"In general most hotels except for the extraordinarily fancy ones seem to be repositories for loneliness desperation and bodily fluids some more than others. This episode is brought to you by hotels. Dot com hotels dot com. Who either you need a prostitution sting. A meth lab or just a quiet place to kill someone you can find it at hotels dot com. You've probably heard of the ceasefire hotel in downtown. Los angeles ryan murphy did a season of american horror story based on it. I haven't seen it. I'm sure it's very ryan murphy. To which i say. Keep sarah paulson. Forget the rest. The most famous story from the soul is about a lisa lamb. and we'll get to her but lambs mysterious. Death was only the most recent in a century. Long string of awfulness that took place at the see-saw from suicides too gruesome murders two serial killers lurking the halls the seasonal hotel. As you'll soon find out is either cursed or just a magnet for the most down and out people enough to need a hotel in downtown los angeles built in nineteen twenty four for a million dollars. Fifteen million and today money by hotel. Your william banks hanner the seasonal hotel boasted seven hundred rooms a marble lobby stained glass and a grand staircase as fancy as it was the sole had shared bathrooms which will be common important. Negative information later on suite. Bathrooms weren't common in hotels and boarding houses until a little later. The hotel opened in nineteen twenty seven and was a big success almost instantly hosting visitors from out of town as well as local angelenos. The soul may well have been on its way to being a destination for international business and social elites as hanner had intended but in one thousand nine hundred eighty nine. The great depression hit. That's some really shitty luck. That's like someone opening a new high end restaurant in january twenty twenty. Like how could you possibly see what was barreling toward you. You might be thinking. Daisy what the f. is stranger unexplained about a fancy hotel that goes bust in the great depression to which i say. Please stop yelling at me. I'm getting to it even before the stock market crash in the fall of nineteen twenty nine. Things started looking shaky for the cease in april of that year thirty-three-year-old dorothy roberson tried overdosing on prescription drugs in her room and was taken to the hospital after wandering around the hotel for three days to me. It's not necessarily strange that someone would choose a hotel as the ideal place to kill themselves at that. Seems like a relatively straightforward choice. What's odd to me about this. Is that no one seemed to notice or wonder why there was a delirious woman wandering the halls or had the idea that she might need medical attention for three days. How does something like that go unnoticed. The great depression changed the cels neighborhood. Dramatically downtown. la once a hot spot for tourists and nightlife became a hub for newly homeless. "And It just seems like you know, you don't know what they're going to do until the game is over. Yeah, No, I mean, like, I think you said you said it the best and most simple way They are totally unpredictable. To look like they could win the NBA finals in the first half of a game. And then blow a 26 point lead and lose and just totally fall apart in the fourth quarter. I don't It's baffling to me. It's baffling to me, but When they get when they start struggling, and they can't get a basket like they get really, really tight, and that's what you've seen here in games four in Game five. Now they didn't do that. Game six. I don't know what you're going to get tonight. I really, really don't. I'm going for Philly. So good luck. All right. There he is. James from Denver, says Philly. Um There's seven point favorites. So I if I was giving an unbiased Pick. I would I would say the Sixers for sure. I saw that recently. Joe L and B got got fined 35 grand. I think there was a little bit of a skirmish. That happened. Um, during the game and and beat got fined 35,000 for escalating the scuffle with John Collins. Even though uh oh, and not cooperating with postgame security after the game, Whatever that means. An interview after the game. I guess it was because of the fight and be was ticked off. He felt like there was some whistles that went the other way. He got mauled in the face by Collins on the one dunk that he put up. There was no foul that was called so. That's where you get in playoff series that go like this. You get some fights and things like that. I love it. It's one of the reasons why I love the NBA playoffs. Let's go to, um Go to Josh. Josh is calling from Atlanta, Georgia. Josh on CBS Sports Radio. What's up? Hey, enjoying the show, fellas? I appreciate it. Thank you, you know? Hey, listen, 35,000 for MB. That's pocket change. That's changed floating around in the back seat of his car. I mean, you know, not even that big of a deal. You know my whole my whole thing with this series is, you know, I think that the 70 Sixers You got two players. That probably are two of your, you know, kind of two of your whatever you would call the big three, right? Um, but but, Trey, you know the thing that intrigued me about this is that while you guys might have while the 70 Sixers might have, um, you know, a couple of players that can dominate the floor. The Hawks just seemed like more of a fluid basketball team and in and if you can't stop trade from getting into the lane and then dishing it out on the baseline or to the wing. The Hawks have to hit shots and if we can hear shots Will win will win the game, you know, but it seems like Philadelphia is more of a one on one matchup, not as fluid not moving the ball around as much. Hey, listen, I think it's going to be a great game tonight as a Hawks fan as long struggling Atlanta sports fan. I've been through it all. Dude. You know the Falcons, the Georgia Bulldogs. And the Hawks, you know, even back in the Celtics, and you know, we should have. We had the better team than I thought, but burden and beat us. Um, I'm hoping Philadelphia eat a bunch of crow tonight. But I'm looking forward to the game, man. I appreciate you taking my call. Happy Father's day. Thank you. I I actually like those those Hawks teams of