S. the NC well there's a good likelihood he's lying he's lying about all of this and then you got Joey Joey Scarborough for liberal job you know he's just loosen it you know it and a hundred and sixty eight days they they can't stand the thought that they're gonna have to utter the words of president elect you get it you know we can now project Donald Trump has been re elected the forty fifth president the United States I mean I think that might be the single most entertaining moment in our lives if that happens I don't take anything for granted I always act like you're a touchdown down you need you're in a two minute drill you have no time out she got across the plain and kick the field goal to win that's how I look at elections I'm but all of these P. they don't care it's that Donald Trump said what have you got to lose that bothers them you know what a doctor oz say so often and join us at the top of the hour over this he kept saying over and over again it's not the army you wish I had it's the army you do have what's the first roll of a position do no harm okay now we've got all the doctors that say just the opposite of what you just heard and you know they well one thing I learned about doctors is that a lot of them have opinions and they're all high hyper competitive and they all want to point to the other doctors a doctor sucks but I'm great that doctor sucks and I'm great you know sort of like all my cars great your car's not great people's egos are wrapped up and everything now what ever happened to the right to try now think about how profound that one one three shift one change one paradigm shift in the country you know happened under Donald Trump what's the right to try okay you tried conventional medicines they're not working you're on your death bed unless you do something you're gonna drop dead and if you want to try some type of treatment that is unproven in some cases or you want to try a treatment that that maybe is showing promise as you have that right it's your life it's not the government's life you know what we what we we are endowed by our creator with certain inalienable life our rights life liberty and the pursuit of happiness it's it's god given rights not man given rights not government given rights anyway so much for the right to choose from people on the left and so much that they're they really you know Republicans they just don't like science okay we don't like your phony fake science like your pony fake news there's a big difference there now if you care about what the real truth on hydroxy chloroquine is well we had the thousand patients study by the doctor in France we spent a lot of time talking about that all indications are there that it would speed and it would speed up recovery less symptoms for example less severe symptoms and when taken with a central myosin and and take it would sink it showed promising results for some but not others and they had a V. a study that was ridiculous because basically the people are on their death bed and it was a retrospective study area okay we'll try this you got two days to live only works best according to all the doctors I have spoken to when you use it immediately upon finding out that you were covert nineteen are positive I know they used it in all the hospitals in Long Island most of them in New York as well now what the mob in the media is not going to tell you is they say this is an unproven corona virus drugs president trump reveals he's taking a potentially deadly medications taking a deadly medication from big doors medical science once again those are the headlines from the mob on April twenty eighth the association of American physicians and surgeons they issued the following press release all of you idiots conspiracy theorists wires for three and a half years that hate trump every second minute hour of every day you might want to listen quote peer reviewed studies published from January through April twentieth twenty twenty provide clear and convincing evidence that hydroxy caloric when in combination with zinc and or or with no myosin may be beneficial in treating covert nineteen especially when used early and observational data from China France South Korea Algeria and the U. S. ninety one point six percent of the two thousand three hundred thirty three patients treated in total improve clinically meanwhile there were just sixty three deaths fifty two of which came from a single retrospective study that's the be a study so really if you add that it's eleven eleven deaths putting aside this stupid stunt the VA study is ridiculous now additional benefits shown in some studies include a decrease in the number of days when a patient is contagious a contagious a reduction in the need for ventilators well the way getting on the ventilator that rule was screaming about that was not good your odds are not good if you got on the ventilator anyway reduction it would be a reduction in the need for ventilators a decrease in the time needed for a clinical recovery and many nations including Turkey India are protecting medical workers and contacts of infected persons prophylactic Lee according to the world of meters dot info deaths per million persons from covert nineteen as of April twenty seventh are a hundred and sixty seven in the US of a block right but going back here while I'm now let me go to who I think is the foremost expert on this Sunday I'm I'm reiterating this because these idiots in the media they don't want an answer now ideally we would have all clinical trials that go on for years well when you're in the moment and it's life and death you gotta go with the army of god and we've had I've had people on this program a number of people that have told their story how hydroxy caloric winds they believe save their life and it was a dramatic turnaround it didn't happen to everybody but it happened to a number of people now this is from Daniel J. Wallace M. D. he is the the board certified rheumatologist based at cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles let me read his letter I inherited the largest lupus practice in the U. "jake president trump" Discussed on State of the Union with Jake Tapper
