"Kind of got overlooked. Come Come Oscar time but an interesting choice for the service to push movie like this out worldwide especially as they lean more and more into cinema from Africa. Nattiest French but I thought it was. A great film is very similar. Kind of conversation happy's Lazaro. This is like arthouse indie cinema. That would otherwise have been released by Sony. Pictures classics or something. Like that and there would have been a three month campaign. It would play one hundred. Twelve theaters around the country would have been nominated for an Oscar and then it moves moves on. I think that I would make a bigger case for Atlantic than happy as Lazaro. I think that there is something I mean you know. Obviously the just the cinematography is very beautiful but there is something about the visual effects and the way that the central mystery is shown on screen. Right is really effective but also I think draws your attention and keeps your attention at home. There is a little bit more. There's like a literal. What's going on here as opposed to like a D metaphorical sociopolitical. What's going on here of some other movies? So this is another one that I would put a pen and if we have room we have room. I don't WanNa just cut it. I also recommend it. If you haven't seen Atlantic's it's on Netflix. You can watch it. That's the beauty of this entire situation as we're GONNA WE'RE GONNA name films. You may be having heard of before haven't thought about since they were released and if you WanNa return to them you can. Is there all in one place? How easy is that? Crip Camp Crip camp. You saw at Sundance dead. I saw it after that now. Crip camp by all accounts is the leading contender for the best documentary. Oscar at the at next year's Oscars is is a film Produced by Higher Ground Barack Obama and Michelle Obama's production company. It's a story about a camp of disabled people in the nineteen seventies and how the this group of people came together when they were very young. Essentially led to the movement to an incredible movement For Disabled Rights over the last forty years Very direct down the middle heartrending kind of story issues oriented documentary. This is the sort of thing that usually does well at award shows. I think it is well done well-made I have nothing bad to say about the movie. It felt very pro forma to me but also there's like two or three times on your when you'll cry when you're watching it you know like it's still kinda grabs you. What did you think a Kripke? Absolutely I I was very moved by also and this is this is on me but it was not a movement that I knew a lot of history about so I did actually find it really educational which sounds sort of like homework when I say it but there is just I I like I learned a lot about very recent history that impacts the way that we all live so and it is really effective in that way and it and it tells that story and there are a couple of personalities who are really memorable. I think it's more You know it's one of those things where it's an important story well told As opposed to like a a magical. Can you believe this happened moment of cinema and I think we possibly undervalue important stories? Well told like in life but also documentaries but I agree that you know I mean nothing rises to the level of American factory. It's a it's a tough standard to have but it's not quite there. I recommend it though. If you haven't seen it between Kripke and Mrs America I'm really learning a tremendous amount about seventy s political movements. That I was not alive for. Maybe we'll talk Mrs America at some point because that's also operated much like a film even though it's nine parts very interesting show. I would recommend crip camp. I think now especially the movie was only released. A few weeks ago so There's a lot of people who haven't had a chance to catch up on. It's very well done. Let's go to the two. Popes about the two popes. It's a movie I finally saw it I it existed and I saw it. I really nice movie enjoyed it. I really liked the last Seven minutes and you know. Watch it with your family some time and we can move on. It's kind of weird him with the two puffs I'll never forget telluride screening of the two popes in walking out and like four or five people around me just being like wow best picture. They did it. That's going to win. Best Picture and then It's a it's a nice movie. Tell done yeah great performances I think is probably a little bit cavalier about the destruction that the Catholic Church has brought on some people's lives but hey we're gonNA do. It was not gonNA go down that road but I agree with you. Okay okay moving on. Let's talk about fire. Fire another movie. That feels like it was one hundred years ago. It was fire last year. Was it last year at this? I honestly don't know and I have to be very honest. I looked this up and have already forgotten which one is fire in which one is the other. One fire is the film that was directed by Christmas. It did not include the participation of billy. Mcfarland the the IMPRESARIO behind the ill-fated fire festival I I think fire is the superior film to the Hulu Film which which I think is called is called Fire Festival. I can't recall I'M A. I'm a huge Chris Fan He made Jim Andy the Jim Carey documentary years before that on Netflix which I didn't include on this list but perhaps I've made a grave error He also made American movie which is like a much-loved late nineties. Sort of documentary. Fire is the first time I ever thought that Internet documentaries belong outside of the Internet. Because it's a story not just about the Internet and told by people who work on the Internet but it's like it has the energy of the Internet the movie itself. Now I don't know if that was a purposeful choice by the filmmakers but when I was watching it I was like. Wow this is this is kind of like watching a really good youtube videos in a row and I don't know that that's oddly. An achievement unto itself. What do you think I agree with you? Though I do find it hard to separate this movie from the other fire festival movie from like the Internet storm around it and a lot of ways that makes it very representative Netflix. Movie right because it just instantly became a meme and if you didn't see either one of these movies you were aware that they existed. You're aware of clips of them. Your characters from these movies and it it brought interest to the service itself just because of the the Internet nature of it which I think we're seeing more and more if you have a meeting or two in your net flex movie people well rewatch it. They'll screen shot it. That will send attention to it. I mean that's the bird box effect for sure so I I do think it's significant but I just the at at some point I do also think it's just kind of borrowing at at some point. This is what like looking at. Instagram is like all the time. And I'm very familiar with that because that's what I do and and it's a good explainer for people who don't do that and it does effectively recreate that but to me. It's a little bit borrowing on other Internet Platforms or mediums. If that makes sense it does so crip camps out. The two