"Scott Hamilton showed ESPN in Charleston and you like this shirt that I was wearing today. I didn't get the memo, I would have worn my Tim couch shirt, maybe my Andy Kelly, 'cause he or cozy or snug, whatever that's called, I would have been on point. I'm sorry. I'm surprised that Paul doesn't have a snuggie in here. As cold as it gets in here, all 75 pounds of them. You know how like smoky on the sidelines? Sometimes, has that yellow of the orange snuggie. That would be hilarious to see. This is Jacob Hester. I think it's a prom picture from 1990 9. Back in the day, puka shell necklaces and also I'm a good look for it. I'm glad I got to see it. He actually texted me today. So now I have there you go. I've got to get one of those. Trust me, you can buy this one for me real cheap afterwards. Scott, let's I was in Atlanta, SEC championship game. We've been talking about it, but everyone's been talking about it. Outside looking in, what surprised you the most of what went down in the ATL? It wasn't so much Alabama won. It was just the dominance. I mean, 24 points and a quarter? That's 7 more, 5 more than Georgia had given up in a game all year. I actually predicted I am going to win. I want to go on record. I will pull the audio, I will pull the tweets. I predict a ban on a whim, but I did not expect that. And now I'm wondering where George's heads at. All right, so what was it that you were telling, because everybody was calling into the Paul fine bomb show? And in hindsight it looks great, right? Like in hindsight, I'm thinking about it. Me and Dorian were kicking ourselves on the sideline going, it was the greatest coach of all time. It was a Heisman Trophy. It Sabin versus Kirby. It's Alabama versus Georgia. How do we not see this coming? But yet I didn't, what did you see that I didn't see in many others in that case? I didn't see it like that. What I saw was we had not Georgia hasn't didn't show to me the ability to come back when it mattered. They had not really been down late. I thought this was a game that if they don't put it away by halftime, I thought Alabama would win because Alabama had shown the wherewithal to come back to do it when it counts. Look at the auburn game. Look at LSU the Florida. There were so many games when Alabama was up against it and showed the perseverance to come back and win. We hadn't seen that at Georgia because we didn't need to see that out of Georgia. I just didn't expect it to be put away at halftime, but no, and especially not after a ten O start and you kind of like, all right, after Washington catches that touchdown, you're thinking, all right, this is going to just be Georgia. This is what we expected. Pat on the head for Alabama and all of a sudden like the undertaker. Nick Saban's like, I'm still here. I'm still Nick flippin Sabin in showing up. I mean, we were wondering if they were going to make a playoff or they're not one. And rightfully so, because guess what? He'll end up winning the Heisman. Scott Hamilton, the Scott Hamilton show in ESPN in Charleston joining us. Let's spend this forward. You talked about where Georgia's head is at. It's an interesting matchup against Michigan because I feel like they're almost a very similar team. You got a couple of weeks to rebound is that you think Michigan or are you thinking Georgia gets back into the national championship on? I don't know. I honestly don't know because they are so similar. If I had to bet, though, if I had to bet, I would say Michigan. Because they're playing with house money, man. They are. Nobody expected them to be here. Everybody expected Georgia a week ago to just go ahead and get its coordination. It's inevitable. They've been number one with a bullet. It's basically since they beat Clemson. Season opener. And you know what's funny Peter is I came out of that Clemson game. I actually wondered how much better is Georgia than Clinton at that point. What was it ten to three votes? And of course, everyone said, well, Clemson ended up being a good team. Well, we saw once they got things figured out and kind of midway the season. I mean, listen, if we had a true expanded playoff right now, teams like old miss would be a problem. Teams like Clemson with the way that they were playing would be a problem, but you're right. There were things that we could glimpse at the first part of this game to where like, all right, maybe they're not great, offensively, but defensively, they're elite. Yeah, exactly, exactly. And what Alabama did to exploit that. I don't know if it was so much schematically. I truly think it was a mental thing. Because what did they see that they had not seen all year? Honestly. Other than an elite quarterback who got the ball out of his hands quickly and did Bryce on things. Right. And that's why Bryce young is going to end up winning the Heisman here in a couple of days. Are you a husband voter? I am. No, you're not allowed to say quite yet. You'll be a red dot on my forehead and black helicopters. I'll speak on behalf of Scott who can not divulge his quote or vote, I would say that you have bright young winning. Can I ask if there were at least one defensive player in your list? Yes, you may. Okay. So you had at least one. Did you have multiple? I had one. Okay. You had one. You see, I want to ask if it was will Anderson's. I hope it was, instead of eating Hudson. Let's go to different direction. We're talking so much about Brian Kelly now over in Baton Rouge. We see the news family. We see the news of Billy Napier going to Gainesville. I'm intrigued about what's happening not necessarily in this conference, but in the ACC. Davo just lost Brett venables over to Oklahoma. It appears, there's more movement today right now with that coaching staff. Is that right? Yeah, Tony Elliot's in Charlottesville right now interviewing for the Virginia job. And that's another big hit. Think about this, Peter. The turnover that they're having. And this happens to Sabin every year. Yeah. He goes through this every year. And I said this when they lost to Georgia in that opener. And we started saying chinks in the Clemson armor. I said, we're going to learn who dabo is as a coach now. Sure..