"Welcome back to state of the Union. I'm Jake Tapper. Ner Took Jake Tapper as governors way. How and when it may be safe to reopen president trump is putting his finger on the scale egging on a small faction of protesters who say they want restrictions lifted. He's also attacking democratic governors including my next guest. Virginia's Governor Ralph Northbound Governor North. I'm saying thanks for joining us. I want you to take a listen to president. Trump's attack against you at his Press briefing Saturday. That people really have to start looking at is. What's going on in Virginia? Because that's a mess with a government with really a governor. That's under siege. Anyway they're trying to take that that Second Amendment right that Second Amendment right away to me that's liberty. That's when I say liberate Virginia. What's your response to President Trump sir? Well Good Morning Jake. And thanks so much for having me on. I hope you and your your listeners. Your viewers are all healthy. You know our our president obviously has been unable to deliver on test now. He has chosen to focus on protests. And this is not the time for protest. This is not the time for divisiveness. This is time for leadership that will stand up and and provide empathy. That will will understand what's going on this country of ours with this pandemic it's time for Truth and it's the time to bring people together. And that's what I've done is the governor of Virginia and We're we're fighting a biological war. We've been asked by the way as governors to fight that war without the supplies. We need and so. The governor's have worked together to to really increase the amount of P p. e. that we have we been competing for that unfortunately but working collaboratively We've we've worked very hard every day to to increase our testing capability and and I just. I commend the governor's but I also commend Virginians. Virginians know what this is about. They're working together. They're checking on others. Are Teachers are stepping up? I just Just it's an unbelievable response and you know we're fighting. We're in the middle of a health crisis right now. We're also in the middle of an economic crisis and just as soon as we can get this health crisis behind us will be able to address the economic crisis. Get back to where we were and and let people get back to their normal lives. Obviously you signed a number of a sweeping gun control measures Into law in the last few weeks and president trump is not made any secret that he disagrees with that. The Governor Jay Inslee of Washington State says the language of liberate Virginia that you heard from President trump in Ensley view it quote encourages illegal and dangerous action quote lead the violence. Do you agree. We've had some terrible tragedies here in Virginia Jake with with gun violence as you know in two thousand and seven. We lost thirty. Two precious lives at Virginia Tech in all over the Memorial Day weekend last year we lost twelve lives and you know and I brought the legislature back to Virginia for a special session. The Republicans spent less than ninety minutes address in gun violence and and Virginian stood up. They spoke they said enough is enough They said that you know the thoughts and prayers. We appreciate those but but we want legislators that will come to Richmond and take votes and pass laws so I was pleased Just this past week to sign seven pieces of commonsense gun legislation. That will keep Virginia Safe. So so that's what happens when when people listen And they've they've responded and you know right now. Jake this is about this pandemic of I. I'll be glad to talk about gun. Violence and what we've done but it's time for Virginia for this country to come together and address the lives that we are losing Every day to try to put this health crisis behind us this week. He said your state or rather your Commonwealth was slowing the spread of the virus but the peak would likely not happen until the end of the month with corona virus cases continuing to climb in Virginia. When do you think that the economy could potentially start to open back up? Which is a great question. Jake and I think it's something that the governor's wrestle with every day today just as an example we had close to five hundred new cases. Close to twenty new desks and and while we're not seeing a significant increase. It looks like it's flattening out a bit and so we would like to see at least two weeks of trending numbers Going DOWN We WanNa make sure that. We have the P. P. that we need in our hospitals and our penitentiaries and our nursing homes. We WanNA RAMP UP OUR TESTING CAPABILITIES. And as soon as we see all these things coming We'll open up our businesses just as soon as we can but we want to make sure that we do it responsibly. And we want to do it safely as you know. You've been criticized for your hand lowering handling of the crisis compared to your neighboring states. Robert McCartney from the Washington Post Recently wrote quote. One might assume that a governor who spent most of his career as a physician. That's you would be among the first depressed for quick decisive action to combat a deadly fast spreading infectious disease but one would be mistaken and it is true that you only ordered a state of emergency after Maryland and Washington. Dc did so you only issued a stay at home order after West. Virginia and Kentucky did so. Do you wish you at acted earlier. Were Jake as you said. I am a physician I served in Desert Storm. Taking care of wounded soldiers have been in some tough situations in the ER saving and helping children and their and their families. We took some very aggressive steps in Virginia. We we warn the first states to close down schools for for