"Where are you going to be starting from? Like, again, if you're around 500, yes, you could absolutely go on a second half run there. It seems like the brooms do it every single year where they get hot in February and March and April and kind of get rolling to the playoffs. But where are you going to be sat in front? That's going to be the issue because you better be hoping that either swayman and Omar are locked in at the start or pasta knock and hall and some of these other guys are leading the way because it's going to be tough. There's going to be some rough stretches, I think, especially in October, November, in early December where we're going to have quite a few podcasts of us just being like, we'll see what happens. I really don't have a great this team right now. They're missing arguably the best all around left wing in the game and what I think we should say is a top three defense in the league. Yes. Yeah. No, I mean, it is brutal. I also think it goes to show you and this is just another reminder of how far the bruins are away from contending for a cop away. And again, I separate contending for a playoff spot from contending for a cup. Lots of teams make them playoffs. Did the capitals have a sniff at the cup this year? No. Like there are so many teams like that that, you know, they get in. Like the predators when they got in this year and I had to face the abs. That's stupid. Like, yeah, you could play off game tickets, but what cost? You could have dealt at home and forsberg in the past bunch of years. But you look at like this stretch. You know, are they close to Tampa? No, Florida, no, Caroline, a really not at all. Colorado, no. Vegas even know. Like in Vegas has to figure out their net situation. So that's a whole different can of worms, but still that roster should be a lot better than it has been. And oh, by the way, they have Bruce Cassidy coaching the team. So you can probably expect they're going to at least be in the playoff picture. And then Arizona's Arizona, whatever. There'll be an ASU. Maybe we'll go out there and pretend we're in college again. Just for that. But yeah, rough, rough, rough ass schedule. Especially in that stretch. And by the way, every team goes through that. But for them to have that, it's such a dire time with their roster. Not great for them. Not too great. Anyways. Yes. Anyways, well, the bruins don't have a first round pick. At least as of as of recording this, they don't have a first round pick. They do have multiple day two picks in the second through 7th round. Day two prospects. Obviously everybody looks at centers, you got like Jack Hughes and northeastern, that's the big one that everybody loves. You wrote about him saying that, you know, he checks all the boxes. He's a local kid. Thanks for hockey. You know that if they draft a Jack Hughes, all the Bernie Sanders just be like, another freaking local kid that we got to hear about. But he's good. He's very good.

"A lot of guys would kill to have regular minutes next to Berger on a march end, but he made the most of it in that situation. So I think for debris, it wasn't just the fact that that friction with Cassidy and those things. But I think for him, probably a lot of what was the writing on the wall for him was probably the Taylor hall trade where he probably looked at them and be like, all right, well I'm not. So planting hall, I'm not supplanting marsh hand. Am I just going to be a third line guy now? Because that's where I don't want to be. Especially you mean you look at that previous UT, you spent time on the third line on the right side too. You even had like Nick Ritchie in front of him on the depth chart. So I look at this situation now where if you can keep him in that top 6 spot, whether it's on the top line for the first month when Martians out or then you switch them over to the right side and like Montgomery wants to keep marchand bergeron and de brusque and then Paul pasternak and creature, whoever, pretty good top 6 and one, you're going to get a lot of production from both those lines and you're going to have a very happy Jake de brus because I think if he plays a full season with those two guys, you're probably getting 25, 30 goals. So right now it seems like it's more or less a win win. I know this bruins fans will probably upset that a lot of the comments I've seen on my stories or the general reaction is some people are happy. Some people are like, oh, you go out his way. I don't even want him on the team. Got to take the long look here. You've got a guy who can give you 25, 30 goals even. It was one of the few guys that has, even though he's inconsistent, has had a knack for giving you even strength offense, something that this team does not usually have. Any sign for 4 million a year. So I think you look at this team and if this is a team that is looking to build or at least run it back next year, you need a guy like the bras. That's why even when we talked about trading back into the first round. Yeah, brassicas and obvious fit there, but if you're looking at this bruins team and what they need, I don't think you're moving a guy like the brass for what he can give you now that he's bought in for a guy for a pick that gets you what the 21st overall pick or something like that. You don't want to get really moves the needle, especially. So again, I don't think it was just falls on Cassidy, I think for de Broglie's kind of realizing that he's fallen into a pretty good situation here. If he's guaranteed those top 6 minutes, so I think both him and the team really can't be upset with how things have played out now, especially to bras. If you keep him with Berger on a Martian for another year or two, who knows along bergeron, it's going to play her if he's back, but

