"You listen to like big smile laughing all the time, fun. I'm kind of more of a serious stoic dude and we all have to be ourselves. Thank you so much, appreciate it. My pleasure. Bleacher tweets already buster bleacher tweets for amandi, we got a whole raft of them. PK Steinberg is up first. PK writes in since he signed his 7 year contract with the national Strasbourg has spent more time on the IL than on the active roster. It seems, does he get full salary? Is the team getting any breaks with insurance? How's that work always wondered? Yeah, he absolutely is getting full salary. That's why, you know, when these deals are baseball deals are generally speaking, we talk about the guaranteed money. And I think his was 245 million. It's all guaranteed. You'll get all that money. Now, when it comes to insurance, it just depends player to player whether or not the team can get insurance through the years, a lot of teams, if they get insurance on a player, let's say that I got the insurance on Taylor swink and he's making $20 million a year. It would be about three quarters that you would recoup three quarters of his salary. That's why in a lot of cases, like in the last year, Jacoby ellsbury was on the Yankees roster, their preference was that he stayed on the injured list, I think. You know, if he had been wanted to play and come back and play, they would have been okay with that. But their preference, I think, was to just recoup the insurance money. That makes sense to me. At golf life rag writes in with Jeff passengers. You're not gonna say anything I got you making $20 million a year, dude. That's very nice of you buster. You're such a generous guy. That's why I like you. At golf life rag up next. Golf life rag. This is always fun. He writes in this person with Jeff passen and Nicole Briscoe completely ignoring there was another team on the field for the Yankees game on baseball tonight. We'll buster admit that he and the ESPN hate the White Sox. I love these questions 'cause I can't tell if they're sincere or not, and I don't really care because I really like them. Why does buster hate my favorite team? Why do you hate them buster? Yeah..

"Why we're going over these folds up next is one that i'm kinda hyped about and we're only going really until twenty fourteen team from two thousand fourteen on here but the the one team that i really wanted to talk about was the twenty eleven boston red sox so we're going to skip that then. I wanna go deeper dive into that one if we get a second but the twenty twelve rangers is one team one win. And that's all the twenty twelve rangers needed to get in on their final three games of the regular season in twenty twelve to clinch the al west. They couldn't do it as the as swept the series in oakland on the strength of some some clutch pitching timely hitting extremely. Ill advised defensive gaps josh hamilton. The as had the as only had sole control of the west for one day in two thousand twelve the final day of the regular season. The rangers didn't didn't exactly hand the as the division. The rangers went nineteen ten in august. Fifteen and thirteen in september but the as when eighteen and ten in august in seventeen and eleven in september and before sweeping the series and stunning ron washington's club on october first through the third the ranger saw the west slip through their fingers and clank off of josh hamilton's glove and then retaliating them to the wildcard game where they would lose to the baltimore. Orioles up next is the twenty fourteen oakland as on june twenty first twenty fourteen. The as held a six game lead over the west. The team spent six players in the all star game a month later a day on which the record was fifty nine and thirty six in everything seemed in the cards for the as to have successful october but the and it would be their first successful one in a very long time however it didn't play out that way in fact after billy. Beane traded assessment is to the red sox on at july thirty first trade deadline exchange for john. Lester johnny gums. A completely unraveled. Remarkably the as went just twelve and seventeen in august in ten and sixteen in september needing the final day of the regular season to clinch the second wildcard spot with a record of eighty eight and seventy four falling all the way from a first place club. Too narrowly qualify for the wildcard. Spot is pretty difficult to do but green and gold. The green and gold definitely did find a way that year and then the last team that. I really wanted to talk about as the twenty eleven boston red sox because after battling for the aol east for the entire season the red sox claimed the top spot in the division in the summer of twenty eleven and held a game and a half lead heading into september boston ad one of the most talented teams in baseball that season with a rotation that included josh beckett. John lester in clay buckled in and a batting order that housed adrian gonzales. Jacoby ellsbury kevin youkilis in david ortiz. However what happened in the final months of that season will live on in beantown infamy. The red sox fell off a cliff in september. Posting eight atrocious seven twenty record of in the final month finishing the season. Seven games back in third place in the al east a season that really could have been special for those socks ended. In just utter disappointment and like this team was just. This team had so much talent. There's like no reason that that should have ever ever happen. I mean you have guys hitting you have your mike aviles hitting to ninety five. You have j. d. drew on that team. You have carl crawford on that team. Jacoby ellsbury as well like we said adrian gonzalez. You also had jose iglesias. Yes which is interesting. I actually didn't know he was on that team. But you had jed lowrie who was playing us a june player at that point but he was still a very capable outfielder at least a player. You also david ortiz. David ortiz hit three hundred dustin pedroia three. Oh six josh. Radic was on that team hitting two ninety. Three jared salts. All makki was on that team saltalamacchia that year at twelve home runs like this team. A kevin youkilis. The greek out of walks ended. That year was sixty three walks. That's nuts. He didn't have as many walks but royal though but he still was even still a decent player. You also jason varitek on that team. I'm just listing names. That are amazing right. Now you had andrew miller on that team. You had. John lester john lackey. You had clay buckled. You had josh beckett. This team was straight up nuts lake in the grand scheme of things. It's similar in my opinion. I would say it's a lesser version of what the dodgers are right now. If i'm going to be completely honest with you. I'd say it's a lesser version of what the the dodgers have now but this team was full of superstars at the time and they just fell apart during september. But that's the one. I wanted to finish on so we'll take a short break right here and then i will be right back with just one second with the best player in september for every tee. We'll.
