"Nothing by UV, for Viral surrogates, Kobe knew James Molly's research and tests for the US National Institutes of Health UV, light helps decontaminate traces of covid nineteen. ninety-five respirator masks. Molly cautions that you see is only as effective as the dosage of light it gives off. I can get results an inch away. That are pretty impressive. Six inches away I'll get no effect if I'm not careful that can be overcome with these robots generally, they'll put them in the room for sixty minutes. And so we're not trying to get it done in ten seconds. We've now got a huge amount of time and we can just keep dosing pulsing. Chip we says his robot knock three hours on a full charge and can cover nearly twenty thousand square feet in that time. Well, questions remain whether this will stop covid nineteen. He hopes that UV can someday replaced sprays and disinfectants. Especially in CNN..

"Five months after her encounter with James Molly decided she was ready to share her secret with the world and she wanted to do it in the biggest way possible on facebook. Most of you don't know that I've been dealing with breast cancer since two thousand eleven and have been stage four since twenty fifteen. It was important to me to not be seen as a patient or as cancer. Those are terms. I hope would never define me. I decided to only come out with what was going on if I could do. So in an empowering way that said next week I'm heading from Los Angeles where I live to New York for Fashion Week. Molly always dreamed of being a model when she was growing up walking the runways of Paris and Milan Alexander McQueen as flashbulbs went off but when she hit her twenties she started to think that dream wasn't possible she thought she was too short to Chunky. And not pretty enough to be a model now. Here was her chance to walk in one of the biggest fashion events of the season along with twenty nine other women who were living with breast cancer and they would all be modeling designer lingerie Anna Ono in partnership with Hashtag Cancer. Land talk about epic. When would she get a chance like that again? It had a stressful trip. You're there a stressful. You were there and that was why you made it less stressful. But yeah but It was very stressful. Yeah I was there and yeah. It was stressful. Those few days would alter the course of molly's life in ways she didn't expect but stress wasn't the feeling about the trip at first when she called me she was ecstatic. She had that excited quiver. Inner voice she was giggling. Can you believe I'm going to walk in Fashion Week? But she was nervous to revealing her cancer to hundreds of people in such a public way with scary and it triggered all sorts of questions and insecurities anxieties. I faced was about the mark. I was going to leave on the world before I pass my diagnosis made me feel like I had nothing to show for my forty some odd years and perhaps I needed to race to validate my existence. I needed to do something. Big The someone to have mattered. Molly's bold at her personal life but she also has shown side she avoids. The spotlight asks other people questions rather than talk about herself. She was still writing her blog anonymously. Fashion Week was molly's chance to go public to make a mark to be someone and she wanted me to come along. Of course I said yes. I mean Shit. I'd hitchhiked to New York if I had to in order to see her own that runway on the flight to New York. She couldn't stop talking. Would she be able to walk down the runway and heels without falling on her face? What if she had to wear Thong underwear with the designer put her leather lace and there was one more part of this trip? That made it stressful. Hey Hi hi girl. How are you you sound like a hundred miles away which you are more than we were going to be staying with? Molly's mom her name is Joan. I've known her for seventeen years almost as long as I've known molly. They're the spitting image of each other. Intense blue is giants smile except now Joan has silver hair. So what do you think it was for her? A New York fashion week to sort of come out and tell everybody that she had cancer and also walk as a model. What do you think that was for her? Whatever she liked made me happy right now. I mean she wanted to do something. I was happy if she didn't want to do something. That would have been fine but I was very proud for that. She was willing to do this. Joan is matter of fact like a lot of New Yorkers. She says what she thinks. You can see where molly gets it She was born into this. I mean I thought the most loving world that she was the most loved person in my heart and so You know I was proud of all the time growing up. I just thought she was the cat's meow anything. She was just so beautiful in town. There's a little child she dancing. They thought you could be a dancer. She was took some at some sports and they let you could be a A. You know an athlete or runner. But you have all this incredible brilliant and and Actress did Meyer that so much I know. She was like me but better embarrassing to admit but her accomplishments I think I took his mind someway. I was proud of her but they're all her molly's parents separated when she was three. Her Dad moved away and the bond with her mom grew stronger but their relationship was complicated. Molly once told me about the day. Her mom got the divorce papers in the mail. Joan collapsed onto the ground and tears molly down and rubbed her back and told her it was going to be okay. She was by. She implies that a lot of the time she felt like the caretaker. Did you feel that way? All she was she was she didn't take care of me. Look wash the dishes or anything but emotionally but I know I was very needy and dependent on her and her love to feel good about myself and I say that I was in recovery program or is that not belong in here. No of course you can so. I was in recovery now. Thirty three years for a long time and Before that it was very hard for her and she didn't know what was going on but it was hard and I think it's very common that kids of you know when family when there's some kind of an addiction. The children become the parents often so your relationship with molly ups and downs and it was complicated. Tell us a little bit about it. It was complicated and we had a lot of close things close times all the time growing up a lot of things. I love you mommy. It's so great. You're here when she graduated from college. She couldn't move away which speaks for itself but now molly was back and she needed Jones support when we got tamales house. Everything was great after almost twenty years of knowing her it was actually the first time I had been demolished childhood home. It's a Manhattan Doorman building. Really Nice. The apartment was filled with antique furniture and expensive art. There was even a maid's quarters. It didn't line up with the molly. I knew who was a struggling artist. The woman who helped her now ex husband with his home-based audiovisual business and when she left used her savings for a deposit on a small apartment that she decorated with estate sale fines. But Molly seemed at home in New York. Too and Joan was super welcoming. She even gave us her bedroom and king bed. I mean thank God. It was a king because molly was so excited. She tossed and turned all night. I don't think I slept for more than two hours the morning of the show. We UBER DOWN TO A Beautiful Church on the lower east side where the event was taking place. It was packed hundreds of people. We could barely make our way through the crowds. Vip's designers fashion as does and hordes of Paparazzi. Remember the I do you know the front row is for people who are like Vogue and whatever women the biggest people your biggest supporters would be in the front and the only places. It was a little in the back behind the sanding up behind a whole bunch of people. I wasn't going to let myself be all the way back standing in the third row so I went up to the front. There was a little empty space in the very front of runway right and the left side. Whatever I put a chair there and I got my blood in. It was the first drop front. You know I wonder it'd be able to see her backstage. Most of the models had already arrived. They were chatting and trying on bras and underwear corsets and skirts. I was blown away by how different everyone lucked. The women were all ages from twenty s to their fifties black white Asian Hispanic artists activists. Mothers students every one of them was dealing with breast cancer. It was amazing and moving to see them all together for this event. But Molly looked sort of shell shocked like my twelve year old stepdaughter. When I dropped her off at Middle School for the first time when I nudged molly and smiled. She looked down from there. It was a roller coaster. Like this molly. I'd never met before one minute. She'd be laughing and the next pensive and sad as the women lined up to walk out on stage. I took a video panning across this incredible group. They're all animated and talking. When I landed on Molly I stopped short. Her arms were folded is starting around and she'd shrunk down into herself. She looked so scared to put down the camera and hugged her until the stage manager signal. Showtime Molly gave me a weak smile and I actually wondered if she was going to be able to do this and pull out of whatever was going on. Molly was number thirteen. Pretty much right in the middle of the lineup. Joan and I watched the first model strutted past many of them were topless so fierce and display their scars and they were all so confident. The owned their bodies and the runway and everyone.

