"Sorry I just gonna say I think another thing that helped detective pita chew was the marketing that was involved. I mean you saw marketing for this movie everywhere. And you saw Ryan Reynolds, get into it. Also with the videos that he put it out on YouTube of like how he trained to record a Jew. But they were just total parodies. But a major excited to watch the movie and how he got his wife involved with it, too. So to me, just the way they marketed the movie and it made you excited to go see it even people who were very skeptical about it when they first all the trailers for it, especially those who were very frightened of seeing Pokemon with further like gigli puff. They were they after awhile, kind of, like, you know, got on board with it and was like, yeah, maybe I'll check it out. So. Yeah, a lot of the lot of the Polk mine might have seemed a little bit. You know, jarring textually but you get very used to the visual style very early on. And I'm very sensitive to CGI bullshit. I'm not down for on man. This sure looks like it was made for ten eighty p so the fact that they still kept the style is Asian, and really, really focused on that attention to detail to make them animal like really sold it for me. I think they were able to blend that maybe it's you know, it's to each his own. I know some people thought it was still kind of uncanny, but I thought they reached that perfect blend of. The original style and making them resemble animals. There's a really great scene. It's just a small little bit. You know, there's moments like the, the toros in the in the fields and the birds under the rain, and then they kinda pan down in rhyme city. And you get this great shot of, I think there are canine. And maybe there's even a little grou- with, and they're all shaking their pelts 'cause they're all wet in the rain and they look exactly like dogs like the animation. The. You know, everything they're moving exactly like animals. It's very, very cool to see them integrated that way. I wanna get a little bit in on the mystery just a little bit because that that's my bag and also it kinda tie into another thing. I think this, this movie is also a really good commercial for the game. Because it really encapsulates not just the regular tone of. Okay. We're gonna take this character that if you're not familiar with the game. You know, you're not outside of the realm of Brock, misty Nash. This is new for you and bringing us into the new environment of rhyme city and still keeping what works for a Polk Amman story, which is this kind of underlying environmental situation, very subtle, you know, thinking about poke Amman's bonds with people and having that almost be like a pet allegory. I think at the beginning for Tim, you know, ask king him like you know, you really could use a Pokemon right now. You're really. You really lonely and he's just going, I really don't have time or space for Pok Mon right now. That's, that's a nice good touch. They play on that in the themes, really. Well. And I think that's just fantastic. But. And of course, everybody's favorite you know, the corrupt corrupt corporation situation. They were really able to bring in all the window dressing, in a way that still makes it feel like it's it takes place in the Pok Mon world, even outside of making the Pokemon seemed like their onscreen alongside the humans I really enjoyed that fact and David with the with those vague bits of table setting in place. Maybe that might encourage you there. There's some really fantastic fight scenes in everything and Henry Jackman I love him as a composer. He's not nearly as lauded as like Hans Zimmer or chino who I also really love, but Henry Jackman did a really amazing job of integrating. Some classic Pokemon game tunes and some original sounding track. Ax into this for perfect fact in this. It's just a really fun time. Yeah, it was great. It was such a good movie. I also wanna add in that watching detective Pichu made me like totally love UK. 'cause side was absolutely hilarious throughout the entire detective issue, and before. Well, I did I kinda like like that, but I feel like this movie like, just it made Sida like if you weren't like level before you gotta love him after detective. And also there's nothing better than hearing hearing Pichu seeing the original poke Amman theme song. Yeah. Right. Rental. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, guys. God had my curiosity. But now you have my attention. What is this? Okay. Yes. So there's seen. That's like also like towards the Amazon, I tried towards the climax of it's the low point for our heroes. I believe everybody's. Yeah. Anna down and to get to that. And he's like walking away and you hear writing. This. He's singing Pokemon things like it's a ballot and its hull, Larry is because he like racist little fist in the air, like a good to its whole Larrea, Slee funny. But it's also like that's a total Ahmad to like the original Pokomo series. And I felt like anyone who liked grew up watching him on the original one knows that theme song, and was like, oh my God. That is a great song is like the, the karaoke song of generation. Original singer showed up to the last sack anime. I believe which was incredible. I don't know if he hit the karaoke hall. He definitely should have. I do wanna make a quick thing about the voice of Pichu you mentioned. You can't imagine anybody else, voicing him Jay now, there was an original casting decision, and I'm not sure why it fell through. But originally, they were going to have, Danny devito, as voice of that. And I think is because in the in game within he voice him in the game. I very good sound alike. Yes, that's pretty sounds like in the game yet. Now's very there's a fan made re-cut out there. You know, whoever's done that, you know, these are really fantastic to watch. There was re-cut with, Danny devito clips for the detective peak trailer. It's really interesting to see but I wonder how that would have been like I do. Have to say I I love him. And I absolutely think knocked the park and the singing you, that is the highlight do want to say, I need to see it again. Because I think right at the beginning kinda wanted to give that report really quickly with them with, with Tim and Pika chew because there's a couple of like a good solid couple moments when they're I kind of going back and forth where it is so fan. That a joke lands before you really even have a chance to, to react to it. And then another one is coming out of Ryan's mouth. And I'm just going, I really need you to, to not right now. But I need I need this to back up just a little bit. Like, if there, if there's a couple if there's any like downsides, I think there was that, and then just the overall mystery like, if you're paying attention you're like me and you just have to solve it for yourself. Like it won't take long. You'll probably figure it out in five minutes. Do you see detective who pretend time Jack do you seem detective Pika chew potentially being a franchise where they're solving more mysteries than just one? Like it's something that continues and grows as a as a detective peak chew