He appeared in Oakland with the leaders of the State Budget Office is in both the Assembly and the state Senate here today asking for $600 checks for all California families that are making $75,000 a year or less direct renter relief at 100%. Not the 80% is our proposal, and we would allow for that 100% to be retro active to cover those that have already received the 80% assistance and providing $2 billion for gas and electricity. And for water governor saying when combined with the previous $600 checks that were sent to those making less than $30,000. In terms of restaurants, he says they will likely keep the patios. They added. We've been working with city along with others to make a lot of those changes permanent. We have found that it makes it really a vibrant area and you know it used to be probably some of the restaurants and other businesses that didn't want their parking spaces taken, and now they're fine with it. So if they can open up even wider and start making up for lost business, he says, it doesn't matter where San Diego is In terms of metrics. "I'm Jack Cronin. As California continues its reopening, See roll That's making the transition from a zoo to a theme park in San Diego, opening its rides on Monday, 25% capacity in the Orange tear, and in just nine weeks starting June 15th full capacity. Maryland Hannis is the park president. A Seaworld roll rides are back. So starting Monday, April 12th. We are opening rides and we are Back as a theme park. If you could have heard our group here when we got word that we could reopen is the theme park. There was a lot of Hooton holler and everybody was very, very excited. We can't wait to hear the excitement of the rides in the park again. We're already testing today, so the tracks were going around. We're getting ready to go for Monday. So it's gonna be a great great development after a very long years. You all know of theme parks being closed in California and you know we're super lucky. We're also an accredited. You. We provide world class animal care. So we've been able to open as a zoo for some time now. But the development of being able to open up more for the guests is great. Our past members and visitors alike just really are excited to be able to start writing writes again and for you guys. It's increased capacity as well. We're heading toward June 15th, which is the full reopening in California. But even between now and then, with the orange hair, you have increased capacity. So fortunate that you know, we got to the orange here because The challenge for theme parks on the red tears. We would have been at 15% capacity, which is very, very challenging for places like Seaworld. So with the orange sure we can now do 25% of capacity, which helps a lot. We have all the safety measures in place. You know, we've been operating that way as a zoo, and now we've got new safety measures in place. So if you were standing line on right, for example, you would see Plexi glass barriers in between the lines and you would see where you should stand. So we've implemented a lot of that as well and will be, you know. Definitely ready to go. But that 25% helps a lot no more on the challenge side. The new regulation is that we should have guests from California. Only so if you go on our website today, you'll see that you need to make sure that you're a California resident before you're buying tickets. I hope that doesn't last too long because, of course, San Diego loves all of our visitors from you know, Las Vegas and Phoenix and all around the country and, of course internationally to which may take longer to come back. So that's one of the curve balls is just California only for the near future, but You know California's a great place and we have great weather and great cities Very close by. So we certainly welcome all of our l. A friends down in Orange County as well, Of course, Sandy agents to come out right, right. That is true. So those travel restrictions are in place for the next nine weeks until California fully reopens on June 15th so little bit of a break for those here in California and Southern California, But everybody wide open June 15th no travel restrictions. The big news, Obviously that you're making that transition from being a zoo to now being a theme park in opening the ride's coming up Monday think the easiest thing for people understand is the ride, but it's also things like the Sesame Street Day of play gives us a lot more things for little ones to Diogo. It's opening up more parts of the park. But it also opens up all the options of like, what type of entertainment we'd like to have, and a whole bunch of different things. So you know, we're right in the middle of seventies, which is our annual food festival. That's a crowd favorite. It's my favorite year. So far, the food's really, really yummy. There's 125 things to try. So that's a local favorite, too. So now you could come out and have a cocktail. You can ride a roller coaster. Try some food, and that goes Friday, Saturday Sunday through May 2nd. So it's just really a good and exciting development. And you know these things happen fast, right? You know, you're thinking it's going to be the summer before anything happens and all the sudden here we are with to cheer changes in the recent past that allow us to do all this. That's a great point. People may not realize just you know how we are in the tiered system. Capacity in the red versus the orange where we are now for the next nine weeks, the zoo versus the theme park Capacities. The full reopening on June 15th. The bottom line is that Seaworld is back. Its back is a theme park that starts on Monday. The rides were going again and while it has been open as a zoo for a long period of time now, during the pandemic, its back is a theme park. It is back so we'll continue to operate as a zoo through the weekend. You know, it's right the middle of spring break, and we have a lot of visitors that had already Purchased tickets. So we're just going to make a clean switch over on Monday and be a theme park on Monday, and that will be every day. So starting Monday, it'll be a theme park every day, so you'll be able to ride the rides and it'll shift over Monday. So you know, we were welcoming all the visitors that we've been welcoming through the weekend and certainly will wanted to honor the rest of spring break, and then we'll just make our change and we're gonna go for it. And of course, we look forward to future tears. Now they're already starting to announce. As you pointed out, you know the future tears and maybe going beyond the blueprint for California and getting back to a little bit more normal fee, So I'm excited that we believe we're gonna have an amazing summer. That's more normal. I think probably masks will still be around if I had to guess, But I think a lot of the other regulations that we have will be much more normal, much more similar to a normal year to Seaworld Park president They're opening their rides Mondays. They make the transition from Massoud with theme park under California's new Reopening guidelines. Jack Cronin Coca News. The dome. I'll report Remember Hashtag believe all.

