There Are Alternatives to Twitter
"So Twitter's back up and running, you can, I guess, feel free to say what you want now. And a lot of people I've seen a lot of friends who lost their accounts, they have been restored. That's all good, but will it matter? Again, there are other alternatives out there. I'm on true social as well, parlor, of course, has come about and had its own set of challenges. There's locals as well. I encourage you, by the way, you can follow me on locals at Trish Regan locals dot com, where they really are about promoting this freedom of speech within a decent way, right? I mean, we're not talking total craziness, but the ability at least to have an opinion. And in this environment, it's gotten hard. If I tell you to consecutive quarters of negative growth for our economy, means a recession, then somehow now I'm questioned by social media platforms for false information. I mean, hey, look, no recession is the same. But it used to be the definition of a recession. Now you can't say it anymore because Joe Biden doesn't want us to. I mean, that's scary stuff, folks, all right? And either side of the aisle. Remember that? Because it can just as easily be the Democrats that they're going after next. So even if Democrats are going after conservatives and all you can't say it's a recession that could so easily flip and that's the scary part about all of that. Isn't it? But lots of changes coming. I think January is going to prove to be a very interesting month. Don't you think? Don't you think I want to tell you about Kevin McCarthy? But before I do, did you see who's crawling around here? Right here on my lap. This is fluffy. If you haven't met fluffy, this is indeed him. He is the sweetest little thing and so important to me. I love this dog so much and it's the reason why I'm excited to tell you about a wonderful supplement that I found for him created by a former army veteran, an army veteran, a former army ranger named doctor Dennis black, and doctor black is naturopathic doctor, has created this supplement because he loves donks too and he's got a couple of them a little bit bigger than you fluffy, a little bit, but fluffy's just a little tiny Maltese. I encourage you if you're listening on Apple iTunes, go check out my YouTube channel or my rumble channel so you can see this guy in the flesh, but I love him. He goes a lot of places with me. And it's very important part of my life. And so I want to make sure that he is getting the proper nutrients. So this is why I have doctor Dennis black supplement for fluffy that I just add, I sprinkle onto his food every single day, because then I know he's getting the digestive enzymes. He's getting the minerals. He's getting the probiotics. All the things that he needs to have a long and healthy, happy life. Well, hopefully I will. A little bit responsible for some of that happiness, right, buddy. Anyway, I encourage you to check it out. Doctor Dennis black has a wonderful offer for free trial bag for Friends of mine, Friends of this show fans of this show. I'm going to include this link below in the show notes. But go to rough greens dot com today. Are you FF green's dot com today? Are you FF greens dot com today? Get your free trial back. It's really worth it. This is a wonderful supplement. Your dog will thank you. I promise. And your dog will love it. I mean, I'd be shocked. If it was any other way, because I know how much this guy I know how much he loves it, so I'm pretty sure your dog will as well. Anyway, back to what's happening there in Washington, D.C., as I keep him right here on my lap, I might as well, right? These little animals, they're pretty special. They're pretty special. Anyway, you've got chemical McCarthy planning some big changes. Now that he's going to be Speaker of the House. And it looks like Adam Schiff. And perhaps some of these others, like AOC, they're on the skids when it comes to the house Intel committee. As they should be, I mean, when you think about some of the things that have been done, who's the other one, the one that had the friendship with the lovely young woman. Fang fang, was it? From China, that's kind of something I wish I could forget. Anyway, we can't. I would argue rather compromise position there because she is alleged to have been a Chinese spy. Kind of strange to him to have him on the foreign affairs community here in the Intel committee. So I think that you're going to see a big revamp coming of some of these committees where there are sensitive positions and you have people that maybe don't like Israel or have had questionable relationships with people like fang thing. Are going to come into question and as they should. And that's going to result in some changes. Look, I think we need more responsibility in Washington. I really do. I think that people are shooting off their mouse in ways that are unbecoming, frankly, to themselves, and to the nation. And we've got to remember, in fact, who our allies are, one of which, of course, major ally, being Israel. So there's an important some important things that are going to be happening. And I'd say, in that sense, very good things that are going to be happening. But they're not going to go down without a fight. So gear up, be ready. In the meantime, let's all look forward to some Thanksgiving Thanksgiving which, by the way, we're going to talk about this tomorrow. Is suddenly super, super pricey. Have you seen the price said the turkey dinner this year? We'll talk about it. Great to have you here. Make sure you go to Trish Intel dot com. Bloomberg Radio New York
"itunes" Discussed on Bloomberg Radio New York
