Catherine Engelbrecht: Lessons Learned From True the Vote, 2000 Mules

"Look, I mean, I think it was congressman Sheila Jackson Lee's district. We call it Shirley. And there was like an empty lot, folks. You got to check this out. There's an empty dirt lot. And Catherine calls. She's guess what we found. It was true to vote back then. We got over 40 people who are registered to vote at an empty dirt lot. Do you remember that? Oh, yeah. That was one of our very first research projects and the way it went was when we started through the vote, it was just a very small group that said, you know what? We need volunteers who are not enough volunteers to work at the polls and we're all looking for some way to sort of check that good citizenship box. So let's go do that. And when we did that, we saw problems related to process. Some of those problems were focused, most of the problems were focused on inaccuracies in a poll book. And that led to the question of, well, how does bad data get into the poll book? What kind of controls and maintenance measures are being taken, which roll back to how our voters being registered, which got to these MP lots and people being registered at Jack in the boxes and, you know, fans in the dresses and so forth and so on. And that really started this, you know, now decade plus kind of sojourn and crusade for better process and really the heart of the movie is really meant to highlight the breakdown of process and breakdown of integrity in our elections. We have been pushed into a corner where voter ID is claimed to be racist. You know, we need to be able to vote for a month before election. Oh, just go down the list. And then you introduce these drop boxes. So our hope was to highlight just how broken it is all becomes and then find our way

Jack Posobiec Joins Andrew to Dissect This Disastrous Ukraine Aid Bill

"We just got through with Ukraine, a man who has a lot of thoughts on Ukraine. I'm sure, is Jack besovic, human events daily, Jack welcome back to the Charlie Kirk show. Andrew, thank you so much for having me on. Jack, I sort of teased you in a false way there because we can get to Ukraine. And maybe we'll get that in segment too, because I know. We can talk about the America last spending bill that was just pushed forward by 70%. 70%, 149 of two 11 in the house GOP voted for this thing. The last launch into it. Launch into give me your take. Well, I don't usually quote Tupac, but I might have to drop a few bars because Tupac, I think, famously said, you know, they got money for wars, but they can't feed the poor, right? And we're in that situation right now where literally I've got friends with newborns that newborns or babies, and they can't find baby formula. They're like, you got grandma's circling, you know, hitting up targets and walmarts across the Midwest across Pennsylvania. And we can't feed our own children. We can't prevent incursions on our own southern border. But we're going to spend 40 billion of your dollars and send it overseas to a war in Eurasia where there is no American direct national interest. That's your government. Right. That's exactly right. That's a miracle last. And it's a bipartisan consensus, which is the most infuriating

Why the Bipartisan Support of Biden's $40B Ukraine Aid Package?

"Is the argument in Ukraine beyond the $14 billion that we had already earmarked? There seems to be this bipartisan consensus that this is the way that things must go. To illustrate that point, I want to play a cut for you 71. This is Mitch McConnell saying that this Ukrainian conflict is the most important issue in the world right now. Play cuts of anyone. All agree the most important thing going on in the world right now is the war in Ukraine. We need to do this Ukraine only. And quickly. I think we're on the path to getting that done. Discussions are underway between the House and Senate appropriators on the crafting of the package. It means to be clean of extraneous matters directly related to helping the Ukrainians win the war. This bipartisan consensus could care less about your interests to care less about a baby formula shortage could care less about inflation that spiraling out of control still despite the Biden regime insisting that it's slowing. We've hit another record high gas price today. Average is now at four 40 across the country. So you heard from the Republican establishment, Mitch McConnell talking about how it's the most important issue. What does Pelosi have to say? What are the Democrats have to say? Cut 74. The impact that it is having on food for the world. So when you're home thinking, what is this all about just think about when I was hungry? You fed me. Yeah, that's right. So she's quoting the gospel of Matthew to make a pitch for at least from what we can dig through in these numbers. $20 billion more going into the pockets of the defense industry. Now, again, this is causing such a draw on military stockpiles for the United States military, such as javelins, warheads, that sort of thing, that they're now having to lobby, the regime is having to lobby the defense industry to create more capacity.