Good to have you back by the way, Jack corn, And have you ever seen you have you ever day traded if you invested in single stocks, or then participated in any of that at all? No. And you know, I'm not much of a gambler, but so so that stuff is hard. You know, I'm much more of the passive investor than I am any of these, But there is some crazy unintended consequences. Crazy, unintended consequences. But the software that's out there now and the algorithms make. It's very, very simple. To do this, and I was talking to Sally earlier today about the pandemic and the amount of people who have opened up accounts on platforms like finger swim and You know, in Robin Hood's, It's exploded. So a lot of people using their spare time saying, all right, I'll let me let me see if I can't make 200 bucks here. 200 bucks there. I remember back in 2000 and seven or eight when the real estate market Was really, really flat. And my wife is a real estate broker, and she took a class and this was happening across the industry. All these agents and brokers were sitting around, you know, houses weren't for sale were no. There was no buyer, so they were all day trading during the day to see if they could Make a little bit of money on duh. I didn't do it, but she did it. I watched. You know the way they do it, And it's just a matter of following Green Arrow's going up and read our arrows going down and you put the money in account. And then you make you you make a Make some money. 203 103 $100 at a time it Zerlina out something for the faint of heart so not something I can do, But people do do it. And now I guess they are. Hundreds of thousands of Maura these individuals doing this, and they're connecting with each other on social media sites, and you've heard the story that the game's the game stop Credit story. I'm not going to get into A new explanation What buying short is. But suffice to say that large institutional funds on Wall Street were investing in such a way that they made money. Gamestop lost value. Biggest game stop has been losing value because it's a storefront and everybody's buying, get my kids by their Xbox Games online, so they don't go down to the store. So obviously that model is not working for them. So it looked like Gamestop was gonna be around much longer. And so these funds were investing in such a way that as Gamestop slowly edged toward bankruptcy, they would make money on the way down the reddit investors that were all using platforms at home. These thinkers, swim accounts or Robin Hood they were buying. Gamestop. Because they knew that it was going to get cheaper as these hedge funds were driving the price down, so they were buying it low and driving the cost high. So that's the long and the short to use. The business pages terminology of the whole story, but it is so much more So much more than just a, you know, Dating Goliath story of how you know the Wall Street got hosed by a bunch of independent individual investors online fighting back doing something that you know individual investors can't do because they don't have the financial capital to be able to sell short in the millions. It's so much more than that, because Look what happened. I mean, The platform Robin Hood. They stopped people from buying any more stock. They have the power to do that. I understand they have the fiduciary responsibility of not letting you know their clients go broke, but I mean, they literally stopped it. They they stopped the game on Wall Street. This a dojo. Hold that you cannot buy. Gamestop anymore. Changed the rules. In the middle of this Google removed negative reviews of the Robin Hood platform. Google can remove negative reviews. Then they can certainly promote positive reviews. But it's amazing the level of manipulation that went on here. So this is the story in the age of President Trump where the forgotten man is constantly under attack. Private people with private lives in private money. Use social media toe fight Big Wall Street investors When one for a change and whole hell breaks loose. We'll talk about it coming up right now with Lou. The best way to capture is the constant desire to understand the world in the universe or solar system around me, understand a desire and a simple desire to explore and that just kind of lead you to the next death. I was listening to a class online the other day and, well, there's two things to think about their one. I'm listening to classes online because I can't stop learning and start learning about the world around me. And one of the things the person's others. If you set out to come up with what you're gonna do exactly what you're gonna do, You probably never end up doing it. It's the things you find along the way that matter. So for me, how did I get here? Always wanting to explore and I had a passion for understanding, so understanding things and figure out how things work. So that led to Hey, I could understand things better if I