Have you said that recent better. He said the Nazis are bad disavowed. What is he talking about? Trump never even met David. Duke doesn't know anything about any of disavowed. Obviously he's a racist anti-semite, said the chickens coming home to roost after nine eleven a vile man It would be nice to know that the president's own potential president when he was running does not support Jeremiah Wright wouldn't nipping. Isn't that kind of A good question. Do you still support that topic? I mean that racist He literally is talking about I assume about Hitler and and Farrakhan There Right, Desha was Jack's. Has To disavow Hitler Farouq. have to like none of this should have. As offensive is what does Shawn Jackson is? He's the catch a football. Nobody should care what he says outside, but nobody should get any NFL player has to say anything. That's our problem, we obviously we have to fight fire with fire. You and so you have to pretend to be just as outraged about what he said in demand that he be cancelled and stuff like if we're gonNA fight that way, but nobody should have to in a perfect world, nobody should have to frigging. Apologize for anything like your opinions. You're paid to catch a ball. Shut up play but I do think you should be Asked to explain this should be a follow up like with Stephen Jackson when he faced the questions. Like what do you mean by that? What do you mean? The Jews have a plan? Dominate the world. I mean you really believe that I I be. Have to say that you took to make you believe that love everybody, not stamp everybody. This random nobody on instagram is getting more information on of Steven Jackson it's just it's. Doesn't come from them and I guess it comes from Farrakhan and Sharpton. They're all at. Prior Concept. But what would you think someone like Steven Jackson really thinks the Jews control all the banks, yes. Yes yes, let me what does that mean? They're keeping the black people. And where do you get I guess? It's an home launches. oricon videos correct. Yeah there's no I mean. This is the effect or Ilhan Omar videos they could. Same thing difference at this point. So something. I mean they really clearly I think he definitely believes the stuff. the literally. There are Jewish puppet masters out there pulling the strings on in either society to oppress black people, which is the most anti Semitic thing wherever like Jews are white, ultimately and in this country are not what's considered a marginalized group because they're not struggling with problems that other communities are so nobody gives. Gives a shit about them. You're allowed to say stuff like that. That's okay, somehow well again. We'll find out like you mentioned Jeff of the owner of the Eagles Jeff Lurie. Showtime Star and a spokesman, and and a big civil rights, leader and He thinks the Jews control the banks. No big deal, no big deal. He did in his last video last night. He did He is quoted as saying. I don't support Hitler. I don't know nothing about, Hitler. Not Saying. About. He didn't say that. Last night on instagram. Yes, Yep, he said. Okay, he's cool. He doesn't support Hitler. Nothing about Hiller. How is that possible that you don't know nothing about Jarvis? Why do you support? John Jackson's Semitic goes. If you have love, were all well I, do have love Ron and I, did support the Hitler and him supporting Hitler I. Don't support I. Don't know nothing about Hillary. I don't give a fuck about it. All I know he cool down I. was a cruel guy. What Cool said did you say crueler, cool, cruel, cruel, cruel with our I heard cool. Are You E. L. Cruel? Never heard that this describe it like rule I mean evil or whatever diabolical don't know nothing about, and then how he's. You know he's cruel cruel. Let's confirm that's cruel and not cool. Jonathan says. Why do you support John? Jackson's antisemitic coast? If you have love or all I do have love for on and I did support the Hitler and him support Hitler I. Don't support, I. Don't know nothing about Hillary I. Don't give a fuck about him all I know he was a cool guy i. don't stand for that. Forty my whole. for supporting Dj that was. Before I got an Instagram e called me. On, the phone and told me that was threatening to fire him. But they didn't do that to Cooper and I'm like you right? You shouldn't have to apologize if they make him apologize and that was my host I. Don't hate. Jews I don't support here what they are wrong for handling dejected because cooper, says the inward public concert, they slapped on the wrist and he got a contract extension never talked about being fired. But they wanna find idea jack and see a lot of people try to deflect. Did I call the owner out or how he had the the black man in the white man, and trying to deflect the medicine, like I hated Jews and our support giver today. I'm saying that you Brian. They knocked us off I. Think Today Naso. But that's quote. Every player has their famous quote. Maybe you can have that on his jersey. Although he's not active anymore. Maybe another play can have it fuck it. Ler didn't think the Sean Jackson called them I mean that was his last idiot. Last night he had done the press story done Don Lemon. He had done all this stuff. And that kid on instagram still he wouldn't say to the kid on instagram that he condemned the Schon Jackson's post, and now all of a sudden. The Sean Jackson's. He does any of this stuff out I mean I think obviously we all would condemn anti-semitism and find in a violent evil, but in some forms. It's scary like with the BLASIO. He doesn't like Jewish people. We've seen him shutting down. Mosques arresting Jewish people that shutting down a synagogue. That is scary, but when you have a moron like this, saying that Jews are going to take over the world, don't you almost dismiss them? As just an idiot who doesn't really have any power is just again watching a Farrakhan video or a reading. Instagram post from some lunatic. Isn't it almost? Insignificant, he's so dumb, yes, Platform Jerry that when you have a platform, you can influence minds and then I mean that's the argument, right? That's why they kick people off on twitter, saying things that are unpopular you a platform and you're spreading this. Dangerous hate speech to lots of. Point right, he's got a platform and Roger. Stone does not but It'll be interesting because he's plan for the Eagles. The Eagles are owned by Jewish guy. It's Kinda like it's like Barstool employees are are are dumping all over the owner and the owners just gotTa. Sit there. Take it love to watch it burn. More of that blaze eventually Portnoy, you can tell he's on the verge of of Lucid, because this guy is literally built his career on being offensive and not caring about anyone's feelings, and it happens when it comes to joke he he made a joke about girls and skinny jeans, deserving to be raped he..

