It took me took me a while personally, not professionally, to recover after watching that game. I thought that the Celtics clearly blew a golden opportunity to go up three, two, going to Milwaukee tonight. It was really interesting. The one strategic thing that I want to point out that is fascinating that people should be looking for tonight. Is the Boston Celtics in game four had a lot of success going small with Derek white, Marcus smart, Jalen, Jason, and Al Horford at the 5. A lot of success with that lineup hadn't really used it in the postseason up until that game. Went back to it in game 5. And but adjusted by going a little bit bigger, playing Bobby portis and the rest is kind of history. Bobby Porter said 7 offensive rebounds against that small lineup. Yep. In the fourth quarter, or I should say in the game, he had 7 offensive rebounds. The Celtics had 5 offensive rebounds in the entire game and the buck said 17 in the game I want to say, yes, I think that is accurate. The one thing that and this is another thing Stan and I talked about just offensive rebounding and what do you do? I mean, is it all just, okay, I mean, I had a few that were just like, okay, well, Jews just gonna, it's gonna be a switch. Horford's gonna switch out or grant's gonna switch out onto drew, drew's gonna throw up some slop. No chance it's going in and Yanis is just, he rolled to the basket and just grabbed it and dunked it. And that happened like three times in the game. So what's interesting to me going forward for tonight is, do you go back to that small lineup? Do you abandon it? Are you gonna overcompensate for the offensive rebounding? You still could have won the game if Marcus smart and jaylen Brown didn't collide with one another on Giannis miss free throw? And the bucks went 6 for 6 from behind the three point line in the fourth quarter also, which needs to be mentioned. It wasn't a 100% because of did they really? So they were hitting shots. And it's a show. Making shots but I had to realize they made all 6 wow. Yeah. So that was also a humongous factor in them coming back and winning. But do you go smile? Do you stay small? Do you go bigger if rob Williams plays that obviously changes things? I have a bad feeling about him playing. Has a bone bruise. That's why he's missed the last two games, bone bruise in his knee. Same imagery that John morant has, by the way. So it shows you the nature of bone bruises in one, probably how painful they are, but to how they're definitely not one size fits all as far as how they impact people and the threshold of what guys try to play through. And it also probably is a lot different for a point guard who's a shifty as jaws. And who's already being hunted the way he was defensively? So what is sustainable in this series? Is anything sustainable, Chris? What are you thinking right now? These teams have just been like win loss win loss win loss. It's incredible. It's a really fun series. Giannis is Beyoncé had an unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable. Game 5. What do you think in going into game 6 or Celtics going to win this one on the road and force a game 7 or do you think the bucks kind of punch him in the mouth again? It's going to be the toughest game, I think that Boston's had at this iteration of this team just the atmosphere and Milwaukee. I mean, I think it was fair to maybe think this anyway, but certainly watching how stuff just played out in the Miami series. And watching how Phoenix is struggling, watching Golden State not put away a Memphis team that is shorthanded at the head of the snake. It's really fair to think that whoever wins a series becomes the favorite, at least for now, remaining in the playoffs. Certainly if Milwaukee wins in 6, but even if Boston comes back to win the last two, they will have survived a gauntlet like a physical gauntlet. If they win this series, if they come from behind to win the series, if they go into Milwaukee tonight and win this game, they easily could have won the last game. So I think the point you raised a few minutes ago is really, really important just to watch, to see does Boston seek to over correct something that barely cost him the game. They easily could have won the game despite all the stuff you just talked about. If not for a Bobby portis rebound, you kind of took all the words out of my mouth with regards to kind of you had asked me in our outline like pick out one thing about each series that you see as being key. I circled offensive rebounding and put exclamation points on either side of the phrase. Because from games one and two, game two, the bucks had a 13.2% offensive rebound rate, meaning that they grabbed 13% of their own misses and game two. Game three it was 26.5..

"Do they work opposite Jalen adjacent? Rob Williams, he's the right guy, opposite Jalen Jason. There's never really been from what I've been able to gather. Any type of de commitment from jaylen brown's been frustrating. He's been in on the lineup and he's only got what I think a couple of years left on his contract. You guys aren't thinking about that as well. But the idea that they're going to move jaylen Brown, I think it would take something huge. Like Damien little level huge to move jaylen Brown, which I think is the right thing to do. Jaylen Brown is an all star. He's an excellent two way player. The two of them, jaylen and Jason have played well off each other, well enough of each other to believe in them long term. That's kind of why I see it. How do you see things in Boston right now? I think the discussions about breaking them up are premature. I mean, if somebody blows you away with an offer, that's a different thing, right? But I wouldn't be proactively trying to break them up. This is their 5th full season together. And when I say full season, like that should have a big fat ass risk on it because every season three have been weird. Yeah, we're very strange times. But a quick review in their time together. This is, you know, as we tape today, they're 203 and one 35. That's a 600 winning percentage. So 600 winning percentage in their time together, Tatum and brown. A lot has changed around them during that time. And a lot of guys are coming gone. So quick review here because the real frustration for Celtics fans I'm sure aside from the record is just playoff failures, right? 2018, that's Tatum's rookie rookie year. They lose in the Eastern Conference Finals to Cleveland in game 7. They lost a LeBron. And Tatum was a rookie that year. We're really going to hold that over them. The next year they lose in the second round to the bucks. Now they're losing to Giannis. The next year they're in the Conference Finals again. So two Conference Finals appearances in their first three full years together, Tatum and brown. They lose to the heat who of course go to the finals. And then they lose the nets last year. And the first round, and that looks like backwards, it looks like regression because it's the first round. Right, but you lost to Kevin Durant who was playing like the best player on earth and James Harden. Along the way, you go from Kyrie as your leading scorer those first two post seasons to Kemba to now no Kemba no Kyrie, no Gordon Hayward not Terry Rozier. We've talked about this before, but like you don't have lost talent around them. The problem is not so much jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum as it is everything else. They've bled talent for three, four years running here and have not.