"Education and incarceration and all of those issues of poverty. I support TNT. Not as a leader of any group but because it might lift a hundred hundred Hawaiian scholars every year for the next ten years. That's a hundred Hawaiian families. That's an opportunity that can't be missed if TNT is not built what then must we do. We are the nine the future to anyone who it does not think and act like a certain group or segment of our committee. And that's just not fair. That's that that's against Hawaiian values one of which is Kinda Kinda is to share equally. I I celebrate gala and and Hanks right to worship portion in the in the way they feel is correct but that belief cannot be used in the die. Anybody else's that's where I draw the line. Respect from onto Kayla is consistent with modern astronomy in James. How do you feel about the the current agreement? Now where it's a halt till Pretty much till the end of February pretty much the same as I felt about this process so far the truth is it's not about accommodation or compromise the truth is this about delay. The primary strategy of any protests against TNT is to delay if you delay long enough You deny the projects and so even after litigating this for a decade and losing Supreme Bring Court level. We're still using the same arguments. When Europeans were afraid to leave the side of the land we navigate it with the stars? You can draw direct line line between Hawaiian Star allegation PMT In James Anything else you feel is missing in this conversation. Go ahead yes but those are the point and you got about a minute. Sorry about that time. Stick and go ahead sure it's PMT water gone tomorrow. Then we would have denied a enormous segment of our community. I was on a panel with Tyler cool panel. Trent coupon means excellence or proper. Or right and he's astrophysicist. Who is in a New Mexico because he doesn't have the opportunity here Kinda Silva who was in Ohio and would like to come back and practice My Lundy Neil who is in Arizona would like to come come home There are many Hawaiian voices who celebrate and practice astrophysics six and there are no left Hawaiian anyone else in our community. Follow and think too as well James I got one more many before we have to wrap things up. I'm GonNa go to our first guest killed up shooter on the line. Any final thoughts. Yeah I just wanted to point out with James Discussing. I appreciate his old but I just wanted to say that the Supreme Court fell down on on the degrade degrade Asian principle which is equivalent to sort of the rape current principal that because the mountain is already destroyed we can destroy more and that position has been rejected by Richardson. Schools Law needlepointing clinic and they've put out a primer on the very intricate problems of of that Supreme Court case. It's an anomaly. And it didn't actually take into account all of the things that we said. It basically basically just admitted that the mountain is already bad so we can do it again. The woman was raped so raping. Her again won't credit. So I I have a problem with the Supreme Court decision and when all three branches of government fail in democracy the people unless rise up and that is what they're doing and they're doing it in a couple of Aloha which helps science and all of bring back our humanity. That's what's the point in. That sound means we do need to wrap it up. Thank you to everybody for sharing. Your thoughts We scratched on the surface of this. There's more to be said the FBI WANNA share some thoughts right. Now go ahead and reach out. You can always email us poster on our website native America calling dot com. which by the way is where you can and find an archive copy of what you heard? Today thanks again to everybody. We heard from India our Samuel Wilder King the second. Kill Ya. Sudha Hank Ferguson and James Molly all okay ACA Stone Junior. Henderson said the part of the problem was the state's fiscal crisis from nineteen eighty nine to nineteen ninety two and a lack of control over the budget okay so he's now saying his hands were tied he don't have enough money to do training it was it was too difficult the late eighties and early nineties for times of financial hardship in a financial crisis in a fiscal crisis for Commonwealth we were not allowed to purchase cruisers somehow that matters there were no additional personnel hired there was an employee furlough program instituted in out of state travel was forbidden except for criminal renditions which course all heads nothing to do with whatever whatever you know the air the air wing because of the tight budgets though he says in nineteen ninety one although the air wing asked for more training oh my god so they asked for more training thirteen times in just one year nineteen ninety one they ask for training thirteen times she says Christ get in one year they ask for more training thirty nine that's insane only three of those requests were approved he said Henderson added that in the last four years as the fiscal situation has improved nine of ten requests for treating were approved well that's Henderson said he had not been warned of impending safety problem certainly on going requests for more training is not any sort of warning at all Henderson said he had not been warned of impending safety problems before the crash and would have responded if he had I'm sorry that's the biggest load of B. S. I've ever heard see police association of Massachusetts president John D. McLean has accused Henderson of failing to provide the training because of grievances filed by some of the plot some sorry by some of the pilots see that now are getting to the real reason for all this right basically the pilots filed some sort of grievance against the cardinal and in response he said you need more training do you sleep here you're worried us at sure I'll get right on that after you filed a grievance against me anyway I Anderson resented the implication if that I would've allowed any on safe operation buyer pilots through neglect oversight or vindictiveness snap Daddy is I resent that that would not have happened in any sort of work force at all Henderson also defended himself against the charge he failed to turn over to NTSB investigators detail where the air wing pilot mammals requesting more training I said in the beginning I wanted everything open and if they had requested it I'm sorry this is not all some of the biggest load be yes so they had specifically asked for these memos that they had no way of knowing about then they would have had them good one Henderson that is absolutely right this is if they had just asked for all of these pilot memos requesting training by the way eight only the ones that were between the years of X. Y. Z. ward I am absolutely handed them right over so if they could of and all the one starting with you know with the with the letters Mister am are you then I would absolutely ended them over but you know they didn't ask for that they did not ask for that particular year so what am I supposed to do you know they didn't make the request I can't read their minds anyway Anderson said I don't know of any request after the three fifteen press conference McLean characterize the crash as and quote unfortunate incident the came on Henderson's watch interesting that's the that's the union guy who says that this was an unfortunate incident that came on Henderson's watch I have no desire to see the colonel resigned so this guy sort of walking a tight rope he's indicating definitely that that this is very interesting so he's indicating that it was definitely retaliation because these pilots had filed grievances against the colonel but he's also saying that he doesn't want the colonel to resign system just a very interesting tight rope for this union guy to be walking alright we got another follow up is a mean one Kathleen o'toole is managed really to avoid most of the hell fire that is calm because of this report I even know really the Buck stops with her AT and finally the governor Z. as a public safety secretary is somehow totally avoided by any sort of any sort of fat Richard retaliation any sort of blow back from this really serious crash and meanwhile we find out that she's actually collecting two paychecks this is in January of ninety six an arrangement that state officials insist is completely proper I'm sure they do state public safety secretary Kathleen tools collecting in ninety eight thousand two hundred thank you ninety eight two hundred thousand dollar salary as a state police officer instead of the seventy thousand dollars allotted for the job she actually performed so somehow she's still I'm so forgive me she's not collecting two salaries she instead of just taking the salary for the public safety secretary she decides she'll take the job it should keep collecting the higher salary I thought that she had as a state police officer the arrangement also allows tool to qualify for a generous pension seventy five percent of our salary given to state police officers retiring after twenty five years of service in addition it puts tool who retains her former rank as liter optician ing awesome of her up one hundred percent free Austin Herald radio three dogs American dog in a police dog in a Russian dog they're all having to visit some local officials to officially break ground on the construction of the new department of transportation research center it's called the John Paul be transportation center system center and you're right it's in Cambridge it was a great event we had a packed house this is a state of the art facility that's gonna mark a new chapter in the both B. centers all work and doing research and analysis of America's you know future transportation needs and obviously Cambridge is one of the nation's top leading innovation hogs and poultry is right located there and so it was really exciting when we're going to see great things come from the speech that rob research center loosely yes it's a Mecca of innovation with all the top you know so many of the top colleges and and universities here and all the experts you have on staff there that are making great strides toward improving our overall a transportation challenges tell us what what they're working on now that you find most exciting well you know the Bobby center is always focused on safety and how innovation and technology can help further safety so