the eighties. Dominique and James Willis, Randy Wittman. Doc Rivers was on some of those teams mo cheeks for a little bit of time after six years traded him there. I love Dominique. John contractor John Contact is on those teams the old Omni where they would have, like the harp sound when you hit the foul shot. Yeah. Yeah. Hawks haven't had a ton of success. They had the He had the I guess. I guess they did. They make the conference finals back in that year where they had they were the number one seed. They lost in the second round. They lost. I think Brown beat him. But not a lot of success for the Hawks. This is a This is a team to be excited about. If you're Atlanta Hawks fan it is try Young is the real deal. Love the kids love them love his personality. Love the Energy he brings on the court love them. They just gotta they gotta they gotta build around them. They gotta get players that can play around them. But to Josh's point, the sixes are really good when they're front running right When that they're feeling good. They have confidence. That's when they're at their best. The minute it turns they get tight. And the Hawks have shown that they can be down by almost 30 points and come back and win six years. I actually felt better about the Sixers in Game six when they were down early, as opposed to leading early Because they had blown on consecutive nights. 18 and 26 Point leads consecutive games. It's gotta George in Atlanta George you're on CBS Sports radio. What's up? Yeah. What's up, man? Listen, I've got to echo my my previous caller here, fellow Atlanta fan to me. Here's Here's the thing. Um Where we've proven that were the more mentally tough team. And in a game seven that matters. I think we can win. Um I don't know that we will. Um, but hopefully Trae Young is opening a lot of eyes around the league. Um and, yeah, I think we're in overall. More complete team. And if we can just make our shots right, because we've been getting open shots consistently, I think will win. But more importantly than this, I think even more important than whether or not we advance Um, is I think this is finally that point where We've got the player, the organization and the situation to attract. That second star. That we've basically never been able to attract in Atlanta unless we drafted him like we did with Nick. Okay. Um, tray is not only a star in his own right if he can get guys like hurt her and Gallinari, Uh and and Bogie consistently open. There's a number two guy on another team that's saying you know what I can be the straw that stirs the drink and take them over the top. And I think if not this coming offseason next season, we're going to have that guy. And then watch out because tree is literally he's 5 10 and he's 22 years old. And he's doing this Can't nobody you got to all NBA defensive guys, and nobody's stopping him. So that's all I got to say. I appreciate it. It's amazing Bogdanovich. I know he was hurt. It's spring, his knee, I guess in game in Game five, but he he he has. He hasn't necessarily played well. Scoring some points over the course of a series but lot of shots to do that, not saying it's not shooting at a high percentage 8552 to 4, CBS 855 to 1 to 4 to 27 Next segment. Going to talk a little bit about Cole, Beasley and the issues the NFL is going to have with players that don't want to get vaccinated. Also, Mark Cuban has picked a former professional gambler over his head coach and GM. Very interesting situation That's coming up next for the latest CBS Sports Radio update. Here's Pete McCarthy. So the seasons changing and i can feel a sense of changing and It's nice hearing the birds chirping and seeing some new flowers blossom and Just noticing the weather changing so on that front. "And take meaningful action. I hope you'll the shire how lar- i hope that your well out there. And i hope that whatever's happening in your life at the moment you know whatever obstacles you're facing and whatever experiences that you're having i really hope that y'all finding a way to navigate them with a sense of meaning and truth. Today's episode is going to be around that fame actually and the idea of meaningful action the allies. He's really one of the co pillars of this. Podcast this thing that i'm putting together and of my life. It's scenario that. I i want to explore as deeply as possible and i'm so grateful that you've come along on that ride in that journey of exploration and discovery so today's episode iran meaning is really going to be around this idea of the psyche as the saul and finding a way to drop into that space of listening to what else saul is calling out and then transitioning to a to a phase. I guess of meaningful action. I'm going to be speaking. To dr james willis who is a jungian analyst. And we're going to touch on some themes that kalayaan were was exploring during he's beautiful body of wack and some of those themes include. The idea is synchrony city the idea of dreams allowing us to in a sense really drawer link between the intra psychic space. And what we feel is how regular reality were also going to be talking about shadow work and how to integrate the different parts of your being maybe the daca sides into the full spectrum of your of your existence to become a more full and hull and fulfilled being all up human. We're also going to be talking about The idea of of self and octaves in the collective unconscious we're touching on those elements but the main main core driver of this of this episode of the intention behind it. He's really to get you to pause for a moment and take a breath and really really just consider you know what is meaningful to you in your life and To recognize opportunities for change recognize opportunities to head towards something. Maybe that that may be more meaningful than the path that you've currently being trotting on so before we begin. I'd like to invite you to have a couple of deep breaths with me in through the nose and then using the diaphragm expanding and allowing the smooth runway of ed's kind of gliding through nostrils and then holding kind of a moment somewhere on your forehead allowing yourself to release justice slowly and smoothly and drop into a space with me. Yes so we can really kind of launch and getting to it..