Unpacking the $40 Billion Bipartisan Betrayal

"Going to simply get started by allowing representative chip Roy to articulate some of the frustration that I am currently in possessive possession of. I think I've voiced the concerns of millions of Americans when we see a number as high as 40. Now remember, Biden wanted 33 billion. Which was insane in and of itself. And I'm going to explain just how insane that is in a second. But let's let chip Roy take it from here. Let's cut 76. Paul and for Maryland talked about protecting this institution or talked about this institution, but we got a $40 billion bill at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I haven't had a chance to review the bill my staff is pouring over the pages, trying to see what's in it. You want to talk about the institution. You want to talk about standing up alongside Ukraine. Why don't we actually have a debate on the floor of the people's house instead of the garbage of getting a $40 billion bill at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Not paid for without having any idea what's really in it with a massive slush fund that goes to the State Department, $13 billion, 8 billion for the economic support fund, a 110 million for embassy security. We've got 40 billion that is unpaid for and you want to sit here and lecture this body about what we're going to do or not do about staying alongside Ukraine. Why don't we talk about the American people who are hurting the wide open borders that inflation that's killing people. The jobs that people can't get because of the cost of goods and services in this country. Amen. So let's go through this. February 26th, Biden approves $350 million in military aid for Ukraine according to Reuters. March 16th, Biden approves an additional $800 million in military aid for Ukraine. According to The New York Times. March 30th, Ukraine to receive an additional $500 million in aid from the U.S.. Biden announces its NBC News. April 12th, U.S. to announce $750 million more in weapons for Ukraine officials say. According to Reuters, may 6th, Biden announces new $150 million weapons package for Ukraine. Altogether those amounts are in excess of $3 billion.

Dinesh Reveals Why Elon Musk Is Giving the Left Panic Attacks

"I want to talk about Elon Musk and Twitter and I speak about this with someone who has an almost vested stake in this because quite honestly, the great traction behind our movie is in part being driven by Twitter. I don't mean the Twitter I was pushing, and I mean the fact that there's free speech or something closely approximating free speech, this is how we can talk openly about topics and quite honestly we can't talk about the same topics on a number of the other platforms. And but you'd be like YouTube. And Facebook. Yeah, I mean, those platforms have become a joke. I mean, we're still on them, at least for now, Debbie's like, who knows how long we're going to be on those platforms. We don't know and quite honestly, at the end of the day, we don't care. But let's come back to Elon Musk because his vision for Twitter. And he's going to be in the saddle very shortly. It's really important. I find it kind of funny, by the way, that he's been kind of whipping Jack Dorsey into shape because Jack Dorsey was kind of like the big tough guy that John Travolta character and calling the marching orders. And now Jack Dorsey appears to be like Elon Musk's sidekick. He's like tonto and Elon Musk is like the lone ranger. And so Jack Dorsey now says things like, no, no, no. We can't permanently bound anyone from Twitter. Wasn't I'm the Jack Dorsey that Trump got permanently banned. So now that Elon Musk goes no prominent bands, Jack Dorsey is no point in bands. It's kind of fun to watch. I mean, it's like watching a bully who's been reduced to groveling because another bigger guy has

Sen. Rand Paul Unsure if Trump Would Return to Twitter

"Elon Musk confirming yesterday that if and when he gets control of Twitter, he's going to welcome Trump back to Twitter. Oh, look at this. Jack Dorsey, now a supports Trump returning to Twitter. The ACLU supports reinstating Donald Trump. Where were all those folks for the last two years, senator? All I can say is, you know, I've been threatening and threatening to quit Twitter and I quit YouTube because they censor me, but I haven't quit Twitter. But if Elon Musk takes over, it gets rid of the sensors, I love his irreverent sarcasm and he's actually just playing funny a lot of the times. And actually, I don't even know his politics. I think he may have a libertarian street tumor, I don't think he's either conservative or liberal. I think he's probably a mixture of a lot of different beliefs that the younger generation believes him. But it might not always agree with, but my goodness, do I agree with freedom of speech without question? I think he's going to make it a fun place again. But you know what? I doubt Trump will come back, you know, he's in a direct competitor now. He's got a bunch of money invested in this true social. So I would be very surprised if he came back to Twitter.

Elon Musk Says He Would Lift Twitter Ban on Donald Trump

"Elon Musk yesterday said that once he gains control of Twitter, Trump will be welcomed back on Twitter. Trump is 58 and one in Republican primary contests. What do you think he'd be doing if he was back on Twitter? I don't even know if he wants to go back to Twitter. He says he doesn't. He's trying to boost truth social and he says that's where he will be, but listen to what Elon Musk, who now is about to own Twitter, told a reporter who asked the inevitable question about the 45th president of the United States. Are you planning to let Donald Trump back on? I think there's a general question of should was it Twitter have permanent bans? And I've talked with Jack Dorsey about this and he and I are of the same mind, which is that permanent advance should be extremely rare and really reserved for people where they're trying to for accounts that are once or spam scam accounts. Where there's just no legitimacy to the account at all. I do think that it was not correct. To ban Donald Trump, I think that was a mistake. Because an alienated a large part of the country and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice. He is now going to be on truth social as will a large part of the right in the United States. This guy sounds very analytical and of course very smart.

