"We had an eventful weekend. We did. We got a lot done. Tell Buddy tricks he's trying to tell everybody what we did this weekend. Celebrated Archie. wa-was fifth birthday with a zoom dog. COSTUME CONTESTS PARTY TO SAY that. Just. It, was nice to see. Everybody was nice. Yeah. Was a nice excuse to see family and the kids seem to enjoy themselves. I thought it was appropriate that on the little kids was the one who won the actual dog costume contents I. Think we're GONNA open it up to everyone next year not just dogs. No I think he was excited to be the best dog was he was something about that it was a very good cost to. What was it again he was shadow from the sonic the HEDGEHOG Games. Sure. He's very into sonic. That's awesome. So it's good and that's why I did it was just to have everybody together. I got admit I wanted to perform a little bit. So thank you. Excuse I mean it's Halloween time. You know 'cause we're usually very very busy at Halloween. are sadly this year because of the virus. You're not I think people understand like people that work in haunted houses as soon as October hits, it's Halloween like all the time. So soon as September heads yeah. The End. Depends on how much you're working on the actually putting a haunt together though you know the people who are in charge and running those places you know they get started in the middle of summer. Yeah. You're not in gear by July. You're going to be so far behind GONNA have a rough year. Higher. filthier there were. Some drive-thru haunts you want to go through a drive through haunt picture maybe. Just a touch your car better. Not I know I want because I know how bad corn Syrup is for paint jobs on cars yeah. I don't know. Excited about that I? Mean I guess if they did it like, Hey, ride style where like no one actually comes up to the car and touches it. That's not how they roll at the Bates Motel. They come right up to you. The can't do that now because. I WanNa, hit any actors with my car. Obviously, you would be going at like that's the thing it's like you drive your own car seven directing you have you sign a thing where like if you run over one of the actors You. There are. Lots of drive through entertainment. Nobody thinks about those things. Nobody's foot gets run over. Yeah. That's a big deal. See working on a house we're used to like chaos happening because it's Halloween people are drinking insure. End when people are scared they first reactions, I mean I've had some pretty crazy experiences haunted houses with people and their bodily fluids you know. It was someone you're going through with no somebody. I several people that I was they were the patrons I was. We made them pay their pants. Yes, that's good I. Guess. Not for them, for them. Because then there's a puddle after deal with hit. Yes. I've been things like people have hit me. So it's like someone would hit me with their car. I've been kicked been headbutted really. Did, did he get escorted out? Yes sees what happens when you hit on actors new new spend sixty dollars for nothing in. You have to leave I mean to his credit I was towards the end of the haunts. Through most of us, we just saved US what he wanted to go out with A. Give me a nice head to remember and by it sucks. I mean it was right. All those people are. Sometimes. I would break and when people were really drunk or if I was really like afraid, they were going to hit me I would break character and be like you pay to be here right? Like you paid for this experience. Yeah. I. Don't know if that's GONNA deter them though. Well then I also like go get security. Just, drop character, and that's my are tip to any hunters that are listening have like escape doors in each scene, somebody can duck out. In don't keep. Your weird voice dreicer. So they know it serious drop then be like that's not cool. No one's going to be hitting anybody this year. GonNa be going through any haunts this year there's there's not. That I. Know of unless there. I mean I'm sure there are some L. Some of them are open. I'm seeing the one instagram and I'm like, how does that work I mean a place that is that when? I was there. It was hard to breathe pre pandemic because it was in a underground place with no ventilation. Would actually help in that situation you. Could stay in that area for a long time. Zone does actress I'm thinking about the actors I mean the actors there every night with all these people coming through. One person to go through man it's like it's all the you know you're essentially an essential worker at that at that. Really. Haunted houses are like extra terrifying this year because you could die if you got co did. Any one of those professions that people have where there is a steady stream of strangers say that five times fast did it again steady stream of Strangers Alyssa? Coming through you know like, where like like people who work as any kind of customer service job? Any kind of restaurant any kind of supermarket. Like literally, you're just standing there all day long with Rando, people coming through my heart goes out to all of them. Yeah. We've been really thinking about people that have to have to do like especially the grocery workers and stuff like that. They were there from the beginning dealing with us and it's really it's scary and it does make me realize the things that I have and one thing I wanted to do and I brought you on was just to say thank you so much. I'm so glad that I am quarantined with you. We're very lucky to have the situation that we have I, I've. Heard you're working you've been working very, very hard. So many people out there who are who are working so hard for. For whatever they have like, I feel for all the people who don't have a steady paycheck coming in all the people who are struggling through this time you know especially with all the crazy stuff beyond just colbrad going on in the world. With I just wrote it this weekend. That was something that got done. It feel. For about an hour and a half. A lot of now who had to stand in line, but everybody had their masks on. One person got turned away. There was one person who walked up without a massacre. US older woman and unfortunately she she made kind of a stink about it instead of going to get her mask. By reducing, she acted like a Karen. Oh Now Karen status she was just very a lot of huffing and puffing, okay she had to walk back to her car to get her mask. They're keeping themselves in check now I don't know maybe. I. You know I haven't really cross paths with many Karen my time. No. White man was I suppose when you're well, I think the only time that we would run across them as when we're working in retail right when I was working at best buy for example, there is a good amount of because they see you as lower status when they are accuster on your employees a retail store, it also is the scenario. There has to be like a perfect storm of situations to I'll tell. Merge I was so guilty of it when I was younger. I try to work. Well. Here's what he did. I would go like, say to my hot topic to return something if they'd be like, oh, we can't really take this. It'd be like look I could go get my mom who's at boss cavs right now. Little Carrot Junior. Or we could just do this and your day will be so easy. Karen though is it I mean like my mom all when she wanted to she when she wanted to refund you better believe like my mom once we had.

Trump and the GOP Campaign Against Reality

"The president and his allies decided on closing message for the final days of the campaign wine about social media pretend the pandemic is over for more on this. It's time for a closer look. There's a lot you can say about Donald Trump's inner circle and the leadership of the Modern Republican Party. But when you boil it down, it's basically just a collection of shy can't take Weirdos. Then people who collect ceramic pigs in sit by their windows writing down license plate numbers for no reason take for example House Minority Leader Kevin, McCarthy. You showed up to one of trump's rallies yesterday claimed republicans are going to take back the House McCarthy then belched up this I think English sentence about House Speaker Nancy, Pelosi a watch you watch Nancy Pelosi hand. And I promise you this. I won't thank her with it but I'll banged the into the socialism and yes to America. What No. I'll bang end to the socialism and yes to America, that sounds like a poorly translated leaflet dropped on Moscow during the Cold War why all these guys talk like rip off dollar store. Action. Figures made in. Eastern Europe. Your grandma will get you for Christmas. Oh Wow. It's a fuzz goodyear. Let me pull the string. The leaders of the hundred gop beer. Basically just a bunch of goofy old buds. I said it pods. Take a guy is still working at your hometown bowling alley thirty years after high school because he gets free disco fries blessed all the shoe sporadic and huff and that is a lot. For example Republicans held a hearing on big tech companies yesterday just to complain about supposed social media. Bias against conservatives which it's not thing. Now, there are progressives like Elizabeth Warren Tonight's guest, Bernie Sanders you really do want to break up big tech monopolies that have consolidated too much power but Republicans just WanNa. whine about mean tweets they don't like the best example of that came from Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson when he complained about an obviously satirical tweet this Dorsey. You talked about your house toward misinformation and then you will you will block misinformation if it's about against civic integrity election interference or voter suppression give you a tweet. There was put up on twitter says Senator Ron. Johnson is my neighbor in strangle our dog buttons right in front of my four year old son and three year old daughter the Keith refused to investigate. This is a complete line, but important to retreat and note that there are more my lies to come. How could that not be a violation voice oppression? Obviously, if people think I'm strangling my neighbors. They may not show the polls that would be worse oppression and another thing Mr Dorsey last night by doorbell rang late at night. So went to answer when I opened the door there was a flame in bag APU on the front step. So I tried to stamp out the fire but I got poo all over my shoes this clearly enact the voter suppression by the Neighborhood Teens because if I pooh-poohed on my shoes, I'll be too embarrassed to go vote. The bigger problem here is Ron Johnson thinks his constituents might actually believe that he strangled his neighbor's dog and Yeah. Okay and kind of see it. With said. Jack Dorsey looks like a dog serial killer. Like straight up a guy who together multiple dogs. in Ron Johnson's corn chowder brain joke tweet about a senators voter suppression. But invalidating mail in ballots and making people wait hours to vote isn't he's like a guy parks is BMW in a fire lane then loses when his targets tone Boris Suppression How am I supposed to get to the polling place now and then there was Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn who asked the CEO of Google if the company was still employing someone who criticized her is a blight Lemoyne one of your engineers still working with you. Senator familiar with his name is a name as an employee I'm not sure these employees. well, he has had very unconscious things to say about me and I was just wondering if you all still. Kept him working they are man Fox News is right. Canceled Culture is out of control. She sounds like she's asking to speak to the manager about a sales assistant at Costco is Madison still working here. She had very unkind things to say about me when I tried to sample the pizza rolls in the frozen I'll very hurtful things about how I'm not supposed to open the box. This is a fundamental reality of the modern GOP they're all donald trump. He complains about social media they complain about social media even though most of them don't have the tech savvy to handle the laundry room bulletin board coffee, table for sale what the hell does Obioma this is unfair.

