"If they have trevor lawrence. What does he care if they get the number one. I'll tell you this in. I don't know that this happens in the nfl. But it would happen if i was reading an organization if next to go back to being an offensive coordinator which almost certainly is. He's not gonna get a head. coaching job. he's going to get off into coordinator job. And if i'm if i'm interviewing him for that job first of all i would give it to. But if i'm interviewing for a job. Next year i say. Why did you win those three games if he if he wins three games this year. Why did you win those games. But winning against them of course their object has to be to lose. If they win a game it's malpractice it's absolute malpractice if they win again it's inexcusable to all the reason is if he wins again. You can't win a game. You're going to ruin a jacksonville's right there with you in the race. You can't win. And so if i'm if i'm hearing if i'm interviewing at the next job. Why did you re now. I'm sure he'd have an answer. Say hey listen. I'm a competitive guy. I wasn't going to be a guy that went out and sixteen. I wanted to be like okay. That's fine that's your answer. My responses will. You weren't doing what's best for your organization. The job that you had at the time the best thing for you to be would be to lose. And so i needed explanation for why you want a game if you win if i if i'm hurting somebody. There's the argument for coach of the year. For adam gates madame hill. Only adam hilton. Give that kind of argument moving on now. The culture in town of this week against the raiders on sunday raiders. seven of four. Here's a team beginning. Indianapolis miami the day after christmas. Where the raiders are going to look at tiebreaker situations for afc playoff or if it comes down to it these huge gains you expect because i think a lot of people are wondering out there about injuries. Trent brown josh jacobs jonathan abram others. You expect most these guys to play this week. Yeah i think they're in the right direction. Especially trump round with him out there from all reports and for we'll hear from jon gruden said he's taking reps with the first team This week he did get a full practice on wednesday as we hear as. We're here thursday morning. We don't know his His full participation yet from the practice session today. But we do. We did hear that he was out there. So whether it's a full practice are limited practice. He's at least on the practice field making progress. So i i think he's absolutely trending in the right direction. Guys'll jonathan abram i feel like is getting closer different what it is now. It's tough for us now because we are no longer in the facility right even at the beginning of practice like we used to get to watch the first fifteen minutes. He's out there who looks like they can run right and we don't get to do that anymore as of the last two weeks. So it's a little bit different. But i just have the feeling especially the way that we just we actually just got off the zoom with greg olsen the offense coordinator just before we started taping. This podcast greg olson was just asked about..

"Way my grass colin pauses. Take him out on the other end of that. I mean like. I see a raiders team. Fueled i don't mean this negativity i mean it. Almost positively fueled by anger anger towards the chiefs and like from a merger view. You know dan you say that. It's the teams have things they can take away. Mike mayock and jon gruden together are building a formidable Afc contingent here. I look at guys like josh jacobs. Jonathan abram max crosby hunter renfrow in it extends to everyone else. It's just that they. I think you even look at the box score. Three quarters in they almost mirrored the chiefs. They're they're not the chiefs. They don't have patrick mahomes. They can't be but they won the first bout to go one on one. If you said you'd go one and one and be sitting here where you are with your record. The raiders have to be thrilled. I think they can hang with anyone in the afc. They're well coached to me. I watched this team. And like yeah. You felt tonight. But i have no problem with like i think. The raiders have just well-constructed well-built. Well coached and you're you can't give the ball back to mahomes with a one forty five or whatever was going on there. I also would throw in aside comment. That i don't think that al michaels respects liam mchugh at all he had he had to mentions. Liam accused sorta postgame theatricals at some point. And you could tell that this was also one of the best for for all the negatives around corona the audible the audible audio energy of this game being able to listen to derek carr and others like do pre snap and Like line incredible stuff like so. I don't know it was a wonderful football game. The raiders hung in there to me the chiefs. This is what they do. Michelle will interview this star of the night in and then leeann wraps up the weekend football. Am i wrong about that. I just sense a sense until the potential lack of respect their the l. michael's called the miracle on ice forty years ago. Michaels has betting slips. That are older than liam mchugh. So it's just a matter of time maybe in time liam will earn the respect of al michaels. But we're not there yet shook. I think that that anger is personified by jonathan remove. It became clear to me two or three weeks ago when the raiders are playing the browns that jonathan abram is a light psychopath on the football field in that game he made a tackle on kareem hunt in ripped his own helmet off just to talk trash. He flies around the feel like that. Every game that type of anger in into this game and i think it becomes frustration for the raiders. Going forward. because you're right. They are kind of build a similar fashion. But they don't have the x factor. Derek cars good quarterback but The patrick mahomes is is one of a kind when you take the field with a minute twenty or whatever it was left less than two minutes is basically greg sweetwater which was oh yeah. I'm sure that will wrap this up. Good job readers congrats on the end. Yeah that's not going to happen because you knew him down the field they made it look so easy that it is really frustrating but this would be such a fun match up if we got this individual round. Let's see the chiefs of the ones Somehow they died of the steelers feet of lascivious used her undefeated Meeting the divisional round in kansas city. Make for a great postseason matchup. Because i don't think the ranch that far off it. I know i still gave up thirty five points. But this was one of the better defensive showings against the chiefs. I think this season relatively speaking. They gave them problems until.

"To the best of ability there as an AF as an athlete availability of. That's Mark Fuller and he's a he's a great guy wasn't maximum degree to punk to play poker with he's hilarious and he loves the Scotch. He'd assured Moving on steamed Sykes it's Jim Corcoran here and the seven spot tonight the quarterbacks are carson wentz and kirk cousins the running backs Josh Jacobs Jonathan Taylor Rehim Oester Alexander Madison Joshua Kelly and Lynn Boden receivers Michael Thomas, Portland Sutton Jackson crowder, Henry Rugs, and the Keel Harry Robbie Anderson and Kenny stills tight end Zach Ertz Hunter Henry and Dawson knocks Dave I love the tight ends but I'm all by the way I. I should mention he drafted kicker. Yeah. He did in the last year on. Young. Hope you're young Hawk who was his your. Kicker, and then was that the chargers or the La Clippers and with the defense here Charter. What I love the tight end but the expense that was spent on at running back and receiver. I'm not sure if we can get him board with 'cause those positions to me are not as deep as I think they need to be. Yeah, I I think you're correct but I mean, you know the team actually turned out fine The through all the players who pick at every position I thought were kind of like. For lack of a better word proper. Jacobs was really good value in the second Jonathan Taylor a really good value in the fourth Yeah. That's a really good value in the six it was Kinda. It's kind of weird like those running backs are like the kind he does have pretty pretty good running or they. I should say they have really good running backs but the top three. Sure absolutely. Wentz in that was another solid value rugs care you know mccarey? Mike also back the receivers Michael Thomas Portland Son James, crowder. So it's a little bit on the weakest tip for receiver. Still Enough I. Think I'm reevaluating my standpoint here. Yeah. But then you have urged you know Henry and then you have Knox which is one of our favorite. Yeah. I, really want this team I. Think it's really sad I don't love it. But I all of a sudden. I. Am Liking it quite a bit and I think this is a contender. Yeah. He pointed out good job good job dean six good Jim Corcoran here at the seven spot moving the. The problem having with analyzing these teams are killing my strategy with with. This is usually dog the pros because what do I give a crap about the pros well then and they normally suck right but and then you know satellite Kelsey houses, your Shane Hallo you sales jobs are good. These are all Joe. So it's kind of tough 'cause they're all pretty good. They're all good. Yeah. Everybody's be. This is that we should call this the cannibal draft because everybody's cannibalizing. I'm moving on to Ray. Chung here in the eight spot tonight Tom, Brady, and Baker Mayfield are his quarterbacks, his running backs tonight Nick Chubb James Connor Devon Single Terry Antonio, Gibson Boston Scott Chase Edmunds and shod penny receivers are Adam Feeling Jarvis Landry. Christian. Kirk Jalen Rigor Sammy Watkins Antonio Brown's Steven Sims. Travis Kelsey and Evan Ingram. Dave is you look at this team I think that there's some potential lottery tickets at. but they're cool they are. But but that could put still a deep squad even without him and then you look at the receivers and there's a lot of pass catchers on the squad with well I mean I would say the receivers well, like a lot of high volume pass sketches like feeling landry on and