"David Bowie once asked the question. answer may be, and if so, it's likely underwater. A network of salty ponds. Maybe gurgling beneath Mars is South Pole alongside a large underground lake, raising the prospect of tiny swimming Martian life. Italian scientists are reporting this two years after identifying what they believed to be a large buried lake mile under the surface 12 miles long, they're getting more data from a radar sounder on the European Space Agency's Mars Express Orbiter. Apple removes Fortnite from app stores

"The APP store. It's if not the most important game in the world. Certainly one of them has protocols. David Pierce, he says. Apple's ban on fortnight came after developer at the game's changed its payment system so that it bypassed apples 30% fee on in APP purchases so epic puts out this update Apple pretty much immediately. Kicks fortnight out of the APP store, saying, you've broken our rule. It is. I mean, it is the simplest possible rule to break and they broke it. Epic clearly saw this coming and immediately files. A lawsuit against Apple here says it comes as Apple faces increased scrutiny over how it treats developers and the APP store. But it's tough to say who will come out on top, either. Someone is just going to Givin, which seems unlikely, or we're gonna have some kind of big regulation fight with Tech trends. Chuck's Iverson

Dallas Fuel is Making Changes

"Have had a shakeup in one of the premier teams and when I say premier teams I mean. Fan Base Wise. A lot of lot of people have been asking and looking at this for I, would say since the beginning of overwatch leak and that's The Dallas fuel have officially I think have turned the page and already to look forward to to changing things. Just in the matter of one week, they have dropped their head coach will all go order first off, they dropped a k. to came on the team for the most part. A lot of people thought he was going to be a starter. Really. Kinda he was more of a bench player when it turned out a lot of people upset saying you're wasting his talent. Blah Blah Blah. We'll came out this week. The heaters straight up stopped practicing. He didn't want to work with the team anymore. So micra fell now the C. G. O. Chief Gaming Officer operator whatever the acronym was I forget which is basically a fancy way of saying he's the top GM. Like he is now like, yes, they have a GM of the team in Tasma Oh book. I don't get it to us now. MICRA. Is He's the puppet master of the teams now under the NBA umbrella k. including empire and things like that. He's going to have the final say. So yeah for sure like he's he's going to be the top dog when it comes to making any roster decisions across all of these sports I feel like an through him ultimately, right? Right. So you have that okay, and a lot of people are upset about it. I you know. I get the frustration behind the fuel fans I get it because you came into the Overwatch League season one with you and soul dynasty were touted to be number one like. Know it was going to be one of you. We're going to be the champions of course envy was coming in with fuel use the envy roster plus a couple additional players that were only supposed to make it better. Right. They added Siegel they added ex- qc like how on Earth could it get any worse with them? Obviously, that didn't work out. So the expectations for the fuel have always been high like even though they've been one of the worst teams in the league since it started like even going into season two because they ended season one on a high note. So season to this, is it the fuel are going to change? nope not so much and it's pretty been a rinse and repeat in season three. So. When you have a player especially one that's like kind of a billboard material player saying he's refusing to practice I would have to death wish you like your are tied at that point. Yeah. You're out like there is no and if I was an owner, right if I was GM, there's like no negotiating with that, right I'm not going to be like, Oh, you don't want to practice to K-. What if we make a starting player? Then would you play pretty please which would you practice then like? You. Asked him be cut like there's not a whole lot you're going to do to convince that type of player. He's not decay is not Alan Iverson right? Like you're not that. Good. So if you were maybe the superstar of the team and you were doing everything will then hey, maybe they'll find a way to make this work not that not practicing is okay but they'll be more willing to resolve whatever the issue is. Manure. Semi contributing at this point in your a nuisance to the team, we're bringing down morale whatever it may be ultimately. That's easy decision to make. Yeah. So there's that and everyone was super pissed about it. Saying you got the you know the players aren't the problem stop stop blaming the players and although I agree to a certain extent then all of a sudden the news drop that dropped Eyraud head coach of the team. Now to me in my opinion longtime coming long-term coming, I've even mentioned it on the show that. The, the fuel were just not creative enough in a game that demands creativity you if you are following the Meta if you're just doing the cookie cutter with the top teams are doing and you're not a top team, you're not gonna all of a sudden beat them at their own game. You have to find a way to be creative and for whatever reason. The fuel just never were they made notoriously horrible in game adjustments in between map adjustments everything like that from the get-go and that was with Jane on the team right I thought it was worse with Jane when he was the assistant coach an Arrow. Look. We've met them. We know him he's a good to there's no doubt about it that he I think the players want to play for him but that doesn't defeat the fact that they weren't playing like they just bought performing and eventually the coach has to fall on that sword and Arrow just avoided that I think a little too long. They found no consistency in any way the season's right in season wind it was a a late run to a meaningless like fourth quarter Ryan. You know when you're already down by twenty one at that point there just wasn't enough there to to redeem that kind of the season one was just a shit show in general for them right from where it was supposed to be you know even last year I it just never really you know we talked about in doing changes making changes in between maps. That's something that you always kind of harped on that they did do enough right new expect you played the fuel like this is what you were going to get. In now, to see him this year, they're sitting, you know thirteen th the towards the bottom of the standings. It was a matter of time like at some point. You gotta just get a fresh look like look Arrow did really good. Would you coaching the World Cup team but he also had the five players in the world right arguello woke up team like showing up for him To, like save his job unfortunately.

