Young protesters in Thailand risk much to demand change from military, monarchy
"Escalated in thailand. This week we're called to reform the monarchy are getting louder this morning. Police blocked rush hour traffic to stop demonstrators. They said from breaking the law out. This isn't the first time this year there have been protests against king maha vajiralongkorn who took the throne for years ago. He's one of the richest royals in the world and a playboy. He's churned through four wives and spends the majority of his time living in a german hotel amid lots of women in the past few years he's taken steps to consolidate power leading mostly younger student campaigners to demand the monarchy become more accountable and transparent yet eating suggesting these reforms comes with a hefty price. Thailand has one of the strictest lese majeste laws in the world criticizing. The royal family is punishable by up to fifteen years in jail yet. It's a law that people are increasingly willing to break yesterday evening. After left the protest side there was a pipe. Bomb in the protests in front of parliament happens that we could go also that were six protesters being treated for gunshot wounds. A man was arrested. So it's a very unstable situation. Tom felix young writes about thailand for the economist and is based in bangkok. At the same time. One has to see that the students are in a different position because many of them are the kids off the bangkok establishment. So the hope here some say is that you don't go around killing your own children what do you mean how is the makeup of these protests. Now different the biggest difference. Is that the kids on the streets. Some of the math fifteen there are university students as well but they are incredibly young. And if you were looking for a sentence to describe what's going on out there they are fearless. Fear is gone. And i say that because the legs majeste laurels the roy. Defamation in this country. I'd incredibly harsh. And they have been applied in the past so every time kids go out there and demonstrates some of them seeking out of the house of their parents they are committing a criminal offence and they are risking ending up in jail and yet no one really seems to care so what you see now when you go and went to observe protests yesterday is all sorts of tones and abused director directly at the head of state which is something that has happened in the past but not in the way that it is now. And why is this upsurge of animosity against the head of state king. So his father passed away in two thousand sixteen and since he seems to the throne taken a lot of steps to concentrate power in his hands. So there's been a shift from watts once looked as a relatively normal constitutional monarchy to more absolutes attack monarchy. The has changed the crown property bureau law which essentially said previously that these assets are being held in trust for the people for the nation and now with this law changed. The king has direct control over these acids and they actually if you look at shares in companies. It's no longer. The crown property bureau owning is the name of the king the students and many people who sympathize with them on our asking. Well what is his old about these assets odds and we want to see a reversal. What is it that the protesters are demanding here so the three months initially many months ago that they wanted to change the constitution basically a more democratic thailand. The second one they wanted to give it to speak to freely and not face arrests and the third one which is by far the most controversial is a reform of the monarchy now in recent months more and more the last demand has become the most prominent to the extent that even neutral observers here referred to these protests no longer as pro-democracy protests but anti monarchy protests and what likelihood that what the protesters are demanding will actually be met. I mean what chances for actual a change to the monarchy. Well if you look at the original three demands the one of the demands was that they wanted essentially to express themselves freely without landing in jail. Now we use the opposite. Now you see a hardening of stance on the part of the establishment on that from the students are not getting anywhere. The second part is that that was a whole unto last week that the constitution might be mended and made more progressive. That door now seems closed because the crew military royalist government coalition government. They have a majority in parliament. One proposed in particular which mirrored of the demands of the students was voted down so there is no way now through the parliamentary process to bring about change and on the third demand. It is pretty clear now that this heading for a confrontation and everybody knew that because the way that paolo is acquired exercised and hells in. Thailand is dri up for debate. You say this is heading for a confrontation but it sounds as if the confrontation kind of already here. The students don't have any recourse left either in the protesting over real constitutional reform. So where do you see this going. One thing that is really worrying is that it's all it is perceived to be now this one dimensional quest for essentially getting rid of the monarchy in its current state or modernizing whatever it is but all the other things the original demands and are now in the background and what that means for the students i think is that they will find it very difficult to build a broader alliances entice society that will allow them to carry on with this hand. I do not see any fundamental change happening in the near future