The Constitutional Process for Validating an Election

"Here's an article from Jack maskell. This is published by the congressional research service. He's one of their legislative attorneys. And he talks about the constitutional process for validating an election. And he says, you know, something we kind of already know, there are electors, the electors vote. Under certain procedures, there are some provisions for objecting, but once the electors have voted, then both houses of Congress in a sense ratify a joint session ratifies that vote and the president is installed. And the article kind of stops there and stops there for the simple reason that the constitution does not envision a kind of big what if. And the what if is, what if it comes out later? That this victory at the ballot box was achieved through coordinated and massive electoral fraud. What happens in that case? What is the constitution say about that? And the answer is the constitution doesn't say anything about it. Now, interestingly, there are a line of court cases that deal with the issue of fraud, typically in local and state elections this by the way has never happened, at least on this alleged scale in the presidential election. And in general what courts do is they use something called the butt for principle. What's the budget for principle? It basically status question. But for the fraud. Would the result be the same yes or no? And I think I've been trying to apply that principle. In fact, we apply it in a very sort of thoughtful and systematic way in the movie. And there were just not simply a matter of dallying things up and going, well, this is the kind of overall, because of course elections are decided by electoral votes in each

Who Is YouTuber Sydney Watson?

"Look, for those who aren't familiar, this woman, why aren't you familiar with her? She's got almost 800,000 followers on YouTube, Sydney Watson with a wire. You've got to follow her on Twitter as well. But for those crazy people who've been under a rock for a couple of years, I've known you for a couple of years, very impressed with what you do. Tell us in a nutshell, just give us the elevator pitch. What do you do and where do you come from? Sydney? Well, people are seemingly unfamiliar with the fact that I am actually Australian despite my bizarre accent, which I am trying to get back just by the way. I want to sound more like you said than the yanks that are around us. So I'm Australian originally from Australia and YouTube the United States in 2019 to basically pursue politics because Australians are by and large pretty disinterested in politics and kind of just found myself drawn into. I guess a bunch of drama in the last little while with the situation that you're referring to, which was getting screened out effectively by Jack Murphy is a real estate his name on the show is he is. I was going to mention it, but I'm so glad that you decided to mention it first because Jack Murphy is an embarrassment to anybody who has testicles. I'm not sure he does anymore, but we will discuss that. So you left at the antipodes, you came here to be involved in politics. You wanted to speak like me, which I'm sorry most people think I have a South African accent that really annoys me. But what have you been doing for the last three years? And how have you been surviving COVID and tell people about what you do? Because your comment, you are like the long form version as far as I'm concerned, of libs of TikTok and you're not anonymous. Your brave woman who has these amazing films where you react to the insanity of the left. Am I misrepresenting you? Tell us, tell us your mission. We've got 3 million listeners plus the viewers. What is Sydney Watson about? Well, that is a fantastic question. I guess growing up by a bunch of penal colony kind of made me realize that freedom is really important. And I actually have my mom to thank for that viewpoint because she's from Ohio originally and she is just this badass gung Ho woman that really, really cares about preserving what we have in the west and I think that's awesome. And so growing up in that environment, of course I was like, well, I hate people. So what is the easiest thing that I can do that revolves not really revolves around not really interacting with them too much and journalism kind of came to the forefront. And so when I moved to America, I really wanted to pursue being able to bring ideas to people that they might not otherwise have access to in like a fuller

Jenna Ellis: 'It's a Great Day for Free Speech'

"Yesterday, Elon Musk bought Twitter. That sounds like a joke. It's like a Babylon bee headline. Elon Musk zillionaire bought Twitter for 67 gazillion dollars. Do you have any thoughts on that today the day after this happened? Because I find myself feeling generally like, hey, that's a great thing. But there's a I just have a lot of questions about it. I just wondered if you had any ideas about it. Oh, it's a great day for free speech, and it is absolutely a great thing. And I think ironically, you mentioned Babylon B and that seemed to be the catalyst when the Babylon be the satire site was suspended on Twitter. Elon Musk, of course, had done that interview with about one B loves all of their work and started talking to Seth Dillon, who's the CEO. And actually had a conversation with him saying, should I offer to buy Twitter? I mean, this is ridiculous. And so what the left is melting down over in people who are so concerned that somehow billionaire Elon Musk is owning Twitter when they didn't really care that Jack Dorsey was running Twitter, then what they're concerned about is that Elon Musk has openly said that he is a free speech absolutist and that he hopes that people who disagree with him will stay on the platform because that's what free speech means. So I think this is a watershed moment in American history because we have not only the government that's forbidden by the constitution to infringe on constitutionally protected speech and free speech. But we've seen that the tech oligarchs have gotten around that and private companies have censored public forums and with Elon Musk saying I'm going to buy one of the top 5 platforms V top platform for political speech. This is going to revolutionize what we can actually discuss and debate