popes is out fire is out. Okay do we have to fight about this is I mean I love Ohka Island. I was really moved by Ota. And you're just you'RE GONNA be rude to accomplish director and to feelings and two children and to animals and I don't need to be. Yeah I have a heart. You're put in the awkward position of defending children. Animals Bong Jun Ho. And that's not awkward. I'll I will defend bogged Ho and children every day of the week animals. You know. Let's also just an unbelievably strange Jalen hall performance. Which is another thing. I can't believe you're not on board for that. This has all of the things that you like I. It's it's almost too much. It's almost like when you you wait all week to order that special meal your favorite restaurant. You know you've been anticipating anticipating and then finally server to you and you eat it in five minutes and then you're just incredibly sick for the rest of the night and you're like why did I ruin my Friday night by not respecting myself and my body and I feel like Okra is just bong overload. You know it's just wants to do well. You're blessed eater and I'm not unfortunately I don't know how to control myself and this feels like that kind of person you know it's like it has all the hallmarks of all the stuff that I care about as you said and I love all. This is the one that I struggled with the most. I remember seeing it at net flicks as offices. I went to like a this beautiful screening that they have at their offices and I was fired up. I was like Netflix. Gave Juno fifty million dollars to make a weird ass movie about the ecological crisis a superpig. This is GonNa Rule Tilda Swinton it. Paul Deneau Stephen Jake Jilin Hall really going for Giancarlo Esposito tons of my favorite actors and I don't know it just it. It actually does remind me of that sensation that we were describing earlier in the show which was just like. I just didn't feel complete now. That's not the case in this scenario. Because you know. Bong has great vision. This is what he wanted to make. But I don't know I just couldn't I recall on the on the show before the night I came home and found? Eileen in bed like just a mess crying at okra. Yeah. I don't have pets on people but not me I will say I watched it at home and and I rarely have that kind of emotional locked in response to movie that I watch for the first time on a streaming services home as we have talked about a great length and I was invested. I was really moved by it. And I and I like wept but I do kinda think in terms of it being a netflix movie that extra s and that over the top is kind of what you need to hold people's attention it worked for me. It's also like it's a really well made movie. What are you why it makes me mad? I paid myself. Put a fucking pen in it. We're not if I'm not okay. Thank you from angry too. Happy Tree on the SPREADSHEET. Go back and highlight it okay. I'll put get anything passed me. Okay this is. This is live. Podcasting folks triple frontier. Yes in in are we. The only people left on triple frontier island. I think Chris Ryan and Zach who sought with us. I think it's the four of us. Okay Andrew Dice Garo. I should say our culture at the ringer and who has made a lot of content. We made memes that literally. No one else glommed onto. This is a great movie. Go Watch this movie. What else are you doing when the next version of cinema comes along twenty five years from now a bunch of French intellectuals start analyzing the American films of the twenty tens? They're GONNA look back. Only at what the ringer did. To appreciate The Majesty of Triple Frontier. We will be the canary in the coal. Mine and I. I look forward to be memorialized than that way. It's going to be great for triple frontier in the hall of Fame Velvet. Bud saw this is not going in the hall of fame. Game Gilroy Or world horror mystery film. I kinda liked it. Honestly it's imperfect also features a very strange Jake Dylan hope performance. I'm sensing a trend here from net flicks Solid movie not my favorite Thirteenth.

"Right fresh from what? I'm calling rehearsal last week because I forgot to record. It's a brave new world unto absolutely marvelous comedian. And I'M GONNA say pop culture savant raise Callahan. Hello rely highlight yes. I am pop culture savant. That's what I let. I feel like I just have too much space in my brain taken up by stupid fats about celebrities and pop cul. I'd say it's just enough. Yes just enough and speaking of pop culture. I've had loads and loads of people sending me an article about the subject today claiming that he is now a cult leader who we talking about. A we talking about jared letter ACTA MUSICIAN. Supposedly a model Guy About town. And he's supposed cult. Jared Leto the Guy who looks. Like someone's bad drawing of Jake Dylan whole yeah. Basic never been a fan personally are a lot of people especially you know when I was young. Girls Light Oh my God jared Leto. But he's never really done it for me. Naar he's got the crappies and also I don't think he's got a sense of humor. He takes himself seriously at. Its ended all NAR so I had to go back and just familiarize myself with what he's done and I will say this is too good things about it one. He's very good ACTA. I'm GonNa give that as a songwriter. He's a fantastic actor and any gives a lot to charity super super rich but yeah because he's really rich. I mean it's like if I gave five dollars to charity right now. It'd probably because of how much how little money I haven't probably percentage wise more than he has given 'cause I'm not sure that jared leto has started a cult but will investigate that pile and the no pile but I think he's on the tipping point and it would just take something like a lead obita charity for to push him so on jared but I feel like he was just a typical like handsome actor guy for a while Bit of a hard like dieted. Everybody I think I didn't engaged to Cameron Diaz says yeah I white so who? She's dated Justin Timberlake and is it. She's still with one of the Madden's and Yeah. I remember that I saw Madden's alike. Baldwin's don't know where the edges are don't know how many there And who's going to be all right? Let's slam through your basic jared and then we'll get onto the cult stuff. I like that. He was born in Bossier City in Louisiana. 'cause like I feel like I could have been born in Bossia overseas. I I wasn't interview. Sorry to cut you off but this It was like an interview with him before he was famous that it was in some like E. entertainment or whatever. They're like an interview from the Archives. Jared LETO and he was getting interviewed outside like a nightclub but there are asking about like the popular dances of the time and he hasn't really strong accent. He's like Oh yeah you know Like the kind of dancing that they do. I didn't realize that was a Louisiana accent. But he's changed his accent on purpose over time and didn't you neely interview him. Yes that is correct It was probably one of my biggest of many professional cups that I've done Do top press record. Well I didn't even get to that point but The the pressing recalled thing. I can say that I did to Ruby rose in grant Smiley grand follies prominent Australian Day Jay and I did an interview with them and then I was like Oh my God and Ruby. Rose was like you didn't press record. Did you never be rise? I didn't anyway so 'cause I used to work in commercial radio so I used to like Interview lots of like bands and pastas and stuff. It was pretty cool and I write scripts for like a radio show But Yeah House. interview Thirty Seconds Tamaz. He's banned turing and then I dislike Ozzy my early twenties and then I just like posted on facebook about it. 