Just take over. Just let the kids take over and you don't get a higher draft. Pick them trades. Get some more draft. Picks in here and try to try to build that way. There's no reason to keep players here. That are on the final years of their contracts and most likely are not going to be here next year. You gotta get something for them. Sure and marcus may is going to be one of those guys. Well i think he's one of those guys. I think Any one of their. I guess you could say james crowder's one of those guys. Yeah you know the giants. That's an interesting one. You know what they're going to do at the at the deadline to give up. I think it kind of depends on what happens this week. Kansas city and say all right. They got what they selected to be the second overall pick in the draft in a young very very young Zach wilson. Hopefully he will be taking the place of sam darnold. Which is now the quarterback of the carolina panthers. So now it's either. This is a jet game here. This is a did. We make the right decision by going with the new kid or is Is sam going to teach the listen That he's got better should be patient. I don't know But the jets man. They made some moves this off. Season on top of picking up That top quarterback recruitment they still have a tevin coleman at ryan beck picked up corey davis receiver from From tennessee picked up lodge more in the draft. The top receiver. James crowder's Team keelan kohl's on the team You have the very tenacious offensive line at the ad that they tried to build up in order to really you know protect. the brand. New young quarterback was able to get a large tucker in this draft. Make themselves competitive on the defensive side. Quinn williams still on the defensive line holding down They picked up a few other pieces to help along the way now for the carolina panthers like they said like i said They acquire sam darnold from the jets. Okay and this is after. They came off their season with Not having too much success after cam. Newton departure so you know. I guess they're trying to mix it up a little bit. On top of them losing christian mccaffrey to injury last season. So they had a bit of a hiccup. they're hopelessly hoping to bounce back but som- donald Now is partner back up with riley anderson his former receivers when he was with the jets. He has dj more which is probably one of the better receivers that he's ever had to opportunity to work with so definitely more weapons way more weapons here so could day bail sam out. Could they give him the motion that is needed in order to you know really show some skill quite possibly This game here though. Like i said it's still just versus darnold. Let's be honest. it's just darnold. This has nothing to do with the young wilson sent undo decades has nothing to do with any of the people in the other players involved literally sam versus the jets organization. And i mean. I don't think they departed on terrible. Terms is just this got Go against your team. You gotta show your new team the loyalty you have to them as far as the other teams like you gotta show them that you made the right decision. You can win with the young kid. So i'm trying to see if i trust the skill of the carolina panthers or the dynamic of what the jets put together this off season. Who good. i'm not going not. It's tough for me now. Do think is going to be a medium game that high school wound at very low right there in the twenties. Maybe twenty one to twenty four. Would it be close i. Yeah yeah. I'll give them. They'll do out twenty one to twenty four and the The teen wins by field-goal tank. Heart look i said i'm doing the show. Then trying to make sense of how to process this game. Because we all had a lot. Invested in sam darnold sham and now we have a lot invested. Exact wilson another both on the field together and they're both under the age twenty four. It's just a lot. It's just a lot of to process. But i'm excited to see. Obviously has ac wilson looks in his first game. I'm excited to see corey davis and elisha more play together. They'll be starting james crowder's status up in the air after he contracted cova so it looks like more will be starting with Corey davis and keenan coal in three wide receiver sets and on the Carolina side of the ball matt rule. Then get a chance to have christian. Mccaffrey is a main part of his team last year. I think he's going to give the jets a lot of trouble in this game. I think if you drafted christian. Mccaffrey this season week. One is gonna make you feel real good. Because i see him going for one hundred and fifty plus total yards a couple touchdowns. I just don't know if there's anybody on the jets that can cover him. Cj moseley coming back from two years off not a great coverage in the first place. I there's going to be a lot of issues trying to stop christian mccaffrey so i think this'll be a pretty close game. I think the jets defense is why the panthers are going to win the jets. A lot of work to do on defense. This is i. I would think i would say the most traumatic and intriguing jets opener since the days of rex. Ryan i mean. I agree with that. Dan but there is optimism. You've got a good coaching. Staff than offense is gonna look completely different. Zach wilson looked as advertised in the preseason. There is one member of nfl. Media's staff that picked the panthers to make the playoffs and it is the person speaking right now. i think that the are being overlooked. They were juicy at times last year. They lost a ton of close one. Score games guys. I am not drunk not yet. I'm telling you this. Panthers team is going to be intriguing more than people expect but it does. You do have to see what darnold is because there's another scenario darnold. It's a total flop. Yeah how about. How about sam darnold. You don't spend the week lows just another game. I'm not really any more into it than any other game. It doesn't how about a little fire from sam darnold. He's not no he doesn't he doesn't play play with it. I'm just. i'm just sick of hearing quarterback. Say like that please. This team gave up on you. They gave you adam gates. They gave me no support if he's