"With underlying health conditions in this they healthy. Chill up. In the State of Massachusetts I'm not surprised in a world I mean. You you don't get honest numbers because kids could have underlying conditions that they don't report it could. It could be a ten year old aways. Three hundred pounds something like that, but for healthy six seven ten twelve year olds. If you let if you let the government if you let a hack like Charlie Baker. Keep your kids home, and you're okay with that. Then you are the problem. You are. Dave Cullen is the problem he's like. Yeah, well. You know it can't be too careful. Careful of what of what take what? Or give it. Tell me why a kid should not be in school. First of all, they should have been in school the whole time the way it should have been canceled for one day not one day. They knew this a long time ago. They're invested in the fear. If you're if you hate trump like half, the country does certainly DEMOC and you want to help this old man Biden you WanNa. Help Him in November. You need to extend this fear. You need people to be afraid and if they're not, that feels like the country's coming back. That's another reason. We'll get to the IVY. League that I, mean there there. There's no reason for the Ivy League to be canceling. You know crew. They're canceling sports right all sports. What's Your Sport Paulo? They're canceling whatever else swimming crew. There's zero reason for that. I should say zero. There's one reason for that to to to destroy the evil, Orangemen? That's it. He's duplicitous people. What a sad pathetic country! We have full of people that we just allowed this to happen. We allow we we. Turn on the television and one hundred thousand people marching for Black Trans Lives. Nobody complained that was perfectly fine, and then because of that because of these protests, there was this quote unquote spike. Spike because people are dying the dying at ten percent of the rate that they were in April so cases don't matter doesn't matter. You might as well get a tummy ache. It does not matter. The amount of content that you should have for your government for them to literally spit in your face by allowing these protests that happen participating them, and then saying well, there's a spike now, so your kids have to suffer. They don't get to go to school because we allowed this to happen. Instead the people if they don't revolt because of that than they are pathetic, cowardly and they deserve. Conan I could tell he's okay. You don't WanNa. Be Can't be too careful. Keep the kids home. Impact me right now, so it's A. And you have friends around your age are saying. Let's be I am amazed how dumb people are shouldn't be. I grew up in Massachusetts. I've saw people vote for Ted Kennedy for. My whole life is Warren now. They've they're ED. Markey, we are the dumbest voters Massachusetts, but in this case it's not that complicated. You don't need to really re to deepen to look too deep into it. Kids don't get it. They don't give it. They're much much better off at school when they stay home. You have these problems we've heard I. Guess I watched Fox News so I get these. Kids who committed suicide a doctor mark? Siegel you know the medical guy on. Fox He did a report yesterday. And the any dedicated to an eleven year, old kid in New Mexico, who was locked away for four months, and killed himself him from loneliness, and and you know we've gone over the numbers and San Francisco. More people have died of drug overdoses suicide then of the coronavirus in one area in northern California That's a problem. I mean you guys know I guess your kids are too young, but you know say ten twelve fourteen sixteen year old. Out of school for a long time is bad for his mental health, it is not a good thing and yet people go along. I guess I understand why Charlie Baker's doing what he's doing. He's a cynical politician. He looks at his numbers. His numbers approval rating is Great. The Globe rights great things about him. He doesn't. He's using children. He's using. Children. Is using, Jerry. Middle. Liberal. What? This this is a class thing people that can afford to keep their kids home from school home school them like a lot of people are saying that I'm just GonNa Home School Your Kid. You have that luxury, right? The people that I'm seeing saying that they're mostly upper middle class. White people the kids that need to be in school, the most the kids that get the most out of school that need the most services are poor. Children of color more often than not more than counterparts. So what we are doing you talk about systemic racism. This lockdown is stomach racism because it is keeping kids who need the services, the most away from those services, because white people in the suburbs are scared of the virus that hardly anybody anymore. I think you make a good point with the lockdown. I mean with the protests. The protesters spread the virus. That's a fact you you're getting lied to by your government You know by your mayors by your governors when they say it, didn't they know it? Did they know it would? They gave it the blessing anyway, but the protests are all young, and they're not dying, so it skews the numbers or You get more cases many many more cases, but fewer deaths, so if you're watching CNN or NS NBC, or you reading the Globe and they're talking about the spike in cases, ask yourself one question. So what so? What if I could cases? That's that's who cares if there's a spike in cases, if the deaths are plummeting the deaths as you point out a down like eighty nine percent since April the people who have done. have been protected. Even in new. York, where killer? Cuomo killed six thousand citizens, even there. They've smart up and protected the vulnerable. So if the kids get it and don't know it so what I mean their kids I know kids who are college kids who are getting tested for antibodies. They're coming up negative and they're bummed disappointed. They're like I want to get this over with I want to get through it, so I can get on with. A turtle boys point a white suburban mom of a kid. You know in kindergarten. Our kids probably going to get it and be okay, and she's just GonNa. Be Okay Fine. We'll just send it back. First of all is not going to get it. I'm saying if the kid were to get it. That's a long shot, but if the keyword yet it. What does she thinks can happen kids in kindergarten they don't. have it. Don't know it, so, what does she think is going to happen? What did they say? In in Texas there was like fifteen hundred new cases attributed to daycares. Wasn't that the number an eight eight hundred four? That's there's no freaking back this I give it to this person. There's no way of knowing that's anytime. You see something like that just bogus. It's just a way a practice. The fact it was a CNN headline. It's a fact. See there it