"To kind of make some of those systems make sense to a wider range of people, but yeah, it's that there's that feeling of like I am standing at the edge of a building and I have the choke slam and I am going to grab this button and then choke slam someone off the building and just fly down. And just leave a big crater in the ground and all that sort of stuff like that's the thing about this game. And you're like, okay, when all that stuff lines up, you get just ridiculous moments that are just like, I want to watch that over and over again because of how bad I fuck that guy up. Is there much of the environment? You said you could climb buildings and stuff. Is there any other environmental stuff like can you pick up cars or jump on them or pick up lampposts? So cars bounce cars bounce when you jump on them, like you can use them like trampolines, which is then you can try to line up an elbow drop off of a car bounce. And street signs and stuff like that, you can pick up garbage cans. You can pick up and you can Irish whip people into buildings and that sort of stuff. Nice. I saw a video where somebody looked like they chained jumps and got like super, super, super high, or something, is that a thing? Yeah. Yeah, if you bounce, you can go from car to car to there's like Sonic the Hedgehog looking bumpers in the world too that'll launch it different directions. And so yeah, I saw someone that had like, I think they had landed their super on a car and so it bounced them up again and then they just kind of bounced like four times or something. Yeah, there's some crazy, some crazy, crazy stuff in there. And you know, it's about the ring gets smaller, you stay in the ring, you fight last man standing type thing. What do you get at the end? Did they have a name for the thing? I won a few months. I've won a few of them. Not during this most recent test, but I don't know. I don't know. Well, the chicken is like you use chicken to just recover health. Like you just walk around with final fight, big meats, and putting that right in your butt. Is there like a phone booths you can punch to get apples in turkeys? No, nothing. They're vending machines. I think that stuff will come out. But yeah, you do have an inventory and there's like a upgrade system in game, but you drinking like nutrition powders or whatever for hours and body. They have sterile, you basically, yeah. I mean, yes, some of these people worked on blitz the league. So, oh my God. Yeah, I need to I need to approach those guys about it. Like just say we're doing a documentary on rumble verse, but actually just do one up blitz the league because that's the only talk about guarantee that those they have stories about working out what's the league and I'm sure that they would be interested in telling you a lot about what's the league. It's my favorite football game of all time. It's just terrific. Cool. Yeah. Yeah, those are those are cool fucking games. Yeah, but it has that kind of like the art style reminds me like I'm ready to rub boxing and that kind of cartoony sort of way. And there's just like little bits of like that old midway vibe to this thing in a way that games kind of don't have so much of anymore. So it's yeah, I don't know. It's neat. Check it out when it sounds February. The forgotten city, I have heard some really amazing things about the forgotten city, Danny, tell me more about it. Yeah, I'm conscious of, yeah, it's one of these games that kind of I feel like as having a second conversation now as we're game of the year clean up. You know it's one of those games that you can kind of complete in 5 or 6 hours. So a lot of people are getting around to it. I'm conscious of the fact that I'm also shilling we just put up a documentary about it this week. So no clip. So the reason I was playing it this weekend, I didn't actually produce the DACA was Jake decker, our old colleague from GameSpot. He actually works the video producer for obsidian now, but they were very kind and let him work on this thing for us on weekends. But the forgotten city is it's basically I won't get too much into the backstory on it, but it was a Skyrim march back in like 2016, I think it was and developed by a guy in Australia who had never made a game before. He just kind of was a lawyer, actually, and he wanted to be just doing this in his spare time. And basically what a bunch of writers awards, he wanted to write a book, but he did this instead. He wanted to make a game, but he couldn't write on a game before he started one. So he just kind of threw this mod together. But yeah, it ended up winning a bunch of writers girls awards and stuff like that. And then eventually he decided to turn it into a full game. So this game, I think there was still only three in the core team, him like one guy who did all the rendering. It's an Unreal Engine game. It looks terrific. And then a handful of other contributors like as well. But the game basically takes place in a and I won't boil anything. In the first opening, you basically learn that you are transported to a city, which is kind of a Roman era city. So transported back in time to this place where there are a bunch of characters and essentially they live under a rule called the golden rule, which means that if anyone in this society sins, then they will all die. And you are basically brought in your summons by the magistrate here, open the time portal.