so forth and and he didn't it wasn't that expensive tight ends Kelsey and. Angra Good Team Nice job good on you. Ray. I like your team. Yeah. I. Think really well actually gives you know here's he's a lot of like pivot points actually right where if gives them if Gibson's good using really good shape right Jarvis Landry coming off injury that's a that's important player for him Boston Scott, I mean he he's GonNa get some production and even chase edmunds. I've heard people say the chase edmunds is is the key to this Fantasy and I don't know if I buy that but I don't either. Actually I know I don't buy and Tony Brown big deal and family what is he going to be the number two or number three I I'm voting for number two doesn't matter in the fourteenth round. It's you know it's funny. This is the view about Samuel Walking's on the fourteenth round when four other or chances of the chiefs went top fourteen fourteen. Yeah. What is the value? It's Samuel Sammy Watkins for sure Louis who the next best guy there I guess hardman right? Well, and he went earlier he went in and then. Washington Yeah John J wash your he went i. don't know where you want but he was he's getting people are spending some money on him. tenth wrong channel three. What do you mean spending some money Fabio some you know it's funny. Draft capital. We've got it. Okay I. Start then q the Denzel Washington me right now. I just got a little little excited. There didn't know what was going on. All right. So moving on here to the truth warrior, that is Hudson Kern Reeve at the nine spot, cuyler, Murray and Joe Borough will be his signal callers on this team. Some youths they're the two youths at quarterback as the kids say they running back speaking of you Clyde Edwards Hilar- Kenyan Drake, David, Montgomery Damian Harris and Benjamin and Dara or the wally. That's right. Kern read does not have a running back over the age of seventeen. Receivers on this team here Mike Evans Dj more. Jerry. Judy. Judy Judy Judy Judy and Deebo. Samuel Brandon I you. Kind of a screw that up t Higgins Larry Fitzgerald Rob Gronkowski Austin Hooper Devon AC- at tight end kickers Harrison butter and the defense is the San. Francisco. Forty niners perhaps the youngest team thus far Dave. Lot of rookies on here, which means a lot of question marks also a lot of upside. Yeah. The only thing that's not young as this tight ends Gronkowski. Hooper those guys it's like he went there is not that old. You know what is it like? Twenty five, twenty, six, I I don't think. I'M GONNA. Look it up go ahead and talk. Yeah it's like the construction of if Edwards Solaire pays off Montgomery I thought was a fine picking the in that fifth round rain there. I thought Damien Harrison San thrown worked out really well for him because of the uncertainty of Sony Michelle he will need to get something though I mean, there's receivers he's GonNa need something of Jerry Judy who I like quite a bit. He's pretty top heavy with Evans anymore neither. Jimbo. Samuel I- Euch. T Higgins. Fits. You know this might be good for sixty catches seven hundred yards in like six touch. Them. So. That's that's a little tough. So Receiver I. Think the question for me for this team otherwise,.

Dave I Mike Evans Kirk Jalen Rigor Sammy Watkins Judy Judy Judy Judy Jarvis Landry Jerry Judy Scott Chase Edmunds carson wentz Larry Fitzgerald Rob Gronkowsk Henry Rugs Josh Jacobs Samuel I- Euch Jim Corcoran Jackson crowder Ray Nick Chubb James Connor Devon T Higgins Joe Borough Mark Fuller

"When I bring this stuff up. I don't want people to think that I'm taking a stand. Just giving a cop and playing devil's advocate. I don't think anyone does the way talk to be like. I felt like that. So just bring it up just both of you. I just wanted to bring that up like you know. Lamar Jackson the dumbest. I've said a lot of stupid things but I think the dumbest thing I ever said was that I thought. Rg Three was gonNA being better than Andrew. Luck and you know. I think it was fairly reasonable but ended up being absolutely more. So Lamar Jackson feel that bad about that one. Rg Three got hurt either. Murray could get hurt to where he's got he's a little guy that's going to run a lot as well good. Rg Three this. Is it work? Yeah it was amazing. Can you could tell that. He was starting to break down toward the end of that year. Basically he was taking hits and he was slow to get up and he wasn't moving quite the same way and it's not like like if you missed out on an reluctant dynasty you missed. I don't like two good years. Okay I'm sorry for sidetracking here from Tyler I currently have James Conner and Chris Carson in full PR dynasty. I already have picked one one point. Five and one point eleven. I'm excited about the class. Might consider trading the aforementioned running backs for more picks connor and Carson. He's saying he wants to trade for more picks. Is this big brain move or am I sabotaging myself my other? Running backs are Brita. And Coleman exactly the type of movie should make every year and I know like he kinda disagree but running backs are depreciating assets. These guys are both twenty five. They are never going to have more value than they have right now. The even if they come back and both good years this year they're going to be twenty six year old running backs and they're gonna be twenty-seven-year-old running backs knowing trades a lot of value for an aging running back. It just doesn't happen in dynasty leads. Yes they can help you win now but this is the type of move that I that I make all the time and dynasty. I think it's the smart. I don't believe like that. There is a huge market for maybe James. Connors traps will help this. But I don't believe there's a huge market for Connor or Carson in dynasty. They're both viewed as guys pretty fragile futures. Yes I'm not dealing those guys for a second round picks and I don't think you're getting picked better than one point eleven if you could package. Carson one point eleven for a top six. Pick than yeah do it if you could package connor and one point eleven for a top four picked. Insure do it. But I'm not trading those guys for second round picks. Maybe I don't know if ben was saying that he would or not but I don't think you can get a first rounder for no. I think that was a very reasonable level. Headed response actually do all right so we got three more. Have three more these apple podcasts questions? First One's going day second one's going to heath third one's GonNa ben from medic. Nick I'm taking over a team with Zeke Josh Jacobs Aaron Jones and Kyle Murray in half PBR. Which three should I keep? You have to throw back one day. Zeke Jacobs Aaron Jones and Cuyler all throwback cuyler this is heath from cage. Am One thousand nine hundred. Seventy eight half PR. Four point per passing touchdown League Josh. Jacobson the third or Lamar Jackson and the eighth. I've got to take Lorge X. asked from Lewis north of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. It's Newcastle He. Explains Hey Johnny Steve Chris and Bam. Guess we could say oh. Yeah we already said Shits Creek. I think we can jackass. I was on the clock at one point. Three in the rookie draft and Clyde Edwards was there we lead into your bike to say he whispered. It's softening in our ears. Hey real quick. What's your instagram account? If people wanted to follow what you do in your life eats meat. Heath's meet thank you. Okay so Ben. Lewis was on the clock at one point three in the rookie draft Clyde Edwards deal. Was there all of a sudden? I got a notification for a trade. Which was my one point. Three twenty one. Second Rounder and Kenyan Drake and I would get his twenty twenty his twenty twenty one. Second Rounder and Christian. Mccaffrey and I took it that. I make a good move. Yeah Yeah you did the swapping of twenty twenty one seconds. Whatever value think is there isn't and I would trade McCaffrey for the window. Three INDRE for sure. Right I would acquire McCaffrey senator. Now it's time for emails a fantasy football. Cbs DOT COM dynasty emails. David Flint's wants to know. Is there a smart way to start a startup dynasty team? Oh sorry is there a smart way draft a startup dynasty team? When you have rookies involved hearing a lot about rookies being drafted separately from veterans however the dynasty started on is doing a draft with everyone in the pool and being on the last play being on the last place team for picking I have the eighth pick out of eight. I'm wondering when it would be smart draft Clyde Edwards e layer or another rookie. Okay well first of all that is that is how the startup drafts include everyone. Then the subsequent drafts year after year. Just the Roy's broadly draft Over Labor. Broadly rookies start. Drafts are profitable moves. They typically go Later than people expect they hold their value. Even if they have court rookie seasons they can be more productive in your one than people. Give them credit for and even if they're bad you can like like I said they hold their value unless they're horrible unless they're gonNA kill Harry than they lose value or. Jj Sega whiteside even guys that are poor like David Montgomery is still. You can still trade him. This offseason for plenty of is Ronald Jones. An example of that yet he'd been example of the guy that lawsuit on the by. Okay I'M GONNA use it was zero. Yes but there are also up right like Aj Brown last last year. You probably draft in the ninth. I'M GONNA I'm GonNa read something just going to read just for the benefit of our listeners. Startup draft did a few weeks ago. Startup Dynasty League heath was this super flexibly. Believe it was right. Yep Okay here was. Just the first two outs. Mccaffrey Barclay. Kamara Zeke mixing Michael. Thomas Dalvin Cook Mile Sanders Clyde Edwards dealer ninth overall to me for some reason Let makes its Davante Adams. Patrick Mahomes tyreek Hill. Chris Godwin Hopkins Juju Josh Jacobs Jonathan Taylor Nick Chubb Lamar Jackson. Jk Dobbins Mike Evans Kenyan Drake Dj more and Calorie hope that helps from Nick Gray the trade in a twelve team. P R Dynasty League gave up just in Jefferson and Emmanuel Sanders received. Michael Gallup and name Heinz..

