Waukesha Suspect Darrell Brooks Shared Pro-Hitler and Violent Anti-White Posts
"We have to close the loop on the walka Shaw story. Isn't it a tragic set of circumstances where we're only allowed to talk about or care about a tragedy if the color of the skin of the attacker is something that the regime actually wants? So the attacker and walker Shaw, who has now killed 6 people a young boy died last evening. So it's went from 5 to 6. Ran over 40 more people. A black terrorist by the name of Darryl Brooks he is a pro Hitler anti semitic black supremacist terrorist. It's been wiped clean from the activist media. You've got a CNN dot com. No mention at all whatsoever. Nope. Nothing. Instead, if you, if you looked at any of the headlines that happened, they're not even saying that this is a terrorist attack. No, they just call it a car crash. They say what happened in Waukesha Wisconsin was just the car crash. It was like someone that got off on the wrong exit. Play cut 56. Bank worker. We were also hearing from the uncle of one of the 18 children hurt in the crash on Sunday. David begnaud reports on how one 11 year old girl is doing. The crash on Sunday. This was an attentional attack. But because it was a black assailant who's a child sex trafficker and pedophile, it doesn't fit the

John Zmirak: Waukesha Parade Suspect Darrell Brooks Committed a Hate Crime
"What do we see? A crazy Black Lives Matter supporter who was let out of jail for running a woman down who and for failing to register as a sex offender. Pedophile seems to be the pedophile and sex offender seems to be the common thread connecting Black Lives Matter and antifa. He's led out of jail with a slap on the wrist by a George Soros prosecutor. And what does he do he attacks a Christmas parade full of white people in orchestra, lakeisha. Walker Shaw. Walker saw Wisconsin. This is a hate crime. This is a hate crime as sure as when that psychotic and South Carolina has shot up for black church. They won't be treated as a hate crime. It won't be treated as that. He'll probably get very good lawyers and he'll who knows who knows. Maybe he'll get a slap on the wrist. One thing's for sure, he won't be slapped with civil rights charges. If he gets, if he somehow gets off on this multiple homicide, the Biden administration won't be looking at civil rights charges. The way they are at Kyle for Kyle

Suspect Released From Jail Days Before Parade Tragedy
"The Milwaukee prosecutor. The DA, what he had done was free. He had been freed on a $1000 bond. He has a record of incredible violence. He tried to run over. Was his girlfriend? Yes. Brooks had a long rap sheet, Wall Street Journal, and the Milwaukee county district attorney's office said he had been out on a $1000 bond. What is the bummed for those who participated in the January 6th events in the capital? There is no pond. We're living in an increasingly dictatorial country because of the left. The only reason you would not acknowledge that is you are afraid to. It's very hard to acknowledge at a certain point in life you've been wrong your whole life. In thinking that the Democratic Party was a force for good, or that The New York Times was a truth teller. Or that universities were positive educational experiences and gave wisdom. It's very hard. My heart breaks for such people. There's a book about such people. The God that failed. It's written by people who believed in communism in the 30s and 40s. When you believe in something your whole life and you then you realize, like this teacher, who wrote this piece that I will read to you. I so admired my shallow teachers and the teaching profession and the teachers union. And then I was awakened. Most of my fellow teachers are morons.
Waukesha Parade Suspect Darrell Brooks Released on 'Inappropriately Low' Bail

He was fleeing a knife fight. He didn't mean to mull over 60 people. That was an accident. They're actually making they made that claim. You heard it. I played the clips yesterday. There's an accident. He was panicked. He hit the gas instead of the. What was it? 60 people he hit? Did you see the videos? Yeah, that's some accident. That's what heck of a panic. Last time there was that kind of a panic. I think they called it World War II. I mean, the left will stoop to the most ridiculous Shelley insane Lowe's to make their idiotic point.
Waukesha Christmas Parade Suspect Darrell Brooks' History of Crime
"Daryl Brooks killed 5 people and possibly many others we don't know. We pray that those people make it through. He was charged previously with recklessly endangering the safety of others. In a very recent case, he purposefully ran over a woman, with his vehicle at a gas station. In the case this month, the woman told police Brooks purposefully ran her over with his vehicle. And she was walking through a gas station after he had followed her there after a fight, according to a criminal complaint. The woman was hospitalized for her injuries, so he has a tendency to run people over with his car. Daryl Brooks junior does. And yet he was released on a $1000 bail and is now a mass murdering terrorist. I'm already gonna tell you this is gonna unfold. The media will ignore this. They will not cover this. They will move on to their next thing. Front page of CNN dot com suspect and parade may have been fleeing another scene. It says here on the front page of CN. 5 people are dead and more than 40 are injured after an SUV, plowed into a Wisconsin parade. Officials believe the suspect was escaping another incident. Oh, that makes a perfectly fun. No pictures, no information around the person who did this, of course not. The Milwaukee county district attorney's office issued two counts of second degree recklessly endangering safety and Fallon in possession of firearm in 2020. Cash bail was originally sent at $10,000 and then reduced to 7500. Unlike some other states Wisconsin requires a payment for the full amount of bail in any criminal case. In February 2021, the state was prepared to proceed with a scheduled jury trial, mister Brooks was still in custody on this matter, and previously made a demand for a speedy jury trial. Because another jury trial was still in progress for the same court, the defendant's demand for a speedy trial could not be met. The case was adjourned and bail was reduced to $500.