the spring. We have a stay at home order through June tenth. We've asked our hospitals and our providers to elective surgeries. I so that we can make sure that we have the bed capacity supplies that we need. So you know. We've taken some very aggressive steps. This social distancing the good hygiene that we the guidelines that we've been there working In Virginia and again. I'm so proud of Virginia's for what they're doing. And we're going to get through this together and Jake we came into this covert nineteen is a very strong Commonwealth. We were the number one state in this great country of ours in which to do business and I have reminded. Virginia's we're going to come out of this strong as well. The president and vice-president saying over the past few days that the US has enough testing capacity for states to begin opening back up. If you feel you're ready to go into phase. One is at the case in Virginia. Do you have enough tasks to do the test. You need to do jake. That's just delusional to be making statements like that. We we have been fighting every day for P. P. And we've got some supplies now coming in. We'VE BEEN FIGHTING FOR FOR TESTING. It's not a it's not a straightforward test. We don't even have enough swabs. Believe it or not. And we're ramping that up but for the national level to say that we have what we need and really to to have no guidance to the state levels It's just irresponsible. Because we're not there yet governor north. I'm thank you so much for your time Come back we love to have you on to talk about some other issues. Thanks so much jake. President trump is pushing states to ease corona virus restrictions even as his own medical advisers in many governors. Do including my next guests. Say reopening the country right now. Still risks too. Many American lives joining me now. Maryland's Republican governor Larry Hogan Governor Hogan. It's good to see you. I want to start with the news that in this bill legislation. That's coming out that will Fund some of the small business loans. it's also gonNA fantastic. It's also going to fund hospitals according to Secretary Mnuchin. But but they're not gonNA provide money for states and I know you've been outspoken. I quoted you to Secretary Mnuchin. He said maybe in the next legislation Will there be funding for states. What's your response? Well first of all. We're we're just Hopeful that We can get all these parties to agree and put aside partisanship in the US. Senate get the administration and the senators on both sides of the aisle to reach some kind of deal to get this done because we do need to get this money out for our small businesses and certainly. The hospitals need help as well. I spoke with the Secretary of Mnuchin several times last week. We also had a discussion with the president and while the we're a little disappointed The NCAA is pushing was just me? But the National Governor's Association was pushing for this funding which desperately needed for the states if we want to get this economic recovery moving But that they did commit to work with us in the fourth stimulus. Bill The the Governor's all across the country. Republicans and Democrats of the National Governor's Association. Were pushing to try to get it included in this bill. I don't think the deals Finalized yet but look we do not WanNa hold up funding to these small businesses and we hope that the Democrats and the Republicans in the Senate can come together in a bipartisan way. And get something moving for the American people. I know you've seen this video from Tacoma Park Maryland Video on Friday from local. News chose hundreds of Marylanders lined up outside Mega Mart stores for a free food giveaway. They obviously desperate many of them. I'm assuming have no income at all. Because of the shutdown what do you say to your constituents About when you're going to open the state up and what goes through your mind when you see the desperation evidence in the video well first of all My heart goes out to all the people that are struggling. And we've been focused on this. It's this twin problem of fighting to try to save people's lives but we're also very concerned about the people who are not able to work in the small businesses that are hurting which is why You know I'm a lifelong small business person myself. I ran for governor because I was concerned about people. Losing their jobs My goal is to try to get US. Open as quickly as we possibly can. But in a safe way The president's own guidelines. Say That you should have a fourteen days of declining numbers before you start to consider phase one of a reopening and we have increasing numbers Every day here in the Washington region Governor myself and Governor Mayor Bowser in the district. So we're not at the point yet where we can but we have a very detailed reopening plan. We've been working on for weeks. Were anxious to get people back to work. the The folks that were lined up for food. Look it came from a good place this Grocery store was offering free bags of food. Which is why so. Many people showed up But they didn't coordinate with the local authorities and you had some crowds which was unfortunate but look we put eight eight million dollars into local food banks to try to make sure that people were not going hungry. The first thing. You've called for an order to reopen. Your state is an expansion of testing capacity. I want you to take a listen to what the vice president and president trump has said on that issue. We believe today that we have the capacity in the United States to do a sufficient amount of testing For States to move into phase one at the time and manner that they deem to be appropriate as our experts said yesterday. America's testing capability and capacity is fully sufficient. Could begin opening up the country. Totally Governor North Just called that delusion all the idea that states have enough testing What do you think? Do you have Enough testing to move into phase. One.

