"By running back, sit of the week. Is going to be James Connor versus the San Francisco forty-niners. So the Broncos defense might be good, but they aren't the number one ranked rush defense that is the forty-niners. They are allowing in fantasy points only 10.44 points per game to opposing running backs. That's all running back. It's not just the starting running back. So Conor did have a big game last week with two touchdowns. It probably is tough to set them just with the nature of the running back position, injuries, buys, and that, but I think this is a game to lower your expectations. And if you do have somebody better to definitely play them. We don't know, again, if Kyler Murray is going to be playing or not, which affects that offense as a whole, I know they did I think score what, 27 points last week with autumn, but maybe it doesn't. We'll see. I'm sitting in against the forty-niners. So James Connor is my sit. And last week, I said to sit down Singletary and the bills decided to run like crazy in the first half. He had a couple of touchdowns. Could have ended up a lot worse if they didn't just not run at all in the second half. So you only ended up with 16 points after scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter. Unreal. Yeah. Oh man. Get that bill's negative vibes out of here, man. That game was so hard to watch. I got sick. I'm talking about that game. All right. Last week, I said sit Brandon cooks. Which was a good call yet four catches for 37 yards and a 5 yard run, something like that. So we had like 8 fantasy points. This week, wide receiver 36 on the year, like I said, Jay's cool playful, his wide receiver 49. So I'm going a little low. Paris Campbell. Set yourself some Paris Campbell and throw in Chase claypool if you have them on the same team. This last three games with Matt Ryan, Harris Campbell's. He scored 1823 and 20. Where he's averaged about ten targets in those three games and caught a touchdown in every one of them. It sounds like I'm telling you why you should be starting him. But

"Reason Tony Pollard can make those big plays is because Ezekiel oled is grinding up the middle of the gut for three and a half yards, a couple of times. There's no way he scores 18 touchdowns again. Except for the fact that he absolutely could. People are people like it was so fluke. And I'm like, actually, look at cliff Kingsbury. Since cliff Kingsbury, last two years, under cliff Kingsbury, the Arizona Cardinals top four in the NFL in goal to go rushing attempts in red zone rushing attempts. Like this is a part of what he does. Last year, if you go back and look at my love hate from last year, I had James Connor as a love and one of the reasons I have been as well as I'm like, look, two years ago, freaking Kenyan Drake was actually tied for the NFL lead in goal to go carry. It's like, who's giving Kenyan Drake that many gold to go carries. It was cliff Kingsbury. That's just how he wants to operate his offense. And so now you've got to get a guy like James Connor, who, since he came to the NFL, has been one of the league leaders in terms of touchdown conversions. So he's got one of the highest percentage of conversion of touchdowns on goal to go carry since he came into the NFL. Now he's going to an offense that's going to be really good in scoring position office. Often and James Connor is really going to run the whole line. Of course, I didn't expect 18 touchdowns, but I expected a lot, a lot of touchdowns, right? Here's the stack point. I just looked it up. So last year, and for the 6 games that Edmunds missed, chase Edmonds visit is obviously now in Miami. He finishes a top ten running back for those 6 games. He had 15 rushing touchdowns tied for the second most 18 total touchdowns. Again, he has been one of the best guys in terms of goal to go situations. In the NFL since he came into the league. And so yeah, James Connor health is an issue I get it, but just drop Darrell Williams. He's going to be the bell cow running back for one of the best offenses in football. And he's being treated like, you know, whatever. He's being treated as a mid tier RV two, honestly. And people are scared to your point. There's going to be regression,

"Offer. All right, let's go on to the running backs. These guys, I mean, look, James Connor, James Connor, by the way, the greatest freedom sign of all time about four months ago. Back on the free agent market. So I don't know, maybe someone just gives him a big contract at this point, but James Connor, Leonard fournette, Rashad penny, sort of the big power runners. Sony Michelle, you could throw in there. Those guys are all interesting to me. If you want to get the back end of Melvin Gordon at this point, or if you want to Raheem mostert and see if he can stay healthy and maybe recapture that late 2019 magic. But I don't know if any of these guys are necessarily difference makers, but stylistically they fit what teams are looking for at this point. Well, certainly from a power standpoint, but if I'm, you know, I love the fact that Cordero Patterson and James White are on here and I think I'm going to expand on this at some point, but guess what, you know, every team is dropping 7. Guess who's getting the ball more often out of the backfield because you receivers aren't open. You're running back. Guess what you're going to need. You're running back to be able to make plays out of the backfield. Those are the only two guys in this class that I think can do that. And so you're going to need, I mean, it's going to be back to the way it was, right? The three down back is dead again. And you're going to need a power guy to get teams out of that too high shell kind of defense and you're going to need a finesse guy to be able to beat it when you're down a touchdown and 7 minutes left. In the game. And so I think this, I think this class presents kind of a fair sampling of both of those things..