"What do you think the pairing of cannon bellichik means Greg like what is what is bill? Belichick mean for Cam. Newton decent. It's going be interesting. I think you know from talking to guys that have played New England I think that the public persona of of of bill is is one thing, and and I'm sure there's there's truth to some of that, but I think behind closed doors. He understands what each of his players individually needs the support. They need the space. They might meet at times to bring out their best and if you look across. Bell Checks coaching career. He's coached a lot of different styles, players and one thing. He's GonNa. Learn about CAM is. No one wants to win more than in nobody's GonNa, come every day in practice harder and train harder and prepare better so at the things that Cam does so well. Are Pretty much that whole patriot. Way of everything is out winning. Everything's about doing cans going to check all those boxes I. Don't think they're going to have any issues in that front. You know you're gonNA address different after the game than some of the other quarterbacks induce of course, cameras own person, but never at any moment does it ever take away from his willingness in his preparation to go out there win first and foremost and I think that would resonate with all coaches around the league. You not just in England. Now class rarely that perspective and Greg Listen I know you had a great quarterback? Integrate coach Rivera there and Carolina, but now heading out west to Seattle. You have another one Russell Wilson Pete Carroll one of the best coaches. Tell me how excited you are about this new opportunity. When Carolina let me go. We weren't sure at my age. You know what the market was gonNA look like and what teams would be interested in. You know the one thing that I knew I wanted to go somewhere where I had a chance to compete ahead a chance to continue to play with the top level quarterback and Fortunate to have teams across the League that showed interest, but when it came down to Seattle a team that I had seen up close and personal in playoff games in regular season games throughout the year it was, it was just too good of an opportunity, and obviously Russell and coach. Carroll and those are with. Ruben Elise caliber. Players, coaches in this league so just to have a chance to join the off or If it's. CYSTIC. Out A lot those thing. With me over a lot of the same politics type tried to build my career on individually. So I just saw a lot of parallels between myself, and the organization runs, and Russ was a big part of it. Coach Karaoke big part of it. It was. Just too good of an opportunity to. What about the division your in Greg? When you look at the NFC west, the last two representatives of the to play in the Super Bowl come out of your division now and then you look at Arizona and they look like they could be a breakout team this year. What about the NFC West itself? Yeah I only picked tough. Tough divisions when when I was in Carolina. Brutal are. We at four top to your quarterbacks. Each team score forty point Sonya. I only know this one's a little different is a little more maybe a defensive type based division of over the years, obviously San Francisco team that we played last year when I was in Carolina and they gave us pretty good, so if they're as talented, they're young, they're. They're really dynamic, especially offensive front, it's a it's a challenging vision. You've got good quarterbacks got good. You got good defenses as you mentioned Arizona Column early last year came in and kind of gave them a little shot in the arm of energy and. They got some young pieces that they've added that. They're going to continue to compete. They've made some big trades in the off season to improve their offensive skills, so it's I. I don't know why there's something about these tough divisions that I just love joining giving myself six tough games every year to start, but that's That's the way it goes, but Seattle has shown that. You know you're in. You're always going to compete in for the playoffs. compete in division. That's what I wanted to be a part of. Brig to that point when you look around making that decision on teams also. Obviously. Decay Metcalf, who I think can turn into to something special. How much of that offensive skill did you pay attention to? Of Russ in making that decision to possibly make the job of the tidy, and not only easier, but more more integral part offense like you've been in Carolina for so long. I think that's a great point. I had the chance to work out with decay a few times and My years of playing in this league I've seen I've seen receivers of all shapes and sizes speed skill sets. I've never seen a guy that physically impressive and. That might. And you know we also the pictures during the combine with his shirt off, and we saw the pictures of him training. It's one thing to kind of see it from afar, but to be on the field and watch him run and just watch. How explosive is and watch him attack the ball. I've never seen anyone physically. Look like him and how he developed over these next couple of years is gonNA. Be Really Fun to watch I'm glad that I'll be here for at least this year. If not more hopefully, be a part of that development, watch it up close and personal, but he is unique. He is A. Use that phrase was not a lot of guys like him. There's zero guys slack you. It's really. It's really impressive and I think he's going to. Continue to develop and put these physical tools and just develop as a young wide receiver into the he's I. think he has a chance to be one of the best in the league. Wow that that's huge praise especially coming from you and and someone who knows the often so well Greg Lemme. Ask you this quickly before we go to break. Obviously all of us now more than ever are really looking for content to consume, and you decided to start a podcast. What was your intention behind doing that? Is You look around the NFL, and and really for the first time in the last couple of years there are superstar caliber players, playing the tight end position, and even though we've had great players over the years. You know a decade Shannon Sharpe plan back in the nineties it for the first time George. kiddle and Travis Kelsey in Gronk. We have superstar national type players playing the tight end position and we said we'll. How did Did it get this way. We went, so we said let's let's tell this story. Let's tell the story of the evolution to today's modern tight end through the words of the best players we Mike Ditka. WHO STARTS US off with our first episode? I think people are gonNA. Really enjoy the insight and perspective from Hall of fame. Some of the best way to gain. "Take over the game at any time. It's not true. James Harden has not been able to take over when it matters most, and that's my one criticism. I think that's the only fair criticism of heart. He is not this now. Has He gotten better better in the playoffs? Do I see him trending in the right direction where he could become a? A champion. Yes, I do every year I see a little improvement from in the playoffs on the defensive end, even on the offensive yet, but but the fact of the matter is guys. We saw lots of NFL players over the weekend pretty fired up about the lack of safety protocols. I know the NFL and NFL. PA have met since. But overall. How would you grade the NFL's handling of the return of the season? You know I think a lot still to be decided I. think will see how these next couple of weeks I think these next couple weeks or critical I think how they handle the initial transition to getting guys back in the building. I think we've all kind of seen the same report to be interesting to see exactly how that's kind of whittled down in finalized, but if If they can handle the transition of getting nice from all across the country for the