The Podcast On Podcasting
A highlight from Ep384: People Don't Go To Reels To Find Podcasts
"I would recommend that you have a podcast as the top of the funnel because it's going to grow your business. It's going to support you because you need people to know, like, and trust you, I'll say on that podcast. You need people to know, like, and trust you. Most hosts never achieve the results they hoped for. They're falling short on listenership and monetization, meaning their message isn't being heard and their show ends up costing them money. This podcast was created to help you grow your listenership and make money while you're at it. Get ready to take notes. Here's your host, Adam Adams. Hey, podcaster. It's your host, Adam Adams. And I was scrolling through a Facebook group, a Facebook group for podcasters. And why was I there? I'm looking for clients and I'm looking for guests. So here I am trying to see who it is, who's asking for help, who it is, who wants to be a guest. And I'm starting to maneuver through there. And this was just a few minutes ago. And once this ended up happening, I decided I needed to come to you and mention something that is thoughtful and that this gentleman, I'm trying to remember if his name is JJ, or if I'm mixing them up with, I read, I was on that scrolling through for a long time. Let's just pretend it was JJ. So that gentleman, he goes, I don't understand what's happening. I've been doing reels for, I don't remember the amount of time. Let's pretend, let's insert the word months. I don't know. But he goes, I've been doing reels for a long time and they're getting between 1000 and 3000 views, but I don't understand. Again, I'm getting one to 3000 views on my reels, but I don't understand why am I getting so few podcast listeners? And I think I was kind of feeling like an asshole or something. I think I was feeling like a jerk. Like I wanted to prove a point or something and I was frustrated and it gave me some weird thing in my heart where I wanted to freaking scream at this guy. And I kind of did. And I basically said, it's because people don't go to reels to find podcasts. People don't go to YouTube to find podcasts. People don't go to Facebook to find podcasts. And what I said to, we'll call him JJ, I can't remember if it was JJ or somebody else. What I said to him was, well, the reason why is people don't go to reels to find podcasts. I said it very matter of fact. And I felt like a jerk when I did it. I said it. And then all of a sudden, like all of these podcast coaches are liking and thumbing up my response to this guy. And so I felt at least like, okay, that's good because the people that really know they agree that people don't go to reels to find a podcast. So maybe I wasn't as mean or unthoughtful as I thought, but I did, I did jump right into it and like, I'm rolling my eyes and be like, bro, what are you thinking? You got to put your money into bringing people to the podcast, not growing a reel. It doesn't necessarily translate. It doesn't transfer over each and every time. There have been so many times that I go to Instagram, for example, and there's this guy that I really admire. I really respect. His name is Andrew Kuberman and Andrew constantly puts out good reels. Okay. I follow him on Insta and sometimes I'll watch him on YouTube, but I am technically subscribed to his podcast. I don't know that I've ever listened to his podcast through the podcast playing platform. And that's because I don't go to Instagram to find a freaking podcast and I'm scrolling through and I'm getting reels and I'm liking his stuff. And then I follow him. It doesn't mean he gained a subscriber and same thing. I've had clients, probably two or three clients, two are women. I remember the conversations very, very distinctly. And they said, I don't understand my podcast. Let's just say 3000 downloads per month, but my Instagram is still only getting five to 10 likes per post. And they're like, something's going on. And I want to say same thing as I said to, we'll call him JJ. It's because people don't go to podcasts to find people to follow on social. Yes, they might a certain percentages of them might some of the people that see me on Insta or LinkedIn might find my podcast. But if we want to really grow a podcast, there's two things to do. So get ready to take notes. Here's your host, Adam Adams. Now get ready to take notes. There's two things that you could do. One of them is to guest on other people's podcasts. Why? Because a hundred percent of the listeners of that podcast, listen to podcasts. A hundred percent of the listeners of that podcast in your genre are interested in your genre. It's really easy if you're being on somebody else's podcast to have a call to action that says, check out my podcast. If you would like another free resource in this area, if you're doing life coaching, then you would say I coach coaches. And if you want to become a life coach, this is a good podcast and I've got a free one as well. Go over here. Or if you're liking what this is about entrepreneurship, I would recommend, this is what Adam says often. I would recommend that you have a podcast as the top of the funnel because it's going to grow your business. It's going to support you because you need people to know, like, and trust you. I'll say on that podcast, you need people to know, like, and trust you. Well, the podcast is how do they know you? So I'm hoping that you, the listener of that other person's show is who I'm talking to right now. I'm being interviewed. Remember in this scenario, I'm being interviewed. I say this all the time. I say, if that's what you're looking for, jump over to my podcast, it's called the podcast on podcasting. This is the value that we drop. I would like to see you there, especially if it can help you. And it's totally for free. Okay. That's a great place to do it. The next place it costs more money than just being interviewed on somebody else's podcast. Okay. And that is to do advertising. So you can do advertising on Spotify. You can do advertising on Buzzsprout. My team does advertising with private messages where we personally invite the person, each and every person that fits your perfect avatar. We reach out to them on Facebook, LinkedIn, and meetup .com. And as we start a conversation with them, we make it go to the place where we ask them if they've heard of your podcast and then we bring it to them. So what I'm saying here is you want to do a couple of things. Go guest on other people's podcasts because people listen to podcasts that want podcasts. Secondarily, make sure that you are doing some type of paid marketing, paid ads, getting in front of that person time and time again in other ways. And sorry, I was starting to get distracted by a phone call coming in. That'll be a lesson for me and you to just put our phones away because I could tell that it was somebody that was important. And I was like, I need to answer that. So getting back to where we were before I started stuttering more is I want you to be on other people's podcasts. It's one of the biggest, best ways that you can grow your audience. And secondarily, I want you to find ways of doing paid ads because that investment could pay you dividends. For an example, we had a client, his name's Alex. Alex came to us and he said, I've been going with this big package with you and I've got this other guy helping me. My podcast has been costing me a couple thousand dollars a month. Do you think I'm at a place where I could make money? And I was like, Alex, yeah, I'm looking at the numbers right now and you could make great money through your podcast. How much do you want to make? And he goes, it'd be great if I could pay most of those expenses. I said, how much? And he goes, it's a little over $3 ,000 a month. Do you think that's even possible? I said, yeah, sit down with me. So Alex and I just sat down and we talked about him making money through his podcast. We talked about how many listeners he has because he was doing a package with us that we were doing some marketing. And now that package costs a little bit more. But anyway, we were doing that for him and he had plenty of listeners. So I spoke with Alex and I let him know you're who to talk to and how to talk to them. So we did that. He went and talked to one person one time. He had literally one phone call and he got five grand a month and he had another phone call just a couple of days later. And he called me and he says, I'm making $10 ,000 a month through my podcast. Thank you so much. Because he went from a place of not knowing that he had that ability. He went from a place of thinking that this was an expense and it became more of an investment that paid him dividends. Think about that. A, I want you to go out and get on other people's shows. B, I want you to find a way to put out paid marketing. We would love to help you with that if it's within your budget. If not, reach out to me, give me a call and I'll share with you a few things that you could do without having to hire us. Awesome. I'll see you on the next episode. Oh, hey, because three of my clients came to me recently looking to find a way to have their podcast make the money instead of cost them money. We put together a resource for some of our clients and I want to give it to you as well. It's something that did actually seem to help because one of them is now making $2600 a month. Another one $4500 a month. And the third is making between $5 ,000 and $10 ,000 each month. And so it's been a resource that's been incredibly valuable to them. It's our sponsor sheet template. It's a template of a sponsor sheet and it gives you something that you can hand to potential sponsors. And hopefully also be making $2600, $4500 or between $5K and $10K regularly each month with your podcast. So this has been a contributing factor to helping all 3 of those clients turn their podcast into an additional income stream for them. And the way that you can find it is just going to our website, growyourshow .com. But put in forward slash templates, growyourshow .com forward slash templates. And then you can actually download that template and others that could be valuable to your podcasting experience. I'll see you on the next episode.