I'm not starting james connor. I think this is This is chase edmund dolphin. You might start cristian kirk after that. Yeah i think you want all the pieces of this arizona offense that you get. I would even consider starting rondell more ex. Christian kirk is an easy wide receiver. Three in a three wide receiver league in a three wide receiver league. I'm starting christian kirk. If i got him. But i'm i mean i have them in one league and i'm not starting him as a flex or as my wide receiver. So in the one league christian kirk. I'm not starting him. All right holler atlanta and tampa bay. How are you feeling on this one. I don't want to start. "We a lot of dump offs by the way the offense coordinator is a former. Nfl running back. Who likes to do that. This is anthony lynn. Who was with the chargers for so many years. Who liked to use austin in this way and who who used a multiple running backs in buffalo when he was the coordinator and the head coach in buffalo. So i don't think look. This is obviously huge games for both guys. I don't know if they make a furious comeback every single week. No do i think both guys are usable enough. Both guys are used enough in the passing game and pbr formats that they're very viable a hundred percent jamal williams who was one of my favorite sleepers. Prison the preseason and yours well field. We talked about quite a bit. We're like this is a good running back. This is a good running back. Who got paid. And they're gonna use both of these guys swift is a special talent as well. So swift is a top fourteen fantasy running back. I think if not higher you know. And i'm where you can see the because i don't want we've already talked about this in the lions are in a great fantasy team about but when you look at their wide receivers in all honesty especially after that first game they have no ability to have that explosive deep play once they get down so the way that they do that. Is those little screen passes to hopkinson or the running backs or the short passes to be able to pick up chunks of yardage. I really don't think there's a single even with tara williams. I don't know if tyler williams's worth rostering based on who. I might want to pick up off of waivers this week. If i'm not look great yesterday. That's move forward. We got a bunch of stuff to try to get to hear the cardinals. Just please spanked titans yesterday. Column looked unbelievably at five total touchdowns fourth through the air one on the ground. He was unstoppable as was chandler jones. That was the story of the game. But as far as fantasy is concerned chase. Edmunds played eight more snaps. Forty two thirty two james connor. He has twelve carries does edmonds for sixty three yards plus four catches for forty three yards and this game played out basically exactly as we sort of forecasted coming into the season right chase. Edmunds has passing game upside. Yes four catches on four targets as i just mentioned. So he's like a low end arbutus slash high inflex play james connors touchdown affleck's by sixteen carries. That was more than chase. Edmunds fifty three yards. That was a little bit less than chase. Edmunds but zero touchdowns and zero targets tripe that. That's how this backfield might go. The it is. But i think just and what we talked in the in the in the during the draft process was connors. Probably the better value because connor was going five. Six sometimes seven rounds after chase edmunds. Much more of a split. Would you in a vacuum. Would you rather have jason. Chevy chase edmunds than james connor. Sure because the passing down equity but like at cost we thought connor was the better value. Either way this is a time share. I think in the short term he might be. This was the perfect games here for this and make no mistake about this. Every knows last week. I was pounding the table. They were gonna blow out the jaguars. Great call like you. Guaranteed you literally guaranteed on this show. You guaranteed a victory for the texans which went strongly against conventional wisdom. So kudos to you. That might have been the call the week on. But but i don't think every game that's gonna bump co typical. Their games are it's it's going to be much more difficult for them to have anything close to what they did with the backfield yesterday which is why especially given the lack of versatility of ingram. Of course right. Which makes me feel again. Phillip lynch is still the guy that if you're gonna roster any of them for the course of the season he might be i'm fine with potentially grabbing mark ingram right. "The coin is i mean the reason. This game line is so close is the fact that titans defense was awful. Last year thirtieth in the league giving up thirty six point two fantasy points per game. Two opposing wide receivers. They're going to face the andre hopkins in asia. Green and rondell. More and kristen kirk. It's going to be like. I'm not sitting cardinal players in this game just because i have tennessee winning it. Yeah i would agree with that. I mean it's an offense that plays fast. You've got cuyler. Murray at the helm. I don't expect the titans defense to be as porous as it was last year last year. That was it was terrible. They made a lot of improvements at the very least. They invested their resources. This offseason towards the defensive side of the ball. I do think they still have a pretty bad secondary When you're gonna play hopkins you're gonna play. I'm not yet touching the other receiving options. Until i see what the heck happens on the field. Yeah i mean i'd play. Aj green if it was aj versus emmanuel sanders. This week. If i had that decision deeper league multi wide receiver league. Because i know he's going to start against about secondary. But what are you doing with the running backs On the card side of the ball. On playing chase edmunds I drafted him to be a starter. And this isn't the type of matchup where i'm willing to put james connor in you. He was fine to to speculate and take him at his. Adp and find out week one but this is the. "You're doing rookie that you like for dynasty form. It's very open ended. Question here is to find you and I'm not talking about Trevor Laurence. Obviously, we all like Trevor Laurence, but somebody that's not super obvious. Yeah, I know. I mean, I could've gone with Trey Lance, but you know, because everyone knows that I am happy about that pick, But I went off the board a little bit with Michael Carter going to the Jets, and I think Had his chance to make an impact fairly quickly. It was kind of surprising because we don't think of the Jets running backs traditionally is being well, at least not of late. I should say is being that solid, but he can catch passes. He runs with power. He is somebody who has a chance to be on the field more than he's not because he couldn't pass protection as well. So I think you could make an impact fairly quickly. One of the criticisms been the Jets offensive