Astronauts to celebrate Thanksgiving on the International Space Station
"The arrival of nasr's first commercial krill. Seven astronauts will be spending thanksgiving together in space this year during their light schedule for the day crew members will make time for a few video calls to family and maybe even watch a football game or two then the crew will gather for a special holiday meal vaguely recognisable by color. The feast will require reconstituting but after adding a bit of water the packets of green beans potatoes mac and cheese and of course smoked turkey. A remarkably delicious crew members often get creative with their food stuffing a few cookie. Bits into a pouch of candied. Yams makes a tasty mock pumpkin pie. You can share in the astronauts meal by making nasr's recipe for corn bread pudding yourself but you probably won't have the biggest challenge the astronauts face on thanksgiving day making sure not to let the turkey float away

Farm Bureau Survey: Thanksgiving dinner cost down 4%
"Every year. Right before thanksgiving. The american farm bureau sends out hundreds of volunteers shoppers into grocery stores all throughout the country. All fifty states their mission to find report the prices of the ingredients that go into a traditional thanksgiving dinner and then the most mouth-watering way possible harris farm bureau chief economist john. Newton listing a bunch of those ingredients. I mean it's your classic thanksgiving dinner so you obviously have the turkey so there check in turkey prices. We've got stuffing sweet. Potatoes brown and serve roles. Cranberries for the cranberry sauce. You're shells your pumpkin pie. Mix whipping cream a gallon of milk. But it goes without saying the prices of these ingredients will be different depending on where you are in the country. Yeah absolutely. I mean a turkey that you buy a whole foods in manhattan is probably going to be more expensive than turkey. You buy a hy-vee in iowa partly because the price of everything is higher in manhattan but also for other economic reasons to john says you also have different supply. Chain costs to get that bird into grocery stores in manhattan for example. It's going to be more expensive to do that. And say Put it in a grocery store in in iowa where you're very close to where turkish approved so john and the crew at the farm bureau do is find the average price of each ingredient across the whole country. Then they add those prices to find the total cost of that classic thanksgiving dinner in every year. John and the farm bureau look at the same ingredients so that they can see just how the cost of thanksgiving dinner has changed through the years. And this is the thirty fifth straight thanksgiving. The farm bureau has conducted the survey. But this is twenty twenty year unlike any other. The couvert pandemic has upended so many parts of our lives and that includes the prices of the foods. We love to eat on thanksgiving today on the show. How and why. The price of thanksgiving has changed. Not just this year though but also through the decades

"Khakis and Mediterranean blue. No joke when we heard this news happening I up on the charcoal version and the shopping cart. Now we are actually fearmongering right now because. J. Crew will continue selling online and will eventually reopen their physical stores that Caramel Cablenet. Cashmere sweater is going to survive this whole thing. Now that we're talking about J. crew quasi ending with this bankruptcy. Yes let's talk about where it started back in one thousand nine hundred forty seven as the popular plan club if that launch today would be like a generic subscription. Chino's once a month you pay. And then they constantly billion Sandia box Zika arguing this before the show this zenith of J. crews existence was when Michelle. Obama showed off these little green gloves during the first inaugural parade of president. Barack Obama also happens to be the same year. They came out with their first two thousand dollars sweater. That was a shocking moment. Now the lows for J. crew is probably the past five years when you're im- boxes and hit fifty emails a week about shocker. Another sale on another sale. Oh wait here's another email top my inbox. Did you see our previous email about the J. Crew Sale? Look at the website right now for J. Crew. They're talking about forty percent off summer