"Pros do. Right now, if I were to cast a vote Even though Every part of me wants to say Patrick Mahomes. If I had a vote for M v p, I would give it to Aaron Rodgers because he would deserve it as number three. Number two number two came from you. Number two came from Jake, who called into our hot take segment earlier this week and gave me one That was absolutely blistering cleaning. This take will keep you warm for the entire winter. This year, Carson went has been the stick. Asked quarterback in his own division. Jack Prescott, Daniel Jones, Alex Smith, Andy Dalton and Jalen hurts. I've got him one spot ahead of pulp McCoy. So he actually just said fifth. But what he should have said, is that he's not a top five quarterback in his own division because he named five names. So he's softened it in the cell, Jake. It's the cell that is the key to the take. But the reality is Daniel Jones, Alex Smith, Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts, and Andy Dalton, in No particular order have all been better quarterbacks this year. That's five, so he's not top five. Colt McCoy bending Nucci. Dwayne Haskins, not putting any of them ahead of him. So that is the take Jake and it's well done, and it leads me to the last one. Number one number one is this. I've been talking to Dan Orlovsky a lot about this. Do not believe Carson, Wentz and Jalen Hurts, can both be Eagles next.

"Wouldn't say Baker Mayfield, a star, and I wouldn't say that kind of Murray's there yet. He shows some promise but there, but I think Tyler's a franchise quarterback. You out? Yeah, I agree. I think the bigger problem, though, is Jeff Laurie is that we got to get to We got to get this the whole the whole organization on the same page, right? Because you know Jeff Laurie wants this West Coast offense, high powered I don't think Harry Roseman is drafting that. And I don't think Peterson is calling the plays like that. So I think I think this is just I think everybody's going in a different direction with the Eagles. Unfortunately, that that does seem like it's you know, not everyone's pulling the same way. So, Gary what? You're got poor picked by how we are franchise quarterback. What's your gut telling you? My God is saying, Man, this is tough one I might like that's gonna say just cause I like Carson. I think he's a nice guy, So I'm painted that way, But I would say poor pick But we'll find out tomorrow. Sunday. Yeah, we'll start to Gary Appreciate a phone call you I mean, Look, it's not. It's not one game one game doesn't make a quarterback one game this and break a quarterback. We've seen quarterbacks coming off the pension play. Well, we send rookie struggle. I mean, look at Jared Goff. He's free cake. Jericho's first year in the NFL. There was reason to think he couldn't play in the league and all he's done since I believe since Since 2017 jerk off one of the most wins now in the NFL. He's up there with Tom Brady like, he said. In him, he's had a good career. He's a good quarterback, and at first he didn't look any good. So Sunday's the first chapter in all this, and we get to start getting a feel for what Joanne Hertz says I'm not going to write him off or anoint him next week. You know, for the next 10 years, if if he plays well, verse if he doesn't my guts telling me though, this kid's going to be a player in the NFL There's a lot of qualities here. I like about him and I keep going back to The Eagles don't do this often, like when the Eagles jump in on a quarterback he can play. It's it's happened over and over on the few times they've done it in 20 years. There's something to that. And then I factor in the jail in hurt story, the leadership ability I feel like they got Jack Prescott to point out here to 1559 to 94 94 that it's a hop in. Let's talk to Tom Middleton. What's up, Tom? Joe, How are you, buddy? Good time. What's up tonight? Listen, I'm feeling very good about Jalen hurts and his ability to step into the NFL. I mean, this kid's coming from like a pedigree of Division one football. That you know that he should be ready. I mean, this isn't a pick that we took your division to food. You know, maybe has the shots through some quinces of whatever he's coming from a very high, long pathetically of vision. One football, So I think he has a in the NFL. We'll see how we handle them. No. What I wanted to call that and and mentioned was at the end of the green baking. When it when when the players were meat. Downside. I mean, not on the field. Aaron Rodgers pulled over Jalen hurts and had like a nice couple minute conversation with him. And then also went over and talked to caution privately and had a conversation I would love didn't know what those conversations were about, because Rogers has been on both sides of those balls. He was drafted. He had to step in and take over a whole famous shoes. Location. He waited on the sidelines week in his time. Okay? And then also Green Bay turned around addressed to quarterback this year and what's he doing? He's putting up in every day here. It's a good time. It's a It's a great point. You're bringing up. I saw that time I did. Aaron Rodgers was on the Pat McAfee show this week. He does like a weekly spot with with McAfee and I, I, He was asked about what he said to you went. I don't think he was asked what he said to her. It's but he was asked, and he said he wanted to keep it private. But you know that you know when says talent, and he's gonna be a hell bounce back from this. I think obviously was trying to encourage him. But it's a good point. I'd love to know what he said to those guys. I loved it, but he's been on both sides. Yeah, Tom. It's a great point. Appreciate 21559 to 94 94. That's how you hop in here as we discussed Joanne Hertz as he gets set for his first start as Eagles quarterback on Sunday. I'm excited and here's my guts telling me My gut is telling me one of the most controversial picks in Eagle sister is going to turn out to be a really, really good when I believe Joanne Hertz is going to be a franchise quarterback in the NFL. The skill set his drive to get better, which I think is significant and will play a significant role him improving and kind of covering up the deficiencies he has. It's all there. And the fact this kid's already a leader Doug Peterson, a first Friday press conference before a game with him. Says he's a leader will come back your focus to 1559 to 94 94. What you got saying is Jalen hurts A mistake by Howie Roseman or a franchise quarterback. This is like before watching him play. What's the gut telling you? On this football. Freddie will come back Bio. Sanders talked about Joanne Hertz and what he's been showing the team this week. You hear from that next on sports radio 94 wook. Go Birds radio, the only you'll spot cast that matters with James Salter and Elliot Shore parts. I'd like to think that.