it's worked to reduce like up grade in a way grade crossing accidents improve vehicle safety so they've got dummies and that actually go into these cars vehicles and then they text kinda like crash them see what the impact is and how the car reacts and and how they can prevent it in the future and they also are do a lot of research on managing air space and what we really you know was the one that conducted the first federal studies of the automated fare collection system so if anyone who's listening uses their smartphones to pay for their transit fare they've got it thank the bowl be center experts right we're the ones who were thinking way way ahead back in nineteen "The time and it doesn't matter if it's a privately held company or if it's whatever eat you hand over all the information basically to these federal investigators and because their job is to review what happened and and figure out where the blame is and also trying to figure out how to prevent this the idea that that state police just didn't comply not surprising but it is outrageous I. E. so we asked we asked that question they asked them just like who is the head of this who's the guy in charge of the helicopters and they just never told yesterday responding to a reporter's question a state police spokesman said that detective lieutenant Roberts self who is air wing commander at the time of the accident still heads the unit so indeed they confirm that the same guy who was heading up the unit when the crash happened I continued to head up the union itself the follow from this like explosive bomb shell national transportation safety review board report is that colonel Henderson not looking so good and he's at now this is like the next day story so fifteen of December is when the report on this review that came out the federal review and then the sixteenth of December of course the next day story is getting now the somebody said that somebody's got to be fired and it should be the head of the police basically we've got the the push back from the head of the state police state police colonel Charles Henderson denied yesterday that lack of sufficient training contributed to the tragic February second twenty second crash of a helicopter that killed two troopers and two civilians in his first public comments since the release of a federal report condemning the state police for inadequate pilot training and poor management Henderson insisted the pilots were certified to fly and had periodic training there's been a lot of re training going on no yeah they were lousy with retraining happen all the time so much so that the pilots asked him if they could have more training that was how much training what's happening he said it's an ongoing as they fly that's part of their so simply simply taking to the air is part of their training so why are they complaining I mean come on it's right there you know went crazy maneuvers they don't need to know that certainly they're never going to come in to any sort of situation where they'll need those maneuvers certainly not when their plane spotters out and they're heading towards the Cambridge you know boat house and in a specific occurrence in February twenty second anyway governor William weld once again course sharks is duty and says he will not make a decision as to whether to axe the head of the state police governor weld said he won't decide whether to take any action until management review of the state police is completed within the next couple of weeks and this is the deal course ease known colonel Henderson for a long time he has my complete confidence that's the quote from wild here's my complete confidence how can you possibly say that this didn't feds just basically said that they were totally stonewalling they were asked a bunch of times for training and they were totally shirked yeah and I mean the more you learn about this carnal the more retaliatory he is you realize he's just he's the only reason that people aren't getting things that actually contributes to not only that the trooper safety but the safety of the general public right to to civilians died in this thing because this guy had a grudge basically Daddy is the take away is so why weld is decided that he's got his complete confidence is anybody's guess I don't know war I don't know what the story is between the two of them but anyway B. as is complete confidence Henderson was reacting to a report released Tuesday by the national transportation safety were blasting see please basically the national transportation safety where we just went through this but failure to train pilots adequately led in part to the February twenty second crash the killed troopers James Molly on now Ian and Paul Perry according to passengers third T. along with sorry passengers are sticky budget okay so he's now saying his hands were tied he don't have enough money to do training it was it was too difficult the late eighties and early nineties were times financial hardship in a financial crisis in a fiscal crisis for Commonwealth we were not allowed to purchase cruisers somehow that matters there were no additional personnel hired there was an employee furlough program instituted in out of state travels for been except for criminal renditions which course all heads nothing to do with whatever whatever you know the air the air wing because of the tight budgets though he says in nineteen ninety one although the air wing asked for more training oh my god so they asked for more training thirteen times in just one year nineteen ninety one they ask for training thirteen times Jesus Christ that's the one year they ask for more training thirty nine that's insane only three of those requests were approved he said Henderson added that in the last four years as the fiscal situation has improved nine of ten requests for treating were approved well that's Henderson said he had not been warned of impending safety problem certainly on going requests for more training is not any sort of warning at all Henderson said he had not been warned of impending safety problems before the crash and would have responded if he had I'm sorry that's the biggest load of "Push back from the head of the state police state police colonel Charles Henderson denied yesterday that lack of sufficient training contributed to the tragic February second twenty second crash of a helicopter that killed two troopers and two civilians in his first public comments since the release of a federal report condemning the state police for inadequate pilot training and poor management Henderson insisted the pilots were certified to fly in had periodic training there's been a lot of re training going on yeah they were lousy with retraining happen all the time so much so that the pilots asked him if they could have more training that was how much training what's happening he said it's an ongoing as they fly that's part of their so simply simply taking to the air is part of their training so why are they complaining I mean come on it's right there you know went crazy maneuvers they don't need to know that certainly they're never going to come in to any sort of situation where they'll need those maneuvers certainly not when their plane spotters out and they're heading towards the Cambridge you know boat house and in a specific occurrence in February twenty second anyway governor William weld once again course sharks is duty and says he will not make a decision as to whether to axe the head of the state police governor weld said he won't decide whether to take any action until management review of the state police is completed within the next couple of weeks and this is the deal course ease known colonel Henderson for a long time he has my complete confidence that's the quote from wild here's my complete confidence. how can you possibly say that this didn't feds just basically said that they were totally stonewalling they were asked a bunch of times for training and they were totally shirked yeah and I mean the more you learn about this colonel the more retaliatory he is you realize he's just he's the only reason that people aren't getting things that actually contributes to not only that the trooper safety but the safety of the general public right to to civilians died in this thing because this guy had a grudge basically Daddy is the take away. is so why weld is decided that he's got his complete confidence is anybody's guess I don't know why I don't know what the story is between the two of them but anyway B. as is complete confidence Henderson was reacting to a report released Tuesday by the national transportation safety were blasting see please. basically the national transportation safety where we just went through this but failure to train pilots adequately led in part to the February twenty second crash the killed troopers James Molly on now he and Paul Perry according to passengers our third T. along with sorry passengers are sticky Howell and Michael McCarthy of eighteen T. Henderson said the part of the problem was the state's fiscal crisis from nineteen eighty nine to nineteen ninety two and a lack of control over the budget okay so he's now saying his hands were tied he don't have enough money to do training it was it was too difficult the late eighties and early nineties for times of financial hardship in a financial crisis in a fiscal crisis for Commonwealth we were not allowed to purchase cruisers somehow that matters there were no additional personnel hired there was an employee furlough program instituted in out of state travel was forbidden except for criminal renditions which course all heads nothing to do with whatever whatever you know the air the air wing because of the tight budgets though he says in nineteen ninety one although the air wing asked for more training. oh my god so they asked for more training thirteen times. in. just one year nineteen ninety one they ask for training thirteen times she says Christ. get in one year they ask for more training thirty nine that's insane only three of those requests were approved he said Henderson added that in the last four years as the fiscal situation has improved nine of ten requests for treating were approved well that's. "Pretty sure Kathleen tools once again been tapped now to study the Massachusetts state police she's so lots of studies both weld in Baker can attest anyway I want this is well. considered this