Dr. Timothy Johnston On Taking Your Customer Service To The Next Level

"A Nice Guy Community welcome back. Welcome back. It is strict on today and you are in for a treat today not just because I'm sitting in for Doug, it's also because I get to talk to Dr Timothy Johnston and award award-winning businessman lecturer published author in dental trade journals his business or dental center is the recipient of several prestigious awards is known for its excellent customer service Yod local community. He is a professional member of numerous Dental Association's personally received the Healthcare Heroes Award, and before you go running the other way because you know you hear dentist let me tell you. We're not talking just about Dennis today. Dr Johnson is also an international bestselling author of Ring Bell for service. He has some brilliant insights into succeeding in any business that depends on customer service. How are you doing today Dr Johnston I'm just fine. Thanks. Thanks for having me in absolutely absolutely, and you know we talk a lot about customer service on the Nice guys on business obviously as a dentist, it's Kinda critical isn't it? It really is and this is interview is not meant to really pertain so much the dental office because I've been doing that for years but one else I've learned from being. In terms of in terms of everything, but really what it means to be a dentist and take that experience. So to speak. I love that and again, your book. Ring Bell for service. It has some really really great insights and I'm sure lots of great ideas that you have realized over thirty years in business So the first one I wanted to touch on that you bring up in the book is, why is the customer not always right? It goes without saying that the customer is not always right. The thing that makes it stand out so much to me is when a customer client customer or anybody comes in and thinks he knows you, he thinks that his his take on the world is what's driving the whole thing. For example guy comes into my office. This is in a chapter in my book and before I can even. Kevin brought to the back. He stands up and he says I need to talk to the doctor right away. And I'm walking Brown and I hear this I step out and I'd say who I am Dr Johnston and I'll be seeing you come back this way we talk about if you like he has no, I need you to come out here. So I, walk out in the waiting room on it I stand there he goes I need to talk to you for minute about this TV. So I look in on TV is just a commercial again you the. Commercial. I don't understand it's commercial for something, and if you WANNA, come back, we could talk about not discuss it in front of these other patients here. He has not before this commercial. This was tuned to Fox News and I cannot believe you're playing Fox News. I said Ob size it today it's Fox. News. Tomorrow could be discovery channel the next day and might be you know who knows what? It's something different every day my receptionist controls it's not me. It's just whatever it is. I. Said if backup Santa Surprise that it's not the discovery channel because we we subscribe to that too and four days out of five of seems to be tuned into something dental. So but either as May. Come back. We'll talk about your needs and everything is going to go on and he says, no, you don't understand I could not possibly be a part of this in a dental office from someone who is preaching as politics out to everybody else. At this point I had to make a decision was this going to be a lifetime relationship with this guy or was it gonna be hi and bye because if I decided to keep them on to story for live longer and I was going to bend my ways to make him you know, yes, I could change the channel but if I was gonna bend over backwards to make this one person. Happy. was that going to be what my my position was going to be for the day? And you know flash of lightning ever only happens about once every five years I said well, you know what? If that's your position you can see the door right there. And he looked at me and he looked over behind him with the door said, wait a minute and might be the straight. You gotta let a perfectly good patient go because you won't change the TV station has no no, I'll just let you go but I won't let these perfectly good patients go. Ooh, good answer. I thought it was just a flash of lay. It just came to me and he turn on his heels and he huffed and puffed and slam the doors and Audi went, and there was two people sitting there in the waiting room. They were both patients of mine for years and they both looked at me at applauded me lately it likes to say good job Tim good job. So my point is you can't be everything to everybody the customer is not always right. We hear that time and time again, the customer's always right the customer's always right. But in reality I have to make my plans for ninety nine percent of the audience in for the one percent I've gotta them go and it was some of the best decisions I've ever made I've done it maybe five times in my life. I've been in practice for thirty thirty one years. It's a rare thing but we don't click with somebody really don't click and that's the times when I have to say you know what you're out of here and this is one of those times.

"Okay I bran I have to say I'm so excited to have you on the show I'm so excited to meet you and I have to tell this little story that you and I, were just talking about where we started recording. So for those of you out there I think you're all pretty familiar that I am a binge TV watcher and Especially as an entrepreneur and so much of my work you know when you have a digital company, everything is on the computer, right? So I'm just at home glued to my computer all the time and they always have TV going I. always have shows on or documentaries or news in I had come across this show. There was fantastic and binged the whole thing to seasons and got it I I thought the show was new because I had murdered it before. So I was like, oh my gosh, when is the next season show spin tastic and only find out the show is actually your years old and there were no more seasons and I was heartbroken. Next thing I know maybe five days later I get this email from this beautiful person about collaborating doing a podcast. Going on her podcast in a google her of course, and you are from the show but yes. Like you so crazy the show is called six it is it was so much fun. I mean, it's exactly my kind of show like high action, all of that. I love. How does that happen out of all the people in the world get an email five days later that to me is as. Easy but yeah. My Name's Bryanne. We say that like You I those people that look at me and like I've seen you before I don't know what it's from I'm yeah. I've been pretty much on every show you can imagine and movie you just wouldn't know me. Still working actor but Yeah. I, just started this new podcast called secret life podcast because. In March right in for the quarantine hit. I released this article in Huff post is called. I am a sex and love addict, and this is how I knew. And I decided to put myself out there at my years of sobriety and I thought the world was going to stop and everyone was going to applaud me or nothing happens. So it really reminded me how small we are in this world and it and I woke up the next morning and I thought secret life podcasts other people's secrets I connect to other people during this. Tumultuous time that we're going through and it's been such a blessing in that what is what made me reach out to you to another female podcast? You're talking about recovery talking about themselves better as a person. So yeah, that's a little bit about me I. Love that. So I have to tell you too. I was super excited. When I googled, you were excited to see you are about sex and love addiction because especially the love addiction part because I feel like certainly in the last several years, sex addiction is getting more attention. It's definitely becoming more prominent in conversation, which is so. freaking necessary fell necessary and at the same time I think that for women a lot of women, it does tend to feel more on the love addiction side in just those negative habits but you don't know that certainly when you're in the midst of it when you're just having bad relationship after bad relationship, you know what I mean you don't understand that it really is a negative and damaging pattern that you're repeating over and over again and I didn't realize it until many many years into my sobriety. I was probably seven eight, nine years maybe before it dawned on me like, okay well. This is what I've been doing. I'm picking why do I keep picking this kind of person or this unavailable person? How the Sperm Donation Industry is Breaking Families

"Last month a wired magazine story described a storm that's brewing in the world of sperm donation as at home. DNA, test kits become more popular people all over the world are making unexpected family discoveries. These discoveries apparently have a name NPR. Or Non Parental events at home DNA test takers are discovering DADS or half siblings or dozens of kids that they never knew about, and they're mostly not happy about it. In fact, a growing subculture complete with lobbying organizations self help literature and support groups is emerging for people making these unwelcomed genetic discoveries. One therapist juice developed a podcast dedicated to helping people walk through these kinds of situations told wired that people who uncover hidden family secrets through DNA. Testing often exhibit the classic cycle of grief after the initial shock comes anger and. Depression, their stories are all the reasons we need to take a sober minded look at sperm donation a practice that goes largely unquestioned in Western societies. The four billion dollar sperm donation industry is shockingly unregulated especially in the US children born from sperm donors are among the victims of the bad ideas of the sexual revolution. They do not have the legal right to request information about their biological fathers on the turn eighteen, which means that in most states, these children don't even have a right to their own family medical histories, of course, anyone. Who opposes or even questions assisted reproduction technologies like sperm donation are often called prudish cast his grumpy old GRANDPA huffing about a teenager blue hair after all we're told it's not really harming anyone in reality. However, there are plenty of reasons to oppose sperm donation even if we don't find the practice achey first of all, the industry dehumanizes men god-given ability to procreate transformed into a crude financial transaction as is the case with egg donation. The way the product is marketed dehumanizes image bearers, reducing them to a list of so-called desirable qualities. Like. Height hair-color supposed athletic ability or where they went to college. This isn't some enlighten new way to make babies. It's rebranded eugenics. Sperm donation also dehumanizes children robbing them the right to know who their dad is and leaving them in the dark as to whether or not. Their Dad even knows they exist in fact, the industry relies on such secrecy. The FDA places no rules on how many children a sperm bank allows to be born from just one donor while some banks might impose their own limits the country's largest sperm bank which. Is in California limits to twenty five to thirty family units per man I family unit by the way could include multiples meaning that a set of twins or triplets only counts as one unit while some activists have been calling for more regulation on the sperm donation industry for years the problems inherent to the system that's corrupt from the ground up won't be regulated away the corruption and the sperm donation industries rooted in its very warped view of human sexuality and the Family God's designed for family is baked into the very nature of. Reality like gravity children hunger for connection with your parents. For example, study suggests that many adoptees do better emotionally and socially when they know who their biological parents are and understand the adoption process. But of course, sperm donation doesn't repair a fracture like adoption does rather it creates the fracture permitting even incentivizing a view of children as products and this country eighty percent of customers who use sperm banks are either same sex couples who've intentionally chosen a sterile union only demand children or women intentionally pursuing single motherhood despite the overwhelming scientific literature that. Shows kids do best with both a mom and a dad or as the headline of a New Yorker article. Put It years ago Dan Quayle was right. This wired article just tells what is in fact in old story just with new variables of people who long for family but are suffering in a culture where the family has become. So broken whenever children and family building turned into big business trails of grieving people are left behind reeling from what we now call non parental events the broken us at the heart of the sperm. Donation Industry begins with the man who've used pornography to sell genetic product and it ends with a child shocked to learn that his dad isn't really his dad olive which serves to remind us that just because something is culturally normal does not mean that it should be true moral clarity cannot come from whether or not we find something weird or icky that kind of thing changes it can only come from God's created intent for the world for his image bearers, which is in his own words and is proven time after time to be.