mysteries. Franchise. I would agree. I would think maybe with the way that they've set a with how the cast ended, you know, with everybody kind of joining us a bigger party, you know. And then you get the signed girl in there. She was really great. And I love to see her take more of a front seat in another mystery. Maybe if they don't go full into light. We're gonna make a hokum on cinematic universe after this alleged sequel. Maybe we get like a TV show about her. She's out there collecting new stuff because as much as I love detective shows and stories about that. And I'm a mad professor Layton fan, which this really reminded me of in terms of the mystery in that it kind of leads you down that path. And I'm curious if the game is like that I'm feeling like I might need to check out the game. It it leads you down that path. I totally lost my point. God it. Detective pika. Chew was great. Go see it guys. It was. Yeah, I could see it being a Netflix show, like if they ever decide to make a TV series. It'd be the way to go. That's, that's what my point was as much as I love like that kind of Aton and. And everything that's kind of a little bit over Saturday right now, especially with animated series, my what I would want spinning sorry, Jack sorta just about totally jump on what you're about to say. But now my mind is spinning, what if it were like a Netflix series or web series where it was like the PK chewed detective agency, and it would be various poke Amman's, and framers, and it could be like a Pok Mon nor. Why am I? That. That's what I was gonna say is instead of having it be more along the, the tone of, you know, your average, like like be the beginning or anything like that it should be closer to who framed Roger rabbit, or bonkers, which I liked. I'm sorry. I bad taste everybody, but I'm not Home Depot. Chat deep. Cut checks. I'm telling you right now that between him. And marsupial Lami. It's not out of contest. I don't even know what the fuck marsupial is trying to -ccomplish made that could maybe that could be a case on the Pokemon mysteries. Marsupial army the new Pokemon and Jen ninety. I don't even know how many jets were at. Anybody here know how many Jen Jen, I'll take, you're gonna come out for, I think sward in shield, I think when. Because the only Pokemon that they kinda revealed for Jenny was Mel tan, and Rosen wide noses because I still play Pokemon go. And that was the only they released for gen eight. And I think that. Yeah. Awesome. We had time and I hope other people are having a good time with it. And hopefully I haven't spoiled too much for people who are out there curious for it. And I'll be be unbathed breath for your reaction to Ryan Ren. Nodes gracing our ears with the polkadot ballad David. Oh my God. Find it on YouTube, I will look for that as soon as we're done. "Quicken Loans studio rocket mortgage, whichever step of the way to provide a seamless mortgage experience. Well, that was not fun. First of all shame on, and they'll be some kind of an explanation. And I've been watching the stupid horse races for too many years. I can't I can't believe I always get sucked into believed that they're going to get the races off on time. The posted start time as I announced to you here on CBS sports radio was fix forty eight. The second leg of the triple crown was supposed to go off at six forty eight. Today. It went off after seven o'clock usually it's two or three minutes three or four minutes. If they tell you six fifty F forty eight is somewhere six fifty one fifty two. It'll go off because there's always something that holds it up. They had an hour and change since the last race. It's a beautiful day down in Baltimore. No rain, no lay track preparations. I have no bloody idea. And we'll get Ron flatter up here. An hour and a half from now somewhere there abouts, and maybe he couldn't be able to explain it to us. But the race got off twelve minutes late after seven o'clock the race started. So, of course, I big while they're going to get this in. It's going to be perfect. I thought they would actually start it before my last segment ended like last week with the Kentucky two weeks ago with the Kentucky Derby, where I actually watch the race as I was on the air. Oh, they're starting late. All this is great. The rates go up just as I go to break. No, I go to break, and I wait and I wait and I wait and I wait and I wait and I wait a final go of after seven o'clock, and my British Johnny cloud get into studio. I'm out in the newsroom watching because I actually want to hear the call of the race. And I didn't get the call of the race because I had to come running back in here to the studio. I do. See who won that was the one horse war. Of will who I told you before the race started I thought was adversely affected in the Kentucky Derby, was the worst would supposedly diverted with he did get the perfect stay on the would make the late charge. Racing strategy today and his Jackie Tyler gaffes Leone made it work, so kudos. And congrats to war of will just won the Kentucky Derby ever fast twenty five to one shot run second Owen Dale, one of the legit closers in the race. Did close nicely for third. So a probably pretty well paying trifecta here, which I don't have any part of because my heart's improbable again, had a good. No excuse trip was right there. I think he might have finished fourth maybe fifth again. I didn't run a bad race. But he just has won a winning race shooting on one winning rates, yet this year went three and a two year old but finished second down in Arkansas in the rebel stakes second in the Arkansas Darby v into Kentucky Derby, and he's going to be up to track again today. So my backing of improbable, we'll go by. The boards. I can guarantee you that. But I did like war. Well, he's one of my top three choices. Now, the twist of fate though arts that I thought would be in the mix, as well was early mayday major move on the leading might have actually gotten his nose in front at one point warriors charge was the unquestioned speed of the race. And he led to the top of the stretch. And then I think when backwards badly and predicted that someone told me to bet on war will win. I said better chance to finish last than I will be in first place unquestionably. We'll be in first place, but we'll stop. And he did stop and finish. Well the track. But congratulating Demark Cassie trainer war will Tyler Gaffney Leon Jackie I give Mark Kathy a lot of credit not only for preparing this horse and winning today's race to win a trip crime race. But I didn't find this out till the. The next day, I did not see this anywhere. But somebody told me about it, and I found about it the next day because when all his stuff happened with the Kentucky Derby last week or two weeks ago I keep saying last week to week so I didn't get to hear any the broadcast because I was on the air at the time. We know that were will was at least as per the stewards in Kentucky interfered with by maximum-security who ended up onto wire as the winner, but then was taken down war will jockey Tyler gaff Leon did not put in Joppy Takis objection on race did not. Another horse the jockey