'cause like back then we just saw that like Al personal facebook without personal facebook. We can say whatever we wanted on there and just be like released super unprofessional. You ended up basic era of facebook. Waiter slide I'm hungry and then you post that yet. Nothing funny about it just like just complaining. You know say the bitch your like are the ones that are like just do with some people right. Now don't talk about it and then everyone who kebe that kind of shape and you're right you're right. I don't want to talk about it. Just WanNa post about it and got some attention get attention so I posted on Was a cool job. That had now is like. Oh my God. I'm supposed to be interviewing like jared letter tomorrow but like I didn't even care like I was never into him like I. I don't even like jared ladder. Just posted that fired of that and then Auditor not long after my boss comes up in his like Yana Interviewing Jared leto. Tamar anymore and well because I forgot that the publicist that worked for the Record Label. That was looking off the giant Used to work at our company and my facebook friend. She at appreciate that end up being and then I got banned from doing interviews so and so you went straight by T. facebook and just went. Oh my God even more aleve. How much of an asshole? My boss is just annoying and I felt like some probably exciting anecdote like probably up but usually very exciting yet. You more exciting than I was going to interview him and I didn't. I think I learned to listen from that. But I'd like to blame jared leto somehow. I I never stopped right. So born in Bossier in Louisiana and Bossia and it's across the river city Shreveport have they share an all women's flat track Rolla Dhabi tame called the twin city knockers. I mean steady knocked his like I want so alike. I think I need to have a TESA sitting on. It should open thirty seconds to Mars shirts. Really feel proud of where he came from. Yes he was an Ala. A women's sport that's what he would do. That's right jared letter. Why are you dragging your feet on the old Rowley Dhabi? Yeah so he went to art. School like really cool. People like main did and like fine art painting. Fine him or me either but I did and I don't know I think Hedo that he really he. He gravitated towards the film school. Kind of thing. I can imagine him just like hanging out with these unique friends but like tolkien. A lot about all the amazing Jake's is GonNa work on but just getting started in like partying but not really that people would be like. He's amazing because he's attractive because he's yeah he's the hot guy. The Party Smoking Dariz token talking about on. Wa can have another one of my roles. Yeah of course you can have my loss via an always acting stuff so he started in my so called life. Playing Klay dines love interest. He was window. Narodni boyfriend in going to -rupt it which I just think I mean the star of The star of that movie is really the chickens under the bit. So pull pull jared. He's always a supporting act up. I feel like I just. I feel like L. interrupted his one of those movies. Detroit of the like Crazy Hawk. Go and then. She's like Oh. Isn't there a same wishy? Like CAUGHT SOLAR HAIR OFF. One of those is it. Engine DOTS with Angelina. Jolie's in that. Yeah she's Hot and light doing a whole like I'm a crazy hot gale and like oh I'm Gonna I'm crazy. Imminent cut all my hair off with like really blunt seizes but then looks really hot off towards the accident. Oh my God that was I was trying to. I was trying to act out now. I've got an adorable Picot. What's Woopsie I still up to make the hey? He kind of played a member in fight club. He was obliged blunt dude cold angel face which. I'm sure he loved. He played a heroin addict. Requiem for a dream with a really mucky on and he was an American psycho and he's got corn rows in panic room. I don't remember him from that at all so I looked up. Looked him up on the trial and oh he's never looked. Why Shaw Guard and that saying something else there would have been like. Oh my God that was again. Was that like when you could get away with a cultural appropriation. Imogene Lynn. Yeah for that. He won all sorts of awards for playing a Trans Woman in Dallas Buyers Club and then he won all sorts of people calling him decayed in suicides. squad when he played the and it was 'cause he does these hardcore method acting where he loses hates away or he I think to play Heron. He gave up sex for two months and donate so. That's like not giving up sex for a lot of people there like that. Yeah that's like a normal two months yeah but fit fit fit. I've gone full full methods like two months without sex like much. Like normal people like they. Maybe they can't get six for that. Make make giving up edgy. Might Toast for one day. That's a terrible. That's a really. It's a really good analogy. But even on this set of suicide squad. So hey he's idea of method acting was to everyone was supposed to call him. Mr J instead of jared because Jirka and hey played hilarious pranks on people like Sending costs members dead pigs. I know bathes use condoms and live rats. This why and there was. Isn't there a worse thing? The used condoms used condoms. Like what that's not that makes use. That's like a yeah. That's bullying and abuse. This is why actors get away with so much. She like they just all this. So eccentric is like nor that's psycho and no one should have to put up with used condoms being sent to them odds. Yeah I'm just sending you some of my chest up. Jeez because I'm just getting into character. Oh He's a dick yet his dig in. I feel like that says a lot about his personality I I just want to like I mean. He's like he's hooked up with a Lotta people as I said but think like Human Lindsay Lohan will on and off for awhile during a movie together about the that killed John Lennon and she was the love interest on white for that one so all that yeah he looked we'd maybe he wasn't having sex Lens Lindsay Lohan. Really it was. He was method. I'll yet he was just pretending to he was going back to to method. Acting will okay. So I don't know if you saw this dylan sprouse of the sprouse twins that will like childhood tain stocks that had like a Nickelodeon Linsey Lynsey these Dr Sar- He tweeted in late May twenty eighteen. He was like your jared letter now that you've slid into the dams of every female model age age. Twenty five what would you say your success right is and James Gone? You know who is no? He was like the director of like guardians of the galaxy. Okay off and He got cancelled because of saying heaps of problematic she'd on twitter up Yeah he responded with he sought at eighteen on.