"Washington. Washington day Miranda's name. I think as a candidate, I think Joe Moorehead, Jane or Val, I think there's some support for Matt Campbell and maybe some support for Justin Wilcox. Let's talk about Matt Hamill for a second. You know, I feel like for two years he's been the guy who is so respected, he's basically just gonna pick his spot and he's gonna be picky, et cetera. They have not had a great season this year. It's still a decent season by Iowa state historical standards, but after what they did last year and everybody is coming back. We certainly thought they would be better than 7 and four right now. No, they're 6 and 5, 6, 5 6 and 5 with TCU. Now they're one win, was actually a top ten win over your Oklahoma state cowboys. But there's been a bunch of close losses lost at Oklahoma by 7, lost at Texas tech on that 62 yard field lost at West Virginia by 7, lost at Baylor by two. And lost to Iowa at home. Yeah, it feels to me like they kind of hit their ceiling last year. You know, Brock purdy has not necessarily gotten better as a quarterback. Reese hall is really good. The defense is a very veteran defense before whatever reason has not risen to that level this year. And for all those reasons, I feel like, well, for that was reasons in another really big one, which is the changes to the big 12. I feel like this is his time to move. And so it's just, you know, if you were a betting man right now, if you said, okay, Matt was gonna be at a different school next year, which school would you guess it is? I think he's in play at both USC and Washington. Both of those make a lot of sense. And he frankly, that could be wrong, seems like kind of guy who might choose Washington over U.S.. Yeah, he does, actually. I think I wonder that, too. I don't have a good answer for that. I think would you be more surprised by Matt Campbell's the coach of USC next year? Matt Campbell was the coach of Iowa state next year. Which would I be surprised out of Matt Campbell is still at the coach at Iowa state, or he's someplace else. I would bet the field. Yeah, I would too. Unless people have just totally lost interest in him. It seems like all this is the moment to move to make that move. So the only thing the only thing, and I'm not saying this is the only thing that would make me wonder why he might stay. If you're a coach who has for whatever reason, as Nebraska as you're dream job, you might want to stay one more year. Do you think back Campbell has Nebraska as his dream? I'm not saying that, but I'm just like, 'cause otherwise, you're gonna have so many opportunities. There is simply not enough quality or proven coaches to fill most of these jobs. Right. Yeah, I think this is the market is very much tilted this year toward the Luke fickle the Matt Campbell's. They may have their pick of multiple schools. So if he doesn't make that move now, and let's say, let's say he doesn't make that move now. He comes back next year and they go 7 and 5 again. And now there's not all these big name schools open. Maybe Nebraska is, but you can't really count on that. So I think it would be, this is his window, so I guess what I'm saying. Virginia tech. I would have thought it's battle between billing and I think Jamie chadwell Marcus Freeman. You know how I feel about chadwell? I know. You're going to Blacksburg to have those chocolate chip cookies or whatever they are that Andy Andy was not a point. Let me ask you, you know, I read Annie has a great story about chadwell and how they've been doing these postgame parties back since when he was in division two. If they had lost their game the other day, and I don't even remember who they played. What would they have done with Joey chestnut and all those pizzas? The pieces would just go to waste. Maybe they would have said, look, Joey, we know you have a voracious appetite. You better sit here and eat them all because you wouldn't drink. Dig in. Eat till your heart's discontent. Do we think TCU sunny dykes is basically a done deal? I do. Yeah, I do too. I think by the way, that's another one where we just talked about how realignment the negative repercussions may affect a Matt Campbell's decision. I think once SMU got left out of the group that moved to the big 12. And the conference that they're in the AAC was not able to really upgrade if anything downgrade. If you're somebody that can get the chance to go to a power 5 school you're going to do it. So kind of going to the other side of the iron skillet. Interesting. How do you think he would do there? I think he would do terrific there. I mean, he's good in the state of Texas. I think he knows what that place is about, because he did spend time on Gary Patterson's staff. I think that's an honestly that's an easy one. I'd be surprised if he didn't do really, really well, because he's a good offensive coach. I think he's shown. He's a good leader, especially when he's very comfortable. And I think he's very comfortable there. Washington state. I think they keep Jake decker Jake decker. Jake dickert as their he's the acting head coach now. I know he's impressed the people inside the inside the university with a lot of things he's done how the teams responded, how he's handled things. My guess is he will end up keeping the job. Yeah, when Nick a lot of sense, and especially if they win the Apple cup this week, I think Washington state fans frankly would welcome it. So that would at least be one less domino out there. All right, jobs that could come open after this weekend, obviously the first one that comes up to mind is Miami. Do you expect it to open? And if so, who are they going to get? Or try to I suspect it probably will come open..

