Jalen Ramsey Sets the Record Straight About His Matchup With Hunter Renfrow

"These reporters Say that Hunter Renfroe burn. Jalen Ramsey. Is that right there, Traister? That's what they've been saying. That's called you Traister. That was a new one. Well, let's hear from Jalen Ramsey response reports. 104 burned him in practice, I guess, uh, some of their media thought that Hunter and pro had a really good day against me. Um And, uh, Still can't find the place. I don't watch the film twice and I still can't find a place where I was multiple times. Uh, But sure. Uh, I had one good catch on yesterday. Or, you know, six yards still look forward down with it. It's cool. I get that. You know, sometimes mentioning my name against going against certain receivers may given buzz, and they may pump them up some and this is notice that on the river because I actually think he's a pretty good player. I think you have some Cooper Cup in it. Um, but I didn't have no issues yesterday. Uhh! You know, watching the film. I played pretty pretty well yesterday, so maybe people just need to learn the differences between zones and man. I did see this one video that duck I just posted and you heard that in the background when I was playing it Now the ball is thrown overrun Hunter Renfro's head, but he does burn him.

NFL Players React to COVID Outbreak Policy

"We're talking about the NFL's protocols. Vaccination protocols, health and safety protocols. The fact that unvaccinated players and for staff if they lead to an outbreak, The team has to pony up money. Lost revenue. The players on both teams. Both teams lose game checks. And, Yeah, you get a loss on your record. You forfeit the game, But you getting lost. You don't play that game again. The NFL is basically putting it's foot to the next of players to kind of pressure them to get vaccinated. The NFL is a business that ain't messing around with their money. DeAndre Hopkins just semi threatened retirement and he was just like No, I'm Don't worry about it. He deleted the tweet. He's like, Hey, I plan on being here for nine more years. Jalen Ramsey said. Look, I am not going to pressure my teammates. He says. Whatever they do, they do. He says. I get it. I'm not going to pressure anybody. Stefon Diggs is talking about accountability is availability. He's in favor of, you know players getting vaccinated. Baker Mayfield says that it will be a competitive advantage for any team that's vaccinated. The majority. He says. It's way more than that. It's about safety, general health and well being of human life.

"You've got xavien howard really not a marquee name for most casual. nfl fans. But i mean if you have watched the league closely for the last few years you know xavien howard is just. He finds the ball to ball finds him so to speak. I mean he's just absolute turnover machine. He's been in miami since twenty. Sixteen but you really start to make a name for himself. The last two three seasons. He tenor substance actions last year We've had seven in two thousand eighteen ten interception last year. That is just so hard to come by you. Have to be glued to your Opposing receiver at all times. If you're gonna make plays like that again. I talked about it earlier in the episode. A good portion of that is just right place right time but at the same time He's he's prepared he he. He studies his film weekend. We go out and you have to know what offenses are doing. And ten receptions is just such a double digit interception threshold such a big number. And i just think that is crazy. You want that on your team. You want the guy taking the ball from the other team. He was tied for eleventh leak with only ninety targets again. A guy. that's just very underrated throughout the league. And it's good. That kind of jalen ramsey is putting him in the limelight and showing that appreciation for ability to turn the ball over which is again one of the biggest things you can do as a quarterback in the nfl. Now jay alexander at five. I have a bit of an issue with just considering some of the other guys that you have in the league. Arlen humphry Is a guy who. I think. I would rather have over jalen Jay alexander the baltimore. Ravens cornerback just because of his ability. Kind of fly around In while in humphreys i four seasons. He has two hundred. Eighteen total tackles eleven. Forced fumbles and eight interceptions. Along with three fumble recoveries so a guy that just is flying on the field. He kind plays more like a rover. Freelance position you kind of see lineup. All over the field you see a lot of the nickel. He covers multitude of receivers throughout a given game and even has the nickname fruit punch for his kind style of play where he's always looking hunting for the ball. And that's what. I kinda want more out of my corners instead of gyro alexander who is really just really solid athletic. Cover guy Now he's entering his fifth year marlin humphrey Try to be making his third straight pole pro bowl but both guys alexandra animal known for only had one interception last year alexander has really looked like a true number one cover corner..

"By the golden state media concepts. I'm your host white krieger. I'm in the middle of my weekly news dump We got a little more quarterback news. Because just got done talking about richard sherman in the scary situation that we were dealing with On the news front from him. We hope that he is okay getting his mental health back in order. But we have some more light quarterback news with jalen ramsey. He made an appearance this week. On the million dollars worth of game podcast he did a few power rankings. That really grabbed a few headlines this week. And i think they're very worth noting from one of the league's best quarterbacks for the last five to ten years and Joan ramsey is as good as they come in los angeles I think that defensive unit is going to be. It's going to be a little suspect. I guess i mean i truly. I don't know what to think about their defense because There there's not much to be truly excited about Outside of having two of the best players at their position on your team in terms of aaron donald jalen ramsey. So those two guys alone will make any defense scary but from top to bottom from a overall defensive roster standpoint There's not too many big names and big pieces there to get excited about either way. You have jalen ramsey outside. You have aired. Donald terrorizing quarterbacks from the inside. It's going to be hard to put up points on that on that team no matter what but regardless us on the million dollars worth of game podcast on barstool sports and he listed who he thinks are the top five corners in the nfl So this list. He listed himself a number two. He said stefan gilmore of the new england. Patriots was the second best he says. Tra- davis white is the third best and then xavien howard and of the dolphins and alexander of the packers which may have been a surprise to someone. I think you might have left someone out there that could be in place but overall great list and you can't really argue with the someone of his expertise at the cornerback. Position for what he thinks about this but stefan gilmore gilmore at number two. I i truly agree with this. I mean gilmore. You can make an argument. He's better than ramsey when he's at his best because of what we've seen him do at the quarterback position. We've seen him to do some things that just aren't done all too much And it's hard to really succeed is such a hard position to cornerback by position. I mean you get. It's the way these receivers moving now. It's it's first of all half. Your position is moving backwards. Which i think goes unnoticed. And it's has so much to do with just reading reacting and being so instinctive and so quick in understanding offenses and knowing your fill. I think there's so much that goes into being a great corner. And stefan gilmore does all of those things now. He had a rough year last year. Dealt with injuries. I mean the whole patriots team. I kinda discount the a lot of these players shortcomings because when he dealt with injuries to their whole team was doing with cova issues throughout the year. And i hope those are the past. I just can't wait for a season where we not. We're not questioning and wondering what players will be in week each week because of covert and it had brought so much unpredictability to each week of last year season but we want to see the best players playing. And i mean we saw we saw games where teams were just hit by cove outbreak In the middle of the week. And then you're just not gonna have as any guys in. The broncos had a quarterback who would never played quarterback last year in and That game against the saints was crazy to watch. Because you had a quarterback who was really like a receiver in college. I want to look up Whom talking about here because that was just an incredible thing to watch. Because he's got this guy you could tell they lose thirty one. Two three two one saints last year after the quarterbacks were hit with kobe buckner. I three quarterbacks were all out in blake bortles drew walk and you had to start. Kendall hinton kendall hinton put up a one for nine for thirteen yards stat line. He couldn't complete more than one pass. And i would go back to if you think you can. I was getting to debate with my friends. That if you can do think you can complete a pass in the nfl. I'm always like no chance. I wouldn't be able to get a snap off. I would just wouldn't be able to do any of it. And you had kendall hinting come out here who played quarterback at the highest level in division one but wasn't really an nfl quarterback he was a guy was transitioning to become a receiver and he was only got had left. The funny thing was he also played against tyson hill in this game. But you can. No hinton put up a one for nine thirteen yard stat line that that was pretty Just kind of groundbreaking to watch tatum. Hill nine for sixteen seventy eight yards. So what a game that was really. A masterclass by sean. Payton for being able to operate offense with tastes hill at the helm as the starter and You still had guys like alvin. Kamara latavius murray putting up crazy numbers to the game and that saints defense was ferocious up times last year but anyways that was a little bit of a tangent stefan gilmore. I mean he has to all pros. He has four pro bowls in the super bowl win. You only played in eleven games last year at one interception but he was still force when he was healthy. Teams know where he is on the field. You have to know where he is at all times. And you don't want to target a guy like stefan gilmore. But i'm really excited to see him. Prove himself again this year because when he's at his best he's so talented he in twenty nine thousand nine. He won defensive player of the year. That's just so rare to do from the cornerback position. You normally get pass rushers guys who were putting up the big sack numbers and you had a guy just dominate the entire league from the outside which was impressive to watch In that year he had six interceptions a fifty percent. Completion percentage allowed on him. I mean just truly truly dominant from stefan gilmore stefan gilmore. That i think will be getting this season at number three he's got davies white. Which seems correct. I think you could make an argument for you guys but look you you can. You can make an argument for davis white at number three spot for corners in the league. Nine interceptions over the last two seasons three last year was ninth best in the league and he's really emerged as the last two years for buffalo. Because he's still very young and he's still getting a lot better. You have fifty seven tackles. I think that's one thing that kind of sticks out from his game. How willing years as a tackler. But also just his ability to fire on the ball and really hold a secondary of that buffalo defense down because he's the one guy that sticks out on that team Great man to man. He's a great press. Quarter always guards. The number one receiver allowed fifty-six percent completion percentage last year allowed four touchdowns But again i think this is. What jalen ramsey thinks after based on what he's watched throughout the league and who knows what guys he's watched more of what games he's seen but i think you could definitely make an argument for davis white at number three in the league for corners. Because he's only getting better. I mean he's so young and he is. I think one day in the next few years we talking about Trae white as the best quarter in the league because that's what guys from. Lsu they d- they're bu they come out and they make place so true davis white at number three no arguments there at number four..

