"Radio five fifty. Welcome back shell Capriccio. Joining us. Shell. What did you write? So I looked at and I thought about last couple of years I've done an article on what I expect from each the result expectations. Playtime roster status whatever it is of each of the teams draft picks. I actually went back and looked at how I fared last year in even tweeted out, my my right and wrong. And I was pretty good on you know, what Josh Allen I said somehow, someway, he's gonna start. But I don't think he'll start opening week. I even nailed like Harrison Phillips snap count. I said I expected to be between thirty five and forty five. He was at thirty eight I believe which was good couple. I did not nail. I thought Sarande Neil would play a little bit more. He did not. I thought Ray Ray McLeod would be more of a primary. Punt returner, he blew his chance. But this year, I wrote about what I expect from these guys. And as I was going through it a couple of things struck me, which is I actually think that. Jakulan Johnson the round six kid probably says more of a chance what what's that the safety of Miami? Yep. I think he actually I wrote this. I think he actually will have a bigger role that all of the draft picks except for the top two. And that's because he super smart. He's a really good tackler. He has a lot of character like leadership qualities that everybody writes about and things like that he can play specialties, but he's very uniquely suited to play like a nickel safety type of position where you don't have to have Terron Johnson necessarily on the field. You can put him or if you want you could just add an extra tackler safety on the field. If you want and certain situations where maybe they would have felt uncomfortable with Raphael Bush in that role as the third guy instead of a backup last year. So I thought that was interesting, and then the guy that I said, I think has the longest odds of making the team was Darrell Johnson the defensive end North Carolina. A and t because a there's just I don't know where he fits in on defensive end right now and be he's making a huge jump from the. Back to the NFL. Yeah. That safety point is interesting is he this guy had the potential to be you said nickel safety. That's like the replacement for a linebacker guy. Right. That's right. If somebody it's like a box safety you put on the field. You say, you know, you know, they're gonna probably do something where we need some tacklers keep everything in front of us. You know, we don't need the the, but he had his very good coverage skills. But at the same time, you're like, okay. We don't need to get up in someone's face be that nickel corner. Terron Johnson at him are actually kind of similar, but I think the difference is he's more of a I'm gonna keep guys in front of me. Make sure I'm sure I'm sure on the tackle. I don't have to be in their face Taryn might be a little bit more Maine to Maine even though he's a good zone coverage guy. So yes, that's exactly how he would fit. In. Does your son know how to spell Red Sox? Probably does. I think he probably does. I thought he would bulldog. When did you learn how to spell Red Sox in the womb? Like, I came out. I just I came out the first things I probably ever wrote down were names of baseball teams. I'll be the first thing I ever wrote really to writing reds Red Sox Mets. Yeah. So all right. Any questions for us today? Sale. Did you hear the Boston radio call where they hung up on hurricanes? I couldn't bring myself to that stuff. I just could not bring to click on it. But I had I had to listen to hear if it was as bad as I thought it would be and it was it was as bad, and they should be. They're not ashamed of themselves. I'm sure they think it's a joke. I think it's ridiculous and unprofessional. Let's get the southern hockey guy on to make fun of his southern accent. And then hang up the things he didn't even have like he had a southern accent? But it was not even that thick and I lived in the south like like he had a southern accent? But he was very coherent. And he was a very good hockey reporter who knew his stuff, and they went four minutes, it's answering questions, and then suddenly just gets hung up. Like, basically like the connection went dead. And the host says I'm sorry. I just can't listen to that. Southern accent talk about hockey anymore. Solid said the guy from Boston by right said the guy from. Joked about it, and they laughed and it's real funny. And even the next call or called up. He's like like, what are you doing that? The guy had good points. He said, I don't care. I could have a southern accent. Whenever I'm with my grandfather. When I leave his house, I walk out of there with somewhat of a southern just from talking to him and falling back into that back into. I never I didn't grow up in the but like listening to him. He's from Kentucky. And. Yeah. Like that that's in there, and that sort of spooks my wife a little bit which he thinks about it. Like, I have to remind myself that you're from the south. Well, you're sort of from the south then I try that's really weird to me to think that I remember being a little kid going on like two week vacation. And we'd go we drive Cincinnati was the first stop, and we're usually going south. So I've been all over the south, and it would be like the last two weeks of August before school started. Again, would be just, you know, Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina. It's all over the southeast. And I can remember being a little kid coming home and feeling like after hearing waitresses. Ios. And whenever everywhere you went. That's all you heard and it just did sort of seep in. And I think especially when you're impressionable young started started mimicking, the sounds you're hearing. So I I think I came back from vacation with that. Well, it is cringe. But if you get a chance to listen to it, you know, just to confer James. I have no interest. Got you. Thanks for bringing it up. And thank you sell. Your welcome..

"And finally. Yeah. I did the math. But I can't at the time. I got to the stadium for the first time which is around two o'clock on Thursday afternoon. So the time I left on Sunday night. There were fifty total hours. I was there for thirty two of them. You get is a little bit of a hectic stretch as you look at it. That's, but that's what you plan on every year. You know, what's going to happen? You're ready to rock and roll in. You know, I I drink a lot of coffee and that media room. I'll tell you that wait till the expand the draft back to twelve around six that'll be a four day. Yeah. As you look at the class in its entirety eight picks. What what do you like about it? What grabs you from the overall body of work at this point. Yeah. Good football players. I think that you know, for for number one at Oliver's considered by many to be a top five type of player in this draft. Cody Ford was considered to be first rounder by a lot of people. You know, then they go in the later rounds. And they get guys who like I would say Sean Joseph who basically just plays really, really hard and tough and flies around the field can be a little undisciplined at times because of that Darryl Johnson was easily the best player down in North Carolina. ANC I ever played those drafted from from there. Those guys are guys you really wanted special teams that are going to come in. I think really fight for spots. Immediately. Jakulan Johnson really kind of different mold than them of definitely has a chance to play as a nickel safety type. He's super smart takes good angles. He's a little undersized, but he relies on that. And then a little bit of project at tight end, which was interesting to me Dawson, knocks Tommy Sweeney. Both surprised they didn't grab a tight end early. But I guess, you know, that's just they didn't feel comfortable where they're board was and at the as the draft was going on. I think that they felt that there was a dip and they better get one now. And after Dawson knocks it probably wasn't anybody. I was very surprised about Devon. Terry. There was some things. I was I've been very right on there's been things I've been very wrong on recently. That was one I've been very wrong. I