"Bang out for about 2.5 yards, job and random full back up inside. There were in an old fashioned straight power T on bang it out to maybe the three yard line. Damon Ward, a young linebacker, one of the men that hit him there, so jammed in that pile, hard to see where they finally put it down, put it on the two yard line. It'll be second down on the 27 and nothing. George and Auburn just stopped him on about the eight inch mark. Dogs actually had it on the plate before. George in a five man front or burning the one back set with two wideouts. White is underneath second down on his own two and he gives it to Bostic and we hit him. Many fell upon around the four and got two more. Harm in trying to get it out of a bad hole. Casey Barnum hit him on. So did Maurice perilous Substitute linebacker sophomore Armand's gonna be third down on their own 47 and nothing Georgia on worth the six minute mark. Here in the second quarter, Dogs got stopped insist from the goal line. Again. Notre Dame is 9 to 6 on Penn State in the fourth quarter. I don't have that final harbor now's and kind of more of a spread there in a shotgun white going to run back in the end zone. One man chasing him white Gonna throw long and deliberately out of bounds over behind our bench. Georgia hollering that it should be deliberate grounding. Mitch Davis chased him deep back in the end zone and our friend's gonna be fourth down on their own four yard line, and they'll have to punt it away. I keep trying to check some scores in cases anything big going on Auburn fourth down on the four Osborne's partner, Terry Daniela's Come in. They're trailing seven to nothing, but they held inches from the outside. George has got 10 men on the line over in one blocker up in front of the kicker. Snap is okay and the kick is a good spiral. Looking at the sun Hastings dropped it on his 48 pick it up on his 43 broke away from one man with the same men that got him on the 44. He looked in the sun and dropped the ball, but luckily went back to pick it up. The ball doesn't bounce much, and that's soft. What grass and the bounce came up to his knees and he's knocked down on the 44 that son hurt him. That was a great kick by the way from back in the end zone 50 yards George on her own 44 1st town, getting a little late in the second quarter's iron or Hurst trying to cut back in the defense of stops and dead. They couldn't block James Willis at linebacker again. One of the key man coming and another linebacker, was there. We tried to run Hearst, who steps that right guard and then cuts to the left. The man on the left is where the whole supposed to be didn't work lost the yard, Second in 11, 7 and up in Georgia. And we just got stopped about seven inches outside the Auburn goal on on fourth down. Dogs have sire looking at the defense won back his Hearst Gyre. Gonna take run a track with Hearst. He's coming to the line quickly and went to the 50. He stumbled on that wet, muddy grass but still got out and got six yards. Cunningham hit him the linebacker. On disordered Damon Luster a defensive end ball just barely across the 50. And it's gonna be third down now and about for a short 4, 3.5 7 and nothing. Georgia 4 29 o'clock and I have often just made a goal line stand inches out in front of the goal line. The dogs now we're sitting out there on the 50 in our third down look like a wing t the way they're spread to the right now, Sire, Fake rolls, Right? And now it looks any fires that Hasting it may have been intercepted on the 35. They took it out of Hastings Sands. Yes. And then they all went out of bounds. Hastings to the right double coverage on him, and they grabbed it Interception. Chris Shelling, I believe was the man that intercepted a sophomore strong safety and they put it on the 34. So it'll be first down there for Auburn on the 34 a half Hastings almost had his hands on that ball, ill advised. Pass the Larry double coverage. Eric really telegraphed that is he rolled right. He was on Lee having eyes for Andre and it shows. Auburn's bone our own 34 looking white fires complete and we hit him up from the 46 1st down. I believe Thomas Bailey jumping high and white hit him with about a 12 13 yarder. Barbara trying to come down the field late in the half and tired of Chris Wilson. The little corner hit him seven to nothing. Georgia Borough one to go on a half glass play was almost 14 yards it once our burn up to the line trying to drive late in the half inch. I it up. Dogs are now in the five to White underneath the one back sets, and he's gonna give it to her man. The dogs hit him on the 50. Or just shy. Are Brodsky running back trying to cut back inside. He came in for Bostic leaned in and got only a yard, they say to the 49 2nd and nine George, you're gonna make a change in the secondary and run pleasure in Andre will take another man out. Marie Sarah linebacker out over this second and nine on their own 49 3.5 minutes or less to go on the half seven and nothing. Georgia Dogs in the 43 auburn at midfield. Stand white, the quarterback dropping back. We're trying to chase him back there. He sprints to the left, and we knock him out. And he didn't quite get to the line. He lost the art of the 48. Randall Godfrey, the linebacker, rein him out. He was the first man Damon Ward was coming over there too. So was Barnum on? They will market I believe in the 48. Put it on the 47. A half over now is going to be third down back just outside the 47 the yard marker across the way. The official can't see the ball. He's got it up across the 48 arm in his third down in about 11. Shotgun back to stand white. He's back to pass. He pumps way chase him. He fires the Boston one man, Mr Behind the line 10 20 yards of the 40 to 35 down to the 30 all the way to the dogs. 22 plastic broke a couple of tackles Mike Jones, a strong safety head, save a touchdown on that point. Whoa! Was worth about 30 yards to the Georgia 22. A first down block is to 57 are burned down here Close. Bostic made a fine move. Wallace, the big tackle, almost gotten white bar burned up to the line there behind seven. Nothing. Now they are in a single by accepting that got trips out wide to the left. Georgia has five men on the line to go to Boston. He tried to cut in. Barnum grabbed him, though he was being blocked in the 19. And then the linebackers helped him country came up in there to help him and so did great Jackson, the defensive end. They moving back to the 20. The game was to second down Barbara's seven points behind, but they're on the Georgia 20 on second down, and the clock is running a little over two minutes to go here in the half. They held Georgian western of foot from the goal line a few minutes ago. Seven or nothing. Georgia Auburn on the Georgia 21st time they've knocked on the door all day were up almost in a six. Armor is a shotgun. Bostic is back there with Stan White on second down the snappiest the white white gonna throw along down in.