Los Angeles Rams set to go 7 years without a first-round pick

"Don't have their first round pick this year. Jacksonville has their pick and the Jalen Ramsey trade from last year. So the Rams without a first round pick. This year. In 2022 in 2023. So the Rams going three straight years without a person round draft pick. The third round pick is this year 2021. So the In addition to getting Jared Goff, the Lions getting 2022 1st round pick 2023 1st round pick and a 2021 3rd round pick. I don't think that's a bad haul. In exchange for Matthew over 10 year and playoff win, Stafford

"Coverage by Jalen Ramsey on that side, Rodgers takes fakes. The handoff looks to throw lots it down the middle little face he is gone. Touched up the Packers with dagger 31 Day 18. Actors going on to play the Bucks next week. We'll get to some buccaneer sounds in a bit, but I Roger says he was emotional after the wind because of how the Packers persevered throughout this year to get to this point. So happy for our guys. Definitely little emotional. Just thinking about what we've been through. Got me emotional with crowd out there today. Just still really happy about everything that happened today. Let's go from Ann Rogers to the coach of the Ram Sean McVeigh. His quarterback is not played well this year now the last few weeks can't really get on him because of the whole thumb injury and the surgery. But Chamakh base says he needs to evaluate Jared Cosplay to determine if he'll be on the roster and 2021. Let's listen up. Everything's being evaluated. I'm not ready to make any sort of statements with regards to anybody, you know, Starting position or not. We're gonna have a level of competition and everything that we do, and so that's where we're at. And I think, being able to take a step back, catch our breath and and evaluate everything as we move forward and try to be at our best that Z my answer to the question. Think Chamakh Vegas frustrated with Jared Goff, but that's coach's speak. He wasn't gonna say anything after that game, however, even if he's frustrated, we pose the question to you right now, But I have to want to forward CBS. Well. Jared Goff be back next year as the quarterback of the Rams. Yeah, well, the Rams have $65 million in reasons to do so and bring him back. Now That's the dead cap. Wouldn't his cap. It is 35 million next year. Personally, I don't think Jared Dawson $35 million Year quarterback, but if you tell me, I need to have $65 million And the dead cat. And out of Jared Gulf of my team. Yeah, that's not worth it. He's all right. He's okay. He's just not very good, and he's not great. And that's what sold him back. The ransom I painted it cost them the game on Saturday. That's what we'll hold back that football.

Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay Packers Preview: Goff To Start At Lambeau Field

"When i look at the rams i trust everything about the rams except the guy is going to have the ball in his hands. More time than anybody else. That jerry golf. He's a turnover. He's an accident waiting to happen and he's playing with a fractured thumb and the cold weather. And so i believe the packers defense although the not great i believe they can a few turtles out of him. Be a fumble or interceptions. Now aaron donald aaron says he feels great. Aaron donald play with a torn cartilage. Not me i had. That injury are in my ribs door to rip cartilage. Yup i tore my my real ended up when came loose my real extra protrudes a little bit now because there's not intact because the cartilage was torn. It was painful now. I don't know if anybody's ever had that skip. But sudden movements and aaron don lizzy sudden guy giving out a tooth gap and guy and even if he was. I mean just that third to feel that you don't realize how much you use your core until injure and then you realize the simple things brush not putting on your clothes brushing your hair. Imagine trying to play. Nfl football tried to move with three hundred pound man against wheel. Now you've got two hundred. Three hundred pounds man tried to move you against your will so it's going to be interesting to see not no. He's going to get the medication in there and and to calm it down in. So he's going to be very interesting. He might hip. Injury might not be as severe as my he might be able to tolerate more pain the not cooler. But that's not a very pleasant injury to play with in given that and everybody looking for the matchup everybody everybody would talk about. You know what they already talked about. Seventeen versus twenty. They will see jalen ramsey devante. Now i'm not sure how much jalen is going to travel now. I'm sure what jalen lineup was. I don't know if you've got to follow him in the slot. I don't know if he's probably left or right. But i've loved to see that. Because i know at some point in time. He's gonna have to come out on the side of with jason's zone and everybody wants to see that matchup.

Meyer makes NFL jump, named Jaguars coach

"Of the Jacksonville Jaguars out with a statement tonight, saying that former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer is going to become the next head coach of the Jaguars this coming season. This is ESPN is Adam Schefter. This is a team with the number one overall draft pick with right to draft. Trevor Lawrence. This is a team that has 11 draft picks, thanks to trades that involved Jalen Ramsey in Janek and God way last year. This is a team that has over $100 million in salary cap space in a year in which the cap is expected to go down, and it may be the best buyer's market for free agents that teams have ever had in Jacksonville's got all that room. It comes in a state where there's no taxes. Enticing free agents to make a move to Florida even more so than the ordinarily would everything lined up perfectly in place for Urban Meyer to make the jump.

"First out of the Rams 49. That's what he can do now I do not beat might may be too little too late, but You got to keep him in the pocket and maintain your rush lanes. Rio nine to go. Wilson in the gun trips left single man right. Here's the snap Wilson back against the four man rush. This time steps up in the pocket throws deep to the right side, and that's incomplete. Trying to find became Metcalf, who went airborne and took a shot in the back from Jalen Ramsey. It'll be second at its center. There's Ramsay skipping and dancing again. Boy. He's having a good time. Yeah, he really is having a good time and again good coverage. The ball was not catchable. He was too high. But Ramsay has done it. He still skipping out there, but he's still Look, he's happy. He's done a good job so far and his team is way ahead. Jalen Ramsey this week, named to the All Protein for the second time in his career, four time has been selected to the Pro Bowl. Here's the snap. Wilson back looks throws to the right side that's caught by Metcalf and Ramsey wraps it up and throws it out of bounds. Forward progress down to about the 40 yard line, so that'll be again a nine. It'll bring up third and one the clock is still moving. They say that Metcalf's forward progress was stopped inbounds to 43 to go. In the yard. Wilson of the shotgun trips left single man with right Here's the snap. Wilson back looks left pumps that side going deep down the left side. Got a man open. Freddie Swain makes the adjustment. He made the catch any is in bounds. Wow, that looked out of bounds. But What a catch! Wanna catch by swaying out of bounds of the 12 yard line. He made a great adjustment Caught this ball. Did he get his toe down is the question there's a challenge flag thrown by Sean McVeigh. Well, we'll take a look at the replay first. Look, I'm not sure he got that second foot down. Let's see. "We're DK just hasn't been able to finish the play. If I'm rough, I'm saying the heck away from Jalen Ramsey. I do not want to risk an interception in this game because I really think that the only way to the Seahawks can lose this football game is that they turned the football over over the last couple of weeks. They've tested clean, and if you throw it Jalen Ramsey's way, it's not necessarily that Ramsey might come down with the path. It's more that DK Metcalf doesn't have the best of hands. Ramsey is physical. And what happens if Ramsey deflected what happens if DK is jostling with the football bounces straight up in the air? In one of those Rams safeties is nearby. So If you're gonna throw it deed, you better make sure that you have a really favorable matchup before the play, and I feel like Russ could hit some of those deep passes. What's been great to see recently. He's been careful with those deep passes. But if I'm him I am. Uh, I am going to say it's hip to be scared against one dealing Ramsey. Sorry for the corny. Uh, no, it's okay to be living in the news. It's Z Think Huey Lewis of Huey Lewis. References in 2021 are very timely. I think most of based on the demo of this audience on Saturdays. I think that that probably scores you some points. With them. Um, So before I ask you about maybe the Seahawks big picture I'll ask. I'll ask you about just how you expect the game to go today. Like Do you figure like the consensus is that it's going to be an ugly game that someone's gonna win 17 14. 13 6. Something like that. Do you subscribe? To that, Paul, do you think that's what we're gonna be watching an hour and a half from now? I'm just so used to seeing it with the Seahawks of late that, Yeah, That's what I expect. And there's a lot of people that have been following this team a long time. But I'll tell you the same thing like they Generally played the same exact game. Whether it's just a sloppy, ugly game where they're flying down to the opposition. And look, I think they're better than the Rams. I really do it. Is there a more complete team that I think they're better offensively, but What will likely happen is we'll get off to a slow start offensively. Maybe the Rams do something, too. But I have a hard dungeon. The Rams kick field goals. I think at the end of the game will see Russell Wilson, this offense get going, But, yeah, I'm just like everybody else. I suppose that makes me a little basic here. But It's probably going to be a sloppy, ugly game. And I think the hope for Seattle is that Jared Goff who might be under center or that John Woolford aren't able to make any place because they just with Off our limited with the time and also he's just not good. And with Robert. I mean the guy's I'll give him credit. I mean, bless his heart. He had chutzpah and that last game that he played but first throws an interception. He doesn't scare me in the slightest Hug a lot from the Seahawks flagship. The Bills are moving the ball again. Colts miss a 33 yard field goal that would have made it a four point game. Buffalo now a couple of first downs, and with less than a minute to go in the first half. They have it at midfield again leading Indy. 17 to 10, even though the Colts have a big yardage edge in time of possession edge in this game. Well, where do you have the Seahawks in the grand scheme of things in the NFC playoffs of the four teams that you that you could make a case for to get to the Super Bowl? The Packers, the Saints, the Buccaneers. And Seattle. Where do you put the Seahawks in that pecking order? Good question. It's all gonna come down to match ups. And I mean, I think we've seen this year a bit of a rock paper scissors between Green Bay, Tampa Bay and New Orleans, whether all one on one against one another in Seattle Think actually, to their detriment hasn't gone up against any of those three teams. I'm very curious as to how they match up against any of them, because I think all of those teams feature offenses that have playmakers that can hurt them. Maybe not New Orleans at the quarterback anymore. But Alvin Kamara coming off the Koven 19, lest he scored six touchdowns not too long ago. Against Minnesota. They don't use him nearly enough in New Orleans. Green Bay is the worst possible matchup for them. They don't want to go up against Green Day. They want someone to take care of them in the next round of the playoffs before the NFC Championship game, if they you've been or to make it that far. New Orleans is intriguing because last year they played in a game early in the year. The game took place in Seattle, and it was wet and rainy and see how could a really difficult time tackling Alvin Kamara? Teddy Bridgewater was under center for that game, too? So they lost. Remember that And with the box. Brady does really well against cover Three defense is he always has whether it was just Bradley and the Chargers. Um, defense in the 2018 playoffs. Or just Seahawks in that Super Bowl that around here must not be named. He is very dangerous against that kind of defense and Pete. He talked about it being a simplistic defense, even if it is complex. But I do think that the Seahawks have been more consistent than Tampa Bay. New Orleans is the one where I feel like it's a bit of Ah, it's a bit of a crapshoot. You're just throwing out the dice there and you see what happened. New Orleans is a really good defense. I do think that, though, that the Seahawks would beat New Orleans more often than not So really, it's I think it's the Packers and then I think it's those three teams. The Seahawks are in the same conversation with Tampa Bay in New Orleans. All before I let you run. Give me like an X factor player today. Other than Russell Wilson, give me someone. You think if the Seahawks are gonna win, you need a big game from this guy. Mm. Well, if we're taking a look at cornerback and punt returner, there's this kid by the name of DJ agreed that the Seahawks signed away from the San Francisco 40 Niners in the middle of this year, and Kyle Shanahan was very disappointed in that he is undersized and is exactly the kind of cornerback that you would not expect the Seahawks to bring in because they've always had these guys who were long. Reed has been a baller. And I don't know if I should trust what I have seen, but he is tough. He is not afraid of making tackles and he has been a really good job and coverage. My question is is he can make an interception in this game or if he can Make a nice punt return in this game because he's pretty adept as a returner. He just doesn't give him any opportunities because you've been the Seahawks secondary corner. How is he going to do against Robert Woods? How is he going to do with Cooper Cup isn't in the slot and lined up against him. I think you look at everyone in the Seahawks defense and you actually trust up DJ readers that a really intriguing season But in the playoffs is he gonna be able to make big plays so I will point to DJ read the second corner for the Seahawks. Hug. A lot with us does mornings on the Seahawks flagship 7 10 in Seattle doesn't awesome job and it's now official, Jared Goff is active for the game. Blackboard. ALS will not be getting a helmet. Too bad, so we'll see if it's got all the way or if it's let's see what God can do. Woolford timeshare. Who knows we'll find out. I guess an hour from now we're our and change. Hey, Paul. Thank you so much for joining me. Enjoy the game. Okay, man. Tony. It's a pleasure. Thank you so much. And yes, You bet I will. Yeah. There you go, pal. Go on. Um Bills second and six into cults territory. Indy has beaten themselves in this game and One of the I mean, it's Z gonna help them if they lose because they have not been They're not taking a back seat to Buffalo. "Not telling you. I love the defense. Offensively. They've that look great Recently. They've had a lot of slow starts and they find a way to keep on getting it done. The Rams Jalen Ramsey's had his fair share of success this year up against DK Metcalf. We all know how much of a stud Aaron Donald is and Brandon Still, he's getting head coaching job enquiries as the first year defensive coordinator for the Rams. What may determine this game is gonna be the quarterback play for the Rams. Will it be Jared Goff under center? Will it be John Woolford? Was the rand's defense may do a good number up against Seattle and depending on what the Rams QB could do, could determine how much Seattle's gonna have to sweat in this game. Next stop. "Of course, that's the name of the game, but they probably have to match score for score. Touchdown, touchdown field goal for field goal. In that regard, they're gonna have to put a point. Credit to the Rams. They're better. I'm going to play this game because I think it benefits my point. But look who they played. They only scored 20 points, his cowboys and weak 12 Cowboys can stop no split. They beat the Eagles and weak to that's when the Eagles I would say we're at their absolute worst. They beat the Eagles. And we too. That's fine. You mentioned they lost. They lost two bills, but its and it was a good game. But they look the bills. Get up on him. Okay? The bills are better. They beat the Giants 17 to 9. And it beat the Redskins as you mentioned 30 to 10. I'm playing this this this sort of college football. Sec. Yanni played nobody. But they played nobody. I'm not impressed by the teams that they've beaten. I'm impressed that the Rams have won and this. These are legitimate NFL games, but it's not like they've beaten I don't know the Seahawks. They haven't beaten the Packers, so I think they're better. I'm not necessarily ready to put them in your man. These guys are seriously that much better. All that being said the Niners are not a strong team right now. They're not strong defensively. If they are going to beat the Rams, they're gonna have to match point for point. They'd better be ready and able to score 30 plus points in this game. Was defensively, their idea of stopping him. I'd like to know what it is. I mean, Air Donald has never looked better. The Naina Rolla and Jalen Ramsey is in that boat as well in the nine R o line is, you know, rarely looked worse, So I mean, it's going to be Gonna be a huge challenge have given up 18 Sachs. Now here's Aaron. Donald can't do tonight. They're not indeed all Tommy said it Quan Quan, the high ankle. He may not go there down for their top five corners. I don't know. I kind of looked at last week. I can't look at last week as as the game they had to have if they were going to be on a playoff trajectory. I know there's the extra playoff team in the NFC is not that deep, but I mean, you look at the schedule. I think it's gonna be challenging toe even win or lose this game T make any kind of playoff run. I mean, I'm not going to get excited about the Rams speeding all four terrible NFC least teams. Sorry that I will do it for me. They're better. But now I'm not going to buy that. These guys were really all that much back, considering they beat the NFC East, which is what you're supposed to do Hell. So far, even the Niners have accomplished half of that goal. But that the Rams have accomplished fully and beaten all four teams so we shall see. Got a lot to talk about in terms of baseball. Yes. If Dante Whitner thanks, Akello, Witherspoon is soft wonder what he would have to say about one Clayton Kershaw. If you hadn't heard the news will tell you about that coming up next here on the Tolbert, Kruger and Brooks show. KNBR, 1045 and 68 overturned for San Jose from the Chilton Auto Body Traffic.

