How Christa Helm Got Started in Hollywood

"Foray into the entertainment industry goes back to 1974 about 7 years after her daughter's born, she appears in a low budget horror film called legacy of Satan, then she lands the leading role in let's go for broke. Another forgettable low budget movie described by people as a James Bond spoof. The producers Stewart Duncan put it that way. Apart from singing the movie's theme song, Christa helm portrayed Jackie broke, a TV reporter that gets herself kidnapped to save other brainwashed women working at a pleasure palace. Doesn't sound like this will get over 10% on Rotten Tomatoes, does it? Obviously the film was not successful, but Christa helm gave her best. And when you're young and in the business, you just happy to get the role. You can't believe you're on a set in someone says action. You can't believe you see yourself on screen, even if the movie's shit still gives you a jolt of excitement.

Rep. Jackie Speier Discusses the Next Front in the Abortion War

"You might have noticed that yesterday, Missouri, just announced one of their biggest hospitals, a 165 satellite facilities. They're not offering emergency contraception anymore. So you can see how this erosion is going to become, you know, a landslide in short order. You said something, you know, again, I keep saying we have to by any means necessary help as many women as we can now. Filibuster on and not get enough senators in. I mean, one step at a time here, but you said Rome may be dead, but medication abortion used by 54% of women who have abortions is FDA approved safe and effective, no clinic no waiting past the word. That's going to be the next front in this battle. Talk to us about that a little. Right. So the most people don't appreciate that the morning after pill is not medication abortion. Good morning, after pill is something you can take when you've had unprotected sex as a means of making sure that there is no implantation. The medication abortion is one that can be taken up to 12, maybe 11 to 12 weeks after you have been impregnated and in which the actual embryo is on the side of the wall of your uterus. So yes, it's what we didn't have in the 70s. It's what we do have today because of technology and advancements in pharmacology. And it is FDA approved since 2000 is mifepristone. You take one pill to stop the growth of the egg and then you take another pill to have it shed the egg. So yes, it's going, it's going to be the next, well, it's considered abortion. So that is part of what is being banned. And Republicans make no mistake or trying to come for all of it. They're going to try to make sure women can't get that. They can't cross state lines. I mean, as you said, today's Supreme Court decision is about ensuring women will never be equal, the Supreme Court has become an extreme weapon of the far

"Malcolm ever since before Trump Russia, when you've been warning about all this and the Republican Party's involvement, here they are. They're against sending aid to Ukraine, pushing Putin talking points. We are right back where you and I started with Trump Russia before the 2016 election. And now, by the way, a Russian missile, of course, just hit the civilian shopping center over there, I can't pronounce it. Yes. With over a thousand people inside the building, as I've said from day one, this is not a war. This is a terrorist attack on a sovereign nation. And what we're talking about on January 6th is a terrorist attack on our nation. I mean, that's right. Yeah, go ahead. And ours is internal. These people are using the phrase and when I wrote that book, the phrase Civil War. And for most of them, it's a race war. It really is. This is Timothy McVeigh stuff, the reason that he blew up the Oklahoma City bombing. He thought that it would incite an armed white uprising in America and that they would start killing liberals. They would start killing blacks and other people. And you know, I'm coming back. That's all I'm going to talk about. It's the juxtaposition between this war on democracy here to eliminate its in this country, which is democratic free, you know, and then go to my own home and these people are clamoring for fascism. You know, and to me, it's like I'm stuck in an alternate

Malcom Nance Author of 'They Want to Kill Americans' Was Right

"This, I said this in a hearing, just after January 6th, they called me to testify before Congress. And one of the things that I identified was, I said, there's a reason they were able to mass on the capitol, get in there, start pitched lethal battles with the police using spears, American flags, as spears and Trump flags. It's battering ramps. They were able to get close because they had the camouflage of white skin. Yeah. That was it. And they were thinking, we're not going to hurt or harm people who are like Donald Trump or ourselves. And that was part of their strategy was to close in upon the building and seize the building and proclaim Donald Trump president. I wrote that a year ago and I could not believe it. Then, and now I'm finding out it's all true and this is why people need to buy this book. This week for the next two weeks before this launch because people are not going to take this lying down. They, as, you know, calls for Donald Trump's arrest or indictment or criminality. I still every once in a while, get these feeds from the right-wing blogosphere and the right-wing world, they live in a crazy alternate reality where we are armed, rampant militants tearing up the world. And they brag about the number of guns they have. They brag about it. And you know, I'm afraid that by the time that this, you know, we get to book launch on July 12th, they'll have solidified in their heads that they're going to have to do something about the January 6th committee and the people who are investigating it. And now that they've got their big win in the Supreme Court with roe versus wade, they feel empowered that this country is theirs