The Boy Who Inspired Baltimore
"With twenty twenty now officially in the books we're taking one last look back at the year in sports and replaying our very favorite episode of twenty twenty. It's about baltimore's most unforgettable young sports fan mugabe who passed away from cancer. The athletics brit girly spoke with us about mos- brief incredible life and a moment after his death that she'll never forget from wondering on the athletic. I'm kavita davidson. And i'm under scotto. This is the lead so britt tell us about the earliest days of mugabe's life mokaba first few months of his life which state regular newborn infant and around about nine months. His mother sasi saw photo of him. In which is is just white she went and got him checked out and it turned out that he had cancer anywhere so he had it in the back he was a kid who spent seventy five percent of his young life in the hospital constantly getting aggressive chemotherapy or a life of sickness and never got better. How did mow become such a big sports fan. It came from his mother sans e who made no bones about it. I'll be back forth lethem level. When did move. I come onto the radar of baltimore. Sports fans around the age of nine mo- decided that he was going to call in to this afternoon. Show five seven. Jeremy khan and scott carr so or the two anchors and they get a call from a nine year old kid and jeremy's berry aware that sometimes kids are shy or they don't know what to say i mean he had his confidence his swagger about that i thought was so cool when he would call in and then it just months and loved the ravens at orioles so much it just really really shown through. Thank you walk. Can we get picking booking shot. Pick right there. What's funny is santi was working during the day. She had no idea for months. That son was becoming this fixture on this afternoon drive show in baltimore working with the school that work now. She had no idea how famous her son was getting a good no say that again do that again. Cool man and it was all of the jones different things you started getting his own theme music. really funny and engaging kid once you get a chance even the most hardin cremona callers were like. Yeah i love bow and no one knew. He was sick for a very long time and it wasn't until the promotions director was like mugabe. I've seen that kid a cancer events for their sister station. Jeremy wasn't even sure they were talking about the same kid. He saw video of mo and he realized that voice. That voice was coming out of this little boy in a wheelchair who conveyed nothing of the pain and thorough medical procedures that he had already been through never had anything negative to say about anyone. He never talked about any issue with body nation. Change us old. You're already in trouble. Nationwide think so. I'm not the. I'm not kidding. And his legend grew within the community. The ravens heard about him only say mo on free. What do i pitch for the orioles in two thousand seventeen. We have very special kid with us. Mo- gabby he is a baltimore. "Upto 8.5 $1,000,000. He's not free for another couple of seasons. Is Aaron judge going to be in line? Do you think it's a good idea to give Erin judge someone of these gigantic contracts that we've seen over the past year and 1/2 for outfielders? About Mookie Betts. Mookie Betts is going to be a Dodger. For the net, almost threw 2032. $365 million. Bryce Harper, sitting at a contract, $330 million. Many Machado $300 million Mike Trout for $125 million. When I say aren judge Do you believe at Sutton? One at a certain point in time that Aaron judge is going to be worth that amount of money. Sharon judge has a whole lot to prove out on the field. Do you even want to extend him and give him one of these deals that takes him into Ah, 10 year range. That would be ridiculous. I don't care if Eren Judge stays healthy the rest of this season. I don't care for Aaron. Judge stays healthy next two seasons. Overall, You're going to be hard pressed as Brian Cashman to go out and actually say I'm going to give Sharon judge a 10 year contract. Because you just don't know when or if his body is gonna break down. Here We have Giancarlo Stanton, whose best served that at being a D H. Wasim and I'll field I cringe. I feel the same way even though he's a great defender, would judge It's like which move is going to take his giant legs out of the game. Which move is it? And I don't know. I mean, this isn't this is not basketball. He's not running and dunking. He's not jumping unless he has to go. A shag a fly kind of jump up, Rob a home run. Yeah, you're utilizing your likes. It's not constantly pogo sticking like basketball. The last time I checked, and I hope this is not the case. For Aaron Judge. Stanton's pretty much already getting his money. The fact is The bigger you are, the harder you fall. I hope that's not the case with Aaron Judge In a couple of seasons. Let's Let's give him Ah, pretty big contract. For 45 years. Maybe you can push it to six. I think he's hard pressed to say I've been healthy and give me a longer term contract. And that what we all want, I would love nothing to wake up and know that I'm going to get you know 25 to $30 million. No matter what happens over the next 10 years, That would be amazing. That would be great. But his Aaron judge going to be in a space to say. I deserve that. Is this track record going to show that he's reliable enough to stay out on the field and justify that amount of money? Worst case scenario here. And it it it's it's stinks to say this. I certainly hope it doesn't get to this point for Arin Judge Jacoby Ellsbury. This guy was a ghost. Casper Space Ghost. Who was the mother Ghost? There are a lot of ghosts that have come down the line. Yeah. Well, thank you, Pete. Slimer is there is another ghost, Pete. I'm sure there are but that Slimer Caspar, you mail to go. A slimer. Casper. I have that that. Well, Scrooge McDuck actually had a ghost. It was like a ghost in Scrooge McDuck, which stole money and all he cared about was money and I'm gonna actually go ahead and put Jacoby Ellsbury in air as well. Poor guy who got a seven year contract $153 million. Jacoby Ellsbury is the goals. Cousteau, Gotham Let's go ahead and call them that. I don't know. Did he ever show up in the Bronx? And ironically, I'll tell you how much of a ghost Jacoby Ellsbury is for me. I remember actually being at Yankee Stadium one day and guess what? Jacoby Ellsbury was actually playing. And my greedy behind I was sitting behind home plate. I wanted to that fancy club in the back, and I like cookies. I love cookies, Oatmeal raisin cookies. I don't care for candy, but I love cookies. And I decided to walk back out sitting on the third base line and I walked by. They have a war with nothing but sweet. And I walked by and going back out onto the field. I said, You know what? I can't resist. I got to go back and get some sweets. I heard this big roar from the crowd. And Jacoby Ellsbury stole home. And I said to myself, I will probably never see that again in my life, not knowing that I would probably never see Jacoby Ellsbury play again. And that's not necessarily something that I'm wishing upon Aaron Judge. I don't think that'll be the case. But we don't need a Jacoby Ellsbury contract situation. We don't need Ah, Carl Pavano. I don't think anybody Khun B car Pavano. I mean, Carl Pavano had Ah, You want to talk about his injuries? He hada but injury I can't be anymore crass or straightforward than that. Okay. And then he also had the car accident with his ribs, but he had a strained but Come on $40 million for that. Who wants it? Okay, Igawa. That that's another guy. You want to talk about a ghost? He was basically just go away. Just go down to the minors. Let's act like you do not exist. And I don't want that for Arin Judge. He's a great guy looks like a great human being looks like a great representative for the New York Yankees. And when you think about AA lot of the other players and things that go on in Major League baseball Like a guy like suspicious aren judge seemingly does things the right way. He looks like a great representative. But is he going to be deserving off one of these giant contracts? For his sake. I hope that he can stay healthy the next two seasons and I hope he can break the bank. But one of these face of the game contracts a 10 year deal. That nets him..