"This is really something this next story I appreciate this, you know? I had kind of written Jack Dorsey off, but lately he's become a little bit more entertaining and perhaps a little bit more authentic. There are some pretty strong words, tweets, thoughts, from Jack Dorsey out this week. He was alleging an exchange on social media on none other than Twitter. The company he founded that he's on the board of and is about to step down from, that CNN created conflict during protests in Ferguson, Missouri. Remember that way back in, I guess it was 2014. So this was a thread about CNN and fake news, endorsing said, and I quote here, I know this from being on the streets of Ferguson during the protests and watching them try to create conflict and film it, causing the protesters to chant F CNN. It all started because CNN's media reporter, Brian stelter over there said, and I quote Tucker Carlson is always selling the same thing. This was a reference to a piece that he tweeted out about how Fox was trying to effectively sell doubt. And Dorsey wrote back and said, and you are all selling hope? In other words, I think he gets it? These mainstream media companies are all trying to sell something. And by the way, is not hope. I mean, he's being sarcastic there because you know, CNN is on one side of things. You get Fox on the other, but they're all, this is why I love, by the way, independent media. Again, make sure that you subscribe to this channel and to this podcast. But you know, they're all kind of, they've got bigger agendas. Anyway, newsmax is correspondent Alex salvi took to his Twitter account and accused Dorsey of trying to defend Carlson and then Dorsey responded saying, you know what? Quote, not defending a thing. And added up that he was adding that he was just holding up a mirror. So just a mirror at what they're all trying to do.

Elon Musk Sweetens the Deal for Twitter

"It. So Elon Musk, sweetening the deal here. He says he's come up with the financing, which is really pretty significant. He's been clearly working on that Morgan Stanley was his banker. Morgan Stanley, as well as a group of other banks, they have lined up the financing with him and he's got, he's got the means to do this. He's also got the means to actually sweeten the deal by about three $1 billion. So 25.5 billion in financing is coming from this group of banks, as I said, led by Morgan Stanley, including a 12 and a half $1 billion $1 billion worth of margin loan against Tesla shares that Elon owns. The rest of the money is actually coming out of Elon's pocket. $21 billion is going to spend right out of his own pocket to get this done at three and a half $1 billion more than the original $43 billion offering. So translation here, this guy is serious and it's going to be increasingly hard for the board to turn this one down. There is a board meeting coming up later next month, Jack Dorsey, his term is actually expiring, we'll talk about that in a little bit. But this meeting is going to be pretty

Calif. Assemblyman Kevin Kiley Is Valiantly Fighting to Kill AB 2223

"Let's get to someone who is a fighter for what is good and beautiful in California because there's still a lot of great people in California and the fight is necessary to assemblyman Kevin kiley, who's also a candidate for California's third congressional district, Kevin. Welcome to the Charlie kirchhoff. Thanks, Charlie. It's great to be with you. So Kevin, let's get into the latest news. I was kind of tracking this through some of our amazing pastors yesterday, pastor Jurgen, pastor Jack hibbs, rob McCoy, James Cadiz. We're kind of all in a text together of people that were tracking the legislative movement behind AB two two two three, otherwise known as the infanticide Bill. Walk us through what this bill actually contains no hyperbole or exaggeration because some people are blowing it out of proportion, not on our side. The other side, what does it actually say and where does it stand in legislative process? Sure, well, where it stands is it passed its second committee yesterday, which is horrifying. It's one of the worst bills that's ever been introduced here, which is really saying a lot, considering the sort of bills that get introduced in past in California. And the idea is, you know, Gavin Newsom has proclaimed California and abortion sanctuary state. He wants this to be the state where people from other states can come to to have abortions and this bill two two two three purportedly creates a kind of liability shield for acts that would violate the laws of other state and some places of limits on what sorts of things can be investigated. And so all of that is bad enough in its own right, but there is this term in the Bill perinatal, which by, you know, there was a practicing o-b-gyn at the hearing yesterday who said that that can encompass up to about a month after birth. And so it creates sort of a liability shield for an infant death that is post birth and what's more, it actually would give individuals the ability to sue prosecutors who wanted to come in and bring charges of these cases. So it's truly a horrifying