"Tweets. All right, buster, it is time for bleacher tweets. So first up, we have Ernesto dio. In all caps, why did Roberts take Kershaw out? I get its early after short and spring, but he was only at 80 pitches through 7. At 13 strikeouts, he could have had one of the most dominant performances of all time. I feel robbed as a fan of the sport. I understand, but, you know, as I was talking about with Jess and with Ravi, Sarah, I just didn't think it was any chance he was going to have an opportunity to finish. What did you think? So there's certain things I consider my villain origin story. One of them being NFTs, the second one being roundabouts, and now Clayton Kershaw getting taken out before he got to finish a perfect game. I get it. I get it, but I'm still really butt hurt about it. You're on bitter boulevard about it. I am on bitter boulevard. And so the next one comes from Mitchell at tigers of Detroit, who were you more impressed with Wednesday. Kershaw or Vlad. Blatty. Kershaw was unbelievable, but for Vladimir Guerrero junior, he gets his hands spiked and is still go out there and hit his second and third home runs in that game. No wonder why Garrett Cole was tipping his cap toward him. Like, man, he is so good right now. He's the best hitter in baseball. I don't think there's any doubt about it. Next up, we have Calvin Harris. Hey buster, you may have seen the rapturous reception for Atlanta third base coach Ron Washington on opening night when his name was announced as part of the World Series celebration. What other position coaches are a particular fan favorite around MLB? Nobody like wash. I mean, think about washes legacy, you know, he was a player in the big leagues, but wasn't really that well known. I think the book Moneyball, when that came out, he's played such a prominent role in that and of course, when the movie came out, he was a character in that movie. And he was manager of the rangers. They make it to the World Series. They came within one David freeze, triple of winning the World Series. And all the attention he's gotten recent years for his great work with the Atlanta infielders. I don't think anybody's at that level among coaches. I think in the past, Dave Duncan would have been a guy you're going to get a lot of attention for his work with the Saint Louis Cardinals, but you don't see coaches get that type of a claim. And it's really cool because watch deserves it. Next up, we have Corey record. I'm so sorry if I mispronounced your name, Cory. What do you all think of an MLB relegation system like soccer uses? Not going to happen. You know, I've heard that Sarah and Corey have heard it too, but that would mean getting an owner to acknowledge that his team is not major league caliber and selling tickets. He becomes more problematic as you representing that's major league caliber. I mean, think about it. Their owners of teams that are tanking, willingly posting clubs with like $35 million payrolls and pretending that it's a major league product. There's no way that owners would agree to a relegation system. But it's a fair question. And lastly, we have Donald Gantz, what's up with Michael conforto? I'm not hearing anything about him. Does Scott have him overpriced? Are teams afraid of recent injury? Yeah, he's in a terrible situation. He was given a qualifying offer by the mets. He turned that down, which means he's attached to draft pick compensation. That's a problem. And then as Scott Boris agent is acknowledged, he heard his shoulder. That also is a problem. And now, if you're a team looking at him, you understand confronted is going to want a short term deal to get his value. And their teams that are not going to give up draft picks in order to make that happen. And, you know, one of the possibilities in the past would have been for a player in a situation to wait for the amateur draft to go by. And at that point, they freed themselves from draft pick compensation, but because of the change in baseball's calendar, the draft is now not till the middle of July. So he really is in a tough spot. I think the only real option for him to come back and play early this season would be if he were to agree to a really underpriced deal for one year and maybe that's the ticket he's going to have coming back. And that's it for bleacher tweets today. Be sure to submit your question using hashtag bleacher tweets and thank you so much. That's it for today. My thanks today to dusty picker just Mendoza, Paul and bikinis, Carl rabbit and Sarah, that's it for this week. And by the way, as we look ahead to our next week because my travel, we're going to have podcast next week on Tuesday,.