"There was some good numbers and some of them I think V rod did a great job pointing some of these out Brian rob forest big fan of his on this show quite a bit. He came up starting 5 brought the ideal starting 5 smart, Jalen Jason rob and Al was a plus 21.1 per hundred possessions which is an absolutely outrageous number. It's a small sample size considering they haven't really had everybody. Every game and jaylen's been out. He's the way to put Schroeder in, rob's had some injury problems. So it's not been a good chunk of data, but it's there. Defensively, they've turned things around. They went from a bottom 5 team and defense to a top 16 in that span and in that 11 game span of the second best defensive rating per hundred percentages the NBA only behind the red hot Phoenix Suns. Tana had 40 straight 30 point games or top ten rebounding team, top ten in assists and doing all of this, the injuries to rob the Jalen Schroeder, Richardson, et cetera, right? Really impressive. But if you look at the teams they've beaten, it's not like the greatest collection of talent out there in the league, magic, the raptors, the bucks without Giannis and Middleton, the Lakers who are an absolute dumpster fire and I'm enjoying that personally. The thunder who are not trying to win, the rockets who are not trying to win, not the best competition, so. Miami Heat game. So that's the only one. It's just in Miami game and I'll give Cleveland two because then I think it's a good team. Cleveland is so underrated. Yeah, they're very, very good. I wish I wish I put all my money on or not all my money, but the Cleveland Cleveland making the playoffs this year, I wish I wish I bet that line. Well, if you had bet that before the season started the odds were probably ridiculous. I think I don't quote me on this. Don't do a deep dive and try to assume expose me, but I'm pretty sure I saw a line that was plus 7 50 to make. It was either the play in or the playoffs. It's been a week or so since I saw it, but I was like, damn. Yeah, but how would you know that? How would you get on that? The way they're building the team, I guess. So you really would have had to have been if you're high on those guys in those players. I don't know, I didn't. Certainly. But I guess my question. Which we are, where we love it. Everybody loves to have public guys awesome. But so my question to get back to this is, you know, we've seen a nice turn around for Boston. The numbers are definitely encouraging in certain areas, but when you look at the competition, it's not the best. Are we getting too ahead of ourselves here with this team? Or is this actually something we can actually hold on to? I think we're getting ahead of ourselves, honestly. The beer obstacle shout out mask live was also kind of interesting to me about the ideal starting lineup because I don't think they've played particularly well. There's been a few games here and there,.

"If i'm if i'm correct if i'm on the right track now i think you are I wanna talk about boston for a second. The celtics brought like a third of their nba roster. Down here. peyton pritchard was down to play. Arnie smith was down to play. Romeo langford was down to play couple of the guys as well. But i want to focus on those three because the celtics. They got really lucky in getting dennis schroder at the price point yet they did is going to help them right away. But backcourt is still relatively thin and where it's not it's full of young players specifically those three guys that i mentioned purchaser came down here with a really aggressive attitude was just gunning had a couple of games. We had double digit. three point. attempts naismith struggled in the opener but came back and played really well in his second game. He is as you've seen in college a proven three point shooter. I don't know what to make of romeo langford anymore. I mean he's been injured his first couple of years had flashes last season. But it's probably make or break for him with the celtics this year but all those three guys. I just mentioned as far as being able to help your team like if you had to take one of them often like make him a part of your rotation who who you most bullish on amongst those three guys. I think just because he's got the size and the and the in the one in i in turn have a really good first year plus but i think naismith 'cause he's six seven he's got great shooting range and you know you can plug him in to a team around him with with great players they have and he can be a solid contributor What i would say about summer week with those three guys. What i love about. It is and what people don't realize is once the nba season ends the player dimension player development. A couple of times now. The player development guys grabbed these guys. I guarantee you not having talked to anybody that they probably were in the gym. All you know the last three months and now you get the summer league and you say like the average fan will say well why shooting so much. Why guy so aggressive while because you can't be aggressive when you're playing with jalen Jason tatum and jaylen brown. And so what you find out in summer league especially with the second year guys and that's the theme of summer league. This year is all these second year guys. That didn't have a summer league last year or along training camp. Is you put the work in behind the scenes. Let's see what you got in the summer. And i think that's the beauty of what the celtics did with these three guys but i think naismith to me probably has that most upside. I think peyton richards going to be in a league ten years. He's gonna be tj mcconnell. He's gonna be steve blake. He's going to be monte moore. She's going to be one of those guys that you always know..

"Guest. Ask alex and justin after the the list to tell me which name do they prefer. Which name would they accept in which name gets bronze grudgingly to possibly become a celtics trade target. Let's say it's a knee. Smith's rob williams. In two i or something like that. A mini godfather. At all this again is contingent on what happens to horford's contractor happens to smart contract analysts williams contracts so. This is very pie in the sky. That's what that's what the is all about. So here's our tier one go out in trade for people there's not that much reporting tobacco but screw that alex justin tummy which one you prefer. The most which one comes in second in is acceptable. And which one would you begrudgingly. Add to your wishlist. I and maybe most obviously carlin thinly. Karl anthony towns also. Cj mccall and. i added dream on green to the list. Because i think that things in golden state are gonna get expensive. And that's an ownership group crazy amount of money. But i still think draymond could be gotten so out of those three established readymade would be third likes to a big three. Which do you prefer. Would you accept which one would you begrudgingly. And the celtics. If those are the options. I would prefer karl anthony towns the three. I think that towns is a similar timeline to jalen. Jason and i think that His potential has largely been wasted in minnesota. I do not think he is a good defender. I think you would have to learn how to do that. But i think if you put him on a roster with jason jalen and potentially marcus that could cover for a lot of towns defensive is and it does have to be said. He is a superb offensive player and has been basically every year of his career at serra position. So he's the guy that i would like the most of those three. I think i would accept draymond. Green i liked draymond intensity readership defense and Just high level of basketball iq. I don't love that draymond. Green is on the older side of things. And i think there's kind of similar. There's a lot of kind of crossover with what you get from on green that you could get from our for for cheaper so i i'm a little bit less enthusiastic about that fit but draymond is one of my favorite players has been for some time of those i of the names. You mentioned kim. I am not particularly interested in. Cj mccollum. I think that cj is going to be pretty expensive. And i think he has had a pretty substantial injury history. I also think that he would be a little bit redundant from play style standpoint with jalen and jason in a way that a more talented players such as bradley beal could maybe not be would be by feels a little more adaptable his game. So i'm i'm pretty out on. Cj mccollum as a future celtic. I don't particularly love that. There is one other name that i think has to be mentioned in these conversations if if only because he is a star level player who is available however he is the player that i would like the least of all of these and it is ben simmons I don't anticipate this happening. I think that philly would likely ask for jalen brown and then brad stevens would have a good chuckle to himself and hang up the phone but it does have to be said that Ben simmons is pretty available right now and so could be gotten.