"Talk about value positions I think with Pavano being a picture it's just you know that's it's so stark there and yet Ellsbury center fielder I mean these are these are big positions that they totally with its stakes big but you know what the heck is it just doesn't faze them we always talk about that you know what it what it amazing organization where even if you scroll up to the point where what was dealt very one hundred seventy five million seventy five one seventy five like think about it just to Kobe L. Ellsbury's contract alone would be halfway to getting Major League Baseball the players to hit a number they could agree on in terms of how many games they can play like a hundred seventy five million dollars and still your team is like all right well we'll just we'll just find our way out of this one about a lot over the years and the moralis drew Henson K. a cow yeah K. carpet vinyl Jacoby Ellsbury they've got a number of of really big whiffs in signing slip that like submarines other organizations for yet doesn't know the Yankee generation and if the Aggies basically barge through it like a ram truck it doesn't help they actually told of you know what to stay away so they don't try to rehab at this point to say away right where is Jacoby Ellsbury right now he's in the greater Arizona area she is in the desert software Toadies in Houston I Tony may met guys at mid June Gary Cole still hasn't pitched the game for the Yankees so they were waiting on that that that we had a long time ago the NFL draft was clearly the most exciting part of the pandemic but I will say that I thought the biggest bust which I didn't see on the board with the cow Brady draft picks I'm not sure where that all from the Brady wasn't as big of a bust as Brian Taylor was as big of a bus is Phil Jackson or Carl Pavano calibrating except what you said about that the jets didn't win like the Yankees have had Boston one the jets have bus in a tank them for years to come to the controversial do you think calories a bigger bust the Blair Thomas now that was awful yeah on the day what time is it Jeff well I mean log in was in a bad problem so my reports have log in but he was drafted way too high when he was picked ME you can go down there are you know we could do it yeah we can all call show on jazz yeah the the jets have been one of the worst drafting teams in NFL history.

"So talking about Jacoby Ellsbury and I know he is banned am I a a wall hasn't been the in the Yankee lineup and god knows for ever and a lot of people are saying also were signing in history all those years and they were trying to make up for losing Robinson Cano and all that kind of stuff okay but now the Yankees have cut him final year of his contract they own twenty one mill for next year and five million buyout and the Yankees saying they're not going to pay it and their of their logic is that he went to a doctor in Atlanta that they did not authorize and it's very clear in the collective bargaining agreement that if you have a baseball related injury that the team either assigns a physician to take care of you all are they approve somebody that you choose you just can't go to some quack somewhere and I don't know if this guy in Atlanta is a quack my parents you know for those who don't understand my archaic terms of quack as a doctor who's not legitimate there are a lot of doctors out there who have these chores that you know they've they've kind of half baked research on them some are scam artists who are trying to take advantage of people who are desperate and I remember years ago Steve McQueen you know was dying of cancer and he's tried everything and Steve McQueen and a lot of money and he went to Mexico and he tried apricot cores and all kinds of revolutionary things to try to save his life and sadly it didn't work out so you know you know when you're you're you're in that situation you do whatever you can and I'm sure Jacoby Ellsbury thought Hey look I'm whatever I the the traditional treatments are working let me try something new and the problem is you gotta get the team's approval and apparently he didn't do that now if you're a Yankee fan you gotta take the team's viewpoint here because if they can save twenty six million dollars on Jacoby Ellsbury and spend it on all I don't know colder Strasbourg or a picture they need you gotta be in favor of that and yet in terms of fairness you know they're they're people of quest wild as he really wanna play we saw Jacoby Ellsbury play he played hard he ran in the walls he dive for balls and maybe do some things it frankly we're a little reckless so this is coming down to it's going to come down to arbitration and you just hope that the things get settled quickly for the Yankees sake so that they can figure out their budget for next year and they can spend money on what they need to spend money on instead of having this thing drag out now the other element of this it makes it really interesting is you're looking at Scott Boras as the agent for Jacoby Ellsbury and also the agent for coal Strasbourg in others so Boris is looking at this Hey I'm in a I got to protect my client I got to try to get old very all the money I can but in doing that he might be taking the Yankees out of the picture for beating after one of his guys now those guys will get contracts somewhere else anyway and who knows if the Yankees are going to be serious bidders for them but how many times have agents used the Yankees as AA and all we had California angels yeah yeah the Yankees are interested in this guy and they're going to be willing to spend all that money so if you really want to be a better get in before the Yankees still they do that all the time all right let's get to our phones eight seven seven three three seven six six six six we ARE lots of open lines right now so get in on the fun stand in west ports with us here on the fans stand hi Richard what I would do you for years and I consider you you know one of the most com well reasoned objectives people are all talk radio never mind just sports so I'm pretty shocked that you would call the hair it mildly Garrett at least in the initial FAQ the ten because I mean this whole thing is got me baffled if you look at the tape from the map all the way through the end of the madness let's just put it on the table he has no right to swing a helmet but I believe this is like sixty five Rudolph thirty five miles I mean if you really look at it objectively first of all on the plate okay they go back to pass they have no chance to win you know there's no time he's in a pool of played miles Derek takes of a free shot rush on the outside he tackled him perfectly legally had his head off to the side he didn't even see Rudolph get rid of the ball he doesn't fear him he doesn't launch himself at him nothing when they come down yeah he rolled and we're also on top of him and then they roll over and read off obviously tries to pull his helmet from the backside we can sense them but when he's polling Rudolph helmet off as they getting up but my guys growing pains he's got to wind and on I'm there's no Cleveland brown around to help okay garrison you've you've made your point and others have made the point that Rudolph there's some responsibility for this and I don't think there's any question that I had he just gotten up and walked away and back to the huddle or whatever or spike the ball of whatever they're going to do that game was over basically this may not have happened but he felt first of all that Garrick wouldn't get off him he felt he was wrong he must have said something to try to do things and it escalated but there comes a point where you know you see it all the time you see rumbles you see guys there are hold me back called me back you see see guys go after other guys there's a field provoked for some reason that happens and guys get fined and sometimes it gets suspended for it and that's the end of that but when you go over the top when you rip somebody's helmet off and then you try to hit him with it you're actually using a weapon point is been made that helmet weighs six and a half pounds of brick weighs five pounds you don't want to get hit with a brick so I'm kind of tired to talk about this because both guys were in the wrong and both guys were disciplined and you know you always started he started it it's like kids pointing at each other no he started no we started it Scott Jose and the touching your on the fan Jose Hey how you doing Richard Hey Jose what's up I'm not that much good morning I just wanted a two two quick points one real quick one with the male Jared thing I really it's it's gotten no pun intended but it's getting like beating a dead horse over the has a great chance it since yeah I don't care who initiated or what was said or what you don't do that right if this was and this is an extreme analogy but if it was if it was a murder case and the guys said something about his mother or something racial and shot the other guy we would be talking about what was that or and or the instigation right it's just it's it's an extreme measure but anyway might might the reason for me calling was let me ask you friend the whole as a very thing was unfortunate it was it was very promising right when we first signed them the the season that he had with with the red Sox that you're coming off of the year was very promises so it's unfortunate right but man I'm a Yankee fan it's Christmas time and I would like to rewind the clock back to two thousand nine when we opened up the purse strings we got the back the we got Burnett and I we went forward with them right now and we we we we dumped a lot of cash on those guys and all things things are different here no the Yankees to look at the budget now they're looking at the luxury tax thresholds and they're saying Hey we wanna a responsible here and they've gotten a break in that they've not a break I mean it's it's luck is the residue of design here but with their young players they're not playing those guys a lot of money but eventually they're going to have to and that's why I think they're a little hesitant to commit big money especially to pictures or anybody for that matter because look at how those things have not really really worked out all right let's talk to Dan and Albany or on the fan damn good morning how are you doing so he Dan good what's up I work for a minor league baseball team in the New York primary the team that I work for was not on not hit list of fourteen and I think it's going to be a governmental type of people that all the leaks and all the teams and the fans that these teams are eliminated by the kids especially right here Robert man for the president say something like he wants to keep getting more kids involved with the game itself and to me that's the exact opposite of what's going to happen in minor league baseball but I don't think it's right but on his fourteen league that right we're up against a broad it goes real quick the field of dreams what happens to me this is my idea what happens if you get a twelve hundred kids from the age of of six to eleven and twelve hundred kids from twelve to sixteen and they write letters into Major League Baseball say why they like baseball why they'd like to have a catch or played baseball what baseball reach about drummers picked out of all those things twelve hundred kids and their father mother guardian come to the game freebies with them and they get to go that's forty eight hundred people and then after that day may have a catch on the field that's my yeah okay well that's a nice little idea but I don't know that that's going to you know get kids into baseball who are in the video games and other sports now eight.

