"Today's featured stories and opinion piece from Jack soloway and Jennifer Schultz. Mister soloway is a policy analyst at kato's institute center for monetary and financial alternatives while miss Schultz is the director of financial regulation studies at the same institute. Our piece today is entitled, we need regulatory clarity to keep crypto exchanges onshore and DeFi permissionless. At consensus 2023, senator Cynthia lummis, a Republican from Wyoming, and congressman Patrick mchenry, a Republican from North Carolina, voiced their goals of developing legislation to clarify crypto market structure in the united states, with a house proposal expected in the next two months. Last week, in a joint hearing of the digital asset subcommittee of the House agriculture and House financial services committees, work proceeds to resolve what congressman French hill, a Republican from Arizona, has referred to as an impossible situation where the same firms are subject to competing enforcement actions by the Securities and Exchange Commission, or SEC, and the commodity futures trading commission or CFTC, which is in their words, pushing entrepreneurs, developers, and job creators offshore. This is an impossible situation, and it's manifestly unwise for the U.S. to show the door to those working on what may be the next generation of global financial infrastructure. Congress must bring regulatory clarity to crypto market structure, defining the bounds and appropriate legal treatment of crypto securities, crypto commodities, and the exchanges, both centralized and decentralized over which they trade. Notwithstanding the skepticism and evasions of SEC chair Gary gensler, crypto's core innovation decentralization is the proper criterion by which to rationalize digital asset market structure and determine whether applying traditional financial regulations to crypto tokens in exchanges make sense. The phrase, same activity, same risk, same regulation, is oft repeated by financial regulators. But as applied to crypto, it raises the question, are the risks the same. Specifically, do crypto projects present the risks that issuers in the primary market or intermediaries in the secondary market can exploit their position to harm token purchasers by, for example, abusing non public information, misleading market participants, breaking promises, or otherwise engaging in fraud.

Noster uses a means of identification and account management very similar to Bitcoin. It has Bitcoin lightning integration, and bitcoiners tend to be somewhat techie nerds and early adopters. Hence, mostly Bitcoin type folks were the first to see potential and get on it. There is a finite limit to growth, though, with any topic on social media. And instead of complaining about one topic dominance, I think it is time we focus on the solution. Let's talk about other stuff. What other stuff? Honestly, any other stuff, but from my community, we of course love permaculture, homesteading, gardening, prepping, entrepreneurship, lifestyle design, and threat analysis. "Jack, I want to talk. You know, actually, give us the lay of the land. I mean, you are Polish, you're an American, but you are a Polish descent. My family's poorest, yeah. Yeah, your family's Polish. So I saw this news story. I wasn't going to so sorry to put you on the spot here, but I know you can handle it. I saw that there's the prime minister in my right of Poland is now calling for the death penalty to be brought back into law in Poland. Is that right? Yes. Exactly. So you got to understand that the backstory is that in the EU, the death penalty does not exist. In fact, there's only one country in all of Europe that still has the death penalty, and that's Belarus, which is in Eastern Europe, not in EU member. And in fact, Russia doesn't even have the death penalty. So I know, right, Russia. And so for any EU member to even discuss bringing this back, I mean, it would be like, I mean, it would be like us talking about bringing back firing squads or something, which I do know that I think Idaho was actually talking about this recently. So the backstory here is that unfortunately there was a horrific case of child abuse in Poland, this total psychopath where murder in general is very, very low in Poland. It's one of the lowest countries in all of the OCD. The developed countries list. And it was an 8 year old child who was unfortunately brutalized and killed. And the prime minister of Poland came out straight up and said, we should reinstate the death penalty when it comes for a child abuse. And Andrew, I got to say, if there's any crime that deserves it, it's that.

He said, FYI, when you hear DHS secretary mayorkas say that migrants are placed into removal proceedings, that does not mean they are being removed. Sometimes it does, but a large majority of the time it means release with future court date, that is part of title 8 removal proceedings. Well, then he follows that up here with this is a news nation reporter on the board. He says, I'm speaking with Venezuelan migrants in El Paso who have been released with NTA's notice to appear with a court date in 2026. 2026, they get a three year Visa basically. Well, you beat me to it. I was actually telling you that the average core date was two to four years now. It's about three to 5 years from now. So they give them the ability to come into this country and not be held accountable for coming into this country illegally. They're giving them court dates from who knows when. And you don't have enough judges to process all the thousands of people that are covered. Hey, and so imagine, are those court dates ever even going to happen? And they have the statistic for those who show back up to court is extremely low. So basically, they know that once we let them in, the likelihood of them actually going through the process and becoming legal is very low, but yet they continue to do it. They know the damage this is causing yet they're refusing. They're turning a blind eye to it. And to me, it feels like it's on purpose that they are actually undermining this country. You're doing it at the southern border. It's basically like they've looked at how can we screw this up the most royally possible, let's do that.

