"If you must, you can't prevent you from purchasing a ticket, but we can prevent you from buying a T-shirt. While we're here, that we will not stand for, you can buy a T-shirt somewhere else. Yeah. Bring it into the ball. But I'll be damned. If you're going to be selling shirts in the ballpark, it just sort of surprised me, I guess, because generally when there's money to be made, like someone will make it. Yes. Obviously, there is money to be made here. And it's not just Dodgers fans on giant's turf. I mean, you know, you're telling me you can't get a Yankees cap at the trap or something, you know? Like, sure. There's got to be a market for that. I guess in the interest of general baseball, you would want people to be able to buy stuff that would represent their team wherever they are, wherever they go to a ballpark. Yeah. We will find a way to spend some money a and also just display our affiliation and deepen our attachment to baseball, but I guess I get it that also you want to feel like you're protecting your turf. If the team is sanctioning the vendor and clearly it is that the team can decide who gets to sell stuff in their ballpark and what they get to sell, then I certainly understand why they would say, hey, don't sell stuff this. Our rivals, so that everyone will be walking around in our rivals gear and showing up on TV and our rivals gear. Showing us up. Yeah, I share your surprise that it is a place that has proven itself to be somewhat immune from the capitalist impulse. But I think that that's kind of, that's kind of nice, you know, that you get to, you know, it adds to your sense of place that that is not a place where you see your rivals stuff being sold, right? But it is, this is our place. This is home and we get to say what it is. Here are the players, the featured players on the Mariners, team store website, ichiro, fine, Felix, fine. Kyle Seeger kind of weird Adam Fraser excuse you a oh jeez Suarez, great season, but what? Luis Castillo cool, Carlos Santana? Really? And then you have the players section, which is somehow different than future players, don't know. Ken griffey junior Mitch hanker Robbie ray ty France, Logan Gilbert, all of those are fine. Dylan Moore, I mean sure, Carlos Santana, again, Kurt cassell, Jake lamb, who was just DFA. And Marco Gonzalez. Do you know who is notably absent from both of those lists? Didn't hear you say Julio. I'm going to say Julio. It's kind of weird that there's no Julio in that list. Don't you think? It's also weird that there's no JP Crawford in that list, right? Anyway, I just, I think that you wanted to talk about the feeling of home, and I was willing to indulge you, but mostly this has become an opportunity for me to say, if an addict to a better job, like all of this stuff looks like you're at a corporate golf retreat and it bumps me out. So those are today's ethical philosophical dilemmas about baseball. In other news, well, first a quick Joey manassas update. Still good. Yeah. Out hitting one Soto and one Soto and Josh bell combined really did not think that would continue really thought that we would have to just like mention that while it was true and hope that it didn't change immediately. Wrote about him, my piece was published on September 2nd, and I was like, well, this has been fantastic, but how long can this keep up? I've got to get this article out before he slumps or something gets hot and the fun fact is not true anymore that Vanessa has outplayed both of the players who were traded and whom he was replacing when he was called up. I mean, it's still true. And people are treating him with some respect, some fear. Yeah. So as people were tagging us on Twitter to note that the braves were intentionally walking manassas, they free past them a couple of times in the past couple of games to load the bases in front of Luke voigt and then when they finally decided not to do that with a runner on first, he homered. Yep. So they should have intentionally walked him. That time too, I guess. Just based on the results and he is still handily out hitting one Soto as a padre. So that's pretty great. I did not think that would actually last throughout the season. I was like, the fact that this is lasted even since the trade for the first month after the trade is amazing and miraculous. It can't continue, but it actually has to the point where they might actually finish the season with that continuing to be true. So love it. It's a really, it's just a very fun and silly remarkable thing, and it lets me tweet exclamation points at you. So I'm all for it. I think I hope he continues forever. I guess I hope it continues forever, but only if. I hope that the NASA of it continues forever to be clear. Yeah, no, I want one soda to be like, you know, Juan Soto, as we know him, and as we have come to expect him to be, and also it would be so cool if we look back and we're like, you know, wald Soto as advertised in the long term, but get a load of this Joey meniscus all he needed was an opportunity and he is want Soto two. That would be delightful. Yeah. Luke Voight has also handily out hit Josh bell, which is also sort of funny. Poor Padres. Poor Padres. They're in better shape than the nationals overall. This is what the nationals have for you. Just gotta let them have this for now because there's not a whole lot else to be happy about on that team right now. Yeah, but you don't know this, Ben, but I am three for three in not doing screaming sneezes into the microphone so far as we're recording. It's really great. Thank you. Yeah, you're welcome. And appreciate it. I'm sure. Yeah. So I want to talk a little bit briefly about the AL central. We should probably do an AL central leadership update. Yeah. Just because we've had a couple change of regimes. So the tigers have a new head of baseball operations, Scott Harris. Who was poached from the Giants and also formerly of the cubs. And then the royals also have a new leader, although it was someone who was already there because what happened is state and more is out the door. So this is on the one hand not surprising on the other hand it's very surprising because it seems like that might very well be a lifetime appointment. So this is notable news we lost John Daniels last his job this year, one of the longest tenured readers of a baseball operations group and then you had Dayton Moore in that group as well and he's gone now. So it turns out that just being bad at baseball for quite a while can actually get date more fired. Yeah, it's an odd, it's an odd thing because on the one hand you feel like I kind of thought he'd outlast us all, right? Yeah. We have talked a lot about how it hasn't felt like they have a great sense of where they really are in their competitive window, but we have appreciated their can do attitude and you know there have been some weird aspects of date.

With a turbulent summer travel season in high gear, a warning from the better business bureau about scams disguised as deep discounts or fake cancellation notifications on flights. Scammers always do their best work when people want something really bad and they don't want to pay too much for it. Carolyn is a teacher who went online to search for cheaper airfare and when several sites popped up, she said she clicked on one that seemed to have a flight that was exactly what she was looking for. My book did a little while later. I got a phone call saying this flight has been canceled. Instead, the provider offered up an alternative, but when Carolyn talked to the representative, she says there were immediately red flags. She grew suspicious and asked for a refund, but that never happened. They also tacked on a $200 fee for themselves. That I did not know about. And while Carolyn was able to get back some of her money by calling her credit card company, the better business bureau tells ABC News they've received 73 reports of this kind of scam about 40% of which happened since the middle of June. Experts say thieves are using two strategies. In some cases like Carolyn scammers are setting up bogus but convincing websites that lure you in with the promise of a good deal, then shortly after you book, you get a text or email saying your flight is changed or been canceled or the fair has gone up, they ask for your credit card to rebook. They're trying to get more money out of it. Unfortunately, you just bought that from a scam website or scam service agents and there is no blight. There is no ticket and unfortunately they took not only your payment, but they have your information. And beware scammers are also taking advantage even if your flight is real. I'll send you a noticing your blight was canceled and contact them, and you contact them. And again, there's going to be a charge for something. And we booking charge, they'll get you on another flight, a cancellation charge. So you go through all that, and then what happened was the original plate was never canceled. So we do know that Carolyn did at least one thing right here, experts suggest booking any flight with a credit card as your safest bet, not a debit card, not a payment service with a credit card, you may have more chances of getting a refund if something goes wrong. I do not want to see real and this rotation at all go well as dropping out all around i wanna i wanna bring something out here on the offense that we didn't really talk about guys and there's been some you know we're supposedly gonna get santiago aspirin. I care in the next week. It sounds like he's been lingering around the locker room. You might be ready for a rehab assignment via league seasons obviously coming to a close in here in the next couple of weeks but and the buff is gonna make the playoffs. They're leading the vision for the first time in a long time which is very insane. With how many people we've been pilfering from that lineup. So who's playing third base for you down the line here because we saw the cabinet kevin smith experiment kind of off and leg. He's back the crushing in buffalo. They pick up jake lamb. Who has found a way to do okay off in the eighth spot. Basically for the blue jays eight nine spot and he plays some solid defense. And then i still don't see braddock. Galera is a third baseman but he has been very salvageable over there. It's similar to what we were thinking to get from cabinet plan from third base for all season for us as my opinion and then there's the other wildcard if kevin visual is hot and buffalo comes up. Are you giving him a spot in the lineup. Playing third base for a few days. Not from what we saw earlier this year. Rough to me. But to me guys jake lamb. It'd be running with and he's shown enough with a bag especially in that baltimore series that he's able to get on base and maybe he's found a little bit of that forum that he was a thirty home run threat back in the day for the arizona. Diamondbacks only think he's only thirty. They're still could be something in the tank. There could be a reclamation project done over again. But i don't know that that's the only spot in this whole line up right now that i feel i feel like we have enough defensive options. But what do you do to squeeze that last little bit offense attorney lineup over every night. Yeah that are so. When are we assuming that visual is eligible to.