"The Bloomberg business app or iTunes. Will the U.S. and China are nearing a deal to avoid mass de listings over audit supervision. This agreement lets American auditors go to Hong Kong to check the records of Chinese companies listed in New York, but if the agreement falls through more than 200 U.S. listed Chinese companies, face de listings from American stock exchanges starting in early 2024. Here to discuss a strategy risks founder and CEO Isaac stone fish Isaac, great to have you with us in your view how likely is it that this agreement actually goes through? I think it's very likely that the agreement will go through what I'm more uncertain about is whether it will solve what the U.S. government wants it to solve namely equal treatment for Chinese companies and U.S. companies and other global companies. And whether or not it will actually stem the tide of worsening U.S. China relations, which seem increasingly likely to lead to all out conflict or war. And do you think such big, big hurdles such as that could ever be solved? Is there any agreement that could go through that would satisfy all those requirements? No. No. Okay. Well, let's talk about the ramifications here. If this doesn't, of course, this agreement, like you're saying, doesn't go far enough in your view. But if it doesn't go through at all, what are the ramifications of that? What is actually at stake here? It seems what the Chinese side is doing is buying time. There's still our roughly 18 months or so until the companies would have to do list. I think probably the idea is we'll sign this. The U.S. side will try to implement it. They'll find a lot of stonewalling on the Chinese side. And by 2024, things will be different enough that we'll be able to keep moving the goalposts and keep pushing the can down the road and figure something out then. It doesn't feel like this is a very big concession. It feels like this is a very good stalling technique. So that companies on both sides and investors on both sides don't see Beijing communicating that they're not really open for business. So if that's the future, we're looking forward to that the goal post just continue to move forward just a series of stalling techniques. Do you think that we'll ever actually see these delistings go through? That's a great question. I think the question of whether or not these companies will be list will depend so much more on the macro environment at the time. So we saw a significant deal with things earlier in the month from several large SOEs, presumably because they didn't want any U.S. linked auditors anywhere near their books. I think it's possible that if U.S. China relations worsen certain companies will be lists, maybe not even because of this, but because of other considerations, and I think certainly a lot of promising Chinese companies are finding it less appealing to list on U.S. markets and are looking closer to home for their capital raises. So why is that? Why is listing on U.S. exchanges maybe not the Holy Grail or the big goal that it might have once been? A lot of it is Beijing and the Chinese Communist Party is increasing paranoia about data and data security. And a lot of folks believe this has to do with Beijing really fearing that the U.S. is going to go to war with China against Taiwan if Beijing were to seize the island and national security is really coming into the forefront. There's expression in China that in China, politics dominance, and I think we're seeing that not only with domestic politics, but really with foreign policy and national security as a major, major force driving Beijing's decisions. Isaac, who has more to lose here if we make it sort of a binary conversation. I mean, is it more important for a Chinese company to list on a U.S. exchange or is it more important for that U.S. exchange to have those Chinese companies? That's a great question. I think it's pretty even. I think from a broader perspective, it's investors who lose because of less choice, less efficient markets, and really what we're seeing on both sides is the U.S. and China prioritizing national security. And that's what governments do. And that's what investors often don't like governments to do. But that's really the new reality, the new base case for U.S. China relations. So investors thinking about various equities should really have a national security strategy in mind as they make decisions. And Isaac going with your expectation that really we just continue to stall and stall. What do you think could happen along the way in terms of the Chinese tech crackdown, for example, dude, do we expect to see delistings even if not forced to, for example? I think that's really possible. And I think one thing investors have to keep an eye out is both Beijing and the U.S. is worried about U.S. companies in China and Chinese companies in America. So if, for example, this seems to move forward and then there's some corruption allegations against a Chinese company on the U.S. exchange, Beijing could retaliate against an American company in China, it's also possible that investors start to feel like the markets and the other country are a lot less appealing and the government's respond accordingly. I do feel like there's a lot of people with large positions in China who want you to believe that this is business as normal. And it's really not. And Beijing has been very explicit about that. So this to me is not the key signal. This is part of the noise. All right, Isaac, we have to leave it there. Really appreciate your time, though. That is strategy risks founder and CEO Isaac stonefish. Coming up, Twitter's whistleblower, now subpoenaed by Elon Musk's team. What that means for the rest of the trial next. This is Bloomberg.