The backlash is coming after American. Airstrikes Ron backed militia group in Iraq killed dozens of its members the US. I said those strikes were in response to a missile attack on Iraq military base. That killed an American contractor though a spokesperson for the militia group denied. They they were involved. We will not stand for this Republican Ron to take actions that put American men and women in jeopardy on twitter. President trump blamed Iran accusing orchestrating the attack on the embassy and warning that their government will be held fully responsible with tensions flaring. The president spent less than an hour at his golf course today though he was dressed in his usual golf attire trump said he had a meeting on the Middle East and would provide updates throughout the day from his mar-a-lago Club. But it's still to be determined if this this gets escalated even further. Or if things start to tamp down after this Jake Galen Collins traveling with the president thanks so much. Arwa Damon has covered the security situation in Iraq extensively. Insulation joins me now from the region. There were chance of death to America and demands that the US leave the country. What is the situation on the ground right now? Well Jake what we now know of. The situation is that those fires that were set seemed to have have been largely put out or decreased and Iraq's counter terrorism units finally arrived on the scene and are securing occurring. It seems from images that we have been able to obtain Securing the perimeter however there are tents that have been put up where the protesters protesters do remain just on the road that runs in front of the US embassy. That impeachment could cost Democrats the House but some in her caucus do seem concerned a group of Democrats in districts that president trump one were pushing for the president to be censured instead of impeached. And at at least two. Democrats are leaning towards voting against impeachment. Joining me now as a member of the House Judiciary Committee Congresswoman Pramilla Giant Hall of Washington State Congressman. Good to see you as always thanks for joining us. Let me ask you the odds that the Republican led Senate will remove the president from office or not particularly high why not censure ensure president trump instead of impeaching him. Essential motion is probably more likely to pick up some Senate Republican votes and put inefficient black mark next to the president's name now this just isn't about what the Senate will do. This is about upholding our oath to the constitution. And here's the thing. We have a president who is committed the greatest of abuses of uses of power and obstruction of Congress which essentially says that. He's a monarch. He's the dictator. This this is a man who used the oval office to bully and Co worse a foreign ally to interfere in our election. And it isn't just Ukraine. Jake as you know. There's is a pattern of conduct here with this president trying to literally take away our democracy that is a grave threat. This is also a president. Unprecedented precedent it. By the way this didn't happen with Nixon didn't happen with Clinton he is obstructed. Congress at every single stage refused to send his people into testify. If I refused to provide any documents he has said that article two gives him the power to do anything he wants. We cannot allow that to happen. And I I hope that the Republicans in the House and in the Senate understand that we are not here serving our parties. We're here to serve our nation and that it means that we have to look at the uncontested facts that are in front of us the gravity of the situation and they should stand with us to vote. Yes on these articles of impeachment. Do you know of any any house. Republicans who might vote to impeach. Well I am waiting for them to emerge two weeks ago. My former Washington state Senator Slade Gorton in a Republican came out with an op-ed that said Republicans have plenty in front of them to vote to impeach the president. That's what they should do. He broke with his party on the Clinton impeachment. That is the kind of courage we need. We need the patriotism and the courage of the similar to the many foreign service individuals who came and testified before for us. And so. That's I think the most important thing it looks like I lost my earpiece there so okay do you know. Hopefully you'll be able to get it and and there you go again okay. Democratic sources tell C. N. N. at the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Your Committee Jerry. Nadler privately advocated advocated for obstruction of justice to be one of the articles of impeachment which would have included evidence from the Mueller probe? That was a point of contention in your party party. Ultimately it was not included as an article of impeachment. Do you think it should have been included. I think it was a point of contention. I will tell you that these two articles there are lots of different views here and we looked at all of the views. The most important thing to us on the Judiciary Committee as we had many discussions with the pattern of conduct. That was found around in the Muller Report In the Mueller investigation that we had a way to present that into these articles and both articles on abuse of power hour and on obstruction of Congress. Have that built into it. There are a couple of lines each article that talks about that pattern of conduct because as terrible as what what happened in the Miller report was this is actually wild. Donald trump is president so Ukraine was so much more in different ways. But had we not had the Muller Investigation Nation. I'm I'm not sure we would be at this point. So that was incredibly important that pattern of conduct and we have included those in these articles