"Look at the Cowboys is a team that's any threat to do any damage this year. Even if they had Jack Prescott. I say the same thing. I don't think Mike McCarthy gets thie by starting quarterback by franchise quarterback got injured Mulligan. Here's Mike in Wisconsin on CBS Sports Radio Mike Payment. I agree with you, man. I'll give him eight games or given half a season. Prince. Boy, I can't believe they shouldn't have kept on Tio. The other quarterback coat so long will they kept get? They kept Garrett. I mean, Jason Garrett would win just enough to keep his job. He just That's For the longest time, you know he was in he was a yes, man. Yes, sir. He was that the type of coach that Jerry Jones Love's not build. Not Bill Parcells, where it's a big ego when it's a guy like Jimmie Johnson. That's one somewhere else whose one Super Bowls and wants to do it his way. He had a coach that was probably submissive and was back down from Jerry Jones and Jones could manipulate him. Control him. Tell him what to do. And they won enough. He's gotta win it. He had a running winning record. Yes, Cowboy's head coach. They went to the playoffs. They didn't win anything in the playoffs. That last year when Philadelphia the walking wounded They beat you in weeks, 16 and keep you out of the postseason and know you had a Mari Cooper. Zeke Elliott and deck Prescott and they had Boston Scott and Greg Ward at wide receiver in that game. And you can't get one yard late in the game to win it like that was the death knell for Jason Garrett. He was given more time than he deserved and So just because that Jerry Jones was patient with one coach doesn't mean he has to do the same thing with Mike McCarthy. Jason Garrett had been in the Cowboys organization for like his whole life, like McCarthy has been in Green Bay, and before that he was in San Francisco and He's got no allegiance toe Jerry Jones and vice versa. Major Phillip, only CBS Sports radio, You know the other. The other game. That I have. I have something I want. I want to Just make sure I say this before. The show is over, because I got some tweets on it from listeners. Asking me about the bears, and whether or not I think that they're a legitimate team. It's amazing how history repeats itself. Every time the Bears are good, it's the same story like I'm not old enough to remember 85. I wasn't born then, you know, so I'm just going off of my lifetime of watching professional football, which now spans three decades. The Bears have when they're good. It's always the same thing. It's It's insane to me that Coaches changed. General managers change. Players changed, but it's always the same story for the Bears. Whenever they're good. The quarterback is an issue. That they're playing well, in spite of the guy that's under center and it it It always happens with him. They're five and one right now. No one takes them seriously. Because Nick Foles Has only been good in one place he fit in Philadelphia. He had an incredible season there with Chip Kelly. And then he comes back. He wins the Super Bowl. But outside of that in Jacksonville in ST Louis, he's been a disaster. So now he was not very good. Last week, he throws an interception. They beat Carolina because the Panthers Loud lost. The Panthers offense lost the battle against the Bears defense. They couldn't run the ball. And so they went ugly. Five and one. They're in first place, but no one really thinks that they can do any. Khun do much. I mean, it's not even like 2006 when they had An elite defense, and that defense carried Rex Grossman to the Super Bowl. But it's that it's it's still cut from that cloth. It still Kind of Ah Lakoff generic version of that team that lost to the Colts in the Super Bowl. It's really good defense. That just that does just enough offensively. To win games to win close games. That wins the turnover battle. That might get a defensive touchdown or special teams touchdown more than most teams. Place an easy schedule and gets to 10 it 10 and six or 11 5, and that's when the Bears when they've been good, and they're not consistently good. There's usually once every five years, something like this happens. Jim Miller takes into the playoffs in 2001. They're good. Jay Cutler in 2010. They get to the NFC championship game. Bob. Mr frisky two years ago. No one took them seriously. That's the Cody Parkey off the upright game. I think Chicago I look at their schedule. I see. Probably 10 wins there now. I think they're good enough to.

Why Dallas Cowboys' Andy Dalton will seamlessly replace Dak Prescott, for now

"To win all this great stuff courtesy of Miller Lite the only beer of the Dallas Cowboys. We're please rejoin on Cowboys Beats by Mark Schofield to touch down wire part of USA Today and Thursday. Let's start with Mark you specialize in evaluating the quarterback position. So let's start with Andy Dalton and give me your 2020 evaluation of Andy Dalton. Where is he off quarterback hierarchy and how much of a drop-off is between he and Dak Prescott. Well, I'm sure you guys I won't even give you the choice. I'll do the good news first the good news here for Cowboys packages that he still might like now, I'll be the best quarterback in the NFC East partly a reflection on how everybody else is played because Washington quarterback situation is a mess Django Jones doesn't seem to be quite have put it together yet and caution. Once while a good quarterback has struggled this year. I mean I've struggled around him Lane Johnson has hurt historically once has struggled without land Johnson in a life. And so almost by default you can make the argument that and you talked to might be the best quarterback in the division. Not a flip side of that is it's a bad division, which might mean that Andy Dalton could still get you to the playoffs and get you a dog. You titled ready in 30 is a drop-off Jack Prescott. I think that's an acceptable fact. You don't think anybody will push back on where Eddie Dalton is right now is he's a quarterback that he can still run most probably eighty-five to ninety percent of your offense with you. Just let it go enough that some of your plays that you have in there for Dad, press God to take advantage of his athleticism may have to check out of the Playbook there might be some more quarterback designs ones that you probably don't want to use just because now if you lose any. And you're really in trouble so you probably don't watch them too much dance you the vertical passing game you saw that on the throat of Gallup at the end of the game when you needed a play that was a tremendous reading program and adult and they showed him to High coverage. They spotted two age Hai. He saw the signal coverage of Galilee through a great deep-ball so you could still run the bulk of your Elf and she had made so it's not a full-on panic situation. I think if you're doubtless because of all of the song How did circumstances regarding this division right now? You can still run your offense and Main competitor with

"He has just set the standards so high, but unless it's like 350 yards, four touchdowns, zero picks People are gonna talk about how poorly he's playing. Or that he can't throw the ball, Damien Nice, deep throw 41 yard touchdown pass to Jared Cook, And even if he doesn't have a strong right arm anymore, who cares? Just show me the numbers show what he does. So how many points his team as how efficient they are. It's the defense. I think that still needs to get cleaned up in New Orleans. Ross Tucker is joining us from asking. This is a former player. You understand the nature of that business. You understand that as a player, what you sign up for in the inherent risk involved. You kind of steel yourself to that because you're in it, so you know, but as a former player, I'm curious. What kind of emotions did you have when you saw it? Jack Prescott get injured the way he did. You know, it's funny that you say that Jim two things I'll mention about that right? Number one is, you know, I don't know if it's just with every year I get older or because I have Kids now or whatever. But I'm still only 41. But I would say with every year I get older. Serious injuries and seeing guys suffer serious injuries. Bothers me a little bit more. I don't know if that's every old guy listening or everybody listening out there that as you get a year older, but it just wouldn't even watching college football and there's an injury just Bothers me a little bit more than it did the year before And the year before that. That's number one number two. I don't usually get emotional. I still don't He still doesn't affect me that much. But when I saw deck And I thought CBS did a terrific job, you know, really showcasing the emotion. You know, Nansen and Romeo laid out you could just see what was going through Dad's mind. I felt that one man, I'm not gonna lie. I felt that one and I said, I probably told you this before. You know, when you're a player. I never prayed before a game to win or to play well. I just, You know when you go inside those white lines That something devastating can happen to you. And I guess that's It's like that other sports but not really right. We're talking percentage chance. There's some percentage chance every time you play in a football game. You suffer an injury that can and will Affect the rest of your life. When you're talking to a guy that you had a back surgery, and then my career ended with a herniated disc in my neck, which bruised my spinal cord. So you and by the way, it could have been worse. It could have been worse than just bruising my spinal cord. So you're very aware of that every time you take the field, and that's really more anything else. Every time I play it, right. We wanted more than anything else was all 106 guys. Nobody have that happened. Nobody suffer injury playing this game. In your twenties or early thirties that affects the rest of your life. Hopefully, that's not the case with Dak. Hopefully, he'll come back and be the same guy. But, yeah, that was that was pretty emotional man. I appreciate that response. Ross Tucker is joining us. He's appearing courtesy today of my front page story really quickly. I want your thoughts on the Browns if you don't mind their foreign one heading into Sunday's big game against Pittsburgh, but But how did Baker Mayfield look to you after his injury against the courts? Well, I'm loving the Browns right now. I've been I've been back in them the last couple weeks on the even money podcast. They've been very, very good to me. But I'm a little bit nervous this week, even though they're getting the points from the Steelers nervous because of what I saw from Baker at the end of that game. First of all, you know, Greg Cosell told me today. That on the Ross Tucker podcast that he doesn't think Baker's playing that well, But that's not even my point..