Defining Mindfulness With JJ DiGeronimo, President of Tech Savvy Women
"Some things that you like to talk about. You talk about mindfulness and using mindfulness as a superpower. And what do you mean, like, mindfulness? Because I know a lot of people hear the word, it's a buzzword, but they might not really know exactly what it is that you mean by that. Yes. And I think it's important to talk a little bit about like, I had to do a lot of things to work through the stories that were holding me back, the self -doubt that popped up all the time that really kind of drove a lot of my decisions. And really just how I moved through life. And I realized I was obviously, you know, in my work profession, things were going well, but I really beat myself up a lot. And I kind of beat other people up a lot, whether I said it or not. And I even was so hard on myself that I really stifled myself in a lot of ways. And the energy work that I did, the self -discovery, the solo trip, the experience with different energy allowed practitioners me to move a lot of that heavier energy out of my body and create room for light and love. And one of the most instrumental things that I learned is mindfulness. And mindfulness was not something I was running towards if I was totally honest. Like, mindfulness seemed to me like, oh, that's such a ridiculous thing to do, you know? Yeah, true woo woo, right? Like, oh, there goes those woo woo people, right? Yes, absolutely. I wanted to be productive. I wanted to, you know, really kind of get things done all the time. And my mindfulness teacher was just not having it. She was like, JJ, you have to put the notebook away. I'm like, no, I might have a good thought or I got to plan my grocery list. And it took me weeks to realize that I was basically living in the future or reflecting on the past. I was not in the present moment. And mindfulness really taught me how to be in that present moment. Oh, my God, no, I think most of us are there. We're there like thinking about everything we have to do or going over everything that we've already experienced. We're not present very often. So what does your mindfulness practice look like? Do you have a daily practice? Oh, I've thought about myself in the last eight years. You know, I really had a lot of work to do because I was so leaning in the masculine energy. I was so driven. And it took me a long time to unwind that. You know, I'm 50 now. So I've been working in that energy and that like productivity rat race for so long. And all of us have masculine and feminine energy. But when you're in high tech, which I was or many demanding careers, you lean so far in the masculine that you completely detach yourself from your knowing your connection and your inner wisdom. Oh, God. Yeah, totally. But what like, do you do a meditation? Do you do like a grounding, a breathing exercise? Like, like, what's see, because mindfulness can be very difficult for some people who mind, you know, goes in a million directions. So I like to give people who practice it like what it is that they do that helps them get into that present moment. I love that. So one of my biggest, one of the easiest things I do just to remind myself how easy it really is, is I either look out my window or I go outside and I find 20 things, recognize 20 things and not just things I see, but things I hear, smell, feel, and I really put myself in the present moment outside. Or even if I have to just look outside, right, I just really just put myself in the present moment. And it's amazing because when you are in the present moment and you're just recognizing everything that's happening around you, it's hard to be worried. It's hard to be fearful. It's hard to have anxiety because you're in the present moment. There's, you're not thinking about what you already did or what you're leaning into next.