"Well we may Trent brown the highest paid tackle history football yeah I see why because he dominated at points cold Miller first round pick last year how to UCLA he looked great so there is that aspect of course I mean someone that Josh Jacobs Jonathan Abrams I mean you saw them around the field and and relevant all night long but I do think the big thing is Derek Carr Derek Carr was phenomenal I mean it looked a lot like the Derek Carr we saw you know a few years back when he was gonna be the envy via football and broke his leg I mean he looked I you know Aaron Rodgers issue guys with the way he was hopping around the pocket quick deliveries Macon some throws the and being aggressive with throws no charge. the check down I just wanna get a completion I mean it was really and refreshing to see and Derek Carr he can play like that opens it to be a handful and often side of the ball yeah guys twenty two of twenty six for two hundred fifty nine yards a passer rating of one twenty one and zero sacks after being sacked fifty one times last year none last night ten of fourteen on third down it helps to have Josh Jacobs he only averaged three point seven yards per carry but twenty three carries over a hundred yards from scrimmage two touchdowns this is the guy that we thought he was going to be paid you know and we always look for rookie year candidates before the season starts and those running back to the guys if they can come in to make an impact right away they're the guys to watch and Jacobs the early favorite well I'd say long we've got a caller Murray to potentially be rookie of the year. you know I was in Oakland on draft weekend and I remember both Mike may RK and Jon Gruden both stressing we have wanted on old time old fashioned running back I I'm look I will not be surprised if Josh Jacobs leads the NFL in a it leads all running backs in carries this year I don't know how many he's got how many yards he's going to get I don't know that he's gonna average four point three Kerry but he will have an opportunity to be the guy he was.

"Music is it means it's NFL time baby the regular season just a short time away right around the corner and of course it's incredible that I'm saying this it's amazing I have to pinch myself but we are gonna have NFL football the raiders in town less than a year from now I mean it's absolutely unbelievable so the guy we have this on the line right now very happy to have them does a great job for the Las Vegas review journal that would be it Myles Simmons raiders reporters out there in Seattle and gonna help us preview tonight's final preseason game miles thank you so much for joining us are you no problem does I thank you for having a good morning yeah I appreciated cells of miles so okay so this is the last preseason game and I would imagine if it if you talk to the staff they'll tell you Hey listen we want to win every game we play but this is this is it it's nice to get a little momentum isn't going to week one but at the same time you don't want anyone to get hurt right yeah no doubt about it and that's why you're not gonna see anybody really I like to say a consequence play in this game right so you're Derek Carr Antonio brown eighty but on his perfect on the defensive side ID it's really a big name guy you're not going to see him play tonight you know what's funny a lot of people didn't even when you got home so it's it's one of those games where you just kind of want to get through it you want to see the young guys play you want to make sure that they can only lasting impression bowl for the raiders Brad really for anybody who L. might want to pick up one of these many many many guys that are going to get cut between the end of Thursday's games and then on Saturday at one PM Pacific is this is talking about cutting down the preseason to two games I'm I'm all for it do you agree with that yeah I I think it would probably be ideal because really a lot of the time when you're getting what you're getting now is the team that go in major scrimmage other teams in control practice setting but I think if you could do that and have that be maybe your other two preseason games were yeah you know you get everybody down to the stadium you activate band playing but it's still controlled practice then you actually would be seeing probably more players in those settings because that's where they really want to get that worked out you don't have to have a sixty minute game were taken off right and then you've got hot returns and because both of these features the situation bears players get hello yeah I I think I'm going to be awful economic reasons to games as long as those controlled products systems before stream so advertisers good you know spend their money that would be cool at the end of all I'm sure so who exactly was the best rookie that you seen so far between Josh Jacobs clue and for all and Jonathan Abrams okay question I I think all three of them has a lot of promise and are going to be really see players throughout the season in Josh Jacob he is going to be the bell cow back right and we've seen in the last few years we're running backs come in and they get you with all the art I think that Josh should have had that kind of potential I think that is ideally what Jon Gruden would like to see him too they want to see him come in their run the ball per second down and really he can be effective in the past games on third downs as well but I mean you talk about the imperil he's somebody who they really are going to depend on on the defense of one as Russian but beyond the three down type of player where he is on the field on first and second down the new CM affect the run game and then maybe third down become then and she's an interior pass rush we have somebody like art and she you can come in and and rush from the outside there to be Jonathan Abrams I think he's really exciting because you've almost players where you really see a run around and played like a hair's on fire the he's one of those guys were it is the only place in the middle of the field and ball going to go over the middle and he's gonna come in and he got really hit somebody that she's getting very physical you likes to attack so I think all those guys John John been Abram is probably going to be the one that gets people excited because he really is of that Rader mold right where you come in there you're the **** you nasty and you can play really good to hear my words of Bob Sanders never him for the colts got it yet that same head hunter mentality so how how yeah I was that the readers made a big free agency signing not Antonio brown but trip brown at at left tackle how was he progressing do you think he was worth the money how do you think you'll do or not he actually is going to be a right tackle tackle Miller who they drafted in the first round in twenty eighteen they're keeping him at what happens you'll still lose some injury issues last year that colonel why things went the way they went with him on the trip he is one of those guys that you know he's a leader and you can tell them to be in there at training camp where he's on the field we stand after he's doing things with the younger guys trying to help them get better pulled off and we and you said simply because we with the patriots in a new one Superbowl you do understand things the maybe a deeper level how how to be successful in the National Football League so I think you the real stable at present on that often the one and and really for the raiders team as a whole yeah he is a absolute monster he's like six nine three hundred and fifty pounds yeah he keeps this isn't big but it's just joining us it's Myles Simmons he is a raiders reporter for our very own Las Vegas review journal so miles I'm sure you have had a chance to watch HBO hard docks I'm a big fan of the show I'm gonna be honest I've been a little I I've been a little skeptical and I've had some criticism for this year I don't think it has shown as much drama and as much I guess for black of a better term real this as past episodes what are your thoughts are so far on on this season of HBO's hard knocks with the raiders I think it's it's it's good that they have Jon Gruden as a character right and I think I thought we now wish I could remember who tweeted this but without Jon Gruden what what really would be is that right we in the hard rock show and in the lobby to took a right and what's interesting about hard knocks and so I covered the rand the five years and they blame the day show in twenty sixteen I learned from that is the the team has ultimate control over what is shell right so you think about it from a team perspective you don't necessarily want all your business out in the street of course so what can you get well you create this character maybe even a caricature right out of John you will let you can what people see John green because he really is the face of the greatest tribe and that's what he was hired to do that's what you want right so in that way it makes a lot of sense now what I think it has been kind of nice to see if somebody like the Q. one dos right leg he is somebody who Oakland fans at least for now can identify with because he is from the canaries from Alameda and they say it Connelly over and over again and what part of doesn't always do a good job is choosing somebody who actually had the chance to make the fifty three man roster that they're sort of falling around during August right and sometimes being make characters out of guys who have absolutely no shot and this year they did do a good job of choosing somebody who don't we have a shot but really might have a leg up in terms of making it on to that fifty three so I always enjoy hard knocks is good like a football fan so I like to see in that kind of stuff but yeah I can understand why you know from a lot of perspectives seeking black it can be about have you dealt with my gmail could all end and little bit my back isn't is an absolute genius as a as a football mind I love what they took him from from being an analyst actually don't give