"I mean, he's been money since RAS retired. I was just looking at it because I was thinking for a second that ville husso out in St. Louis might be a rookie. But he played last season. I don't believe he's in I don't think he's eligible to be a rookie of the year candidate this year. A hilarious completely overtake. Yeah, overtake Jordan Benton for that. Ridiculous. Crazy how that works. Couldn't have seen that one coming. Anyways, such a sad thing to see, short of an 18 slow losing his job. You never like to see that. That's not good. But yeah, I mean, it's funny with swimming, you know, you think back to about a month month and a half. And people are going, you know, always going to the AHL. He might lose all his confidence. It's going to derail his whole career. This kid, he's done because cuckoo came. And he's been better. He's been so much better than he was at the beginning of the year. I mean, rebound control has been better. There's overall play has just been much better. He's making better saves. He's making more saves. So it's funny to see how that works. When you see going on the HL didn't really kill him. What a funky. Who would have thunk it, Evan? This guy who showed up last year is a true rookie and posted like a 9 40 save percentage over like a ten game stretch. Have like a shout out over I think the penguins and one of his first games. This is a guy that, again, the technical skill is there and all that, but for just his poise, that's something that has been mentioned at Maine during his short stint in Providence when he first signed his contract, all that stuff. This is a guy who I don't think it's really rattled off of getting sent down to Providence for a few weeks. And again, yeah, of course it was disappointing. No shit. Like, of course he was disappointed by it. But for a guy like that who's got, I think that internal drive and that composure. It's a temporary setback, but then he gets right back at it and his performing at this level now. So yeah, I mean, that narrative thank God. Again, it's very unfortunate to go ask retired and wasn't able to complete his comeback. But thank God that narrative is done. Because that was such a weak, like it's such a weak ass narrative. That one drove me nuts for the two weeks that we had to deal with it that swimming getting sent down was going to just crumble his confidence..

"Again, with these guys, it's hard to tell if they like Boston or not Taylor hall was always a Boston guy, so that felt more like a sure thing. You also didn't give up much to get him. So that might be another comp. I mean, again, Taylor hall is value was extremely low last year. He also basically said I only want to go to Boston. So that's kind of why you only give up Björk in a second. You're not doing that with forsberg, but maybe you're right, maybe lysell isn't the be all end all of the deal, which would be nice. It was like the broski then that'd be great. Exactly. Yeah, I think if you're acquiring a rental for the bruins, you're only doing it if you've done your homework of maybe it's not a sure deal that they're going to sign a contract right after you get traded for them. But you heard hall all throughout this stretch before he officially resigned talking about how much he loved boss and appreciated it. I feel like they're doing their homework and you're not acquiring a pending free agent unless you know that it's a guy that'd be interested in staying here long term. I don't think you're giving up a first. It's almost like the Rick Nash thing where, again, they gave up that first gave up a lot for him, a guy like lingering, who could sure use now, but I believe the bruins were pretty candid about that, that it wasn't for the concussions. They viewed him as a long-term kind of piece in this window to kind of pay with creature going forward. It just, unfortunately, the concussion issues made him retire. So I don't think they're giving up a lot for a rental if they don't think it's a guy that they can add, not just this year, but in the years ahead. Imagine creatures looking over, I've measured the burns yet forest breeze looking over going. You got four spray you got Taylor hall now. All after I leave, ridiculous, ridiculous. I've got so much money first. I know. Regular season ends on March 9th and then check extra league. Don't forget. So there you go. You might be coming back. Jumping through waivers and everything. But hey, I mean, there's ways you could make it work. I'm just saying, you know, you get forsberg. David Craig comes back, a team like Arizona claims him. You trade a fourth round pick form. You got David krejci with all impostor knock. He got for his work. I'm just saying. So then in that case. I'm joking. I'm joking. I just went on that. There was now that you're on this, then if those, if that was your top 6, we're getting people so riled up with this. But if it was marchand bergeron forsberg, hall, creature Pastrana, I would comfortably say that's a Stanley Cup contender. I would have no issue saying. That's a wagon of a top 6. I mean, again, that's why I don't know how you make it work with yourself. Yeah, you have to do some major challenges. Yeah, it'd be interesting in the off season if you are intent on actually resigning that like that. But you never know. See how far HC however you say that I butchered that pronunciation, but see how far they go. Hey, you never know. Never know. On D and a guy who the bruins have been interested in you wrote about this was hampus lindholm at the Anaheim ducks who feels like he's been on the trade block for like years..