How he tested positive i to be honest. I didn't know. Rizzo did not get the vaccine until after the yankees for him. I just missed that story back in. May i think. Espn wrote the article back in may when rizzo made his decision. I said this on our last podcast when we talked about rizzo. I'm not going to get on someone for making a personal decision. You know i. i'm vaccinated. And i chose to get vaccinated and you know my my wife is vaccinated and all that sort of thing of rizzo decides for him and a cancer survivor feed decides for him. He doesn't want to get vaccinated. That's his personal choice. I'm not gonna. I'm not going to be one of these assholes on twitter who decides to get all you know. Turn this into something that we don't want to talk about which is get political and like start attacking the guy like it sucks that he got kovic hopefully he gets better soon for the chicago white sox they entered the game sixty seven and forty eight as they lost two out of three against the minnesota twins in their last ten games they are six and four and despite losing two out of three against the twins they lose no ground against cleveland for first place in the american league sensual. They still have a ten and a half game lead in the central jim. What's the state of the chicago. White sox coming into the field of dreams game. Well i was hoping that they would use this. Stretch of six games against the cubs. The twins is a kind of real runway towards getting their offense back with l. o. Jimenez back in lewis roberts in the lineup now and having that kind of disappointing series against kansas city. In in cleveland before that this would be the stretch of you having a lineup. That scores six plus runs before they get into stretch where they play the yankees then the as and raising bluejays. Just it's a stretch of tough games and then quite use the twins series. Like i thought they would and you know to their credit. They i i guess in defensive them they kinda use it in different way like tony. Larussa used Wednesday as a true getaway. Day with anderson and moncada sitting And robert sitting. Because he's going to be in and out of the lineup as he gets back from his hip injury but yeah it just going into a tough stretch of the schedule without still looking like they're fully operational and maybe that's the way it is but when you have a nine and a half game lead very least who knows like the cleveland can't gain like they're physically prevented from gaining ground in the white sox this month they have not the white sox have lost. Three games did not gain a gain in any of those days where the white sox presented opportunity. It's just the white sox luck right now so perhaps there may be a bit lucky in terms of not feeling pressure but while they are have while they do have sports and it seems like it makes sense to gresham is try not to push it and then you should Cleveland start biting into their cushion. Little bit then. Maybe there'll be some urgency yet. Do you think they're in cruise. Control the the white sox. I i don't think so. Just because they're enough guys getting healthy and trying to get back in the lineup and trying to establish their seasons that i don't think they've been around enough as a team. Also guys like brian. Goodwin and jake lamb. Who are just trying to be regular as an china to say they have to make themselves Necessary near there on the cusp of always being booed off a team and having to to hang on somewhere else so they they have a nice mix of you. Know proven veterans who are going nowhere players were injuries and want to get themselves into rhythm and then they've had like this just rotation of heroes coming onto the pension delivering a hot week at a time. And then you afterwards trying to hang in there so. I don't think it's like a team wide complacency setting and i think just mix of things where they're not quite you know whether it's some guys getting ground down some guys not quite up to speed Just it's mixed. That's not quite working firm right now. Jim with being another national broadcasts for the chicago white sox. Are you ready again. Sometime between the third and sixth thinning of the fox broadcast rehashing. detailer russa and your mercedes spat from me. Yeah it's I guess the one thing larussa won't be there he'll be at a Funeral service for his sister's husband So perhaps that's one thing that all him not being there there. Nobody for the fox cameras to focus on in between pitches while they're talking about and perhaps settle diminish it but yeah i am at the very least looking forward to like an over simplification of larussa season with the white sox and him saying like oh all the mistakes he thought he remained. Were really just stroke of genius that we're now realizing versus. Here's a guy who's away from this game for nine years and is getting a new team is having some stumbles figuring out his own strategy outfits nude the game in two thousand twenty one and a half way in the season now. It seems like he's back up to speed so you think so. So you think so. You guys happy. Because i thought it was going to be a disaster especially after the mercedes thing. I didn't think he was going to last the season but the team obviously kept winning winning cures. All as we've found in every sport your team wins. your player. performs can overlook a lot of things So you think he's actually turned into what this team needs. I think so. I think he's somebody who doesn't mind conflict like you look at his cardinals. Days with scott rolen. Jd drouin colby. Rasmusen afraid to butt heads with players even good ones a just if he wanted to prove a point or felt like they could do better or whatever it's like you didn't mind Rubbing a player wrong way and it didn't seem to affect them on the field. And i think we're seeing the same thing. The white sox like tim anderson. And jose abreu are leaders of the clubhouse the players respond to them and then i think they respond to I guess how. Andersen debris responded. Larussa and abreu's ben a dutiful. You against veteran. You're basically saying like you know whatever. Tony wants his fine anderson. Somebody who will be like more like yeah who cares not in a way. It affects the effort. Just if he thinks that larussa is going to be upset about a bat slip or A quote in the media like he's not going to care so i think They're allowed to be themselves lance..

