"Get you in, and that will get you heard. A couple of notes from. The NFL? By the way next segment I WANNA get into some of the changes. We're going to have an MLB we'll get to that. Start off in Baltimore. Lamar Jackson the MVP. Guy Who you will recall I was right about. That was my guy. Then again I also said I liked Mayfield but I said those are the only two quarterbacks in that draft. I liked were Mayfield in Jackson. So. Three quarters, right? But Lamar Jackson made headlines. Couple days ago. When he said his ravens overlooked the titans in that upset playoff loss when they lost twenty eight to four. And John Harbaugh. Ribbons head coach has now offered a response. About Jackson's comments when he had a virtual. Meeting with the reality. with the media I should say, but he said I respect his opinion on it. If he views it that way. That's how he views it. That doesn't bother me. I. Don't think we took them lightly personally. I just think we didn't play well. Now. and. This is very political way of doing it. Because harbaugh doesn't want to say yeah, he's right. I didn't do my job. I basically told them pack. Your bags are going to the ball. At seventy wants to do. But he also doesn't want to say. He's wrong because we did. He basically said Hey. That's how he sees it, I respect. It doesn't bug me I. I think we were ready for them. We just sucked. So. Jackson made the comments on a podcast. Complexes load management. which is about as dumb as name as Ruth's Chris? Steak House David Spade by the way said just call it stake town. I can't. I can't agree more called stake town. And I made the mistake years ago, I had some friends in from England, and they go. Where can we get a stake in San Francisco? I go I know a place that. Very highly regarded. Like a jackass, I took him to a chain Ruth's Chris over on Van Ness. And it was I think I paid like two hundred fifty dollars for? Four people? and. They're like. Do you want fries and they go fries? Don't come with the state you have to order. kind of one for the table like okay, and then somebody said. Can I have something else besides steak and it's like yeah, you can have a Portabella mushroom and the Portabella mushroom was basically. Nine inches wide. But I was just it was gross and has a stupid name. Just be! So. Jackson was on. This is what I do on my show on the sides, but he was on the complexes. APOSTROPHE S. complexes load management. He said it's any given Sunday. You can't underestimate a team. No opponent. And that's what we did. So I look forward to this twenty twenty season playing the Browns I. Don't underestimate your opponents. Day caught us by surprise. That's all I was. I'm surprised here Jackson. Say That because. If you looked at Tanta Hill. Especially in the second half of that season he was basically the best quarterback in football statistically. If you talk about taking care of the ball completion percentage. Now he wasn't GonNa Light up the room and throw for four hundred fifty yards, like Jameis Winston but he wasn't gonNA. Throw a bunch of picks. He wasn't going to get headlines like drew brees or he wasn't gonNA. Have Girls Fall in love with him like Jimmy G.. So and plus he was sort of a guy who is considered washed up right. So it shouldn't have been a huge surprise so. You can make them more compelling argument. That like Harbaugh said the titans played better. But Lamar Jackson's over to in the playoffs. Oh by the way, Derrick, Henry ran for one hundred ninety five yards. and. Oh, by the way Jackson got sacked four times and Jackson had three turnovers. Now the turnovers overshadow the fact that Tennessee score two of their four touchdowns. After Jackson committed that turnover. And the Titans touchdowns scored after their defense, Stop Jackson on designed. quarterback runs on fourth and one twice. So that playoff loss to the titans exposed. Deficiencies that the ravens have aggressively fill because defensively. They went out and traded for Claes Campbell. They drafted Justin metabolically defensive tackle. The raiders and other teams passed on Patrick Queen. At, Lsu, who they snapped up at L. position. Also Maly Harrison. I think queen, Harrison, start. Right away. Buki. Might have to switch up wraps with Derek Wolfe but we'll see but on the offensive side of the ball. They used their second round pick to take jk Dobbins. Two thousand yards. During his final season as Ohio state. That's a guy who we didn't talk a lot about because no one talked about running backs on this draft. was just. Didn't this guy that guy, and maybe he's good. The kid out a Georgia whatever. The Ravens took a couple of receivers. Devin Journey James Proche. Marshall Janda retired. That opens the door. I guess for. Ben. Ben Powers. He'll come in. At Guard. But. They, they've added more pieces around Jackson. They try to beef up the defence and in Baltimore one of those teams. That takes things seriously. and. You say we'll. They all do that, don't they? not really. Not? Not all the time. We've also heard today with things. Getting canceled as Charlie was saying yesterday, The New York City Marathon has been canceled for I. Don't know maybe the first time since World War. Two, I don't know. Last time was canceled probably somewhere in there. But the NFL has now officially cancelled the hall of fame. which was going to be August six in Canton? And when I went there, I said Canton and they said that's China. Supposed to be the cowboys and the steelers, little seventies, super bowl matchup right there, but the Ohio Governor Mike Dewine. Last week, said Yeah I. Don't think it's going to happen well now it's official. Also the League has said the induction ceremonies which are supposed to happen on August eighth. They're not going to happen on August fifth twenty twenty one. Which means bill cower Jimmy Johnson Troy Paula Malu. You will go in with that class. It's going to.

"I like him as a tight end prospect I'm surprised the bears went that direction he better contribute right away that would be my thought process better contribute biggest problem I have a Ryan pace's trading may for Mitch Trubisky and choosing the wrong quarterback tough to overcome it said that a ball mark my name's sake JJ's up next these on CBS sports radio what I've J. Hey Hey DJ Hey I'm from Baltimore okay I love the ravens draft you know overall there's guys weighs more than me but the ones okay we see you on their history they have drafted wide receivers well at all and they got Devin duvernay and James proche but we took that Ohio state running back in the second round and I desert regions and I'm thinking either you guys gonna even make the team and why didn't they draft one of things is going to make the team the two wide receivers do gonna is gonna make the team I like them a Texas you may place the taxes he will absolutely be a part of your team and historically speaking you are right about Baltimore finding wide receivers you know Torrey Smith ended up having a good career for you and I think Hollywood brown already showed you in one year what kind of playmaker he could be a long shot will mark Jackson and I had no problem with the Dobbins pick for this reason your team was probably so surprised he was there mark Ingram is such a physical back but let's be honest there's a whole lot of wear and tear on that body being in the league for a long period of time they may be looking at JK Dobbins as the guy was going to take that physical mantle away from walking or maybe it's not next year but come the following year don't be surprised if he's the lead dog and he's the lead back this with my other my other question is Lamar Jackson's been working out with Antonio brown on both over the last few weeks is there a snowball's chance in hell that he's gonna first will be able to play in the league and and be a raven in turning around his hands holding a brown JJ's going point for anybody next year I would be in agreement I think it is far more likely would see him in Baltimore then it is that you would see him with Tampa Bay Bruce Arians made that perfectly clear we have no interest in bringing a B. S. even if the quarterback wants it Bruce Arians knows him well from his days with the Pittsburgh Steelers and he has seen what Antonio brown in many ways is turned into they're not gonna be team to take that risk and you bring up a good point we do not know the punishment in any sort of suspension Antonio brown could be looking at I have no idea but he has worked out well more Jackson there's obviously the connection to his cousin Hollywood brown if a team brings in Antonio brown in twenty twenty I would say the ravens have bossed because I think the ravens could handle it they have the infrastructure they have the leadership they have the head coach but is that something they want to do I have serious doubts still the guy's been my absolute for the better part of three years he's not somebody I'm saying man I can't wait to have my program pages try to last year how did that work out eight five five two one two for CBS eight five five two one two four two two seven is wall will draft your calls have been outstanding we keep rolling on that we welcome in our only guest tonight will only do one yes did you guys the rest away but we welcome it Tony Pauline Frommer pro football network and we're gonna run through all these dressing areas who got it right who got it wrong some of Tony's favorite picks that's coming up next the ones.

