign, and it's the third one where she goes because she went over his arm, then she went under his arm. And that's when he took his hand. And he pushed her oh end. Did you see the look on her face? She turned around. I I don't know who she was looking at. I don't think it was the president is the president was standing up at the podium, so he would have been higher. I think she was looking at at someone else. Maybe one of her supervisor's there in the White House, but she turned around like what in the world am I supposed to do here? And he asked this question, and he wanted another one the president said, no he commented there's a cost of commandeer the pressroom every chance he gets. And let's I'm gonna play it right up to that. Mark. Okay. Here's here's the actual audio. So you can hear the tone of the president in this. Right. Okay. So you can hear the entire tone. We go. Challenge you on on one of the statements that you made in the

"You know, this is sort of Titus back to your last caller. I think that you know, he's got an interesting perspective. But you know, when when celebrities make their views known almost nine out of ten times, if not more it's Republicans are conservatives that are appeased by what the celebrities saying because celebrities by a disproportionate number. It'd be Democrats. Yeah. So you don't hear Democrats? They're not upset about when James woods. He's he's back on Twitter. Right. Well, you know for every James woods though there. There's there's ten Taylor SWIFT's. But, but that's the irony is all the Holly. How can the Hollywood elite talking yet? They celebrate James woods, but he's conservative on. They'll celebrate or Chachi. Chachi loves Joni Joanie loves Chachi, a big supporter, Scott. KOA huge conservative. Right. And he said he made outrageous statements, if I recall correctly that got him in some trouble, so did James woods, which is what got him the ten day ban or temporary ban on Twitter. You can't say certain things. But it's interesting. Yeah. I hate those Hollywood liberals as long as I disagree with them. We're back to that. So is there such a thing as a race happening in the United States right now? Where it's not about bitter partisanship. But it's about maybe a positive future. Can you think of one like the ten K here in Minneapolis? I think that's the race. That's happening. That has no politics. I got it. I was like ten K isn't that a public filing for the company that we're talking about here? I there's not a race in the country that doesn't have a little bit of that. So actually, it's interesting. We're we're in Minneapolis right now. And while we have a saying, there's a there's actually know we talking about the Blue Wave affecting the house. There's one of the western suburbs of Minneapolis, isn't there's a really big contested race. That's right. It's era. I'm looking at some people right now who are live in that district. Erik Paulsen against dean Phillips Paulsen is Republican incumbent who might lose threat. I mean, the seats been in in Republican hands for about forty since nineteen sixty one so much fifty years going on sixty so in it's it's really considered to be a real toss up state. I mean, I think if there was a New York Times pull the came out. I don't believe it. I don't believe the. The inclusion, but they have dean Phillips the democratic challenger up by nine points. It seems very high. But nonetheless, I think it definitely is swinging singing singing democratic I think that's indicative of a lot of urban areas an ex urban areas across the country where they've been kind of purplish, and this is a this is obviously a district that although Paulsen one two years ago, the Republican it did go for Hillary by a significant margin. So I think there's a handful of districts around the country. They were you know, went for Hillary. The the thought that they were electing a Republican to be a check on Hillary and now with Trump in the office. Now, they want to check on Trump. Yeah. By the way, I'm a big fan of checks on the executive power. That's what the legislative branch is supposed to do. Not just people. I like checks when they have my name on it. That's better, especially if the number of digits and to the left of the decimal point exactly the greater that is better, Eric we were saying always great to talk to you. Thanks for having me. Thanks. Thanks so much for for joining me and good to see you here at the Minova summit coming up in just a minute. I want to take your calls here. "And all it was just everything was there. I mean, they had so much delicious food. I mean, really snacks. But delicious food that they were handing out to people. So we were hanging out. My my brother mentioned something to me because he said, I forget even how it came up. But I said something like, you know, James woods of Twitter accounts. Really funny. You should follow it. You know, he's he's really sharp guy. My brother told me, and I didn't realize that the time will, you know, James woods was friends with grandma with our grandmother. I said what what do you mean? James woods was friends with our grandmother. I didn't I didn't know that. And it seemed like. Pretty random thing to find out. And he said, yeah, no a long time ago when when my grandmother was a an actress and not really professionally but did did a fair amount of a theater here. And there I think she did do some paid work. I know she'd been a commercial model, but my grandmother was in a play, and she was quite a bit older than James woods. He was just starting out his career, and they got along very well. And she thought very highly of him, and you know, they they work together on this play for a whole season, or whatever you call it when the play goes on. So James woods tweeted something at me last night. And I figured you know, what I'm just going to give this ago wondering if this family lawyer is true. So I responded to him as an aside. My mother recently told me that you are acquainted with my dearly. Departed grandmother, gene, a wonderful and elegant woman, I believe you did a play with her many years ago wanted to tell you the. Grandma, gene, thought of you as brilliant, funny and talented, well, James woods soon. Thereafter responded. I always said Jean was the best judge of character. Seriously. Gene was a lovely woman. I'm sorry. She is no longer with us. But but I guarantee she enrich the lives of all. She knew she made mine better in the early starving actor days for sure. Now that was a really nice little message from James woods. I I have to say I've always thought he was a good actor, and he's also obviously a good guy. And it's just so funny. What a small world that my grandmother. Many many years ago would have been acting in a play with James woods. And then without either of us ever, knowing we're interacting on Twitter and turns out that we have this connection and he remembers her. So I thought that was kind of fun. You know, occasionally social media is not the terrible. Cesspool of the worst of humanity, occasionally, there's something that comes from it. That's kind of fun and nice other than talking to all of you, which is always fun. And I it's why we say use the roll-call for Facebook dot com slash Buck Sexton. Grandma. Gina was amazing many of you listening. This would have really liked her. She was a devout Catholic. But she was really into the theater, obviously, she did this play with James woods. She was into ballroom dancing. She would tell us to listen. She was a big proponent of listening to the music of that music from the thirties and the forties. So. I think you Frank Sinatra and all that she she's she was a truly one of a kind elegant woman, and she's very much missed. She was a throwback to another era in all the best ways. And I just thought it was so funny that James woods in her new other. So anyway, it was nice. And I appreciate it James being so so gallant, and and friendly about the whole thing we have rollcall which is going to be coming up here in just a moment team. So Garrity for that. You know, that's always that's always exciting stuff. And I get to hear from all of you. So that's coming up. Stay with me. You want to be smart when you're hiring? You don't.