"Mendoza is an analyst for ESPN and Jess before we talk about Jackie Robinson day. Knowing you're interested in music, I thought this would interest you earlier in the week. We found out that our friend Sarah Abbott is named for the song Sarah by Fleetwood Mac, her sister is named for the song Amanda by Boston, and I told Sarah the other day. Like it's not even close. She got the cooler song over her older sister. What do you think? Oh, totally. I mean, I feel like Rhiannon needed to be in there somewhere too. Just throw in all the cool. That's awesome. It says a lot about Sarah's parents too. I'm all about classic rock. So Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Stevie mix is like, she's like one of my all time favorite artists ever. Okay, so you're going to be excited about that. But then you're going to be appalled by this. Sarah, before our conversation the other day in the podcast, had never looked at the lyrics of the song Sarah or listened to the song in the lyrics. How about that? What? Sarah? Defend yourself. I felt it would be narcissistic. And also, my sister, I kind of explained it a little bit. She would blast her song all the time. And so being the youngest, I'm like, I don't think I have any right to blast my song over her. But what it's like the song was about a serial killer named Sarah and you were like living your whole life, not even knowing your parents were like, maybe you have to. That was part of the fear. Okay. Okay, that makes sense. I didn't want to know. Very nice. All right. Jackie Robinson day to day. Jess, how did you find out about Jackie Robinson the first time? What do you remember how you went through that process? I grew up a Dodger fan, my favorite player of Sandy Koufax, and so that was a natural extension for me at age 8, 9 years old. What about for you? My dad. You know, he talked a lot about it's amazing. Roberto Clemente satchel page and Jackie Robinson were like three players that really, you know, he was born in 1939. So he got to see Jackie play and just the opportunity and the understanding for him being Mexican American, his family coming from Mexico, just understanding even then at a younger age, the importance of seeing color in a sport that he absolutely loves. I mean, he came from a huge baseball family. His dad and his grandfather played baseball professionally in Mexico and just how important the sport was, but then coming over to the U.S. and not seeing any color. Especially for him, even though the daughters were in Brooklyn. But as they made their way to LA, just knowing the history and the importance of Jackie Robertson, and then what that led to, because in our family Roberto Clemente was like, put on a pedestal, and then thereafter in the 80s when I was growing up, it was Fernando Valenzuela. And it all began with Jackie. And so just hearing the stories of my dad, you know, a lot of dads, I think, talk about the Mickey mantles and the Joe DiMaggio's and rightly so, but in our family, it was about Jackie Robinson. It was about satchel page, just how he'd throw a baseball and a replica mentee and what he meant to our entire community. Nice, nice. Yeah. I just love the fact that every year we have the conversation. And then that you know that there are new fans who are learning about Jackie Robinson for the first time and learning about his legacy. All right, I got a few things to run past. You show how tani last night gets lit up for the first time in his career. He allowed a home run on his split finger fastball on an O two pitch, so the 9th hitter for the Texas Rangers. And as of this morning, he has a 7 5 6 ERA and he's a one 72 batting average, and I'm sorry, but I'm attributing it directly to the shortened spring training. What about you? Yeah, I mean, definitely I think that's for sure part of it. We're seeing that even just with hitters kind of struggle out the gate and just figuring stuff out. But I mean, to me, I think Shohei Ohtani did something last year that set a standard and an expectation that is unreal. I mean, honestly, what Shohei Ohtani was able to accomplish last season. I'm not saying he can't repeat that, but I think there's also now just every time he takes the mound every time he's in the batter's box, we expect greatness beyond anything I think we've ever expected from a player. And guess what he's human? And that's what I saw I think more than anything is, you know, you're going to wake up some days and split might not be what it was yesterday and you were still working on stuff and your body might feel this way or honestly you just don't look at it. And that's okay. I think if we see this consecutively over the course of multiple starts and after we're a month and a half into the season, then it might be something different, but I think ultimately the expectation for show hands honey has never been higher..