"We have Jack in Monroe. You're on the air with the Governor, Jack. Hi. Governor Murphy. Hey, Jack away with nothing. Very good. Thank you. Thank you for taking the call Thistles related to closing the pools. My daughter is a competitive swimmer. She's been screaming for a 40 years. And, uh, it's pretty pretty brutal when, when? When The kids stop swimming because our, um swimming is a sport that they have to swim every day for a few hours to keep up with their with their With the times I read the CDC, Uh, rules are they say the pools are safe. But you you in your last name, and you mentioned that you're going to cancel Theo the You put restrictions on competitive swimming. What evidence does do you have? Or how did you come up with that? With that decision that called with 19 transmit? New competitive swimming. Yeah, Jack. Thank you for the question on. It's a good one. It was not the first time we've heard it so we haven't canceled anything We've put in place a pause from this Saturday, December 5th. Till January. 2nd Freni indoor sports Um and we are clearly what? When we make a decision like this, it is not just to feel good. I have three boys who play in an indoor soccer league. They had have been able to see them for months play. They had the first game of the winter season last night. They drew 66. By the way on the rest of that winter season will be there. Postpone, it would be postponed because that's the only game they're going to get off before. January 2nd So I'm a huge sports guy. I'm a dad. I'm like you. I want to see my kids have the mental health, the physical health everything associate with indoor sports. We are doing this because we are seeing transmissions. Coming from indoor sports. Mentioned hockey the most. Uh, I can't tell you that. I'm seeing any transmission in the pool, and that's what you're referring to Jack. But here's the problem. It is that what's going on in the pool? It is the It is the adjacent activities where we're seeing the spread folks inside. Ah parents or other folks who maybe their locker room. Uh, adjacent activities to the sport itself that may be outside of the facility. And by the way, I'm not. I'm a big hockey fan to I'm not trying take it out on hockey or swimming or any other indoor sport. The fact of the matter is it's also legally we can't split the baby. We can't say. Be like saying Italian restaurants are closed. But South Asian restaurants are open just because we had some incident. Yeah, you have to make a decision that applies across the board. On again. We have We have data. It supports this decision, period full stop. Not necessarily from in the pool, but from around the sport In some sports more than others. I'd love to have the luxury of they say of dividing this sport forces that sport. I don't have that luxury that does that does not stand up, but it won't stand up. Remember the what Last thing, Jack. I painted the picture. We first got on the phone here today. This is going to be a very tough two or three months and then we're going to be in a much better place begging people, please, whether these decisions are popular or not begging you to please hang in there. No, but I know that this is not normal. I know it's not fun. I know it stinks in many respects, but we have got to bear down. And if we do, we're going to be out of this thing in a much much, much better place. Sooner than you think. We got lots and lots of questions a lot about it about swimming and competitive swimming, but a lot about many sports. Let me run through a couple of quick ones. And just maybe if you can even give me a yes or a no but before the break, So Kristin and Morris County wanted to know if gymnastics is included in this pause, I think anything indoors that's team or institutional. But I will make sure all these that I follow up. I don't want a misfire. Sufferance is I go If you go Nancy by herself to a batting cage, and you're by yourself that's not included. But if it's anything that's institutional or sports or team related, it is included. What about bowling leagues. That was from David in Ocean County. I want I want to make again. I don't want to miss Speak here. We'll come back here on these damn. Brian is listening. I want to make sure we follow up. I'm going to try one more even though you're unsure of some of this, But what about indoor tennis clubs? Listen, I the only the only thing that said indoor tennis is you. You typically not gonna have a team associated with it, but I want to make sure I give you the right answer. We'll get back to you, okay? Andre, We're about to go to a break. But just tell me a little bit more about this decision. Like what kind of science is it based on when you figure out like what? You know what to shut down and.