"They hairstyles the stripes the close this is the eighties i lived in in every detail feels right. I like that. This isn't hype. Brady's like that is a complaint with stranger things that is hyper eighties like every top ten ten hit. That's all people listening to the eighties no no. It wasn't really like that like everyone's talking about stars like now there are other movies like this feels much more period accurate the burns the playground taunts. Are that specific ritchie the way he's like being incited arcade is better than being inside. Your mom feels does exactly like what your were proud of. If you could come up with that on the fifth grade playground you knew you would he would iced. It was also totally awesome. I find a little bit of interesting casting with finn wolford here. He just doesn't come across as the slick lick wisecracking he's supposed to be mouth right from goonies who has all the wisecracks he just does not come across that way in this he it comes off as as knowing as i found seth green and harry sitting in the last them just an annoying character and i guess that's how he's ridden. It is weird. If you have watch stranger stranger things 'cause very different character that he plays there so it's kind of jarring seen him making a bunch of your momma jokes jokes richest great. Are you saying he's not good. I find him annoying. I would not want to hang out with this kid. If i was a child i probably was partially this kid is a child as i tried to get these wisecracks off. I don't think i was as as quick witted. I just feel like there should be a little bit more confidence even if he is still a bullied loser than what we get from this character. I i just would expect to see a members only jacket perhaps but my favorite casting is of eddie jake dylan grazer. We talked about him earlier this this year in zam where he played the orphan freddy freeman here. You know he's smaller than everyone else. He's a good half ahead shorter than everyone else. He looks like the runt of the litter to be the supposedly sickly one. I really like him in this yeah. I think all these kids are great. Yeah i do like like i guess i like. The losers of the losers like eddie and stan are my favorite ones. I relate to the most in this film but talking about the acting i it's great all around round agreed. I looked up these kids some of them. I knew like jack dillon grazer and wolford but some of them really haven't worked much at all before the casting casting of this is sublime and you have to give machete some of the props to because if a kid is good onscreen. I tend to wanna sector director. They got that performance performance because children just naturally aren't i mean i think kids are better today because they're more. They're put on camera earlier in their life. They've learned they've trained to do southeast and such so maybe you can be a more skilled actor at a young age but you really do need that help of good director. That's watching you and getting your best take jake and he's getting great takes from. Everybody and scars guard said that like after some of the performances the kid would really scared onscreen as skarsgard be like. Are you okay hey did. I hurt you and the kids like oh. I love what you're doing here. Man you're bringing great energy. I just really love and what you're doing. It's like so hollywood but it's like they're playing playing two roles. They're playing the role of normal eighties kid on screen the one that you helped cut they're playing the role of a hollywood bigshot actor the other thing that they've done though oh and they just didn't have time in the t._v. Movies they've given them through lines. They given them full story. Lines bill will be defined by what happened to georgie the whole reason. He's in there hanging out in the barons. This time is because he has set up this elaborate. He took his hamster tubes and his dad's blueprints and he did this. This whole science experiment about we're georgie would have ended up if he went down the drain where the neighbor saw him and he's figured out like i can find him and if i explore the barons that's why it's the focus of their summer yeah i asked why did they build.

