"But I found Japan similar to a lot of the the lighter weight guys that I chain in the United States. But remember now I'd gone on a tour baba invited me over along the funk said kind of brokered that for me to go over there. And I was with Bruce Brody Superfly Jimmy saw the my only toppers STAN Hansen, but deviancy, and so the style there was the guys that I was with were. For adapting their styles to the styles of the guys in Japan. Right. And I you know to see the guys that I saw in America like Superfly Jimmy Snuka. Turn it up a bit and do his best in Japan against Japanese. Guys was amazing. Probably one of the scariest things that ever seen in my life. Nobody told me this is going to happen. I decide to run shooting pictures, and I turn around, and there's all these thousands and thousands of Japanese fans behind me. And all of a sudden, I hear the dressing room door opens a nest scattering and running in fear and terror, and if stomping all over the place trying to get I felt like I'd still always come out of the freshman Anson Brody swinging the huge chains, and they didn't give him who they will hit or whatever. And I got pushed down and like stomped on by these fans there, I'm telling you, it's like a gun fill a movie second night. I y up for that. I went onto the ring Brody and Japan and got to the ring. But that was absolutely terrifying. But then you had, you know, the the great scientific wrestlers like to the OSCE on the tour, and I used to love the way the ring announced his now DVR sit-in. And is it just it was so different. And yet it's still took place in in four corners. And I loved it, man. I used to watch the same things that you were there in person. But I saw some of the things when Broden answers came out swinging account on end of that Malraux. And is scared shitless, quite frankly as some of the people were in the audience because there's a photo shoot and honor to get to get like running a bowls. There's almost an honor to get lit up by bell. They probably wouldn't give. But and they and Brody enhance and did not give a damn. And I thought, you know, and of course, Brody was a big star wherever he went into world stand. I thought most specifically. Japan he was suited for that. And man when you talk about work at strong style. I mean, those two guys really thrived in that environment. And also have this far as your scientific style who a lot of people enjoy funk when I first started in the business per I thought his style was a little bit more boring. But when I when I started educating myself and became a hand wringing a mechanic, I really appreciated. What door was doing really in Japan. I love doors work over Japan. And it was really looked up to. But he was a guy that the from the famous funk family, and of course, Terry was probably the mo- more well known of the two doors work over there. I he would grind you. He would. I was talking to Rick flair the other day. He said he would kind of always leaned on you entire you out. But I really loved Dory style over there. Oh, yeah. I get you a heat at cherry. Of course, if stance are so different and which in Asia with Dory. He just came back from Japan. He was. In in passenger there, but he still wrestles on his own bang from ocean regularly. And he's still, you know, he's still doing it. And he never stopped. And he's he's still got it. Hey, you mentioned earlier we were talking about buddy Rogers. We live about Jack Brisco because I hear so talk about how bad ass Jack Brisco was, but I really never got a chance to see him work. But anybody in the veterans that I talked to speak with high regard about just gut Jack Brisco when he was the world champion and the ring periods and that check for still I and Stanley west in my mentor before eighth and Hyatt's fulltime..

