"Getting off on entering comes small. And now the instigators presented by Seneca Resorts and casinos. Nothing else comes close. Behind the scenes. We were challenging these guys very, very much. Um, which is a big part of it, because we need them to be better and again. I I coached as if I would be here next season. Uh, you know, obviously, I wouldn't want to be standing behind a bench in October. And not have taken advantage of this opportunity to get these players valuable experience playing against top teams experiencing not only that, but the potential of failure. And then addressing it with them and challenging them to become better because of it. At his head coach. New head coach Don Granado, officially hired by the Buffalo Sabres yesterday. Instigators W G R Sports Radio 5 15 MSG Good morning, everyone Game two of the Stanley Cup final tonight. And we'll talk about Don Granato. Craig's got some trade ideas for Jack Eichel, because I wrote something this morning in a text message, and and it got ribs, ribs, a Bruin, But first of all, I say good morning to you, Rev. Pain in the ass right off the bat to and the group meeting. I mean, uh, I joined one bills live yesterday to talk about the hiring of Don Granato and, uh I corrected. Brownie when he said co host of the instigators and then so, Jay Harris said, Oh, good job correcting Brownie with the co host of the instigators thing and I said, uh I said, Yeah, I said, just for the record, everybody back there and then I even prefaced. It was saying whatever Craig jumps in with saying here, don't listen to it. It's the truth. You know, I really don't care. If I'm called the host of the co host, it's just something that I have fun with, because in no way, shape or form could Craig ever be called the host? So like he literally just answers questions. So that's why I say, because it's just fun because I correct myself because you're you're really just a cost. That's how I worded. I, uh I I would actually go even as far as to say that. I'm just I'm a guest, but I'm on every day. Your your daily guest? Yeah, like I don't even think that co host should be in my title. I would say every day guest. Okay, Um And I think that better suits my my my abilities and, you know, listen, I'm okay with that. I listen. We all have our jobs. We all have our strengths and we all have our weaknesses. Um And I won't have any week. I'm all cat. I will tell you whatever you want to call me Got nice, sick, thick leather skin, And you know what? We? We have fun every single day and I listen, I'll give you the prop. Speedy. You are the host. Oh, my God. No! Stop. See, this is where I got a wonderful this. Listen, I don't want everybody to listen right now. I'm gonna you do a very good job. Alright. I'll give you five minutes to talk about what you do. You do a very good job. I've really enjoyed working with you. You truly are the host of this, uh, this instigator. And I'm just happy to be here. I'm happy to just answer questions. Now. I just want to hang up. I gotta hang up and listen. I just want to hang up and listen, because this is this is beautiful. It's a beautiful moment here. Speaking of beautiful moment, I'm sure the Granado family is very, very happy. Yeah. And you know, I'm I wasn't surprised. I spoke of it yesterday. Craig, I'll give you I'll give you the moment here to take it away. I was I was not surprised. Were you surprised? I was not surprised at all. I think that don Granado For me for me. Um, you don't have to look any further. Than Rasmus Darlene. Yoki. How are you? Casey, Middle Stat. Page Thompson. And you can just you can keep going through the lineup of you know Matea Samuelsson, Um Dylan cousins, Rasmus Ass spline. I need Sam Reinhart like there was so many players that turned around their game. This is this is a man. This is a man that took over a team that was on an 18 game losing streak. Says that this is a man that had to not only, um, change the environment and when I say that the way they practiced the way they came to the rink every day. You know he needed to change that environment. The hardest thing for a coach. By far is to deal with the brain. Of an athlete. Was once an athlete loses confidence. It's extremely hard to play the game at a high level. We all watched Rasmus Darlene at the start of the year. Well, let me ask you something in just how hard is it for Don Granato to take the team with where they were with their confidence. Even just make them look. Yeah, Respectable on the can win a lot of games. They didn't win a lot of games when he took over. But it looked like a completely different hockey team. And that's the most important thing. I think that the fan base really appreciated and loved. He was very honest when he spoke to the media, okay. He understands that where this team is at And There's something that needs to be built. When your head coach, you're going to say the same thing. Going to be cliche type stuff. You know, I got to build the environment I've got. I work on this work on that. It's the same thing is, but He went out in a in the toughest situation of any coach in the National Hockey League and changed The psyche of a many, many players that played in the last 2025 games of the season. And that's why he is the head coach now of the Buffalo Sabres. He has earned He has earned the respect of the players. Any trust of the players, the trust of the players and he earned this opportunity because of what he the change. It was almost noticeable. You can see the change in the structure into which they played the pace in which they played. It seemed like players that were struggling immensely at the start of the year under Um Um, I forget his name already. Ralph Krueger. Um, you could see a change in the players and how they were playing the game under Don Granato. So I'm really excited about this. I'm excited to see I'm excited for Don Granado because he also He also had a depleted lineup. Okay, and I would like to see what don Granato can do with a four Buffalo Sabres lineup starting next year and there is going to be changes. There is going to be changes. And I'm excited to see what he can do with those changes. Instigators w gr 5 15 MSG I need to mention Darren Dreger is going to join us today at 11. Why today at 11 because Friday we're off. We're off all next week. Elliot won't be on with us tomorrow because at 11, we will carry the don Granado Zoom press conference as he is introduced as the 20th head coach in franchise history. Um, But you just said you just said something. And you know there are tweets coming in. You can tweet us at the instigators. He's at Craig Rivet. 52. I'm at the instigator 76. What do you think of the higher Give us a call. 80305 58 85 52 5 50 Now that the coaches hired What's your next order of business for the Buffalo Sabres? 80305 58 885 52 5 50 See if we get some calls on the line here. Um Someone tweeted to me and said some good coaches left on the table. And I said, Um, I didn't say anything. I just thought Yeah, there were I said, But this is an indication of anything does this higher does this higher? Indicate anything to you, Craig specifically because I feel like back when we were talking about the coach hire. We talked about things like, um Will the direction of the team have anything to do with the higher if they hire a John Tortorella, who was still out there or a Rick talk it who is still out there? Um Are they keeping Jack Salmon resto and trying to go for it and continue to build on the fly and bringing a coach that might be a little more familiar with working with high end stars and getting the most out of them. Or do you hire a Don Granato?.