"In the eight o'clock hour Costello the nine to talk about the giants and jets respectively in to start a little bit with the Jacoby Ellsbury in this twisted story now if your Yankee fan you really need to root for the Yankees in this situation it's twenty six million dollars now apparently they have an insurance under Kobe Ellsbury the last couple of years so they recovered about three quarters of the money that's owed him so fifteen sixteen million somewhere in that range through the insurance policy apparently in two thousand twenty they don't have insurance and given his history you wouldn't expect them to be able to get insurance you know it's like I've I've I've been articulated get insurance now before I get to the hospital it usually doesn't work that way so the Yankees are looking at twenty one million dollars a day in next year and five million dollars is a buy out for the following year and go on hello this is money is because I can play and if he does play how good is it going to be at thirty six he hasn't played in years so they really step wearing a roster spot okay figure the Yankees can eat that money make users saying wait a minute wait a minute this guy went to a doctor in Atlanta and was treated without telling us early this doctor in Atlanta has had some charges against them it's one of these alternative medicine situations in but you know and I'm not really sure what to make of alternative medicine there are there are a lot of people's al yeah you know this is great well I went to regular doctors and they couldn't fix me I was in trouble and they cured me okay and then you hear people saying an online it's the placebo effect the people feel they're going to be better and they they get better they're not really better but it's all in their head and you know there is a whole branch of holistic medicine which doesn't just concerned itself with you know fixing something that's broken but all hold lifestyle change including exercise nutrition all I kind of good stuff with the aim toward Korean what ails your helping forestall what ails you Lewis I I can't say whether this guy in Atlanta is a real doctor legitimate science behind them or just one of these people that has a theory and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't work now are it's a con game I don't know but the Yankees look at this and I go wait a minute wait a minute this guy was not authorized by us and it's clearly in the collective bargaining agreement that it has to be authorized by the team any injury that he sustained from playing baseball has to be treated by a team endorsed doctor or somebody that they've approved now if he gets a colder something that's different here and go to one doctor give vitamin C. whatever you do and that's the end of that but in this case it was baseball related injuries Seoul they're gonna go to courts or arbitration however it's going to be handled and it may get to court eventually although I think they have clauses that you know they have to go to an arbitrator but the interesting thing is guess who represents Jacoby Ellsbury fellow by the name of Scott Boras and Scott Boras also has Strasbourg in a bunch of other players the Yankees might be interested in so you've got an interesting situation for Scott Boras because if he represents Jacoby Ellsbury he's got the we don't try to get Jacoby Ellsbury is money that's what you do is an agent and yet he knows and maybe this is a win win situation for him that if the Yankees can save twenty six million dollars on Jacoby Ellsbury they may be more likely to sign one of his other clients so you know like if you Perry Mason and you just do what is best for your client you gotta believe that Scott boards is going to go to the wall for Jacoby Ellsbury I to get him his money benefit costs the Yankees getting colder Strasbourg well mountains to breaks somebody else will sign one of those guys but it puts him in a in a very interesting situation and it puts the Yankees in a very interesting situation because they'd like to get this thing settled I would imagine as quickly as possible his associations obviously gonna go for else very and they're going to fight this thing as far as they can fight it and it may cause more bad blood between MLB and the Players Association which seems to be bubbling under now so stay tuned you know the other thing that baseball is doing is they're cutting forty two minor league franchises are they want to do this and those franchises on the list include the Binghamton the the rumble ponies I guess they're called either the Mets double a farm team and the Staten Island Yankees Val the reason that baseball is giving for this is well you know the feels the facilities aren't up to standards these guys don't have much of a chance of making the team anyway so why why might might do this costing the team's money Hey Sir bot will contribute some money toward a dream lady which of the team said guys think they can play a little bit may who knows maybe one out of a thousand they'll be a guy that could possibly make the major leagues but it's just for guys who really like to play baseball in one windows in their dream to which the minor league towns go well you know if I have one in Knoxville and one in Bakersfield California how can we afford to to to play each other how can we we Turning the corner a race. Children were going to get a double meal day in Boston. Instead, they went to bed starving Evanston days. Fuckin- said they just they just hate their children. It does it does feel I guess because so much was going wrong for the keys off the field with all the injuries. Or there is just a general. It seemed like negative vibe or on the team, but actually their performances I said that when five straight seventy thirteen and ten various spectacle records insane their thirteen and ten with with this roster. I'm confident every time they play your now. I'm back in the confidence. If they lose him shocked at the point and for when you look at the lineup. And so we're talking to ones that you have seen what he's done, but Gareth Sanchez pack. Yeah. We actually got someone healthy and pitching tonight going for three thousand ks was he six away something like that. Hopefully won't give up his first run this year earned-run this year. Okay. I mean coffee with that on the hill. And then we Hegi sent down. The one I mean reminded of some clutch, but it's nice to have Gary back as a catcher. Yeah. Throwing people. But I do also were on is so clutch Hayes who situational hitter. But long run he's not starting catcher. No, I mean, Gary hit for this team. Nice in the middle of. Oh, I do want to give show before we move on somebody else. Emily nyman. I think her name is on Twitter best tweet of ever seen. I think the Yankees. Wild liquid manatee finally stepping up and doing some better for the program. All right. We've got Tom Harris draw coming up momentarily, the Yankees one hundred games last year, the most historic franchise in American sports. But they're in the midst of a truly historic injury situation. I mean, it's bad. I've never seen anything like it in baseball. Aaron judge goes out with an oblique injury making him the thirteenth Yankee to on the list this season, we run this all down because again, never seen anything like this Giancarlo Stanton left. Biceps Aaron Hicks back. Gary Sanchez, calf mcgilla heart right shoulder. Greg bird left foot towards will whiskey left calf. We Severino latte. List goes on and on and on. I mean seriously which mirrors do they all break which ladders did they run under which sidewalk cracks? Did they step on? I have never seen eighteen with such hideous luck and karma. They haven't had a few injuries. They've had all the injuries. If there is a body part. The Yankees have had a player who has torn it or rip did or injured it, and it just about ready to break out and take it from common