last four or five Munster in the pandemic now into the building safely and kind of ease that process in I think after a couple of weeks of just guys getting into that routine of testing and tracing and understanding distancing within the confines of a practice in the confines of meeting rooms. I think once we get going I think things will get a little easier I think. It's going to be a little tricky. Getting guys back in I think we're GONNA. have positive tests. I think everyone just can't have their heads popoff when that happens. So. I think we can get through these next few weeks. Getting guys back together for you know quote. Unquote Training Camp I. "My is coming. From our coverage state farm dot com. Everything that I won't do right now. Is what you went through just version you know what I'm saying. A criticism, negative energy negatively. Why's why's he do this? Why does he do that? Like nobody understands and I'm cool with that. I'm not here to explain. Myself were trying to get people to understand. Why would I do or why do? Killer work my saw. A young figured out maybe when it's number. Tire her. Not Understanding it ketchups. Really interesting sound there that was James Harden sitting down opening up with the Hall of Famer Alan Iverson Perk back here with us Max. I'll start with you. What did you think of hardens comparison of himself to a? Well I. Think because he's talking to a he's. He's identified with them. And there are things to identify with a about if you're James. Harden, first of all Alan Iverson and case, the kids don't know had multiple seasons as a six foot tall. Do this just doesn't happen multiple seasons without shooting at three at least not shooting it well even. Those that. Thirty plus points where he believed the league and also league in steals to three two, and a half steals again of. Again without hitting three with much success, he was if if I was six foot, six would have been the greatest player who ever lived. He was physically at. Dominant, that's not harden, and really though harden is not the ironic thing is there is someone hardens team? Who's very good comparison with Iverson and that's Westbrook. They're similar in a lot of ways, also three well enough, and is also athletically different, and like Iverson goes goes goes, but there are lots of differences between harden and Westbrook percival, if people criticize hardened for. For anything, other than not being clutch that's messed up because he doesn't choose to not be clutch just hasn't been so far shrugged from the moment or at least hasn't succeeded in the playoffs like he does in the regular season, but he's not a selfish player Horton does whatever his team needs for him to do to be successful and he always has. He's gotten much better defensively if his team needs to score, he does it set up. And also heart, and has a good relationship or is pleased away. His coach wants to play Iverson. Larry Brown Usta us to clash, but harden dantonio harden his Dantonio news out on the floor, so in those fundamental differences like I disagree with him, and it's ironic because Westbrook's on his team. There's much better comparison there. An Stephen A. Brings up the fact that that Iverson had the right pieces around him, even though there were no other stars on the team to at least be able to drag his team to the finals and hardened hasn't exactly although. Although I would add hardens been on much better teams than I ever was, and I was able to drag that team. Maybe you could argue the worst team ever one of them to the finals, and actually be the only team that took a game from the Lakers that entire playoffs behind a is effort, so so I would say that while the comparison is apt in certain respects in other respects, really Mrs Iverson was a leader under pressure that harden has not yet been, and harden has a different more well rounded overall game than Iverson did. What would make? Up. To get to. To? His Day Max two different styles of play I agree, but both of them are killers I was a killer. Yes, we all know that but James Harden is a killer. Mac Saves. Horn is arguably he could be in. The conversation is arguably one of the greatest scores of all time makes you have to put some respect on his man name. We talking about a guy that has four fifty point triple doubles. One sixty point triple doubles is nothing that James Harden can do and I. Don't say this about a lot of people, but tapes could go out and get A. Six. How can you say that address dropping easy sixty ball or somebody? But on top of that you can move James Hood when he got when I'm looking at him at home city thunder, he was a sixth man under Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant who will lead players, and he was coming in off the bench, dropping forty pieces I was on their team won six man of the year the day he still foot into. Into Houston Texas. He has took this franchise by storm averaging over twenty five points, a game, averaging about eight, six, seven and eight assists eight seven to eight rebounds, and when they move them to the point when Dantonio became the Cote, he ever eleven sees he ever twenty eight points, eleven assists and eight rebounds, so I'm looking at the guy who's been leading the league. The last three years in scorn thirty points thirty thirty. Thirty five thirty six points, and now he's averaging thirty four points Max that is a killer, and by the way he changed the game. The revs call the gay differently because the James Hard. Be both the made great points. Here's here's the thing man like. This of this of the era I was supported and was able to see I think the problem that people have obviously when you compare yourself to AA I or any other names with idea is a fight with. Somebody says he's better MJ or he's like MJ is in that category by itself, so I think a lot of people just take offense to the whole idea that anybody would compare themselves to Alan, Iverson because we have a I, it's. It's such a high regard and not only the basketball player, but a added challenge, the status quo in the NBA so a lot of those things has a lot to do with the fact that some people may sit there and watch James Harden and talk about his comparison where I am. Be Be cringe. Worthy cause is one of those guys. We put on a pedestal because of what he did. And we say now that's untouchable and we don't. Don't see another one like that, not only timing matching up with the fact that I was a cat that was going to do him and do the things that he wanted to do, but also due to a level in which you really couldn't criticise until you found some kind of kink in this summer now with that being said offensively I think they are very compared compared comparable when you look at their ability to take over a game at. At any moment, not not from a standpoint of this what I have to do because of my team is behind to perks point because better than everybody out here because I have more of a handle on this part of the game than anybody. That's playing the game right now. I can do more creative themes on this side of the other court than anybody can do. That's been James Harden listed. There is not a conversation that that have. In the NBA right now. Offensively where James, Harden sippy of sitting, be a part of it over not having a legit on his conversation. That's just like when a I was. Put his time in in the NBA. If you're going to talk about offensive prowess in guys that can do things that was special that set them apart and hours in that conversation. Then it's not a conversation so i. get the comparison from there I. Just think it falls all differ ears when we think about who analysts everything about the status to NBA, and also was a killer and James Harden in today's NBA when that way has kind of been paid for 'em already. Look. Here's what problem with what both you just said. Mark said they could both.