is. Accused Funny. My wife turned over to me yesterday and says. Did you see that Corona virus case? They're spiking because the in Tulsa because trump's rally. In Protest Wan. Trump rally one. Nobody went to remember that they also. True. Nobody went to and but. The idea that schools or even colleges colleges. That's a the. They should insist on going back. They should not. If you want to be smart, go back. Just don't leave and the plan was go back to school. No one's gonNA leave 'til thanksgiving. That should be the plan, and by then maybe things will change, but when you say, don't go back then they're interacting possibly with vulnerable people with with you know whatever elderly parents or grandparents. If they go to college, they're around people, their age and their. You know people who are not high risks. That's a good thing that should be considered good thing. The problem is and I laughed at this yesterday like Ivy League. Ivy League announced, they'll have no sports, not just football, but no sports went up. Whatever what else is in the fall soccer with hockey when his crew was that like in the fall or the spring canceling all those sports before whatever reason we not going to get the game. We're not GONNA get Harvard. Or No, the game! No, no, the game and it's. Stanford yesterday canceled eleven other sports because the thing about this is that the football is the biggest money maker and all these. Other sports exist because of football and without football, which looks like the PAC twelve is not a real football conference. They don't care about football. It's not like they're. They're not gonNA go I guarantee they're going to make significant less revenue, and as a result, all these other sports have to get cut before so that's what the University of Alabama Ohio State Clemson. They'RE NOT GONNA they're gonNA, go. They're going to fill the stadiums up. If they're gonNA fill the stadiums, but they're gonNA play and they're going to. Have you know some maybe half the seats instead of one hundred thousand dollars fifty thousand, which just be you know a window-dressing? It won't matter but answer me this. Your Navy League whatever it is President Ad. They all get together. You think those guys are just. Can you think those guys are Mag? Is you think those guys are trump guys? Yale is white supremacist. was founded by a slave trader. Let's not forget that that name Yale. Alushi Lucielle it was a slave, made a living made his money trading human people, human beings and built that.

I. Don't think that's going to happen, but it is I. I can't imagine the anxiety someone like you. Turtle or you? Calling in has knowing the people who are making the decision on whether you can send your children back to school where they can learn a I mean. Obviously their kids go to public schools right? They can get in. Verse thing that they're young so that you don't have to worry about them. Getting doctrine aided yet, wait until they get the highschool, but you. You need to get the back to school. They need to interact with other kids they need to get out of the house. Is the healthiest thing for them by far? It is much much much better for them and yet they are the new political pawns they are in. In a new political pawns in this game to destroy trump to bring down trump to prop up biden every day. You're sitting there waiting I assume for the announcement that note no school. They're gonNA. Stay home. They're gonNA have no interaction. They got no in sports. No recess no gym, no nothing all because someone like in at least Massachusetts Charlie. Baker New York Cuomo Murphy Gretchen Whitmer. They all are in. Cahoots here. They're all in this on the same team trying to her trump, and if you're only gets hurt if your kids get hurt so what? They're their collateral damage. We got more important things to do here. Did did Charlie Parker cry yesterday when he spoke about the president trump threatening to cut some funding if if schools didn't open to Kreider. Right and wrong. In this case, it's not just this is not big gray hair. This right and wrong. There is no zero reasons a child. A kindergarten child that which turtle boy has a kid. Going to kindergarten shouldn't be going back to kindergarten. Schools, get federal funding if they're not open. UNQUESTIONED WHY. Taxpayers should get a rebate well, you know why because teachers get paid anyway. Of course, teachers don't want to go back to work. They're enjoying their four month vacation, so they are working lesbian. My Wife's teacher they do. They do some work right? But the they. The cost of keeping a building running is extremely expensive, and that cost is just gone now, so taxpayers should pay less. It's going to be just the opposite. Because there's no revenue they're going to you. Know they no one single state, worker Massachusetts, or you name it. New York New Jersey Michigan. WHO's been laid off for them? It's been a four-month vacation for them. This has been a godsend. It's been like you know Sabbatical. They're. They're not doing with the private sector's doing. They're not laying people off in cutting pay, and you know furloughing people. This is strictly a burden for the private sector public sector except for cops with our another. Political. Pond the the place, but in this case. I would lose my mind I'm already kind of losing my mind at the notion that children should be kept home since September. I mean I know him no -demia, but I've read enough I know you have turtle, I know you. I know you've listened at least to me colony. Tell me one reason that a six year old should not go back to kindergarten. What we jerry they could. They could come in contact with another cat who is in bed and they could come home, and then they could have their to have the could hug GRANDPA, and then he could die of Kobe so you WanNa kill okay first of all. I hope GRANDPA's staying away. Hope GRANDPA in the nursing home, or even if he's just at his home is not interacting with the secondly the head of the CDC that the guy with the beard little goatee. Says Name Again, forget Redfield! He said kids don't transmit it. This is the head of the CDC IT OF A. Pretty political organization that's that airs on the side of fear as we've learned. Kids don't Trent kids don't and for the most part I mean. There's a statistical. There's always always an exception, but statistically the chances of kids getting it is zero giving it is zero, but how many how many kids are being tested for it? Though like how much how much world in the world plenty we're talking about the whole world I mean there was test in Italy a study in Italy I think it was like three hundred fifty four hundred kids were tested zero positives. Zero kids died in Massachusetts from Kobe total in the United States. Twenty nine kids under eighteen of died all of them. I'm pretty sure all of them..