never thought they draft a running back even at all. But especially on day one day two excuse me. And Evan single Terry comes in. But overall, I thought that they grabbed good football players who can help them in different ways all have different attributes to them. Do they have room for four running backs? So Jeremy, I did the math, and I went back because I had all that time in the media room. I went back and what I did is our twenty-seven gas pretty much try to stay awake. You know, you got to do some work to do something. This was some Saturday morning when I got there. So let me go back and look after they had made the pick on on Friday. And I went back, and I charged it all sixteen games last year, and how many running backs they had active versus inactive, and what it came out was out of fourteen out of sixteen games. They had at least four running back total active. Plus, so what I'm saying is three active one. Enact this. This doesn't include Patrick DiMarco, by the way, this is just pure running backs. So three running backs active one inactive was the most they had like as far as the most common thing they had so yes, you can do that. It's just one of these guys just won't dress on Sunday. But he would be on the roster. But that's pretty much what they did all year. Now, interestingly enough once Taiwan Jones got hurt last year. That's when they started shuffling the numbers a little bit because he was strictly a special teams guy. So my my sense would be either Devon single Terry or TJ Yeldan who has not played special teams are going to pretty much have to do that. If they want to be active on game day. So with us eight oh three oh, five fifty for your bills draft questions. And opinions Mike, you're on with south here on W G R. Hey, good morning guys morning. Just watching the draft. It just felt it felt like a different draft being, you know, being a bills fan, and just, you know, all the so-called experts saying that you know defense. Is at the top of the draft. And there's good value late for tight end just seemed like the Bill didn't go against the grain with what was the strength of the draft. And that was pretty pretty appealing to see that the bills, you know, got value at positioned. I never thought at Oliver would swim all the way to nine. But he did, you know, and then and then Cody four just filling meets I just thought it was an excellent draft. Now, I mean, nobody can kind of forecast how these guys players, but just so far the grades. And and what people were saying that you know, they played the draft board. Excellent and grab players with good value at the spot that they did. And that was pretty encouraging to see there's always this debate about filling needs best player babble while I they stuck to their board. No, they filled some needs. Here's the thing. There's nuance in here. Every t- every draft pick any team makes you say they filled the need the patriots took a quarterback that people could say, well, they didn't need one. Someone else could say no, they filled a need because they needed a backup quarterback the bills took a safety. I will tell you. They didn't need to safety, but you can make the argument well beyond Michael Haydn, Jordan player, they kind of do every team has needs. So no matter what you pick in a draft. You could make an argument that there's a need there. I would think the only one that we all kind of agree on his running back for the bills. But that's why I say I will tell you primarily the bills stuck to their board. I mean, they took a running back. They took a safety. Those guys aren't gonna come in and start, but they are on the team. And by the way in the future. They have a very good chance to play which that becomes a need. Then. So the draft is always about the future not the immediate. And at the present, I will say though as much as I think at olive are is a fantastic football player. He also fills a need. And that was just when it came together. Right. I mean, I they needed a three technique after Kyle Williams retired. And just so happens that one of the best players in this entire draft. Is that position Cody four to tackle or guard? We're gonna start off at right tackle. And I think that's where they plan on sticking him and playing him. But if. Can't handle it. They can always move them into guard. Jimmy a lot of competition in training camp. We'll see exactly what happens with Tien Seki, then was going to battle with Cody four at right guard. Will they moved him to left? I'm sorry. Right. Tackle they moved him to left tackle to battle with the undock. Does he undocking stay there? Does he move inside? Let Adrian Waddell. He is your swing tackle on both sides. There's a lot of combinations. They can play with. And they're just going to let them go sort it all out guys. And it's gonna be fun to watch. I'm you know, we have Brandon Beane coming up at eight o'clock. And I want to ask about dockings because I think when Cody Ford gets drafted, and you just brought up some of the name, Sal, you can really you could spend a good chunk of the day. You should've spent some of your fifty seven hours at the stadium thinking about offensive line starting combinations. And what they do there in one of the questions is what? Yeah. Yeah. One of the what do they think of Dion Docklands, see tackle is the guard because maybe you have four and Seki end up being your starting tackles dockings goes inside could happen. I mean, look on what you just said. So on what day was it must have been on Saturday, Josh read, and I were doing that. We're like, let's let's look what right now what is the starting lineup. And I'm not kidding you. We started doing it. And every time we go forgot about this guy. Oh, yeah. What about that guy with Spencer long? Oh, there's quitting Spain. Right. You're like you're thinking, and it just gets you. You just keep talking yourself in circles on what could happen because these guys do have position flexibility the minute, you the minute you put Cody Ford at right tackle, you get down the line go, but wait a minute. They signed executive pretty good deal. And he's a he's a tackle. Let's book. Let's put forward at guard. Well, wait a minute. What does that do not John Feliciana who I just had their? Oh, wait a minute. They just drafted our last year. He had told me they're going to move on from him. So that's all those things that can happen. I don't know. I think I've maintained all along this off season. And I'm going to stay to it that they do not plan on moving deandre Hopkins out of left tackle. However, if they go to training camp, and he's not the best left tackle, they'll do it. I just think he'll start off their they don't plan on moving them. But of course, you have to see how things play out. Well, this is what I mean. I really this is what they wanted. Anyway, you have a whole bunch of guys competing the five best guys emerge and in feary. If if these guys are are all good players, you've also increased your depth. You know, they've they I think it's interesting listening to being and McDermott talk a lot Sal over the weekend about I mean, they really were unhappy with the offensive line looking back at last season. And they must have spent almost every waking minute of their off-season, but we gotta fix the offensive line. And it played out that way, if you look at free agency now the drafting of Ford, so I feel like they they must believe that a they've increased the competition they've made it harder to win a starting job here and the up and after all of that you would have better back. Depth anyway. And I think last year I go back and look at it. Again, I believe they had eight offense lineman last year that they kept at the end of cuts. You know what I mean? And so right now, you'd have to look, and there's going to be guys are gonna lose out there. There's gonna be someone they signed jobless Yano quit Spain someone like that is not going to make the team. I mean, that's just the way it's going to be could be white teller. Even do they drafted. There's a lot of different combinations. There's going to be a lot of different scenarios that the thing that I think that is tricky here is how do you get enough reps?.