4.2-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Near Los Angeles

"We'll see another earthquake in the next month. That's justice, big or even larger than the 4.2 quake that shook people up this morning, including myself, this about a one in 10 shots. Susan Huff is a research seismologists with the U. S Geological Survey when it can be somewhat higher than usual. That's because this after shot sequence is more energetic than usual. And so that boost the numbers off a little bit, But that The odds of something happening are it's more likely to happen soon after the initial 4.2 So the more time goes by the more that probability drops, no reports of damage following the earthquake and many aftershocks, including one with a magnitude of 3.8 magnitude 4.2 earthquake is pretty garden variety in California, and this one is only we're only here because this one happened in the middle of a populated area, so obviously it gets our attention. It reminds us that Earthquakes happen and bigger picture possible. It's also a reminder to prepare and make sure you have several days of food, water and other supplies to get by. Should've big earthquake hit Claudia Pesky

Imran Amed and Tim Blanks on Where Fashion Goes From Here

"Hi, this is Ron Ahmed founder and CEO of the business of fashion and welcome to the podcast. Each season after fashion Mumbai. Sit Down with Tim planks, and we hash out what we've learned what we've observed and what we've taken away from the latest season, a fashion shows of course this season was completely different, but it was still worth having a catch up with Tim to explore. Fashion goes from here here's. Tim Blanks inside fashioned. Everybody a welcome to be oh ethel lives. I'm here with Tim blanks our editor at large, and you know usually around this time of year, Tim and I have spent. Several weeks on end in the back of a car. Navigating Fashion Week. And so we thought well. We can't do that this year, but Tim, I've still been keeping in touch of course and We usually record podcast conversation. Just reflecting on the fashion season that was and so we thought well. There's still a lot to talk about so I asked him. To join me, welcome Tim. I am Ron. How're you doing good? Good I like your shirt. He said mutually good. I'm seeing. New, thing glamour. Lack Raw Glam rock. Okay Difference. I'm not capable of climate, but I am capable of Glam rock some. Well. Our conversation today is called where it is fashion. Go from here and I know it's something that's been. On your mind a lot, it's certainly been on my mind but before we dive into that specifically you were I guess four months foreign a bit months into lockdown now or limited I, I sort of I date the transitional moment I came back from Paris on Much A. Figure that March the was the day that you could feel the storm, clouds had kind of well and truly Gabid of the fashion so I kind of date everything for much. The I think the last time that we saw anybody actually in our flat was March the seven nine. And said however many citizens. Zana's how how however long it is since we haven't seen anybody. and everything's being done like this kind of digitally signed the last time you and I saw each other in person was record our podcast for the end of that season and I. You know I don't know. I. Don't know if you remember what we talked about. It was obviously a very strange moment, and we didn't know what was about come, but one of the questions that we were grappling with. was whether we would all look back at that fashion week in and wonder if it was irresponsible for all of us to be sitting in a snuggled up next to each other at fashion, shows and dinners while this. Virus was spreading and what we know now tim is virus was spreading. It was readying actively in Italy and in France just as fashion week was going on so looking back now. What what do you think? I. I wasn't thinking irresponsible I mean there was. But because you know, we live Italy the the day we left Italy giorgione cancel the show. And Joe Digitally and there was a little bit of kind of. Huffing and puffing about that and Oh let's so dramatic whatever and I and then the airport in Milan at night was like. The fall of Saigon It was just so crazy. Wasn't people trying to get out of the country? Where was people trying to get out of the county? No because they were panicking about virus necessary. Just it was a set. It was sense of. Some enormous. Ominous! Force? and then getting to Paris and finding that you know people were saying. Shall we shop wait? You'll have a show in nothing. Really the either a couple of shows cancel. was still you know I always competitive? This that whole moment in World War Two that was? One that was a sinkhole. The phony war before the war actually started. There was moment where everybody knew that was going to be a war, but it hadn't happened, so they were kind of. Suspended animation and that's kind of what it was. Td that this because. I don't think anybody knew it was gonNA. Be As bad as it turned out to be at coins. But still it was a solo. Remember I was in the I. Requirements often before his show. He said to me. You think this is the one. And I said well. Do you and I just didn't know that point, and and you know what the weird thing is. Allocating many months later, this March April may June five months later. We still don't know because I. Feel, the feel it. Still the the doctors who will leading out shaping our opinions on this I don't think. Completely show what it is at dinner would. It just it just feels you know when you read. Eddie meteorologists is so excited by this virus, because it is such a challenge and a multi focal. It's just this incredible. Opportunity to delve deep into something that human beings have never encountered before and inside the fashion industry has just kind. I'm concerned is still like everybody else is still not this dilemma. What's going to happen? But I think we do know that this is the one I mean. There may be others at come after this based on what I've been reading, but this pandemic is shaping up to be you know one of those. Collective experiences of complete. Change, yeah, an and I think it's at fifteen million cases now. You know hundreds of thousands of people at I mean I think it's as you said I. Don't think any of us knew back then. How bad it was going to be, but it's certainly. It's certainly shaping up to be much much worse than I think. Many of us expected I. Mean I think when I was talking to a couple of CEO's in this over closing. We thought we were closing our stores down for a couple of weeks. And then obviously that turned into months. And you know the all the talk about first-wave second-wave I am using the Spanish flu as a as a as a sort of. Precursor. You know the fact that the first wave was in the full in there was a summer at the second wave was in the following fool. Could Lord I mean. We have no idea of what we could be looking at in. Another four or five months so. Yeah. It's A. It's being A. It's been a challenge I. Think Real, good huge challenge for the everybody on every level of every life almost everywhere in the world. And the nothing like that has ever happened.

"We are going to discuss the situation in Libya so a few weeks ago, we had written about the one thousand Russian mercenaries that had arrived in country there, and the presence. Presence of unmarked MiG fighters, so I wanted to have Tony. Maybe you can set the stage for us. It's a very complicated battlespace that is emerging there with alliances that are very fluid, and what is really become a showcase or a testbed for a war of the future. So why don't you set up the security situation for us? And then we'll dig in and and talk about how the aircraft there are being used. Vive semis up. Pretty Fatty. That Jen. This harks back to the Arab spring, and the and the impact of that event across the Middle East and North Africa and also the fall of Colonel Gadhafi, and since then we've had this. On and off civil war, but now sort of developed into essentially two major sides who got the Libyan national? Army controlled by lethal halftime who made significant gains from his base in Benghazi sweeping across the country, and then we have the government of National Accord, which is a U N backed government which which? Controls Tripoli for a long time. Half ta basic swept across, took control of most of the oilfields on a much control of Libya, but then in recent months we've seen a resurgence of the genie's power, mainly, because it's backed by Turkish took a lot of effort into this campaign, and they've been fighting back, and we've seen sort of the GNA taking control of fields and towns across the area so particularly in the western half of the country the Libyan National Army Khalifa's army. has the backing of countries like the United. I M, Ritz Egypt and of course strain Russia, so it was sort of seeing this strange war. Complicated woman different sides. Some countries are undecided about which side to take. Which side is going to win. It's caught up in cobweb of mercenary groups and. Now introducing high levels of technology we're seeing. UAV's being used these Russian aircraft advance, Ground Base, defense systems, and also mercenary troops, being used in different ways and being bought in from different parts of of the Middle East to come and fight there. It's just it's become a little bit like Syria, but not quite the haphazard situation that has developed the. Brandon. Where is the US in this equation? A good question. It's The the best answer right now is that it's complicated. ostensibly the US does support the GNA because that is the internationally recognized UN backed. Government but It's important to remember that general huff. Tar is a creature of the United States in a sense He did spend eighteen years here in northern Virginia It said that he was working with the federal government for most of that time, if not all of that time and improving their understanding of events in North Africa during the latter years of the Gadhafi regime. So you know there have been a formal discussions between president. President, trump and half tar. They've actually spoken to one another there has there has been some limited at least diplomatic cooperation, but the US has stopped short of endorsing the as legitimate governments over the DNA so one more way Tony kind of had alluded to it a to it already one more way in which this is at all levels diplomatic, military, strategic, a very very fluid, dynamic, strange, complicated situation. That's unfolding there in Libya. Let's talk a little bit about the MiGs. We started to see satellite imagery of Russian aircraft landing on an airbase Dan. Can you bring us up to speed and give some detail about how they arrived in what happened to them after they came in? Yeah, so this is a the great. The great mystery of the conflict right now so in mid May satellite imagery showed that a MiG twenty nine had appeared at L. Giuffra. Airbase in central Libya and anyone that has access to the Internet can quickly find out. That Libya doesn't have MiG twenty nine fulcrum. So, where did this come from remarkably? Remarkably there had been some which essentially called rent a rumor intelligence, and the previous day's out MiG twenty nine, transiting from Russia to Syria, and then they just of stopped, and then a couple of days later. Oh, there it is! There's the MiG twenty nine in Libya and so people have been trying to piece I back, you know. Where did these come from? Who supplied them? And eventually on Africans in the US confirmed that they were rushing that they came from Russia, they flew through Iran and Syria and onwards syllabi. They went it. Was You know they say fourteen MiG twenty nine s you twenty fours. The mixture that is up for debate. There's been at least six twenty nine seen in Syria at the same time there was allegedly transiting. Their markings are painted over so these. Are you know I'm I'm going to be the first one to steal fray. Sorry guys the. Little Green jets. I got there first. So these. Are you know? Plausible deniability, whose are they really you know the most likely operated by Russians some people say that they're Belarusian. But they're almost certainly not. Unless secret training program kicks a long time to train foale. Gen fighter. These are not pilots in there. Almost certainly not Arab pilots in general. They were meant to tip the balance, but we haven't really seen them in action much so far. So what have you seen with them? Since and I understand, there are also some issue twenty fours in the region. Yeah so Brennan and I were talking about this. There's only been one confirmed action. They were used they hit a GNA convoy. Just recently that was transiting. Run the Oil Crescent, but mostly they seem to be kind of flying over top of their their bases, and they're just being held in reserve, almost a most satellite imagery of a Alqadi. That has the twenty fours in shelters. They haven't left. They arrived. They went into the shelters and everytime. Imagery passes over there, so they're not seeing not gone flying mission they just it was like a morale boost, and then they've stopped because I'm assuming losing one of the so soon into the conflict would probably be a PR move than when they arrived.