"Of first round draft pick CD Lam, the Dallas Cowboys often struggle to score points on their opening that loss to the Rams. The offense mirrored a lot of what Jason Garrett had in Dallas and despite Mike McCarthy, bypassing the option to kick the game time field goal. Then, he said, opted to go for it on fourth down deep in the Rams territory In the fourth quarter, the cabal's offenses labeled as the same, it was back in 2019 overreacting or under reacting to the Cowboys being the same offense on the same team. They were in 2019 as they are right now. That's a great point by the people wondering it, I wanted it myself. You don't have any practice time. You kind of go back to what you were used to before. And maybe Mike McCarthy's doing that, but I think he'll put in his own mix. I think it's an overreaction. They were in 88 500 football team. They need to play better total football. And so I think that it's going to be a lot of what Jack Prescott has done cause Dak Prescott was good. He was good. He's been good. He is not a bad quarterback. I know because he hasn't signed a contract and people get mad because I don't know. I don't think Jack Prescott. I don't think that Prescott agent thinks he's better than Patrick Holmes. This is a game, but people get mad. He fixes better than patrimony is a professional quarterback. He should think he's the best in the world. I don't fault him for that. I don't think there should be hubris that kills your or your ego should be killing you. But you should think you're really, really good quarterback. I don't blame him for that. But as that offense starts to unclip and starts on one, you'll see a little bit more. I have faith. That deck is a really good franchise Quarterback. I have faith that Mike McCarthy can get that thing in the right direction. I think it's a weak one over reaction. Is that it? We have one more if you want,.

"And praise. We place this football halo. Of all, Patrick Mahomes said, just to remind you that that makes sense with one time the guys lost in the post season, the one time he lost in overtime to the greatest quarterback in the history of the game. Against the Patriots team that won a coin flip and therefore one of football's a result. That's the one time Holmes is lost. Jack Prescott want one and two in the playoffs. Underwhelming. Just a guy, one guy patch of the home's part of incredible culture and has bought into it. The other guy deck. Prescott is part of one of the biggest messes in sports. One of those guys lives up to the hype. The other guy can think about the weapons had been put around, Dak Prescott. I understand again. My buddy's a great example. You probably have a friend to settle, too. But this notion that deck President's gonna be a star. These prognosticators who tell you the Cowboys have to do it because he's going to be great. No, that's not right. Cowboys have to do because they have no other choice. The money. They had to spend it on Mark Cooper to bring out the best in Jack Prescott the money they have to spend his equally to make sure that it works. Patrick Holmes is a guy. Who lost in 2017. Doesn't that feel like 20 years ago? By the way? Doesn't that feel like a 1,000,000 years ago when Mom's birthday of the scene? Karim what was considered Maybe the most dangerous weapon in the National Football League. And there were people look again, and I was probably one of them. Who said Mom's great one of what a great young guy in his first year starting, but he's got cream on Karim Hunt does something he should not do in a hotel condo in Cleveland. The chief's caught him in November. And everyone says, including me. Oh, man, that is a challenge for the chief of anything to dio. That might be that might be the chief's chances. What is my home's going to Dio when he doesn't have cream hunt to bail him out? In the back field. He's going to run to a Super Bowl, lose a coin flip not won the Super Bowl as a result. For one. Without Tyree, Kill a couple years later when Tommy Kill gets injured. Mahomes wins, regardless of the weapons. He allows the Chiefs and you're gonna see more than 10 years ahead to put money on the defensive side. Because Mahone look, I think I've heard he's a really good athlete. Moms could throw the ball to Adam Hawk Hawk would get paid money and get touchdowns. I'm not kidding. Even rich man is like the full back on that team. And he's getting an above market deal. Mahomes is that special talent who doesn't just do it? When given the weapons you need. He does it without them. Any of you like me that in fans for the last two years Just picked up Random Chiefs receivers. On the off chance It was gonna work. No. Them the home's Khun Turn any NFL player into a momentary start number Sandy what The chief spent so much money on Sammy Watkins, and it made sense at the time. And walk ins might be the most disappointing offensive player. Not just on that cheese team. But in the NFL the last few years, given the circumstances, and the pay doesn't matter didn't need him. Dak Prescott needs more. Cooper. Jack Prescott needs Ezekiel Elliott help. The Cowboys had a better defense in the chief's last year, The Cowboys had a better running back. Ah, better receiver. Ah, better offensive line an idiot for a coach and Eddie. It's a little strong. I just mean in the football sense. And then a better defense. Cowboys had a top 10 defense last year, guards allowed per game. The Chiefs were middle of the road. So this idea and this notion This desire to look at stats. Look at what's required and to pretend the universe's fair deck has X number of approach downs, and the Cowboys have no choice thes two things plus each other equal. This is a good deal. No, it's not. I went to my buddy's wedding, who settled True story and The night before my wife and several friends. Like some terrible episode of of friends. We had a meeting about whether or not you know that thing where they go. Does anyone here object like no one's ever? We actually mean about whether we should object. Should we just raise your hand bag? Yeah, This is not a good idea. And we're checking down. We should have. We have years now to realize that was a mistake. And my body whose name first name? I'm not going to say we'll calm Joe. Joe. I'm sorry, bro actually stopped it. It's my bad ear that you're bad, but, you know It's a similar situation with the Cowboys. Life isn't fair. My body had everything going for him. But he wasn't good with girls. And you know, most guys grew out of that He didn't The Cowboys have everything going for him. They're just not good at winning football games in the postseason. That's not going to change because they throw 75,000,045 million guaranteed. I'm not mad. At my buddy's wife. For.