"Get aboard a five five two one two for CBS and now looking forward to what we saw here today and was there when it comes to the later portion of the draft so a lot of dark brown I'm a let's call like it is now somebody's teams have a better feel than others some of these teams do a better job than others but you're looking to see in many ways okay who is going to be the big name veteran that finally gets moved and you still went on and got away to get traded from Jacksonville hasn't happened yet but Trent Williams's future was one of those where you wonder was clean will gonna make plaque with the New York Jets going to make plays the team that ends up getting Trent Williams interesting move the San Francisco forty Niners they lose a tremendous Wyman Joe Staley he's gonna be calling it a career so to replace Staley and bringing Trent Williams I think that's pretty ideal if you challenging your cow Shanahan because you feel like you're not really missing too much of a beat when it comes to adding to an offensive line that's a losing a big black you don't be losing top notch talents at that position knowing with the Niners are which is very much a win now team not as also made a trade with the Miami Dolphins that to me makes sense on a lot of different levels it helps the Niners because of how warded they currently are in the backfield with Tevin Coleman being there with the emergence of Raheem Moster Callistus hero for them every which way throughout the post season they going trade Matt Breida to the Miami Dolphins I know a lot of people looking at Miami as a team what's that a one back was not brought it because they missed out on the address with he goes to Detroit Lions they miss out on Jonathan Taylor and of course they miss out one pick a JK Dobbins who ended up in Baltimore which I think is absolute slam dunk of a move but the real would join Howard I think that's a good compliment listen there's no surprise here with Miami Miami is a team with three first round picks two second round picks in a third round pick you expected them to vastly improve but when you look at what they were able do in free agency and the draft I think Miami will go down as one of the big winners in this off season hands down let's head to Minneapolis grand is going to start off our to ease on CBS sports radio what up Graham all right I'm doing well are you a Die Hard Vikings fan so it made me very happy to see the Packers kind of screw up the strap on your list a grand if you're a Vikings fan if you wore a bears fan of your alliance fan to see Green Bay not end up with a wide receiver and to see Green Bay basically do absolutely nothing in trying to improve the team around Aaron Rodgers yeah that would be a a beautiful beautiful thought if you ask me specially somebody coming from Minneapolis that's for sure they could have the chance to take a job in Jefferson in general reader the lamplight court meditate daughter in law will not see the land now be careful with that that's the way I am because he was gone he ended up going to Dallas Dallas Cowboys and Justin Jefferson ended up going to your team which is the part you know I'm very much in love and I'm a big fan I'm a big believer in Justin Jefferson and it is I had a few repairs on the border they could have taken but there could be some Jordan love who's gonna sit behind Rodgers for at least two years he's gonna sit behind Rogers for two years he's not going to help bail Rogers in trying to get that second Super Bowl in a many ways Graham if I am a Green Bay Packer fan and this goes back to the prior regime and this goes back to their former head coach they missed a golden opportunity in not getting a second Superbowl for Aaron Rodgers and if you look now at the Green Bay Packers the Green Bay Packers or team that yes they may notice the title game but they're also a team that I think has glaring weaknesses I think they have holes that were not addressed that were not filled in any way and I don't see them going into the year is one of the three best teams in the NFC I just don't although on a great being from Minneapolis they made me really happy to see Tyler Johnson goal he was stacked up in Tampa where he could be worse as the number of fever and Campbell with Brady Gronk Sabit Godwin all here Howard I think our John good shining example as their third receiver I don't disagree I appreciate the call Graham Tyler Johnson was a part of a very talented Minnesota golden gophers team last year and how about the Buccaneers bringing in not one but shoot Minnesota golden gophers to players I absolutely love H. one Winfield junior who was my favorite safety in this draft I loft loft image one with your skin he's gonna be a playmaker for them and you get worse in the first round which is obvious you got to have the line to protect Tom Brady who doesn't exactly have a whole lot of mobility you got a running back out of Vandy in Vaughan and then you go get Tyler Johnson all in all I think if you're the Buccaneers trying to build the team around Tom Brady you're certainly moving in the right direction let's head to Long Island video out next the joins us here on CBS sports radio which haven't been Hey JJ how aria Vanney Wycheck about not too much I'm not I'm a I'm a big jazz fan actually called you on the overnight that then a couple weeks ago we talked about we agreed upon the jet had to come out of this draft the one of those top four I think the one in which they obviously did but I for the for the first time I'm thirty two I've been a jet fan that was about you know five six years old but for the first time in a long time I came out of the strap feeling really good about what the debt a draft need but they also got guys that you know they got some playmakers for for Darnold and guide and protect them for the first time a long time and in the address to the secondary although it but without the need to ponder actually read about that kid a couple weeks ago he was the best punter in the draft up I think they are I think they really hit everything they did the only thing I don't really know too much about is the odd the tackle from Charlotte you know much about him I don't I'll be the first to admit that I don't but he feels the need anytime you're talking about the small school players in any way it's the great unknown like the dolphins ended up taking eight Gordon a second round these the physical mall or I mean people raving about him but can I sit there with a straight face and tell you I know a whole lot I don't because there's only so much like track research you could do any I look from jet standpoint I think addressing the offense of line major plus I've been going with a bunch of leaders on their respective college teams major plus defensive line corner positions of need were addressed if there's one critique I would throw the way Joe Douglas I would have preferred eight second wide receiver was brought to this team somebody like Tyler Johnson for example who ended up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if they would have ended up with two receivers I would've given this draft in a because they don't end up with two receivers I'm probably giving it a B. plus a minus but I think that's a high quality grade if you don't judge Douglas gotta be pushed I agree with the words right out of my out of my mouth with that the only thing I would like you ma'am do with another receiver Johnson was actually somebody who I'd write about all right couple weeks they were sitting there in the middle of the third round I thought that was a possibility but the other thing I would like to see them do in the draft the interior of the out of the wind a