It's pretty disrespectful and I feel like the FEM- of these outings lake part of the <hes>. I guess it's not really a divorce but part of the break-up rollout that's been happening. Yes which they're doing a great job of making it seem I'm like it's amicable. I have no idea if it is but congratulations calling the Paparazzi to take photos at various location exactly and there was a some like basically press release regulation by the way I have no knowledge I just that's my interpretation addition of photographs that are somewhat invasive. It seems like a fair reading okay so they also have announced that. They're both going to primarily live in New York and raise their daughter. They're good and I get. I get like a big. I'm trying to be like sort of cultured turn and Lake Blend into the city and make my life here. I guess Laura Dern is actually like more of an L. A. If you listen a couple of weeks ago you heard Elissa Bresnahan <unk> do mystery bag and you heard her alleged that a cat instagram belonged to Jake Jalen on hall and it doesn't I think we fully got confirmation that via third party of someone else commenting being like oh I love your cat and someone being like yes. Jason Hall commenting on the Third Party instagram ing like your cat is Great. Jake Gyllenhaal is interacted with the cat. jae-chul possibly knows the cat. It's not Jake Joan House cat so sad to me as a fellow cat on that like that's breaking news to you you listen to that whole segment and then you looked at the instagram with no photographic evidence and then you were like Oh. It's taste wishful thinking I wanted to believe. It's a cute cat okay. I you know those are like even if it was for promo like I was willing to believe that it was a purely like cynical exercise not the actual cat ownership at the social promotion the cat ownership but I I was willing to be like okay. This is just a racist profile for marvel. I wasn't really to go the extra mile and be like totally fair. We just had a conversation about checking your sources Al-Said. "Can you still get butterflies from crush is every relationship? Not crush worthy. But as every relationship, regardless of how good it is not good enough to prevent against a crush, because it crushes so excited. There's no such thing as love because every relationship could be broken up by Scarlett Johansson, Jake Jilin hall, those two people. Yeah. Sure. Just like like yeah, yes it will game show. So it's like, okay, I'm I wanna test my relationship with someone. So, like I love my girlfriend. Let's see how strong our relationship is. So then the game show. Jake Jilin all hits on her at a coffee shop. Right. They have an amazing conversation. He says this is nuts. But can I take you out to coffee? Can I go on a daily with you? And it sort of tests are random, she's, she says. No, then I know she is truly the one and Jake Jilin hall can marry us. And she says, yes, I emerged from a one way mirror, and I break up with, and if she says, no, then Jake Dylan hall says good. I'm more deigned and I'm going to conduct your marriage now. Out that you are a guy that put in game two to have your has to buy Jason hall, she would probably break up with you or at least not wanna marry you. Ends with her going on a real date. With Jake Jilin all that's cool. It's it's not a it's not a game show. It's a movie idea of trademark us and then the, the female, the male equivalent is scarlet Johanns. Right. Do you remember our first movie idea all dogs, go to Kevin? I feel like we could talk about it because it was bad. Nobody would ever make. Yeah. We talked about it on. All dogs, go to Kevin maybe. So you can you can give us a quick elevator pitch. If you want our agents, asked us to come up with a movie pitch, so they send us out on general meetings, and we went back with all dogs, go to Kevin. It was a rom com about a guy named Kevin whose job, it was to kill dogs and make it look like an accident when when people laid winter data dog down, but didn't couldn't euthanized time. Yeah, it's like if you grew up with a dog that was annoying. You couldn't it's the equivalent of saying, oh, he moved to a farm. Upstate. Right. Want to get rid of the dog. So you hire Kevin to kill the dog that way. You're not the bad guy in front of your kids. Yes. Exactly. You didn't take the dog to the vet to put it down Kevin, Kevin came and, and killed the dog dog assassin. Yeah. It's like in most movies. You wanna save the cat moment, a moment where our hero saves a cat, and to make him like irredeemably a hero in the story. I he's just a full on bat. This is a kill the dog moment, will he's. But all of these dogs were like they need you know, it's a mercy sometimes to kill a dog. Yeah. Like they're sick in the dad did wanna pay for surgery. Will that's that. I mean, no spoilers. You've got to pay for the surgery. And Kevin will do that. Sometimes I will kill the dog. I really feel like I'm gonna get added to death here. So just don't do that. But just know we didn't end up going through with the movie. But no, I have another opinion sometimes like when I, I've been like passively interested in looking in adopting dog passively interested in looking at. So you're nice to fully. And I'm looking I am looking passively interested in adopting. So I'll like look on pet finder. I'll send links to my wife. I'll talk about maybe going to a meet up where we adopt a dog. But then I don't go, why. Because I nervous about the actual commitment, but I feel like sometimes I see on these like pet finder things like this dog is really good. But it needs medicine five times a day, and it has to like walk around on these wheels thing, like at a certain point are like wire..