"Broncos hats, and I definitely turn some felony summits. Bronco fans. There's no doubt. Go to your thing. Man. Thanks for stopping life. Andrew lock after the Denver Broncos. That interview is he joins us last night shortly after John Elway and company drafted him early in the second round Torey Noko along side. Former jets GM dolphins executive vice president, Mike Tannenbaum, Ian Fitzsimmons. Jim Nagy SPN draft analyst executive director be rhesus senior bowl. We are cruising through round number six at this point. And guys another quarterback came off the board. Just a few minutes ago. Literally what twenty thirty minutes twenty minutes after we got off the phone with Washington state head coach, Mike Leach, his quarterback Gardner Minhsiu? Get selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars at pick number one seventy eight and as coach needs told us Pac twelve player of the year broke every single season Pac twelve passing record that can be broken. But also on a great character is the first time, I watched get Gardner men's shoe in person was against USC Coliseum, and I'm talking to coach. Leach. And this is guys are coming out. You know, not even impact she had to just loosening up. And here comes this guy in spandex pants, no shirt on a FU. Manchu moustache reminds me of a lot of Baker Mayfield. You know, he's doing his shoulder warm ups and just walked by Leeds win who in the heck is that and Mike Leach that monotone voice goes, oh, that's my quarterback. I wanna what he's like, he's character an sling. It a loving convince you any turns running us, I'm telling it. He's keeps on going with his warmup routine and spandex no-shirt FU Manchu with, you know, the bandana, you know, the Dion Sanders type bandanna the do rag and from then on I was a gardener men's shoe fan because any and if Mike calls you a character. Yeah. Then you'll spend. Yeah. There's no doubt about that. So Gartner Menchu goes one seventy eight to Jacksonville after that. Zona continuing to stay busy Lamont Ular center out of Georgia. Corey Ballantyne corner out of Washburn to the giants jakulan Johnson safety Miami to buffalo, and then a guy we were talking about very early in this day, it almost feels like yesterday in fact, Trayvon Williams running back, Texas am to Cincinnati. How much familiarity did you have Trayvon waves? You got to watch him a little bit. Yeah. I he was one of my favorite players. I really liked him. He remind me a lot of James white the running back out of Wisconsin. That's played for New Zealand for so many years. I thought this guy could be a patriot. He could do all three phases for running back. He's a good runner. He's a good pass receiver as a really good pass protector. He doesn't do anything flashy. That's why he's lasted to this part of the draft. But I fully expect him to make the Cincinnati Bengals. But dress being the forty six band roster come opening day in the fall. I really liked this guy. He's a hard guy to run off because he's so reliable, and can do so many different jobs and the name that jumps out of that list that you went through was Johnson from Miami. He's a guy that, you know, it's kind of the common theme the reason he's at this part of the draft is because Ian buzzword the measurable, you know, kwanza very good football player. He's versatile. He can play safety. He can play nickel. You've put on the Miami. Take these all over the place. He's wore the turnover chain a million times down there. But he didn't run fast this spring. You know, so so there was concern that he might even slip all the way out. So I'm glad he at least win in the six, you know, good football player role to Buffalo's. Yeah. Grameen high character guy. We were we'd invited a a bunch of players already to the senior bowl. I think we were in the eighties or something at that point. And the the defensive backs coach for Miami actually called me. And I was like, listen, you you have to bring my safety. He goes, I know that he's not real big. And I know he's not going to run real fast. But he is a football player. And he's one of the best kids I've ever been around. So yeah, we we'd Rodman the senior bowl. And he was that. He had a great Wiki. Thank you had seven tackles in the game. And he he you saw the character. I mean, you you saw during the week you saw with his teammates. And what a good guy is. So buffalo got themselves. A good player. They've been in Buffalo's done a nice job throughout this throughout the last three days of of addin good football players get it back into something that you guys were talking about a few. Minutes. We're talking about drew lock. Obviously, this isn't the situation with him or Gardner meant. You're really any of the quarterbacks taken. But you were mentioning Jim. That when you were trying to assess Kyla Murray you hadn't seen anybody like him. So it's hard to really put an accurate assessment together for somebody that you've never seen in. You said you haven't seen him, but even close to that since Antwan Randle, who, of course, out of Indiana was became a wide receiver. And then there's a story that might Canada bomb has he told us last night. But you weren't a part of this brilliant didn't hear about to hear it again. But it has to do with Brad Smith out of Missouri who had a long career with the New York Jets. What was your experience with Brad Smith? I saw Brad at the hula bowl is one of the might have been de last year of the hula bowl. And you know, we I was interviewing him. Will. You do that you go to practice after practice you'd get to the hotel and interview the players, and I threw that by what are you thinking about a position change? What what what do you think if we want to move to wide receiver, you know, something like that? And he just he just looked at me. I got the death stare. I thought he was gonna jump cross the table and strangle me so that that was my experience with Brad Smith. Yeah. Ours at the New York Jets, very similar at least an issue. We were very interested in Brad Smith, a very very productive player at Missouri. He could throw it he could run and he really wanted to play quarterback and coach van genie. We had a vision where he could play wide receiver be dominant the game. And we wanted to take them in the second round. So we're on the cloth. We call it Brad. Smith coach Mangini, Mike Tannenbaum, New York Jets. We wanna make you New York jet right here. But we wanna play have you played receiver. No, thanks. Allie. Wanna be quarterback totally understand that respect that turn the car with somebody else. Third-round call Brad Smith quarterback, Missouri. Brad, Coachman, genie New York Jets. Mike tannenbaum? Hey, we have all the respecting the world for you. You are great college quarterback. We want to play receiver doth. Thank you. I'm only interested in playing quarterback. No problem. Turn into car. Somebody else. Fourth-round Brad Smith. This is coach. Yes, I'm in. I love it. The second time I've heard it. The third time. We'll get old -solutely fantastic. And he's such a great kid. We had he had such a good career. But he was very prideful. If you wanna play quarterback, but you know, what? After the third round and everybody spoke to him about. Hey, this is gonna work there. You know, also that was a great opportunity to Newark in the fourth round. And that was that was back in the slash days. Right. Kordell Stewart and Pittsburgh. That's right in the same time. That's probably about right? Yeah. And Antoine Randle that would have been playing wide receiver Pittsburgh very about. That's really. Right around the same time. I remember interviewing Antoine at the east west shrine game in the same. They were coming out right around the same area. That's incredibly talented about Jim Nagy kind of slipped under the radar when he said I was interviewing brats with at the hula bowl. There's only one scoured every staff that gets to go to Hawaii tomorrow is that somehow Jim it was rotated. So so. So somehow Jim was working in Hawaii. It was shocking. He has to go through somebody had to go to Hawaii interview the players at the hula bowl. That's that's always the running joke with with scout the west coast Coutts like who gets who gets to fly. You always do Hawaii when they come to the mainland if they're at San Jose State or Fresno, everyone's always pushing for can I just go out there and make one visit can I can I just do that? Who are you with at that time as the patriot that time? Yeah, we we did we rotated every year. And thank God. That was kind of like musical chairs that that. You're ended up being my year side is beautiful. It's good work. If you can get it. By the way, there is no quarterback in this draft that they will be having a position change not any that had been taken to this point coming up. We go home with bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver taking ninth in the first round on Thursday..