not furious at a lot of aspects of his jets career. Something's wrong here. he should want to so cal guy. He's a chill so rile up next the minnesota vikings at cincinnati bengals. Kind of like this game. Because i just want to see how joe borough looks in his first game back after the knee injury and i think minnesota who i think i picked them for the playoffs on. Nfl dot com. You're gonna wanna go to minnesota take care to cincinnati and take care of business here. Their offense was shaky in the preseason and in the summer and the practices according to those who follow the team. But you think they're gonna take care of business here. Greg i do but i think it'll be like an ugly game another one where you kind of like the low score because both teams i think are going to be able to get. After the quarterback the vikings offensive line might be worse than the bengals who i think. It's almost been overstated. How bad their line might be. But the like the vikings defensive line is going to be really good. My one little bengals point is watch out for this defense. They maybe it was just because they were playing the bengals offense but man. The reporters really believed they were taking a step forward. They've had some continuity. That could be a better defense than people think and so this. I'm not sure if. I wanna watch this game that much. I think it could be low and a little ugly. I don't know if i love their secondary verse. Justin jefferson and adams stealing. But we see. This'll be a better vikings team than a year ago. I wrote in the power rankings. At the vikings offense is built like a jenga tower. You need high level pro seasons level seasons from cousins from cook from feeling from jefferson. If you don't get those things or you get injuries look out the jacksonville. Jaguars at houston texans We all know. The texans are a mess right now. Tyrod taylor's quarterback They just traded their only quarterback cornerback of note to the saints. So this is going to be a team everybody's gonna stop on The spread the desert only. Has it at three points here. And i thought about locking up trevor lawrence in his debut but that's That's just not fun. Who wants to let locking the texans. I think the texans should be favored. This is one one team. That's on the road. I think if you look at roster spots twenty through fifty. The texans are probably a little more talented. I'm not into the texans. I just think like nfl teams. Aren't that different from top to bottom and these are to at the very bottom and i think there is a route here with the texans. How they gonna play as a lot of running lindsey loud david johnson of tyrod taylor and it's not gonna be fun. It's not going to be pretty but this is a coin. Flip at best. And i i would take the home team. Just because they're home you are. You are very low on jacksonville. Couldn't you also see the texans going to fifteen and getting their asses blown out sure but this is like if you look at their season kinda like the jaguars getting that week. One victory last year over the like isn't a home game against the jaguars. The easiest game on the texans schedule you know if you flip it around like this is a game that they absolutely can't win. They're not going to be overwhelmed. I don't think with you're right. But i look at jacksonville skilled players on offense and there's a lot to like there i i hate that. They lost travesty. But i mean they're they're wide. Receiver group is solid it. Trevor lawrence is advertised. And i thought you know his later. Preseason work was marvelous. That i think they can be a much better team than they were last year. They lost a lot of close games last year. They were not genuine. One in fifteen team in my book varies sites rabbit. Now that everybody's going to do that stack and they're going to jaguars stack to stacks. That are going to be really popular zack. Martin is on the reserve covert list. He's out for week. One's attitude toward dallas all pro guard and allow collins banged up and yes He practiced though he's looking like he's gonna play so the thursday night game at tampa bay tampa bay's run defense two years in a row. They've allowed the fewest fantasy points to running backs when they had via the vita healthy last year. "The waiver wire calm for a number of weeks like enticed every week. You're like guys. Do you understand what james crowder is doing here. Especially in pr like you know but in you always have to take camp records with a camp reports with a grain of salt. I'm telling you right now. But the allies you're more like high. Trade is out of control hype. Train is out of control. Train is moving fast right now. But you're right matthew and that. I'm not saying this is what i don't think that allies more guaranteed to fall into this bucket but every year i mean almost every team. There's like ten guys per roster they're like oh my god. This player looks amazing. Right i mean how. Many players are receiving positive buzz. Right now we're talking about it again. And i'm not trying to like earlier. We were talking like nikiel. Area has been legitimately one of the most housed about players at the patriots training camp. Who knows if that will amount to anything. So i think lies more a player. I i think we all kind of agree is really potentially useful in dynasty. Don't know that he's the kind of guy that a touchdown upside you just don't see. i mean. we talked about this. Mike clay for years on the podcast nonetheless. Lot receivers with a bunch of tied inequity. Right russia and equity. Excuse you just don't see a bunch of guys that are five foot eight diminutive in size going up and winning with fades in the red zone or something like that. So i actually think. It's corey davis said. I would believe it or not because first of all like it's laughable. How we don't. He's like we've talked about five thousand times and yet we can't just like get ready to accept. It's just a good solid football player right. Like not sure. He lived the fifth overall. Pick billing when he came out but just a good solid started out with some in he. He had a bad hamstring injury as rookie year. Like