"He had 7 last season. The Chicago fire were 13th last season. Sorry, 12. There are 13 5th season, so they've gotten worse. I know what you're saying. You can't do it by himself, but certainly a player of that caliber. A player who, by the way, scored in his last three world cups. Only Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi can claim that besides gerda and shigeru. And here we are talking about him having one of the worst contracts in Major League Soccer. A player of that conversation more productive. I understand that Chicago fire may be bad, but you've not seen anything. At one point in this season, I know he was coming back from injury, but he was behind Brian Gutierrez, a U 20 prospect that wasn't allowed to go to the U 20 World Cup. You expect more for a player of his caliber and he's not washed. He's 31 years of age. He's prime age to be a very good footballer here, but he's not lived up to this contract. Say what you will. It's the Chicago fire. See what you will. It's the personnel around him. This contract has not been good. You know what I'll say her? He's a good friend of the show. She is. I want it on the record that this Jordan shakiri hate is Hercules Gomez, not sebi. So the next time he's on, he knows it was you. Wow. He knows it was you. What do you want me to say? I believe he's actually, he takes up more than 40%. 43. 43% of their expenditure there in Chicago. Yeah, it is really remarkable. A couple other bad ones. I see you protected your boy without pissarro. I didn't even think I rodolfo pizarro apologies. There you go. Okay, let's get to the good stuff. Who's got the best contract here, huh? Jalen Neal has the best contract, folks. Jalen Neil, who's a teenager, a center back for the LA galaxy, one of the positive positive moments of the allegation. She was given jailing Neal an opportunity to play. He's proven his worth. He's already had some national team call ups. He's given me mad miles Robinson vibes. He makes a $138,000. That is three times below the median, the average for a defender in Major League Soccer. I already told you, I see a new contract in his future and I see a potential sell to Europe very quickly for this defender that I just mentioned miles Robinson. He's of that vein athletic composed, even chipped in with a goal already this year. And in abysmal so far, season for the LA galaxy. He's been a ray of light. I'll go with jaylen Neal, but I will, for my friends and the other side of Los Angeles, honorable mention, then. Then he goes on a little bit more than $2 million and then he has 15 goals and like 7 or 8 assists in as many games. In Major League Soccer and in the concave Champions League, he is a man transformed and probably one of the best if not the best player right now in Comcast honorable mention to Danny buanga. Okay, can I give an honorable mention here a guy who I think is undervalued and underrated at the national team level and clearly here in Major League Soccer, Jeremy boba sea. I mean, the guy does nothing but bang home goals, no matter where he is. He did it in Portland. He's doing it in San Jose. This guy always needs to get paid more. When you talk about honey mukhtar, what do you always say? Get paid handy, but hold on a second. Hold on a second. And he should have a saying that because he needs to get paid, but I agree with you in Major League Soccer. You're not going to throw my man in the conversation with the U.S. men's national team right now. The Jeremy can play out wide. Don't sleep. Jeremy's versatile. You're only talking about Jeremy because he's from the D.C. area. I know you're ways. This is obsessed. I like Jamie. He's a very intelligent individual, but stop picking people because they live next to you. No, he doesn't. He doesn't need my help. He doesn't need my health. All right. I guess I was giving the homework to look at this from a team perspective, huh? So I'll start with the positive. Let's go with the best spenders, okay? The best spenders first. And I'm going with a team that's not on this list, but not too far outside of it actually. And that is LAFC. They're actually tenth in spending. Wow.