of two of the worst absolutely stopped and ended up in eighteenth place. Toddy source was the one who filed the objection as did the jockey of the eventual winner country house, who had nothing to do with the divergence and Raith, but he was going to put in his two cents and say, oh, I thought, even though I wasn't part of it. I thought I'd and you'd take you should take the winner down. Mike Cathy, was a train of war will got what his jockeys, soon as he came back at the end race. And Tyler gaff Leon said, I was interfered with in the race, we should object and Cassie said, listen, we ended up finishing in eighth place. All it's gonna do is move us up to seven. It is no difference in pers, purse between eighth and seventh we shouldn't look to take down the winner of the Kentucky Derby, Mark, Kathy. Stood it that it's the biggest race of the year the violation if there was one was minimal and take tack and questionable at best, and Mark Cassie advised his jockey to not file an objection. So he didn't an ended up taking him down anyway. Got up yet played out well for Bill Martin country house. They got moved up and got placed first. But I really appreciated the fact that Marquette, he went down that road that he wasn't going to be the one if they would such a blatant foul. The steward should have caught it and they should have taken a horse down themselves. They did not so good from our Kathy. What comes around goes around that whole karma thing marquess? He did the right thing and handled it last week on the way, I would have handled it, it will my horse and the same thing happened to me. So sometimes you get paid off for stuff like that. And we'll get paid off today as the winner of the Preakness stakes. So talk about that, you would just watch it, it you wanna give me a dot town. Hop aboard. We mixed in the NBA so far day phones wide open the rest of this hour. Coming up soon enough. We'll talk to our Jim Callus. Oh, I didn't know what you were saying there. Antonio leads my problem. Jim Callus from MLB, pipeline dot com. Good enough top on board with us here. Jim Jody macadear sorry, diatribe on the Preakness. What I'm a degenerate horse racing fan. No problem, no problem. I just I I'm in the middle of dinner, so is trying to squeeze in. But. Well, not just hit you with a couple of quick question. How field is this of those who are eligible for the draft this year? I mean, there's talent every draft. I mean it's definitely a hitter heavy draft. I think the first six six and the draft are going to be position players. I've been doing this for thirty years. It might be the worst group of first round worthy college pitchers. I've seen there's just no deaf the college pitchers, but, but there's some pretty good hitters at the top any reasoning by the lack of good quality quality arms to come out because those guys who have they all right. Can actually get to the big leagues faster than anybody else, or at least that's been my experience. I think it's just cyclical. I mean last year. I mean, the number one pick mitt draft was Casey is who at Auburn, and he had some of the best combination of stuff in policy, and he's already in double A, and we could be dig leagues right now if the Tigers were contending, but it I think it's just a just one of the things I mean, most years, the discounts are complaining there aren't enough college position players. And an issue there's a lot of college tuition players. I think there's. I know there's thirty four in the first round this year, and I think all been done. We'll have twenty three hitters taken in the first round, which will be a record. It's just a good year for hitters and in a week or year for pitchers because he was the two of those, I think it makes the hitters, look even stronger than the pitchers, look even Reeker. I saw your latest rankings. You actually think there's a chance a catcher is going to be the first pick this year. When was the last time that happened? Bryce harper. Technically was a cat. Outfielder catcher who was drafted as a catcher, Joe Mauer. And that was back in two thousand one. So it's been a while. But no Attlee Richmond, Oregon state. I mean he's he's not just the favorite. He's a strong favourite. I mean he's a switch hitter hit for power average. He had a huge software. Sith news MVP the college World Series. He had an even better year this year. He he draws walks as well. He's got a plus arm. He's a plus receiver. He's got great makeup. Even played a little football Oregon state earlier in his career. There's really no slot his game. But he is the strong favourite to switch hitter, too. So it's like when you throw that in there as well. But yeah, he's, he's the strong favorite to number one right now. He's he attacks her for the next two years. Five years. Ten years fifteen years. Yeah. He's, he's allergic catcher he'll stay there. You know, catchers and, you know, long term, you know, you know, I it takes a beating on you. But now he's not one of these guys who's, you know, hearing Bryce Harper headed he become. Out as a catcher, you would have said, well, we're really getting his bad. We'll see how long it stayed behind the plate. And it's not like how Schwarzer or okay we'll we'll see if he can catch. We're not sure gonna work this, this guy is a legitimate Hatcher and, and it's not just great hitter. We can get by behind the plate. This is great hitter. You know good defensive players wealthy. He's allergic catcher all night. I see the you gotta rang second, Bobby Witt, is that junior as in younger son, narrow probe. Definitely is, and it's funny Bobby Witt senior was number three overall draft. And he he's an agent now. He's actually bobbing. Juniors agent. And I was talking to him, and I won't be odds have been on the day. Bobby was born. If somebody said, you know, he's going to go higher than the draft than you do. And he laughed. No, Bobby Witt junior, tremendous five tool, potential shortstop, there's powered their speed. He's a definite shortstop is gonna have to move in. Much as people love the tools. They love the make up. I mean he's a great kid. He's got instincts going around the game. I mean, as you can imagine Jodi, I mean anytime this guy's an event, and he's on all the, you know, showcases and USA eighteen who are you going to interview, you're going to interview, Bobby Witt junior, the son of Bobby Witt and all that stuff. And he's just a very gracious kid, who is done probably ten million energy in the last eighteen months, but a great kid grape player. He I'd be very surprised at the royals don't take him at number two fair enough. The other thing I wanted to get you on talk about was before, you know, it will be in June, and then went, we're into June. We're under July and conversation start in June, and sometimes even get a trade or two in June. Somebody wants to be the, the rush. And if the right deal is out there they'll pull the trigger on it for a team that thinks they are only one key piece away from being a major contender compla- off time. Use those tight trades are filled the. Void big time major league players sometimes with big salaries included in exchange for