of impeachment. And I think that's what most most of us were very concerned about converse. I wanted to get your reaction as a member of the House Judiciary Committee to Attorney General Bill Bar today saying that the FBI may have acted acted in bad faith by opening the Russia investigation. And saying that the trump campaign was spied on despite what the Inspector General report actually really status. Ed which is neither of those things bill bar is a sham. As an attorney general he should not be in that position. He is supposed to be advocating waiting for the country. He's not supposed to be the president's personal lawyer to to criticize his own attorney general or contradict his own attorney general. It shows US exactly his true colors. He's never going to stand up for the country he's only going to stand up for a corrupt president who is abused his office and obstructed Congress. And I think bill ars should not be the attorney general. That should be for somebody who is dedicated to the law of the country not to be the the president's personal attorney Democratic congresswoman up from a proprietary formula jay-paul of Washington state. Spy chief defends handling of "unprecedented" whistleblower complaint
"Welcome to a special edition of the lead the White House in crisis. I'm jake tapper and what has been a nonstop and truly unprecedented day of news. President trump apparently furious about the whistle blower whose allegations now threatened to bring about his impeachment sources. Tell Mr trump behind closed doors earlier today said he wanted to know who in his administration spoke with the whistle blower and according wanting to the New York Times which first reported the story president trump then said quote because that's close to a spy. You know what we used to do. In the old days when we were smart with spies and treason right we used to handle it a little differently than we do now unquote and apparent reference there to executions as well as a misuse of the term treason season but the president's over the top response comes in context comes after a key moment in the trump impeachment inquiry today we got our first look at the full whistleblower a complaint about the president the one that sparked this whole impeachment investigation this whistle blower sounding the alarm about president trump using his power to get Ukraine aim to interfere in the two thousand twenty election and the White House according to the whistle blower then trying to lock down records of that phone call hiding the transcript in a computer system or only the most sensitive national security information is typically stored today House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said it is clear what this sounds like to her. This is a cover up allegations of abuse of power and an ensuing cover up. If would-be quite damning would be extremely unethical and now of course it is up to Congress decide if those acts happened and if they are impeachable today the acting director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire testified on Capitol Hill defending the decision to not immediately hand over the whistle blower complaint to Congress as prescribed by law but Maguire would not say whether he spoke to president trump about the matter. Did you ever speak to the president about this complaint my conversations with the president because I'm the director of National Intelligence are privileged acting DNA McGuire added that he thought the whistle blower and the intelligence community inspector inspector general both acted in good faith. Let's go straight to CNN Sara Murray and Sarah. Despite president trump attacking the whistle blowers sources the acting spy. Hi Chief says he believes the whistle blower did all the right things. That's right jake president trump and his Republican allies have questioned the credibility the motives of this whistleblower whistle blower and we saw from the acting deny today as he was pairing these questions from lawmakers he said look it is not my job to investigate this complaint that was up to the inspector general he he found this complaint to be credible any went on to say that he believes both the inspector general and this whistleblower did essentially exactly what you're supposed to do. In this situation. I want to stress that I believe that the whistle blower and the inspector general have acted in good faith throughout I I have every reason to believe that they have done everything by the book and followed the law so you can see him sort of stepping out there and offering the defense he could he also admitted that he does not know who this whistle blower as he does not want to know who this whistle-blower as though he's committed to maintaining this person's protections and ensuring they're not retaliated against Jake and Sarah the the acting director of National Intelligence McGuire was asked multiple times about his conversations with President trump about this he refused to answer but there was was one part of his conversations with President trump that he was willing to discuss. That's right jake I mean. This is obviously a point of frustration for lawmakers. They wanted to know whether he and the president had ever talked about the complaint. He wouldn't say anything about that but he was asked to. The president want to know who this whistle blower was. Did he want you to find find out. Here's what he said did the president of the United States ask you to find out the identity of the whistle blower. I can say although I would not normally discuss my conversations with the president. I can tell you emphatically no now. He also confirmed that no one else at the White House no one else at the Justice Justice Department has asked him to try to figure out who the whistle blower is but jake you