"Of transportation as far back as he can remember basketball locker rooms have been a staple of Jack Hoiberg's life that's not hard to believe because his dad is ten year NBA veteran Fred Hoiberg yeah I mean when I was really little he's playing in the NBA which was you know really cool experience be able to go back to the locker room the wrong guys like Kevin Garnett and Sam Cassell guys like that on to rules and then I kind of realized how cool was to have a dad with celebrity status I guess you could say so it's easy to see how the son of an NBA player would fall in love with the game of basketball whenever my dad would be playing games when I was with the ten rules may be on the road I can only go to games on the weekend so most games of the home and I'd be downstairs playing on my nurse who while watching the game and like kind of pretending to be the players so I mean I kind of just fell in love with the game ever since I was little as Jack grew up his dad transition from player to coach in both collagen pros Jack learn by osmosis grown up around the game like that you learn a lot from just being around it I never really sat and to meetings very often the to listen to the coaches talk about things but everyone so I didn't I was cool for me but with that kind of basketball background you might be surprised to learn that college hoops wasn't his original plan initially I was committed to play golf for the university of South Dakota and I ended up wanting to play basketball and said of golf in college and you know I had some connections here mission stay ahead of us have a great senior basketball season and I was able to pick up walk on offering came on a visit it's kind of fun love family atmosphere and everything that comes along with being a Spartan that's number ten guard Jack Hoiberg today Spartan profile brought to you by dean trail way thanks got what a great story there on Jack away for him we will be bringing you part two of his story on Wednesday well for now we're going to step aside and when we come back we'll get to know all for just a.

"These these families who are worth so much money because they own these drug companies, and so they're suing and there are a number six as they've settled some of the lawsuits, but they're suing the families who owned these drug companies that manufacture opioids which are really quite effective at dealing with pain, by the way with pain management when it's used properly, and whose responsibility is that that's the maybe that's the biggest question whose responsibility is it to ensure that they are dispensed when they are therapeutically necessary. And now there are people Kim McAllister was just telling me that she knows somebody who had surgery and really needed to have a prescription and opioid prescription. And was denied it because there are some doctors who were just too fearful to do it. And she got Tylenol. Instead. So she suffered in pain. That's not. Okay. That is not. Okay. But what got me was that in nineteen. I looked this up during the break in one thousand nine hundred ninety seven that's when it was allowed for direct to consumer advertising of drugs that when it became a wait a minute. I'm sorry. Direct to consumer advertising of drugs has been legal since nineteen eighty five. But it only really took off in one thousand nine hundred ninety seven when the FDA eased up on a rule obliging companies to offer a detailed list of side effects in their infomercials, the long form it television commercials. So whatever, it's you know, it's in are fairly recent history. Nineteen hundred five nineteen Ninety-seven during this time. They started advertising these things direct to the consumer. And I think this is one of the big problems. I don't think and how many times do you see it? And you know, what you know? What else don't tell me? It doesn't work. Don't advertise. Works. And if it didn't work, you wouldn't see it every every time you have a series of commercials. A break for commercials that comes on a television almost every single time. You're gonna see a drug commercial in there. Maybe you're going to see only drug commercials in there. But you're definitely going to see a drug commercial in there. And if it didn't work, they wouldn't bother they wouldn't pay that big money. They wouldn't be putting out the big bucks for it. So it's the government that allowed this to happen. This needs to stop. This is one of those things that they need to put back into the Ashkelon. And I'm sorry that I just jacked away because I'm so upset about this. So we're gonna take a little break. But don't go anywhere. I promise you. We'll go direct to your phone calls as soon as we return. "Nightside tonight. I'm with Andrea darlas by requests, she didn't know it was coming. I said the haunting elevated here we go on somebody has to. Has has left me for another man. A minor league baseball team in Connecticut. The Hartford yard goats have announced that this season to help people from peanut allergies. They have banned peanuts and cracker Jack throughout the stadium. Some stadiums have certain sections that are peanut free. But in Hartford now, we've the first entire stadium that is peanut free. So I asked the question. What are we going to put in the song? If we can't save buy me, some peanuts and cracker, Jack. What will we then say, I love Tim? And or Abana he says call the team and tell them yard goats love crackerjack. Okay. It's not a bad idea. How about this guy says buy me some pizza and two shots? Jack by me that it rhymes. Let me hear how you sound peanuts into shots of Jack. I don't care if I ever get back. I like it. I like Jack Daniels fan, but I liked the rhyming part of it and two point five percent of people in America have peanut allergies. Are we not giving them enough? You know, we're not being sensitive here should every stadium like every stadium needs netting. Now more than stadiums have ever needed netting to protect people from foul balls. But I this keeping peanuts and cracker Jack away from auger percent of the people because two point five percent of the people can't have if you have a kid who's peanut. You know, allergies are a big deal. You'll keep them away from peanuts kid will notice stay away from peanuts. So you know, what side of the Vance Joseph. I do you find yourself flying on. And how will we replace the song? This is spike in Naperville. Hey, spike, you on WGN. Great to hear you again. I I don't know. You bet on WGN. But I missed you. Oh, I miss you too. I miss you miss you more than anybody. But it's it's great to be here. You can find me here on Saturday, usually cool. I have to give credit to my fiancee Pam for this. I think it should be by me some pizza and pasty stats. Tasty snacks. Not bad. You know, you've still got. Alcohol part in there. I you know, I know how you do not invite anymore area. So you know, I think we should stay away from the hall. Well, it's it certainly, you know, not meant for everybody. You know, there are a lot of kids at the ballpark. So you'd probably you know, two shots at Jack probably wouldn't fly with the seventh graders. Yeah. But now, here's the other thing. I'm noticing. Andrea is this like Valentine's Day hangover this bike has that. He's crediting his fiancee because if they were ever. Wherever married and this came to a head. No, Jeff Jeff Bezos base os. Why the thought of the whole idea the whole cops have to Amazon he gave a credit in the beginning. Now. She's hardly mentioned. No, not at all. Except when people go, you know, why you should get a pre NUP then she gets right? He's saying, you know, what they say behind every great, man woman. Yes. A great attorney. Who gave me some malnati's pizza would make sure that I would share with her all look at that. Just a blatant suck up for malnati's people. You know, they don't give me malnati's pizza like these other hosts get it where I can just blatantly give it away. Like like what what is your favorite thing about? Now nowadays pizza. I actually my future white is gluten free, and she absolutely loves. They're gluten free pizza. Should there? Be should all of Lou malnati's restaurants, should every could I'll call Mindy. Kaplan right now should every Lou malnati's be gluten free zones. Away with delicious deep dish still there too. That's a very good point though. I mean because so many people now have gluten allergy or air dealing with gluten. Luton free. Exactly. Lactose intolerance. I mean, so I know and now most restaurants say, hey, do you have any food allergies, which I.