"It is a Paul fine bomb show, Peter burns and my little friend Jacob Hester here. His prom picture just decided to wear the nice stuff here on the show. 8 5 5 two four two Paul is the phone number as always you can hit me up on Twitter at Peter burns ESPN as I don't believe any other LSU players have entered the transfer portal in the last 15 minutes. If they have, we'll go ahead and show you in highlights of it. All right, Brian Kelly, leaving Notre-Dame. Ash is in Birmingham wants to talk about it. What's up ash? Hi, mister Barnes. Thank you for taking my call. I'd like to discuss the Brian Kelly Lee Notre-Dame. And I think I have a little different take. Ryan Kelly was at 92 wins. Could this be Notre-Dame? Leave getting him to leave, basically. On a good note, of course. But do not brighten newt rottens. Total wins at Notre-Dame, which was one O 5, I believe. Yeah, so it goes back and forth because Brian, I think if I'm not mistaken Notre-Dame has already acknowledged that because they did have some wins that were vacated at some point, but I'm not quite sure how that comes into it. Again, it's not as crazy as a conspiracies theory that we just had from a color that said Georgia and Kirby let Bama win so they can that they could get them into the college football playoff. I'm not buying that one. And I'm not buying about it had to do what they wanted Brian Kelly out. I think Brian Kelly tipped off everybody when he said alignment alignment alignment in his opening press conference. I don't think him and Notre-Dame will no longer align with what they need to compete in this level. To compete against Clemson and we saw it a couple years ago, they got blown out to compete against Alabama to compete against national championship contending teams. You have to have the recruits to do it and you have to have the facilities. And I think Brian Kelly went up to Notre-Dame and went to the administration and said, I need this this and this. Nick Saban did it in Tuscaloosa and look what worked out, right? Kirby did it in Athens when he took over and it's trending in the right direction. Even Jimbo Fisher doing that at a and M I think that he went to Notre-Dame and they're like, all right, and then at some point, he says, all right, I'm going to leave and I think honestly that they may have called his bluff, and now LSU gets an opportunity to have a Hall of Fame coach at the helm and the two two 5. Going to be a lot of rebuilding there in Baton Rouge, but maybe that's what that program need taking two steps backwards to go ahead and take four or 5 steps forward. All right. Thank you very much. You got it. Thanks for the phone call, man. Let's go ahead and take another phone call. David, thanks for joining Peter burns in here on the Paul 5 bomb show. What's up, David? How did Peter, thanks for taking my call. You got a man? I wanted to get a question answered. Has any team ever had running back receiver and a quarterback as a Heisman Trophy winner? Boy, I tell you what, I got to go through and you guys can Google this quicker than I can. I can't recall that because obviously you'll have devonta, you'll have Mark Ingram and you'll have Bryce win it. In Hindi as well too. So I don't believe that's been the case. 'cause I'm starting thinking about the different wide receivers that have won it and who else their teams would have been paired with. I can't come up with any that come to mind. I mean, obviously with Bo Jackson and cam, those end up being close, but obviously no wide receiver in that group. Yes. And only a little bit fearful of his Heisman thing since they put a different defensive player in above Anderson, not that the kid didn't deserve some recognition, but you know we always feel like the Bama haters are out there waiting for any opportunity. And I'm going against the previous call saying that their bias for Alabama. Yeah, I mean, thank you, David, for the phone call. And I think that's what happened. I think that people that have regionalized votes said, listen, am I really going to vote for Bryce young and will Anderson now? Okay, I'll give Bryce the vote, then I want to defensive player, and even though I'm not going to vote for will Anderson, which they should have 40 more tackles than Aiden Hutchinson, they go with the defensive player in aid and then at that point, then it's just kind of luck of the draw who else was going to be invited. And listen, it's unfortunate. It's even more if you need a chip on the shoulder and not that this Alabama team has it. You could say that to will Anderson but will Anderson was kind of like, I mean, I talked to him on the show on SEC this morning. He could care less, right? He's like, it doesn't bother me whatsoever. Let's take another phone call. Chuck is in Georgia. Thanks for joining us. What's up, man? Chuck, you there, bud? Yeah, I'm here. Hey, Peter. You found bomb better to watch out. You doing a great job today. Man, Paul Paul's going to be like Saban. They're both going to retire in the year 2062. So he's safe to say the least chuck. Hey, let me preface this by saying I'm not a Georgia nor an Alabama fan. I guess it also played first. But I thought it was interesting. No one had really talked about normally I would say defense wins championship games, but I've got to hand it to siphon. He had a great offensive scheme coming into this game. And I think probably the blueprint he used, it feels like about this. Who is the team that scored the most points against Jordan? I mean, Tennessee did it right off the bat, right? The idea, they scored 17 and remember they were in the red zone twice, which would have been 14 more points because went for it on fourth down now to Georgia's credit. Georgia stopped him. They got the best defense I've seen in 50 years. But I just thought it was interesting to Sabin sort of use the Tennessee plan. Tennessee said, hey, I'm not going to miss that defensive line. They spread the field. They use their speed, Alabama kind of did the same thing. So I think that probably Saban did his homework and really came up with a great plan based on what he saw Tennessee. Chuck, I'm glad you brought that up and thank you for the phone call and it's a very astute point you bring up because you're saying that he did his homework and it's not only Nick Saban, but it's what Nick Saban has built more importantly behind the scenes..

"Okay, we're just talking SEC. I think there's an unfortunate, lesser of two evils. LSU makes a lot of hay be in the other national champion in the conference, right? I guess all of her not too long ago, I don't know if we're just talking from a threat standpoint, right? It's one thing for Alabama to win another one. I don't know. What is that? Let's say it's like ten, right? So that represents 10% more championships in the last 20 years. If Georgia wins one, you are talking about a 100% increase in the last 40 years. And Kirby already has that thing rolling. And Brian Kelly isn't just stepping into the SEC for the west. I mean, he has to go through the east eventually as well. So I don't know if I need Georgia. And this is from like a very LSU centric fan perspective here. I don't know if I need Georgia winning that national championship. And you know my feelings on Alabama. So for me to say that, well, it means a lot. I do want to be clear about this though. Anybody who is saying that stetson Bennett is the problem with Georgia, a loss of game for Georgia. I mean, did stenson Bennett play 5 times 6 times worse than he did all year? No, the Georgia defense did. We can't spend all year praising them and then scapegoat them with stents and Bennett when they give up 34 and just get outran by Alabama. The last thing were you shocked, I mean, hindsight, of course, is always going to be 2015, not even 2020, but that Dan landing in Georgia weren't a little bit more aggressive towards Bryce and played a little bit more conservative of giving him kind of free reign, which Jameson Williams was incredible. Or is that just, hey, looking in the past going, they did it all season alone. Why do I change it? Well, okay, I do think there's definitely an element of that, right? Because you were so dominant all year long. I mean, you're gonna do what you do. I think what you also saw, think about this, maybe. What you saw Saturday is not that unlike what you saw in the 2011 national championship. And I'm talking about a team that looked so dominant. All year long and then look so foreign in this game against Nick Saban and Alabama and that's the point. When you get the full focus and the intensity of Sauron's gaze when he's not distracted or looking left or right or looking at this, they're like, when he fully focuses that vision on you, it is withering and you saw that with Georgia. I'd be fascinated to see if they rematch in Alabama's on the other side of that revenge equation. How that plays out differently, but look, there is nothing that Nick Saban loves more than being an underdog. It is fuel for his miserable, wildly successful soul. And fuel for this show as well too. I think is what a 193 games that Sabin has had, something along those lines and he was head coach at Alabama. He's been the underdog, I believe, 5 times. He's won for those outright, not too bad there. T bob, congratulations on continue to carry Jacob Hester in your show each and every morning, man. We appreciate the time, right? Hey, PB, I love watching you and CD in the morning of the studio as well. And I hope you'll have a wonderful day. I have Merry Christmas. I don't see you before then tea bob a bear joining us. More your phone calls coming up, you want to react to that. You can hit me up.