No, no timeline for when he could be expected back and then we'll see about overall this Chapman as well. So the chief Saad Sonny Chris Jones, to a four year extensions. That's a key piece on defense for them locked up now for the foreseeable future, and the Browns are moving close to a mega extension with Myles Garrett said to me for five years at a max value of 125 million box you do have the deadline today, four o'clock for teams and franchise players. Ticket long term deals done, but apparently nothing cooking with Jack Prescott in the Cowboys, or for Derrick Henry and the Titans little more from Cam Newton in this YouTube roundtable discussion with Odell Beckham Jr. Todd Gurley and Victor Cruz. I am addressing his signing with the Pats. He called replacing Tom Brady the elephant in the room as far as all the teams that overlooked him this offseason. I'm looking at a schedule like how we play. That team passed on me. Okay. Dad team passed over. They could've game and got me. They did at me even asked. My age is like a yo. So what's up with Na man? There's that ship on the shoulder and he says it really turned into a waiting game for him. He ended up Counting the nights he was unemployed, and he counted 86 of them before signing on with New England. The agent act like he was like, Well, we gotta wait. It was this all type of You know, issue some, my brother. You know what? I'm going? I'm going to take this time. With the cove. It Awesome won't commit to a little self reflect Easton committed contracts and performance. How Maney Teams were really even in the market for a quarterback or for him couldn't have more than five or six teams, right. He's definitely talking about the Chargers. There's no doubt OK, The Pats Pats play the Chargers in December. Hopefully that we see that game happened. There's no doubt that that's who he's talking about. Is everybody prior to Justin Herbert, being drafted by the Chargers had Cam Newton going there for the obvious reasons. There was really nobody else of legitimacy to start for them. And on top of that, they needed some entertainment value as they were moving into a stadium where they had no fans in a particular city. That would have been the place if I were Cam Newton. I'd be telling my agent to call the Chargers, Ellen would have been perfect for him. Body ended up in New England. Shockingly other than that, we're other places that he that he could have been, I guess where the other quarterbacks ended up. Carolina. The box? Yeah, the well, Yes, but But maybe Victor Cruz and they were talking about that now I'll try to find the clip. I was watching it yesterday. Where he made revenue so and so had more injuries than me So and so is older than me When he said older you could kind of see the look on his face. I got the sense that that was a reference to the box and Brady and I'm about to put word against mouth. But that's the way Jax Jacksonville accident on the one Yes, that even the Bears, Right mean, they take acquired Nick Foles to compete with your whiskey. He could have gone in there. Well, I guess I can't be more than five or six teams. Oh, no, that's all But as you've pointed out, he is a former NFL MVP. No doubt and don't come available. I think he ended up in the perfect spot, probably as you guys mentioned in the open. Another net has Cove in 19 not the laugh. I'm sorry. Michael Beasley, whose signature hadn't even dried on the contract. Yet he was signed as a replacement player about a week ago, joins the team in Orlando. We did pass his physical But then he had the test negative for covert for six consecutive days before they would clear him to practice. Apparently, that did not happen, And now he has left the bubble. I'll play this for you later on, Spencer did what he was with the teller Rooks in the bleacher report. She basically asked him if you have any message for his. You know his fellow, eh? NBA players and teammates down there in Orlando, and he had a couple of interesting things to say. We'll get to that. But I've got shack for you on the TNT show. They dio the round table. They're interesting kind of out of left field. He's got big expectations for the Nets down in Orlando, because there's no home court advantage, and they're playing in the ballroom. Brooklyn will advance to the second round. You heard it here first mile. Okay, big fella. Okay, Wait, who Who did they meet again? To the second round? Whoever they plan their plan in the ballroom, and then the rest of the town. All you could hear in the reaction there obviously thinks he's a little crazy. I would have you think you can feel no queer. No, no, no, listen with no clear cut home court advantage. Emotions are going to be low, and everybody knows that they don't have certain D Wait. Vince can is. You know that's a tough team to play a team up for so basically saying, however, they place could be overlooking them since they got nobody essentially on the team at this point. But then they were saying, well, what they could mean the Raptors in the box there one of these really good teams, but how the heck are they going to beat them? But they've got to get there. First write that to forget about. They've got these regular season games to play. You see, Shaq was a good Samaritan. A woman on the side side of the road blower tire out and saw decided to stop and help. Watch that police cam video. Yeah. Elbow gum for the cop. Are we sure that shack though possibly interest sent that check? I know I'm just one of those things where he's never going to be misidentified ever in his life. That shack everybody, isn't he a cop himself, or, like a voluntary cop or something like that Voluntary? He does a lot of Yes, I'm using a sheriff for something. My dad sent me one of these chain videos yesterday. I don't know how recent it was where? Yeah, There were some kids playing basketball in a in a local town and someone called the cops because they were making Much noise, and the cops came out to tell the kids. You're not do anything wrong, You know, just keep playing and then shack shows up. He gets out of the car proceeds to play with all the cops and the kids. He gave them like. Some inspirational speech. He gave them each 100 bucks if they made a free throw, so he is involved as a volunteer to somewhere in so here it is Deputy Shack. He was deputized. By a Florida sheriff. So in a particular county, I guess Broward County he was deputized so And he is planning on running for sheriff in 2020 later. I like that. That's gonna win, like in a landslide. I would think so. Yes. Yeah. Whoever the person is running against him, has no shot. Good luck. What So just drop out of the race at this point is one of the most likable guys on earth. Migration. There's there's no way that's great man. Look at that. Who would with all the stuff that he does a lot of stuff that shack with the reversals and his podcast and help the people on the side of the pizza sheriff, too? Yeah, That's right. The shack Maroni might be beneath him. But no, no, no, no, no. Try the veal. There is that shack pulling me over. He does This pictured him right around one of those scooters or on horseback. "The auto parts studios alongside over the body builds gonna join us from one hour to talk Dallas Cowboys they're not going to go to Oxnard California this year to train Jack Prescott is going to be as signees franchise tag that could be worth thirty eight million next year if he has to go the franchise tag again so naturally Dallas would like to get a long term deal Adams would like to be treated to the cowboys will talk I was coming up in our number two have been talking about the latest in the bubble Wallace NASCAR situation and as I said earlier I don't think it's fair to put Bubba Wallace in the same category is just just a small let people wanna make that comparison to want to make that connection it's that's not the case all but I I don't know how NASCAR feels today I I would think there's a level of embarrassment here that the FBI didn't take long to determine was garage full end but also relieved I guess that there is not this race is in the midst of they've got to extract it through an investigation they were going to interview everybody on every team and said the old system through a massive investigations to find out who this person was because there's no person so I think there's a level of relief but there's also a little got to be a level of embarrassment here because I'm wondering there was nobody from Talladega around to say Hey we've been with those are two garage police I'm sorry that was they're all over the place I'm sorry we probably should've done it differently I don't know but that's not what you think it is no no it was around to answer that question and that means that right that's the first time the first thought I was having was like okay if it's used as a garage police as is the only garage door that has it or do all the other garage doors have yeah it was a there's some Talladega official going you know are just maintenance guy janitors like I don't know if you guys it's all right here too that's how we do it the solution that's the world we you know we we fasten it like that now looking at the different photos a minute it does have a news look to it is very small it is looks like the size that you know it it just fits your hand nothing else so maybe got to rethink the way you tie your rope burger AJ pulled maybe that's the best way to do it I don't know yeah I guess I mean I have a garage door openers electric in this era so I don't know I mean again but the big is one of the news today's baseball is back players association agrees to report July first to training camp I I think coronaviruses gonna hit this portal unlike the other sports I just think if you if you simply is home if you play in the ball parks with the travel and all that trying to do it as normal as you can without it being so completely the way it is I think this sport gets gets its share of virus tests invite positive tests I think it's gonna have to deal with it there's no bubble here like the big the NBA is trying to turn a bubble in even the NBA said that positive tests are inevitable they just want to keep them to a minimum but positive in and think they're doing everything they possibly can isolate players of every single thing that they even they know that that's not going to be possible eight Major League Baseball is sending players home they're sending players wherever they want to go right so again if they want to go out to dinner after game whatever their families they're not they're not being told to stay in a hotel and never leave the hotel there is going to live their life when they're in their home city and when you do that you're gonna get you're gonna bring some cases of ball park and I think the sports can have to deal with that probably the fifteen games in you'll probably start going man this is not going good Charlie Blackmon the Rockies tested positive customers working out of course feel with two other players all the boys in the Rockies got so it is a number of other players and getting them tested positive for so this is the way baseball's coming back but it is sixty games postseason as normal no expansion of it no quirky way of determining the World Series champion but you know what I'm interested in is sixty games okay the favorites of the Yankees in the Dodgers the Astros you know sort of the who's who of baseball over the last couple years but just sixty games is there a chance for somebody else that's come in not on the radar to get into the postseason and envy and and make a make a Ron gill currently with the Washington nationals did in a way but again with a hundred and sixty two games the nationals not playing well in the beginning and then playing really well well sort of he was a long drawn out situation sixty games I mean could you get a team that just catches fire just stays on fire and for whatever reason is like wow we never expected this group hundred and sixty two games will weed you out that's the one thing I've always liked about the baseball season is a little long yeah it's a long probably could be reduced you know a couple more couple games here or there but I never wanted to go out and ever wanted it did say it was eighty games or anything like that now a hundred and sixty two really allows you to develop your team and if you make the post season you've really earned I mean you you went through the marathon he went to the marathon to get to the sprint in this situation sixty games isn't is like thirty seven percent of the season so could you see a team that is not on the radar then all of a sudden goes yeah well it's only sixty games and we played pretty good and we got in the pitching holds up what we can make a run of a World Series championship and what about the Dodgers and the Yankees want to get off to a slow start remember one of the factors about a sixty game schedule is if you get an injury you're out for like half the season if you're a real major injury that takes four to six weeks are calling for a while right in this season's gonna wrap up and sit at the late September it's going to go from the end of July to the end of September so imagine the a six week injury to Clayton Kershaw like or error the name of Yankee it could be anybody I was gonna say Aaron judge but he's likely to miss time anyway because he always miss our Giro Stanton Giancarlo does depend right welcome if you are a manager season he'll miss the season right forget it but if you have a player that's a deal a major impact type of player T. and he gets a four week injury that's half the season that he's not gonna be in your lineup and if that sets you back I mean are these safe that's Dodgers Yankees Astros or should you take a chance on a team.