The Bill Simmons Podcast
Fresh update on "jj" discussed on The Bill Simmons Podcast
"So that their their team isn't really set yet. And the Suns are now they had this little Durant run at the start of the year. Now Booker's been awesome for two weeks. That leads me to my first sports radio argument, which you had with Eddie, which is Tatum or Booker. So I'm doing my ringer top hundred. You know, and I got to the six spot, which is where I had Tatum. And I started thinking, like, is Devin Booker better than Tatum? Like, but then I thought about the playoff exits and Tatum. The fact what a great rebounder he's been. I mean, he's an unbelievable rebounder for his position, right? I think he's like third in the league for rebounding out of all non-centers. And I do think he's gotten better every year and he's added stuff. And I like where he is. But the Booker thing, it's an argument. So I'm sure Eddie was on the Booker side. Where were you on Tatum versus Booker? I was on I was on the Tatum side. Now, speaking of elimination games, I got the numbers right here because Eddie and I just had the argument. Booker at eliminations games, he's played in three of them. He's averaging 14 points on 31 percent from the floor. Tatum, I think, was somewhere up around 26 points per game included. Like so he's had a 51 point game. Booker's played, you know, against last year against Philadelphia in Game seven. Right. Then he had the 46 point game against Philadelphia or Milwaukee on the road the year they went to the finals. Booker's never even scored 46 points in all three of his elimination games combined. So that was one argument I used against Eddie. That's Tatum's been, you know, better in a bigger spot. And then clearly you got the rebounding. You've got the defense, heavy advantage to Tatum in both those categories, even though Booker has improved dramatically defensively. I want to give him credit for that. Booker is a better playmaker, I think, at this point as well. But like and ultimately, like Eddie's big argument was efficiency. And I do view Booker as the better scorer. I don't know how you view that. I do view Booker as the better scorer. But if you look at like effective field goal percentage, which accumulates everything across the board, Tatum actually has the advantage there. So I do lean Tatum. But if you like, you're making a list of the the 10 best players in the sport. In all likelihood, you got them back to back with Tatum, maybe one spot ahead of book. Yeah, I had the list I handed in and we're running our we've combined all the rankings of different voters. But I had Jokic, Giannis. Curry, they didn't beat four over Luca. Luca had five, Tatum six, Booker seven, SGA eight, Durant nine. And then I had Jimmy Butler as as as my 10th. You have LeBron as your 10th, right? You still have LeBron as a top 10. I had LeBron 12th. The defense with him, I I just care about defense. Like it called me nuts, but it's I just factor it in. And that's why I like even Tatum over Booker. I like the fact that Tatum, when he really dials it up, he's an excellent defender, but he can play different positions. He can help you on the boards. And that's like just enough for a slight edge. But, you know, LeBron in that Philly game last night, the whole team wasn't playing defense, but his guy over and over again was shooting wide open threes. And I don't I do feel like LeBron slips into DH mode a lot. So, you know, is it the difference between being a top 10 guy and a top 12 guy? Everybody is so afraid to criticize LeBron and they should be because he's played more minutes than anyone in the history of the league. I'm just measuring him right now against all these other dudes. Game after game after game. If it's a playoff game, he probably moves up. But if you're just talking about regular season, top hundred. I can't have him in top 10, but you had him. I got him at 10. He's an abysmal defender, OK? He doesn't care about it at all. And you care about defense. I care about defense as well. But one other thing I care about is I care about build the regular season. And Jimmy Butler doesn't care about the regular season. He sat out today. You know, he sat out tonight in a mid-season tournament game, OK? And he's yet to play, by the way, the rule. I want to give the NBA a lot of credit. Even both Clippers, Paul George and Kawhi have played in every single game so far. OK, so Joe Dumars is push. Hey, get everybody out there. It's an 82 game season. It's worked for a lot of guys. Jimmy Butler's had three back to backs. He's yet to play in one of the back to backs. One of them was rest at the beginning of the season. That was a personal issue. Then it was this ankle issue that he had. So I care about the regular season. And like you watched it growing up, right? Bird kicked your ass for 82 games in the regular season. Then he kicked your ass again for what? 20 playoff games. Magic Jordan kicked your ass. 82 games, not 70 games, not 50. Eighty two games. They kicked your ass for 20. You're so old school. Look at this. Jimmy Butler doesn't do that. So I can't put him up there on the list. That's my reason against Jimmy Butler. Bird did it. And then he was wearing a back brace during games by 1991. I I had Butler 10th because I wanted to keep some connective tissue to what happened last year. And the fact that he dragged that Miami team to the finals last year and beat Boston and ran through Milwaukee. I just I'm just not going to let that go. You have to be a top 10 guy after that. So I just couldn't. Yeah, I couldn't knock him out. Anyway, Tatum versus Booker. They're around the same age. Koc and Verno did a great thing on their pod today about the MVP ads that you know, I heard, you know, yeah, Jokic is the obvious bet. And Jokic is going to win if he plays 70 games, I think, because he's just so overpowering. But Booker was 26 to one when they did the pod. And it's a good if you're talking about long shot bats, I'm not allowed to bet on the award. Neither are you. But if you just talk about long shot guys that could rise up as the season goes, I do think he's a good candidate for that. No doubt about it. I mean, because what do they want? Seven straight games since he's come back. So like they're winning when he's out there on the floor. I think he's already missed eight or nine games. So that means he's carrying the team by himself and games like that. He's hitting all the checkmarks. Like I remember on Austin Rivers, who also does a podcast for you guys, said that Booker was the better player than KD. And he said it was without question heading into the season. I feel the same way now. KD has been awesome. He looked like he was maybe cooked in that first game of the season. And I remember even you talked about it. I talked about it as well in that first game where it was Phoenix and Golden State. He's been awesome since then. Certainly deserves to be in like the conversation on the periphery of the MVP. But to me, Booker's the better of the two players. But you're right with Jokic, like you're doing your list. And to me, it's like you could you know, you could say Steph's better than Janusz. You could say, you know, Embiid's better than Steph, whatever you can have. You know, I got Tatum ahead of Luka because I don't like the heliocentric way that he plays. I don't think you can win that way. But the gap between Jokic and everybody else, there's no argument like that. Gap is huge. I heard Scalabrini, who does a show in the morning with Isola on our station. So just hopefully not too much of it. But anyway, coffee hasn't kicked in yet. So it's you know, it's a little incoherent, but I think it's not. So, yeah, if you don't have coffee, it's fine to listen to. But once you get your day started, you got to move on. Either way, he said like the gap between Jokic and the rest of the the league bill is as big as I happen to agree with this, as big as it was when LeBron was in Miami and the rest of the league then. Like he said that, I think last year at some point. That's a great point. So 2012, 13, LeBron compared to Carmelo as the number two MVP candidate in 2013. Yeah, that's I think that's fair, because I think what makes Jokic. Man, I can't believe we're talking about Jokic. And it's only the 30 minute mark. People would have thought this sooner. I think what makes him I mean, there's a million things that make him special. He's so fucking consistent. And that's what like magic and Jordan had, especially in like as we got into the the late 80s and early 90s. Like it's just game after game. It's the same. It never wavers. He's always, always, always the best guy on the floor doing the most things, keeping his team around. And sometimes he scores more. Sometimes he passes more. But you'll watch you pick a guy and you might catch them on the wrong night and they're just not that good. Like you might catch an Embiid night or it's like Embiid doesn't have it tonight. You just don't see it with Jokic. It's just he's almost like a hockey player. He just skates around and fucking gets his shots on goal. And that's it. Yeah. You almost had a throwaway line a couple of weeks ago where I think you were coming in in or out of break. And you said like he might be the greatest offensive player I've ever seen. I don't know if you remember saying that, but I think he is. Yeah. I mean, I agree with you. And people, while you overreact, I protect the legends. Like I went at JJ Redick with the whole like Bob Cousy thing a couple of years ago, like I protect the legends. I love the history of the sport. That's one of the reasons I was initially hesitant, like on the on the in-season tournament. But Jokic in regards to like being able to get his own and make people better. And that's what I don't look at. Like when Daryl Morey sang all the greatest offensive player ever is James Harden. I don't look at it as offense is scoring. I look at it as number one is making everybody better. And that guy makes everybody better to the same level that Magic did it to the same level that Bird did it. He's on he's on the upper tier of doing that. Well, so I thought it was interesting when he's not in the game like yesterday, he doesn't play in the Quipper game. And the team still kind of takes his identity and they're still unselfish and they're still doing the same stuff. That's what Bird and Magic had that more than anything. All right. Yeah. Next sports radio argument. Has the ship permanently sailed on Anthony Davis being like a top seven, eight guy? It probably should. And I think like the distinction probably came like maybe yesterday, Bill, because like thinking we're talking about some of the former greats, right? Like the Magic Bird, Jordan, you can throw Kobe into the list. If like somebody of if the backup like to guard says about Kobe Bryant, all the guy does is flop. What is he going to go out there and do? He's probably going to put up a pretty big ticket personally, or he's going to have like at the very least, even if Paul Reed doesn't say that or somebody say it about Kobe, like those guys are going to say, you know what? I'm going up against the MVP from last year. I'm going to be super focused on this game. I'm going to have it circled. Right. And even if I fail, I'm going to take more than 14 shots. I'm going to be aggressive. So Anthony Davis talks crap about Jokic and the Denver Nuggets leading into the first game of the season. And Jokic hands him a triple double, hands him a loss. Then he's got an opportunity to go up against Embiid here.

FTX CEO's Legal Billings Hint at Comeback for the Exchange
"It wouldn't be a Taco Tuesday without referencing some insanity regarding FTX. FTX's CEO's legal billings continue to hint at 2 .0 and now we've got something from the New York Times and I've actually got a hot take about this. Oh, I get to do the hot take first? Okay. So my hot take is that I actually think, and again, you guys are not financial guys, I think that the reboot of FTX is going to actually be a good thing. FTX really had a lot of great products and services that were available. However, they had absolute trash management. And I think if a mature responsible adult can actually take the money and be transparent, not use customer funds for weird things, then I think that the platform does have some sort of chance to do well. That sounds like creditor talk. It does not sound like it. No, I'm actually, I am an FTX US creditor, but I'm being serious. They really had great products and services. And one thing that Sam did well was he was able to communicate to his audience and pull or integrate things that they wanted, which was good. However, they just were scammers behind the scenes. So it sucks. So I don't know, maybe there will be some sort of good that comes out of this. Either way, I'm probably not going to touch it. And I'm not going to tell my audience about it. Did the things work though, Wendy? I mean, we don't have FTX here in Canada, but I heard they didn't really work all that well. They did. They did. Okay. A lot of users really like the interface. Like the UI on FTX was like pretty slick, et cetera. I don't think it's really going to happen. I mean, I think he's exploring all avenues, right? Because JJ Ray, the third, his mandate is to give as much money back to creditors as possible. And if this is a possibility for doing so, then sure, put some billable hours on there and indicate that you're at least thinking about it. Whether or not this will actually happen, I guess I'm a little bit less optimistic on this ever coming to pass, but this is the man's job. He's out there to make sure that people can get their money back to the best of his ability. And I think the fact that he's considering this is interesting. Maybe it's a bit little outside the box thinking, but bringing this back in some form may ultimately bring revenue in the door that could make creditors whole. So credit's in for thinking it, but I don't, I don't see it happening.