"Talk with the celtics. Let's do exactly that we're going to start with. Mr may daga new head coach of the boston celtics at the time of recording. I don't believe the details of his contract with the team have been announce but i'm sure that will be soon enough. This is boston's eighteenth coach but since early two thousands. It's just the doc rivers and brad stevens show so barring kind of disaster i suspect will be around for a while so let me swing it to you because your mouths aren't numb out. What was your immediate reaction to the hiring and now almost day removes have. Your thoughts changed at all. I was extremely pumped to see that. He may have been formally announced as the head at the head coach going forward for loyal listeners. If you listen to me last absurd and they'll episode before that and the episode. Before you'll know that i was beating the drum pretty hard for the celtics to hire yoka. I e has a ton of experience as an assistant under gregg popovich which is always a plus He is currently assistant for brooklyn nets. A lot of well not is not currently was this past season and i'm very excited about the possibility of running. Some of the kevin durant sets for jason tatum Gocha is respected by a wide variety of intelligent people in the league and most crucially. He has the endorsement of the celtics cornerstone players going. So i am thrilled. My thoughts haven't changed at all from the previous podcast. Mine really excited to dhaka era. And the last thing i'll say is that i am especially thrilled. But the celtics are making a very serious and dedicated commitment to having only attractive people in the organization going forward Folks if you haven't taken a look at dhaka just just do a quick google search man on him and let me know what you find. 'cause that's a good. What could matt right there. Just around out. He's married to the actress nia long so i don't think they have kids yet. I that is a looking hard hitting analysis from celtics lab. Justin odia thoughts dunka keeping with the hard hitting analysis. He doesn't just have the backing of the jays and marcus smart from their time on team. Usa almost two years ago. Now wow But he he also got the endorsement of al horford in the presser. Talk more about shortly. I'm wicked happy that they this guy on One of my editors Passed a very old interview with one of his teammates from nigerian national team of how basically fought their way out of a hostile arena after beating the national team. And if you haven't had a chance to find it whether it's my my take on it or any of the several others that are out there. Just look up nigerian national team fighting. You may adoga. It's quite a tale. Yeah who goes the first nigerian national to coach the nba. I believe just pretty exciting to rake barriers amount way. We've talked about him before. And i'm sure anybody's listening knows background to former player. He kinda grinded on the international circuit as well. He has been assistant with the spurs with the sixers. One al horford was with the sixers and muslim net. So he's going to bring kind of a wealth of experience of lead to the team. I have been really pumped about the offense that he can bring to the celtics because he's worked with the nets and he's worked with the spurs and the celtics probably won't have traditional guard of maybe marcus. Smart would senate. He is attrition. Or i don't know But adoga also really has strong defensive justin tacos about at what we know about. It's a loss vs on defense and actually just getting familiar with the myself. So i can't really speak too much but again bring the al horford al at plenty to say about on how he's been time working with him and he was always a consummate professional. They spend a lot of time working with him on defense when they together in philadelphia. So i'm really curious to see without horford now back in the fold how that is going to affect the celtics who admittedly were not very good. Defensive team was gone up particularly last season. I mean they really fell off a cliff. And i think that is probably a big part of the reason why both of them are on the celtics roster net again spent seven years with the spurs as an assistant so he has seen a team that reimagined that its identity several times with the same thesis. So it doesn't look like an action out some curious. Your thoughts the fact. That smart was so heavily consulted here or at least it's been reported as such suggests to me that the team is looking to make monumental changes to the core the roster alex thumbs up out a you. Can you tell us more about how you feel about that. And how daca fits into that. Yeah well i think. It's just another endorsement Marcus smart is considered one of the core guys for this team going forward and i think that that likely means that you could see the market smart extension happening either. This offseason next offseason. I don't necessarily think that it shuts the door on marcus. Smart then being traded after that extension signed particularly if that's the only way to acquire a third star player. But i do think it indicates that at the very least marcus going to be a part of this team for next year and probably more also think that it probably ups the chances that the celtics are on. They've openly stated that they want to do this at their intent on resigning for I think if you're starting marcus smart as your point guard. You probably need evan formula. Or somebody like having foreign aid to start the two to provide additional spacing and playmaking sto- The daca hiring has me feeling That it's highly likely that the celtics opening night starters for next season are going to be marcus. Smart evan forte. Jaylen brown jason. Tatum and al horford I will be interested to see what this means for the bench As we mentioned before who doku is He's got some offense chops but he really has a rap as being a defensive minded coach celtics bench was not a defensive minded adventure last season. So it'll be interested to see. Because i think that's likely where you're going to be seeing the biggest remaining roster changes furthest team going forward is who's going to be filling that bench but I think doco coming backing means that smart jalen. Jason are here to stay for the foreseeable future. The taught me sounds like that's the case here. There's nothing of course wrong with that it should be noted for any national analysts who are a.

"Stereo type guys. I'm doing great. You've been burning the candle of both ends telling people your books so we're really thankful to have you and this is the cell podcast and one of those future stars of the brooklyn nets is kyrie irving so we're going to actually look look back in the past. Maybe you can shine some light on some of the things that maybe celtics fans don't understand about what happened with kyrie in boston. So let's do exactly that. Of course look forward. The book is afford facing book. We were really interested in what the net zero too self absorbed to how nba players across the country are grappling with their startup with place in our these moments of racial reckoning and everything in between so we will look forward. But first we gotta talk about the breakup. Oh we wanna preface this by saying on this podcast were pretty understanding of car-o-van but if we have any snarky celtics fans keep an open mind because matt based on what i can understand about the book there's some really humanizing pieces of kyrie's story of durant story and how they came together so i actually do this. Give us your elevator. Pitch for the book against both can't knock the hustle inside the season of protests for the brooklyn nets superstars. It tomorrow gives us your elevator. Pitch in how you decided to write. This story was To go beyond the game right. I as i told kevin durant a soul. Kyrie no offense. But i'm not that interested in your stuff on the court was didn't really well documented and so this book is not only about tracing the nets off the court through what i stumbled into a historic year but really every chapter flashes back and forth over the last decade. And how far. We've constance the decision not just in terms of its repercussions on basketball but on race politics health. Fashioned fame phantoms. Those you name it. And i came to it basically comes my old mentor editor in chief at a magazine david grainger. I used to work there when i was in my early. Twenties went on to work at the atlantic new york times. The guardian bleacher