Fed buys more corporate bonds

"The Federal Reserve said Friday that it purchased $1.3 billion in corporate bonds in late June as part of its effort to keep U. S interest rates low and ensure large companies Khun borrowed by selling bonds. We fed bought bonds issued by several 100 large companies, including AT and T, Pepsico and Berkshire Hathaway, controlled by billionaire Warren Buffett. Combined with purchases from earlier in the month, the Fed has bought nearly 1.8 billion in corporate debt. If bond interest spiked, it would make it harder for companies to borrow by selling debt. "The kingside. But it's not lamb homosexual. It's not same thing there another not together now. Sometimes they bleed together right they might be might be sexually de next one. Here's what I get a lot of these. I know the answers to get your input here. And plus it's it's I mean I've had these conversations Gotcha. Gay People can stop being gay time. They want America America and let me say Walmart. Stop being gay in Walmart. You're fine you stop at the stop being idea behind that man me uncomfortable if I was like like it was and it sounds bad. Like in retrospect who I am today but if I could have taken are stopped being gay when I was a fucking awkward twelve year old. And been like Oh. I'm just not going to do that anymore. You know I mean who wouldn't it doesn't make it. You know what I mean if you could. Have you decide not to be the fat kid anymore? If you decide not to be the Jewish kid or whatever. The case is a million scenarios. You were take the easy route but because you there wasn't an option you take the hard road and become a stronger person for it But yeah I mean. In retrospect I would say yeah fuck be straight if that was an option. I mean but now as I'm very proud of ym but it didn't come easily. So I mean if it was an option to take that easy road. Yeah you earned your stripes. Yes with multi stripes. Well some of them are Brown stripes. Summer skids not strike. Let's bleed together. We've got a flag of skids.

"Very common in the the male gay community I specify male because lesbians are much different Lesbians move in together after a week. Usually it's common stirs nets But Gay men are very like they. Can they have a men's man's mentality Kind of in a way where it's like we can be in a committed relationship and be together but when I wanna get you know I want my separate space and I want my own whatever I want. You know that's called an open relationship Bazeley. How Open. You keep. It is up to people. Is that across the board or are there some? Hey this is my. This is who I'm with. A lot of guys that are very committed and very exclusive relationships is a code to like. Let them know like Like no this kind of I mean there is codes for other things reminds me go ahead finish. Finish your question about the only thing would be. I mean really. It'd be like anything else you'd be sitting at a bar and a guy was to approach you and be like. I'm sorry I have a partner. Okay I mean it'd be like the same idea in in in the days are are they fair respectful of that or normally may have some guy if some if someone's talking to you at a bar and they're trying to flirt and whatever And you say I have a partner. I mean they're GONNA go they're gonNA take it a little bit further than some. Maybe maybe Straight Cup people would because there is the possibility of being open. You know what I mean. So they'd be like. Oh so what's this you know? What's the status and they'd be like? Oh It's were exclusive and then then you'd go away a question about the maybe I've asked you outside of the podcast. I might've ashes before because it's been kind of a something's been bothering me for a long time. I'm going to serve the situation right until you hear what I'm GonNa tell you what I've heard in if you can set it set me straight. I had an experience where this guy who is straight to the best of my knowledge He we we whenever we would run into each other for a while he would when he shook my hand like his index finger would touch the inside of my wrist really creepy right okay and that was weird to me and then. I had heard somewhere that there. Is this gay handshake like that. You can let each other know like hey I'm a you know but not really be over. Is there such a thing? I would doubt it? It's like the underground railroad. There a laminate you can pass out that I can put my wallet for Future Reference. Like rivers when my self esteem is low and I WANNA get hit on a gay bars. They're like a gay handshake pamphlet out there. Someone Google gay handshake code coated handshake or something. Just weird thing where they touch you to palm. But that's just like a weird like let me show like miss your hand okay. This is kind of what it was. It was like that. That's old English. That's what they do to like. Scratch the no. I don't I.