"I know. 'cause i just wanna say i just want to say one thing. That was my first episode. Here's what i saw a man who was so embarrassed about how he looked in that he was living in his like giant class chairs. You know that like a lazy boy boy. It was a crusty lazy boy. And he was eating like rosen. Microwave dinners the whole time. And he kept seeing about himself that you can't fix ugly. And he was so embarrassed of his life. Oh very gently asked him to reconsider. Just a few things. That's what i remember. Didn't mean to make it all about me but no but it's it's like the simple act of because he wanted to make a meal for for his acts who still had feelings for just the like putting him into a kitchen and like making the salsa preparing the state for the case it is but like watching that like childlike wonder like literally when i cut open and avocado and he was like looking at it like he'd never seen the inside of one before because he's only ever ordered guac. It is favourite tex-mex restaurant or squeezing a lime and being like where all the seeds and it's like well limestone not seats and i'm not saying that in like trying to like insult him in any way but just kind of like seeing that curiosity and that excitement i think for a moment he was just taken out of thinking about like what he hasn't been doing right and instead he was just enjoying the process of change and the tiny little like golden nuggets of information that we like learn and then watching him prepared for abby for for that for that x. afterwards and the way that she looked at him like she looked like cinderella needs jackie o and she was like why is even happening like this man is making food for me and he was like nurturing himself and making something and taking pride and put in care and also being of service and like doing something for someone else because we learn about ourselves. We want change. We want to be better. And i do think like everyone talks about self care these days in we had promo campaigns for queer eye out and i do think it's incredibly important but i do think scat self-care doesn't exist without taking care of other people. It is a very relationship. It's great because you get to make someone feel good about themselves. And also for a moment it gets you out of your head and you're terminally unique and that you're the only one going through something. I think that is a special kind of magic. It's that people magic that happens when you like get to drop close to other people's vulnerability. It does really help us escape our own. I mean i've had a a rough go with my health. I was diagnosed with stage for cancer. When i was thirty. Five and that has been a rough.

Welcome sister jackie energy. I don't know burn today. Is we had a big get. How's your energy. Do i gotta say. I got my butt kicked a little three hours sleep. I took a nap yesterday in the middle of the day. I never to that. And i still slept like a rock last night But but i'm glad i showed up. I'm glad i went. And i'm glad i was part of of This this this this freedom rally that you had texans for vaccine choice. I think it's so important that we have a choice. It's not that i'm anti medical. I am pro-choice. No matter what it is no one should get the right to tell another person what to do with their body period. That's my stand. I absolutely agree. In what a great event it was we were so thankful you were able to come in to share into connect. You had a message that needs to be heard on saturday. And i know that it's so different from what you normally do. All righty. yeah but you did it. You did it gravely emboli and i'm just so proud of you. Thank you for being there. Well i i appreciate the opportunity to speak. It's only my second time really actually that i've spoken in front of an audience like that. But you know what you have to be brave. We all have to be brave. We all have to be smart. And i love the work that you're doing because this conversation needs to happen it needs to happen in order for us. To thrive our democracy to thrive as a country. I believe that with all my heart. So why did you do this. Freedom fight jackie well simply put. We do three things. I texted perplexing choice. We educate we advocate in. We build community. I think we did. Those three things on saturday had an incredible stellar lineup. Eileen o. for one. I was just so taken aback by the doctors who spoke. Oh yeah i learned so much from them so it was educational was We did advocacy. We talk to families about getting involved in showing up. i mean clearly. Our elected officials knew we were there. They knew we were outside. And we were advocating for our rights. And then i think the third and final component of building community. This can be a lonely journey right. I mean sometimes you feel like you are against the work and we have so many new individuals join us in joining our movement. That really my goal of this event was for everybody to have something to come together on. You have a rope. We knew we were going to have individuals who were fascinated with this. Kobe vaccine who joined us for whatever reason and we even tried to reach out to the lesson. No they are welcome at texas for vaccine choice And so those. Are you know the reasons that we came together in clearly on the advocacy Just to extend the reach to those who are fighting back against these medical mandates We reached a lot of people in saturday. And i'm really glad we did the event. Yeah i am too and you know. I had a purpose bringing my mask with me and showing it to the crowd because i was trying to really convey that there are a lot of people out there that are scared like my seventeen year old daughter. I brought her up in the speech. Because you know and it's funny and mother's day she got me the ring that said mama bear. I talked about that and the speeches well but it's important that we understand that. In order for us to move forward is a democracy we have to. We have to respect one another's opinions about how we feel about what we do with our body right. They have just as much right to choose to get a vaccine as we do to not choose to get a vaccine and i think you know i. Hopefully i accomplished that. Hopefully i did. I'm so glad you clarified on that mission. In what you were relating. I think that compassion is a beautiful message and we might not agree on everything. But we all came together in compassion. Could you imagine how powerful me would be if we did just that. Yeah we have to embrace each other's differences you know Most of the crowd believed in organized religion. I'm a buddhist you know. They're trying to create peace and and you know understanding for how they were feeling in all those mothers and fathers in the crowd. Like you. Jackie that have vaccine injured children. We need to listen to you. We need to make changes in government to protect all children. I'm very passionate about it as you know just like you. But let's talk about the media. Shutout has any mainstream news or media covered the event. I haven't really seen any media coverage i was able to. We went out to dinner after the event or saturday night. And i was thrilled when i looked up on the television and i saw a sure. You know little segment on it. I was hoping i was going to see more. I went home and searches search. I finally found the in. I kinda had to laugh. Because the only coverage i cook fine was maybe a twenty two second clip about freedom. Rally never mentioned our name stated were hundreds. Well there were fifth. He hundred people at least by our admits that showed up to this rally. There's well over a thousand people there. Maybe two thousand and our name is texans vaccine choice. The fact that we've had come right media shout. Let me tell you what they want to show. Is that divisive community. What they want to show is angry protesters. They knew they weren't gonna get that when they showed up. And that's not the message. They were getting. They decided they weren't going to show the.