"Punts will move ahead late in the first quarter. The Bulldogs D is facing a tiger's third down shotgun again. White in trouble. Jones grabbed him from behind and pulled him down around the 12. He just came in. He came off a blocker. And tripped him from behind an Auburn lost about four yards. Travis Jones, the one I just called a little line maker, got him from behind where a blocker had him. He lost. Five yards to the 11, and it's fourth down Auburn on Terry Daniel. They're soft, more punter is in Auburn looking right into the sun to want to go now, less than that in the quarter seven Nothing Georgia Auburn, his fourth down and about 18.5 on the snap is good, and the kick is good, long kid. Hastings backs up way back to the 40 runs by one guy, and then another 45 flag down 47 or eight out of bounds. Got a penalty coming? I believe Hastings turned it into about a nine or 10 yard return. The second wave of men should have had him on the 45 catch that friendly call. Now we might have an offensive block situation. Illegal blocker. Hold or what? Have you seven and up in Georgia with a minute and 40 to go? Yeah, we got on the illegal block on Georgia. Coming repeating Florida rallied and beach, South Carolina fallen kind of hard today. 14 tonight. Michigan rally to get a tie with Illinois 22 22 that kind of changes the national rankings a little bit. I don't think that does anything to the Rose Bowl. Nobody thought about a time penalty back to the 38 George will be first down their dogs with seven point lead. First and Harvey are the backs fairly late in the first quarter. Shadows are getting long down on that end of the stadium. They've come out about eight or 10 yards. Dogs put two men out. Under and Thomas are the wideouts backs her and and I first down. Sire underneath, sire. Going to go to Hearst. A man broke in and hit him behind the line. He never got to the whole of tackle. James Willis, the middle linebacker, got him behind the line and dropped in three arts back on the 35. It's gonna be second down and about 13 0. They say only two yards to the 36 2nd and 12 Lord Larry. It's hard to say unless you're down here on the field, but when our receivers moving to your left look back, that son is pretty brutal. So that makes it tough phone fast in game, But that son will soon be down behind the rim of the stadium dog shift their backs a little there, in a pro set the backs of split the White House split. Dire fakes. The Harvey comes back looks wants to run and got sacked a blocker Woz fighting off Attackers. He started to go down himself. I think on that loose turf on a 32 yard line, Chuckie Johnson, credited with the tackle. Big tackler was fighting a blocker and there is a loss on that play have about six yards, so it's going to be there, down down about 16 or so to go. Closing seconds of the first quarter. Georgia leads seven to nothing and Auburn's defense is tough, but when they fumbled on our 49, we took it in 51 yards. Auburn's in the foreword to shotgun, go desire. Take a trap, Sire rolls to the right. Dire passing incomplete upon the 43 the receiver. Hastings was trying to lie down and catch. It couldn't do it. Auburn stop the dogs again going to make him fun again. Way drove it The first time we touch that ball today, way have not driven since then scarred Armstrong, this time will be kicking from deeper back. In his own side in the field on 4th and 16. Auburn's Thomas Bailey is a single receiver on the Auburn 30. Got Armstrong with a lot of time high long kit. Hi, Great kid. Fair catch taken around the 25. Scott got his foot in that ball very, very well. 38 roughly 45 yards, and then that's the end of the quarter. "To you by George your power. Georgia and Auburn, and the deep sounds longest running rivalry. It's almost 100 years just about as long as these two teams have been playing football, they have been playing one another. We are live from Jordan here Stadium here in Auburn right at the 30 yard line. On a perfect day for football, I think Lauren down below may have coached bat dive Offered way. Do have Coach Die with us. Patchy 15 Ball games. Two games allowed to win those two games, and you had a very respectable year. How much of Motivating factor. Is that for your team? Well, I don't think it's any doubt about you know these two biggest games a year every year force Lauren and on and we've got a disappointing times as he had, that's for sure. But you know if we want to Georgia and Alabama game in Baldwin, baby would think is a great year. Not me, necessarily. But you want to win it all that Oh, under the circumstances. A win here today would be very big force and, uh, you know, I think it'll be a great football game. I don't think we're talented Georges, and we're certainly a young football team and a lot of areas and were hurt. Today. We're crippled up, but I expect our guest to play and go play is good. The clave waiting eliminate some of the mistakes for you will you will be in this one's about to get underway. Auburn is on the field. The dogs have just huddled up. They're about to take the field and kick off. And here with the play by play story once again is the voice of the Georgia Bulldogs. Larry Munson. All right, and get the picture now, Auburn in that very dark navy blue with white helmets, white pants, white numbers, those stripe of orange down the side and the dogs on the road, all in white. With right How much black German silver pants. Al Wise is 50 years old this weekend for 20 years he shot every Georgia football game. Or the bench Doing show. Robert Kushner is 33 years old. Today another wild eyed fan Georgia getting ready to kick off with the sun on their back. If there is a wind, it's swirling a little hard to go by the flags. The expected bitter cold front is not here today, Son Brighton High and warm. Harbor now has got Thomas Bailey a soft, more as the deepest man on the dog's getting ready to kick off. Peterson's gonna hit it wrong. Good kick. On down to about 2.5 on breaking