Effectively Wild: A FanGraphs Baseball Podcast

"I didn't know if those muscles would ever grow back. If I was just done as a fan if I would never be able to feel what I had felt as a fan before, so I tried. And I decided I wasn't going to watch anything but the Giants, I was just going to process the season as I used to. As a giant fan and everything that mattered to the Giants I would care about, but everything that I wouldn't care about. And it was amazing. It was like really the most extraordinary experience I've had in baseball. Maybe in my life, it's up there with like the stompers summer. I would say in terms of just like the height of my emotions, the rawness of my emotions came back and I was shocked. I mean, I was completely shocked and sort of embarrassed at how sincerely I got really, really, really emotionally into the success of this team. And so that was what I did a lot of. I was a 162 games and I probably listened to the full equivalent of maybe like a 145. I almost missed nothing. I would basically set aside three hours every day and go take a long walk and listen to the Giants play and then get back and finish the dishes. And I happened to do this during the I mean I think maybe the greatest regular season that any team could ever ask for or any fan could ever ask for, just like an absolutely extraordinary regular season. And I felt just incredibly grateful that I could enjoy it again that I could be free to listen to it and be in engaged in their success. I just kept thinking, oh, if I was if I was working right now, I would not care about the giant success. I would actually be rooting against the giant success because I would be that guy who was like, well, they're gonna regress to the mean. And I would have probably found it somewhat offensive that they kept on winning. And I certainly wouldn't have emotionally attached to their winning. And instead I got to do that. And it was incredible. I really, honestly, I'm kind of, this is going to everybody who is out there probably listens to a baseball or follows a baseball team as a fan and thinks that what I'm saying is the most obvious thing in the world. Yes, there's a reason that billions of people cheer for sports teams. But I honestly like I had forgotten that people actually care about this that they enthuse and it's like very real. The feelings that you feel are incredibly real. And so that was my a lot of my year. That was the most memorable part of my year. Probably was just being a Giants fan again. Yeah. You picked the perfect year to become a fan. Oh my gosh. It was terrible. It couldn't have worked out better. Truly, I mean, the thing that I kept the thing I kept on thinking about after the season was if at any point in this, you know, obviously you know going in that they're underdogs. You know that the doctors are going to be really tough and every time the Giants would give back a game you'd think, oh no, they'll never recover from that. And if they were ever happened to be behind the Dodgers, you thought, well, now it's done, there's no way they can catch them. But you do sort of hold out hope that, well, maybe the Giants will play really well and maybe the Dodgers will play poorly and maybe, you know, miracle will happen and they'll manage to beat them. But if at any point at any point in the season from day one to I mean like literally like maybe the fourth to last day of the season, if at any point you'd said, well, it's going to take a 107 wins. The Dodgers are going to win a 106. I would have given up entirely. Like, even with two weeks left, if you'd said, well, I mean, you know, they gotta win 11 of the next 13. I would have said, well, there's no way they're gonna win 11 of the next 13. It all felt impossible in retrospect. And so it was like a really gracious thing that we didn't know that it was going to take a 107 wins. I would have quit. I almost quit on day day four. I think it was. So the first day of the season, they had a 6 run lead on the Mariners. And I was taking my walk and then I get home and I turn it off and then I wake up the next day and I see that they have lost that their bullpen blew a 6 run lead. And I thought, well, that's about what I expected from this team. And then they won the next two against the Mariners. And then they go to San Diego, which is obviously a bigger test. Or actually, it turned out not to be. It turned out not to be a bigger test, but at the time it felt like a bigger test. So they go to San Diego and they blow the first game. The bullpen blows that game to. And it's Matt Whistler. And I thought, ah, this is about right, you know, 500 team with Matt weasel are blowing half the games. And then the next day, they have a lead in the 9th. I had been we were kind of on a little hiking vacation. So I was walking up and down a Home Depot parking lot in Ventura county. And listening to the game and I listened to the first 8 innings in The Home Depot parking lot. And then I went back to the hotel and listened to the 9th inning on my headphones and it was Jake McGee come into finish it off and Jake McGee gets into some trouble and like there's two on and maybe like a one or two run lead and tattoos is on deck or something like that. Some details like that. And I thought, if they blow this, I'm done. I'm not going to invest a year of my life caring about a team that is this mediocre. I will quit. I can't do it. And I realize that I have it in me to love the game when they're winning. I'm not totally sure I have it in me to love the game or to love the team when they're losing. But anyway, Jake McGee managed to hold on. And from that point on, the season was almost perfect. They were a flawless team in every way. It was incredible. Yeah. You make it sound as if you went hiking at The Home Depot. That was not the destination. No. It's a long way. We had actually gotten weathered out of our hike. We had plans to take a boat out to the Channel Islands and those are these things that are way out in the ocean. And then it was too windy. And so all of our boats for the week got canceled. And then we got stuck in Ventura with no boat..

I s and the Giants now lead 9 to 3. Here's La Stella, who is one for three. Stella hits a high drive to write it. Is out of here off the scoreboard here at regular field in the Giants have added more here in the fifth inning. Costello with his fourth of the seasons. And that was a big fella. 32 Flores hits a high fly ball to left field carrying well rebounds back. It is gone up into the bleachers, Wilmer Flores. A two run two out to strike homer, his 18th of the year. The bleacher bums at Wrigley will toss that baseball back on the field. Wilmer Flores puts the Giants ahead five to Happy to have Wilmer back, That's for sure. He is three for three with two singles and now Homer The pitch doing swinging the ground ball first base side gloved by Florence behind the bag, chest high, and he runs into the bag in time for the out, and the game is over. Jake McGee. Hangs on to it and gets the save. Good morning. Northern California This is Murphy back on KNBR, 145 and 16th. These sports leader. I love it comes even on a day. They only have to win 11 of the last 19 to sit at all time. San Francisco Giants win record one of three and 93 obviously On freaking believable. So, yeah, of course we'll go heavy Niners, but we've got to pay homage to how many runs by the way. They clinch a playoff spot with a win tonight. So I'm saying so. People say, by the way, cops are sent to you after I tell you that Murphy Mac show is sponsored by O'Donnell.