"All those guys are off the table and you're looking at like, I don't know, Andrew cop or one of these other guys and other guy down the middle you add. Maybe you're like, well, we'll have to still do some major capture nastys down the road to probably add a center of the off season, but if a guy like Ford's work falls in our lap and it's a guy that we have to give quite a bit to get, but adds a legit 30, 35 gold score to our lineup. Then maybe you do that. Look at, I mean, before eichel showed up, San Jose not San Jose Las Vegas kind of thrived after just having no center for not a legit center. So not to say that that's a sustainable path and what do you know they have eichel now so they don't have to worry about it. But if you're looking for best talent available, a full work is probably your guy. It's just for the bruins. You have to assess what the price is. How much are you going to have to pay for? Because I feel like he's going to be a guy that's going to be 9. 9 and a half, 10 million a year. Yeah. Especially with the areas having this year. Yeah, exactly. So complicated kind of sort through exactly what the market's going to be. And I still think probably centers the priority, but if you're the bruins looking to add any sort of offense, would not be surprised at kicking the tires in galactose where he's that good. It's funny, hockey reference has enlisted as a center, but obviously he's been playing the wing this year. So I don't know if he can play center. I mean, that's maybe even worth it more. But again, he isn't played senator this year. The other thing is, and you mentioned what the brooms would have to pay him per year, around 9 million. Not only would you have to pay a ton for him, contractually, you'd have to pay a lot in return for him in a trade. And I think that's another thing, another obstacle that you'd have to jump over in this because it feels like a comp to forsberg could potentially be a prospect like Fabian lysell. Or and or a first round pick or other prospect. I'm curious what you think it would take to get a guy like forsberg. Yeah, I mean, I guess it depends on just how much Nashville is kind of setting that market. I would be kind of surprised if life sell Lori is the deciding factor there. If you're looking if you're talking about a guy like JT Miller or a Garland who are under term for a long time or checker and obviously, then I think that's no brainer. But when you look at rentals, especially in the leverage teams have, unless you're in a true bidding war for a team, they're willing to go over the top..

"On the top line. Again, again, I like steam. I don't know why that wasn't. I don't know why I just sent it to Providence the way they did. He sent because of they felt this game stalled, correct? Pretty much, yeah, which you would think that it's a pretty quick antidote or a quick fix to putting him with Martian burger or give him a bit of a boost. But I mean, I guess I could see the argument there in terms of you don't want to disrupt one. Taylor hall is playing very well. So I think you have to keep him with pasta right now. I think that's essential. And then I guess the quickest easiest fix would be putting Craig Smith back on that top line, but I think the bruins really want to commit to see how this third line kind of gels with Frederick Coyle and Smith because even if maybe they're not lighten up the stat sheet, I think you'd look at the eye test the optics of how well they're playing. That's a line that could be a difference maker in the playoffs when it comes to possessing the puck throwing their weight around. Look, for example, that first goal from pastrnak on Monday against Colorado, where they didn't factor into the scoring, but that whole sequence started because they were hold on to the puck for over a minute in the offensive zone. So if you're able to keep that wine together and they continue to get traction and you have to imagine whether it's Frederick who had a couple of great a looks against Colorado, he starts burying those chances and raises his value. If Craig Smith, who seems like he's been due for a goal for months now. Sticking to their game that third line, sooner or later those chains are going to convert, not to say that they're going to be a line that's going to be pantsing the opposition. It's not going to be like, you know, the Tampa Bay third line of goudreau and Coleman and those guys, right? But if they can still be a very effective third line kind of similar to what it was in 2019, you got something cooking there. So I understand maybe the hesitancy to put Smith back up there. But whether it's the breast right now, Steen or maybe it's someone you acquired the deadline, you have to imagine there's still kind of that hole there in that top line that you have to fill because right now I don't really think you want to disrupt that middle 6 grouping. No, I agree. Do you remember this is a long time ago? Maybe you've seen the video maybe you haven't. I forget what it was just like a random ice sheet. Like a rank and I don't even know where. And there was like, it looked like the thing that they do that sport where you shovel it along. Curling, little curling, like it looks like a puck, but it's really fat. And do you remember the video where the guy comes in and just takes a slap shot with it, and it goes straight through the net, goes through the glass and then lights the snack shack on fire. Have you seen this video? I don't believe so, but it's for people who have. You painted a very heavy picture, though, Evan. Very vivid picture. That's how I imagine Craig smith's first goal to go in. It's going to like, he's going to shoot it through the net. It's going to go through the stands. She's going to take out everything in its path..