"And I think you you mentioned Jason Moore's lot. Yes completely. We we know it's par for the course, the more technology, we use the more data that we have living on these platforms that there will be breaches. It's not if it's when so I don't know. I think maybe it will turn more people onto setting up shortcuts 'cause I actually I wasn't really aware that I could do all of these things. And then I thought okay. Well, I'd be willing to give it a shot. That's interesting that doesn't Tirlian possible. What a sad commentary on apple marketing that that actually may be the case that this flap, you know, may actually increase usage because people just didn't know that this came out gets a came out with so little man fair. You know, this is now another new year of a lot of hope and optimism around apple being able to get get their act together, you know, in contribute in a meaningful way to the voice space, you know, because if they're not then they're just going to become, you know, increasingly irrelevant as people expect to become know be able to use computers with their voice, Jason I agree sort of with your sentiment. This is this is an increasing cadence of problems, but I think the normal user probably does detect a decrease in quality across the apple ecosystem in general. I think that's been among other things. It's led to the decrease in velocity assails. On the of the iphone and other other hardware that apple sells. I dunno. It's not good news. But you know, maybe it's not the apocalypse either any any closing thoughts on that. I have a question for you. What do you mean the decrease in quality? Well, I think you could measure that a couple of ways I think the number one way I would look at it is that it is evident that there had been less. Innovative features less interesting. Evolution cycled cycle. You know, annual cycle annual cycle in the iphone line. You know? And Furthermore, what really gets me is what the reason I switched from iphone? I was along. I was one of those people that would change, you know, by the new iphone every year. I did it for years. I did it for probably tonight phone. Maybe the original are certainly the second gen all the way up to six, plus which became my last iphone, it became my last iphone because I was so irritated at the fact that apple took the three point by the the headphone Jack away, and, you know, did it basically to force air pods on everybody, and I get people like air pods. But that's beside the point and switched to Samsung. And and I've enjoyed the phone. I have now. But I think there's a demonstrable decrease in the new features. And you know, the they're focusing on the cameras and stuff. But the the thing that gets me is that I can't even tell you, Emily, you know, if you said tell me the latest iphones like the X are in the x, and whatever I could I couldn't tell you what they are. I don't have any clue and if someone asked me at gunpoint, you know, tell me what the differentiating factors are between the different. Different. I've currently sold phones. I have no clue. It's confusing. It's a mess. You know? It's just it's everything that Steve Jobs wasn't. It's it's overly complex. No one has really any idea. What the value proposition of an iphone over a Samsung is lined up one hundred people instead tell me why should buy an iphone rather than galaxy or phone or even the Google pixel. No, one would be maybe ten percent would give you some answer than made sense. I think apple is in serious decline. This is evidence further evidence of that. And and that's my that's might be. Okay. I I guess it's kind of off topic. And I know yet more to discuss here. I wouldn't say that the quality has dropped off. Perhaps you could say innovation or new features. Because frankly, every time the new phones come out, you're buying a new camera. A nicer camera. It's not a dumb camera anymore. But the phone is a found. People don't use phones to talk on the phone very much. It's about how fast the apps work or how security is arguably apples ecosystem is more secure certainly than an Android. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm just kind of this is interesting to me..