They take US six game road trip and win every one of them going back to last Sunday when they beat the Dodgers 6247 wins in a row. That's right, seven of them. And the Giants has scored. 56 runs given up 22 this road trip. 56 runs a scored and great game Today. They battled all the way down to the last out with Jake McGee. And Logan Web battle with a couple misses in the outfield, and he gets his tend to win alongside Would DeSclafani, Gausman and now Web They have all 10 wins or more great rotation, and we just got to get Alex would healthy and this rotation has been dialed in tomorrow. Of course, the Giants traveling from Chicago back home Uh, opener tomorrow, Leone will be pitching. Dominic Leone will be on the mound and we just don't know what to San Diego Padres are doing in their game. A couple of injuries that happen and they are getting shut out there getting no hit. They're having a perfect game is Max Scherzer right now is six outs away. He recorded his 3000 strikeout in this game, and he had immaculate inning the start off the game. That's nine straight pitches, nine straight strikes. Three case. It's so difficult to do that, so we'll keep an eye on What's going down in L. A San Diego is falling and falling fast. And sure enough, the Giants 19 games left. They're playing the Padres for 10 of them, 10 of them. So we'll see what happens with them. Uh, nobody probable right now for the Padres for tomorrow. Most likely it's going to be a bullpen game or they may push somebody up in the rotation. But going into today's game, just a great game. Of course, Wilmer floors coming off the I L spectacular Game three for 32 runs, scored three RBS hitting his 18th home run. In the fifth inning. A couple hits by Kris Bryant, a couple hits by rough two hits by Slater, But I have to say a couple misplayed balls by Slater and Center Field of Perfect Game was going on for Web going into the fourth inning and fly ball went out and he lost it in the sun almost got hit in the head with it. And or take ended up with a triple Two hitters later have hit his 22nd home run and Logan Web was in the stretch them and he got through it no doubt got through the fifth inning gave up a run on another ball that Brian and Slater ran into and they gave an error to Brian. That was a tough error and and ended up coming out after the went out in the seventh inning, three hitters in he walked out Contra Double by body and then pinch hit. Uh, got a base hit. And next thing, you know, uh, Tyler Rogers came in, and boy Tyler Rogers. Couple blue pits off of him, but he ended up striking Contreras out. Reverse out and that inning was over. And sure enough, Watson Nice 123 innings And McGee gives up a double to wisdom, but he ends up, settled down and got two ground balls to first in the game was over. McGee getting his 31st save Logan Web getting his 10th win Logan Web 10 and three on the season. And Tyler Rogers and his 70 appearance. 77 0. That's how many appearances he has been for the orange and black. And what can you say about Tony Watson just as really been dialed in ever since putting That Giants uniform back on. He's been an 18 appearances as a 2.8 earned run average for the Giants. So a stellar job coming in from the bullpen and saving this game for the win for Logan Web Alright, we're going to do play the game coming up next. We're going to talk about it. "The Giants. They go on a road trip to play three games, Of course Field where the Rockies are one of the best teams at home in baseball. They go to Wrigley Field where they haven't had a series sweep since 1995. They hardly want to game in the last four or five years. At Wrigley has been a very, very tough place for the Giants over the last few seasons and the Giants go six and O on the road trip, never lose a game and I don't know about you guys. But there were a lot of moments today where I thought, well, maybe they're just not supposed to win this game. Because I just was trying to figure out. How is this a close game the way it was played most of the way through and it was a close game and they had to fight all the way to the very end. Jake McGee. The tying run was at third base with two outs in the ninth inning, and he got through it and got the save and got the giant sweep. Well, I think you started to think that about the fourth inning after a few double plays by the Giants on offense, where they were unable to cash in and You know, John brought it up that that's just in steel. You know, as much as traffic as there was on the basis, and you don't on the year is 0 77 with runners in scoring position, so It goes to show you he's you know, even though there are some runners on base and in scoring position, he was able to pitch his way out of it like he's done all year for this Cubs team, But you expected the lead to be a lot bigger than the fourth inning. That ball goes up in the air. Slater loses it in the sun. They score, Run, You get the home run and you get the air and the collision in the fifth inning, they score another run. They just kind of hung around all game long. And, you know, Logan Web kind of got lost his rhythm after going nine up, nine down, Just dominant. Four strikeouts. You're like, Okay, Here we go again. This is going to be Give me another dominant performance by Logan Web and ultimately, they win this game, but they made it a lot more difficult on Logan Web and this giant pitching and then it should have been today so but a testament to the Giants and and what they've been able to do. This whole road trip. Just go out there and a different hero. Today it was Flores big game by floors coming off the ill and he was there. M V p today. And some days you need to score some runs and the chance did that in in Colorado when they needed to, and And they did it today, and that was also part of what you were saying. Dave was Because they had chances to score more runs than they did early on. They really had steel on the defensive. And and numerous times were a well placed fly ball or even a ground ball could have meant a run. They had so many guys on base, but they they got one in the second one in the third one in the fourth, and they just couldn't break through for any more than that. And then the Cubs capitalized on that break the ball lost in the sun by Slater. And they promptly put two runs on the board. So and then they got another break on the The miscommunication in the outfield and the ball that should have been caught. But it was right between Slater and Bryant and ended up being charged as an arrow to Bryant as they collided in the ball dropped. So, uh, but the Cubs again they took advantage of of all those opportunities. And, uh And then, finally, it was to the Tyler Rogers in the seventh and interesting to see that's the second time on this trip. Now that, uh Gabe Kapler used Rogers in the seventh, and he didn't wait till the eighth inning. And, uh so some guys have roles that are delineated. This is our eighth inning guy. This is our ninth inning guy, but, uh, capital. I think Look at that. Seven thing is With especially there was there already. Guys on base They had just like that scored a couple of runs against against Web and so he brought Rodgers and raise the game needed saving right then. And it wasn't easy, but he stranded three runners on base there and we don't think of him as being a strikeout guy. But he never got a ground ball in the in that inning. They gave up a couple of hits. And, uh you know, one was just a blue, but he struck out three guys. He needed strikeouts and he got him. And it's a good point you make, too, because I think part of also what's going on. I mean, the Giants been very flexible and using Rogers at