"Meet me. I know all right. We're back here. We got Our Professional Gay Man Mad Iverson. We've we've got Mike Lester we've got Tony. We're talking about gay stuff. This is actually the second gay themed episode that we've ever done on filter for America. I don't remember the episode number but it was Last year we did when we had to get people on. We had a gay man and a female Came on and we kind of get their point of view on on on gay life and whatever and specifically where we were talking about Gay Marriage for Minnesota and for the nation and where was going and incense that episode Gay Marriage is now legal. Yes here and Minnesota now so I guess here's a question for you. Can YOU DESCRIBE How getting a legal right that. Many non gay people obviously take for granted makes you feel Well for me like it's I'm kind of the wrong person asked 'cause like I don't like the traditional marriage to begin with a stupid like not for some people they want to do it. That's awesome but I just. I'm kind of in the one of those ideas where I don't need to follow these steps to commit to somebody income and I agree with that I'm the I'm the same way like I love my girlfriend. I don't you know like I think it was. Maybe the Bill Hicks Joke. I'm here with accommodated like about marriage being part of something. The government's involved in like yeah. Let's bring some government in with our marriage. I remember the comic. But it's a funny bit but just the fact now that you have that ability to get that there's got to be so. Can you describe maybe the mentality of how it made you feel to be not have that at all right? You couldn't do what I could do. I think it was mostly because for me it was It was almost like you almost like defiant thing. I guess from my part because I didn't want to get married to vote no thing my car and I still did a lot of Petitioning shouldn't like whatever Because I think if anybody says like it's almost on the idea of like you can't do this and I'm like fuck. Yeah I can Amona you know what I mean like. It's almost just like in my opinion. Almost defiant for me but a lot of people are genuinely like in a loving relationship for long long long period of time and yeah for them not to have that. I mean the serious stuff you know like hospital visits house like either whatever taxes stuff like that is basically saying that the the Our Society doesn't recognize that partnership and I think that's the most important thing is with gay marriage. I'm not going to get married but it's important that our society says this is a real legitimate thing. It's not just some sexual deviance that hook up in a basement somewhere that do it. You know they're saying this is the relationship and they're real part of our society what What has been your longest relationship shea? I got I've made you know. Maybe maybe two months so you're not a long-term die. I'm kind of Hor shop around. Yeah I mean it's as I we were talking about earlier. You know I started at an early age and then I didn't have anything for about twenty years after that and then I just went at it again. Do you see that curving eventually. Eventually sitting down settling down with someone I mean. Do you want that May maybe eventually but I'm not at the point now where I an okay. And here's the thing too is in the gay community. It's very very common to have open relationships and I think that straight people willing were women. Were willing to do that. Straight men would love that low. Yeah I like to be like the. What's it called when the Polly poly-amorous Probably Volley Amorous? Because it's kind of like I mean a lot of the gay community deal with men anyone out with women but with men they have committed relationship they share the bills share house the share life together but then on Friday night they hook up and it doesn't mean anything it's not like oh you like better than me Blah Blah Blah. It's just sex. It's different than relationships to life. Yeah and ads for two men to be together and make that work. I think I don't know. In my opinion you'd almost have to be open on the on the marriage thing again real fast and Just get your kind of your point of view on things. A lot of the people who oppose gay marriage and a and the gay lifestyle in general they all a lot of them Used a religion is kind of the background of their of their reasoning. Why they oppose it Do you from your perspective on talking for every gay but do you. Do you believe that? Do you think that's really the thing or is it more to me? I think that you know I'm not a big religious person anyway but I think a lot of that is just masking some fears and some things in there. Whatever your take on that like I would. I had a conversation with somebody one time in that. Same kind of thing where they said. I feel sorry for you because you're center. You know whatever and I said you know what if you if you have your fucking homophobic and you hate me. Call me a fag it to my face. Don't use the Bible as a scapegoat. You know what I mean. I don't like you just say that. And that's and then we can go from there but if you say that I don't like you because this says I don't like you know because if you feel differently about it you would make an exception. As an an anti-gay marriage supporter ever tried to reason with you. On specifics of y you shouldn't be allowed to they ever tried to. It's always about the tradition of marriage and the tradition American family and the traditional what America stands for me in the traditional American family. That ends in divorce at the time that one then. And that's the hypocrisy of it is that you know we actually sell marriage is on TV To the highest bidder basically and. That's apparently this huge tradition that we hold so sacred and it's not allowed for hold you can get married in the mall of America can get married and get married and What Britney Spears what twenty? Eight hours yeah. I mean totally traditional. Has anyone ever tried to like turn you straight or anything like be aggressive with you about that or later tonight after the show if you don't kiss so my dad told me whispering near fingernails. He knew he was good. Man also has a Catholic priest ever tried to get with. Yeah yeah you know I was? I did go to a Catholic school But I never had the fun of that now. You know I was like I was a cute little blonde but We'll know It was run by nuns but I never had any of that crazy. Shit look like I had a very normal childhood You know outside of the eight year old asphalt as the external what I did was fuck but the world or our the surge aggressor matters normally when an eight year old acts out like that usually has been put into their head. They've seen been exposed to Dick Mouth when right in your mouth has happened or father. Someone's got into the kid oftentimes if someone just sees pornography you know. Where did that come from anything? Was there any sort of energy there? No I think I think I mean I come from a family of six kids in all different baby daddies. I think we're just horny. You know it's just like it's just I I mean he is at my. My Dad's family had he had seven kids on his on his side. And then my mom's five she had six kids and then before that my mom's family had nine kids and it's just like I mean I don't know I think I was. Just I just knew. I was very sexual. Very Young. Warning is in your linear. Yeah is it. I don't know some people very different. They don't feel they don't maybe it's even one of those. I don't know you don't WanNa get all weird about it but like maybe it's one of those things where that's how. I express any kind of feeling like expression like as as far as fear loneliness Anger I just use sex so I mean maybe I don't know we don't expect you to psychoanalyze right perspectives with sock. A little bit About discrimination and we touched on earlier when we're getting kind of like when you were coming out and you really didn't