"I'm joined by Lucy Russell Hughes as we take a brief look back on the weekend. What a, what an amazing weekend's racing, Lucy. Oh, Saturday. Wow. Incredible stuff. I see something a little bit of sarcasm there from UM. But yeah, as Saturday's going. Probably not up there with the most sparkling of Saturdays that we've had recently, would it? No, one of the good things I like about the flat and I genuinely mean this is that every weekend it's like each weekend is just class. The weekend just gone, not so much. Unless, of course, you backed Mark Milligan's tip, chateau, 9 to two with kaluki into two to one favorite and wins the two year old trophy condition stakes at Beverly. He also had four play sources as well. So take boo, so that's not easy. Lot of people. It's tough out there. Tough out there on them tipping streets. Tough out there. Fair play to the final front of podcast army for getting me on the orders as well. Massive gamble on chateau. Let's not mention the other horse who is back from 7 to one to 94 favors and fell at the back of the telly. Anyway, what did you make of chateau's performance? Yeah, good, wasn't it? He got stuck in a bit of a pocket, didn't he in the in the race and I was thinking he all know William buch is going to have similar circumstances to how this horse ran on debut because he got a bit stuck in amongst the pack then, but yeah, this horse is made up a lot of ground, big, big, real big son of Havana gold and yet very good performance. It looks as though he's going to head through our last spot now and you'd like to think that the Windsor Castle over 5 furlongs would be his target of course last year's winner chipotle also side by Havana gold. So that's a really good strong point. Yeah, so this horse trained by Andrew balding. Yeah, really long stride, as I said for a sprinter, not often you see sprinters that are built like that, quite tall and leggy, but yeah, my goodness is what I really really strong tell afoot. And I think the sort of impression I got from the people on race and TV were that this horse is very straightforward. He was very relaxed in the prelims and just an overall good performance. Yeah, I think one of the telling points about this and it was mentioned by Mark in the build up is Andrew balding pitching chateau into this race as opposed to just finding a regular old maiden maiden race. Pitching him in against whistle and flute, who has ultimately disappointed horribly, but had said a very good senator going into the race. But crucially, Andrew balding had a very good line on that horse through bakil. And oshin Murphy, who will be back on the final fallen podcast to review the Derby and the oaks, by the way. Next week, looking forward to his insight to that. And dissecting the tactics of how the races were one at epsom, so make sure you're listening out for that. He was raving about bakil. And was saying that the balding team thinking of a lot of them. The way this horse won would be the most impressive winner of the weekend, just in the manner of his victory, exactly because he traveled so strongly in the hands of James storm and then he was off the pace, but then he's able to show an incredibly quick turn of foot and this is one of the most progressive horses my flappy has in his stable I thought I remember when this horse won. At the end of last season it not even in a class three and I thought, oh, this horse could probably go on to progress in class twos and class twos, but then he's gone on and yeah, one a list of race on Saturday. So career best performance from this horse. And he's racing off a mark over a 101, which he's been racing off for a couple of times. Recently, so yeah, interesting to see where they go next to him because there's not too many 5 furlong races to group three. You know, or he would need something like the woken, but 6 furlongs probably abstract him. He's a real fight Phil and specialist at all. So I just thought it'd be interesting to see where they go next to him because they are quite limited in that respect. You do with a welcome over 5 furlong, something of that nature. That's in that or something. But that probably won't suit him. I thought that they are, yeah, if they're 5% on specialists and they're probably at that sort of level. I just thought it's not too many options for him. So it would be interesting to see where they go next, but yeah, very, very progressive. Yeah, and what he does is his turn of foot is very impressive over the minimum trip as well. A 100% and I think they were talking about, here's another thing about this. This horse was owned by shadwell. And he's part of the dispersal. Uh oh, we're going to get a phone call now. He's part of the what's officially known Lucy as dispersal. As they shed off a load of horses. And fair play to the horse watchers and make alphabet believe that they managed to get hold of them. He only had two runs from Marcus tregonning. The horse watchers have got some record. The dixons of, I think Matthew Taylor is involved in the ownership of this as well. So well done to everybody. But they've got some record of picking up horses who go on to bigger and better things. And Mick Applebee's got some record of being able to place these horses perfectly. You might have thought that after his defeat at York, is he going to be capable of going here? And that's how the market reacted. He was an 11 to two shot. It was reasonable to support for dragon symbol. Honestly, I thought dragon symbol, I think what we said on this was if he can't be this lot, then he never looked like winning. And what I mean by that is he's traveled into the race really well, but your eye was always drawn to a seal. He was, he had the wind behind the sails. He was always traveling stronger and I think they're looking at the non Thorpe and the abbe with them. But those races are towards the end of the season. You can build towards York of course, but it's what you find in the meantime. And that's a really good point, Lucy. Where do they go? Do you go to royal ascot, and if so, where do you go? So well done to Matthew Taylor and to everybody involved with them, what a fantastic purchase. But these sprinters, they are beating one another.