"Tax it for us. Just the removal of title 42 mean that our borders are open. Does it really? It matters what they say. It's what they do. And their actions have sent a message across the world that we're not going to hold people accountable. So it doesn't matter that they say, hey, listen, the border is not open. That's kind of what they do. But really what they're saying is their words mean nothing because their actions tell the cartels and tell all the people coming here illegally that you won't be sent back. And flooding our communities with unknown people, flooding our streets with people that could be criminals. They can be sex offenders. We have no idea because they've haven't done their job. And then they're flooding our communities with dangerous drugs in particular fentanyl, which has become the leading cause of death amongst Americans. And that is how you undermine the rule of law, especially for us in local law enforcement, because we have no ability to enforce immigration. That has been time and time again, reaffirmed by the federal government and the courts that it is their responsibility. So when you talk about opening the borders, it reinvents America by undermining the rule of law and making our job very difficult, creating even greater need for federal government, which is why we can not continue to look for federal government for the answers. They are the problem, not the answer.

"Doctor gold, you brought something up, which I think qualifies. So I've always been wondering, now that I'm sitting here with you, Eric, and you Brandon, the LGBTQ, et cetera, all the initials. XYZ, my name is lesion. The extensive, I believe, as a doctor that that movement was hijacked. By the whole transgender movement. And I'm just speaking as a physician, I'm very offended at the fact that doctors perform these very high risk surgeries, which have unbelievably high complication rates that in no other area of medicine would we be allowed to legally do. But they're doing them because they're called experimental. So as long as a person signs away, they can't really bring a malpractice suit against the practitioner. But they should be absolutely illegal. It's assault. It's terrible. But I'm just kind of wondering if you as a gay person, feel as though the LGBT movement was hijacked by the transgender movement. Yes. Short answer is yes, but it's also complicated because I think that there's an enormous amount of people now that are calling themselves transgender who are not even transgender. So it's a little bit complicated. I mean, so now there was a time when I was growing up where there were people who had gender reassignment surgery and they would say they felt like they were born in the wrong body and we called those people transgender. Now we're calling 14 year old girls with purple hair and nose ring trans because they say that they fall somewhere on a gender spectrum or they're neither male nor female. That to me is an absolute high jacking. And then the second part of it too is that the whole gay rights movement began with stonewall in 1969 and it was a group of mostly gay men who got tired of having the bar that they were going to being rated night after night by police. They were being beaten and finally one night they fought back. Well, now the sort of radical Marxist movement is saying, well, that didn't happen. It was actually black trans women who were fighting back against these officers at stonewall and that this history has been whitewashed. And it's not true. So yeah,

Now there's talk about who instigated that. Did he ask for the money back? Did she offer it? There's a little contradiction there depending on who you ask. But they met in private. Off campus. Right. But just the fact that she refunded it, makes her look even more guilty of cheating. Right. But on the other hand, if you're cheating, if you really are cheating, you have some information. This is not the hand to do it on. Because it's so obvious that you're cheating. It's so obvious that she probably isn't cheating. You see what I ate right? Right. Exactly. Exactly. Well, and we didn't mention, we should mention this. He's a pro. Yeah. And she's not. She's relatively new. She's had some cashes. She's relatively new to the game, right? Yeah, and she has kind of a reputation from what I've read of being kind of a wild player. Yeah. Right, sure. So, I mean, that works in her favor too. But it still seems very odd. I don't really have an opinion on if she's cheating or not. Because it could go either way. Yeah, I don't think this could very possibly be the case. I have no proof of this, but I'm thinking maybe she looked at her cards for whole cards initially. Didn't look at them the rest of the hand and when the flop came ten 9, I'm thinking maybe she forgot that she had a Jack and thought that she had a ten. If she thought she had ten four, going the whole rest of the way, she would have played it exactly like this. Right. 'cause she's got a tan, but she's got a terrible kicker. It would explain the rays. It would explain taking a long time to thinking about it and then making the call and then maybe at the end she was too embarrassed to say that she thought she had, instead she's trying to make it look like she made this hero call. Yeah, well, she was trying to say she read him. Yeah, right. And I can read you. Okay, well, even if you can read somebody, you've got Jack high. Right. He could have, he could be bluffing with king high. Right. Exactly. I don't know. It's one of those things where who knows, I like that people are saying she cheated because she had some kind of vibrator, you know, signaling that he didn't have a hand. Well, you know, yeah, she'd have to have an accomplice there. They don't allow phones at the table. I don't know. Seriously though, again, if you are cheating, you don't cheat without hand. You throw that away because it's so obvious that you're cheating. So she must not have been cheating. It's caused quite a stir and I get a kick because there's a lot of people claiming that she had some beads in a particular spot of her body that vibrated in signal to all right. I think that's on that note, I think we should just drop the top. I just get a kick out of that that people think that's an option.