"So we were jacking away here about making America. Great again or numbers. What did Tom Brokaw say? I wanna I wanna follow up that you were saying Tom Brokaw was all over social media because he said something about Brown, babies grandbabies or something. What did he say? On. Apparently, he was on meet the press on Sunday, and he said that Hispanic should work harder at assimilation. And so then the other part of that he said that many Republicans fear the rise of a new constituency in American politics because of immigrants coming here who then end up registering as Democrats to vote he then he said the third thing. He said was also I hear people say, well, I don't want. I don't know whether I want Brown grandbabies, and he said, quote, that's part of it. And he said, it's the intermarriage that's going on in the cultures that are conflicting with each other. A lot of that. But I think everybody ought to look at the bureau of labor statistics report this past month. Five percent four point nine actually Latino unemployment four point nine percent, which is the record in this country for low unemployment for Latinas. So why would they be voting for Trump? If that's the case is approval rating with them is up nineteen percent. His a really high. I ten before the hour on the program. The local news station. News talk five ninety K U N. "Oh, that's. And then they're just having a conversation, and Sean you think boom head is gone. And then he lays down than bills like you think he's dead in Arthur's. Of course, he's Dan look at him. Like. But like, you said Andrea was so sudden just you weren't expecting it. Usually like sort of instance, you're kind of expecting a gunshot or something. But bam. Oh my God. I don't think emotionally torn up about that one mostly because it wasn't a character that you cared about haired about that much like his accent admitted just like show like he was still evolving relief. Yeah. It was fine. He was the definition of fine. But I do think it was it was a shock. It was a jolt to the system because it was just the timing of it. And the way that they put it together that way, but it wasn't like, oh, I'm so sad. Shawn's dead. I thought that way with a couple of the people where Mike you were just they definitely bloated the gang in my mind. So that they could then the gang, and obviously you knew going into it. If you played red redemption Bill makes it out of your makes it out Dutch makes it out like you knew those things going in. I would've said they bloated just to kill them off. And let's say that those characters added a lot because I liked I like Sean little like Irish clips, right and hit the relationship between him. And Karen, it was fun to watch those two bicker. And when I saw his death. I was like dang. I'm not going to get any more of those that you guys see the when they win the tent and blinked. No. Yeah, they go and attend. They blink. Oh. They're all very drunk. They totally had thing for each other. And it was really funny to know. Yeah. That said anyway, I think yeah. I didn't I didn't get that those what the base Braithwaite. I also like we were talking about. I love those two characters. I can't remember name. Sorry spent eighty four years or locked. I wish I mean, the boy and the girl. Yeah. Yeah. So it's P and. What's his name just finish this quest though it, but I don't remember. I know 'cause I just did. I just did wanna Penelope's 'cause I I almost didn't do her last the last mission for those. Oh, ho. Oh, Bo, and I really liked their story. I thought it was really cute. I really like Penelope a character thought, she was really progressive, and it was fun to see that in that eighteen ninety nine and see what Bo, but I wish we would've seen a little bit more steel like if there was some content cut out to you like it could've been something expanding on them because I thought that they had a really fun story and chemistry and then they leave. And then that's kind of it. You never hear from them again, which I guess is. Okay. But I would have liked to see more of them. I feel like there should have been more. Maybe along both of those houses to the ground one of them, quite literally, right? So grandma Braithwaite kidnaps, Jack, which was a pretty surprised turn of events for me that I'm like how did they get Jack away from camp was nobody like looking after him hundred you race raceway so close to can. I mean, but they're supposed to have a perimeter around the camp right security thing. And it was like I was like, okay. I guess it makes sense. You know, they're gonna kidnap him. I was like, please. Rockstar. Don't hurt the kid like don't do anything to them. Is fine too. Yeah. And obviously he was fine. But like I thought that was really fun moment. The first moment that like the whole gang is coming together. And you have that that epic cut scene were all walking down the right road. Brian. They all got their guns and their like, we're here to fuck. Shit up. You know, it's awesome. I think we did this with jackass. I'm great. He's so young in this that I don't know..