have a lot of adverse issues there as far as family and friends and things like that but now as an adult male This is my come around but you carry your gay well like you again until people really talk to you a know nothing about you. They really know that you're gay. Do Instance ever come up where people have nonni forgave? Have they treated you different? Is there have been any bullying any any aggression like that You know I you know I do. Consider myself really lucky. I've never had any of that. I've always had guys that are very Accepting of it because and they make you know they may kind of ignorant comments as far as like. Oh you act so normal or you know well. It's cool because you're just you know I guess you're not like the other ones or whatever all those kinds of things that I take it with a grain of salt because I'm like they're trying they're trying to be you know outreach and be like oh. I accept this. But they're just not saying the exact equivalent dude got plenty of black friends so I kind of like. Okay thank you you know take it whatever and then slowly if I become friends with those people I kinda educate them slowly as to what's appropriate because a lot of gay people are very very more. I mean I'm the least sensitive topic with what What are some some things that That's free people do or say that's offensive to you or things at the easiest one. I think of as gay as the Word Gay. That's gay you know that. Oh using okay do take that is no I. Don't people do Pretty evolved with this whole thing. You know being able to sit down like this and like you said some people would freak out over certain things trigger words. But you're very evolved to come and sit down at this so before comedy too because I mean being comic you kind of have I'll say have but you know certain things are a little more accepting our circles right that would have been non comedian circus. I would say the comics comics is way more so like. I said what I was doing before which was having medal same. I mean that was that it was kind of like okay..

"Whatever any of that shit they. They are really clinging to the gay community because gay people have a very disposable income. Because we don't have kids. Yeah we can fucking. We got money to cruise do shit and go across. There's gave you a Lotta money right. Yeah they're finding in Republicans I think are finally learned that because of the fact that with the gay marriage thing like Oh that's GonNa make a lot of money we we we can suck. Dick and make money off. Let's go so do you think like The commercialization the parades it's kind of it's kind of made the whole homosexuality thing lose a little bit of its Magic Kebbi Barclays in a sense. And you know and it's almost I don't know but I I have to kind of take it as it as it is is a good thing. I mean it helps it more than it hurts right. Right does my small annoyances but for the most part I in this day and age two thousand thirteen I can literally and I do go around all over the state and do my fucking Queer Act in literally talk about some not so like just really intense gaze shit and some really small towns and I've never been strung up by a tree so let's plus it's accepted. I've never had cigarettes per. There's nothing I've never had any of these bad experience. Night is young. Yeah there's never been a better time to be gay right. There hasn't no and there never will be. I mean it's always just going to get better. Hopefully we hope for the Holocaust right around the corner. Russia Russia. Have it's way right. Exactly you'll get fucking weird One of the question before we go to the first break Is there is there? A militant faction of HOMOSEXUALS DESERT LIKE. There's there's like gay there's black militants and there's other things deserve ones. That are a little more aggressively. You mean like a gay elitist or gay terrorists may be you know. I don't know it's hard to there is like there is a gay a really small part of the gay community that is very not welcoming to the rest of the world like they they take. That identity is very much. There's and they don't want anybody having it hang out with. Not that they don't or they just they don't they. DoN'T TRUST STRAIGHT PEOPLE. Gay separatists right like yeah they just they wanna live in their community and they want nothing to do with the rest of the world and straight people come to the gay bars. They don't I am up. And you know Welfare to the gay people say that like the gay nineties which is a huge gay club. Minneapolis and probably one of the bigger ones A lot of the gays don't like it anymore because it's become some become ever analysts rates. Just WanNa hang out in that I do in my in my comedy said I'd do a joke about it. Basically in the in the idea that straight people go there to like kind of view. Gay People in real life and like like gave workers leg right watching it and like wow. You know like they'd just kind of watch it but it's only unfortunately the only thing they were really watching the drugs the sex the trannies and the fuck in drag Queens. It's not it's not a real version of what the gay lifestyle is. Because you're only seeing a book and a bunch of drunk dudes in a bar trying to hook up right if I was to go to a local pub and want to see what straight people were like and you know I go to a local bar and like oh you guys. This is what straight people are like. You know. You're not going to get an accurate right Sunday. You know. What would you say? Is the most accurate venue in the twin cities. Like if you really want to get the most traditional the experience yeah or Let's see for a bar. I would say the Eagle. Yeah except don't go downstairs gets crazy. That's where the leather happens. So that Martin that part If I mean if you feel crazy you WANNA get crazy go down. They will go straight people still watch. I've never seen this person. Go down there but my buddies used to cook at the Eagle and he really years. They have good food long hair. He's looks like Terrib-. I Dunno fizzy gay or is he just worked there? You see straight. He was like tall duties drummer in a band. Anyways I've heard anecdotes of a straight couple in there one time and just got like their ass kicked like a guy and a girl that okay see. I wanted urban myth. I WanNa hear I heard my other buddy was in there and he overheard a guy saying I just got done raping a cop for everything that place the reason I say I guess I worry a better maybe a better example than the Eagle would be the nineteen. The nineteen is the oldest and I gave are in MINNEAP. Is that the one off Nicholas. Una almost on the edge of South Minneapolis. Yes called the nineteen bar camera or the St Zomba. Yeah it's like it's really just a really small town bar Americans to do a Lotta shows at the barbecue place on Nikolett. We do show to get The Scott Hanson. Yeah but remember the barbecue place. The pit barbecue pit area is right around. The corner is a drink there in between the shows and stuff just because bar and then camp and Saint Paul's really good one Only want to say away from if you don't want that is say away from the the clubs like nineties and saloon because those are meat markets guys are going there to hook up. That's strictly what they're doing right. And they're partying and they're doing drugs and that's if if that if you are want going to be a part of the gay community for a minute that's just like not the best version of it. In my opinion okay. The nineteen bars on West Fifteenth Street and Lasalle. That's that's a really classic bars totally. Just chill play Pool Darts. Hang on the back on the patio as just really okay. The only thing the reason you would know it was a gay bars because the jukebox plan fucking Geisha. It's raining men anti for seven and a good tunes on to Europe into the nineties. So the bubble foam party. Yeah meet me. I know all right. We're back here. We got Our Professional Gay Man Mad Iverson..