the most important moments, he's been one of the best relievers in the league. They also have a guy Dominic Leone has sort of become their opener. In these bullpen games, and they are going to have another one tomorrow likely. Although there is possibility we could see, uh Scott Kazmir, somebody like that. Try to pitch some Sabak innings is that there are sometimes called, but, you know, it may be that the Giants were trying to stay away from Dominic Leone today to try to line him up to begin the game tomorrow. The Padres have right handed hitters at the top of the line up. It makes sense to have a A writer you trust early in the game if you're going with the bullpen game against San Diego, so anyway, there's always if you're big league manager. There's always a lot of stuff to think about and plan through and gave Kappler just continues to To mix and match and manages way through this season. Where I mean, I'm not saying he doesn't have some moves he'd like to have back but The moves he's making are working these days and it was another day where he had to make make a bunch of moves and helped the Giants win this game. But I thought the biggest move and like you mentioned not want to use Leone it What a luxury it is to have a Tony Watson on your team. We don't have Leo. We like to probably use them to open the game tomorrow. We'll so we'll throw in Rogers to get our big out in the seventh, but I know that I have a Tony Watson down there to pitch the eighth inning. To set up for Jake McGee and, um, you know, he just presents a a calm when he comes into the game because you just know that he's going to get quick out and he's going to get guys out. Did it on nine pitches today, 11 in his last outing against the Rockies in Colorado, and six up, six down, Never a doubt. Duffy had a pretty good swing of the bat lined out right to rough and left field, but Other than that it was. It was just dominance from from Tony Watson and that bridge the gap to Jake McGee. So it makes his decisions a lot easier when you have so many guys that are capable that you can go to What a week for the Giants. Pretty amazing. Pretty good. I'm I'm still sort of basking in the, uh and and really, and it started with the getaway date on national TV. One week ago today with the Dodgers in town, and and they just stayed on that role. They've been riding the wave and it's been fun to watch, and they also they kind of got Most of their team back today, with Slater and Flores returning from the injured list, and they still have a couple of guys who were on rehab assignments with Sacramento. Even now, so But it just makes such a big difference to have all of those bats in there, and he was able to parlay that into a an all right handed batting order against this lefty steel. Who have been good against everybody, but he had been way better against Left handed hitters, and the Giants didn't give him any lefties to face the whole day. Competition for a bats right now is fierce on this Giants team because when they get healthy, like they are getting healthy, I mean, they have so many options pretty cool to see. All right. We'll take our break and come back and pick some players of the game. Right after this. What happens when the fight for progress goes beyond 15.

"You're not seeing a finished product yet, which is scary because I think there's more in there for him. Uh, Not not so much velocity wise, but I think you're going to see him continue to develop and the slider is going to get more consistent, and, uh, the execution of the heater is going to get better. And if I mean we see how good it is now, and if it continues to get better, it's going to be pretty scary. Ryan. He brought up the closer and of course, Jake McGee has been that closer all year. And, you know, I talked to Jake McGee out of spring training. He said, Yeah, Bill, I'm trying to work a slider in trying to work a change up. But you know, and I both know when you get on that mound, you can't test pitches and he would straight fastball cross seam fastballs through seven of Monroe yesterday to Mookie Betts. I don't know how he's doing it, Ryan. I know he elevates that fastball. He's pinpoint control. Have you ever seen a picture and a closers? Aspect? Throwing 96 95. He's not at 100 that goes out there and just challenges these hitters in the ninth inning with the fastball. Well, you know that. That's the one thing about pitching until you're sitting in the box. Seeing it from that point of view, we don't We don't really know what that fastball looks like to the hitters. Um, I mean, we can take some pretty solid guesses and have a little bit more information. Now, with the with the edge a tronic and wrap Soto and all that we can see vertical plane and and spin and perceived velocity. You know, those are all numbers that I can sit there and tell the hitter Hey, it's it's 96, but looks like 99, right, and he's got Carrie and ride and all this stuff. And so you're in the box. You get it just doesn't Just doesn't translate to the brain. And I think that's where you see what Jake McGee, I think you see. You see ball that looks like one thing on TV. And when you're standing in the battery box, it looks totally different. So we could sit here and guess about how he's getting away with it and why he's able to do it right here. Here's been my theory for a long time. If it's working, it's not broken. Don't fix it, You know life. The old adage If you write in peace if he throws seven fast balls in a row to Mookie Betts, and it works, let's go seven to them again. It works again, You know, so Um Yeah, that's that's kind of my thing. I guess that if I was going to be talking to somebody and you know, outside the baseball world, and I'd say it's just It, says 96 on TV what you're seeing, but probably don't look like 96 very straight when you're heading when you're standing the batter's box. Well as we finish up with Ryan Vogelsong, a talking baseball, of course, the Giants are down two starters with Cueto with an armed problem. And, of course, Alex Wood with covid symptoms, and he's not feeling well moving forward here. Ryan got two spots in this rotation that will be openers. What do you see the Giants doing here? They have an off day Thursday. Maybe they can skip one of them and have an opener on Friday and then bring the rest of the three starters in a difficult time for the staff because there's going to be guys going out doing different roles. What do you forecast coming up forward? Well, well, That's a very good question, Bill. And here's my answer for you. There's guys getting paid a lot more money than me to make that decision. Yeah. What them doing? Yeah, I'm sitting in Swanny, Georgia right now. Um, no. I mean, you listen, those guys, I'm sure those guys have a plan of attack. And They're going to go with what they think works the best and hopefully it works. And if that doesn't work I've been playing catch a rider outside getting ready for the fall. And if they want to sign me up for, like, three starts, I comply. Give him like, three innings every night. Oh, hey, I'll be the first one. Endorse that, right? I'm all for you on that one. We are free can go. They can go that route to if they want. Yeah, that's awesome. Ryan more gasoline. Thanks So much for joining me on Labor Day. Appreciate all your insight and continued success with being the roving picture instructor because I know talking to these pictures they love when you come in and fire them up as you did. On the mound. So have a great day and the other thanks, Ryan. All right. Thanks, Bill. All right. That was Ryan Vogelsong, a talking baseball coming up next. "That Dodger bullpen and for the Giants game Capital was