line. They obviously have made some moves to try and sure that Oppa's well They ranked, I think was 29th in yards per carry before contact on. So the running backs not getting much of an opportunity, but I think it was solid. They're some of the changes that they're making. I think that That it's also gonna be interesting to see since he brought Michael of floor there how their offenses going toe look in terms of what the running backs are able to do. So I'm watching Michael Carter. Yeah, that was a good A good value Pick. Yeah. And the Jets, of course, drafted two players named Michael Carter. One of them plays defense. One of the plays offense. You just lied about the offensive guy. All right, so step on you. You went off the board for the dynasty stuff. And then Matthew and I decided to go right down the middle with Daniel. I think you could make strong arguments for Jamaar Chase for Kyle pits. A stiff fine, he said. Trey Lance, I've seen a number of fantasy analysts that I respect say that Trey Land should be number one and dynasty formats This year I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with Trevor Laurence, though Just because again many dynasty formats, you super flex, which, if you're unfamiliar, basically means you can play two quarterbacks and so Quarterbacks are generally the valued in fantasy, but not in super Flats and a dynasty. Look, quarterbacks have the longest shot five of, you know any position generally, you know, certainly, obviously, you know, Wide receivers are next and then you know, running backs tight ends, but You know, So for me, it's you know, for me, it's Lawrence. I think that he will. We've discussed this a lot field. I think he will run more than gets credit for then 17 rushing touchdowns at Clemson. I think they're going to give him every possible chance to succeed in Jacksonville already liked some of the weapons around him, you know? Vistica Lubis, ca Shonali DJ shark, obviously Marvin Jones, and so I'm I'm just excited about Trevor, Laurence and Dynasty. I mean, obviously, he's obviously just a star in every single way, Right. The longevity Certainly Bothwell for 10 or 15 or 18 or 20 year career, because Tom Brady is showing us that apparently, some quarterbacks for at least one can play for 24 years. It is all about positional scarcity of the tight end position in this is a big step that stood out to me. The difference between tightened too. But when you look at the top three from that tight end position it Z Kelsey It's Kittel, and it's Darren Waller. So the idea that you have a position where I could draft a tight end? Who's as young as he is with an established quarterback in Matt Ryan and other pieces on that offense, and Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones? For now, we'll see what happens with Julio the rest of this offseason. You know, he's in a position where he will not be a focal point. You shouldn't be seen the double teams. He's got a great offense around him. Are there Smith coming in? Like I said, you know, a veteran quarterback I love the idea of being able to lock up in Dynasty eight. Height and position where finding a superstar is so much harder than a wide receiver or quarterback in these passing leagues. I just think finding a quarterback or wide receiver is a little bit easy. So give me that guy at a position where if you've got a Chelsea or a Kittle, you are feeling strong every week because you know you always have an advantage over the prisoner plain at that position. Yeah, I mean, it's the most elusive position in finishing fantasy football. I think a brisk everything you said. I agree with their Daniels. So continue to believe that Kyle Pitts is the guy in dynasty that has the most unique value relative to his position. Let's go to one more to find you here. One more. And I think that was part of the challenge with James Connor and ultimately his struggles with staying healthy or an issue for him, So it's kind of like Now it's the next generation of running back. They want someone who could do it all, and not Jake Harris should be able to do it all. There were some questions about his ankle coming out of Alabama. Whether he had a problem. They're not. I've been told his ankle structurally sound there. No major issues at all there. Every everything is full go, and he's expected to be 100% on the season opens so We know it. Wasn't that what we always talk about fantasies like opportunity and availability. So as of right now available and as of right now, certainly looks like he's got Tons of opportunity. Matthew, if you had to give nausea and outlook relative on like the skin scale of, say, pawnbrokers, probably Apex, Um, maybe Josh shake ups or somewhere in between, like where would you sort of rank Nagy's outlook amongst Guaranteed starters for his team in rookie outlook for fantasy like is he? "Is signing out in the desert with the Cardinals. Now that's not an enormous loss. Because James Connor has been severely inconsistent. James Connor. Some of it's easy to root for. But he has not lived up to the expectations that we thought he was going to. If you look at James Connor and Judas, Ms Schuster A lot of people thought it was going to be easy to replace Levy on Belle and Antonio Brown. It has not been easy to replace those two players for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Does James Connor. Has not been consistent enough. And yes, Juju has been more consistent than James Connor. He still has inconsistencies, though at his respective position. When I look at that running back room, though, right now for the Steelers. It's a big problem. That was a big fan of Benny Smell coming out of Kentucky. If Benny Snow goes into this year, though, as your number one back, that is a big time problem for the terrible towels. Cause you can't put this entire season on the shoulders of Benny Snow because that the Steelers don't have run game Then what happens? You have what happened to the playoffs last year or towards the end of the regular season? Last year when you have a lot of losses, and you having big Ben throw the football 40 50 60 times a game. That's not a winning recipe in this league. Yes, it is a pass heavy league. You also though, need balance. Every team that wins the Super Bowl has some resemblance of a run game. Whether it's running back by committee or it's a bell cow back and a lot of times Now it's usually running back by committee and I don't usually advocate to draft they running back in the first round. We've had these debates before. Sure, everyone loved to have a Christian McCaffrey. You look at what happened with the Cowboys in a sick, Elliot. People are wondering when the Cowboys are gonna move on from Zeke sake, want Barkley? Heck of a talent, he has not been able to stay healthy. And then look at other running backs who have been great and they weren't first round picks. Derrick Henry. Nick Chubb. Sharon Jones. Alvin Kamara. Just to name a few. Nine times out of 10. Now in the year of 2021. I would not advocate for a team to draft the running back in the first round. I just don't think it is a position of need in the first round and you could find a running back that could still be very effective. Later on in the draft for the Steelers, No It's a position of need. Cause they're playing this year is to win with big bed personally. I don't think the Steelers are winning a Super Bowl this year with big bed. I think they could get to the playoffs. I don't even feel good about them winning a playoff game. This is going to work if they're going to exceed expectations. They're going to have to draft the running back in the first round. When you look at where they sit, they said at 24. Nagy. Harris may be available then. Of nausea. Harris is available. 