"I love it. Okay so I just finished recording with Sadie and Christian and today in the office is Jenna and Ashley who tours and our friend Barrett who works out of the office sometimes and while we were recording. They overheard me repeating the part. Where Christian and sating I agreed on the bait used to catch him is the bait. You used to keep him and Ashley you've been married. How long sixteen almost seventeen years? It'll be seventeen in July. Okay and I made you come in here and get on the microphone. Barrett's gone or he'd be on here as well. Tell me when you say that. Do you agree with that in a dating place that the who you are when you are dating someone needs to be as a person who you are when. Y'All get engaged and get married that you need to be true to who you are first and then as you're in as you're going from dating to marriage. Oh absolutely I as I heard you say that statement I was like. Yeah that really applies in dating like who you are on date to and who you are on date ten and who you are on the night he proposes needs to be all the same you and and because you don't want a bait and switch yes that's that's a lack of integrity. We don't WANNA do that. The second thought I had was When you get married and as you live life together and as you continue to grow and change and transform like we we all want to do. If the bait you used to catch him was your stunning good. Looks at twenty two When you turn forty some of those will have changed and if you go through a season of loss and you deal with a you know if you struggle with depression or if you become ill and you know there are things that happen in our lives seasons that we walk through that are going to change us as as the humans that we are and our commitment and marriage is to stay true to each other as we continue to grow together right and so. I never want to well and I'll be honest. Sometimes I do look at myself as an almost forty year old and think. Oh you know the ways that I'm different from WHO I was when we first met. Yeah those can feel like insurmountable gaps sometimes But but they're not because we are now we're committed to each other. Yeah This Day. Yeah so I love that. I was like literally as soon as you said it to me when I walked out of the studio and we were sitting in working on something else I was like we have to go back in the studio and say this because I do want men and women to hear what you are not saying is is to be a different person in your fifteen year. Like the person you're married to and living with should experience the fullness of who you are do not hide who you are right whether you're dating engaged or married but do not fall under any combination or shame or trap of my body needs to look like this in order to or my. I mean I have a friend who was a lawyer when they got married and then she stayed home with their kids right. If if the only thing he liked was her professional life that was going to CIA. Everything's GonNa Change. Yeah I sat with a counselor. That's not my counselor. There's just a friend a couple of months ago and he said I'm on my fifth marriage and I told you this. No He's on my fifth marriage and I was like what and he's like to the same person but we love you. I every six years or so. Our marriage changes. It's reinvented and yeah. Yeah you maintain that commitment to each other in you. Can you maintain the commitment to yourself to keep growing earning and being a better you? Yeah we you say the part the also talked about about physical. How physical you get in relationships. Oh yeah that. There's kind of the the flip side or an additional side to that is if if you If kind of part of that quote Unquote Bait. You used to catch more women. Right is is is kind of crossing boundaries that you wouldn't normally cross physically than the expectation of continuing that type of behavior Is is kind of your responsibility at that. Point to manage that expectation and so Especially in this dating relationships Knowing yourself and knowing those boundaries and you know willingness to to just accept the responsibility for the for we decide to be in those moments. Yeah the super important is thinking. Gosh I thought that was so valuable. The conversation that Y'all had in the office while I was in the studio about like the what you used to bait him as what you'll use to keep him what used to catch him. The bail us to keep them is very good. When you're thinking about are you being full yourself in the stating relationship in this engagement in this marriage yes when it comes to a committed relationship you do not have to be tied to who I was when I met him or her as who I have to be. Today you're allowed to grow and change one hundred percent. Okay well at listen. Just thank you for your wisdom. I'd like to thank you. Bear it I was going to apologize for eavesdropping but not anymore. Now that's so I mean there's only door between me and you didn't realize how well you could hear it. They are able to repeat. Things does carry. I was very loud because I was excited. That's gotta be weird to only here half the conversation. It's great you. Just it's such a good teaser. So when I get to listen to the episode I don't know what do you Christian added. That's right well. Thank you.

I guess two years ago I go to the beach with Laney's Aaron Gracie they're like my best friends and the day before I met is kind of comical but it really makes better I have broken out with the guy had been dating and I like was kind of upset about it and I knew I need to take a break from dating. All this stuff and so- lady it was like. Oh Yeah you're GONNA take riverdale. Put the camera in my face and I will tell the camera that I'm not dating anybody until next year and you can pick out my outfit on the first day so lanee search recording love lady so much. I know she is so funny. So she's recorded man. I'm like a this is sadie dated anybody next year and you can pick our the Alpha and all that stuff so anyways as CEO this and then the next day No the next day very next day doing wrong. I just need to make a public pronouncement but I'm not dating and then the next day video you happen. So she said that and then the next day his Christians cousin blakely you know. He said he has five because she message man. Instagram was like hey you know and I knew her from being friends. Abella sterling she said. Hey What are you doing? I see your side. We should hang and I was like. Yeah actually we're going crowd hunting tonight. You should blakely brought Christian crab hunting and I'm not kidding. I'm like I literally did this. As soon as I saw Christian I turned unloads at Laney and as a delete the video. Funny but it did lead by trash at never having been giving it the friend is like. Sadie like you know like you do not need to take anybody who like steer clear and so did I not avoid you. She so she avoided me all night and I was trying to make it a point to hang out like to kind of walk by some of her friends on the beach that way. I did not look like I was to whatever the word and then I was like. Oh no he's like Sir Gracie right right right Oh conflicted. The whole night will then by the end of the night. We were all as are talking. Like Kirsten comes up to me in these like. Hey Do you know that? I'm the only one in my family that you don't follow on instagram. Oh my gosh I still. I don't know why I said that it's very unlikely to say something like that. And so's Goto in the moment. I get it. Yeah it was just the moment and I said Oh really ha well. That's weird then. "You're staying at the house by myself. I like You know and I started cheering browse like. Oh No oh no let let it out. Tell me what's up and I was like I miss my girlfriends. I like just had this moment to just just recognize the fact that we're in a new place and I miss my friends and that's okay because they are amazing but at the same time in that moment of like Kinda breaking down in a sense I realize like okay. I still have all those friends. I still have those people. They're just not here right now and so I don't. I cannot take the pressure on myself to have to build a whole new friend. Group is still have friends or just not right here and I just like you know I think sometimes you can. Only I don't have anybody don't have any friends but if you had them where you let you do have friends you do have people you do have your phone. You can call them but we do. Have this desire to meet new people right and so I was like okay. I'm just like hoped that like somebody like Ray. Just get new friends and stuff like this and it's one of those things where you know the things that God answers and you're like I don't even know that prayed for that I truly and you'd God knows desire that but I don't even know that I prefer that and he's so kind because that day like two girls texted me separately. Hey welcome to town if you WANNA go get coffee anytime and it was just so sweet and so Ivan building relationships like that and Actually SOMEBODY INVITED TO GALLONS DAVID. Hardie the other day rose a bit so sweet and welcoming here and that's the other beauty to college town is I mean. They're just people who are just fun. They're just like so for each other and and the same crazy season of life and they've been welcome me into it so that's been really sweet. I mean it just feels like we talk a little bit about. I heard you say recently that you kind of always wanted the college experience but didn't get it and now the Lord Kinda like handed you this random college experience that you have predicted another thing that I don't know that a prayed for that I totally desired literally said this alike Mama to my friends and like everybody like am I close. Her may say this. So it's really comical that it happened but whenever like everybody was going to college I moved to Nashville instead of going to college I was like Oh like I just kind of went that college experience you know and I was like but maybe like one day. I'll just go live in a college town and just like I'm a college student. He said that yours. And so whenever Decided WE'RE GONNA get married November and it was like hitting me that I'm GonNa live at in a college town Isla like Oh my gosh. It's happening dreams are coming through. Like I should not be complaining about being cutch because I literally one of the reporters and it has been seriously awesome. I just had one day of like. Oh no I'm in a new place. This is crazy Had A long talk about it and I was like all right. We're good to go. Let's robot warrior go can do. This is going to be fine. Tell me okay so now we tell the story of how you met because I love it. I love the DM part. I love all of it. So we'll have. Y'All told us like a thousand times. You know how to do this very well without me. Interrupting we we love story it makes us laugh. Okay do you WanNa do you WANNA television store? Okay okay so this is kind of a crazy story because I had never met Kirsch in but I didn't know of Christian just because Christian was friends with Bella for like years since I know that your your friends with Bela Christian. Well we'll so what happened was one of Sadi's best friends growing up. Her parents retired and moved to Like did the neighboring town of where I was from into my whole family and my cousins. Everyone kind of got to know her then. Bell came and visited her at one summer. And then that's how I got into. Also we we this prisoner. This is like back in it way. Up But Way Back like that friend who ended up in the whole reason she met Christian is because me and her were flying back from Dominican Republic and I like a mission trip and she was destined. I was going to Louisiana so me and her split up in the airport and she went to the terminal where Christian happened to be back to Destin and they I would there that day like four years ago. Never met all your things happening my and and like so. I have five cousins. That were all best friends and we recognize her because we knew her from the city. So then I think my younger brother actually in going over and asking her what she was doing fly into our little airport. I am your brother who lives here in Nashville Right. Because he's a vandy boy. Yes baseball player. I love those guys. We we met her there and then I think that was in like wasn't that like December or something. Yeah that was like in his day and becoming friends about why I never met any of them and I was just like that was in the time of its traveling living in Nashville so they kind of had this issue I kinda just zoom think will then won an and I also had always begged to invite Sadie but they just can't yes. He was beautiful. I agree with you. I should tell sadie Don.

