"Jackie young the membership director for the enterprise. Enduring alliance really happy to be here today. Thanks for having me on again gently at the ea. The is really focused around enabling organizations to adopt and use during technology and their daily business operations really focused on empowering the ecosystem more generally within the overall you dear ecosystem manda Personally from background. Perspective and come from the world of the world of enterprise technology consulting and sales. I've done a number of large implementations and deployments with a number fortune five hundred organizations are spending across from a devops strategy to cloud operationalisation to supply gene inventory optimization via learning models and artificial intelligence and so i have a pretty widespread enterprise consulting background as i had mentioned most notably around the microsoft stack but have done work across long. Vm ware Across most of that relatively traditional it architectural stacks and twenty seventeen. I started to get more and more interested in crypto decentralized computing space and starting to get more interesting more interested overall for me he perspective and starting to pay really close attention chew how many enterprises and the people that i was interfacing with were really developing on ethereal and the overall platform and again The most recent that i had had was focused on consulting around service now and the mic stack and i saw how much microsoft was investing in jail their azure. You're deaf jet predicated on the theory ecosystem largely and i started just pay more close attention to began. How many organizations were really building with any theorem and had the opportunity late in two thousand nineteen to go head first into the game ecosystem and within the blockchain world and Got the opportunity over as a membership director at the ea starting in january and so twenty twenty has been quite an interesting year and been really needs deep by ever since really glad you were able to make it to the podcast. Today excited to hear about What you've experienced the sarum ecosystem and what things are going on at the ea. I don't. I don't know a ton about the serum enterprise alliance. Maybe a little background My perspective there wasn't much Thoughts about win crypto first came out you know of of making this Really tailored to enterprise Until a theory. I'm came out with a smart contracts and and things of that nature and then bencher price base really took to a theory in ways that i didn't imagine Initially it could you tell me a little bit more about the and what it is and who are the members and how how does one become a member. and they ultimate goal of the organization. Absolutely see that's about saddening and you're you're spat on as far as enterprises building any theorem. And i think that's largely predicated on many of the technological foundations the backbone of ethiopian and it being more of a developer focus application tom development focus blockchain competing system and as a result of that. That's why there's been such widespread adoption From enterprises and more emerging technology organizations like And from an ea perspective Really rigid with some founding members Back in two thousand seventeen Some of those included consensus. Gp morgun intel a number of others. Who are still very involved within the. Ea is well as a number of other organizations and what they're really focused on is having an ecosystem of best practices to build within the theory. Him from both aig Private permission boxing. Perspective to public may net perspective as well and The as was largely built dine. The enterprise theorem specification which we are now nearing version. Six of it and the specification is finalized. Which we're really proud of and that's really kind of morphed into the whole genesis of like corum that's been bill dead consensus and jp morgan. I'm now Formerly done under consensus. And that's where a liar lot. A lot of the work had been predicated on in the past and organizations. Join a again just to be with really like an expert network of people to kind of collaborate on the things that they're challenged with within their organization and how to take Some of the the internal capital and resources that we have our disposal and how to leverage that more effectively within one's own business and so we've seen a number of different creations within the ea from quorum with large built within the token taxonomy initiative free cell framework token taxonomy and building out smart contracts were actively from the business protocol which is hugely important right now and his gaining just a ton of momentum and excitement within the industry and now more again bringing in die each us which were incredibly excited about in. That was just announced on this past month on largely focused on creating registry around safe smart contracts so that users and customers that interface with can be more confident and reliable within the smart contracts that they're leveraging utilize utilizing a Let's go back to core. Would you say that is kind of the biggest win for the enterprise space and What what exactly is core. My i have a a little bit of understanding that it's was developed. I think initially by j. P. morgan chase and then Be behind consensus to do it and Now j. p. morgan chase Purchased that aspect of consensus. Are they working together. and corum is kind of a. It's a side chain to a theory where or is it. Is it a a completely separate based off of theorem blockchain. I wanna make sure. I do justice of this and i know that the consensus team and some others within the ea could even speak more intelligently and effectively to this but quorum is really built on like a is a private permission chain built on the enterprise etiam specification and so a number of organizations developed best practices around in enterprise etiam standard that could be trusted and relied upon within organizations and A number of these organizations where the kind of the genesis and the create creators of this and jp morgan was largely behind the creation. Corum early with In collaboration within members of the and notably consensus of course. And as of just over the last quarter i would say consensus acquired that in full and now is perjury even more closely with. Did you be more again arching team if you will Largely led by christine. Moy and the honesty in there and there's been a ton of exciting announcements relative to what their team is doing right now but Consensus has now brought in corum And what we're seeing within the industries who such a big movement Around utilizing obviously the public made net and many believe that that's the future will continue to collect you but what we're seeing is actual in live production. Instances we've seen the most modern work around enterprise right now and consensus has been a large driver behind that as well as a number of other organizations consensus driven that in a large way up to this point in time.