Jason Whitlock: Disney Changed ESPN's Culture to Wokeness
"Now I've watched you on TV covering sports and culture for a really long time And one of the stories this week that I know you were all over was this JJ Redick Kendrick what I forgive me for Perkins I'm sorry I don't follow best what much anymore This fight they had over allegations that the NBA MVP award was being tainted by charges of racism And this happened on ESPN Jason and shockingly JJ Redick actually fought back I discussed it yesterday on my show What happened at ESPN Nobody knows this process better that better than you What happened over there Well Disney bought ESPN what 15 20 years ago and just completely changed the culture at ESPN and made it work and made it part of the culture war And then there was a time in the 2002 1010 where the website dead spin just really went after ESPN executives who wouldn't get on board with the woke leftist agenda and bullied the executives into getting on board with the leftist agenda And so ESPN's culture sports culture the left identified very early if they were going to win the culture war they had to take control of sports Sports is the number one thing on television The NFL is the number one show on 5 different television networks You're not going to win a culture war unless you control sports because sports is so powerful in popular culture the left figure that out They've overtaken ESPN the worldwide leader in sports and then they've used ESPN to impose those values and that agenda on the rest of the sports world

The Charlie Kirk Show
Jason Whitlock and Charlie Unpack Kendrick Perkins' MVP Comments
"Get your reaction to this back and forth. JJ Redick, who I always enjoyed watching JJ Redick at duke, great player, called out Kendrick Perkins for suggesting that Nikola Jokić, Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki only won the MVP because they were white. And now mind you, I've stopped watching the NBA a couple years ago. I might watch the playoffs here or there. I didn't even know who Nikola Jokić was until somebody told me about him. That's how disconnected I am. But Dirk Nowitzki and Steve Nash. Now those were my guys growing up. And so I find this whole narrative to be repulsive. But good for JJ Redick. I'm sure he's going to get a call from Disney for speaking truth. Play cut 59. It is an honor to be on this desk every day. It really is. But what we've just witnessed is the problem with this show. Where we create narratives that do not exist in reality. The implication what you are implying that the white voters that vote on NBA are racist, they favor white people. You just said that. Yes, you did. Yes, you did. Yes, you did. That is exactly what you implied physical purpose. That is exactly what you applied. Secondly, hold on. Hold on. I did not call. I stated the facts. I stated the facts and you not about to sit up. We all know what you implied the other day. We all know what to imply. Hold on. I started a time. It's the fun. It's the first. It's the facts. Jason, is it the facts? What's going on here? So I know Kendrick Perkins, he used to appear on the show. I did for Fox Sports. Look, Kendrick is like a lot of athletes. They spend a lot of time developing their physical gifts and don't spend a lot of time working on critical thinking. And so much of their thinking comes from Twitter. And Twitter has convinced many of these athletes and many of the broadcasters on TV that racism explains everything, anything that they don't like racism is the answer.

Oh, okay, so I play thing is down for a second. But I'll get to the clip here in a minute. But the gentleman Kendrick Perkins literally went on a racist rant. And so did Stephen a Smith. You know, I just, it's weird to me how black people can get on there and they can bad mouth white people as hard as they can. They can specifically say, hey white people, y'all shouldn't be doing this. And nothing is said nothing happens. There's no criticism. There's no nothing. White America y'all bet not do this. Now, just imagine if a white guy got on there and said black people, let me talk to y'all for a minute. Y'all bed and I used this as a way to talk bad about white folks. How the Left Covers for Criminals
"These policies that sound cute to mindless non critically thinking people are getting people hurt, you don't need to broadcast to the entire state of Washington that we would no longer pursue if you're driving over a 100 mph. That can be a police intern. You know, we never put it out as a memo when I was on the Tucson police department. But we didn't pursue people for certain crimes in the city limits. If you're outside city limits, man, your butt is ours. But in the city limits, if you haven't committed an act of violence against another person, meaning a felony, crime gets another person that was violent if it was just property damage that was felonious, then we wouldn't chase you. But the criminals didn't know that. They thought we were chasing any day of the week all the time. But when they get woken, they start doing this fake transparency stuff, they get people killed. If a person knew that the police officer would pursue them, they probably wouldn't be driving a 110 mph, 111 mph. And if the police can't pursue them, they'll be able to stop and pit maneuver them and prevent them from killing people.

Now, let me just read the quote here. It says, I've been doing this. I'm going on 27 years. I have never seen anything like this in my day and age. He told and I believe this is sheriff, had told the person from the news. He says, I like to think in western Washington state. Homosexuality and Religion
"It's funny how these African leaders are clearly opposed to homosexuality in their country. They want nothing to do with it. And they are against it. And in you know, I think this is my thoughts about it in America, and I move on to another topic, but I just really think that people should have the right to disagree. They people should have a right to say, I don't support homosexual behavior. People should have a right to say, I do support homosexual behavior. And matter of fact, I want to go and be with a man. That's something. People have the right in this country to do both. If you want to go marry a man, people should not hurt you. You know, to be honest, people shouldn't even really care. Unless you start to deal with the religious aspect of it, if you marry a man marrying a man, you can't be a pastor. That's against the Bible. You can create your own religion and he can do whatever you want to do. But you can't be following a religion following Christianity claim you're following Christ because if you ask me, it's a fraudulent organization that you run it. If you say you follow Christ, but then you're doing exactly the opposite of what Christ is doing, but you claim it to be a church and you're taking people's money every month. You're a fraudulent organization and that should come to an end. But in America, not every institution is a Christian institution. I wish it was, but it's not. And I think that people should be able to live whatever life they want to live, just like in a kingdom, or just like in life, God created men and gave us free will. So if you want to send your whole life and do whatever you want to do, that's fine.

A Thank You to Joe Biden
"All right, I want to talk about Joe Biden real quick and I said this in a teaser, I want to thank Joe Biden for all that he's done against this country. I mean, for this country, and I want to tell him that I support him in his 2024 run. Yes, that's right. I hope that he runs and I would donate money for him to run. So Donald Trump can sweep him under the rug like grandma due to dirt after the barbecue. Joe Biden is the worst president in United States history. Kendrick Perkins Says Racial Bias Plays Role in NBA MVP Voting
"Kendrick Perkins. What's this guy's deal? I'm not familiar with him terribly much. He was a subpar NBA player and he's above average broadcaster, but he does, this is not abnormal for him to do. And he is not white. That is correct. All right, so take a listen, cut forward to this guy's very upset because a white guy may be in the running here. Got 14. JJ, I need to know. Is the uchu Wally or is it one mic? I need to know when it comes down to the criteria moving the gold post for the MVPs because I understand you and the analytics. I understand you are a story you know the game of basketball, but I went and did a little research myself and since 1990 has only been three MVPs. That wasn't top ten in scoring that one letter ward. The whisky, Steve Nash, and yogurts. Now with all, what do they have in common? I let it sit there and marinate. I'm just trying to see, you know what I'm saying? When I walk into the club, do I need my J zone or is it a dress code? Do I need to put another, you know, a church shoes or some red bottoms or I need a note. Is it uchu Wally or is it one might? Like, what's the criteria when moving the gold post for certain players to win the MVP? I need to know. Because it seemed about the gold post move every single time where we want to push it out there, this particular pill that we want to win every piece 'cause we all know in 2006 when Kobe was averaging 31 when the Lakers were the 7 seed and the roster that he had compared to Steve Nash and Steve Nash won his second consecutive MVP in 2006, was he really supposed to win that? Was he really supposed to outdo COVID that year? I'm just trying to figure it out, bro, I'm trying to get on understanding what's the criteria why the goal posts move for certain players is the utility or is it one might carry on? So this is