"Move is dad? Lives like two blocks from here and he's still tallies car every day. Really an official giant wasted like it has to take longer to get to your car. Move Your car from where it is. Park your car The truth is that I'm generally doing things before I come over here but one of the things that I've discovered wild doing these things. Is that late life? I've become a honker. Put It on the poll at Lebatardshow. You become a honker because I'm mad at a couple of different things. That happen. One of them is. These uber drivers the Uber. Drivers are making me crazy thinking that they don't have to abide by any laws whatsoever the other one. That's making me crazy is there has not been a stop light anywhere in America. Where someone's not on their phone. There's not anywhere in America where there's not a stop light that someone in their telephone and not seeing that the light. I put it. Put this on the poll as well. I understand how old all this sounds with your window down while shaking a fist. Jeez this is a get off my lawn moment. It really is and I'm a lost man. This show has the first hour of the show. I called Mark Cake. Men CAKE IS I. I had James Harden on the wrong all star team and before you say anything STU gods. You're calling Alex Korea for about a about a month. Now you're calling shortstop of the ask me. It's a preemptive measure nine fifty seven p. s. and that world series. Look I don't now. I make money moves. Put It on. The poll is reciting Aubrey Huff. Stats the most cowardly things. God is ever done. It was a bridge a bridge to you split. It was a bridge the LCS. And here's what we did against lefties. You'RE GONNA dip into his my college days. Blame people protect your loved ones and your valuables by installing blink cameras in and around your home. Does anyone want to talk about this? Aubrey huff story with me because I actually liked to discuss it. I think it's pretty interesting that the giants are saying here that somebody's public. Commentary is despicable enough that they don't want to celebrate with him in a reunion even though they're bringing all sorts of attention to this by banning him from their reunion thankfully every weekday. You have show on television where you could actually talk to. Smart people have interested in these dangerous conversation. Exactly Yeah I would love to watch that. How do you judge someone not by what they say by what they do? We're a nation of doers..

"But Aubrey huff for those of you who do not know. It was fairly startling to see him get hot at like he's an okay. Baseball player was an okay baseball player for his career. I don't believe he's an above average baseball player. I believe he's totally average to below average baseball player. Who happened to get hot during an enormously? Important time for the San Francisco giants and they won the world series and they won the world series because he was great during that season and that postseason and now the ten year reunion of that championship team is happening and Aubrey. Huff has not been invited back to the gay Back to celebrate with his teammates and remember with his teammates. And it's something that the giants are saying is not for his politics. Although he's been very vocal politically. It's because of some of the things that he has said about gender and race and now those two things end up being folded into politics in twenty twenty like they're supposed to be different things gender and race are supposed to be two things over here in politics are supposed to be over there but those things in a divided country where you've got you've got People fighting amid gender race. You've got it becoming politics but the giants are saying this is not about politics. This is about Aubrey huff. Just being generally despicable is is what the giants are saying and He wrote a book Baseball Junkie. The rise fall and redemption of a world series champion. He said he abused Adderall and because it had depression panic attacks thought about suicide. He says quote. I was an absolute scumbag. Most of my life He said he spent most of his career drinking gambling driving drunk. Faking Prescriptions Hid has habit from his wife bought clean urine from a friend to dodge drug testing. None of those are the reasons that Aubrey huff is not being invited back. The reasons are some things that he has said. The giants have a first base coach. Who's a woman? And among the things he has said is couldn't imagine taking baseball instruction from an ex female softball player have fun with that. And then he hashtag Brandon Crawford Brandon Belt and Buster Posey Got In trouble for wearing a thong in my own clubhouse when female reporters were present. Can't imagine how it will play out with a fulltime time female coach running around. This has Hashtag me too. And Hashtag believe all women written all over it What do you make of all that? Well off in that world series you so people are clearly attitude. Ninety four had a home run for B. is. He was good. He was a big reason The giants.