Beyonce's Album Has Been a Disaster
"Beyoncé's album has been a disaster. As of last week, the album sold just 475,000 copies according to illuminate and hit daily double and sales are down a whopping 74%. Renaissance has scored just one hit single with a song called break my soul. And that song now sits at number 15 on iTunes, there's a remix with Madonna that shit out at number 55 and now Beyoncé is going to try a new single next week. But I'm telling you, her ship has kind of sailed. She's got to go back to doing what she did best. The problem she has is obvious to me. She has a voice that should be soaring over radio stations all day long. But I think her choice of material is terrible.

Scott Baio and Dinesh Discuss the Decline of the Movie Business
"I'm back with actor and writer and producer Scott baio, Scott, we were actually talking about movie distribution and you said that you're looking forward to seeing 2000 mules tonight, even though you've seen some of the clips and things about it, I mean, this is a movie that we had to release in an age of censorship. And so our normal distribution, which is, you know, Amazon Prime and Apple iTunes. I'm like, I'm not gonna put the movie on these cancellable platforms. And so, I mean, we're in an industry movies, you of course have been all your life in movies that seems to be changing dramatically, doesn't it? Changing how. Well, because I think we're on the same page. Let's go ahead. Yeah, I mean, I mean in two ways, first of all, you know, I think back to when I came to America in the late 70s, early 80s. And there were just really good movies and by good movies, I mean they had plot, they had character, they had suspense. They had all the elements that make a movie. Now you have to sort of drag me to the movies because I find that those basic elements of storytelling seem to have been lost, so I mean, on the substantive side, but then I also mean that Hollywood has essentially become this kind of regimented one party state within a state. Yeah. Well, first of all, I think the movie business it's become a movie about tentpole movies, which is all the marvel movies and the big giant movies. It's hard for a small story. And I like marvel movies. I do. But it's hard for smaller movies to get any sort of attraction. In terms of television, it seems that they want to shock people into watching shows. And I can never understand that. I mean, you know, I grew up in a different time, I guess I was on television at a different time. There are, I would say a large majority of this country that really would like to see a good solid decent television

Mark Levin
Dinesh D'Souza: '2000 Mules' Required Different Type of Release Plan
"You this How long is this film It's 90 minutes length of a typical documentary And it's being released in a very novel way because normally my films have a wide theatrical release than they go on Amazon Prime or iTunes but we live in such an era of censorship that I had to sort of develop a new type of business plan to do this And so we have a limited theatrical release on May 2nd and May 4th We have an in home virtual premiere on May 7th And all of this information by the way is on the website which is just simply 2000 mules dot com The number 2000 mules dot com But then the movie is going to go into digital download And I'm really happy that the video platform called rumble is getting behind the movie completely They are going to put it up on their platform called locals And they're going to promote the movie heavily So I'm delighted that there's going to be some counterforce against the kind of censorship that I otherwise would have to fight I have it even put the trailer up on like Facebook or YouTube because I would be immediately banned

Dinesh Reveals Different Ways to See and Share '2000 Mules'
"It's so exciting with the movie right around the corner, basically next week is our premiere week. And I kind of want to go over some ways in which you can watch the movie. And I also hope that you'll help us get the word out about the movie. Remember, we're releasing this movie in a very novel way because we're in an age of censorship. And so the normal places that I put movies, which as you find them in Apple, iTunes, and Amazon Prime, no. This movie is not going to be available in those ways. Now, it is in limited theater is 300 or so theaters, and you can go to the website 2000 meals dot com, put in your state, it'll tell you the theater is now a lot of our theaters are filling up really fast. So if you want to see this movie in the theater, kind of act now. But don't be disappointed if you can't because we might do another one day theatrical, a little later in the month. And moreover, there is a virtual premiere, a virtual premiere is basically an in home premiere. So what do you do? You basically buy a ticket, you have sent an access code, you log in, you click on the access code, and this is all happening on Saturday, may 7th. At 8 p.m. eastern. And it's fantastic. There'll be an introductory program W is actually going to sing live. Then we're going to show the movie, and then there's a live Q&A with some of the key figures in the movie. So this is actually a full program and exciting program out of a magnificent 360° round studio in Las Vegas. We'll be there in person. You'll be watching online, and it's for the same price as a movie ticket. It's a fantastic deal. So if you go on the website just so you'll see the little tab for virtual premiere, click on that. By the way, a small number of people can be there in person. It's more expensive, but if you feel like going to Las Vegas that weekend, this is not this weekend, but next weekend, then you can come in