already about on his fifth picture of the game. By that point, bill, I have to imagine you are a little nervous, seeing how quickly Gabe Kapler was going through those relievers in the first three innings on Sunday night, you know, carry you tweeted out during the game. A lot of people are wondering if I will Leone, why they pull them and I was the same way because he just walked right through the first inning and And you had a very valuable point that you know. A lot of these pictures only are set up for one inning. You know, later in the game, Same thing with Watson and Rogers. I was like boy 10 pitches 12 pitches, maybe push them one more inning. But you have said this from Day one. This is the plan. The Giants dude, This is what their role players do. This is how they attack their offense. This is how they they do their pitching staff, and that's what he did. Yesterday. Gabe Kapler did that. Every inning Now. I was a little nervous after he took out Leone and Alvarez came in, and he just hasn't had that good touch. Feel on his pitches ever since he was at starter back in the day. Got the ball up. He's missing. But, boy Oh, boy, Zac little came in. He ended up getting a win and boy, he let him up. He really got him out of a fire right then. No, Zach Little was outstanding. And I thought that the Giants were going to keep rolling with Sac Little, but Gabe Catholic gets aggressive. He goes with the pinch hitter after Stephen Duggars double Darren Rough gets down in the count two strikes Bill, Who do you shorten up? We saw a different type of approach from Darren Rough, and it made a difference because in the end, it was the 64 ball game. The Giants chase runs. That's what they like to do and say, exactly Tell Gives you an extra inning. Their what would happen is you don't get that extra run. But you do get another ending out of little. And then maybe you're not using Camilo dove all in such a high leverage situation. I think that every fan in the stadium when they saw Camilla Jovel warming up on Sunday night, and Oracle Park, both Giants and Dodgers fans, bill they were nervous because the guy didn't know where the ball was going. But he settled in after going behind three. He did throw strike three, in my opinion to Will Smith, the home plate umpire. Randazzo just had an awful game on both sides, and then he comes back. He doesn't let it rattle his confidence. And he strikes out Chris Taylor to end the inning, then gives the Giants won. Plus gets the other ending, because, unlike Leone, the Giants think that dove all can be someone who bounces up and down and they don't necessarily need him to be ready on Monday, Of course, field But they do want Leon. They do want Watson. They do want Rogers available to them, and by just sticking to one inning. That's what the Giants now have at their disposal on Monday. They've got to have some relievers, and now they do on Monday here at course, Field Bill Boy carry You said that perfectly because that's what they want to do. They want to unite that bridge from that starter into the bullpen, and and you say it so well, Leone watching it at 6/7 inning and Rogers and McGee and now you add Duval in there, and you can use them in different spots. But you're absolutely right. We saw Duval. When he got sent down. He was wild. He couldn't get his slider over. He was throwing more sliders and fastballs and boy, you took that deep breath there. Once he struck out Chris Taylor that next inning, he looked like he was more relaxed so much at ease. And what ends up happening after he strikes out Taylor. They go 10 in a row 10 and erode Dodgers. They got out Duval, Watson and Rogers and then we get to the ninth inning with McGee carry. What did you think? And what did you see going into that ninth inning? You were at that game. Was it a nervous trade with you? Because I didn't think it was going to be that easy. It was just too easy with 10 in a row, and they were winning 6 to 2. I'll tell you what, Bill, I like to joke that I've got a whole Pulitzer Prize, Uh, file Cabinet full of stories that I've written for. Giants winds where they end up losing. I'm telling you, I had a giant's loss written there and then I start my story. I was 300 words in after Albert Pujols hit his home, run all about the heartbreak, you know. The failures of not being able to cap off the bullpen game. The Dodgers get into their top of their order against Jake McGee, and then I was just able to go with my original story, which, really Bill in my opinion has been the story of the season for the San Francisco Giants Back in spring training. It was a mismatch the Giants and Dodgers on paper Total mismatch. The Dodgers had the better line up. They had the better rotation. They have their more experienced bullpen, the more recent championship and the more realistic path. To the next title yet 87 50 San Francisco Giants hold a one game lead over this Dodgers club because they're 10 and nine against the Dodgers this season suddenly might have been the biggest mismatch of them all. Walker Beeler against the Giants bullpen, and the Giants just have not cared about what things were set. On paper. They go out and they've gotten it done this season, I say. You know, this season series between the Giants and the Dodgers. There's no reason left to doubt San Francisco in this club as to whether they can win the nationally West Bill. Well, Carrie Crowley 25 games left, and it starts today, once again in Colorado, Freeland against Gausman, and you and I are going to get this show ready and get it going, and I'm excited for it. I'm excited to work with you today and keep this Giants momentum working. Absolutely, Bill really looking forward to this show. Marty's off today, but he'll be back next weekend, and we promise we will keep things rolling for this four hours fans and, uh, I'm here in Colorado bills back at home in the Bay Area, and we've got a jam packed show with a great guest list. Really looking forward to this one bill. All right, we're going to take a quick break on talking baseball. Carrie and I are going to be right back throughout the pregame show and bring you a lot of electric and exciting. Stop moving forward. You have some great guests that we're going to take a quick break on KBR The sports leader and come right back at you talking baseball. With.

"Then Camillo Duval escaped further damage with those sacks still juiced against Chris Taylor. But you too. Swing and a miss struck him out and go ball able to get Taylor and the Dodgers leave them loaded. They get a run back. However, we go bottom five and that was a 62 game. At that point, let's fast forward to the ninth inning. Jake McGee came on in a non save situation. It was a four run advantage 29 saves on the season. But an error set it up for the pinch hitter. Albert Pool halls swing at the ball drilled out towards left center field that one back on its way. God and Bulls with a two run homer, and it's 64 0 of a sudden things are getting closed in a two run game. The Dodgers brought the time run to the plate with one out in the former Mookie Betts. McGee got a call on a called third strike. And then with two outs, Justin Turner stepped up. There's a one to slaying in a ball popped up, Val ground down the right side. You strength ski near the stands. And did you make the catchy did up against the netting? They had they would check it out and make sure it didn't hit the netting. It did not that catch secured it and the Giants win this one. 6 to 4 to take two of three in this series and take the season series. 10 wins to nine and they are now one game up on the Dodgers, the top spot in the N L. West, as well as Major League Baseball coming.