"Once you lose a series of matches tell us that you lost the time. Title. There's a pickup truck accident that's involved in this two story tell tell so that there's a little bit of controversy about that. Isn't why was scheduled to wrestle Jack Brisco and I had a pickup truck accident. We were moving cattle from across my father's rants down to the creep through it chasing kennel. And I ran a pickup truck right off into the creek and into the steering wheel messed up. My forehand missed of my neck. So I had to cancel out of a match with Jack Brisco, and they were scheduled for Houston, Texas, and nobody knew I was going to. Wind up in a car accident. But I did so that caused problems that I didn't show up in Houston to face, Jack, Brisco and everything was held up. I was unable to wrestling till I went back into rain, and that was scheduled highly rice. And that's where drops the end of the world heavyweight championship to Harley were there. People behind the scenes, we're talking about thirty promoters, thirty companies thought that you worked the drug accidents. Title. You know? I can't change those thirty promoters minds. Joel gone now and everything is new and everything is different. I've had the privilege of traveling and working like you have in Japan and head. I want wanna be sound like I'm bragging, but had huge success success as you know, yourself to. But it was a matter of figuring out a working style that the Japanese people believed in and it was very very hard. Because you go in the ring, and you do your best, and you know, there's total silence. I want you have to realize what I realized right here. The silence is because people are listening. Isn't that because they're disinterested? Yeah. When I go to Japan, and you go to the ring remember thinking my first one ninety one and thinking like do I sunk? Yes. This must be terrible. But then you realize rare watching studying listening appreciating what you're doing there watching every move. And I realized that some of the people I were there as professional wrestlers on the same tours didn't realize and quieter, the people got the more than parents more. "Tina was scheduled to have a long away to title rematch against Rogers who had won the title on may seventeenth nineteen sixty three and forty eight seconds of Madison Square Garden before sellout crowd of more than eighteen thousand fans their disputes as to whether or not Roger suffered a heart attack. That's the story Rogers claimed to many people including myself that he'd suffered the heart attack shortly before the first say Martino match and went to the ring and just got it over with within seconds at Saint Martino has always climbed. The story wasn't true that commission. Doctors would not have allowed him in the ring. If that were the case, did you ever hear this rumor that may be but he had a heart attack? Or did you just assume that was not the case? Well, hate to speak ill of the dead. But I I heard you heard the store. Everybody heard the story back in the time. They're always two camps. That believed that buddy just didn't want to do the job and he wanted to have a legit excuse. And a lot of times back in the day. You would have these underlying stories so that people had an out? So that a guy could have an outdoorsy funk junior had the quote freak accident on the ranch before he was set to drop the belt Jack Brisco eventually dropped it to Harley race because of the accident the buddy Rogers, heart attack scenario. Same thing. I I think that buddy probably fabricated that a little bit. So that he would have a story as to why he was even dropping the championship Bruno at the time. So there was a lot. You know, there was just so much controversy because buddy had been the NWEA champion and Liu says had defeated him for the title. I think in Toronto or wherever the hell that was and then buddy was still being represented as world champion for Vince senior. And now Bruno wins the title. It was a New York play in a lot of rumor in in innuendo and all on all sides back in those days, man, it's like Bruno would probably till his dying breath present that when he won that that he went out and just beat buddy. I went out and just took it from him. We'll work. It was a war. Well, some sorry. But that's just the way it was in those days. It was it was different world. They protected the business at all. Every every way they can the rematch was set for October fourth nineteen sixty three Bruno, and buddy, and it was moved from Addison Square Garden outdoors to Roosevelt stadium in Jersey City because they expected a record setting crowd. And obviously they're doing strong television as well. But just a few weeks shy of the show. It's announced that due to heart problems Rogers has been pulled from the show and now tournament would be held on television to create a new top contender sponsored by ring magazine, and we would see monsoon destroy everyone and less than a minute including the top heel buddy Austin in the finals. So we finally get burn..