"Some barbecue. Something like that going on. Joe Brands and WGN Radio Sports. Joe's been mentioning all morning that we've got five Chicago professional baseball players headed to the All Star Game in Colorado, a trio of pictures from the white socks and a picture from the Cubs. Craig Kimbrel, but also Chris Bryant's heading over Joe any surprises and who got to go this year? No, I think it's I mean, are you talkin Chicago or overall or ball? Just that comes in the socks? Yeah. Socks not having a position player surprises me a little bit. Yeah. I mean, obviously, you know some of the big names who have been injured all year like Louis, Robert Lloyd Jimenez. They might be guys that you're looking at, Um Jose Abreu. Au hasn't had his top of the caliber season so far this year. There's been that decline that you're me. Mercedes has had in so many offensive guys. You know, there's always just some type of flaw here and there. You're thinking maybe Tim Anderson Probably with the best shot offensively, but, um, you know, it's this team is is built so well rounded that even when you know Robert and Jimenez went down I figure okay. At least it's in the aspect for this team, where they where they are. The deepest heading into this year was all about the explosive offense and how many guys that they had in this lineup That could just do damage at any point, And obviously you don't want to see injuries and you don't want to see all these Highlight guys going down, especially at the same time, but if there were an aspect for this team to go down You would think it should be the offense because it is so deep that they can pull through, and I mean they're still doing that right now. They're in first place. They've got the best run differential in the American League Central. Um, so you know, it's it's It's just one of those things where you've got a really great team and you hate to see these injuries. But who knows what's going to happen towards the end of the year? When a few of these guys can come back and maybe do some damage? It really is impressive that the sacks have been able to weather the storm with this many injuries. You mean Mercedes, who had the hottest start of anybody in like 100 years, is now playing in the minor leagues. He sells a better average than anybody on the Cubs, but he's not good enough to stay on the socks right now. That's stunning. Yeah, but that just shows of how hot of a start he got off to, Um, and then it also just shows how tough this league is and how pictures can adapt to you and they can, you know, figure out some of your holes, and I think some of that has been exposed. I think the biggest not the biggest concern, but the biggest thing that hurts You mean Mercedeses. He doesn't really have a position, so he's not hitting. He becomes a very invaluable piece. And then why not bring up a guy like Jake Burger? When Yoan Moncada goes down, and then Jake Lamb goes down with it? Why not bring up a guy with an opportunity to do something? If he can play a position and help you out defensively a little bit, So I mean, that's just kind of the case with your many Mercedes, but I still can see him. Popping up towards the end of the year. And like coming away with this huge playoff game that helps the socks and such a big way, you know, like a pinch hit situation or something and he comes through. I don't think we've seen the end of your main Mercedes. But I appreciate what the socks are doing. Giving a guy like Jake Burger an opportunity and also just holding Mercedes accountable for not being able to sustain what he did at the beginning of the year and also saying something like he's still outperforming anybody. And the Cubs isn't saying anything right now because the Cubs are all time awful right now. It's unbelievable. They throw combined no hitter on the first game of the trip in L, A. And then bupkis ever since, and they can't produce any often. Yeah, but you know, and I'm not. I'm not making excuses. But what has it been? 51 run losses on this nine game losing skid? I mean, I get it. You got to score more runs than the other team. But Kyle Hendricks said. It best is like we have to play a perfect game in order to win. But listen, I know I know Cub fans don't want to hear excuses because it's just basically been a downhill slide ever since 2016 and there's a lot of fingers being pointed, but Yeah, it's just It's just frustrating because now you're seeing why the Cubs were able to win so much before because this bullpen was just kind of saving them in these games where the offence produces just enough in the bullpen hangs onto it. And now you can't really blame the bullpen. But now that their faltering even just a little bit, this whole team is kind of crumbling At this point, um And two weeks ago three weeks ago, you're all excited that the both teams are in first place and headed towards really exciting fall, And now you're talking about the cubs selling off pieces. But then you're thinking who is even worth anything right now with the way that they're playing, so we'll keep an eye on that will talk to you about this more as the show goes on. Right now, it's going to be a sticky day out there. Let's.

And when you are six, ft five you play for a space and you do not hit for power. You don't exactly Fly through the minor leagues. It was and it's funny, the pandemic just mess things up. I think if I get this in my head correctly, I think it was two years ago. I think it was in Birmingham. He started showing some power. And the pandemic happens and there's really nowhere really for him to go. He played in the alternate site, but now he's they always said when he wasn't having the power that it was going to come. It was going to come Would rather have the power and, uh, I would rather have no power and plate discipline for a guy this size, then a guy the size power, No plate discipline. So now he's got the power. We will see. I can tell you that Frank Thomas and eyes again who know a lot more about hitting than I do. We're very impressed with his swing. He can go the opposite way. Uh, if he starts pulling the ball up here Oh, my goodness. So let's see what happens here with Gavin Sheets. You know, today tends to be a day when you mentioned Mercedes to look and Oh, look, the league adjusted. Um he was adjusting back a little bit. That Oh, Mercedeses down. He got cool. I think What we need to do today is sort of. If you're a Sox fan appreciate him because at the beginning of the season when you didn't know how the team would respond without two of its best players and a break you not getting off to a fast star that for a while, there he carried you And I think it's important here when you look back on the season in the success, Sure, the pitching but also I think a lot of Sox fans the tip of the cap to your mean Mercedes. If Mercedes didn't do what he did. I'm not sure this act will be in the first place right now. Or maybe they're tied or a game up on the Indians. I mean, he helped them win several games. And I think if Moncada hadn't gotten hurt, he'd still be here. He doesn't have a lot of position, versatility, and Han told Mercedes LaRussa told Mercedes you'll be back and he's going to be back. This is a question of when he was starting to come out of his slump. Um, but you know, this is a teams trying to win a division not develop players. This is this is win now Mode and so he just got squeezed. It was a roster squeeze situation with Mercedes. He will be back, and I'd like to Think that when he comes back, he'll have a lot more of that confidence at the plate that we saw in April because it was lacking a little bit. It was starting to come back, but I mean, I did. What I love about this team is just decides the fact that they're in first place. And they're fun to watch. There's so many stories, the stories all around the diamond, and he certainly one of them looking back on the sweep of the of the twins. What you make of the Josh Donaldson comments towards Lucas Giolito and all that took place there. Alrighty. So here we go. Um, how long we got, uh, as long as you need to give it to us. What did Ozzie say behind the scenes? That's really what I'm trying to get out. What did Ozzie say behind the scenes? So he was the guy? What he says is so funny. You know, Ozzy is his old school and after there's so many layers to this story, so it's like, uh, his old school. He didn't I don't wanna speak for Ozzy. I'll speak for me. Um, the thing that got me with Donaldson was he just called out He didn't call out Lucas Giolito. He called out every single pitcher in Major League baseball, including his entire pitching staff. Because we don't know exactly who's doing it. But enough pictures are doing it. He was using the foreign substances that you know in the same game. You had Kenta Maeda, who seemed to be really struggling with his grip and with his location and control. So that was not the right move. And I also want to give a shout out and thank you. To Josh Donaldson. Because you know what he did He try to wake up his Twins team. He woke up the White Sox because the White Sox were struggling offensively for about a week. Eight days. They scored. 28 runs in three games after Donaldson did that, and what that showed me was. Who's got the better will more talented team but also who's got the more United team? What team is going to know when things Could go South are going to take this thing north, and when things go south will go further South and further south. That's what's going out with the twins. The White Sox. What do they do? They sweep them to get behind Lucas Giolito. I can tell you that this confrontation that Donaldson said happened in the parking lot after the game was not exactly how Downton described it. In fact, I think some of the twins players were telling him to get back on the bus after he was having this conversation with Lucas. I like Josh's. Allison is a player. I've said in the past. I'd love for the White Sox to sign him, but he can be a little too much. And when a team is going good, and you got too much, Josh Johnson, that's great. Things are not going good. And you got too much. Josh Johnson. That's the problem. So what happened then? I mean, they were saying, Get on the bus. What do you hear happened? I don't know what happened. I just heard that they told him to get back on the bus. Okay? And I think this happened to Josh Donaldson wanted to say something and maybe confront Lucas Giolito. And then he stood up to Lucas Giolito and saw six ft. 6 260. On mountain of a man who realized, you know, maybe I shouldn't confront him. I needed maybe Not be as my thoughts and feelings about this confrontation. I might have to back off a little bit. Might. That might be a better thing to do? Total papo of what he said he did, then? Yeah. I mean, I want to say Tola Po, but he made, he told a story That is not the fault. Was told he did not tell the full story. I was not there, but I was told he did not tell the full story of what happened. Okay. Last question for you last at at dinner. I was dining, believe it or not, with the Sox fan. And I made a bet about grand all making the All Star game, he says. Grandal will make the All Star game I said no. Now that he's not starting And we bet a good bottle of booze. So what do you think? Well, I mean, I have not looked at the competition fully to know who he's up against. Do you know off the top of your life? I think Gary Sanchez has an opportunity. But I mean, you know what Gary Sanchez won't be there over grand dollars. I mean, I know he's got all the home runs in a high on base..