"The rocket launcher you. Don't use it. The grenade launcher one of the to. But there's like this the the there's this whole thing with jack who yeah when he has power is extremely powerful but he he has the. It's kinda like in good omens where when they thought they had the anti christ and they're like you know if we influence with some good and bad he'll just come out neutral and kind of that way he had the potential to be really evil and he does do some bad things but he gets manipulated and some other things happened. So he's genuinely. He's not bad issues his but his powers could be used for bad because he is so powerful. So yeah there's lake. You them trying to figure out how jack fits into their life Because he does consider cast. Y'all like his father and you know vice versa. So yeah he's family because casio's family but at the same time you know they're trying to handle this but at the same time they're also trying to get a handle on the fact that these these last few seasons are really about free. Will they kind of jack salmon and dean and casio or like you know team. Free will two point. Oh yeah this day i Of do they generally have free willer. Not because one more. I introduced chuck as a supposed prophet under a pen. Name written all these books that are essentially. The supernatural tv series novel. Form is extremely accurate. Yes but so. There's this whole idea of as he's writing things and that stuff comes to pass. It's like okay. It's supposedly he's channeling from ward as a prothesis like okay do they actually have their will make their own decisions or is it all preordained. And then it turns out that chuck is actually god. And he's been playing his own game of manipulation And we learn they've they we get into the multi-diverse here where there are different. Earths in different universes where some things have slightly changed Something has changed so that there are. There's their lives have had different different outcomes like you know in castel goes and reads dean from perdition in like every other universe. Casteel doesn't stick around and that changes everything So or you know if their mom hadn't died when sam was six months old or if they're you know dad had not died once they get reunited In the in the first couple of seasons. So you know. It's like the the whole butterfly effect but Chuck for whatever reason as god has just become to quote cast yell and ask but server. He didn't like him and everything in my power to rub them out get he here. He considers himself this great author of everything and when they his characters fight back against the story he's trying to write them into it. Pisses him off So even in the season fifteen episode awards soot chuck paces visit tabacchi. Yeah mbeki cheeks. Look the stop. Hold that he was going to end well for you. So it's like he he's doing he's trying to do everything in his power to show team free will that they don't have free will and whatever he throws it them they're gonna have to deal with because at the end of the day. He's the puppet master so it's like he released like all the souls in howell and the season fourteen so they got a try to figure that out and they do with arenas help a love for a weena burst. She's introduced says this one off character. Am i gonna like you and then when you find out she's crowley's mother whole lot existing. You love her even more yes. She's this feisty redheaded scottish irish just crazy tornado of just mad by the wonderful connell. Yeah yes she's a witch so she's extremely powerful but she's just i love or weena at. I'm so glad that Yeah how they That they finalized character. I definitely like the way that her character ended up where she she has to sacrifice herself to help. Close the rift. That all the in hell erasing. But in the process she becomes. Queen of hell percy if that's not the best job i don't know what kind of full circle 'cause crawley was a crossroads demon he bumps up king hell gets does mama's taking over for sun her so but Are they in the process of them. Trying to stop all the souls who scaping jack dies but then his body becomes a meat suit for demon that supposedly just wants to put things back the way they were crossing onset causing this jackson. Again which causes a rift between danny dean and cast yell again so they separate for awhile but I it just kinda comes back down to the final showdown the be all to end all for everything is you know. God is out there. Those the multi-diverse he's destroying the multi-diverse so he's destroying all those all those other earths all is all their alternate universes and you know there's going to be the last one because supposedly it's his favorite favorite show. Yeah so they got to try and figure out how to stop. Literally god with yeah. They don't really have any friends left. Rowena don crowley's gone lucifer. Comes back for a little bit but he ends up betraying them but they knew he was going to do that. adam come back briefly. Yes half.

"Officer, Police chief or county sheriff in the state. Getting information directly from them. Of the women they support constitutional, Kerry and whether that would be affected. If it was revenue neutral for their training program. Secondly, the constitutional carry bill that will be introduced. But there are more than one will have a vehicle for replacing those funds. And we're working with legislators. Have their voter survey have a better question. Constitutional carry, so we're walking on all those things. Little lot of individual lobbying the police officers and police organizations across the state. That's what you do to build a consensus. That was what you do to identify the obstacles you have to a piece of legislation and then overcome those officers. Also, you get it past that's how it works. You don't drop a hand grade on the rest of your caucus so you can turn around and criticize him later. Here's what happened on constitutional care. We knew what we had to overcome. So we put in place of multiple year program to overcome each of those obstacles and a lot of legislators and me. Other gun rights groups are working really hard on overcoming each of those obstacles. We set a target for this year 2021 this legislative session. Why? Because one. It's a budget year so we can adjust that funding. We can replace that funding for police training has to happen in a budget here. And it gives us time to overcome that police opposition. And it gives us time to work on that votre service issue and to get awareness out among voters. So when they see that question on the voter survey that legislator send them, they know what it's really referring to, and they answered in the way that we're really reflects their views. Doing all those things. That's how you get things passed. It's hard work. It's consensus building. It's communication. So in 2019. We weren't there yet. Everybody knew it. So, he said. You know, it's not the year for constitutional care. We don't have the support yet. We haven't overcome the obstacles yet. Let's be smart about this. Let's introduce it next time when we can get it passed. There were several other key pieces of legislation. That we could get past and ultimately we did get past Including the free five year license, including church, Kerry. Issue they're being if your church was on the same property. You're in the same building with school or a daycare. It was all school property, and it was a felony to carry their Been small through the bill. Jack Salmon here from Indianapolis in previous sessions had written the bill. We're trying to get that fixed. And then the bill. High Road Self defense immunity if you lawfully unjustifiably use force in self defense. You have civil immunity for that. You can't get sued. Or if you get sued. There's a vehicle for getting that dismissed early and the plaintiff who sues you, even though they or their family member was hurt. By the lawful and justified use of force. Oh, say, because they're Because they themselves or their family member was a dangerous criminal who was hurt to the lawful and justified use of force in self defense. They have to repay the defended their attorneys fees if they file a prohibited action. So we were targeted those things to happen in 2000 and 19. We knew we weren't there yet on constitutional care. You can debate whether we should have been. You can debate whether Republican should have gotten behind it then, But we hadn't overcome the obstacles and everybody knew that folks have done are any of that that I was working with. And I certainly knew that So we said, Okay, this is in our year. But the next budget here, which is by the way, 2019. That's when we're going to be prompt. That's when we're going to get it done. It was a plan if you were involved in Second Amendment issues If you busted your ass for years, like I have, and several other people have, including legislators like Ben Smalls. Jerry Tour and Jim Lucas. More recently, Christie Stutman. Over in the Senate, Aaron Freeman. He tore his sparks before We lost her to Congress. Okay, I'm gonna miss her in