"And we can debate whether or not they should be keep on moving sacrificing draft capital, but if the brass is one piece of a bigger puzzle that gets you a let me take your pick right and hurdle JT Miller or something like that, which I would significantly help your team both right now and in the years going forward you got a legit center. Maybe that's kind of the angle they take, but again, it's tough to find the right fit and what you want to do when also the fact that your roster is pretty much stuck in neutral right now. You can't make much moves. But I wouldn't be surprised if they're looking at maybe some of the bigger picture moves as opposed to a mason Appleton or like a loss in Krauss or something like that. It's an early deadline type move, right? Like it's kind of getting a head start on the deadline. And I agree with you. If they trade in one for one, I don't think you're getting much. I have no need for mason Appleton or Lawson Krause or one of these guys who, as you said in Ryan strobe, a project type guy. And maybe they could find their game here, but what reason would you think they would find their game here? How many forwards have left here who didn't find their game here? Heine de brus Björk. Toronto. I'm definitely missing people. Guys even before Cass and JFK and spoon are like all these guys, they have trouble with these fringe top 6 forwards and making them into something. So what reason would you have to believe that mason Appleton comes here and becomes a second line winger or a steady third line presence? So to me, it's the package move. And I think the only way I like the deal if it's one for one realistically is if it's for a right shot defenseman because you need some depth on that right side on D so if you can get a right shot defensive for de brusk straight up, I don't hate that. I'm fine with that. It depends obviously who the right shot defenseman is, and that's kind of the thing. Who is it going to be? They're not just trading defensemen around the NHL. So yeah, I mean, the package move. You know, if you did, you know, dubrovka second and maybe a prospect for Miller or Brock besser. Investors kind of been trade rumors forever around him. But he was pretty consistent for a few years. So maybe he's a guy you get. I wouldn't hate that. And that makes you better because again, this team isn't scoring at all. Like, isn't scoring. You desperately need another top 6 weapon. And again, especially for whether it's a galaxy JT Miller, how much hurdle, I think you've seen now what you just really need in terms of having more strength down the middle, just not only the domino effect of having another guy that could maybe draw more play out of Taylor hall because I think you saw in that game on Tuesday, granted, prudence didn't score 5 and 5 goal, but Taylor hall with Patrice bergeron and David Paulson arc looked pretty good. Again, most guys look pretty good when you're with those two other guys, but you put them with elite level talent, I think it drives the best side of Taylor house game now. Is JT Miller like an elite talent? He's pretty damn good. Like same with too much hurtle..

"To poke the bear episode 72. The Frank petrano episode, UMass superstar, Frank, the tank, the Toronto who, by the way, has been killing it in Florida. Interesting. Here's what the bruins for a little while is forward and he didn't really pan out. I feel like that's happened after him. Sounds kind of familiar, and actually might be foreshadowing foreshadowing something we talk about in this episode. I don't know. Anyways, that is kind of right. I've never Connor. What is up? Evan, doing well. How you doing? I'm doing fantastic. You just got your third shot. I did. Yes. I'm triple boosted, so if I tail off as this goes on, then you have an excuse. This is obviously recording before the bruins predators game. So if you go on bosses, what should I do? Hopefully I have coherent musings as we discuss what happens afterwards in this game where the ruins are once again shorthanded, but so far, low painful, but still, for the greater good, get boosted. And for the end for people who don't know, the reason you don't sound great is not because of the booster that's because extremely concerning if I felt like I felt this 45 minutes after shopping now I'm also fine. So yeah, I would say that it's your flu game, but just it feels like it, yeah. We'll see. We'll see you to the third period of this game tonight. Yeah, I remember when I got my initial vaccine back in April now. There's a bruins game that night by the third period I was like, wow, this is I don't feel so good. But worked out well, it works for me thus far, so I can't complain. Anyways, enough vaccination talk. There are bigger things to get to. There were a lot of things this week. This was his action packed a week as I think we've had when the regular season in a while..