"Yeah? Yeah, and you got to recruit at a super high level. Look, Dan Mullen was able to compete with Hugh freeze for a couple of big, big time guys. You know, in the state of Mississippi, obviously Jeffrey Simmons was one Chris Jones. I mean, I'm sure there was others, you know, that they got there, but just consistently to get top hundred players, he just couldn't close. I don't want to say it's like the clay halton thing where you talk to people and they're like, yeah, the head coach needs to be a lot more of a factor on it, and that just did not get it done. I mean, well, firing your coach is the easy part, hiring a new one is the hard part. And this, what a market, you know, you mentioned Virginia tech, Washington, I think, is a pretty good job. You know, we think possibly will come open. That's probably more of a West Coast centric job. One thing I think might happen, I think the Washington state job, I think they may have found their head coach in Jake decker, the interim the acting head coach. He's done a really good job there. I know they have been impressed with him. That might, again, I'm not going to report it that it's a done deal. I think the more time passes, it's like, yeah, maybe we should keep this guy. You know, Washington state, it didn't even occur to me until Oregon lost last night that this was a possibility. There are still a scenario where Washington state goes to the factual title game. There are 6 and 5, but they go to the PAC 12 title game. If they beat Washington and Oregon loses to Oregon state. That would be a very, that would be a very PAC 12 thing to have a 7 and 5 team that fired its coach halfway through the season due to a COVID vaccine mandate playing for the conference championship. I think on Wednesday's show, which is right before Thanksgiving, and usually all hell breaks loose in the coaching market the Sunday after Thanksgiving. So I think on Wednesday show, we might go school by school in terms of schools, they either have openings or we think we'll have openings. And check in and see where we think they are on the coaching carousel. You should also send your emails to the audible pod at Gmail dot com. I suppose we may also have to react to if there's some unexpected development in the playoff rankings Tuesday night. I'm sure Gary barter will say something that will infuriate you Bruce. And we'll have to have to acknowledge that on Wednesday morning. So we'll be a lot to get that time of year. This is when it all converges. There will be a lot to talk about this week. And certainly as we get into Ohio State, Michigan and Oklahoma Oklahoma state and some other big games next weekend. We'll see you next time..

"Eddie yo junior kind of funny was on the show khalif adams who spun on me Jake decker from gamespot same leverage. Who is the games radar editor in chief to name a few and i have a ton others that were ready to come on. I just haven't gotten around to getting to the episodes. And maybe i will. It was great and i wish i had infinite time to just basically my life doing nothing but making podcasts about movie and video games and then probably to for that. I'd be a happy camper chance to listen to you guys podcast and everything and i. I think that was the thing that was that was most attractive. To me was the fact that it's not necessarily about the technical aspects of film but it was more about how you how it made you feel and that's something that always resonates with me not only on the on movies but also with video games. I don't like i can get around some of the technical issues for me. It's about how it made me feel what kind of experience i had in that you know what kind of journey and and how the journey was. I think this is a fantastic idea. I love that. I gotta go back and check out more of your guys Episodes because there's i mean there's so many fantastic films and i love the perspective of. "Everything. Stu do it yeah probably best not to watch the anime mostly because the rules there don't apply to anything in the actual game so when i first started trying to play the game in like grade school. I get yelled at because you're playing it wrong. Jade you can't do that is dark magician anyway. I didn't realize how how much had been added to the core gameplay of yu-gi-oh i think when i taper off of playing it because i think i was always playing tournament level for a hot second noah dark time in my life but i think tapered off when the anime had hit. It may be that boarding school. I know i'm talking about accent. I know you're at and since then they've changed a crap ton of the terminology so like a lot of the stuff that was used to seeing now phrase something else and i tried getting to the mobile game it's like dueling or something thing and they're the only have three slots for monsters and spell cards as opposed to the five that was used to so. I was super thrown off there and yeah like this game so far. It's a port of a pc game so it's still kind of old but it's still has the current master rules. I think we're up to four now. Yes yes rule four wear now. There's links summoning and link monsters. They don't have any star levels so you have to. It's similar to the people listening at home. It's similar ritual summoning right in yu-gi-oh where you have to use a spell card to summit whatever whatever <hes> but you have to put your cards into a weird formation to get the monster out and it's just all types of batch it and saying but the neat part that i've dipped into that you can replay the more notable scenes from the anime with these specific deck that that character used so you can relive when yu-gi-oh oh had beat maximilian pegos you know just and he was cheating with the millennium i and then like the toontown deck s toontown. The toontown doc was really broken and they needed to fix that. They did something else. My younger brother has got all of the egyptian. God cards offensive which is just there's one character code exurbia and yu-gi-oh law when you play him you play his body parts left arm of exhau- the left leg body head and if you can get a deck where you summon all of all the bits of exotic you you automatically win. Oh you win. It's like you know parts of this unkillable. God <hes> and the matches okay yeah which is a really cool thing but like everyone loves those cards so my brother's got this weird like shrine style thing where he's collect. There's a bunch of god cards right and he's got all the parts of anxiety or the other god cards and it's like his nest egg like i wanna get rich of this. I'm like nobody should actually get a job and what i had to do is to get a job yeah. Everyone realizes that they can't get rich of yu-gi-oh eventually. We just like phantom menace fingers. A bunch of star worship totally pay for college day right any babies nice yeah card games yeah. It's happening now. People are you talking about cod games with ben djenka on against what team a two and now is jake decker. Actually i was talking about. I was talking to ben janko about triple triad because he was playing final fantasy and talking about getting in front of fancy nine and then i was talking to jake aac about <hes> whether cyberpunk how some of gwent version shirley and yeah kind of because we just pull up a story on games <hes> where from games come without talking about their now because when i came out and they were doing interviews like no they would not have single mirror and then today they will like we're evaluating multiplayer <hes> which makes me think a and there was recently there were staffing up in a big way for more player <hes> but they kept it really generic as to what projects i think everyone just went..