report all sorts of places but he emailed me one day literary agent. Now i said somebody should write a book that was the subject line dot dot dot said about the nets. Starting today new owner is kyrie crazy candy on the on the comeback and he said who's the best writer you know in brooklyn aggression. I would. i'd always been an editor. And i was walking down the street walking my dog and i ran into my neighbor. Fellow dookie Jay williams and we just got to talking. He's obviously had his kind of on again off again. Friendship with was durant but you know teams a lot of characters. There's so much more than haven't been out there. And these guys have been so misrepresented in the media that someone like you like a real journalist just a sports nerd offense world. Canals could really do right by these guys and so i went in and took an unvarnished. Look the nets. let me in for a year. I don't think they really wanted to kind of made them. And you know. I think it's an unapologetically fair book To these stars in world and entities nets. We've had a really historic last couple of years. Yeah i mean it's it's interesting the decision because there's so much about trying to understand pathologists career which in itself is a ridiculous thing that we do fans media members but i can't understand carriers understanding lebron and i don't. I suspected that really important for the book. But i know that the book is much more about the people that carry durant or trying to come not the people that led them there. So let's let's start back in boston but before we look ahead and let's look at kyw's time as a celtic and i'm gonna ask you tell a story in the book about a meeting. Kyri durant had a kyri suburban home in boston in the winter. Twenty thousand nine hundred and without giving any oilers. Can you of walk through that. That meeting ends. How kyrie goes from telling season ticket holders I'm sticking around in boston if you let me too. I need to go to on with kevin It seems there's a a window of just a few weeks for things. Change pretty rapidly. You know if. I could rewind even further. I think it's like a window of a couple of months so you got the summer of eighteen and kyw's recovering from a bad knee injury. He goes to vegas with k. D. in their entourage is kind of his friends and then he heads Battle through rehab over the summer especially these muscular pickup games. Guys like zach levine holdings organiz jamal crawford kinda crappy little jim then one day shows up in the bleachers with a cane and a celtics hat bill russell and he watches these guys doing these one hundred twenty five point runs and then afterward you know these. These all-stars would would pull up jamal. Murray was there the guys almost campfire style with real bleacher seats around the bleachers. And mr russell's shall we say would tell a couple stories for a few minutes and everybody go home and come back the next day. He'd show up again by the beach. It's talk for half hour an hour and talk about real life stuff like freedom rides in the sixties. What have you. And then what i understand. In what i reported kyran mr russell would would break off alone and and talk celtics and it was around this time. According to his friend lived with them and stayed with him in seattle that summer He said quote. It was like this power shift going on in boston. You know basically as jalen jason Showed out while. I was down playoffs quote and then he also realized. Wait a minute. I'm trying to champion boston. But now that i'm looking at the history of boston. Is this a city that i want to champion in terms of racial history and stuff like that. Is boston the type of place. I wanna represent so we can get into some of that race up in a second but but anyway so k. Goes from there to the standing rock reservation where he kinda sets his beard straight with. Ensue routes Has been direct messaging me on instagram. Sixty seven page supreme court decisions on indigenous land rights. Let's get to that layer anyway. Kyw promises the fans up. There in. Boston assigned the extension and then his grandfather does. You'd have this whole spiritual connection with his family. His mom and then the grandfather die out so that he would end up telling katie as when quote anything. I was doing basketball. I didn't really care. And so like poof. He's done with boston. And then i've got this kind of the previous stuff reports in my book. A mentioned up there in west and Katie i comes in january twenty fifth twenty nineteen or about celtics on national. Tv dinner kyrie's house winds flow and vegan. Burgers egan smoothies. They're playing two ks themselves and it just from that moment on. They started to be all in on the nets and the idea that they could control that franchise more than they kind of walk into existing ones In golden state in boston so you know katie was kind of over it with golden state and he'd basic side brooklyn while he was playing in the finals for them. So these guys were on a path on a collision pass you know and and leaving a lot of explosive material behind. Yeah i mean. We've talked about on this podcast. The brief heads of racism in boston the twentieth twenty-first century..

"Thanks for coming out, takes up, Jaylen, Brown is obviously a star, but that's when we're talking about, you know, if players, you know, for about Jalen Jason and players not seeming to fit in with them or this. That, and the other thing, I think, at some point, you know, if you, if you have to stay between one of the two guys, I think we all agree that Tatum is his number was a guy and, and, and Browns and number two, guy if you decide between one of them your runs over. So you gotta figure out how to make them both. You have to get, like, I'm reading the go down with the ship, like until they both both contracts expire know, down the road. The only choice in Joseph says, no, it's not. I mean how do you get the legal reason? I don't think. I don't think this offseason. You're thinking do you have not the Sox? No, no. Of course, I'm not trying to get rid of one of them. I think I'm just saying I'm talking about tennis players that fit and players that don't get paid before the season started. I agree. You have to do, you have to do everything. Brad Stevens is. Number one job is to build the roster. Wear, sneakers, fit around him a brown so far, it hasn't happened. So we'll see the camera moves a good start because ultimately, he wasn't going to be able to fit into that Dynamic. We had a sense that that was the case. Very, very early last season. Are they better better now? I mean, if you, I think so real, you think the team on the court is better now day than it was before the trade. I really think they are no jobs because because of the defense, the unreliability in terms of it would have been just as good putting them on the bench. So, no, the answer is but you can't put him on the it's like what we just watched for Ben Simmons, Jersey. And have a thirty million dollars, you get enough in return to justify, you got players in positions that weren't necessarily positions of need. You got things that you need a defense passing shooting in Horford, he is a much better fit on this roster and Kemba and frankly he might be spending a fire at this point. He's only he's he might be a better fit but you have nothing to replace Kemba with. You don't, you don't have to, you can't replace the scoring and you don't have a point guard right now. So the whole it leaves on this team is bigger than whatever you create by adding what you added. So they're worse today in my opinion. They're worse, does it? But, um, there's nothing. No default. So you want you going Rob? Horford, Tatum Sam's, never forward. You're running double big shooting guard. Yeah, I'm twenty-eight, we doing this again, double big phone number again. They're running double bags. Okay, night. All right, thank you for twenty years but I keep probably starts. And I will come off the bench. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Well, Richard Nesmith Romeo, how does it want to buy the winning a certain age, you don't want that 5 spot know if they'll tell you that you're going to play Twenty or so minutes and you're probably going to play Live at the five, you're cool with that because that means you're wear-and-tear isn't going to be what it was off to expect you to play 30. 35 minutes at the five spot, that's the problem with your Al. You don't want to. You don't want that kind of smoke. Twenty minutes..