"Okay, so we've talked to bruss. We've talked Swann. I want to get into a little bit of the new broadcast because again, we mentioned it's only been one game for the bruins, but there's been multiple national broadcasts. Obviously, ESPN and Turner now have the rights instead of NBC. We saw ESPN on Tuesday night of last week, which was like the opening night. It was what? It was lightning and rain. The lightning and the lightning and penguins was actually I'm thinking of Turner. Lightning. And then it was cracking in Vegas. Cognitive, which was way better game. It was bad. That was a horrible. Horrible, horrible fan. It was the whole thing. And then the next night Turner was caps rangers caps and Blackhawks. Abs Blackhawks. That's the first time we saw the Blackhawks just debacle. But I was watching. Yeah, I was watching the new broadcast. I wanted to see what do I like? What do I not like? My overall thoughts from both as I like both. I enjoy that it's on ESPN. I like that it's on Turner. We'll start with ESPN. It felt so professional when they did it really well. Kevin weeks is awesome during the initial. Kevin Kevin cone. Linda Cohn, and Kevin weeks are great together during the intermission. I like booty grass a lot. So I just enjoyed the broadcast. Did you have any thoughts from ESPN one? Yeah, no, I thought as you said, professional informative, good personality, said Emily Kaplan was awesome during the broadcast instead of literally we didn't have to listen to where a guy went to the USA channel because she got actual insight. We heard what people were saying on the bends. Like, actual information to an actual game, which is very refreshing. Yeah, I think both shows are both broadcast are very, very good. ESPN as much as I think people will see what happens when they get into more of the ESPN+ broadcast cloud. I feel like that's just going to really confuse people at first. So I think you have to navigate that hurdle because as much as I think ESPN is being very upfront like, don't forget, this is what you have to do. I know when we get to bronze games, especially I'm going to have people tweeting at me or having questions about it, which is understandable. It's definitely something in terms of pitching like, no, you need to get no, it's not ESPN. You have to subscribe to get this broadcast as well. That would be a.