little bit there a couple guys that they passed on that had pretty are he pretty high potential but you know beggars can't be choosy redrafted you know where we needed to and that if we were sitting here with Joe Douglas now and it's not my cabinet thought if they could not even counting down toward the end had really bad drafts so it's not good to finally see that we have somebody who seems to know what they're doing well said very appreciate the call my friend Joe Douglas went into this draft will hold a lot of pressure Joe Douglas comes from a good football background but there was not any evidence on what he would do as far as drafting as far as addressing personal what the jets were able to accomplish I'd be rather satisfied not overjoyed could you know you get over joined three years that's when you go back on the stress twenty one going after a quarterback that's different but I will get needs on the jets obvious glaring needs and how would they be addressed I would say so far so good with the exception at second wide receiver let's head to Chicago a John is up next the joins us here on CBS sports radio what I'm Johnny ade JJ what's up dude John woods W. whichever other oh boy that case I think I think this draft is gonna be a D. I. they did not address the wide receiver remote situation they needed to they did not address the tackle situation that they needed to they picked up at tight end that had sixty receptions in four years he's a project they did pick up a corner I liked in Johnson I think he's going to be good but they did not address the safety position either what does the thing though JG that bothers me is you have two quarterbacks here in Chicago neither one of which will may not even be here next year and they didn't address that the Packers picked up a quarterback Minnesota picked up a quarterback the bears flubbed a job on that if you were to pick up a quarterback you could have given him a year to learn the playbook and everything and maybe step in next year because the whole John as far as what the U. wanna pick in the first round like what quarterback would you pinpointing what quarterback did you want to add it to the Chicago Bears well I would have been happy if they would have gone after the kid out Iowa I think he might have been able to you know get the job done here I'll check though John listen well he's a project of the aid and I did made a monumental mistake a few years ago you you can't overlook that Trubisky doesn't seventeens raft is an absolute embarrassment and why is he an embarrassment because you could have my homes and you could had Watson I can't be spending too much time on Chicago not gonna quarterback in the fourth or fifth round I'm sorry that just doesn't mean a whole lot to me and really care a whole lot about that Chicago made this mistake in seventeen now they bring a false falls will be alongside Trubisky I'm not well with the position I like the best team combat is a second round pick I like him as a tight end prospect I'm surprised the bears went that direction he better contribute right away that would be my thought process better contribute biggest problem I will run paces the trading may for Mitch Trubisky and choosing the wrong quarterback popped over gonna sit down a ball mark my name's sake JJ's up next these on CBS sports radio what I've J. Hey Hey Judy Hey I'm from Baltimore okay I love the ravens draft you know overall those guys are we smarter than me but the ones okay we see you on their history they have drafted wide receivers well at all and they got Devin duvernay and James proche but we took that Ohio state running back in the second round and I desert regions and I'm thinking either you guys gonna even make the team and why didn't they draft one of things is going to make the team make no nothing the two wide receivers do gonna is gonna make the team I like them to Texas you may place the taxes he will absolutely be a part of your team and historically speaking you are right about Baltimore finding wide receivers even of Torrey Smith ended up having a good career for you and I think Hollywood brown already showed you in one year what kind of playmaker he could be a long shot will mark Jackson and I had no problem with the Dobbins pick for this reason your team was probably so surprised he was there mark Ingram is such a physical back but let's be honest there's a whole lot of wearing hair on that body being in the league for a long period of time they may be looking at JK Dobbins as the guy was going to take that physical mantle away from walking or maybe it's not next year but come the following year don't be surprised if he's the lead dog he's the lead back this with armyworms and my other my other question is Lamar Jackson's been working out with Antonio brown on but over the last few weeks is there a snowball's chance in hell that he's gonna first will be able to play in the league and and.

"Quarterback on Darnold is good on a second head coach as well and then Josh Rosen I mean maybe Josh Rosen was never gonna become anything that guy has got no favours he goes to Arizona who had one of the worst offense of lines in the league maybe ever no weapons around him a terrible offense run by Mike McCoy and then he goes to Miami and he's not getting help either in the bills pick is end and it's a nother wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins yeah Oregon state southern all pac twelve in twenty nineteen the bills take their second receiver of the NFL draft of their NFL draft at two oh seven overall this is a player that I joined Daniel Jeremiah's conference call last week said outside of James proche out of SMU Isaiah Hodgins has some of the best hands in this draft class he's a another tall target kindly Gabriel Davis where in the red zone really good at high point the football one on one absorbing contact really good body control along the sidelines I think this is a good pick I I'm surprised he fell this far again it's kind of pick your poison with what type of wide receiver you want so lately you've seen the run really fast guys like John Hightower because walk ins Darnell Mooney a guy like Hodgins falls later on I guess I was the bill's focus your pass catchers when you add digs and be easily in Browning you re signed Robert foster you try to add some size there when you look at the playoff game against Houston like the there were times and we're like you saw the place do Williams is making you need that you don't I don't think you need that type of receiver in NFL nowadays I mean look at the two Super Bowl teams but it is nice to have that element on your depth chart and they had a couple guys here today will in that role with Davis and Hodgins I am we're well out of receivers in the NFL in the draft network draft guide they only went twenty deep and I say Hodgins was the thirty first wide receiver of the NFL draft I do not have a profile on him for you from the draft network at the very least an uninteresting pick though that they went over another receiver in this draft and I like it so seventy six career catches only three drops that's so that's a reliable player that's what I'm looking for strong hands that need to be the baseline when you're bringing in a receiver like that all right we'll talk more about the bills most recent pic as a Hodgins in the sixth round wide receiver at Oregon state we'll hear from him in his conference call at some point in the near future we'll hear from branded being I'm sure after the bill's final pick which is in the seventh round one round away and will continue on through that Jody the Aussie in lieu de Biasi here extended NFL draft coverage here on WGR have.