the Senate in Indiana, but I'm glad she's in Congress. Why was work hard on these issues for a long time, and we had a plan. So what happened in 2019? How did curtain Eiseley the guy who wants to be able to stand up? Go? Look, I'm the only one fighting for you. How did he throw a hand grenade into that process and almost killed all those bills that we busted our ass to get passed in 2019. And how is that precisely Identical The B s. "Haven't had much in the way of steelhead reports. Mainly because of either too much smoke on the trinity and fires and the trinity and road controls or the Klamath on that and the national forest being closed where you can't even get to the pudding ends and the take outs with the drip boats. You can't access the clam of off Highway 96 because it's on Forest Service land. Well, that's all changed. The the four foreign are open. It was some restrictions for access their back fishing the clamour some days the smoke is gone on the trinity of the day's not but a guy that knows about it. It's Matt Mitchell, Matt Mitchell's Guide service and He joined just now. Good morning, Matt. So tell me about Trinity. But down there how is deficient? Mom. It's been pretty consistent with the first person from run, D M and shown us and definitely coming in behind him. That's good. That's good. What section are you fishing Generally. I've been down in Junction City area. That's okay trading. Yo. Well, you know you the river's low Then you get a little boost from Canyon Creek there, don't you? Yeah, you should do it brings then. Probably this year only about 20 years last week, submarines for sure that's for sure. I I heard though, that it was there was ah, pretty fair amount of both salmon and steelhead down by de Loma. Have you heard that? I have? Yeah, Actually, I went fishing on the lower plan last week when they stopped him. Checked out in water, and there were quite a few fish team. You've been all the way down into three. Yeah. So I think that's only going to get better. Yeah, well, you know, the weather could help us out a lot here, don't you think? Not you supposed to have some rain next week, So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for? That would be wonderful. That would be absolutely wonderful. Uh, how are you fishing for the steelhead mad? I know you. You do everything. So what have you been doing lately? You know between the stamina ls that like the drag grow or we throw spinners either, Or it just kind of depends on the day. The other cloudy days. I like that spinner bite, So I've been throwing spinners. But on the sunny days, the Rose seems a little better. Yeah. Have you specifically When I say Howdy, I mean, smoky days. Okay? Okay. Now is the smoke. Talk to the guys at Del Loma, they say sometimes. The smoke's pretty bad If you have respiratory per problems probably shouldn't go down, he said. But other days it's pretty good. So what has it been for you? Can you smell of smoke? You can and some days like they said, worse than others. It kind of depends on wind direction. In fact, that's why I'm not working today is because my client has a heart issue and didn't think it was a good idea. Yeah, well, that's a good idea. Miles will be safe. You know why take a chance? Yeah, he rescheduled for a couple weeks. So Yeah. So you like to fly fish on maternity as well. Don't you're mad. I sure do. I have a deputy fly fishing trips yet this year, But you're in about two weeks I changed gears and I'll do almost exclusively by efficient. Yes, sir. Right now. People want Sam and while they're still fresh Yes, sir. That's correct. Yeah, well, you know, just think of the years and years and years all the guys on the upper Klamath. They catch those fish to eat so much, maybe smoke, but they went out with white tackle and maybe caught 15 or 20 Sam in a day. Done, And that's what they went for. Just that kind of action. Where is on the Trinity? You catches nice salmon. My goodness. It's like fish in a trout stream and you're catching a £15 fish on light tackle. Doesn't get much better than that. Now It's a lot of fun. And and this year we get we get plenty of opportunities every day. So it's it's actually been a good year. And you think that there's ah good number of fish in the river. I do. I think in the last 10 days or so there's been 800 fish showed up at the hatchery. So and there's and the were injunction. City's been seeing fish moved through every day. So I think that the others there's a good number of fish in the system already in that upper stretch that top 30 Miles, and I know there's a bunch of behind him because I saw him with my own eyes last. Yeah, yeah. That's the that's the beauty of the paternity. A lot of time you can look right down from the highway, turn out and see the salmon moving up from ripple the riffle. That was good at a lot of fun to watch. Yeah, it really is. And then this year, Matt, I think ah, you know that the actual last day of fishing for adult salmon on the lower clamor down below which effect to the one on one bridge on that last day, which was a Monday A big run of fresh salmon came in. So those are probably the ones you're seeing down by Willow Creek. Coming up the river. I would guess. Have a guess, too. Yes, sir. There's and there's plenty of fish in that little planet. I was there last week. Swing implies steelhead and I watched and they still feed Jax and I probably saw 40 or 50. Salmon cod two days they're efficient. Yeah. Did you get a steelhead over there? We, uh was a little slow. We got some half pounders 1 £10 adult came out of the water and spit the hook. But we did pick up three or four Jack salmon as well. That's fun on a fly Rod, huh? Oh, yeah. Good. Good times. Yeah. Okay. Matt will look, it will be checking back with you. And thanks for taking the time this morning to call in. I do appreciate it. Thanks. Yeah, feel later. Matt Mitchell. You want to book a trip with Matt? He does it all. He has a passion for it. As you can tell. His number is 530604. 9746 Okay. "Org's Well, let's find out what is or what is not happening up in the Eureka neighborhood of Northwestern California with Kenny Priest. He's with us now, I guess. So you're still fishing for the jack salmon? We are much the only game in town here. There's a lot of fish in the river. But right now you could only keep Jax now. Now when the, uh we got a notice. Last week. I think it was that was like two weeks in a row are the same situation. You and I talk on Saturday morning, and then after the programme, I get a release that the river is closed. Like first of all was the spit was closed down below Highway 101 on Monday. And now this last week. How the river met its quota, and it closed at midnight on Monday. But you were on the river Monday where you could still fish it for adults. And what a coincidence. The river closes that night, and you got a new run of big fish. Yeah, if you know, finding, you know, And on top of that, you know, not only was there a fish that everyone else on the water Goldwater. So what That means is, you know there's work is coming, and it just kind of all happened at a bad time. Fisher coming cold waters coming and then now you can't keep adults. Now that's a little late for new runs of fall run fish to come into the river, isn't it? I guess so. You know, it seemed like you were late this year. No, he did not come up in big numbers in that warm water, but senior fires, but everything else started cool down. That's the door to have fish case they will definitely this year. Now there was also you had you didn't see were the department official wildlife You didn't felt feel that they they did a very good job. Stand on top of the Count's What was that all about? Well, just, you know, it was a very small quota. So you're talking 194 Fish fit and 648 fish on the toad from which affect down that's not very big. So you know the calendar. You know what I what? I thought, you know they were at the boat ramp every day for the majority of the folks. Tell me back too. So I think we need to smoke. A little like that, in every matter seems like more on it, but I didn't. I didn't feel like they were. No. They were counting a lot of the fifties. You know how they data? I don't know how they do it, but it seems like you no more on it and, you know, counting over Found that a little bit learning. Well, it is especially because this was projected to be ah, very low numbered salmon season on the clam with the, uh, doing the count is part of the protection. I mean, come on. I mean, the Klamath. We used to get 180,000 fish upto the hatchery or, you know just incredible. We're talking about 600 fish we can catch In 45 miles of River. And they don't do any better job than that. That's that's Ah, that doesn't look good to me. If it doesn't And this is one of years while they could've really counting everything that you know that right? I mean, they should have folks at all places. And, you know, I think I think I think you missed that. Missed the boat on that. You know where we did go over the code, you know? Predictably, when 127.