him a general management position how do you think they'll draft in right right image unbelievable how do think you'll draft the next few years well I think it's interesting because right now you have this foundation right and they talk about foundational piece is being like talent character you have to be leaders in all these different things so how Josh Jacobs Jonathan Abrams increase unfurled do you and this year and then the next couple years that's really going to be your foundational piece for what this team is gonna look like in Las Vegas right about it from this way there are not many players that are all the raiders roster right now could virtually guaranteed a spot when the team is in Las Vegas you have those three first round pick there are about it and maybe you can say some of the later draft picks as well maybe second for from the federal but if you watch those three and in those three you can really get out their complete and wins in there or whatever in tackling if you're just Jacobs will run the ball well you want to get me in the court has found if you see those guys for awhile then I think that that you're so that gives you hope and a raiders fan what things can turn into down the road who knows really what it's gonna look like I mean you have Jon Gruden in your contract that you know he's going right but from somebody who is Mike may I ask and I think every all of us know what Mike mac was doing for and I found that what he did a tremendous job that it's different when you're behind the scenes in you are actually selecting players for if you were actually trying to implement a vision of what a football team should be so I don't know I I think the jury is definitely still out and and we'll see but I mean it seems to be off to a good start so miles is anybody on the team I would imagine you know your job at the Las Vegas review journal it at times are asking questions about Las Vegas obviously that's not really what they want to talk about now they have a season to play in the focused on that which I totally understand but is anybody in these media scrums you know before practice after practice before these preseason games after these games talking at all about Las Vegas at all I mean does that ever come up in the conversation you know it it really has not come up very much and I think part of it is just that what you're saying right now I mean they're still in Oakland they still have a season to play in Oakland and I think if you talk to me from a higher level full yeah there certainly thinking about okay how are we going to open a practice facility what you need in order to make sure that when we're there everything is turn to your right you know the players can have a locker room right the players are going to be able to come in and sit down and know what they need to go but I think those things are all on a very high level because if you talk to Jon Gruden right now he knows he's got to get you.

"Gives you, the as Murph would say half a pizza. And I just say, they flipped you off to anybody who said, no more Drake rejoins nice for what would be the track that Dave is bump. And here's the thing is Dave's only playing that because somebody told him you better not play anymore anymore. Drake rejoins again to the Kevin. Durant point. It can't make somebody do something they don't want to do unless they are contractually obligated in which case they agreed to that. But Kevin Durant. Thank you. Kevin durant. Hey, I told you I t's before the break that Markey's Goodwin was considering a, a second sport wants to get his Cuyler. Marie on his Bo Jackson on his Danny age on. That's the one that everyone forgets. Right. Dave, Dave loves to reference, The Danny aines, like one forty batting average for the Kansas City Royals one eighty-seven, ironically nights, Dave, good knowledge, Marcus Goodwin though, yesterday, I guess it made it known to a few reporters that he's interested markets do, when of course, forty Niners wide receiver and the. Hardships. This guys had in his life with his wife and losing his child. I mean this guy has been a an incredible human being an incredible role model at the NFL level, but made it known, I guess to, to reporters yesterday, according to matinee Oko and pro football talk dot com that he's interested in trying to make team USA for the twenty twenty Olympics. Yet again, if you recall when he was at Texas. He had a or he had spent time as a long jumper, then he came tenth in the I'm trying to find it here. He finished tenth, I think in the Olympics tenth place. I can't remember what year was that he was there. But he's talking about how he's one hundred percent committed to find any the long jump in the twenty twenty Olympics. The US anti doping agency suspended him for one year in August twenty seventeen because he failed to provide his whereabouts for the drug testing. He said he failed to submit his whereabouts because he quote decided to cease competing in track in order to concentrate one hundred percent on the NFL. Now he's saying he's one hundred percent on wanting to the long jump. I prefer him still. One hundred percent committed to the NFL death. Yeah. Well, if he still has that suspension hanging over the he's gonna have to face that you side is really tight when it comes to their suspension. It was only a one year suspension, and it was back in two thousand seventeen so I think now he's made him. So he's already he already did it served it. So my thing is, and you and I were talking about this during the break, he says he does long jump still in the off season as a form of, I don't know, practice, or, or stay in shape. It's clearly a passion of his as well as he ran track at Texas. But I wonder about the size of that, like, how, bulky can you get to be a long jumper? Or a sprinter. I know he's a very slight small wide receiver, does not mean he's not a bulky track participant, correct? Right. Right. It's the track and few guys, a lot of them, they'll, they'll suck up, though. Suck down. Wait eight maybe he's down there. Maybe you should start to throwing the discus maybe that'll put put in the long jump as a touchdown celebrations. Did it's one of his go to check that we have to see him do a track? You don't hurt anything. Marquee, stay on the. Man, stay on the field of health is what it's all about this time of year getting into minicamp getting into training camp getting into preseason, but some news from the NFL from the forty Niners yesterday. They did have their little minicamp. Jon Gruden had his up in Napa with the raiders, and there's a some news that came out of raiders can't it. They'll be a part of hard knocks this year, which, again, I mentioned earlier, if you're a football fan or a television fan, you're gonna want to pay attention to the raiders on hard knocks, the story lines like any one of the storylines around the raiders could be enough to make them the most interesting team to follow and hard knocks. They literally have a dozen storylines. You could follow. There's the fact that they don't play a home game for about two months. There's the fact that this is their last season. And Oakland, the fact that they've got Gruden and Mike Mayock. There's Mark Davis who on his own is you can do an entire harm. Not just don't Mark Davis is life. You've got the new draft picks in Oakland. Clue in Farrell. Josh Jacobs Jonathan Abrams. Incredible stuff to pay attention to Antonio Brown comes over from the Steelers. Richie incognito. Nido like trying to make a comeback after calling it quits up in buffalo. You've got the guy out of Cincinnati. The volunteers Bertha CT who was the voted a couple of years ago. The dirtiest player in the NFL, and then you've got Derek Carr the, the what do you want to call him? Dave. You gotta you gotta line for me the comeback. The come back kid on a maker, break NFL season. So this is must watch television. I'm thrilled that the NFL has decided that HBO's decided that the raiders will be their team to follow. But to the forty Niners the questions surrounding the Niners, I think all about health this year. Jimmy Garoppolo obviously the number one quarterback I saw some reports yesterday that Tevin Coleman took about one hundred percent of the reps at running back. That's also because jerick McKinnon is out with an injury and they're hoping McKinnon and Quantel Zander will be back in time for, for training camp that they should they should be healthy and time to get going. But we do have some sound from Cal Shanahan, which I think is, is one of the big competitions will pay attention. To this year a competition. We hope it never plays out in the regular season. And that's who will be the forty Niners. Number two quarterback is a baller. Dave, let's Shanahan sad Shanahan on who is number two quarterback might be this. Of course day one of training camp. No, both. Because we've been here, two years worth. So we've got a chance now. See bolt on the practice in both of them in games. So I don't think it really starts to get the training camp. They both in doing a real good job, both playing at a high level. So that's been exciting. But to sit there and really stress over from a coaching standpoint of trying to make the decision. That's we're not there yet because a lot of ca change, and these guys are both proven that they can't play in this league. And we're gonna have to make a tough decision the preseason which we want to get that number two job too, because you don't get a compete much during the season. There's not enough reps or scout team and things like that. So that really you hope Jimmy stays healthy. So it's a relevant who's the number two guy. But the number two guy does get a lot more reps practice and stuff. So that's gonna be very important for them. It's a relevant, who the number two guys until you need the number two guy to take steps for you. If we're going to go based on what we've seen at the NFL level in game thing. It's pretty obvious who the number two guys, Dave, and I even made a little song for him last year. Dave, you got for me..