24 You have to take him. If he's not available, then maybe you go Travis, a TN at a Clinton Would be surprised. And once again I don't love running backs going in the first round anymore. Would be surprised if the Steelers don't take a running back in the first round. Because if you look at the depth chart right now, Benny Smell Junior is going to be your number one back. Maybe there is upside with Benny Smell, Jr. We haven't seen that yet consistently at one good game early last year. We have not seen that, though consistently in the National Football League. The Steelers are for the first time in a long time in that no man's land territory. Where there is still a good team. Not great. They're not elite. They're not bad. They're not average. They don't strike fear in you, though. You don't When you see the Steelers on the schedule, you know, all right. It's gonna be a good game. It's not a team that you're shaking in your boots and sweating for an up late at night anymore. Preparing an over preparing because you actually think that that team condone Omine ate you. And that's because when you look at it now, the offensive line, no run game and an older quarterback. I think the best case scenario for the Steelers. Is that this is Big Ben's final year. And then you start to address the future. Do you think that this will be Big Ben's final season? I do believe that this is going to be a season that it will end in the playoffs, they could miss the playoffs. Do you think they'll they'll be a playoff team? I would be surprised, though, if they get past wild card weekend, and if they do get past wild card weekend, I don't see a way. How they get past the division around. They're playing in conference championship weekend if they're going to want to be in that conversation if they're going to want to surprise some people The Pittsburgh Steelers must must must Jenna running back in the first round. And here's why say that They don't have the luxury. Like other teams do, I will find someone the 2nd 3rd, or fourth or fifth round. Their entire season is going to be made or it's going to break. It's gonna make a break on if they could have some balance because last year there was zero balance. And then the Steelers were exposed down the stretch, and they were not feared heading into the postseason. If they're running back with Ben. Their intentions are to win. Now. You may not believe they could win. The front office, though, does the coaching staff does And they need to address such a big time area of weakness. And that's the running back room and I do ultimately believe that they will take a running back. In the first round. It is the sack Help show right here on CBS Sports Radio. You don't have that belief, though you're in the middle. It's like we're not picking in the top 10. We're not going to be playing on conference championship weekend. You go into the season Super Bowl for the Steelers right now, The belief is playoffs. All right, maybe a playoff win. So we come on back, we'll examine some other quarterbacks. And where they kind of lie. On that kind of meter and kind of scale and a few quarterbacks that do stand out too. May that aren't bad aren't great, and they're on teams. That aren't bad. That was gonna be the guy and I like that. It's not when he was at Kentucky. Benny sounding too much this year. And receiving wise. You got chased Claypool. He got the anti Johnson. Unless that you just met steak. Unless I'm the judge is coming back. Shoot. You is not number one wide receiver Juju we had that thought of maybe Juju was a number one wide receiver When Antonio Brown left Ju just Ms Schuster. At times shows you could be number one wide receiver. But if you ask me, is he more of a one or two, I say is more of a two So can he be an in between her 1.5 year but for the most part true, just misused his number two wide receiver. So if he's gonna command number one wide receiver money for let's say a team that maybe doesn't get Alan Robinson a team that doesn't get Kenny Golladay, then juju is probably gone. So I looked at the Steelers for so many years that even Jerome said it when I ask them Hey, in 2000, and I'm with them on a second ring. I know he was a part of team If I told you in 2021 be talking that Ben would have a third. Would you be surprised? Yeah. You know in that? Time at the words. The defense hasn't been great. Now it's been role reversal. When you look at all those names TJ want, make a Fitzpatrick. I know Devin Bush got hurt, but he'll be back in the fold. And you go through it all now and Cam Heyward. Now the defense is playing dynamite. And the offense can they stay afloat? Or are they going to sink? So I look at Ben, now in his late thirties, I think is better days are behind him. Now you could still win with the better days being behind him. Do I expect that in Pittsburgh? No, I don't. And even if the Chiefs go down in the playoffs Will trust the team like the bills. Will trust the team like the Ravens, even the Browns, who opened up a can of whoop ass Up against the Steelers in that playoff game. I would trust those teams before I trust the Steelers. So I look at Ben. I don't think Ben's win another Super Bowl. Now, here's just one more thing since we were talking about the Colts earlier. Totally just transitioning gears have the Colts. They're not gonna get to Chaumont cities in that division. We went through all the options for Shawn Watson and we ruled out Indy. When you look at all the options for Indian we talked about Jamis Winston, maybe being the next quarterback. Could. The answer may be beyond the roster. Know Jacoby percents of free agent but that's what I'm talking about. They just drafted Jake a piece in the second round. Now with the team that is playoff caliber. Is Jacob peace and ready to go. You probably say he's not ready to go. But even if you're thrown to the wolves, can he survive? Even if he has an up and down first year Can you build off that? They want Roethlisberger back, but clearly not at the $41 million that he is, Oh, they need to have some kind of salary adjustment. Roethlisberger right away because we