team. That's not going to be there. This year knows they're better days, down the road and they're going to be willing to take younger players or minor league players with potential and the like who's cut the best systems right now of the teams that look like they're going to be postseason teams that when guys become available Dale actually have pieces of teams want to be able to make those kind of acquisitions three teams jump out to me, and none of them are big market teams are the Padres said the best farm system in baseball and knitted got a lot of talent beyond, you know, just calling up finish touchy junior and Chris Patrick, they have the best system. They have start telling NFL death. So the Padres I mean pretty much you know, any any player who's on the market, the potteries could probably go get if they wanted and the other two, I would say the brave, and the raiders who aren't quite as good as the Padres. But they could go out and make a deal to although it would be interesting because especially with the race who, who just don't have the resources other clubs have it would be kind of out of their MO to go give up a lot of prospects for short term rental, but they've got a really good team. And maybe they will do that, right. Let me tell you a couple of specific teams. Tell me how good they're they're solid. They've got the pieces to make a deal. It's going to be tough to envision or they got no chance system. Stinks. Minnesota little surprised to be on top of that division. They've got some young players. They added some nice veteran free agents on short-term deals this year. What's Minnesota's farm system? Looked like they're one key piece away. They've got a good system. I think they could go out and put something together. They asked him. I mean to the very best prospect in baseball then including voice Lewis, a number one overall pick a couple of years ago, and he hit.

"Quicken Loans studio rocket mortgage, whichever step of the way to provide a seamless mortgage experience. Well, that was not fun. First of all shame. I they'll be some kind of an explanation. And I've been watching these stupid worse races for too many years. I can't. I can't believe I always get sucked into believed that they're going to get the races off on time. The posted start time I announced to you here on CBS sports radio was fix forty eight. The second leg of the triple crown was supposed to go off at six forty eight. Today. It went off after seven o'clock usually it's two or three minutes three or four minutes. And they tell you six fifty forty eight is somewhere six fifty one fifty two. It'll go off because there's always something that holds it up. They had our and change since the last race. It's beautiful day down in Baltimore. No rain, no lay track preparations. I have no bloody idea. And we'll get round flat or up here an hour and a half from now somewhere there abouts, and maybe he couldn't be able to explain it to us. But the Wraith got off twelve minutes late after seven o'clock the race started. So of course, I well, they're going to get this is going to be perfect. I thought they would actually start. It before my last segment, ended glance week with the Kentucky two weeks ago at the Kentucky Derby, where I actually watch the race as I was on the air. Oh, they're starting late. All this is great. The rates go up just as I go to break. No, I go to break, and I wait and I wait and I wait and I wait and I wait and I wait. No finally, go after seven o'clock and my Gotti, cloud get into studio. I'm out in the news room watching it because I actually want to hear the call the race. And I didn't get the call of the race because I had to come running back in here to studio. I do see who won that was the one horse war of will who I told you before the race started I thought was adversely affected in the Kentucky Derby, he was the worst would supposedly diverted with he did get the perfect stay on the would make the late charge. Racing strategy today and his Jackie Tyler gaffes Leone made it work, so kudos and congrats. The war of will just won the Kentucky Derby, ever fast twenty five to one shot run second Owen Dale, one of the legit closers in the race. Did close nicely for third. So a probably pretty well paying trifecta here, which I don't have any part of because my heart's improbable again, had a good. No excuse trip was right there. I think he might have finished fourth maybe fifth again. I did run a bad race. But he just has won a winning race shooting on one winning rates yet this year when three and a two year old but finished second down in Arkansas in the rebel stakes second in the Arkansas Darby in the Kentucky Derby, and he's going to be up to track again today. So. My backing of improbable will go by the boards. I can guarantee you that. But I did like war. Well, he's one of my top three choices. Another twist, the fate, though, that I thought would be in the mix, as well was early mayday major move on the leading might have actually gotten his nose in front at one point where you're charge was the unquestioned speed of the race and led to the top of the stretch. And then I think when backwards badly and predicted that someone told me but not war will win. I said better chance to finish last than I will be in first place unquestionably. We'll be in first place, but we'll stop. And he did stop and finish. Well the track, but congratulated Demark Cassie trainer war will Tyler gaff Leon Jackie, I give Mark Kathy a lot of credit not only for preparing this horse and winning today's race to win a trip crown race. But I. Didn't find this out till the next day. I did not see this quote anywhere, but somebody told me about it, and I found about it the next day 'cause when all stuff happened with the Kentucky Derby last week or two weeks ago I keep saying last week to week so I didn't get to hear any broadcast because I was on the air at the time. We know that war will was at least I've heard the stewards in Kentucky interfered with by maximum security, who ended up onto wire as the winner, but then was taken down war will jockey Tyler gaffes Leone did not put in Joppy Takis objection on race did not. Another horse the jockey of two, doors that absolutely stopped and ended up in eighteen place. Taty source was the one in filed the objection as did the jockey of the eventual winner country house, who had nothing to do with the divergence race. But he was going to put in his two cents and say, oh, I thought, even though I wasn't part of it. I thought and you'd take you should take the winner down. Mike Cathy, was a train of war will got what his jockeys, soon as he came back at the end of the race. And Tyler gaff Leon said, I was interfered with the race, we should object. And Cassie said, listen, we ended up finishing eighth place. All it's gonna do is move up to seventh. There's no difference in Perth between eighth and seventh. We couldn't look to take down the winner of the Kentucky Derby, Mark, Kathy. Understood it that it's the biggest race of the year. The violation if there was one was minimal and ticky tack and questionable at best, and Mark. Cassie advised is