My question is how do you think stephen adams is going to help memphis now and do think he will ever get back to his best days. Twenty sixteen playoffs being a roller off his screens his best as replaying next to westbrook and i see the same qualities in mirant that can bring the best out of atoms. What are your thoughts to solve him. Yesterday see yeah yeah. Yeah he's a business yeah. he The most shocking thing. Let me just go ahead and say the most shocking thing you're going to hear going into the weekend okay for everybody out there. That's to this. You are never going to be more effective. Be careful though. Drive off the road. Stephen adams is twenty eight years old. It does blow my mind chris. He's still. yeah on believable. I see the guy. I can't fathom it twenty eight years old it's crazy to think about I do think that he can. I do think he can help. I think he could be a defensive quarterback which is why the grizzlies wanted to attain him in the first place right as defensive line backer yet. Oh i think he is a good. Possibly ideal fit with jaren jackson junior. Which is what they need their about. The side the bruiser at on and the perimeter wing. Big in jackson who. I think you'll see signed within the next week or so. Probably like he'll get his extension to like some of these other guys. Have maybe michael porter. Jr. dead verse some others. You get to start to see those before training camp But yeah i do think he could be a very good fit and offensively look. He's a guy that he he's he's put back guy he is finished pick and roll guys at the rim and he is offensive rebounding throwing it back out guy and yes. All of those can be extremely useful when you have a super dynamic point guard. He is one of those we talk about. You know the stars in their role players valla tunis. Who i love about is not a role player though. He's not just You know he is an offensive weapon. Who you've run plays for and you get the ball to and really affects things. Stephen adams is more et al. Clean stuff up. And i'm going to keep the ball moving type of guy which when you have jackson than lineup Assuming he turned into what people thought he was gonna turn in to die. Think it could be a very very good fit and could help adams dramatically to. Yeah i mean. I think this sort of this question makes me think about Two things a how a player salary impacts the way we talk about them. You know stephen adams were league minimum or like five million dollar player. I don't think people would be saying like. Oh stephen sucks he fell off. I think the conversation would be much different But also just how in recent years. We've seen some older players whether it's vince carter. Or whether it's dwight howard camello anthony We've seen them at some point. Either fall off and go into different types of roles or even just be totally doubted and say they've done they should be out of the league. They're washed up and then still manage to find a new role like mellow did like dwight. Howard did and steven adams. He's still getting paid. A heck of a lot of money you know. He's not necessarily quote unquote worth that. But in this new situation having more of a downhill pick and roll presence..

That's that's what i would think and expect but We'll see we'll see how this develops though every time. Top shock comes up on twitter or people ask question. How did you get into it. We get tagged in a million different tweets. Yeah see it's always cool all the time because people brought it up so i'm just here to tell you and you don't have to divulge what you've done. I'm going to tell you that. I did talk about this a long time ago. when i first got on it i know a lot of you did get in on it. Some of you were able to flip. Some of you got bad because it went spiked up and then it went down. Big whatever i have all of mine still. I never sold anything. So i just kept them because to me was like all right. Let's see where this goes. Either your believer or you're not in my opinion right. I wasn't doing it. And i was never doing it to make a quick buck on the stuff because lord knows i could have made a quick buck and at that point like look my account got to this insane level and mid february when i was yeah at times. Eight times ten win win win the snow when there is nothing out there right. The only thing that was out there was a stuff i own. I mean i will tell you. I sold it got so goofy. I sold an alec burks for thirty. Five bucks malik. Burks.

"That can be thing. And it wouldn't shock me. If atlanta catches a game at home honestly and this ends up to two it would if they split in atlanta because yes it appears that phillies figured something out but atlanta's got a like a real advantage with the bench thing. They they needed every bit of that shake milton bs and i say shake is obviously capable of that but i mean that one the hit at the end of the third quarter to go along with all the shots he was making. That was crazy. So i don't know there they. They have not gotten the bench production that you would think in atlanta might be able to run out on them With the bench. Let's move over to the last series that we need to cover today. Oh god the background has changed. I just changed my soon background. Dehydrate and devon booker. Okay look denver. We talked about this on tuesday. I hate it for them. It is what it is. They don't have enough when you get this jamal. Murray and when you get to this stage you can't have composite. Oh and austin rivers monte morris and these guys going up against what is an outstanding basketball team with guys seemingly every night playing at their absolute peak. And it's one night. It's been devon booker at another night. It's been and another night. It's been bridges. But then for the first couple of games of this series. This chris paul thing is i mean. This is ridiculous kevin. He's in control of the game. The entire graham the whole game and you know what you know. What's running a you know what is run through my mind. A run this by you real quick because we're not going to do a ton of analysis on sons denver. I hate it. Mike malone hates it even worse. Obviously michael malone preference. Did you hear him last night. Take quit he. i was like say bums. Say bums call them bumps because he was just unloaded about everything he gets pretty emotional day rams humiliated the cool it. They sake he gets so mad about them. And i'm like bro. you're starting composite. Oh no offense. You're starting composite. Chris paul what do you expect. I guess he'd say. I expect my team to fight like all right. They can find all. I want the and also like they're not there they might be fighting and everything but they also are hurt. Forget about the very thing for a second michael porter tweet this back in game two and he did not look like himself in game three on either end of the floor and we'll he did and we'll burton you know he's he's trying to gut it out. Just got back yeah. Exactly he's trying. He's grinding because they need it against the sun's team i would it. Would it surprise you on the scale of one to ten. How much would it surprise. You have the nuggets. Take two games back in denver. It oh god are you serious. I'm just asking. Yes i will be absolutely floored..

"We have on the planet. Possibly the two best really in simmons a table. And that's what you're charged with dealing with. You did that video and some of those plays some of the breakdowns that you did it. Just it shows e just can carve up a defense. You know what is the. What's the counterpunch. Is there a counter punch that you think atlantic can throw to this with ben simmons and matisse stibal you know it's funny because i'm not sure there is a counterpunch against these now. They're just a high level defensive players. They're elite defensive players. I do look forward to seeing if we do see atlanta. Switch up their lineups. You mentioned how capellas getting beat up a little bit by embiid which is no. Knock on capella great defensive player. But he does that to everybody. It's just who am beat is. I wonder if we'll see atlanta. Try a little bit of small ball with john collins at the five or even gallon aria the five. If they wanna go really small outspacing spread it out. You know force the sixers to switch all screens. I'm curious to see if we'll see a wrinkle like that maybe that can help spring trae looser. Get him some easier matchups after after switch because in the way in which they are currently constructed I'm not so sure that a lot will change in terms of the matchups that you get on trae young well and so we just have to go to work on those guys. Watch the film and find some weak spots but there's not many of them for ben simmons mortiz title. I actually kind of think of it. Like i do with the with the old curry situation right when you could when when you could grind that thing down and you could make them play half court basketball. It was your best chance because now you can keep a guy chasing him everywhere trying to stay attached to. Its when they get stops and that warriors team was so great defensively that they did get those stops and now they got draymond or dollar. Whoever catching it off the board and they would just take off and now you're in space and now you're cross matching and it's whole ages. It i kind of feel like trays. Chance at being unbelievable again. Is that it actually weirdly the atlanta defense which is can you get enough stops and get out in space because if you're going to have to play half core basketball against that crap i mean good you can't you can't you're not gonna put up a huge number when you're especially because you gotta have the ball time like with the curry didn't have to have the ball at the time he could just run around. And that's that's the thing chris that like. I hit that note late in the video right. The next step for trae young is becoming more effective away from the ball doesn't have the ball in his hands when he's not running pick and roll when he's bringing up the floor when he's on isolating right but when he's off the ball if trae young can translate his shooting off the dribble from logo range from right at the three point line and to be able to write race around the screen and shoot off to catch or to relocate off ball and come up a little rub screen and get himself open if trade can do that and adds a whole new dimension about the way in which you need to defend him and to me..