And it's got the lady that lady from the Senate race is going beyond with With the face jewelry she's going to be on and then you've got the other guy the other guy with a lady from one you know you know you know Illinois all right. No that's a reference awesome and it's like the camera lingering on the like Picard Day. Banner and it's like what they had to like. Make a big show of having that thing from that throwaway joke for that one episode. The Ice Jason. Yeah that didn't that look like a real toys R. US type situation and they're like oh they're now they're playing the flute music and that's from food episodes in the life and he had the life learned the flute right. "I can watch the whole thing and I was like all right. It was pretty good. It wasn't the Star Trek. I love but it was a fine show. I assume I'll go back and watch discovery point and I'll feel the same way picard. My feelings about it are it was it. Was I having clearly like install jobs like built from these little like nostalgia. Mouse traps are built for me. And I'm just GONNA keep keep getting my tail caught in them. Yeah anytime they can. Data Picard and data talking to each other in a dream and he's an old man. It's like you know what you specifically wrote that for me. I'm not made a stone. Of course I'm going to watch that. Yeah so I don't watch it. I you know to me star. Trek is about a certain thing. which is people sort of solving problems nonviolently and then they do clever star trek stuff to save the day and that is sort of what I like about Star Trek is? There's these rules that they they ask you star Trek asks you please invest in this very similar to Harry Potter. Actually they say. Please Invest Austin this universe. We're GONNA teach you a hundred things about this universe in order to watch the show you're GONNA learn how the transporters work in the transporters can't work if the shields are up and the tractor beam goes like this and this is what the weapons do you got to learn all that shit to understand star trek right but when the rules are consistent usually can generally yes once you learn that it's pays off because what happens is when you have those rules the best writing in Star Trek within the framework of those rules. They do something genuinely very clever. And you're just like damn that's like it's not like a fake clever thing. It's like the actually someone smart like thought of a clever way for them to use diplomacy and technology to solve this problem that they have that and they all sit around the table. A lot of the best dramatic scenes of Star Trek are the crew. which are they're all smart? Competent competent measured calm people sitting around the conference table talking about what to do and then they make a plan and they do the plan and the plan works. I I don't want to say like that's like the only good star trek episodes or or even the only. It's not like certainly not the only way to tell stories or do TV. But that's that's to me that's at the heart of Star Trek. That's the essence of it. That I personally I really like. And there's not a ton of other media like that like if I like. You can't really find that anywhere else and I think in the modern era in the two thousand ten and beyond. There's almost no appetite to make that. And so what everyone wants to star trek to be something else. They all want Star Trek Star wars or to be a space opera or a An action show or spy show or noir or something that it's not really and so to me. It feels like they sort of took the star Trek Trek. Ip and pasted onto onto an action show shits exploding and there's girl jumping on top of a staircase and the guide vomits vomits acid on her. And it's just like okay. Okay all right so then I got bad. It's not it's not that it's it was it was like I said I'm going to watch it. It's fine but this is not it. They're they're not interested in the special parts of Star Trek. They're interested in the sort of trappings. They like the production design of Star Trek. They're like what if they all wore these costumes and it looked like this but they're not interested in the like in the ideas of Star Trek. It doesn't feel like star. Trek looks like Star Trek. Well that's I think I made the right choice then in turning it off because I I I'm fine with the nostalgia type things not nostalgia but Like I like a good doctor who reference even though it's pandering injuring and the I honestly think the reason I haven't gotten into Star Trek is because I haven't tried it's you know it's always like okay. This is on in the background and it shouldn't be like that or so. I'm too old. I'm watching it wrong and I think it's interesting that there are it's like why aren't there shows like this. It feels like there was star Trek and then people liked the west wing because they were supposedly solving having problems and the problem was in the West Wing. It was smart smart people who are like super it was sort of comp competence porn in the same way star Trek but but they actually didn't solve problems and in fact they didn't even aspire to solve problems right in the industry west wing episode as well. We didn't do anything but we're a peace with it and it's like that that ABC fantasy has not been so great. There's also this thing. There's so many things about this. One thing I think about is for example. There's all kinds of art in media media movies from the past hundred years where you look back and you go. That's really there was there was really good and very important but also you know problematic in some ways to use that word. I love but you know gone with the wind. It's a good movie but like a lot of what's going on. There's pretty fucked up and what's funny is and so so one could make the argument in that case of well. You know. It's it's easy enough to throw gone with the wind under the bus it was a different time etc etc.. I in some ways. Almost the opposite is true with Star Trek where you can not appreciate how unusual to us was for the time that I feel like it was it was it was. It wasn't a show that was just always on the bubble of like just about getting canceled. Its three years but still someone usual. Yeah Oh yeah. Yeah All Star Trek. The original series did get cancelled and then all of the other ones were just like. It's a miracle that there was never a big. It was not a big success in the way like a Brady Brady bunch or something right yes of course right right. But of course like t t angie was was For a few seasons was time was a big big crossover. Primetime hit but but they all sort of weird distribution model that. I don't understand where it was on different. Networks in different illustrative syndicate. Also say about T- US though. Is that what you're saying here. Max it I I think. He's extremely interesting testing and for the time. Is it like genre fiction you do usually get a fair amount of world building and rules to help you understand what happens and doesn't happen in this universe and like you said with Harry Potter which Star Trek and actually enables you to operate. I think in a narrative efficient way where you don't have to say well. It isn't like every week they've got to go. Hey why is nobody talking about money. Right money's assault problem. Don't worry about that. We assume pretty much that there's usually some wackadoo hybrid rid people on like they're some combination of this extremely wild or an human species crossed with the human and there's innumerable examples of things that are closer to human than alien that they are. I still don't completely understand how wharf is in killing everybody but the point is you do have the vocabulary you jump into that and now now you could fairly efficiently tell these stories. They're not all going to be great pivot to now. Things have changed a lot. I the levers of power of changed a lot it used to be if you were NBC. See you offer to deal with somebody. And then that person that the budget to make this kind of show without continuity that could be written by different people you know what I mean so I just think the today a day you're gonNA get somebody like for example like no holly doing the Star Trek movie very excited about that. I mean the Disney Star Wars. They've played with this a little bit with the Star Wars stuff and apparently it looks like the results of that have not been great own trying to say is that today you can still do a lot of those things it is established Ip. It's not that differ marvel in the sense that you're really not allowed to create tuning new characters. You're going on previous characters that we own and then we we figure out how this all fits together. There's talk now of the emperor may be showing up in the next season of the man. delorean we're like a really but I think that's the difference. Is that now the difference. If it's I'm trying to say here is my had mad. I said this to Dan yesterday. Madman was where things really took a turn in some ways we I saw more than just like good ATV prestige. TV where you could see how people normally wouldn't think of doing TV was start doing TV. And then you flush for what ten years and look where we are now now like. TV's the place to be. That's the place David fincher can go and say. That was the best movie making experience I ever had was working with net flex right. So that's that's all changed a lot. Nobody wants to do episodic. Arctic village week stuff anymore. Well listen I don't want I've said this before on the on. I think we've talked with this idea before the show but like I don't want new star trek necessarily like as a fan. I want new things that make me feel the same way that Star Trek made me feel and unfortunately fortunately my verdict on the first episode of Picard is it is more star trek in the sense that it's like they're wearing the starfleet uniform and it's it's it's Picard on the screen and there's data and there's all the check that one off and check that one off and there's the there's that reference there's that and there's that and it's like yeah there's all these I like but that show did not make me feel the same way that star Trek made me feel and that's that's what I want. I don't care if it's well what we're not. We're not talking about the rise of Skywalker in the room here. Sorry I meant to say elephant hyphen where you do so much hand over hand fan service. Oh my goodness you're so raw from all the fan service and it's just this whole tour of like a one last time with this. CG IRA or whatever and you're like huck. Is there a story here or is it just. How long does it treasure hunt GonNa go and really really Hansel was back really and like you know what I mean? And you're like that's that's deeply. There's the Donaldson of this. Anybody especially taught there scurrying being so hard to run the other way from the very interesting things that Ryan Johnson. I thought they were clearly trying to run so hard the other way right up to the line of saying fuck you to like nope. nope psych now. None of that happened special. You got to be in the club. Her it was over there. Look over here look on also parents are. Yeah movie in the seventies I was. Did he die as dead. "Bryant's cove hit pause after the death. The hypothesis they hit pause on the super bowl funeral after the death of the basketball men. Kobe Bryant's private helicopter flew into a mountain in the planters peanut corporation. They all scramble. They're getting on the weekend command command. We we can't kill. We have to cancel the Super Bowl. Commercial of Mr Peanuts gave me punch the a co Kobe. Bryant dying was very I felt very sad I was sad or I'm not a basketball person But it seems like very tragic and but but now I need to know what was this commercial that they felt they needed to get rid of it. Like what association did did it have to basketball at all. I just bad yeah I WANNA. It's like the tape now. I've let go the tape now. I want to know about the funeral. I know I'm just trying to trying to unpack this very very carefully. I think it's they're looking to do so the shake it up shake it up a little a bit shaken up with the brand check it out. I think is what they planned. And then the basketball died. And then you know it's the House that Staple Center built old. And so that's Burr. They're doing that now. Why can't why because death too soon to die every day? Oh I see well but also approves. He's not Jewish. Because I think you're supposed to do cottage. And then he has to be very days. Is that correct and some check me on that. I wonder under what snacks you were bringing Mr peanuts funeral. I don't know I mean you wouldn't want to be too on the nose. You know not to the funeral to the Shiva. Oh Yeah Yeah I mean I don't know like Marzipan was what's what's the thing the Jewish people like to eat marzipan soup. What else would you green? Engendering salted nuts salted nuts. Extra chairs probably extra seems like it's in bad taste though new literally sitting. Yeah Okay I don't know man. It's complicated it's A. It's a tough time did Did you listen to the Dueling Biden. Yes did I ever want to go. Download that it's just it's just brain. It's brain melting Lee Weird episode. One I listened to episode one. The podcast just add episode cast. Yeah Yeah I've heard episodes. Yeah okay I like if someone recommends a particular episode I will listen but this one With Felix from Chapo is the other two very very funny to they really are back then lifeguard down in Wilkes Bar and you get get guys felt sound so long cars get in the long car Komo Chevrolet dealership a whole other thing you bring in a long listen. Jack has not the kind of Song I sing. It was pretty long car. You're but it's but you have to understand it's so long and so we're it's not. It's always David Lynch thing. It's not all extremely funny but it just keeps dipping in and out of extremely funny and extremely weird and extremely non sequitur. So what we're talking about here. Is this podcast. It's similar to an idea that I had a million years ago. Every episode is the first episode right of of a podcast and this one is three different people including Felix Peterman from Chapo. Each doing a joke. It's like as if there were three Joe Biden in the room but three different people were Joe Biden and they're all just talking like Joe Biden and it's pretty funny. Oh I think I like. You can't really good David Lynch movie. You just can't turn it off. You can't like you can't turn your ears away there. You are just dropping the needle to somewhere in the middle to what you know what the nets a good. Oh my God. What was his at Brendan? Formerly I believe Chapel. Oh I don't know no I don't think so. I think that's I think. His twitter name is deep. Beige crystals murder. Oh no no no. I'll tell you about that in a second soul because it's time for trick or treating and going out there and get what's given to him and it's like well no pal. Now's not the time for address up the people don't want handouts. They don't want any kind of free wheel and they don't trust it. They WanNa go to the Corey and they WANNA bus rocks for the gravy. You know what I'm saying. It's it's all right there and it's like back in the day when you met a woman used to be able to just go ahead and put a little bit of your mouth and that was inconsiderate rude or anything like that. It's just something that you did. It was a little playful thing that you did is a little bit of air in your mouth please. Everybody telling me and I'm growing and learning More see a good place to stop. But you can't you just more the more than I did. Even as a baby I learn more this year I learned almost nothing as a child. And maybe the whole time. Now now I I wanNA tell you about one of the great friends on his campaign and believe me campaign get more friends than any APP. You say you don't have enough. Friends will buckle up and run for president. I highly recommend everybody run for president at least once in their life. Absolutely make more friends. You will your address. Book won't even fit in in your pocket anymore and I guarantee that we'll tell you until you tell our long. It's over in their cars. Have trouble getting that kind of candy. The freemason snow treats. Oh come on down. I'll tell you what Jack Lifeguard met a lot. People Touch Malesherbes. That's just A. That's hey listen buddy that's freedom the The thing I sent you is a podcast by two dudes Brennan O'hare and Corey Sner Ski. Who Were Oh that guy that twitter I know him? Yeah they they used to. They both are click whole former. Click whole writers. Okay A and they're just two of the funny. There's sort of like weird twitter guys urge to of the funniest people alive I think and they have this. podcast called this Branchburg. I've linked to. This is not the first time I've linked to to you but oh I remember this all totally. Listen to this is to me the funniest podcast that I've found in in years and really I really recommend this episode three the principles motorcade. It is so fucking funny. I already recommended this several times but I recommend it again. Oh Merlin produced by produced by Tim and Eric no Tim Hardacre hot him leaving Eric Eric. Your kickstarter sucks is extremely fucking funny episode. One three to Mr. He is very a good starter from less than a couple of weeks ago but God that the chemistry these guys have is so great there. So goddamn funny. I think they're from from Tennessee. And they're so funny and it's the way they go off on some extremely bad kick starters and play. The videos are is is very funny. But it's another one of those shows where it's really like if you like these hosts you'll like the show put that insurance. I recommend noble blood which is now do I have to do after. Subscribe to Red Scare. Noble to get double blood. Dina's podcast you know her high school together. Oh yeah twice yeah. I one time Sauce Dana. Dana Schwartz hashtag resistance twitter poster okay. It's probably more pretty famous for that. I like hurt talking about marie-antoinette's take her podcast. Her podcast I her. Both of her books are very funny and she's I definitely recommend the twitter account. Guy In your FA which. I just heard that she's she's really fucking funny. I think she's gotten like twitter following for for posting about trump's stuff in like sixteen but I actually enjoy her primarily. It's like a comedy writer. Dan Schwartz is a yeah. That sounds right but she wrote She's two books out. I I definitely recommend the guy in your twitter account which is also. I think that that didn't feel good seeing that too. Yeah that's so it's it's one of Jenin is like favor for twitter things and it's very very funny and then yes she's awesome podcast. Noble blood that is doing very well and everybody loves neck and the necklace okay. Cool should we do our Morente Russell Challenge yes. What was the challenge this week so I was just week eight? Feel like might have been mine but Max Dig Dug. It was me I think. Technically League Yeah I wanted Alex. What's the challenge challenge you? I'm getting I'm getting there. I'm getting there. I wanted us to watch the first season not season dammit cut the I got. I got it the challenge. Watch the first episode of Picard X.. Wonderful Card Mander Did you watch it. Fuck Mex- I watched it. I watched the first scene and was so taken aback. Then I'm like no I need to watch more of this four context because I know I know the thing with him in data but then he talks hawks to his. I'm spoiling literally the first minute of this episode. And he talks to his dog when he's getting out of bed and I'm like that is a reference that I don't understand it's not want to understand this show it fee and I was talking to someone who was like. Yeah this feels like the Uh Star Trek that I wanted as a kid but there wasn't production values not not special effects but like there wasn't the cinematography you that this show has so peanut butter it real hard because I'm I'm look I'm sorry I'm so lost. You started to watch it and then decided site. You said I need more of this but you turn it off. I need no no no need. I need more context. I need the back story I need to the episodes from like Max's guide ride to and there's another one that's like okay. Watch these five episodes. If you WANNA know what's happening in Picard was two-part spark a like intuition or integration or something like that homecoming. I know it's the one but it's one. That explains a lot of the Russian backstory stuff watching that last night Yes I don't. It's funny though. I am Max. Obviously I imagine how the most to save. I had the same feeling on unification unification now I immediately really got a doctor who vibes from this in the sense that even when I didn't I knew I I can tell there is a reference to something going on but I didn't know what it was. I had a vague idea. I know I knew that some despoilers here all right spoiler first episode of a show like just. Yeah but I'm not. We can't spoil that for people. Yeah Yeah No I. I didn't turn it off because a spoilt hand or should shouldn't spoiling now. Okay well okay. So what are the character at the beginning of all gambling enterprise. I knew there had been something involving tried to avoid spoilers. I have not watched the whole series of next generation but I knew for example that there had been a sacrificial something something and with that character and then evolve last seen vol playing cards. I knew that so I figured something was going on there But there's a lot of stuff like I think is more of the jokes with the dog. That like Jean Luc Picard is is French just raised in England. He is French but he's never spoke French on the show. Is that part of a joke. It's not a joke joke. It's the it's the I'm sorry but like a thing if you'd watch. TNG A million times. You would pick up on a lot more obvious. Well he's yeah he's French cards. A French Tame Chateau Picard. Wine is like is like a thing. That's appears in the series a few times and then there's a few episodes there's an episode after he after he gets kidnapped after after the he gets turned into a board during next generation. He goes back home to the vineyard in France and he has sort of dealing with the trauma of that we just watched that one into a great episode right yet lose a bunch of really great ones. I've been using a combination of your your guide and different like You Know X.. Best episodes it's ever anyhow I. I'm the basic bitch. I fucking love this. I thought it was great I take the note from from my boyfriend's on the watch that eventually all I have your franchises eventually become about themselves. And that's kind of a bummer. But I thought this very well done I thought it looked beautiful and and It it made me feel good. I really liked it and I very excited by. I usually don't watch previews but holy Shit. Previous Bay who would you think Max I did like it. I will continue watching it which is more than I? I watched the pilot or discovery and I was like you know what this isn't for me and I all. He's better for the pilot. It's very no I but she has. She has a role. It's really good. I I watched the pilot of Star Trek Enterprise and I was really disappointed back in the day and I was very disappointed and had that theme music and the pilots pretty bad and I and I was like this is no good and then whatever five six seven years later I went back..