"I our earning only see. What's up that you now man bro. Deep on the cover looking f- information uncovered win anniversary always catching a man and own. Yeah oh yeah and next up. We got the man who knows everything about the word of baseball. He knows much about the word of faith but he got his own. Signet gives us a may seven right here right there right. There he's right. There was suffering match chile miss long time. No see. I think we did this last night. And it feels like the same thing over and over aright guys catch you up no world. You'll catch up on a baseball. We'll catch up on the nba play-off almost to that time for the nba finals. Down to the final fourteen. We'll catch you up on that. But first we're going to break up seventy new segment the seventh inning stretch man. Every time i see that flag as you can see my man joel out here doing josh. Every time i see that flag. I gotta put my hand my heart because it does a brother. Good doesn't goo alright. Seven will be getting word of baseball. My friend simple stuff going on about this group. Talk about how bad the arizona diamondbacks and i think. It's important that we discussed. Because i mean the manager of the demographic right now. I don't know how much longer to last but now tour. Obviously you know. He's named baseball and you'd think with him better rushes for we have. The dining have only won five games. Since may i gaze. Benson's issued shooting for them like it's again. This is a mental to the mlb real making district ball in new york. City is still alive able to shoot order but this the timing backs it really frustrating because the than mexicans had gotten rid of important pieces like alternate has gone. You know that was one of their solid. That's i mean goalies legendary. Let's all be ridiculed. But you guys like jake lamb. That are just not playing. Well you can join okay. But he's a he's a limited session. Most of these best here right now. His batting average is two sixty to seventy something like that. Oh in the done it in. They got horrible. Itchy rotation at bomb is absolutely horrible. And i really wish like cdot joe buck in the faces. I say to watch his forehead. Exploding and see von silent cells accidents on it But the the thing that is like they are pro. Theirself be software. Initiate here is a small market team but they are a pro baseball team. One team wins. I'm sorry yeah. Twenty wins when we are past seventy games into the season it's acceptable. The bax fans deserve the players deserve better. They deserve to be in that environment. That's mostly crushing his seen. He's numbers but you also have to be out around the public on your days off and people look at you like you know. We're lucky when we get done working you mess up. We sit down and talk about this works out. that's all. They see and mimic in so go ahead. I just what are you. What are the best alpine. Ask you a question. What do you think the problem lies. You'd figure relies with management you dig. It relies on a minor league system. Having anybody to be called up what do you think everything is everything. It's king caboodle. It's always listed at all. They have no pitching staff but really don't have anybody in their feeder teams to pull up. That can help them. Really the diamondbacks best chop vessel threat at this point scrubbed the season. Let it go. Try and get a good lottery. Position draft next season. Because they have no one to call up. They don't have a great coach. The guy a couple of guys they do have that are names. Have been calling all the weight for so long that they're baxter. Just get their done. They they can't do it. And i think even if you could pull some crazy trade which trade deadline dover but yea molson crazy whatever. There's still no way that the diamondbacks even becomes closed additive so the dining but now as ati screw basically this season i just with the package. Don't have anybody for system. Is he a call years. At least before the get along how did they. How did you get into the spot though and small market team. They're one of the lowest. They have one of the lowest salary cap out of any team in the league. They don't have no one wants to go and play in arizona. No one wants to be in arizona. There's nothing pull big players to zona. If the dire exhibitors wanted to do something they look at moving out of yours not to like should base he pops out as i say but not sure what happened. There early is not make making sense. But the the thing that it is for me and i think the big the diamondbacks really aren't a bad place is they didn't even have anybody. The trump trade deadline they could move to try and build. Detroit short jailed to rebuild the future. Like just not like that starts really bad cycle when you're so unprepared the you don't even have traded me to try and it's like any problems. Just let me rub that off curves My astros are looking like that. World series weren't series team. Wants a great man seven straight actually. Sorry eight straight everyday. Swale bruce sharks Not just slip the by socks. Yokip my most important. They made the white sox their name be known a again. No crew motor pull respect for it too because they're playing with targets on their backs The so i said this last week korea came out and said that the locker room feels like it did in seventeen and nineteen when they had their world series runs and this year because we were just talking about thirty earth seven last week about.

"Some guy might sneak something in 34 weeks from now, But Darvish tonight definitely going to be watching that game after the Cubs and And and Indians play, because, yes, I think you're right. Those guys with great spin rates. Let's keep an eye on them. Well, that White Sox team was lives against the Astros. That is, uh, injury street on ineptitude Avenue That was on the cross streets that I saw. That was, anyway, the Astros want to win. They were able to win. So, Jesse, would you say that this is an anomaly? Or do you believe the injuries are catching up offensively? I think the latter is true. I do. I think it's anomaly in terms of the starting staff like I'm not worried about the whites exportation. They got beat up a little bit. A few of them were do let's face it. Guys aren't going to go through the season with 13 E R a cease and Lynn I'm talking about, so I'm not worried about the rotation, but yes, I think it caught up with them. I've said since January, this team is short a left handed back. When they signed eating. I wasn't thrilled. You got off to a decent start. Came down to Earth. Now he's hurt. I still think they need left handed. Help Jake Lamb did it A homer yesterday, Moncada came back at a couple hits. But for the season this team is hitting to the lefties are getting to 17. 2 17. Now they're O. P s is better because Grandal walks like there will be piano But big deal. You need some more damage from the left side. I mean, if the Cubs were to sell, Jack Peterson would look so good there. How about Schwarber Five home runs the last couple of days like There's some names that should be available out there from the left side. That's my big takeaway that when you have these tough writings, and then Novell does picture when you have these tough righties, you need to run into a couple ones. And they weren't able really to do that other than Jake Lamb over the weekend. I think they did get up. Little exposed offensively. Now, Look, this is a sweep in New York. This is a sweep in Houston. I've said like it's good. They need to play these games. But next time, you know, they need to start winning some of these on the road to get ready for October, But this this was a buck kicking. Tony Lewis has said as much afterwards. Hey, you know what? You know why baseball will never die. Happen. And Jesse? You know why? Because of the infusion of young talent. We're going to see wander Franco up here pretty soon here for the for the race number one prospect in the game. How good is that? Jesse like that, and I've been watching some of the College World series seeing Al Leiter's kid Jack, lighter from the right side. This is why baseball will never die because you always see what's next. I love the young talent 25. You're coming into the game, and it's It's getting younger. And it's coming in quicker, more and more, starting to Andrew Miller, the Cardinals last week he's on the executive board. They've got this big Ciba coming up. And I give him credit. He's an older player. The picture Andrew Miller, He's They are going to fight for younger players to get paid quicker, like if you have If you're the working here, like Brian in 16, you don't just get a couple $100,000 raised right. You should be able to make a little bit more money. Before you get to free agency six years later, So actually, a lot of these veterans are going to fight for the young players to get paid quicker. And the big thing is, they're going to fight about that service manipulation time. So if you're ready to come out to make the team out of spring training, you actually make it Instead of being held down, So it's a good observation. J. Hood young players. The game has gone so much younger, and they think if they pay the young players a little bit more, there's still will be some dollars for the veteran players. It's just like They're trying to come up with the right formula where the 33 year old isn't pushed out of the game. Yet the 22 year old does get paid a little bit sooner. Before we let you go in terms of trades, Rick Hahn said last week. Yes, we're looking and we absolutely will be aggressive. Tony came out, said I completely trust the front office. I do think they'll add on How long does jet let this just kind of linger out there? Oh, he'll go through the All Star break like this. There's no doubt so he's not gonna even try and add a competent, decent arm And I'm not talking about Cole Hamels, who's thrown in his alley. Right. You talk about masters if you can get them. Yes. No, he will. But Jose Berrios. Yeah, I don't think anybody's right barriers. I don't think anybody maybe the twins would be ready to trade July 1st. I just don't know if he can pull it off. Before July. Let's put it that way. That's his his brother in law. Make the call, right. You don't know what you don't know where you're going to be. In mid July, you could stand. I think he's got to let it let it