"Jake McGee will take over on the mound in Austin Barnes. He's going to pinch hit for Cody Bellinger. So Barnes here in the 9th 62 Giants lead it. Catcher at 2 27 6 homers 20 knocked in the pitch, and it's swinging a foul tip into the myth of Casali for the Giants. Tomorrow. We'll head off. Tonight, they'll head off to Colorado. They'll take on the Rockies tomorrow. The pitch. And that's in for a strike, and it's nothing into the Dodgers, meanwhile, will head to ST Louis. And play the Cardinals. Cardinals wildcard hopes still alive. Is your too Outside. If I made you pick it. Obviously, the first wild card is going to be the loser of the West. Who do you think the second wild card is going to be? Padres Cardinals Reds McGee is ready. And a pitch swing and a broken back ground ball to third. It hopped up on Bryant spins around the throw pulls belt off the base, and Barnes is safe at first that took a weird hop and It's spun Chris Brian around. It's going to be any five. I'm not sure what happened there. Boy, check up at the end. Yeah, did And then with that it made With the ball checking up that way, it made Chris stutter step. And then his throw was offline and belt came off the base. So Barnes is safe and now pool once will come up to him. Looking at the replay. It was almost like Kris Bryant in real time realized how he dodged a bullet because that thing checked up and almost hit him in the head. It almost him in the face. It's true. So binds it first. Here's Pujols the pitch to hide as Jake McGee. We'll try and close this one out. 62 giants were in the top of the ninth. The Giants win. This one will have won the season series 98. One of Swing at the ball drilled out towards left center field that one back on its way, God and pools with a two run homer, and it's 64 last night book. You were talking about the professional at bat that he turned in with that sacrifice fly to right field. Man. He's come through here and again, the experience. He doesn't have bad speed, quick twitch everything he had when he was younger. Nobody does. But man, his wisdom and ability to feel things out and come through with a big at bat was on display right there. He knew he got it, too. And he is really loved in that clubhouse pitch that is outside Ball one. Those strikes Getting interesting down. Nobody on nobody added to to run game and the pitch that's downstairs and out, too. And, oh, so Jake McGee having some issues here. He's got 29 saves to 70 e R A. But McGee like their entire pitching staff. He's not a big strikeout guy kind of anti What Most bullpens are here's a swing and a pop up right side Estrada onto the edge of the outfield grass, and he makes the catch singing back to us for a second. One of the stories that I love. Their ring ceremony. Every Dodger was asked to give a favorite player And when they came out to receive their ring, there would be a message on the video board from their favorite player from Ichiro Suzuki or David Ortiz. Well for Will Smith, his favorite player. And the guy who got the message from was Albert Pujols. And now he's his teammate. They can't beat l. A here at Oracle Pike. The lead is down to 21 out Outfield backed up. Here's Max Muncy pitch. That's a strike. Thanks followed 93. On the left Jake McGee, 35 years old. Oh, and the South Paul fires just off the outside edge, and now it's one and one. I got to answer the question. You asked me about who gets the the other wild card, the Padres Reds. I think maybe it through the Cardinals Phillies in there, I'm going to say that the Padres 11 roll through the left side. Whole base hit and it's going to bring the tying run to the plate. Mm. So Muncie just rolled one through that left side. Do you like the Dodgers and not just the Dodgers, But the Giants as well. They do not go into the night quietly late in the ballgame, and you know each manager very well aware of the team on the other side. Lot of respect. They know it's not over until they get that final out the ninth. Can't cruise the finish line the exit below on that roller 77.8 just rolling and rolling. Living just finding a way through that hole on the left side. And now the crowd buzzing again. Dodger fans as well pitch the bets and Mookie takes down low. Singing to me. These are the spots for facing the Dodgers. It's so hard. It's like you don't get a breath. You don't get a break. McGee's dealing with bets. Turner's in the on deck circle. Segers in back of him. Smith is in back of him. I mean, every one of them easily with one swing ties this game off one. Oh, Inside. It. Backs backs away. And when you think about where the order was when McGee came in, it wasn't supposed to be this way. You had eight Nine pinch hitter pinch hitter then turn it over. You should have turned it over with at least fill one out. Maybe two outs to the top of the order agree. The two old on the outside corner for his strike. Just did paint the outside edge. Mookie Betts, and this one has flied out. He's walked, He singled and scored and he has grounded out. For Mookie, one out of three coming back slowly from his stint on the I O with the bad hit to one lifted in the year foul right side twist off out of play, And now it's two to Cokie had a pretty special moment this past week at Dodger Stadium, his mom throughout the Ceremonial first toss. And then he hit a home run in the game, and he blew it kissed tour. It was great Jake McGee, who leans on that four seam fastball. What will he go with here to two months. The first one out here comes swinging a little roller foul third base side. Who is this person? Bets climbs back.

"Reporter and producer brand. Be dot com and sarah was thinking about you and your mom last night watching that giants and mets game playing out the mets getting their guts ripped out and the seventh inning taiwan walker throwing a water bottle. He obviously unhappy the mets. Are you know this is a critical time for them. The giants continuing to play well. What was the date. What's the dynamic when a game like that is going on between you being a mets fan in your mom being a big giants fan. Well i have to say we were at the game last night so That dynamic was playing out in our section. My mother is she is such an incredible fan. She was so stressed. Out in that ninth inning. All i wanted was for the giants to win. Because i did not want her to be upset. I mean you know. This was their first game. My parents first game since september. Twenty nineteen we went to a marlins mets game back then but we hadn't gotten to a game at any point yet. This year is the first time. I was able to get some great tickets. We went and all. I want for my mom to see her team. Which is the best team in baseball winning game. That is all. I wanted as we walked into city field and she was so stressed out. When jake mcgee walked brandon nimmo. I have never seen her slap her thighs so hard. She was so stressed out and after the game she kept apologizing for how emotional she wasn't. I said no. This is amazing. This is what baseball is about bringing out those emotions so everything you are imagining was happening in the stands at city bill boss night Boy boy what fun. Yeah what on that must have been. What is your mom's passion all right. Let's play the numbers game number. Three so number. Three is five thirty so speaking of the giants brandon crawford. You know we saw in person Last night and we talked about him. You and i think a couple weeks ago. And i wanted to check in on a stat that i mentioned then and smother stuck with his season so he continues to have. This incredible season. Didn't merit taking out. I'll walk there. I'm not so sure but regardless brandon proper is going to get