out to the 19 or 20 Yard line is Alex Smith. He's hit around the 23 or 24 Alex Smith, a senior hit on the 23. It'll be first down there. All right. That's Auburn's ball they reach for their sixth win of the year. Today, Dogs reach for number eight on in That process are also reaching for a so called major bowl bit. Auburn huddling Now the Tigers are up to the line on the Tigers have immediately gone into a shotgun stand. White is standing back five or six yards. They snap up to white on first down and he's looking he pumps once and then he throws a long bomb, and there he is, and he missed him. Mr Man on our 31 yard line. Thomas really streaking wide open. Frank Sanders, not Bailey. Frank Sanders was the man opened down that left side. They went to a shotgun on the first play and went deep on missed him, and he had a step and a half lead. It'll be second in 10 O'Brien. They almost got seven right away, Boy that looked a little bit like the Florida bomb. Didn't it look like they have been watching those tapes? Auburn three White House here in the one bank set now and they quickly hand off to the tail in Boston. Cut inside and up, maybe four, close before and left guard. It should be third and six. When the unpiloted around the 27 a half Charlie Clemons hit him. Mitch Davis hit him. Auburn down there on their own 27. A half Your Larry England tells me Michigan and Illinois tied right at the end. 22 2 22, Michigan had to kick a field goal to save themselves today, Barber in third and six on the 27 a half in their own territory. White back in trouble racing of the right racist forward Fire team got 15 slides down to a first down. 41 Greg Trimble was coming up. So white came out and got about 13 yards. Came off to the right under pressure by the dogs and suddenly ran straight ahead. And our friends got a first down on the 41. Florida had a struggle. Today they trailed three to nothing. For a long time. They finally won by 5.714 and nine. That one is a final. Auburn up to the line. The backs have gone into an eye white underneath. They have three wideouts dogs in the four man front costs we busted coming out 44 45 pushing in the 45 a half 4.5 yards. He had one blocker still in front of him. When he got to the 44 Godfrey hit him and Clemenza Adam the busy linebackers, and they've been pretty busy all year. Harbor now is second and six. We just started in the first quarter of the sun is great. And it's right in Auburn space at this moment. Auburn now splits one man. Way out left in one short right there in the one back set with James Bostic again and white underneath dogs. Aaron a five go to Boston. That's bank. There's a hole and he drives close to the dogs. 46 1st down watch. He was fumbling as he hit the ground, and it is gorgeous ball. They took a couple of seconds. But the dog's got the ball is Bostic coughed it up here tremble hitting on Mitch Davis came up big Crane says. Great tremble. One of the safety man hit him and Mitch Davis, the outside linebacker, fell on it and or burn is turned it over on the 49 Mike Jones. Also the other safety was on the bottom of that vile George's recovered a turnover on the 49 dogs off shift the backs a little Auburn. Jenna 43 Zire Underneath are burning ground on a couple of first down, stumble Car Sweet Hearst five, tripping and falling as you went down on the auburn 45. He got 5.5. Red spent the corner coming up. Hurst looked like he was gonna have room Morris. He leaned in toward the middle of the field, but went down. You can see how the field is being torn up by the early heavy rains of early this week. They're already having chunks of turf Come off the bottom of the tweets first got six, second down and four slot with Bohannon and Hastings off to the right. The backs again are off shifted desire going to fake. It rolled to the right pass complete to the 35. He's hit right there. It's the first town Brian Bohannon hooking back. And dire hit him for about 11 yards on it will be a first down and they're only offering 35 offering coughed it up. But midfield player this field was in excellent shape. When it started but still damp. You mentioned there were heavy rains here. The grounds crew did a great job. That turf will give underway today charged with the first down on the Auburn 35 slot. Harvey shifts now and comes back up in front of Hearst. They go back to her Somebody blitz. They hit him behind the line. He lost the R. James Willis, a linebacker junior out of Huntsville, Alabama, was the first man in the hit him. They put it right back on the line instead of giving him the art loss where they knocked him down. Its 2nd 10 were nothing. Nothing early, are but immediately banged it out three or four quick place of the Georgia 49, but dropped it on that last place across midfield and the dogs Now we're down on the auburn 35 2nd at Harvard in the 43, sire underneath. They're blitzing on him, Sire. Dumps the Hastings complete. They hit him right there. No gain in the 35. Hastings started of the life turn cut right back across the line of scrimmage and are burned, read the play, and there's no gain on the completion. And it's 3rd and 10, Harvard and George and nothing. Nothing early. Auburn fans trying to come up and really roar on this one. They want the defense except the dogs off here. George in white are burning the dark blue dogs split two men out and go to a shotgun. That's the way offering started the game, foreman. Run fake Trent desire to the left throws on the run and his complete falling down to Hastings on the 22. He was wide open. He hit him for 13 yards and a first down Hastings look back wide open and fell. I start to say on the wet turn. It's not that wet, but it's chopping up. I'll tell you. He faked Calvin Jackson out of his shoes, though he made a great hook back is cut. Just fake him right out of the frame. Cut back for the football entire delivered it. Swan over the ball, Georgia first down on the offering. 22 with a very big third down play. Now they're in..