"I'm just. I'm just listening some son's name. Big big time names either. Well then you need. You need guys when you're going up when the competition gets to this level right you need to guys. You should have will barton and jamal. Murray your starters. No kidding you'd rather have those guys but you're not giving enough credit to really do. I really don't well. I mean monte morris would he would have started games if he was you know pretending he is which is not what you look. Portland is fantasy land. That was real stuff last night when you're playing against when you're playing against the sons and look terry stotts. He didn't have his job anymore after what happened. What was what was with those meal. O'shea comments come across twitter saying it wasn't because the roster that our defense was bad and all that i texted with a couple of executives about that and they're like four sure makes head coaching job appealing. When the gm is throwing the coach under the bus cena was it wasn't about the roster. That's the reciting. The conversation he had with the owner pretty much. Yeah no i mean i. I was thinking about this. Chris like i'm sure he was just selling like his side of things. I mean it's pretty obvious. Part of it was the roster right. You're twenty ninth ranked in defense. That's not all coaching. You don't have a short roll option and the pick and roll for dame like does with steph curry or bruce frown for that matter with the nets and so forth. So there's a lot of situations where guys have short roller. There's a lot of missing pieces in that portland. Ross when i was thinking about. Was this chris. If you're neil o'shea let's say you're buying what you're selling. Let's say you really believe that it wasn't the roster if you're niilo say what do you think could have been done differently. Is it like playing a little more often. A big rangy young wing defender. Is it playing derek jones. More often if they gave the mid level too. I love to know if he buys what he's selling. What does he think could have been different with the roster. I wanted to be the that collins out in his wheelchair. Sit in front of the basket. I hope zack hans and get back. Play and play healthy. He hasn't been able to.

"Playoff games rewind. Even a year before that replacing gordon hayward yeah for boston you know the face of the franchise leaving suddenly and then mitchell gets drafted at that situation and is asked to be the guys thrown into the fire. He's inefficient. He's working through it and all those trials and tribulations those losses and those hits he's taken have all allowed him again experience and wraps and in big games against tough defenses game planning for him and it led him to become a player. We saw in the bubble player. We saw this entire season. And we're about to see what he can become in this postseason because clippers team at some point. You've got to think they're gonna stick hawaii on them right. They try some point they did. They did in the fourth and he had a pull a moves where he got there and then they just switched to easy you know. They said that last year they did that last year with the you know the huge luca shot you remember when we talked about that a lot. It's like why are you just letting this happen. And they just let the switch happen. And that's how he ends up with canard because they actually did have on him at the top and then they've ransom screened and he just passed them off to canard meat to the lions and other thing about why we gotta start talking about him. Differently is putting the team on his back. Same way and that you can see the tangible you know. We always talk about the things that don't show up at a box score this guy. When they had him miked up tonight that was a moment and they may never have him might up again and they may never be allowed to run but for all that we complain about how we never really glean anything you know. It's a huddle and it's nate mcmillan saying we've got to defend you know and it's like okay great. That was cool but like that always have the worst coach clips inciteful braun play guys. We gotta get good shot at the average so so the the one clip of signed the most basic possible thing right whereas tonight we get that clip of mitchell. Where he's on the mike and he's talking to those guys and you could see he's all fired up and he's like look to fourth quarter. They just played a game seven two days ago. If we can make him quit here. They're going to get ready for game two and i was. I love all the smoke. Well and he knows he's up. He knows he's mic'ed up you know when he saying that and also don't think they're gonna show maybe not that i was probably borderline. I'm glad they showed it i think. Tnt stuff like that. I think also say this. I think teams player should also be okay with showing some more. What's wrong with a little bit of trash talk. It's great it makes it more exciting for people watch more exciting for people watching it means more people are going to start on and watch games live data what i mean look especially in the day and age of reality. Tv which is real people are fake reality tv. That was as real as it gets. You're really getting to hear what a star player is sagging to his teammates at a time out when he's trying to get them amped up to go out there for the fourth quarter and i'll be damned. He came out of that locker room in the second half immediately had like ten or eleven points and then he did it again in the fourth quarter like joe just get on my back and he had the bowl every possession..

"That's the idea here i got to figure out what they're gonna do with the big guy stuff in this too because he ran out there a long time and the zoo box numbers were he better numbers than he's had recently. But you know what. I was monitoring from our buddies stat muse. I mentioned this last week tonight. They know member last week. Got the other dallas series. They had that stat. That said the clippers are always when zubair plays eighteen or more minutes. That's right they're looking at. I keep refreshing up like wednesay get to eighteen. And i was like because they lose it if it was holed up but look that's obviously a goofy stat. That being said. I did think that while he's individual numbers are good. He had some flashes that was also the span. Where they the jazz really got their mojo going. They did and so they've got to figure out what they wanna do here. Do they want us. Try to stretch this thing out and play know we try to get go away from the basket trying to get favors away from the basket over. Are they going to try to match up big for big or are they gonna. Because the combo thing doesn't work like just decide you wanna play decide how you want to right. Which are we going to do here. Because i did not think that these teams when it gets to just planning against each other they know what they want to attack right and inevitably the clippers are gonna have to figure that out after this game but i mean it's a three point game dishonesty could have gone either way and mitchell. Mitchell was the best player on the court. That's on the court by wide margin. I'll tell you what this series i mean. We'll see how develops over the next week. Plus or so. It opened up with mavericks clippers about well. Maybe have kaleida fan luca more and then as a series developed. It quickly became apparent who wins. The games is who have the two stars as better if the better game the clippers will typically win. If luke had the better game the mavericks would win. maybe this series takes on that same type of vibe. Maybe not. i mean. We'll see..