told you what's going to happen. We told you we could go watch Ben Roethlisberger. He's going to somehow find a way to announce the one last round up ride Sweet and have one more year in the National Football League. For everybody to say. Oh, it's Roethlisberger's last year, and he gets ahead of the story of the Steelers need to get rid of him and move on a quarterback. And that's exactly what happened because right after that story about Roethlisberger Taking less came up. What did we see? Bang Ben Roethlisberger says. I don't need money this year. I'm about winning. And, yeah, I think I want to come back for one last year, but I'm still kind of making my decision. This is what's going to happen. He'll say I'm taking that Look. I get the number of times a lot of Pittsburgh and you know, sometimes it's just just the way you have to do it. It is maybe the coach and may be a player. Even when the Steelers were rolling, though, from a record standpoint, 11 and oh, There were signs that in the ceilings aren't as good That's the way that the record says they are. So for Ben If he had a game up against the Chiefs. I think they're winning that. No. I don't think they're able to keep up. Even if you go against the Browns, Yeah, they could beat the Browns, but the branches smother them. And the second Ravens game. How much stock can you put in that 20? He hasn't had a lot of cold weather experience, but he has been so if you look at his numbers against DeAndre Hopkins against DK Medcalf against the elite receivers in the league. He has done unbelievable When that you know that ego part of being a corner, right where you're the guy, and it's your job to shut down the other guy, he has responded. Every time he's been given that challenge, so really You know, with golf and how that son that surgically repaired thumb's gonna handle the cold and the weather and the grip and all those things. I think it's really the the attack of the Packers offense against the Ramseys that Rams defense just It just it makes me shake my errand. Donald. You know it's It's phenomenal what they're doing. You know on that side of the ball, so that that's gonna be like I said At the beginning of this, however many minutes ago, itwas We're down to the Final eight. Um I think Ben can still get it done. I just think If you want him to do like you did last week and throw from 500 yards and 60 attempts or whatever it was. That's not how you're going to get done. I mean, he just had a He just had a surgery done toe surgically repaired reconstructive elbow that nobody had ever done before, and he came back and played. He started off the season. Incredibly hot on Ben obviously hit some bumps in the road late in the season on guy Think some of that is just His arm not being up this I mean, that's a you know that's uncharted territory. When you're talking about coming back from the surgery that he did, and I think another year hey, hasn't decided if he's coming. I think he's going to come back. But if he does come back, I think he's only gonna be better because I think that year that elbow will be another year removed. From the surgery. There's a couple things they needed to address the need to address their offensive line, which is weird to say about the Steelers. They need to get better there. They need to get a running game. It's hard to believe that the Steelers We're last in the NFL in run game offensive run game, and they've got to do a better job there. So that's the offensive line that's running back. I know James Connor was banged up a little bit miss some time. Um So, Yeah, if I think Ben could get it done, But I think you need a better play on the offensive line and better run game to provide some balance for Ben to go with that to go with that effective defense. "This Monday. Hey, God! This'll weekend seemed like it was about four days along to me. It did. It was long now. Four again. Next thing I want to get into here. How about your brown's partner? How about that horse? I thought Muir. I was thinking about you all night. Not like that, but I was thinking about you watching that game. Well, I was because my wife said she's from Pittsburgh. So you know, in the in the figures household that's a little bit of a room. And so I'm sitting on the couch, and she she sat in the kitchen, which is we're kind of it's connected. I mean, it's like, you know, just look through the into the living room there. And so, she said, I'm going to sit at the counter and do work. And I'll watch it over your shoulder and I'm like, okay, well in the first player of the game If you didn't see the game, Uh, the Steelers Hike the center the ball into the It's into the end zone recovered by Cleveland Bank and I'm like that holy cow, and I don't want to give her too much crap. Because you know the repercussions could last for a while. And so then the barrels keep piling on piling on. I got it. I got nothing. I mean, and I tweeted this out. He followed me on Twitter at Rocky Boy and 50. If you don't I kept saying, because this is my observation, watching this as someone who has Played a tough game in the cold. I know it's not very comfortable but watching. I kept to myself. I'm saying the Steelers look like they're cold and they don't want to be there. I mean, that's that's the only thing I can think of. They did. This kind of they're getting pushed around and You know, the ball snapped over over you said grand rounds for his head, and he kind of makes an effort to get on it. But not really. James Connor kind of makes an effort to get on it. But not really sounds like this look cold and They're cold, and I wanna be there and any Browns fan fellow Browns fan listening right now. And, you know, like old houses are abandoning the old stuff. Of course, there was that house in the woods. So this is down South Carolina, Okay, Group of teenagers or the riding 44 wheelers around. And there's this house way out the woods and it's kind of abandoned and dilapidated little bit, and it's rumored to be haunted, right Famous last words exactly. Remember behind. So these kids, I'm sure they're like, OK? Yeah, right. But let's let's go check this thing out. So they walk up to the house. You were there walking around they get to the on the back porch, and one of the kids knows this is a deep freezer. On the back porch. Wow. And sure gone and well in the open the freezer and there it is a body, okay? And, uh, So of course, you know they're shocked and all that sort of stuff. Cool. Riley Robinson, who was one of the kids there? Said quote I didn't know what to do. I was speechless. Heard that once you smell That smell. You could never forget it, and that's all I can smell right now. Right? So he's clearly distraught from this, So the location was declared a crime scene. Police go out there. On by. The coroner, said in the statement that they're working to identify the remains cause of death and all that. But Ron Phillips is the name of the guy