know physics and engineering. So let's go do that. And then you know, I saw these jets flying fast, and I said, Wow. I mean, I could actually be in the physics problem, right? I could be going fast experiencing that for myself. Let's go do that. And then I said, You know, I saw there's there's things that could be fixed to make these Jeff better. Let's go on did become an engineer. I get a master's and let's go test these airplanes to make them better. And how do you do that? And so that led to become a test pilot? And, you know, Hey, let's move Humanity Force. I really believe that it's a good idea for us to become a multi planetary species like that is the ultimate like that's a really big step for humanity to make us not just me from one planet, but from two and the way you do that, as you go build the technology to do it, right. And so for me that was like, Hey, I could go work on that as an astronaut looks. Over the moon. Let's figure out how to make stuff work on the moon so that we can ultimately go to the next plan. It's incredible that sense of curiosity that's brought you to this moment here as we look greater now with the program. The other 17 astronauts that are with you in Artemus. What is next? They're kind of the overall goals for this program. What do we see for the next several years? You know, people think about going and touching and come back. They think about the first person to go to Mount Everest to go there, Touch it and come back. But they think about maybe the first person I think in the early 19 hundreds made it to the South Pole of the Earth. And came back and wasn't until 50 years later. I think the 1957 we established a permanent presence of the South Pole of the Earth going there, touching and coming back in four different, establishing permanent presence. The technologies to do so. Integrity is worth more of bus in built up, and so if you're younger, you're older. Know that you're not gonna miss it. I grew up seeing that the space shuttle was going to end right that some point, the space shuttle was going to end and I thought I'd miss it right. The last flight of the special I think was in 2009 to 2011 ish. And I thought I'd missed it right, You know, flying the space shuttle through the atmosphere from space. Landing on Earth to be would be amazing. But the cool part about this Artemus program argument is that we all get to be a part of it. Like if you were in elementary school, you can come join me on the moon, and I'll show you. Hey, this is what we've learned over the past 15 20 years Now, I want you to take it a step further as I come to retire because we'll still be there. That's what it's about, right? Nobody's gonna miss this because the whole generational thing that we're building the infrastructure. Go do this and stay and we're bringing in international partners. Country after country is signing up to join artifice and then falling to wrap things up more specifically coming off this amazing goals. What is next? Specifically here? What are the timelines? What are we looking at for the next series of missions? As the program gets underway, we're targeting to be on the moon on the surface and 2024 we're gonna launch humans will make a lap around to go test the hard word out in the next couple of years. But we're looking at targeting to have the first person set foot on the moon again in 2024, USC grad, former Navy test pilots astronauts Matthew Dominic, one of the 18 astronauts, including four from San Diego, who been selected for the artist program. Eventually returning to the moon and going beyond over the next several years. Jack quoting Cuckoo News Co. Goes a long.

Creek Fire forces Christmas Eve evacuations north of San Diego

"Orders now evacuation warnings in the North County for the creek Fire Camp Pendleton, But someone based still not going back home. I'm Jack Cronin in the cocoa newsroom this in Christmas. He was the fire that started last night just before midnight. But can Pendleton force you? Some 7000 evacuations near Fallbrook as well. Those have been changed much of them to evacuation warnings instead of evacuation orders. There is an evacuation points at Fallbrook High School. That's operating is a drive thru service but up at Camp Pendleton, the commander, They're saying that they're still working on back, loading some of the fires, making sure the winds don't shift will do the control burn. They started that off to lose road that will sweep to the north and hopefully burnout that area. Well, neither one of the housing areas is threatened right. Now, Adam an abundance of caution. In other words, we don't know what the winds are going to do. We don't want to put folks in wind shifts and then we've got really bad problems. So that's why we can't do it right now. Let's show Dan Conley is saying that the base housing in the area is still impacted as they work on controlled burns throughout the rest of the area. President