"Hey, I want to cover your first world championship December tenth nineteen seventy-five. Jack Brisco now, there's a decision process going on with the commissions, and in particular, the NWEA commissions in w belt did tell us a little bit about that process. Because you know, it wasn't just like, you know, someone says, hey, great of Terry. Funk was was a champion tickets to that process. I think it was at the most right around thirty. Territories. And then you had a board of directors. That's how the champion was determined was by the board of directors was that was back man and then seventies era and Sam mush neck was the president. And then Sam step town and Fritz became the president. And at that time Jack decided, you know, Jack Benny didn't that road every day and everything and and it just wore him out. You know, in the did, that's the way it was, you know, because like myself I did three hundred ten days out of three hundred sixty five. But that's that's a lot, you know. And it's a lot of a lot of going. And I think it's I I'm sure there's some guys in WW's probably hitting close to that themselves. You know, right now, I don't know. But three. Then was a lot of dog on shots. You know? But any hours Briscoe went ahead me, you know, the championship or Warren mount at wore a mall out over period years, and he was ready to get out from underneath it. And so the two finalists where were men Harley, and there was a tie vote on it and Fritz fun, Eric when they had this is a true story, and my brother and Harley. We're great friends at that. And Harley came up through the school hard. No, absolutely. You know that amp -solutely did and has great of a boy. And a smart of a guy I've ever come across. But it came down to the voting and they were six members. I believe it was and principal came down to a tie is gonna make the deciding vote while it went three and three. So then it left all of the pressure on the France. And he said I'd like to have any more comment, and my brother said, my my brother has a college education, and because they wanted to represent people like, you know, like they're somebody don't miss Sam and still been any on what happened at that time. That was the determining factor 'cause Fritz wanted somebody with. College education. And that's why I was picked over Harley, and I don't think arly my brother talked sensitive when I did not I'll tell you. What is I love a boat? Absolutely. And I really do. I love them both guys. And and that that was really it was a tough deal for me. I wanted it wasn't is just one. I was I worth the trouble to go ahead or worth the friendship or where you're wait, a rock and hard place. But you know, you if push comes to shove, I'd rather have the belt that not have it. I mean, if for Minnesota lection process and my personal up against Harley race, I would rather have it than Harley, but the responsibilities go with that Terry. You talked about your travels on the road in the world champion is a lot different than the other guys. I mean, everybody's beaten down road. It is a grind it's physical. It's mental stressful for everybody. But that world shave in many times, he's. Traveling by himself. I mean because he's going to be in different gigs booked in different places. One of the things that I read you used to do when you pass through Dallas, would you? Somebody smart you up to just getting on the tram which circle the airport, and instead of checking until hotel room, you would you would get on the tram and get you, you know, four five six have made hours sleep. Yeah. That's exactly right..

"With you. Our and ask him with us. Ben Livingston right now pulling double duty Jack Brisco Bruce in the shell Howard doing tonight. I never had a bad day. My life had a bad three hours on actually was longer than that. Because it was overtime on Sunday. It felt longer five. It was bad. And the eagles lost. And obviously we we all wanted to win. We understand that there's problems and there's issues and we talk about those. But it's a Dallas thinking Cowboys won that game. And they are not that good. I don't care. So so for Sunday for three hours in what was it thirty minutes? Whatever that football game was ninety nine -fensive place to watch that overrated. Dak Prescott tried. He tried to give the ball to the eagles over and over and over. I know it's just it's such a joke. Gosh, so many things that you complain about the officials. You can do a lot of things are just so many different. So many different parts of that. But other than that. Yeah. I'm great. Yeah. Well, look, I'm glad you're great. I'm not surprised you are because that's the we always start with. But the eagles aren't and we'll get to the Phillies move today. And what they're doing as we go throughout this hour. But let's start with the eagles. Howard the loss on Sunday effectively ended the season. I look I I know there are scenarios where they're alive in the wild card. It's basically over at this point. It's certainly basically over in the NFC's, but our two days later it's still frustrating because the Cowboys tried to give back the eagles did not play great. You said ninety nine place with the Cowboys eagles had a real chance to win that game. Right. The end they had a real chance to win that game. They didn't play great because the first half. They don't score any points defense up until the end they were guests think about the number of place, and we talked about before the show Corey green played all ninety nine ninety nine is. I think the most in NFL history, it has any one of them highest it, I think it's the most in NFL history. I think I heard that DNA. Nine snaps for Corey who can't run anymore. Okay. And racial Douglas was in for every one of them, and he still tried to make a play at the end. So Brad, I'm in Jenkins. But Michael Bennett, who's got a bad foot a day. I wasn't sure about that guy. He is a tough son of a gun. Yes. Every time. He walks off the field. I look at him when he