who owned that home. Previously. He's the previous tenant, OK? He said that his family had lived in a house for many years, and he himself actually still kept several belongings there even after moving out, including that freezer. Okay, um, quote my daughter grew up out there, and it really affected her to know that someone would come out there and do such a thing Is this put the body in the freezer on the back porch so his daughter lived there. And for whatever reason, hadn't lived there in a while. So now that body is in his deep freezer. Okay, So it's just a terrible, terrible thing. So this guy's claiming to be held devastated. He is over this and all this and that was family home of his Has had a buy in it. But there's more to it, and the owner of the abandoned house is cooperating with police. But two days after the body's discovery, the house mysteriously burned to the ground who didn't see that coming right to new. The fire is being called quote suspicious in nature by the Orangeburg County Fire district coordinator So, boys a shame. What happened? My family who would do that's my family's home and their belongings. All that And you light a match, did they They identified the Well, I can't victim They can't. Now. Guess what? The whole thing burned. Yeah, I guess there's crime scene tape up there. I actually I don't know. I have to imagine. Something like that. Don't they get the remains out and go take him somewhere to look at anyway. Nevertheless, somebody And burn the bad board of the ground. And here. I hate to have this thought right now, but we all we have all had this thought. When you hear stuff like that, and I think we've even talked about this on the show. Is, don't you And I'm not a malicious criminal bitey any stretch, I could be. But I choose not to be. I know. I think this I think everybody thinks he was my powers. Forget right, But don't you think you see something like that? Don't you think everything in the back your brain gone? Well, not that I was stupid donkeys away. Here's what I did die if you've got a house, like way out in the woods, you why do you put in the freezer on the porch, right? Yeah, It just seems funny. That's where your brain Went for that. "Dad Count Kevin up this morning here on the show this hour we've got the Chicago Bears looking absolutely pitiful yesterday in New Orleans and in 40 minutes a momentous Monday In honor of Little Bo and his Ravens winning yesterday, which is awesome. But let's start this hour with what happened last night in Pittsburgh. As the Cleveland Browns. Had not won a playoff game since becoming the new Browns. You had to go back to 1994. You might have seen the video last night is they showed this on the NBC broadcast. Nothing will be ever more painful than Browns fans losing the Browns. Brown's end up moving to Baltimore, becoming the Ravens and winning a Super Bowl for years later. Uh When they came back. Finally, as the new Browns they drafted Tim Couch bust. 40 Brown bust Spin forward Trent Richardson Bust Justin Gilbert bust. Brandon Weeden bust Go down the list of the coaches that have been fired every 20 minutes. The G M's. That was a carousel of new faces. The Johnny Mans L disaster. Freddie Kitchens and that nightmare Hugh Jackson going Oh, and 16 and one and 31. And their only playoff game as the new Browns happening. 18 years ago, I made a 17 point lead over. They hated Pittsburgh Steelers and somehow blew it. That was all Brown's existence over the last 25 years. Pain after pain after pain after pain. And so this week I'll be honest. When I saw the news that Kevin's to fan ski, their head coach is not gonna be able to be on the sideline. And job. Antonio, Their best offensive lineman was not gonna be able to play both because of covert situations. Did not believe the Browns could win this game. I didn't I didn't believe they could win this game, but I did believe that the Browns didn't come this far to lose this game in blowout, embarrassing fashion, and so If you listened yesterday, I did a radio dot com sports slashed the better You bet. Show with Sarah Perlman and Nick Costas. So we were going over the lines of the action of the weekend. And I specifically said, Look, I don't think the Browns when 18 years since the playoffs and are going to get routed here. But they're going to lose in some type of dramatic, gut wrenching fashion and so take the Browns of the points but I don't feel good at all about them being able to win a football game on the road to the playoffs. Without their head coach. And look, I could not have been more wrong on them being able to hang the W because from the first snap off the game It was not the ghosts of the brown some type of nerves or Some type of that experience. No. From the first half of the game last night. It was the Steelers. And they're sloppiness. The Steelers just being totally ill prepared for the moment. Look you've got Pouncey is one of the best centers and football. On the first map of the game. Shooting a rocket over Ben Rafa's burgers, head and better off this burger, who's going to be in the Hall of Fame one day on the first snap of the game? Has a bouncing ball go over his head, and instead of just doing the smart thing swatted out of the back of the end zone. It's two points. And you live to see another day. Getting out of the way waiting for James Connor to try to slide on it at the one yard line, and then it being squirted free and the Brown scoring a touchdown. You just kick that puppy right out of the back of the end zone it It's already going backwards and it's too nothing fine. Instead, it's seven. Nothing and suddenly it's like Whoa! And then the errant throws. The deflected passes the interceptions and before you know it, the route is on a 28 Nothing now the Steelers club their way back into this game. But 28 nothing. You're never going to come back from unless you're Frank Reich and the other team is playing a run and shoot offense and doesn't realize that you can run the football. What happened in 1993 between the bills. The Oiler should never happen again, because you know people get smarter and realized. No, Let's not do that if we have a 28 point lead For the Browns last night. 28. Nothing did not feel like 28 nothing. 