"Everybody. This is Kate Que outdoor show. I'm Bob Simms. Thank you for tuning in this morning. There's been some changes this week. In most areas, there's West smoke. It seems like a new life. After months of the whole North state and even Mohr being covered with smoke, you forget how much you appreciate a little blue sky now and then. Other changes for the better is the number of salmon coming up to Sacramento River. Uh and we're not. We're not at his peak at all. I'm not convinced. A lot of the salmon coming up the Sacramento River right now are destined for the American. I think it's too early for that. The American River Fish come in later, usually about the you know about the middle of October. We're almost a month away from that. And you have to remember this as we go through the program and talk about salmon fishing today, every single salmon run in every river this year has been late, and that's true UPIN, the rogue River and Oregon So it's kind of a question, Mark. You know this is we're at the point. We don't know if they're going to come or they're just late. Course we we have that every year. When we went fishing slows down a little bit, but this year, I think there's really something to it, because if you recall there really came in very, very late in the Klamath River, and just last Monday, remember, we were talking Saturday. Where they just came out with the release that the lower clam up that means below the witch peck Bridge on the clamor for the trinity dumps in us about 40 miles up River. 45 miles. That was that was going to be closed because they reach their quota. And that was going to be closed Monday night. So you could fish the river Monday. Will they fished a river Monday. And a whole new school of fish came in. It was obvious new schools of salmon never come in after the middle of October on the climate, they're already in the river. So that's one indication, another indication The fishing in the Sacramento River up, Uh, in both above and below Red Bluff is not what it normally is. By this time of year, your going out. You're working hard. The guides are getting One or two fish a day. If that some days, it just shuts off course. That's not unusual. Because right down here in the Sacramento River, you know you have some days You've been doing good all week. And all of a sudden, not only you're not catching a fish, but nobody else you see up and down the river that is salmon fishing, so We still have a few unanswered questions with regard to salmon. But you know each week will gnome or the fact is, there's more fish in the river this week than there were last, and they are catching him from Sacramento down the aisle, and we'll get reports there today. Um On the clam with itself. You know, they're relegated now to the jack salmon, which 23 inches and under. Now you can go out and fish for those You're gonna hook a big salmon now and then, But you have to release it so I'm not sure why they do that. I guess it's to at least keep alive some sport fishing in the lower climate with the jacks, So I mean the Jackson coming up. They're immature fish. You're going to go up. There's still going to die. So it's a waste of resource. In one case, so why not open him up? But why stress the larger fish? It's a question, but at least you can go do that. If you don't want to keep any big Sam on the jacks are great eating. But where? Nothing wrong without um the steelhead, uh, are Not in the lower Klamath at all. They are upriver. They're filtering up through the trinity filtering up to the clam up and we're not going to do too much. A report there because, like right now, happy Camp that huge fire up there. Is right that literally burned up part of the edge of town of Happy Camp. They're trying to keep it on that side of the highway. Uh, it's a bad situation. They have the road closed up there so We'll wait till they get that in control before we we talk more about that with the Trinity. I'm not too sure. But it's early in the season. There's no no no reason to rush that. And you know, to be honest where there's fires in an area. I still wouldn't venture into that. You've just become part of the problem if you do so, um They're still there were trace an albacore this week, but I think the weather just current turned kind of nasty. Ah, we'll find out in a little bit, uh, the Bay area fishing. Bayer efficient just plugs along there still catching a few salmon. We're catching hell of it. The hell of it. Just don't go Don't want to go away. This is this has got to be the greatest halibut year ever. I've never seen anything like it. I hope now Halibut is very cyclical. We can never hope for this kind of a year every year. Even if nobody fishes form. They're still sick. The goal so, but hopefully we'll get another good year out of it before it starts dropping off a little bit. Ah, the Feather River is going through some kind of a weird phenomena here. There's plenty of fish in that upper river. They're just not hitting and I don't know what else to blame. I accept the water is very, very low. It's very low. Now. They're starting to hold backwater, Teo, you know, because we don't know what kind of range we're going to get..

"All right, let's get over to headquarters from the Bloomberg Business Desk and stock traders bracing for some possible market turmoil today and Yeah, That's right. Options and futures are expiring. They call this event quadruple witching, And that means we could see some pretty big price swings today in the market right now, The Dow futures are down. 20 S and P futures up six. And the NASDAQ indicator is higher. It's up 54 The U. S government will freeze Tic Tac's app and banned some transactions over We chat starting Sunday, President Trump provided until November 12 for the national security concerns posed by TIC Tac to be resolved. If they are, those prohibitions may be lifted. London stocks down about half a percent Right now, the NASDAQ futures up 53 down futures down 23 points. I made CORI with a Bloomberg Business report on news 93.1 kfbk Ed. Thanks so much time for the outdoor reporters Bob Simms. The main news on Tomorrow morning's outdoors show between five and eight is going to be the salmon in the Sacramento River. From Sacramento on down to aisle 10 revista that area the whole river. People are catching fish now. It's not red hot. It never is. Really. But you go out. You got a good chance to catch a salmon. Maybe more. The guide you're doing pretty good two or three fish a day. Pretty good fishing up on the Klamath River. Wouldn't you know if they have a quota up there, and that quota was met last Monday Just as a new wave of salmon came in. So the Klamath River below which pick where the Trinity River comes in. Now relegated to the jack Salmon 23 inches and under, but still a lot of fun. Bob Simms kfbk Alright, it is Friday, September 18th time For what? You're what happened, and Albert Arnold joins us with more on what you're going to start with. Yes. Gonna start with the year 17 93. And that's when George Washington laid the Capitol cornerstone of what would be the Capitol Building in Washington, D C ing It took more than a century to finish, though, 100 years time. Yeah, they took the good old times and it is so let's get this right the next one I have year 18 48, and that's when baseball wrote that a first baseman. Contact the bass instead of the runner for an out great rule. Yeah, Awesome rule love that room. I like it as well. Ok, I'll take your word for it. And the last one I have is the year 1961 my Oh, yeah, That's Bobby Vee and his song..