Chuckling here engaged in a fight near the fifty yard line this is a very chippy game throughout there is some personal drama, very personal, Ramsey, and tate have a public feud regarding a family situation. Ramsey has two young daughters with Tate's younger sister and even though it got should be right after the game. If you were watching it big midfield scrum according to our Jordan Ronin who covers the giants twenty, four, seven, three, sixty, five, but could have been worse because get this key Ramsey was waiting outside of the giants locker room for Tate to emerge. Does Dallas have legit beef on offensive pass interference call?

"Let's talk some aforementioned cowboys in La taken on the rams. Here we go. Brandon boys down three DAK finds Michael Gallup down the sideline third and ten get him into field goal range but but hang on wait one second. A flag is thrown on the play for offense, a pass interference Gallup flag for contact with Jalen Ramsey and. The cowboys rams win it twenty to seventeen spoiling Mike. McCarthy's debut spoiling DAX season opener spoiling will you get how spoiling works? Here's the head coach on that costly pass interference call. Re I really didn't see a replay of it just watching it live. It looked like two guys hand fighting I thought it was well executed. I was I was surprised a call there. either. Way So. Very obviously disappointed in the in the call particularly at that point in the game I I thought they live both teams play tonight and you know you just don't usually see that particularly. Critical point a game. So I have not seen a it. That's about as much as I can comment on. It was clear as day they wouldn't have called then I would have been. Highly upset So it was clear as day opinion. Also. But that's what I. That's what I saw in filled out there. All right. Then the lots of get to in this one, let's start with that offensive. Pi Brandon. You've been moaning and groaning through these highlights. Did you think it was a call or not what you make of it? I'll say this by the letter of the law, this was the right call but this is the call that frustrates wide receivers and quarterbacks around the glow. Alright because when you look at it, who's the first to really engage in hand combat down the sideline jail? It's usually the generally be. Of course Yup. So what are you re Mr referee what do you want me to do? Jalen has my arm. How do I get my arm away? We're taught not to be violent with the shove and not to be violent what the separation. This Gallup did exactly what he was supposed to do. Now I will say this nick let me ask you this question was the game play. The game was played with an essay, right? L. A., Hollywood. Do. You know fun fact Jalen Jalen Ramsey his his hand coach Berry. Nez. Did a phenomenal job with them. The best thing about this was Jalen Ramsey acting job he added like. Shove to the sideline. Yeah. That was the best part about it. That's why he got this call. It reminds me of the basketball players flopping. This was a bad call, but we really look at the law if we want to see this call change moving forward.

PODCASTS if you have a question drop it in there and we'll see if we can get an answer for you all right buck let's jump in I hear Jalen Ramsey just your thoughts initially when this went down man I think this is the theme for this Season Gentlemen is general managers have to make a decision do I value players do picks we've seen in pulls scenarios where teams have to make a decision would I rather get a blue chip player that I know as a blue chip player rather hold onto these picks and hopes of getting the same kind of player down the line and we're seeing these teams that feel like they're close they're close to being a a a title contender they're willing to take the proven player we so with Houston Texans when they made the move for Laremy Tunsil we saw with The rams making this move for Jalen Ramsey even saw with the Seattle seahawks making a move for David Clowney teams are willing to look at what players have done in the league and they're saying I would rather take this guy over what could be down the road and we'll see how turns out but I actually liked this move for the rams because I know it doesn't solve a direct issue that was plaguing them but I do believe he gives them a other premier player on their roster another premium player at the position that he plays and ultimately when you're trying to build a championship team the more blue chip players that you have the better it is is for you to be Jason The holy grail you know it's it's really an interesting trait to me for a couple of different reasons now first of all start with what I love about it what I love about it as well I value the corner position I think it's important you have corners to me I look at the left tackle where I look at it rushers and I put a little more premium on that so that to me is something I I don't think that position typically warrants this type of compensation terms of trade so that that's the downside of it the analogy that I'll use book is this I'm not a big NASCAR Guy I know you grew up in North Carolina and went to school in North Carolina so I think we've come in in contact with it at some point in time this feels to me like they went into pit row and they took two tires and then they bounced there's it is quality over quantity and we WANNA get back on the track and we're going to try and win this race now other teams taking a little more patient approach they're going to get their four tires going to fill up the tank and opened eventually they're going to catch up and they have more sustainability I do think there are some risks there with doing this because you've eliminated some of the some of the picks going forward but it is of it is a star league and if you feel like you've got some star players now can that make up for some other roster deficiencies we'll see I I just don't know if this offensive line the way it's constructed right now is a championship offensive line when you look at the last couple of years look at the Eagles offensive line loaded you look at last year the Patriots off the way they dominated very good group I don't necessarily put this rams group with those look I I understand where you're coming from him in both points talked about the left tackle on the edge rusher those being premier positions or positions that you really feel comfortable if you're gonNA make you go and get that and that corner may not be as ah you'd I will kind of push back and say that I believe that cornerback is probably more valuable now than ever given the shift that we're seeing quietly in the national football league with more teams going to man to man when you look at the teams that are at the top the New England patriots will kind of be the gold standard because right now they are locking people love to playing great defense are the reason able to play great defense because they're corners can play man-to-man Stefan Gilmore being the God is kind of leading the charge when you look at some of these other teams that are playing a really good defense to San Francisco a forty niners are playing more man demand and not blitzing bringing extra pressure to Detroit lies playing really good defense playing man to man I think the rams are looking at the league and seeing you're not going to be able to beat these top teams playing zone coverage and even oh marcus peters was not necessarily zone cover guy he was added preferred to play off he would give up too many completions in front of him to give the quarterback and easy way out they want to someone that could be A challenge the receivers more of the line of scrimmage what Jalen Ramsey can do and then when you talk about the Nascar analogy you talk about going to Pirot and making the decision do more quality or quantity do I will offer we're done or do I just want to get to and see if we can ride this out and win the race before it all goes out I think that's what the rams are doing I think that's kind of been their strategy going forward they are going to assemble as as many acquired many blue chip players as they can and they're basically are willing to auction them off so last year they made a move for markets Peterson with all they're gonNA do it in a deal where they got rid marcus pitas before they ever had to deal with the end of the deal and maybe just maybe for Jalen Ramsey maybe this is just an expensive rental car maybe this is one where they rent but they they never own is at least own deal I have to do in college when you got your furniture they get them maybe they keep him for four calendar year in the next year at the same time maybe they spin them off and get some of those assets back if they see that they're not going to be able to resign them I think we're less need and Sean mcvay in these guys are doing is they're trying to build the best roster for the hearing now and and I don't think you can argue about Jalen Ramsey being a top five player one premier players at his position it just doesn't impact or upgrade opposition knee which is real office a lot but I don't know what else was out there for them to upgrade that outside of trump Williams being potentially available in Washington if they weren't trying to make a deal I don't know if they could go in solve that via trade I think it's interesting though it really is you have teams and forget the word tanking I just think you have teams looking at short term and you have teams looking at long-term and how they how operating right now it's the you know to me you look at that trade with Khalil Mack who obviously the raiders got ripped for all the raiders are playing the long game and the bears haven't got to the finish line yet they have right now teams not looking so great so now you have of a raiders team it's collected going with the quantity over quality approach and right now at the racing over we don't know you know we know Khalil Mack but the bears haven't really won anything they don't have they don't have a super bowl title and the raiders are playing that long game we'll see who which one of these teams has a chance to get to the finish line it's the same thing when you look at Houston look Miami's doing Houston being aggressive Miami obviously being a seller Jacksonville being a seller it's GonNa be interesting to watch this after this can these guys get to the finish line with these aggressive moves yes so it's funny I had a conversation -secutive yesterday oughta drive we were talking about a Jalen Ramsey deal any say what you have to do is when you're making these moves you gotta look at Jalen Ramsey versus the twenty twenty class and twenty twenty one class you gotta look ahead and see okay if we are the LA rams say we finish in the twenties what potentially could be there would rather have Jalen Ramsey or player twenty two in the two thousand twenty class would I rather have jalen Ramsey or player in the mid twenties in two thousand twenty one if I'm saying that Jalen Ramsey is a better player then I'm willing to go all in and look at first pick doesn't mean as much because if we can say the Jalen Ramsey will upgrade to the point where we're going to be one of those teams only in the playoffs but maybe we're in the final four when you're talking about twenty nine thirty thirty one thirty two that plays a second round player so to get Jay the Ramsey for essential really a second round pick that has value and so look all of it requires some risks is just a matter of what are you willing to take on when it comes to certainty the certainty I'm willing to bank on as I noted Jalen Ramsey is a good player I've seen a plan is league as a great player there's some people who are willing to bank on the rejection the potential that another player prospect is going to be a really good plan to League is a gamble either way no look I praise the.