But until McGuire stopped aging you got fat a little bit. And then he is a child way. Yeah. But then jaws is as like a fine wine, and he got better at acting like he was always a good actor. But I think he's gotten better roles, and he's I know he's in his suit. But yeah, there was the whole thing where Spiderman to McGuire like almost or he did break his back doing that one stunt and they were going to replace him with Jake Dylan hall to see you guys just in the middle of the movie with. The trailer thriller analysis that scene where they're in the bar together. Spiderman is in the black the black Spiderman war suit, there's three or four suits. And and mysterious is in there as well without his helmet. You watched later on in the trailer. They're fighting a fire man next to a ferris wheel that same ferris wheel. Appears when spider man is in Spiderman war suit, which means that sequence probably happens not towards the end of the movie like we think it does because it's a big bad guy but more towards beginning where series really trying to gain his trust. Is there like a goatman behind them to bars Goldman's behind? Yeah. Can we look at it for a second brand after the waves? Hang on one moment. The the other thing I want to they're going to have to ignore this at some point. Or maybe they'll just 'cause over like man, didn't it sucked. How we all got snapped. And then before that I can five years. No, no, the them in the bars after this. After this. And it's before it. There is a goat. Yeah. No this man's behind. But my thing is if what I think the plot is is true. What where we think? Mysterious a good guy. Actual bayton. Switch is bad guy. I hope that's not the case. But if that is the case, I wish they had done it in a different way where they had introduced a Spiderman ally and everyone's all excited because Spiderman was gonna be teaming up with a with a European or UK or some sort of based allies. Oh, shit spider-man's teaming up with. I don't know. I'd have to Google who. Captain britain. Yeah. Oh, and his sister Cilacap, but but like it was some sort of team up like that. And you're oh, cool. And then halfway through the movie it's revealed knows mysterious and then you get two for It would have have been been the. like oh shit. They cast Jake Jilin hall as whatever this character. But it's like, no he's actually mysterious intimate credits. This Jake Jalen hall, and it says the one character name, and then a slash any other here. And you're like, whoa. Jank suit looks really fucking win looks great sign for a really corny comic book. Looking thing. Looks red come down for. Yeah. I I think before and game I was less sold on this movie. And now the end games over and that their knowledge, and it's all fitting in I'm more interested in sort of the the lie that got me into captain marvel, Mike. Oh, wow. We got a lot of things to talk about blazing five and forty minutes by strongest blazing five I think in weeks this will cap our regular season blazing five. And so it's interesting. There's about four games this weekend that are huge in my lifetime. I and I'm sure maybe there was a year. I don't remember a year. We're in week sixteen. We have we have this many games that matter. I mean, Kansas City at Seattle could change the entire. AFC picture Baltimore at the chargers. A Pittsburgh goes to New Orleans is a massive game the colts play the giants should win. And if they do they could see some a playoff spot here looks like they have a chance to make the playoffs after a horrible start. So pittsburgh. Kind of rebooted last week played very well beat New England goes to New Orleans. Cam Jordan's a great player for the saints. And he was asked about Big Ben this week. And I don't think he took a shot at him. I think camps very outspoken guy knowledgeable guy funny guy, and he gets into a sparring thing about Big Ben with a reporter here. It is. Quarterback who might go to the hall of fame. You voted in fact. Office burden. So. In this air. You put them at five this era. Drew, Tom Aron Peyton Manning. He's not. I don't even count him in this this era. He tire two years ago. Now is most of Rothlisberger career you're saying he's he's he's better than Philip rivers right now. Now create west I don't see put he lied before been. Okay. Okay. But there's a moment in that. When he's talking about eras, and there's confusion about eras first of all quarterbacks are playing longer. So they're moving into different eras. Tom Brady is really screwed the irritate Cup. He scooted up thinking about this Tom Brady and Russell Wilson are now considered in the same era. Russell Wilson was drafted twelve years later than Tom Tom is older than the Houston. Texans. When Tom on his first Super Bowl, the Seahawks were in the AFC. The Zona cardinals were in the NFC east and Tampa Bay was in something called the NFC central that doesn't even exist anymore. Is that Brady screwed up all of this because he's played so long he faith. He won a Super Bowl. Kurt warner. Kurt Warner is already in the hall of fame and has been broadcasting five years after that. Donovan McNabb Jake. Delo how long Jake Dylan banana the league minimum a Super Bowl. There's literally we're on the third Tom Brady era. There was the first Tom Brady era. He was winning Super Bowls. But the defense was doing a lot of the heavy lifting the Steelers he was beating Kordell Stewart and the Steelers to get their Big Ben wasn't even around yet. Then there's the second second big Tom Brady era Peyton and he in their prime, his contemporaries or an older farve an older Carson Palmer Peyton Manning. Ally is blossoming into something and he's winning Super Bowls. And he's the reason why they're winning Super Bowls. That's the second Tom Brady era. The third is forty forty one year old Tom where he's now facing the kids to Shawn Watson Carson Wentz. Russell wilson. Andrew luck. Matty, Ryan he's trying to win one more super. Bowl without any weapons. He doesn't have any weapons. I mean Brady has messed. Now. Do I think Big Ben is whatever in his era is do I think big Ben's a hall of Famer? Yes, do I think he's a more of a hall of Famer than Philip rivers? Yes. Do I think he's better than ally? Manning, not even close. Yes. But when you start talking about eras, it used to be very very simple. Oh bradshaw. Played in the seventies. And Aikman was playing know and ninety this guy in the eighties. You guys realized Tom Brady is still got two to three years left. He's gonna play twenty one years. There are guys that that were literally aged with Tom retired. "That's kind of what it reminds me of when I see the press release again, apple their television department, just telling shifts gives the best press releases for that morning show. With Jennifer Reese, Witherspoon, we have the show supposedly it's gonna run PC's. About a book, except it's not really about the books a nonfiction book about NBC during the last dramatic kerfluffle involving the today show. So it's not really that is just sort of inspired by that world is already switched creator show runners once despite not having put anything on camera Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston committed to seasons where each being paid a million dollars each and then for the for the third lead. Why not get Steve Carell toys just interest fine money in press releases? I don't know we constantly on this podcast marvel in wonder at the stuff, I eat honestly has no effect on the