"Let's move over to the quick. The main move here is that they pick up Daniel Robinson. We love her. And you have a I haven't entity I'm going to go ahead and keep this the same in the main reason for that is. I don't know where she's getting minutes. Kayla McBride Kelsey Plume Ngoma Khatri Epiphany Prince. Jackie Young. All in your back court sugar rodgers on your back court. I have no idea where she's going to pull off the quality minutes. Now if you want to say that this is a bump in terms of chemistry and locker room support and leadership. Maybe but I just don't see this upping much because you kind of very heavy. I don't know what else you were going to do. So that's where I stand. I'm sticking to the you gave them in a are you sticking with that. I think it's largely a locker room move. And that's that's totally fine with me having Carolyn swords and Daniel Robinson. The same team means that you're going to have like as stable locker room as you can have with with. Liz Cameras present so I think this team is is ready to make a run giving them an A. based mostly on the strength of the Khatri work but yet no change here that works. I just wish they demand mood. That'll meet their basketball team better. That's just kinda how but I get it on that standpoint. I just not enough to change the great.

"He probably said, hey, pick out an outfit. I wanted to be you know, whatever. And let's send a message be subtle about when you invade picked. They definitely picked that shirt. But it was based on his instructions kind of Kind what? of what that shirt then? Go get it, Jay bad. We'd support you don't I think it would be nice to just wake up and have close being put these on now. And I've okay, I wouldn't have to think about it. And they're cleaning passed it. It'd be fantastic. Gus Gus Komi? So I have signed up for those things that E mail you a bunch of clothes sometimes they don't nail it. But I'm like, hey, at least the clothes are here yet. I don't have to go get them. Yeah. But then you still have to decide what gets. That's why stop we all pain in the, you know, they used you know, other networks have departments that do that. For your talent. I missed that little little bit. They lay out all your clothes. And they give you jewellery that goes with it. And you're like, oh, my God, you made an outfit. I don't have that skill miss that. I miss my Gus Gus Gus Gus Gus okay? Next story. This one's nuts. Jackie young having a crazy week seriously. So she's a she plays for note. She played for Notre Dame for Notre Dame. She's a junior. Yup. And she declared for the draft. And then she got picked by the as the number one pick for the aces but going Jays like the days was crazy. So the finals of the women's tournament was what Sunday night, right, and they played Baylor. Yeah. Right. They lost. And they lost and super motion time. Right. You want your seasons over you've been focused all season, whatever you're exhausted. She had twenty four hours from the minute. It ends. Till till nine pm the next night to decide if she wanted to declare for the draft that's a little injury. Then Wednesday was though draft. So in a span of like five four days. Whoops, almost McAfee. Cheap went from. That's nuts to me. Yeah. So it turns out I didn't know this don't think most people do there's a in the for the WNBA lots of letters. It's like you have to declare for the draft ten days before the draft unless you are still participating in the NCW tournament at which point you have twenty four hours after your final game to make that decision. And that's nuts to me because it's it's like, even if you just I know there isn't a lot of time and like the benefit of that for the women's game is that it can ride the momentum of the NCAA tournament into the WNBA season. It can be like, hey, while you're paying attention are. Season's about to start. So like, I get it. But even just giving them one more like two days. Yeah. It's like go home get home from where you're going like the day after you your whole season ends like you even have to think about like packing, your stuff getting home like travel, all that they have to do all that. While also making the biggest decision of their lives to do laundry. Also, do I go to the drive it's such a huge? And they rush them into making it and that I don't that doesn't sit. Well with me. But I don't know what the solution is because they don't have that much time to make a choice from a team perspective. Obviously Jackie young went number one overall like your whole draft strategy has to change if. Yeah, doesn't declare. That's true. You're like frantically trying to like, yeah. Come up with alternatives based on whether or not she declares. So it's nuts. Wasn't the number with the girl who was supposed to be the number one pick didn't she choose not to declare to? She did. Yeah. It's it's not I said girl..