ready styles. This isn't the time to discount. Summer Style snacker. Jack and I jumped in snack down this one no joke top of the homepage. Right below that one. They're promoting sale for sixty percents off swimwear. I wish there would be a nonprofit to protect people from getting duped by the J. Crew Factory website because the flannel at J. crew factory is as good as kindling honestly. It's like if you're going on a date which cruiser like please. What do you want to big events in history? Help us understand how J. crew got to bankruptcy? Now here's the funny thing Jake who actually used to be a publicly traded company back until two thousand eleven that's when two private equity firms tag team to buy one hundred percent of all this stock available taking the company private and in order to take over the company. They needed cash so to do that. They borrowed about three billion dollars. Kind of like buying a house with only five percent down and ninety five percent through a mortgage right and now J. crew still buckling beneath all that heavy as of right now. J. Crew has one point seven billion dollars of debt and only one point six five billion dollars of everything else. It stores it's clothing in the back inside medium in the back. All of that stuff is not as big as its debt. They're basically trying to squeeze into an ultra ultra slim fit chrunak. And it's not working. It's a recipe for insolvency. Made well as cool and G crew owns. Made well right. The thing about made wells it was acquired by J. Crew back in two thousand six and it quickly became. Mickey Drexler was favorite child. Yes mom jeans are way cooler than J. Crew. Seventy one different variety of Merino wool sweater. You want thick or do you want really thick or really really so J. crew plan to sell made well actually this year by spinning off into its own company with its own publicly traded stock and if they had successfully sold off Baid well they would have gotten a lot of fresh cash which would help them survive. But Jack One ended up happening. It got cancelled because of the code nineteen crisis like everything else. So Jack what's the takeaway for our buddies over a crew? The krone economy didn't cause the J. Crew Bankruptcy. It just fast forward to this knacker's for half a decade. J. Crew lost its fashion and its financial identity. We'd do your leader had four leaders in the past two years now. Four different CEOS plus. They had a few months where they actually had four executives serving as a single. Ceo That's like Ato's thousand two years lawn packs are good as heavy craft beers not as CEO. Then let's talk about the pricing. They've got about three hundred fifty locations half our discount shake crews and the other half are actually full price shakers. That's right half our factories doors that are selling your kindling that they market flannels. They basically trained you just to wait for the sales emails. Finally the competition has been tough on the fast fashion cheaper side. You got czar eating them from below and you got a whole bunch of luxury brands. Eating them from above J. crew was probably heading for bankruptcy. Now it's just happening sooner all use snacks challenges out there. If you're doing out in hope you had a good out because time to come in definitely sounds inappropriate for third and final story. This one is we gotta point out. Qube is getting sued by a tiny Israeli Tech Company which is getting bankrolled by a cutthroat Wall Street giant. Now we got ask you because we've jumped in. Snacks used a service. That's fantastic. The subject now of a heated losses knackers. Here's the alleged Jack. I thought it was wild. And it's according to the that's actually doing the swing so keep that in mind. We're starting this story with Echo E. K. it's an Israeli based Tech Company. Whose tagline is entertainment. You control which sounds more like a threat. Echoes key feature. Is this interactive video thing that makes horizontal and vertical viewing totally seamless doom? You will use this on a phone. You're watching on a roller coaster. And you have no issues on the loop de loop. It's constantly going back and forth horizontal. Vertical it's beautiful. You keep watching your show despite the loop and there's no black bars of death on either side like when you're watching Youtube on your phone. So echoes looking at this product. This technology they've created. And here's the business model sell a license to that software to video streaming companies. So they can use it for other show boom. We got the game plan so a few years ago echo puts on their best t shirt go into snapchat for sales pitch. La Base snapchat looks at the thing. And says you know what we're GONNA pass on this deal but some snap. Employees must have thought it was a good idea they went over to Qube this well-financed startup that was planning on launching something similar to snap chap premium true and they introduced this idea that sounded very similar to the idea to echo had just pitched to