Are we doing enough to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
"Joined by. Dr Ezekiel Emanuel former Obama. White House Health Policy Advisor. He's Vice Provost Global Initiatives University of Pennsylvania and Dr Peter Hotels Dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine Doctor Manual. When we start with you. Where do you see us right now? Are we doing enough in terms of large scale social disruption and changes to slow the transmission of this epidemic? So first of all. I've been saying for several weeks now that it's going to get worse before it gets better. Parsley it's GonNa get worse because we have testing. That's just going to show us how prevalent the illness is. It's also getting worse because we know we have more community acquired infections as I mentioned to someone today. You know one week ago. We weren't even talking about new Rochelle and now new. Rochelle is a major topic in New York. And that's a lockdown and if we focus on new Rochelle without thinking about all the other places that this virus is maybe Washington. Dc maybe the suburbs of Baltimore. Who knows where the problem is? We need a more systematic less uneven response. That has to be pretty uniform. Because just 'cause we're seeing it new Rochelle doesn't mean Rochelle's the only place in New York that Scott and that response does have to include things like much more prevalent testing so we really have a handle on who's got it and who doesn't and a really good model is South Korea if you look at their trends you can see that. They're beginning to bend in South Korea. We also do need to inform people. We use the term social distancing like everyone knows what it means. It's not immediately obvious to people what that entails and how much you need to be separate from people explain to what should people know about but a large part of it. You people have come up with all these numbers no more than one hundred people to meet no more. The issue is density. How close are you to people? How easy is it for the droplets to spread? How much are you sort of packed in light sardines or not and that real? I mean that's a physical thing That is really important and I do think we probably need to educate people to minimize the. They're our contact and to stay home more. You can go out where there's no one else if you're going walking in the woods or something or going to a place where there are other people But I do think Restricting how we move around is going to be important I will note that not every but most of the Ivy League schools now for example colleges mine included. We're going online. The second half of the semester is all going to be online. Students aren't going to be in. Dormitories accepts students. That can go back to their home country and still complete the semester. So you are seeing a lot of action. But it's not concerted and that's what it's not systematic and that's what's bothering me Dr Hotels. We've been checking with you throughout the unfolding of the goal pandemic and I'm curious. Are we learning more about the virus itself about the basics about the transmission rate? Which seems to be maybe lower than at first. We thought the fatality rate the incubation period. Where is our knowledge right now about this so the transmission rate still seems to be? Pretty High Dr Fao. She mentioned. It's probably a significantly higher than the influenza as well as the mortality rate. But the you know just to echo and reinforce some of the things zeke Doctor Emmanuel was was saying we've learned a few things from a recent analysis. My colleague Mark Lipchitz sit at Harvard School of Public Health Chan School of Public Health together with a student a doctoral student. Ruan Lee didn't analysis of the Chinese cities in terms of how severe the epidemic is with the extreme example being Wuhan rare nine thousand people wound up in and severely ill with two thousand in the ICU versus city. Like Long Joe where there was only twenty a big difference right and it looked like it's primarily to do to how quickly you got on top of things after sustained community transmission started. So they let it go for six weeks. Before they implemented aggressive control and testing whereas in Guangzhou were the only at twenty cases one week. What's the lesson learned from the United States We're now about three weeks into this in terms of sustained community transmission. We had our first case of community transmission around the end of April so subtract a week before then. So we're getting to the point where because we're not doing adequate diagnostic testing and implementing those very important control measures. That seek pointed out. We're in a situation. Where we could risk being closer to Wuhan and Guangzhou and and we do we. We can't be there so now is a very critical period over the next couple of weeks where we have to be very aggressive about closing down major venues. We just this Houston. Today with the Rodeo was a tough decision but was the right decision that we're going to have to do this all over the country right now and the reason is this because if we miss that opportunity we then have. Our new problem becomes surge capacity hospitals. Where we're not gonNA have enough beds. We're not GONNA have enough into ventilators. We don't want to go in that direction. So now's now czar. Big Schnauzer going to be our last chance. We've already missed that in over the last few weeks. Can I reemphasize something? Peter says which is so in the entire United States. We have about eight hundred thousand hospital beds a little under eight hundred thousand hospital beds. In the entire United States we have under seventy thousand adult intensive care unit. Beds we have about sixty five thousand ventilators with the strategic supply. I've heard that it goes up slightly under one hundred thousand. That's our maximum capacity in the country at the moment if you imagine that even two percent of the population gets the corona virus and we have about six percent who are seriously. Ill GonNa need a respirator. We've exhausted all that supply. Just for those patients. Forget the heart attack patients. Forget the patients who need it for any other reason and I think what Peter said is exactly right we probably have missed two or three turns over the last few weeks where we could have gotten things down and just focusing on the hot spots. Seattle New Rochelle. I think is not. We need a much more systematic countrywide approach so that we don't overwhelm the healthcare system. Which already you know doesn't have that much search capacity in it. Dr Hotels Final Point to you for people that are watching this I. I've struggled with this for the last three weeks right. Communicating in a way that does not induce catastrophe or panic but also is clear eyed about the risks. And I do think it's worth just going back to the distinction between your individual risk you random American one of three hundred thirty million that you will get very sick and need to be hospitalized or may as life threatening illnesses that individual risk for any given random person