"Report. When it comes out and to add their own research so. I think it will be a topic of debate very very soon I think there's a lot that we don't know about what the true origin of this is. But from my perspective certainly the leading hypothesis is that there was some kind of a breakout from this wuhan laboratory where they were doing that corona virus research and they work. It was clearly gain of function research. I mean that's clear. In other words. It was bio weapons research. I believe that mandates are morally and spiritually wrong. I agree with with Robert kennedy jr. any also is quoted as saying that human rights guaranteed by the us constitution and bill of rights are being decimated. Do you agree with that. I do i i you know. Human dignity is sort of not explicitly in the constitution. But that's what it's all about bernadette its dignity for free exercise of religion for free speech for freedom of assembly to petition the government the integrity of your body the integrity of your spirit. That's what america represents to the world and these new policies around cove. It closed down churches. That closed down demonstrations that are censoring people. Through social media. Enter telling people they have to inject toxic substances in their bodies. These are decimating our conversation and we should all be deeply concerned And you know you you touched on this a few minutes ago but and this is written by lynne. Mctaggart and brian hubbard. They are the editors of what the doctors don't tell you they go on to say that. Then there's the small matter of unintentional apartheid if seen hesitancy is greatest among the black and asian communities will any government dare to restrict their movements in favor of white people. What do you say to that. Well i seventy. Five percent of african americans had noted the vaccine so far so this is not only going to be an apartheid against black people. This is going to be an apartheid against unvaccinated people. And we're putting up. Jim crow to point right now and i think it's horrifying. We know where that goes. It's good we shouldn't be on board with this. But i'm gonna have to run but always great to talk to you all right. Yeah we've gone a little over a thank you so much. Mary holland. "Jackie o perry welcome to black friday. You introduce yourself. I love i did. It was kind of fun. I felt like person. Well you know. Speaking of flashback friday. We're airing your episodes from april of two thousand eighteen which was episode number. One nine hundred okay. Now today's up so four tenths so it's been a minute each. You're kinda kind. It's going look i offer but you said you're like a little post over there you are hosts you have a podcast now. That's something new. Since april of two thousand eight is you love it. I love the moment to be able to talk about it. And i love being able to give out content. That really is representative of what may impressed in talk about all the time. I don't like all the back end. Stuff the promotion editing. I don't like any of that. 'cause i do most of. Yeah so that's what i don't like oh then i would hate it too. I mean when i started in two thousand fourteen. I did all my stuff. To and it sucked. It was terrible. I don't even know how people who listened. But now i get to do this. And then i leave and then somebody else handles. So that's what you need to off. Learn about how to do that. Because i just can't keep up. Yeah it's a lot well. Thirty minutes with the perez. That's what it's called right because there's only three. Oh he loves it. I mean he just gets to talk and he loves it. It was not idea and every season. It's been his push. It hasn't been mine and so yeah but it is cool. Because that's what makes it easier is that we do talk all the time in real life so you really are just hearing us banter about whatever is not as planned. We don't know what we're going. We just kind of go where we end up. You know that is interesting. I didn't know that about you guys. Is that what we hear on that. Podcast is a reflection of what it looks like in your house having these conversations all the time. Do you think that helps you guys stay. I'm gonna say a word. The tyrrell cheesy bill cutting edge like thinkers and learners and wanting to be into conversations. You think that helps that you do it on the daily like maybe. I think it helps us. I don't know maybe it helps our intimacy just a couple to be able to talk to build out. So i think a respect because i value his opinion in his perspectives. You know actually care about what he has to say but he also studies things in looks at things from a lens that i don't so i'm also intrigued. I'm curious how he sees the world so you know. I've been thinking about intimacy a lot the last couple years. I don't know why. I think like someone just rocked. My world with talking about intimacy is not just sexual. And i think i would have known that. Obviously if i would've just put a little brain work to it. But i think over the past couple of years. I've just been thinking you can have intimacy with people that you're definitely not sexually attracted to or sexually intimate with and i think that what you just said. Jackie is something that so many couples start to lose over the years that mental intimacy and spiritual intimacy. And that's what you're talking about is that you have this intimacy together. Because you're using your brain together which i think gets lost sometimes because i mean i think if we talk about intimacy in the way that people frame it which is usually just six that starts to be affected when you can't even talk like that's usually sign up like i don't wanna talk to you if i definitely don't want to have sex with you. I don't want to have sex with. I think just being able to bond over a conversation just has a way of spilling over into the bedroom where it's not sure i mean i look back and think about some like my most favorite moments with aaron and when we kind of have this undivided attention and listen. I got four kids..