"I think we just missed the window in terms of Kimba as the All Star Kimber, right? I think we have not seen Tristan Thompson of No, my role and I'm extremely diligent and it Cleveland Cavaliers Championship form consistently with the Celtics room, And of course, we know that this team was hit pretty hard by covert earlier this year. So, um, I agree with you in that. I just don't know I shouldn't be. I don't know. I just don't believe that, as currently constructed. This is a team that's going to be able to seriously compete when you look at the way the playoffs are shaking out with other teams in the East. So if you're running the Boston Celtics, no matter what happens with this serious in the off season, What's the first thing that Monica McNutt would do if she was in charge of the Boston Celtics? Oh, man, buddy, Um I don't know my you forgive me, folks that maybe listen, I'm not up on everybody turns our situation, but I think you need I think I think you gotta move. Kimber. I think you may be considered. If you here's the deal you can't play for right now. And the future, right? If Tatum the few your guy then to me, everybody else is on the table if I don't get it if I could get the right situation, I'm not against blowing up at this point, because what you gonna do limp along? Like I just If you decide which Jalen, Jason or Jalen who is it? And if it's both of them? What does that look like? Other than that everybody's on the table. I'm sorry. So much for the future. Great stuff by my friend Monica Magnet, always a pleasure having on ESPN and also massive Oregon basketball outside just MBA. But basketball analyst joining me Freddie Coleman on Freddy and Fitzsimmons presented by Progressive Insurance and ESPN radio. The ESPN happened suit essentially 80, and we both agree. Especially in the MBA, especially the playoffs. Superstars matter. Superstars get it done with everybody knows that they're getting the basketball. Everything is running through them. And that is something right now that the New York Knicks have to figure out because the Boston Celtics they figure that out tonight. Down to nothing. Who's our superstar Jason Tatum. He better get the ball. Take him off the jab. Step one bounce. Fires from 18 directed.

"Your online Sportsbook experts. What opposing class are opposing teams are saying some teams are saying Jalen Jason or no leader. Sorry. Just wait. Let me ask you walk in Tysons, or what I want to ask is because this is something that I think has been a problem and I saw, you know right away in the beginning it seemed like they corrected it but then they went back to it. It seemed like they they they started the first Court like it was before it was like chemical kind of score or as it wasn't you've been saying that all see ball around and let's get the best dryer available and that used to be or at least some times throughout the season. You see that in the best example of that was because the folks who the Toronto Raptors right 30th, six twenty-three points like those three pointers. I'm not saying this up to go out there and drive 23 is a night. But the reason why they're able to break a record between Pritchard and show me or would you lay off again? Because when the ball swinging you're looking for the best shot necessarily the best player to take those the take those open shots more likely than not you're an NBA player who can shoot threes your wide open. You're going to make those and you keep home. And teams don't respect those guys, you know Pritchard ojeleye, you know Grant Williams when he was hot cocoa rotation. No not talking. I think I I think I think one of the things to empower these guys, well, I think one of the things that happens with this team is you you you watch the possessions home and watch and see if the ball gets stuck there many times from the ball gets stuck with Kimba that definitely get stuck with Jaylin Jason. Excuse me, Jason Jalen Jalen Brown. Normally he's going to do whatever it is. He's gone. You might even lose. It usually attack. He's he's going but if you look at Jason many times, it's double dribble dribble stutter-step shake you up the New Age game and that burns minutes that burn seconds off the clock and really doesn't get you so I think wage He's a great player but he has to execute a little bit more quickly everybody involved and then the key the defense off balance if I know I'm on the other side. I'm just waiting. I'm counting. Okay, he's going to drive over again. He's going to double again. He's going to double again..

"You know, certainly Chevrolet has seemingly kind of grasped his opportunity and he's actually looked starting to look like a guy who can move and dribble and pass and do more things and just stand in the corner and that's a mental thing than a physical thing those and Rob Williams. So you take those three four guys of drafts of recent years that have been kind of hung around Danny's, you know, neck of the last month, you know, three or four years and those guys start to show here in the next, you know month two months that they're NBA players. then I think we have a very different conversation you start trading Jaylen Brown now for the next guy you know maybe it works maybe a dozen but now we know know what you have you been alone yeah and you have chemistry that's hard to develop and you have them locked up on contracts oh absolutely and you know what you thought of something you wanted to say that was hilarious wage yo well which you were saying the the long-term contract thing The day of the the nonsense right the 6th and Insurrection, whatever I will get it all that but so on that night Jalen and Jack spoke to the media together. You know because they have a state before the game and you know, they had they kneeled before the game against Miami and they did the whole thing and then they spoke together off and I think that that was really really interesting because because we really haven't seen that everyone know everybody because they've never been like I don't know if this is the wrong word because I've never really been broey. Yes. Everybody is like oh but you know, are they really, you know going to be together? You know, it's a really good point. It's a really good point. I didn't catch that. Yeah, and and that's you know, that's two liters. That's and I'm sure that's Jaylen go to Jason and be like, hey, we should do this together on Jason's not somebody who puts himself out there. He's not someone who I think he has strong beliefs. I think he's shared those at times and you know, I believe he's yeah, but he's not out to be what Jaylen Brown Absolutely, not. You know, right? Yeah culturally or you know in society or as yeah, absolutely. I mean, I think he supports I don't think he disagrees about it, but it's just like Jimmy Buffet your head. He doesn't want to yeah, Jalen does Jalen Jason does Jason they do their own things. But the one thing what was it the question I'm trying to remember who was it was interviewed. It was right near the start of the Season or whatever and somebody asked him what something you didn't know and they and I can't remember who it was one of the younger players or something and they said I didn't realize how close Jason and Jaylen are off which I thought was really interesting because it might have been seeing. Yeah, I think it might have been because we don't that's not the the perception that we have on the outside edge with all the Instagram pictures, you know, they kind of do their own thing. But again, I always say this like every three shows I do this and it's just like that is what is the future wage? Steam like those two guys get along and it works. Then we're set. We're good. You know, we just need the stuff around them. Yeah, we do it around and not make mistakes that correct all the mistakes that we talked about with.
Who Should The Celtics Be Playing In Their Starting Lineup?