Jalen Ramsey's troubled Jaguars tenure ends with blockbuster trade to Rams

"Terms of Jalen Ramsey will talk about this he finally got what he wanted the end result the disgruntled corner headed to the Los Angeles Rams the Jaguars finally relented and Ramsey to the west coast for first round draft picks two of the one in twenty twenty one in two thousand twenty one also a fourth rounder in the two thousand twenty one draft here's a statement for Jaguars executive VP. Tom Coughlin given the situation with Jalen we made this decision based on what we thought is in the best interest of the Jacksonville Jaguars for this season and well into the future we feel the trade that we struck with the rams gives us great value for the next two drafts and remain confident that our team today will compete this season for a division title Jalen Wasser Productive Flair but the time came to move on and we wish him and his family the best in Los A- Angela here's head coach Doug marrone obviously I had a good relationship with him and we were working together to get them healthy on the field and that that's what my focus was so he can get on the field and help us you know win football games and now you know how concentrating on on the players gotta here and and getting our guys focused on on on Cincinnati I think in his league nothing ever really surprises me anymore you know especially from the business side of things I found out like everybody else did last night you know lately point Dave came in and told me Rams reporter Lindsey theory joins us from L. A. and Lindsey listen there's been a lot of coming and going and all Ryder roster changes what's the general reaction to all of the news from the rams this week Wendy for a team that's three and three and in the mid of a three game losing streak certainly renewed buzz and energy at the team facility this morning now I am told the Jalen Ramsey is in route to Los Angeles and he's expected here later this afternoon or the rams do expect that he will pass his physical and I am told that he could be on the field for them as soon as Sunday against the Falcons now this would be viewed as a move where the rams are going all in once again to try to make a repeat super bowl run but I am told the Rams really believe that this is a move for their long-term future keep to leave and Marcus Peters or playing the season on expiring contracts Ramsey has another season left and the rams do intend to sign him to a long term engine now as you mentioned he's not the only new face here at the facility today Kenny Young Austin Corbett also were here they have passed their physicals though remains to be seen if they will be at practice later this afternoon and one more note Wendy Safety John Johnson is headed to injured reserve because of shoulder injury. Lindsey thank you it was a rare blockbuster trade a few weeks now before the trading deadline Ramsey joined a small handful of veteran players traded for multiple first round picks in the last third two years or so Khalil Mack and Jay Cutler garnered big offers from the bears the dolphins move two first rounders for Ricky Williams and it too big halls to get Herschel Walker an Eric Dickerson listen we can go back to the jags but since June Ramsey is moving onto the rams let's start with what he means for the La Rams Right now we'll Wade Phillips now gets a play defense the way he wants to Wakefield's really wants to play in your face on the line of scrimmage with the defensive line pressure and then in your face on the live with men cover corners. He hasn't been able to do that to be honest with you with Marcus Peters Marcus Peters is not not played good man to man coverage needs a better zone corner so now wade having Jalen gets the opportunity to get back to Colin defense the way he wants to do it I'll be really interested to see if they use Jalen the way we want I bill belichick thrill reverse where you put him on the team's best number two receiver and then everybody else gets to get double teams opposing for the opposing offense but it makes their defense significantly best Champ Bailey the dion sanders I mean the great quarters you can do that lock him up and then roll the other side I think you'll see that the other thing that was curious for me was that Tom Coughlin mentioned that Jaguars were better this year and going forward I think maybe either that was miss written or because they're not speak they're not better by getting a great player out of there so I miss quotes tim so expe- Joe Joe Listen you were you were spot on Jalen Ramsey never changed his stance which is what you asserted from the get-go and I would assume just finally came to a point where it just made no sense to have him on a roster when he wasn't going to win this transaction happened yesterday the first thing came to my mind is how often the people I was always talking to that this was going to work out for Jalen Ramsey like there was no fretting I didn't hear any fear and now that this is resolved itself in the way that it has it kind of plays into the tone that I've been hearing all along now I was talking to a source obviously familiar with Jalen Ramsey. They said that he's excited considering this a fresh start to be with the rams I think one of the questions that I had in talking to ram source last night was why not hold onto Marcus Peters to have opposite Jalen Ramsey in terms of making this movie now one thing that the ram source said to me is that it looked like it was clear that less need did not want to pay marcus. Peters beyond this year he's eligible unrestrained the free agency next year and it was better just to rip off quote unquote the band-aid now so then it becomes well who is opposite Jalen Ramsey for this game against the Atlanta Falcons they mentioned that two thousand seventeen when cal Roby Coleman I came to the teen that he did fill in for a keep to Leon outside first and second down and then on Nichols would have him excuse me on third down having a nickel or sometimes have troy hill on the outside and then have an RC in the middle so expect something like that or combination of that against the Falcons either way Julio Jones saw the rams problems in the short turn no because the opposite of the ball is atrocious right now and that's been there issue as far as being a front now what I will say is it does play into them getting better though like we can focus on golfing what this offense has been doing but with the guy like Jalen Ramsey not only does he hell Aaron Donald give him a maybe a half a second more to get to the quarterback he also may be able to steal a possession to for you and this ninety four was out there so air down gets another piece on the back end that can help him hold off quarterbacks for a second for him to get there and that's that's really all I can think about so maybe you

Jalen Ramsey trade grades: Rams complete cornerback overhaul

"The rams have made a nother monster trade and this time they've traded for the best player available on the trade market Jalen Ramsey generally considered the best cover corner in the NFL extremely unhappy in Jacksonville it has been asking for a trade for weeks yeah is on his way to the ramps it is being reported by multiple sources now including Adam Schefter that the rams are acquiring jalen Ramsey for two first round picks a first round pick in twenty twenty a first round pick in twenty twenty one and a fourth round pick in twenty twenty one three total draft picks including two number ones all right king of the Ramle what he is saying I I'm so as soon as I traded Marcus Peters I thought are you initially said wait a minute keep Ta- Leib Injured Reserve yesterday Marsha I have no corner they have no corners could this be Jalen Ramsey and you're right yes it is Jalen Ramsey this is what I love about less need and Kevin often the ramps are constantly pushing their chips to the middle of the table you know three and three did not look good after that loss to San Francisco major upgrade to the defense ager upgraded the defense and by the way they also added a pretty good linebacker and Kenny foster and they added an offensive Lineman in Austin corporate earlier today for the Cleveland browns they are they are trying to accumulate Talat to turn this around at one correction you said Kenny foster it's Kenny Young's thirty on Kenny went to Ucla and was great at Ucla she was What's interesting now is what do I always pound on the table with the doctor bus pounded into me star driven town Yes star driven town star driven town no matter what you say star Driven Town Yep the rams now have five different players who are the top paid player at their position Jared Goff Yup uncooked. Yup Todd Gurley Aaron Donald and we assume jalen Ramsey we assume this trade is being made with the idea that Ramsey will sign a long term. term gas contract because if not it's all it's a lot to give up that is a lot every time the rams have wanted to sign somebody to a long term deal they've gotten because remember Marcus Peters on his fifth year option and there was plenty of speculation that the rams were not going to extend him now they've got a younger more accomplished cornerback in Jalen Ramsey who I think there's a much higher comfort level in signing for the long term and by the way he's going to be fun to talk to fun to cover he's a fascinating guy he's not afraid of a great quote and he also happens to be arguably the best cover corner in the NFL well and you have a guy like this it basically takes away half the field yes you just have to defend the other half 'cause you know Jalen Ramsey can guard the elite wide receivers that put him on an island silent or Dion island that's this guy and he's not even twenty five years old