tragedy and the paper trail in human responsibility versus technical responsibility well said he said it was quote too soon to tell whether any heads should roll. is there are eight goalie out whose agency issued a highly critical report on the Cambridge boat house crash earlier this week said he was shocked to learn about the memos from state police air wing pilots to superior officers the please for more training including one authored by one of the crash victims how in scene is that by the way so the guy one of the guys who died in the crash had been saying listen we don't have enough training to drive these helicopters ET who knows when we're going to have to suddenly faced some sort of really bad situation and we're going to conduct some maneuvers that we just haven't been trained for and this was the result this guy the very guy who complained about this to hires op ended up dying because that's exactly what happened. the pleas for training including one authored by one of the crash victims were not disclosed so was the other thing was that. just now forgot to sort of let the NTSB know about the fact that this had been something that that people complained about before it is absolutely outrageous that they should somehow shield these memos from our investigation said go away heads should roll in the wake of the disclosure of nothing that they Herald likes better by the way can a good heads should roll quote in the wake of the disclosure finger pointing appear to be the order of the day some of it directed it tool who rose from the state police management to become public safety secretary so that was the deal was it Kathleen o'toole was working with at the state police when this all happened. the end of a even though she was under Charles F. Henderson so he really did have the final say as to whether there should be additional training time ordered whether they should that should be paid for and it does sort of. here we'll see that he has a grudge against the the air wing in general and E. definitely he ends up getting a lot of the blame for this crash and I am I don't know that I would disagree with with the final result there he he seemed to have a garage and be. basically having on doing a lot of retribution to these folks so and so there was some grudges that were being settled with with the air wing and this colonel anyway however I mean the box in the end it lies with the public safety secretary she became trucks and Justin's boss and you knew about this she complained about herself she didn't do anything about it. anyway a she rose to become public safety secretary seven months before the fatal crash tool meanwhile appeared yesterday to be trying to put to place responsibility at the feet of colonel Charles of Henderson her former boss when she worked for Henderson tool authored a memo to Henderson urging more training for the pilots quote I know air wing sent several requests she said I endorsed them and sent them to the colonel somewhere tonight this other was approved she said that as a result of one memo the helicopter manufacturer sent a representative to train the pilots the following may my hope was that they would continue to get regular training from the manufacturer to the best of my knowledge that's the only training they had after the March ma'am up however tool conceded that after taking over secretary she never ordered the training continue. high ranking weld administration official said that the failure raises questions about how aggressively she is sought to prioritize public safety needs and see adequate funding for the by the way how much you wanna bet. think about this high ranking weld administration official whose provide is cool. okay so the high ranking welded ministration official. is casting Sirius shade at Kathleen o'toole you want to bet that it was somebody passed up for the job of public safety secretary who is only too happy now to question whether Kathleen o'toole has properly done her job this is the court again her failure raises questions about how aggressively she has sought to prioritize public safety needs all yes that is indeed what it does and seek adequate funding for them so there you go you can tell whoever this person is who is being quoted. probably I got past the for the job or is certainly has a grudge to bear but AT listened it does it does indeed raise questions it's got to be tough the person is basically suddenly seven months eight shown to oversee her own boss so that's going to be a tough position but I mean it is heard new responsibility to address this end guess what she can't say she didn't know about it she was one of the people complained. and it is very interesting because well we'll see how it all plays out in terms of in terms of how it impacts her how the scandal impacts her it goes on to say that the federal official expressed anger that there's been no change in the leadership of the air wing the same people who should be called on the carpet for this are still in charge a Google yeah this is the national transportation safety board member said state police even refused to divulge the name of the air wing commander that is that is an outrage like that is seriously ridiculous if the NTSB stir operate is to look it crashes say what the bleep happened whether they're privately run right I worked on when I worked at the settlement enterprise there's a Fitchburg airport and it's it definitely saw crushes like all the time and it doesn't matter if it's a privately held company or if it's whatever eat you hand over all the information basically to these federal investigators and because their job is to review what happened and and figure out where the blame is and also trying to figure out how to prevent this the idea that that state police just didn't comply not surprising but it is outrageous I. E. so we asked we asked that question they asked them just like who is the head of this who's the guy in charge of the helicopters and they just never told yesterday responding to a reporter's question a state police spokesman said that detective lieutenant Roberts self whose air wing commander at the time of the accident still heads the unit so indeed they confirm that the same guy who were was heading up the unit when. the crash happened I continued to head up the union itself the follow from this like explosive bomb shell national transportation safety review board report is that colonel Henderson not looking so good and he's at now. this is like the next day story so fifteen of December is when the report on this review that came out the federal review and then the sixteenth of December of course the next day story is getting now the somebody said that somebody's got to be fired and it should be the head of the police basically we've got the the push back from the head of the state police state police colonel Charles Henderson denied yesterday that lack of sufficient training contributed to the tragic February second twenty second crash of a helicopter that killed two troopers and two civilians in his first public comments since the release of a federal report condemning the state police for inadequate pilot training and poor management Henderson insisted the pilots were certified to fly in had periodic training there's been a lot of re training going on yeah they were lousy with retraining happen all the time so much so that the pilots asked him if they could have more training that was how much training what's happening he said it's an ongoing as they fly that's part of their so simply simply taking to the air is part of their training so why are they complaining I mean come on it's right there you know went crazy maneuvers they don't need to know that certainly they're never going to come in to any sort of situation where they'll need those maneuvers certainly not when their plane spotters out and they're heading towards the Cambridge you know boat house and in a specific occurrence in February twenty second anyway governor William weld once again course sharks is duty and says he will not make a decision as to whether to axe the head of the state police governor weld said he won't decide whether to take any action until management review of the state police is completed within the next couple of weeks and this is the deal course ease known colonel Henderson for a long time he has my complete confidence that's the quote from wild here's my complete confidence. how can you possibly say that this didn't feds just basically said that they were totally stonewalling they were asked a bunch of times for training and they were totally shirked yeah and I mean the more you learn about this colonel the more retaliatory he is you realize he's just he's the only reason that people aren't getting things that actually contributes to not only that the trooper safety but the safety of the general public right to to civilians died in this thing because this guy had a grudge basically Daddy is the take away. is so why weld is decided that he's got his complete confidence is anybody's guess I don't know why I don't know what the story is between the two of them but anyway B. as is complete confidence Henderson was reacting to a report released Tuesday by the national transportation safety were blasting see please. basically the national transportation safety where we just went through this but failure to train pilots adequately led in part to the February twenty second crash the killed troopers James Molly on now he and Paul Perry according to passengers our third T. along with sorry passengers are city how old and Michael McCarthy of eighteen T. Henderson said he had not been warned of impending safety problem certainly on going requests for more training is not any sort of warning at all Henderson said he had not been warned of impending safety problems before the crash and would have responded if he had I'm sorry that's the biggest load of B. S. I've ever heard see police association of Massachusetts president John D. McLean has accused Henderson of failing to provide the training because of grievances filed by some of the plot some sorry by some of the pilots see that now are getting to the real reason for all this right basically the pilots filed some sort of grievance against the cardinal and in response he said you need more training do you sleep here you're worried us at shore I'll get right on that after you.