How the Regime Will Use Identity Politics in Framing the Waukesha Attack
"What you saw last night with, what's his name again? Daryl Edward Brooks, the black supremacist terrorist was nothing more than another outgrowth, or production of The Rain and the regime of identity politics. So what happened last night? Well, according to CNN, this is their latest news report. CNN puts this, they say 5 people have died and more than 40 are injured after an SUV plowed through a holiday parade and walk a show Wisconsin oh, so the SUV was a driverless car. You know, the SUV did not drive through the holiday parade. A BLM incorporated leader drove through the holiday parade. This is an important thing to go through because Daryl Edwards Brooks who was a radical pro BLM anti police anti capitalist mass murdering terrorist. He was out on a $1000 bail. Now what sort of worldview must you have to believe that we should relax bail standards for pedophiles or for terrorists? Just because of the color of someone's skin. Will this all started with the kamba he? River collective statement in 1977. It was a statement that was issued by radical black lesbian feminists based in Boston. In the statement it says the following, quote, this focusing upon our oppression. Is embodied in the concept of identity politics. It was the first time we ever had any reference to the phrase. Identity politics. Now, these black, lesbian feminists, from Boston, issuing the combahee river collective statement, they were the first ones to talk about the interconnectedness and identified and denounce the multiple systems of oppression that exist in our country. Now, what's really important, though, is that we call it identity politics. But the black lesbian feminists that wrote this for the first time, they actually hit it perfectly. They said instead of focusing upon identity, our identity is actually rooted in our oppression. You see, through the lens of what we call identity politics or critical race theory or woke ism or diversity equity inclusion or anti racism teaching which your children might have to experience in grade school or in high school. Is it emphasis that the currency that you trade with? That the way you get wealthy in a world dominated by identity politics is by having points of oppression. We call this the oppression Olympics. But then it goes a step deeper. It goes a level deeper. That identity politics, privileges, and elevates, the identities of people that are then therefore oppressed. The basic moral framework of identity politics is not agency, it's not choices, it's not your capacity to deal with stress, though instead it puts an emphasis on whether or not you are a member of an oppressed identity politic

"Westbrook was so happy here. So now what plus the west person was his guy and he and and brooks russell loves yeah well he you know he doesn't really have much of a choice. He's under contract here. But yeah i. I think the reason that a lot of people thought he would be back because ross wanted him back. Yeah i agree. Yeah of course is the other thing. So let's go to so leonsis right. Yeah so the. The wizards actually have a touch of momentum. For the first time in a long time they actually have a little bit of interest in the community for the first time in a long time and now he can't come to grips with the coach. Is that sound familiar. Yeah i think. There's this guy named barry i think is his first name who by the ways in the final four again with his new time which would be the islanders leonsis. Coaching thing is extremely bothersome to those of us who grew up in the area and love artistes. Now this one is not let. Let's let's address. This is not the same because this will be cheered by the majority of the fan base. And i you how about you you like it or not. Well look i. I've gotten to know scott a little bit. Not a lot but I've had conversations with them on the air in in one or two off the air. I really understand why players like him. He's really a quality guy. And i can see where the part of an nba coach where the players need to like you in respect you and you need to understand them and and how to manage them. I think he really does that. Part well but going back to. Oklahoma city of always been critical of scott brooks is an xs and os coach I just don't think that is his strength. I think there are guys that are much better And by the way. I think stan van gundy's one of them. It'd be interesting. I'm sure Ted and zach would love to make a statement with the first female head coach In nba history. And you know trying to appeal to to to to some sort demo that they think they have to have And by the way. I'm not suggesting that she's not qualified. i've always thought that stan van gundy can coach. He's out he got fired today. after just one year new orleans Why the happened. I don't know maybe he didn't get along. And maybe that's what you have to do there but defend. I can say that they would defend the ball. The ball would actually move. Yeah a little bit. They might have an imbalance play to against against pressure. But then i am. I will have more on that tomorrow. Show more likely than not with tommy Thanks go Enjoy the day. And i will be watching lobby watching all weekend long. I get look forward to daycare. Steve sands everybody One of my favorites man. This is The this scott brooks news is huge. Obviously i would have led this show with it today. a couple of other just quick thoughts on it I i would say number one. If the reporting is they couldn't work out a deal that there was interest in bringing him back on a short term deal. That's number one number two in terms of what's next In addition to a guy. Like stan van gundy who. I've always been a fan of You gotta think. Sam sell you know. We'll sam cassell finally get an opportunity to be a head coach. You know he was here. Obviously as an assistant. He's very familiar with bradley beal And i think bradley beal would certainly be a guy that would endorse sam casella. I've always felt that. Sam cassell had as a player and as a coach. Just incredible basketball. Iq so i would love to see him. Get an opportunity I you know. I can't tell you i know enough about becky ham. And other than the fact that let's face it if popovich gives his blessing he's not doing it. Willy nilly and he believes in becky ham and the The the assistant With san antonio On popovich's On popovich staff On scott brooks look the bottom line is that scott brooks you know was a guy that i don't think was among the best coaches in the league when it came to an xs and os thing but you know it's the there's a lot more That falls on the head coach I thought randy wittman was an exceptional xs and os head coach. I did And i was hopeful that they would hire a guy like when when they ran Whitman because whitman wasn't getting along with the best players they they wanted to change. And that's a big part of the coaching there But i i do. I'm totally okay with this I would love to see a head coach. Where offensively there's there's gonna be more structure and with westbrook. Maybe there can't be you know that may have been part of the challenge with wall. Maybe there couldn't have been. Maybe if scott brooks had a chance to coach with a point guard that was a little bit More in need of structure. Which i think both of them wore but may be more receptive to it. Maybe it would be better. I'd love to see more structure. I'd leave the love to see more organization offensively. I would love to see you know The ability to throw inbounds pass against pressure and not have have it turnover. I would definitely like to see a coach. It would emphasize in coach. Defense better So they're Not a shock. I know that there was some reporting. Recently that brooks was going to stay as the head coach And apparently at least according to wo- generosity they had discussions about an extension but they could not come to an agreement on that Anyway there you go More on this tomorrow but again the story is that brooks is out as wizards head coach but only after according to john rouse katie. Spn the two sides failed to come to an agreement on a new deal. We'll have more information again. My guess would be that brooks wanted something longer term and washington wasn't willing to give it to them that would be my guess More on this coming up tomorrow. Thanks steve for us on the show today. Thanks to scotland for joining us on the show. Today tommy will be with me tomorrow and again more on. The scott brooks being out as wizards coach and a lot more on the show. Tomorrow have a great day..