is probably low in the grand scheme of things and this systemic risk to the society and to the healthcare system which is extremely high at this moment. Is that a fair way of phrasing. It yeah absolutely and also remember. It's it's all about communicating. What our top priorities are in. This is what I've been disappointed about. We've lost a lot of time because of a blanket statements that are not backed by data saying this is contained. This is this is the cold. This is the flu when in fact we know that there are specific groups that are at high risk including older older individuals those with underlying disabilities and our healthcare workers. And so what I've been looking for is at the White House. Press briefings to say. Look these are four. Bit Concerns Right. These are three or four populations That were concerned about This is a why we need to get on top of this very quickly. And here's what we're doing about it and and historically the American people have responded very well to this They understood this three. Bola Zeka as we say. This is not our first Rodeo so so we know how to respond and we just need that clear kind of concise messaging right now. All right. Just had one thing to Chris. Point which is we also do know the ass for any individual. The risk is low except we do know that there are certain people and Peter Emphasize of those who are over sixty or sixty five those who have chronic illness. They are at high risk and what we have done in. This country is aggregate them in nursing homes. Those are most vulnerable people people in nursing and we really have to social distance. There reduced the number of visitors. Probably two zero. Make sure that people are counting up and taking a donning protective equipment so that we don't have that Patriot play just explode with corona virus like it did in Seattle because almost every one of them is really on the verge just like the cruise ships. Good Point -portant point Zeki Manual. Dr Peter Hotels. Thank you

Federal judge clears Harvard University in lawsuit alleging racial bias against Asian American applicants
"A federal judge rules in favor of Harvard University in a long running legal fight over allegations that renewed debate over affirmative action boxes colonel Scott has this live the least the district judge Alison Burroughs says there is no evidence the Ivy League school discriminated on racial grounds against Asian American students the group students for fair admissions argued Asian American applicants were held to higher standards in the black and Hispanic students work with lower grades were admitted instead the group says Harvard focused on a subjective personal rating rather than academics judge Berle's did say well the admissions practice what's acceptable was also not perfect this of our affirmative action case could possibly be reviewed by the

"To five thousand first off second of all, it's a bad investment, fifteen hundred five thousand I thought I guess ten granted. I, I didn't realize it was that low, you're getting Bergen, if you're thinking about it. Because most of the kids, like we, we all if you have kids and they pay they play like youth sports. The price of us sports, I have three sons, and I just, I shudder at what I'm gonna pay here in the next how many years, a lot of us pay a lot of money for our kids to play sports. Well, a lot of us, don't have the type of talented children, or I should say naturally gifted children. These children are. So if we're willing to pay that much money, I think you're willing to pay that much more. But I think it's a bad investment, Tom. You, you went to an Ivy league school your Ivy league educated. Did you win a spelling bee? No. I never wanted to what's the point of buying your kid into this, then what's the point? Because if you're in the world of academics, which these children are correct. Then if you're going to make an investment, you make it investment based on where they're going to be, how are there are there's, I'm sure there's one that somebody's gonna find are there. Many CEO's fortune five hundred companies who are were spelling, bee champions. I don't think so. Now, there's no reason to expect that one late into anything. I think I think there's a fairly, I think this is, so if you're a spelling bee person or kid or a family, it's like the whole family is involved in it very often these kids are home schooled, very intense very committed thing that if you end up losing your regional be. But you're totally committed to this thing. You might think that it's worth it to just pay the way in so that, you know, you can continue this quest of spelling. I don't really understand it, and I, I agree that it's not a good investment. But I think that's how we ended up getting sixty two people in the spelling. The reason why we pay for it. So we can put it on a on a entrance exam. Correct. Or on a also applications city if they get to the end. I mean it's on. It's on ESPN the winner gets fifty grand runner up your slogan news. We'll do a story on him. Yeah. I guess so there might be there might be a little bit there. The investment back is if you're a winner. Yeah, you get fifty grand so you get that back out of it. But when I'm sitting here, thinking Tom is that did you need to win the spelling bee to get into an Ivy league school? I assume that all these kids will be able to get an Ivy league schools, the winner will be, I don't necessarily assume that but yeah, sure it has nothing to do with winning spelling bees. You see the words that they can spill it's impressed. I think they'll be able to get in. I think they'll be able to. Get in. I assume okay. Into college. I assume that if you're that good of a speller, you're that good with other academics. Like, I think I would assume that if they can spell those words that I can't even pronounce that they were given the other night, I think that they have no problem with long division. So, I think it'll be okay, but you and I got into an argument about what now Tom now where did this go this way? What, what is worth and investments? The lawyer Tang. Yes. Hang your way into college. Ed, you thought you got mad at me because I said that I thought it was ridiculous. No, no. I wouldn't pay to fudge the numbers on a on a score on. That's what we're saying. We're saying that your kid doesn't have the grades didn't work hard enough to get into USC, but you have the means to make a payment and get them in. Would you do it? Yes or no? That was what we. That's what we I disagreed. With said, I, I if I felt that the I if I felt that my kid was close like if my son is like me in high school. I'm not borderline. You would do it. That wasn't though. Yeah. What Tom if my son was like in high school. I'm sorry. I look at them go, I'm not paying for you to go to Notre Dame. You're not a good investment. I'm sorry. Well, that's hard. I'd have to it's true. But is it is it not true? I have three sons. So if my first son is not smart enough to go to Notre Dame. But wants to go to Notre Dame and I had the money to do. So when I would go. Oh, okay. I guess I'm