comes off the field, and he's limping he's playing with a bad foot. Nat lace hard every play twice as many snaps this game as he did the week before Brandon Graham played I think like Eighty-three snaps or something like, I it's just it's unbelie so they had to be gassed. And that's that's part of the problem at the end. But regardless of all that the defense you gotta give him some credit for hanging in there. They held him. What was it nine at the half? Something like I give the defense a lot of credit because they're outmanned. I mean, they have guys out there. I mean, you watch some of the plays there that Amari Cooper is being covered by just someone not in his class. And you're not surprised they made some big place Dallas newest coming. It was a matter of time. Well, not with that Prescott. But the reality is they got a score got score in the first half and get a lead in could've changed officials. I talked to somebody in New York, and they admitted that that was a mistake. The eagles should've had the ball doesn't do any good. Now. It was a joke. It wasn't the official to game in New York in New York the guy head of officials now, what's it? Oh, I had his name this morning. I always forget it was dean blandino did do that job. I could find out what the name, but Reverend Al riverine. He is the he's the guy that made the decision because I I knew the I knew Clete what's his last name Blake Blake me. So we know to say alot enduring a time out the guys are nice enough. Once in a while if I have a question the the land of the question is plenty of time. They're just coming over to get a drink or whatever. And I said I said I was curious about they lose a challenge because there was a fumble says, yeah, they lost a challenge anytime because they didn't win the challenge. And that's the explained in the NFL, which is bogus with the NFL's. Putting out there? They yeah. They do was a fumble. So it's it's it's your responsibility to to not say that will we couldn't get a clear picture the eagles had the football. And that's the way it usually turns out Lewis standing there holding the ball. I love each weeded out the picture of a self phone the bond. What viciously some holding the ball? So anyway, so he told me I said did that decision made. At a New York. He says, yes, we assist, but it's made out of New York. So that's the guy that you gotta be. I think it's a conspiracy. I honestly think it's a conspiracy. Now dean blame Cowboys are against the eagle now for the Cowboys. Cowboys get big big television ratings big television game against the saints two weeks ago is one of the highest rated games in years. Okay. And I really think it's conspiracy three weeks in a row things went big things went for the Cowboys. Wait now, they're they're not gonna lose to Washington. Okay. 'cause Washington sucks, but the next week if Jalen what's Jalen Smith. Linebacker the helmet to helmet hit puts the saints in field goal range. So that's the difference in the game. And then less this play last week, the Dallas her thing was was a joke. But this play it changes the complexion of the game. Now, I'm not saying, that's the reason they lost. But the eagles will score one way or another on that first drive, and it changes the mentality of a frightened Dak Prescott. I think. Just but again, you can't blame the officials. They made a mistake. They now realize they made a mistake. They will not admitted publicly. But like I said I called somebody in New York, and they knew they made a mistake. So, but so there's so many different things you can look at. And that might have given the well I would have given the eagles points in the first half. You can look at the missed extra point the mistakes. Good point. I have a little issue with a missed extra point. And the the celebration in the end center getting a little out of control the the one on Sunday bother me from the eagles because they'd been getting shut down all day. They finally get in the end zone jump. You know, they sit down and they do their celebrate game deli. Okay. And and the Cowboys Kabyles issue they shouldn't have gotten involved. But what that does and think about this? And I'm looking at I'm trying to look at the play clock. And I'm looking at the play clock in the ficials. Don't wait for these guys to clear the field. They'll start to play clock for the extra point when the touchdown a well, not when the touchdown scored. But shortly there when they clean up the place. So now, I'm wondering and Jake would never admit this e would always Jake Elliott with take responsibility. But I'm looking at the clock. And I'm saying, okay, you've got to get it off. You've got to get it. Oh, you think he was rushed? I think in his mind. There's a clock running in his mind admitted it took so much time. You know, you have to get out there. You gotta get set. You gotta get mentally and physically ready, and I think it could have I'm not saying it did because he will never say that. But all that time it took them. You know, every time teams both all teams waving guys get off the field. Well that play clock starting. They're not gonna wait for you to get off to kick the extra point. So that extra point was important as well. So there's so many different things to look at some of them the eagles mistakes some of the eagles thinks it's not a mistake Deva celebrating. But it went on too long because I think a lot of the players said, okay, we scored and they were walking off. And then all Sean Jeffrey is really good guy. And I know it was great that he scored a touchdown waving the guys back to stop get off the field long time game wrong spot because some of that they had a lot of little things go against them in that game. The referees the Dallas Goddard interference ridiculous. I mean, I watched it a million times. There's no offense. It's a joke. I it's just a joke by they lost that game. How the Cowboys want? They lost. I don't believe the first play. The fumble is the reason they