what he has to health issues. Right correct so i think. Corey davis is the jets player amongst pastors that. I'm most interested in rostering. Let me ask you another question. Though one of these players blows up this year and finish his top twenty fantasy wide receiver. Which one is it. Who's most likely to be the answer to that question. I'm going to go with cory. Cory davis okay. How about you. I was gonna say i think allies more like i think it depends what you need at the end of your draft. I said allies more. Just because i think the upside is there but there's also a wide range of outcomes. If you're telling me like i need to. I need sixteen team league in our war room league. It's probably davis because who's more likely to be usable on a week to week basis. It's definitely corey davis. He's got a higher floor than i think. Allies you're more. I just think. And maybe it's a ten percent chance or fifteen percent chance. But i think it's within the range of outcomes that allies you're more has just monster year this year. I think but like. I think there's a there's a chance i just think that if you're elijah more i don't know he's a deep threat player right. I don't know that he's like ten. Or twelve touchdown guy. I think it's possible that coordinated competing with james credit who's also really good player for snaps in the slot. Yeah and i think like if. You're corey davis any i. I am excited about all the bus. I'm not diminishing. I believe that he's been as i. Just think that. If one of these guys has a thousand receiving yards and nine touchdowns or ten touchdowns league corey davis doing that. Because he's come close to doing it. In the past the touchdown thing is is very fair. By the way you mentioned denzel mims and you're talking about camp buzz. The camp buzz on danzon mims is the opposite direction easy. He's he's behind keelan coal by most reports so the jets the jets actually have like not necessarily top end de have decent depth that wide receiver..

When i was there on monday and understanding that both sides are gonna come over to a bit of a compromise on both sides and feel like they won like zach. Wilson gets signing bonus. I think fifteen days out. He gets his twenty three million dollars. So you know he's good there and and they get the language that they want they they they get they get the offset language that they want like i said before only the jaguars in rams have that type of don't have that type of offset language in their contract and you'll both teams you know. They can go hug kiss and talk about how we knew. We wanted to get it done and found itis. You know the optics of what zach wilson had to do like. Why is he getting read. I brought you know you go get this done and you believe that you're going to get it done. Why are you still on la vacation man. I come on now. You should have been somewhere around here you know. I think pushed him over the top. Because i think the left side potentially can be maybe one the most physically dominating sides if if we're comparing tucker to quinton nelson We know that becton is from the old school right. He likes to clubber lang. You look in the camera. What are you predict pain greater. He's out there throwing the haymakers. You know he's gonna take the next step. He came together in tremendous shape. But now give you a guy that can get to the second level. Maybe off maybe fat. In some of these other guys they all competing for one open spine. I believe it's the right guard you know if you're gonna create a lot of competition that's what i love about this rosser. They created a lot of competition. No longer can guys come through those front doors and just assume that they have a spot. That's penciled you know pencil now a race but is not is not written down and you know so you have to say hey take tip your hat off to joe doug short period of time. He's been able to do that. they have to future. First round draft picks next year where they can continue to build this roster. Cj moseley looks tremendous. I think people forget for everything that you believe. They're fair warner is everything that you the david is. Cj mosey was. And i think him been pretty much not playing for opting out last year and what he showed he'll jet fans that one game that he played you know with the pick six sacks and all that stuff over right he he can be free at warner in this diff'rent you know. I think that they're gonna have a better season than most people anticipate the one thing i will say about this as a jets fan. They look like they finally know what they're doing for the first time in a while. And i know robert sal hasn't coached one game yet. I know zach wills and hasn't played one game yet but it seemed like it was a release especially your joe douglas. Because he was basically doing the orders of adam gates because adam gates have power and stroke and that organization. I'm got him his opportunity right so he had to. Even though he was the gm he really had the bow down to defeat of adam gates who thought he was bill belichick. He wasn't even charlie brown from that sample to summit up. He's the coordinator at the high school. And i think if seleny michigan right now. So oh really. Yeah that's how far he's fallen. I feel sorry. Still getting he was gonna check. I believe you know what had the same type of season if healthy. He'll much like Chase klay poo. He gives them a guy with a huge catch radius but a guy that can also stretch to fill and run deep so listen. The future is bright. I'm a little concerned with the cornerback. Position but markets main. I think they probably one of the best defense alliance you think about carl lawson. "All right and we're back here on the gsm see fantasy football podcast from the third segment of today's show. I'm going to be doing my player. Rankings of the players in the afc sobe starting from the bottom and then working my way up to the player that i think will be the best in that division so starting off the list at the bottom the very bottom. I have sony michelle now. I think this is kind of a maybe a little bit. Maybe he deserves to be a little bit higher. But i