gonna put a pay for you to go to Notre Dame, and we can we can help build a building. So I give a donation and they'll go, we'll let you into Notre Dame. I'm not gonna do that because I don't think you're a good investment, and right now, I would feel that you would out of Notre Dame. Wow. Well, you don't have you may not have been an amazing high school student and not necessarily have been deserving of going to Notre Dame. But you weren't a bad investment. Look a year a huge success. That's my own path that came on your own work, equal results. And you figured out how to make that work for you, because that is what the life experiences. And there's no reason to buy something that Rob's your own children of a life. Now my father did not pay for my schooling, but my father did tell me the day, I graduated college that he and my mother did not believe I was going to graduate college. He told me that well, well done. You did he didn't. He didn't tell me before I went to college because I wasn't asking them for money before I went to college, if I would have been asking for money I feel I might have gotten that truth, I was not a great high school student. So I can only gets the same thing. I might be the greatest entrepreneur. But if I go to the Bank for a business loan, and I don't present them with something well in my track history, might my track record hasn't been that good. And he'll give me money. It's the same thing with the father, shouldn't it be shortest. If your kid is interested in pursuing an education, even if even if you have your doubts that they can succeed you should look at him. I would look at him and I would go try see a fantastic opportunity for you to better yourself. We can revisit this issue later on, but you need to go to a local college. You need to make a better investment in yourself before I invest in Ackley. Yeah. That's what I would say my son came to me, and he was he had Notre Dame grades but didn't get into Notre Dame. And I had the wherewithal put down in whatever thousands of dollars. Yeah. I would put it down, what the hell that's different than, than having a child, who is on social media flaunting. The fact that they do no work, but they somehow got into USC and that's the reason once I got into USC was because they broke the law and paid it off. But I will also say this, it's fine not being a great high school soon. The smartest people, I know weren't good high school, students, most people that end up being smart as adults and as professionals develop later, kind of just like athletes, kinda just like athletes. It's interesting other muscles, so it's fine. But I'm saying is, there's value. All of those people had to take their own path to get to that breakthrough of being smart out in the world what they needed to improve on students as learners and you can't get there. If your parents are just buying your shortcuts. That's true. See I, I would agree with that, but I can't look back on it now. And say my dad was wasn't encumbrance to me, because I can't say back then that I was worth that investment. I wasn't worth that investment back then. So now if I was worth vestments was, oh, I think it is true. You just said. The people change people change them much different person right now at thirty two almost thirty three than what I was seventeen going on eighteen getting ready for college. So if I'm a different person then, and obviously, my priorities have changed one, a lot more than so I don't even think it's fair and equitable and I don't know if I can blame my father if my father said, okay, put more money into you. If you took your studies a little bit more seriously. I really look back with honesty and say, I wouldn't blame the old man for that. I really wouldn't blame Ken senior for that because I was goof-ball it an idiot, nice school. I don't blame him at all. I just think that it's kinda hard to say, well, it wasn't worth the investment when you turned out to be you clearly will stock in eighteen year old Ken Carman, you'd be doing pretty pretty well right now. It would have taken a minute for that stock to mature though, as it always does. And there are plenty of people who get rich on great stocks, and then there's plenty of people who wished they would have gotten in on the ground floor things that they had the opportunity on. And they didn't what are you gonna do? You're winning you lose. We're talking investments here with people. And I would look at it as a father the same way. Any business would look at me as an entrepreneur, if I wanted to open up a series of drive-thrus around northeast Ohio, and I didn't have the proper business model, I expect to be shut down by every Bank around here. And I would expect to be shut down by the old man. You're at is that good. That's fair. There you go. Tom just kids way into schools that they don't you know. I'm not going to be like, I'm not going to be like big Tom Callahan over here. All right. He's not gonna go to Marquette being Tom Kellyanne. God. No Brian down. He's still alive, so God rest little tiny soul. Eight five five two one two four CBS five two and two four two two seven coming up in a bit. "Like, I feel like parents. They do whatever they can. Right. So like their kids can like get ahead. Right. Okay. Okay. And like you saw this thing with Felicity Huffman and that shit where like they're paying a. Charitable donations quote unquote for their kids like into like these procedures schools. Yes, she was paying money. This is against the law. Yes. This is fraud by the FBI stepped in. Yeah. This is a federal fence shoot paying for your kids to get into Ivy league schools. Now, do you think that it should be allowed? If someone saying willing to be like, hey, listen, your tuition is X amount. I'm willing to pay Zia mount, right? And is double X. Do you think that that should be allowed? As two people that did not go to college, right? Yes. I don't I want to say, I don't give a shit, right? But I also get it for someone who's like I studied my whole life to get into Duke. And now this guy just paid his way into Duke. Yeah, I get it. But I also feel like, you know, anywhere else in the world. That's the case you could pay your way into anything. I even figure it's the same thing here, though, what you could pay you can pay your way to get into anything here. I'm saying anywhere in the world anything if someone has more money than you. They'll just pay to be ahead of you like they were paying like coaches and shit for like their kids like beyond teams to like. Now, that's fucked up. Now, you're taking like scholarships away from kids. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like, just so you could be on the fucking. They've on one of them's like the rowing team and his team. Did you say it was like a sailing team sailing team? The fuck is that? I don't know. I didn't even know colleges had sailing team had no idea either. How do you? How do you competitively sail? I have you. You're racing boats. Yeah. How does that? Milton pokes faster to listen. I'll give you fifteen thousand dollars right now fuel Jeremy.