them. Interestingly now that concept is one of quickies main feature so echoes leg. Yo that's our feature. We're going to sue you for stealing. Our Tech and their focus is on the former snapchat employees who stole the idea allegedly and then brought the stolen goods back to Qube if so facto alleged technology thief in the eyes of ACA which brings us to our key news that we noticed this week Elliott management. To quit and they're trying to do the same thing over twitter basically just like really really really really really rich and now they're getting into quote Unquote Litigation Finance. So here's how this goes down to beat Qube a lawsuit. The startup echo need like a lot of money and Elliott's giving echo that money to pay the lawyers in return Elliott's like I'm going to own a big percentage of echo and this is over. According to people familiar with the map he WTI. They're so sounds like the key plot of billions season. Twenty six jack. Yes that's used in lots of jackets. Even though Gortex doesn't actually make any Jack. You've got the same thing going on with dolby surround sound when it comes to movies since one thousand nine hundred seventy nine when dolby surround sound. Five point one debuted with the movie apocalypse. Now every movie wants to set themselves up for that five point one dolby surround sound lab now dolby digital is rich by selling its audio compression technology to like the movie studios the theaters and the Speaker Company echoes thinking they can get rich similarly by selling turntable to all of the modern video platforms but I it has to win a Lawsuit Jack. Whip up the takeaway stores over there. Hathaway has sold all its stock in the four. Big Airlines. Airlines may never be the same after Kobe. Nineteen Story J. Crew has declared bankruptcy. A Won't be the first big retail bankruptcy that the current. A virus accelerates for our third and final story. Qube has this awesome feature called which it allegedly took from echo according to lawyers. We're getting paid really big by a really mean it front called Elliott Management's really me so they're like show up at your office your awful so mean it's very personal now. Who but with a lot more grossness snack is just to give you a little context here. Jack and I came of age graduating from college right after the financial crisis. Warren Buffett quote has burned in our memory. Be Greedy while others are fearful translation? He invested in stocks during the financial crisis of two thousand eight. And here's why Jack and I was so fascinated about what happened this weekend. He's not investing during this financial crisis his reason for not buying any stocks right now. He said we don't see anything that's that attractive. That means he thinks stocks are not as good a deal right now as you may think the he that we keep on mentioning is Warren Buffett. The leader of Berkshire Hathaway. We're going to have to start capitalizing. Pronoun Berkshire is the Nebraska based legendary investing company. That you are I could buy stock. And they've got an aversion that's like three hundred thousand dollars or a version. That's like not ridiculous. It's kind of like a Tesla Situation. Unaffordable and remotely slightly less unaffordable. So announced a record fifty billion dollar loss for just the first three months of twenty twenty as the stock market tanked and that's because Berkshire owns a lot of stocks and a lot of entire company's everyone is interested in the Oracle of Omaha and the quotes that he makes every year seriously. You look at the shareholder. It's like a one thousand nine hundred thirty s image of reports. Everyone's got a little no Pat Allen once you're saying I want to say one in which I he talked about life he said it's been seven weeks since I've had a haircut or put on time and then there was this awkward moment where he said. I got a box here of our peanut brittle and I will not share it with Greg. That's the focus you only get with Warren Buffett. It's so classic but then we noticed some just like straight up powerful patriotic statements. American magic has always prevailed and it will do so again boom. Throw it on a Harley making a Tattoo. He also talked about the importance of cash he said He. We never want to be dependent. Jack can you translate that for us is basically saying make sure you always have cash on hand just in case your mom would say the same thing but there is one specific quote that God Jack and I particularly focused on what was going on. Our airline investment was a mistake and then he went on to say Berkshire is worth less today. Because I took that position than if I hadn't dough excuses worn no excuses jack. What's the takeaway for our buddies over Berkshire hathaway and our friend warm? We know you're listening. Thanks for listening. Warren Buffett is cutting his losses on airlines and moving on snappers another final quote from Warren Buffett. The World Changed. Freyre LINES. That means worn thinks long-term. There are some concerns about airline back