"Looks at what happened with Vegas last year and found that their game was able to get shut down and that once they were getting hemmed in their own zone, especially that Gerard nemeth pairing last year just got eaten alive. I think Gerard's skills as a defenseman are so geared towards transition play and rush defense and kind of making sure that people don't come into the zone that he got exposed quite a bit I think in last year's playoffs in terms of his end zone defense and obviously part of that was due to nemeth, but you know I do kind of think you talked about Gerard's struggles. I think that a lot of that is just pure Jack Johnson itis, you know, there really is a kind of thing that we've seen in the past. They happen to Chrysler Tang a couple of years ago where Jack Johnson when he's playing with a skilled defenseman will just do so specifically horribly with them. I think they're expected goals rate is like sub 40% together. And then Jack Johnson does better away from them. So all their metrics go completely awry. You know, I think you put him with a guy in Josh Manson who at least theoretically is supposed to be a strong end zone defender and net front presence and all that kind of stuff that maybe that will give girard a bit more leeway to do what he does best instead of maybe having a cover for a guy like Johnson or just be a complete mess out there. So I think it makes sense and I think it does address issues that they had last year against Vegas in terms of if we can't do the transition fund against Vegas or a team that is going to play like Vegas because obviously it is not certain for sure the Vegas is going to be in the playoffs in the first place. I think this does give them options to diversify and even if it doesn't at least it's better than what they would have done or what they would have had out there if they had just done nothing. "Jason, let me start out by asking you, I know you didn't vote for Trump either time, and I can certainly understand why people would be lucky to do it for in the first time. I talked to your friend and mine, Tom sole about Trump back in 2016 when he was running. And I asked him, okay, Hillary versus Trump, and he said, well, one of the disaster referring to misses Clinton and the second one is a risk. But I thought over the course of the four years, given how well the economy was doing, him pardoning Jack Johnson and pardoning Alice Alice Johnson, who had a long nonviolent drug offense and the way he handled the borders. The judges he put on, I would have thought that perhaps you might have reconsidered the second time and voted for him in 2020. Well, I did not. And this book is not a defense of Donald Trump's character or personality or Twitter feed. But it is a defense of free market economic policies, which I think redounded to the benefit of working class Americans in general, but blacks in particular because blacks make up a disproportionate number of working class Americans. So my argument in the book is that free market policy is work. No matter who the instituting them.

"It's a lie. Do the police have a disproportionate interaction with certain areas of city that are predominantly black and brown? Yes. And it's because of the crime. You know, you go with a fish R don't you want the police to be where the crime is highest? And I think Democrats do it because they know that if they can get 13% or so of the black vote, 13% of the vote, which is black vote angry. And convince them that we are the party of social justice and those guys over there Republicans are the party of racism. They can get that large percentage of the black vote without which they can not win. And I think one of the reasons they're doubling down on this kind of nonsense, it's because more and more black voters are rethinking their emotional, in my opinion, allegiance to the Democratic Party. Donald Trump got 12% of the black vote in 2020. He got 8% in 2016. That's a 50% increase. And he got 20% of the black male vote. Largely because of his economy. Best economy for blacks in history, prison reform, doing something about the borders. And the reason that's relevant is because most of the legal aliens who come here are unskilled, and they compete for jobs that otherwise would be held by people living in the inner city with high school or less education and they put down with pressure on their wages. He also pardoned Jack Johnson the first black heavyweight champion pardon Alice Johnson, the woman that had a very long sentence for a nonviolent drug offense. He did music modernization act. And some 5000 or so blacks, mostly black men, were able to take part of his prison reform, and have their sentences reconsidered and reduce an average of 70 months. So for all those reasons, Donald Trump increased substantially his percentage of the black vote. And so they're now doubling down on calling Republicans races and calling the police racist. Yeah. Now there's nothing wrong with a touch of patriotism during the Christmas holidays. Larry elder here. And i didn't want electric guitar. Wanted an acoustic guitar. And it's kind of like the same concept but they're kind of very different in my head Because i think you have to plug into an amplifier for the electric guitar and i kind of associated that would like distortion and stuff and at that time i really liked taylor. Swift in like Like jack johnson and they both played acoustic guitar. And i thought that that was just what fit me the best in now playing breedlove guitars and I i still love the acoustic guitar so much. I'm getting more into electric guitar though. No has the guitar kind of become an extension of yourself now extension of your creativity. You're sure i have a single guitar. That i just love to death It's my beloved guitar and it's actually right over here but i read all my songs on and I tend to ring it anywhere. I go so if i don't have it with me. It feels kind of weird right right so so even travel with it. Whether you're performing or not you just like to have your guitar on you. I guess so. Because i don't really go to a lotta places without it. So did you have to as as you started to to right at this young age. Did you feel like you had to find a voice or because you're listening to all these artists who who have albums they. They've been performing. They've been seeing for well. Did you feel like that. You had to find your your own voice. Did you want to sound like them. Did you put on voice like like. How did you go about finding that. When i started out i think it was just kind of like whatever came out and just kind of went with. I think over time just tried to find what my sound is because i think every artist has defined their sound what they wanna say and who they want to be I think i just put out my brand new album relaxed with fiennes. Jack johnson beat jim jefferies in the fight of the century. Johnson had crossed the racial barrier to claim the championship and defended the crown from white supremacists. Tensions were high leading up to the match and when johnson white the floor with jeffries white americans took it as an insult while black fans through. Spontaneous parades in honor of jack johnson after the victory white mobs took to the streets across the nation in a streetcar in houston texas boxing fan. Charles williams bragged about the jack johnson. Victory then he noticed that a white man had crossed into the car next to him. The man thought charles was rejoicing too loudly so he pulled a knife and killed him in the new york neighborhood of san juan hill. Which would later be replaced with. Lincoln center black community members celebrated after the fight until a white mob descended on the area setting fire to the buildings and blocking the exits with their bodies in wheeling west virginia. Furious crowds marched through the streets. They spotted a black driver in a luxury car. They attacked the driver dragged him to a bridge and hanged him. Meanwhile a black gunman shot a white man in arkansas in washington. Dc alone two hundred thirty. Six people were arrested after two white men were stabbed to death across. Roughly twenty five states mobs rioted in the streets. Major cities instituted lockdowns as their mounted. Police patrolled the city when the crowds didn't disperse. They opened fire turning the streets into a war zone. The total number of deaths and injuries is difficult to count but the official estimate is that between eleven and twenty. Six people were killed in the riots. The vast majority of victims were black. Hundreds were beaten and more jailed by july seventh movie theaters across the nation. Shut down what they believed was fueling. The racial unrest exhibiting a black and white film of johnson jeffries. Fight up until then. It was common to play recordings of big boxing matches in theaters. But the white house declared the film to be a possible source of renewed outrage and yanked it from all venues for decades this vital record of black history went on scene no other movie achieved that level of cultural impact and success again until five years later when the birth of a nation came out despite also depicting racial themes. The film was shown everywhere even in the white house. The reason was obvious in the birth of a nation. The whites won the fight. The violence after the johnson fight largely petered out after a few days. While many americans still struggled to accept jack johnson skill in the ring he had one major backer. Jim jefferies fans tried to excuse the loss by claiming that jeffries was past his prime but the man himself said that wasn't true in his words even in his prime or if he had a thousand more years to train he never would have beaten track.