"Crushes like all the time and it doesn't matter if it's a privately held company or if it's whatever eat you hand over all the information basically to these federal investigators and because their job is to review what happened and and figure out where the blame is and also trying to figure out how to prevent this the idea that that state police just didn't comply not surprising but it is outrageous I. Kathleen o'toole is. managed really to avoid most of the hell fire that is calm because of this report I even know really the Buck stops with her AT and finally the governor Z. as a public safety secretary is somehow totally avoided by any sort of any sort of fat Richard retaliation any sort of blow back from this really serious crash. and meanwhile we find out that she's actually collecting two paychecks this is in January of ninety six an arrangement that state officials insist is completely proper I'm sure they do state public safety secretary Kathleen tools collecting in ninety eight thousand two hundred thank you ninety eight two hundred thousand dollar salary as a state police officer instead of the seventy thousand dollars allotted for the job she actually performed so somehow she's still I'm so forgive me she's not collecting two salaries she instead of just taking the salary for the public safety secretary she. decides she'll take the job it should keep collecting the higher salary I thought that she had as a state police officer. the arrangement also allows tool to qualify for a generous pension seventy five percent of our salary given to state police officers retiring after twenty five years of service in addition it puts tool who retains her former rank is lieutenant colonel in the awkward position of being a boss of her own box colonel Charles F. Henderson state police supervisor Charles macdonald o'toole spokesman said her dual appointment is above board yes I'm sure it is the secretary disclose this information publicly it was publicly reported at the time of her appointment he said blurring the chain of command happens at high levels in government all the time yes said the governor William weld deputy chief legal counsel a violation of the state ethics law was avoided because weld chief legal counsel bracket Denniston concluded in tools appointment letter that she could hold both close but the mange arrangement could prove difficult for tool in Henderson are at all just last month they sparred over who is responsible for lack of training at the state police pilots for fatal helicopter crash February twenty second accident killed two state police troopers to civilian passengers yeah yeah yada outgoing public safety commissioner William Baker charged tool was unfairly pointing the finger at Henderson over the tragedy by the way there is this there is this this guy William Baker and suppress dining because he's outraged by dat Henderson is taking the fall for all this search sort of a side note but it is interesting although the review is not geared towards assessing Henderson leadership directly will focus on whether the agency can adapt to a reorganization with Henderson at the helm. and there's also widespread view among state troopers that tools angling to take over Henderson's job and this is the underlying thing right just like the underlying thing with Henderson was that he was pissed at this air wing for you know filing grievances the underlying thing with tool is that really she's your wants to become head of the state police that she doesn't care about this public safety secretary business that all along and this is why she kept old state police job intercessory is because she wants to have Henderson's job. then around the same time basically Henderson is sued by by somebody who an officer complains about being shot at during a training office exercise I think this is basically yet another incident of Henderson totally having a grievance basically retaliating when somebody. it has an issue with him the allegations involving Henderson surface as his opponents continue to mount a campaign that his supporters say is aimed at getting him relieved of command so basically you know this huge report drops right it says that Henderson is at fault for this really this deadly crash then this sergeant goes ahead any suse Henderson so it's sort of this drum beat going on where they're all they're trying to take down the steep place colonel last week the national transportation safety board accused us day please management of failing to provide pilot training yeah yeah the yada in the wake of their reports the pilots accuse Henderson of repeatedly ignoring their request for additional training yeah yeah yeah that controversy is pitted Henderson against public safer tears occur secretary Kathleen tool who said she sided with the pilots in RG Henderson to approve more training Henderson supporters say that tool and her allies are trying to make Henderson the scapegoat for the fatal accident. yada yada yada they're basically indicating that that the study that tool is doing is just a night is a vehicle for justifying Henderson's eventual ouster. well he said he will make no decision on a possible discipline or reassignments of Henderson his command staff until he sees the study. yah yah yada. excuse me on. I'm trying to find the. November fourteenth the idea yeah. forgive me I'm trying to find where it says he's facing retaliation but does the general just with this is that there's this drumbeat that they're trying to create once again basically weld says now differ I'll defer my judgment on this there's a globe story that has some more insight into. the political sort of the political heat that that. earn on Henderson is facing the lawyer for the family one of the state police pilots killed on February twenty second blasted suggestions by some that the pilots and their two passengers could have survived the crash had they receive more training well that's interesting so the people who are actually. passed away who had family members pass away said that more training could not have prevented us that's sort of interesting this is become a political football seven that I Gunter Kylie the lawyer for Carol Perry whose husband died in the crash she is sue the manufacturer of the helicopter that's why in order to do an effective on a rotation you need to give can height yeah yeah yeah the controversy is clearly making life uncomfortable for Henderson several of his friends said they wished he would publicly defend himself Middlesex district attorney Tom Reilly whose office investigate the crash said there's been a lot of finger pointing with respect to the.