jockey to not Jackson. So he didn't an ended up taking him down anyway. Got up. Yeah. Played out well for Bill Martin country house. They got moved up and got placed first. But I really appreciated the fact that marquess he went down that road that he wasn't going to be the one. If they would such a blatant foul steward should have caught it and they should have taken a horse down themselves. They did not so good from our Cassie what comes around goes around that whole karma thing marquess. He did the right thing and handled it last week. I the way I would have handled it, it will remind horse and the same thing happened to me. So sometimes you get paid off for stuff like that. And we'll get paid off today as the winner of the Preakness stakes. So going talk about that. You would just watch it. You wanna give you hop aboard? We mixed in the NBA so far day phones wide open the rest of this hour. Coming up soon enough. We'll talk to our with compels. Oh, I didn't know what? You were saying in their Antonio. It's my problem. Jim Callus from MLB, pipeline dot com. Good enough on board with us here. Kim Jody Mak sorry. Void diatribe on the Preakness. What I'm a degenerate horse racing fan. No problem, no problem. I just I I'm in the middle of dinner, so is trying to squeeze in. But. Well, not just a couple of quick question. How field is this of those who are eligible for the draft this year? I mean, there's talent in every draft. I mean it's definitely a hitter heavy draft. I think the first six and the drafter position players. I've been doing this for thirty years. It might be the worst group of first round worthy college pitchers. I've seen there's just no depth the college pitchers. But there's some pretty good hitters at the top any reasoning by the lack of good quality quality arms to come out because those guys who have they all right? Can actually get to the big leagues faster than anybody else, or at least that's been my experience. Yeah. I think it's just last year. I mean, the number one pick mitt draftee my at Auburn, and he had some the best combination of stuff in policy, and he's already in double A, and we could be leagues right now if the Tigers ending, but it I think it's just a cold, just one of the things I mean, most years the scouts are complaining that aren't enough college edition players and an issue there's a lot of college players. I think there's. I know there's thirty four picks in the first round this year, and I think all it's been done. We will have twenty three hitters taken in the first round, which will be a record. It's just a good year for hitters and in a week or year for pitchers because the two of those, I think it makes the hitters, look even stronger than the teachers look even weaker. I saw your latest rankings. You actually think there's a chance a catcher is going to be the first pick this year. When was the last time that happened? Bryce harper. Technically was a cat. Announcing outfielder, I think Bill last catcher who was drafted as a catcher, Joe Mauer. And that was back in two thousand one. So it's been a while Ashley Richmond, Oregon state. I mean he's he's not just the favorite. He's a strong favourite. I mean he's a switch hitter hit for power average. He had a huge software. Sees news MVP the college World Series. He dad even better year this year. He he draws walks as well. He's got a plus arm. He's a plus receiver. He's got great makeup, heat and played a little football Oregon state earlier in his career. There's really no flawed his game. But he is the strong favorite to which hitherto. So it's like when you throw that in there as well but he's he's the strong favorites. But one right now is he attacked her for the next two years? Five years. Ten years fifteen years. Yeah. He's, he's a legit catcher. He'll stay there. You know, catchers, you know, long term, you know, I it takes a beating on you, but he's not one of these guys whose him Bryce Harper headed, he come out. The catcher, you would have said, well, we're really getting bad. We'll see how long it stays behind the plate, and it's not like how Schwab or okay well, we'll see if he can catch. We're not sure it's gonna work this, this guy is a legitimate Hatcher and not just great hitter. We can get by behind the play. This is great hitter. You know good defensive players wealth easily after all night. I see the rang second, Bobby Witt is that junior as in younger son thereof. Definitely is, and it's funny Bobby Witt senior was number three overall draft. And he he's an agent now he's actually five juniors agent, and I was talking to and I what would be then like on the day, Bobby was born. If somebody said, you know, he's gonna go higher than the drafting you do. And he laughing Bobby Witt, junior, tremendous five tool potential shortstop, there's powered speed. He's a definite shortstop is my math to move, and as much as people love the tools. They love to make up. I mean he's a great kid. He's got instinct's going around the game. I mean you can imagine Jodi, I mean anytime guys and event. And he's on all the, you know showcases and USA eighteen who are you going to interview, you're going to interview, Bobby Witt, junior, son of Bobby Witt and all that stuff. And he's just a very gracious kid, who is done probably ten million energies in the last eighteen months, but a great kid great player. He's I'd be very surprised at the Royal. "Walden with seven victories. In the Preakness. Of course, he could eclipse, that Mark and become the all time leader with the victory by improbable later today. You mentioned war of will that was the horse that was I involved in the controversial disqualification at that coming to top of the stretch win maximum security came over in front of him kind of took his path were of will, and Jackie Tyler gaffe Leone had to steady at that point affecting other horses. And as we mentioned, maximum security was all the way back to seventeen. Yeah. And, and when that happens with the stewarts do they took they took a look at the horses that they believed were adversely impacted when maximum security swerved out of his lane. So then they had to go down the finishing order as the horses came across the wire, and they had to disqualify maximum security place, all the way back behind all of those horses, who had been affected and things got a little more interesting yesterday, when Gary west, the owner of maximum security announced that he would issue, a twenty Million Dollar Challenge to the other three horses were of will win win win and Bodey expressed. Here today and what is done is is he has selected horses that I think in his view either benefited from that outcome or had some role in the situation. And he's made it clear. He said, you know, I'm doing this in a good nature, spirits. I'm not doing this because I've got a problem with those other owners those horses. He's just in the old fashioned since a sportsmanlike sense. Let's have some fun with this throw down a challenge. And he has said any of those horses that beat or finish simply finish ahead of maximum security, the next time that they go head to head. It'll be five million