"Of those fires which were most of them caused by lightning. Then the creek fire down near Madeira and east of Madeira starts and that thing just raged from the get go. It's up to I think 175,000 acres. I just checked this morning. The containment date estimate for the creek fire. Is October 15th. So we're going to be suffering from smoke for a while. Other fires as they get a handle on him. It's going to happen gradually. Maybe we'll get a little fall weather. But I doubt it That might wipe out the valley in the hills from smoke for a few days. But, you know, we're just gonna have to live with it on bringing out all that up because It's no time to be traveling in the mountains. Not only is it very smoky there, but you don't want to get yourself into a situation where you're trapped. Now, if you have a clean corridor and and basically an alternative route fine, But don't go in the back rows. Now All California National Force are closed. Damn! You know what's happening in AA least The Sierras on up in the Southern Cascade's is the archery deer season. Forget it. You're not allowed to even go on trails in the national forest. You can't be on natural force roads. Public roads through the national forest are open. But that means like highway 50, or highway 80. They bisect national forests, But, uh, you get off that and you better be able to tell the difference between a public road and a national forest road. You're not allowed in there. And for good reason. Just crazy. There's no more resource is so be careful. So today we're going to, uh, kind of concentrate along the coast. Um, um And you'd be surprised at exactly how much sure is to do right now up in Eureka. Of course, this is an exaggeration. But the town seems deserted because when the albacore are within reach, everybody drops what they're doing and goes albacore fishing. I mean, the winds were like, five miles an hour. The waves were 2 ft. That's like a lake. And everybody and their brother going this 35 to 40 miles out. But they're getting fish and some people are getting more fish than others. You know, you get out there. That's a lot of boat and fish or fish. I don't hear in a river. You put a whole bunch of boats over. Fisher pushed those fish down there. Don't bite. Same thing happens 40 miles off in the ocean. If you have a couple 100 boats out there, So if you could go off by yourself on that temperature line where you're going to find those albacore yes, it's no different than anywhere else. You're going to do better. But one thing we've heard the whole year is that They seem to be a larger average size. For that reason. Ah, First of all, just the time it takes to get one in the boat, a 25 pounder. You gotta work at it. On. It does fill up the hole a little bit faster, So nobody's coming home. Too unhappy. That's for sure. So we'll get a report there. They're also going out a crescent City. They're also going out of Brookings. So that's happening and the lower Klamath will get a report there. The steelhead seemed to be gone from the lower clamor. That's not unusual. They hang around there. Until about the first week of September. Then they Ah, they head up river and we have reports a couple of good reports from steel head up River. So that's the good news there still salmon in the Lower river. But they have they the Ah, they have determined they will reach their quota this coming Monday, two days from now at 11 59 PM So Monday Will be the last day you can fish for salmon Adult salmon on the lower Calama that's from the highway 96 Bridge, which pic On the clamor for the eternity enters from that point doubts about probably 40 miles of river. Um, I will be closed as of Tuesday morning. Now you can still fish for Sam. I don't know if I go along with this and you can catch and keep Jack Salmon. I think under 23 inchers, but you must release adults famine. And put the fact that you didn't land one on your salmon report card, which you have to have two fish to clamour. I'm not sure how good a fish conservation that is, but that's the law. So anyway, we're gonna report up there. We'll get a report from Fort Bragg. Great rockfish in Lin caught up in the upper twenties, Uh, albacore, not as good as Eureka. But there's some there. We'll get a report from Andy Giuliano about the salmon outside the Golden Gate, which has tapered off too. From what? I can determine. Lesson a fish Barad. There's a lot of fish coming into up the river will be talking about that as well. You know, When you talk about fish being caught from I'll turn the Sacramento They are being called from mild in the sacrament, but it's not wide open fishing. It's not even good fishing. You've got to put in a lot of time and hope. You run into fish moving up the river Now they're not gonna hang around too much because the water still warm. But these reduced temperatures are really, really going to help. I mean, really going to help? So like everything. Salmon fishing is never wide open unless you happen to get into a middle of a huge school when the water is cooler than get wide open. But not now, Um, you might be a good Fishman. You might get lucky. Some luck is involved. Anyway. It's worth going and we'll get reports all the way up the river from wood Woodson Bridge and even up in the canyon, uh, between red bluff and reading. Uh, there's fish around, although it's a disappointing season of there so far, so I would check with Rob Reimers, who's fishing The Feather River Rouge says. I mean, he said, I've never seen so many salmon roll in that river, and sometimes they bite. Sometimes they don't we'll talk about that. Um Clyde wants the old timer would join us. It's 6 30 has been out striper fishing. Doing okay? Not great days lately, but still okay will find out where we'll get another report from Chris Lawrence and over Bodega Bay but also from the Delta. Out of his harbor. Lawrence's yacht Harbor £20. Striper was taken in Montezuma's flew trolling so some big fissure around. We'll get Kelly about a great great trip. When you hear about this. You want to do it, and it involves fly fishing, either the lower Yuba River below angle bright down for wild rainbows. Or over on the Sacramento River up in the Chico area for stripers. Now, this is life fishing, but it's really an interesting interview, especially the way they're catching him. It's not brain surgery, and you don't have to be an accomplished fly fisherman that do a lot of us. It sure is fun to catch him. That way. We'll get a report for the American member. There's a few Half pounders in there and a few small adults as well. And it seems, you know, it's hard to say what's normal anymore, But it seems to me that there's a fair number of fish spread throughout the river where You know being it's so accessible just so many of us We could just go out for an hour or two in the morning or evening. Why not? You've got a good chance of catching some fish. We will get a report from, uh Evans past sporting goods in Arnold about that general area, most of which is closed. But we'll just tell you exactly what is closed. What was happening there before they closed it and the anticipated reopening date which you shouldn't put too much stock in For now, we will get a report from up river on Crowley like I mean, not really. But ah, the upper Sacramento for Salmon. If we have time will give you a little report on Crowley Lake Trout fishing. Um, because that's been.

"The time of the virus and everything is temporary because the trump administration and Congress and the important agencies were working the virus are all changing their minds as we get better information however immigration is a long standing challenge for policy in the United States and it will continue long beyond the virus even if their master glove to twenty twenty two I welcome Dan Griswold of the Mercator's center who has written extensively and we've talked before about the immigration policy of the United States and re ordering it to make sense of the modern world here in the twenty first century and now we have a chance to speak of it in terms of the virus most recently Dan and his colleague Jack salmon have published a policy piece on this that they've adapted to the virus stand a very good evening to you immigration let's generally immigration we've spoken before it is a good thing with cabinets that the U. S. is a receiver of the world's genius everybody with ambition wants to come to the United States however now that we're in the midst of the virus there are these competing quotes from members of Congress who gained attention I understand for example camel Harris of California often mentioned as a vice presidential candidate for Joe Biden has responded to the president's recommendation of temporary hold of immigration saying that the president quote fail to take this crisis seriously from day one and that the president shamelessly politicizing this pandemic to double down on his anti immigrant agenda and quote Stacey Abrams of Georgia another person mentioned four of possible vice presidency with Joe Biden says once again rather than rise to the moment the president uses shameful anti immigrant rhetoric as he faces reelection sadly for America has failed on leadership testing and confidence xenophobia will not undo its failures and will not save American lives on the other side of the car we have Ted Cruz of Texas who was a candidate in twenty sixteen competing with the president the Ted Cruz of Texas says Democrats are flabbergasted why we wouldn't want why we wouldn't