"Time is always Archos enjoy it there is Dave Logan the terrific voice of the Broncos with us as we were waiting on that's it there is there is a little like Darth Vader Hey there little Darth Vader affected I know it is I know it is that's going to come in handy though okay able it's actually it's what when you hear him say it it's not it does kind of roll off the tongue one just like our open label non Albert we got for sure yeah okay and I said over and over and over like anything that's how you learn it and we'll be fine by the time that we got plenty of time on our hands still unfortunately until we're really back into this full time so you have time during the week you want to know they tell you to say Happy Birthday twice right it says our bathroom mirrors here is our washing your hands yeah Happy Birthday twice that's right out in the twenty second twenty second work on Alberta okay but name at like eight times and your it takes a couple seconds just to get through it once right so say it ten times and and you're good Mike Reiss of brandy crystal are continuing draft coverage special thanks to our friends at A. A. R. P. for sponsoring the draft coverage will be with you until six o'clock or until the conclusion of John Elway and Vic Fangio's comments they'll have some remarks about the draft afterwards we'll have those live here and came away and will continue to bring you special guests and more picks is the Broncos will be picking twice in the seventh round as things stand right now two hundred and fifty second overall in two hundred fifty fourth and we are in I need to update my screen here we're getting close to the seventh round and I'm on the wrong screen we are at pick two oh three the Vikings are on the clock here some of the handful of recent pics at two oh two Evan weaver the inside linebacker out of cal goes to the cardinals before that James proche wide receiver from SMU to Baltimore I like that kid yeah he looks good at the senior bowl and he'll fit in nicely with what they've got for Lamar Jackson another wide receiver before that two hundred overall quiz Watkins and of southern miss to the eagles Jordan fuller safety from Ohio state to the Chargers to order I'm sorry the rams can recognize the logo logo is not good it's really weird and it's really small Antoine Brooks junior safety at a Maryland goes to the Steelers and those are the the last five picks or so in the name of note in this round at thirteen the Packers continue to not get help for and Rogers outside but Jon Runyon the son of longtime eagles pro bowler Jon Runyan who works for the NFL now and and he played his college ball at Michigan he was gonna be a a day three pick I talked to his dad at the Superbowl or the probable and you know he he was a little banged up in Michigan didn't get to play in the senior bowl which is that didn't understand but he he's a good football player and obviously a great pedigree wit with his dad plan a decade plus the league so we'll see Jon Runyan can stick it out with the Packers another quarterback goes this around a hundred eighty ninth overall that's tenth in the round J. gluten of Oregon state goes to Jacksonville so they get a six star quarterback of course their previous six around quarterback pick Gardner Minshew figures to be the starter there and so those are some of the other picks in rounds six the Broncos as we look ahead to round seven we'll be picking as we mentioned two fifty two in two fifty for those are two of the final four picks of this two hundred and fifty five pick draft the New York Giants right now scheduled to pick or last overall and select Mr irrelevant we'll see if they keep that pick will save the Broncos keep their picks in the seventh round I I'm a little surprised B. K. I. I thought for sure there would have been at least one trade by now I'm not disappointed that there hasn't been because I mean it's easy to get excited about what these guys did in college are getting drafted because they were really good players and you know hopefully at least the guys in the top part of the draft the first couple of days can come in and and more of them contribute right away than not that's the idea yeah this I'm not calling my shot but this feels like it could be the second time in call the show sixteen eighteen years whatever that street is where the Broncos don't have an undrafted player make the fifty three out of camp I don't have a reason why sentencing ten guys are the brand or six or eight and John Elway alluded to that early in the week when he had his pre draft press conference that they don't have to worry too much about the college free just because of how they've set this roster up and when you look at it that sentence on those guys can't make it because you never know where the next full plenty Chris Harris is but we'll see how that goes when this all wraps up and they bring in however many undrafted guys then cut some of the guys they have on futures contracts or maybe they do make cuts on guys like Jeff farmer Jake but I don't think it makes sense now to do it because you just don't have to but they they'll have some time and maybe they do no there's one more guy they want after they picked these final two they don't make a move three oh three seven one three eighty five eighty five if you want to join this and weigh in on your thoughts about the Broncos draft to this point day three or overall five six six nine zero on the text line my grace and Brandon Crist all taking you right through the end of the draft brought to us by A. "Just realize it's still on the board who would be a phenomenal pick for the forty Niners right here is Randy moss is kid that is lost that is moss is not been drafted he's not a six four six five tied and he's a six two tight end but men you're never gonna see a tight end Donovan peoples Jones just went to the Browns yeah pick one eighty seven I think that's right but that is small us had a Lisfranc injury which prevented him from doing anything before the draft but man if you watched at the LSU Miami R. Ellis you Alabama game I mean he made one of most beautiful sideline catches the you'll ever see it tight and make email it's like a NFL wide receivers like an eight year vet made this play and he made it as a collegiate tight end on the goal line team was winning out of bounds on the ball and it was an incredible play you knew you could probably hit the you tube and check it out but that is losses intriguing AJ green would be intriguing the SMU receiver James proche Jay is a credible route runner with great great ball skills who probably could step in and play right now I'll take another wild card name to look for and I don't know Anthony Gordon who said you know the ones who quarterback we had we had leach on and you know Mike leach coach this kid up I said Mike what kind of books are pros are gonna be like he he you know he went from like joking around mode to like dead serious and he gave us this incredible yes you can go to Canberra dot com check it out he's a huge fan of Anthony Gordon who's a pacifica kid and you know you watch me throw strikes he's accurate he's athletic I don't know what the future quarterback is but I like Anthony Gordon's upside for sure that's in the in this release really exciting to me also you know I mentioned Kenny will kiss prince tega one no ho the Auburn offense of tackle another guy with an injury issue but he ran in the four eight he's a great athlete I mean a truly great athlete who played in the SEC against terrific defense alignment and played at a really high level I love one go and then Katie hill from Ohio state as I said you know he's used to look at him and you say well six feet in the air and he didn't run all that fast then you watch Ohio state games and it's like first down K. J. hill first down cagey hill he's a awesome route runner and then went to mobile and he was one of the more polished receivers there so it'll be interesting to see what direction to go because I think the idea this is this is a classic part of the draft where you can steal good football players if you got a good eye for talent well it like how do you gauge value at this point is it somebody who makes the team is somebody else impactful right away like is it I want somebody who makes the team because I mean you're looking or just you know it it could be it might be somebody that you didn't even think that would be there