I'm gonna lead you off with this James T. it's a it's a stark difference that we're seeing and how states across the nation are handling the code of nineteen outbreak and it seems to go fall right in line to blue states versus red states it seems there are you seeing the difference in in in between states James Willis James C. now with this it is a good point though it's a good point they being calling maybe you can reach out to him he's he is a it but I I think that one of the biggest ones recede differences to our neighbors in the west in California California is governor Newsom is just locked it down and they went on lockdown last the last one what was it last Thursday I think they went down yet last Thursday the governor just called a halt to the state essentially not all nonessential businesses closing down no gatherings shelter at home sheltered home was there nice way of saying basically quarantine so the shelter at home and it was just a panic and it was just it was a quick freak out where we have our governor governor Doug Ducey taking a very measured approach to this using business leaders and medical professionals from around the state to help guide him in this and how to do this basically I remember Dennis Miller used the term a long time ago he said he surrounds himself with greatness like a whole surrounds itself with the dominant hand I just stuck with me because that makes sense I get my head around that as as someone like me who runs businesses who got into an industry and a a just grabbed a hold I needed to surround myself with people that were they could guide me people that that could that I could lean on people that I could just check my ego at the door with and say Hey you know what we have I don't know everything and we have a job to do we have a business to run and I can't do it all on mice on my own and that's the way the governor is taking this the governors is approaching this and I and I applaud him for because if you go to New York New York is is their banking they they're just chomping at the bit to close the entire thing down and shut it down to a standstill so they can blame Donald Trump bill de Blasio is coming absolutely unhinged taking no action at all and just blaming the trump administration it just blaming the trump that's all that's all he's doing and so that is that that's what the difference is that we can find and we're not seeing a lot of the the Midwest states unless a blue state like Illinois completely freaking out and I wanted to know from you James see if you were seeing the same difference in in how the red states are handling this to how the blue states are handling yeah ruby retreats are trying to not hold government on business try to get some real trying to not kill the economy in blue states are freaking out and shutting everything down and you know I have friends who are in the business in blue states and they're going apoplectic because of their stay is not as hit as hard as some of the states like New York and California a yes they're taking the overall exercises of the caution and shutting everything down and putting people in place and it's absolutely absurd and there is a candy rule a red state blue state response and I got also tell you Mike Russ I love the fact that president trump is being up there with all of this deep blue state of mayors blue state governors want him to get off the Victoria they want him to become the first to impose martial law or whatever but the ref the governor of the say no you know what we understand what's going on as far as personal freedom and businesses that we're we're concerned about the virus but not to the extent that were going to absolutely destroy our economy is a sunny Jim sea hares they that was what they were calling trump a dictator they they call them a dictator for the first three years the cable news media it every chance they could the talking at the pundits what I'll call him a dictator and now they want him to be one now it seems that they're just begging him to be one it's amazing I heard you play a little bit of buildup Lazio mayor of New York City last week you saw that somewhat reasonable he said he was that close the school you know it because the book over here but if you do later not only did he close school but he wanted a cheerleader I'm talking about the president needs to take extraordinary powers and mobilize the military and do X. Y. Z. one two three complaining about all the stuff he doesn't have in the city where ever made here he did not organize the request the thing we're watching true is very on the by the left if it is a blue state red state is a very real thing and it's a very keen upgrades yeah it is in in you know that's kind of unfortunately we're at you're seeing the difference in governing and that really gives really us as voters a distinct choice in which way we want to go come November Dennis I mean one of the underlying causes a silver lining of this right is is you're really seeing quality of leadership I mean it's exploding I love the fact that Joe Biden going on after president trump the the presser he goes on to try to mimic president say what he would do and in doing so really exploded now these people are weak at L. now I have to say this because I just saw this I want your opinion on what you do in real time the World Health Organization who is saying that China has been a model for transparency we.