dollars. He puts up he's asking the owners of the others to do the same. And by the way, he's also offered proceeds for the permanently disabled jockeys fund as part of that promotion, just another twist to the drama that has had unfolded in thoroughbred racing over the course of the past couple of weeks. Well time now to welcome in third member of our broadcast team this afternoon. That is, Dr Dan Mason and dance so many people pouring over the programs at this time, they're looking for the winner of this year's Preakness stakes. What things should they keep an eye on? As we closer to post time later today. Mike, we're going to be looking inside the numbers all afternoon long, but let's get started with about three key points. Chew on here, twelve in the last sixteen winners are three to one or less could tell us now. How long shots do not very well, because only two winners since nineteen eleven have one at twenty to one or over that would have been master be in nineteen seventy five and Coventry going all the way back to nineteen twenty five. Now here's my key stat of the day on this one five of the last six years, don't worse have rallied from the back of the pack to.

If you can make yourself laugh, nobody else kind of core this podcast. "I'm a huge fan of Richard Mandella longtime California trainer who's had a tennis success in big races out there specifically in California at the Breeders Cup when the Scotsman at Santa Anita. He's one of those guys it's a gentleman. He does it for all the right reasons, and he does right by the horse. So the first thing I thought about was dick Mandela and how you know, maybe some trainers roll the dice. It's a cough. It's apple Gladys issue that they probably could have forced him out there and had him run. But he he did the right thing. I almo have beach and now he'll miss three to four weeks of training. And we'll get to see him run this summer in races. Like, maybe the million dollar Haskell at Monmouth or the bid summers derby at Saratoga. They call. The Travers stakes. So I'm excited to see him run. At some point. He looks like the most talented three year old of this year's crop. But I found the trainer in the owners who you get one chance with these horses. The only time you can raise the Kentucky Derby is when they're three years old on the first Saturday in may, so many things can go on. You finally get there. You've got a really nice horse. You've got the favored and then a really minor. Minor health issue keeps them out of the gate. I felt really bad for the connections. I so tell me how do you kind of see this thing shaking out? Now. What what's what's what's the way that? Kevin gore is envisioning the Kentucky Derby going this coming Saturday. Well, any time you get this many horses have right now they're scheduled at nineteen horses in the gate. You know, Jackie's always feel like they need to get position early to avoid that shuffle onto the first term when it's just a Hutu forces. And I think a lot of Jackie's might have been intimidated by the front end with Omaha beach because it is talent level. And if you go out there and get up by him like justify last year. He really basically anyone who is near him early in the race was not there when when the real running started, I think Jackie's would have been fearful the front end with Omaha beach and the race with him scratching at if the taxes have free rein now horses with natural speed. I think are going to be a little more apt to end up front. So it looks like. Might have been more of a lukewarm early pace in my eyes right now opens up three or four maybe five horses that want to get out there near the front and intensified his pace. And if that's the case, especially with one hundred seventy thousand screaming fans around there that pays might be too fast, which tells me that the horses you're looking for horses that can sit just off at pace, or maybe even mid pack. And then make that big sweeping move around the turn and come get the money down the stretch. So I think the one has speed or will because he's drawn inside he likely goes way magician the four he's all speed that I look at the coma who won the bluegrass. He did. So on the front end maximum security won the Florida derby on the front end, these are all horses that I think we'll be on the front. So when I look at the race. I look at a horse that could come from off the pace at wants to get the distance, and I wrestled back and forth. The last couple of days with two horses eight Tacitus in the sixteen game winner, and I've had my I on game winner since he want here Churchill Downs last year in. Your stuff juvenile. He's come back and disappointed in his preparations. He's lost both those races as the favourite. But he had excuses involve. He's third time off the lap. And yes, Bob, Baffert trained and Bob Baffert the best trainer in American. He's the guy that trained American Farrell and justify to win the triple crown. He's got three horses in here. Having game winters the best one the other horse. I talked about what Tacitus this is a horse riding a three race win streak won the Wood Memorial in New York for me with Tacitus. It's about his mother. His mother's name was close hatches. She was brilliant. And she was great on a wet track. She destroyed a great one field at Saratoga on a wet surface. I think Tacitus will love the wet track that we get on Saturday. So it's game winner or Tacitus right now. I wanna see those odds if no odd gun to my head. I think game one are still the best course in training now that we've lost Omaha beach with the scratch. So I think game on her is your most likely, but pacifists, but those tend to one is a certainly. Enticing. Let me ask you about a horse that you mentioned that's going to have to go is war of will. Now, I've been a fan of that horse. And I was like everybody else that's been a fan. Just just was crushed. When I saw that. He was in the one that that that that hurt my heart K, so talk about I guess the tactic is. He's got to get position. He's got to get them out. Do you think that if he's if he's able to to get to the front we'll be right there near the front? Do you think that he still has a shot even though his post position is absolutely brutal? Yeah. The postal issues bad, but the fact that he has natural speed would give me hope with this horse and a couple of things that were will has gone for him number one. He's one on a sloppy track at Churchill Downs. She because Maine, which is a horse's first career win last November sloppy track Churchill Downs. And he won by five lengths. He looked great doing here thing. He's got going forward the way he is trained. He had a really bad trip last time out in. In the Louisiana derby had won the two preparations before that and looked really sharp doing that. Then he lost action out. Starting gate was basically as a major stumble where you lose all position in trip to the back of the pack for the likes to be on a near the lead. That was the end of that. Right. She's worked really well. It's your chill down. In fact, this most recent workout one of the top workouts, any horse that's trained this week sitting into