"I'm going to determine that they are an influential part of the program. Do you know about family dinner? I do. Yeah. Yeah. Once a week. It's everybody. It's every player. It's every coach. It's the coach's wives. It's the coaches kids. It's the support staff with their, husbands or wives or kids like it is an across the board big family tend to table share in all the sides. Like once a week, Clemson football has a big family dinner. And that is a thing that has created a work environment. That everyone would rather be a part of the effort this other option is it's incredible. Yeah. I like I like that. It's just treat everybody like humans and include the break bread with your brother and watch apps, MAC and cheese have some chicken. That's cool. That's what it takes to like. Keep a wildly successful program. Running at a at a higher rate right now than any other programs Ailey style sides on Wednesday night, family-style Clemson, family style. And I guess let's just you don't have to pick because number ten is Miami. And all that I have in my brain is offense question, Mark. As the thing that Manny Diaz now faces after the lowest of lows for Miami on a really strong offense of mind, and Mark richt, say whatever you will. It's probably correct good or bad about Mark. Rex offense hasn't really been a huge huge issue for Mark richt teams. It one thousand percent was this past year. So moving forward hiring Danny knows from Alabama on over it in the middle of the night is is that can that question. Mark turned into an exclamation points. Yes. Yes. Yeah. It can. I don't I I don't think it happens immediately. But it absolutely can. Miami can get back to having dynamic offenses. This was just wrong staff. Wrong personnel sort of bad fit from the start to Mitch that luck on Richard's career ending brutal. And he when I'm on Richards was playing on one leg he was one of the two best wide receivers in the ACC. He would've started. I mean, I watch a lot of Oregon football. He would have started for Oregon. No question about it on one leg. I'm literally one leg on one leg, so bad Lucks, certainly should be mentioned as part of this. But I think it was a bad fit of just the that offense of coaching staff. I think he brought then you bring Thomas Brown the Georgia running back as his offense coordinator dry with him at Georgia. And you know, he had he it was just it was a family affair, and it was just a bad like, whatever it was just apparently was not a great fit with the offensive personnel on that side. And so I I think about. Out. Was Joe Jackson guys like shat Cormon? I just I think about these incredible Miami defenders on Saturdays going out there. And just continuing to take the field after three and outs. You know, just just what jakulan Johnson shat Corum and Michael pygmy Sheldrick red wine. Gerald wills? Joe Jackson, sack McLeod like all of these guys are going to be playing in the NFL. They were a phenomenally talented group. And they got no hell no hell field position. They got no help on like turnovers or time of possession for most of two years. They they have gotten. No hell, and so I feel for them because that had to be tough. There was a it was a very good year by good. I mean, unfortunate and bad for defenses. Put in just terrible situations by their own some Michigan state Miami. Cal I don't know who I'm forgetting TCU actually put out a pretty good defense this year with a nightmare of an offense. And we've had this in recent years. I think it was the twenty fifteen Mizzou team which was somehow putting out an incredible defense every week with nothing nothing burger on offense. I always feel so bad for those guys that have to just keep job. Ding out like, okay, I guess we're going to have to score..

"They're down eighteen points here. It's three possessions with an offense that hasn't really shown much of a spark here the afternoon, I'm going to need one now on this. Series going back for a second do Wisconsin. The fact that these guys stay only team in in their head coach offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator all played for Wisconsin. It's great point Kristof Corson along the head coach Jim Leonard, the defensive coordinator outstanding safety in the NFL Miami from the seventeen the coachie Pera gonna pass to the near right side at an open, man. But he overthrew a big complete. It was Mike Harley on the crosser from right to left not even close ninety because knew said that was the first really wide open. The Seaver Miami has had in a what was not that hard to throw. But you know, what when you're when you're amped up. What you do is throw a little wide and high, and that's what exactly he did on throw. Well, we had expected Perry to start the game, but the dealing with a couple of a self inflicted wound social media, there was Fawzi might even be suspended. But he's not coming in here in the second half second down and ten from the seventeen yard line. Homer motions to his left hip. Harry waiting on a snap. Has it puts it in. The belly takes it back in rod in Wisconsin rallies rights in a cozy Perry it takes him down after a gain of two at the nineteen yard line. Interesting decision. Thereby cozy fakes the run up the middle keeps it. So he's got to run option either that or he was attended to keep it all along starts to go to the left side. It looks like he could beat a man and get around the edge. Instead he decides to cut it back any runs right back into the bulk of the Wisconsin defense that was flowing to the football the CJ Edwards who had the tackle Edwards. One of the three interceptions today at works ten interceptions. Now, most among F B S linebacker. He's been all over the place. Twelve forty left in the game. Twenty one three Wisconsin leagues. Miami third down at eight for the canes at the twenty yard line. God waiting on a snap. There. It is. They rushed four Perry is time. Now, it's closing goes to his right back to the back foot. The thirty five yard line. The thirty four yard line is Caesar Williams. Go forth. Miami interception thrown this afternoon. And the badgers takeover with a twenty one three lead in twelve seventeen ago. How about that? Another. You look at these interceptions and almost all of them self inflicted. Wisconsin's just been in the right spot at the wrong time hit my you know, what you saw that Blake has the potential and the frustration for Miami. Fancier, cozy Perry had the athletic ability to get himself out of a jam off to the side. But then the bad decision making to throw as you said off his back foot trying to go deep into where you had three defenders. So we'll take over at the thirty four yard line of Miami chance to take some around the clock. What they're going to throw downfield at a double coverage. Knocked away was looking for tantric prior inside the five Wisconsin fans wanted a flag. Michael Jackson, breaking it up amongst that double coverage down at the goal line. That looked like an NFL player in the sense that there was a lot of hand fighting going on between these two you could have seen a flag thrown official. Didn't see it that way. You can certainly look at it that way but a surprise to throw the ball on that. I was about to say take the air out. There goes known stepping back. A good throw in the sense that he gave his guy a chance to make a play on the ball. It was just a better defensive play by the defense. Twenty one three Wisconsin second down in ten at the Miami. Thirty four yard line as time they'll keep tacona up the middle across with thirty and tossed out at the twenty nine yard line by jakulan Johnson a five yard gain. As we roll. Under twelve minutes to go in regulation. There you go back to the Miami situation. And there's a lot of time left in this game. A lot of football to be played dinner. What's going to work out? But in the off season, you know, the coach Mark richt has got to fix his quarterback situation. He's known as a quarterback whisperer. But let's pick up on this thought after this plan. It'll be third down in four for Wisconsin there at the twenty nine yard line of Miami. A lot up on the left tash one receiver to the right? Jonathan Taylor in backfield gets the call trying to bust it out to the right steps attack over the twenty fifteen right sideline. A push that about the ten yard line. Jakulan Johnson knocked him out. But another big run of eighteen yards for Taylor. Gonna put them over two hundred here in the new era pinstripe bowl once again that the fullback. Selling the ads on the right side. Jonathan Taylor sets it up. You know, what he's one of those? How did he do that kind of running? Not like Barry Sanders hadn't he do that were literally leaping in different directions. But you look at that place. He gets yards out of it. That's good. And all of a sudden he's fifteen yards downfield two hundred two rushing yards for Jonathan Taylor. Mason. Stocky with a block that time that opened it up, and it's first and goal just shy of the tan gift. A Taylor gets across the right has to the seven yard line and hit hard by declined Johnson. So two hundred five yards on the ground for Jonathan Taylor. The pinstripe bowl rushing record divine reading had to seven Indiana against juke three years ago. Now as two thousand one hundred ninety four yards on this season is soft more season. From Salem, New Jersey Jonathan Taylor, they outstanding Wisconsin running back. Tame Chen and counting. Here was constantly Twenty-one three second and goal from the seven yard line. Three in the backfield. Play fake cold rolling out to the right running. Horowitz touchdown Long Island zone. Jack tone getting the start here at Yankee Stadium and his seven yard, Ron Gibbs. Wisconsin a twenty four point lead. We've talked before about that com. Skill sat through for nearly ten thousand yards in high school, but ran for two thousand five hundred yards gives them a little bit more of an ability to move around not just in the pocket. But as we saw their fakes everybody off to the left because they're all following Jonathan Taylor. Naked bootleg rolls out to the right? He gives them that ability to generate some yards on the ground a little bit more than Alex Hornibrook PL. Gog Leoni is on for the extra point placement is down. Take us up the right through the uprights and good five. Thirty four yard drive after the latest Miami turnover and Wisconsin now.