I was doing like bands from the time I was like sixteen to About Twenty Six. You're performing band yes And I did pretty well House doing that for that'd be my identity in high school was an abandoned house When you did a lot of really big ones contests. You know love performing. And by the time I was twenty six I was in my last band called patiently failing. And that's exactly what we did so Any other band names. My band name for a band called Head Rush. Atar player in the nose a singer in three different bands. One called ribbon one called a classroom. Gura and another called patiently failing. We're any of these All Gabe no. No there's all straight dudes. I was like I guess I don't know those that only token gay metal head guy out immigrants open about it. Yeah all the band members of all four bands new. Yeah Yeah it was Some of them played in the wake up on the road one day. And you're like second one off. Yeah didn't have. They didn't find out the fun way band. So much heavy metal with check your gay credentials real fast. Okay let's find out a little bit of that What Gay Subgroup do you consider yourself Ben and I'm speaking like bear cub in confused because Changes so often but I think the latest one is an otter. Okay explain that. I'm not really sure I think it's I think it means it's like you're like a bear but you're Like small and size and everything but to basically because I'm small and hairy and I'm not a bear because bears a big okay and cubs are just young bears. I'm not that young. Okay technically being hotter and you can swim. Well actually can't is there. Is there a urban dictionary reference for Otter? Yeah I'm trying to find it right now. came in who's very hairy all over his body but a smaller frame in weights consider canal less than a bear but what are some of the other groups There's a lot of all animal related. Is that no and actually that would be like Chris. Khalida or be a panda. It'd be Chinese bear. Oh there you go. Yeah Avon Bayer Koala now like gay slander in racism. The great common always win. Yeah there's you know there's a bears and cubs and then it goes to you know tw- inks and. Oh yeah the twain tweaks in Queens between now between sort of the the the feminist just think like glitter like the movie or the no glitter in general and some like really gay guy okay. Wink would any others. Yeah I mean then they then they get kind of offensive but then there's like lesbians have Lipstick Bunch. Let's lipsticks or my favorite. My favorite gay subcategory. If you into the butch lesbians I would. I would think there was an issue there. That's like that's like your news game this year in a dude's with the vagina go with. Is there any sort of like dues? One sort of a gay guy like doesn't otter go well with a bear. Does a Queen Komal? When it doesn't make sense got a couple of here. We can go through if you guys want. There's an E walk asks okay. Now I have a new favorite category. What is a bear if of short stature but not younger chaser who somebody who's attracted to bears and or chubs but is not as part of the bear culture you're chaser? Aren't you have assured that those hunter who same thing? There's a Chub which we can all figure out on her own yeah there's a muscle bear. Ursula is a lesbian bear which that's interesting. That's a new. It's a great name I've met a few goldilocks is a straight straight straight woman friendly with bears FAG. Okay that's what I'm thinking that there's a fruit fly. Yeah that's that's a good one. Yeah I heard that one before anything else. Polar bear an older bear whose facial and body here is predominantly or entirely white or gray LLC transition to that as you. Wow so otter you can be an honor and then you can get to bear transcend. You've got a lot to look forward to. Yeah Menagerie the last one I got. Here's a wolf. It's a slimmer bear with the behavioral characteristic of sexual assertiveness or aggression. Yeah if I muscled. Wolf cottage grove is riddled with wool. That went to my high school's name was Wolfpack Teen Wolf. A whole different is the female equivalent of an Otter beaver or is that just while they call the beavers up-close. Let's go trump When did you first realize that you were a game in a joke that starts out with that exact same question But I always knew always knew like Like when you immediately became sexually like when you went to maturity as as I was really young too what age and this is like shocking to some people but I wanna say I was having urges at like five six really. Yeah but not not sexual. Maybe just compulsions towards stuff or no. There's actual really. Yeah you wanted to dress nice and none of that. I didn't get those good ones. Got The deviants running run a clean house giving us some examples of what you will your urges. Yeah I would say to be honest. I I tried anal sex for the first time when I was eight really giving receiving giving perfectly healthy duluth to who does kid my daycare was he with it or is he like play. Gi joes he was passed out on cough syrup. No he was he was into. It slipped the milky now. He was into it We would go out. Sneak up stairs and it. Let's go play. Sex is what let's go play sex oven. We're we're talking. Flaccid Penis pushed into a tight. But right now I had a hard on you. I would get weird random ones like just like just like what the fuck is this thing doing what to do I remember. I don't remember if they started at eight years old but eight to use it sexually to have that to know that. That's that's rare. Have you talked to chosen one to assuming you have gay friends you gave do you have do? They have similar experiences. Or are they that maybe a thing now? There is a lot more than you think. Guys that were Which I thought was a stupid question of like for a long time of like. When did you know but I guess people? Some people really didn't know for a certain amount of time but for me it was it was there was never a thought. So as just as long as I could Be Sexual like from the first instinct. I was like