Dirt love go bear me and john young though if john brings up go bare for. Vpn might have the sam not going that far. Be happy to have john on my team though debate and his greatness his greatness i can't i can't wait till the next when i did do my. Mvp vote bear top five. He was on my long twelve. Fifteen guys you to turn that in a long time ago long time ago. Yeah yeah yeah you at yokich like everybody else right yeah. He should be unanimous. I don't think he will be. They'll be they'll be guys out there. Just what not but him the drummer. Maybe i'll say this. I know that you have expressed that. You are higher on some of his supporting cast. That i am but he did nothing to hurt his case in the first round of the playoffs right like if anybody was out there man that dude gm vp. Did you just watch that like he just he. He's lost he's lost his starting line-up like twice this season. he's playing. I went and looked up when when they played the sons and there's literally not one player from his starting line-up in january and he's still murdering everybody and he just he probably just blew up the frigging blazers seriously. The that was the one thing. Blew it up those the one thing. I argued with nick about when he was arguing for chris. Paul talking about changing the culture. The thing with yokich is the culture. He's been the culture for years. He might not have brought the culture to phoenix chris. Paul did with phoenix. But he's been the culture and defense in denver and defined who they are and mean you see that right now in the post with just dominance nick. Right voted tom brady. Nfl mvp changing the culture of the box. Pretty dombi alway. No he didn't to saint dane's they shot for one hundred years. Tom brady went there and they're good. Chris thank you for saying good things about thomas thirty. Let's give tom brady the mvp last year. Generally the same thing that i forgot to do they forget i forget it now. Do culture changes for. Mvp that's what we have to do. Then i see today that the bucks are like the first team ever to bring back all twenty two starters. That's wild that's a crazy stat. It's tom brady culture. He called them all parents in the late. Incredible at you know what he did. He call them all personally. Said you're asking going nowhere. You take what they offer. I'm also it's not even not not just a win. The super bowl the first team to play in the super bowl to bring all twenty two starters back that's in gaza ridable can't wait to see possible..

"Go with dj. We see nash goes to the sidelines as dj. You're in. that's a win for the nets of us. That's a win for the box if that happens. So that's the benefit. The way your buddy john horse and the bucks have built this roster out where they have lineup. Flexibility booting holes has options with the way he can dictate the in which they're gonna play and that's me gives them an edge in that sense that's why the nets it was important. That's why they chase drummond. Didn't get them. that's why they signed aldridge. Unfortunately he had to retire. That's why and that was so important for them. And they lacking that to be an issue but could they go with mitt claxton former for more minutes. He is not a big bruising guy but he's big and he's long he's lean but he's long. I wonder if we'll see nick and get unleash for more than like eighteen minutes and stay out of foul trouble. And he's a stay on the floor and all that but he on paper could be the x factor for the net side of things. Where if they do have to go with size. Claxton could play a very very very important role for brooklyn in the series. I like dude. Sounds go good. If they don't they might just relent and be like you know what the hell with the switching thing we're going back to the drop coverage thing and look protect the rim brooke bike. If you wanna hit fifty threes go go ahead. I'm not coming out there. Go ahead blake shot. It's to be it's not gonna be blake shooting those threes though. It's not saying whoever is the five you know saying he's shooting through stats or career kevin durant and use them as the screener constantly. Make you an enable you to not do that. I can't wait to see how milwaukee defense to open this game. That i'm so i have so looking forward to seeing what they do. Yeah that was that. That is a look. We're going to have some really good series. And i hope that we get at least. I hope i kind. The clippers dallas then goes to a game seven just so we get that. We're not getting it. We're not going to get it in the denver portland series anymore. And i guess that's our only chance right. We only got one chance at a game. Seven dow it anything Because everything else is pretty Is all wrapped up. This has been very good. So far. And the phoenix suns have eliminated the la lakers. Who would have ever guessed it. I love their stuff because basketball and sports are supposed to be fun in stats are supposed to be fun and the stats that they put out our informative but fun and with the are it makes it fun and and there's some stats that are out there. Like i don't know what i'm looking at a put on some glasses and and look really closely like some stats or confusing stat. Means does a great job putting out stuff that delivers the information. that should be conveyed in a digestible. Way i just had to say that the compliment them. Because i love their account hours. Learn something seeing their stuff. Here's here's the thing and and Per them you can. Now keep this in mind as you're watching game. six monitor. Soon as that thing gets to eighteen minutes for zoo box you can just go ahead and say the clippers are losing. The p plays eight hundred or more minutes. They are done that interesting. Yeah it is interesting. I can't wait for that game. Six and again. I i i i'm done. I'm done having opinions on that. Right i do. Think of those guys are totally possible capable of being the best player in a said game much less the best player in a series and it really has come down to. You can look at the five game. It doesn't always line up this way. But in three of the games. Luca danni. It's been the best on the floor and in to the games. Koala leonard has been the best player on the floor. Sometimes it's that simple really sometimes. It's as simple as a team shoots threes better. That's what tyler argued after the first two games. Sometimes it's really is simple now. I mean l. They did they have shot a lot. Better in la. It's crazy side. Why can't they live like that. Won't shock me one bit. If we get a game. Seven on sunday all. I hope so. I hope we do gave sevens because we've had some series and even since we last spoke trae young taking a bow like. He's in a outweigh show. I love to embrace being.

"Because yoke ends that series averaging thirty five and ten four naveh cyst and he splits her fifty three percent from the field forty three percent from three ninety two percent from the line. Unbelievable i. it's tough if you're if you're terry starts you look at the bench and as cantors nice guy. But he's a horrible defender and like with with the blazers that you just mentioned in a test of whether he's a nice guy either. I guess to that. He's a smiley guy. We can say that at least social miles. But i think i've heard are really sweet guy. These scumbag on but the following up on the staff. That you've just mentioned chris in the series. I the nuggets with dean on the court. The blazers outscored the nuggets by thirteen points for one or possession say they third plus thirteen with dame without nurkic a minus seven. She so like even with damon the court without nurk their defense is just getting crushed. And that's the difference there. They were still putting up dockets regardless of who is on the court with dame as you'd expect but defensively they had a one thirteen defensive rating with dame in nurkic that plummeted to one twenty eight with dame and without narc like had have merkich out there to have any shot. And if you're a blazers fan. I tweeted this out earlier tonight. Oh we saw we. I needed that bit in the draft. Don't tell a lot about five minutes. I'm serious tighten up. I'd found a photo minutes before the tweet went out. Google to find this photo of terry stotts. Just terry stotts. No you didn't say you really database. Not google image database. Yeah but you didn't say terry stotts sad or terry. I know that photos scam kerm photo current. Yeah it's a very up-to-date. 'cause when i go there was only photos of him in a suit. I like. That's just over suits anymore. Like as tweet it though it is fitting the way the blazers lost because they blew a fourteen point lead that they had middle third quarter fourteen point lead and at home and the reason why they blew. It was the reason why i know. Trust in his team all season long their defense stinks twenty ninth ranked during the regular season. It's a horrible defense. I'm sorry and on offense. I like they lack imagination. Around dame team isn't going. They have nothing if theme is that fourth quarter at second half he was. I mean the second half you wonder if it was and look. The nuggets played in that game too but it was a double overtime game that he had fifty five ten right. The whole third quarter. Dan caplis rest of the startled fourth. I was tired because he had his team on his back. The whole season they had so many credit to damian lillard like sometimes with people who say why does damien any blame dame does deserve some blame for being a lacklustre defensive player but he is so magnificent offensively who cares on the others to make up for who he had naturally is as a smaller point guard on defense. He carried this team to the playoffs. He'd carried the was mccullum. Got off to a great start and suddenly he was out other guys. Were in and out of the lineup..