can imagine lawmakers were very skeptical. Today they had a lot of questions for him about why he would have taken a complaint that mentions the president and Attorney General Bill Bar by name and then gone to the White House and the Justice Department indeed Sara Murray thanks so much complaint lays out in detail the whistle blowers concerns concerns the president trump was pushing a foreign power Ukraine to investigate his potential twenty twenty opponent senior Justice correspondent Evan Perez with me now and Evan. What what exactly does the whistle blower say about President Trump's conduct well jake this is the bombshell really in the complaint and it has to do with what exactly the president was up up to when he was making these conversations saying these things to the president of Ukraine part of the complaint says in part I have received information from multiple. US government government officials that the president of the United States is using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country into twenty twenty US election obviously Jake that is the the center of this controversy now that the White House has released a phone call. Everyone can make a judgment to determine whether or not they believe this is what the president was doing asking. The Ukrainians needs to investigate his likely rival in the twenty twenty election heaven. What does this whistle blower saying the letter about how the White House handled the aftermath of the phone call right end what the whistle blower says that there was an attempt to cover up essentially people at the White House knew that this could be a problem and so what the whistle blower lower says in part is this. I learned from multiple. US officials that senior White House officials have have intervened to lock down all records of the phone call. This is the Ukrainian phone call especially the official word for word transcript of the call that was produce. This set of actions underscored to me that White House officials understood stood the gravity of what transpired in the call and Jake according to this to this whistleblower other phone calls other interactions were handling it in a different manner or this one was handled in a completely separate way and again. That's that's leading to all of the accusations of a cover up all right. Evan Perez thank you so much the New York Times first reported in CNN and has confirmed that president trump earlier today told staff from the United States mission to the United Nations that he wanted to know who provided information to the whistle blower about his call call with Ukrainian president and whoever talked to the whistle blower was quote close to a spy and then he said quote in the old days spies were dealt with differently an apparent allusion to executions. I WANNA bring in C. N. N. White House correspondent bore Sanchez or as how was this met by staffers. Jake many any were stunned. According to The New York Times some actually even laughed this was a crowd of about fifty people according to the reporting of the UN Ambassador Basseterre Kelly Kraft was also in the room for this at least one of these people was taking notes and that's how we know what the president said listen to this quote specifically the president saying unquote. I want to know who's the person who gave the whistle blower the information because that's close to a spy you know what we used to do. In the old days when we were smart about spies and treason right we used to handle it a little differently than we do now. Jake the president making an apparent suggestion that these people should potentially face the death penalty very noteworthy considering the issues circling this president regarding obstruction of justice in the past and the fact that these officials could potentially become witnesses in the very near future also because the acting head of the deny was testifying at the time that this whistle blower acted lawfully and and did the right thing jake. There's certainly going to be questions about witness. Intimidation based on those remarks Boris. We are also just learning that Corey Lewin douse key the president's his former campaign manager is in conversations with the White House about potentially heading up the impeachment team to defend president trump. That's Rijeka the familiar face returning to center stage potentially of this kind of gives you an idea of the scramble behind the scenes at the White House with people close to the president telling CNN that they wonder if the White House has a plan to respond to this impeachment inquiry according to multiple sources Corey Lewandowski had conversations with White House officials about joining warning some kind of team to respond to this inquiry notably Stephanie Grisham the press secretary told CNN there are no plans to form an impeachment response team low. Lohan Dow ski told CNN that he had not spoken directly to president trump but he didn't totally deny the reporting altogether Jacobs right last resort Lewandowski. He was testifying on Capitol Hill among the things they said was that he doesn't see anything wrong with lying to journalists which is essentially the same thing as lying to the American people yeah. Boris thanks so much much more on our breaking news including cluding if the whistle blower will testify before Congress you're watching a special expanded edition of the