"Jakulan Johnson the safety with the Miami stopping we take four. Oh five and counting to go here in the third. You look at those numbers. He first off. He clips the record of most yards for a first two years rushing meeting. Both Ron Dane, former Wisconsin, there's a pattern here that we're seeing Wisconsin running back and also Herschel Walker couple could runners and now as you said moving up on the the entirety and interesting these what's he going to be like after next year. Three tight ends right side of the line. Second goal from camp. To the upper back across the goal line. Two yard touchdown. Alec Angola, Wisconsin as a twenty two three lead late in the third quarter. And Wisconsin doing what they do often Ingold coming off the field. Just ecstatic as you might imagine saying we're going to reward the hard worker. This is the blue collar guy, and they have this whole tradition of these blockers these tough guys they're like offensive lineman. But we get Dan close. We're gonna get a chance. Give him a chance to get into the end zone here. They do it in a bowl game big ten sportsmanship award winner. This year rang the opening bell yesterday on a thousand yard pick up on the Dow at a bowl game touchdown extra point is up. And it is good that extra point brought to you by AllState. Allstate knows the football season is mayhem. Reminding fans that have mayhem can show up on game day. Imagine what can happen the rest of the week. So get better protected with AllState three thirty six to go here in the third quarter with Wisconsin leading Miami twenty one to three and after four turnovers three interceptions. The big question now is what do you do? With me Rozier when.

"You need a free safety to do and get to where he needs to be a good angle and actually hit or I should say tackle, not just hit. Right. And he's a guy who has kind of shown he has the instincts. I think the maybe his his mental processing little bit. I think definitely improved this year which was his junior season. And if you trust the guy who is learning defensive back under Nick Sabin is not a bad place to have those defensive backs. Learn he's a guy who has been asked to do a decent amount. He's he's played in in two. He's played a single high row. He's done some man coverage up against the lion. He's done a little bit of a blitzing. And he's a guy who can make plays. Yes. To interceptors this year, five pass breakups to force fumbles. So he's a guy who can potentially be all over the field, which which is definitely if you're looking at the modern safety, that's the type of guy you want. Oh, definitely. And that's something that you're loves to do is show. One coverage pre snap and then change to. Sometimes. I completely different coverage posts snap and having a guy who can play multiple cupboard schemes who can play the single high. You can play a deep half or a third or down and play in the slot. That just makes it that much easier to play that style defense because then the offense doesn't quite know based on where he is what he's going where he's going to be after the ball snapped. Right. And that's how it safeties in the modern game. And especially in defence alight. The one better has where you are going to be a safety problem. Hopefully, next to went and Collins, that's the type of safety you want to be, but that is not necessarily in easy guy to get the, and it's interesting to see when we go back again another year of how the NFL views these guys. There was a guy Derwin James who was excellent at this. He wasn't just versatile. He was incredible at like six different positions on defense. But he slipped his seventeenth in the draft. So even if a guy like the Thompson is really good. He might not be a guy they're looking for fifth overall. Even if he his impact on the game would be worth it. And that's just one of the confusing things about the way for offices are looking at personnel lately. It's really strange as we talk about this position. Because I think it's just something that's going to hang overhead during this entire discussion. And we're definitely going to continue talking about safety through this off season. Because the giants can't go in with Curtis Riley as a starting safety in next year. So one way or another that position is going to have to be improved. But. Just in terms of guys we're going to continue washing. We'll move along to the next guy. And that is going to be jakulan Johnson out of Miami. He's another just salad. Do it all safety. I mean, if you've got a DVD coming out of Miami. You're talking about them reasonably highly. He's going to be pretty good. I and that's just. Even when Miami's been down there. Generally producing good defensive backs and Miami happens to be on the way back up. So he's not as big as Thompson can listed about six foot. One ninety which is about average for a free safety. Very productive guy though. I believe you said you've got the stats on them right in front of you. I don't have them right in front of me. What I do know he's been productive. So this year wasn't. It was a bit of a step down from last year. You'll be played in ten games. We played thirteen in his junior season last year when he had yet sack four interceptions four pass defense. What of for touchdown? He had three or four fumbles. This year are just one interception to force fumbles of no sashes one and a half tackles for loss. But he's still could potentially be one of those guys who who is going to make plays. I think he is a type of guy from what I've seen in is a limited of what I've seen can make a play on the ball. But I think he's another guy who likes downhill a little more. I mean, he was the second on the Miami defense in tackles this season..