"So I'm not sure how many of you I think I say so too much or at least I have in the last five minutes I'm not sure how many of you saw the Jack Prescott reports on Thursday but I wasn't sure whether to drop my mouth open like well or to laugh and I know at some point we're going to get to where the stage where quarterbacks are probably earning forty five million dollars per year the reports surfaced on Thursday that the negotiations will soon begin for the Patrick Mahomes contract extension with the chief so they will do some preliminary preliminary discussions that at some point that will start to move forward and if there's anybody who deserves to make and buy deserve I mean think about the business that they're in think about what Mahomes is already mentioned to the kids city chiefs organization not just as the NFL MVP and as the Superbowl MVP before the age of twenty five but the excitement and the buzz and the fact that he has put the chiefs on the map again in a way that maybe they never work but certainly have a bed and a really long time he's changed the direction that entire franchise he's put a whole lot of new life into a be read as a head coach and he's the the kind of guy that other NFL players will want to play with I mean there's just a lot of excitement around the cheese and so if there's anyone in the NFL who deserves the contract of more than forty million dollars per year think in monopoly money to you and me but consider what he means to the franchise well then it would be Patrick Mahomes and remember you're you're paying for what still to come he is very early in his career he should get better as a quarterback and the more experience and wraps and and chat with him he can get under his belt the better and so they're just starting on this road with Mahomes and so yeah you could see them wanting to pay him a not only are a record of all contract but one that you know that kind of blows blows the rest of us the the legal way what we heard here initially that it was gonna be a two hundred million dollar contract right so we're not that far away from someone making that kind of money let's just say a home visit forty million over five years now fifty million over four years will be quite a big jump but the rumor about dak Prescott they came from Chris Evans is a former NFL QB himself the son of Phil Simms and now works in the business he's been on the show before he reported that dak Prescott was asking for forty five million dollars a year five of the deal that the cowboys have on the table and there was another report that Jack was asking for forty five million dollars every year of the deal now according to sources at CBS sports our sources telling CBS sports neither report is true so they're both either bad info to Chris Evans in the case of your five and forty five million dollars and he's being used as a pawn which happens all the time in professional sports you'll have agents you'll have teams you'll even have the league throw reports out there two particular media people just to further their own agenda we'll call it propaganda so there is the chance that someone is using Chris seventh knowing that he's going to put this report out there and how may I guess there's a couple ways you could look at it you can look at it as the Dallas Cowboys were leaking it to try to get public opinion on their side although I just don't think that is even necessary so I'm not sure this game for the cowboys I don't know where it came from it it doesn't matter really just that a lot of times these leaks in these reports are plants they're they're intentional lance to create a particular narrative or add your particular narrative or just in general to just throw the whole thing into flux and so a couple of different sources tell CBS sports that neither report is is true that Jack's camp is not asking for forty five million dollars in your five and he's also not asking for forty five million dollars every year of the new contract it's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio what I've heard and what we've heard from multiple insiders on the show what seems to be consistent is that years if the sticking point the number of years is the sticking point four years is what Jack and his side want because they want to be able to write you a new contract either three years or he will become a free agent in four years and they want to be able to take advantage not only of the the fact that he would still be the prime of his career theoretically but also the new collective bargaining agreements the new TV contract that will because the salary cap to go up for every NFL team there's a real chance that next year's salary cap could be Lou lower much lower because of the loss of revenue if the NFL doesn't have fans in the stands for these upcoming games of twenty twenty but we'll cross that bridge if we come to and so we've heard over and over and that includes cowboys insiders who are rather situation are very connected to the team exactly that the sticking point is years cowboys were locked in for as long as possible that there's even a report out there that actually the cowboys after birth seven year deal but the money part is something that we talked about a few weeks ago that the improbably with Mike Fisher one of five three the fan and cowboys as I that the latest deal offered to Jack averaged about thirty five million dollars annually at the money guaranteed with well over a hundred million dollars right so you put all the money together and the cowboys get Jack for five years at thirty five million dollars annually you're talking about a hundred and seventy five million dollar contract not quite where her Patrick Mahomes will go but still I thought a lot of money so right now it's it's back and forth when it comes to the number of years Hey no surprise there's real there's no real sense of urgency it's not like he's missing OTA's it's not like there's anything happening right now that would force them to get this deal done deadlines spur action that's something the Jerry Jones is real big on and they still have almost two months to get a deal first media it would take it could take right up until middle of July July fifteenth is the deadline the training camps are supposed to star in Seoul late July anyway so it's really no big deal he whether he signs the franchise tender which would actually save the money or whether they end up getting this deal done right now it's not danger zone they're not anywhere close to this crazy sense of urgency it's just something to keep talking about but the longer the deal is not done the more you're going to hear these outrageous reports forty five million dollars a year that's insane and I'm not saying we will get there with NFL quarterbacks but to take the leap where we are right now with Russell Wilson all the way to forty five million dollars is it's it's yeah it's insane especially considering that again NFL teams could take a revenue hit this upcoming year and could end up losing money if there are if there are no fans in the stands or if there are only say twenty five percent capacity or fifty percent capacity so they're likely going to take a hit in revenue of forty five million dollars a year it's hard to say what anybody's work but if you consider the words of the Patrick Mahomes to the chiefs that press god not in that same category Wilder's that number if I popping and laughable coming up next long time NFL tight end Reggie Kelly it's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS.