'Mr. Reagan' Creator Chris Kohls Describes the Pop Culture Success of 'Let's Go Brandon'
"Welcome back to one on one with mister Reagan. Let's turn Chris to because I want to get the sense from you a world that I don't understand. Let's talk a little bit about media. You have to be cautious. That's why you've created this alter egos and these fantasy stories you tell about certain elections on your YouTube channel. How are you doing, by the way? Are you being throttled are you being demonetized? How are the the Palo Alto big tech overlords treating mister Reagan? I do think some of some of the restrictions have been lifted recently, and I'm not really sure why. But I had this video about let's go brand and you know the let's go Brandon phenomenon. I decided to recap that because it was something that I started to see on Twitter and I follow this stuff kind of closely, so I kind of understood what it was pretty quickly. But I realized most Americans did not understand what let's go Brandon was. They didn't understand where it came from. They didn't understand all the phenomena that went along with it. And I said, okay, let me just do a comprehensive video about the let's go Brandon movement. And I did this video and it's up to, I think, almost 400,000 views now. So we're doing pretty good. Yeah, that one just really blew up. That was I think a lot of people were curious. Like, I don't understand this. Let's go Brandon thing. So my video, I think is the number one, let's go brand and video on YouTube. That's not like a music video. You know, there's all these songs that have come out. And then I was able to interview this guy, loser, Alexander, who you should have on your show by the way. Great guys. Yes, yes, yes, yes. His song went number one on iTunes, right? He had the song the hook is, you know what they say in hoe. That's the hook of the song. It's a great song. It's like it's very catchy. Most of America just fell in love with this song, and then Bryson gray came out with a song that got actually banned on YouTube because he mentioned COVID pandemic stuff. And so his song then went number one. We've had some on this show. He's great. He's great. He's a great guy. He's a great, but I think part of the success of his version was people thinking they were buying lows version and they bought his version instead. And so his so Lowe's is a little bit irritated. He's like, what is going on? I mean, they're both good songs. They're both good songs, or like I can say anything bad about either of them, but so I got loser on the show and because he's out here in LA. And he's a really good guy. You know, he's a strong Christian. He's a good guy. And strong conservative Trump supporter and just really cool song and a lot of fun. Anyway, so some of my videos have been doing pretty well. Others struggle a little bit, but then, you know, they're not all

Anti-Biden Rap Song ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ Reaches Top Spot on iTunes Chart
"So for those of you that don't know, maybe you've been, I don't know, in a coma, the last three weeks or I don't know, navigating the islands of Thailand or something, and you just haven't been really queued into the news cycle or maybe you were in honeymoon and Sri Lanka. I don't know. So there was a Nat. There's a NASCAR driver. His name is Brandon. And he's actually competing soon in Phoenix, I found that mistaken. I don't know his last name. And so Brandon won this NASCAR event, and the crowd started his name is Brandon Brown. The crowd started to chant F Joe Biden and the announcer a lot of people went and attacked the announcer. I actually think she was kind of creative and she unintentionally now gave us a non vulgar way to now say this. So then she says, oh, they're all saying, let's go Brandon. They weren't saying, let's go Brandon. And it was just so comically wrong. It was just so off of the beat and like she had to do her bastion didn't want to get an FCC complaint. She obviously was trying to keep it focused on the try to keep it focused on the sports story. Do I think she intentionally lied? Yeah, of course she did. She knew they weren't saying that, obviously. And so she knew they weren't saying, let's go Brandon. But I think she unintentionally created the movement where now et cetera. Okay, so this chant let's go Brandon is everywhere. Last night at our event, Boise, people were just coming up and chanting, let's go Brandon. And it kind of has these kind of alternate meeting. It's like it's anti media. It's anti buy it and it's all over the place. It's also pro brand. We're very pro brand. And so let's go to cut 41. Harris falconer saying, let's go brand and song has now hit the number one on itune over Adele, skinny Adele now at new skinny Adele's new song. Okay, cut 41. And as the president deals with that favorability issue, problem, disaster. The anti Biden chance, let's go Brandon, which you know are kind of code for cleaning up what they're really saying. But anyway, let's go Brandon. Now, hitting the iTunes top. Talk to hip hop songs. They now sit one and two on iTunes downloads ahead of Adele's new song. Number one and two, we're always told conservatives need to take back the culture where it's happening