Lovely to be a capitola or to be in la hoya all of those places during january on the east coast in particular. It's always been that way. I think it's one of the attractions actually of the sport for a lot of people who aren't necessarily even golf fans. Oh yeah i mean. Look at the run. They have okay so when we go to kapalua. She coppola's georgia's why country club in hawaii phenomenal. And you go to the california desert. If anybody's ever been palm springs it's a joke up for this and the weather is absolutely perfect. The mountains and everything gorgeous but meanwhile the country's in a deep freeze lawyer those three weeks right then you slide over to the hoya. The cliffs at torrey pines the hang gliders the pacific ocean beautiful place senior life. And then you go to scottsdale. It's a party. it's a circus. The desert was gorgeous. The mountains surrounding everybody's doing deep-freeze watching the super bowl. Then the next week you go to pebble beach. That's a joke now. Pretty that is and then the following week ago. But justin thomas ways playing well is one of the two or three best players on the planet and this golf course should suit him. Well like rory mcilroy. If he drives the ball will be the accuracy. You know the distances there There's no risk adjusted. Thomas doesn't put himself attention this weekend. You mentioned coke crack in leash. A-and is sort of sleeper picks not among the heavyweights Both older and coke. I think is a little bit older. You can correct me if i'm wrong on that. One of the of the super young guys alatorre played very well to gusta and a guide. Every time i watch him. I'm like disguise gonna win a major at some point victor and And maybe i'm missing somebody else but of this super young guys that are really talented and people are predicting great things. You can't count fill help man. You just can't count him out. But i would be shocked if he put himself in contention over the weekend for another run at this thing you know i was with. I was with our boy yesterday. Actually yesterday or two days ago. Scott and we're we're just talking about this and he just. He made a comment to me. That i don't think he's ever said to me. And i don't know if you've said it either. But he said in trying to identify the best golf courses. You just look at. Who's one there. You know like the winner last week. This guy that's on a roll What's his name. That guy that wanna palmetto who just one last week garrick higuera did. Yeah two weeks ago. Right right higau The winner and and who was in contention. Bo van pelt was in contention right. And that's when you see quarter no relation no relation when you see courses like that. And you see players like that in contention or even winning. And i know that the the winner actually has won a bunch on the european tour recently but that aside It's like the best courses are won by the true great players is that what torrey pines is one of the great courses. So we're going to see a great player when it i think so but the. Us open has a way of identifying the best player that week but not necessarily like the all time greats like our good friend norton. Lee jansons won twice there. There are a lot of the. Us open winners. Who you would not consider in the jack you know. Aren't you know type of Echelon in the game. That does not discount anything by the way of any of those players have ever wanted uso but the us open tends to allow winners like that. Come in. i think that is one for one. Had an epic. Monday finish tiger woods one but over the years year at the farmers insurance open. They've had some great great winners different golf course in january than it is in june. But if you get another epic win this week. A rory. A bryson of books. A dustin johnson Nicholson making a run. Then you've got to put torrey pines in that category scott alluded to that. Look if you're gonna go tiger and then one of these all time greats as well then sure i. I think that golf courses can definitely be identified by. Who's one on them. So let's talk about the golf course first and then the players. You think have a chance to win this weekend. How you know juiced up. Will it be from a green speed in a rough standpoint. What's the usda done with torrey. Pines haven't been messed with it too much if rough. I was talking to a guy out yesterday when i was walking to. Of course here's markman. Who i think has a very good chance this week He was saying that what he's always interesting was that the sight lines are still the same and a fairway wits are relatively the same they. Have you know skinny up the fairways too much. What they've done is they've grown the rough a little bit and greens are firmer and faster this time of year. condition wise and they would be in january. So it's going to be a firmer faster. Golf course is going to be hard. Par seventy And.