"We'll say this. There's a kid I want you to keep an eye on redshirt sophomore wide receiver. I probably mentioned this after the Florida state game for Virginia. Tech name Damon Hazelton that he'll be a name to watch going into next year. But was to me from this game friend. I mean, Miami has pros everywhere. On defense everywhere. I mean, it was you know, Joe Jackson at one end. He's a junior Jonathan Garvan who they tell me they think he'll be a first round pick the sophomore D end on the other side, Gerald Willis number nine, obviously having an unbelievable year as defensive tackle the linebacker trio is very good. Was thoroughly impressed by shack quarter min his range and interception almost took back to the house. But I think what's out to me almost more than any of that friend was actually Miami's DB's. I mean, really, you know, they're very hyped up. Jakulan johnson. Michael Jackson, two of the fourteen semi finalists for the Thorpe. Award. Jackson has not had as good of a senior year as he did last year. But he's still has impressive size made a number of really nice plays in the ball to Kwan Johnson was everywhere and Frank. Between him wearing number four and Jeff Thomas on offense for the hurricanes wearing number four. They've got some explosive play makers Sheldrick wed Ryan red wine made some play. He's a junior that's played. Well, and they get a little corner trade in bandy number two. Only a sophomore he made all kinds of plays in this game and really has all year. So I was impressed for sure by the Miami defense. I would imagine a good chunk of those guys are going to play on Sundays. We'll see how many get drafted. We'll see how many stick, but Virginia Tech has seven guys. Fran from last year's defense that our own fell rosters right now seven, and that's one of the reasons why they're just frankly, not as good I think Miami has the potential to a year from now us be saying that they've got five or six guys with Jackson. And Johnson and Willis and we'll see if Jackson the D N goes pro and quartered on. We'll see what happens some of these juniors. But they have a lot of future pros that I'm guessing are locked in in part because of omega six cognitive boost cognitive boost is the boost you need to get their look, it's not about ten cups of coffee. You're getting the next tight end available who's a walk on at this point. And number two. You're looking at your other formations that you could use the rest of the game. And right now, that's what they're doing. They're going to four wide receivers rather than even having a tight end in the game. You're going to be really limited gear in that way. And Michael Irvin said replace Senate for Miami. Michael over junior was hurt before the season. So he hasn't played all year. Three receivers to near side on third down Perry. Gets the snap. Fires quickly. Thomas gets a block at the forty five gets the forty steps across the forty-seven on the nearside escorted to the sideline. But he's got the first down on a pickup of six so funny to watch whether it's jakulan Johnson or Jeff Thomas their boat number four one plays offense. One plays defense. They have the exact same body type Yarmuth can't tell who would. I mean, we know who it is. But they're identical out there. Miami had missed its last five third downs. They hit their conversion. I intend quick pass far far sites. Thomas again breaks the tackle at the forty five to forty and clifftop at the thirty seven yard line. He broke a couple of tackles gets eleven and a first down the market the thirty five before Bryce watts with appropriate forum at all made to stop. Well, this is really well done because the outlaws so worried about Thomas's speed. He was playing like twelve yards off. Just throw them the bubble screen. And then the outlow has to come up. Tackling wasn't able to do it broaching ninety seconds to go in the first half hurricanes drill. And the hope. He's fourteen ten there on Virginia Tech's thirty five ball the right Hachachta sat. Handoff Homer tries to middle fields. Got a whole thirty down to the twenty five and he's wrestled down there. He's got ten Ashby made the hit around the waist, but it's enough for a first down. Best drive of the game for the hurricanes here since their first drive of the game there, obviously already Fuego range of see if they can seal the deal, they only have one time out left in the half. Again. It's the hand off to Homer up the middle twenty breaks what more tackle and then grabbed at the ankles at the sixteen. He's about a half yard side of the first nine yards again. It's ass. And they take their final timeout of the half with one zero two to go. Miami takes its final time out. I don't understand why you would do.

"Really impressive because it's a run pass option. Rulers puts the ball into the belly the running back. He pulls it throws the slant behind it. You see almost every team at every level play. Do it. The ball is in Hazleton tans, and then bandy comes through with a Tomahawk chop. If you will to knock the ball out. Jalen halston now the running back next to Willis snap. Willis ends it off to Holsten tries the middle of the defense carpet. There jakulan Johnson is well he picked up three. So that'll bring up third and seven on their own Twenty-three hokies. Have it up fourteen ten was six oh eight to go with the second quarter. One of the reasons why hosted in there is I saw the Virginia Tech training staff. Take Stephen people's into the locker rooms, so they're already. Little short handed at the skill position. Now after that last touchdown drive. There's been no people's on this drive show far Sean mcleese missed the last couple of weeks as well. And we haven't seen him either Allston towards the line on third. Seven Willis pocket. Holtz fires over the middle. Outstretched arms Hazelton static dove to the left at the thirty yard line. Made the catch a fifteen yard pickup and a first down Virginia Tech's going right on the football. I think they don't want the officials to take a second look at this. Because that was close Hazelton caught that right off the top of the to stop it. Play is under further review. Hazelton add to stretch out his body and reach across the field. It was low. I thought he caught it looking at the monitor here in the boot. Now, see as he went to the ground. He never really possessed it. It clearly touched the ground. I think they're going to overturn this. Give me no cat. You know, what you said they were up on the ball going fast. I didn't think they were going fast enough because the receivers will look into the sideline you wanna get up on the ball. You just get up on the ball and snap it. That's exactly what they should have done. Because I think this is gonna come back. Now, it's gotta be enough to be indisputable to overturn it. But I mean the ball was basically resting on the field as he turns his body over. The hokies here on the near sideline couple of their receivers. If turned to the coaches and say, hey, we caught that ball if it is a catch. It's a first down if it's not it's going to be forced and seven on their own twenty three. Let's get the announcer from the review. Receiver did not complete the process of the catches the ball hit the ground before and seven Bob in place at the twenty three yard line. Please reset the game to five minutes. Forty two seconds five four to on the other part of that to Ross is that Ryan Willis's throw. He had the receiver open. Hits him on a slant stride that might even go for a seventy seven yard touchdown lead them too much. It was too low. That's a fair point. By also think you're right Virginia Tech should've gotten on the ball faster and snapped it right away. And it just makes me laugh to I've never once receivers say, no, I always think they call it. Grab Bernard for his third part the lefty punter boots. It away is spiralling pot. Tob is signals for the fair catch over his shoulder. And makes it at the thirty two yard line of Miami. A forty five yard punt for the hokies providers. Stay tuned for the halftime report with our