The only other instance I can think of is I watch the Snippets of Colin Jackie O on Instagram and tick Tok on one light bulb. So that that to me is really interesting cuz I'm kind of skeptical person of I'm I'm the same. You've got to earn my you gotta earn my love for what'd you do? You know if someone recommends a movie to me, I want it like I'm not just going to watch that movie cuz you tell me it's good. But what's the yeah reviews and check it all out decide for myself. Yeah, and I I just wonder what it is that you've learnt from those two guys over the years and what do you think it is cuz you're sort of there at the coal face with some what do you think it is that people get from James, Iha I think I'll be in this word is so overused with them but it's it's so true. Their chemistry is amazing and and it just amazing luck that they got put together and found that that bond that of fosted I think for listening to that you feel that you just different. Yeah, you want to be a part of it and and and I wanted a part of it, you know, so I think that's what sets them apart is. It's genuine. It is really genuine. I can count on one hand the amount of times with fake things off and every time we go, there go. Why don't we do that? We we hated that we hated faking it and and people laugh at them all the time for doing things like the marathon and stuff like idiots, you know shorter you just jump when I have a cat while you say you're going to have a shower but like that's not them and I think it's it's them being so genuine and it's the chemistry between them that really draws people in and and you feel like you're listening to an honest wage. It doesn't feel like it cuz you know, well, I don't like being Hoodwinked. I don't like being made a fool out of and if I think some something's fake. I think well, you know, I'm I'm not dumb. I subscribe to the belief that all children deserve loving parents and all loving adults who want to be parents should have that right to but thank God. They're thinking of the children because as everyone knows before babies are a loving home they always wanna ask. Excuse me about. Where do you put your Dick?.