Wendy he kept repeating that phrase multiple times throughout his media the reliability this morning and I think that that's him not completely closing the door that we're all he did say when I asked him straight out dicky requested trade you want lots traded and he said I had not communicated that and then obviously you have to follow up about his agent. You didn't fully close the door saying that no. I wanted to be your completely like that. Is there some uproot that there might be some validity what we've been hearing me Hainan seeing that this has been something that's been brewing probably for a little bit of time now so. I think what you were. Each phrase wants to continue to say it while he did say walk this year and he's been here for five years. He loves everything about teammates. I think he's questioned what you have to bring his question about whether he's feel value. He does have a role in the offense but it is minutes role than it was US last year and obviously you've been obsolete. I come in the steam because that kind of brings things to a head to where we're at right now. Wondering are we've seen the end of the era. Is this the beginning of something that we should be more concerned with or just going to blow over eventually because feel there's fire. I'm Greg it courtney. Thank you yeah I think in this case. It's fair to say there is some fire that smokes coming from Joe Joe. I'll ask you first of all about attentional trade market for digs if he were to move on well. I spoke to a team last night that I know would specifically definitely be interested in step on just because they expressly told me that and then last night I think an inquiry was made in they came back and said that they were told that Stefan was not going to be on the market and I see we're hearing during that today in terms of other people following up on the reporting what we do know about stuff on digs at here's a career worst three catches per game and five targets per game and and even though he's coming off a career-best production with over a thousand receiving yards and nine touchdowns his production in the two years prior to this season. It's still been under Adam Adam feeling and you know he's working with the new offensive coordinator and Kevin Stefanski and prior to that obviously was Pat Shurmur. WHO's the head coach of the giant so I think talk. You're looking at a receiver who feels like he can do more. You might even feel like he's the best receiver on the team and he's right. He is not a Mimi Guy in terms terms of how he portrays himself publicly. I've covered him a lot of times. I was there for the Minnesota miracle of so many of his games and by comparison you would definitely not put him out there but off in that sense but just listening to his words and the fact that he did leave the door open with certain things that he said he is letting you know that he is frustrated in that also think that that it fits within the era of athletes right now this season and last season being more vocal about their situations taking more control of where they feel like they can best flourish and I'm getting the hint although I have not talked to him directly or his agent that he's trying to let people know that he feels like everything is not completely kosher dill. It's funny you say that Joe Joe and I think Steve Young. You made the point two weeks ago with the genie sort of being out of the bottle I this is another example of a player. I think trying to sort take some control of a situation a situation that from his perspective is not working the way he'd like it to work yeah. I think it's a direct reflection on the quarterback play that that's been in Minnesota. Obviously his diminished role isn't because of injury or lack of talent. It's because the quarterback isn't getting everybody the ball right. Now I think last ask year when you see how everyone was involved in Adam dealing was getting the football step on digs with everyone was happy. Everyone was performing. Everyone was getting the ball. There were schematically. There were in situations where both of these guys were making big plays and that's what you're used to seeing from the Vikings and I think this year those players just aren't there and there's plays aren't there for those plays aren't necessarily there for Stefan digs for any of those past catches right now because of the quarterback play and I don't know if that's schematics. I don't know if that's simply the quarterback but I think he's unhappy with how he's being utilized and he's taking things into his own hands and to his credit. I've known for some time as well. He's never ever been me guy. He's never been so. This isn't necessarily about putting himself before the team I think at some point he has to look at his career and where he wants to go trajectory wise and make a decision and listening to talk. You almost felt like he had a little bit of emotion coming out when saying I'm a team guy and I'm not a me guy and I'm just trying to put the team. I listen as a football player. I know you can you've experienced this. We only have a certain amount of years and we only have a certain amount of time that we can go out there and play the game so you don't WanNa feel like that. You're wasting a season and I think that's why a lot of guys once they realize look. There's no chance for us to get to the playoffs this year. There's no chance that we're GONNA win in this division this year and teams on the flip side of that. I understand okay yeah. This season is pretty much over so let's try and get some value in some of these guys that are good football players and that's why we're seeing that more this year than maybe in years past. I thought the most interesting thing that he said Real quick when you're asking me if he was going to practice US I don't know I hope so. That's that was the less you know that he has expressed something to the team and he's maybe worried about how they reacted to. How that's what I'm thinking yeah I mean he he clearly was not one hundred percent sure you're next and Steve Young joins US now Steve. We have talked about this before given our conversations and I'm GONNA assume zoom. This doesn't surprise you that we're seeing another example of someone stepping up and saying this isn't working for me no players who are going to continue to demand what's going to be interesting. Is there is is there going to be a market and I think the Jalen Ramsey and if this situation does go forward and these guys are able to get to new teams I I think the ice will break because there are a number I mean everybody in the League has had moments star player now this star players that can do this because they're they're not. GonNa risk career other. You know non star players are not going to risk their careers to demand a trade this cut and so the star players going to say. I know there's a better place for me. I know there's a quarterback it'll throw me the ball and others office coordinator that will take care of me and that's going to continue to grow and I think this is a this is really the really important time Wendy right now awesome because of Jalen Ramsey doesn't get moved and digs does not get moved and the kind of kind of chill this whole thing and can stop it then this market will not not be kind of a burgeoning market but if they start to be able to be moved then everyone the legal realize I can make my way out of here and I wanna be somebody somewhere else and to the to the point just I it was victor. Rodman raw made it but the average career is three point two years in the NFL players are very aware of it. If I'm going to be great I'm going to be great right now. Well there's no question is a pivotal point in the league. We'll see digs by the way signed a five-year seventy two million dollars extension last year the thirteenth highest paid receiver currently in the

Jalen Ramsey: 'Disrespectful' Things, Front Office Led to Jaguars Trade Request

"Strikes jags best the Titans twenty to seven ending a four game skid in the AFC south series in avoiding the franchise's second and restart in four years the rookie QB postgame cabinet cabinet you know is also also experience with these guys and bam bam bam nine tells all getting closer and closer to and the family do it in a home for them has a lot of fun. what do we never thought I'd get this opportunity so now they do have it I got to make the most of it so. we're grateful for it but I know you know. through every have one of my career you know the situation and I may only get one so you got to make the most of it says on trendy now all right so with all eyes on Ramsey who may have played his final game for Jacksonville Menchu the sixth round picks starting his second consecutive game in place of the injured Nick Foles completed twenty of thirty passes two hundred for yours in those two scores chalk up Damien woody as one that is impressed with talk about going to miss a lot of these guys to get into these situations six round pick he's not afraid to swing into the ball in now to get us a big Bob product plan in that in that pack in that water I stay system where he will sling the ball fifty times a game is paying dividends early on in his career certainly is but let's not forget about that Jacksonville defense they sacked Marcus Mariota at nine at times including three by colitis Campbell his coach Doug Marrone eight real strong in the first game they get the Texans you know it's tough he really can't say enough about the consistency of what type of player he is to ten acetate ID has the way he goes about the game you know he's long he's relentless he it's just a great pro and it's it's very difficult to stand up here and you know and saying he had a hell of a move tonight another way that could you know I I never I haven't seen that yeah and back to Ramsey a rip with the Jaguars front office ultimately led to his trade request speaking on the seventeen weeks podcasts he said an upsetting conversation with Jack wars management after Sunday's loss to the Texans was the final push and that led him to seeking a trade earlier this week a source telling ESPN's Josina Anderson that Ramsay expects to be dealt before the Jaguars next game September twenty ninth at Denver Anderson reporting that Kansas city Baltimore Minnesota Oakland Philadelphia and Seattle have made enquiries and almost every team has placed the call so how about when this might get done Adam Schefter earlier on get up Jacksonville is determined to get its. price Jacksonville wants to wants for the guy to I think Jack's was gonna get to ones from old only I don't but I don't think it's gonna be terribly far off and so Jacksonville doesn't feel like it has to move him in told has what it wants and I think that they're not gonna move him into a hole the Jaguars have what they want with that offer comes in this weekend next week all right before the October twenty nine trade deadline will say we will indeed now Ramsey did say some disrespectful things were said on the other end referring to management he did not single out coach Doug Marrone after their disagreement as seen on the sideline in Houston Ramsey was active for Thursday's game against the Titans but might very well be as we mention his

Jalen Ramsey isn't backing down off trade request

"The Jalen Ramsey. AMC Trade Watch continues yesterday jags head coach Doug Marrone said Ramsey will play in tonight's game against the titans. The road was also asked about his relationship Cintas all pro corner. I've always had a good open relationship where we always been able to thought we sat down yesterday. We talked about what's going on as far as he. I don't like anything else in this profession behind us now his focus is on plan. You know my job being able to do the best job for the team right now. Well see now start with you I. I don't know how far we are past it but anyway. There's a game tonight and that certainly matters for both these teams. What's the latest with regards to Jones. Future will literally just talking to people around this situation within the last ten minutes and we all know that Jalen Ramsey is a hot topic because everyone's trying to figure out where he wants to go specially when he's demanding a trade and once out of Jacksonville so literally within the last five minutes I just tweeted that he is fine with playing tonight but does not anticipate -ticipant that he will be a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars by next Sunday because obviously he cannot play two games in the week per. NFL rules my understanding in terms of the teams that have made substantive inquiries for Jalen Ramsey include Baltimore include the cheese Eagles include Minnesota Seattle and Oakland but also that at least every team in the NFL outside of obviously Jacksonville have at least placed the call. There's not a team that wouldn't want somebody who's probably considered a top ten player in this league in a top corner corner in this league when you look at two of the teams that I mentioned within that tops six the chiefs and the eagles those teams that have allowed the most passing yards within the last two years since two thousand eighteen and certainly could be a final peace when you're talking about going to the postseason and doing beyond anchoring that secondary so there's been some discussion about this you know we're two games in confrontations as you both know perhaps get overblown but in fact happened on every side line probably every week or we are we. Are they moving on too quickly as everybody overreacting or is this a situation that simply has no other resolution think it's up to Jalen Ramsey. I think he's made a decision and his mind what what he wants to do and how he wants to move forward with his career and I think he's you know we know Jalen. Ramsey stands by his word right he when he says something about how he feels about whether it's about his play whether it's about another player whether the whether it's about his own respective situation you've taken for his word and you take it as the truth and I do believe that he'll be on a different team. Come next week in this whole situation isn't resolved with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Doug marrone and that he'll be and he'll have to figure it out elsewhere interesting words that he's been resolved because I think we can probably all agree that no in fact it hasn't especially if if if trade is the ultimate resolution and then it's not over yet. It's hard for me. I mean when I'm listening to this. I just want to say what what what's going on. It's two weeks into the season and I know you've been in situation. I know I have when you're playing football. There's always it was going to be heated exchange with a coach because they expect you to do one thing and and you're playing and you're doing your best and you're trying to do exactly what they want you to do but guess what you don't put your hands. Manzana coach you don't instantly say I want to be traded because it sends a message to everybody else in the locker room. That's aligning next to you that you don't want to be there so it'd be hard for me to go play tonight with a guy that says look yeah will play tonight but I won't be here next week and look when you get straight and it's not easy for you to go to a new place. Learn of defense live in in an apartment for months and just say yeah. I'M GONNA I'M GONNA come in here and I'm just going to be a key piece to you. If you're a winning team and you can go somewhere else to lose to no one's going to say he's going to go to a team and they're going to win so for me. It's hard to digest the whole process of look. Everyone has a platform. Now you have cell phones. You can say I want to be traded instantly and you know who's running the Jaguars up at the top. You know who's running that right now. I'm very well and he's old school coughlin. He's not going to say okay. I'll put up with this. He'd be happy right now. He later jalen would definitely one hundred percent selfish. She could not play tonight at all and just be protecting his self interest by protecting his body so that's not you know clearly the case if he's going to play tonight or do like the fact that he is playing shows that even though there may be some differences within the organization. He's still there for his team would agree with that. We're willing to play play. You know anything could happen in terms of getting at least we could certainly see a scratch as we get close to game