"Land Rover, above and beyond happy birthday. I think John, I think I think Johnny Gill likes song, no hands, but big valve over there just running his mouth and not teeing up things. He's supposed to we didn't have to because shaggy don't blank does chain him. Don't blame him. When that's your day job Keyshawn. You're right. It wasn't it wasn't Shaggy's fault. This was on Chris. He should have been focused on rejoin. Is that folks still in trying to tell shaggy with doing shaggy what to do and got to listen to you guidance? All right hair. She's got a lot of issues. Guidance when laying that's right when he was first born you needed guidance. All right. The raiders made a bunch of. Gone of our Cooper is gone got a whole bunch of guys that were out and they traded him for draft picks. Here are some comments from NFL executives, talking about the raiders, and what they did quote, I would rather have Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper than Josh Jacobs, Jonathan Abram. That's why it's dangerous to trade. Good players for draft picks. Those draft picks are super valuable until they're spent and their players that not everybody wants. So the idea of trade MAC for draft picks. We'll use that money to sign some free agents. That's a that's an interesting idea. But when the idea goes from being ethereal to being real and you see, okay, well, I got got Trent Brown, and I've got lamarcus Joyner and I got a couple of graphics. I don't know what it is feels a lot different. All of a sudden worse day, obviously feel good about the, the Marcus Joyner and trim Brown. They feel positive about them. A New England Patriots Rams didn't retain them because they didn't feel like they will worthy of the economics that they were seeking when you look at it. The raiders got exam. What it was that they wanted they got the draft picks. They signed to play in the free agency fine. Great their valuation of those players or different than other people in the league, it's clear, people see it, will they turn out to be players that can help the team. We'll see them play the down. We'll see. I would trust far trust. Bill Belichick on Trent Brown way before I would trust Mayock in Jon Gruden Sean McVay and Wade Phillips on the markets Joyner. Yeah, but the Mark is the Marcus joiners is a little bit different because football player. It was more of a money thing if I can get the same thing out of Eric widow for half the cost. Why not? Why not if they if I see Eric wiggle as a one year two year player in lamarcus Joyner is at one year to year player for us, but I gotta pay a guy x amount of money, and I'm getting the same thing then I'd rather have the less money. So I could spend in other places, and that's probably what the Rams thinking, where New England in historically Belichick sees a guy. That turns out, we got the most out of him. I see you later usually works out that way, do you have to do it at some point. And that's kind of put ourselves in the other side of this from the raiders perspective. You'll only have X amount of dollars to spend, you can't pay everybody every year, you're going to have to make some decisions to. Let's look like you said with the Rams the Rams made a decision on lamarcus Joyner that was more economic than play. They decided I can't pay you that for what you bring into me..

"Wanted to go and pet the in as I got up to go. I realized, oh he's snap. Gus is this is something different? This is like a, a mountain lion. Coyote mix. It was like weird. So I grabbed a big baseball pet and I went outside, and with the work on it. But it didn't work. It didn't scare. It didn't scare the animal away. Did nothing and I went to work wolf hybrid. Oh, yeah. It was like some weird. Weird stuff. Just boom boom is she still standing there. Looking talk about doggy doggy dog like no no. I'm hitting you know, blood splashing, but it's not even doing anything. It's doing nothing. That's terrible dream, I jumped up. Wait till I jumped up Iran to the random my balcony window and having to just look out just to make sure everything's cool, but it was a little door at a nice balcony to. Yes, I do have a nice balcony, Jin, like that's a dark dream. You felt responsible for that you spill response for the kid because I'm always nervous when it comes to kids in yards and just all those sorts of things because he's never know and cougar Coyote hybrids. Nearness the that I could think of in. No Jan does not like balconies. I heard every word that you say it. All right. The industry hills when mine have a lot of room. I mean so kuker, hyper, that's like, what thirty five to forty two or what is that? It's a mix. Yes, what it is. Okay. I just was asking these dudes man Jekyll. But that keys headline of today. Listen to ks. PM Los Angeles. Key so OTA's or underway in people are starting to talk about draft picks in valuate who got what right so and anonymous NFL executive cygnus about what your name to here. Here's what he said about the raiders, I'd rather have Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper than Josh Jacobs, Jonathan Abram. That's why it's dangerous to trade. Good players draft picks. Those draft picks are super valuable until you spend them and then they're players that not everybody wants so true. Exactly. And this is why the and I understand that economics play role in this that you're gonna have to pay Khalil Mack, a certain number, you'd have to pay more Cooper a certain number. But you know what it is? You know exactly what you're gonna get from Cooper. You know exactly what you can get for Khalil Mack and these players, the idea of, hey, I got the fourth pick have got three first round picks a great idea right up until you see the actual players and you compare them to the guys that are down the road. Yeah. But, but okay. So when you when you do things like that. You're also factoring into I can. Only a guy like Khalil Mack is a four to five year guy, not a ten year guy right now, because burst is gone. No, no, no, no. Because he's already burned up fires his career. So he's got about another four five. Okay to really get there where rookie guy has that whole ten years. The problem is, you'll know what he's going to be like an I four five years. You have no idea. You already knew Khalil Mack was the odds ARCHE that even even if you pick the right guy, the odds of him being Khalil Mack, a really low. But if you pick the right guy, if you if you pick today beyond clowney. Where's that go wrong? It like that's Saint that similar not quite Satistics, everything Khalil Mack has been able to do, but goodness enough. You're clear that today. Cloudy does some things that Khalil Mack. Does he gets up to the quarterback? He could be reckless when he wants to be defensively. So when you start to look at it from that perspective, then yeah, maybe you hit on a guy but you gonna probably miss for more than you hit. Sure. Because Khalil Mack is already established. So that's one of the reasons is really hard to get rid of a veteran player..