"Of certainly to summer sports calendar And it's at torrey pines and steve sands will be a big part of the golf channel and nbc's coverage of it all weekend long and he joins us From beautiful beautiful torrey pines And one of the more beautiful areas in the country Where you are right now before we get to the this I just am curious if you've been watching the nba playoffs at all. Because i my sense of it is in our conversations that year not massively into it. Oh no i'm definitely into. Oh you are okay. Sports and i can't stop watching everything i heard your conversation with j. p. the other day about The ratings in the you know the in the nba. And then the yet david on as well you know i'm totally into. That's really out of a wise. I've gotta a rooting interest. We just found out this morning and maybe you saw the news as well as out for tonight's game and maybe out for the series and maybe out even longer which for me is devastating. Because i love watching him play and then in chris paul is in the nba covid nineteen protocol as well so kind of crazy If i watch your favorite guy who did you say the other day is that co is your favorite place. He's my favorite team right now. I heard that the other day. I couldn't believe that he has been for several years and many people by the way heard me say that. Say bullshit it's cousins. No it's not. Kirk i root for her and i'm happy for kirk when he plays well and i'd like to see his career. Continue to grow so that you know my belief in him. I think i've already won that argument over the years. Initially it was. He's not starting quarterback in the nfl But he turned out to be your belief since the lincolnian break that pass across the middle against the giants didn't end your relationship with kirk cousins. No no What really what really upset me about that. Particular day was a giant team that had no interest in winning rushed for one hundred and fifty yards in the first half against our defense. That's what really pissed me off. You know tried to lose that game that game. Kevin is the reason that all my friends give me crap about us winning the division and all my friends from philly who say that you know we lay down for you and that last game. I don't wanna hear it. The giants lay down in that game at fedex. Field and the skin stills couldn't win the game so. I don't wanna hear that people were not trying to win. The football and those guys are still professional football players. But let me tell you i love you have in your.

"Contact but there nash doesn't talk to crosby either anyway. The the reason i brought this up was so they released this album. And they knew how great it was going to be. Because you check out the track listings for that with almost cut my hair and woodstock and carry on and teach your children and helpless. I mean it's it's amazing so this long story already. They ask david crosby. They're like so you had a tore plant for this and he said yeah. I think the second day to support the album was woodstock. It was just sort of like. Oh this is the stage we get to unveil this amazing stuff on wild. Just absolutely wild eyed. So here's what i have. Aright hendrix was on the final day but he was not the final performer This was the day where you had thunderstorms interrupting. By the way crosby stills nash and young performed in that final days well which was a sunday through Through monday event. Actually my fault hendrix's last. He's the nine. Am eleven am monday. August eighteenth nineteen. Sixty-nine crosby stills nash and young performed from three am to four fourteen am on that early. monday morning. But neil young skipped most of the set. He was probably impacted. I'm guessing at said that when the david crosby's direct quote i'll paraphrase. He says when. Neil young joins your band. He really doesn't join your band. He plays stuff in his home studio. You get the track and then he sort of collaborates with from so. It's not really a surprise. And i know that he's obviously a listener former and these guys have their own stuff with him. But it's just interesting to hear the a six minute behind the music that will on that final day or two days combined. The band played. And i was recently listening and i don't know if it was a recent interview with elton john and howard stern but they were running last week and i don't know when it was. I don't know it could have been from last week. I couldn't tell it was a phenomenal interview elton. John started talking about how much the band influenced his early work. And and then He referenced a new piece of music that's outer. It's it's called. Elton john's jewel box in it which i Have listened to now for the last. I don't know four. T a out of the last six days are Actual recorded versions acoustic versions piano. Only of some of the songs that he recorded before we recorded them like burn down. The mission madman across the water razor face. It's amazing to hear the day. yeah and tie cadre. I need to remind myself to tell me about that. 'cause tommy and i both agree tumbleweed connections one of the great albums of all time an underrated and his best album anyway. This was fun Sooner air marina a great song phenomenal song And by the way. I think that's another one that is that's part of the four five song acoustic only early recording before they ever got into the studio Songs you go find that i will okay Thanks good luck with everything. Hey and we'll come in come back soon. You're the absolute best and This didn't feel like it was six hours because it was just barely won. But you know. I'm honored and quite pleased and get your nap before you have to be after get that. I'm sorry that turn was first on this show. You know way better stories. He's got tony sell ideal. That was actually so much fun to. Because it's really the two of you. I think probably you in mark are the two people that i over the seventeen years at the station. I spent the most time with. Maybe we'll tommy a tommy for sure yet. Tommy was there to do and then he would leave most of the time and he was very aloof in that in that shrine that he had built to himself which was his awful. Oh my god. That office was amazing. That office formerly my office years ago. It was more than happy. you know. It's like when the team gets a veteran. You you offer your jersey number you offer. You're working award through the years and the trophy you pictures in which he had.

But a lotta people are using voice in using podcasts. To communicate rather than interoffice memos or websites. You know it's a it's a much better way and by the way it's more fun to communicate that when you end up having a guy that can do it this way who can host it this way and get inking. Get the best out of you so this will be part of the part of the gay is and you know get it. You're listening to kevin. I talk and talk for days. We could do woodstock podcast. Basically you know a part of my job in my experiences to just make you feel comfortable. A lot of people grab a microphone. And you wanted to your own podcast. God bless you. I'm there to just facilitate to make you comfortable. You know if you have a a newsletter or an audio blog couple minutes. Shoot it out to your customers by email. Put it on your website like having said a lot of people are not writing. I don't feel like writing that. Don't right i'll help you with that too. So yeah lots of different ideas. Check out the services page scotland. Pr podcasts with an s. on the end dot com and thank you. Thank you for letting me pimp this. She and i appreciate the last performer in late. August of nineteen sixty nine in woodstock. New york was god. It's an easy. I it isn't easy one was it hendricks hendrix with. I wasn't he i think he was. I no. I think he was last pretty sure he was last. Okay then hendrix's my answer. Would that could be wrong about that. For whatever reason it's always I think he was on that last on that. Very last you might be right. I'm gonna look it up right now. I know look that up while vamping for a second. So you're of this age. I'm sure a lot of your listeners. Are too and i talked about this with sally on the lynn. Murray sally over patriots. We the album of crosby stills nash vu and young apologies celebrated its fifty second anniversary recently. The fiftieth was sort of during the pandemic so they just a smart sunday morning did a whole like seven minute feature on it and the gen. Who was the reporter. Talked to stephen stills and talk to david crosby and talked to graham. Nash neil young not available. David crosby doesn't talk to neil young. Because he said bad stuff about neil young's girlfriend back in the day stills and graham nash and neil talk frequently and text and are in contact but there nash doesn't talk to crosby either anyway. The the reason i brought this up was so they released this album. And.