lost the game today in a million chance at sixty minutes of football more than that. And they they didn't win. I don't think that's the reason they lost a game. But it could have changed the mentality. I Greg the way you played. The game. It could have changes Carson Wentz to start. Backing if he gets an easy because he Howard the first half that game Carson was bad. He just wasn't good on. He wasn't. He wasn't good enough. No, no. He was he needed to play better from start to finish to win that game. And he didn't know many three and outs. And they only had I didn't realize until Mike grow said today, they only had seventeen offensive plays three and animals every possession now. Wow. That's unbelievable Howard. We I'm sure a lot of time will be spent as we move forward here in this off season time. My Carson the rest of the season, his accuracy and some throws. This year has been really off really off. Some throws have been really good. And sometimes have been really bad. Look. There was one up the silent early in the game to God. Or he just missed them. He had to throw out to the flat where he just missed the guy, and it's just alarming because you watch this guy and what he did last year. We know how good he can being. But this year has not been I don't know what the word is. Is it not consistent enough because I agree with what you said. Sometimes he puts a ball. All on perfectly. And you say there it is. There's Carson Wentz. And the sometimes you just misses three or four and you're like, how did he miss that guy? I and some some throws which receivers should catch. But they're a little behind. You're kind of reaching back as you're coming across the field. But all in all you look at his numbers. And you say, they're okay. His quarterback ratings. Okay. I don't I don't quite understand. Why some of the throws are like the short throws and the bouncing throws. And then sometimes it's just like being right on the money it, I just can't figure it out. But he's obviously not as good not. And they don't score as much mean. That's the bottom line. They just don't score as many points as last year. Now, it's just they don't score as many points and they don't score in the red zone offense or their third down offense. This week was one for nine last year. He was amazing. Like, I think he led the NFL quarterbacks in third and ten plus which are usually hospitable place to convert more than any other quarterback. They made it routinely and this year, they can't do it. Eight eight seven to nine ninety four ninety four that say you hop in our we'll get to a couple of phone calls. We will get through the John D Filipo news and. Thoughts on his potential return or just tell people to stop you pumping. The D Filipo breaks as he was fired by top put on the brakes. And I'll explain all right. Howard will explain that. And we will touch on the Phillies, and what they did today, and what could become and let's talk to Dave in Limerick. What's up, Dave? Hey, hey, guys. I love your show. "Sometimes my Kyun as and by the way that Jerry Lawler are going to be in the Cleveland Saturday afternoon for show hilarity, and he will say d did you think you'd live long enough to see a trilogy of matches as good as or even compared to Okada an omega. And I I there you're they're young young. You know that they're big fan loyalists as cool. I said, well, you know, you may not have been born. But I had three of those nine nineteen eighty nine. I thought pretty good. Oh, Oh, yeah. yeah. I saw you ranked one of those matches six stars. Sixty nine minutes. I do think that's the best match. I've ever seen. But you know, that's my ping. But yeah that match, you know, again, watching it near I watch it with a group of friends, and we were pretty much on you call match matched phenomenal. But yeah, I yeah. I mean, I thought you know, those guys I mean there are there are two guys at the top of their game mesh perfectly and also because of that first match they had at the Tokyo dome being so good. The reality is is that they feel very pressured in matches two three and four because it's the first time where if you go in there, and you have a really good match people are gonna go the first one. So they had to. Each match try to top the previous match and physically it was. It's pretty much impossible to top it by doing death defying moves. And I mean, they did they did one or two things in every match where I was kinda scared. But it wasn't like a whole match those things, you know, it was more of a mental match the physical match, although physically those guys are great. But you know, you could see story and what what I liked in match four which was the last one. They had was there's little bits of the story. If you watched it's almost like watching a movie sequel, but if you watched the first three movies, you know, you're going to get stuff to maybe somebody who is just watching the first the one match isn't going to get an it really was each each match was progression of the story from the previous match. And so I do think it's one of the I mean, I think it's one of the legendary rival it up there with those legendary rivalries at each year has flourished boat had it, you know, you remember, Jack Brisco and Dory funk junior. When we were it was like nothing could top that. Like the two the two masters of doing the sixty minute match. And you know, and again saying that these guys are great is is not a knock on guys from previous generations that were the top guys in those generations. But you know, there's a lot of you know, I mean, they're very, you know, these guys work very, very hard to and think a lot on like, you know, how do I how do we improve? They show what day show planned they show for the plan and their unselfish, and they're both excellent athletically accomplish dudes talking about Okada and mega and they understand crowd psychology. Very very well of those guys wrestle kingdom coming up in January. I hear the advance is good..