They're pretty much put in a roster on notice about why they're they're what they're about and everything next thing you know crashing. The scene would be. Og ks matt tavern and mike canales. Yeah two little surprises here That we had got so nice. This was actually pretty nice That pretty much set up a nutter. Tag team match up. So fixers not going anywhere in now was a bit more of a competitive match and everything I'm trying to think who won that. I wanna say oh god. Don't don't fuck quote me right now. Because i was doing a lot of multitasking. I'm not really shocked. Me malati guys. I'm not really sure. Who won that. One because i was doing a whole lot of multitasking. Getting ready to set up the show. And so i was here in the studio doing a lot of stuff. So i'm not gonna lie to you guys About that one. Because i'm really not sure. I would say out of one hundred percent. Though i watched about ninety percent of that match pretty good. i would've loved to have seen post-match though the o. j. k. talking with Cal davis you know about. You know why they were there. What's going on. Maybe that'll play out over the next couple of weeks of nwea power. We'll have to wait and see but for that was worth. I was actually a pretty good pretty good tag match. So nice little setup that we had there for those matches coming up next We had. I think it was was it. Diana's i'm trying to think of jud. I was necks. I kind of feel as though i is that was next to die is was in action against sewer. Naro singles match remember Is was four g. Dioceses in w a national championship title shot assault. Were naro loses. He cannot challenge for the title again for eighteen months. So he's penalized for eighteen months. Great matchup great matchup. I love the fact that the way that saw were nora was booked in may. Obviously this is that underdog dude. You ain't got no chance in hell. I just don't see how the hell you're going to be able to pull this off. But i love the fact that the way this match was set up you know it may saw were narrow look like a legit threat to pull in the upset many times during this because there was damn a fhu. There is a few near falls in this. One for sewer narrow So i liked the way that this was set up in everything and And they did just right. It is just. I looked at. I believe at anytime saul was going to know however at the same time the one thing i did want the most was why can we have saul come out of this looking like. He's really giving a good competitive effort and everything and you know why they did a good job honestly they did a damn good job. I was quite pleased with how this match was leitao Nothing intimidated me or a rattled me as far as the high difference the size. And you know i knew. This wasn't going to be a ninety second squash match. But i saw my expectations. Were low. You forum coming from expectations were low. But i didn't know that the match was going to be as good as it came out. We just look at the match overall. So i would have to say that as far as surprise matches of denied at least as far as part one of by any means necessary. Goes this match for me. Was the most surprising of the night he was. Actually that damn good so is picking up the victory there. I mean again not shocked by died. end result. right there Obviously julius has that has that kind of built in program. they're still with the cowboy james storm. They still got some unresolved Business that they need to take care of. Maybe we'll see all it at come ahead at the hard times event happening on december fourth by eighteen months. Saw naral penalized is what it is back to the line. Maybe a tag team championship run. Maybe that could eventually happen. We'll have to wait and see See what else came about here. I'm just going over the rest of the carter. 'cause they kinda split this card up. I actually am seeing that. There was a total of eight matches for you guys. That might be a little bit curious as a total of eight matches that play when you think about some of what i just told you. A kind of ashley stretches the card out a little bit. Because i literally just gave you guys to bonus matches so when you kind of stop and think about it. Who's actually ten matches if he wanted to get technical but I wanna say the next match-up we got kind of going over to order my head. Forgive me if. I'm a little bit off but i believe the next match-up was actually the heck's hex in action against thunder kitty and tutti len. This was a tag team match up d. Nwea women's tag titles And marty bill. Allison kay of course Retaining picking up the victory with the heck's exclamation points Not surprise right here. Right tag team went over This is pretty good. I got my wish though. I did say i think it was either on last week tower week before had said i hope that. Nwea's not done. We tutti land and we continue to see to d land on a semi regular basis and here tutti. Lynn is now remember earlier had talked about. There's some news. That's attached that. I wanna bring up. It's nwea related and actually ties into this match right here as originally I'm trying to think. I believe.

Km margie bell defend their nwea women's tag titles against kylie ray and tutti. Lynn should be a good matchup. Should a good match up And this is officially the heck sizes first title defense on pay per view since they wanted at empower so should be a good match. He was doing the classic ten punches to the head. And everything referees trying to get him to calm down and get off him and everything and then the action tumbles into oh nice and any action tumbles down into your side of the corner opposite end of the of the ring you know in james storms. The wwe and failed miserably at tna is getting into fantasy wrestling. And i've got a background working in fantasy sports and i've always thought that it's a logical move that you know. I don't know how many people it's not gonna work like fantasy football where people who have been fringe fans or just not even fans suddenly start playing fantasy and they become big fans because there were watching so much more football to see other guys do but it can't hurt and i think it leads to some consistency of viewing. If you are playing this game it you're going to tune in to see how you guys are doing. And so i think it's a good move but it really is all going to be. Let's see how scoring format is because that's where we went wrong. They had hit. If a guide delivers a chair shot. It's a point. And if he does. I mean they just went way too far with the overly complicated and impossible to follow. So i'm curious to see what the scoring format is for this. And i just think it's a logical move i'm surprised. Because it'll look ridiculous if you have somebody on your fantasy team. You know like there needs to it might create a sense you know and and with twitter and stuff i mean. There's there's a level of feedback now that promoters wrestlers get that they just didn't used to get and i think it can help to a degree you can also hurt you. Can you can end up in a bubble with only people praising you and you can block people who you don't like And sometimes you know you can use three opinions that that that praise you as justification to ignore thirty thousand people who aren't watching a show who who otherwise would be but if people start just pointing out the ridiculousness of the fact that you know on my fantasy team i got these five guys or pay per minute vendors and i'm losing to a guy who's got You know just name young and whomever you know on his team because getting meaningless. But then one of the first feuds that he has for championship is a returning james storm impacts in a really interesting position right here.