Jalen Ramsey Active, Will Start for Jaguars vs. Titans After Requesting Trade

"Moving onto jalen Ramsey he wants out of Jacksonville unfortunately for him he will be playing against the dines tonight for Jacksonville in Jacksonville the Jags all pro cornerback has requested a trade but we'll be active again with the trade seemingly coming sometime after the game so C. C. which contender should try to acquire Jalen Ramsey. I don't mean I it doesn't have to be a contender tender for me right now. We only played two games. Everyone's a contender the giants I think we make a quarterback's which we right back into this but I think there are certain places that would be better perform. I think the raiders Jon Gruden got the CAP space. They got a really young teen. They could use the corner play. They could also use a star going to Las Vegas the Tennessee Titans. I do believe coach coons. He was a legendary highschool coach coach at Ohio State. He only coastal hieaux until last year we took the job in Tennessee variable who has experienced at Ohio state went there and got him. He is a great defensive back coach in his hometown there with the Titan the raiders are the titans feel are the smoothest transitions for him for a guy that has that type of skill set big corner wants to play a lot of man to man and as we said before he's from Tennessee and wants to go back there and anytime if you can get a big time star like that in a smaller market like Tennessee yeah I think that they should look into that particularly when he's listed the titans previously before the season as a place he'd like to play sometimes you worry big-time star. Would he be happy going to a small market the size of the market in Jacksonville's not why he's unhappy and because of his roots in Tennessee he has already said Nashville would be a place. He wants to thirty proven that he can get national attention no no matter no matter what I mean he's he's one of the star players in the league and one of the faces of the League that we have on the defensive side of the ball one team you mentioned yesterday for I give a couple of others that that I thought really interesting was Philly Philly. Obviously is a contender philly that is the place where they need. I would argue help the most on the back end of their defense particularly the corners because is I liked now. Come Jenkins. I understand we're talking about phillies injuries those they deal with spate of season ending injuries for Philadelphia with how active Howie Roseman has been and how great he's been at almost manipulating the cap to free up space when they need it you would mention philly yesterday that to me is a really interesting fit. It would be something that if you're the Dallas cowboys and you see wait eagles got who the Eagles got jalen Ramsey at the not even at the deadline a month into the season that could be a game changer. I'M GONNA mention a team no one's attaching them to but I think they have the space the picks they have the need. What about the Los Angeles Angeles chargers now maybe they don't WanNa pay Jalen Ramsey they all they're going to have to pay Joey Bosa two guys but they have the cap space to do it? They they are right now. They know that last year they were this close to being the number one seed in the AFC Derwin James is going to come back at some point at the end of the season they already have an extraordinary corner in Casey Hayward but they're starting a guy who was an undrafted free agent couple years ago at the other corner spot if you added few had Casey Hayward Jalen Ramsey Ramsey winter when James comes back that immediately becomes far and away the best secondary in the NFL well for one next year to pay Joey Bosa Casey's already already making a bunch of money Derwin James you already know you're going to have to pay him now. Both of those guys being from Florida state sometime. You think that oh well. Maybe that would work well. Maybe that might Mike not work so I don't know they haven't been the most contract friendly to their player. Philip rivers doesn't have a contract so to me. That's a lot of money that a team that is not customary to pay a lot of money. I don't think they would have that kind of money tied up in their secondary. Just two more teams quickly obviously yesterday. We talked a lot about the chiefs. It's for the cheap since the best player available at the biggest position of need but I do think the chiefs would have real cap issues with that Patrick mahomes going to become the highest paid player forever a year from now. They paid tyreek Hill. They went they paid frank. Clark may be above market. Sammy Watkins they can get off him next year. If they want to play really well race you're adding the highest paid corner in. NFL history was what Jalen is going to become would be tough to keep an eye on the colts though called I mean the colts have enormous cap space the draft capital. They're obviously going to try to win without being a super explosive offense the culture. If I'm Chris Ballard with Andy I am calling Jacksonville and bill and trying to take their temperature on that but he plays his last game tonight for the Jaguars most likely absolutely that would be my guess about eight players to borough road

"I believe and it has nothing to do with fitness yeah. He's not Tom Brady. He's not drew brees but he's a lot better athlete than now he's. He's working with a lot more than him. He's a natural or of the football doesn't have to practice throwing the ball an awful lot. Don't spend a whole bunch of time in the all season working out in cleats and everything anything like the other guys do and that's because he's gifted that doesn't mean he can't overcome an arm injury because he's got far more arm town than those other guys i. I believe we'll be back back but I don't think he'll be back in the playoffs because I don't think the steelers even with the additional mink Fitzpatrick are going to be one of the top teams in the AFC the next couple of years. I also think we were already already seeing last year he did lead the NFL passing he also led the NFL and interceptions and we saw a team to go from thirteen wins to nine wins this year. I thought they were going to go to seven wins before before he got hurt so the era in my mind the steelers Big Ben can beating championships. I think that came to a close right after this play our let's stick with the steelers now they did trade their twenty twenty first round pick to the dolphins for safety Minka Fitzpatrick the eleventh overall picking last year's draft to ask the dolphins to trade him. I'm last week artsy. What do you make the move? I'm glad his mom got on twitter. It's like you get out of there because this is a key that and it's really not fair if we try to have a conversation about him and Jalen Ramsey and the same brown Jaylen has developed a reputation as far. He's going to be a guy. He's not a bad guy. He's not going to get in trouble. He's a family guy and everything but he's going to be a talker so that's gonNA robe certain people the wrong way this kid Mika has been a captain in high school. A stellar five star player in the Jersey area of accolades on and off the field in everywhere. He's been Nick Sabin talks about him being one of the most mature best football players that he's ever had he's one of the few players that gets through that rugged program Alabama without any significant injury and or surgery. He's twenty. Two years turns twenty-three in November. He is better than anyone in college football. That's in the secondary any free safety in college football any corner in college football so if you're able to get him in a trade. You don't have to pay him that signing bonus. That's the ugliest part of the contract so you've gotten through that yes he would be a great addition to any organization he is. He is well-thought-out well-thought-out he's a smart football player. He can play variety positions can play both safeties can play nickel in the slot. He's not a pure corner and sometimes Miami tried tried to. They utilize that versatility just a little too much art. If this had happened Saturday before for the steelers I'd give it an a plus because I think that first of all people understand he was drafted last year so he's not in another way. He's not like Jalen is that it's not like the rookie rookie contract about to expire. He's going to be on this incredibly cheap deal the next few years at a minimum and he was the eleven th pick of last year's draft but now he's a proven in commodity now we know he can play in the NFL that to me makes him as valuable as the fifth or sixth pick of this year's draft because it's a crapshoot in the the draft and you know that he is equality NFL player the reason for me when I saw the steelers traded form I was so shocked is with bin been now going to miss the year steelers over their next seven games before they get to their by the they'll be favored in tool so just going through. They'll be favored against a home against Cincinnati home against Miami Baltimore. CHARGERS INDY RAMS AT CLEVELAND. I believe it will be underdogs. They're staring at not only their first losing season in in fifteen years but a potential top eight big save toppled.

"You don't have to continue to lift a quarterback dumped a quarterback those are going to be called all sing all the time the refs watch the tape so then you start to develop a reputation nation in the first two weeks of the season those fifteen yard penalties on third down when you start giving teams lifelike that then other guys on the team say well. He got one that I can get one and now it's an immature football team. They're not used to win. He's got to get better and bakers. GotTa get better since week number four when he took over last season he's stone eighteen interceptions which leads the NFL so forget about the rest of the team. I'm not going to be little hotels accomplishments because it's really not the conversations sation. It's about our they gonna get to their goals and if these two players don't play their best mouse get he should be considered for defensive. MVP He should be considered acidity for getting twenty sacks. This season and bakers got to be able to clean up the turnovers. I covered the game last week and you have two guys in two different spectrums when we started the season Baker who we thought was a proven passer and Lamar who couldn't pass the football in now. Where are the? I'm not gonNA say where they are but the confidence that Lamar in coaching staff have is totally different than what Baker in those inception being in in those and being sold turnover Paul well how much of what bigger is going through his on him and how much of it is that offensive line also a little bit of both in and when you look at an offensive line you have to look at where the quarterback and this happens all the time. The offensive line is anticipating you to you to be a certain spot and they block accordingly when you start to move in the pocket. The D. Line sees where the quarterback moves. The offensive line doesn't so the defensive line gains an advantage if you move to the right or the left that's why you guys like Tom. Brady or some more more season guys they step up because it allows the offensive line to maintain their blocks so yeah there is some component of the browns offensive line but there's also some component of the quarterback I thought last night and look I'm being a little bit hard on on Cleveland..