"Major League Soccer. Salary dump this week. Thanks to our good friends over at the MLS PA. Here's a look at some of the top earners. If you want more detailed in a very artistic look at this, I highly recommend the athletic. They had a great graphical breakdown of the expenditures by all the MLS teams, her, let's start with an analysis of the individual. You were given the homework assignment of picking out the best and worst contracts in all of Major League Soccer here in 2023. Let's start with let's start with the worst. Let's start on the negative here. Who's got the worst contract in MLS? Giordano has the worst contract in Major League Soccer. And even be his fault. But it is. He's got zero goals this season, the DP, the highest paid player in the league has zero goals this season. He had 7 last season. The Chicago fire were 13th last season. Sorry, 12. There are 13 5th season, so they've gotten worse. I know what you're saying. You can't do it by himself, but certainly a player of that caliber. "You have three forwards that you can play. They look better in the three 5 two. You can release your wing backs and both Raheem Edwards on the left and caligari on the right. Those guys are better going forward than they are defensively with Jalen Neil's development. You have another center back who you could put out there and trust. Doesn't it feel like, okay, we've reached the point. You have to make the switch. I think it does, and I know who didn't read the rundown now. It's lower in the rundown. But we can have this. I told you I was napping dirty. Yeah, that's true. You don't have a computer either. So I don't blame you for any of this. I personally blame Anders. I think that Greg vanny came to that realization in the second half. I just don't know if he'll if he'll play the card forward. Like if you listen to his press conference after that game, he was sort of effusive about their ability to get the ball in the positions he wants. Cause more chaos, like create more decisions for opposing defenders because I don't think they've been forcing back lines into a ton of difficult decisions. Like everything is happening in front of you. So it's a pretty, it's a pretty straightforward task for opponents until that second half. And that comes down to the movement oppressed and Judd. It puts yo village in a position where he is going to be better. The question I have, look at the transfer policy as well, two wingbacks coming out on U 22 deals. It feels to me like if you were going to do that, you at least had in your mind that this was a possibility. Otherwise, given the defensive issues over the last couple of seasons, why go get too young attacking full backs to play in a four man backline. That doesn't make sense to me, but I'm not in the rooms with the galaxy. Maybe they see those guys able to do that. To me, now it comes down to which of the forwards you choose. Yeah. You had to get one because araujo left. So you did. That makes sense from that standpoint, but I think you're right that if the wingers aren't producing at some point basing a system that needs two wingers to be productive, and even when you go back to last year, I almost feel like the wingers were an upgrade, and they were a problem last year. It was and Douglas Costa. And grand sear. And grancia. But at least those guys were more threatening and cabral wasn't able to finish, but he was getting in behind. He was pulling people outside to create room for the strikers and then making more dynamics or more space for poosh to be dynamic. And now you say, okay, well, memo is more of a guy that's going to be sort of in a half space or underneath, looking to tuck in and combine more closer to Delgado. And Boyd is he's more of a guy who wants to get it to feet and maybe try and face up one on one, even though that hasn't quite come off as of yet. So I think yeah, the idea of Judd does give you a little bit more as far as somebody that can really, I think the concern he was thinking about is defensively, how are these guys, how are these two strikers going to work together more so than can we push for goals? Because of course you want as many strikers on as possible. But in this case, I think Judd might give them a little bit more for now. The question is, if he hasn't done it by now, does he it seems strong that he doesn't want to go that direction?

"That pulled Charlotte to that side and that gave Caleb Wiley plenty of space and the kid he clearly reads it really well. He's very confident when he gets into the final third, especially when you consider that he's played most of his minutes as a wingback or even as a fullback. Looked like a winger in this one. It was just a really smart performance. And that is a type of player he's going to be, right? He's not a build around this guy type of attacker. If he ends up as an attacker, it's almost like Diego Rossi was for that great LAFC team. We're like, he wasn't creating the plays. He was making the hard runs in behind. And either hitting pullbacks across the face or getting onto that exact same pass. Like we saw in this one. And it's just like, I always want to see the U.S. produce more left backs. So I think I hope over time he does end up drifting deeper, but there is a really compelling argument to keep this kid in that three line in Atlantis four two three one because he knows how to let the other players make him better. And that is in and of itself a real big skill. Well, just going off your point there, I think you touched on Alfonso Davies was the first guy to do it correct me if I'm wrong. He's done it the most and at the youngest age. He's one of the, if not one of the best left backs in the world, but he can also play up top. And I think if you can be a Swiss Army knife, if this young kid 18 year olds is looking at anything, he's looking at Alfonso Davies to be like, I mean, he can play anywhere down the left hand side of the pitch, whether it's for national team country and club. And he's one of the best at doing it. What I do like when he is with Atlanta, he's 18 years old, and he is playing free. He's like an un scared 18 year old. So I love to see this. I hope he continues on this pathway because you just hate to see when you are such a young player. You get those two goals and then there's a little bit of maybe pressure added on you. So I'm hoping people in and around Atlanta United are almost not babying him, but just continue to be like, do what you need to do. Make mistakes. Take people on 'cause I think that's what made alfonsi's good to great is not being afraid to take three, four players on, not being afraid to take that final shot when you do have World Cup winners in your team. So I think it's like the best case scenario in the U.S. would be lucky to have them. So you have Caleb Wiley this week and Jalen Neil makes his first start with the galaxy on the 2222 side. 19 years old plays well shut out in Kansas City. Owen wolf, 18, we talked about it. It gets his first goal, but it looked very good. Noel buck. And others. It was a banner weekend. Miguel Perez for St. Louis. It's a banner weekend for young players. I think Atlanta looked fine in this game. We have some questions about their style of play, but I think we'll save those maybe for mid week here. I think he'll help the attack.