"I hope i inspired you. Look i'm not gonna take all of it back because you were stupider than hell in the first game. When i when i goofed about tyler saying oh yeah. They shot that way here. Let him shoot that way at home. Like i sorry. I goofed on demand. Because the truth was those. Were super outlier shooting performances. They were and it just so happened. It happened twice in. La and there has been a severe regression to the mean. And you've got a banged up. Luca right now and not look right. No he doesn't look right. Each get a loss rows across court pass and he tried to do that in that last game and he was in frigging agony when he did it. You know because. I don't know what he did this nerve thing. They couldn't feel his arm. And i mean he's just not that guy. How many times did you see him. I saw this happen one night. He if you go back. They got waxed in memphis towards the end of the season but he had flipped over like a He ran for a loose ball and he flipped over a table and he landed like flat on his back right during that game and the rest of that game. I kept telling my buddies. This dude is because he was coming up the court and he was like just throwing the ball of brunson or whoever else and he was just running off to the side. like to be a decoy. And you saw a lot of that. In that last game. And i was like broken. Plays like this. He is the offense. He is conducting this entire operation. And when he's banged up. That's when you know when he's not right. He goes in discharged to play decoy. And like doesn't want to really be part of the play but he knows he sets a threat. They're guarding him out there. So maybe it could create space for the others. But i mean he s to be amazing luca but i take back a plea. What i said about the clippers couldn't beat them for out of the next five game It's it's a read this. I mean they leonard those games it dallas. She looked like the best player in the universe. I'm not kidding. He is fantastic. You find somebody that looked better than he learned he was. He got a hundred and twenty something points in four games. I mean he's like snatching the boy he's driving straight to the whole at franken tomahawk. And he's i don't i don't know what the hell did this do but he is gone. Ballistic looks in control of everything. That's happening on the court everything that's happening. And that is the mark of a legend right. The guys who can do that. And that's the level. He's playing at right now. And for this clippers team and this mavericks team being limited with luca. We don't know what he's going to look like next game in kristaps porzingis as well the lack of self creation ability. Like he hurts in situations like this. If you can't go to your other player your other max player your number two and get a bucket from him that that's a problem to me..

"All right. We've got to talk about the other games. That went on including the boston. Celtics being done they are gone. Fishing say on tnt. The brooklyn nets disposed of them. One twenty three to one zero nine one of the things that dawned on me as i was watching that game was. I'm not so sure that when we come back for the next nba season that jason. Tatum is not the only remaining starter from the lineup. That played in a playoff game right. I mean you've got jason. What they started tonight was tatum. Forty langford smart thompson. It would not be shocking. All if tatum is the only starter on opening night when they announced their starting lineup. The tatum's only guy and he is the one positive from what was a rather dismal series. He was there for it. you know. He performed at an insanely high level including tonight. But he doesn't have his running buddy jaylen brown and they were just wildly overmatched. Absolutely i mean. The brooklyn nets dismantled them fronta back in the series except for the one game boston one and like you said that's because of tatum and the performance that he put on their lone win in this series. And you know. I think for any celtics fan thinking about this season. We've talked about it a bunch this past month. Chris and i reiterated again. This season has been a nightmare. A disappointment it's one underwhelming and yet jayson. Tatum and jaylen brown got much better. They're younger guys. Robert williams payton pritchard. They got better. So there's some silver linings in the season for the celtics and when you have tatum and brown performing at the level that they are. There's plenty of reason to feel optimism for the future with that said though a lot of work to be done in boston to get it right around these guys because it is clear the brooklyn nets and the team that there are about the phase in the milwaukee bucks on another level and dude. This series bucks. That's it could be the series of the playoffs. I'm so stoked for at is pretty wild because it's been like a week. We kind of knew. It's a matter of time and disposed of the miami heat and so it was like a matter of time but we were able to look ahead and start thinking about that series and so i was trying to watch these games against boston. These last couple of games thinking about that buck series and especially what kinda different lineups might be used against the bucks. And i tell you there was. There was a moment tonight where i was watching. And before they did the acquisitions of blake griffin and lamarcus aldridge. Who ended up having to retire. You know we didn't really fall in love with the brown kid. Bruce brown and yeah.

"Huge huge free throws for. Moore's i know he missed the ones one able dame to tie it but he also hit the big ones at the end of the yes right in the double overtime he stuck with it and he had some big big. Three's when they needed to. I don't know why the hell. Cj mccollum was going under the screen. I mean the kid has been shooting fireballs like know me like. Why are you going under. Because of course every time they all kanter out there yokich ran straight to the top. Set the screen and it's like okay and in the guards just got to try to stay with him because kanter's not gonna i mean there's nothing he could do. They ended up just abandoning the cancer thing paying small. It's tough man. Like terry stotts. A lot of blazers fans want him gone. If they lose the series and understanding we sell for some different reasons. The offensive system. You know just a factor with me in the flow and i'll play calling. Maybe it'd be better to have somebody who is more hands on with playcalls the defensive rotations and whatnot but like you look at the bench. He doesn't have a lot of options here and as cantors backup center zach hall has not developed and hasn't stayed healthy. He went to rhonda. Hollis jefferson for nine minutes and in those nine minutes the blazers were minus. Twenty one. A minus twenty. One hollis jefferson's nine minutes and he was a guy who signed weeks before the season ended. You know to give themselves a chance with ikea. A small ball. We were you know. We'll talk about bruce brown later on when we talk about the nets and celtics that type guy who can be a short roll option for you but like hollis. Jefferson is in theory equality player but hasn't been at many of stops in the league so for thoughts. Where are the options. Where's the options on the bench. The young is having developed. A little is not ready yet. Anthony simon's is not ready yet. Exact calls like i said earlier. Not saying healthy not ready yet. It's just unfortunate that some of their draft picks that on paper make sense and maybe could turn into quality players years from now. Just aren't ready yet for a moment like this on a night like this when damian lillard put up the numbers that he did it's just unfortunate that night is gonna be remembered in a loss and one of the good. It moves that they did. Make the drafting at trent junior. But they use that piece. To acquire powell. I'll five fourteen tonight. Thirteen points paul's had some great moments. Like don't get us wrong here. But i don't think data is he gets paid a fortune well and that's the thing we'd we don't know they clearly don't wanna pay gary trent to make that deal. But that doesn't mean norm. Powell for shore will stay because there's going to be accurate a lot of other teams. That would love to have norm powell on their roster. Oh for sure. And and you know to read the stories I think Nora powell's representatives. Think that he's going to be getting a twenty million dollar contract. You don't think from what i understand. There's a strong possibility that i mean there's that that that shooting guard market. I mean there's going to be guys out there. That are getting a lot of money. He's gonna player man like why they made the deal he said to me..

Night man record this week has all the game. We just watched on idaho. Boy this is one that will be on the nba classics for till the end of time. I mean When you sign up to watch a playoff game what you expect is not always what gets delivered. But this exceeded all expectations. Denver wins one forty seven to one forty in a game five over portland which has been highly competitive series. Gobble and we'll double overtime. It was all one of the most unbelievable performances in the history of the nba. In fact no one has ever hit more three pointers in a playoff game than damian. Lillard twelve four seventeen. He's scored fifty five point. He was seventeen of twenty four from the field and he lost the game. I mean seems impossible that you could lose a game with that kind of performance steph. Curry is tweeting about it. Kevin durant i mean. It felt like everyone was watching this game. That was unbelievably on nba tv. You know they put it on. Mba tv and there. It felt like everyone in the nba community was watching this game because we knew what we are witnessing something so insanely special katy called a spiritual experience. God black god. He's god.