and you're just like Hey you know you got lucky and is there well the that would mean that somebody that they've either that is falling on their board which then they're attracted to because they made that move of good will and or or they're actually looking for depth at a position I I just don't know I'm I'm I'm curious to see what happens here because as you said a minute ago it seems like they made that trade to more dump good when that was to to move up to one ninety here I'm impressed that they had the good one had the value because I think I'm all the assumption was that that he was replaceable and was going to be cut and that nope everybody knew that and nobody would give up any I think we may OQO told us that I see this is good we're gonna fetch a pick and he's like I doubt it I doubt it I I think he's these they're just gonna wind up cutting him yeah and and I can understand why that was the opinion but it was funny when Kyle Shanahan talked about it he spoke with great confidence that that Goodwin had value in the trade market and and this is the good one pick the six pick get out for they use this one win to move up right they swap for this one's coming up in the bills pick is in right now at one eighty eight so we're still just a couple blocks away from an interesting kicker named Tyler bass from Georgia southern so there you go now I don't talk about finding your needs you know filling a need or find somebody who can make your football team I think the pats took a kicker earlier to to let yeah and now that you know the ANM punter I know the Niners only upon they went and invested a high pick in which nasty but I don't know if you've seen this kid man who who punts for a and M. he's an incredible punter I mean it's like one of the great punters in yeah I'm surprised really surprised here we are in the sixth round you know we seem punters in the last few years gonna go a little higher this is this guy's a phenomenal punter means guys change field position on you in a heartbeat who's the killer still there was a kind of Georgia and the the kids are with the other goggles rodrico blanket accident everybody's interested or number ninety eight right that's right you just got to boot I don't know yet Dennis is looking at me like I'm not someone do that more people right no no one talking about them like seven of Alaska's largest rattled off really oblige a person named I consider to be seen this girl is just look at his own rival by maybe any kicker in the NFL across miss Chris Sabo this is a he's got the rec specs on what kind of foggy and gobbled up all these are always taken through the uprights you don't get many big gam we have to acquire those other names rodrico Aguayo or their names came out a couple years ago for the box you made some early early take a bike rodeo a glance in a second round pick in the condom that's right please listen to the music since early in the season how to get fired as a general manager who drafted kicker in the second round then cut him less than a year later I mean as long as you're not out there than you take in the first thing you're right about a lot of like nineteen seasons exactly yeah well the Jaguars are on the clock it pick one eighty nine we're going as you can tell a little bit over time right sorry five after one but but we're just waiting on the on the Niners pick and then they'll have one more pic we will get we will wait around for two seventeen will that Denison and Adam and myself get on with the rest of our afternoon and and will have foot forty niner football basically wall to wall for the next twenty four hours on the sports leader and remember Monday morning Adam gets rolling Brighton early what time you start the shower our formerly the shower the leadoff spot it's going to fly you're a good man you you're a shower head do your your relentless with the the plug of the shower whatever amount of time did you consulate to it it's all it's been two years you know it's all good I guess it's going to turn Gary started two PM on on Monday afternoon Hey I got a quick question for the foreigners you get ready to to make this this pick at one ninety yeah as far as cold go goes do you see him coming in and you know it do you see Colton as a developmental player do you see him coming in and and you know he's a tackle they made a tackle seems set now many Z. just strictly up tacklers he sounds like he's just a he's a tough guy who can play anywhere they tell me to plus when I'm a part of either the I you know what that's the beauty of their line and I think I think this is going to be a really nice year for the night or less can be a really strong unit on this football team I mean you got you got to really really good tackles and then Tomlinson played but I thought he was tremendous last year yeah at left guard he's a he's a rock now the question is is Richburg gonna become coming back it sounds like it may be Ben garland to start the year and then Richburg but now I think what you're looking for if you're looking for the rest to you the linemen that are in your camp to be versatile and guys who are tough and athletic and versatile and I think that's this is just adding another tough athletic versatile guy in the room and we'll see how it how it turns out after they fight it out in campus Thursday camp my right foot in Israel in what is a camp manners are on the clock so they went to one kilo fourteen pick in round one they went Brandon are you trading back and around one at pick twenty five and that's how things started for the Niners on Thursday today they started their day by trading a fifth round pick today and a third round pick in next year's draft to Washington for Trent Williams and then they traded Matt breeder to the dolphins for a fifth round pick in two Colton McKevitt said an offense of linemen from West Virginia Dennis and I were just discussing and then they traded marquise Goodwin in this two hundred and pick to tend to the eagles to move up from two ten to one ninety and they also pick two seventeen so mail list there there need as a cornerback I would say if you're going to fill a need AJ green would be a great option a corner the other corner that I really like is from Florida Atlantic could AG Corning James Pierre another big body corner you know you're looking for you for the Niners they like six one six three corners were rangy like Witherspoon but also can play man coverage these are something to find sometimes you think about the receivers are going to deal with LG kan med cap just gonna get better in Seattle that guy's a freak of nature he's huge and then you've got the Andre Hopkins to deal with Larry fitzgerald still banging around with their players the you gotta contained in this division the it's not gonna get easier with Cooper cop in LA so the court is going to be an important position for the forty Niners for the next decade no doubt no doubt an end yet you know if you don't have a corner on the board the ally can you really love somebody at this point the draft you know I don't much rather go for the player the L. love over the player that you know like that fills a need because you know it you know if it's all about making your football team a better football team and and there's injuries and that you know the thing is just you can never have a deep enough roster right right and if you can find a terrific player who cares if if he if you have an immediate need how you can always just have another terrific player well at this point the dress Easter to gamble a little bit too with guys who you think may be available right after after this things all said and done you're talking about how crazy it gets immediately following the draft for the the undrafted free agents like this probably about a dozen others are looking at saying we may have a shot of the staff we don't have to take him in the sixth or the seventh and you also Sir plan that you're your own drafted free agents say you may you may have an agent for a guy who's an undrafted free agent that you really badly want right who tells you Hey you know what we're going you know if we don't get picked we will sign with you and maybe he plays a position that you know you're debating picking right now when you say that we'll we'll take care of that with the undrafted free agent so there's a there's a lot of things that go on here but this is where your road scouts the guys who are on the.