"5 bomb show Peter burns and for mister Paul finebaum and by the way, I've got to declare myself the idiot that I am. I earlier had said Freddie roach and Brent key and my wife texted me and she goes you idiot has Doug marrone in the offensive line. So very impressive that my wife would call me out early and now you know I already did a die hard Alabama crimson tide fan. All right, let's talk a little LSU football on the other side. T bob aber joining me right now. Team bob just who's actually got a better outfit today is that your Christmas sweater are my Jacob Hester 1999 prom frosted tips, sure. What do you think? I mean, look, frosted tips is a Trump card that and as much as I love this sweater, I don't even know if I can compete at the frozen dips, but you may see the snowflakes, but check this out. Oh, a little Star Wars the death star, the French run. I got the imperials here, the alliance here, let's ride dude. It's that time of year, bro. The alliance, I didn't even see the Big Ten or the ACC or the PAC 12 logo there. That's impressive, my friend. All right, has anybody else within the last 5 minutes transferred out of vela shoe? We saw the news that max Johnson, late yesterday and some other players, what's happening? It's not great PB, but I do think that this is a byproduct of true regime change, right? And that's where this gets interesting for LSU is that you really have to go back to and Nick Saban arrived in the year 2000 to find true regime change. So here locally, this feels very odd because when you went from saving to miles, you kept a lot of connective tissue because Saban didn't get fired. It wasn't broken. It was rolling right along. He got a promotion. He went to the NFL. When you went from miles to oge Ron, you kept almost everything. You really, in that case, just needed a change at the head. You just needed a CEO change. What Brian Kelly has taken over is something more chaotic, more broken and more in need of sweeping change. It's all I've been talking about it for weeks. This attrition that you're seeing now is not unexpected. And we said it. It's going to hurt. There is still probably more on the way, but you made this move. Knowing this attrition would come in order to be better in the long term. Yeah, see bob, it feels like hey, you know, he bought a house and an unbelievable neighborhood. He looked at it and he's like, well, you know what? The bones of this house are great, but we are revamping everything. We're going to have the knock down some walls and that's what they're doing right now. But the thing that I didn't understand though, max Johnson was a starter. By all accounts, it felt like he had told Brian Kelly, hey, listen, I'm good. I'll be here. And then all of a sudden, something's changed. I don't understand the timing of that before. It offensive coordinator was named unless names have been floated out there in the Johnson family said, nah, that's just not going to be a good fit. I mean, it's potentially that it might not even be that complicated though, right? It could be a situation where sure early on max was like, yeah, I'm in, I'm in, right? And then he starts to think about it more, some new hires get made, maybe like a Tommy moff at least. I mean, let's really take a step back and look at max's two years at LSU. I use the word chaos earlier. And what a tumultuous time. It has been for max Johnson. I mean, I'm talking about constant turnover of coaches. I'm talking about 500 football two years in a row, which is almost unheard of at LSU. I'm talking about negative fan noise, negative media coverage constantly, right? Because nothing angers a fanbase more than where you land in relation to expectations. And 500 football two years following national championship is very far below. So it's been toxic and he's been centered unfairly a lot of times at the center of that toxicity. So I kind of get it, man. Everybody else is hitting the change of pace. Everybody else is getting new scenery. Like, I don't think it's too hard to understand why max wants to leave. Unfortunately, I also don't think that there is any way of spinning this into being a positive at all for LSU. Yeah, I mean, listen, no one's going to want to replace Nick Saban the legend after that. That's going to be tough. No one's going to want to replace Paul fine bump from this chair because of the legend that he's become as well. And it's tough to replace the legend of Joe burrow. And unfortunately, max Johnson had that opportunity. And miles burn into a certain extent and it has struggled a little bit. How about some positive? The hiring of Frank Wilson, I saw Leonard fournette. I saw everybody. Jacob Hester, talking about, hey, they went and got that guy. Clyde Edwards a layer was talking about going, oh, lord, they end up gotten Frank. What does Frank mill Wilson mean to this program and how can that help Brian Kelly? I mean, he means everything, right? A good leader will always look to supplement his weaknesses to shore up his weaknesses. Well, what did everybody say with Brian Kelly was higher? How would the Fitbit? Would he fit in? Does he know Louisiana? You know who fits in? You know who knows Louisiana inside and out? Who has connections that run deeper? I mean, the saint all grad. Frank Wilson. And not only does he know the entire state, but he specifically knows New Orleans, right? In the West Bank. And you have to be able to succeed all over Louisiana, but you especially have to be able to succeed in New Orleans if you want to be the LSU head football coach. And there's reason why a guy like tyron came out and was so glowing in the hiring of Frank. And that's because Frank Wilson is the only reason why Tyra Matthew even ended up at LSU. He had to beg less miles to take this one star cat, tyron Matthews. So not only will he get you the big names, but he can find these diamonds in the rough and most importantly he opened doors that would have been closed to Brian Kelly. Otherwise, and he closes doors that people like Nebraska and hiring Mickey Joseph, especially Florida high range of bar. Like it is a direct refutation of those hires in bringing Frank Wilson and you can already see the New Orleans recruiting team heating up a bit. Yeah, Jarvis Landry Devin white, those guys, and part of the reason why Nick Saban had it so good is that he wasn't letting those guys out. You've seen Dylan Moses and devonta Smith and some of those guys go back in Louisiana and poor guys out. Maybe that's not the case with Frank Wilson over there at the helm with recruiting. All right, let's spend this big picture now. SEC championship, we saw it went down, are you pulling for a Georgia Alabama rematch or something completely.