anymore I'm I want to see him gone I want to see that you're gone and I I'll be honest with you Jody I don't see Gelman there you what you want you know what if you will trust me as being a giants fan since nineteen seventy two go get me cloudy okay go out and sign cloudy and put the money there you got a lot of cap to play with I'm sick of seeing bad defense a by the way Greta van fleet very talented young band you should get double check about I'm going to do just that yeah but what what's okay here's my feeling who's out there not only free agency besides cloudy but who's in the draft okay if they need to take an edge guy next year Joe do you like in the drugs you know I I respect your your draft picks a lot of times as far as your knowledge of college players coming out giant you know unfortunately they're not going to get the kid from Ohio state because they did win a couple again toward the end of this season I could add as high as the second pick in the draft but they did beat the Redskins which means the Redskins going to grapple foreman a needed a guy so my guess is he's going to go there the kid Timmons from Clemson is probably for me the second best edge rusher in the draft and that's the guy I would target if I with the giants and I think they're gonna be high enough that they should be able to get their right hands on him the kid Lewis from Alabama is pretty damn good too depends on whether you're going to go three four point three years you said they're they're probably going to make a total change I I don't think that and Patcham is going to be able to survive I don't know if you read did you read the article in the post yesterday by James Willis I know what you say he said that what he's hearing and he wouldn't name names but there could be a split between the co owners of the New York Giants right marrow might be willing to go one more year which armoring give him a chance whereas all teams raise kids shoes the more removed owner lives out in Hollywood but certainly is that most giant games and deals with a different group of pressures I did he is pretty disappointed in the season a adding going over October and November and is looking for changes that lead to coal owners of the giants are going to have to work it out first as to whether the coaches back or not even if Germans back I'm with you I think back there is in trouble hi DJ defense was just not good enough to each year and the if if he is back then there's probably gonna be changes on the coaching staff and I think back to is going to go in and it depends on who you hire if they're gonna go three four four three you can't bring Schirmer back I mean you just can't bring back with the guys knowing in twenty three the look on my sis play with the best talent we bundle Jody it's his decision every time is what the scene thrown second five okay can you run the damn ball you got a guy with sickle broadly we went ten plentiful weapons so we're just going to forget about the running in the breaks up of one for sixty eight yards with the running game things away after awhile use the nations of the same he's boring is a bad cold which I mean you look at is what you're looking at all the head coach between Cleveland the giants again women I do three to learn what I do three a third in the fifth pick we're gonna you don't even know is going to be there next year he was never good with a job to begin with so you really have confidence we're going to need about John Mayer the one if you would think should do Jody actually like they did in nineteen seventy nine when I was a kid in the book tour Jon in the NFL said we're going to we're going to take the ownership and we're gonna bring in our own guy and I want to know also your opinion on Matt rule out thank you for your time and again happy new year Joe to you got it is Matt rule the head coach Baylor former coach to temple did a real good job the here is going to be mentioned as a candidate in the NFL is season here's the reason why Matt rule I think is probably going to get a job somewhere this offseason there are three major guys former college coaches that I think are going to be heavily talked about what is linkedin Riley in Oklahoma the other is urban Meyer formally you know where he's coached and now analyst for Fox the Baylor coach I don't know did Lincoln Riley is going to walk away from Oklahoma just yet I it's going to have to be the perfect job and they're gonna have to pay them old also blocks because Oklahoma's paid a big box and you are in charge of everything when you're a college coach where as you have a general manager you have an owner you got to deal with I don't know if he's gonna jump and the same thing with urban Meyer it's going to have to be the perfect job with a big fat paycheck attached if you were going to rule urban Meyer out of quote unquote retirement well he's been retired before so you can do it again I'm tell you it's possible but it may be tricky and or difficult Matt rules probably the next best collegiate candidate so if the two big guys don't see a job to their liking your situation dare liking and that rule is ready to jump to the pros he's going to jump to the top of a bunch of lists and the giants and the cowboys in a red skins and all but dean and I have openings to remain the same debate you're the only one who's sitting pretty at division the dog breeds that he knows he's going nowhere fast but all three of the other jobs may very well be opened in Matt rule could lame did any of those three jobs grants from New York sent by CBS sports radio a Chris what's going on I used to talk to in Dolly essay as much because you on here so you got it okay so apologize our address the cornerback models I was very like what people think he's like a lock down for back in the study there has been really horrible this year so I'll go after him I wouldn't touch Clowney you know Carly gets her law he sometimes he disappears in games S. although arsenal come back to a house they I don't know what you're going to get a free agency charged defense well I don't want the office once in Georgia I know he's really good glass tackle but there are many more positions are you really do need a cell and out I was one of my one and only to be great staff my house from George R. off you know him so well if tackle like I'll go with that now we're going over the corner of my house stayed at the price has your were you gonna but as far as the head coach maybe McCarthy I don't know if he has like when he walked in with a lot of bad things about him past you know year are off to go with him algal mat will all I don't know chance and McCarty you'll get an interview I was so hoping that McCarty landed with the jets so for me now turn around and go now you don't really want McCarty's a coach with the giants over it McCarty didn't do anything wrong this past year let's put it that way sitting on the sidelines didn't hurt him is resumes still is resume I still think he's a heck of an offense of coach so well that that would not be the worst thing in the world if that's the way went for the giants I will say this their bunch of good corners in its upcoming draft but if I'm going with a secondary player in the giants need to redo their secondary safety included grant don't pick from LA she was the best secondary player in the draft above any of the corners I know corners are more important but in this pass happy NFL safety sample cover too you can drop a guy down and covered eighty percent of.