"Franchise tag if I would have thought of my initial response is that I would plan on sitting out the season Jack Prescott and the cowboys they are back at the contract bargaining table keep in mind he's currently franchise tags sell if for nothing else once he signs that tag if he should do they'll be locked up for at least one season but he does have a leverage those as Edward he's won games while making sixty four consecutive starts any created leverage by playing on his rookie contract having the best of **** season of his career and forcing the cowboys to use the franchise tag on the quarterback for the first time in their history the cowboys didn't contend for a Super Bowl Prescott counting two million dollars against the salary cap we certainly don't want to attempt it within county nearly thirty million dollars and playing annually on franchise tags all right so it's not exactly an old Texas stand all but they are on opposite sides of the table currently Marcus spears Louis Riddick on get up on deck in Dallas it's a situation here were quite honestly unless dak is willing to relent and he's willing to give them you know what they want to make some concessions as far as a number of years on the contract look he's the one who has leverage right now and it's always about timing and leveraging players when they have the opportunity to exercise it they're going to exercise it he knows that Dallas right now is it between a rock and a hard place as far as trying to get this done because as in late outlook if they put them under if they just kind of have to keep carrying him on the franchise tag that absolutely just hamstring them as far as they're planning the most this year and in subsequent years as far as signing players so really it's going to be about how much money are are they willing to boost up maybe his average hourly on his average yearly salary of the willing to boost you know the signing bonus and then and then he will go ahead and add on another year in order to give them some salary cap relief in the short term it's all gonna be about given taken right now doesn't sound like deck because of the fact that he knows that he has leverage in his timing on his side in this situation is such that they need in there it doesn't sound like he's willing to do that right now so I mean the contract negotiations ultimately are always about both sides giving in and not necessarily getting everything that they want so somebody walks away not getting everything right now that doesn't seem like he's going to do so and that's why we are where we are market here there in Dallas your former cattle you live there day in day out except a second here because I want to get to other things in your mind is there anyway this doesn't get worked out that that he winds up playing this season on the franchise tag there to me there's no way this doesn't get worked out because first of all to lose point like for for future terms what are you going to do with that place the franchise tag this year and decides to wall or decides even not to send this franchise tag with a new a cold I think the trend was for forgery retirement puts even more pressure on his organization to get it done as well having that make there and obviously give them in a canceled Mike McCarthy in the end they can get this all fits installed there's a lot of outlying factors besides the contract new things around Dallas some me around here like they are trying to read gore's and get this football team into the play also possibly win the Superbowl L. I. E. the hiring of Mike McCarthy but also the hurry the signing of a lot of these guys look done terrible just sent obviously you look at the markets more than what they were able to do last year by makes talks about the birds always moves the cowboys are not done in free agency either so it's point to lose points giving this done with bag is a must it's a hundred percent must did they get this done if they're going to move forward in their plan they didn't is done so is.

Are the Cowboys trying to find a job for Jason Garrett other than head coach?

"So Jason Garrett is still the head coach of the cowboys for now despite a general belief that he will not be the coach the team next year so what's taking so long making a with the fort worth star telegram says team owner Jerry Jones has always marched to the beat of his own drum don't want that about your go shooting contracts or situations like that he's not going to do it because he doesn't have to he doesn't have to do anything right now you don't have your own city Jason Garrett under contract for another thirteen days I think I think it's January fourteenth expires or something like that to do anything he doesn't it will expire and all he has to do is either extend them the new deal or taking care will no longer be employed because that's what his contract yeah if for some reason jury decides to bring them back which you can't rule anything out with him if he decides to bring back don't be surprised the guy was a good year because if you look at the timeline of which there's a lot of time now for took to look back on and say well this is what happened they go up they go down they go up they go down and if you look at it before the season started they were due to go down and they did they were from a double what they want from a playoff team came in with divisional round to retain the missed the plaster finish they may they finished eight made four times in his tenure don't be surprised I mean didn't opening this way I would be surprised if he came back but don't be shocked because his team again and now angel says the job is still one of the most coveted head coaching positions in sport actual narrative out there that exist that is incorrect that no one can work with Jerry Jones anybody can work Jerry Jones these metal from you not really metal some if your a strong coach with conviction and you have a clear purpose and idea in mind he's going to go along with it ninety five percent of the time now when you put in a coach who is who is deferential and you just have to have the job we Phillips very Switzer chain gaily to an extent and certainly Dave Campo Grande then he just does whatever wants anything done with the right idea in mind with the heart with a good heart but you know the fan you know takes over and includes his night Jason Garrett was really good for for Jerry Jones a lot of ways you're gonna listen more than you think because he gave Jerry a clear outline of what the council we should look for a player what they should do every day there are some exceptions were teary push something down his throat and that happened from time to time with any team but this idea that Jerry Jones no we can work with them it's not true this is not true the problem the ropes to the long ways Jerry talks and I'll say things that sometimes drug coach crazy because talks and we love them for it he's not going to stop because he owns the team you know hopefully that talking is good for the bottom line creating interest in and out of trouble is now will Jones make a big splash and hire another big coaching name if he does decide to let Jason Garrett go Randy the Los Angeles Lakers New York Yankees buy Dallas Cowboys cetera whomever you hired the splash are there certain games out there that is in place to the job I don't believe I don't believe you are Josh McDaniels the offensive coordinator with the patients who had done it was unsuccessful run as a head coach in Denver I don't think he's going to do that but I you know whether it's been mall and I know Chris Mortensen who is a plugin guy through that one out damn all the head coach of Florida there was a mystery to it because Dan Mullen was Jack Prescott tech coach at Mississippi state but remember he hires winners Bozo the clown whether it's even bring it back Jason Garrett guarantee you one thing it's going to create a buzz a lot of headlines there will meet with the Joneses tomorrow for the third time concerning his coaching