want to continue bringing in new workers even though we have millions of workers here at home that we need to get back to work immediately and Tom cotton of Arkansas who is often mentioned as a possible cabinet member for the president says let's help them get back to work before we import more foreigners to compete for their meaning the American people's jobs citing twenty two million Americans who have filed for unemployment Dan let's focus on this not all workers are the same you emphasized in your policy peace especially health care workers and stem workers what about health care workers are have they been given an open door during this virus given the demands of our system good evening to your dad good evening John well we haven't shut the door to health care workers and I think the cold nineteen outbreak has brought into stark relief what great work these workers are doing and nowhere else more than New York City twenty nine percent of the doctors in the United States for foreign born one out of six nurses twenty to forty percent of the researchers and medical areas looking for cures for the virus vaccines or treatments are foreign born scientists and stem workers and John the whole IT infrastructure that has allowed us to at least keep parts of the economy going by people working remotely the foreign born contribution to that is Justin calculable so and then on the less skilled workers you've got people are harvesting our food processing or food stocking shelves delivering supplies we depend on foreign born workers to keep our economy growing keeper healthcare system going and the cold nineteen can Democrats as Isaac shall not for everyone to see I detail about the H. one B. the famous I H. one B. visa if I read this correctly when they are when an H. one B. visa recipient health care worker is employed by a hospital they must stay at the hospital only that hospital do they have the opportunity to change jobs given that we've had some regions close hospitals because of the demand for corona virus elsewhere and to be because of the general understanding if you have anything less than a heart attack you shouldn't go to a hospital can they change jobs under the H. one B. regulations not that's one of the weak points the H. one B. visa hi the workers to one employer and one workplace and of course that's just not practical when years you've got to score five alarm fire of the pandemic could you like to move health care workers around to where they're needed most of the hot spot so that was one of the we forms that Jack and I suggested and that is that even if it's just temporary well health care workers here under the H. one B. visa to be reassigned to different hospitals all rights students what is an F. one visa what is a J. one visa and what is to be done that yeah yeah well F. one visas are your more general student visa the J. one applies in particular to two doctors and others and their we we propose loosening restrictions on that there are limits on the number of J. Jesus is aware they can practice basically you can get to the front line of the JVC if you work in rural or underserved areas well under the corona virus pretty much our whole country is underserved area or at least we don't know where those are they certainly aren't necessarily rural areas right John the hot spots and even tended to be in urban areas and we propose expanding of the rules on Jerry pieces so that healthcare workers can go where they're needed most ends are being poured into big pharma and other aspects of of stem do we have do we have emendations to the visas that will help their well we could always use more stem workers and Jack and I have written in the past about the need for more H. one B. C. uses generally for high skilled workers we need these workers were contending with Australia and Canada and Europe for these workers so we need to expand the number of the service and the IT sector has proven to be more valuable than ever that's why you're seeing the technology stocks right it's gonna maintain their value even though the overall stock market yeah beating yeah because that sector has become more important than ever and foreign born workers are integral they're the backbone of that you'd want to Silicon Valley and half of the stem workers out there our first foreign born we need them more than ever and detail here I was told anecdotally during the early stages that there were contracts out for ten thousand a week I believe for emergency nurses I see you more nurses and you could transfer jobs from one area to another that is denied emerge intensive cares nurses who come in from outside for the length of their visa if I understand you correctly they can't move that easily correctly H. one B. visa doesn't allow that that movement and another clerk in the H. one B. visa it doesn't apply to nurses with a bachelor's degree I mean there there is a needed skill let's expand out we have had a good relationship with countries like the Philippines and others that are provided a nurses to staff our our hospitals this is a good idea you could be called at nineteen I would break is a good opportunity to reexamine regulations intern you're seeing this on a broad front not just immigration arch occupational license right right other regulations let's ask ourselves are these regulations necessary I thank the cold at nineteen oh pretty good showing that that they're not necessary let's re evaluate them and I say particularly in the immigration area final details hire Americans for health care workers how does that work sh well that would work directly against our interests yeah we warn the whole hire Americans think it sounds good but that's just jingoistic where you just go into a hospital in New York down and you see higher American includes every Chinese national Filipino national great national everybody ever hard you think okay they were born here against each other what a house that's what Sloan Kettering looks like the best of the best our health care system would cease to function right we had to hire only American board health care workers we have great American born health care professionals but there's plenty of work to go around and that that you know the president's directive about suspending immigration that's based on a couple of false assumptions one that immigrants pose some sort of health standard health challenge they don't but secondly that they compete directly for Americans for jobs nobody don't we work alongside immigrants in the healthcare sector well it is proof that Dan Griswold senior research fellow at the Mercatus center at George Mason University co director of trade and immigration project any.

"And I'm Janet. Hi Janet How's it going. Good how are you. I'm good. I'm excited to talk to you about this movie you. I'm very excited. Talk about the lovely bone. Yes but actually before we do. We want want to address a listener. Email that we meant to do during last episode and then didn't get a chance to so sally our friend who recommended the ballot of Buster scruggs to us. She emailed back after listening to the episode. Yes she did and I think we had talked about this when when we recorded busters squad cleaver curious as to why she would have recommended this film to us so she had felt that it was going to be a challenging Ellen ging film to recast because of the style of the movie the way it's shot sort of inven- yet but I didn't. I didn't find that challenging. I don't know did you not necessarily I think the most challenging part of it is that it added a step in that we said which vignettes are we gonNA recast. But that's that's it. Yeah what I found challenging was watching. The movie apologized for that. Go and thank you. I hope it doesn't discourage you from sending US picks further on agreed sally. If you have any more recommendations foundation's please throw the MARAE for sure. Yeah Okay and now moving onto the lovely bones. So this one was Janet's pack and I would love for you to tell me why well I have told you this story times clearly. Well you have forgotten podcast. I needed to tell the listeners. Who So this movie originally was on my radar because Ryan thank God? Sling had been tied to this movie. That's why the movie even entered my orbit of interest. Originally He. He was tapped to play Jack. Salmon the died and basically pe- people want like the whole story. They really should just google it. Because it's all out there on the Internet but basically what happened was and Ryan Gosling has admitted did that. He was fired. He showed up to set for the movie and he was literally fired from the film by Peter. Jackson like take a few days before they were going to start production on the movie because he was too fat he gained Ryan Gosling felt his sort of perception. Was that the character of Jack Salmon. Should we like two hundred and ten pounds. He should be like a bigger man and Peter. Jackson did not agree with us so apparently Peter Jackson fired him. That's sort of the legend agent and Ryan. Gosling has actually come out and said that. That's what happened. How much of that is true or not again like who knows right? That's the back story to it and that was why I was sort of interested in seeing the movie and also recasting it because I had a feeling that Mark Mark Wahlberg was probably not a great choice for Jack Salmon and I was right I have to say I agree. What's interesting is that while L.? Looking up facts and articles and whatnot about this movie. There's conflicting stories