man, Brad Heller while scoreboard preview Cincinnati and UCF which comes your way later tonight that many of these same Westwood One stations. It's all coming up at the half. Ross. What do you think UCF college football playoff their number twelve? They're undefeated Alabama for a half. Today. Struggled with the Senate. Tell you this. I report UCF in over eighty two loss team. That's regard. And I don't think we'll get to that. Point where it'll be a two loss team. But I think UCF has a very good argument to be made. I guess. Them a lot more credit. I guess pundits out there. Not I at ten Perry. Settles in the pocket locks of pass down the middle of the field. Incomplete. He was looking for the freshman receiver, Mark pope. But he was sandwiched between two hokies at the thirty on the deep ball second. Yeah. He's doubled covered there. He's got a corner running with them the safety middle. He's actually lucky was thrown ball. Otherwise, it would have been intercepted. That's a bad decision by Perry. Tell you what. Mark pope five star recruit out of high school from Miami. Didn't have a catchall season's getting a lot of action here today. Second. Harry swings. It out to the backup tight end. That's taught by Mallory Sutter steps. A couple of defenders wrestled down at the forty one. He picks up eight it'll bring up third and short thirty two. So Miami's had a couple of these third and short situations already in this game where they haven't been able to convert either they've lost yardage or they've thrown the ball incomplete. This could also be four down territory based on where they are in the field there two of six on third down. And now whistles well, this dead Miami's taking the time out. Let's talk about a good old fashioned pick them. Okay. Missouri at South Carolina has come down to a straight up, pick him. I saw right now madness. I am going to go with Missouri here. Dan, why South Carolina's got the better defense, but they have had some trouble against the pass. Lo and behold, drew lock knows how to do that. I don't like that. The game is in Columbia, South Carolina, but I like drew walk. I think more than anything else. So gimme Missouri outright? Yeah, I I do like drew lock and I don't love South Carolina's defense right now moving on three thirty on a. Florida state at Miami. This line is up to thirteen and a half in favor of the canes. I still think Miami's a pretty good team and I did it should be better this week to. Yeah, they should. This is a good match for them. The defense, you know, isn't generating headlines quite like did a year ago, but they're still making plays in the front. Seven. That's a problem, quite frankly for Florida state because the wine play for them has been pretty lousy anybody with the front seven is going to give for state, and I don't mean like a good front seven. Anybody with a combination of defensive linebackers and defensive linemen and linebackers is going to give floor. State of problem is is Miami two touchdowns better though. That's the question I think so. Yeah, I think it's too much to ask Florida state to stay all that closest Miami team that should get jakulan Johnson back. Believe who I? I have a definitive football crush on Claude Johnson all. Merican caliber safety shack cornerman should be back. It's still going to be a little bit for Amman Richard. So I can understand some hesitation, but there's still enough town receive in coordinating Miami does win this game something like I dunno, forty, two twenty forty two fourteen. I think it's pretty comfortable. I agree with you every like Nicosea Perry. Yeah, really like him right arm. Great arm. Gimme Miami Mayes the points in rivalry game which is uncomfortable, but also three thirty. This one on ESPN we've got clumps in traveling to wake. The point spread here is seventeen in favor of the Tigers. Trevor warrants is expected to start in this game. He got injured last week. He quote, got the crap kicked out of him. That's a direct quote from Dabo Sweeney. He did pass concussion protocol is more of a neck thing than a head thing. So he is gonna start in this game. I'm in Klina walkup Clemson here. I'm not gonna. I don't like taking road teams, but I think. They're gonna kill Wake Forest and this. This is a huge bounceback spot for clubs and it seemed that hasn't really been able to separate themselves. They won this game last year only by what fourteen. I wanna say they win this game by fourteen wake, does a really good job that was that was that's the best modern wake team we've had in some time. So I don't know what they've done lately. There was about a twenty twenty two point game with Shawn Watson the national championship year. So I I'm, I'm gonna take a big bounceback spot from Clemson. I know they have not been able to really find their momentum yet against. I don't call this team decent, but I think they're in a good spot here. I think they generate some turnovers. I think they separate moving on, let's go, oh boy. Three thirty, big ten network. We've got Iowa at Minnesota. The point spread here is ballooned to seven in favor of the hawk is wow. Statistically speaking. Iowa is like a slightly better version of Minnesota. They're very, very similar. I was gonna. I was gonna say, tie if I were to tell you a team with a terrible offense. An awesome defense, a handsome, and overwhelmingly charming head coach was involved in a scam talking about. Yeah, exactly. Hey, Kirk, Fahrenson. I mean, they were coming off a win. They had some guys back in the quarterback that they were playing gave us fits last year. They're pretty bad though. There were bad, they were bad, but their quarterback hoof. Yeah, but that was quarterback that look like a world beer, less Christopher. This defense is absolute, absolutely. Real jakulan. Johnson wasn't even playing on Richard's. I don't know if he's ever going to be healthy. He wasn't playing. The seam is improving. We have two week just like last year you're seeing it on the field. And yes, you can point to the competition guys, but I keep telling you like Toledo's offense at the solid off. Okay. All right. So don't be don't be upset when till no only hangs up. Twenty four points on you. You know that that's a very solid performance. The next week they they went for sixty plus, you know, the running game yesterday the running two hundred yards on the ground again. Yes, Michael, this two headed monster of DJ, Dallas and Travis. Homer is exceptional, and you're not able to count on, you know, three defensive touchdowns, but it's nice to have who was an incredible game plan. The game plan today yesterday wasn't in cozy. Perry throwing deep that wasn't the game planning nor Dinnie mean to what's going on with Mark richt Larry fedora at midfield this. Well, I think to tell the story Margaret in the door, you have to go back several years. Remember that famous now infamous Jif of the then with Carolina. Quarterback putting the u up and then throwing the you down. They ran up the score and were very disrespectful for whatever reason you talked to the players you talk to people around the program will tell you that UNC is just very disrespectful. A very disrespectful team last year Braxton Berrios did the inverse thing of the infamous Jeff the you was down and he picked it up North Carolina kid. Lots swagger. There were some late shots at quarterback. They exchanged words last year. And I guess Larry fedora felt like the university of Miami was running the score up on them, but they were running the ball. Pardon me? Jen's. I feel as though we owe Mr. fidora an apology. We've been calling him Larry fedora all willy nilly. When his name's actually Herbert Lawrence fedora. We should treat him on the respect that he deserved. Thank you. Thank you Bill. Thank you. You're always there for us. Herbert Lawrence fidora what the Skype and is. I just don't know what his deal is. I wish he would act a little bit more professionally like a like a true gentleman, like our head coach McGregor, hey, North Carolina. If you're going to be airgun, be better, be better..