"And welcome to the brewers beat on CLS media, my name is Evan marano ski. I hope you guys are having a great day, a great week, enjoying hockey being back. Not really the bruins. We're just playing one game to this point. Firstly, one game in a week, and they don't play till Wednesday, but hopefully you enjoyed the game Saturday night. And have been enjoying all the hockey around the league. A lot of just having hockey back. This time of year is always so fun because it's so fresh. I'm watching every game. I'm consuming every possible piece of hockey content I can consume. So I hope you guys are doing the same enjoying the Red Sox as well. On this episode, Connor and I discussed Jake de brusk in the third line, which looks to be back. I know it's one game, one of 82. But that line? Pretty encouraging. Pretty pretty. Pretty encouraging. If you guys get my reference there. Then we talked swimming. We discussed sort of the bruins scheduling things, what to look forward to coming up. And then we discussed ESPN and Turner. How we like the new broadcasts, how we like their new setups, and the promotion of it. So we get into all of that in this episode and more. And without further ado, here's my conversation. With Conor Ryan. And we're here with Connor Ryan, Connor, what is up? Evan, how are you doing? I'm good. I'm doing well. I'm interested to hear how you are. He's just like that right to me. You know, I'm doing okay. I'm going to be over a fun way today. It's the most exciting time of the sports year. We got Red Sox going on. Minks were very busy a couple of days, but I am doing well. Yeah, it's a very busy time of the year. Especially for someone like you who you're not, I mean, bruins have started, but they don't play until Wednesday. Yes. So we've been scheduled being out of whack a little bit, so. Yes. Oh, you know, are you around a little bit? Do you want to go over and see game three of the ALCS? Like, who would want to do that? "So those are the bounce back, guys. I don't think there's any buddy we missed. I would probably just say quick one like Brandon column, I think. It's more health. Much more health than anything. And again, I think bringing color is what he is as a player as a shutdown guy with probably a little bit of a limited offensive ceiling. But I think stays healthy. He's very effective in what his role is especially on this blue line that has quite a few smaller, more playmaking guys, but whether it be with grisly or Mike Riley, I think that runs a very interesting how that kind of mix works out because we've seen it in the past with him and Tory crew, Kahlo has said it himself that he likes playing with the partner that's more of a puck moving kind of offensively minded guy and playing off of that. So you hope that he gets through a full season of the clean bill of health, no concussion issues, comic again. And becomes that effective pKa on that team because they desperately need him the way this decor is kind of set up for this upcoming season. Agreed. Agree, that's a good one. I didn't think of him. But you're right, absolutely health wise. Hopefully he is fortunate for him back to full health and not dealing with the issues he had lingering around last season. So you can expect these guys to have, again, bounce back years. Anyways, that is this episode of Bruce be kind of before you go. What can the listeners look forward to over at BSG? Yeah, we just did a nice breakdown of Tomas hurdle rumors. "So Cassie's mentioned multiple times that he's the third line left winger. I think you need to keep him in that spot. That's where he's most comfortable. That's where he's generating the most production. So even if it's not a top 6 roll with creatine out. If he's able to give you 1520 goals in that third line, add some much needed secondary scoring. It's a good opportunity for him, and if he plays well, one raises his stock for a new contract next year. And you look at how important that role is, it's not a top 6 role like it was in years past, but you're still a very important piece of this team on the third line. You need as much as and howler intriguing candidates using the guy who they can bury the puck and add secondary scoring. And most like it's going to fall into rust kind of fill that role in that third line that as intriguing as it is, we really don't know that much about right now, how they're going to function. Yes, what makes you a little apprehensive with the brusque? Because obviously you mentioned kind of setting the bar low for a good season from this year. It's tough after last year because I really thought in 1920 that was his quote unquote down here. And I said, well, you know, he's on a bridge deal. He's gonna fight back so hard. Have a much better year in 20 21. And it didn't happen. And obviously the circumstances you mentioned with COVID and the having to basically isolate yourself all the time. Don't exactly help. And definitely will be something that will be lifted off from this year. But I just, it's apprehensive, you know, I remember had some about it in a sense. Can I really pencil him down for certainly a bounce back? I mean, again, you look at just this page 5 goals, 14 points, 41 games. I expect him to have a lot more than that. And again, a lot more as you said his 15 goals, 20 goals. And even just being noticeable. I mean, how many times last year, did you finish covering a game? And you think to yourself, oh yeah, Jake depressed. Did you first played? Like you almost didn't notice him using visible out there. So he's one that I'm a little apprehensive about. You know, after my big prediction last year, a little upright spot on this year. Another thing was Mercer and Jimmy, old friend of the show tweeted, what would NHL on Nick look like? And I thought I had a pretty accurate tweet about this. I said Jake de brusque has MVP written all over him. Jake rusk would be like the prototypical Nickelodeon most valuable player or whatever that is. We gave Mitch trubisky. Absolutely could see Jake breastfeeding like slimed or like loving it, you know?.

Should the Bruins Trade Jake Debrusk?

"Is an exception this year with the Bruins and it feels like Jake asked is someone who people are open to moving on from zero five one five goals. Thus far not noticeable in many games just bought a games where you kind of forget that he's out there you pointed this out to me initially. I wanted to update it cuz I think you put the stat out like a week and a half ago. But basically Jake debrusk a month for words with at least two hundred minutes played this season has an offensive zone percentage of 69.08% That's V in the league. Basically, he's not always in the ozone. So it's not like this. It's not like Sean kuraly who I think has a 19% in the offensive zone. It's depressing like that. Is it that's a really tough thing to eventually get up for but zero five one off. Bowls, always in the ozone not doing much. I will ask the question. Is it time to move on from Jake debrusk?