"We really should be focusing about the the best five guys that play together down the stretch. I mean it didn't matter tonight because it was they blew the doors off them, but you don't want to go down big game because you're starting the wrong guy, right but it's not even it's not even the where you're playing the guys you're looking at the guys who played the most minutes and tonight. It was Jalen Jason semi-gloss Pritchard and there are you guys and then it was actually Grant and it's hard to argue that those weren't your five best players. Right. Well, yeah. Those are your five best players tonight. We're Tatum Brown Richard Richard Grant Williams. Semi ojeleye, and they played the most minutes. So you're right at the end of the day. They did lean on the players that are playing best for

"It's over to wrap the Celtics have the best mid-range percentage shooting in a league. So any team that allows the mid-range shot is going to get killed. So I I have between jobs and Tatum and the little floater of brown, you know, all they gotta do is drive kick Drive kick. Yep. And and if they don't get respect then they drive and stop I mean think about that bass. On the fourth quarter as we wrap the show on this Kemba drives into the paint. This is why I think he might be getting some good stuff in the knee. He drives towards the paint sells it breaks his own ankles with a step back. I didn't even know angles could Bend like that and then leans back gets up done. And and that's all they gotta do. Keep them packed in tight. Keep them out on the perimeter and then, you know between the two different styles of Kemba and Tatum and brown if they do offer, you know, sort of soften up he can just go up with the floater they find ways to get those points. So you're right. It's all and remember 3.3 indeed the mid greens game is dead. And and what's Brad doing? He's using it the minute. It's opened up. He's like, yeah, let's attack that shit. Let's go get that, you know old it's old school. Cool, dude, and who got they have great. Yeah, they have great players who take advantage of I mean really, I mean think of think of the guys I mean, would you when you see Jalen Jason and Campbell even smart really pull up in the mid-range. Do you ever are you worried? Does it ever cross? You think? It's automatic? I mean, think I shouldn't be worried about it. That's what I'm saying. Like that is basketball. So that's why I love it. I mean you watch all the old games and I'm even talking after they put in the three-point line for a long time. It's still was that mid-range game of me. That's been a skip all you collapse the defense and then you find the soft spot, you know, and you always and the old days you always wanted to be a closer shot was a higher percentage shot. Right and then the three-point line the three-point line came in and then they looked at it there like and even Brad subscribes to this like we know this is part of Brad strategy and Brad Definitely played three in D, you know for for I mean think about the J crowd or you know, that whole era was all three Indi..

"That in every turn He's he's a very loyal person he's the you know. The Milwaukee Bucks are the team that drafted him. They're the team that took him in. And you know made Milwaukee a home for him and his family And Look. I think that it's really interesting with how they've tried to build around him. And their attempts to go all in before free agency as opposed to keeping a few assets and pitching him on inability to build around him throughout his prime. But when I look around like he just doesn't seem like someone who will leave and until the job is done like I i. Just don't see that in him and his personality and and just he's not a quitter he's got too much backbone Too much resolve his not a quitter and unless they go out in super embarrassing fashion and it's clear as day that they've really missed Malcolm Brogden I just I feel like the the fact that he gets better every year the fact that they have this system that just works so well around him and a lot of the issues that they're likely to have if they do not win the championship are because of his own flaws and you see the improvements that he's already making with the three point shot and you know there's there's different areas that we've talked about that he can still get better at and so I just don't think he's GonNa Leaf and I think that also when you factor in all that money it's the supermax WCHS he's GonNa Take I love it. I'm going to shift gears on this podcast to another one that Zaylon Williamson then. We had some reports that he's back to practice with the Pelicans this week. But even before that I sent you my next bold prediction which was Zayn Williamson. We'll come back this year and he will make us forget that he was ever injured this season. And I know that sounds pretty hard to imagine given that it's been such a painful and the long wait here over the first couple months of the season. Where's I on? Why are the Pelicans on television without him again? God this sucks look how terrible they are the standings and everything else. I'm clinging to the memories of the preseason where he's just putting up monster numbers and crazy highlights and their offense looked so fun with him coming off the curls and and going downhill and I think that there are enough bad teams in the NBA. Right now it's pretty shocking. How many bad teams there are in the League? That's going to be able to come in and just do damage on a very regular basis against those teams. I'm not sure on like fifteen teams around the league. How they're really good deal with them? And I think that they're going to be in an adjustment period of like just trying to figure out the best way to guard him. I think he's going to have a big time impact and I'm not saying he's GonNa win rookie of the year because he's got such a You know a delayed start at other guys have been playing well. But I think that we're going to finally get our True Zion hype storm here over the next couple of months that we've been waiting patiently for I really since he left you so I had basically play the exact same thing except I took it one step further. I do think he's going to win. Rookie of the year and you are barbecue sauce bold all right keep going. Yeah so I mean Jonah ran has had a tremendous ricky air. Maybe he'll make the salt lake foolish but just Factoring in you know if they were to go into a bit of a Tailspin and and you know they load manage him as they have A little bit this season. There's really no other candidates that I feel like would I mean people want to vote for Zion. He's GonNa be Great. He's in a position. where the like the New Orleans? Pelicans have been terrible without him so he's positioned to have the narrative he can and You know they're only what five six games out of the eighty four. Say They could make a playoff push right exactly. So if he's the the the the catalyst there and the other candidates are like tyler hero and RJ. Barad in. I mean again John. Moran is probably the odds on favourite. But I don't know I feel Zion could win this award. Yeah so as of today Joe John Has a twenty eight game headstart. He hasn't played in every game for Memphis. That's pretty significant significant. I mean I don't think it's quite like Malcolm Brogdon type situation but we'll have to see how good sound is. And how quickly he is. I don't want to put too much pressure on here but I just think like in the back of my mind you know my my wheels are turning. I'm completely ready for my last bowl. Take your real quickly. I think we're we're going to have at least eight first time. NBA All stars this year. And I'm just GonNa give you some of the candidate names. I'm not saying all these guys are going to make it. But you got Jaylen Brown. Jason Tatum Pascal. SIAKA BAN OUTTA Baio democracy bonus. Malcolm Brogdon did Luca Danni Rudy. Gobert trae young Devon Booker Donovan. Donovan Mitchell Brandon Ingram. I think at least eight from that group can make it and maybe more I think Chicago all-star could look a lot different could feel different With all that new blood yeah. It's just a reminder that there's so much great talent in the League and this next generation coming up I I mean everyone here is Super Yang super inexperienced except basically a bear. That's really the only vet on this list Yeah it would be. It would be all these guys caliber. You could make all star caliber. You could make cases for each one of them breath. I'm glad that you put Jalen. Jason might might do children on