okay. This is what I'm into. I'm just not going to talk about it. There's nothing wrong with it but I'm just GONNA keep it to myself while so there was. There was no fear. Now wasn't scary to you and confusing to like this fills. I just knew that was what I wanted and I just I didn't really. I mean fear of consequences of getting caught. I mean that was horrible but the actual like identity part. It was fine. How long did it take you to tell your parents about that My I came out at seventeen right after high school. Okay yeah so that was the same thing where I remember one thing I remember was my mom said you know. Are you sure you know? I'm like no I just you know it's just a fad. It's cool but she was an she's like well. Maybe you just haven't met the right woman yet. You know and I have a brother who is a is a man. Hor- I mean. He fucked anything that walked in high school and I looked to her and I just said mom. Would you ever say to Dan? Maybe you just haven't found the right man yet. How do you know you're into chicks? You know and she's like okay. Okay call stupid. Sorry when like you mentioned you came out right after high school. Was that plan thing like hey. I don't WanNa face the highschool like yeah. Let's wait till we're out of this house win. Wait till a point. I mean if I would have found a relationship in high school I would have been into it but I wasn't a heavy metal band like I said I was doing pretty good and I kind of was like well. It's not GonNa help me and my metal band so I wasn't afraid of it at the time but For the most part I was looking for their wellbeing because the heavy metal just like any other Alpha male category of sports. Or you know music. It's it's really. You know gays week except metals. No different punk gets a pass in that world kyw. Yeah I suppose I begged punk. There's there's a band called limp wrist. That's all Gabe and Jello. Biafra the lead singer of the dead Kennedys Henry rollins bisexual. I've heard that like to find out because he's attractive. Man Here's a ends a man. He's a handsome man. He's a handsome and I'd like to fill as dimple with something. Was your mom. The first person you told. No my friend bobby shoes my head okay. She's my number One Hague and I had that part. What Age was this? Seventeen seventy yup and once. I told one person it was just done. I'm told everybody were their encounters a in highschool besides play sex at eight. No actually that was headed like super super early and the nothing until I was twenty one. I didn't lose my virginity tells like two thousand watts drives. Yeah I mean.

"Once again to the filter. Free America podcast. And I am tickled pink that we are back together again Let's talk about the episode. A heads up this is another classic episode of the Filter Free America podcast but holy. Fuck balls is this one of the funniest episodes I've ever recorded The guest is episode is a gentleman by the name of Matt. Iverson met at the time of this recording. Originally record in September of two thousand thirteen was an aspiring comedian. Matt has now moved onto focusing on getting a degree and an addiction counseling license and we wishing the best of luck with that but again this episode at the time of its recording. He was Pursuing comedy and that's how I got to know him as I mentioned. This episode is one of the funniest that I've that I've ever recorded. The topic of this interview as the title implied is about Matt Being Gay. Yeah that's right. That's gay dude. So we brought him in. We wanted to talk to him. Have a conversation with him and learn what it's like to be Through the eyes of a gay person and learn their kind of their experience at least His unique experience So in his interview with me Matt Iverson of course A comedian Mike Lester who is acting as the CO host in this episode and Tony Way you met. Who was my producer for the filter? Free America podcasts at that time. So it's all of us together on this episode together talking to Matt and learning about Live a gay dude. We definitely talk about it. All to We talk about when Matt discovered his gayness His first gay experience the pressure of becoming openly gay. And of course gay discrimination now. Of course it wouldn't be a filter free America podcast episode without digging into the sex topic when appropriate to do so and we definitely learned a lot about gay sex including things like anal poppers in Hanky Code. If you don't know what that is I didn't know what it was either before. Having the conversation you will learn in this episode so fair warning. It gets sexually graphic fucking at times but above all else. If you're familiar with the gays are you still cling to the silly idea? That people shouldn't love who they want to love and be happy Doing their own thing. That doesn't hurt you at all This episode puts a very human face on the gay experience.

I wouldn't wanna watch shat having never played in his prime against the bonus against Rick Smith's against Patrick Ewing against you on the list goes on and on. So I always had that for dealer because he was so dominant in was great. But I'm talking about the guys from my Iran watch trade against shack in his prime. So it wasn't about it wasn't about making a team that could mansion in when a championship or anything like that. It was just my favorite five guys. I got a lot or that. He's a sniper extraordinaire, and if you put Kevin Durant on the team with the other four guys you mentioned, it's perfection. That's how okay, and you and you look at it from from my perspective one time. Okay. Okay. I'll tell you. What if I had a Michael Jordan, and I had a guy that was similar. Piper Jordan, I want that guy. I had three other guys joy. I want 'em to you know, what I mean? That's just that's how it is. I mean, that's the greatest to ever play the game. And that says a lot about Kobe even compare him to might say a lot about the Brian. You can even compare Him him. to my definitely not a man to be declared to the greatest to ever play the game.