"I figured I'd dress up real nice and bring in that huge demographic there in the Shreveport area for today's show. As always, you can hit me up on Twitter at Peter burns ESPN. We're going to get into some of the big storylines going out. But right now, breaking news, if you see the SEC Twitter account, they're starting to tweet this. The 2021 SEC football awards are out. Shocker, Bryce young, going to be the offensive player of the year. Imagine a Heisman soon to follow. Defensive player of the year will Anderson probably should have been in New York City along with Bryce for the Heisman. We'll discuss that today. Co special, special teams player of the year, that is goes to jamison Williams. We saw some huge play in SEC championship. He realized Jones junior is the co special teams player of the years. We start flipping it to the other side, freshmen of the year. My God a freshman Brock Bowers. I think he had like 93 touchdowns so far this season. Great to see him and see what he can do against the Michigan wolverines later on. Scholar athlete of the year. Well, Tyler Beatty not only did he dominate the classroom, but 5, 200 yard plus games on the ground for the Missouri tigers. Great to see him get that. Darien canard, who is a mountain of a human being, wins the Jacob blocking trophy. And I'm sure there will be some phone calls about this. SEC coach of the year awarded to Kirby smart. All right, really, the only kind of, I guess where people will have an issue is going to be SEC coach of the year. We saw some going down to probably the last week or two. We saw there was chances that Mark stoops could have got it without the season Kentucky had Josh hypo in the way volunteers were starting to get their offense going. Shane beamer had they beat clumsy. That was a heck of a job for the game Cox to go bowling in their first year. Nick Saban, of course, what he did, and the SEC championship game, but not shocked that it would go to Kirby smart. Undefeated regular season, fantastic for them. The problem is, is what happened in Atlanta. The good news is that he's still got a two game tournament to win a national championship, something that they haven't done since 1980. And by the look of the calls already, people are fired up about it. 8 four four two four two Paul is the number, but let's get you the highlights and headlines that's going on right now. Just a normal slow day in Baton Rouge. LSU starting quarterback, max Johnson has entered the transfer portal. Of course, Brian Kelly just took over that job. They have not hired a new offensive coordinator yet. Kind of curious about the timing of that. We'll discuss that coming up a little bit later in today's show. More headlines going on right now. Jeff levy to the sooners, reportedly, a done deal. Let me did a fantastic job with that offense alongside lane, kiffin, making Mac Carell. A fantastic player. That offense never really skipped a beat all season long, allegedly going to be joining Brent Vinnie's. And boardroom had a really interesting topic earlier today. College football's destination job era is dead. If you look at guys going from Notre-Dame out to LSU, Oklahoma, which was a blue blood losing their head coach, of course, Lincoln Riley headed out west. And then Mario Cristobal, with all the Nike money saying, you know what? I want to head back home. Well, it is all about family and those guys are getting paid extremely well to say at least in everybody's getting raises. Bryce young, when I asked this week during media availability, he said that he was surprised that will Anderson was not among one of the Heisman Trophy finalists. Now, will Anderson ever the gracious human being said, listen, it's all in God's plan. Hey, we straight. That's exactly his words talking about how Bryce was the only teammate in that group that was headed to New York City. But Aiden Hutchinson in there and not will Anderson, I got some issues with that. And how about this? WWE has unveiled the inaugural NIL class featuring 15 collegiate athletes. The NIL standing for next in line. So basically wrestling has a pipeline now and they're going to some of these athletes and a couple of different SEC athletes. Big Glenn Logan over at LSU. Is he a couple of football players along with Dalton Wagner? He'll be joining us a little bit later on the show to talk about it. Beside Russell, Riley white, some track and field star. So a little something different. We'll get your thoughts on that 8 5 5 two four two Paul is a phone number. In fact, let's go ahead and go ahead and show you the guest list of what we got. T bob a bear will I'm sure compliment you on my Jacob Hester T-shirt coming up in a little bit. Josh pay, the biceps in the renaissance season of 24/7 sports will join us in the second hour. Scott Hamilton will be in here from ESPN radio Charleston. He'll join me in studio. Dalton Wagner. How about they hog? He is now the newest member of the WWE. That just sounds weird to say. I'm excited to see how that deal came up. Barry Trammell get his thoughts on, are they really naming part of a highway in Oklahoma? Three inches of it after Lincoln Riley and Michael Katz, northeast Mississippi daily journal will join us in the last hour, talk about Jeff levy potentially headed over to Norman, Oklahoma and where does lane kiffin go from there? Let's get some of your phone calls in early. Let's go coach J, thanks for joining Peter burns in for Paul fine Bond. What's up, coach? Glad Jones show. If you're doing this, just a couple quick things, do you know the offensive line close to the defensive line coaches made for Alabama? Not off the top of my head. You're stumping me right now. I've been so caught up in Bill O'Brien and Pete Golding in those guys. But why? Why are you bringing that up? Yeah, don't feel alone. I'm an Alabama fan and I don't use it. So but we've heard so much of the game as far as the SKU players last from which had tremendous escape, but I believe the game was actually warned by those two choices. That yesterday was to replay the game and I remember day from our coast to move our state millimeter planes from the previous game of slaves and you could start. And we picked the Alabama Georgia stunt better. It is a picked up anything all year. And the things that provide some stuff that I hadn't seen all year, but I mean, was that that offensive defensive line, the one they played, rosslyn has a chance to do what he did. I mean, he says great ball player and he deserves all the credit. But I don't think enough credits given that offensive line approach and that defensive line goes forward pay for forward or highlight for serving at yank one of fundamentals. The hiring of