in early April. We reported on snacks daily the Berkshire Hathaway had sold eighteen percent of its stock in Delta and fourteen percent of stock in southwest airlines. Now we know warrants confirmed that he sold everything for about a fifty percent loss investing back in two thousand sixteen bursch. You're just a few months ago. Owned eleven percent of Delta Airlines ten percent of American nine percent of southwest nine percent of united. Now he owns zero percent of each of those and the word that that's down to zero percent that dropped airline stocks to their lowest level in seven years. It's understandable why Berkshire afraid of airlines. We see short term problem. You've got money draining precautions. Like cutting out the middle seats and flying airplanes half full. Yeah we've also got an economic recession high unemployment and everybody's afraid of viruses that does not mean you're taking your family vacation at Disneyland Paris and at the short concerns in scary off. Maybe the longer term ones whale. This extended work from home experiment. It could reduce the amount of business travel necessary forever. And once we have a vaccine for the corona virus after all that airlines will still be stuck with a whole bunch of debt. Warren Warren Warren. More and more. You always finish with some good clean family fund mid Western values. When he was talking about the airline break-up he took full responsibility. They had been partying it up quarantining with a bunch of friends bunch of other people there dubbed themselves. They've done themselves the quarantine crew going to the beach and everything and I thought. Oh it's because they're in love and they're dating they're not according to a new report they're just friends and they're just hanging out as friends Probably Hump into because they all are not. I don't know the Thirsty Instagram. Pukes on the last episode. They're all just instagram thirsty. It's like enough. They did both go through trauma recently. Though his mom died weeks there's that then find. His mom died weeks ago and her brother nearly died a couple of months ago. Her brother availed he had a drug overdose. So you know. Maybe they're just needing this escape but you know what we've seen this a million times new fame you know. New Fame is impervious to not being. They think they're bulletproof. They think Oh this is gonNA last forever. We're going to go out. We're going to have fun and people are always going to care about us. And that's what we're seeing right now and then we're going through this global pandemic in the middle of it. They're like hey we were in the middle of having our moment you know. You can't deny us this moment. We need to go out and be a part of the quarantine crew. It's called the Douchebag crew is what I'm calling and poor little. Colton underwood the former bachelor he reveals. He's got corona virus to look like kicking his ass to and he's a that guys in shape although just before he announced he had corona virus. He was hanging out with that. Cassie whatever her name is. I can't remember. I can't keep this girl straight. Cassie Rudolph her name. I don't remember can't recall well. The girl from the show. Colton is more of a beefcake and pilot pizza. Thinned-out I like a beefcake I know you do. He's got that. Dopey look on his face to you like that to Dork Shave. Belvin gotten himself into trouble recently because he claims that UNB been this is bullshit by the way he the Super Successful. Global spanish-language artist was selling face masks as March. No he was and he was just to be funny or just to sell marriage. Was it like a pre existing thing like he had this merch before the whole corona thing. Well he may have. I don't know he will never problem with it if that was part of his gear merge then I don't have a problem with that but if he's like hey. I'm selling it now than I have a problem with. Like if you just came up with the idea now if it was pre existing I don't have. I wish I had an answer. I don't know if it was pre existing. I'M GONNA guess it was not pre existing because he apologized and he and they're not selling it anymore and he's saying that they're doing it without his permission and they did it without his permission so there's that also the corona craziness is affecting so many people like that youtube idiot. Logan Paul who was supposed to have a fight. 