"Well we'll see how it all plays out in terms of in terms of how it impacts her how the scandal impacts her it goes on to say that the federal official expressed anger that there's been no change in the leadership of the air wing the same people who should be called on the carpet for this are still in charge a Google yeah this is the national transportation safety board member said state police even refused to divulge the name of the air wing commander that is that is an outrage like that is seriously ridiculous if the NTSB stir operate is to look it crashes say what the bleep happened whether they're privately run right I worked on when I worked at the settlement enterprise there's a Fitchburg airport and it's it definitely saw crushes like all the time and it doesn't matter if it's a privately held company or if it's whatever eat you hand over all the information basically to these federal investigators and because their job is to review what happened and and figure out where the blame is and also trying to figure out how to prevent this the idea that that state police just didn't comply not surprising but it is outrageous I. E. so we asked we asked that question they asked them just like who is the head of this who's the guy in charge of the helicopters and they just never told yesterday responding to a reporter's question a state police spokesman said that detective lieutenant Roberts self who is air wing commander at the time of the accident still heads the unit so indeed they confirm that the same guy who were was heading up the unit when. crash happened I continued to head up the union itself the follow from this like explosive bomb shell national transportation safety review board report is that colonel Henderson not looking so good and he's at now. this is like the next day story so fifteen of December is when the report on this review that came out the federal review and then the sixteenth of December of course the next day story is getting now the somebody said that somebody's got to be fired and it should be the head of the police basically we've got the the push back from the head of the state police state police colonel Charles Henderson denied yesterday that lack of sufficient training contributed to the tragic February second twenty second crash of a helicopter that killed two troopers and two civilians in his first public comments since the release of a federal report condemning the state police for inadequate pilot training and poor management Henderson insisted the pilots were certified to fly and had periodic training there's been a lot of re training going on no yeah they were lousy with retraining happen all the time. so much so that the pilots asked him if they could have more training that was how much training what's happening he said it's an ongoing as they fly that's part of their so simply simply taking to the air is part of their training so why are they complaining I mean come on it's right there you know went crazy maneuvers they don't need to know that certainly they're never going to come in to any sort of situation where they'll need those maneuvers certainly not when their plane spotters out and they're heading towards the Cambridge you know boat house and in a specific occurrence in February twenty second anyway governor William weld once again course sharks is duty and says he will not make a decision as to whether to axe the head of the state police governor weld said he won't decide whether to take any action until management review of the state police is completed within the next couple of weeks and this is the deal course ease known colonel Henderson for a long time he has my complete confidence that's the quote from wild here's my complete confidence. how can you possibly say that this didn't feds just basically said that they were totally stonewalling they were asked a bunch of times for training and they were totally shirked yeah and I mean the more you learn about this colonel the more retaliatory he is you realize he's just he's the only reason that people are getting things that actually contributes to not only that the trooper safety but the safety of the general public right to to civilians died in this thing because this guy had a grudge basically Daddy is the take away. is so why weld is decided that he's got his complete confidence is anybody's guess I don't know why I don't know what the story is between the two of them but anyway B. as is complete confidence Henderson was "Board report is that colonel Henderson not looking so good and he's at now. this is like the next day story so fifteen of December is when the report on this review that came out the federal review and then the sixteenth of December of course the next day story is getting now the somebody said that somebody's got to be fired and it should be the head of the police basically we've got the the push back from the head of the state police state police colonel Charles Henderson denied yesterday that lack of sufficient training contributed to the tragic February second twenty second crash of a helicopter that killed two troopers and two civilians in his first public comments since the release of a federal report condemning the state police for inadequate pilot training and poor management Henderson insisted the pilots were certified to fly and had periodic training there's been a lot of re training going on yeah they were lousy with retraining happen all the time. so much so that the pilots asked him if they could have more training that was how much training what's happening he said it's an ongoing as they fly that's part of their so simply simply taking to the air is part of their training so why are they complaining I mean come on it's right there you know went crazy maneuvers they don't need to know that certainly they're never going to come in to any sort of situation where they'll need those maneuvers certainly not when their plane spotters out and they're heading towards the Cambridge you know boat house and in a specific occurrence in February twenty second anyway governor William weld once again course sharks is duty and says he will not make a decision as to whether to axe the head of the state police governor weld said he won't decide whether to take any action until management review of the state police is completed within the next couple of weeks and this is the deal course ease known colonel Henderson for a long time he has my complete confidence that's the quote from wild here's my complete confidence. how can you possibly say that this didn't feds just basically said that they were totally stonewalling they were asked a bunch of times for training and they were totally shirked yeah and I mean the more you learn about this colonel the more retaliatory he is you realize he's just he's the only reason that people aren't getting things that actually contributes to not only that the trooper safety but the safety of the general public right to to civilians died in this thing because this guy had a grudge basically Daddy is the take away. is so why weld is decided that he's got his complete confidence is anybody's guess I don't know why I don't know what the story is between the two of them but anyway B. as is complete confidence Henderson was reacting to a report released Tuesday by the national transportation safety were blasting seat please. basically the national transportation safety where we just went through this but failure to train pilots adequately led in part to the February twenty second crash the killed troopers James Molly on now Ian and Paul Perry according to passengers our third T. along with sorry passengers are sticky Howell and Michael McCarthy of eighteen antique Henderson said the part of the problem was the state's fiscal crisis from nineteen eighty nine to nineteen ninety two and a lack of control over the budget okay so he's now saying his hands were tied he don't have enough money to do training it was it was too difficult the late eighties and early nineties for times of financial hardship in a financial crisis in a fiscal crisis for Commonwealth we were not allowed to purchase cruisers somehow that matters there were no additional personnel hired there was an employee furlough program instituted in out of state travel was forbidden except for criminal renditions which course all heads nothing to do with whatever whatever you know the air the air wing because of the tight budgets though he says in nineteen ninety one although the air wing asked for more training. oh my god so they asked for more training thirteen times. in. just one year nineteen ninety one they ask for training thirteen times she says Christ. get in one year they ask for more training thirty nine that's insane only three of those requests were approved he said Henderson added that in the last four years as the fiscal situation has improved nine of ten requests for treating were approved well that's. Henderson said he had not been warned of impending safety problem certainly on going requests for more training is not any sort of warning at