"To the show as you should've been you've heard KT live from days and the raiders draft party and not even the draft party draft war. The big wigs and everything that's going on with the raiders because anybody who's in the know it is KT, and he'll be back tomorrow to cover the rest of the draft. But right now me, Danny Burke, hanging out covering the draft for you real quick look at the Richard badgen. Finley Toyota out of town scoreboard is what's going on? Just the games at bribes that breads and Braves back at it bomber the eight three two two now read the Braves have scored to to make it close. Speaking of making it close or not close as the case may be the angels open four run lead now on the eight to four in the bottom of the seventh. Only hope is Yankee betters is that the angel bullpen falls apart again. The Rangers and Mariners nine nothing. Mariners top of the six and bad news for me who has Saint Louis blues on the puck line. It was three to one. It is now three to to. But the good news is should be an empty net for they lose has a chance to hit an empty net goal at least score that extra goal. Which is why when I bet hockey always bet that puck line team can win by one. They can easily win by two empty net. That's what's going on. That's go back to the NFL draft. First round is over Mr. relevant of the first round. He's not really Mr. Elvin. He's just meserve Illinois, the first round and KT broke live keel Harry going into England. The last four picks of the first round Khalib. Gary going number thirty one to the falcons de'andre Baker number thirty to the hawks and Eljay call your number twenty nine to two Seahawks. That was the end of round one first of all before we look ahead around two or your thoughts around one round one was it was interesting. There definitely was a little bit of shake up right away. I I mean for you as it gets a little bit of surprise collar Murray going number one for a lot of people just was finally solidified. It'll be interesting like we've been saying what's going to happen with Josh Rosen. Obviously the raiders getting Cleveland fairl as a surprise as well. I think pick and I can't recall Ken kinda hit on it or not when I was asking about who's maybe the sleeper gotta steal at the end of the first round. I think a big one was the Steelers trading up with the Broncos. I believe it was and they picked up Devon Bush the linebacker out of Michigan. And yeah, he's outta Michigan. Correct something. Yeah. The one out of LSU Devin Bush out of Michigan. So that's a big pickup for the Steelers because they got they traded up. They got him. Great linebacker out of Michigan. Replacing Ryan shazier, who of course, had the gruesome injury couple years ago. And he's he's getting back on his feet though. I he did he was a little bit paralyzed. I think originally right after the hit, but I had seen recovery videos. He's been walking around do a little bit of exercises. So good to see for Shazia. But that's a great pick up for the Steelers with Devon Bush. You still bunch of hitting big ten football us to that running. And it'll be a gruesome style of that same type of running and offense you'll see in the AFC north especially going up against quarterbacks. Like Lamar Jackson who will be coming up the outside doing a little bit of spread offense. Michigan saw little bit of that. You don't see too much in the big ten, but within the bresca implementing it was Scott frost got to get a little bit of experience that with Adrian Martinez in his mobility. So I think Devon Bush would be a good fit for the Steelers weird. Because this is the first time, I think I've ever said this at least in the last thirty years. Oh that this is really the Browns division. Now. Everyone's trying to catch up to Cleveland, which just feels so weird to say. But you know, and yet Cleveland hasn't won anything. I get that. But if you look at the way teams have been built right now Browns team is probably the best of that division. It's hard to say, I mean with all the talent there's just about can they be coach together can they work together? And how's it gonna look on the field? It's great on paper. It's a great maddened team. That's for sure. But that's the main question and we'll see. Right. That's what they say. The games are played on paper. So. What team do you think help themselves the most in his first round? And what team do you think that the least that had a chance to help themselves? I mean, not just going with the hometown or current hometown. By the raiders, obviously help themselves just because of the surplus of pigs and with the dire necessity of the positions, they filled being running back, the fence of back and defensive line with Josh Jacobs, Jonathan Abram, and of course, Cleland Farrell and then teams that hurt themselves. You know, I wouldn't say one necessarily stands out that much, but I would have to lean toward because I do like the giants pigs. I don't hate the Daniel Jones pick. I'm just shocked. They could've it would've looked a lot prettier with them picking up Dwayne Haskins. And then also getting Dexter Lawrence at seventeen. So they had a chance to be looking really pretty I think they're looking good. But not great. I think the Packers could have been a little bit better with their first pick. They picked up. Rashawn Gary who's a Saudi running back out of Michigan as well. Just not that much of a tough guy. I mean, there's a lot of athleticism there. But you didn't see a lot of sacks coming from him during big ten play and just in general. The potential is there if you can develop under a coaching staff from the Packers defense has been struggling. So they did need to get someone on that side of the ball. But I think they could have gone in a different direction. They did pick up L savage who I think is a good DB. So that also help on the defensive side. I thought there may maybe going to go with no fab, then of course, the Broncos scooped him up at twenty. I thought fan would have been a good pick for the patriots or the Packers. He got picked up early though. So good for the Broncos. I am a little shocked that they didn't pick up. Drew lock though. Honestly, I thought the Broncos because that's why I was scared that over under of July Broncos head to ten and then they trails like, okay, maybe they're just trying to get down and get through. No one's going to get your lock. And then they pick no fan like I just said he's a good pick. But I thought there may be going to get another quarterback. But interesting, I think the one team that did themselves a lot of good enough. And I haven't heard I've listened to little bit of draft coverage, and I have no the Redskins because they thought they were going to have to trade up in order to get Dwayne Haskins. And they didn't they were able to say fifteen and get him. Their second first round pick. They got Montas wet and they got him rather late. They got him at number twenty six. Yeah. You make a great point. I act to that kind of just slipped my mind now that I'm looking at it too Redskins. Definitely. And also I forgot giants. Also at the Andre Baker cornerback. So they also were looking good with that too. But you're right Redskins. They did get it to steals with doing Askins sweat the deal with sweat as he had that heart condition. So that's why he slipped a little bit farther down on a lot of people's draft board. But I agree with you. One hundred percent Redskins for sure got a couple of steals, and you know, certain players like marquees Brown. I don't see as a fit in Baltimore. And my problem is that March Jackson is not a thrower. And for a guy like Jim Guy like Brown to be successful. He has to have a quarterback is going to be accurate able to throw. He he may be able to run open. But I don't know if he can be thrown open what I'm saying. Lamar Jackson, isn't that guy? I think they need more of a possession guide in the speedster. They got it seemed like one of those things with the ravens where? Okay, who's the best available at this position? Let's just go get him. Let's get kind of a bigger name. I mean, his name is Hollywood Brown. That's his nickname. I've no doubt will be a great receiver. But I kind of do what he better than decay Metcalf was he better than I think he's better than Metcalf because Metcalf like we are saying earlier, I told you off air lease Metcalf. Is that boomer bus guys insane Affleck free? Can you really produce consistently on the field? We'll see if he can do that. Or I mean, excuse me marquees brownie K Hollywood Brown is better overall receiver. But like you said, I just don't know if he fits necessarily with the ravens and Lamar Jackson because Jackson is not throwing the ball deep consistently which is big for Hollywood Brown because that's his game. Right. If you put Holly. Brown on a team like the Packers with Aaron Rodgers. Okay. That's great. See that happening. I just don't see it in Baltimore. It's very interesting. Big Josh Jacobs and people aren't talking about for Jacobs. Should is this kid is great picking up the blitz as well. Which the NFL is absolutely huge. Yeah. He's a Jack of all trade. She can go inside outside like you said block. He can't get the little dump ops as well too. So it'll be interesting how the raiders implement him into the offense. Especially like, I was saying Ken when I asked him if so much opportunity there, they recite Jalen Rashard. And then Doug Martin is. Well, but they lost marshawn Lynch to retirement suggest shake-ups a lot tune in that backfield. And I'm not sure where the Broncos picking round to take a look real quick because it's got to be relatively early. Right. They have that they have the what is that they own the ninth pick in the second round forty first overall. So air zone is not taking a quarterback's taking drew lock their cool to the second pick in the second round taking drew lock raiders debt. I guess it's a possibility, but that's not a position of need necessarily for the raiders. Garoppolo seahawks. Wilson the Jaguars just signed got it name games. Thank you. They just signed foles Tampa Bay. James Winston, you're gonna take Nick lock there for Winston and the bills have Josh Allen. So maybe Denver's plans to get Josh lock right there pick in the second round. Because if you look at all teams above him, just maybe the raiders buccaneers and or bills, and I don't see the bills they'd taking into to try to replace Josh Allen obvious to second year, the bucks of giving up on Jameis Winston or tired of his antics, then maybe otherwise, there's no reason to think the Broncos won't have locked fall into them there. Yeah. I think what the bucks it's more like a one year. We'll give you one more chance. Shame as Winston type of thing. Because if you bring in another young coming behind, and that's only gonna mess with his psyche, even more so and I think it could come down like you said to it being the Broncos and they'll get the steel with getting drew lock later. I think 'cause they have the forty first pick. And then forty second the Bengals come after. So I don't if the Broncos don't scoop them there. I could see drew lock falling to the Bengals to backup. Andy Dolan because who knows how much longer they're going to put up with his stuff there. The only question becomes okay? To the Bengals try to trade up to get another spot because the locks gonna fall if they really want through lock interesting trades made in the second round just to get through lock a guy who could have been first round talent this fall into the second round. Absolutely. And you mentioned the bills. The bills will focus more on the wide receiver position to there's still a lot of solid guys left IBO Samuel out of South Carolina, decay Metcalf who we've been talking about and also AJ Brown part of that team with decay Metcalf has gotten overlook just because.