'cause he's a boxer now two years he's supposed to have a fight with this other dude and then. Tonio Brown and now he's bitching and moaning about how his fight won't be able to go ahead vid con also if anybody's young enough to go to that. They cancelled VID CON Lots of things being impacted. Lots of things being canceled or delayed like this Johnny Depp. In amber herd trial has been postponed. Which I'm very thankful for actually don't have to hear anymore Johnny Depp and amber heard stories for a while although I recently heard this one. There's they're like we already established. They were both insane like audio taping themselves being crazy and with all this drama like there's one audio that leaked recently were of her admitting to punching him and slamming a door and his head. Let's move on. I can't even thank God. My stance on them. Yeah but speaking of Actors Jennifer Lawrence and her husband recently had a home intruder no way they were home at that time and they were able to detain the intruder until her security showed up. And then they called police and Blah Blah. How scary I know where was security in the first place? Yeah drama drama drama. I'm so thankful for fifty cent for doing his job of being a patty. Fog being a child you know. Lots of weddings are being impacted. Lalla can't from vanderbilt rules and her fiance Randall. Emmett have announced. They are postponing their wedding. And fifty cents shared the news on Instagram. And he said wasn't nobody going to that shit anyway. Does if you remember just last late last year. He got into that. Fathi drama with Randall. Over unpaid money that he claims was due to him and Blah Blah Blah Blah Princess Beatrice from the United Kingdom. Most likely going to be delaying her wedding because that was supposed to happen in. May is that a big deal they have. Tv coverage is kind of one of those deals. I think it was supposed to but clearly it won't happen now. Nothing's happening now. And also her fiance is from Italy so a lot of his family's probably very impacted by all of this and now we're spending a lot of time on podcast. Listening to is on Youtube on social media. Britney Spears has a message for everybody to be kinder because she's not happy with people that are criticizing her posts She's just trying to live her life. She says reading all of the main comments really hurts my feelings long term those off. Brett come on. I know that's what I said And a lot of things are being felt in Hollywood as a result of it. Some movies are being delayed. Some movies that were supposed to come out in theaters or now just going straight to streaming. I saw the invisible man that's on the TV for like twenty bucks but that did come out in theaters it just it just got an early release some movies that we're gonNA come out in theaters are now not getting the ethical releases like the new trolls. Movie is coming out straight to streaming. That's good especially for the kids. Yeah and so. Is this movie called lovebirds? That was going to start. That is starring s array and Kumal non. That's going to Netflix. And I WANNA take a moment to just thank net flicks a man. They have not just kept US entertained but they set up a fund of a hundred million dollars to make sure that people who work on their shows are still able to make money while all of this shutdown situation is going on and to also help other people in the entertainment community and of course. I'm sure some people are upset. Like oh Why don't they help other people? Whatever whatever well net flicks is helping their own community and hopefully other corporations help their communities and other communities help their communities. They're helping their their community and I think they should give them they. She wanted applauded for that. Speaking of Net flicks things star. David Harbour is self quarantining with his possible new wife Lily Allen. Oh Wow really yeah. They've been dating and there is speculation that they got secretly married because she referred to herself as his wife during a livestream before he went to London to quarantine with her and then she as soon as she realized what she did. She said we're not married. I just WanNa make sure you know but I think maybe she is Miley Cyrus and Demi Levato. Were doing a live chat together. He's been doing this regular livestream situation and you know like I said earlier. The coronal isn't just good for some couples. It could also be good to reconnect with friends. Maybe they've lost touch with or move it or not in your life anymore. Putting things into perspective Miley and Demi lost touch and reconnected recently. And good on them. I'd love to see a Demi and Selena livestream that would be fun cody and Miley. They still a thing. Yeah they're still paying their quarantining together. They are still thing while they last this than they're getting married now Very happy news this Broadway actress who story followed and was so sad about her name. Is Ruthie and miles. Two years ago she was crossing the street in New York and driver struck her when she was pregnant she lost her unborn child and she was with her four year old daughter as well who also died him. So New York State is in short supply of hospital masks now Christian. Soryono is producing hospital masks for them. Also Bethany Frankel of the formerly of the real housewives of New York is donating. I don't even know how she got them but she somehow got five hundred thousand masks that she's donating to hospitals across the country. Riyan is donating five million dollars to relief. Efforts Ryan Reynolds and Blake livelier donating a million dollars. Kelly RIPA and Mark Cohen swallows