play out a little bit longer. But also there's other teams, calling the twins for barriers to let's not forget, but that guy's controllable you've got another year. We tried this. It f in Chicago. Are we trying to win or not? Well, until they mean when they traded garbage. They weren't until they got the first place. You know, more recently, they weren't so now that maybe they are I mean, I'm just saying camp. It's not that easy. Other teams are calling for burials as well. And those teams might Be more desperate. They don't have a world series in their 27. I'm talking over Jesse. He's trying to explain. Just get your book out there and let him explain. My beak wants Jose Berea. Okay, But Jesse is given an explanation. You're interrupting its June. What other big trades? Have you heard in June? It just doesn't happen. Because there's no other first place team that has his crappy rotation. There's plenty that want. Look at the White Sox. There's plenty that need him. There's plenty that needs starting pitching. I'm just saying, Let's get to July That's trading season. So I think it goes towards the All Star break before something biggest pulled and then from there to the end of the month. That's when the action happens. Find how it normally happens by Jesse I don't like your answer. Have a wonderful day. But I do love you. I'm sorry, Jesse. Have a great day, man. He hung up, say he's bad. Say, why did you do that? Let me Do you go? Do you go burials? Arborio says you're it's Maria's He says Burials. Well, it's very, uh okay. Great costumes, is it? You know you, jen. As a geisha. Well, okay. Is that Juan Soto? Or or they're so told Jesse brought to you by the pride stores. 15 Chicago area locations experience the Pride stores. "I mean, all those challenges that we have for just 10 football games a year would exist now for 81 games. For for a White Sox team, But I'm just brainstorming here. And you asked me that question. Yeah, I'm not an architect, but if it was possible, Yeah, I would love to have the White Sox playing a stadium. That overlooks this beautiful skyline that we have and the timing of it with the White Sox and guaranteed rate field. It was new Comiskey Park at the time. No one had fully imagined that they missed it by like a year that Oh, why don't you build a stadium with this open air? You know, view from looking out to center field where you can see the skyline. It just wasn't done before and then was like a year after the new stadium was built, that became the new design in baseball with Pittsburgh and Detroit. Baltimore even with Camden Yards, so, Yeah, I would love that. Like you. I see has an amazing baseball field Curtis Granderson Field, and that's the design that I would love to have. But Me saying that and it's actually happening, right? That's a humongous leap. But I hear what you're saying. Yes, it's a great, really great real estate primary estate in this city with a view for who towards our skyline. It's amazing. All right, let's talk about the socks. It was a great series two out of three. It was a great game Yesterday, I you didn't love giving up a 72 lead but taking two out of three from what some considered was the best team in baseball, That's that's a great series. Yes, these are measuring stick series that socks are having right now. You have them face a team under 500. They're going to demolish them. That's what basically what they've been doing. They've been being all the inferior teams. For the most part. Now they face the J's last week took two of three raised this week, took two of three without Moncada, by the way, I mean, they win those last two games without him. That's great to see and like they've been decimated with injuries, and they are not making excuses. The key for this entire team. There's two things actually two keys. One is the starting rotation and Compared to 22,005 starting rotation with this one, and I'm thinking there's no way they're as good if not better, but it was a different time. But in 2000 and five the White Sox starting rotation had a 3.75 e R a 2021 so far, 2.95 Strikeouts per nine again Different era. 2021 10.255 2005.78. So I look at that, and I said, Okay, that's special. They're doing special things. Now. They haven't won anything in the playoffs and you know it. We went all five with your five rotation did in the playoffs is just You make you can make a movie about it will never be done again. They'll never It will never be done done again. In terms of stuff and talent. It is right now, arguably a better staff this year. You've got two guys that are one guy Dallas Kinkel has won two Cy Young. There's No. One in the White Sox rotation from 05 that want to stay young. And at Lance Lynn and Giolito. I've been in the top five in the last couple years, so It's interesting to see how this plays out. I want to see how far this team goes with this rotation. It is a rotation that can win a World Series. Those thing is the supporting cast. Ryan McGuffey. My colleague came up with the name the others. Like like the movie you guys their spare parts who are coming out of nowhere or just from the system, or they even bring them in, like Brian Goodwin were coming in and contributing. Danny Mendicant Leary Garcia, Jake Lamb, Zach Pounds of backup. I mean, these guys whenever they get opportunities are oftentimes they're helping them win games. And when you have that going on in this kind of season with so many injuries all over the baseball and you're getting that kind of production from your others that's going to put you in first place That's going to get to the to the playoffs, and that's what's happening with the White Sox. It's good stuff. Chuck are fine. Joining us. He's brought to buy first Midwest Bank helping you build momentum. You have plans first Midwest Bank has ideas before I let you go. Cease tonight. The Astros are far from Detroit and then wrote Don tomorrow, and I think it was you guys at NBC Sports Chicago got him to talk about. You know the sticky stuff and he brought up how none of the Astro players were ever suspended in how he was pissed about that. So they get a look at the Astros to start the series sees tonight, rodent tomorrow. What are you expecting out of both, And then the road down question. Obviously, in the wake of what he said Okay, so for sees what I'm looking for for him is you mentioned Detroit? Yeah, he has never lost the Tigers. Go a little further this year. He is foreign. Oh, with an E. R a in the ones against teams under 500 against teams over 500. He's I think one and two with an E, R a in the fives. So here he's going to be facing an Astros team. That's over 500. How will he do? I'm watching that. So it was a couple of days ago, I went down to the ballpark before pregame show, and I had an interview with calls were done. And before I sat down with them, I said, Hey, can I ask you about the foreign substance stuff and it goes sure. So when he said, Sure. I'm like, Oh, he must have something he wants to say. And that's what he said He He says he doesn't use foreign substances. He honest, you know, on the mount when he's pitching, he said that he took a shot at Rob Manfred, because he's like, you know, he took it He stood up for his fellow pictures, basically, is what he did. He's like you're going to give, you know pictures, a 10 game suspension. Because of stuff that you know is maybe maybe not. On their bodies while they're pitching and maybe really helping them, okay? But then you've got the Houston Astros who openly cheated and lead it to a World Series title. They did it for two years that we know of, and the players are not even punished. That's what makes him upset about it and so many people, So he says this and his next start is against the Astros. Houston that's going to be interesting. It's going to be great. Chuck. Great stuff. As always, We appreciate it good to talk. Good to talk to you. What's me, Ozzy and Pathetic on the pregame show. "To beat out an infield hit, or you're trying to save a home run, you know just these weird movements. It's stuff you can't practice and I think at times, uh, guys just do things they've never done before trying to help their team win and all of a sudden you're out for six weeks or 12 weeks or an entire season because something snapped The outstanding voice of the White Sox joining us right now and cast birds Waddle and Sylvie on ESPN 1000. So what you said about Hey, they could get them back as and it's almost like bonuses. So how does Rick Hahn handle that balancing act of the trade deadline happening on July 31st and hoping they come back, but not counting on it and going after someone of substance position player wise? Well, I'm not going to speak for him, but I would say that he probably has had a bunch of sleepless nights. Contemplating that very question. How much do you give up to get a player back in return? Who could be an everyday player? And then all of a sudden if the other guy comes back, you don't mind having depths, right? And too many good players. But then all of a sudden you maybe have mortgage Bit too much of your future, if not even your present to maybe have to get the guy you want And then the balance doesn't quite work When everybody's healthy. I don't know. The the ultimate answer to that question. I would like to think that by maybe mid July, uh, Kenny and Rick and Jeremy Haber will have a better idea. Of How realistic it is that any if or all of the three will be back, So I do think there's still time and I appreciate that They have let this play out with internal solutions. So far, they haven't needed to go out and make a trade. And the main reason is they're starting pitching has been so good that they're in every single ball game. And then I think, secondarily the guys who have filled in have also been excellent for the most part, but I think the best answer to give guys is you wait as long as you can towards that trade deadline. And then make those big decisions when you're forced to, all right, So let's just play a hypothetical. We had a lot of calls on this, and I promised that I would ask you if they would go out and get someone of note to play an infield position, whether it's like a Trevor story type player. Are you open minded to moving players? Whether it's alloy. I mean Moncada back to second base or moving Tim Anderson, the second base or you not screwing around