muscle ailments to Petar medical conditions at this point. I'm half expecting to see Ben Heller out with like swamp foot. Jordan Montgomery with trench mouth. And they both actually have Tommy John in sodas Didi gregorius. I'm pretty sure dare to away from somebody coming up with rickets scurvy. Oh and Jacoby ellsbury has not played since twenty seventeen. And it doesn't look like he'll be playing anytime soon. This is like the worst game of Oregon trail ever. And for those of you who are saying, it's the Yankees, they can just spend a way out of this. They can't do what do you do buying entire new baseball team with all the injuries yesterday? Here's what they're starting lineup. Look like DJ Lameiro, Luke. Void Brett Gardner. Clint frazier. Mike lucinski headstone, Mike Ford. Austin remind Tyler Wade in James Paxton Al-Anon is acro. So anonymous that I just inserted to fake names. And you probably didn't even notice mysteriously outlining for the major league New York Yankees or the single a Staten Island Yankees. Did somebody slip a Charleston river dogs? Batting order into Aaron Boone's hand before the game that reads like a lineup from a split squad game in spring training. But that was an actual lineup for the actual New York Yankees. He's in an actual major league game against the Kansas City Royals, and even more amazing than the fact that those seven guys and the two made up guys. We're seeing action immeasurably game was the fact that the keys one that major league game James Paxton when six shutout innings the bullpen Ditz best to blow that game and give that Lee back to the royals. But then Austin reminded what he does. And if you weren't familiar with what he does that's fine. He has now lot chances to do much of anything. But in the bottom of the eighth he did this chew on..

Call ellsbury like retired. Like, I don't even know what he's like exists in baseball that he used to play baseball. That's that's how I look at Jacoby ellsbury use the play think about him anymore. Okay. Especially at this point where they could really he's a human being the outright. As you know has has had productive seasons. Obviously in a major league. Right. But he hasn't played in almost a year and a half now. And it's his enough happen because they need outfielders. They do now. Brandon Cutty who covers the New York eggplant dot com. Stanton, Andujar join Yankees' lengthy injured list
"On Monday Yankees, also dealing with injuries. Beguel Andrew Harr runner up for American League rookie of the year, injuring his shoulder on a headfirst slide on Sunday turns out into torn labrum he may be facing season ending surgery manager. Aaron Boone says, the Yankees are opting mystic and do heart will respond to treatment and surgery won't be required. He was placed for now on the injured list. Although it's unclear how long it'll be out Yankees have another outfielder on the injured list, Giancarlo Stanton. Tune goes on the list with a strained left. Biceps which he injured on a swing? Do you? Remember, what at-bat you actually injured yourself? Yes. I. Third. Swing three one say. Did you consider telling them at that point in coming out of the game? Or did you feel that it wasn't that big a deal? Yeah. Contemplated that? One, sir. Cramp or some more significant. So just let a couple of mornings play out. And and go inside and swing a little bit. See if I could could do it. And I thought it had enough to finish the game. At least, but told you afterwards that it was something more significant than it was maybe a bigger issue. Well in the in the middle of the game, you got your drill. And you got. Everything pump in especially the want to stay out there. So once you settle down and can address shower and whatnot. When you're gay dessert, a little better and things start tightening up if if they're not, right? "It's the play from the roster when you're no longer valuable. It's never the money. So no, I've I've believed the dodgers would go. They're the reason I say that though is because the league whenever there's a leak it behooves. I try to trace the roots of who does this behoove. And when you get these cases where these numbers are reported if an agent or somebody from the agent's office is leaking to one of his trusted reporters. Here's the numbers that were being offered by others. There is no way to check that like you can ask. The dodgers. And they might refute it privately. But it's not something that they would talk about publicly because who the hell comments on offers. Yeah. But actually, they all do like with our net of guys between and Rosenthal. John heyman. Je pass like it does get out in the small world. So I know what you mean. But I really think that was Blakely the offer. I also think that the giants offer that came out, you know, for three ten was probably just about right? I don't know what the White Sox were exactly thinking that's a little more convoluted. But like that's short term deal. Like just think about you know, again, if if Popper is a six or seven win player for four years age twenty six twenty seven twenty eight twenty nine is he worth forty five million per, yes. And then all he has to do to match his his contract after that is nine years in one fifty you know, Jacoby ellsbury did seven for one fifty so. Yeah, that's that's still money that would make sense in his prime. There would stand. What do you got for Brian? I want to switch gears. A little bit too Cuyler Murray. Number one, Brian do you think it was the baseball took a hit on that? Like some people do and number two. What's the word on him as baseball player? How good is he potentially playing major league baseball. Well, yeah. I think that's the whole thing is that he's not fully developed. You know baseball player he's a prospect. He's a guy who was very good and showed great tools in college. And obviously when you're drafted in the first round, you're very highly regarded, however, you know, against think of the real world, the real world is he's developed to the point where he could be an NFL quarterback and baseball he's developed to the to the point that maybe he could play in high. So it's just a very different type of skill set. That's required in these two sports. He's far away in baseball. And there's no guarantee he would ever be able to endure and get there. Whereas in full. Football. It was obvious where his level was and no for that reason. I don't think baseball takes a hit look with everything with C T concussions. Not guaranteed contracts. Everything in the NFL again, you don't do that. Unless it's really obvious that you're gonna make more money in football, you rarely make more money in football or have a better life. So it has to be obvious. You can watch Brian host throughout the regular season. MLB? Now, also MLB network is airing live spring training baseball every day up until opening day. If you're in a cold part of the country and wanna see people enjoying sunshine. We've got less than a minute left, but answer two questions for me quickly, Brian. I what do, you know, more baseball or boxing? What do you feel is more of an expertise for you baseball fury wilder and Joshua? Are they going to fight or the fact that they are promoted by different brands? I I understand that he baseball. I it wasn't a great setup. Admittedly. I should have just. Question. Wouldn't you know, I, but right? But he also knows do you know, what never mind Brian? Thank you for being with us. No, no, they're of course, going to all all three are gonna fight. I know that like nothing come on now. No, they're all three are gonna fight. And I would in in order, even though I love wilder. I would rank them Joshua one fury to wilder three. I think eventually they'll all fight. It's in their financial interests at the same time at the same. I'll be into it'll be fight Orman fights five if you're old enough to remember back Brian..