on the Ryan Gosling situation because one of the things I read is stat. He didn't fully say he backed out but it did say that he felt he was too young and he didn't really want to do it. There was one particular. Take your story from the Hollywood reporter that actually it was a round table discussion that they did with Actors Ryan Gosling actually gave them that story that I just said what happened by the way I think he was too young. He was twenty six at the time. So that is pretty young to have a fourteen eighteen year old daughter. Yeah I think he was probably not a good choice either. I love the. He thought he had to weigh two two hundred two hundred ten pounds. Like I don't know why like I just think that's so funny but who knows. Maybe he thought that would make him look older. Perhaps you yeah okay. So what was the box office for this movie. The the budget for the movie was sixty five million which probably sounds like a lot and I think if you've actually seen in this movie you'll understand why that number is so high because there seems to be a lot of CGI and whatnot and that's all expensive right. The the box office was ninety. Three million so I mean it did okay but I don't know that that's necessarily a success on sixty five million budget. Yeah I don't think so because one of the numbers that I saw was on top of the sixty five million there was another eighty five million put into promotion emotion. which is I don't know what a typical promotional budget is? But that's huge and I don't know that it. Yeah well I mean it. Was You know it was critically I think. People were divided I read mixed reviews but it did Garner a best supporting actor nomination for Stanley Tucci diameter. Yeah can you believe that. That's Stanley. Jeez only only Oscar nomination. I don't know who said this but I read that someone said that if you were a fan of of the book that you probably shouldn't watch the movie right but that's often. The case was book adopt -Tations Rain. But I don't know there are parts of the movie that I think are still in the book and things that I did have problems with. "Welcome back I didn't talk to him but I know is up at the yes salmon festival in war ville don pagan Ellie and he is on the phone with us now good morning. good morning Bob. and thank you once again for entertaining everybody last week. well I it was a lot of fun all right I do appreciate that the chance to do something like that ever. I listen to you from the side of a mountain of by bodhi believe it or not and you guys you guys ended up having a lot of fun you were very informative you got it done it was it was good I liked it. I'm glad I was glad it worked out and nine toward the end area it if that. I mean between now and I we talked quite a bit with when it comes to faith why they call it a talk show them as well hello doctor but anyway thank you so much you guys that was really great I appreciate what what's going on up in in Orville now. well this is their annual salmon festival of fear hatchery is is full of salmon most of them are actually their spring run there appear you can watch him stripping the aches and doing a fertilization all the rest of that you can see the whole process and looking in a lot of their holding tanks over here you can see a lot of these they're all most of our tagged fish those in the spring run and there's a lot of them and their system huge salmon that are coming up the ladder so that's always a lot of fun to see yeah today most people don't get a chance to physically see these fish in the wild coming in so yeah it's it's pretty cool we've got better mobile fish exhibit up here which has a sampling of everything out of the river they could get for me. when we got one Jack salmon and now we've got one steel head pretty nice deal yeah and lot of stripers different sizes most of them only about twelve to thirteen inches and we've got one in there that's about four five pounds with that see catfish we got some bluegill. and once crawfish but this is kind of a sampling of the river itself and it kind of gives people an idea you know if you're out there fishing a river this is actually what you can catch out there time would be surprised you know that they don't really realize how diverse the system is and how many different Fisher actually in there yeah yeah you know the the feather river has always been like that and the American to an extent but not so much with the warm water fish but it's a problem with the feather is hard to access a lot of the places where you catch these for. right and I and I really haven't had a chance to do a lot of investigating up on the feather really fishing a lot because like you said a lot of it is both access and you almost have to have a jet boat or some something like that they'll run a little shallow it could have been to some of these areas at least three feel comfortable anyway run in the river or drift boat I know a lot of guys use drift boats appearance here and work the area too so I mean it's but you know I know the salmon fishing has been pretty good so far on the feather their hearing judging by all the salmon I see here in the in the hatchery it looks like it it's been a pretty good year so far and I know that one of the hatchery days yesterday was tell me there I don't know. I know you said something in a three thousand over three thousand Rangers spring run that they've had so far they've been. the hatchery so. that sounds pretty good to me yeah I know there's a lot more but that that's just what they have to their accounts so far that they've been working with yeah sometimes we'll have to sit down you just reminded me because there's a lot of confusion on spring run Sammons fall run salmon late fall run salmon winter runs salmon and you know when do they all spawn and when do they come up and you know like their spring run salmon responding right now the fall runs salmon spawn almost directly after them so yeah but but there's a definite separation there. yeah and you see it I think more here on this rather than you do the American American you don't really here and talk much about a spring run as much as you do the fall run because that's what everybody thinks about yeah when I think the American river but Jeez I mean the one guy with a look at some of the spring run in as early as February and March they're here there are currently here so I mean it's it's pretty amazing when you think about it how long they've actually been in the system courses there's a reason for all that too because you know the evolution of these fish. happened before all the downs and the spring run for the reason it's important to keep it generically the spring run fish obviously had a lot more water than they could get way up high in the system the fall Rountree couldn't get nearly as high and so they spawn down below and so we kept the genetics separate and now they're all kind of do it together as hard to do that so. yes it's that the tagging program helped him out with that a lot I mean they get to separate this spring run okay I'll look at the is is it free up there is an open the up at the hatchery in or what is it free. I think so I'm not a hundred percent sure if there is a cost I'm sure it's not very much last year I worked this thing for the first time and man it was hundreds of people coming through yeah and you wouldn't think I mean it's not a real big area the hatchery wise anyway where they come in but they've got stuff going on over Dave got venues in the parking lot area they've got venues along the fish ladder they've got vendors inside the hatchery here plus you can do the tourists or the walking tour yourself or you walk through when you look through the window and actually watch him working with the salmon down or whether taking aches and separating the spring run out from the main line you'll see him throw him off to the side so that they come back out to the river or to go back out to the holding pen so it's pretty interesting if you've never seen anything like that. it's going to be going on all day today don all day today it's overcast it's a little chilly but it's fall and so we don't never know what to expect so that's kind of like the conditions to make more fish come up that tree why I think so the latter yeah gonna it's going to trigger a lot of stuff going on with this weather. okay so and that is so it's not only just fun to look out for everybody but it's got to be very educational the whole the whole deal. yeah and they've got done they're going to have some animals that fear. desert my plan is there a charge for that it's free I just found out it's free okay good deal so good deal venues free and I like to have some mild I think you're gonna have a bobcat and what else that we're here to talk about these wild animals are going to have. in real life I thought the cages but didn't really put you and your. so yeah they're gonna have some pretty interesting things here that I'm sure the kids will really get a kick out of an and the grown ups. this is all very interesting coming from a buyer's fishermen. well yeah you know me I'm a little bit more diverse like ever. okay done Hey thank you so much for informing if this sounds like a great a great all around time up there thank you. thanks Bob will talk to you soon bye bye. non pagan L. A. up there. he he he does a lot of things in the educational in other fishing in the city the whole works so anyway after the break we gonna talk to John point Meru about Aspin's word to see them what makes.