with them. It's funny. I was talking with two people here separately about the very question of Moncada moving Back to second base. Uh, I I even thought about it in terms of Jake Lamb, who is a third baseman by trade. And if you want to have him in the lineup a little more often, and you've got enough outfielders that day that she could put lamb there and and ultimately Sylvie, where I go, Yuan's having an MVP type season? Yeah. I'm not messing with him. The only way I would do it as if he literally walked into Tony's office and said, I want to play second base. I don't think that's a question. I would feel comfortable asking him. I would leave that one up to the player. And for now, I would leave him right where he is on land. I know he can't take the ball every night. But I'd like to watch Lance Lynn pitch every night that dude and he deals and he's fun to watch. Do what he does. He is He really is. He's a very interesting guy. Off the field as well. I've gotten to know him a little bit. He's exactly what I think this team and this pitching staff needed. He's been through a lot of those wars he's pitched in the postseason. He pitched for Tony when he was a rookie. Way back when The stuff is really good. And the bar has been set so high that I don't think I've been effusive enough in my prays When all of a sudden you look down and you go Wait a minute. He just went seven innings, no walks and nine strikeouts. But we've come to expect it now. It feels like every fifth day from Lance Lynn and this has been one of the best stretches I've seen in a long time, probably going back to when I watched Jake area to dominate. The stuff is not the same as Jakes. It's more fastball heavy, but right now you're almost shocked when he gives up a run. We were debating earlier in the show Lenn whether or not the record against really good teams is important for the white sacks if they keep winning in general Well, they're dominating the teams they should beat and they're right around 500 against the really good teams. That's that's usually how it plays out right. There aren't too many teams in the history of the game. Who dominate everybody. Those are the teams that win 115 games a year. So with the unbalanced schedule that we have now the idea is against the 4th and 5th place clubs. If you can win 14 15 out of 19 against each You really don't have to dominate the rest of the league and the White Sox are on. What about a 98 99 win Pace right now. That'll that'll work. Yeah, that will play right it finally Len, are you as frustrated as everyone is with replay, not necessarily the outcome, but the process and the lack of transparency. Yes And no. I think it has come a long way. I think they've done a much better job with it. I feel like we've had more moments in games where the proceedings tend to be halted because of the 22nd limit. There have been a few calls that feel like they should have been overturned and have not. I think ultimately It will keep getting better. And I think the best thing is the communication aspect. And that's where miking the crew chief is probably the way to go. So the 25,000 people in the ballpark and those watching and listening can hear it directly from the person who got it from New York. Here's the call, and here's why we made it. I think that would help a lot when I've said Why not Just show us through technology? The guy reviewing the play in New York? Why can't we make that guy up? It's not a bad idea. The XFL did it. Yeah, Yeah, I'm good with that. Absolutely and have a great game. Good stuff as always, And we always appreciate your time. Thanks. Have a great weekend, fellas. There he is. He's outstanding and he's right here on ESPN 1000 nearly each and every day is Len KASPER, and he's the voice of the white side. The XFL also wrestled for the football to see who got it. That's the old accent foul. I'm not saying it's all good, but maybe we could do the same thing. The pictures could wrestle on the mat. Found and whoever wins They get to choose whether they want to bat First BAT Lab. You leave me perfectly into the meathead notion that the voice of the Yankees brought up on the air and he wants to wrestle, Maybe even more. I want to play you one of the one of the worst things I've heard from a play by play voice in baseball in a long time that's coming up. Next. You were talking about waddling silk self on.

"Have grand. I'll go with deep Jake Lamb going deeper than Tim Anderson caps it off with a homer to center field. One of the ones that Timmy needed. I think his last homer was sometime in the middle of May. So it's nice to see that he gets one White Sox gonna win. Let's see if they can make it two straight over the Tigers Wait to some cubs up in just a second. For those who don't know we've talked so much. You're on the radio stations about when they're going to get to 100%. And I know yesterday all the talk was the Cubs getting 100% full capacity. June 11th earlier today, the white sacks And Brooks Boyer talked about them. They have a series on June 14 through the 16th with Tampa Bay in town. They would be able, according to the city to go to 100% capacity, but Brooks Wire and the White Saxon earlier today they likely won't get to full capacity until June, 25th When they come home against Seattle. June 14 through the 16th is a short three game series, and what's happening is that they've been selling tickets. To home stands based on 60% capacity. By doing that a lot of their season ticket holders had to be moved to other seats, not the seats that they originally Paid for because of the distance needed to social distance needed between seats. So in order for them to figure everything out, they may not be able to get to 100% capacity. Until that June, 25th series when Seattle comes to town, and you can understand it. I was trying to figure out and maybe this is why Um, the guy with the guy with the Eminem's jacket on our guy George Jacobs. From what he said the limo he's sitting behind the White Sox dugout or anybody that's watched white sax baseball for the last 10 or so years knows the Eminem's jacket supposed to be behind home plate, but he wasn't there. So I was trying to figure out why he was behind the White Sox dugout instead. Now maybe he switch seats. We don't know. But if on June 25th, he's right back there, you know exactly why, and it's kind of strange seeing the Eminem's jacket behind the Sox dugout and not behind home plate. 3123323776 Give me a call. If you're one of the white sack season ticket holders who had their seat moved. Who's had to be moved a little bit, and you can't wait till the 25th to get the seats you wanted moved in. Now. Everybody should understand what's been going on and why. It's like this. But it will be really nice when everybody can get the seats. They wanted the seats they had paid for, and I know the white sacks and a friend of mine's in the ticket office, he said. They've been going crazy selling tickets by home stand things like that. My buddy Pete just says it's been nuts. Completely crazy Having to sell tickets here here we have 20% here we have 25 Here we have 60% You try to get the season ticket holders as many of you as you can to where they need to be well producer when it gets to be 100% capacity on June 25th Then the White Sox will all have the fans sitting in the seats that they paid for. Also between the 14th and the 16th. There also is a good chance that they'll sell more tickets because he'll be able to free more seats up. Um so they want to make sure they take care of their season ticket holders or as poorly used to say that she's a reservation holders. Um So they'll try to take care of that. But tonight they'll try to take care of the Tigers once again again. It would be nice to see I think was five home runs last night, five solo homers and 21 strikeouts. Game time. Two hours and 29 minutes. That was nice. And the White Sox win. Um you like to see more guys in the lineup hitting but your take away any way you can get them, um, your main Mercedes saw in the lineup. Sitting in the five spot. If I'm not mistaken, he has finally dropped below the 300 mark. He is struggling. He's scuffling and I was wondering, and other people were wondering to. You called up Gavin Sheets. Having sheets gets called up. And maybe today would have been a perfect time to put him in as a designated hitter. Get him some swings, his first professional swings and Tony LaRussa decided not to do that. Socks light up pretty much the same as yesterday. Except in second base. You have t eight You have eaten Moncada Abrego, Mercedes Gradel Lamb and left. Garcia is in center tonight. After being at second base yesterday, Nick Madrigal back in the game at second base, they were able to make some late inning defensive replacement Yesterday, they moved Garcia out to left in place. A lamb and Danny medic went into second base. Tony's got his guys he can use. Yesterday It was Lance Lynn for six strong innings, and then you go to the bullpen Bummer with a nice inning. Thank goodness every time Aaron Barber comes in this year, I'm sweating. I don't know about you that have been marshaled another guy who a lot of White Sox fans have been sweating. And he pitched well and then Liam Hendriks and then the final play of the game or the final batter in the game. He should have been the final better straight three. The ball goes to ground doll's feet. He throws the first base and The guy beats out the throat there to throw one more batter, but Liam Hendriks getting the out last night. Also one of the stranger things you've seen in baseball. When you watch you watch baseball. You see strange happenings all the time. And yesterday we saw White Sox starting pitcher thrown out of the game because it was Lucas Giolito and all night long the home plate umpire was giving Was calling strikes on balls are out of the strike zone. I saw the umpire report today. They said he had an 89% correct. Call his balls and strikes yesterday. There were a couple early lance length real ball right over the middle of the plate. And it was about to baseball's inside the box and it was called the ball early in the game first inning. I want to say, and then Moncada gets one he gets called out at strikes in the eighth inning. Out of all that was probably about 6 to 8 inches off the ground and Lucas Giulio gets tossed from the game yesterday..