"We're spending a lot of money for spending money, then more than most. And I think we outspend everybody. In developing players have spent everybody. Lori max out the international world cab. While he's right. That's the thing that frustrates. I think probably him and most of the front office the Yankees like you understand they spent a lot of money on scouting. They spent a lot of money on analytics, they spent a lot of money on the international signing and scouting players. And right now, I think they're probably number three in payroll, and maybe this moves them up a little bit higher. But they're going to be spending close to two hundred million dollars this year for the roster. They're not cheap. A good thing for them is that they only have I think like you have to remember. They also have a guy by the name of Jacoby ellsbury on this playing. So that that's a bad mistake. Yes. That was a bad signing. And I think they've learned from those mistakes. Hopefully, I don't know necessarily that they did because they didn't take on Stanton's contract. And that's good that could be an albatross moving forward. I'm not saying it is now I still think he's a very good teammate. I think he's popular. And I think he handled himself really well last year he missed on a couple of really big opportunities that everybody kind of focuses on. But if this team stays healthy, they should win at least another one hundred games this year, and we'll be certainly in the mix. And then what will they do? Trade deadline comes they'll refer to in some way, shape or form. Like, you said it took Senator Joel Sherman just tweeted about headaches getting this deal now and taking him through. He's age thirty five thirty six whatever it also looks like if the Yankees need to they got the kid Floreal sure they could use for a starting pitcher winning if needed. So they're going to need them. I guess for the season with just five starting pitchers that I can tell you. We all know that it's going to be seven or eight starting pitchers, and they'll find guys from all over the place to come in and pick up a game here or there in the same situation. So you go even in that discussion of Cashman had last week. He cited Luis Severino. What they did there with him and said he could lock up more under control players. So. The question is will there be more? And we'll find out. Assuming the players are willing to do that which I would imagine they would. So we have Hicks. Not one player that was offered a lot of security back in September. And decided not to take that security was says someone that the nationals had under contract by name but Bryce Harper and right now Harper remains a free agent is not in any spring training camp does not want to go to Philadelphia to peers look like it. And now there are some rumblings at the dodgers have emerged. So you can stay tuned there. So, you know, Bryce Harper is he he didn't like the three hundred million dollars security. Just I see I saw one day thought Phillies offer was in the three hundred twenty five million dollar range. I don't know if that's true or not. That's what I had heard on one report. But it seems you get the feeling it's a lot like Machado with the White Sox. Like the offers here. Do you want it? And it's like, I don't know not so much the waiting for someone else to come up with a bigger deal. So. What if I told you the San Jose Sharks signed or traded for Gustav Nyquist of the Detroit Red Wings. That's a headline. Yes. And you didn't have. No, okay. Well that happened. How does that affect the sharks? ICU? Good affect them in a good way. There stacked in there. Nobody cares about hockey, boomer. Stanley cup. Run thoughts on GM your mo- kick. Elaine. I like. I liked him for quite a while. With. You. Yes. Yes. I said blue jackets GM. Yes. Don't worry about it. We don't wanna make you nervous. No, no. I've been under control to stay in your lane, man. And but but my latest not hockey, right? All else as the trade deadline is set for three o'clock eastern time. And you're gonna pray that no one gets moved by ten o'clock. Kevin Hayes, Kevin Hayes. Yeah. Game. We'll do some hockey next hour for sure though, too. NBA standings, keep in mind, finishing with the worst record does not guarantee the first pick in the draft does help it does guarantee a top four selection. So here we go here. You're standing sons are eleven and fifty they've lost seventeen straight. They're going into the right way. Nixon one though two of three they're twelve and forty eight. The Cavs are on a hot streak with a two game win streak. They've exploded to a record of fourteen to forty six. The bowls are in the midst of a three game win streak right now. So they're struggling at sixteen and forty four. The Knicks beat the Spurs last night one thirty one eighteen at Madison Square Garden steps in eighteen game losing streak. And here's the thing. The Knicks in the next five games will play both Cleveland and Phoenix. So they their next two games are at home against Orlando and the Cavaliers, and then they go on that west coast road trip, they play at the clippers Sacramento and Phoenix. Would you agree game as much? What would you agree that? We have tanking problem in the NBA. You think it's a problem or do you like the way teams do this? Mom who likes losing? Nobody does. All right. I did too g was to get rid of this tanking nonsense. Yes. That any team that doesn't make the playoffs as the same chance. Yeah. I think that they tried to. Really you hit this thing. Head on giving the worst three teams the same amount. It helps you to get the number one pick teams just blown off season. But you also have players blown off teams. I mean, you have guys against the Davidson, I want out of new one very true run the league is handcuffed. You have LeBron going wherever he wants to go. See Luke Walton left without right. Did they really the bus left without on the not good? So they lost. Where it was New Orleans. I believe I think it was New Orleans. And so he comes out ready to get on the bus bus gone. This story is that there was a second buzz. They really didn't leave without him. But that's that's a little strange. Joe? It's amazing right now if the playoffs started today in the NBA, LeBron James and the Lakers would be out the clippers are in the eighth spot right now San Antonio who lost to the next last night in the seven spot out west. Ten. The Lakers are tamp. They are twenty nine and thirty the clippers are thirty three and twenty eight. So there are three games essentially behind the clippers mean LeBron said when he went there, this would be a growing season for them a lot of paying a lot of pain along the way. But I don't think he ever thought they might not make the playoffs that I don't think ever went through his head. There's been pain coach David Hale, the Knicks bottom line does this. Everyone knows what's going on around here. Obviously, no one wants to lose and go through. Losing season. But understanding where we are and what we're trying to conflict. I really commend our fans for how they've been really staying behind us. We do know what they're trying to accomplish. I'll tell you those fans will not be standing behind you. If you do not convince a couple of big Macs free agents, come here that are legitimate. And you don't want to get into a situation where you have to pay a guy five years for only two years of service or two years of legitimate, high end, you better hope not. Kevin Durant, and you're gonna end up with someone. That's not worth the money. You're going to pay him. Boy, that's a big fall. I don't know who the player would be. I'd have to look at the list. I'm sure there's someone out there like that Jimmy Jimmy Butler available. There's going to be a quiet Leonard available. Great players, though know. Gonna tell me that Jimmy Butler is going to be a match player for the Knicks jimbo's is going to be max player. Yeah. I know that knick fans want him to be the max player. He's one of two. I don't think knick fans that have a problem with that. He can't be the only one then you have an issue. I don't think he would want to be the only one I would think that if you are a in free agent you're going to try to team up with somebody to go somewhere. So the clippers have obviously space for two and the next was space for two that's due to an s that's right. And then that's right now are very attractive destination. I would think there is going to be a whole off season competition going on. Yep. Yep. So that and of course, the Knicks want that top draft