mvp votes. He is having a season like any season he's ever had in his career so to that point he's slugging five thirty. He entered the twenty twenty one season with a three ninety two career. Slugging percentage that is very very different than the season. He is having this year and only three players in ale. An nl history have slugged. Five hundred or better. In season at age thirty four older after entering the year with a career slugging percentage under four hundred so he is on pace to do that. He's been up there pretty much all year. And if you take a look at what he's doing. I mean it sounds so simple right. But he's hitting the ball really hard much harder than he's ever done under sokha's tracking and he is a career low ground ball percentage so it just seems like the giants have really unlock. this idea. You know swing a little bit up more and hit the ball harder and it's going to end up a whole a lot better for him so number two number two. I don't even know which number two pick for this game last night. This padres dodgers game which came home and watch that but there were five scoreless innings in that game. So you asked me about this this morning. Five innings neither team scored in the extra innings without runner on second. Obviously we had not seen a game even close to this long under those rules. The prior longest game was thirteen innings. There'd been two games. The went thirteen this year. Two games a went thirteen last year. This team went sixteen innings for anybody who was asleep. Like you probably should have been during this game so before last night. The most scoreless completing so the top and the bottom of the inning in extras. That had happened under these roles was three and that was a game on august. Seventh twenty twenty between the astros. And the as i remember watching this game. It was early under the new roles. Now remember thinking. How is nobody scoring here. So in the tenth eleventh and twelfth ending of that game neither team scored and then the thirteenth they both scored in the as walked it off. That was the only time that there had been even more than two complete scoreless innings at any point under these roles and of course we got five last night so just completely in not what we're used to under these roles. We hadn't seen the sixteen th inning since september. Twenty four twenty nineteen. There were actually two games. That went that long on that day but obviously that was before there was a run around second number one so number one is five twenty one and that's what. Aj pollock has slugging this year. I don't even know again if that's the best number to call out here. But you mentioned to me having a really underrated season. And he is so. I just wanted to talk about everything that he's Doing this year so he's slugged five sixty six last year and i think we started to see the beginnings of the player. He's looks a like this year but he's never score a never slugged even above five hundred any season of his career even when he got. Mvp votes back in thousand fifteen. That was four ninety eight slugging. He at three fifteen this year. But i would say that this season. He's having his most similar to that he he was fourteenth. Mvp it wasn't like he was getting serious consideration. He won't necessarily this year either but everything that he's doing on that doger's team that has at times really struggle. I think that he's been sort of a bit of a constant there. And i always look at stuff. Like how hard are you hitting. The ball is four percent hard hit rate so almost half the time This season he is making at least ninety five mile in our exit lost contact. He's never been even close to that in his career. So kind of similar to crawford. He just seems to have unlock completely different. And by the way also at age thirty four so really cool to see that especially from guy like pollock who had so many injuries and things that sort of hampered his season's over the last handful of years. It's it's really great to see him thriving for that team. That has needed some offense. with cody. bellinger not plan grand. Mookie betts than her and also not that great this year. So it's good to see that coming from maybe a little bit more unexpected source so i watched The first couple of innings of the dodgers and padres last night. But then i did go to bed. And i wound up waking up at four forty five Which is not long after the completion. That game you were up and watching that whole game after getting back in city field. Yup yup had some late second dinner after the nachos in the stands has had some Additional food when we got back and watching that game. It was pretty crazy. I mean i remember looking up. The out of town scoreboard and being kind of bummed. There was only one ten o'clock game last night. So i wasn't going to get to watch a lot of baseball other than the baseball that i saw in front of me which is of course the best way to take it in and then that game ended up giving all of us plenty of baseball even with the one ten piece start. It's awesome right sarah. Talk to you next week. Hoster bleacher tweets already buster bleacher tweets for thursday. We've got louis adia weiss at addio underscore lewis zero zero lewis rates and beyond the fourteen strikeout game wednesday is robbie ray legit contender.

"Here's the pitch. Cheyenne's baseball and the Giants. Take the lead. Resilient. SF Brandon Crawford does it again right here. Hey, This is your third base coach Ron Wotus, sporting the road graze on KNBR. One Marine ER, the Giants make changes. I'm still stunned would be the wrong word. But that was quite a moment in the top of the eighth inning, Mike Hawkman in just a big time slump in a huge spot with a grand slam to put the Giants ahead from 4 to 2 Rangers to 6 to 4 giants. Now the bottom of the eighth inning, Mauricio Dupont takes over at second base and Jake McGee out of the bullpen for the Giants. He was getting loose very optimistically in case the Giants could Tie the game or take the lead, and they did. So McGee for his 27th outing of the year. Home run ball has cost him But for the most part, Jake McGee has been really good. 12 saves 14 chances. First pitch, and it's a bunt attempt to drag bun on the first base side belts going to take it to the bag himself, and he gets there just ahead of Jason Martin. We tried to bunt his way aboard, hitting in the Joey Gallo spot, of course, after Gallo had to leave the game with some groin tightness that was pretty good play by belt. Because it was bunted. It was it was bunted hard, but it was bunted far enough away from first belt had to play on a bounce and then had to go. Martin's got speed. And he got there. So do bond at second. McGee, pitching one out for Nick. So lack against McGee. Salak had a huge hit in the sixth inning. A two run double. Now he takes a fastball just off the inside. Selects another one of these guys, We see a lot of them these days, who just Totally crowd the plate. That pitch could have been called the strike and so like was diving out of there like it was going to drill him. No. Now he swings and gets jammed rounds. 12 short, Crawford has it and he throws him out to down so two down for the Rangers here in the last of the eighth inning. That's basically eight low. Their first baseman will come up low. One for three. Giants six, Rangers four on a knife, it just felt like it was going to end. In frustration for the James and again this This game is a long way from being over, but so many things had gone against the Giants. Little breaks and bounces and a runner thrown out at home plate and Leadoff walk to the ninth place hitter that turned into a rally for the Rangers..