"The first temptation was if you ever Christ camonte stones to become bread. The temptation was to use the power that God had given him the Authority for himself. The second temptation was. If you're the son of God. Throw yourself done from this tyler. The temptation was to use the power that God gave him for effect on the third temptation. Tation if you'll buy down we'll give you all the kingdoms of this world and this vendor. He could have had all the T- could let's see and I believe that. This was a temptation for instant ministry. I was in Taiwan one on and I was speaking to a group of pastors and I was telling them when you get involved with the four this ministry history is the snowiest. This is the one that will look good. And this is what I'm offering you. People the slowest no the slowest. Starting I actually believe that if we will be involved with the poor. This is the quickest way a reaching the world but it will not bring instant effect and what most of us in the church want instant ministry if I can receive the par voice for I can instantly do things. It's easier to say I'm going to give up life for the loss than it is to die. Danie van eat is to give up my right to Wednesday's of and this is a lot of the problems that we have with Christians when we say. Would you mind doing this Wednesday. I know it's it's your day off. And they say no. This is my Dale. I shall die without gic when you've got people who are dying because it's not okay to look after them on Wednesday. They don't understand that. This is the Christian. Stay off and I will say up your day off it because in giving up your Wednesday he'll get many Marcellus. You won't lose out and and the disciples always coming to Jesus and saying don't go to Jerusalem you'll buy all pizza said no no no. No Oh Lord. You won't die and Jesus was very rude. It's not a popular thing to say. Give up your days off. If these days everything that we're taught to the opposite lukasz to yourself know your boundaries and when Peter said to Jesus no Oh y'all not die Jesus get behind me Satan for. He knew that the purpose of him coming was to. She died when he was going to. What's Jerusalem? Luke Thirteen thirty two. "So otherwise up go check out Jackie Keishi on. Join the wind in some forward operating base that is that actually existing. I'm supposed to be going to a lot of black ops place. The idea of you tweeting like all right? I'm up for it up or base. And everybody comes to this show. And I know that like you both are in aren't doing that funny promoted the same way, you promote a show flappers Guantanamo Bay. The entire audience will be black bagged. Exactly, they just need laughs. You guys. So this is a USO thing. How does armed forces entertainment? It's the US pays poorly. Oh, so it doesn't pay as well. And to my knowledge USO gigs are in the bigger basis the armed forces entertainment. They're just like it's one. It's a triple run. It's just a one night or run. Roots rebel front is literally in a van for a bunch of it. Would you mind say, no? And I won't feel weird at all. But I would love to know like a ballpark amount of money. You get for doing a base in both. It's it's it's something like one hundred thirty four dollars a day if you're performing and then a not that if you're not performing in this only, so I'm getting I believe thirty two hundred dollars for three weeks. How which is not a lot of money. But what you get. And here's the thing. And this is this is geez. What you get out of. It is this is a captive audience. These are people, and I've, and I've told the truth I've done other ones told the troops. This is that I don't even have to be funny. I just have to be someone else. Standing there like any any story that isn't about this guy that I've been standing next for fourteen months any story that isn't about his wife is going to be a fucking win. I am going to be least. Fan for life like home. They want to go to comedy, right? Doing these these things ever since we've been at war. So the whole time. Oh, I hope keeps going on. Fun, steady work. You're a war profiteer. Exactly just a shitty. More breath. Jackie case. I call you. Call me out I'll make it boots that don't last. So but the yeah. But I like literally there just to see you. Ward. Like, I'm bringing all these games because I know a guy works, PlayStation who gave me all these PS four games because they have PS fours than a bringing a bunch of board games. And as soon as I announced it on Jackie Laurie show on the door forest. People start shipping me shit. And I was like don't also need to bring clothing, and I'm not flying delta. So I don't get free luggage. So I can only bring some bringing like it's like I was sitting forty PS four games. And then I have a brigand to car they're smaller card games mutant crops and getting their this stuff to do. So they've stuff to do. I could drop them off at their library or their MWR. The morale kind of unit area, and they could share all these games, and they can not get bored out of their minds. A friend. Twenty two servicemen service people kill themselves every day. Oh my God. I didn't hear about That's that. like gigantic. I need a huge epidemic. Twenty two a day night dinners number was that they also say that it's not even fully taking into account the full number because there's a lot of people who are basically I guess like off of the registry off like they actually like went through basic training. And then actually didn't like right never never made it or they just fell off the grid entirely. And you don't know. So it's I mean, the suicide rate is brutal. So you've got to bring these. So like, so literally the best way that I've found to get out of depression is to help someone else because it makes me stop thinking about myself. It does that priority. The committee meeting going on in my goddamn head. Yeah. Is a terrible terrible committee meeting. It is an I do my best not to read the minutes in their entirety to my husband who doesn't need to fuck in. He's like just a bullets. Please. Just tell me is there anything I could do much own..