donating million dollars. Modern Family Star Eric. Thank you Zach right the BEGANI article and cough change for your next injection. Are you gonNA ready to put Ghani article. Oh No I don't know I think he just wants me to drive a pig. I agree I will It's only me driven on a on a surface. It's very smooth. I think it'd be fine Is this the end. This is the yeah okay great. We're GONNA call this anyway. It's perfect hour and a half. I love it John. Wall says Madden Zach any advice for someone who wants to get into automotive journalism I will get to that and I'll answer the second part I which has ever been to Colorado and what did you think of it. Second favorite state. Yep totally second to California Colorado's my favorite state. Yeah love it visit fucking beautiful. I try and go there at least once a year if I can although the existence inconvenience of mammoth has Sherpa in. Put a dent in my desire to go to Colorado. Oh Yeah I think the overall landscape there is prettier no it is so accessibility to the mountains is closer but I need an activity. Oh Gotcha Oh okay advice for someone who wants to get into journalism. The the best advice I think is often the simplest. I and it's often the one that people don't WanNa do and or they overlook which is if you want to write. Start fucking writing. If you want to make videos start Start fucking making videos. If you want to do podcast start doing a podcast. Like literally the thing you want to do. Just start like even if nobody reads is it like just start like go to wordpress or squarespace and like make up a blog like make up a site like and even if no one really sees. Is it In the beginning maybe you meet someone who wants to see it and now you can share with them your catalog of work and at the very least it'll it'll get you in the mindset of creating because with me and Zach like we we crank out content every day you know on the smoking tire but like if we don't like nothing is going to happen. No one's GonNa no one's going to fire us. No one is going to call and yell at us if I go. I'm not going to work today. I'm not making a video today. Like nothing will happen it just just no money will get made but like the only only every single thing that happens in the smoking tire happens because Zachariah I wake up in the morning and go. I am going to do this this thing today. Because this thing furthers my goals or my career or my bank account or whatever it is like this is automotive journalism in general roll is one thousand percent self started and self motivated even if you have a job like a staff job at a road and track ACURA staff job at a Jalopy knicker staff. Whatever like you still pretty much have to come up with your own things to write about And and even if you're assigned signed a story you still have to come up with what you're going to say that makes it good and different and uniquely us so My real advice is to just just start and every single step along the way. We'll take what I don't have a website make one what if I don't have cars find. Find them what. If I don't have this figure it out like literally like find something that you someone you like. If it's a writer that you like or a video producer that you like or whatever over and emulate them until you figure out how to do the thing and then change it slightly or significantly to make it yours but like it's totally really a democratic it democratic but it's an open plan like youtube is open. The Internet is open You can you can create your. We're own niche of the world. And you should be prepared to be a slave to either yourself or to someone else for a little. While that's sucky capitalism capitalism. I understand but like you might as well be like I recommend it's you and not somebody else but like just go. The answer is just go and if it's if if you're worried that you don't have the skills to do that figure out how to get those skills and keep working backwards until you see a goal figure out what it takes for that person to do their job well and then work your way backwards until you get to where you are and then start. Start your way up that ladder of steps if it's videos learn adobe premiere pro. That's the advice and be editor. There's plenty of Tutorials toils on Youtube for any of that stuff. You WanNa do. Yeah we don't need to show the fucking squarespace or wordpress screen anymore But that's it. That's what you do you just you just go and If you stop well then you're done really like like there's no. There's nothing nothing at all. Aw forcing me to write or film or record anything like I could just stop and I would would lose money but like the you know what I mean like. No boss is telling me to do it. So that's how it's gotta be for you. Just go and then. Don't stop until until you're you're dead really. Is that your phone blowing up. Remind permit things up all right. We gotta go. That's the show. We'll see you you guys later. I got if you're with us live next week fucking. We got blown out shows next week. We got like six shows