"We still keep our toes in the water for that stuff but you know the time with you just hanging out not eating for fun. The hammer time with you eating. We're much fun. And i just would you know you. You would make me laugh. And you know. I'll pay compliment right back. Kevin and this is your show. So i'm not paid to come on here. It's just you know. Our relationship is a special on. And i know you mega deaths of gratitude for support and humor and And and words of advice and and all that stuff so yes. I will always continue. I will always consider you one of my of my dearest friends. You are a good human being and thank you enough of that. this is about i will. I will say that. I would bet that eighty percent of our conversations that would start at. Let's just call it ten. Am ten thirty after shows wrapped up our eleven. Whatever it was. I can't even remember the hours of the various shows it would start with. What are you doing for lunch. What am i. What are we gonna eat. And yes scott is a scots definitely a foodie and a lot of the conversations were always about you know really you found this place. Where where's it is good and and And i would try many of those places over the years. And i would say that you hit on more than than you missed on Glad it worked out. Tell everybody what you're doing right now. Because i think this is going to be perfect and i think it's going to be successful. But tell everybody what you're working on. And how they reach you very cool. So during my downtime i did a lot of networking a lot of talking to kevin lot of talking to friends and then friends of friends and then now friends and connections that. I didn't know i had and one of the nicest guys and i'll give them a shout out because i always loved to name. Is chris tally. Chris was a longtime chief. Communications officer for usaa and our paths crossed. Kevin because of usa's relationship with the army navy game. Chris listen to the show through fox sports radio and then later through yahoo and sporting news and he would stream us locally. Even though chris is A baylor family and was in texas but he loved us and he was very fond of me and still is and i thank him endlessly. He hooked me up with a lot of people in the communications. Npr space and i talked to a great many of them just about ideas about possibly and picking their brain and just opened. Lots of doors for really cool. Zoom calls with people that you know. I like you said i. I prefer to go in and have apa and some ribs and talk to you. I'm not all that comfortable doing networking thing. Not like our dear friend doc walker. Who's.

"What do you think with you in that. I think he should be moved and moved as soon as Of whatever makes the most sense it's it's not gonna work. And i know that you were not a fan of westbrook season. Getting huge amounts of accolades. I i still love him. I will always love him. He is a competitor. I know that's cliche. And i use of the same reason but but you just you watch him you build around and this has nothing to do with bradley beal game or who he is or what he means the community. It's just it's you look around at everybody's nba roster. And i know that you do. He is a he is a guy and it's not that he doesn't fit with westbrook. But at this time at this spot at this juncture if you can get other pieces and built then you do so and you should. Yeah i love westbrook to if westbrook's one of your best players you're never going to win or content for title and i say that with all the love in the world because he's always been one of my favorite players to watch because nobody tries harder in sports teams swertz. He does. But i think what we've learned is when the game slows down in postseason He's he's a wreck he's a mess and I think you know. I think if you're if you're saying gimme the top fifteen players in the game deal. It's really tough to to to say bill or westbrook or on that list. I think deal is very close. But you can't contend for an nba title without having top five ish kind of player. You can't win an nba title based on the last sixteen years without a top five player. Maybe this year will be different. potentially but No one's done it. Since chauncey billips was the best player on detroit's two thousand fourteen. I right and then taking picking a real quick on you know for what radley gives you an. He gives you a lot. You know that the we all know that. The nba is a game of of money and and salaries slot salary cap. And paying for this. You can get what radley brings for a lot less money these days. You just can't. And i know that you know a lot of people have hit the lottery. And i don't mean that in any sort of pun way but guys pan out guys poured on and they're making considerably less than the as and and maybe that's brought to you know to paint with but it just you look at salaries you go. Wait this guy this guy this guy putting comp numbers or brought up you know potentially enough potentially better results across the board look around and just do it differently and if you can break him into pieces that fit better do so aren't. Scotland is with us And i do wanna talk about scott. And i wanna talk about what he's working on here. Steve sands is going to be on the show shortly as well From torrey pines. Where the us open starts to morrow Real quickly on the football team. You know you've been able to sit back. Not as a fan and be a part of the media and view the fan base over the last twenty five to thirty five years And i think there is like an increased level of optimism among fans You know. I don't know that it's all justified but i think you know. Rivera gives people some confidence that there is competence on the sideline. I think the defensive talent and some of the offense talent i think the addition of fitzpatrick has people thinking. You know this might be the best season in a long time coming up. I was i. I did this thing earlier on on the radio. Show where i'm like there. There haven't been many seasons for this franchise. Were you when into it. Being optimistic during the dance nightmare there only a few two thousand was one of those years when they had signed bruce smith and dion sanders and marquette earlier. Jeff george the fantasy football year. Snyder was basic legal. Five hundred. yeah and he was really in his first year as a full owner. 'cause he had joined the club just before the season in one thousand nine hundred nine but they were coming off a division title. That's the last time. Scott that legitimately. They were thought of as a super bowl contender literally. The last time it happened was two thousand because they really were. You know they were going into that. Two thousand season one of the favorites in the nfc to win the nfc championship. There hasn't been any other season since where they've been among the top three four five favorites to to get to the super bowl out of the nfc. But i remember that season. I remember after two thousand five joe gibbs i i think he found his footing a little bit in that second year and there was some excitement about two thousand six. They wanna playoff game in two thousand five. The last time they wanna playoff game at tampa I definitely feel like there was some excitement going into year. Two of rg three even though he'd come off that serious injury. I think there was a ton of excitement and optimism. I think after twenty fifteen even though you knew it was a bad defensive team. I think the offense and winning a division And having maybe the answer at the time at quarterback people optimistic and then. I think there's this year to me. Two thousand actually isn't really debatable. Because they were a legitimate top two or three. Pick to make it to the super bowl and we didn't know it. Snyder was at that point. You watched all of this from afar over the years and you know you you have at times. Certainly in your office is i. Fell asleep on your couch. Mocked the fan base a little bit to a certain degree with respect to what do you think. What do you think about the team. And what do you think. The fan base thinks right now. Are you sensing that. They're ahead of.