all Henderson said he had not been warned of impending safety problems before the crash and would have responded if he had I'm sorry that's the biggest load of B. S. I've ever heard see police association of Massachusetts president John D. maclean the queues Henderson of failing to provide the training because of grievances filed by some of the plot some sorry by some of the pilot's seat now are getting to the real reason for all this right basically the pilots filed some sort of grievance against the cardinal and in response he said you need more training do you sleep here you're worried about set sure I'll get right on that after you filed a grievance against me. anyway I Anderson resented the implication if that I would have allowed any on safe operation buyer pilots through neglect oversight or vindictiveness snap Daddy is I resent that that would not have happened in any sort of work force at all Henderson also defended himself against the charge he failed to turn over to NTSB investigators detail where the air wing pilot ma'am ox requesting more training I said in the beginning I wanted everything open and if they had requested it I'm sorry this is not all some of the biggest load be yes so they had specifically asked for these memos that they had no way of knowing about then they would have had them. good one Henderson that is absolutely right this is if they had just asked for all of these pilot memos. requesting training by the way eight only the ones that were between the years of X. Y. Z. ward I am absolutely handed them right over so if they could of and all the one starting with you know with the with the letters Mister am are you then I would absolutely ended them over but you know they didn't ask for that they did not ask for that particular year so what am I supposed to do you know they didn't make the request I can't read their minds. anyway Anderson said I don't know if any request after the three fifteen press conference McLean characterize the crash as and quote unfortunate incident the came on Henderson's watch. interesting that's the that's the union guy who says that this was an unfortunate incident that came on Henderson's watch. I have no desire to see the colonel resigned so this guy sort of walking a tight rope he's indicating definitely that that this is very interesting so he's indicating that it was definitely retaliation because these pilots had filed grievances against the colonel but he's also saying that he doesn't want the colonel to resign system. just a very interesting tight rope for this union guy to be walking alright we got another follow up is a mean one. Kathleen o'toole is. managed really to avoid most of the hell fire that is calm because of this report I even know really the Buck stops with her AT and finally the governor Z. as a public safety secretary is somehow totally avoided by any sort of any sort of fat. retaliation any sort of blow back from this really serious crash. and meanwhile we find out that she's actually collecting two paychecks this is in January of ninety six an arrangement that state officials insist is completely proper I'm sure they do state public safety secretary Kathleen tools collecting in ninety eight thousand two hundred thank you ninety eight two hundred thousand dollar salary as a state police officer instead of the seventy thousand dollars allotted for the job she actually performed so somehow she's still I'm so forgive me she's not collecting two salaries she instead of just taking the salary for the public safety secretary she. decides she'll take the job but she'll keep collecting the higher salary I thought that she had as a state police officer. the arrangement also allows tool to qualify for a generous pension seventy five percent of our salary given to state police officers retiring after twenty five years of service in addition it puts tool retains her former rank is lieutenant colonel in the awkward position of being a boss of her own box colonel Charles F. Henderson state police supervisor Charles macdonald o'toole spokesman said her tool appointment is above board yes I'm sure it is the secretary disclose this information publicly it was publicly reported at the time of her appointment he said blurring the chain of command happens at high levels in government all the time yes said the governor William weld deputy chief legal counsel a violation of the state ethics law was avoided because weld chief legal counsel bracket Denniston concluded in tools appointment letter that she could hold both close but the mange arrangement could prove difficult for tool in Henderson are at all just last month they sparred over who was responsible for lack of training at the state police pilots for fatal helicopter crash February twenty second accident killed two state police troopers to civilian passengers yeah yeah yeah going public safety commissioner William Baker charged tool was unfairly pointing the finger at Henderson over the tragedy by the way there is this there is this this guy William Baker ends up resigning because he's outraged by dat Henderson is taking the fall for all this search sort of a side note but it is interesting although the review is not geared towards assessing Henderson leadership directly will focus on whether the agency can adapt to a reorganization with Henderson at the helm. and there's also widespread view among state troopers that tools angling to take over Henderson's job and this is the underlying thing right just like the underlying thing with Henderson was that he was pissed at this air wing for you know filing grievances the underlying thing with tool is that really she's your wants to become head of the state police that she doesn't care about this public safety secretary business that all along and this is why she kept old state police job intercessory is because she wants to have Henderson's job. then around the same time basically Henderson is sued by by somebody who an officer complains about being shot at during a training office exercise I think this is basically yet another incident of Henderson totally having a grievance I basically retaliating when somebody. it has an issue with him the allegations involving Henderson surface as his opponents continue to mount a campaign that his supporters say is aimed at getting him relieved of command so basically you know this huge report drops right it says that Henderson is at fault for this really this deadly crash then this sergeant goes ahead any suse Henderson so it's sort of this drum beat going on where they're all they're trying to take down on it the state police colonel last week the national transportation safety board accused us day please management of failing to provide pilot training yeah yeah the yada in the wake of their reports the pilots accuse Henderson of repeatedly ignoring their request for additional training yeah yeah yeah that controversy is pitted Henderson against public safer tears occur secretary Kathleen tool who said she sided with the pilots in RG Henderson to approve more training Henderson supporters say that tool and her allies are trying to make Henderson the scapegoat for the fatal accident. yada yada yada they're basically indicating that that the study that tool is doing is just a night is a vehicle for justifying Henderson's eventual ouster. well he said he will make no decision on a possible discipline or reassignments of Henderson his command staff until he sees the study. yah yada yada. excuse me on. I'm trying to find the. November fourteenth the idea yeah. forgive me I'm trying to find where it says he's facing retaliation but does the general just with this is that there's this drumbeat that they're trying to create once again basically world says now differ I'll defer my judgment on this there's a globe story that has some more insight into. the political sort of the political heat that that. known Henderson is facing the lawyer for the family one of the state police pilots killed on February twenty second blasted suggestions by some that the pilots and their two passengers could have survived the crash had they receive more training well that's interesting so the people who are actually. passed away her family members pass away said that more training could not have prevented us that's sort of interesting this is become a political football seven that I Gunter Kylie the lawyer for Carol Perry whose husband died in the crash she is sue the manufacturer of the helicopter that's why in order to do an effective on a rotation you need to give can height yeah yeah yeah the controversy is clearly making life uncomfortable for Henderson several of his friends said they wished he would publicly defend himself Middlesex district attorney Tom Reilly whose office investigate the crash said there's been a lot of finger pointing with respect to the helicopter crash and that's unfortunate I have a hard time believing Charlie Henderson would not take seriously any safety concern so guess who might be a friend of Charlie Henderson's I believe it would be Tom Riley who is.