"So before we bring out our first guest, um, we were talking. That caller asked who would likely go down after Adam Angle comes up? You know, I can't wait for Adam angle to come up. He had a nice season last year and he's out for this long, but I can't wait for him to come back. And you and I both think it will be Jake Lamb. We do. Yeah, but we are color or a vision or something else on Twitter, J. Edwards said. It's gotta be Garcia. You don't need him in the infield because of men. Dick and Hamilton slash angle are better in the outfield. They love Garcia. I rent a real negotiations on the table. That's not even on the table is for us. I'm concerned. He can do too many things. I think it's gonna be Jake Lamb because Garcia can play second. He could play short. He's playing outfield by third If he had to, um, you know, you got men Dick and medics you got has been going up and down the whole time. So yesterday, I knew I talked to Tyler and I had asked to get Deon Miller and I said, Well, this is great because I can watch Dion do her weekend sports, and then we can talk to her and then That I look and that that wasn't the end. That was Mark Sadowski. As we bring in Deon Miller from ABC seven. I was looking forward to seeing you yesterday on TV, and there's Marc. I know I like I'm actually off this weekend yesterday. Was my daughter's seventh birthday home, celebrating that with her and then my grandmother, you guys my grandmother is turning 99 this week, and so we are headed to visit her in Ohio to celebrate that. So that's nice, Big, big weekend for us, So yes, I am off. But that doesn't mean I'm not paying attention. No, no. And, of course, your pain. Yeah. And Mark did a great job as expected. Um, yeah, There's a lot of fathers nice to see him back on TV. So the Cubs let's start with the Cubs because Another guy gets hurt yesterday. I mean, David body just reaching for a base. It looks so painful and then Horner with these injuries, I'm just wants a little nagging things. They fall down and they writhe in pain. This is the way it's supposed to be. It's baseball. How are they still competing with all these guys down? Well, you know, that is it is a wonder. I mean, when the season started, and he looked at the way the roster was set up and all these question marks about these guys futures and what's happening. You didn't expect them to be. Right there. I didn't expect them t get this hot at the end of May, right? We talked about that all the time. Like Where's your baseball team on Memorial Day and to speak as close as they are the first place like it's impressive and hearing David Ross save it. A lot of it is just the fact that they care so much about each other and that vibe that also feel vibe that you're willing to do the work. For your teammates, and you're all on the tenement that selflessness on the same page, like, I don't know if that's that. Scientific, But it seems to be. What's working for them is that they are all so committed to it. I mean, honestly, you guys I forgot. Jason Heyward was still out right? Like I'm like they're doing so well. That That and it's surprising. It's so sad, though about body going down because you feel like he was such a spark and a positive vibe both on and off the field. So so we'll see what happens from here. But it is. I mean, it's nothing short of impressive what they've been able to do, and there are a lot of people stepping up that we've never even heard of. Which is really, really the point right. I won't take wisdom martini. I mean, I mean it's been it's been really great to see and quite unexpected. 1000% in for them to have the longest winning streak in the National League right now would be a half game out behind a cardinal seem that I think they can eventually overtake even shorthanded. I feel like there's there's reasons to be To be excited about it now. Also totally complicates generators. World right like this is a nightmare. This is not what he was anticipating. And and so now and you have to wonder mentally. Where the being in a contract year is impacting. I mean, Kris Bryant. What is it 11 games in a row that he hasn't hitting streak right now, and he's leading the team. So you have to wonder mentally where that I know. I'm I know that everybody thinks I'm going to be traded and how that's impacting the way they approach every day. And I think that that is a big part of it is kind of like the movie Major league just being played out in front of us because you know the organization wanted them to lose. And they're not. They're not. Yeah, making things tough to get him real tub, because I mean, how do you if you're a Cubs fan and the right here, and you know who knows by the trade deadline, if there even in first place, you can't move Bryant and Plus now, what are you going to get for him? Because, you know, unless you're gonna put up big money that You know, he and his agent think they deserve. You're not gonna be able to keep him so you're not going to give up much of your You know your top minor leaguers in order to give him so I said yesterday if I'm the Cubs, and I know it's easy, I'm a Sox fan. But if I'm the Cubs, I would just say, you know, keep him write it out. When is much as we can, And if we lose him, we lose him. There's nothing else you can do. I think 1000%. I am never. So I grew up in Indian stand. So the major league thing really hits close to home, Sure, but so it so I understand that and I am never of the opinion that you cheer for your team to lose because of business. Reasons like that, to me is ridiculous. You you you're out there because you want to win And you want your team to win. You want See, nothing is more exciting to me, then seeing both the company and the White Sox do well, I mean, I'm always gonna cheer for that always now, and I feel like fans have to be the same way, too, is that I can't root for them to things to go bad. They have to want to win, and that's what they want to do it. So I say yes, I agree it. Let the chips fall where they may. Let's win as many games as we can. I think that's the best approach to it. It seems that you know, business wise because it is a business and there they've got to think about what What the future looks like, especially with this situation with Brian and Boris. That's gonna be hard to do. So what? What does that look like? And obviously things will unfold as we get closer to the trade deadline, But you know there is that business. Aspect of Hey, You know what? We You know, he's hot. We gotta get rid of them getting because we're not gonna be able to keep him. Exactly Right. What do you guys think? Can I ask? I have questions you can. What do you think about all this? Talk about the White Sox would make sense for Kris Bryant. What do you think of that? Um You know, it's funny because I don't know what they would give up. But to me, it would be too much whatever whatever they would have to give up is too much and we're closer than then that, Yeah, but we had a call earlier ran from the South side called and said the one thing the White Sox need going forward is probably without Eli and without Louise. Rather bad is another bass and I don't know that you could get much better back then. What Chris Brian's doing this year? Well, maybe we don't need that good about Yes, There's so much to pay for it. That's all. I'm sorry you play, but you don't. But the Cubs might has to because they may not want to make another trade with the White Sox after the container for you know, I've also seen control. This is a rumor to to the white shirt name later, right? Yeah, exactly. But yeah, and she Kris Bryant had to do over these last couple of years. He had to come back and have a good year for a couple reasons this year..