"He was all over the place. Finish up the game with four turnovers but you know. Did he get to be completely ignored. The answer's no finished up one for ten. But you know the the the Additive here with jeff green being almost perfect from three seven for eighty minutes except for that one time so that was huge for them otherwise basically it is durant alone. Is jeff green able to do that every single night. He's able to chip in the echo. Seven or eight. That was huge. There needed to be you know the nets and their two losses had not gotten anybody else to step up. I mean joe. Harris has been shooting very poorly since game two in this series and they needed somebody to step up and i mentioned yesterday. They need a begin. Game from joe harris tonight if they're going to do it without without hardening kyrie and i didn't like their chances without either one of those players and it was green. Green was brilliant. I mean uncle. Uncle jeff who has will had twenty seven off the bench. He was seven for eight and none of the seven he made even came close to even nicking the rim. They were perfect he was he was phenomenal. You know here's here's a question What do you do with in game six now. The that now that you're up three to you rest them and say let's get him completely ready for game seven or do you playoff game six. I would play him in game six but feel free to play it by ear if things aren't looking good and he's not looking good. 'cause here's here's my i'll be prepared to eat crow if you'll get a text you i think he'll be fine in game number six. I think he needed to do this. Feel this and i mean could. He was one for the night as one for ten and he's had in harassed by the way the guy that also needs to be hero they were combined three for twenty one one for fifteen from deep. They were both atrocious. I think it'll be fine. I think you have to play him. Yeah i i think Yeah i if he's healthy. And i don't even know what kyrie status is like. I don't know if it's possible that he's back for any one of these games. That was a bad role of the ankle and probably resulted in one of those high ankle. Sprains that are really sometimes worse than breaking your ankle The only other thing that i wanted to say about the game in in terms of budenholzer who i just think you know. I don't think nash does much Booth holes or for whatever reason played brook lopez for thirty six minutes in in watching the game again. My perspective is always a little bit different. When i know the final score but i couldn't believe how they kept switching and allowing low pest car durant dramatic to i. Don't you know at some point like you either have to go small with the guy portis. Who played for the wizards. Who i i really like in did not play a minute last night in the game and put jaanus at the five Or you stop switching the screen. They didn't guard durant the way they guarded him sunday without harden on the floor because they were doubling him every single time and they wore them out physically which makes durant's performance last night. Forty eight hours later playing all forty eight minutes even more incredible But i. I didn't get it. i didn't get it. I thought the bucks in watching it again not live. I thought they should have been up by twenty five at halftime. They're up by sixteen and then defensively. I don't know what they were thinking at times in the second half by the way. Scott i mentioned this before This postseason with durant's forty nine last night In that game this postseason has now produced sixteen individual performances of forty or more points in a game sixteen. Were not even done with the second round the last two years in the entirety of the playoffs yet. Thirteen and eleven. This is an historic Postseason in terms of just individual brilliance. And i think last night you know somebody tweeted me and said it was last night. The performance of the postseason. It probably was 'cause nobody's ever gone for forty five plus fifteen plus ten plus in a game It probably was especially given the forty eight minutes but there have been so many of them. I mean lillard. Fifty five were amazing. The disappointing part about that is. He didn't take a shot. In the final three minutes of the second overtime i thought he could had sixty five. I think kawais game six against a dallas to keep them alive when he went for forty. Five is up there. Luca had a couple of great games Booker's had a couple of great. It's amazing the the somebody called this morning. Scott and said. I think this era of nba individual greatness is sneaking up on us as one of the best collection of great players. We've ever seen in a game. I think that might be. He mentioned lucas performance. The one name that i was waiting for it to sort of take down the list was and maybe it's just that we're used to it or maybe because obviously they went out relatively quickly. Pardon me especially by the sweep against the sun and that was nicole and you know his thirties. Twenty ten thirty eight can eleven. Whatever whatever and you're like this is you know for him. That's normal night's work The guy that were missing. I know that obviously it's the playoffs. Mitchell not available is is if murray was available you may have seen a another couple of forties you know. Go by the wayside with guys just getting their stroke on for the nuggets and they probably would still be around as great as paul who you know briefly mentioned with the the covert exposure. And obviously he's up in the air for the next series whenever it starts. Maybe his absences shorter because again to two series. So he's sitting waiting and and biding his time and hoping to pass through protocols but his greatest he's been if murray's there it's probably different series or at least they're still playing kevin. Yeah i mean like. I'm going down the list There's a a really good website that keeps track of all of the postseasons and the individual best performances by points right so this particular offseason. We've had lillard had fifty five. Tatum had a game where he went for fifty Tatum also had a game where he went for. Forty in their short series against brooklyn durant forty-nine booker in john mirant each had forty seven point performances. Donncha forty six co. why donovan. Mitchell of each.