next week. Freddie on Monday tomorrow is Monday. We Got John Klein and Colin coming. Together we've got amber blue again a GI motorsport is coming in finally And then we've got somebody else. Wien is going to do his Sima. Wrap Up. I think that's where our thoughts go first from a team perspective. We have a lot of guys in that clubhouse. who will hurt tonight. This is Gut Punch for a night and then we need to recover and play really strong. Basically we've been through this before as an organization two years ago almost was to the day we lost Jimmy Nelson to similarly freak injury and we compete at a very high level for the remainder of that season and I expect our teams compete a similarly high level going forward a lot of ripples coming off of that injury. Let's get to it Bob Nightingale Baseball reporter for USA. The Eighty Day joins us on the Shell Pennzoil performance line brought to you by new. Shell v Power Nitro plus premium gasoline now with four levels of defense against gunk where corrosion and friction and and Bob obviously the top stories of the day Christian Yelich out for the year after fracturing his kneecap. You know personally. I think the brewers I can withstand this but this is like the Patriots Losing Tom Brady. That's how important yellow pages to the brewers. What do you think no. I agree Basra yeah. I think it would be tough for them. Recover from it. You know just emotionally everything else. I mean he was putting on a great m. e. p. Push in the only as having a better year really do a year ago. you know they were red hot. He was red hot. You just heard about the scene in the clubhouse. You saw the video tapes and you everybody who is so down you know he's got tears in his eyes and they do have a very favorable schedule whether get three games left against the cardinals and that's it as far as teams news over five hundred but yet. I think she's so much dejection things we tougher than overcome yeah part of the reason why. I think they actually could make candid. There are three reasons for me one. I feel like they've got a great clubhouse culture and their small market team so they're used to adversity. You know it's amazing that they're even in this position given how tattered or pitching staff is now every game when I watched the brewers that you look at the great councils face and you can almost see the look on his face like now. How am I going to get twenty-seven outs tonight with with the way that his staff is lately to and you mentioned the favorable schedule that they have they play the cardinals this weekend and and besides that they play essentially some of the worst teams in baseball for the rest of their games and meanwhile the cubs team they're chasing seven of Chicago's last ten in games or against the cardinals three. Let's face it in this race for the second wildcard in the National League. It's not like we're talking about. You know all these teams reminding you. The twenty twenty seven Yankees like all of these teams have their issues. That's why I wouldn't completely rule out the brewers making the winning. This spot you mean so much depends on the cubs. I mean you know like like you said the cubs chasing the carnal stuff four games back centre last ten against hit. Lewis in the country. Even even this door wide open. I mean they should be running away with the division. You know much less a wild card berth then they have games like last night with a walk off. Walk me losing games like that to San Diego Padres and you wonder I mean if the cubs at some point here I gotta turn it honors. I mean some big changes over there. Yeah that's my sense too. I feel like it's a cubs. Don't make the postseason this year like all bets are off even in the revamping of this team. What do you think yeah completely agree. You know what I mean. Obviously they make a change manager. You know maybe some of the coaches well well in a seem revamping that whole lineup where you know they go into winter telling teams. Hey pretty much everybody's available here. You know who got to trade in just to turn things around. 'cause you know maybe you're talking about the Colorado rockies and in Chicago cubs you know probably the two most disappointing being teams throw in the National League. I think the cubs would tell other teams. Havi your biases off limits. Wilson controllers is off limits. We'll talk about anybody else. Including quoting Anthony Resil- including Kris Bryant agree I agree I agree and I taste saying you'll let let's see we can do because this office is disjointed right now. In you know there there's no way they should be playing like this especially when they made all those trays at the trade deadline and worked out. I mean what would they be even without Castellanos. This guy just arrived. Let's double back a little bit on Yelich not that it's really that important. what do you think is does his chances chances for winning his second straight. Mvp why think kills it. I think he's got no chance now. That'd be hard pressing him..