"Certainly the challenge for him, But you're not wrong. You know, you got a match. Gerrit Cole pitch for pitch, and he simply wasn't able to do that. Even through five innings start. Let's just say he was going to come out after five because of the high pitch count. Well, you can't be down five. Nothing against Gerrit Cole. So certainly advantage Yankees yesterday and they've won the series had four double plays. Don't help you there, you know, you know You get weird doubles and a triple this week, and you know it's just stuff real quickly. Let's go to the South Side, and Tracy Tracy, what's going on. You got to do it Don't well, trace. I want to say that I think the West that's a question. I think they try and to her and a big, just relaxed and played about the Really place. They come home with the wind, and I think that because pictures today, Tracy you think they're present because he's playing that the Yankees in New York? You think that's the reason depressing? I think they present state I know who that the team's still together at the weapon would totally lose. Well, they could. I appreciate tell Tracy I'm gonna disagree. Look, there's been some ups and downs with, Larus said. This is the first two days they've lost consecutive games in over a month. Come on, let's give them a break, and they're facing Forget about pressing there, facing the best pitching staff outside the White Sox in the American League. The Yankees can pitch and you know Gerry Cole's one of the best. In the league. So let's eliminate yesterday and just look at Friday. You want to say the repression against Jordan Montgomery. Okay, maybe they usually beat lefties. Montgomery's nothing special. So I'll give you that. But remember if they win with that ninth inning. We're not talking about any of this. So I don't I don't know about any of that stuff. Let's see how they are over time outside the division. Against some other good pitching. We can't just judge them on two games. You know, it was funny about that Montgomery game and we talked about it earlier in the first inning. All three outs were fly balls to right field and then men. Dick went to right field also, so it's kind of like they said, OK, we're a Yankee Stadium is a short right field may be sure that if you get a chance, go that way. Well, it seems like For the first nine guys in the order tried to go That way. You know against Montgomery. It didn't work. It worked really well for laboratories because he hit it a little bit further. Not too much, but a little bit further, So it was interesting. It looked like they had an approach. They were going to try to attack him by going to right field as opposed to maybe just being themselves. I don't know, And that is proud. That could be a great point, And that could be a great point that extends So a lot of these other teams outside the division like, Remember this is unchartered territory for a lot of these young Sox hitters. They haven't seen these pictures, maybe ever or at least in two years. They haven't seen some of these ballparks, maybe ever or at least in two years. There's a growing, there's gonna be some growing pains. I don't think You know, there's any doubt about that. It won't be the first road Syria's they lose outside the division. The good news is it's really a two man division right now, and they can afford some ups and downs. But that's what a long season does writing provide you that opportunity to learn and get better and all that stuff you would imagine if they come back to New York in October. There gonna be a little bit more ready if that if they're not ready now for a playoff series, So I don't think any of this is bad. Now. If they go into some tail spin, it will be obviously if the Indians overtake them because they have maybe a more veteran team or something other some other reason. It won't be nice, but the growing pains can benefit you as well. As long as you don't lose the division because of them. Jesse Fred brought up how we're seeing some of the you know the bench. Playing a lot of the bench. You know Billy Hamilton and Jake Lamb. Why have haven't hasn't Ricana dressed some of the issues right now or or is he going away to the deadline? Because maybe the cost to be less Yeah, I don't completely have the answer to that. There aren't that many trades this time of year. We have seen a few. There was one the other day. Maybe you know more than a minor one between the Brewers and the rate was raised. And so I don't have the answer to that. Hey, hasn't heard the right thing yet, Right? I also think that he felt like he had a little least They were playing really well. After Robert went down, Hamilton was playing really well. I think that may have had an effect on it. I've talked to some scouts and they thought Jake Marisnick was a perfect fit when they make Jake Marisnick got hurt, like if he was talking to the Cubs, though it is early, so the norm is to think, July Although the these injuries have put them sore Selves outside the dorm, so we are supposed to get angle back soon. Hopefully right is actually started Rehab stint. Tony talked about that today he's going to play center field. So he is getting ready down in the minors at center field, So I also think that's part of the equation as well. They're waiting for this one player to come back Eaton's and left today, by the way, because weird Yeah, I think they believe now. I know this because Tony basically said it. There's gonna be a lot more balls the left because a kike or whatever, and it's just a harder you know, bigger outfield to play, then right, and I when, whenever you put an outfielder in a different position, you know, and he's a good defender. It's usually because you think a lot of balls you're gonna go there. So look for more balls and left. And right, though sometimes you write that up, and it doesn't happen that way. So But Xander, I think those are all the answers angle certainly, And you know, just these other things that the parts aren't aren't fitting right now to maybe make a deal. They're playing well, and for a while there, they were getting a lot of Hamilton just we got. There's a guy on Twitter who got the wasn't said. Hey, I'm really tired of reading about breaking up the Cubs. Can we just let the season play out? Let them lose 10 in a row and then talking about breaking them up. You just did an article about why Kris Bryant could be the M V p of the summer's MLB trade deadline, and my thing is just play it out..

I don't like this when when you've lost the first two games of the Syriza's So I don't mean to scare whites, actually, because we talk more about the Saxon the Cubs and I got some other stuff again. Here's the lineup for today. Anderson, who snapped his over 16 street. He had hit yesterday and that's good. I thought he would. He's a short Jake Lamb's in right field. Hitting second, madam and go. Where are you know Moncada Third base, A brave would first Mercedes de agent. And hitting sixes and a meeting in left field. Getting seventies ground down behind the plate. And center field is Billy Hamilton. And then magical. A second base with Dallas cycle on the hill. You're right, Adam Angle. Where are you? Apparently he is going to be talking to the media soon. And it would be great to have Adam angle back because he can patrol the outfield. Not that vault had a great catch yesterday. Funny is not a liability field. He did you do feel bad for the two young guys Magical is we're making mistakes in New York like it's a triple Yesterday. Any figures are up seven. Nothing ground ball to third. They're not going to throw the home they throw home. They were and they were waiting for him with a cup of tea. And then the bad is in the way and I'm listening to the broadcast, and Steve Stone says. Steve Stone says. Well, of course you know the banks of the ways No one else is supposed to move it unless the guy on deck moves the bad. He wasn't complaining. He was just saying I wanted to slide, but the bed's there. They couldn't because I could get hurt. So people said, Well, he won't stand it up. We got he didn't want to kill himself with the bat laying there in the way, but it would not have been close. But you know, it wouldn't matter anyway. By the way update on Adam angle, he will be beginning a rehab. Stand in Charlotte tomorrow. So that's good man in there. Are they projecting how long that might be? Probably not. It's still TBD. Yeah, yeah. So hopefully that the ones are days. Maybe. Hopefully it would be nice its value to me a week or two. The White Sox have not lost three games and roll all year. If I'm not mistaken. The longest losing streak has been too right. So today is Dallas Kaiko going against Jamison tie on or tie own? However, you want to pronounce it there, shaking hands with the Sunday lineup there, shaking it up, and maybe that's what they need to deal. See. We'll see. Jake Lamb actually has homered twice in the last week. He has, but that glove But that club I mean, you know you got Billy Hamilton and center Which is funny, because I guess Billy Hamilton actually had hit Garrett Cole pretty well in the past, which nobody hits Garrett Cole Very well, but apparently Billy Hamilton was okay. And he wasn't in the lineup yesterday. Um, so we'll see how that turns out. The Cubs had a tough loss last night. Um Had barrels like pitching really well for the Cubs, and he went deep into the game. And then all of a sudden Yadi Molina hits a home run in the seventh inning..