"To. He carries himself in such a. You can tell he's having fun internally kevin but the fact that he carries himself in such a business assassin like men are all the time and he's just you know i think that's part of the draw for him he's the anti-star like in a sport where there's so much look at me. He's the anti-star. Yeah that's a big part of it. Of course people of our age ten to like people who aren't so self absorbed Who aren't so consumed with themselves on social media who aren't sensitive T to social media and just go out and basically Build their reputation on action. Yeah that's a big part of it but it's also i love the way he plays scott. He's got this incredible patience about him the way he goes to work. It's it's a very quiet thirty seven when he gets year like really he's got thirty seven and then the fact that he does it on both ends now my one criticism of y as it's been about a lot of the players in the nba the load management stuff. I you know. I'm not a big load management guy. And i for the last couple of years. Look if you're going to take games off. His main he takes a lot of them off during the regular season. Now he was hurt a little bit here and there during the regular season this year. But you better do it in the postseason like you know. Don't don't take all these games off telling me that you're gonna you're gonna be there and you're going to deliver when the games matter And then not and but he's always done it now. He didn't do it in the bubble last year but we know what he did with toronto two years ago and what he had already been doing in this postseason he's got a couple of the true brilliant performances in the postseason. We'll get to the durant Show last night but that's devastating news. for really i. I'm curious as to what you think i did. One of those you know. I'm required to do one of these twitter polls every day you know you gotta come up with a twitter poll every day right. So what should i have for breakfast. Something softwares or something. But it's got you know it's gotta be sports radio show and so yeah but it's sponsored by our good friends at window nation and so i've got to come up with an idea for twitter. Poll every day and it's not easy to come up with something compelling everyday today wasn't great but i just said off of durant performance last night. I said so far. The nba playoffs have been dot dot dot your favorite Continuation and i gave four options. Brilliant thrilling Better than i thought barely watchable or unwatchable. I think these playoffs have been phenomenal. I think the individual performances. We've never seen a postseason with with this many individual all time great performances And we'll get to durant here in a moment. I think they've been great but losing kawhi. Leonard will lessen that for me especially if they ended up losing this series because he can't play in it anymore. Yeah and i mean again. You know because you're watching him. You're watching them. I i would say not even silver lining because you know that. Utah's now look across. Go away the other guys not there. Suddenly our jobs easier.

"And a good camp right exactly once you once. You settled on your screen play. You've settled on your cats. You shoot the movie. How long are you how old you tend to edit and do you do you question yourself. You questioned the writing. While you're in the editing process. The good thing about that is. I went into it saying i'll figure out which guys she ends up with at some point in the process of making the film and i shot it in sequence allowing for that to happen And then there was. There was no honest way. I could put her with either guy. I just. I just felt you know and deprived me of an and and and that's what happened. I a you know because it but it was. It was a great way to do every scene. Because you because you know you're the oh. The danger is always actors playing a result. You're you know that's always a danger will hear. There was no intentive result. We weren't setting up somebody to be the foci and somebody to win the girl and i think that gave us Something vivid that could possibly have been there without it and it stood by the way. I still a brilliant film revisiting. Recently it hasn't lost one of its of its infant but when the casting is when when you're that lucky with the casting it's is yeah. Yeah but the writing and directing don't hurt either. I say there is that now. I read that as good as yet started off to be a different entity wound up being how choose that Very true It was It was it was called old friends. and it was somebody else's script we met and And it was a good script and it was it was It was about a guy that mean it was about throwing the dog down. The chute was was there at the beginning and And there was an artist and there was a waitress and it was pretty serious. And i said let me work on it and i worked a year on it and it was so it was. It was like a real partnership real writing team that was never in the same room writing together the way it work but but it went to you. Know we were writing team and And then during that there was a decision to make a clinical matter that the you know the you know that he that he that he had this. Ocd that it wasn't just temperament and And that it was a comedy you know certainly suddenly with you know some pain in it but accommodate and how does that. How does that decision get made the through the Through the process itself. I think there was even even when we were filming. There was there was a there was a time when he's when when east sat when when the gay characters savagely beaten And and you know within an inch of his life and he's recovering in the hospital and two people come to visit him and the day of shooting. I decided to play it for laughs and and it was like it was like amazing because he was so beat up and it and it was and it turned out to be so important because just at the So funny at the end of the day with any movie tone can become a question..

"Yeah i think he adopted a philosophy. I think in time. Maybe you're the one who pushed into to that. That level of acceptance that. His book is always going to be his book. And you are. Movie is an adaptation. It's a different animal and had an had he mentored me at all. It would have been a very different movie because him giving me that marching order you know allows some changes to be made. I want have been free to make them. Otherwise i felt right now. Is it true that The original plan was to star. Burt reynolds in the role eventually played by jack. Nicholson no no. I want i i wanted. Nobody wanted anybody but jack for anything that was going on a motion picture screen. Right i was. I was i was different and then the burt reynolds had been in starting over. And i wanted to get it made and And he said he do it. So i could. I could make number one box office person at the time. And then and then dustin hoffman. Dropped out of a movie. I forget what it was it was there was somebody who was a man you know just with a lot of women in it and do you know leonard. It's he dropped out. And and i had worked with bird and i knew how birth saw me because he gave me a gift and a jacket and the jacket was two sizes too small so it was so clear. And in this case and we we've done a movie together as a writer producer and he had his publicity agent. Call me and say birth. Doing your movie. This is after and everything that well everybody's fine but but and he wants you to know he loves you so then that happened and tabora. I ended up talking to debra about that part and she she got jacked to consider she really did and then things went from there. And i knew jack a little at the time because we were on the same law.