pick, or at least, you know, right to get on or somebody else there and the two free agents records beat Minnesota in college basketball last night, sixty eight to sixty four games of the weekend. In college hoops Duke with the victory over Syracuse before close to thirty five thousand in the carrier dome. Seventy five sixty five was Syracuse coach Jim boeheim on the sidelines. Three days after he struck and killed a pedestrian on a darkened highway big Asian forum at the dome head down at center court as he acknowledged the crowd would a brief with this is never going away. Tuesdays. It's not going to be better. It's not going to be better next week. That's not going to be there next month. It's not going to be any better next year. We've reached out to the family. I tend to try to do that. Because I can in the future. This isn't about me. It doesn't matter. What how I feel? So they feel. I don't think there's a script for this. I I just don't think he should have been out there on Saturday. And again, I don't know there's a right or wrong to me though. It's about the other family agreed. Then just hide for one game. Like just let it go for one game. And I know you could tell he was bothered by it, and I'm not saying he wasn't. But I just I don't know we talked about it Friday. I thought he should have sat out the one game. I think every situation is different. This was obviously an unfortunate accident. It was one hundred percent and accident. He is not charged in any way, shape or form. There was no alcohol in it was not like he did nothing wrong. Other than be at the wrong place at the wrong time. And it was just unfortunate. I thought he handled a crate after the game. I don't know about the standing ovation and all that. But that's what I'm getting a weird. Weird deal for one game. I kind of thought it is a college basketball coach in a very small city, and they are the stars of that city. And I think the way that he handled it afterward was the right tone. And he said the right words, and if he wants to go to work, and he needs to be at work for his for his team. And for the school, whatever I'm have a problem with that John Williamson did not play in that game because of the injury or j Barrett had thirty points against Syracuse in that game. I like him quite a bit and anymore. NHL trades. We like you cardiova- you done. I'm done. Anymore? NHL Trey Callaway nothing like that. Blow you want to hear from Mickey Mickey Callaway, you know, what he's gonna talk about. He's going to talk about Jacob degrom, and how alarming it is that his E R A is not. I mean, take up the ground. He where has he gone his ER as nine after one spring training in inning? But you know, what he did throw strikes yet? Just throwing the ball over the plate. Like Jacob degrom.

"Eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six and just stare Mike McKenzie update four to six weeks before Jacoby ellsbury is going to resume any sort of baseball activities you'd think about CC on one end of the spectrum as good a contract is the Yankees have ever given out. And on the flip side, you have a guy like ellsbury as bad a contract is the Yankees have given out. That ellsbury contract. We all said at the time what the buckle. I mean, what a total disaster that has been start to finish it off we head to New Haven, Connecticut. Bryant he's going to start us off here on the foul. It's up. JJ? He's gonna retire. But you gotta expect it, you know, I'll always remember him as a guy stuck up for in Tampa. That's that's the game. That is always gonna stick out to me. That's a personality that you love having on your team. And honestly, I hope that wanted playing career is over. Maybe he's the guy takes over for Lyra child on the bench as a pitching. I would love to have him still affiliated with that. She got to be honest with O'Brien doesn't strike me as a guy with all the opportunities. He has off the baseball field. First of all, he's very charismatic. He's got a big family. I can't get the sense that it's going to be traveling day after day after day maybe ten years from now fifteen years from now I can't see CCC's about the as a pitching coach within the next five years that'd be shot. And look you're right about the fact he's a great team that everybody would tell you that from Derek jeeter. The Andy Pettitte to the young guys on his Yankee team that he's helped mold from Severino. The Batanes to Java Chamberlain. You're gonna find a guy say bad thing about about the new love what he did last year in Tampa Bay. You're big games. He pitched for this team game five against the Orioles two thousand nine postseason game.

"Christie when when we talk contracts and players and agents right now aren't happy owners seemed to be doing owners in front offices seem to be doing what they wanna do which is shorter contracts. Obviously money comes into play there all the time as well. I think of Jacoby ellsbury is contract, and it would be a complete albatross for some organizations for the Yankees. It certainly is an inconvenience, but it doesn't hamstring them necessarily. But do you think our contracts like that a reason that baseball teams in front offices and owners are taking the hard line? They are now is that fair. Absolutely. You know, they don't wanna pay for what a player has done in the past. And they don't wanna pay to watch a player get old in front of their eyes. Yeah, you're seeing I think you're gonna see teams give out more money annually. Then give out longer term contracts. They would rather pay more for your talent. Now, watch you get old. And those are the, you know, whether you have, you know, one of them in your history or not every team looks at those contracts and really regrets them. And they think about that when they're going into their next contract. And you're starting to see, you know, now, they have the power to do something about it Kristie. I don't know when I should when the CBA is up in baseball. It runs in the third year of the five years. I believe I wrote a ten okay. And I can't remember. Twenty twenty two is the next one that has to happen. So we're still years away from the few years away from that. But do you think this is something that either between now, and then or certainly then is really going to be a sticking point. Are we going to be talking about contracts the way, they're structured the way, they're divvied out? And the fact that agents and players are on a polar opposite side from ownership. I think you're going to hear a lot about service time, if they're if they're not gonna give these contracts in the free agency is going to be slow because they're saying the players are older. I think you're going to hear agents push back and say, then free agency needs to happen. A, you know, a shorter service time, you know, I've talked to players this winter who are nervous upset about. You know, where the game is heading, you know, they said the last CVA they focus too much on quality of life issues, and they really need to get in there and work on you know, profits and sharing the prophets. More right. This time. I think it's gonna be a very tough negotiation. Yeah. I think those are all interesting. But I mean, if you're Adam Jones, and I grew up in Orioles fan, I've always played paid close attention to the Orioles this season, perhaps not so much to be honest with you. But if you're Jones. Yeah. Still capable center fielder. I mean, are you getting a job? I mean, I don't know the answer to that. And I'm not sure he knows the answer to that. There's a lot of you know, quality major league players, right? I would have jobs in the past. Yes are getting replaced by young players that teams don't have to pay. You know, they just would rather see if it works, right, right? You know, I talked to a bunch of major league average players this this winter who are, you know, not sure they're going to have jobs and look at how many players don't have John. It's amazing. I mean, the fact that we're still talking about some of the big fish. And where are they going to go is amazing to me as well? Of course. I cover football where free agencies over in about thirty six hours. So I'm very envious. I understand that you and every. No, you're fantastic. And I love you joining me tonight. And I thank you so much. Thank you so much for having me on your welcome. Good luck. With that Yankees beat. I'm sure that Christie will still be absolute must read in the daily news. I am now almost a minute and a half late. So Joey Waller hates me. But we are going to do a Joey Waller update..