35 10 might not have felt like 35 10. Howard, What do you think has happened to Pittsburgh? Because Pittsburgh they were 11 and know they were looked at to be in the same seat that now buffalo I think occupies, but we really seen a regression at the quarterback position. They can't really run the football and the injuries have sort of taken over. Do you think there's any way especially after the second half we saw against Indianapolis that Pittsburgh when he gets back into that conversation and could make a run this postseason? I think they definitely could make a run. I think the second thing you said there and going through in terms of weren't able to run the ball. They've got James Connor back healthy. That's key for their for their offense. This is a funny how many times we analyzed the NFL and acknowledge it's a passing league and it's a quarterback league and yet we fall back on, but you still better be able to run the football. To be able to pass it well, and I think you know Pittsburgh, you know, they want a lot. They want a lot of games and those 11 there when they were undefeated that weren't great performances, but they found ways to win. And then it went, you know, went wrong for a little bit, but certainly the last week's game kind of, I'm sure lifted them all gave him I don't know that they were lacking confidence, but you just feel better about yourself afterward. And so, yeah, I don't think there's any doubt that that's the team that could be very, very dangerous in the postseason. Right now we're talking to our balls are going through the NFL playoff picture. I really like what I've seen from Baltimore these last couple of weeks. Now, I'm not gonna lie to you. Strength of schedule sort of worries me with them. When you think about the last three wins again, some of the bottom teams of the league well through the last four the Cowboys. They had that impressive Monday night win against the Browns, Jacksonville and the Giants. They play the Bangles this week, but I'm looking at a team starting to get healthy running the football really effectively. Baltimore is is not a team. I would want to play wild card weekend. No, absolutely not. That's that's a good team. And you know, the one thing you still wonder about is Now they've been knocked out of the playoffs the last two years and, you know, let Margit. They just have to have that balance in the offense and teams have found a way to defend Lamar Jackson in the last two playoff games, and that's we always have to remember. That when you're in the playoffs as you were mentioning strength of schedule that has a lot to do what happens during the regular season. There's no gimmes in the postseason. You're playing the best teams and like like I was saying earlier, especially in the A M City, where there's so many good teams. And several of them have pretty darn good defense is whether you look at Tennessee whether you look at Indianapolis, which it was Everyone's You wanna look at Miami. It's not a great defense, but they just play opportunistic. And forced turnovers and are able to t change games that with all that, so I think that that's going to be the big question that the Ravens are gonna have Whoever they end up playing, assuming they get into that first round is what is the match up? And will they be able to do things against whatever defense they play that they were able to easily do against some of the teams that aren't that good? I don't feel like people of maybe acknowledged how good the sea is that This year. Even with the expanded playoffs, we could be seeing seven teams get in that all won 11 games Orm or where this might be the deepest and most competitive play off, at least in a conference that we've ever seen before, like one team out of Tennessee, Indianapolis, Miami, Baltimore. Cleveland is going to miss the playoffs and they could 1 11 game and they added a playoff team. I don't think people maybe knowledge how top to bottom strong. The FC playoffs are this year. I'm with you, 100%. I think we way could see that numerous. You know, several weeks ago. I remember looking at it at one point, maybe about halfway through the season right around then. Where you could see that there were 10 A.m. C teams believe it was with winning records at the time, and the NSC didn't have that many and you had teams that were in the hunt. Weather was Arizona Chicago in some of these teams that were just kind of teetering. Around 500 or just a little bit above it. They're just they just weren't as deep and I think that's the thing. I think the NSC has very good team at the top, but they don't have as many that a good one. So I think what we'll see is When we when the seedings come out after after tomorrow, and whoever is number two in the NFC, and they're playing the seven seed people who look at that and say Well, okay, that you know those teams got in, but the number two seed is that much better. The FC Number two seed playing number seven. That's not that's going to be a toss up. Whoever that number seven seed is Last team and in one of the teams that could potentially be that seven seed is Cleveland..

NFL suspends all activities for Titans after positive COVID-19 cases
"Few players from Tennessee titans tested positive for in nineteen, which has prompted the NFL from suspending all activities bore the titans until more tests come out well, they came out The three titans week for opponent are the three steelers initial reports said that the game would be postponed until Monday or possibly even Tuesday. But an additional titans player tested positive on Thursday morning, which led to the temporary cancellation of this contest. The Titans and steelers will not be playing their game this week and the NFL must find a way to rescheduled game by maneuvering weeks and or even possible that the game may be lost. We don't really know yet by the way. NFL has spoken about issues such as this. It seems like they'll do whatever they can within reason to reschedule the game. As we know, the sport of football is a lot different than other sports and rescheduling games could be an issue due to the nature of the sport, but we're GonNa have to see what transpires throughout the year. This may not be the only time that something like this actually occurs and when it happened with the Saint Louis Cardinals Baseball, they could just reschedule doubleheaders at our seven. Years later in the season and kicked, that can down the road. I don't know if you can do that in the NFL is such a physical game and players need time to rehab throughout a week. Patriots may soon have to deal with their first Antonio Brown issue and it has to do with his number