It looks like they're trying to protect themselves. But I think it's considered a polite thing to do if you think you might be sick to do that. But then there are definitely people who are doing it because they don't WanNa get sick but I'm not sure sure how much those walgreens masks make a difference but I don't know I I haven't so I have a flight Coming up and I was thinking maybe to wear the mask and let me let me. I have read non Non Corona virus reasons to where the mask as well but which I can share. I read I read a thing thing awhile back that said one of the reasons that the flying can fuck with. That's exciting. ooh You Iowa now Who Will House three hundred thirteen four days Lynn? Thirteen point one at the time of this. When this podcast comes out there will be? It will be like three days until Iowa. Well Guy Will Caucasus the next time we talk. We'll be living in a post Iowa caucuses world Bernie Sanders will be that much closer to being the nominee. Because it'll happen. No I don't believe in anything anymore but let myself I self belief if you believe the polls sanders is going to win Iowa. I don't believe the polls what cost I don't have a point here. Just like feeding trump. Ah Okay all right all right all right cool. US MCA you ever have fantasies though about This is not. It's like. I have like fantasies in my head. About how all of the debates against trump would go off the various obvious candidates not based on their qualifications but just pure entertainment value. Because that's where we are in the world and it's bad but whatever else you talking about like like the along with push up contest between Biden and trump the well. Oh God I I have to usually clear that one out because it gets too sad. He's sexy nope nope the can you imagine like trump against mayor pete and like just trying so hard not to use slurs and then getting confused used and like the watching work in progress programme that fell over there over there is he. He's here he's here he's he's he's a troop but but a wink wink. He's he is handsome and his voice is deep but talk like the year that. You're you're enjoying work-in-progress thank you Marilyn. I'm so glad that you found happy with enjoying it. It's very good. I'm glad I love that show like I wanted to succeed. I think it's a good. I think it's a good barometer. Just don't don't use dead name. It's a very very good show barometer that you're that you're oh yeah I like your taste. Merlin your taste maker wait. Have you seen arm influencer influence. All right since since Arlen and I were talking about this beforehand. Wait so you work. I can't I believe BECA LEVIN WHO is. Everyone should google her work outside cards but she's one of our senior card writers and she's amazing she just happens to be an extra in in the scene or one of one of the scenes like with reading reading the book. Yeah Yeah Yeah what what I. What is your relationship to her? How can we be friends friends with bringing back up? No not BECCA. Yeah Yeah Abbey's like. She's a big deal. Well now she is an Abbey's like along she's she's a longtime fixture of the Chicago Improv scene. I think she's like one of the most beloved people in the comedy scene. She's a great laugh and so I think almost everyone has a story of like you. Go see an Improv show. And then you hear Abbey's laugh in the audience that must be so nice. She has a great laugh and then she goes and then you go. Have you hear like it's just like like it's like some some people. Just have that that crazy that crazy laugh right and yes. She's like she's like very she's like very welcoming and she's like A She's one of those people that like a lot of people. Okay how cool. She sells cool. She's so cool. So cool. A lot of people get an Improv because because they want to like get a job working on TV and they'll like while slum it doing these stupid Improv shows for a few years and then I'll move to L. A.. And I'll get a job on some Sitcom and some people are not that's fine. I mean I'm glad that that's a path for people but some people on the other hand they like they enjoy the scene. They enjoy the work they liked the shows. And they're here to do you and that always seemed like Abington me like she. Just she's stuck it out for a really long time like she's been doing it for the entire time that I've been interested in the province Chicago and she's really fucking unfunny and and she's a amazing and everything that she's in and it's just like couldn't like that this show got made and that it's so oh good couldn't have happened to a better person. It's is so weird because I I actually think The first one of the first Improv shows I saw Chicago. No that wasn't like comedy sports. Or something Okay Merlin. When I say comedy sports do you know what I mean? It's going to be one of those laugh along Olympics like West aside stories gang gangs of young. It's it's not. It's not a good time but we're spoiled in Chicago so like a lot of really good Improv of And it was the first time I'm like. Hey someone on that stage. There's something different about them. They look a little bit like me so that obviously attracted me to her performance but then realizing that people actually like her was like Oh. This is very pleasant and I'm just very excited. I hope the show gets. Has it been picked up for a second season. I need no what happens with Chris who I saw the last one of the ones oh I had to say say there should be like the circle. I don't want to talk about it Because they're so oh my God Ah Anyway I met Pete rose twice. I don't know who that is. Ideal with. Prince mentioned that before I voluntarily clear how how that worked. Yeah he told me it was okay to be weird and everyone. Everyone's sick right now. I'm.