"Let's go viral. Check this now from the worn ups before last night's Monday night football game defensive end Mouse Garrett showing he could throw as well that is a fifty yard spiral jets could've view cement quarterback last night. That's impressive man. This guy is a freak six five to eighty Jimmy. Did you see a miles gary. Did you see him in. ESPN the magazine. Did you see that's most see and do you know that they interviewed him and he said they said is there any problem areas any part brought to you. Don't like he goes. I could probably do a little better job leaks and you saw how incredible his body looked. He is so he's so dialed in to his physique and his conditioning. It is outstanding standing. I mean I just look at it for the articles. That's why I read the body issue Jimmy. You've never been you've ever for good for you today and I really enjoyed agenda magazine. It was a TV interview to TV interviews you you didn't read it and the body issue. I think she did all the bad. Let's see if there's one thing right now Jackson expert on the naked athletes that come out in those guarantees body Oh. BJ looks good doing like guide. Is I like look look cute. Okay sorry to start your morning rounds taking on the jets Monday night football here we go dell the cutie clear cut star last night finished with six catches one hundred sixty one yards and acquire long eighty nine yard touchdown browns win twenty three to three over the jets artsy. How impressive was Oh? BJ Last night very impressive oppresive. I talked to him before the game he was ready. He was looking forward to I mean he likes plan in Giants Stadium. Of course that was the home turf of their of the giants but I felt felt like he was going to play good. They've had a problem there with the jet so I thought he would have the big game. It was nice that he was able to get the big touchdown late to build a finish it off but he's looking you have a spectacular season told he's in the right place. You know watching it. Don't don't wear it watchman. Let's you're GONNA wear one four million so he wore one for two million. Oh you didn't wear during the game and by the way the there were a couple of things in this game that I previously might have derailed Odell mentally where he right after he makes this big play the reps making go off the field in the red zone Keith third down in the game is zero zero game still in the balance he was upset for moment then gathered himself and right here after Greg Williams did the Odell who've stuff and there was that back and forth this week he didn't do anything towards the sideline he didn't make any point gestures to where that is controversial today overshadowing shadowing how brilliant he was he reminded the whole worldwide. Some people say he's the best receiver in the NFL onto the steelers. Now Ben Rothlisberger will undergo season ending elbow surgery big band vowed in a statement to quote comeback stronger than ever next season Chris. What does the future hold for Rothlisberger Burger? Oh I believe he's going to make a comeback dues heart man. He has shown that throughout his career this is a hurdle but that's what the greatest athletes do. He's one of the most is talented quarterbacks. That's ever played the position tremendous athlete people talk about well. He's not a hard worker in everything he's gifted and every once in a while we we have people that come along. They don't have the most tremendous work ethic as far as preparation now the mental xs does he's got that but no he's not drew brees. He's he's not Tom Brady but he's a lot better athlete than him. I expect him to overcome this injury. I it's good for the steelers. I suppose that he's saying he's coming back and he's going to try to come back full full-strength. I happen to think that we're going to look back and say the last playoff game. Ben Rothlisberger ever played in was that shocking defeat at the hands of Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jaguars this is sometimes it happens real quick and this is one of the reasons why guys can list the missed opportunities because that year's all was a missed opportunity for the steelers dealers I wonder if they'll ever be on the prospect of a championship again with him. As the quarterback Big Ben in the body issue your after next now trying to go out of business sticking with the steelers now they traded their twenty twenty first round pick to the dolphins for safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. The eleventh overall pick can last year's draft who asked the dolphins to trade him last week nick. What do you make this move? This was shocking to me now. MINKA has enormous value because he's only in year two so he's still on the very cheap part of his rookie deal and he's better than a first round pick because he's proven he's a first round. Pick that you know is good so unlike other first round picks lottery. I'm shocked Pittsburgh. Though is the team that made the trade after they've found out about Ben's injury because this could be a top five pick that they could have used potentially on a quarterback to reboot this thing when Ben is done. They obviously don't do not WANNA reboot. Take this year off to a degree and then try to compete for championship again with Big Ben with an improved deepens but I was shocked that the steelers of the team that made this trade after they found out Ben's done for the I'm glad he asked for or trade because this is the kid who's done everything the right way. He's a Jersey Kid. Five Star decides to go to Alabama Nick Saban calls in one of the best players he's ever played form form one of the most mature players he's one of the few players to ever get out Alabama without an injury. He's young he's better than the first round pick not only because he's proven it but they'd given the most important part of the contract to him already the size to signing bonus. You don't have to give them a bonus. He only turns twenty three in November yet. There's not a kid in college. Football did as good as him absolutely not so I like the trade by the Pittsburgh steelers and I liked the demands of the player if you're GonNa side the tank first first time we've seen a team tank. The Guy should ask to be out of there because it is not safe to be a Miami Dolphin. Football is the ultimate team sport and if I can't depend on the talent level the guy next to me. I don't need to be there. I'm glad he got out of there. Speaking of guys who WanNa get out Jalen Ramsey may not be a Jag much longer that after he and head coach Doug Doug marrone got into a heated sideline exchange in Jacksonville's loss Sunday to the Texans now reports are Ramsey has requested a trade out the JAGS are looking king for a lease one first round pick I see see what do you make of this whole situation Jalen I. I wish we didn't see the sideline incident because you don't want to see something like that as far as the head coach and wanted to star players but with Jacksonville and how they have that team bill this was a combustible situation beginning it just boiled over into game. Jalen hadn't been happy there Jacksonville with a number of situations. They're in in Jacksonville how they're going to run their overall team. What kind of team they're going to put on the field? I don't believe that everyone should be able to demand a trait but if we not happy we not getting along. Tom Coughlin seems like he's got security there. I don't know how to coach could have any type of security. Jalen Ramsey pro football focus had him before the season number number two corner it. They're not going to sign him to a long term deal. They decided not not not the exercise that so you know if you draft a guy and he has played well and it's hard to say that you can draft a kid who's GonNa play better in his first four years in Jalen play like he is a supremely talented. He has unusual limp. He is unusually large fast for a corner he can play off in Maine. He can play often zone when he can bump and run. He's tough. He has the temperament he likes to game of football. So it's not working there. You decided not to exercise the option is time for him to get paid and get some security so he had to build to force his way out because him in the head coach are not seeing this is where it can be so frustrating if you're a fan of the team or just a fan of the league because it feels like Sun some teams in the perpetual rebuild. I don't want to say they're they're running a con because that's what it is but it can feel like that because okay so now you're going trae Jalen Ramsey for a first round pick and something in the hopes of what getting player Oh you're eighty percent as good as feel Ramsey like the the wind not paying him was to me so indefensible because you can't say a will the reason we didn't pain is we're not trying to win this year. You went out and paid nick foles. You kept glazed Campbell. You kept a lot of your deepest pain. I think it was I happen to think their general manager has an older school mentality than is going to work in the modern. NFL jail is a brash guy. Jalen contract is not up and so we said why would I pay you but it's because that top five of the draft number one jared Goff has been paid number two Carson Wentz has been paid number four Ezekiel Elliott's Kim paid. He's been as good or better than any of them. He's never missed a game. He's been first team all pro. Joey Bosa is the one who hasn't been paid but he's dealt with injuries and the chargers run a different type of financial organization then almost any team in the league as far as what his trade value is going to be that Laremy Tunsil trade might have skewed the marketplace for everybody because he's the same draft classes Jalen so on the same pay scale as far as when he would need to get his next big contract he went for two first and a second second now. I haven't anything the Texans overpaid in that instance. What if you're Jacksonville you're saying okay? Who's going to give us to I in a second? I don't know if that deal is going to be out there but he's going going to get moved. They made they set that in motion when they decided this offseason not to pay the most productive most available best player on their team important to know this didn't stem just from the one sideline altercation with Doug marrone for the casual fan who was watching this wasn't a layer got into an argument and said I want him. Let's move onto the saints now. Drew brees will reportedly have surgery on his thumb. After tearing a ligament mint in Sunday's loss to the rams the surgery would sideline him approximately six weeks but Sean Payton says breeze will seek a second opinion nick. Consuming BREES IS AL for an extended period time. How does this saints offense change because the assumption is it's going to teddy? Bridgewater is a different quarterback than drew brees a- and even if Teddy is the best backup quarterback in football that would reason that that would mean he's what better than five over six starting quarterbacks around Twenty Fifth Twenty six best quarterback in football at a minimum and Chris can expand on probably far better than I can about the XS knows about how the offense Vince will change the different type of routes. They'RE GONNA have to run the different types of protections because even though drew brees not known as the strongest armed quarterback in football he has a stronger arm then teddy bridgewater teddy bridgewater water the reason you can have the efficiency at Louisville and be the last pick of the first round the reason people could question if you're going to be a first round pick after that great college career because he's got something of a pop gun arm and that's before he dealt with devastating leg injury and in everything that's gone on since then and the pop up in a very weak arm I mean instead of a Bazooka popcorn to a shotgun exactly you know and so what I do I do WanNa for for the saints because there has been an element of I think over done optimism about them dealing with no breeze because everyone likes teddy and everyone's rooting for Teddy and so the point I want to make.

Jalen Ramsey's agent requested a trade after sideline clash

"Jalen Ramsey who is to me extraordinarily annoying jalen Ramsey has requested a trade aid from the Jaguars over the fact that he got into it with his head coach Doug marrone because he didn't like the idea as I did did like the idea of Jacksonville going for the win on the road and doing the two point conversion. What Dean is this brand new. What do you make yeah. I wouldn't couch this this this situation and potential accidents in those terms. I mean this. This goes back to last year. Ramsey was disciplined by the team early early in training camp for some stuff that was going on between him and some some teammates and some comments that he then put on his Social Media you know he's one of these guys who who has lost it and let his emotions get the better of them time and again on the sidelines and that runs counter to what Tom Coughlin stands dance for although I would say that it's pretty much been hallmark of these jags teams under Doug marrone. You know the the the lack of discipline when the selfish play the the guys putting themselves before the team with some of the silly penalties and and antics you know we saw it again even in week. One with miles jackets ejected from the game refuses to get off the field. I mean that's been far too prevalent so it's been brewing between him and marrone and really the whole Organization for over a year and he didn't get paid after year three even though he would make the claim he's the best corner and football ethic. He thinks he's better than half the quarterbacks in the League to if you go back to g q article a year ago so this is not like a new development I had to. NFL personnel guys reach out to me last week and both say you know I guarantee you. Jalen. Ramsey is traded before the deadline and that was before this sideline blow up if you're not gonNA pay him and he's planning on already not looking at potential holdouts next year and if he's as much of a malcontent and you could get a lot for him and Nick foles out. I know you don't want to admit that you're rebuilding but you should have already started to rebuild and now you know foles hurt and it's going to be tough sledding and you may need a road to getting a young quarterback. It might be time to stock up on draft graphics. This is a guy you can get a lot for. There's a market for him right. There is a much the the attitude and some of the antics give others pause as well and it may it may end up limiting this this market somewhat and maybe they don't get you know every penny they should get in terms of draft capital and or players like he's a better player than Laremy Tunsil but they're not gonna get you know to ones in the two to go bill. O'Brien O'Brien only has a limited amount of draft picks he can't he can't trade you know every draft pick for the rest of that organization's history so I don. I don't know I think I didn't think a one plus something else for him for Randy. I do really awesome

