You knew something was going to happen and here it is. Both benches out there and they are really going on it now. But what made this interesting style wasn't so much the brawl as the debate it kicked up about sticky stuff. Yeah, if we go back to the mets cardinals game on Tuesday night, 5 batters got hit by pitches, and after that game mets catcher James McCann spoke up about his idea for a solution. As far as I'm concerned, put an on deck circle behind the mound, give him a pine tar egg and give him the sunscreen and the rosin and let them use that stick. That stuff has proven that it's not going to improve somebody's arsenal. It's going to give them grip. So basically McCann thinks that allowing pitchers to use the currently band sticky stuff would help solve this problem. The thing is, though, it actually doesn't appear that more players are getting hit by pitches this year. According to Sports Illustrated, the hit by pitch percentage is the lowest expenses 2018 and for what it's worth wild pitches this season are the lowest they've been since 2012, but you could maybe see why McCann feels that way about guys getting hit because for some reason mets players are getting hit a lot more than other teams this season. But what I do know is that Steve Cohen didn't give the Yankees a pre game tour of city field and say you can set your cheating cameras up there and there and there could be a nice clean path for achieving camera here. The mets would not facilitate that. If the egg is lost the same series to the Red Sox that they just lost in the mets I'd be apoplectic. That's how I know it's not a real rivalry. That was theater. That was really interesting and entertaining. And the mets are in our city and we're sharing a town and that's great. If Yankees had lost that crucial series to the Red Sox, they'd be throwing Chad green blowing two games in a row. Gary sage is for getting a tag, a guy coming to home plate, just non aggressively backing off and allowing a man to score the error fest that was the first game. Geo Rochelle in the field, glaber tours in the field. I'd be, you know, throwing I had actually put myself to sleep and then have dreams about throwing things around the room. But the mets, it's just like, that was a showcase series. That was a Major League Baseball showcase series. It doesn't happen often. It was very exciting. Yankees punched back on Saturday and Sunday, Lindor got the last laugh on Sunday. A rolled his chairman and Aaron judge somehow got the last laugh on Saturday. And yeah, I don't know if judge hurt himself and got dizzy banging into the wall on James McCann's triple. I don't know if it was the diving play.