put him down at the bottom. I think more so. Because i think he has dealt with injuries. I mean this is a pretty good running back You know back when he was first drafted by the patriots. He was definitely a solid running back rb to at least i remember for one of my friends. He was doing well for them. But i don't know. I just feel like for him. He can't really make an impact on the team. You know. sometimes if you can't stay healthy but you know. I still think that you know deeper leagues. She'll definitely warrant. You know some looks and some people will definitely draft him. But i don't know. I feel like he's not going to be as good as People think he will be possibly I don't think a lot of people are going to expect them to like the world on fire but You know i. I think there's not a lot of stock for him. And i just feel like you know i i feel like damian. Harris is going to take over that running back role. I feel like that's going to happen. But we'll see then moving onto after that i would say kohl's beasley kobe's you'll be the next player on this list. You know definitely a really good slavi for this team. I feel like oh for him. He's going to be the third option on this team. I don't know why But i just feel like for him. He's another guy gets banged up a lot too and misses some time. But he's a good player. he's a good player. And i definitely think that he will make an impact on his team. But i don't think that in terms of fantasy he's going to put up a lot of numbers solid numbers so he's probably at the bottom as well. Same thing with kendrick born on this list. He's probably going to be the number two wide receiver on the team. Maybe the number three I don't really expect him to like the world on fire as well. I think it was definitely a much-needed signing by the patriots. I like i said i. I love what the patriots have done in the off season. I definitely think that you know they're going to be. They're going to be better this year. I think it. It's very easy to say that. And i feel like he's going to make an impact but i think in terms of fantasies not really going to make a huge impact so moving onto the next player on this list. I have Oh sorry oh yeah. I'm getting all mixed up. Denzel mims and you know i. I saw some flashes out of him last year You know the chargers game. I know he had. He had a really good game there. believe the ad. I want to say he had two touchdowns in that game. One hundred percent sure But that was joe flacco throwing the ball obviously. Now you got jack wilson. Coming in and zach. Wilson has got a huge arm. So denzil mems if he can stay healthy you know. I think he's gonna make a little bit more of an impact as to as opposed to some of these guys just because the jets don't have i think they do have the weakest receiving core out of all the teams in their division. So i think that's going to give him more opportunities but we'll have to say but yeah i don't expect him to be a guy that people are going to be jumping to get you know when it comes to fantasy but maybe in dynasty leagues but okay so then moving on to the next player on this is james white. I think really what makes him. Valuable is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. That's why i'd probably put him ahead of all these guys. But i don't expect him to make a huge impact either just because you know he's only used he's only used for really third down situations in passing situations. He is a good receiver. I can't argue. That won't in terms of him being running back. He's a good receiver but he's not like the focal point of this offense so i i think that that hurts him a little bit but i would put them ahead of these guys just because i feel like you can find some value with him and i think he can make an impact. You know if you have to maybe spot stardom a little bit. You know if you if you start them at the on the right week he can you know. Make an impact. But i think for the most part you know. It's he's probably not going to be that huge of an impact just because the patriots have so many running backs. And you know they're going to be you know they're really gonna be ryan the hot hand. So yeah that's right put lower. I actually have a larger more. I feel like with this guy. A lot of people talking about his ability to you know go deep and you know be that guy and i feel like for him. That puts them a little bit higher than some of these guys I think a lot of people particularly japan's are excited about this. Pick and i think him. Zach wilson develop a nice. Little chemistry developed. Some some chemistry there. You know they can They could find success but again i think he's not going to make a huge fantasy impact immediately. I think he'll be somewhat of a waiver. Wire pickup after that. I have james. Crowder crowder's actually an underrated player and fantasy. I feel like you know with the right quarterback he does well Obviously i don't think you'll be on the jets for a lot longer Maybe this is a guy that somebody might trade for at some point. "Community activists are calling on Governor Pritzker to declare a state of emergency over Chicago's gun violence. Speaking yesterday outside the Chicago Police Department headquarters, activist and former mayoral candidate Jamal Greene said gun violence is a public health crisis. We're asking for Governor J. B. Pritzker to understand that we are in a state of emergency, and if he does not step in thousands more will be shot this year. Green says Pritzker needs to step in because City leadership can't handle the situation. The request follows 1/4 of July weekend that saw at least 100 people shot in Chicago. Allegations of abuse had a nursing home on the North side. The family of James Crowder says he was abused in foster health and rehabilitation center. The Army veteran was found on the floor lying in feces and urine. They say he also had a gash on his head and his foot was bandage. Browder was transferred out of the facility and to end into a hospital earlier this week, and now a former employee is speaking out and net. Zegarra says the facility knew about issues at the facility and ignore them.