President Donald Trump on Monday, attempting victory lamp following his immigration deal with Mexico. This is something the US has been trying to get for over twenty years with Mexico. They've never been able to do it. As soon as I put tariffs on the table. It was it was done. It took two days, but a former senior administration official tells CNN that major portions of the agreement or not new, and we're already settled months before President Trump for into slap tariffs on Mexican imports, the source confirming reporting in the New York Times that Mexican officials had already agreed to mobilize Mexican national guard troops to their southern border also previously agreeing to a program that would allow undocumented immigrants seeking asylum in the US to remain in Mexico, as their claims are processed in at least a dozen tweets the president lashing out and defending the deal at one point writing, quote, Mexico is doing more for the USA on the legal immigration than the Democrats. The president also promising and added agreement that is yet to announce. But we purposely said, we wouldn't mention it for a little while it's going to be brought up because it has to be. Bye bye. Their legislative body administration officials are backing the president acting secretary, Kevin. Michael, Leland insisting the deal is new and at the threat of tariffs helped expedite and expand previous agreements is very different. The president put a charge in this whole dialogue with Mexico with the tariff thread, brought them to the table foreign minister from Moscow arrived within hours. He ride the next day with real proposals on the table. Some Democrats implying Trump is trying to save face and avoid imposing tariffs that he promised. He's still saying that there are secret provisions to the deal that make it better that make it more than Mexico had already agreed to months ago. Look, this is classic Trump spinning up a conflict that fires up his base. But the destabilize is one of our critical alliances. And Jake President Trump just tease the supposed unannounced portion of this deal yet again on the south lawn today. Mexico's top diplomat contradicted the president suggesting that there was no secret portion of this deal at a press conference in Mexico. Politico's reporting that has speaker Paul Ryan called the president this weekend and begged him to focus on the economy instead of these fears of the caravan that he's stoking obviously speaker Ryan concerned that this might turn off some keys voters in swing districts. Sure that the suburban house districts where people are worried about maybe in October the stock market going down. And they're worried about the state of the economy. They want to see the president focus on the good news in the economy. I think frankly, the president had it, right? A few weeks ago when he was saying Democrats, create mobs Republicans. Great jobs that was his own special kind of branding. I thought they had it right? And he sort of abandoned it, you know, after a few days, but it was I think it was really working out there. I will tell you that this immigration issue is certainly potent in some areas, and the reason I know it is because Democrats are also using it in the middle of the country, but for the suburban house districts, I think Paul Ryan has it right? Shoring up the suburban white collar Republicans on the economy is really wary Republican campaign ought to be. So the CNN karston CNN FOX Facebook and NBC of all palled that web video racially charged with video from the air is also full of falsehoods. The president was asked about the ad and whether or not it was offensive, but before he left Washington this afternoon. Take a listen to his response. We have a lot of ads, and they certainly are effective based on the numbers that were saying, well, a lot of things are offensive your questions are offensive. So his response seemed by the way, the Joshua's questions or not offensive. But the the point seemed to be it's effective. Forget about whether or not I think the fact that Fox News.

"Words act unwisely the white house simply downplayed it joining you want to go cnn chief washington gore's wanted jake tapper and jake donald trump wrapping up the rhetoric on north korea wall secretary of state tillerson dismissing concerns about an imminent threat so is it good cop bad cop it's up to three if you're actually is a strategy going on here trump people are suggesting that it is good cop bad cop but it also feels like than doing your job on secretary mattis is doing his job and president trump is kind of ad living in speaking extemporaneously and it's unclear how much of what he says is planned or carefully measured as we know in a nuclear showdown it's important that words be very carefully and meticulously chosen in other news trump resuming his public feud with senate majority leader mitch mcconnell over the party failure to repeal and replace the affordable care correct could we see a change in senate leadership out of this i got it because quite frankly republican in the senate and very very highly uh but then it majority leader and they do not understand president trump's attitude towards them yet there was a failure than the president has a good argument to make that her seven years they were promising to do so and they didn't actually have a plan to do so you know when the dog finally caught the baht but along with the added the fact that president trump if you talk to people on capitol hill you was not particularly helpful when it came to uh the efforts to repeal and replace and finally jake president trump talking about russia thing he's glad russia kicked out hundreds of us diplomats says he will save money what do you make of this well it's not true it won't save money but that's not how the budgets four diplomats and and other you know embassy aid work but beyond that i mean at the comment that a lot of people were stunned by um because i mean look what putin did was an anti american act and here we have the president not only not protesting but acting as if it was a good thing i don't know if he was joking are trying to put a positive spin on it but i think a lot of people were very prime the and.