the race. And in the final thing, I'll I'll leave it with having on this worse. This is Jackie Tyler gaffe-prone rides fulltime at Gulfstream Park even up and coming star in the saddle and he's known for being a good gate. Jackie that's aggressive in the saddle the to mesh really well together when this horse had that three race win streak, including the sloppy track. When it chill Tyler gap. Leone was in the saddle you can bet me he's gonna get out of that game. Good order. He's not gonna let those forces cross over the problem with the one hole on derby day. If you've got sixteen seventeen eighteen horses to your right that are all trying to save grounds. And they're all trying to get outside of the inside. He don't break. Speed. It gets very claustrophobic down there. If you've got speeding you can clear off and get physician, even if you're second or third early. It won't be so hard on that horse and he has enough natural speed. But the race will be won or lost the war of will in the opening couple of steps. He needs a clean break from the gate, and he needs to get out there and show some speeds of the horses can't take away physician before they get into that. First term couple of final questions for Kevin gore from FSN and Canterbury park here on late night. When you when you hear about high call today and the possibility that he might be another horse. They could eventually give scratch when do we find out when do we hear about this horse possibly being in or out of the derby? The deadline is nine pm or nine AM eastern tomorrow. So by eight o'clock, our time here, the cornfields when we get up and get our coffee. They'll have to make a decision. He's got an abscess on one of the it's not a serious entry. They are going to bring him out early in the morning tomorrow, Fernando restric- and see if he can get through a Gallup around the track, and it's really a. Slow motion has speed type of workout and they're gonna see that foot response. They've been treating here basically all day and all night to get it ready. They certainly want to take their chance, and there's no real issue for the horse. It's a very minor situation. But if the gal doesn't go well early, they'll probably have to scratch them. And I do think if you're looking at the horse was one of those big deep close that people love to put on their tickets in the derby. This is a pretty big red flag just because everything seems to have to go right for these horses, especially if you're a thirty two one outsider like Haikal is. But we'll know tomorrow by eight AM. All right. So final thing is give me the horse that you're gonna that. You're this. You're looking at betting to win and give me a sleeper horse that that people out there could take a flyer on the I'm gonna stick with game. One of the sixteen who's likely going to be around four maybe five to one at best. So one of the lower price horses on the board the long shot. I'm looking at is the nineteen or century and spin off is his name. He ran second in the Louisiana derby. A horse called by my standards, who's the three on Saturday and getting a lot of buzz around Churchill Downs. But don't overlook spin up this horse has enough natural speed Tober come and outside post, Dr he's a horse that's one on and off track in his debut and Todd Pletcher his trainer here in. You're one of the top trainers in the country. He's got the bloodlines to the distance. He's also got the bloodlines wreak. Wet track is grand sires are dancing and gone. West two of the best wet track. Sires in North American racing. He's thirty two one. And I think he gets a piece of this. I think he gets a great stocking trip. I'll give you the fact that the one the four to six and seven probably a little quicker out of the gate, but he'll be the horse. It sits in that next spot. That second flight tickets I run for the Jackie kind of pick his spots. And I think Todd Pletcher having this horse up and ready. I think spin out run those thirty two one AK g you're the best man. We'll see at the track this weekend. And let's make some. Money look forward to thanks. A lot Henry how I take care of. That's Kevin going from Fox Sports north Canterbury park here on lake night. Coming up next. We'll get back to the twins four. Couple of minutes. Are we underestimating the twins pitching staff? We get to that next. Ten..

"Radio. Wait, forty W H. Yes. All right. I gotta give a quick shout out here. My buddy Virginia brewer over in the sales team. She was at the system this weekend. And she met Jackie Tyler who drives a forklift that the Ford plant, and this is the greatest ever see hates me. But she loves me is what she told Virginia and Virginia want me to give her a south out. Does he hates me? But she loves me that is my favorite kind of listener. I know I'm dead serious. I I don't want you to agree with everything I say, I just want you to be entertained, and I love people that come up to me and say, you know, what man disagree with you. But I love listening to you. Because it ain't about group think here man, I hate group thing. I don't care whether it's on the writer on the left. I cannot stand group think think for yourself so Jackie's my kind of gal because she apparently does think for herself, but she loves being entertained by the show. Drives a forklift. Glad so God bless all y'all over there and Jackie too. So keep making America great doing what you're doing. Just you know, working hard every day. So we love you too. So there you go. I Mark grimala joins us. Now, ABC news. There's a new way to get your credit score ran and it's going to start next year. Here's the thing. It'll make it easier for people with lower credit scores to get access to money. But it's there's an exchange here. It's really creepy. You gotta give them a lot of information. Mark, this is this is kind of creepy. I are we all going to have to go to this. No, no, not likely what this is is the as you mentioned they're rolling out this new thing next year called ultra FICO. And what does is is basically you gotta give them access to your Bank account or savings money market account. You can choose what what accounts you want to give them access to. But basically they're utilizing this to look at how do you manage your money? Do you keep a good average account balance? Do you avoid over drafting on that can give them a sense of whether or not you you manage your money. Well, and if you're likely to repay a loan, but this will use seems to be at least a way FICO is saying this'll be used is for lenders or for me for borrowers who go up to a lender. Wanna get an auto loan? Let's say and their traditional FICO score is not good. So that's still likely to be the primary way. They check your credit worthiness. Then they say, hey, your credit score is not good enough for depressed will give you the money. If you want we can do the ultra FICO, which will give us access to your Bank account. We'll look at that. And then we can determine we'll recalculate your scores. Centrally then we can determine whether or not we can give you the money temporary access to your Bank account or term rolling access where they're tracking