Taxi of course is beloved but it was canceled twice right. Yeah yeah but to we were. We cancelled We were cancelled we. I think we had won the best comedy three times in a row and And we were cancelled by abc. By a guy who nobody could see again. He was in that job from minute and a half the clock. The sandile was running out and in that the half that he was in that job he canceled taxi. And then and then i called grant. We were all we've ever that was. It's one of the great things we some of us are talking about it the other day and as we cancelled the cast started coming to the office. All right as we. We had a huge drunk that night and And in the middle of the drunk call. Grant tinker was the head of nbc. Then and he says. I can't do anything for you. I just want you to you know. And then he picks off for a year so we got another year. The best the best. If i can give anybody column trunk and heartfelt chip. Don't hear replace john when we look for a job. Yeah it's insane. To think about the cast in taxi and mary tyler moore and how many of them worked consistently and and still into to this day. I mean you've got someone like betty white that people will kill for and rightfully so you know and and asner and asner you know. The man doesn't i don't know how but he's everywhere the grouchy humans i've ever met in my life but god door him still indestructible. He is now. What did you always have in the back of your mind during this phase of your career that you really want to make a movie now i had. I had no ambition to direct. I you know none and an control my work when you're when you know when when you're the executive producer and you're a writer you can you control the work so i had all the satisfactions of that and And then i. I wrote a movie i took time off and i wrote a movie.

"Oft. That's plenty of things like the yeah. Usually there. Or is named after the case or the case you know what I'm saying what it could be such such versus Donald Rain But I. Get that but this. Amy Cooper Bill. This. Amazing I love your. Amy I'd be mad, Shit. The Facts. So the other thing I had that I wanted to bring so I don't know if y'all y'all been paying attention I want to say I, said it last week where the Marine Corps band the confederate flag so now it's Kinda like more widespread. There's more people in more institutions that are banning the confederate flags actually. Yeah Yeah, so I'm GONNA get there. I'm going to get. There I'M GONNA. Get there, so I. Before I got into the NASCAR thing I, wanted to talk about the creator of the confederate flag in his own words why he created the confederate flag for four seen. So he says as a people we are fighting to maintain the heaven ordained supremacy of the white man, inferior or race, a white flag with us be emblem, medical of our cause upon a red field, would stanforth our southern cross, jammed preserving and beautiful contrast the red white and blue. William T. Thompson April. Twenty third eighteen sixty translation, fuck y'all niggers basically, and here goes the muff a symbol as to why we say fuck, you I'm is right so then. NASCAR after all of this type of stuff happened. They ban the confederate flag. Right? The we talk about that on sports record. Okay! Well I guess. We had a store. So is I saw that and I was like Oh. That's going to be very interesting for NASCAR because the majority of their fan base are confederate toting tight focus. You know what I'm saying, so. I'm like Okay I. WanNa see how this boils overplays over with their with their fan base, so there is a nascar driver. Does he count as a NASCAR driver because he one zero? He. I know he's not really don't really know he'd liked the Michael Candy of. Who Cares he? Is Nascar Bro William. while. They really thought that was fake. Not Understand, but he was a mean saying like he was pretty much. Saying like a scarlet said you took everything from me in Nascar. Hollywood Does the NASCAR driver that I'm talking about. His name is racist Ereli and basically, and this is a quote. This is his own worst, so you can't buck. In fact, only mean shit is for real. So he says well, it's been a fun. Ride and dream come true, but if this is direction of NASCAR is headed, we will not participate after the twenty twenty season is over i. don't believe in kneeling during the atom, nor taking people right to fly whatever flag they love. I could care less about the confederate flag, but there are people that do, and it doesn't make them a racist. All you are doing is I'm GONNA say fucking one group to cater to another and I ain't spend the money. We are to participate in any political BS, so everything is for sale. So I saw that and I'm like first of all who took issue number one because you're not like, don't nobody know racist? Him though. If people did know well. Only one you know is Dale Earnhardt. Dislike me. No, I watch NASCAR. I watched car. Lucky you because you like I love cars, so I don't necessarily like. NASCAR, like that. My favorite motor sport is F one. I just think. The one where starting to go real fast and they stopped you. Guys go from there. Yeah Yeah Yeah. Racing. That's different. Drag drag, racing. I watched that, too, but like the sanctioned light, even though that sanctioned. Nascar F one like you kind of know the drivers in the type of cars. This formula a Formula One. That's I thought that was drag racing Nah no so I do watch motor sport. I WATCH NASCAR here and there. I'm not that interested just because the majority of their tracks they it's a fucking oval, and that doesn't interest me that much. However I do know some you know Nascar people and stuff like that, but this was just like really. Really, and it's like that just shows you. How ignorant you are to what the history of that flag met when he literally said. Well. He knows he's white. Last name easiest talion the me. Man They, don't they scholars and No one hundred percent. I don't know man I saw that and I'm just like it's so crazy to really think that there are a whole bunch of white people that feel. Like him! I mean yeah, someone. I'm I'm just saying it's Kinda. Like is being put to our face that there are people on this planet that literally do not like just because of what we look like or the color of our skin. We'll be back after this quick break.