the list. That was very nice of you and I. It seems to me that they're both locks in my opinion in but I'm sure we're going to go over this at a different time and date. I agree gritted teeth. I think they've got to be there. Boston steadiness so much of it goes to them you know and I oh I think even just positionally to finding spots for them on the rosters is not that difficult. Yeah and I mean. There's a couple other names that you could. We could throw on here that we've we've mentioned in the past. I think Spencer Dinwiddie is someone who is really making a push for for an all-star bid my guy devante grams fallen off a tiny bit. But I mean these guys are GonNa need name tags in Chicago. If we're just GONNA be wild of I'm looking forward to it. Did you have one more bowl. Take I have a couple. More one of them is yeah one of them super granular. But I feel like the open floor globe can handle it and I just want to get on the record with it in case actually happens I think that mantras herald will get a one hundred million dollar contract offer from the Atlanta Hawks. This summer wild. Wow you're even with the specific team. I like it are you. This sounds to me like you're just forecast Travis. schlink looking for his draymond he's looking for. I mean the Atlanta Hawks were in New York a couple of weeks ago and I had a chance to talk to Lloyd peers for a while after his pre-game scrum and we were just chatting reading about how you know everything about the Atlanta Hawks revolves around trae young not only trae young but trae young running pick and roll. That's that's what they focus on not like twenty four seven three sixty five. That's what it is. They want to be as effective as they possibly can and pick and roll with trae. Young and John Collins is a superb pick and roll partner but mantras Harrell is. I mean I think he's a next level pick and roll partner as we've seen with just how he operates with Lou Williams and if you're trying trying to accentuate trae young's strengths without necessarily allowing his weaknesses to grow. I feel like mantras just such a perfect fit with how they wanNA play in what they WANNA do. You can see it getting a massive payday this summer. I don't know this could be a test like the Kirilenko test with the Brooklyn Nets right. We're remember he got that crazy small contract. Everyone was like okay. Like what is pro if the clippers find a way to keep my trust herald this summer on a number that's like significantly only lasts what you're describing which I think is pretty accurate. Representation of what his market value is going to be. Are The questions about ball. Tampering really good a ramp up like I feel like this. There's GonNa be a very interesting test. Case for. The Microsoft Clipper ethics. You know what I mean. Yeah I mean I thought about that I if he resides there. You're right it's going to be and you didn't even mention the at a you know cast aspersions but Lou Williams contract which is just absolutely absurd in absurd deal like I. What is he making eight million dollars a year I think? And he's you know routinely one of the best offensive players off the bench in the League So we're going to get another investigation tight piece from Sam Amick of the athletic. You know quoting anonymous rival sources say. What are the clippers doing? I think we could Pencil Pencil. That in if mantras Harrell's back a reasonable number for the clippers. They will miss him though. I think it's a big looming potential story for them It'd be very very difficult to replace. Replace what he does for them. And I think you're absolutely right. There's going to be monster mega offers for him from other teams around the League as there should be. What's your last bold prediction I think that I wrote this down before Jonathan. Isaac suffered that in that knee injury last night in Washington. But I think either the Orlando Magic or the Detroit Pistons will blow it up entirely either before this trade deadline or or over the summer. So what does that even mean for the magic I mean what do they have that low up no disrespect to them but like who are they. Who are they blowing well? Yeah Yeah I mean. I think it's moving on from Aaron Gordon. Finally I think it's you know you Evans Who's going to be a free agent This summer I think you don't resign him. Or maybe you even realize you're not going to and you trade him before this year's deadline and then he would have. I would love to see him moved at this year's deadline. I think he's a piece that could help a lot of teams. I don't necessarily love his overall game. But he has approved score or plug and play type. Guy the expiring contract aspect fits. It's great yeah. And he's having a great year he should be on the market for sure. Yeah and then moving. It's that's a tough trade market and terrence errands. Ross the two guys that you sign this past summer but I feel like they just need to to start all over and I mean foltz looks really interesting which is good. He's I think he's going to be an NBA a player So that's awesome so you know rejigging at around him is Praying to God that Bomba is something and then you have some. You have an interesting defense. I nucleus nucleus there But like on the path that they're on they just don't have any foreseeable Ziebel way to get that number one offensive engine that they've not had basically since I don't even know said Stan. Van Gundy was the coach. No I hear Ya. There's not much reason to cling to what they've got they've been kind of treading water. I think that their new front office which isn't even that new anymore has has been like overly deliberate. Probably is the best way to phrase it and I think they're reach the point. Where like? Hey it's time to do something shake it up. Give the fans something to get excited about our Michael. We got a bunch of awesome questions from the globe. They came in throughout the holiday weekend. I tried to pick out some of my favorites. And we'll go through a few of them Dylan writes. It's after listening to the awards you guys shared on a previous episode about the the all decade awards. I thought of a few fund made up awards. You guys could possibly brainstorm storm and I'll throw in my own answers so he writes the most iconic performance of the two thousand ten was Lebron Two thousand twelve game six against the Celtics with Kobe. Bryant's farewell game a close second. That Dylan writes the most enjoyable period of basketball was Kevin Durant insane month during his. MVP season you'll remember. He had the just the crazy. Consistency factor Just night after night scoring scoring scoring. He said the feel-good story of the entire decade was Dirks Championship pitch abroad. He's he's kind of killing it on their good him in Jalen, and they him and Jalen Jason Williams with the basketball guys. But but he was one hundred percent, right and bead. Now, the issue with Embiid is can he stay healthy his first three years in terms of staying healthy were a disaster. But now now he's healthy. And I don't know if there's ever been a guy with his skill set. In other words, a seven footer who can score in the post like Elijah one and can shoot threes like Dirk right in that. Team with Ben Simmons. Jimmy, Butler Tobias Harris JJ Rettig in Embiid has the best starting five in the league other than the wars the words of the best right there right behind him. And so if they can figure out how to play defense and see I like it for them because they just said all right? Let's just go. Let's we'll trade for Tobias Harris ain't no tomorrow. Let's win this thing. Right. Think about it. They're really going for it because Tobias Harris n Jimmy Butler the two guys they traded for this year are both free agents this summer. Right. And that is not helping he could tell his, you know, he he could say fall you guys got to fall in line here kick, Jaylen Brown in the ass whatever's going on, but he's not done it. You know, the five out there. A big moments is Morrison. Smart Hayward Horford Kyrie and the kids are sitting on the bench and then done this numerous times at the end of games. 'cause I think those guys are gonna play defense and play together much better. So Memphis tonight at TD garden Celtics trying to win their first championship with this group. A team that's won five championships together. Tom Brady, Bill Belichick. We're going to hear from their owner Robert Kraft who says both are the best ever. We'll talk about that next on the rundown. Because you genius has now destroyed the impediment of the terrestrial radio..