"Can go back from moment going back to the raiders selection of Jonathan Abram. I mean, this young man who is I think vastly underrated talking to head coach Joe Moorhead yesterday. He said we to try and controls intensity everyday in practice. Whether it was tag thud Fogo we like eight Jonathan teammates chill out a little bit. And as far as personality engaging electrifies everybody else, you know, to your point earlier Dari about the raiders are going to be second guessed about everything they do their last two picks. Josh Jacobs, Jonathan abra solid solid. Absolutely. Without question. Are there were some that thought both of those guys could end up hire them for at four. But in the end goes four Jacobson Abram go after that. And they've still got a pick at thirty five. I mean, it will be here early tomorrow night talking about the next big of the Oakland Raiders. And where they go. You know, we're talking about surprises guys to me like seeing savage go before Abram is certainly surprise that you rebate traded up and he wants six before Abram is a surprise to be Ian conversation with Moorhead is a Lustre. What a lot of people thought about he's really an alpha. And I certainly thought he would off the board before savage would another surprise. We have to look at an passing league. We haven't had a true corner come off the board yet. So I think that's something that we have to watch four realize that Byron Murphy Washington is the highest radio Williams out there Baker. I think the reason for that Chris is that's the one position where it's a stop watch physician and this group of corners started with Murphy heater run great, greedy Williams. There's a lot of questions about his physicality attorney live things down. So I think that's the reason we haven't seen a corner and we've seen to safety go so far, but it is unusual because usually see more cores than safety. And you also if you're watching on television, you will often see this you say who is left in the green room who made the trip to Nashville that still hasn't been selected. You can't see it on radio. So I'll explain it to you. There are three Joon Taylor. Offensive tackle out of Florida still undrafted de'andre Baker cornerback at Georgia and decay Metcalf wide receiver out of ole miss. They are all here in Nashville, but unselected to this point and drew lock here as well. Andrew lock is listed as being here. I have not seen whether you would so. You may have he may be here. He is not here. We are told he is not here. So apparently the so is not in. At least not at Nashville Bill. Somewhere. Dr place it continues to rain here but going to the corners..

"I think it's so difficult to see petite at home. I was like oh the. The pirates got this today, especially with Taiwan on the right? Yeah. And the pitching match pretty much favor the pirates and almost every game this when you could argue just because Greg he can be a star at any point. And he's been raking lately. So again today, that's very true. Also today in Chicago dodgers and cubs closing out that series dodgers lost. I do games. They end up winning this one John Lester coming out the DL very well dodgers win to two one. They opened it up minus one ten close at minus one Twenty-one game. They kind of expected attitude nothing lead kenley Jansen give me up another home run in the ninth inning gave gave it up to L Mora Lester pitch good coming back from the I L and he gave up one run. But that was because of hobby buys missed one. At shortstop took his eye off the ball runner was able to go home, and then some relief gave up the other on. But I'm happy for the cups. You're taking two out of three from the dodgers not easy with the way they've been hitting. So the pitching's look in a little bit better offense case in Hayward is looked very great right now. And I'm eating crow little bit thous give him crap at the beginning of the season offensively. And then he was having a couple of defensive lapses as well. Because that was the only thing he was providing for while. But now he's finally living up to that contract. A little bit Marlin Phillies today in Philadelphia Nolan on the hill look into turnaround woods. Vishay ski season pitched very well. One one game going into the into the ten Marlin scored a top of the and take a game three to one huge dog and his game over minus two thirty five Vilis close one ninety five and the Marlins took this game three to one. This Marlins team. I can't bent on Netflix can't bet on it. But it's tough to bet against them because they seem to play very tough lately. Yeah. It's just one of those things that seems if you're wagering with her against them. They'll screw you. But every time you look away they win a game. And you think or no they're going to get killed? It's like I should've taken the run line there. And then you look at it the next day like it makes sense to take the run for the Phillies. You would think when Nolan the mound despite his struggles. But there they go again winning on the road. It was just last week when they against cheers are in the NATs ensures mantle lost the game gave it to him. I was like, oh, sure. Take him down insures got hammered by this Marlins team. Yeah. So not a big fan of just because they're killing me in betting reds and Braves right now, it's three nothing Braves. In the seventh inning rain has come down. It's been delayed for about two hours. Not you're gonna call this one or not. But it right now it is currently three nothing. Reggie they call it. The reg we'll get the win. They scored all before the fan. So there's no issues there. They call the game. It's reds win. Yeah. And speaking of killing you and bedding. I don't know. If this is the next on your list don't say it because I'm going to it's the Yankees in the angels. The Yankees had a four nothing lead. It is currently forty four in the top of the sixty angels come all the way back against Tanaka. Is that what you're going to tell me that that is what I was going to tell you. We're both on the Yankees right now. In two two run homers in the bottom of the Ford tied this game of Tanaka to be pitching. So very well. Right. But it's top still tons of time. Obviously the Yankee bats come alive. Although if you take a look at Yankee lineup it is just bizarre. It's bizarro world looking at the Angie's because you have no Stanton. You have. No, Andrew Har, you have no judge. You have no to Lewinsky. And even those seems Tila whiskey all these injuries are killing the Yankees, and they're still finding away. So. Yeah. That's why. Seemed like a good position with Tanaka pitch. And he was doing good up until the bottom of the fifth. And yes, a lot of game like a Yankees just finding away their team here. And they battled back what from five oh yesterday or four. They won six to five other two games at our final American League. The Tigers after sleeping double header from the Red Sox two days ago lost yesterday lost again today. Seven to three they had a three to two lead. And the Red Sox bats are finally coming alive. So if you're a Red Sox fan, you gotta feel pretty good about that. It was officially panic time after the two double header loss. No, I don't think it's time. But like I said the way I mean good thing they swept the raise over the weekend. Because if the rays had had one two three from the Red Sox, then it may have been panic. Time lever to gotten huge raise coming into Boston this weekend. Those it'll be a very interesting series their panic time for Chris sale though, while he finally had double digit strikeouts. Which is good. So over five on the season, right? You know, I said all along I'm not a huge fan of his Red Sox. And people think I'm not I know they do, but I'm still not it's way early. But I'm still not a huge fan is red sock teams in that division where the rays are are mazing Yankees are playing. Well when out everybody everybody when they get the and now the most exciting player in baseball everyone's waiting Guerrero junior for their Blue Jays coming up starting tomorrow against the as to make it easy. No, not at all the other game in the American League final. It's a battle of former UCLA rotation Maton Trevor Bauer and Garrett Cole and it was a pitching matchup. You expected to one the final the Indians beat the Astros. Great pitching matchup. These these guys headed were dealing tonight. Couple of solo home runs for the Indians and a solo horn for George Springer on the Astros Canada. All follow runs in this game. Yeah. Astra's kind of all over the place lately. I think I had him against the Marlins the other day when they lost three two one. They've just been disappointed me anytime, I've been wagering on them. And a lot of people still have them in the power rankings close to the number one team, which I'm a little shell shocked by so. Oh, I don't know. I don't know if I can trust these guys I think they'll turn it around. Eventually just like all the major teams here, but still Asser offense needs to come alive. They do they're in first place. I believe in in the west because the Mariners have come back down there. More pain has over sixty RAM last week, which really hurt the M's. But speaking Mariners last game going on Tommy her and making his major league debut for the Rangers. He hasn't gone well five nothing Mariners in the bomb in the for the five in the first inning. So sometimes, you know, you hear about these debuts guys look fantastic. That's not the case for her today and the Rangers. And that's going to do it for Richard badgen? Finley Toyota out-of-town scoreboard, we are gonna take a break early. So we can come back and have KT on live from days. We'll talk about the raiders we'll talk about the draft. That's really quickly given up data. The last few picks to do because we have the last was Josh Jacobs marquees Brown from the ravens Mont has sweet the edge rusher out of Mississippi State went to the Redskins with twenty six Jonathan Abraham the safety of Mississippi State is degraded third and final pick in the first round. So you end up with Josh Jacobs Jonathan Abraham and Cleveland feral that's the raiders three picks in the first round overall. What do you think of those three unlike it, I was actually telling you before the show, I thought that the raiders might try to get Montas? What I that twenty four thick and hope that Josh Jacobs still going to be available for the twenty been too. Yeah, I do as well. But I think that's still Sal Jonathan Abram solid player. No doubt. He's very athletic has a lot of energy and place. With a lot of emotion, and he's a physical player too. So he's not going to be that hit or miss tackler. He'll make those open field tackles so defense definitely improving for the raiders. Can they still replace that whole with Khalil Mack? Like, you said, I don't know it's gonna be tough. It's not looking likely but give these guys a chance really like Josh shake-ups. Pick up though me to the chargers are on the clock and Willie back in three minutes with KT live from days..