"Eight would have been eighty nine. I went to a wrestling match in Fort Worth one time when we're dentist, construction work. I was going to college working for Yossi iron medal of Muskogee. Down there, getting airplane parts of salvageable parts metal and things. So we went to wrestling matches and they had a big loser, leave town match that night. We got there early. For it was luck the clamp. It's just going to. We've got to win the cement pond for awhile and went over to the wrestling crashland. And so I remember the matches at Bob Morton in on. He may have been wearing masks, I'm not sure remember he was in it because. He lost the luge leave town match. And as we were leaving. Good, our car. We saw him in the back area getting into a vehicle that had a U-Haul trailer attached to it. So somehow some way he had a permission that he might not get his hand raise that night. Good night, fun threats matches. You know, fifty cent beer last former tough enough contestant and Lucia, undergrounds he release fill is she's all time favorites. I think she's a an untapped ju. Ricky Morton one half the rock and roll express hall of Famer sixty two years old, still wrestling and one of the great baby faces all time and nobody could sell until a store of their face and her body English better than Ricky Morton. He in steamboat Rick. Steamboat were in a league of their own and the guys today, we're just simply look and see how they sell and they sell them levels. They sell them degrees. They might get the selling thing down little bit better, I think might be wrong. I think too many young wrestlers believe that selling is a sign of weakness. In their character. Session by saying, I wouldn't mind doing it, but my character wouldn't do it. And also on Friday, the late Jack Brisco would have been seventy seven. I can tell you this conclusively, at least in my mind's eye. In the history of pro wrestling? No, amateur, that was a great, amateur, Jack, was a great, amateur. He was national champion at Oklahoma state became a better pro than Jack Brisco from the amateurs and going transitioning into the pros. He was the best and I just have so much respect from. I did a when my heart's refereeing career was in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and I refereed a sixty minute draw between Danny Hodge, Oklahoma university, and Jack Brisco Oklahoma state, and they had fun in that match and it wasn't all wouldn't about away. It was really good wrestling. And so two very special athletes my life about got to do that. So sure what's Jack still around Godangoda BI. He's a man's man boy on Saturday. Bob. Before four Lutherans, forty, seven and the lovely congenial only Anderson will be seventy six. I wish only many more birthdays he's been dealt kind of that ham the s. and he still got that spirit. Man, he's a, he's a classic holy Anderson seventy six on Saturday at Birkdale a main it on Sunday, Matt, Harvey, forty, four. A father will next will also still be forty four. That's neither here there. So mess. Forty, four, they say is going to come WW, producer, heavenly out, matches and produce matches, and things of that nature should help each other. He's being added to the coaching staff are. So we are led to believe, if so, it's a good move. Both of the former w tag team of the heartthrobs were born on this day Antonio, forty, two. There's some Sunday and Romeo thirty eight. And by the way Romeo was once a WWE allow any turn never know where it's going to go, right? He was also Yankees manager, Joe Girardi personal trainer. "I didn't wanna be jed clampett you know, illegitimate cousin, so practice on my name. I did it for years. Kit, not having a clue go, but does deal was definitely he news going to be a star and a star has to have a great signature if you will. Giddy I don't know if you guys heard getting omega, say, if you will last night in the Ray, he really committed to. Because we didn't have anything at the end of the night. One of one of my favorite things was the whole reason. This came about some of you heard this idea for. I think we can do a bigger show. The bigger bigger building just came from doing twelve hundred nine hundred seat stage as small, intimate settings and what was happening at the end of every night. Everyone was staying in. Nobody was leaving. So we would do just bits and comedy and something to send them home happy, and it became a big focus like, yeah, yeah, that's great last segment, but how are we sending them home? Happy. And that was such a touching thing last night to see. Ten thousand four hundred fifty. One people happy and then staying in the arena. Just really it just I opening perhaps what we can do now, what's the future in your view, other sitting your hands, literally the end of you title. What's the short term goal for the organization? You know, Billy's done a great job of bringing life to this brought it back. And I think that's great because this is not easy to re- to re generate something that was really hot at one time. And then all of a sudden, what are that innovate title thing. It used to be. That was that was everybody. If you're a wrestling fan when I was a kid and a lot, a lot of your kids that are younger, that was the deal that was that champion travel the world that champion went to all the territories. It