"And welcome back to the Bruins speed on CLS media. My name is Evan off-screen. Hope you guys are having a great week a great day. Obviously right now in Bruins land things are up and down as I said to Conor to be any of the subject things are kind of teetering around. They're good. Then they're bad then they're okay, then they're bad again and they're great. So we discussed that in this episode. We also the main topic of today's episode is you can read by the title is a story. I think it's going to become a lot bigger in the next couple of weeks as the trade deadline approaches, but is it time for the Bruins to trade Jake debrusk and Connor night discuss at length the pros the cons what you might get why you wouldn't why you would trade depressed? I think there's a lot it's more complex than he's just playing bad and off. Let's ship them off for a you know for from Stockholm straight-up. There's a lot more to it and we get into that pretty in-depth again. Good bad the ugly all that stuff then we moved. Some Brandon Carlo talk and obviously what he means to the Bruins you all know. We got into really what the ramifications of this injury could mean for him. And for the Bruins, where do they go from go from here on defense? So those are the main two topics in today's episode not the most positive not not maybe not the not the episode we did after Tahoe when everything was awesome things are a little different today, but they are very important story lines and you're going to see them play out. "Whether there today. So let's get into a little debate here. It's funny going to the season two things that people said, you know, we're going to be these big issues and turned off to be non-issues the penalty-kill and power-play Charlie leaves penalty kills going to suck kruga leaves the power place going to suck and neither have been the case penalty-kill. I think that 92% Yes some 24 or 26, I believe twenty-four twenty-six and have two shorthanded goals Hillary Hillary all even they've scored two shorthanded goals and he's given up two power-play goals. So yes, so they're they're perfect. Pretty much this point and the power play has been great as well the power play is and and what's great and what you know, what's great for them is they the power play looks good. Like Jack looks good. They spend so much time in the office Zone. You look at the Penguins last night trying to break it out of Their Own Zone was was was a struggle but Conor Ryan, let me ask you age. What's a bigger surprise? The penalty-kill being as good as it is or the power play being as good as it is. I think I'm going to go with a PK just because I think people were freaking out about a power play Losing guy like Krug and losing a guy at least for the short-term and David pastrnak, but you still had a couple of big guns up front there. They were still going that are still have great chemistry together. They you have for Iran at the bumper. You have Marsh and operate on the wall at the elbow. I mean, it's kind of like the same situation was last year. We're Grizzly except in for crew who are dead. So he had to reinvent the wheel and do something crazy. It's like, all right, you hold on to the puck make sure you know, keep keep it in and feed it down low and you're probably going to get a good scoring chance and right now it seem like they're kind of doing it again a beeping simple. It's you still have those great passing sequences. You saw a brochure on the bumper. Obviously Richey's been a great surprise. But again, it's not like he's this River I wouldn't come like a revelation. He's been great in his birth. All but he's again as he said he's been he's been tapping in goals. He's he's doing what's expected of a guy in a net-front role as a big bar kind of like it. It's kind of like for those who play NHL it's kind of like in NHL 21 when you're a club with your friends and you're the worst one and all it is is just like your friends just say just go to the front of the net and you just Spam the shoot button down past. That's all you have to do. That's pretty much Nick Ritchie right now. So, I mean the the pieces are are rolling right now in terms of that top power-play not again, it's going to get even better. Once you have Pasta Max back there because even again the power plays looked good. They've had quite a few kind of quick-strike goals, but when you've got a good PK that structured having pastrnak with that, you know that one time we're going to left Circle. It's like a it's like a cheat code, right? Even the best. PK is sometimes can only do so much when he's got that shot lined up. So I mean they are rolling right now. But yeah, I think you look at the p k and again some it's a little bit skewer there twenty-four twenty-six granted. They've had two goals. They've given up like maybe Thursday..

Everything is stock but he has he has the one shootout goal, which was nice. But other than that, I mean, he's really been almost non-existent. Yeah. No, he's been really fighting and it's been tough to kind of see him out there for extended stretches wage, even when he's granted. He's playing on his hand on the right side, but still when you're with uh the brochure online in your player who's been in the league for a while like Jack Anika and review work, you know struggling in that Top Line not expected, but you could see it being a situation regalix to Nico who's still very young and I got like joke, he's not really known as an offensive driver, but you would home. That depressed in that role giving you know how he plays when he's on his game. But at least we generating grade eight chances or you know, getting a few good looks on that you really haven't seen really that much of it is but yeah, I mean you look at just the way he plays and the fact that you haven't seen much from like it's so bad for the Bruins in terms of his absence you add that to the fact that they need to have passed an icon for tonight's game now. Can I have under Natasha for tonight's game it just more of a tour anytime soon. Yeah, who knows when Andre cash is coming back but more than anything. It just creates a long line of issue in terms of just finding the right pieces slot in there because now you have to push someone up to the top line with Bergeron, which might be Craig Smith again. It's tough even for one game to break up that third line Blake based on the way they're playing but it seems like that's going to be their their strategy if we want to roll off of what the lines were in practice where you would correct Smith with Bergeron you had coil bumped up to age. Second Wind with David krejci, Nick Ritchie. So again, if you do it for one game just you know plug in the right right spots until it comes back then you do it but just from home, you know, just pure body count. It's still tough. When you lose you're going out with pretty much three top six forwards missing right now. So again, hopefully the, you know, the Press can be able to not miss so much time and you know, right the ship cuz right now he's he's just been struggling for most of the