"This the only and that's questionable now here's Jack Prescott we did they may look quite low a little bit more plays than we did and that was the difference in the game do you think about that one and I of course I mean of course a very broad and got all the confidence in making those catches when talk to me said he wasn't sure how to watch it it was because of the ground the weather compromised when you're going a certain way as far as some of the past if you wanted to tell or we're going to take another game plan just because of the conditions none no not really I think I think I just struggled struggled early Ireland was first users before for the gloves on I can get a real grip on the ball I wasn't driving the ball and that's all me that I heard the team I miss him throw some I have some wide open throws that convert third downs that we continue to move in I can't do that I mean I got it but the gloves on earlier figure something out so it wasn't anything like that I've actually got to go on I just never won only one a practice before I was called on a warm practice wasn't raining then so like they did anything better than that I did the bare hands but I found out tonight I with the rain that they're they're they're pretty pretty awful was the photo Randall that made you for sure yes for sure I mean right I am I just don't have any comments and driving and then yeah just just got away from me and wasn't even anywhere near him on at that point I was have got to do something to give those gloves and the gloves on to a couple passes on the sideline and it was normal the weather was when they grow up I'm AT thing was later on I didn't drive it we can say whatever the reason is I mean I just don't drive it in step to step in to throw Saddam back killed through it they made a great play on a kind and see great catch great kids when does really well take certain version sure okay marginal rating did they take him away from the I'm I would say that I just said I mean I said are they made a little bit more plays and fewer mistakes that we did and we do make many we did make many those just one of those games just take what they give you on both sides of the ball fight the conditions on both sides wall and they came out on top the overall not that I'm not I'm not going to guess what culture to the can you talk about the play on third and seven and was with that situation also where he would have gotten a few yards you probably wouldn't on the want drawing I mean I don't know I mean I'm just playing the drive I write down so we just had a big play were gone I mean no one in this situation that I go over there and discuss anything with the culture so I'm not really sure maybe if we do get some yards right that happens but I comes to making that though to draw we almost got his feet down and she does yeah it's different so I'm not known how much does this feel like a missed opportunity to be so close to fifteen officers a missed opportunity from the whole team and for myself from this offense we had the ball in our hands and that's all I can ask for the ball in my hands with the game on the line and just didn't get it done simple is that some of that you have no winter just here but when you record was strange I can now to remain out of you know papers you you have never go public is good playoff teams yeah we got to get over the hump simple as that fortunate someway we still control our destiny so that's that's the good part about it and we just got to figure out and be some these good teams before we to put ourselves in position to make it make it to that tournament in to be able to beat those teams then you look at this is a of course of course nomination I look at is one game she's we've got a quick turnaround this thing is behind us us already behind me is behind this team I will be on tomorrow get get ready for the bills so I mean we got a quick one coming up on Thursday and we can have a hang over we'll be ready and we'll be ready to go calls for I have no the day so I don't think to you at all no I mean obviously it's I'm not looking at the gas feet I'm not looking at that miser down soon after the Bossier flag I don't know whether it's tripping hands to the face holding or what I'm just plan to play the borderline calls that all seem to go against you guys to the S. I mean that's been Hussey's along so I mean it's no no surprises not the new as I said before I was can you continue to say I'm just gonna play the play as my job will let those guys do their job and that's we all decide what they're doing in a.

"Hail Mary comes up short doesn't make the end zone. saints brought pressure on the hail Mary to make that Prescott get rid of the ball early doesn't get to the end zone and the saints win at home over the cowboys. we'll talk more about Jack Prescott in just a little bit there's been reports today that cowboys are not willing to pay Jack what he wants and if they are far apart. I can't say I blame. yes that's a tough negotiation. that's a tough spot to be in because. they are making an argument that basically says because you're the quarterback of the cowboys you can make more money. from endorsements then if you were the quarterback of the Broncos or the ravens or the cardinals or the bangles or whomever and so therefore your earnings are greater therefore we should have to pay you as much and that Prescott's responses basically. so. that's your problem not mine. if you can cash in on all that popularity of your team why can't I cash in on all that popularity for being the quarterback of your team. and Jack Prescott is of course absolutely right. but..

"I had that surgery but when you're not out there with your troops this. This is a very good football team. Have you talk about a team that amongst the top four teams that would come from the pack to me. I would pick the coats. Their roster topped about in their defense can get a little bit better. They could be there in miami and watch these highlights. The throws five touchdown pass theater. Five big passes three of them. He's on the move. I mean i understand he obviously can just drop back and sling it but stuff like that little mobile out of the pocket roll into his right making a big throw down the field the his lack of mobility it wouldn't kill him but it would decrease is overall effectiveness because he's so good on plays like the one we're showing right. There are moving on with contract negotiations still looming for jack prescott amari cooper and ezekiel elliott cowboys owner jerry jones isn't worried in his preaching patients knicks are the cowboys have a sense of urgency in locking up the big three certainly wouldn't have a sense of urgency when it comes to matching what appears dak prescott prescott wants. I think they've made a more than fair offer and adapt wants to make it to where they have a justified reason to walk away from negotiations pay him two million dollars this year and deal with it next season to that would be a godsend now zeke because he's not there is forcing a sense of urgency. The question is can they bridge leads the gap which appears to be around three to four million dollars per year of a gap and untold guaranteed dollars in a gap but with dak. I wouldn't have a sense of urgency. He's under contract trek tonight think that it would be good for them to get another season worth of information on jerry. Jones is the best negotiated they happen n._f._l. But i am concerned because they're no oh good deals out there to be had a maurice and i'm going to be patient so that to me leads to a franchise tag that has already asked for more than thirty million so ain't no good deals out there and zeke has asked to reset the running back market so no jerry better be patient because if he signs that deal early bad deals assigned early so no jerry sit ho tight third one there okay to the defensive side in dallas all pro dan robert quinn win appealed his two game suspension for violating the n._f._l.'s p._d. Policy the appeal was denied add that to coming off of surgery to repair a broken left hand and you'd think dallas newest weapon would be hard pressed to find a silver lining but according to quit and this is just part of the journey of this is just life..