winnable to Oklahoma has he has he not been with debo the whole time he's been lost at a constant been there a long time, especially since I started taking off. That's correct, Joe. He's going react and the situations don't be very just say the losers coordinators every year. And this is really the first big coordinated he's lost, and I just want to have that as my first team in the long run. And I appreciate everyone. You got it. We were talking earlier too, and it was ended up being Brent key and coach roach over there on that offensive defensive line. I want to start with that about the difference in that game and I'm with you. I mean, how much is the cliche about, you know, hey, it's a line of scrimmage league, and there was no doubt. I mean, you were kind of wondering what Georgia was going to be able to do against that offensive line. They protected them really well. I was just more surprised that Dan landing wasn't more aggressive. Against an Alabama team that had struggled a little bit. You were clearly the kind of the alpha dog coming in and yet you decided to play conservative and late into the game, all of a sudden, when they needed some stops, that's actually when they started throwing a little bit more pressure, but at that point it had been too late. Regarding dabo, it is interesting, right? Because now you have his worst year in a while. There's talk about Tony Elliot potentially going to Virginia. We see Brent vinay's headed out. That's always been something that Nick Saban has had no problem dealing with. The only issue is, Nick Saban can do it successfully in the hardest division in the hardest conference of college. Football. Right now, who in the ACC is really going to even give Davos winning a run right now. I don't see pit doing that. They lose Kenny Pickett. I don't see wake forest doing that with losing Hartman. So again, not going to be necessarily the hardest job over there in Clemson for dabo because I imagine somebody else is going to want that gig..

"Say it wouldn't be as special especially. Could you imagine poke your chest out a little bit more than everybody else. Ever years yeah. Unbelievable don't overcomplicate it man. I'm trying to make it easy for you. Steve i and you're saying he should be a fan of the alabama crimson tide which again. Hey listen it's hard. It's hard not to say what's in your favor right. You have the greatest coach in the history of of the game college football. That's nick sabin. You have a team. That is very interesting coming into the year right. I mean you. Can't you gotta situation where now. It's bryce young's team you got marrone. You've got bill o'brien calling the plays you have nausea gone devante on wattle gone. You got a great game right off the bat a miami. I'm there are reasons to be a of the alabama crimson tide fan base however. How does that make you feel ban wagging a little bit. I think it's bandwagoning a lot. There's definitely more intrigue going into this alabama college football season than most. But that doesn't mean that. I'll you know. Feel super proud of myself for picking an underdog if they ended up winning it all just because they had some changes. Go on over the offseason. They've had that many times and they keep winning. I said that in in listen. I'm married to an alabama fan. So i filled by proxy. I can talk for her Lauren burns die hard. Like roll. Tide lifer right like she's already indoctrinating. Oliver kids like anytime sweet home. Alabama comes up. She holds up her kids. Like move fos in the lion king like listen to it. It's great right so the this indoctrination is already happening in our household. However i will say over the last couple of years probably the last three or four years alabama has all these like they they have what i call laundry games that they've they've blown their opponent out so bad that by the third quarter. She's she's doing her laundry and go. This is not fun. is this fun for you. She's like it's fun winning. And i i get that right but like the the result was already like done by mid part of the second quarter like the good thing cam if you become an lsu fan you don't know what the hell is going to show up every single day. You're like hey this could be feast or famine. We saw title a couple years ago. We saw just gotten we lost a mike leach right off the bat like you will be entertained as lsu fan. I'm not sure if it's good for your heart or your psyche but you need to kind of think about that during this the selection process. Yes steve does. Make a good point. I have enough stress in my life as in philly sports fan. The sixers this year obviously huge. The phillies are five. Hundred right now. They're not much to write home about the eagles the past couple of years since the super bowl have been an absolute mess. Steve makes a good point. Maybe i should just sit on top of the mountain. Top for one of my Fan bases if you do that then. You could be a clemson tigers fan because they don't play anybody worth a damn in the acc that's true and then and then i can rack up dabbagh when he says. Oh wait wait. Don't make the schedule. You get wh actually he does right but yes you get that one game. If you're clemson fan you get one game your little bit nervous right off the bat even though it's pretty much already foregone conclusion the georgia's going to be clemson but after that it's kind of smooth sailing until the college football playoff maybe the acc championship. Maybe maybe kinda but now that notre dame is out there you could just relax. That might be another intriguing choice for you. Eight five five four two. Paul is the phone number eight five five to four to seventy to eighty five richardson there. We'll see a couple of other calls on. Hold hang tight. I i would think that you might want to look at the competition. Levels at first season plays toughest competition that in mind. I'm i'm gonna point directly at lsu. And all i mean. Lsu place. Florida but play alabama the play over the play in the toughest division in in in the world in in college football. You got the auburn tigers. I play alabama georgia. Lsu year in year out. That's the way it is and And and you know it's it's about the level of competition you you're not gonna win them all but i tell you what you can go in their fight like hell and break a few knows and there's some there's a lot of satisfaction in that and and i tell you auburn and lsu are always in the conversation always in the compensation and you have the eagle at all. There's nothing like that. Tell you when you walk through the tunnels and you walk into jordan hair. I mean there's there's a there's a place that you feel like you're in the in the same way.