"Civically Steve Steven I've talked a little bit about a we alluded to this on our last show that both of us actually think Jackie young is the better WNBA prospect a Rica in my opinion has kind of in the face of the program. And that's totally fine. She hit two clutch shots. She should be the face of the program. She's been on national television, not only with that. But I mean dancing with the stars or whatnot. But. To take that like those couple little bits and expand into she's the best basketball player on the on the team in my opinion. Just isn't true. I do like Jackie young better. And I think the Jackie young is going to have a longer tenured career in the WNBA than Rica will that's my personal thing. I might be drawing. I r- with one about say, but and this coming from some of the I have a very closet Notre Dame phantom with with the women's team. My favorite w players happen. All the Irish fighting. I regret is they're not Irish descent that I know of. When I honestly look at Notre Dame starting five. Rekeying wallet to me might be the fifth most valuable member that starting five just looking at what got them to where they did Jackie on us. And all around talent brianna Turner is one of the best defenders in the entire country. Jessica shepherd just grinded for for an entire season and was phenomenal. And Rena Mayberry is one of the most effective shooters quick scores that you have on the team and is a huge boost. And I'm not trying to downplay what a Rica did and her value as a player, obviously, the pyrotechnics there, and the the amazing this the story was there. But I think Gupta well shined in the moments that are most marketable, right? She gets. She gets the classic moments that you look back on. She got the game winters. Get gets kind of thrown off about that are all everything else that leads to that. And it comes from route Highland. I had the same conversation last week with Sabrina s q. And I put my foot my mouth right after I said. Don't she is a star? But the coverage because of what she's able to do it was as if you forgot that there were other players on that Oregon team. And there are times when I feel that way about a good Walli because she actually shot forty percent in the final that's pretty respectful in its own, right? But I will say that I did question her shots election. I questioned her ability to keep an offense fluid, and I think she can find a great fit in the league. We'll have to see where that comes from. And obviously, she's a very quality player. I as a WNBA scouts have a hard time. Seeing is they're arguing to be playable liabilities in that situation..

"Marina may five eleven senior taller than most point guard. She has the ability to see a lot of things that smaller guards cannot see. But her real value to this basketball team. Her ability to strokes. She is an outstanding three point shooter. With really, terrific rain. She has a quick release. She is the all time leading three point shooter in Notre Dame history. The other thing I like about. Per Bill to calm things down Notre Dame a running basketball team. But when they need to set in the half court. That's normally neighboring slows things down and gets Notre Dame and a set off coach you talk about Notre Dame being a team that likes to run. They get out in transition. So well, and it starts with Jessica shepherd their four player inside. She is the best outlet passer in the country. Yeah, you go inside. I'll come back outside. Jackie young perhaps the most athletic wing in the country at six foot a powerful wing loves to take defenders into the paint and punish them down low. She can post up like a post play and with jumping ability shoot over smaller guards. Jackie young fifteen point seven rebounds, five assists, a game perhaps the most efficient player not only on this Notre Dame team. But in the country again the quickness. Explosive to the ram over smaller players and Notre Dame more known for their offense than their defense. But they have an elite back line defender and Briana Turner. This is a player who can make up for teammates mistakes. She gets in there. She has over two and a half blocks per game. She gets it done on the interior.