"The time and it doesn't matter if it's a privately held company or if it's whatever eat you hand over all the information basically to these federal investigators and because their job is to review what happened and and figure out where the blame is and also trying to figure out how to prevent this. the idea that that state police just didn't comply not surprising but it is outrageous I. E. so we asked that we asked that question they asked them just like who is the head of this who's the guy in charge of these helicopters and they just never told yesterday responding to a reporter's question a state police spokesman said that detective lieutenant Roberts self whose air wing commander at the time of the accident still heads the unit so indeed they confirm that the same guy who was heading up the unit when. the crash happened I continued to head up the union itself the follow from this like explosive bomb shell national transportation safety review board report is that colonel Henderson not looking so good and he's at now. this is like the next day story still fifteen of December is when the report on this review that came out the federal review and then the sixteenth of December of course the next day story is getting now that somebody said that somebody's got to be fired and it should be the head of the police basically we've got the the push back from the head of the state police state police colonel Charles Henderson denied yesterday that lack of sufficient training contributed to the tragic February second twenty second crash of a helicopter that killed two troopers and two civilians in his first public comments since the release of a federal report condemning the state police for inadequate pilot training and poor management Henderson insisted the pilots were certified to fly and had periodic training there's been a lot of re training going on no yeah they were lousy with retraining happen all the time so much so that the pilots asked him if they could have more training that was how much training what's happening he said it's an ongoing as they fly that's part of their so simply simply taking to the air is part of their training so why are they complaining I mean come on it's right there you know went crazy maneuvers they don't need to know that certainly they're never going to come in to any sort of situation where they'll need those maneuvers certainly not when their plane spotters out and they're heading towards the Cambridge you know boat house and in a specific occurrence in February twenty second anyway eight two governor William weld once again of course sharks is duty and says he will not make a decision as to whether to axe the head of the state police governor weld said he won't decide whether to take any action until management review of the state police is completed within the next couple of weeks and this is the deal course ease known colonel Henderson for a long time he has my complete confidence that's the quote from wild here's my complete confidence. how can you possibly say that this the feds just basically said that they were totally stonewalling they were asked a bunch of times for training and they were totally shirked yeah and I mean the more you learn about this carnal the more retaliatory he is you realize he's just he's the only reason that people are getting things that actually contributes to not only that the trooper safety but the safety of the general public right to to civilians died in this thing because this guy had a grudge basically that is the take away. is so why weld is decided that he's got his complete confidence is anybody's guess I don't know why I don't know what the story is between the two of them but anyway he has complete confidence Henderson was reacting to a report released Tuesday by the national transportation safety were blasting state police. basically the national transportation safety where we just went through this but failure to train pilots adequately led in part to the February twenty second crash the killed troopers James Molly on now in the end Paul Parry according to passengers third T. along with sorry passengers are city Howell and Michael McCarthy of eighteen antique Henderson said the part of the problem was the state's fiscal crisis from nineteen eighty nine to nineteen ninety two and a lack of control over the budget okay so he's now saying his hands were tied he don't have enough money to do training it was it was too difficult the late eighties and early nineties were times financial hardship in a financial crisis in a fiscal crisis for Commonwealth we were not allowed to purchase cruisers somehow that matters there were no additional personnel hired there was an employee furlough program instituted in out of state travels for been except for criminal renditions which course all heads nothing to do with our. whatever whatever you know the air the air wing because of the tight budgets though he says in nineteen ninety one although the air wing asked for more training. oh my god so they asked for more training thirteen times. in. just one year nineteen ninety one they ask for "British entrepreneurs have had mixed results. But now other countries now want to take claim or steak acclaim in British straights. So this is really interesting, you know, yesterday, we had a big high street name Acadia announced it's going to go through various compulsory, voluntary redubbed, sort of administrations. I and we know there's been so many high streets stores. Clothes stores. Go pass teetering on the edge at the question. That is what do you do with the shop, sometimes the retailer owns the shop sometimes a property company does. Do you saying, big UK property companies take huge right now? Downs in the values of these of the shops. Now, this is really interesting very smart massive. I mean, massive US institutional fund manager could pimco now thinks the time is right to buy up retail parks, and they formed a joint venture with a sort of property company and they bought full ready. Three in Scotland one on the oil, I love why only sixty million quid investment. They're looking to grow this to about five hundred million pounds about half a billion and what they think is these shops. Now have valid now. They probably don't have value for retailers, but actually what they think is they could have value for changing into hotels changing into warehouses may be in for housing. And so this is what you're starting to see you saying the crash in values. You now staying a little Bookham fishing, little nibbling as some investors think there is value in these empty shops. Lewis caper. Thank you for joining us here with a globalist monocle twenty four. Finally, a couple of summers ago if he post is a piddle achieve in London, they were, discreet. But they let it can meet us to a huge shift in how they plan to use that data an experiment was tracking passengers MU movements using their wifi and it built up an astonishing picture of how we travel across our city. Well, that's experiment is not going to be transferred into a permanent scape into tennis mo-, James. Molly joins me in the studio. He's a psychology journalist and joins me in the studio and James. It was an amazing experiment. Wasn't that showed that people used so many different ways to get from eight obey? Yeah, it was really cool. So, well, it was it was the wifi beacons in train stations, picking up people's phones, like pass through the tip on that work. You didn't have to be connected to the WI fi fell on your phone with switched on. It will pick up your phone and sort of count youngsters thing. And yeah, this they could get from this were really incredible. They released some of the results under f I wa. The reports I some of them was said, there's like eighteen different routes to get from King's Cross toward salute inland. And, and everyone takes different things like you can find out that like full t percents people change Oxford circus, which is why the probably sensible thing today. Thirty percent change green. Punk. Cannot wait route, but people do it. But in no point one percent, people will change like four times even you didn't really need to go via Liverpool straight, and Bank and London bridge. And then finally, so. No said London regular. So they just love a cheap journey the purpose of it, though, wasn't just data collection. We'll get to security in a moment. But one of the joys was they were hoping to collect the data so that you would get a text message saying, don't go vibrate, gray. Poke it's really busy at the minute. So this was extensively intended to help us travelers wasn't it? Yeah. I think ultimately, how won't solve the problem of how can they squeeze even more capacity? Also, the cheap which is full to per se most of the time without having to build expensive, Nucci blinds. And that's the thing. So, yeah. If they can use this data to optimize people's routes, if they can say, have a thing in city map, progress maps, I went people my journeys it could say, oh, don't you don't want to go to King's Cross at five o'clock? It's really busy, this white and said that can help them fill up the base of the which quite busy and, and, and manage capacity of that way. I know. So if there's delays if a line goes down if something's suspended for a problem, they can then monitor what people are being redirected, too, and sort of figure out..

Thousand, eight hundred forty four tweets would use hashtag and that includes both tweets, and re tweets at this point the resign Watson hashtag became the number one trending topic in the UK and the. Twitter account squawk box claimed that resign Watson became the number. One trending topic globally although we haven't actually been able to independently, verify that and what do we know about the people who were tweeting retweeting type luckily James crunch the numbers on that to be taught one percent, of tweets people tweeting the most responsible for around twenty five percent of all of the tweets and re. Tweets on the hashtag that's about one hundred and twenty two different independent Twitter accounts if you take the. Top ten percent of people using the hashtag they're responsible, for sixty two percent of, the tweets around fifty. Five thousand four hundred seventy five tweets and re tweets all in all the top Twitter he might Is to hit the retrieve button all the tweet button six hundred thirteen times within the time I was monitoring. From the point we'll. Have to was created, until about eight thirty AM Monday morning now if you're familiar with Twitter, you're also be familiar with the phrase thoughts. Thoughts are software, controlled accounts that can automatically tweet and re tweet specific hashtags there are claims that the success of the resign Watson hashtag was down to the use of what account. I mean I can't speak to how how true this is obviously people who are opposed to Jeremy Corbyn very much a suggesting. That this boss behind the trending topic a no one organization I think called, securing democracy which says monitors various Russian-linked spots spotted a lot of activity on the hashtag I just think frankly there's. Not enough information to really tell which I guess tells us. Something about social media in general one thing that we can tell, you is that one of the accounts that tweeted and re tweeted resigned Watson more than four hundred times was.