"Welcome welcome back. We'll get to Ben Rothlisberger injury update in a second but first Monday night football Brown's jets Levian Bell catching short passes one guy miss hurdles over another for a seventeen eighteen yard gain agenda. I know you left that game saying okay we talked about. ILL BILL A lot last year but he's nice with it. He's a cook football man. He was the only weapon I've been the only one and he's still found a way to give you one hundred twenty yards from scrimmage in a game where no one could do anything for the jets all right well. This guy did something for the browns. LBJ pulling a sensational one handed catch with jets defenders all over him. He's got amazing hands. He practiced it. All the time spends a lot of a time added he works on his overall hand strength. He's just does that Jerry Rice drill with the bricks and everything we had on the show the video tremendous wide receiver receiver ready to have a really good seasons body's feeling good and was Baker Mayfield away. You can throw a ball nick. They should continue to be special hang on they'll wasn't done bader turns back yard pass into an eighty nine yard. Touchdown reached speeds up to twenty one point seven miles an hour on on this play. Oh yeah he's a little injured. The free safety was the only one on the field but Odell took away the angle. That's the reason why he cut back on. He wasn't going to get into a foot race because watch the safety the angle on him and then l. let me eat that and safety can't change directions quickly enough flip side Williams likes having those safeties lineup eighteen to twenty yards behind the line of scrimmage and this is what it's trying to prevent but when you're an athlete like Odell you're drawn dead with that much open space in front of them all right moving on so the worst case scenario has officially unfolded for the Pittsburgh steelers. Ben Rothlisberger will have surgery on his right elbow and will miss the remainder of the season. Ben Released a statement saying this assist shocking and heartbreaking for me to miss this much of a season and feel like I'm letting down so many people I can only trust God's plan but I'm completely determined to battle title through this challenging comeback stronger than ever next season. The steelers committed three years to me this off season and I fully intend to honor my contracts and reward them with championship level play. I feel my heart. I have a lot left to give all right nick. What does the future hold for Big Ben? Have we seen the last of him in Pittsburgh I. I don't think we've seen the last minute in Pittsburgh I take him at his word that he's going to try to come back and honor his contract and the steelers then we'll honor the thirtyish million per year. They owe him going forward over the next two who seasons after this year on that contract. I do think that win big bins done playing we will say the last playoff game. Ben Rothlisberger overplayed in was that shocking home defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars after the steelers thirteen and three season in twenty seventeen. I I think that while Ben is planning on coming back the team he comes back to is going to be one of the least talented teams. He's ever played for just like the team he's on right. Now is one of the least talented teams ever played for big. Ben will be aged thirty eight. He turns thirty eight in March. Only seventeen quarterbacks in league history of even even started a season at that that age or older and I think you were seeing already admittedly very early parts of the season a deterioration ration- in his play that you would not expect to all of a sudden jump in the other direction after an injury and lastly Big Ben is not Tom Brady and he is not drew brees. When it comes to health nutrition working out you can throw Eli and probably Philip rivers in there too who both take care absolutely and and now big Ben has had a playing weight that has fit his playing style? He's a rugged quarterback. He takes hits. He shakes off hits. He's a warrior warrior in the pocket all those things but a guy like that that's going to now be away from football longer than he's been at any point in his life. The Guy who two years ago two years ago was contemplating retirement the idea that he's going to attack this rehabilitation with the victory would at twenty five. I don't see it and so I it's devastating for the steelers. He's saying all the right things but I think the best days of big banner behind him and I think the steelers a super bowl contender with big ben is their a quarterback those the book the chapter got closed on that of the book closed on that Midwest rejoin the. I don't think he's going to retire. I believe in that. He's GonNa play again again. I just don't think the team is going to be good enough or he's going to be good enough. Yeah I disagree with you and it's it's impossible to get to where bin is is in his football career and everything that he's been through members in that bad motorcycle accident yeah and I've seen been played her so much so to me you know what you're saying about the other quarterbacks and everything is true. Tom Brady drew brees Philip rivers ally these guys are in tremendous tremendous shape but none of those guys are athlete. Ben Rothlisberger is none of them have the talent Ben Rothlisberger does if you ask all them and and they were telling the truth Tom Brady eight men. Would you rather take Ben Rothlisberger tools and Tom won a lot in everything even like yes. His physical skills is big as he is as Nimble as he is in the pocket he can throw a ball any type of way. You want to talk about Patty mahomes varying the speed. Tell me what Ben Rothlisberger can't do throw it to the flat. Throw it across the Middle Intermediate put some loft on it bomb someone deep down the middle he could make every type of throw. He's been every type of game in the guy's got got heart you don't get to where he is and play the way he's played and unless you have a big heart and this will be one of the biggest challenges of his career and this down about being in shape you don't have to go out and take over this whole new regiment all too sudden become a Vegan and everything hey cam. Newton went out camping gray say Kelly camp came. Throw the ball so the nutrition part don't have throwing the ball and that's all we want to do unless you come back during the read option or something but I believe that Ben Roethlisberger will respond to this yes he did talk about retirement a couple years ago but obviously he made a recommitment to football and the Pittsburgh Organization. It's hard for me to believe over the next three years. They won't be in the playoffs. If they get their defense fixed. They'll be back in the playoffs there wide receiver coach Grace Sherman. He'll get those guys fixed if they give him one year in free agency. There's a bunch of veteran players that no ray sermon no his reputation bell come there in play in Pittsburgh for less money. It's not Tommy John Surgery. I believe been bounces back because all that fitness and everything it doesn't matter when you have the type of skill set and it speaks to what type of talent that been the you'd have to go down a whole bunch of quarterbacks the ones that are older and talk you too Aaron Rodgers and say who has more talented Ben Rothlisberger. None of those other guys do the only ones got more arm talent is Aaron Rogers. What about the state of the team? What do you think the team is will affect whether he comes back or how quickly he comes back? I think we can I. I'm almost ready to just put aside the idea that he won't come. I'm back. I don't think you release that statement and have the contracts that he just signed why because if they have an atrocious season is and I think it will be attributed even if it's unfair to simply to him not being there right now I I you know I was skeptical on them even with him but now if if they go five and eleven people will say a lot of people say well yeah of course I mean you lost your starting quarterback. What do you expect you lost a quarterback? WHO's been there? They've never had a losing losing record the entire time he's been the quarterback for the Pittsburgh steelers the only losing record the steelers have had this century was the year before he got there which allowed them to draft him in the middle of the first round fourteenth. Whatever was eleven pick out of Miami Ohio so no? I don't think he's coming back. I believe him on that. Now is are are they going to the same GM or are they going to have the same coach. What type of team or are they going to have? We know they're not going to have a first round. Pick this year. Because the MINKAH fitzpatrick trade instead they're going to have him replacing replacing the first round pick which will go to your point about upgrading the defense second-year player out Alabama but no. I believe he's coming back. I just don't think this team has a talent to offset a coming off. Injury deteriorated Ben Rothlisberger Chris Obviously disagrees what team could recover from losing three superstars in less than two years L. Bell Free Agency Gone Abie shot himself out yelled himself out of the bill and Ben Rothlisberger her when they start looking to the short future. Ben Rothlisberger is going to be a part of that all right. They will get their defense fix if they get their defense fix that is the key because then and coming back you don't have to put all that pressure on been the throw for five thousand when being comes back though I can guarantee you over four thousand yards next year they will get Otherwi- wide receivers Dante Moncrieff is I told people I'm glad twitter found out but I've been tone since the preseason he is not the answer. He is not a number to receive. Don't make him a bad person but he is not the answer opposite of James Washington and Juju Smith Schuster so I do believe Ben and we'll come back and I don't believe that the that the nutrition in all of those things have anything to do with the heart and the guy the size it he wants to be able to do something he doesn't have to change much of his regiment. Always gotTa do is listened to his physical therapist right. Ben Rothlisberger is one quarterback back in the off season when he last game when he takes his cleats off a lot of times he used to tell the quarterback first time he put them back on is when they go to training camp is because he is that gifted people might say oh he's lazy. We have had people in sports like that. We kept the Golfer. He don't practice a whole bunch right now. Oh He's dominating the PGA tour the guys gift. You might not like it. You might not be Your Cup of tea of course the Eaten Regiment and all that would he be better yes he he would but he doesn't have to speak so how talented he is all right the big news this morning. Ben Rothlisberger is done for the season steelers. Are Oh in two so we we shall see what lies ahead for the organization coming up. Can The saints stay in the playoff hunt until drew brees returns. That's next one person.

"I don't think <hes> i don't think they're all that mike ryan if he were certainly would be. I mean most people think that they are young young up and coming team. That is worth this hype hype. That's the general. I don't see how he's not good considering how good he was last year and considering added. This year aren't a whole lot of people who think that he's he's not going to be good no but but i'm saying the bill the very build up you're talking about lease a lot of room for failure leaves a lot of room for disappointment you know they're the it team right right now but but if if if they're going seven and nine or if they're not making the playoffs over sudden the whole <hes> scenario changes for how we perceive baker mayfield bill you mentioned how it'd be perceived if odell beckham said with baker said we kinda got it last year with jalen ramsey saying that stuff about a bunch of quarterbacks and that what was that received poorly. I feel like that was received. Well but jalen ramsey at the time didn't have whatever the resume is on odell beckham right now of controversies even though odell beckham jr crimes are are not actual crimes. They're just crimes against sportsmanship stuff in a quarterback is is different. That's just a different category plus. He'd be saying about the guy that and his former team drafted right so received yes it would be and there are other factors. Also there are we can vote over if you want to bend over over backward and give me all the other examples. That aren't the example i'm talking about. You can feel free to do that. You guys have all bent over backwards to explain to me how it something different than what i'm saying it also is that also is not by itself but also is the black guy is <hes> someone who has less leeway when it comes to being a jerk worked in sport.