consumer except when they see it in think it's good or not or it has an effect on the consumer. If that the financial disparity between an apple who can just throw all the money. These people in not just in front of the camera. But potentially behind the camera down the line to if that has a negative effect on lower budgeted shows, lower budgeted networks people love, I I have no idea as far as I can tell people just watch. The Chicago shows on NBC, I really increasingly feels like we're talking about two completely separate realities. Yeah. I guess you're right. We talk a lot about electoral property on the shown fact, it's basically like a national pastime for us. But for the most part will referring to and we talk about that is people making television movies out of previously made television movies board games video games, obviously novels, obviously comic books, huge huge resource, a nomi- remakes movies or TV shows about albums, and that's why I think I was so surprised at interested to see that Luca guate- Nino was talking about making his next movie to base it off of Bob Dylan's blood on the tracks. This sounds incredible. Because he's a great director. It sounds like he wants Richard gravity's who wrote the hand the candelabra and the Fisher king to write the screenplay. It's obviously an incredibly tormented rich. Interesting involving album about the dissolving of a romantic relationship, and it could be just you know, it could be a dynamite movie. But I was wondering whether or not albums are the new comic books, man. Can we think of some albums that you would wanna see made into movies? First of all, my first reaction to this is rolling my eyes, very hard. Because because you're like why not make John Wesley Harding into a movie. Why is it always Dylan? I mean, the last one that there was the I'm not there movie. Right. The time Hain. Yeah. I'm not talking about actors play, but I'm not talking about biographical films. I'm talking about like basing it specifically off of an album, but one is that me like they're going to act out the lyrics or this inspired by Luca thinks the album Celica Jews bad that he can't put Boba fett in his television show. Honestly, listen, I just told you that I could. And now I feel like I will please explain this. What about I have some Phobos fed stars in the blood on the tracks movie? How about that? Getting warmer. Is is there part for Django fat or is that in the expanded universe than after the credits? That's the expanded Dylan universe. That's Jake Dylan shows up in the wallflowers are actually in the same universe. Chris. Just explain what you mean by a movie inspired by album. Okay. So clearly you could set it during the time of the album itself. You're drawing from itsy medically. You can have all sorts of Easter eggs for the lyrics. You could have the album itself. Be the soundtrack. I'm gonna let Luca and Richard Legrand. Nays decide all this stuff. I'm just saying that there is if you say, hey, here's a movie, it's called sergeant Pepper's people probably be like, what's that movie about you know, what I mean? Like, they'll be like they'll be interested in it. Actually, it started the BG's, and it was terrible. I'm not. Yeah. I know I'm saying we're trying to come up with the there's a movie about a guy named sergeant pepper, and he seems like a sad sergeant. And he's like when I'm sixty four he's singing about that stuff..

I like that he plays perhaps in twenty the strongest black father. And he's got a beard. How do you go to bed like all of his chunky cardigan? Yes. I haven't felt feelings. I'll let you know looking tenderly kisses mixed race child. My head. I was like, you know, what if Chris, and I had to bet he would kiss that child just to send. I'm. For me. That's how low the bar underground this looks as though he's no scared of black people, and you know, what that's a reward thing. But also, I'm just gonna like it'll do it's a rough year that's some real shit because of Jake Dylan hall right Calvin Klein, right where he's playing the father of a mixed race child. All I will say is it's affected. Trapped. Dangerous to. We bring you home, dad. So. Yeah. So he's on my list. Now, he's on my list of struck father. It's a kindness sweetness towards black women and black children laying in that you don't ever as and you don't try to act like Ono if I touch you. I'm going to burn hill or something, you know, even though this is acting acting. You know, there was you can feel some feeling. Yeah. Yeah. I have nothing to basis on. But I feel like, you know, listen correspond also won one over twelve years, a slave one. And this veterans crying in the audience shock. I was like, you know, what this mine is trying to. I would not be surprised that he has had, you know, some significant partners who are of color, and then we just don't know about it because he's very private. He is. And we love that. But I I wouldn't be surprised either. I just feel that you know. Well, I wouldn't have to explain to Chris pine y cooking oil follows me everywhere. I go he just kind of like being tried to pick up a job..

"And we're saying that she here, I'll finish a quote. She says. I feel like the reason I get so emotional. Growing up what? Okay. She says, I feel like the reason I get so emotional growing up watching TV. I never saw somebody on TV that I could identify with let alone a superhero row said though, through a cracking voice. I have always had this saying, I mean, not me Oscar while which is yourself because everyone else is taken. So I always live by that motto. And the second motto when I came to the industry was be the person that you needed when you were younger, I feel like one motto led to another and then goes on to say that. Oh. Sorry, place. It goes on to say a Sifi notes, Rose's final tweet before shutting down her Twitter saw her lament. The fact that she that people were saying she can't play lesbian character because she is not a lesbian rose, however, has identified as a lesbian since she was a child. Now for those of you don't know, ruby rose. She I got like her claim to fame from oranges, new black, and she was like a character on at show John wick to. And a few other things you've seen John with two. Yeah, she's the female assassin that the deaf one that's ruby rose. Yes, that's much. Yeah. That's going to be bad woman on done. She she, she is a lesbian. It has identified as such for quite some time, but people were fucking stupid. So is she, she says, we're on earth. Did ruby is not a lesbian, therefore she can't be bat woman come from has to be the funniest. Most ridiculous thing I've ever read. I came out at twelve and for the past five years had to deal with, she's to gay. How'd y'all flip it like that? I didn't change. She reportedly tweeted prior to deleting her account. The star continues to have her Instagram account open, but has limited commenting to people she follows. So unfortunately, ruby rose has fallen into a long line of people like Millie, Bobby Brown, and Kelly, Marie, TRAN and all these other women who have been harassed by people on social media for playing a fictional character and they don't like whatever. I thought the whole point of acting was to act to pretend to be this other character. You know, they gave heath ledger and Jake Dylan. Oh shit. When Brokeback mountain came out, how can you play a gay guy in you're not gay. Oh, and you must be look a good actor and actress does their research..