wasn't a regional territory lack. The w. w. w. title and I'm not belittling Bruno whatsoever. I love Bruno recipes. Had more people is on as honorable as him in it today, but what's the future? This Cody. What? What are you going? What do you want to do with it? Well, I want to. Continue the path of the traveling champion. That's kind of what I grew up on the type of wrestling. I liked even though it's a generation prior to me when I go back and look at, you know what flavor was able to do. Jack Brisco is able to do their date book alone and not just did it, but I did it and it was the best thing the night. Like I did it with consistency, but I have a rub some people the wrong way, and that's fine. I think most people enjoy it. I don't really believe in the politics of wrestling anymore. I, I understand if this isn't your company's title, but if you're asking me to come wrestle for your company, I'm wearing the damn title. There's no. Right. It's. I, it's, it takes an organization. It does to facilitate and get that ring setup, and it takes a crew to tied those ropes. But we a big focus last night. It was like, this is a wrestling show by wrestlers. And yeah, there's some things we learned from from a company standpoint organizational standpoint, but that's how I go in everything I do when I go into Long Beach. To Russell Jews Robinson for the GP United States heavyweight championship. I'll be wearing this too. I'm taking it everywhere. I go and. I'm excited to do that. I'm looking forward to that Long Beach. If Bo glad you brought it up. I think it's going to be..

"Read the storyline does big Camille. So you know, I, regardless of whether whether you know the fact that Cody I wanna make dream proud as well. You know, I wanna on his legacy and on the RIC flair and Terry funk, and you know, Jack Brisco, Dory, funk. Like I take that very seriously, you know? And and so when when I mentioned in that list of names with it's, it's off to me, I feel like I deserve it yet, but I'll I'm gonna do my damnedest to make sure that I do I do with that group of guys, you know, by the time send you wanna be an position Nick or you know, if if you don't go on last, you want to attitude. I used to kid Eddie Guerrero bet this. He had the open a pay per view. One time he was irate. It came to me on the head of talent and trying to made explained. He wanted me to explain him while he was opening the show. And I said, vincit philosophy now is open with a hot match. The kind of sets the tone the, oh days, starting slower paced match. Or something more deliberately presented and then building to a crescendo have have left us with rightly or wrongly. I'm not saying it's wrong or right. It's just not as prevalent. So you know the he one of make sure that you if you go on somebody falling that they can't follow this too good to follow. And but I, I really believe that you guys have got a great story. I, I'm excited about the pay per view aspect of it on the fight to have, you know, health launch defied that back in the day and is great app free folks. If you got WI fi and the f. and why fi you can watch so much wrestling and ima as uncanny, but the but the all in will be on the fight app. You see everything, and I would certainly encourage you to check that out and Nick, I bought, can't let you leave that. Tell me how how you how your lovely bride is doing NICKY James. One of my fair girls of all time. She, she's, she's great. I actually just I just picked up near what she was. She had to go down to a Landau to do to shoot photo doing all the issues and stuff like that for the the women's pay per view and all that stuff. She's, you know, obviously she's very, very grateful to, you know, to get another by the apple, you know her and to be there with all these and I am too, and, and I'm very proud of our obviously, you know, she's I believe that she'll go down as one of the great civil time, and it's it's another way it puts healthy pressure on me, you know, because you know, she's, yeah, I think that she's, I think she's one of the best women's ever laced up and, and so you know, I've got, I've got to stick to a high standard around here. You know. I said this for a long time. She's one of the best females we ever hired in any era. I was proud to higher. I place she, she always worked hard. She's smart and she has gotten herself for a mom of young son and trying to be a working mom. You know, she's gone the roads, she's traveling. She's got herself in great shape, which is just great. Nothing, dedication, focus and attention. You've got access to a published author, you know home the sixth stop buddy dot com. Be that be that as it may Jim? Yeah, it's it's we, we took great pride or not. And you know she, she has. She has always worked very hard and you know, we, we never looked when when she pregnant, you know, we, we went right to work. You know, we, we read a lot and we did. You know that that's how I'm wired as far as like the body is concerned. We right from the beginning just I should've went, okay. This is what we do, how we approach everything. 'cause she was obviously concerned about losing body, you know, and and you know, genetically, you know, she that in on her side of the family and she was when she was very concerned about it and I and we, we just like everything..