"Cave outdoor show. I'm Bob SIMS. Thank you for tuning in this morning. Well, there's good news, hopefully that the wind will be stopping. The wind has blown since last Sunday in the high country, I know it's also been blowing in parts of the ocean really hampering fishing, but there's no shortage of fish. We know that. And now we've got fish from San Francisco will from below San Francisco salmon we're talking about clear up new Eureka area. And, you know the what's been hampering the fishermen up north since their season, open and may has been the wind. You know, these sustained periods of this north northwest win, which is very, very healthy for the sea because it creates this upwelling that kind of basically, spreads the nutrients and makes a very healthy ocean of things. However, the downside is the boats have trouble getting from one point to another you go up there during a heavy north win. And you don't wanna head south because that means you have to come back north and it is brutal. So with that being said, when the boats, do get out, there's been some very, very nice catches, Eric cited about their season in the Klamath basin. We really haven't talked about this much year because of that wind, but we will be a lot more now because things are cooking. And also when because of this upwelling it just seems to, I don't know what it is. Really put a bug in Iraq vision. The Lincoln, they really go on the bite. So when the boats consult in without the wind fishing for both those species, or the rock fish and Lincoln is really good too up there a little different not like San Francisco, Marin and. Sonoma's county, coz words, all rocks of their they have vast areas of beaches. You don't find rock fish there. So the books after travel, little bit depending on what you're going out. Plus, on top of the good ocean salmon fishing, Monday, July. First. The climate river opens so they have a the fish and game commission just completed their decision on the season in limits. I think yesterday or the day before. Anyway, what they're gonna do. Everybody up there wanted an extended season got quite a good quota this year. But they didn't want it just to be wiped out in a couple of holiday weekend. So everybody there wants to limit to be one adult salmon, and one Jack salmon. There's nothing wrong with that. I mean, that's a lot of eating right there. Okay. And plus, if you stick around for a few days, you can keep your possession limit will be three adults and three Jack. So that's so we'll see what happens. Another thing. That happens July first is the very controversial no lead in California as of Monday. You're not allowed to hunt anything. I don't care if it's non-protected species. You're not allowed to use any bullets with Lebanon. Or I think it's like less less than one percent. Let something like that. But you know what I mean, basically, it's lead-free free. And then this fee Lasko that happened this week with the governor Justice department. Well, we'll talk about that later but that just leaves all the law abiding citizens in California in a state of confusion, because the people that run the state don't know what's going on. Even though I mean, I think Newsom what he does every time he opens his mouth. He thinks whatever he says is law. It doesn't work that way. So anyway, maybe they'll get it worked out. I have my doubts if you'll recall Newsom sodas of July, you'll need this license to purchase ammunition. In addition to your background checks, and the Justice department came out right after and said, no, you don't and they, they declined to name, the Justice department spokesman now there is a governor. -ment that has got its hands tightly clasped around its backside. Well, if they find out I disagreed with the governor, he'll see that I'm fired. I mean that's stuff. Goes on everyday. Anyway. So as of now, I guess, you don't need a license. But don't don't count on me. Who knows that this point? Anyway. So that's what's going on. What's going on fishing? I took a trip over the east side through Markley Ville checked out Mark levino creek, the east fork of the Carson, the west fork of the Carson, I went over monitor pass into the west Walker drainage that I went over up to twin late down to Bridgeport, reservoir down below Bridgeport, to the east fork of the Walker river. And checking all those waters backup. First of all, I gotta tell you, it is beautiful on the east side. Everything is green nothing has dried out yet. The all the metals. You find are just lush this deep green is beautiful. We're snow on the mountaintops. It's just a just invigorating to be over there. The water's are high, but they are dropping and we have good news for all the people that plan to trout fish over there over the fourth, because there's going to be trout and all those strange. So we'll get into that as the program goes on. Anyway, up at lakes like, stampede, lots and lots of cooking up there. But you gotta really we'd to small ones to get the fourteen inches or bigger. It's tough to do fish awhile up does not manage that as a fishing lake. They manage it as a brood stock, as like a hatchery to the department official wildlife, so that's why you don't get the bigger fish there. But coconut fishing down at new us little different story. Just don't go out in automatic catch thirty or forty fish. You may have to work for, but you can get limits of beautiful fish up into the seventeen inch read on now. You're, you're talking. Good coconut. Okay. Also at bullard's bar will get a report from rob Reiner's. He was up there this week and limit fishing is the rule there. Now, these fish aren't as big, but they're still in great shape up around thirteen inches. We'll see what, what the bigger fish were when we talked to rob just after six o'clock Davis lake Davis, leg is really kicking out some nice, nice rainbows, and elast week, Frenchmen's reservoir Frenchman's is like, not that far away from Davis. But it looks like it should be Nevada. That's, that's how different the terrain is, but Frenchman's was really kicking out some beautiful, beautiful fish Davis is, is off to a good start this year. And we'll get reports on both of those places up to crystal basin. The is house and union valley and even loon leg will get reports there, even reports on sly park, reservoir, trout fishing, it can be pretty good now in lakes, like ice house, and sly park. You gotta get there before the, the crowds. Okay. You've gotta get there before. Four it's just pushed the fish down. You know that does that everywhere. But there could be pretty nice fishing those legs. And I talked to Kyle Nisar crystal base, and tackle and tell you exactly what he's doing to get the fish eagle. Lick eagle lake is it's off to a pretty good start to usually by this time of year. The water is warm, you have to fish deep but they're still fish right on the surface early in the morning. And during the day, you rarely have to go any deeper than fifteen feet, and there's some really nice fish being caught up at eagle lake this you're, you know, you don't hear of many four pounders early in the season at eagle, but I have this year, not every time out by most of the Fisher two and a half to three pounds. That's a nice nice average. But then you get these fish are up three and a half and occasionally four Pounder. Those are due to what's out of eagle lake. They will set you free. As they say, okay, we'll give you a very interesting take on the sly park campground, and how they run that different than any campground I've ever seen before. But as I said, rob Reiner's would join us Andy Juliano's join us in about fifteen minutes, bringing us up to speed on the ocean and the bay area and Alabama which is just going. I'm just crazy. It's just one of the best seasons ever. And then, of course Scotland Seth CLYDE ones found some stripers in the delta. He said, he would and he did Don pag. Anneli is gonna join us at seven fifteen. There is a fishing in the city program today and Gary, coz, going to join us just after seven o'clock talking about the upcoming derby, and also the number of coconut and king salmon that. Department of fishing wildlife has put into various lakes this year. So you'll know what to expect for the future. Now it is a little confusing Kasese fish were actually hatched in the fall. And by the time they caught him in February, they're considered one year old so. It's hard to keep track one of these fish well, when they're three years old, they're going to be available to be a. Well, what does that mean? Really does that mean two years old anyway? We'll try to straighten all that out where so all that. And more coming up on the cave Piquet outdoor show in the next two hours and Forty-five minutes, thanks for being here. Trust Christine, and I've been doing this for a while. Sam Shane news. We have a pretty good idea of what you're looking for..

"You. That's what it says. That is at governor homes desk, and we assume will get signed. There's also abolishing the fever gun licences except for lifetime licenses. Which I'm I think was a great I and it carves out. As Berman writes, it exception to Indiana's gun-free school, according to Indianapolis state, Senator Jack salmon that law wrongly bands houses of worship which operate schools from allowing guns. Elsewhere on the property the Bill would allow guns in the religious place of worship right church sin. God what have you unless the church ops to ban them? This is the everything couldn't be more. Happy about this decision. We've often said you should be carrying a firearm. Jew carrying a firearm in your synagogue carrying firearm in your church, and if you have a pastor a rabbi who says, you shouldn't be carrying a firearm. Mass jest a new synagogue or church because that is a rabbi or a pastor or a faith leader, whatever you wanna call them who's unserious about you going home alive. Yes. Yes, they're unserious. You should be prepared to defend yourselves in the one you love when you're a soft target and synagogue on Friday night and church on Sunday are soft targets, very happy. With what the general simply is doing here. It is a good move. And of course, we're keeping up with what's going on in Delphi. You can go to WIBC dot com. There's a new sketch. There is new audio of the murder suspect. There is a new video that is all WIBC dot com. Also the tip line eight four four four five nine five seven eight six eight four four four five nine five seven eight six. That's the number you call if you have a tip if you know something because please have described as changing the tactics of the investigation. Changing the focus of the investigation. Right. So and in this year, they're quotes from the superintendent Doug Carter in the state police saying that the person is from Delphi currently has previously lived here and visits Delphi on a regular basis or works here. So putting out some more information trying to to, you know, get someone to make a mistake. Someone say something they already, you know, they wanna see if someone changes a pattern after this new information. I'm not sure what's up. But this is how they're going about it. My faith is in the Indiana state police in conducting this investigation only hope that this change leads to the proper arrest and conviction. Of whoever did this to these two girls. I hope we find out sooner rather than later for sure. Much more to get to the popcorn moment. Pete buddha. Judge on Bates might be the most incredible audio. I have played all year. This might be the top popcorn moments of the year. Thus far that's coming up every morning..