"Or it's monday. Friday doesn't matter. Day ends in y peter burns in for mr paul finebaum eight five five two four two. Paul is the phone number as we are weak away from sec media days. We didn't get a chance to have it last year. I felt robbed right last year. Is kind of our our homecoming. Everybody gets a chance to talk to the coaches the players the medium members. Yeah there's a lot of echo chamber stuff that goes around but a lot of kind of behind the scenes conversations that help us know a little bit more about these teams like. I'll never forget the time that i ran into mark stoops at sec media days this is gonna say twenty seventeen or twenty eighteen and he was upset. I mean totally ticked off and this is not on camera. This is behind the scenes and a little kind of private little area. We have and i go coach. What's wrong like what are you good like. I mean somebody upset you. And he just goes on a tirade just talking about nobody's giving my guys any respect and you gotta realize as ridiculous and blah blah blah and. It was that moment that i realized knowing mark stoops the way i know him that oh kentucky's about to be pretty damn good now remember. That was the year they won ten games right and so it's those little nuances those little conversations. Those little nuggets that you get from media days of seeing how a team is reacting. How a coach wants to talk about his team's like if you read between the lines you can actually tell a lot about somebody's team after they get past all the cliches eight five five two four two. Paul is the number. Richard alabama. Stephen alabama will get to your phone calls in a second. But i see jim in tuscaloosa is this. Is this right.

"We got robert so you. So you're you're going auburn as well too. So can't another vote for cam to adopt to the philly kid to adopt bar but a totally different reason. Well i agree with everything eighty fifth. I'm gonna put another spin on it. back in nineteen eighty seven Saint joe's with does not have a football team that allowed their student body because both on what football team was they adopt and follow for the year and they sold it for all as a matter of fact they sent a contingent of students and the saint joe's falk mississippi state game in eighty seven. And of course he flaps his wings or the entire game in the south ends up so that would be sort of a full circle for fila guy. Consider that saint joe's in nineteen eighty seven off at all. is there football team. Robert from alabama. How about that cam. Are you all in now. I'm auburn's gotta be the front runner. We had back to back. Callers say auburn. Robert did tell me that when i when i first picked up the phone. He told me that story. So i'm feeling more and more inclined to hop on the bandwagon. I am slightly concerned that the expectations are a good season. Would be seven. Wins this this through this coming up here on on the show. I think that number is a little low. And i'll tell you why on the other side eight five five two four two paul as the number eight five five to four to seventy to eighty five. Should cam dr auburn or another team. Also talk name image likeness and college football playoff expansion.

Am i actually sitting in on paul sitting. Sounds like you're like shadowing him or something. Yeah and like. I'm listening in on his meeting or something so understood kind of like say just listening in paul's conversations honestly if i could hack anybody's phone poles phone would be a pretty good one to hack like the amount of high level conversations that he has right. I would imagine that diesel one do sound kind of like a fly on the wall when you're saying i'm sitting in on though. So maybe verbiage is efforting Appreciate that now. I'm going to get a call from. Hr you can't say you're hacking people's phones. Okay i understand. I'll sign the paper. We're going to get back into the studios. Peter burns in for paul finebaum today. Eight five five two four two paul as the number eight five five to four to seventy to eighty five. I do coming up in a couple of minutes. Wanna talk about the different story lines as we are just a week away from media days Obviously everything's gonna start with with alabama. Yes i know. They don't get there until day three. It's wednesday against it. But when you're as good of a program as alabama when you've had the success the conversations will start with how do they replace everyone right. And i think the big conversation will be had about the relationship with bryce young and bill. O'brien right brand. New offensive play caller How much of the playbook does he continue to use How much did bryce last year learn when he got an opportunity to play. When nine thousand of the blowouts at alabama had is he ready to take the mantle and be the next great alabama quarterback. More your phone calls on that and more eight five five two four. Two paul is the number. Also asked y'all cam. The philly producer here needs to adopt an sec team for twenty twenty one. He doesn't have one yet. florence alabama. We go to jd jd. What team should see cam adopt this year. I paid or how you doing. What's up man. Happy summer to you. My friend thank you. I really enjoy jor watching. Sec channel two. We try to fake it occasionally. So i appreciate that. I hear you. I think i got it figured out for cam. It took a while. I had to listen. I drive a lot and I think i've got it narrowed down to who he needs to pick. Of course we're talking about sec. And if you're a little sec. I know you're picking georgia And that's i think that's a very fair prediction. However if he's going to adopt a team he needs to go to the west because the west is always the strongest. you get to see great games every week. A team over there has tradition. You know couple of heisman trophy winners. maybe three. you need attain. This won the national championship in the last twenty years. But more importantly you need a team has a gut wrenching robbery that every once in a while you bathe him and when you do. It's almost like you're cured. Kovin that teams auburn tigers. Jd that is pretty damn spot on right. Because for every single one of those reasons cam. I feel like that's a that's a pretty heavy. Push there for for. Brian horsens team. I gotta say if these finebaum callers find themselves in need of work any kind of salesman. I think would be a great option for them. I i'm feeling tugged at from all angles here and i know where to go now. Jd real quick. Are you an auburn fan yourself. I am an auburn fan. Have been many iron bows and i have traveled across. Sec to most of most all of the venues haven't been. I haven't been to south carolina but every other van you. I've been to all right. So i have to say it. You know auburn is been known as one of the toughest place to play. Also if cams able to attend the game he won't believe how loud it is It amen to that especially coming out of a year that we didn't get a chance to have many fans if any at all in some of these stadiums last thing for your jd. Fill in the blank auburn's first year on a brian. Harrison is a success if they win blank amount of games. The schedule and as you will know it's sec. Games are crazy I think if he if he wins. Seven games i really. I will really be impressed. Considering we've got new coordinators new the this you know really offensive line. That's the big issue And so i think if he went seven games and the right seven. I'll be really happy And i can't wait you know. Obviously opening up against the zips of akron than alabama state should be to in over that game up in I i think it's happy valley against penn state in weeks three has a real quick way to make You're welcome Pretty damn happy there for auburn fans shady. Thank you for the phone call. let's go robert in alabama. Thanks for joining. Peter burns here on the paul finebaum show. What do you got for me robert there. Hey it's It's an honor to talk. "But that's how kirby's done it it feels like over the last couple years. That's how kirby has approached it to where you know. Listen saving at some point to said. Screw it on mike tyson. I've got a better punch in. I'm just gonna deliver knockout blows on the first part of the game and that's why they need to be a little bit more. Like what alabama is building in tuscaloosa jacob. Hester joining peter burns here on the paul finebaum. Show hester win looking at lsu in am. I have no idea what to think of either one of the east teams because it feels like they're stable. Other jimbo fisher. But where's that next level and for lsu it's like the opposite right like it's like some isotope on the periodic table that i'm like i have no idea how crazy this thing could be like. What what are you expecting out of both of these programs. It's a great question because there's a lot to be answered there with texas am. Let's take them i. Their schedule is really favorable for them. They can't stay. You've got colorado neutral site game. You've got new mexico so your non conference looks pretty good Your toughest games for the most part in the sec are at home there in college station. You go to ole miss and to lsu toughest road game so the schedule looks nice there. But we've only known kelham on to be quarterback at texas a and m what it feels like to be the last seventeen college football seasons. And so now you have to have another quarterback now we all know. Jimbo does a great job. We can go all the way. Back to auburn days. Damian craig is days with rohan davey and jamarcus russell. Florida state every quarterback with first round draft pick. So jimbo can develop a quarterback but in this new age college. Football right because jinja jimbo's had to kind of change some of the things that he's done like jimbo used to be. We're going to be twelve personnel with two tight ends. Twenty-one personnel with a fullback play action. Pass all that type of stuff. Well obviously cost football's evolves so can he evolve quarterback in this day and age. That's going to be something to pay attention to so it's really going to be okay. What do they get the quarterback position. Because i feel like texting name is really good at running back. They've got a good front seven on defense. They can win games other ways but to win a championship. It has to be a quarterback. Take that position over and really when you look at it. Lsu it's a weird situation the fact that you have options a quarterback rides for so long for a decade plus. It was like. Can you find a quarterback at lsu and now you're looking at miles brennan. You look innomax. Johnson and i do truly believe the offense is going to really change depending on which quarterback they picked because they're not the same quarterback and so if it's going to be maxed and the placing look a lot different than if it's mile so that's obviously a big question there but lsu just gotta give better defensively like we know they got the jimmy's and joe's on offense like we saw keisha on boots a half three hundred plus yards against ole miss and they outdueled ole miss and florida at the end of the season but their defense. Pb was historically bad last year. Like we all know that we saw what bo plenty did that defense was given up points to everybody they played. They've gotta get just a little bit. But it's kind of like the same thing with ole miss right. You don't have to be world jimmy. Just gotta go from dead last two like fiftieth in the country. And you're gonna win more games than you want a year ago. So there's definitely questions for both teams. Both teams schedules actually have some. They're bigger games. I'm not their biggest games at home. So you like it there. But it's gonna be for am in the quarterback step up for lsu which quarterback wins the battle. What's the offense point to look like he. Can they tackle anybody. Can they cover anybody and if somebody goes in motion. Pb there's all hell break loose. Yeah they all hell broke loose la- last year for the lsu tigers. I went back and watch. Lsu ole miss game and it was just ridiculous. It should've had like that that that then that data like the circus music being played in the background last. Maybe the most important question. For jacob hester with peter burns here filling in on the paul finebaum show. Is i. ask this question to chris doering. Who is my co host for. Sec this morning and we do the show. Every single morning on sirius xm and it led to a big debate. And i figured nobody better to ask than you when looking at roster of coaches one through fourteen all the way down during an i couldn't agree best. Looking coach is whom all we're talking about like physical appearance just talking about yet like the most handsome coach in the sec. Type these are the type really hard hitting conversations that me enduring have in the morning sometimes That you're no longer part of those conversations. So i figured nobody would know better than you. You're good you're good gauge of a of a male manliness. Yeah i mean. I mean hartson had auburn. You know i mean he looks like store. I like he just got the look. He looks clink kat. Every time i speak every time he talks like he could be reading like an instruction manual be like that guy knows what the hell he's talking about like i can put together a toilet like that just like. That's he is right..