"VIP back it's the LSU versus Alabama game Arctic overbuilt not overpriced getting ready for the opening game of two thousand eighteen LSU and Miami in Arlington coach wanna talk a little bit now about the scouting report what we know and. What you guys know more importantly about the hurricanes are coming off a good year that. Could, have been great certainly it was obvious that Mark. Rick former hurricane quarterback now back down in south Florida brought the swagger back to the u we've seen it over. The last two seasons they reeled off, ten wins last year got in the college football playoff conversation for. Just a few minutes then they, stumbled starting at thanksgiving lost their, final three to Pittsburgh Clemson obliterated them thirty eight to three and then Ten point loss to Wisconsin in the ball game but when. You watch the tape and look, at the returning core of the, canes defensively a team that had thirty. One takeaways Also a team that returns players responsible for nearly eighty. Percent of those force turnovers what stands out to you defensively win they have it rolling the. Speed tenacity wish they played a very good of Joe Jackson. Of the best players we're going to see a possible first round draft choice to safety, is a excellent blur ninety six tackles Of they make they. Make a lot of plays in the backfield they force you to throw an exception team. To throw interceptions Blitz you a bunch. In the right place didn't know how. To, tackle in space and they have a lot of speed of the thirty one turnovers I. Mentioned force last season this year again they return guys who were responsible for fourteen, of the seventeen interceptions of this hurricane secondary and you mentioned the senior safety jakulan Johnson also a senior corner and Michael Jackson they had eight of those fourteen or eight of those seventeen interceptions rather how do these guys, impact a game and. How do, you try and the offense. Dry to minimize the impact. They can have in the, passing game all sorts of protection I mean the quarterback's under the duress he's, holding up the throws he's throwing. His back foot throwing bad throws those guys. Do a great job of breaking on the throws but it all starts, defensive line linebackers blitz enables them to. Make these interceptors we're going, to have to do a. Great job of protecting Joel short, easy throws forward, to football. Defensive coordinator Manny Diaz runs a four three scheme. And their aggressive you talked about it on Monday they called They're. Defensive ends the fiber position or coming on every snap virtually junior in Joe Jackson returning as you touched on having six and a half sacks last year he's. On one side Jonathan Garvan a sophomore. Who, saw action in all thirteen games last season expected to be the starter on the other. D. n. spot being aggressive off the edge is nothing new to LSU but our, other subtleties our differences on how Miami approaches that attack that you guys need to be ready for what has been the same spot a lot of people play bass defense those guys running up the field but these guys, are blitzen slamming they. Come from, all over the place sometime. To drop safeties coming we. Have to be very smart, in which we run all fence on those these will do a great job, again little stores with protection I. Would offense I'm not telling you anything you. Don't know but the u. n. linebackers over the years seemed to go, together no surprise they have some talent. There veteran group of juniors, across the board leading the. Way McLeod quarter min and paint. And while I said they're based in a four three. I've been reading? Over the, last couple of weeks that Manny Diaz and Jonathan, Pat key who is now, the Outside Linebackers coach that kind of introduced a striker position which is. I understand it tweaks, it a, little bit more two three three five alignment where. The striker handles both run support as well as being able to move being a little. More Aflac and working against the passing, game am I right on that and what type of linebacker play can we expect to see on the other side of the line Sunday Dave. In three or four defense just be, different personnel the difference in a, three four defense and afford three. Different changes all your blocking schemes so that's what they're doing it. To confuse your blocking schemes because God drop another strike a position but that's. Something we'll see we're very well. Prepared, for it let's go. Out to Twitter. Again if you're out there, tonight one a, tweet a question or comment to the coach we can do that. At LSU. "Go to texas stadium for that one of those non conference games so it's week two of the season a big game at tech scene in college station so that'll be a test early and then at four state test and their home against south carolina so there are three big games two of three begins they play are going to be on the road so there you have to go to florida go to tags am other games i mean tough games right now that's pretty much able to get through everyone luvell at home be fine south carolina on the road and the season especially if you're undefeated going to that game i'll be w interesting to watch on november twenty fourth and right in the middle of the season could make or break either of those teams they could become both teams could be coming in they're very easily undefeated clemson florida state and the loser probably wins that conference or winter sorry winter probably was conference at least wins that i think the divisions in the acc the atlantic and the coastal florida state yeah photo clubs are in the same division and then you have you have the miami as well never division so they probably will have a chance to win that one and get back we'll have my have a rematch for the acc championship game again well maybe we'll see clemson maybe a little more better of a competitive match but no knowing that defense knowing the front the front three that clemson puts up there they're all top picks quarterbacks look out beware beware quarterbacks i would not want to be useful i mean you have john i mean that's not a question mark down there speaking of acc teams we talked about call four states still have that update nothing fully tiger as i made a decision yet i think he's really gonna wait till fall practice e if james blackman really deserves to continue to be starter he's shown the ability to get into the facility and be in his office and beyond his bonds but coaches bud and be in the room and get better bigger i was the one drawback one knock on him was that he was too skinny to spindly legs a little a little wobbly there so me it gets more meat on them bones will be definitely building muscle mass will definitely be helping him out and helping his chances of succeeding if he does get the chance but you always don's for john dre francois and he was a highly touted recruit and how they tied a player coming in before you got hurt and he's also shown a lot of success for the state so surprised if he's started i mean i think that really wants to show successes want to have to hope a quarterback that had mediocre success last year they're not going to run the run the same thing over again is gonna give it to the veteran who's who's had success this level and his an be able to get them more success because i think willie tagger needs to win and win early at florida state there's not really much of a leeway there they wanna win down there in tallahassee so that's why would i think at that school but then you have the top school in the miami they have maliki zere they have some very nice pieces on the outside as well so as well especially that defense second their defensive backfield secondary and their defense is very towns that as well their top safety so looking back at some of these top picks around i mean looking find probably i mean there's going to be so on richards for miami is top guy in he's very seabra playing for them and he's gonna be up in there in the top of the draft so i mean he's a top bring to receiver so looking defensive end joe jackson miami as well i mean they have different guys up here in the top breakings of these drafts coming out for next year as jakulan johnson that's the safety i was talking about the last show as well so talent in miami team is everybody thought that they were a year early last year so this is the year that you could really key on have another chance they can get a rematch and trying avenge their obliteration last season from from the hands of clemson who have four guys on the defensive enemy see another one on the.

"And he's turning all this stuff into a big deal just you're a rookie quarterback you're not start saying i don't even know why the browns are letting him do this media they shouldn't be but if he's going to do it he needs to handle himself in a different way so that he can worry about on the field stuff not this off the field i'm i used to love colin cowherd i don't listen to him anymore because i work in this business i don't wanna listen to it all day but his job is to give reaction so people talk about his show oh yeah he's doing his job by saying he can get baker on there and stir up some shit you and i wanna go listen to it now right we don't usually but now we want to and that's what he's supposed to do yes so i feel like he's he's doing his job let's not get upset at him i'm with you and i know everybody's like oh well you're texas fans know if this were vince young i would say the same thing like stop get you don't need to be doing interviews and like you said handle yourself a little differently one more thing before we get to this goats list the sports illustrated top one hundred college football players less came out and because we will be doing so much college football coverage for you guys to the season i wanted to take a moment to talk about this list it's not a draft list these are not it's not ranked by prospect it's college football impacts i'm gonna run it down for you number ten was dexter lawrence the defensive lineman from clemson like it number nine rashawn gerry de tackle michigan hell yeah we've talked about this a lot he's he's a stud plays all over that d line here's worship got a little weird jakulan johnson safety miami at number eight overall that one surprises me i think that's if i was going to go with a db i feel like it would be greedy williams at lsu even if we're talking college impact not necessarily pro prospects or even the corner from georgia dre baker he showed up game after game last year it's the safety class isn't that good i don't think so i don't know maybe he's going to have a great year this year and really be a standout get aware that turnover chain and couple more time he'll have to be because they lost so much from that d line to the draft number seven cleland farrell from clemson big fan they're not stakes mellows jonathan taylor thomas the running.