"Event sorry we'll n._f._l. guys of course can't talk about the n._f._l. talking about the cowboys jack prescott talk at his annual youth football camp talking about expectations for twenty nineteen said quote my expectations are high not necessarily any ceiling on what i can do what this team can do it's just about the work putting in the work get better every aspect of the game making sure my teammates are doing the same we are excited for the position we're in so dak prescott high expectations what expectations do you have for the cowboys this year nick well i'll tell you what i love deck i love the way he goes about his business i love the fact that he wants to be the leader on that squad obviously with zeke in the backfield Huge OH. I o guy. i don't know i think every year i think the dallas cowboys are kind of like the new york yankees right if you're like you're expected to win the super bowl or the world series every year and if you don't it's a lost year i think jerry jones has been very open about having dak prescott is his quarterback and his leader moving into the future could not be more happy with that when your owner gives you as a player when your owner or your general manager or anyone in the brass gives you that confidence right to say hey you're our guy i get goosebumps thinking about it because athletes something happens to you and you get kind of set yourself up in that net comfortable phase where you're kind of like that's it man i've got so many people that are counting on me there's something good for that so i think the cowboys man moving forward I mean obviously, I think they put a great product on the field each and every year. best stadium in the game right now yeah so

"Do you want to have the highest rated show possible, which there are ways or do you want to have what you feel is the best show possible? I think we could probably have better ratings on our show. We talk more Cowboys. But I don't want to do that. I like to do what we do. I can't do it in Tell that. me about that. When I just I I think this this show evolves naturally we come in. And where you go. What what do we want to talk about not? Hey, let's talk about Jack Prescott is a better quarterback Jared Goff. Like, let's let's shoehorn something in here. Let's talk about Jerry Jones is two hundred and fifty million dollars young yet. And let's ties to a social issue in some way, just get some juice. But I even let's talk about LeBron good or bad. I just I that's not how I was brought up to do this. You do the story. That's in front of you. You do that right story at the right time. And look do we sacrifice ratings. I'm sure if we talked about the Cowboys and LeBron we would do better. I can't do that every day. I now, and I do applaud the fact that skip Bayless can somehow it's a talent show every day where you touch on those two topics and Stephen a Smith they're able to do that. I just can't do that. I can't either. Just the topic. Then you get to the next layer of what is the take my burn is. I wish I wanna say something original. Now, what happens is if you wanna say something original and stick out, you find yourself getting very extreme either extremely positive is the best player in the history of the world or you just destroyed people. It can be dangerous dangerous because you don't even mean it, but he just so motivated by saying something different. And I want to give you a compliment. I think you're one of the few people who can just talk sports without saying something completely ostentatious that you don't even mean. But dammit got six thousand retweets. I'll say it again tomorrow. It's it's an art right now. And we try to do it hard. But you can fall into the hot take trap because you wanna have a cool opinion. And you know, you believe it, I think you could maybe justify it. But then when you start to see those retweets and all that you start to believe a lot of things. It's a whole religion there on Twitter. It really is. Can't do it. I got okay here. Here's a hot take. What you got? I love this gives them if. Jason GARRETT'S coaching. I John this weekend. And I'm saying yes, or no, yeah. Now Jason Garrett extended his job last weekend. That was a big win as a big win for back you ever take. What we're doing? I think I think you undersold it. I think nevermind Garrett. I think Belgium goes for his job. You cannot lose that home to a team or seven zero against. I think listen Daniels waiting in the wing regime that the bit Brady playing for his job. Listen Brian wear. Throws a nice ball people sleep on Brian where they're expecting Brady. So I would think so. Yeah, I think Mahomes planned for his job to have you ever seen? Chad any of the thing whistles when it comes out of sleep on any. Now, we got we got something here. It was just about the changes that whoa. What a Patrick just say. This is what you guys need to do on. Good morning. Football is just have fake context will pass it back and use call it fake contacts and somebody dresses up as skip Bayless. Like Kay Adams, dress up is skip Bayless, and we'll call it worst take or maybe hot potato, and we'll just pass it back and forth. But you've just make up a hot take. Right. Just like they do might take on Cuyler Murray. I think he tried basketball. You know what I'm saying? I mean, there's there's more money longer life expectancy golf you can play. So you're eighty that baseball football and everybody's done. Okay. We got hot takes. This is simple. Thanks.

"Now we're we're reaching a level of ridiculous the russell you'll russell j they're not draft russell wilson all the teams drafted quarterback to me this happens all the time here they pass on brady fivetimes the obvious one now you you you you drafted a sheepherder instead of drafted the offensive coordinator you ct martin and so we can play that game all day long but that's that's not the conversation chris in a car things patriots fans are lunatics teams appropriate time to take him hey chris hey guys did a great great uh with this guy jack prescott i mean i follow football i certainly fall teacher it's football but when that's going on even do truscott was called me crazy now we just you know it's like revisionist history year but here's the thing and here's the thing chris i love you think he's a good exactly catholic couldn't agree with your war if we did we just get caught in a situation where you know we didn't radio forty we need a little insurance policy and walk talk when you said is last couple of years is probably the best football he's if we you know we took off oil and now we get to a situation where you know tom is gonna be mvp or the league this year i think is likely not win another super bowl exam and this is this is like the ultimate homer spin on this i acknowledge this rate from the get go but it's almost as it everybody did their job too well um they they like you today the blue dreams you're just you're damn good too good they drafted a guy who was so good that they couldn't possibly keep him as a backup any longer and worries out as well demanding start yeah they they identified the next franchise guy but the guy that they were already working within in succeeding with for decades just continues to succeeds the too good in that front as well there are just too good for their own could because the guys of the other quarterbacks.

"Knight every day i should say for quarterbacks in the nfl we talked about marquee match ups like what we saw from jack prescott carson winds last night how 'bout this kind of give you a different sense of how much more spread out the burden is on the eagles offense for success i saw this tweet from rich eisen eleven different players including carson winds advance the ball offensively for the eagles night eight different players for first down four different players for touchdowns but this is a team that can spread out all that pressure this is a team that can find a way to put that load i'm different people so one injuries do pop up it's a little bit easier to disperse all of that pain this is war do wise for them place where this is comparatively a lot more difficult is in buffalo and then i truly feel for this kid i truly feel for nathan peterman because he was really put in a nowin situation here he's guingona's probably sooner than he ever expected to really be the case although most guys coming near competitors they wanna play they want to be ready for that chance but now to do it this way we're going into it do you at half the country would certainly you would certainly age split were there are people wondering could his more of a pocket presence in this team benefit this group could help them out on the other side you would everyone looking at this from another vantage point saying this just seems like a.