"Just a year after Tom Warner was allegedly trying to sell the company for six hundred million dollars. So when you find out that this is not going to happen, and I mean, even when fusion had supposedly a bid in there for like five point, seven million dollars down and then two point one, five million dollars per year in payments over twenty years. So it's a significant up front and then millions of dollars a year, a long, long time. And then you find out that's off the table and Vince McMahon has bought it. What's the reaction amongst longtime employees? Is it all around a sigh of relief? What do you remember. It really, I think there was some confusion as to what the hell are you going to do with it? And it was viewed by some people is dead brand, but listening, you know, she got into listening through what the hell was going on and hearing all of these astronomical numbers invents will Scoffing at those inflated numbers the whole time going, they hell's at work. You know, it's it's not worth fifty million dollars. It's not worth twenty million dollars. It's not worth ten million dollars. So is you as you go through that? Vince had very clearly what he was looking for. He, he was looking for that library and he was looking for assets and then think that there were a whole hell of a lot of assets at WCW, but felt that really their only alternative was to sell to us in to sell their their library and some of the rings and what have you want a whole lot to sell. So let's talk about the actual amount of money that's been rumored that Vince McMahon Bosnia for. But before we do that because I know you've got a great anecdote from this past weekend when mcdevitt dropped a lot on us, I'll never forget. But I do want to ask about the end of two thousand because it makes the dirt sheets that Vince McMahon was close divine WCW at the end of two thousand, not March of two thousand one, but the end of two thousand. Do you remember his him? You know that even coming up in any of the meetings, or is this something he was playing close to the best at the end of two thousand? No, we were talking about it and dense when WCW announced and was fishing out there that they were looking to sell. There was always a guy. His last name escapes me, but Stu was gentleman that was our CEO and Stu hit worked at TBS and he had worked for the Turner organization before coming to work for us. So he had a relationship and he was doing he's the one that put the deal together. He's the one that was talking to the folks at WCW and yeah. I mean when as soon as it was up for sale, Vince we all knew that he was interested in. It was thinking about. Purchasing whether or not the whole company or just, you know, different parts of it. Let's talk a little bit about the amount because when the deal actually closes the rumor and innuendo is that Vince paid somewhere in the range of two million dollars for WCW and all of its intellectual property and all of the video tape library. And what I found so fun about our visit with mcdevitt this past weekend is when someone brought up, he that he was sort of the the guy who had the idea. Why don't you just make another razor in diesel which was the Genesis of fake razor fake diesel and it was all born out of you guys suing WCW that, hey, Scott hall, and Kevin Nash are in here, you know, sort of pretend portraying themselves as working for us and you guys landed a run sheet and they're actually listed on the road sheet, the format for the television show as razor in diesel. So in the end years later, Turner has to write a check for like two million dollars. The. Title this case with Vincent man and Jerry whipped. And then later we use that money to buy the company. Exactly how great is that? Yatta love it. Well, you know, it's. It's just Justice in the end. I remember when Vince sold, you know, he purchased Georgia championship wrestling. He got control in that by getting Jerry Jack Brisco to sell him, their stock, he gained control that was black Saturday. And everybody went nuts when the WWF product was on TBS and the five o..