"In staff. Probably like could he just kept that in house and just say is it would have the same effect? Sure. It would sustain message to alter it. Like he doesn't need to call a team meeting. Go. Hey, guys. I'm sorry. I acted like I did in Orlando, and I reached out to LeBron. And I kinda know where you guys are coming from. And now, I know where he's coming from. So I'm learning on on the road road here. I I don't think he has to go there. You can kinda just do it on his own and make the changes that are according. The make the changes accordingly without any he knew what he was doing that. He was being he was obviously knew there's gonna be a big story about it. And it was gonna be headlines about it. The patriots appointing the AFC championship game and every station in town lead with this year. He's not these kyri is not someone who's going to back down from the spotlight. Whether it's on or off the court like LeBron because he's interesting to see the thing with the connection with LeBron is he wants to be like LeBron in terms of something. Besides just the basketball player. Right. I mean, he wants to get into entertainment communications, you know, he likes that part of it. So you would have thought that'd be that connection there that LeBron could kinda take him under his wing, but Kyrie is just a different type of guy doesn't necessarily want to be told what to do. And again, I've explained to you the the mentor protege relationship. It's tough. It's tough on the mentor is it is on the protege. 'cause I always thought as a mentor that you just tell the protege what to do. And they say, yes, sir in it's not the case at all. They push back push back hard. And now I've learned that. That's not what you do. And now I've learned and benefited from that as well. So I I think maybe LeBron again who was not necessarily a leader when he got the Cleveland he had growing pains to so we're going to cut slack. Kyrie Irving, you also cut some slack for LeBron James who was not asked to be a real quote unquote leader till what twelve years into the league at thirty years old. Yeah. I mean, he's always going to be the leader on the court in terms of his play because he's always going to be the best player in the court, but in terms of the locker room. Yeah, you're you're right about that the big difference. I see you. It's easy to draw comparisons between the situation carry was as the t and now he's the mentor between and LeBron. I think the difference is with LeBron and mentor and Kyrie Kyrie was always an elite talent and was always showing up on the court and playing great games. Maybe he didn't like the way he treated him in terms of a caused some friction between them personally. We call them kid stuff. Harry always showed up and played really good basketball. The LeBron got whether you want to give LeBron credit for getting the most of Kyrie your. That's just a testament this Kyrie skill. That's that's up for debate. But here with the Celtics carrier and doesn't have a. Kyri Irving to mentor, Jason Tatum. We all think is going to be an all star level player. He's not there yet and Jaylen Brown, and this is the biggest problem I've had with Jaylen Brown throughout all of this. And why it can't bring myself to give him any credit in this carry Jason Jaylen Brown sort of debate is because he's been terrible the season. He's he's really not performing on the core grass. And if that because he's pissed at kyri will then shaimaa Jaylen Brown gotta get over it because he's he's the younger player. He's the inferior talent. And I don't mean bars. But right, we're in. That's the case. I know you don't mean to disparage him, but the truth is the truth. Kyrie Irving is an elite talent top ten and was before he got here and was top twenty talent when LeBron got there. So at least LeBron could look at him and they played together on an all star team. Right. And Kyrie at one the MVP the all star game. Not that that carries a lot of weight. But to be an all staff amongst other players carries one of the most popular players in the league. He's sensational. He sensational. I like he's one of those guys the two players that if I could snap my fingers and go on the court and play like would probably be Steph curry and Kyrie Irving because they're both like six three. So they're going to walk down the street, and you're not gonna look and go that's guys gotta be a basketball player and just the pure ability. They have the creativity the ability to shoot shoot off the dribble. I mean, the things he does go on to the basket there exquisite. So look those would be like the two players at wanna be more than even LeBron. You know, obviously, the bronze outsized in just just an incredible talent. But. In terms of just just looking at an average size guy who dominates in the NBA, Kyrie and Steph are the two guys that that piqued my interest. The most I'm hearing a lot of criticism of Kyrie for going over this Charles Barkley was talking about it the other night use as somebody that criticize Kyrie and people in the media here and nationally are not everybody's criticizing him. But a lot of people are, and I would say that. He's he's maybe you don't like the way he's going about it. But he's not wrong in that. Yes. It is the young guys fault that they're losing. Kyrie's holding up his end of the bargain on the court. He is okay. He is the other night, especially the eighteen assists. That's what I would like to see more of look, I don't expect him to averaging themes assist. The game. He hates ever does. He can you pick a point to a game or say, yeah, he really sucked that gain. He's played. Well, I mean, that's what I'm saying. What right. He's not wrong. No, no. But again as a leader, you can't just be there and say, look, I did my thing. And now it's up to you guys. You you can't we fall quarterbacks for doing this, right? When my guy says, hey, you know, wasn't open and I couldn't throw the ball. So whatever there's. The quarterback. It can't all fall on Kyrie Irving being the best player in the court and being the leader there. There is a shared responsibility on the team for other guys too. Not just produce on the court, but to help carry along with if he's if they want him to be the leader to sort of go along with what he's saying and not push back. So much of a lot of very mild personalities. That's the person I think is Al Horford is not an alpha at all now, Marcus Morris and Marcus smart, our, but our, but they don't have the game to back it up. Right. Okay. They don't Gordon Hayward. Certainly isn't. So Kyrie's your best player. You most talented player. He's also got the biggest personality so he can handle all of that stuff. But like who's like LeBron had Dwayne Wade perfect? Or LeBron whichever way you wanna paint that at some point LeBron in Cairo were together and probably at some point LeBron. Wishes that he did a better job of. I'm sure I'm sure Kyrie said at this point. He should have done a better job because he said so much that they would have still been together in Cleveland, you have superior talent you're able to overcome some of that stuff till short. Yeah. You may not necessarily have to be best buds, but we're talking about two exquisite talents. Right. So I think that that's part of it. But this to me at they've got Jaylen Brown problem on that team. That's the guy that I see that is is a problem like, but what do you do at this point? The trade deadline is just three weeks away the start to move him. And what do you get back in return? And how the contracts matching what do you do? With Terry Rozier, who is going to be a restricted free agent. At the end of the those are the two guys to me that have just they've regressed this year. Dave regressed they've hurt the team. They've oftentimes come on the court and hurt. Yeah. It's it's I agree with you. They have Jalen Brown problem. They have a terrorism problem, you can give at least Gordon Hayward. You could see he he's he's trying out there. He's not there yet. No, I sometimes it looks like terrorism is not trying at all or he's just playing from self. I mean, you had a dunk the other night, and he's going with you know, Jalen, Jason Tatum in there. Banging under the basket. And meanwhile, the other teams running down the court for a layup in these two guys seems like terrorism hasn't hit a three all year. I know he has. But every time, well, it's one thing ties, Marcus Smart's, become your best three-point shooter. These exceptionally a reliable Klay Thompson out there. But it's it's they've had a problem with some of these guys like I'm saying. Kyrie's calling them out. I get that. Maybe you don't agree. Somebody might not agree with how he's doing it. But it's not all on Kyrie and all carry being a leader on and off the court. There's a bunch of other guys in the team need to hold up their end of the bargain to coach who I've been criticizing all year long. Who you talk about meat personalities. He's got relatively meek personality. He's not a boisterous head coach Don rivers now. He's more analytical. Yeah. That he's not helping he could tell his, you know, he he could say fall you guys got to fall in line here kicked. Jalen Brown in the ass whatever's going on, but he's not done it. You know, the five I like out there a big moments Morris. Smart Hayward Horford and Kyrie and the kids are sitting on the bench. And then they've done this numerous times at the end of games.