"I mean they're definitely a chance when team playoff the you can't that so i cancelled patrick. Is saying i thought from calling tuscaloosa. Who's gonna say alabama but he said no Go inside the system and go to you a b. You could be a blazer right. Yes so something i'm noticing is that Jeff from columbus said you know. Don't pick georgia you're gonna be letdown slash disappointed. Will i not be led down slash disappointed. No matter who i pick if it's not alabama Well let's ask that question to jacob hester joining us right now lots martyr man when it comes to football then myself Hester i i've already proclaimed it. I'll say it at media days next week of set it on my show on sirius. Xm which he no longer listen to. Because you in t- bob baer are doing the same timeslot there in baton rouge. I think georgia wins the national title this upcoming season. I don't think that's necessarily state secrets. It's not The seventy five to one longshot. Will you know is it is. It is a georgia and everybody else or what needs to be had in a conversation talking to contenders here in this conference that i leave them speechless. I think i left him speechless. That's what it was We're going to be. We're gonna get jacob. Hester back here as i just saw his His phone just dropped gotta love Vacation opportunities there whatever the cell phone gets out eight five five two four. Two paul is the number. That's eight five. Five to four to seventy to eighty five. And the reason why i say that and again the uab thing is really interesting to me because you think about what happens with georgia is something did go sideways against clemson talk about the ultimate look ahead game are not look ahead but kind of a hangover game. Right georgia clemson right off the bat in charlotte and the next week you a beach is kind of quietly comes in athens. That's going to be a fantastic game coming up on september the eleventh jacob. Hester back with us here. On the paul finebaum show georgia and everybody else or who. Is that everybody else right now. Hester what's going on tv. I thought you hung up on me for a second there. But i'm glad to be on with you and i'd love to talk choice. You football here You you know in the east. It really looks like it is georgia at everybody else will have to see because florida's gonna go. Emory jones goes at quarterback. And it's a unique situation there because he's been there for so long but he's obviously never been the guy you know. Is that experience. That he's got coming in and his package is going to benefit him or is he still got to kinda hit reset considering he's going to be a starter for the first time so florida's got a lot of questions that have to be answered for me. I do think kentucky and mizzou are both getting better. I think they'll probably surprise team or to not only in the east but throughout the sec. It's not gonna be enough to overtake georgia. So georgia's get just gotta stay on their path. I heard you mentioned in the clemson game. Look we all know they could go out there lose football game and still be in in complete control their own destiny so georgia's just has to focus in play the four year. They can't have that letdown like they seem to have in the regular season right. They can't lose to south carolina with a backup quarterback. They have to get over that. Get over that. Hough play a full year with their mindset. That they're national champs bus type mentality. I think they'll behoove them if they're able to do that. Let me ask you so when you when y'all wanna the title did it feel special from the geico with that with that. Oh seven lsu team or did you have to grow into the role of knowing. Oh by the way this this building into something special so for us. It was a unique feeling because the oh sixteen l. shoe the team. That won the shirt. it's notre dame. everyone said. They lost too much talent from that team. We have four first round picks and so for us our mentality. The entire season was okay. It was proved them wrong. Let's show them that. We don't have to have four first round picks to be a national championship team and so for us. It kind of started in that all season and then throughout that season as played out. You just felt like we were a team that just had to end. The season hoisting the national championship trophy. Look to losses. But it didn't matter like we've found our way and she that championship game and so for us. I think it started really in january right after that. That sugar bowl because we knew we're going to hear the talk of losing your marcus. Rosso laurent laurent landry. Buster davis all these Dwayne bowe all these first round picks and so we wanted to prove from the get go that we didn't need to have all his first round picks great players and we were a great team six but we wanted to prove ourselves to bear own team in seven so we had a little bit different mentality and look. If you're georgia fan. You want them to have that mentality right last year. You were a good football team but you can be better right. You've got jt daniels for a full season. All those things be. That's the mentality that they have to have. It has to be championship or bus for them this year. What's crazy right. It's passer fail because his passer failed. Grits for alabama football. Did you win a championship pass. Did you not want to championship. You failed. I mean that's how simple it is. And that's why sabin has become the greatest coach in the history of the game and the reason why they've had what twenty nine. Sec titles now. My question now for georgia is. I almost feel hester that we're going to know how georgia's season plays out in like the first six minutes of that clemson game on whether or not they doubt themselves or whether or not it's pedal to the metal they're gonna kick some ass in. It's just you're along for the ride to to watch the trophy celebration. No i completely agree with you. Like we're gonna know within the six minutes of the first quarter okay. Todd mahnken really going to be allowed to run his full offense. Is he going to be allowed on. Certain threes to throw the football down the field and not have a running play to try to play it safe like i think we'll know that from the gig. Oh i'd love to see todd monk and be able open it up to be his full self with jt danza quarterback. Look we know the options that they have a running back and receiver jemaine. Burden became one of the stories of college football last year. The way he took over. And i know they're gonna be down a receiver but they're not going to search far for a receiver georgia with the recruiting classes. That they've had time and time again. So i wanna see okay. Is this georgia football team. Actually going to do what it said. Are they going to try to emulate what else you did. Twenty nineteen as far as opening up the offense allowing their athletes to be better than the other teams athletes. one on one in-space. We're not going to be conservative. We're going to go full bore to win this championship. We'll know that pretty quick because they're playing clemson right. You can't be uptight against the clemson like they're not going to ease into a plane a directional school like they're playing against clemson so they have to come out swinging with the haymakers. They can't try to just try to you. Know go twelve rounds and just kind of take some punches. New ford may where they're taking. They can't do that. they got to come out swinging..

Espn you can give us a phone call as well. Eight five five two four. Two paul is the phone number. We're talking about a lot about name. Image and likeness. Joe goodman joseph goodman over af dot com had a great article talking about iron bowl he'll be joining us At the top of next hour. We'll talk to. Jacob hester in just a moment but i did ask the question and you finebaum callers have been fantastic cam. Much like the old john hayes producer of this fine radio program was is a philly guy. And yeah. you're right because there is room to grow right. Patrick i mean like you can you can grow in have kind of this all right. Maybe not necessarily with a fourteen playoff but if we ever get to kind of the craziness that is a twelve team playoff. Maybe they have a little bit more of an opportunity..

"As the number eight five five to four to seventy to eighty five will be joined by jacob hester in about twenty minutes talk low lsu football joseph goodman for mayo dot com had a fantastic article talking about Can a name image and likeness. How the iron bowl could really Shake some things loose when it comes to those sponsorships in really the overall the redistribution of wealth. And i think that's one of the things before. I get to gary and mobile Phone calls. I think that's where i figured name. Image likeness is going to be monster for the players. But it's also going to be monstrous for this conference in particular the sec. Because you know when. I go places whether it's you know arkansas. And going to bomb the bomb stadium and seeing. How many arkansas razorback Baseball fans there are or you know. Duty nobles the same way and in these cities throughout the sec. Outside of nashville is not really other places. Where there's other big town of the big teams right that your team. If you're in gainesville. Florida gator you're baton rouge or and lsu tiger right In so name image and likeness is going to benefit the programs who have the rabid fan bases right. A lot was made about all look. This could really help. Nebraska nebraska still has a solid fan base. They don't win many games but they still have a great fan base. The fan base is here in the. Sec are as good as any in frankly kind of the world like they remind me of english premier league soccer teams right like. That's that's how passionate they are in so name image and likeness. The the the spoils are going to go to not only the college athletes but where the college athletes can really make hay in. That's where they are a star in their respective cities and towns and that's exactly what the. Sec is right now. so i i am. I am kind of curious to see how this plays out because we are still definitely in the honeymoon phase of name. Image likeness As we start the twenty twenty one. Football season gary is in mobile alabama. Thanks for joining. Peter burns in for paul. What's up gary actually three points on this snap. Janitors fan logging to do good. Gary gary hang. Hang hang tight. I'm gonna put you on hold for a second. I'm trying to get a little bit of a better reception. But i think your first thing was talking about texas. Am spring game. listen. I don't care about spring games. Spring games tells me absolutely nothing in fact when we go. Sec media days. I can tell you you know pulling the curtain behind a little bit. I'm excited to talk to the coaches especially. Because we haven't talked to him about in two years. But i know several coaches who have been on vacation for the last ten twelve days. They they don't really really know about their team right now right like again you know. They show up and this is their official. Are you know. Get it in gear. Taina wrap ourselves around football. So you know i the only team i can vaguely remember in the last. Maybe ten fifteen years covering sec. Sports that i thought i learned a whole hell of a lot about him in spring ball. Who was twenty nine thousand lsu. When i saw it. I talked people down there. It looked differently. But if you're texas. Am guy or you're worried about what they're spring game look like i. Frankly i'm not necessarily worried okay. You know they're going see and whether or not it's hayes king going to be the guy for kellyn mine. Which is really intriguing to me because you know we talk so much about who the contenders are going to be in the sec. This year i th. I start with georgia. I've already said i'm on. I'm on record and you could use this audio against me and forever the rest of my life. I think georgia wins the national title here in the upcoming season. Now with that being said. I think alabama contends i think l. i think. Lsu is on that cuss. But the team that i can't figure out his texas am in what stinks about. All of this is that had name image and come just one year sooner just one year. Sooner for the aggies how different all of this would look in the reason. Why say that is that there are so many players including callen mine that i think especially on that offensive line that maybe could hung around one more year. If all of a sudden they could go sell a couple of beers or their name. Image likeness to the dixie chicken or ford dealership or cammo dealership or whatever they wanted to do at texas am. That's where i find. It interesting is the fact that you're going to have you know everybody. Complaining about name image likeness. All this is this is going to happen. You don't know that you don't know that for a fact right now you think you're projecting what it might be but you don't know what i do know and we're already seeing in. The sport of college basketball is. How many guys. Scottie pippen junior for a prime example. For name you you may know over vandy pulls his name out of the draft. He's coming back. There's a bunch of guys that i saw over the last week and a half. The guy said you know what i'm gonna put my name out of the nba draft. I haven't hired quote unquote an agent. Yet i may. I'm probably gonna go back to school and guess what that's good. That's good for college. Hoops and i think it's going to trickle down to college football as well too. We've all of a sudden you got a guy who's a third rounder. A fourth rounder. A fifth. rounder this good money if you go to the nfl but you're not necessarily guaranteed that right unless you're a first round or second round guy you don't really know you're gonna fall into the draft so if all of a sudden you can get skill position players and really any player for that matter that can say i can make a couple extra bucks and i can go chase something special and be back on campus for one more year and i'm not starving and i got a chance to you know. Be in front of the best training facilities get.