"You're that it's been at someone's but I feel like that nozzle it's convenient. no-one cleans it like I don't know L. and clean it with probably a filthy spicy honey. Like people come in and they put their home. I may depress the lever and one percent sent one hundred percent. Hopefully not in here but the one that's like out there during events I that someone drunk has put their head under the water spout and just pulled. The lever are and gone to town. He was worried about this corona virus. Have you have you changed your life in any way. I'm like I'm having trouble understanding. Meaning if it's something I I wake basically. Here's what I'm doing. I wake up every morning and I opened Google News and I look at the story is the coronavirus like a pandemic. That's destroying strong society yet more not yet and this morning I woke up and it was like the story was like a doctor was killed in China treating the current. Oh virus sounds like I guess it's is not a global pandemic yet be well Our good friend of the show Dr John was was telling me yesterday. You know. Take precautions for this just as you would the normal flu which you know. Typical goal typical New Jersey dithering. Yep exactly what you'd expect from Dr Dawn. I'm like construed as I have changed my life. Thanks Buddy thank you. Yeah I I read about it every morning and get my concern is is that it's too late to do anything about it. Oh it's not because at least according to National Public Radio which I've mostly stop up listening to you because I don't want to hear or read anything anymore. They were saying this morning. About how the city where this started there was an opportunity to sort of keep. Things cordoned off there but they a lot of people travelled and they're still figuring out how many people have this because there's been so many exposures I thought good well I. I texted a number of Dr Friends. Some I haven't I did the shitty thing where I haven't talked to someone in years and it was like so Hey see how. How's your kid anyway? I missed the funeral but but it seems like it is mostly the same. People who are at risk risk for pneumonia are dying from this the same way like it's kids and old people so if you're an old careful be careful out there folks probably probably go out less Korkor. Coal Raw virus lands in California flight full of Americans fleeing Wuhan Wuhan core on a virus lands in California will be quarantined Q. U. A are warranty. Merlin your do you have the corona virus now. Is that possible. No been very sick for a week an commuting a lot because I have a rattling cough. Oh I sound cool that we're not we're not syracuse you. We really didn't have any like News as far as I can recall. I don't think we had any sort of like any sort of like a bola scare type panics or anything like that in my dorm roommate than my first year of college she got the bird flu and a bunch of people like on our floor in across campus. Got The bird flu which later everyone realized. Oh it's it's just basically basically the flu but you need to be a little bit more hydrated and just watch it more but she was put up in the Hilton and got food delivered to her every day the of room service because it was so free the jesuits were really afraid of that. They were all born team. Like at the walkie high those like the fanciest hotel God that sounds amazing. Yeah College Jason College. Yeah No. She's talking every day and she's like this is awesome. There's a lot of times in college. I could a US some some free food and a place to sleep Gemini Christmas I was I was like a Tuscan Raider. I was just going from room to room Tila group just like like what kind of eat here. What happens to you if you get that current a virus the flu right? It's more like pneumonia. It's like more like pneumonia so it is a lung type dizzy. Why why am I explaining? Yeah I don't know what I wanted to go on. Yeah okay okay. "Nine times nine times. Mrs Bueller We're with your bad. You shouldn't be throwing anyone. We Watch Watch Ferris Bueller again last night. Oh my God really a homes. Her suggestion watched star Trek. And she's like Ferris Bueller knows like we can do that Um that's what was she. First exposed to Ferris bueller probably about a year ago or so. Oh I forget it mom exactly how I know so many lines from that movie. Like a Lotta lines. You know you could just come to Chicago. Not Not to Max out that funny bit where I like. I repeat funny. Bits stage remember that far whereas my cameron go that was. That's funny. I remember that part at all and that was that was really funny and then he says worst performance worst before some they bought it. That is a very recall central puck and fall. I'm I'm very triggered by thinking about things filmed in Chicago right now after after watching work in progress because of just Jussie smollet what what now an and no after work in progress very upsetting show. This would actually. This might be unless unless you're saving it for the other show. This might be a point too lightly discussed that program. The are all right. Let's discuss the program that really fucked me up. How did you come to to work in progress? The new show the gay showtime show part of their part of their gay block on showtime get sexy Lesbian Ladies and then they got working parts How did you hear about I feel like I heard about it? Probably I mean if I had to guess just probably The waves double X. But I I love that show. I Love Gene Thomas I will occur to be my friend and and I promise I wouldn't ask a lot of her. I would just like to be her friend online. If you're listening out there So fill it could be. That could be gas but anyway I just I'd heard it described as how did I hear described. It was described as being this like funny but also awesome very warm and sweet show about a queer A how does she. She's a Queer Dyke. She's not a lesbian lesbians. Are Our old lesbian. That's that's right and then and then. This person called Chris who is so gorgeous and interesting and just like greatest boyfriend material ever I did also find myself tripping over myself many times about people's genders and it was very confusing but yeah I guess so but anyway that's how I heard about a and We had a tour sells My Lady and I and I I was like yeah. We should at least check this out. This sounds kind of fun that was interesting and supposedly they said you know. It's got a lot of sort of how do you say it. Sounds so patronizing the kind of people. You don't CRTV like normal sized people and people who I it has fat people in Queer people the features kind of people where you look at your like what would even but but even like what an is a camera know. What's what's your friends name Campbell? Yeah Gail Kim Campbell. WHO Like I mean like how? Cool with that lady gets such a fun roll like I wonder how many other great she's probably going to be the fat best friend almost everything. She's in yeah. You know what I mean. I don't mean that disparagingly Ching Lee but that is a type no yeah she she is. She's fat and tall. which is not? It's like the two strikes against an actor but she's also she's deeply hilarious the issue. Not you start doing the flashbacks. Oh my God. It's okay so it's a show about this lesbian lesbians so Queer Queer. Oh you can say queer. Dyke it's not a slicker. No I'm just forgetting I'm so sick anyway. And she and she ends up to this a series of things like the dating this Trans Man who is twenty twenty three years younger who is exquisite and and probably gotta be in the top three percent of gorgeous androgen. -I like generally you cannot tell this person's how they were born and anyway so I'm sorry to go on about this. It's your show. I feel I felt as I said too matchy on the Internet I was reluctant to even say anything to you because on the one hand me suggesting this show to. You is like what it's like. This is so fucking in your wheelhouse that it caused me physical pain and I felt like kind of an idiot to go to Progress you want to check it out some of the stuff. That's on your remind you stuff announcing you but there is this not not lesbian but this this is the person who has the human interaction and mental health issues but is extremely lovable. And so God damn funny and enjoys a beer at a party was a miller. lite now diet coke fucking freaks me out Miller Miller late and and I don't know tell. Tell me how you feel about well whenever I I had heard of the show and it was on you know like in the list of stuff but it was right after it airs right after the L Word Generation. Q The Zumur award wish i. It looks very fun eventually. I'll watch it but Asia pretty. Yeah they are all very pretty shaved back though so shane chain from the original shouting the stance. The moving on don't know that reference the bills on the I have no idea I've actually never seen all of the Ellard uh-huh fake lesbian lesbians are old but I tried not to project myself too much onto like the gay and queer characters in media. Yeah because that can be a lot for a person to do because then you know like if when it's the villain it's it's it's just it's so the last few years is pretty certain die. Tragically Fridge When I when I saw boys don't cry? That wasn't a good experience for me. Good good movie not a not a fun time but and so Matty Anna like Oh cool oh this is in Chicago Fun. Oh yeah sure. Let's let's watch this and then I saw you tweet. Watch watch now not to me just on twitter and I think you had a similar tweet about watchmen 'em like Oh okay. Hi this this is serious business. Some sometimes it's it is for me it's a case of and I don't know I could probably do that better but it's a case of if you trust trust if I if you don't distrust my taste and you think that sometimes we like some more things. It's my way of trying to say there's an urgency here to like. Don't don't miss this because it's very good but also don't sit on this because like you should get to experience this. I feel like in the same very fresh way that I did where I was like. What the fuck is this? Yeah and as with watchmen. Yes and so you jump in the first Guy Damn episode. I'll into the therapist. I want that that wallpaper so much I know yeah right. Find anywhere the wallpaper of the therapist. I love it's exactly the same expression. Listen on the poster when she died. Oh my God imperfectly. She killed her therapist. I heard you there I just I was so involved in her rant. That uh shot up Angola for ranting and like being what was she talking about. It was so demented. This I did not do this but I was are all right the. Can you wish I didn't do that. You that's correct break. He didn't break anything thank you. Nothing happened one hundred percent. Would you have oh You Know Rush Locker Room Done whip it's mostly mostly rush Aimal nitrate as they call it in the community and I would I would have that and sometimes I would have say wits nitrous oxide. Names that's what I know the the whip it's and young white out but now I always scared me too much. Oh unglue right. I think that I'm Blue Charlie. Did I think I missed the golden age of huffing. "Podcast with Merlin Man Alex Cox and maximum getting this week's challenge. Watch the card good morning. I really appreciate how early you get up for this show you do. Oh yeah because your heart a like this is. I don't know like Alex. What do you think I'm GonNa say you're probably a night? Oh Oh yeah well. It's not so much I'm a night owl as I'm like I have good sleep hygiene. I go to bed at eleven thirty every night but but then I get up at three and then stay up at five for lady friend every night every night. Yeah and then I sleep until then around five to eight. Am but anyway. Max is in the building and I've told recording so we'll see how that goes. What do you you do for the time that you're up? Oh I do the thing It depends usually. I'll read a book but with the hope of I we'll get bored but usually the boring books just make you angry like they're eating Yeah Yeah I can see that I could see that. Do you sleep Lebed through your your ladies lady I try to do is not get too strong of an emotion about it I tried to catch myself going darn it because if you do that then you're going to be all darn it and now your you're frustrated secondary. Oh you know what I'm saying. Oh yes this is now. Now you're mad about being man or you're sad about being sad or you're anxious about being anxious. Does that make makes us. Yes it does because I have in fact been listening to the very beginning episodes of that show back to work where you only codes of because his matches obsessed with it now and really well like I hate me no I really I will I really I'm willing to pander I'm willing to even FIB I really wouldn't match you to like me and I'll I'll we'll do what it appears. I need to earn it even though I have a brother means to pay pal him sixty dollars now on like my friend Jenny better except it lasts a funny if Oh I don't know if people know that we both then mode Clin- a unspecified amount of money and she our dear editor did not tell me how much I didn't ask but I was like I wonder you're if Merlin did more no no I haven't done no I'm I'm in. Listen Listen I'm going to. I'm in the midst of I'm trying to mature some of my banking. I'm in that weird phase where I wanNA make sure there's enough money and all the do things because it's all very fluid. You know what I'm saying like so like if I get check from Max and I don't catch it for awhile Macara whatever but then. My landlord doesn't doesn't cash check for a while. And I'm like you know what I'm saying. I don't know how you live that life. I mean we've talked about the like we both have been poor since I was about eight so we both have deep money insecurities but they're very very different. Okay because I mean if I that's why I love my fake digital digital money because I can see that it's gone and I know that I don't have it in a check. Alex at check just hangs out there not exactly yeah. It's it's terrible. I it literally wish you could have like I for some reason. There's no APP that will do this for me. I have it in a spreadsheet of like okay this is is what your actual balances because. Oh Boo Y- this is not the show unless the show which is fine. Here's the thing I've been very satisfied ride with my make believe online banking service for a pretty long time. They give you A debit card with a pretty high Daily allowance to take out out which is cool and up until July. They had what's called a bill. Pay Service where you go in and yes you can enter the name of Jerem Corporation but you can also enter in the names of people like a person that you send a check to and so up until July you just go in and you say hey send this person a paper check but the money like I said last week. Lease your account account right then so I don't care how you take. The money's gone it's out at that point they take it out and now a couple things happened. One thing is they stopped. OPT offering that service for your convenience. They In order to serve you better. We're GONNA have fewer things that are cool and so that's a now I've been I gotta figure out a paper and then got. Here's the other thing with that. Online banking online banking service. Unlike a lot of services like like quicken or mint or or whatever. You don't have a way to even go in and enter that you sent the check digitally so like you're saying I got to sit there and stand over that and make sure that every little bit is accounted for. It's very it's very stressful to me. I don't know if we need it into the show but I check my banking APP like I do twitter like okay. What's changed yeah absolutely? I'll make belief. Yeah I you know. It's like a demented relatives love. It could just hey Scott right now. I'm Alex all right Scott so I'm dealing I'm dealing with that I mean I I don't want to make myself sound like I'm in some kind of financially dire straits I'm not. It's just that I'm looking at. I don't want to say too much. I'm looking at three different piles of something and making ensure that this thing moving to their leaves enough in that. It's a little bit financial Jenga but I will send Quinson money a princely amount of money. I sent her twenty six dollars in three cents. Because I found out and there aren't people then mo anymore so I was like I must get rid of this balance the people I then moved anymore. Yeah so that sentence. There aren't people. I then Mo anymore. That is a normal sentence. Most people would understand understand then. Mo is a verb. Now it's like saying Google okay but I'm I'm just asking the question. Is that being that. Fewer people are using van. Dan Mullen consequently you're paying them or they've they're using the card. Now what's happening. Oh No I'm pretty sure it's just because drugs are legal now in Illinois Illinois that's Okay all right that's cool So sick I Iowa one. We're sick we're through. We're sick with three different things at our house. Oh that's fine. Are you passing them. Have you ever done the thing where you like. Pass all of around so then. You're sick for three times as long I think to answer your question The thing that my kid had a week ago this evening which is real bar phen- gene had to come home from her sleep over. That was I think some kind of a as they say stomach bug I got this this chessel thing a couple of days after and I think she might have caught it from me. Oh so she got sick. She's got she's getting pounded now. Now my wife was up this morning. And she sounds like Patti and Selma tackle. Box Gem county surprising Isaac whereas with the tackle box. So that's doing there anyway. Eight all this money stuff. It's all bad anyway. Go to give us your fucking money dot com just saying that's like the whole thing it's got to end to end. I forgot to use our make believe money we should be able to just send it straight to people and then like I say they look at. You like you're Hobo. Where's your Bendel Merlin? All all right do do. Do we want to just keep going the show. Okay what was your for. The show gets to be on the show. Oh good point good point I just feel bad ahead because you're I don't WanNa say that your voice sounds bad because it doesn't I think very sweet is no. I'm I'm very sick about technology and closing that one line and what my other won't go. What do I do? I was against out my bill. Pay.