You know, like I talked to the graduates or the podcast is big enough where we both do and get some honorary doctorate degree want that I want to be called Dr Patterson and never going to one single medical class in my entire life. Nothing. I've never cut cut open a cadaver or anything like that. Like, I wanna be called doctor on a regular basis and then demand to do it. 'cause you know, that's what Bill Cosby. Oh, yeah. He made everybody calm Dr Bill. Cosby? And it was just like fuck you do a lot of other things too that they didn't want to do now. Listen. Yeah. The other thing about Ampex that makes it the problem is her daughter that she got in is such a little dumdum idiot asshole. So hot though, great. So just be a little dumdum haughty. Yeah. Why do you need to go to Yale? No, she was going to USC and the other thing. I don't I don't get about. That is why are you going to school and counting? Yeah. Why are you bribing your kids to get into school like Yale and Harvard on that shit? I underst-. Stand. Right cool. Congratulations USC fuck that book that you. Harvard accused of profiting from pre-Civil War slave photos
"And a lawsuit filed today accuses Harvard University of shamelessly turning a profit from photos of African American slaves. A woman from Canetti. Equate is suing the Ivy league school for wrongful seizure possession and more of these images that depict two of her ancestors. Going back to the nineteenth century, the photos were taken in South Carolina and thought to be some of the earliest known photos of American slaves. "Felicity Huffman and Laurie Lachlan. Apparently deleted all their social media. But it was a little too late people were going through their social media accounts, and and trying to pull videos, and and things from the past and things they may have said on social media in one of the things that I saw today. Lori Laughlin Lachlan bragging that you know, they didn't want to be the parents that forced their kids to get straight as that. You know, they were a lenient on the grades like like, they were the cool mom and dad, and then they still got into USC amazingly enough. In that. Then obviously backfired on them. And then there is the the story of the there's a woman that is suing. And this came out last week is this the five hundred million five hundred billion billion. So that's that's a it's too bad as five hundred billion because that kind of when you see a number like that you just think. Well, that's ridiculous. She's never gonna win that. But she claims has got to be five hundred billion because she feels like she is suing them because they have affected a million kids out there million possible students. So that's why she threw a big number out there. She lives in Oakland. She's a teacher her kids. She said has a four point two GPA, and it wasn't enough for admissions officers. She didn't say which colleges he applied to. But she just said he couldn't get in. I'm I'm guessing it was these elite schools. Yeah. I get the outrage. I mean, I think and I think it's justified, and I think it's genuine you ain't gonna get five hundred billion dollars. I don't know what you're going to get. But I get it. You get the outrage I get it. You realize how hard it is to get into school. And how hard some kids work in the in the child like hers who had a four point two that gets denied for whatever the reason to go to whatever school that he or she wanted to go. I get that. I I don't I mean, usually when there's a problem, right? You say, okay. We understand the problem. We all agree. There's a problem. What's the solution instead of sitting here talking like they do in politics all the time over and over and over about the pro, but nobody seemingly has a solution. I would say in this case what's the solution? What's the endgame here? Quite honestly written, Cathy. I I don't know. Apparently there there's some loopholes like this that have been discovered now where people can slip through the cracks one of them is through sports, you know, where you can pose as a as a fake athlete pretty easily on crew. Team and volleyball or water polo, whatever the sports that don't get a lot of attention. So that was one way in for people tennis team. And then the other is the testing process the SAT test where these proctors are apparently they're vulnerable for bribes. Because some of them took some of them took the money, and they're changing test scores in the case of Felicity Huffman daughter, they changed her score by four hundred points. So this guy went in and took her. She took the test. He went into corrected her test to boost it up four hundred points. And that's a lot that he he get paid. How much they didn't say how much you got paid. But they did catch him. They catch. They caught a couple of proctors. Yeah. I I would say there's got to be, you know, there's got to be mechanisms in place that would prevent for the most part that kind of behavior. Right. I mean that one's going to be more than one person grading tests. Well, but you'd have to be really well schemed to know that that's the Proctor you're gonna get for that test. So she flew out of state to take it. Right. They picked this one guy. Guy. I think I think you have to say when I read some Mr. singers or whatever his name is Steph. It said that you had to say that your kid had a disorder or disability. And that you need to take it out of specific Mace. And then they hired though, they paid those practice. Nineteen. That's how they got away with that. But that's really scheming. You're going to get this. This woman that's suing. She said she's outraged and hurt because I feel that my son. My only child was denied access to a college not because he failed to work and study hard enough. But because wealthy individuals felt that it was okay to lie cheat steal and bribe their kids way into a good college. And that's the truth. It did happen that way. It doesn't say what schools her kid apply to or where he ended up going. If even went to school, but with a four point two to prove that that he didn't get into those schools and give his grades, and what's your idea? She's going to have to prove how how many kids in fact had that have that because you know, GPA now is like a five point. Oh, and that's what you mean. A GPA like the highest GPA. Because you sound like a good GPA is a four point five of the best GPA's a five point out. That's a straight a student who has eight p class, and that's got to be pretty rare. I don't know. I think a lot of these school Ivy league schools. That's what they look for. If she's looking at Ivy league schools, they could say that they could easily prove a wrong is that her hus- done. Navy Ivy league school and David did you know Lynn Swann's, the ethnic director USATF's? Yeah. And he came out over the weekend and said he was blindsided by this. He had no idea that this was going on. I tend to believe him. Yeah. Because it's a big athletic department. And see, that's the crack. That's how you can slip through like is. He really checking out all the crew. Probably doesn't care anything about football more than anything. Right. Just checking that out. Yeah. Track probably at USC as well. As a crew. Okay. This guy got a inch. He's in charge a crew. I'll let him deal with it. Dementia with their budget looks like at USC for his department. Yeah. And how many do you think they have UC of it? They have five or six associate p people in charge of different areas of the ethnic department overall. But I mean, honestly, I wouldn't expect this one to have been aware of this, nor nor do I think we can hold them accountable because evidently wasn't I'm with you there. But certainly embarrassing the university and the school everybody at the top of this of the food chain at USC gotta be embarrassed that this happened. And they they seem to be the one university. That is very prominently featured in the scam. Where they were very susceptible to this type of fraud. And we'll see what they do with with people like Lori Lachlan, and Felicity Huffman will they put him jail. Well, these guys do jail time and fraud men's crew is on the club list at USC. So it'd be easy to sure. Yeah. I know you think would've do they actually recruit guys club the whole idea of club per se is you recruit wants the student becomes a student. I don't see the women's crew. So they must not be club. They must be actual. But you can do what men's water polo? You don't Dave would look great in a water polo. What are they wear? They were they were those little goggles. And then one of those swim caps speed saying, you would be too bad. You didn't play water polo level water polo all along they wear those little Speedo. They don't have your size. Dave. Probably not. Traffic out here..