"It. And Wade comes in because the Giants are in a pinch at first base, And when I'm going through this morning, waking up Going through and say, OK, I don't have a week. How do we improve this team? I am now of the mindset that the Giants Are in it. Yeah, This is not just a one game situation. But last night's game, the heart that they showed the turning point that that game could well be, and we will find out And that is more of a macro statement than a micro one. Whatever happens today doesn't mean that yesterday wasn't a turning point. If the Giants are actually in this bad boy. If they are as good as I think that they can be, which means that they are going to stay in the division race for a couple more months months and ultimately probably end up as a wild card team playing the Padres if I had to guess In the wild card game. If they're that good, then they need to get out ahead of some stuff. They need to go out and add something because this bullpen is we saw last night and we have seen many nights this season. Is going to give me an ulcer is just physically painful to watch. And I know you gotta you gotta a weird affinity for that Giants fans. Somewhere deep down in places you don't talk about at parties. You like it. You love it. It makes you feel alive. But I got other stuff that I want to do. And this team is holding me hostage on a nightly basis. This bullpen it'd be one thing if they all just stunk, But I have no idea who's good on a night in night out basis with this bullpen any night total crapshoot. Last night, it was going really well. Barrenger comes in Good inning. Good if good four outs. Hotel comes in. Well, he's got something on. He's got a 071 e r a This little fella. Jake McGee comes in Holy crap. He's getting the ball over the plate. The one pitch that he throws is working against the Dodgers in Tyler Rogers, who had been the best the only good reliever It seemed for the last week or so comes in. And you can say he was done dirty by do Bonds Air and it was a bad air is bad air, especially to when you consider the fact that he was brought in as a defense of replacement at second, and he has been picking it pretty much anywhere you put him. Was bad air. No bottle. Then he gives up just a gargantuan shot and should have given up a walk off home run the next batter. If not for my talk man who's very long outfielder's glove. But then Garcia comes in. Yeah. You didn't get any strikeouts, but he seemed in control of the city. I have no idea what the hell's going on with this bullpen. They are exhausting. They're wild cards, every single one of them. It's no way to live. It's no way to live. They need to get bullpen reinforcements, huh? And I think that they need to come from the outside. My issue is I'm looking around Major League baseball we're talking about. Okay. The Giants are really good Giants have a great run differential. The giant would be in first place in all these divisions. Looking at the bottom of these divisions saying, Okay, who who stinks? I'm not seeing a lot of teams that are gonna be trading. Especially two of the Giants need to get out ahead of some stuff right? Because the Giants are gonna go and make a big splash, But they can go out and get some dudes, some guys that we could spend a little bit of time with, maybe even put him in Triple A for a minute. Women double A for a minute work with him a little bit. Get him to play giant style baseball, which is a thing, especially for pictures. Get some work within him. Brian banister hanging out. And then hey, now we now we actualize what we've taught. In July, August September, but get out ahead of it before the trade deadline because I don't think this bullpen is going to suddenly just round into form. So it has the worst war in baseball for a bullpen. Guys really first are the worst in baseball, according to Fangraphs. Now there's a couple of other metrics that that matter. None of them are good. Some of them just aren't his terrible is last place and you're looking with a 3385 E R. A With the bullpen. You go do that. That's a pretty good theory for the bullpen, and you are correct. That is a good area for the bullpen. But you go a couple of categories over here. There's something called fifth It's fielding independent pitching. That's also ballpark independent to a degree. And suddenly that number gets a lot fatter if you were to just gauge The Giants bullpen on what they do in the three true outcomes. Not good. Not good. And as we've seen in this serious and damn near every other series, baseball is pretty much just the three true outcomes. Home runs, walks, strikeouts. That's it. The Giants were to play at a normal field with a normal defense. Their bullpen. Was there it have any target E R. A closer to five. Again. There's a reason they have the worst war in baseball for a bullpen in it. You might go. What the hell's bullpen war? Well, it's what you're watching on a nightly basis and the reason that I'm getting ulcers. That's what it is. It's the immediate I don't know how they factor in the stress that I broke. Bullpen brings people's lives, but they're doing a very good job of that on Fangraphs with these statistics. Again, though I don't even know where to look. I don't even know where to look to find bullpen arms. Detroit you go Detroit's 20 and 31. They were always going to stink. Problem with some teams like Detroit, Baltimore. Detroit Baltimore, Huh Reason that those teams stink is because they're super young ever. There's no trade bait on those teams. Everybody is pre arbitration on those rosters. They're not giving up on those guys, even if they're a little bit older. Because they have team control for another 56 years. So why would you trade him? Unless you're gonna get a whole back, and the giant should not be giving up a big haul that should not be giving up even a top 15 prospect. Add a bullpen arm for the rest of the year. They shouldn't be adding in dude is gonna have to be on the roster for 567 years because they're well. They're under team control in this in that because you've got a bunch of guys in minor leagues, the Giants are not going to hurt in the bullpen. For years and years and years. This is a short term fix. They need some plugs. One thing that I do kinda. I do kind of look at and say it might be something here is the Texas Rangers, who really stink and they're an older team right there. No, not really doing the rebuild. I have no idea actually what it is the Texas Rangers are doing and we never talked about the Texas Rangers. Mainly for that reason, no one really knows what they're doing, and they're not really offending or hurting anybody. They're just out there to accumulate wins and host world serious games at ballparks that, you know, don't have social distancing that pandemic. It's what they're around for. The giant Costco in Arlington. Theme amount of conversations I've had in the last week about the two new ballparks in baseball, the one in the super suburbs of Atlanta and one in Arlington. That looks like a Costco as it pertained to the A's ballpark situation is just hilarious. The A's pretending like those ballparks are anything to desire is just completely laughable. Nevertheless, I got two guys that I think. The giant should probably be.

For the Pirates and the Pirates win it 86 last night and build it a great show last night after the game, and the callers and everyone understood that this is a giant bullpen that is in trouble right now. And they really have to really figure out how they're gonna play the rest of these games on the road, another one today and, of course for in Cincinnati and the Dodgers coming in next weekend. Johnny Cueto, the starter last night was okay ran out of gas made a couple of nice defensive plays. But for Johnny Cueto looks like he's still out of shape and not ready to compete on the level he was earlier. The tell. Did a great job on then Sam Selman, and of all, let it get away and McGee gave up. The home run of McGee throws 10 pitches now six or seven or the ones he likes. The other four are meatballs right down the middle fastballs. Installing made him pay for that great defense last night for the Giants will talk a lot about that with the Professor. We've got a good show for you, Alex would today for the Giants really? Maybe their best picture caused Gausman and what it's stuff that to choose. But Alex Wood for no with a 1 50 earned run average right now a whip of Oh, 83. Goes against the pitcher Mitch Keller, a young man just make use 24th Major league starter righty but he's got a nerve run average over seven, a whip of 1.8, and he's gotten lit up a couple of times in his seven starts. This year for the pirates. So it's Alex Wood and Keller. We've got a great show for you. We're gonna take a quick break, Frank Garland. He's going to join us. On this Sunday morning, he's an author. He wrote a wonderful book about the baseball life of Joseph Floyd Arky Vaughan. And if you look at great Pittsburgh Pirates short stops. Honus Wagner and Arky Vaughan. It's an interesting story. Frank did a great job and I think on Sunday morning, we'll start with Frank and then Bill and I'll chat for a while that will bring the professor on. And we've got a lot of good things for you this morning. So sit back. Relax. Have your coffee and I'm glad you're up and listening 86 last night Pirates. What a game! My goodness. All right, break here can be our 6 81 045, and then we'll come back with author Frank Garland. Right after this talking baseball with Marty Laurie, Bill Lasky and carry Crowley and er 1045 and 6 80 80 sports sleep. If Jeff here it's life was a movie script..