"Thanks but no, this one, this is the one row was like, I wanted to find the writer of this article in whoop his ass for this. No. This motherfucker put up Aaron, Taylor Johnson, the do from the kick ass movies and God Zillah and who played on quicksilver in age of Altron. No. Hey, now now to the now? No. No, no. I agree. But earlier in the article, there was a mention of possibly, Jake Dylan hall year. Jake Dylan the halls trying to get into Batman since the Nolan. Now j. Chilin hall is playing in the new Spiderman as a villain. And in the article is says, because Jake Dylan hall is coming into the spider far from home Spiderman far from home. There is very little chance that he is going to crossover into Warner Brothers and play, Batman. If he's already a part of some part of the marvel universe, you might as well throw Aaron Taylor Johnson into the same thing because there are no way his dead doesn't matter. He's already played in a marvel movie government day. That means absolutely nothing because watch Laurence Fishburne here he white man's do and now he's an aiming. All right. You got me there. Me and Ryan Reynolds made the switch too. So, and I mean, hell. I don't see him as hand though. No, no, kick ass. No, curly hair some plain. Taking a little Jew for the fuck on. Oh, man. Nobody wanna see obituary playing. No hell no, he was now we're part of the God Zillah movie. I mean, besides the fact that God's barely and fucking movie and they kill Bryan Cranston within the first ten minutes. Other than knows two things. He was the worst part of that movie. No, I don't think he's necessarily a bad actor, but Batman. Get the fuck outta here I have an issue with the next one who's an extra Sam Kathleen, or who is he? Okay, he played. He's a British actor and he played in. That me before you movie where he was like paralyzed from the waist down and he fell in love with the girl with the Bumblebee the stockings? Nope, never seen it. It's a girly flick. That's all he's ever played. It. He was in hunger games. He was him, then washes you well. Never mind for our listeners. He was. In. It has kind of a great performance in. It's not a bad movie. It's very him. Oh, end of watch. End of watch with Jake Dylan hall. Yes, Michael pain, a- an intrinsic. Yeah. And what movie of David heirs have we. She wants to discuss bright writer and brightest, right? Brighter number four. These are some movies who. Number four is, is the rare. This movie stars, a really famous director, and it's the rare movie. He's with the curve trouble with the curve, Clint Eastwood baseball pitching scout moving. Yes, he's blind, his blinds going blind. It doesn't want to know. So he has his daughter go with him and she's learning how to scout Amy Adams, John good. This is a film that came out in theaters, and I think it was his main first ADD directed it, but I've heard that you over. Interesting. Okay. It's still with the current. I believe it's the last movie he acted, but now he's about. Mule make America great. Again. Doing a ninety year old drug meal movie that he's directing and starring in that gives me mixed feelings. Kokin my buns kinda like kind of like that. Actually, Donald Trump. I don't know if he likes Trump view, isn't he kind of Trump's kind of a bad guy put? Maybe we need a bad guy. That's kind of his take right now. I don't know maybe bomb, and then he turned into a share. America's run by sourcerer 's number five. Is a film that was like one of those sat on the shelf for a long time, and then it's star got super famous, so it kinda got dumped, oh, fuck it has a dupe. It name. I know it's the, it's the Jennifer, Lawrence horror movie. It's called the house at the end of the streets. Okay. Which made thirty one million dollars which is, and that was literally just off. They were like, Jennifer, Lawrence is famous. Now we got this movie house at the end of some street or something. Sure. September release it. Okay. So often when we play this, I'm like, who are these people that go to see these move? Yeah, it's true that people were just like, well, gotta see something might as well see what the house the end of the street. Here's at the end of the stress would it's like not good. I think it's bad house. It's a dead end. Don't go three million people on. Here's the repeater. Here's the craziest thing about this number six, opening this weekend pitch. Perfect cravings to five million dollars. Now it's like semi limited release. Hundred, not even three hundred and thirty features like weird, but like what's that about? They were like, yeah, let's platform this like it's nineteen eighty-two whatever it worst eventually anyway. So that's hotel. Transylvania one. You're in this movie, love it. Big fan. I watch it a lot. I do watch it first one. The first one a lot. I hadn't seen, blah, Blah, blah. blah, blah. I have much to against since it came out, which I enjoyed. But I think is a total gentlemen, six. I mean, I think I'm basically kind of a gentleman six and all them, but like that's to me, that's a positive one. I just think the actual, the actual, I think it's got a sweeter script. I think it's got tighter story, and I think the craft is at its highest in the first one. Okay. All right. Now, listen. Now you're saying, okay, hotel Transylvania two which came out and September twenty fifteen same weekend..