Hallmark Cuts Ties With Lori Loughlin Amid College Scandal
"Somebody who's not worried about celebrating on Saint Patrick's Day to be Lori Loughlin who is just taking it. I mean, just really getting. Hammered as it should be because of these alleged bribes to get her two daughters into USC saying that they were on crew, and they weren't especially when USC has a seven percent admission rate. I mean, it's so low, and you've got students that are filing class action suits at Stanford. You've got all kinds of things that are happening across the country. The outrage over this college bribes stuff, and I'll tell you. I mean, it's not going away. I think it's only gonna get worse for some of the people that were involved in this. And certainly she was she was one of them, and she was on full house. And then she was also in a lot of the hallmark shows. So the hallmark people decided, that's it. They're dumping her. So she gets dumped for anything. To hallmark and she was released on one million dollar bond in this bribery scam. So it's basically the end of the line. They're calling it that she committed career suicide with a college admissions scandal because she's got that vanilla sweet Pretty Woman look where she was on a lot of those hallmark shows. It had to be some decent cash for her. You know, she had a couple of movie franchises the garage sale mystery when calls the heart excetera, and that's it. They're just casting her side because they don't want to be tied to this in in any way. And of course. After the success of this full house on ABC running for eight years until ninety five that's pretty big because then she was able to pick up some of these other cameo appearances and jump onto this other channel excetera, but that's it. So so she's out she made like fifteen movies, at least for hallmark. And then her daughter who was at USC using her dorm room, cutting these videos talking about how to wear makeup Sephora dumped her because Sephora was sponsoring her as an influence her. And of course, the daughters in the end drop out of USC after this admission scandal because how could they possibly continue to stay there and take some of the harassment. They would get I'm sure from some of the people who are furious about what's happened there. So there's. Lawsuits. There's blowback there's plenty of coaches who have lost their jobs in the middle of all this. There's going to be more charges excetera and. What happened was because somebody's talking to me about this. This is the buzz in your backyard and mind everybody's talking about this. How did this come down? I mean, what who tipped off the feds to this? And I guess what happened was there was a there was a guy who wanted leniency from the feds course to get reduced sentence. Whatever or not have any kind of a sentence. And he's the one who really tipped the scales in this. And it is this Los Angeles financial guy Maury Tobin who turned in a big tip that led to this whole thing blowing up and all the dominoes falling. You know? He was a Yale grad, and he told investigators that. Rudolf Meredith the head women's soccer coach at the Ivy league school solicited four hundred and fifty thousand from him in exchange for recommending Tobin's daughter for mission as an athletic recruit. So he agreed to wear a wire during a meeting in a Boston hotel room with narrative who also started cooperating that then led them to the mastermind this guy Rick singer. We have talked about for a couple of days. He is the California college prep expert who raked in two thousand five mil from the wealthy parents to get their kids who were underqualified into those top schools, and that included yell that I just mentioned Wake Forest, Georgetown and Stanford and get the name of this operation varsity blues and the scam went back to two thousand and eleven so it was a ten month investigation. Allegedly a lot of crooked ACT SAT proctors college, athletic coaches, and parents, and we're seeing now how this whole thing has collapsed and the side door has closed on a few hands right now. That's for sure and who does jail time, and what ends up happening there were far cry away from that. But there's gonna be a lot of lawsuits that are going to have to be dealt with USC. Already said in their new recruiting class. They've already dumped six out thinking that they're part of this whole deal as well. So there are cleaning house as rapidly as they can and all the other schools are doing this. And they don't want to end up like Stanford. But they're going to end up. I'm sure there's going to be all a lot of lawsuits around this because the to Stanford students they're suing the university of southern California, Yale University of California, Los Angeles, and some others over a massive cheating case that involved these affluent

I don't think I'm missing out on too much. Well, that's what you say. But the point that I am making is if you wanna have your child's name on the on the yearbook the USC or another prestigious school would be Stanford Duke Harvard, Yale places like this. Myeloma mater, which I guess Fresno state. You're kidding, right? Anyone can get into freedom this date. We're talking about not anyone can get into Fresno state. Most anyone can get into Fresno state. Let's have this argument you talking about these really high these real prestigious schools, that's what I'm afraid of the bad. School francis. Taped. By the way, is the home of Henry Ellard, Philip favorite LA Rams, the wide receiver. That's right. It was. And I that feel. I'm kidding around. But I just I need to get this. And what about quotas? Well, we don't have quotas anymore. But what about affirmative action whether for the wealthier for others. Well, you're not allowed to talk about that. There's all kinds of things that go on in these colleges and universities that simply aren't kosher. For the way, they spend money.