"All of the nose bleed seats that will check alongside Eric your follow who is at the U. spots studio in Haslett is home and I am here at seventy five in fits you along with our producers zero taking Joel Levin o'clock tonight we're about to get into job openings seven around now boys mock drafts before we get into that though the news of the day just to recap for you here on your home else cowboys football one oh five three the fan the cowboys have agreed to terms with Dontari Poe V. years an amount has still yet to be announced but if they do during our show we will let you know they also signed former Kansas City Chiefs in Oklahoma sooner tight end Blake bell to a one year deal Connor Williams is recovering nicely from his torn ACL the suffered on thanksgiving day and is doing on field drills and Eric I want to throw out this hypothetical for you before we dive into the seven round mock draft let's do it answers they have not ruled as their new head coach and he's kind of been cleaning house there a little bit you could say you move on from cam Newton that's definitely a big deal they released him yesterday after nine years of being their franchise quarterback they bring in teddy Bridgewater they bring in the XFL star PJ Walker and yesterday they signed Robbie Anderson the wide receiver that Matt will coach along with PJ Walker their new back up quarterback at temple so you're starting receivers now appear to be Robbie Anderson your first round pick DJ Moore who came on strong and you've got Christian McCaffrey so your number three option now is Curtis Samuel the Ohio's former Ohio state wide receiver that was the Panthers number two for the last couple of seasons maybe Curtis Samuel now could be on the chopping block in the cowboys who have yet to fill the hole that Randall Cobb left them on their roster maybe you know when you're looking at your compensatory picks if you make a trade that does not affect that and a lot of the people surrounding the Carolina Panthers Benjamin Solak weeding out would imagine Curtis Samuels on the block with the Robby Anderson acquisition or at least the Panthers would entertain an offer extremely interesting option for pretty much every team Jordan reed who covers the NFL with DJ Moore now Roddy Anderson Carolina that could leave Kurdistan was the odd man out so I ask you and I ask the leaders and solos would you be interested in may be making a trade with the Panthers to get Curtis Samuel is your new slot number three wide receiver I get I'm certainly intrigued by that no question I would love to be able to do it after the draft just to see what the cowboys were able to do to remember the strap the reason why I'm hesitant to really make any wide receiver moves before the draft because I think the cowboys are solid with their wanting to they just need that third guy and this draft is gonna have a plethora of options for you all throughout the draft at least up until rounds three and four you can find a a day one number three receiver that's just how deep it is so I don't know if you wanna use a pick on a guy who is is a veteran in the league is that much closer to getting a new deal but Curtis Samuel is one of those guys whose one because he is not only a receiving option but is also a rushing option he's got three rushing touchdowns in his short career and he's ran the ball over thirty times so I mean he can and I don't think the Panthers used him in the best ways Bob I think he could be even more of a gadget guy if you allow it to be and that would be another fun piece of the offense but I don't know unless the deal is just so good like that they're willing to give them up for like a fifth or sixth round pick I don't know if I'd rather just wait and see what the draft has in store for me but then after the draft maybe the Panthers are less inclined to want to trade him at that point but if not you could you could look to do that if you don't like what you got the draft wide receiver wise but I kind of want to when it comes to the receivers I kinda like to just wait until the draft because I think you're gonna get great value yeah there's so many options and I was doing a mock draft simulator yesterday you know Michael Pittman junior the cowboys met with at the combine we know they've expressed interest there he was available in the third round joulwan Jennings at a Tennessee who Jeff loves and you decided you like without even watching him play you decided he's good because Jeff city was good he was available in the sixth round you have convinced me are you kidding me right right still make your own opinions but either way you know there's going to be options no question about that from the two one four why would proceed will be on a block when he's probably suited as a third wide receiver that was my thinking as well you know when they signed Robbie Anderson my initial thought was damn they got some weapons to work with now when you've got the Jay Mohr Anderson and courtesy emails your top three guys and Christian McCaffrey that is a spicy offense but I just read you the tweets of of people to cover the Carolina Panthers that are saying courtesy email could be the odd man out so if that's what they're saying I think the rest of the NFL needs to look at and say okay what I have interest in this player right this is a guy who when you lose Randall Cobb and I think you made a beautiful point there in terms of you know he courtesy will played some running back at Ohio state and when Mike McCarthy coach Randall Cobb Green Bay he won them up all over the field he was in the back field he was a slot receiver he was an outside receiver he returned kicks you return punts courtesy emails that kind of Swiss army knife for offense if you use him properly and if you got him in here especially being a young player entering his thirty year I think Mike McCarthy could have a field day with him he's averaged over ten yards per touch over the in the last two seasons he scored seven touchdowns in each of the last two seasons and he's also top twenty in the league in air yards a season ago and that's with Kyle Allen for the most of the season throwing him the football so this is a dude who has put up numbers with the lack of a very talented quarterback I would definitely be intrigued I don't think a fifth or sixth round picks gonna do it for you about a third or a fourth you have to measure Hey is this guy better than say a receiver that I would draft in the fourth round the answer might be no you know maybe the cowboys value Michael Pittman junior higher than that maybe they like a Devin duvernay added taxes maybe they want to wait and take a James proche J. out of SMU I've seen in a lot of mocks hang around there in the sixth round right and there's no problem with that you're getting a much cheaper player for a longer period of time the courtesy email is a name that intrigues me I think the cowboys have to do their due diligence and maybe make a call and see what the pay others are looking for yeah yeah I know for sure I think it's worth the phone call but not only because Kirsten you might like more but he's he's going to be here for now so he's going to be due for a a contract relatively soon why you draft a guy the third fourth round you got him cheap labor for the next four years so that's it that's another thing that you have to you throw into account here and from the fourth real but shouldn't Pollard be that role for this team and yes absolutely now I will say you can't have enough of those guys you know if I can get two guys that are super dynamic in an uneven play can be lined up as a running back or wide receiver the poll is also not your number on your website right like this team doesn't have a number three white out you can't just looking at Tony Pollard who's your backup running back sure he's got the capability lined up in the slot but if you look at the depth at wide receiver for this team right now behind Amari Cooper Michael Gallup is not very good yeah I know you you're totally right there but again I do think filling the wide receiver three hole is going to be able to be done in the draft I and I get with the texture saying there in regards to just having a guy that has the ability to play wide receiver and running back catch passes out of the backfield and do some fun things that is certainly what you want Tony Pollard to be though Tony Pollard is more of a running back and receiver Curtis Daniels more receiver than a running back but they both can do a little bit of both so I I would I would like it but again I think this draft is just perfectly suited to go take one of these wide receivers and I wouldn't mess with having to worry about one of these veteran guys and you got a trade in for picks right so yeah you are you over thank you you have to give up a pick but you're getting a player I guess you just you know and if already right now one hundred percent you know what he's bringing to the table verses projecting on a guy and yeah I mean there are certainly if the draft is the route to go this year for a wide receiver but I think that was an intriguing player to at least you know bring up in a in a possible trade scenario agreed yeah because it would be a fantastic addition and we'll let we'll get to the the backup quarterback stuff in a little bit but owning who was on the show last night had a pretty nice mock draft I don't know if you got a how much of a change you got to look at it but yet in the first round he gives us his guys Zack Bon and he talked to us about him last night from Wisconsin whose on off the ball linebacker but a really really good pass rushers well he's a little bit undersized and is that a lot of people would probably think that's a reach but owning absolutely loves this guy he's not the most athletic he's not like the difference the reason why I like Caleb on chase on it because I think the ceiling is super high with the athleticism with the bend around the edge with the ability for him to be able to cover running backs and tight ends a little bit out of the backfield I think it's super impressive but Zach bond is a guy that yeah he kind of sold me on a little bit last night I need to go watch more of them but he thinks from just a technical standpoint after chase young he's the second best pass rusher in the entire draft yeah so nineteen and a half tackles for loss in twenty nineteen for Zack Bonnin twenty and twelve and a half sacks to me you know he plays the T. J. white spot right where the cowboys decided Hey this is a guy that doesn't put his hand on the ground we don't want to take him we're projecting him as a right defensive ends and we'd rather rocket taco Charlton which is a mistake but this is owning cut twenty seven last night we had him on the show this is inside on Wisconsin linebacker Jack bond one he's a very versatile.