"And he's a free agent next year one. I don't know why we're trying to become the Colorado Rockies the east. I missed the part where they were really like wonderful team that's one multiple World Series. But put that aside you could have Machado this year who's younger, and it doesn't have cores inflated numbers for just money. And now we're going to talk about what we're gonna maybe trade for Aaron. Auto. So we have to give up prospects. And then pay him. It'd be a break. That's just the should everybody up has been complaining that they're not going to sign free agents. Now, I I do like that they got Jack Britton back, and they went out and got out of you know, on paper. They have a killer bullpen, which is which is great. They went out and got Paxton which is good except that Machado and Harper's sitting out there in the keys having, you know, shown little interest. That's which is inflaming their fan base. And they're crying poverty, when you know Steinbrenner's like, oh, we don't have to spend two hundred million dollars. Your biggest rival just won the World Series last year with like two hundred and fifty million dollar payroll. They weren't afraid to pay price. They weren't afraid to pay JD Martinez. And the kids are like, oh, no. We don't need for agents. We're going to outsmart everybody. It's it's perplexing, Johnny. I don't know what to tell you, I especially signing. Jacoby ellsbury was Frank stupidity. Going after Machado or Harper is not like their generational towns. Twenty six years old. And and there's and it's not like, apparently, they have a, you know, if they had great offers they'd already be signed, even though the White Sox have hired every person Manny Machado is ever met in his life. I it does. I don't think he wants to go play for the White Sox. I don't think either of them wanna go play for the Phillies. Now, maybe they'll end up there because there's nobody else. But if you're the Yankees, you know, that you might be able to get them for less, money or more importantly, less years. And it's just like man, I don't know. We don't want to spend the money hell needs another plane or whatever. Frustrating, Zakarian did an awesome piece for the ringer a couple of weeks ago about actually I guess it was ten days ago about why no team should ever be concerned about overpaying Machado Harper. And the case was basically what you just said about us berry like when you. House berry all the first of all it's a bad sign when the team's fans that are losing the guy are all like laughing, and pointing which is basically what's going real. Wow. You're paying a lot of money for very good luck. Keeping that guy on the field was basically the attitude. So that's. For the Red Sox? He was a red sock and he became a free agent. And I was joking with the Red Sox fr- friend of mine, and I'm like, oh, you guys are going to three about at some team. Will overpay. And I was thinking was gonna be the Mariners because the Pacific northwest. And I'm like, oh my God. Some teams gonna get suckered into him. And it turned out to be my team. Everybody knew that was a disaster. But that was the prototypical free agent that fails where you're getting you're paying somebody impasse performance. He's hitting thirties these Machado Harper. The it's so unique with them that how young they are. I I personally like Harper Machado just because. I I'm not sure about Machado the guy. To be kind Johnny hustle thing from the World Series. I think he might be a deck. You know? To give already have a hustling situation with Gary Sanchez. You don't need more of that. It's going to be that's going to be picked out like scab..
Meyer, Finebaum and Gilbert Arenas discussed on Waddle & Silvy
"College football or one. Of the college football fans are. Getting mad at him I think he said today, that he thinks that I didn't Emma getting this wrong urban Meyer will in fact probably. Keep, his. Job Did I. Hear that right of dollar that, the finebaum basically said he thinks at, this point at this point at this point in the investigation if. What everybody urban Meyer says is, true is, that? He ran it up, the fight and, went to the athletic director and he says yes he may get suspended. For lying to the media or not, firing him right away or whatever it is but ultimately he will. Keep his, job there was a guest today. In the eight, o'clock hour of Golic and, wingo? I forget what his name, was someone who's covering this who said if you, asked him at the time the news broke the chances at urban. Meyer would keep his job it would be like at point one percent right and then he, said as. Of today he believes it's at about twenty five percent that he keeps his job so not quite what finebaum is saying but he's he's philosophy was based on who's. In on this committee you know there are people inside Ohio State in this quote. Independent committee is Greg McElroy right quarterback former quarterback From alabama But there are there are state people in this committee It's supposed to be. Independent I think pretty much everyone I think Reese, Davis I think finebaum I think all. Of the the the very, trustworthy voices surrounding college football most of them all said they thought it was highly unlikely. That he would retain his job when it first broke so this is obviously a a change in sentiment. With regard to Herman Myers potential status at Ohio State speaking of a former Buckeye, chargers defensive enjoy both has injured his foot in practice suffered a left foot injury during the eleven on eleven, team drills today hobbled off the field on his own, spent the rest of practice getting treatment for. The. Injury no word on how severe the, injury is interesting we have a conversation later as well About whether or not Khalil Mack should be on the bears. Radar he is with the answer to that. Is for sure yes. You would think the realistic chances of trading for him is different. But he should be on. The bears radar yes I. Would think I would. I would hope the bears would make a concerted, effort to acquire him if the raiders. Are in fact willing to trade him because they're in an impasse with the contract the bears have one of the. Highest amounts of money available cap room and they have a good situation because they're starting quarterback is still. Under their control for three more years after this year yes at a low price, it's similar to what the Seahawks where the beneficiary of with Russell Wilson and other teams who had had good, young quarterbacks let's hope he turns into a Russell Wilson, that would be nice Gilbert arenas has delivered. Details. On the two thousand nine gun incident Arena says that trash talking during a card game pop the around the NBA and not the. Money lead to a gun showdown with teammate Joe Veras Crittenden remember that, story the whole gun things on a plane and then ironically they were in the Washington Bullets yeah now the gun made. Of. Golden right I don't. Know if it was made of gold but that was the to me that was one of the most parts of the. Stories that give it a read is not. Only is carrying a. Gun but it's it's golden gun yeah well he was agent zero Man, with golden gun remember there is like. Five year period, where Gilbert arenas was a great. Basketball. Player Wayne then he got the, contract. With Washington wasn't one of the first one hundred, million dollar contracts given out free agency he went down quickly he did I Yankees outfielder Jacoby ellsbury has season ending hip surgery so he's out Jarvis Landry, says he lobbied the Browns. To. Trade, for Odell Beckham junior But they haven't what do you mean like he's he he's currently lobbying for that I. Don't think that the giants aren't going? To train them are they I hope isn't he is so why would you trade a guy who's not holding out? If you don't. Think.