But I think it's a good find here with your Jackson the longtime tactical Tuesday listeners will notice that, yeah, we're turning pairs into bluffs. I have to live with it these days. It's just part of part of my reality. So you make peace with your reality, you don't try to change it. I think that's gonna do it for this episode of tactical Tuesday, even though had a hand where we checked down to the river, I think it is an interesting spot, and for tactical Tuesday listeners, you can get back to us about hands like this where there are multiple streets with no action, right? But these are the type of hands that you play in poker. The majority of the time and it's fun getting to parts of the decision tree that we haven't really discussed in depth, a ton on tactile Tuesday. And also, yeah, send us some themes. We need tactical Tuesday themes, guys. Our creative juices are lacking, I think. I think just one last kind of educational thing that I'll add to this episode is that if I did bet one, if I just range about a third with this hand on the flop or bet too thinly on the turn or whatever that involved not checking both flop and turn, I probably don't find a way to win this hand. No, you bet the flop, then you check back, check back and lose. And I think that's something that's a little bit unintuitive. And something that I didn't really understand until I started checking back thoughts, but checking back can actually open these doors up that don't exist for you to find ways to fold out king 9 or ace deuce or something like that. If you start with my range bearing flop I assume you're just like check and turn and river and just losing to all the a sex and king X we could bet check that, John. Let's not lose out hope you could bet a third, check back turn and go crazy on the ten river. Yeah, I guess. Okay, so there are other ways to win the hand, but I think just don't think that just because you're checking back, you've given up all hope on many ways to finding creative ways to win. That's just the last thing I wanted to add. These branches of the decision tree exist for a reason, you know? Find them, figure them out, and yeah, I think that's just a thing going back to the original theme jacks, hard to play. Well, put yourself in uncomfortable spots that are currently difficult for you to play and maybe a year from now they won't be so difficult if you put yourself out there. Solidifying our player of the year, you know, professional player going to do well in this World Series stuff. I mean, they really did just rise to the occasion. You know, a woman winning, it's always always great when that can happen because then it just opens up the field to more women saying, hey, I think I can do this too and getting them out there to play and that's a great thing. Some of these other names I didn't really recognize, but they had multiple bracelets. Again, this week, everybody who want to bracelet seem to have wondered fourth bracelet. It's crazy. And I haven't heard telling you squawking about the player of the year. Here at the end, I'm sure he probably was somewhere. But it's interesting because he talked about when he had his first meltdown over here and it should reward final tables over anything else. So we've got to look at now we kind of know some of the stats, right? So aria made four final tables, he made 7, but aria had two bracelets he only had one, so I don't know. I mean, 11 cashes and ten companies had ten. So, you know, I think between those two, I think we're really splitting hairs now. Would have been interesting if Negro would have cast a couple more times 18 cashes had more than almost as much of those two guys combined. Had he had a couple more cashes and actually been the player of the year and I'm not looking for a appointment to the college football playoff selection committee here by saying it, but I would have a hard time stop eating a player of the year that didn't win a bracelet. They're gonna call us later in life. Okay fair enough. But for the sake of frequency and balance we also do have to bet some of our jack tents on this one. I think we need to have some bluffs here right. Yeah maybe maybe we don't have any clubs. Maybe if we had one club then it's a much better because we block some of the continuing range. That's better i think. Also we're gonna to clubs a lot here like a lot time. I think is gonna check and we made us take. We may just fire away with any with all of our range. That jesse could see third-best type of card after a king adduce yeah and then the clubs is really the next best card pretty beautiful. He's now chopping some of the things that were beating him. We're going to do and how it relates to discord. While i look up who was equi. Winds final table shore so first of all. This is now becoming sort of business as usual with the poker guys where we are just doing our normal analysis. We now have a team of solver guys. Who are part of this podcast. Two different guys who are contributing and the way we do it. Is we do all the analysis blind to the solver results and the solver analysis. But we send it off to one of our two guys in this case. It's wesley cannon. I believe who's done a great job so far and this is the wesley so yeah we sent him off the hand and all the details of it we do the analysis without having read his report on it and then once we finished with the analysis actually gonna pause the recording really has to say and then come right back so it'll be like one second and then tell you what the solver has to say and react to it. Yes and how does this relate to discord well. We're decided to build a more of a poker guys community.