you and tracking your purchases and selling it to third parties. That's a good question basically experience partnering with FICO to run your to compile your banking information. That's a good question. I don't know whether or not it's a rolling thing. My assumption would be it's as you're doing a check. So you're giving them access. They look at that. They calculate a score. And then they determine that. But but that is a good question. I don't know actually for sure whether or not that's a rolling system that hasn't been brought up in any of the reports I've seen well. And even even just giving one time access to look at that gives them a lot of information about your buying patterns the things that you patronize the things you purchase. And when you do that that's potential goldmine for experience to sell that to third parties. I I mean, I hope that there's because here's here's what I see here. Mark in this. I think is the deeper discussion around this year. You know, I I like to see people who have made bad financial decisions in the past start to get smart start to make right decisions. Start to climb up that economic ladder. But I don't want them taking advantage of. And I could see this as being away that says, well, you know, this gives access to people who've made a few financial mistakes. Maybe they can go out and buy that car that they know they got a raise at work, and it's not a bad expenditure for them. And we can go ahead and trust them with that. But then we might be taken advantage of them by looking at their stuff and then profiting off of them because remember experience was was it experienced one of the big credit companies got caught with this. And they're you know, they were basically selling people's information and profiting off of it where we became the product here. Yeah. Exactly. And that's kind of a how the twenty first century has seemed to work in a lot of respects is, you know, your valuable personal information may becomes the way that you get things and get and get things for free. That's such a model of the internet. But. That is a great point to think about with something like this, and whether or not, you know, how to protect your data is. And there may be customers who are concerned about Hannie misstated over at all whether or not it's being sold or not. They may just say I don't know that I want someone looking at my Bank account history. But that's what what is nice about. This is that it is an optional choice. Now, some lenders may choose to only use this system. It's going to be there's discretion on the on behalf of the lenders a lot of lenders major stick with the traditional FICO system and say, I don't accept the altar FICO at all. So there is no recourse if you have a poor traditional FICO score. But there may be another lender who says your traditional is not very good. If you want it's an option, you can do the ultra FICO, and we may be able to get you the loan others might just say we only want to do the ultra FICO. So it may depend on who you're going to for an auto loan or edge or a credit card as to determine how that. Works. But you know, the the customer is in the driver's seat. Here is to determine whether or not they want to Melendez that information in the hopes of getting alone. So there is some at least some discretion here on behalf of customers. But this is a could provide some ability for people who have limited credit credit histories, you know, a chance to get along because you know, diving it's two and three millennials don't have credit cards. And they need to buy houses and loan auto loans and things like that eventually too, and they might be able to say, hey, I don't have a credit history. But I make money, and I manage my money. Well, and so now, I I'm very capable of repaying alone. Where you just answered part of my next question. And that was whereas this actually like where does what does this practical for and I know several millennials they don't have credit cards. They don't like debt. But I, but if I were a lender, I would loan them money I because of that because they don't like that. And they manage their money. Well, and this could be a pathway in for them. What don't what what type of purchase though, real quick before? I let you go. What type of purchase? Do you see this being most used for because if you buy a house, they're going to check all this crap? Anyway, they're going to have access to your tax returns. And they're going to have to access to your Bank accounts. And they're gonna wanna know six ways from Sunday why you bought that cap cupcake on credit card lasts six months ago. So they've already got that for that. We just assist just a big boost a used car salesman economies. Maybe maybe it could be for. Auto sales. It could be for any number of things maybe personal loans that you need maybe your credit card. Banks have been doing this for a while. If you get a credit card to the Bank, they most likely looked at your Bank account history to determine whether or not they should give you a credit card and how much credit they should give you, but you know, I it. So as you mentioned there in mortgages and things like that. This is information that may you may already turnover anyways. But in terms of auto loans and other things like that that people do seek money for and seek to go into debt for and payment that could be beneficial. You know to do that. So I don't think it's something that you'll really see people who have good FICO scores. Wanna use to maybe get a better rate? Maybe you know, to say here look at my Bank account to and and give me another half point. Yeah. I don't know if it'll really be used that way. But again, it's really up to the lenders whether or not they're they're going to want to accept this. But this is an opportunity for them to maybe find lenders who otherwise would not be an ideal person to give money to but to determine, hey, this person actually could be a good candidate to repay alone. Yeah. Good point. Mark Remillard ABC. Thanks, man. We appreciate it mortgages are the financial colonoscopy of my word. So that's already. So I see this as boasting used car salesman. You know, we've got another way that credit if I could meet your numbers, we do business, and there's no anesthesia with that. That's right. It is it's crazy. But if this helps people who've made a few bad decisions get on the right path. And I don't think borrowing a bunch of money is the way to get on the right path that don't give me give them. Don't get me wrong. But you have to borrow some go in debt to get credit. Well, you don't necessarily. Well. Yeah. You do. You're right. You have to borrow and. Back to borrow and payback in. So I think the best policy is to not have any debt and pay with cash to begin with. But there are certain things in today's economy that it's advantageous to have a credit line for certain situations. I have a friend who just found that out because they didn't have a credit card, and they went on a trip and thought they could rent a car. With a debit card, and no can't. And I think that it makes sense that you can't rent a car with a debit card because.