"To try to pepper it down to what you're looking for. Smart teams called. That's what they do. They check in smart general managers looking to see how they can improve their team. Russell Wilson would improve nearly every team in the NFL. All right, last one before we get out here, our last piece of sound. This came from a Mark Willard show on Wednesday night. He had stamps Selman Giants left handed reliever who actually think is a pretty nice players. 29 years old, but a lot of time in the minor leagues of the eight seasons in the minor leagues get out of Vanderbilt, Previously on the Royals, I think he was drafted by it's been around the league for a little bit, at least as a journeyman, minor leaguer. The question for you gun to your Head Carrie right now, who's the closer for the San Francisco Giants? In 2021? There's no way I can answer that. Jake McGee, Jake McGee, can I say that? I mean, he's the he's the guy with the most experience, but yeah, it's wide open. We'll pump the brakes there were talking Jake McGee, for we got a left and right way. Gotta left you right here on the Mark Willard show on KNBR from Wednesday and he says he might like an opportunity to close here, Sam Selman. Yeah. I mean, I love to do it. I had a had a little bit experience. My first one against Seattle last year. That was That was a lot of fun and a good time. And I definitely love to be in the role again. And we're definitely gonna have Ah, lot of guys competing for that role. Everyone can fill it in. And I honestly maybe a closer by committee for a little while rolling the hot hand and see how it goes from there, But, um, Yeah, well, we'll see what ends up happening in spring training and I'll get it all sorted out. Okay. Two things he wrote on two ideas there that I'm not Super Fund of a It seems something Closing be. It's It's closer by committee man. I don't know any team in baseball history. No harsh on himself. I got no qualms with Selman himself, but I'm like looking at, you know what's he got, like eight games finished in his big league career. I think he's got eight saves.

"It was not looming. After this season is over. I think both of these issues would be resolved. Obviously. But they're huge chips into the negotiation that have not been resolved. Universal G H will adapt to that. I'm sure fire hunted. Scott wanted here that does they build the roster, But you can. You could make alterations up until opening day in late March. The other one Really impacts your Ability to to contend this year. I'm not saying they can't contend. But it's gonna be a hell of a lot easier if you go to last year's format, as opposed to 2019 No doubt it plus if if I'm the Giants, this makes a huge difference to me in terms of How I look at the season. Now, if if I get expanded playoffs, then I think I have a shot. Let's be real here unless the Padres and the Dodgers have major injuries. You look into the playoffs this year. I wouldn't say that list now. You're not gonna go to camp thinking that, but that would be here. But that would be your thought about 40 games in. Yeah, that would be your talking. Obviously approach the trade deadline and everything else you do, and as far as adding players, we're not going to think that Going in because it's sports. You never know what you're gonna have. But over 1 62 was supposed to 60. The better team should Emerge victorious, you would think doesn't always work that way. Um, but I think that's something if I'm Farhaan and Scott in Larry Bear, I mean that stuff When I wake up in the morning every day. It's the first question I would ask in the negotiations. What's going on with expanded playoffs? Yeah. And Plus, look, I know it's a negotiating point. That's what it is. But it makes sense for fans. It makes sense for finances. They they've got to find it. I gotta believe. Just like last year. The Universal D H and expanded playoffs are gonna happen. They just have they haven't found the middle ground for it. There hasn't been the magic thing, And as you often say, negotiations get done when they have to get done. I don't know that they have to get done right now. But when they do get done, it just makes too much sense to me. They have a universal D h and have expanded playoffs. You want more teams and universal th I would agree with for approach. But if you're going to give that up in the next C b a. Then I'm gonna give it up to you again now and then I have set the precedent for that. I'm not giving that up yet. So that's just a chip. That they're going to go to for after the years over, the other one is supply and demand the big restaurant suiting versus the small restaurant seating. It's not that easy. If you go to expanded playoffs, would you agree that you're devaluing your regular season? Now you're are a sense aren't happy your ratings drop locally. It is a locally driven sport, both on radio and on television. You would have obviously a bigger payday in in October. But that's a fine line. You're taking away the bulk of your inventory to cash in, and that is just that is just a accountants, you know, breaking it down and seeing if it's worth devaluing the regular season to do that. Yeah. And look, I agree with everything that you're saying there it's just from a selfish sampling and a giant standpoint. There's to me. No tougher division is at least as far as the top two teams are concerned, and two if you're a Giants fan, it's one thing if you're going into the season with expanded playoff hopes And as an organization, and it's another thing. If you're not, it's like you said. It is sports and anything could happen. And maybe the Dodgers and Padres have major injuries. Maybe they're guys don't play up to where they're supposed to play. Who knows? And maybe the Giants are just great. Offensively, The Giants were great and came in and nowhere with that last year. Jake McGee. Maybe the pens really, really good, But you'd have to have everything literally go your way and everything go against the Padres and the Dodgers. It would be a huge difference, both as an organization and as fans. If they don't expand the playoffs. Obviously, that's the point we're making And as far as you know, an owner There's there's two different ways. You convey the competitive owner if you're Larry and giant organization. I hear what you're saying. But then there's a good citizen, a member of the overall ownership community, and this is something that frankly, Al Davis grappled with. First inside her life. He was Leader and a lot of ways with the Gene Upshaw on the players union. He took the lead on that, but he had a hard time with I wanna beat all your ass is I don't want to deal with that. So if you are a team like you're talking about, Yes, they expanded playoffs makes sense. It gives my team a chance Larry could stand up and, you know, talk about the contract he has with US and NBC Sports Bay Area. It devalues all of this If we go to the expanded playoffs, but at the same time, you know, you know, it's Farhaan and Scott are in his ear and gave that we got a better chance to make the playoffs. So it's not that easy. I mean, you have to look at the numbers and say how much more we could generate from a network TV deal. Do all the teams share that equally. How does that work? It's a trade off. You're you're devaluing the bulk of your season Two. Obviously more eyeballs are on baseball in October. You're not gonna have made you know the En bas not gonna be in competition there. You gonna be up against the NFL in October where our ratings gonna be next year. It's all just a trade off, So I think that's fascinating that that is unresolved. And, well, you know that. That's the first thing. When I look at these negotiations do they think they have the safety protocols? You know, they went through it last year. They know where we are. We're more Intelligent and how to deal with this, but I think the key thing is gonna be the expanded playoffs and how they work that out. Think bringing out your thoughts for 15856 to 7. The text line is helping in 4158 Wait, Cane. We are We'll set up the guest list. Our first one comes up in 10 30. We'll tell you about that fan fest will keep you up to date. Steph was at it again.