"We have to talk about the biggest storyline in the NFL Antonio Brown as it looks like the saga for Antonio in some ways is finally ending and in other ways. It's just beginning for number eighty four as Antonio uh-huh Brown signs a one year proved deal with the New England patriots and it's hilarious because there is so much speculation when all his shenanigans with the Oakland Raiders for going on that really it was just a grand master plan for Bill Bella check to somehow land the all world talent wide receiver in sure enough he gets released from the raiders and later that day signs deal with the New England patriots another huge weapon in the offense four. Tom Brady and this has shades of what Randy Moss did did when he was with the Oakland Raiders. Moss spent some time in Oakland during his games he played for the raiders. You could just see that the big hall of fame wide receivers hardest wasn't in it. He wasn't really producing for the raiders he was now running routes with this full heart. You can just tell that he wasn't the Randy Moss when he was sooner in Oakland and then he goes to the Patriots under Bill Belichick and has a career year a record setting year with Tom. Brady Brady threw for fifty touchdown passes does that offense was just a cold plays away from being the first team to go perfect nineteen in Oh as they were trying to catch the seventy two dolphins they lose of of course the super bowl to the tremendous comeback led by Eli Manning and the New York giants. There is a real world possibility with the addition of Antonio Brown that the Patriots could make some history but now we gotta look back at how this came to be an Antonio oneal brown you could tell really from the Gecko once he got into camp once he started running some routes with Derek Carr in this raiders offense something clicked in his head that he did not want. I WANNA be in Oakland. I mean he did the cryotherapy happens and you chalk that up to operator malfunction with the frostbite on the feet then he goes on this insane escapade with the helmet trying to get all that taken care of in think in trying to use his old helmet. He's used forever he. He's had six months to do it and he doesn't think that's enough time to find a new helmet. I mean he's not looking for new kidney. He just needs a helmet you. There's ways to figure that out to make it fit and make it. It'd be comfortable everyone else in the NFL did it why couldn't he that becomes an issue. He's stays out of training camp. He doesn't do the walk throughs. The helmet issue did not mean he couldn't couldn't practice with the team he did that on his own accord and then he goes after the general manager of the raiders after he gets fine for actions he knows our final. He did them with that in mind. There wasn't like that fine just came out of the sky on him and Mike mayock gets verbally costed by Antonio Brown he goes on a barrage. I use of slayer of slurs cuss words to Mike May Auchan your raiders still still planned on playing him in there Monday night game against the broncos broncos that says a lot about the raiders as an organization that they were willing to take this abuse from Antonio Brown and take all this Prima Donna behavior behavior that was happening with Ab and still play him Monday night when he's barely practice with the team we talked earlier in the season here here on this show about how Antonio Brown by taking all this media attention has helped the raiders rookies developed because they haven't had to deal with it and that's still true in the lot of the raiders rookies have talked talked about in themselves and the second year players have said by having Antonio Brown. It's been nice that they haven't had to deal with the media coverage and hard knocks and that was really a lot more centered around Antonio Brown but he's also had a terrible example as an a way to conduct yourself as professional with what he's done with the raiders clearly didn't want to be there show the the reaction video when he finally gets released from the raiders and all of that finally goes down and I think the raiders are better off for it you if you're going to establish a new culture in Oakland. You can't have this going on in your locker room on your sideline. You need to get Antonio Brown out of out of there if he wants out all the better let him go you cut your losses just saved a lot of money by voting that twenty nine million that you would yet. You'RE GONNA pay him over the three years Antonio Brown you get your wish you go you get to play for the Patriots I think both sides can kind of wash their hands of the issue but now the rest of the NFL has to deal with the Patriots and Tom Brady having Tony Brown as viable and very real. There was the situation in practice where missed the hot route and been said he wanted to run it again, and he just lost it. What is going on with Antonio Brown? Round got upset this. According to Jeremy is reporting that rob Berger wanted to run a hot read over again during a walk-through so coaches sent another player into run the play a source close to the situation told Adam Schefter Brown got upset left. "Me let me to just a little bit allow me to express to you the alarming level of frustration that I on questionably feel at this particular moment in time. I cannot put into words how disgusted I am. That the Pittsburgh Steelers ended up losing this game. I can't even put it into words. Ben Rothlisberger four hundred sixty two yards passing wasted. James connor. He's no Le vian bell. Juju Smith Schuster, thirteen receptions, one hundred and eighty nine yards wasted. For two reasons above all else. Big Ben Rothlisberger leading the league in red zone interceptions. Do another one yesterday was Shelby Harrison defensive lineman getting blocked in the coverage. And ultimately Ben Rothlisberger throwing the ball right to. Now. We can make the argument that it's the freakish interception that Ben Rothlisberger may have ever thrown as he so eloquent it in the aftermath of their twenty four to seventeen loss to the Denver Broncos yesterday. Denver Broncos team. That's now beating the charges in the Steelers in back to back weeks, by the way, we could go that route. All we can state the obvious. If you watched it throw, ladies and gentlemen, it was an interception. No matter what. Whether it was Shelby, all whether it was Roe. I'm sorry. Shelby. Harris. Oh, whether it was Roby who had. Antonio Brown completely covered. I don't know what the hell big. Ben Rothlisberger was thinking throwing that pass made absolutely positively no sense. Whatever you can point to that specific interception. But it was going to get into septic. It was going to get into septic. There is no doubt about that. There's absolutely positively. No doubt about that. Yet despite case keenum only one hundred ninety seven yards. Despite the fact that Denver didn't have the most formidable run a game to speak of. They still ended up winning the game. I mean Lindsay did have one hundred ten yards on fourteen carries. That's almost eight yards per carry. I got it. But the real culprit and all of this was bent. But now, I'm of the monster. They lost that game yesterday. And I said, dammit, they just lost a trip to the AFC championship game. Now. It's the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers now dropped to what is it a fourth seed. Or at least a three seed in the AFC that means Kansas City and New England both ahead of you. That means to get to the AFC championship game. You're going to have to be one of the other one a row, and I don't think they're going to do that. Now had the Steelers and all likelihood possibly fighting for birth to the AFC championship game at Arrowhead stadium against the kids City Chiefs. You know, what if you had home games prior to that one could stand the believe who knows what kind of upset could transpire maybe I'll get lucky. Now, it's no way in hell.