Biden urges UK and EU to preserve Northern Irish peace amid Brexit row
"Good. Friday agreement of nineteen ninety-eight ended thirty years of conflicts between mostly catholic nationalists fighting for a united ireland and mostly protestant loyalists who want northern ireland to stay part of the united kingdom. But now the accord is in jeopardy. According to david campbell chairman of the loyalist community's council. He's calling for dialogue with the eu and island to change the northern irish protocol. That he believes has breached fundamental principles of the original deal. This follows an announcement from loyalist paramilitary groups that they were temporarily withdrawing support for the peace agreement due to concerns over the brexit deal but it has further repercussions beyond europe to has been mcevoy news a political reporter and monocle twenty four regular and has been covering. The story is here to tell us. Good morning to you. Vinian thanks for joining us at. This is clearly a big problem. Here in britain and for the eu. Why is it resonating across the atlantic. Good morning yet has huge resignation across the atlantic you have a massive irish diaspora in america. One in ten americans consider themselves to be from irish descent. You go to the half american presidents having lineage and the man in the white house now is probably the most closely itunes irish issues. That has been since john f. kennedy and so we've now got the brexit arrangement in place in old nada and there was a reason why the northern irish people voted most strongly than any nation in the united kingdom to remain in the eu. Because it is a self-described post conflict society. Those wounds were still hearing and brexit has opened them up and caused issues and as well as the united kingdom and the eu the us will say played a big role in achieving peace in northern ireland. And it is worried that the westminster government has been to a reckless in its handling of northern ireland and things could start to come upon say loyalists particularly angry. We have to remember over the course of brexit with theresa may. She didn't have a majority off to the two thousand seventeen election. so she's struck this alliance with dp which is the main loyalist party. She gave them all kinds of funding for that backing To get her brexit deal through it contains something cold the irish back stock which they became unhappy with that it would have prevented having border arrangements of they were the ones who encouraged conservative backbenchers to keep looking at so now the situation is that. Despite bar johnson's promises he is betrayed. Loyalist parties in northern ireland in that he has allowed the creation of an irish seaboard between nineteen noland and the rest of the united kingdom. And so it is that that has enraged loyalists because they think that it is a barrier between them and the rest of the u. k. That isolates them and that it leads to more synchronization with the republican violence because north non has stayed in single markets and not go on with the rest of the united kingdom. So of course. We know that the have been major power players struggling currently with the brexit rules and their supporters. What does this mean for northern. Ireland's devolved government. Yeah we have to remember. The nolansville government was actually suspended for three years until january loss. If it had been an independent country it would have been the longest in europe to not have to working governments But what it means now is that we've had them up running for a year and all kinds of problems are coming up. So you know the prime minister. Boris johnson traveled. Auden's elliott this This month he actually didn't meet with chimp Sane the other main partners in that power sharing agreement that has said waves. That says you know. The the westminster copy relied on his effect on governors of. What's going on there. It's only dealing with one of the parties but the loyalists themselves having problems in their ranks. Because of this seaboard you had a administer effectively northern ireland a playing a sort of unilaterally moves late on friday nights a few weeks ago where he sort of blocks the construction of the border checks at poets and the hiring of staff unilaterally and that really set things off because they're just trying to frustrate the creation of this border which brussels assigned up to the uk has signed up to in law and for the first time last week the biden white house made clear that it supports the northern ireland tricycle. And that everyone else. Apart from the loyalist consider this now a settled issue to move on