"Conversation live whenever a story changes right here on Chicago's very own seven twenty WGN. Steve, thanks, very much Bill Schneider. In-studio right now Maria Bamford joins us Marie. I've already told you this. But I want everyone to know Wendy. And I have this dream list of guests have guessed that we've always wanted on the show and your name sits high atop that list so excited. I'm so grateful that you're bars so loved. Delated delighted to be here. And and to jump exports. And I didn't mean to scare you when you first walked in. I just said I love you. But I do I just love y'all ad. That's always I mean what great greeting your prologue. Why would you get into show business except to screw? I always a people. I ain't giving you that people. There's different levels of stand up comedians. And you have brought the art of stand up comedy to a level. I have never seen before. That's I. Yeah. It some people don't consider it to be sent up comedy. But that is the key to be a comedian. If I can give is just a call, whatever you're doing stand up comedy. Life story. Right. That's what it is. Yes. I think I think it's very funny. I'm a very big fan of because I try so hard some of the time so hard. Not all the time. But the time. Wow. I really put in at least sixty percent. That's pretty good. That's a great percentage. You're so brutally honest on stage. I've never seen anyone as honest during stand up is you. Yeah. That isn't my like, I don't mind sharing personal information. Yeah. At a group level. I love it. I it's a comfort to me. I like to do preventative honesty. These are the things I'm not good at gizine. If anybody's surprised I do open book accounting that were. He was telling the comic earning and who opens for me. And then I tell them, you know, with the breakdown of costars, so they know that I'm not paying them. Well. That's okay. We just have a bit of a weather situation going down there Dwight area, and we have listeners there that listen to it. So we will keep them. Now, there's a special marine warning for marine for burns harbor. Michigan city, Indiana. We'll keep you posted. And trust me, we'll break in and have to interrupt you Maria. Breaking weather happens. Oh, I don't. I don't wanna want people to be endangered just because they have got to hear about my show. Theater the dentist or tonight through Saturday. You want to visit the den theater dot com for all the ticket information. So our dream was went in my dream was to not only have you on the show. But for there to be weather incidents while you're on our show. So this is really the best day ever. Maybe there is a God. Maybe that saying my mom seems to play. Oh, I'm so glad you brought your mama because here's the question. Do your parents. Appreciate what you're doing. I hope they do. Do. They please tell me. Yes. My dad I asked at one point. I said dad, what did you think of my TV show lady dynamite? His he he. And he said. Where you need to do for money. I think I think they are proud. And I I think it by that my mother that I did impersonations of her. And now, she's delighted or if it's she says, she thinks I said something that she didn't say, they just, you know, tell her friends that I'm ridiculous. Now, she she's my love my I love my mama yet. She's very proud. I think I think a lady dynamite you mentioned that Ed Begley junior played your father. And then if I remember this correctly in an episode or two all of a sudden another man was playing your father, and then Ed Begley junior came back was that your real father? And he got really nervous. It was awesome. Got this. He had like a very complicated line about space travel. And anyways, he had to do it about fifteen times to try to get anyway. So it was very sweet. And my dad had his buddies watched the show them all. Ohio and Bill AKA mom. We had we had to turn it off. Just because they didn't you know, we didn't get it. Very happy. For you. Sounds that way. Support your tra- tries, but there's a limit. I was mentioning earlier that you did a comedy special at your mom and dad's place where the audience was comprised just of your mom and dad, and they didn't seem to be enjoying the. I mean, I got them pizza. I got them. Japanese beer, I made cookies I. Each six hundred bucks a month that's above scale over scale and. And still and still not the greatest audience not crowd. Was that idea warmly accepted, though, when you said, I wanna do a special but not in a club and not an amphitheater. I want to do it at my parents place to everybody by that right away. I well for whatever reason. Yeah. I think there's there's so much content right now people are very open. They just want to fill the time. So yeah, they said at the time it was a internet company. And I was I thought what's the easiest EPA show. I could do which closest to my bedroom, and it was actually my own home where shot and then. Died in have to. Weird pressure to performing for a thousand people and then people in really doing the comedy for is my my parents. For them. Watched watch. Like when you're a little kid. Jump in the pool. Watch me I'm doing it again. It's so funny and lady dynamite was something that I watched. I believe our TV critic from decider dot com. Said you should check out this show. So we did we loved it. Watch it with my nineteen year old son. You talked about anxiety, depression, bipolar, and I love it runs in my family. I love that. It's being talked about openly. Yeah. And I think it's so much better than it was when I was growing up. Sucked. It up sucked. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I think yeah. There was all the my mom. I remember she one of my older jokes was like Honey when he had wear makeup you look mentally ill. Now. Put a lineup lipstick around my land. Baby. Look pretty now. It'd be pretty now. But there's some yes, so much stigma about it. But but not as much anymore. I see so many more the t television shows obviously talking about it in. I think comedians may have seen comedians who talk about mental health issues that I haven't heard about such delight. It's like, it's so great. If you were I'm sure stand up in Chicago is like the diversity of like, I'm Muslim I'm schizophrenia schizo festival affective disorder. And I'm also a bisexual, you know. And it's like. Yes. Let's hear about a new experience besides person going through their sock drawer. On the socks were they going? I mean, not that. That's that is true missing. A lot of socks are it is odd. But but it is so delightful to hear different at least as a comedian. There's just so much more. Don't you think you're kind of paving the way saying it's okay to have a flaw and talk about it. You're you're part of God. Yeah. I I think that that's been our artists have always done that. I think that's a Jacobs. Jonathan winters did it when he threw? He was on the Emmys, and he had spent I think almost a year and a psychiatric facility and his first line when he came out on status. I'm. How? A lot a long time ago. And I'm sure before that. So so anyways, we're all. I've yeah, I've definitely benefited from people talking about it. The for me. Excellent..