"Fourth fifth rounds Perim single Terry yeah that's a really good point and I think I mean we've seen in the last couple years at the bill have Dennis strangely or against the trend gone with free agent running back to Chris ivory and Frank gore and we heard so much about how Brandon bean wanted to pair Frank gore with Devin single Terry to have that mentorship for single Terry's rookie year and and I think as the season progresses probably exactly what Devin single Terry the coaching staff and brand B. minded that single Terry ultimately took over the future back role from Frank gore and looked you know to be one of the better young running backs in the entire NFL I wonder if that one season having the leadership of Frank gore to learn with just some of the nuances about being a pro that there would maybe to turn the bills from you know adding a thirty a year old running back or an older guy or even someone like a high profile but like you said Melvin Gordon so I think certainly with that that's it it's not as good as a receiver class but there still are always and in this case is no different day three of the draft third fourth fifth round it would not surprise me if the build up really pick maybe a bigger back to kind of compliment seven single tear there are still some really good running back in Benjamin premieres on the state so a little bit smaller but shoulder the load for the sun devils for a long time I'm there's just how it was a minor back you can get with good blocking can ultimately former good pairing with seven buffalo Chris I wanna go back real quick to wide receiver just because I'm really falling in love with this draft class early on there is a lot of players I like in the first round second round even coming down today three you know fit in around five through seven there are some players that you know even in the senior bowl can do a little bit of everything if you want the size of a we'll just talk about the senior bowl Colin Johnson Michael Pittman if you want to run after the catch guys like Brandon I'll kind of Arizona state or Devin do Renee from taxes the proven guys that produced on a college level lackey J. hill James proche there's just I feel like pick your poison what you want out of a wide receiver the bills maybe looking for some size I feel you can get a whole lot of everything and I think you gonna see a lot of that this weekend yeah and it really wouldn't surprise me if the bills do not go wide receiver in free agency which I think it at at that point February March that people kind of say Hey what are they doing and you know there's we'll see some bigger deals Robbie Anderson going to sign a big deal like you said there might be a mark Hooper maybe AJ green it would not surprise me if the bills pick two wide receivers in this upcoming draft a maybe in the second or third round someone like Antonio Gandhi gold and then that was awesome for liberty amazing fantastic catch skilled huge catch radius and then pick someone like a James crochet that's more of a slot receiver because they clearly saw what benefits come from their wide receivers when they can create separation and that was we all thought Josh jail just gonna throw deep every play and they're really gonna prioritize side like Brandon B. add in Carolina with Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess but really the offense looked much better and much more confident in Josh on second season with Cole Beasley and John Brown being the main targets in terms of the what the wide receiver so I think yes there is a different flavor any type of wide receiver you wanna kind of indicative to what the college football game is that every teams were running out three and four and five wide receivers so at every stage of the draft you'll be able to pinpoint do we want side doing what separation we want yards after the catch and this truly is the best wide receiver class I've scouted since twenty fourteen my government walk ins doc on that that good of a class maybe there was it was a little pop have your that class but when you have Judy you have seen the lamb and then again just every single round there are gonna be players that we're gonna talk about say how did this guy go on the fourth how did that guy go on the six very good wide receivers Polish everything they're just doing a lot more is being asked of them at the collegiate level Chris I you know what I'm looking at these addresses again I'm kinda getting fascinated more more by the senior bowl Rosset you've got there that everyone's lining up with you gotta players like Ford as Jonathan greener there and searches Alton Robinson Miami's trip on hill the bills as you mentioned are very fond of taking players in the senior bowl with the middle to late rounds there who are some of your favorites that I think from this game that you'd be keeping your eye on Isabel sent two guys I'll pinpoint and you said one of them Jonathan green aired from Florida your turn on his film and I wrote up his scouting report recently for my notes he's probably the most naturally athletic edge rusher in the entire class he wins with basketball moved on the outside he does again in and out yet been moved I'm a very fluidly can can we went to the outside with speed and band not the biggest not the strong guest but this week and this is kinda what's so awesome about the senior bowl he's gonna face some really good office of tackled and we're going to see how you know how much power is he really lacking or how athletic he is and because you do not have this crazy productive see our career in college he was a transfer into Florida had a good senior year but it would not surprise me if he's you know on the third day fourth fifth sixth round of the bills want to add some more pass rush to their addresses by which I think they should and will Jonathan greener from Florida very very special athlete that's probably not going to be picked very early and then Josh booty from Michigan kind of could fill into that Lorenzo Alexander role that he played off the ball like a traditional linebacker for Michigan at times and then on third down like the bill did with Lorenzo Alexander a lot with and the ads smaller but need to power awesome get off the line had some pass rushing moves but can really push back bigger stronger offense of tackles because he has such good leverage and just generate so much power in his lower half because you've got a between I could see some teens pushing them down thing third fourth fifth round for him but with a good week I think second or third round for Josh to cheat the bills do go wide receiver in the first he would make sense to fill what I. I think it's kind of a of a quiet need for those that still that hybrid linebacker address your spot that's going to be big by Lorenzo Alexander retiring Hey Chris is a couple more for you here the quarterback position is not when the bills will be looking heavily at in this draft class for sure you know especially early on top of the class you got borough you got to will probably both be in burrows gonna go one two will probably talk five who's your next guy me Justin Herbert from organs can be playing in the senior bowl this weekend he was actually last year seen as probably one A. one B. with two are what do you do you like the class after Berlin too well and you know you have a favorite for number three okay but my number three right now and and I'm kind of strangely like it I'm kind of one of the few that still like the traits and what he has it's kind of become trendy they all look at that bad game against Arizona state or look it up at quarter you didn't know couldn't complete a pass but I kind of liken him to and it is not necessarily my concrete comparison for him but he's kind of like a more refined Josh Ellen when he was a prospect the six foot six has a huge arm every game there are some wild throws where you're like there are some NFL quarterback I can't make that zero and conversely there are throws that you're wondering how he didn't have that wide open receiver on a deep route or why didn't he see that underneath linebacker he's been a starter for three years he can run with the football he's not as authoritative as Josh inland as a runner and I think he was in more of a quarterback friendly system at Oregon a lot of bubble screens than what Josh in on within at Wyoming throwing the football down the field quite a bit but I think in the right system and as we saw this year with Josh on the other line got better the receivers got better and oddly enough Jack failing out but I think of trucking