Errol Hu Wan is there seven o'clock Eastern, leading into the main card on ESPN radio. We went into the break talking about The NFL Conference championship games on Sunday, and I made the comment. Listen to always talk about it's a quarterback driven league. And I don't think that's ever been more true. That going into championship Sunday like that when we have this Sunday. Yeah, I mean, it's Zsa star power everywhere. You know, On the one side, you've got the two Two of the brightest young stars in the game with with my homes and Josh Allen, who's playing it in M V P caliber level. They both are. And then on the other side, you have the greatest of all time and the person that probably should win the M V P. Aaron Rodgers. Um You know that? That that that Brady Rodgers game is gonna be fabulous? It's just gonna be fabulous. I marvel with Aaron Rodgers, man. Oh, it's on Blue. I just I do. I just marvel at him. He's Probably my favorite player to watch, and I saw a poll. Somebody put up a poll might be the limit our boys if they put the four quarterbacks that are left up If you got a minute to go in the game, and you got 80 yards to go toe win it. Who do you want? I want Rogers. Yep. I want Rogers and I can't know what year was my been last year two years ago. He orchestrated this drive at the end of a playoff game. There was one of most masterful things I've ever seen. I mean, it was like John Elway Drive. It was just like an assassin, Bank Bank Bank and That as I've gotten older and learned the game a little better, what fascinates me the most about that position. Is They know everything. They know everything. You've seen that clip where Cam Newton? Who's he? Who's he talking to? They're playing. The Panthers were playing the Packers and the points across the line. He's like, I'm I'll see your 52. I know what you're about to do like they just know and it happened last week with with Roger's help, you saw him start busting out, laughing because he called a play. In the heat knew exactly what they were going to do. And he just started laughing. And it's just fascinating to me that they know the game that will and they know that they're so well studied. And that's all of them. You have. They have to be these days with that position well, and when you play at the level that Aaron Rodgers has always played Then you get the ridiculous questions off. Well, Hey, you know you you won on Lee one Super Bowl you have on Lee. One ring, You know, how can you be considered with grace if you only have one Super Bowl ring, and Aaron Rodgers was asked about that How much pressure is on him Sunday Because of that fact. And this is what he had to say. You know, I think no more pressure than usual. I think A lot of times story lines and Usher in those kind of comments are No good stuff for you guys to write about what? I think it starts working mentality in the focus. Obviously a professional this up the performance in a week and then I think there's a lot to be said for being able to harness that pressure. On the fear of failure. And focus it too, You know, real positive and some you learn over the years. I don't feel any extra pressure warning this week. He's done for. More than 51,000 yards. He's won 412 games. He is a career completion percentage of 65%. That's stupid. His career passer rating and I don't understand how passed around it works. But I know anything over 100 is pretty great. His career passer rating. Is one of the three and he almost wonder for all of that all of that, and you could go to Brady on the other side and start reading off his superlatives. With all the rings and the MVPs and In the accuracy of whatever it is both of those guys still play. Like they are snobs. Both of those guys still operate every single day to prove wrong. Everybody who didn't believe I love that man. I think that's just fabulous. That that even though they're so accomplished, even though their first ballot Hall of Famers even though They perennially are Among the best players in the league. They still find an edge. It's like saving always says the greatest threat to excellence is complacency. And you won't see either one of them. Two dudes even sniff complacency because they still want to prove you wrong. And it's interesting when you talk to Quarterbacks who were so great in college guys that we cover. And then when they get to the NFL They talk about. Obviously, it's a lot faster and they talk about that. You know, most of the teams you played in college have one really good defensive back everyone. The NFL has. Field full of everybody on the field is the best guy who ever played it their position at their high school, their college, whatever but the part that they never see coming. Is they think in college? They worked really hard and then when they get to the NFL, and it's all you do all day, you don't have to go. History class. You know, there's a lot you don't have to do. And when you Really learn. Jacob Hester, Our buddy you played ls you and was in the league forever. Just this past week till my Philip rivers which we'll talk about him obviously later in the show. It's all right watching him. And watching his work ethic and you think that you understand what it's like to work. These guys are also super talented. But how many super talented like rocket arm quarterbacks have flamed out? Because guess what? I'm ready out working. Do can't run heroes like his knees are tied together. Always has film was terrible Combine was awful. He's out worked everyone and Aaron Rodgers outworks everyone. It's just the four quarterbacks were playing on Sunday. Those guys work nonstop 24 hours a day. Russell Wilson, Baker Mayfield, the guys that we covered that we knew they had the work ethic, and when you get to the league, they all talk about how it was elevated, even pass out. That's one. I think Josh Allen also operates. Absolutely even though his personality is very different than Brady's and Roger's Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, even though they have fun, humorous. Sides to them. There's always that age like you can just see it. Even though I've I don't know if I've even ever been in the same room with Tom Brady, but you could just watch television and see. No matter what the situation is, there's an edge. See the same thing with with with Josh in that He was a wild me..