"Four third period goals helped the Bruins wore back in a five four shoot out win over the flyers in their home opener Jake DeBrusk had the lone shootout score to cap a wild finish that saw the Bruins rally from two nothing down after two Boston entered the third period without a five on five goal this season before Jack's death because first NHL goal opened the floodgates we don't we're not offensive group in there so just trying not to get frustrated and then you know obviously is is fortunate the puck started going on Charlie Coyle Nick Ritchie and Brandon Carlo also scored two Carrasco recorded twenty two saves for the two one and one Bruins James van Riemsdyk scored twice and Carter Hart made thirty nine saves for the three one and one flyers Geffen cool while Boston

Could this offseason be pivotal for Don Sweeney?

"Could be like if we want to go there this could be the second most pivotal offseason. Don Sweeney's tenure is Jim Morrison would be I mean, yeah, we obviously know what the the first one was some hits some misses I'll defend on Thursday and say people forget the meal music trade was was very solid but should it be his want this could be kind of the offseason wear off he shakes it up and there's been there's been little shit shaking in the Don Sweeney tenure really other than that 2015 offseason where he kind of came in and moved Hamilton moved Lucic got the Draft Picks 6 in the first two rounds. We all know the story there but dead. This could be like the next kind of version of that obviously not as big but like if you look at where the Bruins are, I mean what happens with Krug? What happens with Chara those to move up itself are pretty franchised altering. And then from there there's obviously been the the Rask rumors. I I wouldn't be surprised if something happened with Rask because we we should never be surprised by anything that happens with Rask anymore. And this point that's the case. This was like a weird enough year and obviously with it happened in the the postseason like There's so much uncertainty surrounding that player that that nothing that happens with him with surprise me. So yeah between Krug we think departing who knows what happens with Chara. I think the flu tone made a really great point that was sort of an obvious point that we've all been kind of sleeping on like it is possible that Chara reaches free agency and who knows if the Bruins have or anything with him maybe a team jumps in and they're like, hey, man, you're the missing piece like this is your what what we need and maybe yeah, maybe he just maybe he departs so possibilities are plentiful and I haven't even gotten to the Do they make like a real hockey trade? Do they trade Jake debrusk? They trade Brandon Carlo. My pie-in-the-sky thing that will never happen is like they find a way to make Carlos the centerpiece of a Patrick line a deal which financially and for other reasons just does not seem like something they would do but oh my God, I have been banging the table to get more scores on this team and if they found a way even if it's losing Carlo in an offseason where you also lose Krug, like imagine if I thought they had Patrick lyonnet David pastrnak and like imagine having three of the best goal scorers in the planet on your team

NHL-best Bruins beat Lightning 2-1 to extend division lead

"The Boston Bruins added to their lead over their Atlantic division rival Tampa Bay Lightning beating the bolts two to one a last minute tip in by Brad marsh and put the Bruins up one nothing after one Jake DeBrusk tallied the eventual game winner at the midway point of the game scoring his nineteenth of the season on a breakaway played against each other in playoffs and possibly make up sooner sent how high offense they are and thought that they were close on a couple plays missing the third you know they brought their game and you know for the majority of it is that's kind of how we want it to be it in a way but it's never easy plans have been a one goal game like the rookie Mitchell Stevens cut the Bruins lead to one heading into the third period and Tampa Bay pushed hard to even the score in the final frame but couldn't solve Boston's goalie to caress who stopped twenty shots to run his twenty fifth win of the season Baltimore's account Tampa