Herbert does to a better team later in the first round maybe sit for a year I think you get alternately be a very good quarterback the class itself not very fond of I think last couple years were a little bit better especially twenty eighteen of course Jacob Eason is the other guy to watch out for he and Jordan loves you could be there will be at the senior bowl Jordan love well some Patrick my home straight not as gifted as Patrick Malone but we'll try some crazy type it throws off his back what side arm across the field Jacob even as another one might have the strongest army in the NFL as a rookie in and that's with alcohol few few few arm wants to be a pocket passer not very gas moving inside the pocket when he feels pressure he can he kinda crumbled of know what to do but at times at Washington in early in his career at Georgia when he protected him while he was throwing leaders on target all over the field might be a under the first or second round pick but if you talk about upside in and and skills and traits Jacob Eason is it another one to kind of watch during the pre draft process Chris let's swing back around the bills and rap on this we had more and more people bringing up tight end as a a position of need or a position of interest in this off season I think a big reason for that might be Hey the tight end position in free agency looks a lot more attractive than wide receiver you've gotten mainly because the top two guys in hunter Henry in Austin Hooper and I don't know like you could talk me into that is an idea because I think that is an added weapon and I can absolutely sign up for two good tight ends but I'm not sure how big a need it is to go that big considering I really like Dawson not to eat I don't think you'll ever be George cattle but he's the exact same size he's got like create like crazy athleticism it seems almost similar to cattle and again I don't think I'll ever be George cattle but I liked what he had as a rookie and I think that he is deathly cable being a good starting tight on yeah I don't think it's that big of a need I I think more specifically obviously wide receiver is where they will prioritize where they should prioritize I mean I think we forget because I I think he was a healthy scratch last like ten game but I mean we started off and I looked like a pretty solid I've been around tight and and the bill like the fact that he was a three down guy that he's not going to come in and be totally lost or totally over powered as a blocker see have him tell across the relatively young I was he didn't do it Honda side catch that touched on again dealers.

and band not the biggest not the strong guest but this week and this is kinda what's so awesome about senior bowl he's gonna face some really good office of tackled and we're going to see how you know how much power is he really lacking or how athletic he is and because you do not have this crazy productive see our career in college he was a transfer into Florida had a good senior year but it would not surprise me if he's you know on the third day fourth fifth sixth round of the bills want to add some more pass rush to their address is about I think they should and will Jonathan greener from Florida very very special athlete that's probably not going to be picked very early and then Josh booty from Michigan kind of could fill into that Lorenzo Alexander role that he played off the ball like a traditional linebacker for Michigan at times and then on third down like the bill did with Lorenzo Alexander a lot with I'm the AD smaller but need to power awesome get off the line had some pass rushing moves but can really push back bigger stronger offense of tackles because he has such good leverage and just generate so much power in his lower half because he's kind of a tweener I could see some teens pushing him down thing third fourth fifth round for him but with a good week I think second or third round for Josh who cheat the bills do go wide receiver in the first he would make sense to fill what I. I think it's kind of a of a quiet need for those of still that hybrid linebacker address your spot that's going to be taking by Lorenzo Alexander retiring Hey Chris is a couple more for you here the quarterback position is not when the bills will be looking heavily at in this draft class for sure you know especially early on top of the class you got borough you got to will probably both be you know burrows gonna go one two will probably talk five who's your next guy I mean Justin Herbert from organs can be playing in the senior bowl this weekend he was actually last year seen as probably one A. one B. with two are what do you do you like the class after Berlin too well and you know you have a favorite for number three Herbert my number three right now and and I'm kind of strangely like it I'm kind of one of the few that still like the traits and what he has it's kind of become trendy they all look at that bad game against Arizona state or look it up at quarter you didn't know couldn't complete a pass but I kind of liken him to and it is not necessarily my concrete comparison for him but he's kind of like a more refined Josh Ellen when he was a prospect the six foot six has a huge arm every game there are some wild throws where you're like there are some NFL quarterback I can't make that zero and conversely there are throws that you're wondering how he didn't have that wide open receiver on a deep route or why didn't he see that underneath linebacker he's been a starter for three years he can run with the football he's not as authoritative as Josh inland as a runner and I think he was in more of a quarterback friendly system at Oregon a lot of bubble screens than what Josh and one was in at Wyoming throwing the football down the field quite a bit but I think in the right system and as we saw this year with Josh on the other line got better the receivers got better and oddly enough Jack failing out but I think if Johnson Herbert goes to a better team later in the first round maybe sit for a year I think you get alternately be a very good quarterback the class itself not very fond of I think last couple years were a little bit better especially twenty eighteen of course Jacob Eason is the other guy to watch out for he and Jordan loves you could be there will be at the senior bowl Jordan love well some Patrick my home straight not as gifted as Patrick Mahoney but we'll try some crazy type it throws off his back what side arm across the field Jacob even as another one might have the strongest army in the NFL as a rookie in and that's with alcohol few few few arm wants to be a pocket passer not very gas moving inside the pocket when he feels pressure he can he kinda crumbled doesn't know what to do but at times at Washington in early in his career at Georgia when they protected him while he was throwing the leaders on target all over the field might be a under the first or second round pick but if you talk about upside in and and skills and traits Jacob Eason is there another one to kind of watch during the pre draft process Chris let's swing back around the bills and rap on this we had more and more people bringing up tight end as a a position of need or a position of interest in this off season I think a big reason for that might be Hey the tight end position in free agency looks a lot more attractive than wide receiver you've gotten mainly because the top two guys in hunter Henry in Austin Hooper and I don't know like you could talk me into that is an idea because I think that is an added weapon and I can absolutely sign up for two good tight ends but I'm not sure how big a need it is to go that big considering I really like Dawson not to eat I don't think you'll ever be George cattle but he's the exact same size he's got like create like crazy athleticism it seems almost similar to cattle and again I don't think I'll ever be George cattle but I liked what he had as a rookie and I think that he is deathly cable being a good starting tight on yeah I don't think it's that big of a need I I think more specifically obviously wide receiver is where they will prioritize where they should prioritize I mean I think we forget because I I think he was a healthy scratch last like ten games but I mean we started off and I looked like a pretty solid I've been around tight and and the bill like the fact that he was a three down guy that he's not going to come in and be totally lost or totally over powered as a blocker see have him tell across the relatively young I was he didn't do it Honda side catch that touched on again dealers.