"AP sixty eight six eight three news talk eight twenty. Never knew on us. This land is your land. This land is my land California land Redwood. The Gulf stream waters. This land was made. Yes, it was. But of course, you, and I have different ideas as to why we should do with that land. Woody. He got three one eight six six five zero JIMBO our number one eight six six five zero five four six two six. The president is uncharacteristically saying that much of his state of the union address Tuesday night will be emphasizing unity. Well, we will see his efforts in that regard jobs drizzle being conciliatory have been slapped down by Democrats more off the lot of late. So we'll see what he says to the moment. Suffice it to say that Carol calls in from Fredonia Kentucky. Hello, carol. And what's on your mind tonight? Well, you'd asked what I'm sorry. I've got a cold and can't hardly talk. You'd ask what I wanted to hear President Trump sites. In the best of all possible worlds. What I want to hear you say. But that's not gonna happen. I would like him to say in a new dress up for him to remember that. He is the president Americans not just kicked dice and in doing that he needs to remember the thirsty for concerns. And he needs to listen to what the American people have said. Well, what some of the American people have said anytime, we referred to quote, the American people that's pretty much a red flag because there are very many things on which the American people agree. So he should listen to some of the American people have to say, okay. He needs to listen to a variety of sources. He's an echo chamber. He's an echo chamber. And he only listens to what he wants to hear. What exactly do you think that he is ignoring for example, I'm issue of border security? I would assume that well, maybe not. But I would assume that you are in favor of determining who enters the country or are you not now? Yeah. Now, I think we need border security. I don't think we need it in the form of a wall. What should it be since you brought it up? I'm really curious as I said before I don't care what we call it as long as it works. We call it. A wall defense. I even suggested calling the friendly fuzzy journey inhibitors. It's Nancy Pelosi is so hung up on the w word. I don't care what we call it. We're not trying to make the cover of better walls and gardens for Pete's sake. I just want something that works and it to me this is the most artificial debate imaginable. A wall is immoral as as Pelosi says, I mean, really, well, the catch to his is that we know for a fact if you go back in history wanted to work they've always worked. Are you kidding me? We did a whole hour at the other night. They they're not one hundred percent effective Carol, but they they are very effective in stopping people. You have to undergo major efforts to get over under around or through a wall. They are extremely effective. They're always affected in every single instance, China keeping biters out pardon. The certainly they know they didn't know. You're missing my point walls tend to be effective the idea that somehow people just automatically become superman and leap over walls or punch their way. Through them is ludicrous. Carol. But again, I guess we're just having a microcosm of the same undebated that is happening all across the country. Suffice it to say, yes, they are very effective far more effective than they are ineffective, and they're far more effective than just simply putting up only. Electronic gadgets was no means of impeding people to come across that would enable us to effectively count the people who invade the country again, I guess I had expected more and I'm not sure why Michael in Tallahassee Florida. Good evening. Good evening. Jim Bo just before we get to my point. I just wanna have some breaking news, President Trump was at a social event this evening, and he met Robert Mueller. And he said he was he was very glad to meet him again. And Robert Mueller said that he was charging them with perjury. Great break Levin point, the state of the union. It's really the state of the Republic. It's really horrible. What's happened to our country? I don't think that people reflect upon that you think we a quote banana Republic in what way. Yes, if what way nobody follows law. You know, President Obama did DACA. Nobody tried to stop them really effectively, the congress the Republican House and Senate didn't do anything the the CIA NSA FBI the Justice department. We're trying to oust the president. Well, hardly hardly true to say that the entire CIA FBI in its they are engaged in a vast coup. The try outs the president. I think we should quite get too far overboard here tonight to James in scottsbluff, Nebraska. Good evening, James Willis, Janet. But that's okay. Mr. Bannon, it is Janet I stand duly corrected. It is jammed go, right? And I think that President Trump should give an exact headcount of all of the murders rapes robberies, the drug overdoses that have all been caused by illegal aliens and focus on that. And as far as him dividing the country. No Obama did that Trump is trying to unite the country and. Could I ask you a question? Sure. Why does the government have to shut down for this border wall? Because there was disagreement over the issue of of funding of the border wall. And the only leverage that the the president saw that he had was to not sign this continuing resolution without a certain amount of money for that wall, or whatever we want to call it. Right, right. I mean, the amount of money as I've noted before the amount of money. The difference is is chump change to the feds. The Democrats at one point offered one point three billion the president wanted five point seven billion. That's nothing as I said before this is not literally true. But that's the Pentagon paper clip budget. It's never been about money and even the five point seven billion wouldn't have paid for complete border security all the way from Brownsville Texas to San Diego. But it's just been issue of who's who's going to call the shots, and whether or not a wall is immoral as well. And Clinton they all wanted the wall back in. Oh, yes. They did. Yes. They suddenly had a complete change of heart. That's true. We've all heard the news clips of of all of those people back in the day when they recognize that we needed a border wall. But that was back with others were calling for border while if Donald Trump wants it as I said before if the president came out in opposition to cancer, there would be some Democrats somewhere who would endorse cancer. All right. More to come one eight six six five zero JIMBO. What would you like to hear the president say in his state.
